mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30 let's get caught up on what's training in the dirty on

00:01:06 - 00:01:14 | Speaker 5:

30 by the way current temperature right now real feel temperature is minus 19 degrees in our

00:01:14 - 00:02:10 | Speaker 2:

listening area minus 19 that windchill it's the windchill that's doing it oh yeah it is so cold all right so these dang streaming services i swear netflix is now raising the price of its standard ad-free plan for the first time in three years um i know i feel like they just the official thing i'm getting it says three years but the company announced it's going to be quote-unquote adjusting prices i love how they say that adjusting prices on most of its plans within the u.s and canada those changes amount to a monthly hike of a buck to 250 depending on the plan so the ad supported plan will now cost 7.99 a month up from 6.99 the standard plan $17.99 a month. The premium plan will cost you $24.99 a month, up from $22.99. The cost for an extra member on an existing account will also be going up by a buck to $8.99 a month.

00:02:11 - 00:02:45 | Speaker 5:

They're buying too many things like they want to buy Tyson fights, that Tyson-Jake Paul fight where they set a record with the amount of people streaming. And they did the football games over Christmas. They have that. And I think what's happening is they need more money to buy more of these events that are bringing them a lot of money. They're screwing the average person that went to Netflix for not that, but for just streaming. Now they want to become a cable service. And I think that Netflix is taking it out on the customer that loved them for what they loved them for. Yeah, I mean

00:02:45 - 00:02:53 | Speaker 2:

another one doing this is Prime. Amazon, if I have to pay for one more dang movie on Amazon Prime I'm like, I'm already paying for the

00:02:53 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 5:

service. I recommend this to you, and I really do think that this is the thing. I think that we all need to go back to cable and say screw streaming

00:03:02 - 00:03:12 | Speaker 4:

services. I'm kind of with you. Cancel them all. The only way it changes is if people actually cancel them all. I canceled all streaming services. I will not rent movies on Prime. I will not buy them.

00:03:12 - 00:03:16 | Speaker 6:

What's good, though? Like, what are y'all watching on regular TV? YouTube and get a

00:03:16 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 4:

hobby. Listen, I read more. I play more games. I bake more. There are other things to do and watch television and until we change our behaviors, this purging of our money will not change. But for the people like Shannon and Mojo

00:03:30 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 6:

who say go back to cable, like where are y'all really watching on cable? Well,

00:03:33 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 5:

I don't think even... I don't know. Somebody said that if TikTok were to have gone away or maybe does go away in 70 some days, some people said that the streaming services were the ones that were going to bank in on this. It wasn't even another social media platform. It was just that people were going to look for other forms of entertainment and now they got to be careful because being able just to watch, to me, a two-minute video or a minute-and-a-half video is better than watching a full-on show.

00:04:01 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:04:01 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 5:

I think it keeps me entertained long enough.

00:04:03 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:04:04 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 5:

That's why radio is the best. We're not charging you. We're free.

00:04:09 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 2:

Freaking men, the free iHeartRadio app. You can listen to podcasts 24 hours a day, 70s week. Justin Bieber had fans kind of scratching their heads going, is his marriage to Haley over based on the unfollow that happened in the early morning hours. Here's the deal. He hopped on his Instagram story yesterday afternoon and wrote, Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife. Spit is getting sus out here. So all is good. And then he was posting pictures of her later in the day.

00:04:40 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 6:

That's the story we got. Hey, let this song rock for a minute.

00:04:43 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

One of the people he unfollowed in the past couple of weeks, by the way, is Ariana Grande. Ariana Grande in the dirty for liking an Instagram post that threw shade at Carrie Underwood's performance at Donald Trump's inauguration. The internet went wild about this like.

00:05:00 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 4:

The post, and Megan, you can help me explain this because it has to do with Drag Race and you're a Drag Race fan. But the post showed Kamala Harris's expression behind Carrie as she sang America the Beautiful Acapella after there was that technical glitch. The caption was a reference to Kamala evoking one of RuPaul's Drag Race all-stars.

00:05:23 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 5:

So essentially Ariana Grande has been a judge on Drag Race now twice. she's very into the whole like show right not only has she been on part of it a couple of times she tweets about it all the time she posts memes from it all the time we love to see it so this meme itself was circulating on drag race like like internet holes i know that's a weird way of saying it but anywhere where drag race fans are they do this thing on drag race where every season they start with a talent show and coco montrees has this iconic line where it says find the note girl find the note when one of the queens was singing live and it was really really bad so somebody posted the Carrie Underwood clip of her singing at the inauguration with the caption find the note girl find the note which is what she liked it's this big long drag race joke kind of bringing her down saying you're doing a really terrible job of singing live yeah I think the

00:06:14 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 2:

circumstances though for Carrie Underwood was that she thought the music was going to be there the music wasn't there and that I don't know you got to be careful sometimes and correct me if I'm

00:06:23 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 4:

wrong and i had the song dangerous woman on there i kind of want to if you can put it back up there but um wasn't there was there some yeah there was like a little tiff in the past between ari and carrie underwood already with this song tiff you said well dangerous woman was supposed to be carrie

00:06:39 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 5:

underwood and ariana grande she liked it and said i'm gonna take that rewrote it and made her own so there's already a little bit of a rift because this was supposed to be carrie underwood's song

00:06:50 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 4:

Isn't that crazy? Did you know that, Kat? Interesting.

00:06:53 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 2:

No, I did not know that.

00:06:54 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 4:

So there's a little bit of a history there anyway.

00:06:56 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 2:

I'm so enlightened. I don't think Carrie Underwood could have made this song. Ariana went crazy on this, though.

00:07:01 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 4:

Oh, see, I could totally hear this as a country song. Oh, for sure? Yes. For sure, the chorus. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. Instagram and Facebook users claim their accounts have automatically followed Donald Trump, J.D. Vance, Melania Trump after Monday's inauguration. And people were freaking out about this. Across social media, users were complaining and sounding off that Mehta was forcing them to follow the president and our new first lady. Well, if you were experiencing this, here's the story. And it's a very simple explanation if you have not already figured this out. The accounts that users reported following, that they said that they didn't follow, were not the personal accounts of Trump, Vance, and Melania. Simply, they were the official POTUS, VP, and FLOTUS accounts. So those change based on whomever the incoming administration is. They change automatically. So if you were, you know, Kev, following POTUS when it was Joe Biden, on Monday it changed to an account for Donald Trump. Automatically, that account changed. And then Joe Biden now goes back to getting his other account. So it wasn't aimed at getting people to follow the Trumps and J.D. Vance. It was simply those accounts now have been repositioned for the current administration, which is interesting to me. And lastly, JetBlue now accepting Venmo payments for flights. And people are saying this is going to become a thing for other airlines to hop on board. Venmo payment options are now available on JetBlue's website, and they're going to roll it out in their mobile app in the coming months. So you can purchase flights through your Venmo balance or your linked bank accounts, debit cards, and credit cards. I kind of love that. It makes it super easy. Cool.
