Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:03:01 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 4:

All right, Shannon, what's going on in the Dirty on the 30?

00:03:04 - 00:03:15 | Speaker 9:

Tigers rookie Eduardo Valencia making his dream debut at Comerica Park against the Oakland A's last night. A home run in his first MLB at-bat.

00:03:15 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 6:

Eduardo gets his first ever Major League time after getting to Triple-A for the first time last year for 50 games. Valencia in the air, straight away center! And out of here! What a night!

00:03:37 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 9:

It was so sweet. He was so emotional about this.

00:03:42 - 00:03:45 | Speaker 6:

Eduardo Valencia downstairs with Daniela Bruce.

00:03:46 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 5:

Thank you, Jason. Eduardo, what a day for you. You make your Major League debut, your first at-bat. It's your first home run. What are you thinking as you watch that ball fly to center field?

00:03:57 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 7:

I was thinking, like, I was trying to hit a contact, like, get a good pitch, just be the more calm that I can do it. I was so excited. I mean, I was waiting a lot for this.

00:04:10 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 8:

For my family. For Venezuela. And I'm so excited.

00:04:18 - 00:04:23 | Speaker 5:

I know that your parents couldn't make the trip. They're still in Venezuela. What would your message be to them tonight?

00:04:24 - 00:04:45 | Speaker 8:

This is for all Venezuela people, for all my family, for all the coaches, in Dominicans, in Florida, for everybody. They give me everything. This is for all my family. My wife is right there. I don't know where, right there. Love you. I was waiting a lot for this moment.

00:04:45 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 5:

it's so exciting this is so special and we saw you give a little heart symbol

00:04:51 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 8:

behind home plate was that to your wife yeah to my wife she knows how work i'm i'm doing

00:05:00 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I'm so excited. I can tell right now. I'm so excited.

00:05:05 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 3:

We'll let you go celebrate with your wife and your teammates. What an incredible night. Can I get a jersey with his name on it?

00:05:11 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. Thank you so much for your time. Thank you for everybody. I'm ready for him. Everybody home. Love you. Love you, Venezuela. Thank you. I'm serious.

00:05:18 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 3:

That's the stuff right there, guys.

00:05:19 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 4:

Isn't it amazing? But Daniela, by the way, you did a great job. And shout out to Jason Benetti and Andy Dirks, who after that just kept quiet and let the moment of him and his wife hugging and kissing each other just be a visual i i will say this the guy is not a younger younger rookie like it like i don't know his age he looks like he's a little bit older like it's taken him a little bit of time to get to the triple a and then come up to the majors and um you could tell especially and i posted it i I think I shared it from the Detroit Tigers thing, Justin Verlander. In the dugout, the veterans were so happy for this young guy. And Verlander had a look on his face like, this is why, honestly, I want to be with this team and be in there. Because there's a lot of young talent that's on that team. So, it's pretty damn cool. Yeah, what a great moment. Can you imagine that? Your first time at bat, you hit to the deepest part of the ballpark. It's amazing. That's great.

00:06:20 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 3:

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey's Madison Square Garden wedding may go down as one of the most expensive celebrity weddings ever. There we go. Wedding experts tell me they're estimating that this thing was right around the $30 million mark with about $5 million spent on flowers. Alone. Holy crap. The venue itself, I mean, renting Madison Square Garden is not cheap. So they're saying that was probably another $5,000 to $10,000 right there. I mean, shutting down the streets, the staff, the food. The average American wedding, just so you can compare, comes in at about $34,000 right now. She's not getting any backlash on that, too.

00:07:06 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 4:

A lot of times, the celebrities will get backlash on that.

00:07:10 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 3:

I mean, but why? They have the money. They want to spend the money. Okay.

00:07:13 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 4:

I know. There's a lot of people, though. Go for it. We get a lot of homeless, and a lot of people need places to stay.

00:07:17 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 3:

She did make a bunch of donations to a lot of different organizations, her and Travis. That was their thing. And lastly, tickets to see Madison Beer are going for bargain prices right now. Was she in town last night? Was it last night she was at the Fox, Lydia? Bargain price. Okay. And I know that her boyfriend, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback, Justin Herbert, was there with her. He's in town? He was in town. Really? Yeah, he was in town last night on the show. Everybody was spotting him. But anyway, so she is two months into her Lock It tour. She's sold out venues in Austin, Vegas, San Francisco, L.A. She's expecting to max out Madison Square Garden, speaking of this weekend, but is it because ticket prices are so crazy cheap?

00:07:59 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's nice.

00:08:00 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 3:

Some fans were posting screenshots of tickets they got for just $7.14. The California Post also saw tickets selling for as low as $16 for some of her remaining tour stops, which if you're a fan, that's incredible. so now people are like well she only sold it out because the ticket prices are so affordable I think there are three shows to go Toronto, Boston and then the finale in New York City didn't we have Madison

00:08:27 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 2:

at one of our Jingle Balls we did the Fox Theater looked packed last night she put it on her story it was in there it was awesome it was in there

Congratulations. We're going to set you up, Amy, with a $50 gas card to Kroger, courtesy of Kroger Delivery and Kroger Gas. We'll give you that. And you're now qualified to win a brand new 2026 $20,000 or $28,000 Chevy Trax or $20,000 in cash. Which would you take? Thank you. I would take the car probably. Thank you. Yes, I would too. I would take it. What are you driving nowadays? A Chevy Blazer. Okay. Let's get a Chevy Blazer and a Chevy Trax in that driveway. You got any more drivers in that house that might need one? I'm a 16-year-old son. Okay. That would be a nice one. Which car would he get? Would he get the brand-new one, or would he get the mom one that you just had?

00:10:00 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 5:

Probably mine. Okay. I would get the little newer one. Yeah. New car smell. I love it. Unless Kevin's sitting next to you after eating yogurt tonight before. It'll still be a new car smell. Congratulations to you. You hang on the phone for just one second, and we're going to get your information from you. Have a fantastic weekend. Appreciate you.

I'm Mange Shatigular, and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, curmudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.

00:11:36 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 3:

I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know.
