00:01:30 - 00:02:26 | Speaker 2:

all right it is mojo in the morning good to have you guys here with us home of war the roses uh busting cheaters the second date update finding out why you're not getting a call back and shannon's dirties on the 30s plus our five lies tell your mom phone scams the uh throwback throwdown am i the a-hole uh good to have you guys here with us today i think i have a one-sided friendship going with one particular person and i would like to discuss this and i don't know if you guys have ever felt like there is a friendship that you have that is purely a one-sided friendship so this past weekend i'll get my phone out here so i can read it oh he has receipts thank you that's what you call them receipts okay i got the receipts right here um i text won Kevin Irwin. I'm sad that he's not here.

00:02:27 - 00:02:28 | Speaker 5:

The second or his dad?

00:02:29 - 00:02:34 | Speaker 2:

The second. Good question. His dad, I should have. I don't even have his dad's number. I need his dad's number.

00:02:34 - 00:02:37 | Speaker 3:

He won't give it to you. He won't give it to anybody.

00:02:38 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 2:

Kevin will not give his dad's number. You know what? That's another reason why I got to check him off as a bad friend. So I sent Kevin a text message. And this was on Saturday at 9.42 a.m. Okay? And the text message said, let's go see Odyssey, because he's been talking about this movie literally for a year or so. And Kev loves going to the movies. He's a movie nut. And here's the thing that's interesting. He may live in downtown Detroit. He goes to the movie theater that is my movie theater. He goes to the Imagine Nova. He likes the Super E-Max that they have there. So he goes all the way out there. And I figured, you know what? It's early enough on a Saturday. I'll send that to him. He won't answer me back for 24 hours because that's pretty much our one-sided friendship.

00:03:24 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 3:

And you need to buy tickets in advance, I think, right? Well, it's so sold out.

00:03:29 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 2:

I got a friendship with somebody. Paul, even though Paul is not the... And Nick. So I had an in on a couple of theaters or a couple of times. This is my text back. And I will say this. He answered back fairly quickly. 942 is my text. His text, 956. LOL, there's no way you're sitting in a theater that long. And then I text back with a big popcorn I would, and he doesn't text me back at all.

00:04:00 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 5:

That's it?

00:04:01 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 2:

That's it.

00:04:01 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 5:

You were left on read.

00:04:03 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. He blew me off. He gave me so much false hope when I saw the dot, dot, dots appear.

00:04:14 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 4:

That he was texting?

00:04:15 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 2:

I thought for sure I was getting a date.

00:04:17 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 4:

Here's the thing. To be fair, and I understand you're upset because your buddy ghosted you, but at the same time, do you think you could actually stay awake for a three-hour movie because you don't have a good track record?

00:04:32 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 2:

I slept great the night before, and my testosterone level is now at an 800, which is amazing, by the way. Okay, great. I'm happy for you. She is a lucky girl.

00:04:46 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 4:

You usually fall asleep during movies.

00:04:49 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 2:

So here's the thing, and I want to throw this out there. I don't know if there's anybody that has one-sided friendships with people. You can call that relationship out. I really don't know.

00:05:00 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 1:

really want to hang out with him and go to a movie because he's a fun guy to be around i can only imagine how much fun he would be to look at his face during a movie oh my gosh you know what i mean like in josiah coming with too it'd be awesome so i was like all right well maybe i'll just go see it by myself and then i thought you know what here's what i'm gonna do and you guys tell me on this one i thought maybe i'll go see toy story and hold odyssey for kev and after the show one day he'll want you know he'll say all right i'll go with you okay then i thought to myself and tell me if you think this is weird can a guy by himself a man with no kids go into a disney pixar movie with a theater full of moms and kids and dads and kids okay you've done a lot

00:05:51 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 2:

of overthinking on this movie thing normally i would say no you can't but toy story to me is like an adult movie as well yeah especially this one especially five maybe pick a later show time really don't go during the day when all the kids i wouldn't i wouldn't bet an eye at a at a guy for toy story but if it was like you know the the a new whatever the new animated princess movie is

00:06:16 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 1:

yeah i you're a creep so if i so if i walked in all right question here you go if i walked in to Toy Story and your son and daughter are sitting there and you get up and go to the, you know, do you ever leave them in the theater by themselves and go to the bathroom or anything? Yeah. What a horrible mother

00:06:36 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 2:

you are. They are old enough.

00:06:38 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 1:

What a horrible mother. They could be kidnapped. No. They would return them right away. And John Rolfe and America's Most Wanted would be. Especially Smith.

00:06:46 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 4:

Nope. Especially Smith.

00:06:48 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 1:

What would you do if I bought this seat right on the other side of you guys and sat next to smith and you didn't know who i was and you see my fat i honestly wouldn't care in that

00:06:58 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 2:

particular movie unless you started you know chatting it up with him uncomfortably i think

00:07:05 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 1:

i don't know i think i would be okay i think i i think this toy story to me is like it's both i wouldn't talk to a movie but also an adult movie what if i shared my popcorn okay so are you gonna

00:07:16 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 4:

can we go back to kev are you gonna tell him that you're mad um well i put it in topics and i know

00:07:21 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 1:

Kev's not here. He's not reading topics on his week off. You don't think Kev is? I think he does.

00:07:27 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 2:

I don't think he does on a normal basis.

00:07:30 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 1:

Lydia, can you call Kevin just to get his side of it, just to see? I know he's off, but honestly, if I was off, I'd want to at least clear my name.

00:07:38 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 2:

I can't believe he left you on red. He could have at least said, you know, I'm going, just Josiah and I are going.

00:07:44 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 4:

But I think he was recording on Saturday, too.

00:07:47 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 1:

What do you guess that Kevin's going to say to me? You think he's going to say, no, man. I guess Kev's not even going to answer the phone. He's going to be, no, man. That's going to be his thing.

00:07:57 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 4:

I think he's going to say it's weird for two men to go.

00:07:59 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 1:

Hold on. George is on the phone with us right now from Six Salons.

00:08:03 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 2:

Oh, hi, George. The guy who would bail me out. Good morning, everyone. George, will you go to the damn movie with him?

00:08:10 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 3:

I would absolutely love to. I saw it last night. It was fantastic. And I'm a notorious sleeper through movies. Not one time did I even think about falling asleep. Really?

00:08:20 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 1:

George, I may need you on this one here. I'm here for you. I want to go see it. And listen, I don't think that I would fall asleep. My only problem with George is our schedules are so crazy. This guy, you know, tell everybody what your Monday through Friday schedule is as far as when you start, when you are. All right.

00:08:38 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 3:

So I start tomorrow morning at 530 and I go until 6. Wednesdays I go 10 to 10. Thursdays I go noon to midnight. and then Fridays I do just an eight-hour shift.

00:08:50 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 2:

Who's getting their hair cut at 5.30 in the morning? Or midnight.

00:08:53 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:08:54 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 3:

The people that are doing everything in the city and state of ours.

00:09:00 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 1:

Isn't that wild? That's crazy. How convenient, though, is that if you're a business person or you're just some mom that doesn't want to, like, you know, you'd get a babysitter and you want to wait until your spouse comes home, you can get your hair done at 11 o'clock at night from George.

00:09:16 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 3:

Absolutely. Usually it's like feed the kids, feed the husband, put everybody to bed, and still get stuff done and be able to take care of yourself.

00:09:24 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 1:

George, can you believe you know Kevin well? I know he's a buddy of yours too. Can you believe that he did that to his friend? Isn't that sad? He ghosted you, huh? He ghosted you. I'm telling you, George, not only did he ghost me, he made me feel belittled. Oh, my gosh. He hurt my feelings. feelings.

00:09:46 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 3:

I'm sure he didn't mean it. I know. All right. Well, listen,

00:09:50 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

I love you, brother. I know you're always there for me, man. So we'll figure it out. Love you, man. Absolutely. Take care. Thank you. Bye, George. Lydia, any response from

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 2:

Kevin Irwin? Nope, didn't answer. And I also texted him earlier this morning and he didn't answer me. Wait, what did you

00:10:06 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 7:

text him for this morning?

00:10:07 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 2:

I texted him just to see if he wanted to talk about Idlewild before he left. Oh,

00:10:12 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 7:

okay. Alright. You know what? I got an idea. You know how I can hang out with Kevin? Go to Idlewild. I'm going to buy a spot at Idlewild. What would he do if I showed up?

00:10:21 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 2:

I would die. Do you think he would have

00:10:23 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 7:

me blocked? I think he would be excited. Really? Yeah. I'm going to pack my Tommy Bahama swimsuit. I'll be the only guy in Idlewild in a Tommy Bahama, I guarantee you. Keith, what's going on? Oh, nothing.

00:10:38 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 6:

Good morning, Mojo and the fam.

00:10:40 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. Want to go see a movie with me?

00:10:44 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but am I going to have to nudge you every like 10 minutes?

00:10:47 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 8:

The answer is yes. Why do you guys

00:10:49 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 7:

just assume that I'm

00:10:51 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 8:

a sleeper? Assume. We've seen movies with you. Well, we've seen the movie. You haven't seen the movie, but you're there.

00:10:57 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 7:

I've flown on flights with you with your mouth completely wide open.

00:11:01 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 8:

And guess what? You too. Whoa.

00:11:03 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 7:

We both have apnea. Hold on. Jordan, what's going on? What smart-ass comment do you want to say, Jordan?

00:11:12 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 6:

So you're trying to get on Kevin's website, so he'll go on a date with you, right? Yes. Are you sure it's a good idea to call the man on his day off at 7 a.m.?

00:11:24 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 7:

Listen, you know what? Kevin doesn't have hours. I'm telling you. He normally will show up at work and you'll say, Kevin, you sent us a text at like 2 o'clock in the morning. I guarantee you he's okay.

00:11:37 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 6:

I guess. Yeah, I didn't think about that. I guess this is good payback. But you have to make him happy. Otherwise, he's not going to go here.

00:11:45 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 7:

Now I know. This is the thing. Now I know why people that do our second date updates seem so sad. I should have played that music right when we were doing this.

00:11:56 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 2:

um all right anna i felt like you anna what what why am i getting thrown into i felt like it was
