I want to bring this up because I saw this, and I know that there's a number of our listeners that do it. But there is a study that just came out, and it's because a lot of people are getting sick. Letting your dog lick your face or eat from your plate. Study found 15% of pets and owners are carrying this superbug right now. and it's because of the sharing of the plates or letting them do it and it's not getting completely cleaned off, or it's them licking the face. Researchers believe that the spread is caused by letting them lick your face or share your plates, and despite the potential risk of the superbugs, there are people that are still doing it, and I don't think that people even know about it. They include, by the way, changing your blood pressure. There's people that have had, you know, changing their blood pressure. And also there are people that have gotten viruses from their animals.

Because a lot of people have this misnomer that, oh, a dog's mouth is cleaner than a toilet seat. You know, you hear these things go around kind of urban legends. Hi we just recently got a new puppy From an adoption agency And I ended up with a Campylobacter infection From the dog's poop Puppy steps in poop outside, runs through your house, and you pick it up.

But it put me in the hospital. It's like a really bad food poisoning.

It's really dangerous and can be deadly for pregnant women too. The thing about licking plates, because I would always let Dublin lick plates and forks and stuff, it's okay if you're putting them in the automatic dishwasher that's going to go high heat for a long amount of time. If you just wash your dishes by hand, that's not enough to kill some bacteria like salmonella.
