All right, I'm starting off with a big, big update to the Menendez brothers case. In case you haven't heard, prosecutors are going to recommend that a judge re-sentence Eric and Lyle Menendez for the 1989 killings of their parents in the family's Beverly Hills home. This is L.A. County District Attorney George Gasson.

I have to tell you unequivocally that we don't have a universal agreement. There are people in the office that strongly believe that the Menendez brothers should stay in prison the rest of their life. And they do not believe that they were molested. And there are people in the office that strongly believe that they should be released immediately.

Yeah, it's very split. The DA said his office will call for a sentence of 50 years to life. And because they were younger than 26 at the time of these murders, he said the brothers will be eligible for parole pretty much immediately.

What that means in this particular case is that we're going to recommend to the court that the life without the possibility of parole be removed and that they will be sentenced for murder.

Yeah, prosecutors are going to make that request in court today. Remember, the brothers testified at their trial that their dad had sexually molested them. And while the allegations were received with skepticism at the time, the DA now sees them as credible enough to warrant reconsideration by the court. The prosecutor's office has been reviewing new evidence in the case as well. Most family members have urged that the brothers be released. They were 18 and 21 at the time of the killings of their parents.
