Brad Pitt and his family are mourning the loss of his mom, Jane Etta Pitt, who passed away at age 84 this week. She was a retired school counselor, a loving grandma. She, her granddaughter said she was just a very creative, caring woman who made every grandchild feel special. The Pitt family honoring her charitable spirit by founding a pediatric cancer center in her name. Very private and quiet woman, but she did accompany Brad on a few different red carpet moments. So you did see her in public from time to time. Jen Powell going to make history as the very first woman to officiate a regular season Major League Baseball game during the upcoming Marlins vs. Brave series in Atlanta this coming weekend. She's going to work the bases in a Saturday doubleheader and then serve as the home plate umpire on Sunday, I believe. 48 years old, she hails from New Jersey. She began umpiring professionally in 2016 in the Gulf Coast League, climbed to AAA, and then officiated MLB Spring Training Games in 2024 and then this year as well. Pretty cool. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred calling her a role model for women and girls.

00:02:51 - 00:04:04 | Speaker 5:

It's interesting they took a long time to get this because the NFL was first, then basketball was second, and now baseball is following suit. Interesting. If you ever follow on social media, John Boy. Who's that? He's a guy that does baseball analysis, and he's got a great Instagram following, Facebook following, some funny stuff. he always does the voice of the umpires arguing with the managers and players and stuff like that i wonder if there ever is an argument between her which i've seen in minor leagues she's had face to faces with you know these men who are managers i wonder if john boy will do it normal like he does it now where he pretends like he's the voice of each one or if he'll bring in a female no he's got to do it he's got to do them both and it'll look weird if you just changes that. He's hysterical though if you've never followed him. You sent me some videos and he is pretty funny. He's very funny. He actually did you know what's funny? He got bought that got bought by MLB. Major League Baseball bought his site is kind of like Barstool and his site got bought by Major League Baseball because he's done so much to promote the game through that site. Wow.

00:04:04 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, an ex-girlfriend of Florida Republican Representative Corey Mills is accusing him of threatening to release sexually explicit images and videos of her after their relationship ended we call this revenge porn lindsey langston is her name she's a florida republican party committee member she's also a pageant queen filed a police report last month in florida and she submitted a whole bunch of screenshots of messages that lindsey said she exchanged with cory um and they show an account under Corey Mill's name saying he was going to share with an unidentified man a bunch of videos that he had of Lindsay. Similar comments are made in text conversations. There were some threats made in a statement shared with CNN, the congressman denying any wrongdoing. I know

00:04:55 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

she's beautiful, right? What is Miss United States? I've never heard of that either.

00:05:00 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 1:

But he came out yesterday to say these claims are false and misrepresent the nature of my interactions. I have always conducted myself with integrity, both personally, excuse me, and in service to Florida's 7th District. But I think we're going to hear a little bit more about this case just because of the nature of it. For everything you missed today, you can catch up by checking out the podcast. 00:05:31 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 6:

That laugh.

00:05:32 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 4:

What is that?

00:05:33 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 6:

It drives me crazy. I love it. Oh, you do? It drives me crazy. All right. We got a winner. His name is Jeff, and he's going to see Chris Brown. See you, Jeff? Congratulations. Jeff. Yes, sir. How you doing? Jeff is from Indiana listening to us on the iHeartRadio app, and you're going to see Chris Brown. You're driving. To Detroit to see Chris Brown at Ford Field in downtown Detroit.

00:06:00 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 5:

Wow.

00:06:01 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 7:

I appreciate it. Our ears blink already.

00:06:05 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 6:

What are you doing? What is that? What's going on with your phone and with that noises? And what is happening, Jeff? Are you a truck driver or something? Or what are you? Yes, unfortunately, that's what I do. Okay. All right. Wait a second. Can you go? You're from Indiana. And you have an accent? People in Indiana have accents like that?

00:06:24 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 5:

Do they really? Well, I guess you could call me a Hoosier Hillbilly. You're a Hoosier Hillbilly.

00:06:31 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 6:

You're Larry Bird. This is Larry Bird on the phone with us right now. Do you look like Larry Bird? No way. No, okay. Better looking. Thank God. Congratulations to you, buddy. Hold on one second. Are you a big fan of Chris Brown?

00:06:48 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 5:

Yes, sir.

00:06:49 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 6:

What's your favorite Chris Brown song to test you out?

00:06:52 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 5:

I live here on the radio every day. I drive up for five days a week.

00:06:58 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 6:

What's your favorite Chris Brown song? Hold on. You cannot swear. You don't know. Are you trying to sell these tickets on StubHub?

00:07:07 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 5:

Oh, hell no.

00:07:10 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 6:

All right. What's your favorite Chris Brown song? What's your favorite Chris Brown song? Hang on. Hang on. He's trying to Google it. Lydia, this guy is buying... How did this guy get through?

00:07:25 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 3:

He told me that he wanted to take his wife.

00:07:27 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 6:

He's going to take his wife to go see Chris Brown, but he doesn't know Chris Brown. Maybe they just want to go have a good time. Oh, he hung

00:07:34 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 2:

up. Aww. He did?

00:07:37 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I think he intimidated him. Maybe his phone

00:07:39 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 6:

cut off. Well, no. See, well, he's got to... We got to give him a chance to call back because maybe it could be a mistake or something. If he doesn't call back, then why don't we do this? We'll reopen those tickets back up and give listeners... Are you going, by the way? No, no, I'm not. That would be a great show.

00:07:54 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 3:

The prices were insane. I saw him last day.

00:07:56 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 6:

Even with two shows.

00:07:57 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:07:58 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 6:

Why do we not have Chris Brown headlining a jingle ball? Like, oh, do you know how many tickets?

00:08:03 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 7:

Can't we? Everybody want to drag him because of the Rihanna situation. Nobody wants to give Chris his flowers. And then you see what happened when he sold out two back-to-back shows at Ford Field.

00:08:12 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 6:

Honestly, that might be the most shocking thing of the summer was that Chris Brown sold out two shows at Ford Field. You'd only want that shot. I can't. I agree. I'm totally shocked. All right, we'll be right back.

00:08:21 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 4:

Hey, I'm sure he'll stop cheating once you get married. Another War of the Roses is after nine on Mojo in the Morning.
