I have type 2 diabetes, but I manage it well. It's a little pill with a big story to tell. I take one's daily Jardians at each day's start.

00:00:43 - 00:01:40 | Speaker 3:

And for adults with type 2 diabetes and known heart disease, Jardians can lower the risk of cardiovascular death too. Prescription Jardians, empagliflozin, 10 or 25 milligram tablets, are used to lower blood sugar along with diet and exercise in adults with type 2 diabetes. Jardians is not for use to lower blood sugar in people with type 1 diabetes. and not for people with type 2 diabetes who have severe kidney disease. Serious side effects include increased ketones in blood or urine and infection between and around the anus and genitals. Both may be fatal. Severe allergic reactions, dehydration, urinary tract or genital yeast infections in men and women and low blood sugar. Stop taking and tell your doctor right away if you have nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, tiredness, rash, swelling, trouble breathing or swallowing. Tell your doctor about lightheadedness, weakness, fever, pain, tenderness, redness or swelling between the anus and genitals. This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say. My name is Patrick Pettway,

00:01:54 - 00:02:37 | Speaker 6:

and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. For me to be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State pay for all of my tuition, not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website. Like I said, I'm a 40-year-old man, So I don't use technology too much, but it was very understandable where I needed to go. It was extremely fast. These past two years, things have just moved in a total different type of way. It's like its own moving entity to see things manifest the way that they do.

00:02:45 - 00:02:56 | Speaker 8:

We got a guy living a double life. We got him. I don't know if this is your real name. Is your name Ray, or is that just the name that you like to give to the people that you're trying to have a double life with?

00:02:58 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 4:

That's my name.

00:02:59 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 8:

Okay. Ray, you were living a double life.

00:03:03 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 4:

I was up until like three years ago, and then I finally walked away from both of them.

00:03:09 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 8:

So you figured that none of them were worth keeping around, or they both walked away from you?

00:03:15 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 4:

I walked away from both. I had children with both of them.

00:03:18 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 8:

What the heck are you doing? So first off, you know, Shannon brought up something very interesting when we were just talking about this. Why do you want to make your life so complicated? She can hardly, you know, I can hardly and all of us can hardly keep up with our own lives. Why do you want to have such a complicated life?

00:03:31 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 4:

It wasn't meant to be that way. I was leaving one, met someone else, and then I got back with the other. And I got away with it for about two and a half years. And then my girlfriend found out and she basically knew I was seeing the other woman and threatened to leave but never did. and then she ended up getting pregnant. The sad girl stayed around for a bit and she ended up getting pregnant. I had two kids within six months of each other.

00:03:58 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 8:

So what do you do to make the other person think that you're doing work or whatever your excuse was? Like, do you have separate phones for each of them?

00:04:10 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 4:

No, my girlfriend didn't know. She didn't like to go out and party and I did. So I just made the excuse to go out when I was going out to the bar. to, you know, going out to the casino and then the other one would go with me.

00:04:22 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 1:

Was there ever an instance where you accidentally texted something to the wrong girl or called and said something to the wrong girl that got them mixed up?

00:04:32 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 4:

Well, the other girl knew about my girlfriend at home.

00:04:35 - 00:04:36 | Speaker 8:

Oh, so she was in on it.

00:04:36 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

She knew. She knew about it. And then one night I left my phone out and my battery was dead. So when I got out of the shower, she, um, she had, had plugged it in and when it came on, she read all the messages and then she found out. So they talk, I went to sleep, they talked for like seven hours that night and they figured out everything. And dude, you're that sound of a sleep.

00:05:00 - 00:05:03 | Speaker 2:

So it didn't sound like you left them. It sounds like they found out.

00:05:04 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 1:

No, no, no. That was at the beginning, after two and a half years. And then after that, after the two and a half years, they found out about a year later, my girlfriend got pregnant. And then six months later, or a few months later, the other girl got pregnant. And I was not supposed to have any more kids. I was told by a doctor I was not supposed to have kids.

00:05:26 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 4:

I look at this guy, and I'm exhausted just thinking of him. Like, I'm thinking of this.

00:05:30 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 1:

Oh, it was exhausting, and then I finally left my girlfriend, and I was single. I hooked up with the other girls, and we had a child together also, and it just did not work out. So now I end up moving out of town, and, you know, I get to see my kids whenever I come into town and everything. But we have a good relationship.

00:05:50 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 4:

Do you feel bad that these kids are the innocent victims of everything?

00:05:54 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. it wasn't supposed to be that way and it got too messy and it just I felt bad because it was like karma on my part and having two more kids

00:06:06 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 4:

I always wonder when people have these double lives do you have friends and family members that know about this or do they completely get left in the dark because you're afraid that they'll say something or do you have two separate groups of friends

00:06:19 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 1:

I had the same group of friends my family knew about it I lived a while a wild life, I guess. Yeah, I guess you could say.

00:06:28 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 3:

You said you had two more kids. How many kids do you have in total?

00:06:33 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 1:

Four.

00:06:34 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 4:

You know what's wild about this whole thing?

00:06:36 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 1:

I didn't want no more kids. I wanted two kids, and that was it. And I went to the doctor, and the doctor said, you'll never have another child. And then a month later, my girlfriend turns up pregnant.

00:06:47 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 2:

Did you get a vasectomy?

00:06:49 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 1:

No, I didn't. I would never produce kids again. that's what the doctor told me and then not a very good doctor i i find it interesting that

00:07:00 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 4:

i've got friends of mine guy friends of mine that can't find good girls out there you found too

00:07:03 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 1:

like what is that all about and uh you know the second girl she she was a loyal loyal girl she was like she's the one i wanted to be with but i guess i never had the heart to actually get rid of the current girl because she always like try to like throw stuff on me and i'm like all right well, you know, I'll keep you for now. But after, I was with her for 11 years.

00:07:23 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 4:

Did you ever bring the girls to the same place, like same restaurants?

00:07:26 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 1:

And people just look at you kind of like that? No, not like that. But I came home from work one day and they were both sitting on my front porch talking. I'm like, oh, great.

00:07:34 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 4:

Oh, gosh. Did your heart just sink?

00:07:37 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 1:

When I pulled in my driveway, yeah, I did. But I don't regret it now, given the fact that I have two beautiful kids out of the ordeal. Amazing. But, you know, they're both. They was both mad about the pregnancies because they wanted the opposites. They want the opposites. They both got the opposites what they wanted.

00:07:56 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 2:

Why did they just wanted somebody loyal to them?

00:08:00 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah, I was loyal, but at the same time, you know, I was, you know, they knew about each other, though. You know, it's not technically all my fault because they both knew about each other.

00:08:09 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 3:

I mean, they got to take some accountability as well. They knew about each other, and they stuck with it.

00:08:13 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 1:

And I was young, I was stupid, and at the time, you know, I was working a lot, and, you know, I had one girl at home that was, like, the housewife, and then I had the other one was, like, a partier. So, you know, I had both worlds.

00:08:27 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 2:

At the beginning, did they find out about each other, and you said, I'm ending it, and they thought they were back to being the only one, and you're, like, is, did he hang up?

00:08:38 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 4:

No, you're there still, Ray? Yeah, I'm still here. Okay, good, okay. Yeah, Ray.

00:08:43 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 2:

Because either they knew about each other or they didn't. I'm very confused about this. Did they find out at the beginning and then you said you ended it?

00:08:56 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 1:

The side chick, which I considered her, basically, what she considered herself, because she knew about my girlfriend at home. The girl I was dating and living with, she did not know for two and a half years. yeah hold on and then once she found out once she found out i ended up the uh the relationship

00:09:15 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 4:

and i told her i ended it but i didn't canon what did you want to say oh geez mojo i just

00:09:21 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 1:

had to say it's so funny to hear him say i found out she got pregnant and then six months later i found out the she got she got pregnant he got her pregnant right like yes terminology oh yes she got

00:09:34 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 4:

She got herself pregnant. You got her pregnant. So funny. Yeah. Oh, my Lord. Kenan, don't you just seriously want to live his life for, like, one day just to see what it would be like?

00:09:44 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 1:

Maybe one day, Mojo. I don't think I could handle two.

00:09:48 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 4:

I know. Could you imagine? The delusion. Can you imagine when he pulled up in front of the house and they were both on the front porch? Were they drinking lemonade at the time and just hanging out with each other? Or were they, did they have, like, venom? Oddly enough, my side chick was holding my son, the one that my girlfriend just had. Oh, my gosh.

00:10:07 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 6:

She was holding your other kids. Oh, my gosh.

00:10:10 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 4:

That's a whole level of all in the family.

00:10:12 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 6:

This is craziness. Man.

00:10:15 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 4:

It was wild, but, you know, my two kids now are eight and nine, so I don't regret it. You know, they're the best thing. You know, at least I got two more kids out of it.

00:10:24 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 6:

Do they have a relationship, the children?

00:10:27 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 4:

Yes. When I'm in town, the women don't, they don't, like, I guess, talk and let the kids visit. But when I'm in town, I get them all together. And, you know, we have a good time.

00:10:37 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 6:

And they all, like, hang out with each other, huh?

00:10:40 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:10:41 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 6:

Well, at this point, man, just be the best father you can be. Absolutely.

00:10:45 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 4:

That's how I look at it. I walk away from it. I have two great kids out of it. And I learned a valuable mistake. Don't be having two women.

00:10:54 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 6:

By the way, that is amazing. Don't be having two women. Hold on a second here. That's a good one here.

00:11:00 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 4:

I hardly handle one.

00:11:02 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 6:

Hold on. Deep voice guy.

00:11:04 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 4:

From our trailer park to yours, this is Mojo in the Morning.

00:11:09 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 6:

All right. Thank you for the calls, guys. Bye, Kenan. See you, Ray. See you, Mojo. That's Double Life Ray on the Mojo in the Morning Show.
