Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

We'll get you caught up on what's trending in the Dirty on the 30. I'm excited about this. Shannon's got some sports stories.

I am not excited about this first story, though. And Mojo, you know how much of a nightly news junkie I am. More so, I used to be. It's so depressing right now. It's hard to watch. But NBC nightly news anchor Lester Holt is leaving. He made that announcement yesterday that he's going to be leaving the broadcast at the start of the summer. It wasn't really specific. But he's been there for more than a decade. Now, if you are a Lester fan, as I am, the good news is that he is not leaving the network. He will continue to host my favorite show, Dateline. So he's staying put for that.

Well, and the thing that we've learned, too, when you have Dateline NBC or, what is it, 2020, the one that's on ABC, when you have that on your record, you end up having reruns nonstop forever on all those cable channels because they run Dateline, it seems like, all the time on television these days.

Yeah, you can watch Dateline on demand. you could watch it any night that you want really and like some of the other NBC offshoot channels you know it's so confusing now. You know what I'm thinking though

I think this Lester Holt thing is not him retiring or just walking away. I heard that the TV stations like the networks are losing their asses and we're starting to see like a lot of the main anchor guys like Devin Skillion over at Channel 4 and a bunch of other people locally I think that they're losing ad revenue and I think that they're asking these people to retire or take buyouts which kind of makes me sad that that that's where kind of television has gone but people don't

really watch news that much on television yeah and NBC by the way has not said who they are going to replace Lester with just yet the Philadelphia Eagles are planning to visit the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl victory if they're invited and I say I say it like that they are going because I saw in a few different places that the team was planning on skipping the tradition that's not true as far as I've heard so if you saw the rumor that the Eagles front office gave a massive no when asked if they would accept a White House invitation if they won the championship. I'm hearing that that was not the case at all. That did not happen. Skip, do you mean? Mm-hmm. Yeah. They said this year the Eagles are planning to go.

They're also, by the way, today I think it is the NFL officially got noticed from some of the other teams that they want to make the tush push illegal. Yeah, I saw that.

Of course they want to.

They say that the Green Bay Packers are the team that's the biggest proponent or opponent of the tush push because they say that this happened to them a few times. You guys know what the tush push is, Shannon and Megan?

Worker back sneak? No. Yeah.

Sounds fun. It's not that tush push, but they say that it should be illegal. And I don't know, Kev, where do you stand on tush push? I like it.

I like it a lot. Why don't the other teams do it? I don't know. They're not as successful. I mean, you saw what happened with Josh Allen and the Bills. They just didn't run it right. They call it something else, don't they?

The Buffalo Bomber or something? I don't know.

But I will say, going back to your initial story about teams choosing whether or not they want to go to the White House, depending upon who they support and who the president is, I think it should be a rule that the league in steals and whatever league it is, that no matter who wins the championship, it's not up to y'all if y'all want to go. Y'all have to go. Like, that's a part of winning the championship.

I agree with you. I really, really do. I disagree. I don't think it should matter. It's respect for the office. I think it's respect. Yeah.

Why is it even a thing? You know what I mean? The fact that we put sports so intertwined with politics just in general anyways to me is weird.

See, I think it's, to me, if I got invited to go to the White House by any president, I don't care who it would be, I'm going to the White House. I went to the White House. I got to go. Gary Peters, our senator, got me and my family a chance to go and do a tour of the White House, which was one of the coolest things. President Obama was not there when we did it. I think that he was visiting some other country or whatever. He was doing one of the foreign visits that they do. I disagree. I will tell you, it was one of the coolest things that we were able to do. Now, we were only allowed to go to certain areas, which was kind of boring. But that's the coolest place ever.

Do you think it's a country thing, not a president thing?

Yeah. I agree.

I don't know. In other Sports Dirty, two back-to-back Sports Dirty stories. What is wrong with me today? I don't know. For the first time in a decade, the Detroit Pistons have won seven straight games after the W that went down over the visiting Clippers last night. This is Cade Cunningham in a clip that really has gone viral in the past 48 hours, I would say.

Sending doubles past half court. What I said earlier, don't touch me, I'm sizzling.

Bro, K coming off his off, we really got a winner. Sometimes you don't know if a number one pick is going to pan out. We've seen it happen before where you get the highest of heights like LeBron, and then I won't poo-poo on anybody. But there are some number ones that didn't even make it to their third season. But K, man, he's averaging like 30, 10, and 7 over his last seven. We really got a star. And not only on the court, he's a great guy in the community as well.

Kev, I was watching Inside the NBA with our hottie that we love so much. That's your girl. I love her. Malika Andrews. Malika Andrews.

Yeah.

And they were saying yesterday the best trade that didn't happen, they said that the Pistons were contemplating trading Duren to Los Angeles. Yep.

L.A. needed a big man, and they reached out and inquired about getting Jalen Duren, and we said no. Oh, wait. That would have been so dumb.

I got a pedicure next to him last week. Did you really? Jalen Duren. Yeah, and you know what? There was this man who was sitting across from him also getting a pedicure and would not leave him alone and stop asking questions. And I'm like, this guy, he was with maybe a, I don't know if he's married or a girlfriend or something. No, he was with, or maybe a friend. I don't even know, to be honest with you. They weren't being like lovey-dovey or whatever. But I was like, let the man enjoy his pedicure with his friend.

Poor guy.

Yeah. What did his feet look like? He was very, very, very nice. I was trying to not be a creep, so I did not look at his feet.

I bet you, though, it's funny.

He did not opt for color or buff.

To me, that's great, though, that he takes care of his feet because he needs those, man. That guy's got some hops. Moneymaker.

And lastly, another crazy airline story in the Dirty This Morning. A Delta Airlines flight bound for South Carolina was forced to return to Atlanta yesterday morning when smoke filled the entire cabin. And this is just two days after something very similar diverted another Delta flight to L.A. So this flight was in the air. 99 passengers and crew on board when the pilot had to really quickly turn the plane around, land back at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Everybody evacuated on emergency slides. There were no injuries from what I've heard, but the videos that passengers were posting, I mean, it was basically just dark, dark smoke that was filling the cabin, and they all had to get out. The FAA said it is going to be investigating this. Let me take a stab. It was a Boeing. It was Boeing.
