LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. Low Joy in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

All right, what's going on, Shannon, the Dirty on the 30?

All right, so there were a ton. I thought the Grammy Awards, I said this earlier in the show, but I'll say it again. I thought it was one of the best award shows I've watched in a really, really long time. I just thought it was very entertaining, very well produced. Lots of standout performances. Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims, Benson Boone. Flipping all over the place. Chapel Roan doing Pink Pony Club on top of that big pink pony. The clowns freaked me.

Not even the clowns. My favorite part about Chapel Roan throughout the night was everybody was asking her what she was going to perform. And Gayle King did. And she said, I'll give you a hint. There's an animal in it. And Gayle did not know what song it was going to be.

She also took home the trophy in the toughest category of the night. It was just stacked. Best new artist.

I told myself if I ever won a Grammy and I got to stand up here in front of the most powerful people in music, I would demand that labels and the industry profiting millions of dollars off of artists would offer a livable wage and health care, especially to developing artists.

And I want to mention this while we're talking about Beyonce. She also did announce her Cowboy Carter tour on Instagram over the weekend. No Detroit date on there yet, but fingers crossed.

By the way, I mentioned this earlier this morning, and it is true. It didn't trend. Everybody thought it was going to trend. It did not trend on Saturday night. Her tour. Because of the trade that the Mavs and the Lakers pulled off.

Yeah, and if you did not hear about that, I mean, Kev, you said that this could quite possibly be the biggest trade ever in NBA history. The Lakers sent Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a first-round draft pick to the Mavs in exchange for Luka Doncic, Max Kleber, and Markeith Morris. in a three-year deal that also includes the Utah Jazz, and this, like, came out of nowhere. Mavs GM Nico Harrison talking about it.

I don't do anything that's scary. I think everything that we do, we put a lot of work into it. We study it, and we restudy it, and we go back, and I understand the magnitude of it. So the easiest thing for me to do is do nothing, and everyone would praise me for doing nothing. But we really believe in it, and time will tell if I'm right.

Going back to the Grammys last night, the grammys even poked fun at like how this just came out of nowhere during the break uh i don't

know how to say this trevor noah was traded to the dallas mavericks so i know this is a shock but

i am now your host that guy by the way that gm from dallas is either going to look like a freaking genius if luka donchich you know continues to be like 300 pounds or whatever because he's gained a bunch of weight and, you know, he's been injured and stuff. If he's like nothing, or he's going to be the biggest goat in the world, this is going to be like the Babe Ruth trade from back in the day, you know, that ended up the curse of the Bambino for the Mavs. I don't know.

And so it was like somebody in her business team that told her it would probably be smart to take it down. And lastly, Jelly Roll will be making his acting debut on that CBS show Fire Country in a couple of months. Have any of you guys ever seen that show?

I only watched one show, and that's Blue Bloods with Scott Mick.

He's going to portray a hospital orderly named Noah. His episode airs April 11th, if you will.

Hey, you know what else is happening April 11th? Oh, I know it's somebody's birthday. Yeah, Jelly Roo. Does your dad still watch Blue Bloods? No? No, I don't think so. That's such a good show. Is it? He's got a girlfriend now. Is he? You know what? Now that your dad's getting a little fun with a girl. Yeah, they're binging the bachelor together. He's not watching the TV shows anymore.

My name is Patrick Pettway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. For me to be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State pay for all of my tuition, not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website. Like I said, I'm a 40-year-old man, so I don't use technology too much, but it was very understandable where I needed to go. It was extremely fast.
