it was president's day i just feel it yesterday it was just quiet you know what that means today something crazy is gonna happen tomorrow this is this is how it works i know i do want to give you an update on a story that we've talked about multiple times over the past couple of months The woman who said that she was sexually assaulted by Diddy and Jay-Z back in 2000, she says she was just 13 years old at the time, has voluntarily withdrawn her lawsuit. So this is the lawsuit that was filed back in December by a Jane Doe who said this happened at a MTV VMA after party. And the lawsuit was withdrawn with prejudice, which just so you understand means she cannot file it again. Like she withdrew it. She's done. She can't revisit this. Now, there was no settlement here between this Jane Doe, Diddy and Jay-Z. Both artists have always denied all of the allegations since this lawsuit was first filed. And in response to all of this, Jay-Z has filed his own lawsuit against the attorney behind it, Tony Busby, accusing him of defamation, civil extortion and intentional infliction of emotional distress because of the case. And that piece is interesting to me because he says he's pissed that the lawsuit was strategically filed the night before Blue Ivy's movie premiere. And that resulted in 20 million dollars in lost business contracts and immense emotional distress with the lawsuit being part of a deliberate what he says smear campaign against him.
