I just got back from being off. Shannon, you did too. Please tell me that yours was not as bad as mine was with the amount of people that were still calling me from work oh no really so you completely got a

00:02:02 - 00:02:07 | Speaker 7:

chance to shut off then um i mean there were a few emails here and there but that but nothing

00:02:07 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 6:

crazy and i was in no rush to respond to anybody oh i had i had uh so i so it was it was you know a vacation so i had um all sales people call uh calling me or texting me which is uh almost as bad as that? Cause you feel like you have to answer the text messages where calls, you just kind of let it go to voicemail and then you can say I was on vacation. Um, I had a client, some clients that contacted, which I'm good with that. They spend money. I'll do that. I'll take their call. And then I also, I work with other radio morning shows. Um, some of them in the company and I had some of them calling and their program directors calling. So this was interesting. So this was actually not one of our salespeople that did this. So I don't want Colleen or Kim to get, get mad at them but they did call me numerous times

00:02:54 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 7:

hashtag alicia um so this one was interesting though when you're on vacation do you set one

00:03:08 - 00:03:12 | Speaker 6:

of those notes that says i'm on vacation i'll return your email afterwards because i don't

00:03:12 - 00:03:18 | Speaker 7:

know how to do that i used to i don't i yeah no i didn't do that so i one of the shows that i work

00:03:18 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 6:

quiz program director um he will call me all the time and ask me questions like he'll call me and go hey what do you think of this or like he'll run ideas by me or he'll say he heard something on the show and he wanted to know what my thought was before he goes in and says something to them whatever and so he asked me as somebody that does a morning show like how would I feel if a program director did this so he kept calling me earlier in the week well at the end of the week I was replying to him on something that he had talked to me about earlier in the week. And so I called him and it went right to voicemail. And then I quickly get a text back saying, I'll call you or on vacation. We'll call you Monday when I get back into the office. Are you like, wait, I was like, son of a bitch. You called me nonstop Monday, Tuesday, and even Wednesday. But on Thursday and Friday, now you're suddenly on vacation. And he knew I was on vacation because he was like, oh what you doing i go i'm on vacation so he's like doing this thing and i thought to myself

00:04:21 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 7:

huh the goose and the gander i think oh i would have just continuously facetimed him yes no way

00:04:29 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 6:

oh shannon you got my total you and i are very we're we know each other this is where i become

00:04:35 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 7:

passive very passive aggressive i got your petty pants on i was i called i texted i facetimed i

00:04:43 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 6:

email tagged him in an instagram post i'm like this guy's gonna hear from me i'm gonna make up for all lost time um do you work first uh for a boss that calls you when you're off like if you work if you work for a boss that does that i want you to call us up right now 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 i want you to shout out the boss that calls you when you're off and tells you stuff about work when you're not even supposed to be talking so fired no like i want you to i want you to do that you ever have those guys that you've ever have you ever worked for one of those bosses that does that but then all of a sudden doesn't want you to call them when they're on vacation or off i mean you you call me when you're on vacation yeah but

00:05:26 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 5:

But last week I was sick and you called. I'm like, bro, I'm sick. But what did I call for? To see how I was feeling. I'm sick. I don't want to talk. I'm sick. I called checking up on you, seeing if you're okay. Just send a text. But here's the thing. Just for that, I'm never calling you ever again. With the iPhone, though, you bring up a great point about the OOs, the out of office.

00:05:50 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:05:50 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 5:

Why can't we set that up on our personal devices if I'm going to vacation?

00:05:54 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 6:

Well, this guy obviously did. He had it all pre-planned. He must, no, he must. I don't know how they do it. You ever have that where you can send back a text and you can actually write them back like one of the response texts?

00:06:05 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 1:

It's just automated.

00:06:06 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 6:

Maybe he has it as one of his response texts.

00:06:08 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 1:

That's what you got to set up next time you're on vacation.

00:06:11 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 6:

I'm going to. Out of office.

00:06:13 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 1:

But I also think it is hard for you to be completely out of office. You may physically not be here, but I feel like you still like to have that.

00:06:25 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 6:

connection yeah hey mojo in the morning hello i'm on i'm on a break right now who's this hello hi oh it's mark hi mark how you doing buddy mack of it good how are you guys what's up mark

00:06:40 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 4:

hey you guys are talking about bosses calling you after you uh we're on vacation yeah yeah so my wife had my first child he's one month old yesterday oh nice him my boss called me the day after she had him when i was on paternity leave and asked me if i wanted to get out of the house

00:07:00 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 6:

and do some work wait wait your wife your wife literally just pushed that baby out and he's asking you if you wanted the next day he he was what he tried to make it seem like you would

00:07:12 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 4:

probably want to do this because you're so absolutely stuck absolutely he's like you you You want to get out of the house? Oh, my God. No.

00:07:23 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 6:

Your wife would have killed you. That's what I said.

00:07:25 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 4:

No.

00:07:25 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 6:

My wife would have killed me. How much paternity leave did you take?

00:07:29 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 4:

You know, my company gave me two weeks. I used 40 hours of my PTO after that, so I took three weeks.

00:07:37 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 6:

Wow.

00:07:37 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 4:

And then the fourth week, he was pretty cool about it. He gave me a lot of jobs. I do a lot of construction material testing, so I don't have to be there for the full day.

00:07:47 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 1:

Good for you, by the way.

00:07:48 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 6:

here and there. That's a little excessive, though. Why do you say that? You would never say that

00:07:52 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 1:

about a woman on a certain family.

00:07:54 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 6:

She gave birth to the baby.

00:07:56 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 1:

Good for the company for giving you two weeks, though.

00:07:58 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 6:

This guy pushed out semen. That's all he did. We provide life, they provide birth. Did you help your wife the entire time changing diapers, or did you sit on your ass and watch? Absolutely. Do you play video games all the time? Absolutely, 100%.

00:08:10 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 4:

Call her up. I want to talk to her. I'm 100% into it.

00:08:12 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 5:

Do you hear Keith? Does this sound like a guy

00:08:14 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 6:

that lies? This is Mark. I'm telling you. You hear Mark? I think he's lying. I think he's lying. I want your wife to call me back and tell me if that's the case. Initial C. Hi, you're being voice disguised.

00:08:25 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Yeah, my dad was starting hospice care, and I took the day off to do the intake, and my boss called me probably five or six times within a span of an hour.

00:08:35 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God.

00:08:37 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 1:

That is horrible.

00:08:37 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 6:

Can you stop? Oh, my. Your dad was dying, and your boss is calling you from work. Did he know your dad was dying?

00:08:47 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. He had cancer, so it was a slow decline, and finally he's starting hospice. So I'm like, hey, I'm taking the day off. We're starting hospice. This is the end.

00:08:56 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 6:

Wow, that's awful. No, that's a horrible thing. Do you still work for the guy?

00:09:02 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 3:

I do. I do.

00:09:03 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 6:

Oh, wow. What kind of work does he do? Let's call his ass out.

00:09:07 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 3:

Work for the state.

00:09:09 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 6:

The state.

00:09:10 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 5:

This is the government calling you. You know those websites where you can just send, like, doo-doo? This is, like, the type of person you send doo-doo to.

00:09:17 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 6:

What's up? Initial M wants to be voice disguised. Hi, M.

00:09:21 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 2:

Hi. I have to be voice disguised because I work for the state of Michigan. Another one?

00:09:28 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 1:

Same boss.

00:09:29 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 2:

And it is common. I was in the pool in Florida, and my boss was calling me.

00:09:36 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 6:

Wow.

00:09:37 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 2:

Asking me to hop on a meeting.

00:09:39 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 6:

I'm calling Big Gretch.

00:09:40 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 2:

And asking me to respond at email.

00:09:41 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 6:

That's amazing. So the last caller was also a state worker, and you're a state worker too, and they call you on break. Government. That's funny. I would think that the government would know better than that. That's amazing.

00:09:53 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 2:

Well, they're supposed to. And we're hourly workers, so it's not like we're salaries.

00:09:58 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, when they call you, do you get paid?

00:10:00 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 5:

Do you get to write that down as an hour? Nope. Oh, that's BS. That's awful. That's embarrassing. Somebody just said, hey, isn't Megan sick today? You should call and check in. Call her, please.

00:10:12 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 1:

I've already tried texting and no response, so I think she might be out.

00:10:16 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 5:

Kevin doesn't want me checking on him when he's sick. Maybe Megan would be happy if I checked just to see how she's doing. What's up, Mandy?

00:10:23 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Yeah, so I wanted to comment. I had a pretty horrific boss. My brother was 32. I found him deceased in his apartment, and it was a Thursday night. And my boss, when I called her and told her I wasn't coming in to work, she asked me if I was still going to submit payroll.

00:10:43 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. That's unreal.

00:10:46 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was pretty messed up. I almost quit my job that day, but I had to plan ahead.

00:10:55 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 5:

You and the previous caller whose dad was in hospice. I mean, your loved one dies. That's crazy. Man. Well, I'm sorry that that happened.

00:11:06 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Well, thank you.

00:11:07 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 5:

That's awful. Sorry for your loss, too. That's got to be horrible to lose. They say we got to get payroll. Yeah. It's crazy. If they work for the state, too, I'm moving out of state. I'm not dealing with this.

00:11:18 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 2:
