This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:01:07 - 00:01:52 | Speaker 1:

My name is Natarika Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently, even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.

Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30s.

00:02:03 - 00:02:06 | Speaker 3:

It's not like we were saying it wrong for like three months. Wasn't it 1-0?

00:02:06 - 00:02:11 | Speaker 6:

Not even 1-0. It's 1-0. It's 1-0. He told me right before we went on stage.

00:02:11 - 00:02:13 | Speaker 8:

I'm like, I can't commit this to memory right now.

00:02:14 - 00:02:27 | Speaker 3:

We've been conditioned. All right. The University of North Carolina making a big announcement last night that I don't think surprised too many people. We kind of saw it coming. They have hired Bill Belichick to be their next football coach.

00:02:28 - 00:02:28 | Speaker 8:

Yeah.

00:02:29 - 00:02:30 | Speaker 3:

Did I not give you anything?

00:02:30 - 00:02:32 | Speaker 8:

You did not, but that's okay. I got Adam Schefter.

00:02:33 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 4:

I'm so sorry. Bill Belichick is finalizing a deal to become that next head coach at North Carolina. He now will be affectionately known as Chapel Bill. He is leaving the NFL where he was victories away from becoming the...

00:02:48 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 8:

Do you know why they call him Chapel Bill? because it's Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where North Carolina is.

00:02:54 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's a good job too.

00:02:55 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 8:

So now they're going to actually call it Chapel Bill. I like that.

00:02:58 - 00:03:09 | Speaker 3:

All right, all right. This will be the very first college job for Belotech. His dad, Steve, I guess, was a Tar Heels assistant coach back in the 1950s. Don't have any financial terms. You said you heard a rumor.

00:03:09 - 00:03:51 | Speaker 8:

I know it's a five-year deal, but it's almost like a bajillion million dollars. I think it will be the biggest one in sports. I wonder if we're going to start seeing this happen more now that there's the NIL stuff going on in college sports. I wonder if we'll start seeing these guys who were great. I don't think it will happen in basketball because I think basketball is a different thing. But I think the football, you might see a lot of these football-minded guys. Like maybe Ben Johnson doesn't go to the NFL or stay in the NFL. Maybe he goes to a college team. I'm still unsure of why he's not an NFL head coach. Well, he chose not to. So it was his choice. He turned down Washington Commanders at the last minute to come back here because I think he might be the highest paid.

00:03:51 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 2:

I'm talking about Bill Belichick.

00:03:52 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 8:

Oh, Bill Belichick?

00:03:53 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.

00:03:54 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 8:

Oh, I thought you were talking about Ben Johnson. No. No, I'm surprised by that, too. I thought that he should wait it out and take it on as some kind of good team, you know?

00:04:02 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 3:

In Other Football Dirty, the NFL is back in Jay-Z and moving forward with that partnership amid the lawsuit that was filed a couple of days ago claiming that Jay-Z raped a 13-year-old girl along with Diddy during a press conference that was held yesterday ahead of the Christmas Day games on Netflix. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was asked about the league's association with Jay-Z and he said, we are changing nothing. Specifically, he said, they are aware of the civil allegations, they are aware that litigation is taking place, but the relationship is not changing. And that includes preparations to produce the next Super Bowl halftime show featuring Kendrick Lamar.

00:04:39 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 6:

Is anybody performing on Christmas Day?

00:04:43 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 3:

Beyonce.

00:04:44 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 6:

Okay, that makes sense because I saw she had posted that she's got something dropping on Netflix on Christmas Day as well. So I'm sure they'll drop it right after the game. Cowboy Christmas. For the performance.

00:04:55 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 3:

You guys have heard about this drone story that's happening over on the East Coast.

00:05:00 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 7:

like dozens and dozens of drones being spotted in the sky, specifically across New Jersey, prompting some pretty heightened security concerns and mounting frustrations from residents, military personnel and federal, state and local officials. While New Jersey's governor says is saying, excuse me, that there's no threat to public safety here. Others are going, well, then where are these drones coming from? This is the deputy press secretary of the Pentagon. Her name is Sabrina Singh speaking about this.

00:05:37 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 6:

At this time, we have no evidence that these activities are coming from a foreign entity or the work of an adversary. We're going to continue to monitor what is happening. But, you know, at no point were our installations threatened. They're over like very interesting areas.

00:05:54 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 7:

And that's part of the problem.

00:05:55 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 3:

Well, they're saying that they're flying it over areas that they believe, like they think there's some military, you know, property and stuff. But then they also said it's Trump's country club that's up in that area. But the interesting thing is one of the Congress people from New Jersey is saying that he believes that these things originated from a ship that is off the coast that is an Iranian ship. And they think that this could be terrorist related. Remember when they said the balloons that were flying in the sky was nothing? And it turned out they were Chinese spy balloons? Yeah. So, I don't know. To me, I don't understand why. If somebody's got these drones flying around, you don't know who it's from. Shoot them down.

00:06:37 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 7:

That's what I don't get either. Seriously.

00:06:39 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 8:

Well, there's people around, right?

00:06:41 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 3:

Well, shoot them down before they drop something on those people. I think that there's ways that we can get rid of them.

00:06:47 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 7:

In other political dirty, FBI Director Christopher Wray saying yesterday he plans to resign at the end of President Biden's term in January.

00:06:55 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 1:

After weeks of careful thought, I've decided the right thing for the Bureau is for me to serve until the end of the current administration in January and then step down.

00:07:07 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 7:

A brand new Yellowstone spinoff is in the works, focusing on the characters of Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler. And Kelly Riley and Cole Hauser have both signed deals already. So they are already on board. Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan is working on creative for this spinoff. And he says other cast members from Yellowstone are likely to return as well. This series will be the first Yellowstone spinoff to actually take place in the present day. And it is Thursday, which means you're masked singer.

00:07:39 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 3:

Let's go.

00:07:40 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 7:

Shut up. you get so mad about the mask thing

00:07:44 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 3:

I just think it's a dumb show but go ahead let's find out who the non-actor celebrity is

00:07:51 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 7:

so we heard from the strawberry shortcake who has a very good voice

00:07:55 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 4:

give us a hint to what kind of

00:08:05 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 3:

work makes a celebrity

00:08:08 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 7:

she was a singer and I believe on a Disney show, if I'm not mistaken.

00:08:13 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 8:

She sounds great.

00:08:15 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 7:

Is it the red-headed girl? No. It's AJ from Ally and AJ.

00:08:21 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 8:

I love her. I knew you would. I just had for you. Shut up. Excited too, Kat. Remember when they released that song as an adult version? Guys, it's so bad. It's great.

00:08:31 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 7:

You know, that's the only reason I play this now is because it makes you two so mad.

00:08:34 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 8:

I'm not mad. I just don't know AJ.

00:08:36 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 7:

All right.

00:08:37 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 8:

Yes, you do. Yes, you do. You do. They had a great song. They re-released it as adults. It was an adult version of it. It was that birthday song. Am I right? Allie and AJ was on the Disney Channel, or am I making that up in my head? They had that movie, Cowbells. It was a Disney Channel original movie.
