This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:01:07 - 00:01:52 | Speaker 2:

My name is Patrick Pettway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. for me to be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State pay for all of my tuition. Not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website. Like I said, I'm a 40-year-old man, so I don't use technology too much, but it was very understandable where I needed to go. It was extremely fast. These past two years, things have just moved in a total different type of way. It's like its own moving entity to see things manifest the way that they do.

Let's do it. It is time now for our Mojo in the Morning show, patented early morning stoners club. The club has come to order. Hold on, I need my gavel. My gavel, by the way, should be like a bong. We're coming to order here now, guys, and we are asking you all to shout each other out. Shut out your strength. Yeah, tell us who's waking up this morning and having some fun. Let's go to Brandon first. What's up, Brandon?

00:02:35 - 00:02:39 | Speaker 5:

Hey, first time, long time. Hey, Brandon on the phone.

00:02:39 - 00:02:45 | Speaker 8:

We finally had a topic that fits you. Small time. What's going on, buddy?

00:02:46 - 00:03:00 | Speaker 5:

Not too much. You know, last night I had to re-up, grabbed a new cart, and accidentally grabbed the old Indica sleepiness. So, wrong thing to hit in the morning, but, you know, we're still going to go to work. We're still going to have a good time.

00:03:00 - 00:03:01 | Speaker 8:

What kind of work do you do?

00:03:03 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 5:

I'm just a customer service rep. I sell a vinyl for boats, basically. Okay.

00:03:11 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 8:

It's going to be a great day. You're fine. Let me tell you about the vinyl for boats. Excuse me. I think the man fell asleep. This is perfect. Buzz is on the phone with us right now. Buzz, hi. Hey, how are you doing? Good, buddy. Welcome to the early morning smokers, uh, stoners club. What's going on?

00:03:28 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, just sitting here ready to go to work, smoking on some glue.

00:03:31 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 8:

Hey, Shannon's looking here going, I don't know what that means.

00:03:36 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 2:

I don't, but I'm just trying to pretend I'm cool. Like nodding.

00:03:41 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 8:

Uh, yeah, that sounds cool. Buzz, uh, what do you do for a living?

00:03:49 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 4:

My friend, uh, right now I'm working on BMW mechanics.

00:03:53 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 8:

Okay.

00:03:54 - 00:03:55 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no. No.

00:03:55 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 8:

I want my five series worked on by you today. Let's go. We'll see you, man. Katie is on with us. We got the ladies today. What's up, ladies? How are you, Katie?

00:04:08 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 7:

I'm doing well. I'm in the auto department as well. I'm a claims adjuster.

00:04:13 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 8:

And are we waking and baking?

00:04:17 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 7:

Absolutely, every day. I do the warm-up show with you guys also. Oh, thank you. We're smoking on Katie with Stray. Oh, we are not smoking any glue today, but we have the Fire Sticks by Glorious Canada's company. Amazing. Hey, let's get shout out to them. I also want my claims adjuster to be high. I want them to approve my claims. That's true. That is true. That's why we do it before work, so we're in a good mood. The rates ain't the only thing, huh?

00:04:44 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 8:

Hang on one second, okay? Let's go to Jessica here. Hi, Jessica. How are you? Welcome to the club.

00:04:51 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 7:

Oh, thank you. Good morning. Good morning.

00:04:54 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 8:

What's going on? We already smoking?

00:04:56 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yes. I'm old-fashioned. I need to roll a joint. Nice-fashioned doobie, and a doobie a day keeps the flower away.

00:05:05 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 6:

I like how you told Lydia that you are a medicated mama.

00:05:09 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yes, and proud of it.

00:05:11 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 6:

Love it. Thank you for listening to the show. Let's go to Eugene next. Hello, Eugene. Welcome to the club. How are you, buddy?

00:05:19 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 7:

Good morning, everyone. Good morning.

00:05:21 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 6:

What's happening?

00:05:24 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 7:

Just giving a shout-out to the stoners in the morning. You know how it goes.

00:05:27 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 6:

Well, not really, because I couldn't do it this early in the morning. I told you that I literally cried last time I tried, but what's happening?

00:05:37 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 7:

I drive an hour to work, and every day I smoke on my drive. Okay.

00:05:42 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 6:

Can you tell me where you drive so I can stay off that road? You're not on the lodge, are you? No, no. I-75. All right. I-75. Shout out to I-75 traffic right now. Well, thank you for the call. Appreciate it, Eugene. Let's go to Fate Angel is on with us right now. Is that your name? Yes. What's going on, Fate Angel?

00:06:06 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 7:

I have been smoking since I've been seven, and I smoke from the time I get up to the time I go to bed.

00:06:11 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 3:

Wait, since you were seven?

00:06:13 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, my mom and dad gave it to me for ADHD. Okay. Instead of Ridley. Oh, it's not a lie. I'm dead serious. Since I said they gave me two blunts, a lighter color book and crayons and told me, meet me alone.

00:06:30 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 8:

Oh, my God. Parents of the year. Oh, God. I'm going to be honest. I feel like you need to talk to somebody.

00:06:36 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 6:

Well, I mean, they did name a Fade Angel. How does our show sound to you? Do you like listening to Mojo in the Morning?

00:06:42 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 7:

I'm a long-time listener, and I've been trying to get on for a long time. This is the first time I got on.

00:06:47 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 6:

By the way, that's a stoner's way of saying long-time first time. Thank you for the call. I appreciate you.

00:06:57 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 7:

Oh, no problem. Hey, I also tried to call when you were talking about sex workers because I've been a sex worker since I've been 16. Oh, no. Are you serious? I'm dead serious because I've been on my own because I'm intersex. Okay.

00:07:13 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 6:

Well, listen. I'm so sorry. Children, I feel like everybody needs a good parent in their life, unfortunately. Well, thank you for the call. Appreciate it. Have a great day, fate angel. Till Zach, happy birthday. Lydia, who's next? I'll take one last call here.

00:07:32 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 2:

Here's the thing. You've got to go all the way down the rabbit hole. Sometimes we just get the comment. I did. I know. Lydia really just said, Mo, don't move on.

00:07:41 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that was bad. I know. That was one of those. I'll listen back to that on the podcast and wish that I would have gotten out of that one with the sweeper afterwards. Any last ones here or am I good?

00:07:51 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 8:

I think we're good. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:07:53 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 1:
