I'm Mungesha Tikalur and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, curmudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.

00:01:36 - 00:01:41 | Speaker 1:

I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know.

00:01:51 - 00:01:55 | Speaker 4:

All right, we'll get you caught up on what's trending this morning in the Dirty Eye in the 30s. Shannon, what you got?

00:01:55 - 00:02:09 | Speaker 2:

Well, this University of Pittsburgh student who disappeared while walking on the beach in the Dominican Republic for spring break is believed to have drowned. And I believe we have a news story about her.

00:02:10 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 5:

Tonight, the desperate search for a college student on spring break missing in the Dominican Republic. A helicopter flying above the water of Punta Cana searching for Sudik Shah Kunanki. seen here on this missing poster. Search and rescue teams starting today before sunrise. Dive teams joining the search. Dominican officials say the 20-year-old University of Pittsburgh student was last seen on surveillance camera Thursday just before 5 in the morning. It's not clear if she was alone or with other people. Konanki is an Indian citizen living in Virginia outside Washington, D.C. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office in Virginia says she was traveling with five other women, all students at pit, including her best friend from high school. Investigators say the women are believed to have been staying at the same hotel in Punta Cana, the Hotel Rio Republica, according to the Dominican Foreign Ministry. All six women were scheduled to return on Friday. The five friends are still in the Dominican Republic. A major question for investigators, who was last with her? The U.S. State Department has issued a travel advisory for the Dominican Republic, level two out of four asking americans to use increased caution saying violent crime including armed robbery homicide and sexual assault is a concern and lindsay we're just getting late word from investigators in the dominican republic we're being told they believe she may have drowned we're being told that she was on the beach with a group of people some of them left she stayed and went

00:03:34 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 2:

swimming with somebody they are still searching yeah so she she was there with five friends four of them went back to their hotel leaving her and and one other um man just could you imagine

00:03:48 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 4:

i couldn't and my son was just there and i told you all week i was had anxiety about him being there i uh i think that if you're gonna spring break you spring break in our country and i'm gonna say this if god forbid something like that happen we have use of the u.s coast guard the u.s coast guard could be on alert doing it you don't have the craziness of these hotel workers that potentially are trying to take advantage of these uh you know college and high school kids that are

00:04:17 - 00:04:26 | Speaker 2:

spring breaking there and which doesn't seem like it's the situation or the case here but that we've heard that happening we don't know and time again and you're right i mean they're just presuming she

00:04:26 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 4:

drowned at this point but and the people that are friends of hers those girls that are friends of hers do not if they meet boys or they meet you know girls and do not let your friends wander off and do not go swimming in even the water the ocean i wouldn't swim in that ocean i'm going to tell you something that we went to punta cana years and years ago they they said that some of the the riptides were some of the worst riptides that are right off of that water i'd be in a swim you get in stay in your swimming pool you hang out during the day you go to dinner at night you eat at you know a restaurant you go out and party or whatever like luke said he did a booze cruise We'll be right back.

00:05:00 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 6:

And these kids are on these booze cruises with a bunch of college kids from all over the place. The workers on the on the thing are walking around offering you, you know, drugs and things like that.

00:05:09 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 2:

It's crazy. No way. So scary.

00:05:12 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 5:

God, two back to back sad stories. But I do have an update on the death of actor Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy. They died of natural causes a week apart. I mean, this is just a crazy story. So the state medical examiner's office said Betsy died first, probably around February 11th of a rare viral infection. It's called a hantavirus pulmonary syndrome. It's spread through an infection by rodents. Okay. Gene, they say probably died around February 18th, so a full week later, which is when the last activity on his pacemaker was recorded. Their bodies found in separate rooms in their private home in Santa Fe. The chief medical investigator also noted that Gene Hackman may have not even been aware that his wife had passed away because he showed evidence of advanced Alzheimer's disease. Kanye West, some people not happy with him. Again, yesterday morning, he posted a photo of, well, it definitely looked to me like a KKK robe, captioned, Outfit of the Day. Hours later, he posted a screen grab of a text exchange that he had with his former choir master, Jason White, announcing the return of his Sunday service sessions. That's happening on March 16th, this coming Sunday.

00:06:26 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 6:

He tries to out-shock everything all the time, doesn't he, and does these things? At some point, I'm surprised that the social media accounts don't just take his stuff down for the things he does.

00:06:36 - 00:06:37 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:06:37 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 6:

I don't think you can, though. You can't? They did it during the elections. The Instagram, they took down the outfit of the day that Shannon's talking about. But, like, disband his account, I don't know if you can do that.

00:06:48 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 5:

They're all privately owned.

00:06:49 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 6:

They did it to Trump when he was running for office because they didn't like the stuff he was doing. I thought that was Elon's whole thing, though.

00:06:55 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 2:

But Elon bought Twitter to give it back to him.

00:06:58 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 6:

But what about Facebook and Instagram? He doesn't own those. They did all that stuff. I just think that Kanye's just unraveled. Crazy. It's not good.

00:07:08 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 5:

And I teased this during the 5 at 6.55. It is true. It's not just a rumor. Prince, or no, King, sorry, Charles. King Charles is now a DJ over on Apple Music. He released his own personal playlist on Apple Music to mark Commonwealth Day, which is today.

00:07:26 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 2:

Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me. It has that remarkable ability to bring happy memories, comfort us in times of sadness. That's fake, isn't it? And to take us to distant places.

00:07:42 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 6:

Is that John Lithgow? Doesn't it? It sounds like fake.

00:07:46 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 5:

On his playlist, in case you are curious, Bob Marley, Grace Jones, and he's a Kylie Minogue fan as well.

00:07:53 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 6:

Kylie Minogue? Who is this list again?

00:07:57 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 5:

Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue No, I went away from my page. I don't know who the other person

00:08:04 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 6:

was. Huh, interesting

00:08:06 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 5:

Also, sure

00:08:07 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 6:

Megan Thee Stallion was on there too

00:08:09 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 5:

For all of today's dirty search Mojo in the morning in the free iHeartRadio app

00:08:15 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 6:

What would you do if Prince Charles they did like videos of him dancing like in his underwear I think honestly

00:08:24 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 5:

Like Hugh Grant did in love, actually.

00:08:26 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 6:

But it would get bajillions of views, don't you think? That guy, if he wants to redo his image.

00:08:36 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 2:

Sure.

00:08:37 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. There you go.

00:08:39 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 2:

Still Team Diana.

00:08:42 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 6:
