My name is Patrick Pettway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The dirty on the 30 with Shannon. What's going on?

Okay. So this murder that happened in New York City yesterday, Brian Thompson, the CEO of the insurance giant UnitedHealthcare, shot and killed outside of the Hilton Midtown Hotel in what police are now calling a targeted attack.

Overnight, new video of what appears to be the man who shot and killed a top health insurance CEO in New York City before the attack, carrying what appears to be an e-bike battery possibly used in the getaway. Around 20 minutes later, police say the gunman was seen on surveillance video approaching UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, shooting the 50-year-old father of two multiple times before an investors conference. The gun jamming, but he clears the barrel and fires again before running through an alley, jumping on a bike and fleeing into Central Park.

From watching the video, it does seem that he's proficient in the use of firearms as he was able to clear the malfunctions pretty quickly.

Every indication is that this was a premeditated, pre-planned, targeted attack.

Sources now say bullet casings recovered at the scene have writing on them, including the words deny, defend, and depose, but police overnight not identifying a motive for the attack. Thompson's widow telling NBC he had received threats, but saying she doesn't know the details. UnitedHealth is the largest private health insurer in the U.S. and made headlines recently after a massive cyber attack and for its controversial plan to buy a rival home health provider. Among companies in the health insurance market, UnitedHealth ranks highest when it comes to the percentage of claims denied, nearly twice the industry average. The brazen attack raising questions as to why Thompson, the leader of such a large corporation, did not have a security team. In addition to the bullet casings, police say they've recovered a water bottle and candy wrapper near the scene and a cell phone. The question now, was it the suspect's phone or a burner phone?

It takes a while to develop forensics into a profile for DNA or fingerprint analysis. They already collected these things that are looking. The telephone is probably the easiest way to do it, and they're looking at that now, breaking it down. They believe all these things belong to the shooter. So he wasn't the professional that everybody thought he was.

Kev found this, and I thought this was very interesting. If you Google the words that were found on those bullet casings to pose deny and defend um a book comes up called delay deny defend why insurance companies don't pay claims and what you can do about it interesting right or interesting coincidence no i think that's i don't know planned it's

something out of a movie and somebody brought up was it john q john q yeah where it's like they wouldn't do but but they don't you know you didn't see uh denzel and john q go killing the the ceo of the thing but he did bring him in there right to take him hostage or whatever right

joked about stabbing kev right into a very serious murder story but i do have a question though and

Well, online sleuths are now looking at the photos of Britney's one-of-a-kind original jewelry. and they're like they are literally identical to those from other jewelry websites and i'm not just talking about the like the necklaces and the rings and stuff i'm talking even the photos are the same photo except she'll put her her logo on it drop shipping yeah so just a heads up if you want to buy anything it's like you could go to a plethora of different sites and buy the exact same thing

I think her perfume was so iconic that, like, that could be a successful business. I never had hers. I had J-Lo's. I never had Britney's. But, like, look at how many companies are doing cool team-ups. Like, we just had, what was it? Was it Balenciaga and Skim? No, it wasn't Balenciaga. But who did Kourtney Kardashian's wedding dress that they were fighting about? Was it Dolce & Gabbana? Yes. So Skims did, like, a Dolce & Gabbana collab, and, like, I think a lot of these, like, different big companies are now teaming up with each other. So I think to do, like, a Britney Spears and fill in the, like, perfume company.

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, But it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, put in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be the thing you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years, we're kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four-year.
