I was there and I remember asking the guy at the front. I was like, hey, is- At the motel. Lamar Odom. Where's Lamar Odom? He's this big guy. You can identify him. He told me what room he was in. I saw in the window that him and this girl were, they were either naked or in, she was in lingerie, something like that. I knocked on the door. They answered it for some reason. And I just started going ballistic. And I remember the next day it was, I think Penelope's birthday party and it was a cowboy party and my knuckles were all bloody and gross and I just had bandanas wrapped around. I was on theme and I acted as if nothing ever happened. And I don't think I ever said a thing.

repping detroit i'm not saying you guys are reincarnation but you guys have some very tough players on this team and you guys don't back down do you guys ever think about the legacy of what it means to be a piston that bad boys era are you guys trying to be a reincarnation of that era

yeah i mean when you're in detroit for long enough i think it's just naturally like infectious like it's contagious you know i'm saying everybody's walking around with it everybody kind of carries it with them so i think that's you know the first step of being an athlete in detroit is you got to play hard you got to have some type of grit grit is the word that everybody always uses by the way

kev have you seen that there's a call right now all over social media for them to bring back the final countdown as the song when they do the intro i have and i cannot speak any further what oh okay Right. So they there's a call that says that the Pistons need to bring back where Mason does the, you know, announce, you know, the starting lineups. And they stopped doing that. They stopped using the song.

They stopped using the song. What have they been using?

What do they use now, Cav? What is some other song? OK, yeah. So there's so there's a call from all these people all over social media basically saying, hey, this is the truly what you remember the Pistons for.

That's the only thing I know about the Pistons.

Which is funny because they used this way back when the bad boys, bad boys were there and then brought it back for the 0-4, you know, season with the Pistons.

I didn't realize they stopped it in between the bad boys and the 0-4 season.

It's got to be done in the right way. And it has to be done with teams that deserve it just to be candid and frank. And if you have a franchise that isn't performing well, then you don't want to disrespect the greats who earned that song.

But doesn't that hurt team morale by your franchise telling you you're not a good team?

No, no, I don't think it hurts team morale at all. I think it helps. You earn it. You know, it's like me when I constantly win the throwback throwdown. Oh, my God. Something different.

So people are upset about that. And then did you hear the other thing with the Pistons? The owner, they say, has not allowed for people outside of Michigan to buy tickets to the game.

I think they relegated it to Ontario, Canada, the state of Michigan, Ohio, and I want to say Illinois. Outside of those areas.

You can't buy tickets.

Just let it go. Yeah, you can't. New Yorkers, they don't want buying tickets and coming here.

And lastly, the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast on the iHeartRadio app. Have you guys ever listened to him? I really like him a ton. So he had the late Liam Payne's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, on as a guest this week. And she, God, it was so sad, but she described the moment that she found out that something was terribly, terribly wrong. Liam was in Buenos Aires. She had just come home like two days prior.

I got a phone call from one of Liam's friends and he called me and said, is Liam okay? I heard he fell from a balcony. And I said, what? That must be a rumor. I was like, that's not true at all. Like, there's no way this isn't true. And when his friend first called me too, he didn't mention anything about death. so the first thing that went to my mind was either it was a rumor just something for clickbait or he fell off a balcony and he broke a rib like he's okay um so I'm making all these phone calls and nobody's answering at this point I'm like starting to freak out and I'm starting to get a little bit panicky I call his friend back and I say um have you heard any updates I'm really confused like what's going on and he was like the only update I've heard is that Liam's Liam's um Liam's dead and um in that moment I still didn't believe it to be true there was just no way but there was just that one little part of me in the back of my head that was like why would somebody make this up

you know awful you find out like thinking it's a rumor at first oh um she also talked about their very chilling last conversation.

I remember sitting there with him and I was going on and on and on and saying to Liam how much I love him. And he laughed and he interrupted me and he just said, Kate, like you're going to miss your flight. Your car's in the driveway. You're acting like this is the last time you're ever going to see me again.
