Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:02:44 - 00:02:47 | Speaker 6:

We'll get you caught up on what's trending in the Dirty on the 30s. Shannon, good morning.

00:02:47 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. Superstars of the music world are mourning the death of Ozzy Osbourne this morning.

00:02:54 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God, Ozzy. Ozzy, why'd you die? What?

00:03:01 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 4:

It's kind of sad when you get, like, the text message alert that somebody passed away, and you're like, yeah. Y'all say it, come in threes. We had Malcolm the other day. Now we got Ozzy.

00:03:13 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 6:

what is happening

00:03:14 - 00:03:39 | Speaker 4:

Elton John calling the Black Sabbath frontman a dear friend, huge trailblazer and one of the funniest people he's ever met Rod Stewart writing on social media bye bye Ozzy, sleep well my friend I'll see you up there later rather than sooner and Brian May, the guitarist of Queens said Ozzy's final concert earlier this month just two and a half weeks ago was just a glorious way to say goodbye Gene Simmons of the band Kiss

00:03:39 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 2:

you saw him and your jaw dropped. This guy just walked out and there's a madness to follow him. The eulogy for Ozzy should be written by the fans. He invented

00:03:50 - 00:03:56 | Speaker 4:

himself. 76 years old died surrounded by his family and friends. Do you remember this?

00:03:57 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 6:

You know what that is, right? Don't you? What is that? Theme song to the Osbournes.

00:04:02 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 7:

I'm going to shower on. Yeah.

00:04:04 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 6:

That was it. Boy, what a show. Zach was talking about how the Osbournes was his first reality show, that and Newlyweds at the time. Remember MTV had some old bands at the time. MTV was going crazy. This is such an interesting theme song for the type of music he's known for. It was great. What a great show that was. My favorite was when you'd see him drive in his car and you thought to yourself is he going to hit other cars or people walking across the street? He loved burritos. He did.

00:04:35 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

We briefly pondered this idea yesterday, this idea that now ex-astronomer CEO Andy Byron could sue Coldplay over the massive fallout from last week's Kiss Cam fiasco. Here's the thing. He'd have to get very creative and there's minimal chance that it would actually work. I chatted with an attorney friend of mine last night who said, yeah, technically.

00:05:00 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 3:

he could sue for defamation because of what Chris Martin said when the cameras were on this cheating couple, when he said, oh, they might be having an affair. Defamation, according to the official legal definition, is a statement, either written or verbal, that injures a third party's reputation. I remember that from my media classes in college. However, they were having an affair. So it was truth, unless he could prove he wasn't having an affair with his head of HR. But I mean, their arms were wrapped around each other. Neither of them have come out to deny it. Both of them were married. But as we learned from

00:05:34 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 1:

War of the Roses, there's a lot of denying

00:05:36 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 3:

that happens. Also, since footage was taken in a public venue and shown on stadium screens, there's really no clear claim of defamation or privacy violation.

00:05:46 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 1:

So it'd be a stretch. And then somebody else said that public place too, like you can actually post pictures of public places. The problem is when you start taking pictures from the family stuff, that they have like on social media that's where potentially there could be some kind of legal

00:06:02 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 3:

actions that take place see now i we talked about that as well and if you put something out on social media as far as i am understanding and please correct me if i'm wrong if you're an attorney

00:06:17 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 1:

it's like fair game well because you put it out no if it but if it's like photographers get rights to pictures, human beings get rights to their pictures, too. Yeah,

00:06:28 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 3:

it's like a very gray area,

00:06:30 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 1:

I think. Because we post some people's pictures from that we get and we get in trouble for posting them and sharing them. So, I think what happens is, there's ways that the news outlets could get themselves into trouble for some of the stories. I'm shocked that social media doesn't get in trouble or AI doesn't get in trouble for the AI stuff that I see. Like, I saw an AI video of him and her going crazy with each other at the concert, where they're all over each other. And I'm like, man, that's where AI gets scary. If you're a spouse, you already know that his wife and kids have just got to be suffering right now. And to see some of that AI stuff that's out.

00:07:11 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. We are losing one of our sports teams here in the Detroit area. Who? In a major shakeup of the UFL for the 2026 season, the Michigan Panthers are getting relocated. They're one of four teams slated for relocation, the UFL relocating its teams from Michigan, Houston, Birmingham, and Memphis to new markets in Florida, I think likely Orlando, Boise, Columbus, and Louisville, Kentucky. And that decision, here's the weird part about this, speaking only about the Michigan Panthers. Across the board, attendance dropped in pretty much every city except for Detroit. We saw growth. Actually, this past season was 44% increased in attendance over the previous season. However, it was apparently crazy expensive to maintain the franchise at Ford Field. In fact, every time they open the doors for a UFL game, it costs half a million dollars. That's a lot of money.

00:08:13 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 2:

They just made the championship last season.

00:08:16 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 1:

Why don't they play the games at one of the college stadiums, like play at Spartan Stadium?

00:08:21 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 3:

or play at Eastern Michigan or Lawrence Tech. Apparently the league didn't want the team to play on. Is the turf gray there?

00:08:27 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:08:28 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 3:

I thought I heard they didn't want the team to play on gray turf.

00:08:31 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 1:

Who cares?

00:08:32 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 3:

Is that right?

00:08:33 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 1:

Make the team's colors gray.

00:08:34 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 3:

Very interesting.

00:08:36 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 1:

What's up with the Tigers, by the way? If we can stay on sports for a second. The Tigers have now lost eight of their last nine games. This is not good.

00:08:43 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 2:

Zach has a theory. What's his theory? The new guy we hired who's going to do the morning show at Wills Ever since he's come to town, we've been losing. He hasn't even started on the air yet.

00:08:54 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 1:

How is it his fault? I mean, he's on our soil. I think he debuts on Monday, of all things.

00:08:59 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 3:

I'm not supposed to say that.

00:09:00 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 1:

No, but I don't think that they should blame it on him. Zach, that is horrible for you. I'm blaming the fact that we can't hit a ball. We've been going through what the Tigers have gone through in the past, which is a drought to scoring.

00:09:17 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 2:

Well, at least we got off to the start that we did. so we're not too far back. We're still up to the front of the pack.

00:09:22 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 1:

The problem, though, is that that first-place lead goes pretty fast. If you start losing games like this, we get double-digit losses.

00:09:30 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 2:

When is our next game?

00:09:31 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 1:

We play tonight. We play against the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight. We don't want to get swept in that series. This would be two series in a row that we got swept.

00:09:39 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 2:

We're going to win tonight. If we don't, Mojo's shaving his eyebrows.

00:09:43 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no. Actually, not two series in a row. We beat Texas one game.

00:09:46 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 3:

And lastly, a big congratulations to Venus Williams. She is engaged to actor-producer model, is it Andrea Preddy? Andrea Preddy? The tennis star confirming. No, it's a guy. Oh, okay. That. She confirmed that Dirty at one of her matches recently, referring to this guy as her fiance.

00:10:07 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 5:

And she won yesterday. I don't know what tournament thing. The City Open tournament. She won yesterday.

00:10:12 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 6:

I can't believe her. Is she 45 years old? I thought I heard. She's about 40, bro.

00:10:17 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 5:

I don't know how old she is. She's 45. She turned 45 in June.

00:10:20 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 6:

I was blown away when I heard that story that Shannon just reported on the news. And they said, 45-year-old. And I'm like, she's that? I didn't realize that, man.

00:10:28 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 5:

She's the oldest WTA, whatever that stands for, match winner since 2004. Great.

00:10:35 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 3:

00:10:49 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Mike. Yeah. You're a winner. Yeah, Mike. Congrats. Bratz, we got a $50 gas card, and you're now qualified for the contest tomorrow where we're giving away a brand-new car, a 2025 loaded Chevy Trax. What would you take, that or the $20,000?

00:11:11 - 00:11:22 | Speaker 4:

Well, I've been really trying to get a reliable vehicle for my daughter to take back to college, and haven't found anything, couldn't afford anything, so that Trax would really come in handy.

00:11:22 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 6:

That would be great. That would be a beautiful thing. Where does she go to school? Where does your daughter go?

00:11:25 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 4:

Grand Valley. All right. We got to get her a car. See you there in the second semester.

00:11:29 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that'd be awesome. All right. Well, tomorrow, Gordon Chevrolet, we'll see you out there. Thank you so much. Hang on one second.

00:11:36 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 3:
