All right, and Nora was the big winner at the Academy Awards last night.

What is that movie?

So, I mean, talk about a low-budget film. They said it cost more to put on the Academy Awards last night than it did to create, to make this movie at $6 million. I love that.

It's a movie about a sex worker falling in love with a guy who's the son of a Russian oligarch, and he's trying to break them up.

So, the movie only cost $9 million to make. I think $6. Or $6 million. The stat I gave you this morning about that because I heard it on Good Morning America was the movie made less money than it cost to put the Oscars on. The movie's only made $40 million. Yeah. The Oscars cost $68 million to put the Oscar telecast on.

It's like the movie or the swag bags that were given to the nominees cost more than what the movie cost.

I think that's important. Crazy. I think that's important for artists out there who love the art of filmmaking, music, whatever your medium is, to not believe or not think that you have to have the budget in order to create.

And can I also say something? And I cannot for the life of me remember who was accepting the award. But somebody got up there, a man, and said something about, please, please, can we keep going to the theater? As the director, Sean. Okay, to watch movies instead of putting them straight to streaming services or, you know, in these distribution companies need to make sure that these films are going to the movie theater so we can continue to get that experience because it is totally different. Shout out to Paul Glanson, Imagine. Absolutely, yeah. So, Anora named Best Picture, Mikey Madison won for Best Actress, even though I think all eyes were on Demi Moore for that one. And Sean Baker earning the honors, that's what I was talking about, for Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Editing. The show kicked off so strong. Ariana Grande doing Somewhere Over the Rainbow. And then she was joined on stage by her weekend co-star, Cynthia Erivo. I mean, I just got goosebumps every time they sing. It's insane.

Bring me down.

That's amazing.

It is.

And then at the end of the night, they left going, that mother effing Oscars.

I think Ariana was robbed. I don't know about Cynthia Erivo. I wanted her to win because I want her to be the youngest EGOT winner. But I do think Ariana was robbed this year.

Yeah, Timothee Chalamet missing his chance to become the youngest Oscar winner in that Best Actor category.

Cynthia Erivo, to me, was better in that movie than Ariana Grande.

I agree, but I think the leading ladies category was harder than Ariana's. Okay.

Jossie, Holly Berry, Kiss, Adrienne Brody. Yeah, they reenacted. Yeah. In front of his wife, too, though. And she led them. Are they married?

I don't think they're married. Okay. You know who he's dating, right? Georgina? Are they married? Georgina Chapman is Harvey Weinstein's ex.

Oh, my God. Where's that mouth been?

Isn't that crazy? Isn't that crazy? Yeah, I was trying to explain that to Wes last night.

Is Halle Berry married? Nah. She's divorced. She looked so great last night.

Oh, she's always looked so great. My God. So Adrian Brody, speaking of Best Actor for The Brutalist, Zoe Zaldana, named Best Supporting Actress for Emilia Perez, and Kieran Culkin with the Best Accepted Speech maybe ever. I loved it. I thought it was so cute. Won for Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain, speaking directly to his wife in the audience.

About a year ago,

I was on a stage like this and I very stupidly publicly said that I want a third kid from her because she said if I won the award I would she would give me the kid uh it turns out she said that because she didn't think I was gonna win um but after and people came up to her and were like you know uh really annoying her I think I think it got to her but anyway uh after the show we're walking through a parking lot she's holding the Emmy we're trying to find our car Emily you were there so you're a witness and she goes oh god I did say that I guess I owe you a third kid and And I turned to her and I said, really, I want four. And she turned to me, I swear to God, this happened. It was just over a year ago. She said, I will give you four when you win an Oscar.

Let's get to work. That movie is so good, by the way. A Real Pain. Oh, I haven't seen that. Everybody, go watch it.

The guy from Succession that's his co-star in Succession. Yes. Why does he always look like he's angry? I know.

I think he is kind of a butthole in real life. I think he's kind of an A-hole.

And then somebody was posting on social media. What was the other actor that was up for that Best Supporting Actor award?

Sebastian Stan?

No. For The Apprentice? The guy that won.

Oh, no. That's the guy from Succession is supporting.

Guy Pearce? No, there was another person. Ed Norton?

Ed Norton.

Ed Norton mouthed something like he didn't think that he should have won or something like that. Can I just say?

I love when they go back. Like, even this morning, they were going back to see what Demi Moore mouthed when she lost the Best Actress trophy. And it was just nice. Yeah. Like, actually, that's the word she said was just nice as she's clapping. Edward Norton is getting hotter with age. Right?

Interesting.

There's controversy with him. Right? I gotta, I gotta, I don't know.

You said the F word afterwards. Yeah, that's what it was. Like, he was, is that what it was? Like, in an upset way, right? Yeah.

Um, so, where was I going with this? Kendrick. Kendrick. Conan O'Brien made a Kendrick Lamar Drake joke at one point in the middle of the awards show.

Well, we're halfway through the show, which means it's time for Kendrick Lamar to come out and call Drake a pedophile.

I thought he did a good job.

He was good.

As host. I thought he did a good job.

Don't worry, I'm lawyered up.

Anyway. So you get the Oscars a couple days before the Oscars. The Razzie Award winners are announced. The Razzie's, it's like a parody award honoring the worst in film. The unlucky group of winners includes Dakota Johnson, Seinfeld. John Boyd won three different awards. Amy Schumer, director Francis Ford Coppola.

After the awards was a big news story. We haven't covered this this morning, but there was a 3.9 earthquake. Oh, in L.A. In L.A. that was felt in the after party, so all the people were freaking out about that because they were worried about what was going on. And then the big news, or the big story that I kept hearing a lot of people talking about was at one of the after parties, Chapo Rhone. Oh, got on stage with Elton John. Yeah, that was good. They got on stage, and they did.

Actually, he got on stage with her.

She was performing. They did Pink Pony Club together. There. Hold on a second. Let me play some of this for you.

Yeah, honestly, I actually was singing along to this clip this morning. Isn't it too late for him to do a remix? No, she can't do that because that ruined Dua Lipa's career.

That's great. The Joker movie, by the way, won the Razzie for worst prequel or remake. Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga won worst on-screen duo. So, this year's winners, by the way, at the Razzies take home a $4.97 gold spray painted statuette. I have more dirty.

How come the music's done? It's almost 9 o'clock. Can you do it next hour?
