This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:00:53 - 00:01:38 | Speaker 2:

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center. But it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, put in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be that you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years, were kind of not out of the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State, with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four-year.

So I want to bring something up. I had a call from a friend that wants to go to this. And this friend is one of those friends that I think everybody has. every time he drinks dot dot dot because this is one of those things we all have those people that we know that every time they drink they do something some people get angry you know some people get angry they they drink and they get crazy and they start you know punching walls and stuff like that some people and this is my friend are a little too lovey and it's not with their wife every time that my friend who wants to come to this party and is coming to this party because i actually put their name in uh comes to any kind of a thing that we're throwing could be whatever could be a bar that we're going to hang out at his group or it could be like my house and a group of people over there he is kissing and flirting on girls that are not his wife i mean he'll he i've seen him kiss like well i mean kissing he's like not like like you know tonguing or anything but like he's like oh god it's great to see you and i'm like next thing you know he's like going in for kisses so be careful of him and i'll point him out to you but he does this and then what ends up happening is it ends up in a fight and then what happens is saturday morning he's got to do the whole apology thing yeah the apology world tour to everybody that was there yeah that he doesn't realize what's going on and i bring this up because he'll be there tonight and i want to make sure all the listeners know who he is and i'll point him out but i also wanted to ask if you could call out the person that is in your life and it could be even you that every time they drink they do this i will say this to you i'd rather be with the kissy huggy guy than be with

00:03:35 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 3:

the puncher guy oh god the aggressive guy yes is so irritating yes just wants to pick a fight with

00:03:43 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 4:

00:04:42 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 4:

they drink is this about somebody else or about you this is about me yes what do you do i steal

00:04:50 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 3:

i'm a kleptomaniac whenever i drink what's the best thing you've stolen though um actually it was when i was in college i went to a frat party Thank you.

00:05:00 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 6:

They had a kegger up by the refrigerator, and on top of the refrigerator was this gigantic beer stein filled with coins. Now, mind you, I walked to this party. I walked right up there, grabbed that whole thing. There was like $50 of coins in that thing, and I walked right out of the party with it. We take men's money.

00:05:20 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 1:

That's crazy. You're not coming to our party tonight. I hope not. You're like reason. Listen, we have a couple of listeners that we've had to ask nicely, please don't ruin it for everyone, because they'll go to our parties, and from time to time, we'll have the managers of the locations, wherever it is, come up to us and go, is there any way that you could tell the person to put down the house plant, you know, like, or something?

00:05:49 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 6:

I'd have to return clothes.

00:05:51 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 1:

Have you really? At, like, what, house parties?

00:05:54 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:05:55 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 1:

You go into their closets and steal their clothes?

00:05:58 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 6:

Day. Yeah. Or something out of their bathroom.

00:06:01 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Julie is out of control. What are you drinking?

00:06:04 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 6:

I have to turn around and return it.

00:06:05 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Yeah, what is your drink of choice?

00:06:09 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 6:

Usually just a captain and diet.

00:06:11 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 1:

Oh, it's captain. Captain make you crazy. Thanks for the call, Julie. What's up, Fred?

00:06:18 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 2:

Hello, hey. What's going on?

00:06:20 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 1:

This isn't the same Fred we just talked to, is it? No. Oh, it's a different Fred.

00:06:24 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 2:

I'm Fred from Detroit. Fred from Detroit. What's happening, buddy?

00:06:27 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 1:

What is it? Every time they drink, they...

00:06:31 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, every time my boyfriend, he used to drink, I used to have to get him out of fight.

00:06:37 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 1:

Oh, he was the fighting guy.

00:06:40 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I'm six foot two, about 230, and he was little.

00:06:46 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 1:

So would he always go and fight with, like, the biggest person in the place?

00:06:50 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 2:

No, he would just, you know, we'd be sitting there casually, And then next thing you know, he'll just stare at somebody like, yeah, I'm about to go and talk to this dude. This dude ain't got nothing on me. I'm like, oh, man. I'm like, all right, he's drunk, man. Let me sit down.

00:07:07 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's awesome. Trent, every time they drink?

00:07:12 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 4:

One of my best friends gets completely naked.

00:07:15 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no. And you got to what? Put clothes on him?

00:07:21 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 4:

No, it's impossible. He just streaks around the entire place, wherever we're at. It doesn't matter if we're in public. It doesn't matter if we're at a house party. He just, after three shots, he just starts falling.

00:07:32 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 1:

What's off first, the top or the bottoms?

00:07:35 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 4:

Oh, the bottoms. Straight for you. Oh, yeah. He goes right to the bottoms, then he keeps his socks on because it's too cold.

00:07:46 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's great.

00:07:47 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 5:

He's a little piglet.

00:07:49 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Eric, every time they drink.

00:07:54 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 3:

If I'm out in the bars with people, I tend to just wander off. It's like a big game of Where's Waldo? And I got so drunk the one time they actually bought a leash for me to put on.

00:08:08 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 1:

You know what? That would suck to have to keep track of you, not knowing where you are.

00:08:12 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, apparently I'll talk to random people and go from bar to bar and end the life of the party, pretty much.

00:08:20 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 1:

Classic. James, you there?

00:08:22 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I'm here.

00:08:23 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 1:

James is another violent one. Every time you drink?

00:08:27 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 3:

Yes, Southern Comfort will have me going Mayweather on you. Oh, no. Mayweather.

00:08:34 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 1:

Really? So you actually punch people when you're drinking Southern Comfort?

00:08:39 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 3:

You know, I stare people down, and then if they, you know, they're about that action, it's so bad.

00:08:46 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 1:

Why are you still ordering this? Stay away from the Southern comfort.

00:08:52 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 3:

It's good stuff, man. Put a little bit of lime with it.

00:08:55 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 5:

It's not good stuff. It's not.

00:08:58 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 1:

If it's making you do that. If it's making you do that.

00:08:59 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 5:

If it's making you do that. If it's making you do that. If it's making you do that. If it's making you do that. If it's making you do that. If it's making you do that. If it's making you do that. If it's making you do that.

00:09:02 - 00:09:03 | Unknown:

00:09:03 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 1:
