Okay, so starting off with a not-so-great story, but it is the biggest story in the wake of these fires that are burning in L.A. People are looting, which is just asinine to me. L.A. County Sheriff Robert Luna announced the arrest of at least 20 people for looting homes damaged or destroyed by the fires, And he warned anybody that's caught doing that, looting or trespassing in the evacuation zones, you are going to face severe consequences. He emphasized that deputies are patrolling those vulnerable areas. At this point, nearly 20,000 acres are just gone because of the fires, which is so incredibly tragic. So many homes, businesses don't exist anymore. They are just ash and rubble.

Pacific Palisades is no more. Literally the entire town is no more.

Now, this is L.A. Fire Chief Kristen Crowley, and this was yesterday evening. These numbers have since changed as of this morning.

Current acreage is 19,978. There are currently 5,316 structures that were damaged or destroyed. And unfortunately, our thoughts and prayers go out to the families. We do have a confirmed two fatalities that are now due to this incident.

Yeah, eight more fatalities were confirmed this morning, so that death toll has risen to 10.

Yesterday you said that it was the entire area of Manhattan is the size of what the fires were.

Manhattan's about 14,000 acres. This is 20,000 acres now gone.

They say now it's the entire city of San Francisco. So imagine the city of San Francisco completely gone.

Yeah, this is a star. And is it still zero contained?

He was doing an interview on CBS, I believe, last night, and it's heartbreaking, or he said it's heartbreaking because you start to think about all of the memories and the different parts of your house and whatnot, and then you see your neighbor's houses, well, just gone, everything around you is gone, and your heart breaks, and he said he and his pregnant wife evacuated Tuesday night. she's literally two days away from giving birth right now they don't have a home to bring a baby home to anymore today the supreme court will hear arguments over the fate of tiktok a social media platform that has more than 170 million users on a monthly basis here's the thing tiktok could shut down in the united states by sunday january 19th unless the supreme court strikes down or otherwise delays the effective date of a law aimed at forcing TikTok sale by its Chinese parent company.

Judgment day for TikTok with arguments at the Supreme Court today over the fate of the app. The social media platform used by an estimated 100 million Americans is set to be banned in the U.S. beginning January 19th when a law signed by President Biden is set to take effect. Last year, TikTok was given an ultimatum, sell to a U.S. company or be shut down. But China has signaled it won't allow TikTok's algorithm to be sold. And TikTok's Chinese parent company is fighting the ban, calling it unconstitutional. Some legal experts agree.

This is a case where Americans are utilizing a foreign publisher to express their opinions. That's something the First Amendment would protect. This legislation singles out TikTok. And if these concerns are legitimate, then other platforms might be implicated.

But there's bipartisan support for this ban. Many lawmakers and experts insisting the app poses a national security risk, saying there's little to stop China from accessing Americans' data. Stuck in the middle? Millions of people who rely on TikTok to make a living. The company says 7 million American businesses use it.

For a lot of us, this is going to be a huge income loss.

President Trump made saving TikTok a campaign promise. For all of those that want to save TikTok in America, vote for Trump. He wants the Supreme Court to delay the ban until he takes office.

Yeah, I don't know if they're going to take President-elect Trump's views about this into account at any point in the process, but the justices do have a plea from the president.

So the 19th is the date. The 20th he gets inaugurated. It's interesting that those dates match that.

Can he just sign off executive order? Not now.

I'm saying when he get in, obviously. I don't know the actual legality stat, but those executive orders sometimes do work. I think if he was in office now, he possibly could.
