00:02:03 - 00:02:06 | Speaker 6:

Shannon with What's Trending in the Dirty on the 30. What's going on, Shannon?

00:02:06 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 4:

I want to start off with a shout out to some ladies that I met yesterday who work at the meat counter at Honey Bee Market in Mexicantown in southwest Detroit. They're huge listeners of the show. They always have us go in there. And that was my first time at that place. Oh, my God. If you've never been, it is a treat. It is a true Mexican market with all just sorts of fresh foods and prepared foods. And it's literally like a Mexican grocery store. I, you guys, I came home with a bag of chips that was like half as big as me. You went to the meat market and got chips? No, they have fresh salsas. They have fruits. I mean, they have all the things.

00:02:46 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 6:

What were you doing in Mexicantown?

00:02:48 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 4:

It was a field trip for Lucy's Spanish class.

00:02:51 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 6:

Oh, that's cool.

00:02:52 - 00:02:56 | Speaker 4:

So I joined halfway through after the show yesterday. Shout out to the ladies. Honey Bee Market.

00:02:57 - 00:03:03 | Speaker 6:

By the way, I love, what is it? There's like the bakery or whatever, like the pastry place or whatever. La Gloria, La Gloria Bakery. Oh my God.

00:03:03 - 00:03:03 | Speaker 4:

Oh my God, we went there.

00:03:04 - 00:03:12 | Speaker 6:

Those places, pre-gluten, I would have, I looked like I was doing cocaine. I had powdered sugar all over me. It's crazy.

00:03:14 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 4:

All right, Scott Miscutti, better known as rapper Kid Cudi, comparing Diddy to a Marvel supervillain while on the stand sharing his testimony yesterday. He testified that his home was broken into back in December of 2011 after getting a phone call from Cassie Ventura, who he was dating at the time, who frantically told him that Diddy had found out about their relationship. Cuddy said he went to pick up Cass from a hotel she was staying at, and as he was driving home, he spoke to Diddy on the phone, and he was told, I'm waiting for you. When he got home, Diddy wasn't there, but people had clearly been at his home. His security cameras had been moved. Christmas presents that were on his kitchen counter had been unwrapped. His dog was locked up in a bathroom. The following month, and we've heard this story, his car was firebombed with a Molotov cocktail, his Porsche. Cuddy said he knew that Diddy had something to do with it, arranged a little meeting between the two of them at the very exclusive Soho House Hotel. He said that Diddy's security brought him into like a conference room where Diddy was standing there looking out the window with his hands behind his back like a Marvel supervillain. That's how he painted the picture. And Cuddy said Diddy was very calm during that meeting, but they shook hands at the end of it, and that's when Cuddy asked him, what are we going to do about my car? And Diddy's response was just a stare, and he said, I don't know what you're talking about.

00:04:39 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 6:

Oh, so he's playing dumb.

00:04:40 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

And Cuddy said he walked away going, I know he's lying. The gentlemen didn't see each other until about four years later. And Diddy pulled him aside during that occasion and said, I just want to apologize for everything and all of that bull spit. So Cuddy's like, I knew that's what he was talking about.

00:05:00 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 2:

During cross-examination, he did testify that he was very aware of the abuse that Cassie Ventura suffered at the hands of Sean Combs. Yesterday evening, he was thanking fans for their support on social media.

00:05:11 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 5:

Hey, guys. So I just want to say, man, I've been seeing all the love and support. And I just want to say thank you so much, man. People have been hitting me up the past week, just checking in. And even today, it really means a lot to me, man. You guys are the best. I love y'all. It's weird how you walked into court the two days he was testifying. And, yeah, I love y'all, man.

00:05:43 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 4:

He had, like, a cigarette hanging out of his mouth.

00:05:46 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 3:

He's wearing, like, jeans and sneakers. Very cutty. Very cutty. That's how he dressed.

00:05:49 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 4:

But it seemed interesting, like, how he's, like, nonchalant, cigarette out of his mouth. Definitely trying to play off the image like he's not bothered by what's going on. This man blew up his car.

00:05:58 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 3:

He did not blow up his car. That was a severe exaggeration. Did he? I mean, a Molotov cocktail is a bomb. I know you probably saw the picture, Shannon. Did you see the pictures?

00:06:06 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 4:

Did you see the pictures? No, I did not see the pictures. Okay, look at this. Does that look like a car that's blown up? It's got a big old, yeah, it's got a big burn mark and stuff in it.

00:06:13 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 3:

A big burn mark. I mean, the roof of the car had a hole in it. That's how they cut it open and dropped the Molotov cocktail in sight. I'm telling you, though. No, you did not blow up that man. That's not normal. I'm not saying it's right. I'm not saying it's right. I just want to, like, let's taper expectations. Let's be more realistic.

00:06:29 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 4:

These rappers in this rap world, like Shannon last hour was talking about Skillababy and then Cuddy and Diddy and all this stuff. I'm sorry, but I don't know if I want to ever get into rap business.

00:06:39 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 3:

You're already in it, baby.

00:06:40 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 4:

It's a dirty business. I don't want to. You're already in it. I ain't in it.

00:06:44 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 2:

I mean, let's actually, we've told this story about Trick Trick before. You had a hit out on you, okay?

00:06:51 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 4:

But you know what? Now we're nice. Now we're all good.

00:06:53 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 2:

He was in the studio a couple of weeks ago, which is just wild.

00:06:56 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 4:

I'm a grown man that just wants to live his life in peace.

00:06:59 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 3:

Trick Trick was in the studio a couple of weeks ago. And where was Mojo?

00:07:03 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 4:

I was in hiding in Florida again. Same place I was at when he didn't like me. Now we like each other.

00:07:11 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 2:

A major development in the ongoing legal battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively. Mysteriously, Justin Baldoni has withdrawn that subpoena for Taylor Swift. Taylor initially subpoenaed because of her close friendship with Blake with allegations suggesting she was involved in a little script rewrite meeting and that Blake had used their friendship for leverage to get what she wanted when it came to producing the movie and things that were happening with It Ends With Us. However, Taylor's reps clarified she had zero involvement in the film's production and was actually on tour during filming. Again, that trial is expected to kick off in March of next year, if we get that far. Tory Lanez being moved to a new prison after he was stabbed 14 times at the California Correctional Institution. His dad said that transfer is just standard protocol for safety following that incident. It's not special treatment.

00:08:07 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 4:

That was for Lydia if she watched. Why is Lydia so hell-bent on Tory Lanez not having done this?

00:08:13 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 3:

She's not hell-bent. She's just seeking the truth.

00:08:14 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 1:

I mean, because Megan Thee Stallion has been lying. A lot of people think that.

00:08:20 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 4:

You don't believe that they got the right person.

00:08:23 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 1:

No, I don't. And the fact that there was female DNA on the gun, but they never tested Kelsey for it just tells me all I need to know. Kelsey is Megan Thee Stallion's former friend.

00:08:32 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Who was there in the car that night? She fingered Tori Lanes and not the friend.

00:08:38 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 1:

They were both sleeping with Tori Lanes at the same time. That's up.

00:08:42 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 4:

Interesting. Interestame. Yeah.

00:08:43 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 2:

By the way, from that stabbing, Tori's fine now, but two collapsed lungs.

00:08:49 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 3:

I mean, we're not a joke. Can you still sing? Can you sing with collapsed lungs? I don't know. Or that doesn't affect your vocal cords.

00:08:54 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 4:

That'd be messed up. I don't know.

00:08:56 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, say goodbye to the penny.

00:08:58 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 4:

This is why I'm not on the rap game. I'm not going to go. Yes, what's going on with the penny?

00:09:02 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 2:

The penny's going away. The U.S. Mint going to stop making new pennies within a year.

00:09:06 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 4:

I got them in a jar at home.

00:09:08 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 2:

Do you know that it costs more to make a penny than a penny's worth? It costs about three and a half cents to make a penny. The Treasury Department said it ordered its last blanks from which the pennies are made. They're not going to make any more once those blanks are gone. That's expected to be early next year. The U.S. Mint produced more than three billion pennies last year and lost more than $85 million in the process. So you're still going to be able to use pennies as long as you have them. But as the supply of pennies continues to shrink, stores are going to likely have to start adjusting their pricing.

00:09:40 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

because that's crazy idea call me crazy yes all right maybe a dumb idea but there are no dumb ideas instead of just saying we're not gonna have pennies anymore because it costs too much to make them than they're worth why not just make the penny be like three cents you know what I'm saying why does it have

00:10:00 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 6:

have to be one cent why we got eradicated just make it like three cents because wouldn't you

00:10:03 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 3:

just use a nickel at that point if you don't have a nickel why don't just round up why don't we just round up and not have to do it penny wise you know or round down what yes why instead of having it be like 21 cents just be 20 cents you know what do you mean like let's not even worry about pennies not even pay with pennies let's play even numbers they're gonna have to do so here's the thing kevin just have all these crypto they want us to have crypto i'm not mad so that they can be a little shady with the crypto.

00:10:29 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 6:
