All right, it is Mojo in the Morning show. Kevin, do you let people steal? Kevin witnessed a thief stealing from, hopefully it wasn't Kroger, because if it was Kroger, I would have put cuffs on that son of a bitch.

00:02:16 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 7:

Citizen's arrest. It was Kroger, because Kroger is the only grocery store that I go. They got the prices and the food that I like. So I'm in Kroger. I'm getting my things. Now, typically, I'm a self-checkout kind of guy because I like doing things at my own pace, my own time, and I can get it done. But if I have a lot of groceries, and this was a lot of groceries kind of day, I like to go to the little ladies at the checkout line. So that's what I'm doing. She ringing me up, beep, beep, beep, boom, boom, boom, boom, put in my Kroger thing, get my retiree discount, and then I'm out the door. But there's a nice older gentleman in one of those scooter wheelies behind me. and he starts to put his groceries on the little thing the little belt he starts with his milk and I think he had some eggs had a few things and as I'm getting ready to exit because the lady bagged all my stuff up the cashier that's now assisting him goes sir is this everything and my eyes go to his scooter cart and I look in his cart and he has another like bottle of milk he has some bologna in there, and he has some chocolate pudding in there. It was very specific, so I was looking at it. It's going to be a party at his house. It's going down.

00:03:31 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 8:

Not the chocolate pudding. It's going down. Nothing to choke on in that cart.

00:03:37 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 7:

Nothing to choke on. She's like, sir, is that everything? And he looked at her, and he goes, yes. And then my mom's like, oh.

00:03:44 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 9:

She can't.

00:03:44 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 7:

So she can't see what's in the cart? She can't see, because he's low. Like, he's in the cart sitting low. She's up top. She can't see. So she's, like, scouts on her. like sir is this everything she can't see what's going on he like yes i'm looking at them like no but i'm not gonna say anything because that's not my position and let this man get his pudding off you know i don't know his his circumstances but i felt like let him steal i i gotta tell you that

00:04:11 - 00:04:24 | Speaker 6:

it that would depend on what he looks like the guy the guy is old enough to sit in one of those cards and he was kind of legitimately, I don't know how much, you know, money the guy has or where he is in his stage of life.

00:04:24 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 9:

We know he's living on a fixed income if he's rolling around in a scooter around there. I do think it depends on the situation and in that situation, Kev, and I don't know if you ended up saying anything or not, I would not say anything because in my head I would think he's going to get caught when she sees him driving away on the scooter with other items in the cart that aren't bagged. Yeah. What a bag is missing. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah.

00:04:48 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 6:

By the way, I love that he's riding dirty in his little handicap cart that he's got going on.

00:04:54 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

But there are also certain items that I don't see you stealing. I don't see you stealing deodorant.

00:05:00 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 6:

don't see you stealing toothpaste baby formula or diapers i don't see it i don't see it they for sure take a baby formula they start locking certain things up like deodorant you can't even just grab the degree or whatever you use listen if you're stealing it you need it and you know

00:05:13 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 4:

what i'm not saying it but if the guy is stealing pudding you know you know come on that's why it wasn't on the list let my dog get his pudding that's how i felt can i ask you an honest question please better than even this guy stealing stuff because we're going to get some calls on whether or not you would stop somebody from stealing that stuff who eats bologna anymore no me regularly how nosy are you that you're that you're looking at this guy's entire list of things listen people

00:05:42 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 3:

in carts have no spatial awareness like they don't understand what distance is they can't define it so his damn cart is right on my thigh area as i'm trying to put in my little code to tabulate so But first, I was looking at him like, back the hell up. Then he was nice and old. So I was like, all right, I'm going to let it go. And then at that point, I see the pudding, and I'm intrigued. What's up, Jamal? Hi.

00:06:04 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 7:

Hey, yo, Kev. You a real one for real. Hey, bro, I be looking at these old people, man. They be getting away with the wildest things, bro. I'm telling you.

00:06:13 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 4:

You got to let them get away with it, though.

00:06:15 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 3:

Jamal, are you?

00:06:16 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 4:

You got to. Say that it was somebody that looked like, say, Shannon. You'd turn her ass in, wouldn't you, if it was a woman that was dealing

00:06:24 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 7:

that look like shannon right yeah i ain't gonna lie shannon you gotta go in

00:06:28 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 6:

okay okay follow up question how come i have to treat these old people with respect when they would not do the same for me why don't they let me get away with anything because you're not old no i don't know that i do not know that they put the work in yeah we have all met lazy people Those people get old and then we just give them a pass?

00:06:52 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 3:

No. Life is hard, though. Imagine 70 years of life. Absolutely not. Austin, what's up? It's a nightmare. How you doing, Austin?

00:07:00 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 1:

I noticed the other day, well, I'm doing good. How you doing? Long time. First time. Hey!

00:07:04 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 7:

Austin on the phone!

00:07:07 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 1:

I noticed the other day when I was at Kroger, they got like an angled mirror at the bottom of the checkout aisle. Yes. So they can see if you have stuff on the bottom of your cart. They can't feel it.

00:07:17 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 3:

Like a jail mirror.

00:07:19 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah.

00:07:22 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 4:

I didn't realize that. Now next time I'm stealing, I got to be careful. Ashley, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:07:30 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 5:

Hi, first time, long time. Yeah, Ashley on the phone. Woo! So I went to Joanne's yesterday, and you know they're closing. Yeah, man. Well, they also told me that they're officially closing all of the stores. And so I was cashing out, and I went to accidentally walk out without paying. The lady's like, I'm like, oops, I got to pay. She's like, I don't care if you walk out. Oh, my God. Okay.

00:07:55 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 6:

All right. I was like, the cameras.

00:07:57 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 5:

Thank you.

00:07:58 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 4:

By the way.

00:07:59 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 5:

I was like, the cameras. She's like, they don't care either.

00:08:02 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 4:

I think that's pretty wild, though. That is wild that, you know, you think to yourself, well, the store's closing down. Who cares? It's not taking money from anybody. And then the second thought is, who used to shop at Joanne's?

00:08:14 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 6:

Me, regularly. Again, you bitches. What is wrong with you? And out of all of the craft stores, well, first of all, out of all the craft stores, Joanne should be last on the list to hit the road. Like, last on the list. Like, let's get Michaels out of here first. I don't even have bad blood with Michaels, but the selection doesn't even touch Joanne's. Doesn't even touch it.

00:08:33 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 2:

Hobby Lobby is the most superior. They have everything in terms of selection.

00:08:38 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 6:

No, you could not be more wrong. I don't need another live, laugh, love sign in my life. No, thank you. You don't have to have me another, like, sign covered in hay. No thanks. And I really don't need a reflective little girl sign sold to me the same side for the past 11 years. And you put it 40% off on the weekends, I'm still not going to buy it. Okay? No. Wrong. Absolutely wrong. Joanne is superior.

00:09:00 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 4:

Can I say something real quick? I was blown away when I heard that all these stores have closed in the last year. Bed, Bath & Beyond, Tuesday morning, Rite Aid.

00:09:11 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 2:

Tuesday morning was not good. Party City.

00:09:14 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 4:

Party City was a surprise to me.

00:09:16 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 2:

We were just talking about the other day, because Kev needed balloons for Josiah's birthday. I mean, I guess you go to the dollar store, Kroger. Some of the Kroger's have the balloons.

00:09:24 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 6:

I just got to say one more thing before I let this go. Joanne's is like Lowe's, where the people who work there actually know about the stuff. Like, they actually sew, and they actually do all that. So it actually is.

00:09:34 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 4:

Wait, you're saying that the people at Lowe's know more than the people at Home Depot?

00:09:37 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 6:

Well, no, I would say they're comparable. What about Menards? Oh, my good God. I did not mean to start the feud of the home supply stores. But, you know, like, you ever go to a store where the people there actually do the thing and they're actually helpful? Like, that's Joanne.

00:09:52 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

It matters. So the people at Joanne's have equally no life as you do when you're going in that store?

00:09:59 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 6:

That's crazy. Is that what it is? Hi, Lily.

00:10:01 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 5:

Don't be mad because I can stick with a hobby. Don't be salty because you can't find anything that interests you.

00:10:08 - 00:10:14 | Speaker 6:

Mine's called Amazon. I'm putting everybody out of business. What's going on, Lily? Hi.

00:10:15 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 8:

Hey, yo. I was shopping with a roommate one day. And we were shopping for, like, winter jackets or whatever. and this guy, he was kind of a weird guy. He had weird vibes but like in a dark sense of humor and I didn't really know, you know, where he was coming from but on this one day, he just straight up stole a jacket, like a Columbia jacket from the store. Was this your roommate? Not on accident. Yeah. Yeah. It was my boyfriend's roommate but we were all going shopping together and he just

00:10:53 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 6:

When you find out that you got a kleptomaniac in your friend group that does throw you off We had a friend that was like that that was writing bad checks and then would do it blatantly not because they didn't have the money, they were doing it because that was like their fun

00:11:11 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 7:

I had a roommate like that too and we would go to the mall and she would go into the dressing room and it was always express because she had figured out something about their like security system and she would go in all that she would put on all the clothes that she was trying on then put her the clothes that she wore into the store on top of it and we wouldn't know until we got back to our dorm and that she had all of these clothes that

00:11:36 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 6:

she stole from express smart you know you know what's uh no wild is express is one of those stores too isn't it that was on the closure list y'all never stole i don't know y'all never I think it was. No. When I was a kid, maybe a pack of gum or something.

00:11:50 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 7:

I never stole, but I always, we would go to Sears with my grandma to get nightgowns when we spent the night at her house. It was the Sears in Lincoln Park. I'll never forget this. And I would take off all the extra sequin and button packets from the ladies, old ladies dresses. That was about the extent of my stealing, but.

00:12:05 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 6:

Kevin, the extent of my stealing was I would change price tags sometimes. You know what I mean? Definitely. That is stealing. How do you do that? Well, you would see something that was priced at a certain thing, and then they didn't have one left, so you'd always, you know, try to manipulate the price a little bit.

00:12:21 - 00:12:28 | Speaker 8:

You're the reason why those tags now come with like 17 slits in it, and then I can never get the tag off on a gift? TJ Maxx, that's me nuts. That's you.

00:12:29 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 6:

Voice Disguise Kay, can you put that one up on Voice Disguise, because we're talking about stealing things? Kay, are you there?

00:12:36 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 8:

I'm here.

00:12:38 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 6:

You're Voice Disguise. What did you steal?

00:12:39 - 00:12:43 | Speaker 8:

00:12:43 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 7:

00:12:53 - 00:12:59 | Speaker 8:

00:13:09 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 6:
