Shannon, with the first Dirty of the Morning, what are we trending with this morning?

Well, now 10 people have lost their lives. More than 9,000 structures have been damaged or destroyed. Almost 20,000 acres gone, and at least 140,000 residents are under evacuation orders in L.A. That is the latest this morning. And experts say L.A. is not out of danger yet by any means. And these fires have the potential to be the costliest wildfire disaster in American history. You guys, this morning, firefighters continue to battle multiple major wildfires. I saw this woman being interviewed yesterday. And man, it just broke my heart to hit her three-year-old little girl with her.

What happened on the night that you guys had to evacuate? We were having dinner. I told my three-year-old and my one-year-old that I told them that we're having a fancy candlelight dinner because the power went out. And then we looked outside, we saw a huge fire, and we just packed whatever we can, and we ran out. It was chaos. On the streets, people were trying to get up. We thought we were going to come back tomorrow, so we didn't even pack anything. We had nothing. We left everything with our three-year-old, and my three-year-old keeps asking me, Mom, when are we going to go home? My mom passed away. We had only a few things of hers left. My wedding dress, our wedding album. We left everything. our albums are we have just whatever we're wearing we're wearing the same thing for the last two days what's next for you or do you even know what's next i'm just trying to i'm trying to

figure out how to tell my three-year-old that we don't have a home wow i um no she mentioned like we didn't pack any clothes or do anything one of my favorite online influencers um ethan klein and his wife ahila they own a clothing company called teddy fresh and they have like podcasts and stuff you might know him from h3 your frenemies they put out a social media post saying if you're in the area and your home was burned down if you send them an email they will ship you a box of

clothes to wherever you're a lot of that happening i'd love to see it yeah an update on something related to this that we talked about yesterday the nfl is officially moving the playoff game between the rams and the vikings to state farm stadium in glendale arizona that decision was announced last night. It was made in the interest of public safety. And the fires, in addition to all of the devastation that they're causing to property, it's filling the air around LA with really, really heavy smoke, which could be hazardous to air quality. So it's going to Arizona. That game's still scheduled to kick off at eight o'clock on ABC and ESPN. Ed Sheeran announced something new that he's doing. It's called the Ed Sheeran Foundation. And the goal of this new foundation is to help kids learn to play instruments, as well as learn production, song writing, performance skills, and apprenticeship schemes to teach them about all of the different skills and things and ways to enter the music industry, which I kind of love. Very cool. I haven't heard from him in a minute.

No. He's kind of been spending time with just his family. His family, yeah.

fear of missing out has been replaced by jomo the joy of missing out yes i love this yeah we have a writer uh cheryl burke wrote an essay for today.com about how her resolution is all about embracing the joy of missing out there's so much pressure for us to say yes to every invitation to constantly be keeping up with social media, to, like, do all the things. And she's like, sometimes it's okay to just, you know, say no to something and not feel guilty about it, sit on your couch, binge a little bit, and just not feel like you have to do all the things all the time.
