I'm Mange Shachigular, and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, curmudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.

00:00:49 - 00:00:54 | Speaker 1:

I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know.

00:01:40 - 00:01:44 | Speaker 6:

95th Caller's going to win those Pistons tickets. Good luck. Right now, let's get a look at what's trending. Shannon, what's up?

00:01:45 - 00:02:41 | Speaker 3:

So several media outlets, I'm kind of seeing this a few different places, are reporting the kind of massive failure You're of Beyonce's vastly unsold Cowboy Carter tour. The tour, I think, has only sold out three of the 30 shows, although Ticketmaster and StubHub are saying tickets for all shows on the tour are still available. But 27 shows still have a lot of unsold tickets. The tour kicks off at the end of April. A music industry insider making a comment to one of these tabloids saying, sometimes you don't retire, the fans retire you. and everybody's trying to figure out like what is it is it they don't like the the album i are the tickets just too expensive because they are incredibly overpriced her ticket sales are especially slow in the uk according to the london times which is kind of different for her normally

00:02:41 - 00:03:05 | Speaker 6:

she does really well there so i don't know what's going on but she plays big venues uh but this time she's only playing a few cities like she's not doing every single city so when she was here at Ford Field there were tickets that were available like night of the show that were for some of the cheap seats and stuff like that or the not so cheap seats that people just couldn't afford the big expensive one I think this is a weird one when you're only doing regional shows like this

00:03:05 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 3:

that she's still got tickets available which means people need well yes for sure I Megan had to run out of the studio but i know she tried to get tickets to the show in chicago and she was like three rows from the top of the nosebleeds and with all the fees and stuff her ticket was still coming out to 800 wow that's a problem yeah steven a smith addressing thursday night's very tense confrontation with lebron james smith sitting courtside for the lakers showdown with the Knicks in L.A., and at one point, a visibly angry LeBron confronted him and then walked away.

00:03:43 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

That was LeBron James coming up to me, unexpectedly, I might add, to confront me about making sure that I mind what I say about his son. Can't repeat the words because they ain't suited for FCC airwaves that's what he was doing um and I thought long and hard about this uh over the last few hours because I had no intentions Molly of talking about this at all yeah and the reason why is because it was a one-on-one I wouldn't say a conversation but it was a one-on-one confrontation uh but then I wake up and everybody from ESPN and my agent and everybody else were sending me that this thing had gone viral. And so ultimately it was unavoidable. And that is why I have to discuss it now. That wasn't a basketball player confronting me. That was a parent. That was a father. And I can't sit here and be angry or feel slighted by LeBron James in any way in that regard. By all accounts, he's obviously a wonderful.

00:05:00 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 4:

family man and a wonderful father who cares very very deeply about his son i actually respected that he came out to say that do you know what it was that stephen a said about lebron's son so this is actually the clip from i believe it was prior two days before or something like that where he was talking about brawny during his last game that he was playing and he said this

00:05:21 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 1:

i'm really really trying to be as respectful as i possibly can be towards lebron james i am pleading with lebron james as a father stop this stop this we all know that bronny james is in the nba because of his dad we love what we're seeing from him in the g league because that's where you belong as you hone your skills and you get better and you legitimately earn which i believe he has the potential to do i am rooting for bronny james it's a wonderful kid i wish him nothing but the best but he's lebron james son and everybody knows what attention that brings

00:06:11 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 4:

I hope that this doesn't make Stephen A. Smith soft on his commentary. Because the reason why he's the highest paid broadcaster right now, he is. He just signed a humongous deal. Is because he's willing to call out stuff. And I hope that LeBron confronting him. I don't think what LeBron did was wrong. As a dad, if somebody goes and attacks my kid, I would hope that I would have the guts to go and go after them. But I think they both have the right to do what they're doing. Absolutely. That's their jobs. Yeah, absolutely.

00:06:39 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 5:

In that clip, he said, as a father. Yes. And then he said LeBron James came to him not as a basketball player, but as a father. But as a father. Yep. And when you speak, regardless of your position, there are consequences that come with you. Obviously, that is your profession. This is what you get paid to do, and that's okay. But understand that somebody may have something to say about that. Yeah, yeah. And he did, and he handled it face-to-face. He didn't send his people. He didn't do it backstage. He didn't try to muscle him. Came over and had a quick conversation with him, and that was it.

00:07:08 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 4:

The bummer is that LeBron is injured now. He injured himself in that Celtics game over the weekend. And I thought what LeBron had going on here towards the end, and he's going to be out for a couple of weeks, was something special. I mean, there could have been something really interesting that was going to be happening. And I think it still could happen. There's still enough season left.

00:07:28 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:07:28 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 4:

But, I mean, I do think Bronny probably needs to be in the G League more. And I think if I were the Lakers, I wouldn't put that pressure on LeBron, you know, so.

00:07:40 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 8:

And Leslie, Anna Kendrick's response to a reporter who asked about her new movie with Blake Lively. There was the big premiere over the weekend for another simple favor. And this reporter asked her about everything going on. Anna Kendrick's response, epic.

00:07:57 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 6:

The other thing I want to ask you, how do you feel like the every how does it feel like the movie's being impacted kind of by everything happening around going on? in the world why what happened i did ayahuasca and the last year of my life is just gone but i've heard the movies amazing genius response yeah she wasn't talking about she wasn't talking

00:08:15 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 8:

about bad about blake lively on that red carpet no way and it are her and blake lively not uh i don't think they are they are good based on everything i've heard they have not been good

00:08:27 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 7:

for quite some time well but right as this press tour was starting there was a clip that surfaced from their first press tour together. Yeah, they didn't like each other then. And Anna Kendrick was being like, oh, princess, is it so hard being you? And it was, Anna put her Blake in her place and I feel like they're just staying separate.

00:08:45 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 8:
