Well, starting off with an incredibly sad story, And the video is so tough to watch. I'm sure you've all seen it by now. The helicopter that crashed into the Hudson River in Manhattan yesterday afternoon, taking the lives of all six people on board. Video posted on social media, and I mean, you can see it on the news, shows this helicopter and some other debris just plummeting into the water after about 18 minutes in the air.

It sounded like a sonic boom on my right. So I look up and literally I just see a helicopter splitting in two with the rotor flying off in the sky. It was going so fast. It just went straight into the water. It was, I've never seen anything like that.

It really did. This is New York City Mayor Eric Adams talking about it.

The pilot and the family visiting from Spain with our preliminary information has at this time. Members of the FDNY and NYPD harbor units arrived at the scene and divers from both agencies entered the water.

Yeah, like the mayor said, the chopper was carrying a family of tourists from Spain Two adults, mom and dad, three kids, ages 4, 5, and 11, as well as the pilot. The family was in New York City. This was the first day of a trip they were there for to celebrate a birthday. It was the helicopter's sixth flight of the day. No issues before this one, obviously.

NYPD divers pulled four people from the crash site, and FDNY divers recovered an additional two. Immediate life-saving measures were undertaken on the vessels at the scene, as well as the adjoining pier. Four victims were pronounced dead on scene, and two more were removed to local area hospitals, where sadly both succumbed to their injuries.

You know, it's funny that you watch these helicopters fly all the time. If you've ever been to New York or over the Hudson, it's their thing that they do there. There were a lot of people doing nice tours to see all the buildings and also go to see where the old World Trade Center was and the memorial is. It's a beautiful thing to do. When I saw that video yesterday and saw it go straight down like that, and obviously you know that that's what happens when a helicopter fails. It's going to dive to the ground. I don't know if I can get into a helicopter ever again. And we've seen, obviously, helicopter accidents happen before, Kobe situation. there is no way to save yourself from a situation like that and they tell you in those helicopters if you've ever been on those tour helicopters they tell you all right in the case of an emergency you know reach up right behind you pull your your uh you know seat belt off when we do go to the ground so that you can get out of the helicopter fast enough and they're saying that they think that the the water could have potentially not killed them right away but they could have gotten out of there they're going to do an autopsy to see if they died from the impact or died from the drowning but you think about this as a dad and a mom in there with your little kids you're trying

to save your little kids if you did and it happened so fast i don't know if there was a time

soldier boy has been ordered to pay his former assistant nearly four million dollars after he was found liable by a california jury in a lawsuit that alleged he sexually assaulted her again his former assistant, held her captive and also failed to pay her for her work. Soulja Boy's accuser, only listed as John Doe here, was awarded the damages yesterday. A second phase of the trial is not going to determine punitive damages, so she'll probably get more money. But he told Rolling Stone, he's really upset about this because he said, the district attorney, this music is so loud. Oh, I'm sorry, I don't have my headphones on. I couldn't hear myself talking. So he did an interview with Rolling Stone about this or commented to Rolling Stone and he said the district attorney never even filed charges for this he said I was never charged or convicted of this criminally so to be accused civilly is beyond me I've never done any of the things they're accusing me of I just feel like this is very unfair that was his statement you look very regal
