My name is Patrick Pettway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. for me to be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State pay for all of my tuition. Not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website. Like I said, I'm a 40-year-old man, so I don't use technology too much, but it was very understandable where I needed to go. It was extremely fast. Well, an executive action that was signed by President Trump yesterday calls for making thousands of documents related to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. public.

Americans are one step closer to learning more about three of the biggest assassinations in U.S. history. President Trump has signed an executive order to release all documents related to the killings of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. 99% of the JFK documents have been released, but thousands of files remain either partially

or fully withheld. What remains is about 4,400 documents from a variety of federal agencies, primarily the CIA, that still contain some redactions ranging from a word to a paragraph

to a page to the whole document. Experts don't expect any bombshells from the files. Tom Samuluk, who serves on the board of directors at the JFK Library, says he reviewed all classified documents years ago. He tells our station in Boston the records will not reveal any smoking gun. There will be some puzzle pieces that will be put back in that will tell a more robust and rich story. Lee Harvey Oswald was identified as the sole gunman, but conspiracies abound. A former Secret service agent with Kennedy at the time, wrote a memoir in 2023 saying he found a bullet in the back of Kennedy's car but forgot until recently. His account challenges the government's finding that a single bullet hit both Kennedy and Texas Governor John Connolly. As for the MLK assassination, those documents could reveal more about allegations the FBI was complicit in his killing. The Justice Department determined James Earl Ray acted alone, but a congressional investigation found the years-long surveillance on King by FBI agents in order to undermine the

civil rights leader was probably a felony. Probably. You know what's amazing about this? I think in all three cases, I think we're going to see that it was government, like CIA, FBI, some of these agent guys. And I think we're going to know the names because back then, during the kennedy days you know who was running the cia it was george bush senior and we're going to see some of the people that became eventually even bigger in washington dc that were tied into the martin luther king jr and i think that the reason why over the years we haven't seen those released is

because it's only going to make these guys look bad.

I like the way you're talking right now. I'm telling you. I just don't like the redactions. Like, if we're going to put it out, pull it all out. What are we doing? What are we putting blackout sheets? Well, that's what they're saying. They're getting unredacted.

Yeah. Oh, they are? It's getting unredacted. Oh, okay, okay. I misheard. That was part of what I hate, actually, that he said, there are going to be no smoking guns from this. I'm like, okay. What's that?

Well, basically, they're trying to say the Kennedy thing was the Kennedy thing, And it was probably a lone guy that was involved in the deal. But you know that there was a lot of talk back then. If you watched any of those movies that were out, I mean, JFK and those, those are great movies. You knew that there was something more to the whole story.

I mean, he has some really tough days, you know, and as the chemo has been accumulating, it gets a little tougher and more difficult. Yeah, we love her, Dave.

It was one of the things that, for somebody like me, was appealing about playing here, wanting to play here, and coach here. This is a sleeping giant for football.

Going into this season, I felt like this place was a sleeping giant. To be honest with you, I personally was more concerned about the Chicago Bears than I was anybody else in this division. Interesting.

Stealing his words there, huh, Ben Johnson? You know what we're going to find out? I was talking to a buddy of mine yesterday, one of the biggest Lions fans I know. He was telling me, he's like, we're going to find out either one of two things. Either Ben Johnson was the genius with all these plays or Dan Campbell was. Because next year we're going to have a totally new offensive coordinator. And this new offensive coordinator is going to come in here. And he's going to have to live up to all the fun stuff that we got a chance to see these Lions do over the last couple of years. and it's going to be really wild to see if Dan Campbell played a bigger role in it than we even knew.

You know what I found out yesterday? It was that Ben Johnson does not have good hair. I've never seen him without a hat and I've always thought he was so cute and then I saw his hair, I was like, don't think you're cute.

Isn't it funny? Some guys with hats are great looking and then there are some guys with hats that don't look great.

Looks like a totally different person. I always wear hats, right? So I remember I went around one of the Sherelle kids at the Pure Heart Foundation. The girl was like, you don't look the same. She was like, you want them pictures? She said I was a hat fish. Oh, wow. I was like, damn.

Oh, you did that. It's crazy. And lastly, if you fly Spirit Airlines, heads up on this one. Spirit just updated its in-flight policies with a brand new dress code that could leave some of its passengers grounded for wearing revealing clothing or displaying, quote-unquote, offensive tattoos. So Spirit passengers are now prohibited from wearing see-through outfits, exposing private parts, or displaying lewd, obscene, or offensive body art. They clarified that guests must agree to those terms when booking your tickets. So this is not going to be a surprise if you try to get on the aircraft and you're turned away. The policy comes after an incident back in October. It went viral where two women accused Spirit of sexism after being removed from a flight for wearing crop tops. So they're saying, hmm, anything like that anymore, you're not going to be able to board.

Well, there is confusion here because I don't think crop tops are inappropriate or lewd.

They're saying it's revealing.

That to me seems like loose terminology. Yeah, because see-through outfits isn't the same as a crop top to me. Correct. And then on top of that, they're going to put in the terms and conditions. Who reads the terms and conditions? So people are going to be surprised. And third, what are they defining as inappropriate body art?

You know what's inappropriate? Inappropriate is taking your shoes off on a plane. You're somebody that goes barefoot on a plane. You ever see those people that do that thing? Like, that's more inappropriate than somebody showing off their tats. And I agree with you, Megan. It's going to be all relative. I think the only inappropriate body art they're going to probably say is lewd comments and lewd things like that. That make people. There was people that had to get off planes. I saw some video of this. They were wearing political hats, like the people that were wearing those MAGA hats, where they were making some of those people get off of airplanes. And I'm thinking, man, now you're going towards freedom of speech. We can do that. Yeah.

Alan Lee, my major is drafting and design. In high school, I did it since my sophomore year, and I kind of wanted to continue it. It was the only thing I was good at. I didn't want to move to a four-year yet. I don't think I was mentally prepared. I found Bishop State. They had the program. I met a few people there. I ended up enrolling. The instructor, first day I met him, I told him about my background. He said, okay, great, you know about this. He built me straight to work. He didn't let me have any leeway. He pushed me to my limits. So I think that made me choose drafting design at Bishop State and stuck with it. But the sport's amazing. All my instructors just want to see me succeed. They want to push me to my limit. They want to see me be the best I can be. get a job, just be as successful as I can be. And I really appreciate all of them. With my degree, as of right now, my plan is to work for the city of Mobile with their urban planning department. And I've already got a job shadow before.
