My name is Neterica Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently, even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and stuff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.

It's hard to believe, isn't it, that we're a week away from Jingle Ball. So one week away from us having the time of our lives. Um, you have the dirty on the 30s, Shannon. We have War of the Roses then right afterwards, just to kind of give us a little clue on what to be listening for while you're driving to work. It's crazy this morning. It's cold.

It is so cold.

Okay. Have any of you guys watched the JonBenet Ramsey docuseries on Netflix? You did this weekend. I started it too. Yeah. Okay.

Why are people so fascinated with this?

Okay. If you don't know anything about this murder case, it's old. And that's why I kind of want to, you know, zhuzh your memory a little bit. That's a pageant term, by the way, because she was a pageant princess. But it happened in Colorado the day after Christmas back in 1996. Jean Vinay was this beautiful six-year-old little girl, pageant queen. She was found dead in her basement. Her killer to this day has never been found. Well, fast forward to now. Authorities in Colorado are following up on dozens of leads in this case. And they think they are real close to finding a resolution.

There's new hope in the decades-old unsolved murder case of JonBenet Ramsey. Sources say progress is being made in the investigation into the six-year-old's killing. Obviously a homicide, a criminal act has been committed. Somebody did it. Sources close to the investigation say a team of experts is going through the remaining evidence, using modern scientific and cold case techniques to try and crack the case. JonBenet's murder has frightened residents of Boulder. It was the day after Christmas in 1996 when JonBenet's parents realized their daughter was missing from their Boulder, Colorado home. A handwritten ransom note demanding $118,000 was left behind on the stairs by the kitchen. Hours later, Jon Ramsey found his daughter dead in the basement. The unsolved murder captivating people for nearly 30 years. Netflix now out with a docuseries on the case.

She had tape over her mouth and her hands were tied behind her back and I immediately pulled the tape off.

JonBenet's parents and brother were cleared in 2008 after additional DNA evidence was found. Boulder police released an annual update on the case, releasing the update earlier than usual this year due to increased attention on the investigation.

Detectives are regularly investigating some aspects of this terrible crime and I receive updates frequently.

Isn't that crazy that every year, at the end of the year, they do an update on it? Like that one, which is Boulder, Colorado, and I'm sure that they've got their fair share of crime, but this was the case that for some reason swept in it.

I mean, they pointed the finger at everybody. The mom, the dad, the brother, the maintenance guy, the...

Nah, you know, it's crazy, and this is my first time hearing this, so it might not be new knowledge or super crazy, but your kid go missing. The house can't be crazy big. You mean to tell me it took you two hours to go look in the basement?

Mm-hmm.

There's so many. The house was crazy big.

Because the killer has never gotten away before.

How is this that Netflix has now two big hits on their hands off of stories that were like from times where some of our listeners weren't even alive?

Yeah. Legitly. Dan Campbell says, Not a big deal. Talking about running back Jameer Gibbs accidentally leaking some of the team's audibles and protection calls on social media over the weekend, which I still think is so funny. But Campbell telling the Detroit Free Press, I don't really give a crap. He said, quote, if we're going to lose because of code words, then we're not good enough anyway.

Social media posts where, you know, there was a bunch of plays or partial calls on the whiteboard behind him. Is that something where you need to just remind a player to be smart about what they're posting on social media? Is there anything? Who was that? I believe Gibbs posted a photo of Jefferson with a bunch of, you know, lingo on the whiteboard in the running back room behind him. Oh, I didn't know that.

Yeah, he said at the end of his statement, it doesn't matter. It's not going to hurt us. It won't affect us. And it's all good. So that's that. And Britney Spears is single once again. And I mean, legally this time, she and her ex-husband Sam Ashkari have finalized their split or had, I should say, back in May. But they had to wait six months before California law would recognize them as truly single. So she's single. He initiated the divorce in August of last year, just over a year after they tied the knot. And neither of them have really wasted any time getting into new relationships. Remember, she moved on with that. I don't know. Was he the landscaper or the housekeeper or something? Oh, the poor boy. But he has like a rap sheet that's a mile long. And then Sam's dating some model or actress or I don't even care. But anyway, she's legally single. Alan Lee, my major is drafting and design. In high school, I did it since my sophomore year, and I kind of wanted to continue it. It was the only thing I was good at. I didn't want to move to a four-year yet. I don't think I was mentally prepared. I found Bishop State. They had the program. I met a few people there. I ended up enrolling. The instructor, first day I met him, I told him about my background. He said, okay, great. You know about this. He built me straight to work. He didn't let me have any leeway. He pushed me to my limits. So I think that made me choose drafting design at Bishop State and stuck with it. The sport's amazing. All my instructors just want to see me succeed. They want to push me to my limit. They want to see me be the best I can be, get a job, just be as successful as I can be. And I really appreciate all of them. With my degree, as of right now, my plan is to work for the city of Mobile with their urban planning department, and I've already got a job shadow before, and hopefully I will internship over the summer.
