All right, what do you got in this hour's dirty, Shannon?

So we're going to start with an update on the American Airlines flight crash. Confirmed last night, everybody on board that jet and also the Black Hawk military helicopter that collided near Reagan National Airport Wednesday night has died. Both aircrafts ended up in the Potomac River after that mid-air collision. I think they are very confident that they are going to recover all of the bodies, but just still such a sad situation. Yesterday, crews recovered not only the flight data recorder, but also the cockpit voice recorder from American Airlines flight 5342. President Trump yesterday speaking specifically about that helicopter being where it should not have been.

The helicopter obviously was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

He also suggested that DEI hiring practices, so diversity, equity and inclusion, may have contributed to that crash.

Because I have common sense, okay? And unfortunately, a lot of people don't. We want brilliant people doing this. This is a major chess game at the highest level.

What is he basing that comment on?

Somebody, well, a reporter specifically asked him about that, and that was his response.

He said that the DEI hiring of the air traffic controllers, that they were, and this has been longer than just uh the last four years because he was blaming biden for this for the last decade they've allowed the ability to hire people that worked here traffic control that had maybe disabilities and um i don't know necessarily if they're the ones guiding planes in or whatever but but he that's what he was saying on it but i will say this to you there is definitely a shortage of these people there and a lot of people are saying that that d the dei hiring

caused for a shortage which we learned and we've talked about all morning of there there was one person doing the job of two people but i don't think that's due to dei hiring is that due to the

federal funding freezes and all of that because the dei hiring when it comes to this air traffic controllers one of the hardest jobs you can get you have to pass physical exams and then you have to get a degree and then you have to pass a training session at a specific airport in the country and then they assign you like it's a very difficult process you have to be under 31 i thought when they were talking about the dei hiring it was for so it's not just air traffic controllers in this department right so they have like housekeeping and stuff like that so the dei aspects of inclusion of people who may have paralysis or disabilities or whatever could be in other jobs within the department but it's not air traffic controllers themselves i don't know if that's i

don't know any of the specifics on what you just said but i do know this the idea that they had a an undermanned air traffic control tower and that they allowed one guy to leave you know early from work yes is the reason why this incident took place now i agree with you on that but they need to start getting their crap together and hire people that are qualified to work in these jobs and hire abundance of these people and we need to pay for that i don't understand the dei connection

that's what i'm saying i feel like if you come out and you make a statement like that you need to have a little bit more explanation and not just ending a sentence saying it was DEI.

I don't think that there is a taxpayer that wouldn't say that they would want their taxes to go towards the safety of planes not falling out of the air.

Yeah, I mean, we can all agree there.

And I feel bad. If I was a family member or one of those people that was on that plane and found out that that guy or woman or whoever it was that was inside that tower left work early and they let them go home, I mean, that's crazy.

We laugh, but that's right. I'd rather have a human. That's coming.

Here's the problem. Air traffic controllers make a mistake. People die. It's like people that are operating on you in an operating room. It's not like you or I making a mistake and we have dead air.

Right. Heard something about our very own Jared Goff this week. I actually heard this from two different people. And I wanted to pass it along because it makes everything make sense to me. Did he play last night in that NFC?

The Pro Bowl game? Yes. He actually helped him win.

I don't watch that stuff. It's stupid to me.

Okay. Well, anyway. His name was out there. And I was like, oh, here. Okay. So the night before the Lions took on the Commanders, he got freaking food poisoning and was up all night barfing his guts out. Makes sense. Why did they not talk about this? That he didn't play as phenomenally as he normally does. Where did he eat? That night. I don't know that. But two different people told me he was ill all night and still managed to get out on the field and play. That's interesting. I mean, that would be rough, right?

I mean, that was the worst game he had all year by far. But can you imagine having to play? Yeah, that was a bad game too. Although, thank God we won that game. Yeah.

In other NFL dirty today, Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker being accused by six different massage therapists of inappropriate sexual behavior at four different spas located in the Baltimore area. Allegedly, and I can't really read through all of these allegations because some of them are not appropriate for the air, but he exposed his genitals, touched two women with his genitals, did some other stuff on the massage table following treatments that I'm not going to get specific about, but multiple therapists allege that his behavior was so bad that they would see his name on the schedule and cancel him before he could come in, or they just banned him altogether. I know two spas specifically banned him from coming back. The Baltimore Banner did an investigation into this, and they launched their investigation after receiving a tip at the beginning of the month. They spoke to six massage therapists who all brought up allegations against Tucker. They happened a few years ago, 2012 through 2016. But these women said they've been waiting a long time to share their story. The Ravens, aware of the allegations, they say they are monitoring the situation Justin Tucker came right out and called all of the allegations unequivocally false. Zayn Malik's former One Direction bandmate, Louis Tomlinson, was hanging out at Zayn's show this week in LA. So it was Wednesday night, I believe. And he, Zayn confirmed Louis' presence at the show. This was at Shrine, the Shrine Expo Hall in LA. He actually announced to the crowd, an old friend of mine is here supporting me tonight. I don't want to give his location away, But Louie is here tonight and obviously got a very warm reception from all of the fans. And just a heads up on something happening today and today only. It might not be July, but I just saw that 7-Eleven is gifting customers a free small Slurpee of your choice today. Normally they do this on July 11th, like hence 7-Eleven. But they're doing it today to celebrate the end of January because they say so many Americans experience a mood decline in the cooler months.
