00:01:12 - 00:01:30 | Speaker 2:

Real quick, I want to mention this for our Detroit listeners. If you are planning on heading to the Rocket Mortgage Classic, a programming note for you. And fingers crossed, you already know this if you were heading out there this morning. They pushed back the start time today. So the public gates now going to open at 10 a.m. And yesterday's storms are to blame for that.

00:01:30 - 00:02:13 | Speaker 6:

So last year, I was playing in it with my good friend, Craig Myers. Craig is playing this morning or when they do their first tee off time. And I just wanted to thank him, by the way, because Craig always year after year invited me. But he said, hey, he's going to put a placeholder in this year and give me the invite again next year because I can't play with the shoulder surgery. Shut up, Craig Myers. That was fun broadcasting from there. They're going to be in studio later today. The guys from Rocket Mortgage and the Rocket Mortgage Classic. But go see it this weekend. It is a lot of fun. It's beautiful there. That golf club, the Detroit Golf Club is so beautiful. Well, let me say it's a party. The beverages are a-flowing. There's so much stuff to do. So if you're not even into golf, I would still look for this as a great opportunity to get out and about.

Didier's defense team wrapped up its case in his high-profile sex trafficking trial after just 20 minutes yesterday. following nearly seven weeks of prosecution arguments and testimony in New York.

00:02:28 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 1:

The criminal case against Sean Combs is nearing an end, and the man who made a living with lyrics said nothing in his own defense. Is it your decision not to testify in this case, Judge Arun Subramanian asked, and Combs responded, that is solely my decision. Combs also complimenting the judge, I want to tell you, thank you, you're doing an excellent job. Defense attorneys called no witnesses and rested their case moments after prosecutors rested theirs. For more than six weeks, jurors heard from 34 witnesses, including ex-girlfriends, former employees, male escorts, and rapper Kid Cudi. They watched nearly an hour of explicit video showing Cassie Ventura and a woman known by the pseudonym Jane having sex with male prostitutes. The prosecution is seeking to prove that the music mogul was running a criminal enterprise that trafficked these women. He denies it. The defense argued the sex was consensual and asked for an acquittal, telling the judge the government has failed to meet its burden. The jury will hear closing arguments on Thursday and begin deliberating the fate of Sean Combs as soon as late Friday.

00:03:27 - 00:03:56 | Speaker 6:

He must think, or his attorneys must think, that they've got not enough to turn this jury. And they must think, by resting their case, they're proving there's nothing there. We don't even have to defend it. And let the jury out early, who's probably showing fatigue signs. That is a ploy. If you look at some of these, I'm going purely because I watch a lot of TV shows that are about, like, law and order. That's like a law and order play. You know what I mean? Listen, I know I got nothing on that.

00:03:56 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 2:

I'm kind of surprised by the move, but, yeah.

00:03:57 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 6:

If he gets found not guilty, his attorneys are genius for doing that. We'll see. If he gets found guilty, they're not so genius.

00:04:06 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 5:

He's saying about 4th of July we'll have a verdict. Oh, for sure. All right. Yeah, yeah. I told you. Guess it's all for a white party.

00:04:12 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 6:

Whoa, jeez. you think he'll have any more part if he gets out do you think he's gonna still party after that

00:04:18 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 5:

cassie video surfaced everybody thought they wouldn't hear from diddy remember that and then he shot that random video somewhere where he kind of i won't say blew it off diddy doesn't seem like the type of person that will go away and hide and be quiet see i think he's the type of guy that is

00:04:34 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 6:

gonna end up doing like initially nothing and then he'll be like he'll become a pastor six months Now, he'll be O.J. Simpson, like how he was doing his Twitter things every day.

00:04:43 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 5:

He's going to come out with more music, I guarantee you. Bad boy for life. Wow.

00:04:47 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 2:

Told you this was coming. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have split. He is set to attend Jeff Bezos' wedding this weekend in Venice solo. I'm told that this is going to be his debut. as a single man and we've heard these rumors for months and months and months now i thought we weren't going to get any sort of announcement until her tour wrapped up in december nonetheless

00:05:08 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 7:

it's happening now it seems to me i thought just from the outside looking in especially with her going to space with bezos company that she had more of a relationship with them yeah yeah that's

00:05:19 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 6:

actually a great point i didn't think about that they say though that one of the reasons why they are splitting is she was so embarrassed by that he thought that was ridiculous which is funny that He's still going to the Bezos wedding. Weird.

00:05:30 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley sentenced to 12 and seven years in prison, respectively, after a jury convicted them of bank and tax fraud offenses. Well, in a new interview with Fox News that set to air, I believe on Saturday, they recount the moment that they learned they were getting pardoned by President Trump.

00:05:48 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 4:

Called Savannah one more time. And she said, he did it. He signed it. And I just started busting out crying. and everyone was looking around and then I just hung up. I was so nervous that I just hung up. It was the craziest thing and everybody was just looking at me because unfortunately, most of the news that you get in prison is bad news. You know, so they're like, are you okay? I'm like, I am. I'm getting out of here. I'm getting out of here.

00:06:14 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 5:

This guy stops and he goes, man, I think you just got pardoned. And I said, yeah, okay. And I just kept on walking. And so then I went into my dorm. One of the guys, the COs, he came by and he goes, are you good and i said as good as i can be and he said todd you you just got pardoned they sent me down here to make sure you're okay and i said well they don't need to be worried about me now hell if i'm pardoned i'm great why do they annoy me and i said first i said the show was annoying god led the people to advocate for us and so i'm grateful because every night I would pray that God would return me home to my wife and my children. And he did that, so I'm grateful. And my boyfriend.

00:07:00 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 6:

There's a lot of Southern guys that are in marriages and you sit there and wonder if they're gay.

00:07:07 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 2:

You might raise a little eyebrow.

00:07:08 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 6:

It's a lot. When we used to go to Atlanta all the time and hang out with Norm, we would hang out and these guys would walk in and they'd have their collars popped on their polo shirts and stuff. And they had their loafers on and stuff. And I'm like, okay. All right. And they have their families. Say okay right. Okay. I was like, okay. But I don't know. A lot of these Southern guys don't come out. Now, I could be wrong. Maybe Todd Chrisley is not gay. I don't know. But I kind of tend to feel the same way Kev does on that.
