Hey there, I'm Kat. I'm a college athlete. I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, which caused back pain and stiffness every day. With Cosentix, I'm able to stay active.

00:01:14 - 00:01:55 | Speaker 1:

Cosentix Secukinumab is prescribed for adults with active psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, or non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis. Available in both IV infusion and self-injection. Don't use if allergic to Cosentix. Get checked for TB before starting. Increased risk of infections and lowered ability to fight them may occur, like TB or other serious bacterial, fungal, or viral infections. Some are fatal. Tell your doctor if you have an infection or symptoms like fevers, sweats, chills, muscle aches, or cough, had a vaccine or planned to, or if IBD symptoms develop or worsen. Serious allergic reactions and severe eczema-like skin reactions may occur. Learn more at 1-844-COSENTICS or cosentics.com.

00:01:55 - 00:01:59 | Speaker 2:

Move and feel better. Ask a rheumatologist about Cosentix.

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:02:03 - 00:02:12 | Speaker 6:

We are going to get you caught up on what's trending this morning. Shannon with the Dirty on the 30. And Shannon, what you kicking the hour off with?

00:02:12 - 00:02:37 | Speaker 5:

So I first want to give a shout out to somebody that I ran into yesterday. And when I say ran into, I mean that very literally. I ran into her several times by accident at Whole Foods while I was doing some grocery shopping. Listener Lucy, who calls our show all the time, she's an adult Lucy, and she is so wonderful. And we ended up chatting for like 10 or 15 minutes in an aisle, the random serial aisle yesterday. So hi, Lucy. It was really nice to meet you.

00:02:38 - 00:02:43 | Speaker 6:

And why is she in the dirty today? I just wanted to say hi to her. What illegal act or criminal thing did she do?

00:02:43 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 5:

Unfortunately, she seems pretty normal to me.

00:02:46 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 6:

Is she?

00:02:47 - 00:02:47 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:02:47 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 6:

I don't think-

00:02:48 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 5:

But it was one of those situations where every time I turned to the corner, I was running into her. Yeah. And finally, I was like, I'm so sorry. This is not targeted.

00:02:56 - 00:03:06 | Speaker 6:

I always think that they think I'm stalking them or something. You feel like it's weird. Yeah. Maybe she needs to call us up and tell us that Shannon truly was stalking.

00:03:06 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 5:

I swear I wasn't.

00:03:07 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:03:08 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so one of the world's busiest airports is currently shut down, and that is London's Heathrow Airport. It's going to be closed all day today after a fire at an electrical substation caused a power outage. So the airport was anticipating upwards of like 290,000 passengers moving through that place today. A total of 1,351 flights. Those are all not happening. So this is going to affect travel globally today. You're going to hear a lot about that.

00:03:37 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 6:

And this is one of those times of year, too. It's spring break time. So there's a lot of people taking spring break vacations in the United States going to Europe. So this is going to be really interesting.

00:03:47 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 5:

Jay-Z and Beyonce may take legal action after Kanye West attacked their twins in a rant on X earlier this week. We talked about this yesterday. He was mocking Rumi and Sir's intelligence, their mental capacity. They're, what, seven years old, I think. So I am hearing mixed things about this. One source telling me that Beyonce and Jay-Z are not happy that Ye has spoken out about their kids in such a vulgar and offensive manner. But another person is telling me, yeah, they're upset, but they have no plans on publicly addressing Kanye's posts about their kids. So I don't know which it is, but not happy.

00:04:30 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 7:

No one wins when the family feuds.

00:04:34 - 00:04:45 | Speaker 6:

How are you going to how is your life going to be in that case? that's going to be horrible because you have such love for both of these all true i just uh i think

00:04:45 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 7:

the worst thing that's come out of all of this over the past years is that us kanye fans as jay-z fans as rap fans are never going to get a watch the throne too and that makes me sad you know

00:04:57 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 6:

it is uh it is interesting it's uh Thank you.

00:05:00 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 9:

For me, it kind of reminds me like when your favorite TV show breaks up because somebody doesn't like, you know, like the other person.

00:05:09 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 2:

Kobe and Shaq. Sex and the City. Oh, Samantha. Oh, I know. I'm still hung up on that one. Oh, Samantha. That's how old I am. All right, March Madness is underway. And last night during Georgia's 89-68 loss to Gonzaga, one other player was called out for a little fashion. Oopsie.

00:05:25 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 9:

What team was he on?

00:05:28 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 2:

Georgia.

00:05:29 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 9:

Georgia.

00:05:30 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, sorry for, I had to think about Dakota LeFue, I think is his last name, is how you say it. Was wearing his shorts backwards?

00:05:37 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 9:

LeFue's got his shorts on backwards.

00:05:39 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 3:

I'm so sorry to point that out. Things just didn't start well, right, for Georgia today, and everything feels a little backwards for him right now.

00:05:49 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 2:

He had to know, right?

00:05:51 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 9:

Did you see the other story that's big yesterday, Shannon, about the McNeese State kid?

00:05:56 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so their manager has gone viral in a matter of, like, 18 hours. Who is this kid?

00:06:03 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 9:

So he's the boombox kid. So he goes and brings the team onto the court with a big old boombox, and he is the only team manager that has an NIL deal he sponsored.

00:06:13 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 1:

Yes, I saw that.

00:06:15 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 6:

How about this? This is the McNeese cheerleaders. Their socks are the face of the manager, Amir Khan. Now, that's incredible. Well, this guy, he's got it all going. He's got it all. He's got it all going. He's taking pictures in the stands during the game. Now, Lap, if he was your manager.

00:06:33 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 9:

He's got kind of a character side to him. He's a young kind of goofy kid and in the locker room at the end of the game.

00:06:40 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 3:

Your McNeese Cowboys just pulled it off. They beat Clemson. What were you thinking? What were you thinking as that clock went to zero?

00:06:48 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 7:

We got our first win in school history, you know. So, McNeese is the hometown school. and, you know, for us to get a win in March Madness, you know, it means a world. No, Google that. What was the boombox blast in pregame? No switch by NBA Youngboy. Will that be back Saturday or they'll be in the switch up again? You know, we really don't know. You know, everything we do is just.

00:07:09 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 9:

They're interviewing the team manager. The team manager is getting post-game interviews more than the players are.

00:07:16 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 3:

With Wild Wings here. Here we go, man.

00:07:18 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 9:

It's all our sponsorships.

00:07:19 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 7:

I love Buffalo Wild Wings. I'm a big fan, too, so for me to have this, it means a lot. What is it like being with you?

00:07:26 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 9:

It's amazing that usually these team managers are the forgotten ones. And when we talked to Tom Izzo a couple weeks back, he shouted out the team managers because these kids give up their vacations. They give up pretty much their life for these teams and these players who are making all this money. And somebody was saying since the college players started making money with these NIL deals, a lot of them are giving money to the team managers thanking them for all the stuff they do. I'd love to hear that. That's cool.

00:07:54 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 8:

To answer your question, McNeese State University is in Louisiana. And to add more color, accepting rates is 71%, graduation rate 46%. Thank you, Kev. Average cost after $18,000. I like it. Okay, I know.

00:08:06 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, Benny Blanco in the Dirty this morning. He says he now classifies himself as an official Swifty.

00:08:13 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 9:

Really? The guy's a Swifty. Trying to get that feature.

00:08:17 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 4:

Let's do it. I wasn't like a true Swifty until I was, no, I didn't know. And now I'm like, now I'm like,

00:08:23 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 5:

I'll be like, put that song on. How's that one go again?

00:08:26 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 4:

And like, we're in the car and I'm like, wow, I'm just like singing Taylor Swift songs from like 10 years ago. And I'm like, feel free.

00:08:32 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 2:

I feel free. Benny and Selena making an appearance on Hot Ones in an episode that was posted yesterday. By the way, their joint album, I Said I Love You first, drops today. And then on Fallon last night, they were talking about how Selena almost missed her own proposal.

00:08:48 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 1:

I woke up and I was very confused on what was happening on where we were going because it seemed kind of far. So I'm kind of a little grumpy. I'm like, I really am tired. This is too far. So then I tell him, I say, after this shoot, I'm going to go hang out with my friends. And he starts, I guess, going, OK, sure. We'll, you know, we'll see when you get here.

00:09:11 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 5:

You're freaking out like, don't ruin my moment. Of course I'm freaking out. She was mad. She almost didn't even come. She was like, I really don't feel that well. I think I'm just going to stay home today. Can't we just make up the shoot another day? And I was like, ugh. And I'm like trying to figure out a way to do it.

00:09:24 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 9:

Why does she always seem so tired? She always sounds.

00:09:26 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 2:

She has an illness.

00:09:28 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 9:

Lupus. Is that from the lupus? She always sounds like she's so, so tired.

00:09:32 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 2:

You know what? I think that's just her because I watched an interview that she posted of herself auditioning for something.

00:09:38 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 8:

And she was like that too?

00:09:38 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 2:

And she's just, that's.

00:09:40 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 8:

It's kind of mellow?

00:09:41 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:09:41 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 8:

She's just mellow. They sound alike. Or does that just be?

00:09:44 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 2:

They do. I like them together. It's weird, but I like them. They're very cute. All right, for all of today's Dirty, check out the podcast. You can search Mojo in the Morning in the totally free iHeart Video app.
