Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:01:34 - 00:01:38 | Speaker 8:

Look at this. Trick Trick is going to be in studio with her, or is in studio.

00:01:38 - 00:01:51 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, he's in here right now. Look at that. I love it. Does he have his own key card here, and that's how he got in so fast? We need to get him up to the mic, though, so he can hear you. Trick him over here, man. I'm not talking to him yet. Oh, not yet. No, no, no.

00:01:51 - 00:01:58 | Speaker 8:

I got to do him after. We had a pre-show meeting about this. I mean, you brought him up there. You brought him up. We talked in the pre-show meeting about this, Lydia.

00:01:58 - 00:01:59 | Speaker 4:

You shouldn't have brought him up then.

00:01:59 - 00:02:02 | Speaker 8:

Lydia, protect the studio.

00:02:04 - 00:02:06 | Speaker 4:

When he's the one saying what he's saying?

00:02:06 - 00:02:07 | Speaker 8:

Protect the studio. Remember.

00:02:08 - 00:02:08 | Speaker 4:

That's crazy.

00:02:09 - 00:02:14 | Speaker 8:

We're going to talk about this after the show's over. We're going to have a long talk. What's going on in the dirty on the 30? What's going on?

00:02:14 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so we've had like a ton of celebrity deaths this morning. All of them just tragic and unexpected. Michelle Trachtenberg is one of them. You might know her from Buffy, maybe from Gossip Girl. You may know her from Harriet the Spy, the scene right here. I'm not going to cry. I'm not going to cry. Is that the Rosie O'Donnell movie? Yes, yes. She was only 39 years old. Found dead yesterday by her mom in her New York City apartment, who was the last person to see her, by the way, just hours earlier. She had a liver transplant towards the end of last year. And that transplant, I'm told, caused complications with her liver and her thyroid. And so the thought is that her body may have rejected the transplant, possibly leading to her death. And friends, neighbors, fans even say she was looking less and less like herself over the past couple of months. And she even told a friend at one point that death was a very probable possibility for her. This was one of the last interviews that she did. she was actually talking about the possibility of returning to her favorite role, which was Gossip Girl.

00:03:22 - 00:03:38 | Speaker 2:

We of course got to talk about Georgina Sparks. She's actually my favorite character that I've played because she's such an evil B-I-T-C-H that it was fun. Would you ever play her again? I'll give you my canned answer for you. Ready? I'll never tell. I'll never tell.

00:03:39 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 8:

You know what? I do appreciate, by the way, and I know it sounds weird to say this, but you talked about the death also, the Gene Hackman death. earlier this morning and it looks like that doesn't seem like there's wrongdoing there it looks like it possibly sad gas leak this one here liver transplant yeah i hate when celebrities die and then you hear that either they took their own life or they overdosed or something like that and so when i saw that her death happened yesterday i saw how young she was and

00:04:07 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 1:

right away you think death by suicide right exactly yeah and i it's sad that she uh had

00:04:14 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 8:

that complication possibly, you know, but man, it just makes me at least feel better for their

00:04:19 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 1:

family, you know, sad story. Tick tock going crazy yesterday amid these rumors that the 15 year old son of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, Mason Disick has a secret one year old daughter named Piper and the Kardashian Jenner family has been keeping her a secret. This all started on Reddit in a now deleted post and it was alleged that Mason had admitted to some friends via DM on his private Instagram that he had a one-year-old daughter and her name was Piper and he sees her from time to time and he called her a quote-unquote failed protection.

00:05:00 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 8:

so this just like was all over the place but then there are other people saying no this is like a page that pretends to be mason and just spreads a whole bunch of lies i don't know at this point obviously no comment from the kardashians i don't think he did it yet i think we would have heard about it before now see i disagree with you i think they they will this is a closely guarded secret they do not want anybody to find out about we wouldn't have found out

00:05:29 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 7:

that uh what's his face tristan thompson cheated like 24 hours before she gave birth like we knew when they were flying out to cleveland we knew when she was in labor we would have found out

00:05:40 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 8:

uh tate mccray on the tonight so last night confirming to jimmy fallon that it was her very hot pilates friend by the name of glenn powell who connected her with his co-star at the time sydney sweeney to collaborate on the song miss possessive so yeah if you've been wondering if the voice memo in the song is sydney this little part right here no seriously get your

00:06:05 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 1:

hands off my man that that actually is sydney sweeney yeah he connected us and then sydney was such a legend she just sent me like 10 versions of this little like voice memo thing and it was like three days before the release and she was like the absolute best for doing it so it was so

00:06:22 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 8:

cool shout out to the michigan state spartans this morning last night man they just stunned maryland with a buzzer beater from beyond half court

00:06:32 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 5:

No timeouts left for Maryland. They got to go. Gillespie for three. Goal or no. Holloman looks the clock. Half court for the win.

00:06:42 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh!

00:06:44 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my goodness.

00:06:46 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 8:

Holloman from half court to win it on the road. Trey Holloman. And I'm wearing my Detroit Piston sweatshirt for a very good reason this morning.

00:06:55 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 5:

Going for nine wins in a row tomorrow night. Talk about it. The energy was incredible. Winning seven straight was amazing, something we hadn't accomplished in over a decade. Winning eight straight, which completed yesterday, we had to defeat the defending champions in order to do that. Beat their ass by 20. Belt their ass. You know what time it is. K, most improved player. He needs to win that award for the NBA. Well-deserved. But back to your Michigan State story. One of the things. That's right. One of the things that the Spartans practice is half-court shots. during their pregame time. They practice half-court shots. And you see this because you're there. And I think Trey has made the last two. So this is one of those examples on full display preparation. He's been the star of the last two games, too. Wow.

00:07:43 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 8:

Lastly, big story.

00:07:44 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 5:

Real quick, you've got to play the clip.

00:07:45 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 8:

I didn't see the clip, so I'm sorry. That's why it wasn't in there.

00:07:49 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 6:

No, I got it. I told you I was going to play it here. Jalen Duren and the entire team talking about why this team is so good. This is up on their Instagram, the Pistons Instagram. This first part where Jalen's talking, to me is the sign of a winning team. And this is why I think this team is going to be so good.

00:08:04 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 4:

I got to go back to the growth, man. It's just, I feel like, you know, we're just growing as a team. And the chemistry is there. We all like each other. We all hang out outside of basketball, you know. But we're honestly like a group. And we care about each other. We got that really unselfish group who just want to win. And I think that's the reason why, you know, they played even before I got here. Played on a high level like that and how we're playing right now.

00:08:29 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 6:

That's the new point guard, what's his name? Dennis Schruer.

00:08:32 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 4:

We try to take our job personal every night,

00:08:35 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 3:

do what we have to do to come out with wins or be successful. You know, we still feel like we have to earn the league's respect, and we do still have to earn the league's respect. So every night you have to come with it. You have to play with that grit. You have to play with that sense of urgency.

00:08:51 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 6:

Isn't that the beauty of playing in Detroit? You get grit no matter what team you are, and that team has got some grit. What's going on, man? How many games can... Who do they play next?

00:09:02 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 5:

We play Denver, the Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokic, potential MVP.

00:09:06 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 6:

Will that end the streak?

00:09:08 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 5:

Hell no.

00:09:09 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 6:

We ain't losing. That's amazing.

00:09:12 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 8:

And lastly, a big story this morning. Michigan could join a growing number of states to ban cell phones in classrooms. Governor Gretchen Whitmer talking about it during her State of the State last night.

00:09:25 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 2:

I understand the need to be connected to your child, but we can do better. This year, let's pass bipartisan legislation to limit the use of phones in a class.

00:09:39 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 6:

That's going to be interesting. A lot of parents this morning are in favor of keeping the phones in the kids' hands, and the governor said that she'll come on the air with us tomorrow to explain her reasoning behind the stats that are out that show the states that are taking the phones and telling you that you can't have them. It's making your kids actually learn more. So...
