This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

Alan Lee, my major is drafting and design. In high school, I did it since my sophomore year, and I kind of wanted to continue it. It was the only thing I was good at. I didn't want to move to a four-year. I don't think I was mentally prepared. I found Bishop State. They had the program. I met a few people there. I ended up enrolling. The instructor, first I met him, I told him about my background. He said, okay, great, you know about this. He built me straight to work. He didn't let me have any leeway. He pushed me to my limits. So I think that made me choose drafting design at Bishop State and stuck with it. The sport's amazing. All my instructors just want to see me succeed. They want to push me to my limit. They want to see me be the best I can be, get a job, just be as successful as I can be. And I really appreciate all of them. With my degree, as of right now, my plan is to work for the city of Mobile with their urban planning department. And I've already got a job shadow before, and hopefully I will end the ship over the summer. If you choose Bishop, we're welcome to have you any day.

Fans on social media are speculating about the Obama's current marriage status in the wake of the former first lady not being a part of some big appearances as of late. The fact that the former president attended Jimmy Carter's funeral alone was, like, very strange to some people. Also, she is not going to attend the Trump inauguration on Monday. And her reasoning why is that she just doesn't want to fake it. The Internet, however, thinks there's trouble in paradise. Obama is a Mac daddy. Two interesting things about Justin Bieber's social media from yesterday. One, eagle-eyed fans noticed that he is no longer following Ariana Grande. which I want to know the story there because they were both clients of Scooter Braun at the same time. And I thought everything was cool between them, but fairly not.

And you said that he stopped following Scooter, right?

He stopped following, well, a long time. He stopped following Usher. Or Usher, yeah. But he did stop following Scooter. Yeah. And then he posts, the stuff he posts, and I'm a believer, by the way, so I'm saying this with love. Some of the stuff he posts is really, really strange to me. And yesterday he posted, I think, a teaser to some new music because we heard he is going to be dropping some new music this year. This is it. This is it.

Yeah. All right, Travis Kelsey's sharing that Taylor Swift is absolutely not pushing for him to retire from the Chiefs or from the NFL in general. He said he is not retiring anytime soon. Did a little chat yesterday with Stephen A.

He's fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game and she loves coming to Arrowhead and coming to the games and cheering for me. So I got all the support of the world to keep chasing these dreams. That's the beauty of being in a very strong relationship is that you get that support to be able to come in and focus on your craft, focus on being the best version of you. I'm as focused as I've ever been on my job and being the best player that I could possibly be week in, week out for this team. And, you know, it's because I don't have to worry about things off the field.

Hey, look, quick question. I know we're not counting the chickens before their hatch. Who do we want the Lions to play? The Chiefs. Because I want the Lions to play Baltimore. Why? I know a lot of people like Buffalo. They think that Buffalo, Detroit would be kind of cool because they're two cities that are all about grit. I think Baltimore, there's something about that team. You know what I mean?

Can I tell you why I want the Chiefs, though?

Why?

If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, they'll be the first team in NFL history to win three Super Bowls in a row. So they're trying to accomplish something that has never been done before. And arguably, because obviously they're a dynasty, they've won two. Some people say Patrick Mahomes is the greatest quarterback ever. say him and, what's his name, Kelsey, are the greatest tandem ever. How incredible would it be for arguably one of the worst teams in the history of the NFL, the Detroit Lions, who nobody wanted to be on, who thought were under the ground, is the team that stops them from making it. Okay, that'd be cool. That would be incredible. And we have a history of beating them. Come on, man. Wins are on our side. Yeah.

And that's the other thing, too. You know, we have them on our schedule next year, too. I wish it was home. I always think that the NFL knows already. It's all scripted. It's like the WWE. We already know.

I do kind of think that sometimes about all sports.

Oh, a lot of people do. A lot of people think that, especially with gambling in play, that it's all scripted and everybody already knows.

But then again, if it was, why wouldn't they have scripted this a long time ago?

Because it wasn't ready. They loved the fact that Tom Brady, good-looking Tom Brady was winning all these things.

By the way, speaking of the Lions, our upcoming game against Washington on Saturday night, be really, really careful if you are one of the lucky ones that stumbles upon a ticket or a pair of tickets to buy. This is Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.

They're saying this game, for some reason, has got a lot more of this going on, where people are buying tickets from sites that are not the most reputable places, and a lot of people just want to go to the game, and they're spending, yeah, and they say that this game's got a lot of fraud tickets that are being sold to it, more so than any of the other games so far this year.

We're talking about, like, this happens with concerts and stuff all the time. I mean, we're not talking about, like, $150 here. These tickets are very, very expensive.

Has anybody heard also about, they said that Dana Nessel is going to really watch out for the parking lots overcharging. Because that was a big deal, too, that a lot of people thought that the last Lions game that took place, what was it, on Sunday Night Football, that there were some parking lots that were charging more than what they can be charging. And so it'd be interesting to see if the city's out there kind of patrolling that.

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, people in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be the thing you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies, dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or any 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State, with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four-year.
