Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:01:19 - 00:01:36 | Speaker 4:

Shannon, we have breaking dirty news here right now. We do. Yes, the Army is here to sign Megan up. I don't know. No, the Salvation Army is presenting our very own Megan Mick with a very nice award.

00:01:36 - 00:01:37 | Speaker 6:

It's a major award.

00:01:38 - 00:02:05 | Speaker 4:

In studio with us right now is Major Hall from the Salvation Army, which, by the way, you see those red kettles? You better not be cheap, Kevin. Jingle, jingle. When's the last time you put a quarter in there, right? I put more than a quarter. You know what? That was a trick question. I'm a baller. I put a dollar. A whole dollar. I carry now, at this time of the year, I carry dollars in my car because I was like handing out 20s like they were dollars. I was like, man, this is getting expensive. But no offense, Major.

00:02:07 - 00:02:12 | Speaker 6:

Well, I wanted 20s the day that I was out ringing bells because we were matching it. So every $20 turned into $100.

00:02:13 - 00:02:18 | Speaker 4:

Wow. Yeah. Major Hall, what's going on with Megan? What's the story?

00:02:18 - 00:02:28 | Speaker 5:

So, I know no offense to anyone else here in this room, but this is all about Megan right now. Yeah. So, Megan has won our Celebrity Bell Ringer third place award. What?

00:02:29 - 00:02:29 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:02:30 - 00:02:39 | Speaker 5:

I'm Megan. I'm Megan. So, Megan raised for us $1,265. Thank you. That is amazing. Wait, wait. Wait.

00:02:39 - 00:02:42 | Speaker 4:

Who was second and first? I didn't know there was a contest.

00:02:42 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 5:

You know, those are coming out later today. Come on. Oh, good. Are they in this building? No, they're not, but they do live in a house, and they like to scream.

00:02:55 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 4:

They live in a house, and they like to scream.

00:02:57 - 00:02:58 | Speaker 5:

So there's my hints for you.

00:02:58 - 00:03:00 | Speaker 4:

They live in a house, and they like to scream. I'll tell you who it is.

00:03:00 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 6:

Because I actually need to slash some tires later. I think it's not a press release.

00:03:04 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 4:

Wait, did you get beat out by any of the radio people, though? Honestly. You did?

00:03:09 - 00:03:09 | Speaker 5:

Maybe.

00:03:10 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 4:

Something's house? Mason's house? Who is it? What is it? Who is it?

00:03:13 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 5:

Big Jim.

00:03:14 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 4:

Big Jim.

00:03:14 - 00:03:19 | Speaker 5:

Big Jim's house. Oh, Big Jim. We love Big Jim. Big Jim's a good guy.

00:03:20 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 4:

Big Jim is one of those guys that, you know what, he always has given back, and he's a good dude. I like him. And you know what? He is a good friend of the show. We talk and text. Who's number two, though?

00:03:31 - 00:03:32 | Speaker 5:

So number two was Screamin' Scott.

00:03:33 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 4:

Screamin' Scott. I don't know him. I don't know Screamin' Scott.

00:03:36 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 5:

He's from WCSS.

00:03:38 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 4:

WCSS. Screamin' Scott.

00:03:40 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 5:

Screamin' Scott. I'll meet him today, I think, for my first time. All right. Well, that's nice of those guys. That's good. Hopefully he doesn't scream at me. I can't take it.

00:03:48 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 4:

As long as it's not Blaine Fowler. Blaine Fowler would rub it in. He would tell me that we beat us. I don't like that.

00:03:53 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 3:

It was all over social media.

00:03:54 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 4:

I love him, too, but you know what? Actually, it's funny. There's probably nobody in radio that I would be upset with ever beating us, except for in the ratings. You know what I mean?

00:04:05 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 6:

Exactly. I mean, this helped out our community. You can't be mad. Absolutely. That's nice. We're so thankful. Love it.

00:04:12 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 4:

Congratulations. Next time, give Megan a better spot, though. You put her out at Bush's in West Bloomfield. Give her a mall. Give her a summer set collection.

00:04:20 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 5:

Maybe give you a better spot.

00:04:22 - 00:04:26 | Speaker 4:

I bet you Big Jim was probably. We're friends now. Was Big Jim at a high-traffic Target or something? What's the story?

00:04:26 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 6:

If he was at a Target, I'm going to be so mad. Yeah, that's not fair. Now I'm slashing more than one tire each.

00:04:31 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 5:

I think Big Jim had a virtual kettle.

00:04:33 - 00:04:36 | Speaker 4:

Oh, he had a virtual? Oh, yeah. Cheater, cheater.

00:04:36 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 5:

A lot of his money came in through his virtual kettle. I was going to say, the majority of my money came in through my virtual kettle. Yeah.

00:04:42 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 4:

Well, if I knew you virtually could have done it. Otherwise, you know, it's like that parking lot's a crazy parking lot. That honey bag store is like crazy, too.

00:04:51 - 00:04:52 | Speaker 6:

So that's great.

00:04:52 - 00:04:52 | Speaker 4:

All right.

00:04:53 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

A great time. Thank you. Thank you for having me do it. Thank you. We appreciate all of your support, especially at this time of year when we're trying to raise our seven million dollars.

00:05:00 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 1:

goal. Wow. How are we doing? We're about 46%. Okay. We got, come on. We have less than a week, but we got to do it. Right. And we're in what we're calling the consortium of hope season. So every dollar is matched for a dollar up to 500,000 through the end of the year. And people

00:05:14 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 3:

don't understand like Salvation Army is legit. Like they, they do really amazing work, making sure that they take care of the community. This is the time of the year where we need it. Last hour we had literally a woman living in her car with her family. And there are many people that come to the Salvation Army for help like that.

00:05:32 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, unfortunately, that's not a unique situation. No.

00:05:35 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 3:

Major Hall from the Salvation Army, you're going to witness Shannon do the Dirty on the 30. Shannon, she may be, Major Hall may actually be a correspondent for you. Maybe she's met any of these people. What do you got?

00:05:46 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so we're starting off with a little Taylor Swift story. It could be a big Taylor Swift story if it's true. She is now sparking rumors that she's engaged to Travis Kelsey after Swifties noticed a detail in some photos from her recent eras tour themed 35th birthday party which there were a whole bunch of people there including britney mahomes wife of of course patrick mahomes but there were a few photos that i saw that showed taylor all cozied up with her girlfriend sipping on a cocktail and after closely examining the photos one swifty pointed out to all of the others that taylor's left ring finger looked a little blurred and that sparked this wild theory that And Taylor may have purposely edited out, like, photoshopped an engagement ring as not to reveal the news yet that Travis had already popped the question. Wow. I don't see the blur, but, I mean, Photoshop is magical, so.

00:06:40 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 3:

But you know what, though? Taylor's fans are nuts enough to figure something out beforehand.

00:06:43 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 2:

I wouldn't even say nuts. I give them props. Some of this stuff is kind of incredible.

00:06:47 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 3:

They're like private investigators. If we have any Swifties that can help us out with that last war of the roses, please.

00:06:52 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 2:

After the youth welfare bill that she advocated for passed in Congress, Paris Hilton now says she is not ruling out running for public office. She said she's seeing that her voice can really make a difference and that she can really shine a spotlight on things that are important around the world to make it a better place and most importantly, safer for kids. The hotel heiress and mom of two said that whether or not she trades Hollywood for the political world, she's not sure yet. But her visits to Washington about this particular subject are not going to stop.

00:07:23 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 3:

Her performance at the Jingle Ball, they showed it last night on ABC. And I know you're going to do that later in the thing. Yeah. She was really good.

00:07:30 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I had a lot of people say that to me, too.

00:07:32 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 3:

I, to be quite honest with you, was like, Paris. I mean, she was amazing. She was really good.

00:07:38 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 2:

The Charlotte Hornets are facing some backlash after an in-game promotion skit in which a lucky teenager got a PlayStation 5 went horribly wrong when they forced this poor kid to give it back. It all happened during the Hornets 76ers game. There was this little 13-year-old. His name was Jack. He was invited out onto the court to get a Christmas gift from Hugo, the Hornets mascot.

00:08:03 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 1:

I have another chair here that says, Dear Santa Hugo, I have been working hard in school all year and making sure my brains are full of brains. I have also been working on my jump shot, but my jump shot into came in support.

00:08:17 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 3:

So do they tell the crowd they're taking it back or they don't tell you until the end?

00:08:21 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 2:

No, they award it in front of the crowd, as you're hearing right now. Everybody's cheering.

00:08:26 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 3:

Why would they do that to this kid? That's horrible.

00:08:30 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 2:

I guess they said when they went back that you don't get to keep what you got and we're trading it out for a jersey. That was just for like a presentation. It was a skit is what they said. Well, the next day, after getting just slammed on social media, the Hornets apologized. They said what they did, missed the mark. Reps for the team have reached out to Jack's family and said they are committed to not only making it right, but to exceeding his expectations. They're giving him the PS5. They're also giving him a VIP experience to a future game.

00:09:00 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 3:

I would sue him and I'd take him to court. I'd make it more. I want to own the PlayStation company now. That's nuts.

00:09:07 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, you were just talking about our iHeartRadio Jingle Balls. Jingle Balls, lots of balls. One that went down in New York, the other in L.A. You can watch them both now. They are streaming together in one special on Hulu. And when I say everybody was there, I mean, pretty much everybody was there. Meghan Trainor.

00:09:28 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 1:

Well, it must be illegal. It must be illegal.

00:09:32 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 2:

So call us. Nathan Boone, Teddy Swims, Gracie Abrams, love her. I like clothes, I like clothes, clothes, clothes, just me. Terry Cray was hanging out, 21 Pilots. Did the good old days, when the mama sang. SZA, Madison Beer, Jack Harlow, and Katy Perry opened the show.
