00:02:42 - 00:02:44 | Speaker 2:

This is like an orgasm in a cup.

00:02:49 - 00:02:50 | Unknown:

Showtime.

00:03:19 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 2:

good morning good morning good morning welcome to the mojo in the morning show Thanksgiving week. Yes. And, wow, what a weekend, huh? Big win for the Wolverines. Still undefeated and getting ready for a big game this weekend against the Ohio State Buckeyes. We got to make sure we remember that. Of course.

00:04:00 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 5:

We don't have to.

00:04:02 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 2:

While we're on in Toledo, we got a 50-50 split, I think, down there. uh but uh plus it's uh it's going to be an interesting week as far as the lions are concerned the lions going for four wins in a row they haven't won three wins in a row since 2017 i don't even know what the stat is for four wins in a row i don't even know if they even have that as a stat we're gonna do it yeah the possibility of playoffs is is possible now

00:04:31 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 3:

it's crazy we have a better record than green bay isn't that great

00:04:37 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 2:

a lot of good stuff from the weekend we'll talk about it coming up here in a little bit uh it's mojo in the morning so we went to our friends for a friendsgiving which by the way i hate friendsgivings even though i love turkey well because well first off i'll tell you the story about what happened at their house and then secondly i'll give you my Thank you. theory on friends givings coming up here there were so many of those yesterday oh people were having them all weekend yeah i was at an early one and the person had to leave they had two more

00:05:09 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 1:

friends givings later that night yeah it's like crazy well we went to our friend andrea's house and it was a bunch of us that were there and she decided she was going to host this year and um she's she's actually a good cook but um she decided she was going to try to keep it as clean as possible and then there was stuffing on the ceiling and that's all i will say um she was pulling the turkey she's one of those that does um the stuffing in the bird's ass like she puts the stuffing which i think is the proper way to do it because it gets all the grease and juices oh god from the juices from the uh the turkey on the stuffing and you pull it right out of the butthole and it's just honestly it's delicious when you do that right yes um so she was pulling the turkey and the stuffing out of the uh the oven and she was using one of those disposable tinfoil pans you know you have met kroger's and meyer's and stuff where you just throw it away right afterwards it's the greatest thing ever it is the best especially with something like a turkey where you're scrubbing that pan for a half hour. Yeah, soaking it for days, right?

00:06:22 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 2:

You can use those for turkey.

00:06:24 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 1:

They actually have one that's meant for a turkey.

00:06:26 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 2:

But it's so thin and the turkey's 28 pounds.

00:06:30 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 1:

Well, here's the problem, though. They have different ways to do it so that it's not what happens to her. But she pulls the turkey out of the oven and the thing, and she's holding it from the ends with the potholders, the wormers. And as she's pulling it out The turkey literally is so heavy Like Spike said It causes the thing to kind of go Center and completely fold up Like an accordion Causing then the turkey to fall out And then everything Just to splatter all over the place On the ceiling, on the floor On the cabinets First off, let me tell you this There was less stuffing in the bird's butthole After this thing And more stuffing on the ceiling than ever before and the craziest is we're all standing around you know how people get where they're really really hungry and they just stand around and the poor person who's cooking has to you know have like an audience while this is going on and we're all standing around and all of a sudden i hear one person it was john screams boston market wait a second though did anybody Would I still eat the turkey and the stuffing? Oh, yeah, absolutely. Okay, I was going to say, I'd still eat it. There was not as much stuffing. There was not as much. And here's the thing. I couldn't have the stuffing because it was not gluten-free stuffing. But I ate the turkey. I was like, and actually, to be honest with you, my favorite part of a turkey is the skin of the turkey. I love it when it's crispy and stuff on the outside. Do you guys like that at all, or do you guys cut that right off?

00:08:02 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I like it.

00:08:03 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 1:

It's my favorite. So, yeah. Oh, yeah, we did that. But they were all upset. They're like, you know, I felt so bad for her. She did such a great job. It was honestly so sweet that she hosted it and did all this stuff. We all tried to clean up. There's grease spots on the ceiling that are just not going to come out right away. We did, you know, did all the, it was like, all right, we're cleaning up before we eat, which was the hardest thing ever because you're just sitting there just salivating. But I have a theory about Friendsgivings. My theory about Friendsgivings is it started so that you can do a test run before your family comes over so you don't have your mother or your father or in-laws witnessing what happened to Andrea. You know?

00:08:48 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 2:

It's a good theory. Remember, the origin of Friendsgiving was for people that weren't going to see their family, didn't have family around. So college kids would all get together and do Friendsgiving. But it usually tends to be someone who hasn't had as many Thanksgivings of cooking. Yeah. A little inexperience.

00:09:04 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 1:

Like a test run or something. And then what I think what's caused for people to not like turkey, because nobody – Gen Zs, Xs, and Ys, and every Gens don't like turkey anymore. For some reason, people don't like turkey. And I know that they keep talking about the price of turkey and what turkey is. But I can't get my 20-something sons or my 17-year-old son to want to eat a turkey. I'm the only one in my house. My wife doesn't like turkey. They all like honey-baked hams. And they all want, like, can we have a steak? I'm like, no, we don't have a steak. We're not having a steak. Have you ever looked at a Thanksgiving picture and seen a steak on the table?

00:09:43 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Remember, we've been telling people how crazy expensive turkeys are this year because of the Asian bird flu wiping out the whole population. so yesterday my niece and nephew brought their turkey to the dinner and i was like oh this is huge where'd you get this turkey he said my brother's front yard and it was exactly

00:10:00 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 4:

what we talked about on the air last week. You know how there's so many turkeys walking around?

00:10:03 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 2:

Wait, but are those... No, you can't eat those. You can't eat those.

00:10:06 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, he killed a turkey. Well, he lives out in rural Howell, so maybe there's bigger, fatter turkeys out there.

00:10:13 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 3:

But it was a huge turkey. I would be afraid that the turkey has like E. coli, or not E. coli, but has...

00:10:18 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 4:

It's a natural turkey. I mean, I don't know if he knew if it had bird flu or something, but...

00:10:23 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 3:

I don't... Well, I would think that that's a city turkey.

00:10:27 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's been like hanging out on the side of the road.

00:10:30 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 4:

He's out in the country What do you think happens to the turkeys That are farm raised They live a lovely life They are like shoved in a little pen That's about 12 inches by 12 inches Pooping on each other

00:10:42 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 3:

I don't know Spike I don't know if I'd eat that thing

00:10:44 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 2:

The turkeys he's eating is probably roadkill Like on the side of the road That's better

00:10:50 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah exactly Those turkeys got the smog from the big city I don't know if I want them

00:10:58 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 4:

No, he's out in the rural area. Really? He's not near the city. And where is he again? Howell? Way out in Howell, Pinkney.

00:11:04 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 3:

Howell, Pinkney? Oh, my God. You're going to eat one of those turkeys? It's funny. I see a lot of them these days. They're, like, running through my neighborhood. I don't even live that way.

00:11:12 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 4:

Everybody said it was the best turkey they had forever because there's no preservatives, no additives. It was just walking around this earth about a week ago.

00:11:18 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 2:

I used to think it was so sad to eat turkeys until you meet a wild turkey. And those are the meanest creatures in the entire world that deserve to be eaten. I've threatened those turkeys. I'm going to eat you if you don't get hired, and I would never do it.

00:11:32 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, those things will attack you if you're not careful. But, Brandon, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning Show.

00:11:39 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 5:

My girlfriend's dad is actually raising a turkey in his backyard right now. We've been raising it for the last couple weeks.

00:11:45 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 4:

Are you laughing at these guys that are saying, oh, it might have touched a road?

00:11:49 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 3:

Where are you calling from? What town are you calling from?

00:11:52 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 5:

Oxford.

00:11:53 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 3:

Really? And they raised turkeys there?

00:11:56 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. No, he got it from his friend. His name is Dave, actually. See, that's Dave. Wait, the turkey's name is Dave?

00:12:02 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 1:

He's got a turkey. Once it's got a name, you can't eat it.

00:12:04 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I agree with you. No, no, I can't eat it. Me personally, I can't since it's got a name and everything.

00:12:09 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:12:10 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I'm telling you. That would scare the crap. I'd never be able to talk to another Dave ever again. What's up, Hannah?

00:12:18 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 5:

Hey. Hey, so I turkey hunt, and you guys think that the birds that we buy in the store Are like better than the ones that you can get Like organically outside It's not I just feel like at least we know That they're out there You don't know if they give them shots And they give them all sorts of stuff

00:12:37 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 3:

I want mine to be vaccinated I want my turkeys to have vaccines

00:12:42 - 00:12:48 | Speaker 4:

Did you ever pick up the turkey Did you ever order a turkey from a farm And pick it up

00:12:48 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 5:

I have

00:12:49 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 4:

You used to go pick one out I used to go pick one out It ruined me when I see that. It's scary. Yeah.

00:12:55 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 3:

My grandpa, my grandpa Daly, actually lived on a turkey farm. And for Thanksgiving every single year, we used to have to make him a steak and a baked potato because he would not, as a kid, that was his job, was to wrangle up turkeys. So it was a bad deal.

00:13:10 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 4:

You thought it's because he cared for the turkeys. It's because he saw how they had 700 turkeys shoved on a half acre, pooping on each other, eating their own poop.

00:13:17 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that would probably do me in, too, if I was living on a farm. Brendan, what's up?

00:13:21 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 5:

wild turkey is the best turkeys to eat way better than come on better than a butterball

00:13:28 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 3:

ball but you can't call the butterball hotline if you have any issues trying to prepare it true yeah you guys try it i don't know i to me a wild turkey that's like roaming the streets that we see i don't know if i'm gonna do it like would you eat let me ask you this would you eat one of the deer that, like venison from a deer that was just sitting in your front yard?

00:13:52 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 4:

Yes, I would.

00:13:53 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you're crazy. What do you mean sitting

00:13:55 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 4:

in your front yard? It's not roadkill. It's a living creature. I know, but

00:13:59 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 3:

I wouldn't kill it. That'd be like eating somebody's dog. I don't know. I just wouldn't do it.

00:14:03 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 4:

You'd rather have it electrocuted in a factory and processed by machines and sitting on a shelf for

00:14:07 - 00:14:15 | Speaker 3:

six months. I'd rather have it know that a guy got it up north in some like quaint little Michigan town. This is what I'm telling you. The story

00:14:15 - 00:14:17 | Speaker 5:

I mean, my head is good. I'm just going to go with that.

00:14:17 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I don't want a Waterford turkey. No offense to Waterford, but I don't want one of yours. What's up, Annette?

00:14:27 - 00:14:55 | Speaker 1:

Hey, good morning, guys. So I live in Detroit, and about maybe 30 years ago, my mom and my dad bought a live turkey from, you know, the little bird market. We had that turkey maybe about a week before Thanksgiving, so we thought it was a pet. Oh, no. The night before Thanksgiving, they killed the turkeys. And, of course, you know, the Thanksgiving day, we did not eat the turkey because we felt like, oh, my God, we just ate our pet birds.

00:14:59 - 00:15:02 | Speaker 3:

Traumatizing. isn't it? Yes. I don't think you

00:15:02 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 5:

could do that when you have little kids in the house.

00:15:05 - 00:15:05 | Unknown:

Exactly.

00:15:06 - 00:15:07 | Speaker 3:

Thank you for the call. Happy Thanksgiving.

00:15:08 - 00:15:51 | Speaker 4:

Did I tell you guys that my family adopted a turkey for my sister? Yeah, what's the turkey's name? Roberto. Oh, Roberto. You guys, you guys, so my sister Emily is vegan, so she doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving anyway, just because of personal beliefs, but she doesn't eat meat, obviously. So her birthday's November 11th, so every year for her birthday she asks us to adopt a turkey. So this year we got Roberto. He comes with a little, like, a certificate with his story about what he likes to do. His personality is curious and chatty. His favorite pastime is exploring the pasture. He lives at Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, New York. I mean, he has, like, a whole, look at the pictures they send you of Roberto. Oh, wow.

00:15:51 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 6:

But do you get to FaceTime him? Like, how do you know he's real?

00:15:52 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 4:

I don't know.

00:15:53 - 00:16:06 | Speaker 5:

Right. Everybody gets that same picture the last eight years of Roberto. But the other thing she's not telling everybody. But he's curious and chatty. They adopt a turkey, but they still buy and kill and eat another turkey. Your sister just doesn't know about that. That's true.

00:16:06 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 6:
