It's Mojo on the Morning Show. So the next topic that Shannon's going to bring up here right now, I want to make sure that we get some people lined up for this. Is there anyone listening who is serving divorce papers this Christmas?

00:03:04 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 2:

So I met somebody in line. Are you guys like standing in a massive amount of lines right now? I feel like. I was in the Abercrombie line for literally 35 minutes. So this was not Abercrombie. This was actually not even at the mall. But anyway, I started talking to the person behind me, and he mentioned to me that amid all of the craziness and what we were shopping for, he hated the Christmas season. And when I asked him why, he said it was because his ex-wife and the mother of his two kids served him with divorce papers two years ago on Christmas Eve. Damn.

00:03:36 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 4:

You can't do that.

00:03:38 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 2:

On Christmas Eve. And he said it's just, it's been tough ever since then. Last year was terrible. And he's like, this year, I'm not feeling it either. It's hard to do it for the kids. You know, you suck it up for the kids, which obviously we were talking about that. But I thought, that is rotten. Yeah. That is rotten. Why? Because for a very long time, he's going to have that yuck feeling on Christmas Eve. You just don't forget that.

00:04:01 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 4:

I don't know anything about the serving divorce papers, but do you have control over when they can get them or can't get them?

00:04:06 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 2:

So when I got divorced, there were no papers served. Like, we just, you know, did everything pretty amicably. But I'm fairly certain, please correct me if I'm wrong, that you know the general vicinity of time that they're going to be served. You may not know the exact, but...

00:04:21 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 4:

Why would you not wait until after the Christmas season? That's exactly what I mean. The Christmas season. That's great.

00:04:25 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 2:

Like, I'm pretty sure you can control at least that.

00:04:27 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Anybody have weird feelings around this time of the year because that has happened to them? Or is there anybody, and I don't know if you're willing to share this with us, that is serving divorce papers now? Like you've already talked to an attorney and you know that they're going to be happening at any moment. I think anything leading up to it, like I think you're cut off is Thanksgiving week. If you ask for a divorce Thanksgiving week till at least the 6th of January until the world comes back from their holidays, you can't do it. I think it should be closed.

00:05:00 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 3:

Matter of fact, I'm going to put a proclamation in place. And Michigan and Ohio are two listening states. You cannot do this at all. The courts have to shut down. Right?

00:05:10 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I think January 6th would be the perfect day. Holy Christ. But it does seem intentional. It seems like I want you to feel this. Oh, 100%. Look at these text messages.

00:05:20 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 3:

All these people that have had this happen to them. All right. That's spitting. Lydia, call these people. Lydia's going to call you guys that have texted in to us. Pick up your phone. That's nuts. And then what would be worse? What would be worse? Getting divorce papers on Christmas or getting divorce papers on your birthday or your child's birthday? What is worse with that one? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. What's up, Craig? How you doing? Hey, how's it going? Good, man. What's happening with you?

00:05:55 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 1:

so i was just gonna say i mean if you know you're getting divorced i don't really think a holiday matters when it's happening but i don't think a holiday matters either way if you don't know you're getting divorced because whenever you're served those papers and you think

00:06:10 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 3:

everything is good you know yeah there was a quick quick question for you have you been through a divorce have you been through being served a couple a couple oh my god all right it's time for you to stop no more so when were you served uh well we in both of the cases i knew

00:06:28 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 1:

it was gonna happen yeah so it was it was kind of just like a mutual thing oh geez okay um i've been i was married for eight years the first time and eight years the second time and i just uh recently married again like but i wouldn't i've been with her for four and a half

00:06:43 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

years what do you think you think this one's gonna last uh i hope so yeah we'll know in four years it's a four-year plan uh all right uh texters here i don't want to go on the air and speak because it's too hard for me without crying this is from uh 419 says that they were served four christmases ago and it was the worst time of their life because it was just during the covid time too oh that's awful um what's up britney how you doing it's mojo in the morning what's going on good morning good morning what's going on with you

00:07:19 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 4:

oh same old same old yeah first time down time by the way

00:07:24 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 3:

this is uh britney britney's on the phone britney were you served papers or did you do the servant i served them and when did you

00:07:38 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 4:

serve him on our eighth anniversary because he was really rotten and then like two days before my lawyer said well we're gonna serve him today and i said could you hold off and do it in two days because it's our anniversary and she said absolutely oh my god you can pick the exact day that was one of my questions well they have to be served like by someone that serves them so

00:08:04 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 5:

No, that's what I know, but you could say, not today. I want you to do it on Tuesday.

00:08:10 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 4:

Well, he was really nasty to my lawyer, too, so she had no problem with it.

00:08:15 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 3:

Just a nasty guy? Like, when you say nasty, I mean, if he was abusive, yeah, serve him, you know, at any time. But was he just, like, kind of a mean guy because he was struggling through what was going on?

00:08:29 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 4:

No, he's just arrogant, cheater.

00:08:32 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

00:08:32 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 4:

It's kind of a whole package of crap bags. All right.

00:08:36 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 3:

Well, here you go, crap bag. Happy anniversary.

00:08:42 - 00:08:47 | Speaker 4:

I did get revenge in the end. Yeah, I did ask him what he got me for the anniversary, too. I got called a not very nice word.

00:08:48 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 3:

Oh, jeez.

00:08:49 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 4:

But at the end of the divorce, I was so happy it was finally over because he drug it out really bad.

00:08:54 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:08:55 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 4:

So I wrote, just divorce, ding dong, the dick is gone on my back window. And it wouldn't come off. Oh, I stayed.

00:09:04 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 3:

You had to trade that car in. There's some guy driving around right now with ding-dong and the dick is gone. What's up, Kim? How you doing?

00:09:13 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 5:

Good. How are you this morning?

00:09:14 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 3:

We're doing great. We're talking about serving divorce papers as a Christmas blessing here. What's up?

00:09:21 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 5:

I filed for divorce two years ago, and I wish I would have, but my lawyer was out of town. um served him on his birthday which was also thanksgiving oh wow eat this he's not a good person he is a severe narcissist um controlling i wanted to have the last straw

00:09:47 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 3:

and uh serve him wow that's amazing a lot of women serving their men that are calling us up here uh what's up kay how you doing some guys calling good morning what's going on

00:10:00 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 4:

So it wasn't for Christmas, but our final court date to, like, finalize everything after the six months was scheduled for my birthday.

00:10:17 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's a birthday present, huh?

00:10:20 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 4:

Now, I'm the one that's filing, so everything has to go on my terms. So, no, we had to change that. I didn't want to remember this day on my birthday every year for my life.

00:10:30 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 1:

So, yeah, it was wild. That's amazing. You know, at some point, it's like you think, God, you guys at one point were in love with each other. Now you guys are going through just hard times. Jennifer, are you there?

00:10:44 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 2:

Yes, I'm here.

00:10:45 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 1:

Jennifer's was her dad. Your dad served your mom. Tell everybody where your dad served your mom the divorce papers.

00:10:51 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 2:

um we were actually um i was 14 at the time and um we were getting ready um for my grandpa's funeral my mom's dad had passed away and it was the first day of the of the funeral like showing and um there was a carrier that came and came for divorce papers okay that trumps christmas to me that's awful as a daughter you do have a choice as a daughter could you could you ever look at

00:11:17 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 1:

him again with respect knowing he did that to your mom no that's tough especially because then

00:11:25 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 2:

i went through a divorce about six years ago and i had a choice like i had a choice to either serve him myself um had someone do it like when i could do it where if i wanted to be done served him at work at home wherever so you do have what did you choose i chose to serve him myself okay that's

00:11:44 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 1:

You know what? That's respectful. Yeah. If you got the strength to be able to do it. Are you doing good?

00:11:49 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. I'm doing better. But, I mean, that was a long time ago when my dad, yeah, served my mom. But it was an awful experience to stand there and watch your mom be served divorce papers. I was old enough to know.

00:12:01 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 1:

At grandpa's funeral. Hold on. Jess wants to be voice disguised. Hey, Jess, what's going on? Hello. Are you there, Jess?

00:12:10 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:12:11 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 1:

We're voice disguising you. What's going on?

00:12:14 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 3:

So, my ex-co-worker served her husband's divorce payers on Father's Day.

00:12:25 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no.

00:12:26 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 3:

This year. Wow. Y'all gotta relax.

00:12:29 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 1:

How many kids do they have together?

00:12:33 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 3:

Two or three.

00:12:35 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 1:

Was he with his kids at the time? Because if that was the case, that's really bad.

00:12:40 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 3:

i i don't know the whole story but i'm gonna guess though honestly that's brutal

00:12:46 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 1:

that is so do you feel do is she like a vindictive person or did she have kind of i mean i wasn't

00:12:55 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 3:

that close to her when i worked with her but the fact that she got with a co-worker after

00:13:01 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 1:

oh she got with a co-worker oh my god that's bad those are one of the ones where you do something like that, I feel like karma's going to come back and bite you in the ass, you know? You're going to get you just desserts. One last one. Brian, are you there?

00:13:17 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 5:

Hey, what's up, Mojo? How you doing, buddy? Love you guys. Love you guys to death. We love you, too.

00:13:24 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, what's happening?

00:13:25 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 5:

So my first ex-wife, notice I said first. I'm on number three now, but this one's forever. I've lost half my stuff twice. I got nothing left so i can't mess this one up um my first ex-wife had her best friend dress up really sexy and um bring this gift bag to to my work i worked third shift and and my boss grabbed it and he said hey this beautiful girl just dropped this off for you and i got digging through it and then the bottom of it was an envelope um and inside the envelope was divorce papers so i'm like my boss was like, what's the matter? I said, that bag had divorce papers in it. But what she didn't know is because she didn't personally hand them to me, I made her have her, I made her resend that or reserve me because, you know, I was a, I was an a-hole back then. Let's, you know, I'm, but uh, yeah, because she didn't, she didn't hand it. She gave them to my boss and my boss gave me the gift bag the papers weren't actually served to me so so she had to go about it and hire a process server

00:14:33 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 1:

and then have him have me served oh my god brian let me ask you a question being divorced three times you said so no two times my third marriage now so whenever you see a guy walking suspiciously with an envelope in his hand do you ever sit there and worry that the third wife is going to do it

00:14:49 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 5:

again yeah don't open it don't give me that envelope i don't want it no this one this one's forever mojo i was an a-hole back then a complete a-hole i've i've come

00:15:00 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 4:

completely around, and this one's forever. I'm not going to mess this one up.

00:15:04 - 00:15:05 | Speaker 2:

Oh, we believe you.

00:15:05 - 00:15:11 | Speaker 4:

I lost half my stuff twice. I got nothing left, man. I'd be out on the street. I'd be living with Kev.

00:15:13 - 00:15:14 | Unknown:

Kev has a

00:15:14 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 4:

place. Oh, my God. Kevin, can you imagine? Who's that guy? That's Brian. I'm just laughing. You got an extra room, don't you, Kev? As long as your ex-wife, sexy best friend come through, you can come too.
