Shannon with the Dirty on the 30. What's trending this hour, Shannon?

00:02:06 - 00:02:26 | Speaker 9:

You guys remember Twitch, the dancer, choreographer? He was on the Ellen show, So You Think You Can Dance. He passed away in 2022. Very, very tragically. Yeah. He did? Yeah. That was a big story at the time. Yeah. Well, now his wife, Alison Holker, is opening up about the hidden struggles that her late husband was wrestling with that she had no idea he even was.

00:02:26 - 00:03:09 | Speaker 2:

There was a moment, I was with one of my really dear friends, and we were cleaning out the closet and picking out an outfit for him for the funeral. And it was a really triggering moment for me because there was a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed. And it was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue. So that was, it was a really scary moment in my life to figure that out. but it also helped me process that he was going through so much and he was hiding so much and there must have been a lot of shame in that and he was wrestling with a lot inside himself and he was trying to self-medicate and cope with all those feelings because he didn't want to put it

00:03:09 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 9:

on anyone she has a tell-all memoir coming out in a couple of weeks as well however twitch's family is not happy about any of this they are really really upset with allison for airing out his alleged drug use um his mental health struggles which we kind of knew a little bit about and for allegedly making them sign ndas in order to attend his funeral which that's information we're just learning about one of twitch's cousins her name is l she tweeted yesterday he wasn't an addict he smoked weed and was actively trying to quit he wasn't some junkie she also alleged that allison has kept twitch's three kids from seeing all of his relatives and then a close friend of twitch's echoed his cousin's comments in a lengthy instagram post part of which said this is by far the most tacky classless opportunistic opportunistic act i have ever seen in my entire

00:04:01 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 7:

life i wonder i wonder if ellen uh still is in contact with her and i don't know so i was reading

00:04:08 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 9:

a lot of comments in some posts about this yesterday um and a lot of people were saying clearly the people who are blasting her have never had a close friend or family member die by suicide because this is actually very very important to share and be transparent to help others who have walked through that spencer pratt and heidi montag remember them they have lost their home in that massive wildfire that's currently burning on la's west side in the pacific palisades their home burned to the ground yesterday as the wildfire tore through that celebrity filled neighborhood now they were able to safely evacuate earlier in the day to another location but they were just very open about how devastated they were by the loss of their home lots of celebrities in that same area including tom hanks and rita wilson ben affleck reese witherspoon adam sandler james woods

00:05:00 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 5:

Michael Keaton, I mean, these fires are perhaps the biggest story, one of the biggest stories in the nation right now.

00:05:06 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 4:

You want to hear one of the celebrity stories that came out yesterday? A guy was in Three Men and a Baby, Police Academy movies. He was in a bunch of stuff like in the 80s and 90s. Steve Guttenberg, he was just walking the streets when they were doing a report on KTLA, and the reporter comes up to just start talking to him, And he wants to tell the reporter to tell people that are leaving to leave their keys in the car because there's no way for fire trucks to get by these cars that are just sitting parked in the middle of the street.

00:05:39 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 8:

Which is not something I'm going to talk about. I wonder if I could just make. Here on Palisades Drive, if anybody has a car and they leave their car, leave the keys in the car so that we can move your car so that these fire trucks can get up Palisades Drive. What's happening is people take their keys with them as if they're in a parking lot. This is not a parking lot. We really need people to move their cars. So if you leave your car in Palisades Drive, leave the key in there so a guy like me can move your cars and get them up there so that these fire trucks can get up there.

00:06:11 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 7:

It's really, really important. Thank you for talking to us live, sir. What's your name? My name is Steve Guttenberg. Steve, do you live in this area?

00:06:18 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 8:

I live in the area. I live right up the hill. And thank goodness everybody. But I have friends up there right now, and they can't evacuate because it's stuck on Palisades Drive. You're an actor. Yeah, I'm an actor.

00:06:29 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 7:

You look familiar to me now. So, sir, do you have family up there? I was just talking to that gentleman. He has a mom who's stuck up in the hills. Yeah, there are people stuck up there.

00:06:38 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 8:

So we're trying to clear Palisade Drive, and I'm walking up there as far as I can.

00:06:43 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 4:

He sounds like Steve Guttenberg. I mean, I guess he is Steve Guttenberg.

00:06:45 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 5:

I love that he wasn't offended that the guy didn't know who he was. I mean, could you be?

00:06:52 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 4:

Well, no, he's very recognizable. He was a younger reporter.

00:06:55 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 6:

He was a big, big, big, big guy.

00:06:56 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 4:

Google, you know that man's face.

00:06:57 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 6:

But I don't. I don't know his name, but I know his face for sure.

00:07:00 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 5:

No, but I'm saying, regardless of his age and how long ago he was like a quote-unquote, you know, A-lister, if he ever was an A-lister.

00:07:07 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 6:

At least he wasn't like, you don't know who I am. I'm sorry to this man, but I do not know who he is. Here's the deal, though.

00:07:12 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 4:

That would be me on the red carpet of the Golden Globes. I'd be like, and what is your name? My name is Bob De Niro.

00:07:18 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 5:

Just like you do to all of our salespeople, and they're like, I've worked here for 10 years.

00:07:22 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 6:

So everybody was calling out Drew Afualo because she had, she was doing variety, I think maybe for the Golden Globes and had photos, names, and listing of projects and everybody was like, you don't know? And every person there has a list of everybody. It's like Devil Wears Prada.

00:07:39 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 5:

Yes, exactly. What you're nominated for. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Is anybody following along with the Barstool sports drama between Dave Portnoy and Grace O'Malley? Oh, yeah. I know Lydia is because we were texting about it. But so she, Grace, left Barstool, I think like beginning of December, amid her falling out with her former friend, Brianna Chicken Fry, her former co-host, also on the Plan Bree Uncut podcast. And Dave has maintained that Grace's exit has had had zero to do with him. Well, she recently made a comment on her podcast about her pay over at Barstool, excuse me. And she used the word decent, decent pay, which has now caused some controversy.

00:08:22 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 4:

Oh, am I playing? I'm sorry. What am I playing here? Grace. Grace. Grace. Give me Grace for this one. Here we go. Yes. Why is it not playing? Hold on. My bar is not working. Hold on. I got it right here. Here's Grace.

00:08:40 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 3:

I had the option to leave and I took it.

00:08:43 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 2:

Was it a good salary?

00:08:44 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 3:

It was decent. It wasn't equated to...

00:08:49 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 2:

Was it like $500,000?

00:08:51 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 3:

No, nothing close to that, no. My buddy was making a little bit more, a lot of bit more, a whole s**t more. But she was doing another podcast and whatnot. Oh, that's right.

00:09:02 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 2:

She was bringing maybe different fans from that also. Yeah, yeah. Got it. So relative. Yeah, and also some of that stuff is as much as it's live and learn sometimes.

00:09:11 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 3:

I also didn't care. I was just happy to be there. Right.

00:09:13 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so, of course, Dave Portnoy is like, I'm going to be transparent and put it all out there, and he did.

00:09:19 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Dave Portnoy, I got to plan out. Hold on, there's Dave Portnoy.

00:09:23 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 1:

It does bother me when people make it seem like they're not getting paid fairly, and I think we treated, as I've said from the beginning, Grace great. So, again, I'm just going to say exactly what she got paid. Instead of talking like hypotheticals and, you know, not exactly putting numbers down, I'll just say what her contract was. She was finishing up her third year at Barstool, her base salary, $175,000 a year. On top of that, she got 70% of anything that we were able to sell on her personal socials. So if we have like ads, it's like, hey, Grace, do this on your Instagram. She gets 70% of that. So she got another 70%.

00:10:00 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 3:

$175,000 in 2024 that way. Total salary for last year, a quarter million, $250,000 to Grace. I think that's pretty fair, pretty good. I know she's like my friend made a lot more than I did. She's referring to Brie. I mean, Brie was a much bigger personality, way more followers, bigger everything. And really, obviously, Grace's star has risen recently with the blow-up and everything happening.

00:10:28 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 8:

It was before the blowup. That's so dismissive. And I hate that Dave Portnoy did that. And also, it is a very common thread among Barstool employees to talk about their incomes and what other people on their same level are making. There's a lot of discrepancy there when it comes to if Dave likes you or not. I think there's a lot of missing information in this whole conversation.

00:10:47 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 7:

Everybody needs to be in charge of advocating for herself. And she was being very aloof with what she was being paid. And I think he was standing his ground.

00:10:55 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 6:

Honestly.

00:10:56 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 7:

She said at one point she was just working for free.

00:10:59 - 00:10:59 | Speaker 9:

She was like selling two cents.

00:10:59 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 7:

And that's your choice.

00:11:01 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 6:

Well, and that's called paying your dues. I mean, I hate to say it.

00:11:03 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 7:

You have to advocate for yourself.

00:11:06 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 6:

Everybody starts kind of like doing it. And then when their star rises, they end up leaving and going to a mall.

00:11:11 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 8:

She did not say, I was not paid enough or a livable wage or whatever. She's talking about the discrepancy between her and fellow employees.

00:11:20 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 9:

And lastly, a Royal Oak business owner wants the city to rename Campbell Road, which runs north to south from 14 miles to 696, to Dan Campbell Road in honor of the Lions head coach. I love this. Christopher Powell is the CEO of HR Pro. It's a human resources consulting business. It's located on Campbell Road. If you've ever been in Royal Oak, you know Campbell Road. But yesterday he actually submitted an official proposal to rename the street to Dan Campbell Road. And the Royal Oak Mayor, Michael Fornier, he's a diehard Lions fan. He said, I got the proposal. I'm going to tackle this soon. So we'll see if it happens. We'll not be amazed. Tackle this. I like that.
