Wow-wee. Wow-wee. Wow-wee. Hello. Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. We are back. We are back. It is so good to be back. I know that there are some people that were probably tired of the fact that we were off for a couple of weeks. Let me just tell you, we don't care.

00:04:36 - 00:04:36 | Unknown:

No.

00:04:37 - 00:04:52 | Speaker 2:

Appreciate us being back. We appreciate Anzalone being back. Let's go! You guys, I was seriously praying that the Lions won last night for more reasons than one. I just wanted everybody to be in a good mood this morning for our return. Selfishly, that was part of it.

00:04:53 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 6:

You know, what's funny is I was reading some of the social media posts while I was up all the way till about two o'clock in the morning. I slept for about an hour. and 40 minutes I think even and they saw they saw that went to the game last night it was at the game Kevin I were there with Luke my son Luke and his best buddy and people were going oh good this means they're off tomorrow like it was kind of like one of those things I'm like no we put our

00:05:21 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 5:

bodies on the line seeing you guys there made my butthole pucker because the last time you guys were there. What happened? We lost our

00:05:29 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 6:

voices. We were... They lost the game.

00:05:31 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 5:

No, that was me. That was just me. Oh, that's right.

00:05:34 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 1:

So Wes went to the game. 3-0.

00:05:39 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 2:

At breakfast yesterday, Wes was looking to buy tickets because he got last minute tickets. And he said, do you want to go to the game with me tonight? And I said, well, no for two reasons. One, I don't want to start the week with like an hour of sleep like Mojo is. And two, the last game that I went to was the one of the two that we lost good call so i can't thank you thank you so he took his daughter where

00:06:03 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 6:

was my invite uh by the way west is the smartest guy ever i saw by the way west and samantha got a chance to hang out with those guys uh last night at the game uh and west was the greatest you guys know the controversy about the minnesota vikings owner bought two million dollars in tickets from the secondary market and then they offered them to their season ticket holders for $200 a piece. They paid $1,000 per ticket. They offered them to their season ticket holders for $200 a piece. We'll talk about that later, but some people were really upset by that. The Lions were upset. They protested to the league saying that they thought that that was bad and that the Vikings should be punished. We'll talk about that, about the league and how they basically said no. The best part of the whole thing was Wes and Samantha got their tickets at a great price because the Vikings fans took that that price and they sold it back to the lions fans for 200 or whatever west got such a steal and that's why he was like i have to go so instead of paying you know uh instead of paying guido from uh from wherever who is charging a thousand dollars a ticket they paid you know

00:07:17 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 2:

200 bucks i think he said i think he said that they basically paid 250 a ticket which to me is

00:07:22 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 3:

crazy but apparently it's very cheap are you kidding me yeah and they had great seats why did nobody tell me this i'm so frustrated i cannot get tickets to any of these games and then something like this happens and nobody tells me go on ticketmaster and check it out

00:07:37 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 6:

y'all are fake friends no we need more minnesota people who don't want to come to detroit more yeah let's bust these guys but um but it was good it was it was fun uh we had a great time i do have to tell you that there's an etiquette to go into the game, and the etiquette is once you start high-fiving, you've got to continue to high-five. I guess I was not doing it. The guy that was sitting behind us, Kev, he was punching my back. He was pissed. When the Lions would do something great, like when they would get a sack, like when they got to Darnold, or when Alex Anzalone made an amazing tackle, that guy was so great down the field, our whole section, everybody would high-five each other, and Kev kind of started it. Kev's a hard high-fiver wheel. You got to. If it's not,

00:08:21 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 7:

if you don't hurt afterwards, then I didn't mean it. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You say you don't mean to hit these buttons, but I think you're hitting

00:08:29 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 6:

these on purpose. That was just a Freudian slip. I wanted to hit this one. There you go. That's what I wanted to do. So, yeah, the guy behind me got upset a couple times because I would forget. I got so nervous. There was a part of that game. I mean, it was what? It was the beginning. Nine to ten. Yeah, I was going to say, yeah. And then we held them in the second half.

00:08:52 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 7:

When the streamers fell down, being in that arena last night or that field or whatever you want to call it.

00:08:58 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 2:

You were streamers and confetti.

00:08:59 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 7:

Bruh, it felt like a movie. Like you were living in a moment that is unforgettable. I mean, many people said it leading up to the game that this may possibly be the most important regular season game in the history of our franchise. And with everything on the line, what the number one seed means, the way that our season has gone with people falling down and getting hurt and we even had somebody fall down last night. A couple of times it got scary. But to win that game the way that we wanted. Yeah. The Lions way. Yeah. And to see the Vikings try to pretend to be Lions by going out on fourth and losing every single time.

00:09:32 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 4:

How bad you're not. Bruh. And how, oh man, to watch a quarterback choke that bad though. Bruh. It was, I felt bad. At a certain point, the first half was a great game. Like genuinely, it was closer than you wanted it to be, but you were like, this is going to be better than the Super Bowl. Like, this is going to be a fantastic game. And then the second half, but watching that quarterback choke the whole time, at a certain point, you're like, this is, this is bad.

00:09:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 7:

One of the things you said, Mojo, was like, Darnold.

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 2:

has to have a game where he shows who he's been the entire career that he's had,

00:10:05 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 4:

which is not a great quarterback. Right. It happened. J.J. McCarthy really sealed that starting position next year.

00:10:10 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. They're talking about getting rid of that guy. I mean, here we are. By the way, welcome to the 97-1. Thank you.

00:10:16 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 4:

Hey, J.J. McCarthy was a Wolverine, though.

00:10:19 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 2:

So, I mean, he was here. I told this to Wes. I said to Wes, I will never forget taking Joey to see the Pistons win the 0-4 NBA Finals and see them win the championship against the Lakers and stuff. And I said, going to that game last night, if we win, this is right before the game, I go, you will forever be with Samantha, and you will look at her when she's a grown woman with kids and stuff, and you're hanging out with your grandkids and Shannon's grandkids. I want to see her as a grandma.

00:10:55 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 3:

Very, very long time from now.

00:10:57 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 2:

And you'll go, it's like that Chevy commercial, you know, where they take the dad, you know, or the mom and the rider, and you'll look and you'll go, honey, do you remember when we, you know.

00:11:08 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I hated that commercial.

00:11:09 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 2:

I loved it. I cried like a baby.

00:11:11 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 4:

Niagara Falls. Frankie Angel.

00:11:13 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 2:

Just think of Shannon being a grandma, though. That's all you got to think about. Let's not start 2025 with that. Shandy Belgrini. It'll be Granny Shandy now. Would she sound anything like this? Hold on. Wait, Freddie. Yeah. Yeah. All right. We are going to begin the show here. What's up, Regina? How you doing? It's Mojo in the morning. Hey, good morning, you guys. Welcome back. Good morning. How are you?

00:11:47 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 1:

I'm awesome after that game. I'm not even tired. I could barely sleep afterwards. It was such an exciting game. I know.

00:11:54 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 2:

Let's talk to you at 9.04 this morning. That's when it will hit.

00:11:59 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 1:

Right, right. But, yeah, no, we missed you guys while you were gone.

00:12:02 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 2:

Oh, thank you. Regina, what do you do? What kind of work do you do?

00:12:06 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 1:

I work, I'm a dialysis technician. So I'm, like, setting up for the morning. I got, like, about 30 minutes before the patients come in.

00:12:14 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 2:

Are you the person that actually takes blood or does any of that stuff? Like, you're going to be sticking people with needles soon?

00:12:19 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yep, I'm sticking people with needles. I got my coffee in my system. Oh, my God.

00:12:25 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 4:

Get another, please. Get another.

00:12:26 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Well, thank you for doing what you do, and I hope that we keep you awake so that you can hit the vein, okay?

00:12:34 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 1:

Awesome, awesome. Excuse me?

00:12:36 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Love you guys. We're already starting off. If you know what I mean. All right. What's up, Carol? Hi, it's Mojo in the morning, back from vacation. Hi, guys.

and SZA happening at Ford Field. Text to win, text squabble, S-Q-U-A-B-B-L-E. Text that right now to 95500, squabble, S-Q-U-A-B-B-L-E to 95500, standard text and data rates to apply, and you have a chance to win tickets to go and see that show, which, by the way, is one of the, I think, three biggest shows that are coming to town. Tate McRae sold out. And then that Post Malone jelly roll also at Ford Field is going to be a huge show. So good luck to you. Mojo in the mornings, Dirty on the 30. All right, Shannon with What's Trending in the Dirty on the 30. Shannon, hi.

00:20:43 - 00:20:55 | Speaker 2:

Hi. Oh, hello. Speaking of high, NFC North champions for the second year in a row. We've already talked to Lions a little bit this morning, but I want to play you this clip of Dan Campbell talking to the guys in the locker room after the game.

00:20:58 - 00:21:20 | Speaker 3:

You guys look like you remember who the f*** you are. Let's go! That's a hell of a win, guys. All I can think about is, man, we've been forced in this stuff now. This has been three years in the making. Some of it four. Like, that just doesn't happen. You've got to work through it, grind through it, and go through the downs to get to the ups of where we're at. Division winners, back-to-back seasons, and the number one season.

00:21:21 - 00:22:07 | Speaker 2:

The victory coffee for him, for sure, this morning. If you follow him on Instagram, you know what I'm talking about. Some injury updates, though. So Terry and Arnold left yesterday's victory over the Vikings with a foot injury. But he said he expects to play when the Lions return to the field in two weeks for their playoff opener. He told the Detroit Free Press, specifically in the locker room after the game, I'm playing. I'll be there. And then Coach Campbell did mention after the game that x-rays on Arnold's foot were negative. So there's that. And then David Montgomery, he's been out since week 15 with an MCL injury in his left knee. NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark reported yesterday that he went through his first full workout on Saturday and hinted that he will be back also for that playoff. Let's go.

00:22:07 - 00:22:34 | Speaker 5:

I mean, you saw what Alex Anzalone did to this team. I mean, it turned a defense that a week ago when they were playing the 49ers looked like Swiss cheese. Yeah. It turned him into the best defense in the league. You bring back your great running back, How about the fact that Gibbs set a franchise record last night for the amount of touchdowns ever in the history of the Lions with all the years of Barry? Yeah. That's amazing.

00:22:35 - 00:22:59 | Speaker 2:

By the way, worth noting in other NFL Dirty, I saw that the New England Patriots fired their coach, Jared Mayo, yesterday after just, was it just one season? Oh, one season. Same like the Belichick had last year, too. So, yeah, I mean, now we begin another reboot for that franchise just a year after it parted ways with Bill Belichick. I know Robert Kraft said he is going to discuss the move in a press conference that's going to be held at some point today.

00:22:59 - 00:23:11 | Speaker 5:

Did you also see some of the other big news, too? Did you see that Terry Kell, who plays for Miami, told the media yesterday he's done. He's not going to play anymore.

00:23:11 - 00:23:27 | Speaker 1:

I'm out, bro. You know, so it was great playing here, but, you know, at the end of the day, bro, I got to do what's best for, you know, for my career and, you know, what's best. Because I'm too much of a competitor to be, you know, just.

00:23:28 - 00:23:29 | Speaker 5:

Is he a problem?

00:23:30 - 00:23:43 | Speaker 4:

I don't think he's a problem. He is a competitor. He's used to having success with a championship that he won with Kansas City. And his quarterback is Tua. And if your quarterback can't play, then you can't catch the ball. Did he leave Kansas City on his own?

00:23:43 - 00:23:43 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:23:43 - 00:23:45 | Speaker 4:

He wanted to go back home in Miami and play.

00:23:45 - 00:23:51 | Speaker 5:

Okay. All right. Well, you know what? We'll take him with the Lions. We got a lot of receivers, but we'll take more.

00:23:51 - 00:23:55 | Speaker 2:

For our Canadian listeners, some big political dirty this morning. Prime Minister.

00:23:55 - 00:23:58 | Speaker 5:

You didn't tell me. I was going to. Let me get my name. We can't.

00:23:58 - 00:24:00 | Speaker 2:

Megan could sing it, too. She knows it.

00:24:00 - 00:24:06 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Canada, our home and native land.

00:24:07 - 00:24:23 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to have people that are going to be very mad at me for saying this, but I think the Canadian national anthem is better than our anthem. It is. No, it is. It is. It's so good. It's such a great. When I go to Red Wings games and they play a team from Canada. Yeah. Oh, my God.

00:24:23 - 00:24:24 | Speaker 4:

How dare you all.

00:24:25 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 2:

Their Tim Horan's tastes better than ours, too. Oh, Tim Horan's is so good up there. It's so different. It is. It's good here. All right. Well, Justin Trudeau likely to announce his resignation this week. Actually, maybe as early as today amid some growing pressure from his own party's lawmakers just weeks before the inauguration of Donald Trump, who has vowed to impose some pretty steep tariffs and all imports from Canada. So Trudeau reportedly wants to make the announcement before his party's big national caucus meeting that's going down on Wednesday to avoid it looking like he was forced.

00:25:00 - 00:25:07 | Speaker 4:

We're stout, but a lot of his party's lawmakers have called for him both publicly and privately to resign. So this is, like, not a secret.

00:25:08 - 00:25:52 | Speaker 2:

Are they going to become a state, too? Have you heard those? Trump basically said that we will take you as a state if you would like to be a state. And then they wanted to make Wayne Gretzky the governor of... Is that true? I wonder if Wayne Gretzky could win as prime minister, though. Like, is there anybody that has a bigger name in Canada than Wayne Gretzky? Would that be like, well, Drake, but A minor. I don't think Drake is bigger. I will tell you this, though. It's funny. You think about it. We elected the guy from The Apprentice. But could you imagine if all of a sudden this becomes like the thing that all these. I mean, Schwarzenegger got in. I was just going to say that.

00:25:52 - 00:26:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Some super sad, dirty indie filmmaker Jeff Baina, who was married to actress Aubrey Plaza, was found dead in their L.A. home on Friday. Oh, my God. I know he died by suicide. He was just 47 years old. I won't get into the details, but, yeah, really tragic story. And lastly, a Hooters waitress tried to flirt her way out of a DUI. Body cam footage shows Sophia Gabrielle, she's a Sarasota, Florida Hooters waitress, trying her best to avoid being arrested.

00:26:23 - 00:26:39 | Speaker 5:

We're going to make out here. We're going to make out here. No, we are not. Turn off the lights. Wait, stop right there. Turn off the lights. We're going to make out. Wait, wait, stay right there. Oh, it's my bed. It's my bed. I got to pee, bro. I know. I got to pee as well. You got to pee, bro.

00:26:39 - 00:26:45 | Speaker 2:

I got to pee. Oh, my God. Okay, do you want to try this first exercise for me?

00:26:45 - 00:26:50 | Speaker 6:

I will do anything for you, Daddy. Oh, oh, oh, Daddy, can't do this.

00:26:50 - 00:26:51 | Speaker 5:

Can you put your feet together?

00:26:52 - 00:26:53 | Speaker 6:

I'll put my feet together.

00:26:53 - 00:26:55 | Speaker 5:

And your hands side to your side.

00:26:55 - 00:26:56 | Speaker 6:

Whatever you say, Daddy.

00:26:56 - 00:26:58 | Speaker 5:

Oh! I'll put my hand on my hip.

00:26:59 - 00:27:20 | Speaker 4:

You guys, it gets so bad and so inappropriate, I couldn't play anymore. But she tries to get his cell phone number. I mean, he declined her advances, obviously. She was cuffed and loaded into the cop car after refusing to finish the sobriety test. She later addressed this on her TikTok, and she just simply captioned the video, Uber is cheaper, people.

00:27:20 - 00:27:31 | Speaker 5:

Have I had two margaritas tonight? Yes, I have. Question. Is this a good topic or a bad topic? I am, what did we say? Oh, comfortably poor.

00:27:33 - 00:27:36 | Speaker 2:

Who's drunker? The Hooters waitress or Megan?

00:27:36 - 00:27:45 | Speaker 5:

Bro, this is... I thought this wasn't the one that was the same thing. And I'd like to explain. She was not driving. I still need a savings account.

00:27:45 - 00:27:46 | Unknown:

Comfortably poor.

00:27:47 - 00:27:52 | Speaker 5:

It was me saying, I can't afford to do anything, but I can afford my bills. I'm comfortably poor.

00:27:52 - 00:27:54 | Speaker 2:

When she said that, I was like, bro, Megan says that.

00:27:55 - 00:28:00 | Speaker 4:

00:29:08 - 00:29:14 | Speaker 2:

Wait, he's in the elevator, Trey. What does that mean? Is that a sexual reference, like you go up and down, or what is the story? What is going on?

00:29:14 - 00:29:18 | Speaker 3:

Three great stations, one stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live. Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning show. Back from our holiday break. Hope you guys had the absolute best Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, whatever you celebrate. If you don't celebrate, hopefully you enjoyed whatever you did. And Happy New Year to you. I want to do like a little update on a couple of stories this morning since today is our first live show back. There's some things that we talked about prior to going away for vacation, and I wanted to kind of get an update on them. And I don't know if there's going to be positive updates or it's going to be a sad update. Who knows? This might be a touching situation or it might be one of those situations that's funny and crazy. But I want to start with you, Shannon. you were going to visit your husband Wes's family in Canada and you did a topic prior to us going on vacation about how he had some family drama and there were family members that were not going to go in this be in the same room right I think we were going to have separate Christmases basically

00:36:18 - 00:36:56 | Speaker 1:

or boxing days because that's what we're celebrating um and we weren't even sure if we were going to go in the first place because Wes was like I don't want to be miserable the whole time this is a lot of driving for us and it's not on me like my family my siblings need to figure their stuff out um before we go and we we drive all over canada to to have you know two different celebrations so it was his brother not talking to one of his sisters and they hadn't talked in a it was almost two years at this point to the point that his brother didn't even come to our wedding because he knew his sister was going to be there I mean it was bad they did it was

00:36:56 - 00:37:08 | Speaker 2:

really bad they didn't like each which is wild because there are some family members that I don't like but my brothers and sisters are my brothers and sisters it's hard not to like your brothers and sisters so we have brothers and sisters I mean it depends on what happened though

00:37:08 - 00:37:38 | Speaker 1:

it could have been it's private to them I don't want to get into what caused them to not speak but we decided we were gonna go to Toronto they all live in in different suburbs of Toronto we decided to make it a little bit of a vacation for ourselves and we stayed in a hotel in Toronto just in case like spit hit the fan and then we at least could enjoy the city because normally we stay out in the suburbs. We get different hotels by their homes. Would it look like you're

00:37:38 - 00:37:40 | Speaker 2:

picking sides too if you chose to stay

00:37:40 - 00:37:44 | Speaker 1:

at once over another? Yeah, 100%. We were so careful about how we did it. And then you have to be careful

00:37:44 - 00:37:49 | Speaker 2:

because then you'd get brought into the conversation and the drama and I know Wes is a peacemaker, right?

00:37:49 - 00:37:53 | Speaker 1:

Which he did not want to happen. So we...

00:37:53 - 00:37:55 | Speaker 2:

Quick question real quick before you tell us what's going on.

00:37:55 - 00:37:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:37:55 - 00:37:57 | Speaker 2:

They don't celebrate Christmas there? They call it Boxing Day?

00:37:58 - 00:37:58 | Speaker 1:

They do, but we...

00:37:58 - 00:37:59 | Speaker 2:

What is Boxing Day?

00:37:59 - 00:38:02 | Speaker 1:

The day after Christmas. The day after Christmas. So we go on the 26th.

00:38:02 - 00:38:06 | Speaker 2:

Does that have to do with boxes of gifts? So it's not like they're actually fighting with each other? No.

00:38:06 - 00:38:11 | Speaker 1:

Because this would be appropriate for what is going on here right now.

00:38:11 - 00:38:13 | Speaker 2:

They should actually be doing that.

00:38:13 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 1:

And there were no physical obstacles. This was just not talking. It's not Santa Claus. It's not King. We get to Canada, we check into our hotel, we drive a little ways to his sister's house for the first celebration. And this is the sister that is part of this standoff, right? So we knew who we were going to see that night. We were going to spend time with his one sister and her family and maybe one or two of Wes's friends. And so we get in the door, I pour myself a glass of wine, we sit down, we get ready for dinner because we had ordered Chinese, we were waiting for the Chinese to arrive. The doorbell rings, somebody goes to answer the door, and the rest of us are staying in the kitchen, and in walks Wes's brother. Wow. Totally unannounced to anybody. And he comes in and his sister sees him and immediately gets very upset and starts to cry and walks out of the room. How did he know that this was going on? Well, he knew because the rest of the siblings were there. Okay. And so it is complete silence as he's standing there. He walks in. I'm the idiot that goes. Because I'm like so shocked that he's there. and after a while his sister comes back in and he looked at her and said I love you this is dumb wow it's over with we're not looking into the past we are only looking forward and he grabbed her hand and said I love you big of him and for sure and they gave each other a hug and that was that they hung out They sat on the couch in a corner of the living room.

00:40:00 - 00:40:05 | Speaker 3:

and just, like, caught up all night long. I mean, it was, Wes was a dang mess. They cut each other all night? Caught up.

00:40:05 - 00:40:07 | Speaker 2:

Oh, caught up. They said caught up.

00:40:07 - 00:40:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so it was good. It was, I texted you guys. I was like, you guys. Yeah, that's incredible. Guess who just showed up at the door? It was, like, a Hallmark movie. That's fair. He just came in. Nobody knew he was coming. Yep. It was bad at first for about 10 minutes, and then it was good.

00:40:21 - 00:40:28 | Speaker 2:

And Wes had not had any communication with her, like, the brother to say, hey, come on, you should just come here, or the sister do this?

00:40:28 - 00:40:31 | Speaker 3:

Well, everybody has been trying to do that for years.

00:40:32 - 00:40:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:40:32 - 00:40:57 | Speaker 3:

Like, just come. Like, mom, you know, their mom has passed. They're like, mom would hate that this, what they say, mom, because they're very Scottish. Mom would hate this. To not see us all together for holidays and weddings, and so something clicked, and they were all together. How do Scottish people talk? He's like, I bloody missed you. Dude, some of his family, like his nana, who passed away last year around this time, I couldn't even understand her.

00:40:57 - 00:41:05 | Speaker 2:

that's how heavy her accent it was yeah so this is like really this truly is an awesome thing i

00:41:05 - 00:41:10 | Speaker 3:

mean it's i i mean it was it was a beautiful moment that's a god that's a god moment because

00:41:10 - 00:41:36 | Speaker 2:

i gotta tell you something that there's some times where you see something like this pull a family apart and it to me seems like if it wasn't for the holidays like if this was fourth of july or whenever they celebrate in canada yeah if this was like something like that like a summertime celebration would that have brought them together or was it that it's the christmas season and it obviously meant something to wes's mom well yeah and even crazier was the

00:41:36 - 00:41:47 | Speaker 3:

next day was the was the celebration number two that we were going to go to to appease hit so everybody showed up to that too yeah so two days in a row the all four siblings were

00:41:47 - 00:42:00 | Speaker 2:

together it was really cool did it make you guys wanna like because i know that you know initially It was, all right, we're going to go stay in the hotel. We'll make it a vacation. We won't deal with this. Did it make you guys go, all right, we got to like all now get together? No, we stayed in the hotel. No, you stayed in the hotel.

00:42:01 - 00:42:03 | Speaker 1:

No sleepovers. We were not budging.

00:42:03 - 00:42:06 | Speaker 3:

We were not budging from that hotel.

00:42:07 - 00:42:09 | Speaker 2:

We paid big money for this hotel.

00:42:09 - 00:42:11 | Speaker 3:

It was beautiful, except we're staying at the hotel.

00:42:13 - 00:42:19 | Speaker 2:

That's great, Shannon. By the way, to Wes's brother, and I don't know, do they ever, do they know what we do? Or do they know what you do?

00:42:20 - 00:42:23 | Speaker 3:

Yes, but they really don't. They really don't listen.

00:42:23 - 00:42:58 | Speaker 2:

Did you say, did you tell them that you talked about this on the radio? So you didn't say any, oh, because you didn't want them to like know they were talking. But if he ever does come across this, great job, man. And you know what, to his sister, awesome in accepting that. Because it's, you know, I don't know what their situation was and what this grievance was about. But, you know, there's got to be two sides to be able to pull together. And I will bet you guys that your mom was dancing in heaven, enjoying every single moment of that. Drinking scotch, probably. I don't know. Do they drink scotch in Scotland?

00:42:58 - 00:43:02 | Speaker 3:

I don't know what they, I mean, they were all drinking mine. I would think, right? It's called scotch.

00:43:03 - 00:43:19 | Speaker 1:

See, you bring up a really interesting point. Because I think in most cases where there is a rift or there are grievances, deep down, both parties want to put that aside. And I would say more often than not, the thing can't be that big. the love i feel like the love is stronger than hate and anytime if you lean in that direction

00:43:19 - 00:43:58 | Speaker 2:

all right yeah i want i want more feel good because this is like almost like tell me something good how did the holidays make you guys your you and your family or you and a person that you were not talking to how did it bring you guys together because i think that the holidays sometimes does one of two things it pulls you apart or it brings you in this case together and hopefully it's the latter but i do think that sometimes it becomes like the spirit of maybe the season makes you go you know what i haven't talked to somebody in such a long time that we had a last disagreement with and i to me i like that that about it like i think that that's i think that's a beautiful thing i also

00:43:58 - 00:44:38 | Speaker 3:

got to meet wes's childhood best friend for the first time tell us while we're waiting to get calls this dude i did not think existed i thought west he was like an invisible friend that wes talked about wildman i was like i've never met him his name is jason wildman and they call him wildman but like i wasn't around when he came to town to visit like once or twice he didn't come to our wedding he's like a very um like blue collar guy and so if he can pick up a shift at work and get overtime he does and that's very important to him and i understand that but so i've never our paths have just never crossed i finally got to meet him and i'm like you are real I will feel that way when we finally meet the woman that Mojo was in love with in high school

00:44:38 - 00:44:38 | Speaker 1:

I'm sorry

00:44:38 - 00:44:57 | Speaker 2:

Or the lovable cheerleader That's what I mean You guys make fun of me Both AI Nancy and Wildman and I used to hang out Did he have any crazy stories about Wess?

00:44:57 - 00:45:29 | Speaker 3:

Oh tons, but he walked through the door and I was like, ooh, dang Thank you.

00:45:00 - 00:46:18 | Speaker 1:

He's real cute. He is. He's very cute. Here's a, here's a texter. I'll cry if I tell this story, but my dad and I haven't talked since my mom passed away 10 years ago. I called him because he was going to be spending Christmas by himself. We ended up spending the entire week together. That's awesome. That's, that's cool. And it's just the, the thought of that. And then a bunch of callers here, 586 says too many tears on a Monday morning. I'm crying, listening to Shannon. And then another person here that said, that story is just so sweet. I don't have a story to tell like it, but that is so sweet. That is, you know, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, or text 95500. I mean, one story that I would love if we, I mean, you know, maybe I can segue into this. And actually, it may not be a bad time to segue into it now because we're waiting on calls and stuff. But Kev had that moment. The holidays brought him and Josiah's mom together. Yeah, man. And they spent the night together. No, the three of you guys. I have been waiting to hear how this went. It was the night before Christmas. And all through the house, dad and mom were finally there with Josiah.

00:46:19 - 00:47:18 | Speaker 2:

Josiah has never had the opportunity to wake up on Christmas Day and see both of his mom and dad in the same room. Ever, right? Ever, ever since birth. He's always had it to where he would have to come over my house later where I would have to spend Christmas Eve with him and we would open up presents. But we had to put our childish ways aside, quit being selfish, quit being petty, quit making it about us and really say, you know what, let's do this for Josiah. and not have any out influences, no other relationship influences, nobody else, just our minds making our decisions. And we say, you know, forget it. Jazz, can I come over? And she was like, yeah, sure. No pushback from her. I went over. We played games. She made some dog-ass chili. Like, it was a great time, man. Where'd you sleep? Where'd you sleep? I slept on the couch. Slept on the couch. She slept in her room. Joe slept in. You know, everything was good. I didn't see no nipples, no nipples. No grabbing. I wasn't going to ask that.

00:47:18 - 00:47:18 | Unknown:

It's okay.

00:47:21 - 00:47:37 | Speaker 2:

Nipples were not part of my question for this topic. Just in case. Wait, did you guys drink the night before? I believe she's sober. Okay. Yeah, so she's not drinking. She's on a journey right now. She has been for the last two years. That's great. Yeah, for real.

00:47:37 - 00:47:46 | Speaker 1:

So, okay, because if alcohol was involved, who knows what would happen. You get a little alcohol on Kevin, he starts humping my leg, man.

00:47:46 - 00:48:05 | Speaker 2:

That has never happened. But look, so here's the thing. So Josiah was so, like, you can just tell how, not necessarily how jittery he was, but how, like, excited he was. You know, kids get excited, start running all over the place, start talking to me. He was so happy that we were doing this. He wanted to do a group hug and all of that. So for New Year's Eve.

00:48:05 - 00:48:07 | Speaker 1:

Wait, what do you guys do when you do a group hug?

00:48:08 - 00:48:25 | Speaker 2:

It's a little awkward at first. It's kind of like, do you lean into it? I mean, we don't have any physical interaction, his mother and I. Like, we're not, like, physical beat. Like, we don't hug each other, kiss each other on the cheek, anything like that. So it is a little weird to, like, okay, let's do the hug. But we don't say no or anything like that.

00:48:25 - 00:48:27 | Speaker 1:

How long were you in a relationship with her before Joe started?

00:48:27 - 00:48:29 | Speaker 2:

I don't think we were ever in a relationship.

00:48:29 - 00:48:48 | Speaker 1:

We was just smashing. Oh, okay. Yeah. So that's, okay. So, because that is, you know, it's funny. It's one of those things where I've always wondered if there was, like, a relationship there that, And I guess, obviously, there was a great relationship, but it was the night that Josiah was, or day.

00:48:49 - 00:48:53 | Speaker 2:

The back of a car? Where was it? It could have been. My grand pre-duncing some things.

00:48:54 - 00:48:54 | Speaker 1:

Really?

00:48:54 - 00:49:16 | Speaker 2:

But look, an amazing point to that, I said, you know, because she had Josiah Christmas Eve, technically, and I was supposed to have him Christmas Day, and then she would have had him New Year's Eve. And I said, you know what? Let's bring in New Year's Eve the same way that we brought in Christmas Eve. Like, this time you come over to my place. Wait. And come over and let's count down together and have Josiah. Like, it was so bad.

00:49:16 - 00:49:18 | Speaker 1:

Did she go home then afterwards or stay the night?

00:49:18 - 00:49:19 | Speaker 2:

She slept on the couch and then left in the morning.

00:49:20 - 00:49:33 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Good for you guys. I love hearing that. That is actually really cool. So do you think Josiah gets it that you guys are, this is not you guys. Trying to get back to you. Trying to get back. Because I know that there was that thought that he's had as a kid.

00:49:33 - 00:49:56 | Speaker 2:

And I feel like I've done a great job, and I'm sure she has as well. And collectively, I think we may have touched it, but having like. you know gone in depth with the conversation that this is what we're just trying to do for Josiah and not that we're trying to make a relationship but with children you never know what's in the back of their mind does he know that you guys were never like really in a relationship I believe he does okay I try to talk to Josiah like I'm talking to y'all like he knows

00:49:56 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 1:

as a kid I wonder if that would matter to you uh

00:50:00 - 00:50:24 | Speaker 4:

Like, I wonder if that would make you go, oh, so you were just basically the hookup friends or something like that. I don't know. But I think at this point right now, you're his mom and – or you're his dad and Jasmine is – No, you're his mom. It's a big vacation for you. Hold on. Misfit Nicole, this is a lot of – this is a lot of emotional stuff, recaps of our holidays. What's going on, Nicole?

00:50:25 - 00:50:28 | Speaker 3:

Yes, me. Happy New Year, everyone. Happy New Year.

00:50:29 - 00:50:29 | Speaker 4:

What's happening?

00:50:30 - 00:50:44 | Speaker 2:

So listen I was listening And I was driving to work And I was listening to Kevin's story And I think it's a great example Of co-parenting But The nosiness in me was like If you don't pull a Nelly And spin the block

00:50:44 - 00:50:50 | Speaker 4:

Say that again Say that again Say that again You said it in your

00:50:50 - 00:50:55 | Speaker 3:

I said would you pull a Nelly And spin the block

00:50:55 - 00:50:56 | Speaker 4:

Would he pull a Nelly

00:50:56 - 00:51:08 | Speaker 5:

Nelly and Ashanti Like how they got back together Oh, I'm a never say I'm a never say never type of person. But it's like basically never. Yeah, basically.

00:51:09 - 00:51:10 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:51:13 - 00:51:19 | Speaker 3:

I love that everybody's so sad. Hold on.

00:51:19 - 00:51:34 | Speaker 4:

248 says, what happened to Kev's fiance? In all fairness, you and Sherelle were never engaged. You talked about getting engaged, but you guys, just to recap people, because people are like going, wait, is Kev stepping out right now?

00:51:34 - 00:51:46 | Speaker 5:

No, no, no, no, no. Sherelle and I have been broken up off air since about last June, and then I publicly addressed it, I think, later in the year, last year. But we are no longer together and haven't been for quite some time.

00:51:47 - 00:51:51 | Speaker 4:

And do you guys still talk?

00:51:51 - 00:51:57 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah, for sure. Shout out to Sherelle. She's a little mad at me, but, you know, it's understandable. Because of that?

00:51:57 - 00:51:58 | Speaker 3:

Because of the Christmas and New Year's thing?

00:51:58 - 00:52:07 | Speaker 5:

Just how, that for sure. I got some, man, when I said that on air, I got a crazy text message. But again, that's just emotion. Love Sherelle. Love Joran. Yeah, for sure.

00:52:08 - 00:52:08 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:52:09 - 00:52:09 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

00:52:11 - 00:52:16 | Speaker 5:

Are you dating, by the way? No, I'm on Tinder, though, and I match with my sister. We'll talk about that another day.

00:52:16 - 00:52:16 | Speaker 1:

Wait, what?

00:52:17 - 00:52:21 | Speaker 5:

Wait, how is that not a topic that we're talking about this morning?

00:52:21 - 00:52:24 | Speaker 1:

Are you just kidding? I'm talking about it now because you just did your topic.

00:52:24 - 00:52:27 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no, let's stay where we are. Let's stay where we are. All right, we'll go.

00:52:28 - 00:52:28 | Speaker 1:

Jesus.

00:52:31 - 00:52:36 | Speaker 4:

That's got to be Kev's second topic this morning. We'll bring that up as the next topic this morning.

00:52:36 - 00:52:42 | Speaker 1:

I never want to hear about me and my brother again because we've never matched on Tinder, all right? Never want to hear about it.

00:52:42 - 00:52:47 | Speaker 4:

You got never matched on Tinder, but what is it? It was Love Cupid or what was the app?

00:52:48 - 00:52:48 | Speaker 1:

No.

00:52:48 - 00:52:49 | Speaker 4:

No? Christian Singles.

00:52:49 - 00:53:16 | Speaker 1:

Christian Singles. today's weather forecast is holy crap oh holy cow it's so cold that my boobers freeze when i breathe this is mojo in the morning but baby it's cold outside got to go but baby it's cold outside colder than a witch's titty

00:53:16 - 00:53:22 | Speaker 3:

I wouldn't even call it cold. It's frigid.

00:53:23 - 00:53:23 | Speaker 4:

Frigid?

00:53:23 - 00:53:24 | Speaker 1:

Frigid.

00:53:24 - 00:53:32 | Speaker 4:

It's effing frigid. It's real bad. You know how cold it is out there? It is so cold outside.

00:53:32 - 00:53:37 | Speaker 3:

It's cold outside, but I'm still looking like a daddy because... Oh, never gets cold.

00:53:37 - 00:54:08 | Speaker 4:

It's so cold that I have had to run through, And I know this is bad for all those people that are conservationists that like to save on their gas and stuff. But gas actually has come down. I have run my car starter twice before I will go into my car. Twice? That's how cold it is. Yeah, because the first go around doesn't even get it warm enough. It used to be that. And listen, I drive a Chevy. It's a great car. But still, by the time I get in there after the first go around, I'm like, didn't I have my car starter on? What's going on? It is cold.

00:54:08 - 00:54:13 | Speaker 3:

I have my heat on high, which is 90 degrees all the time. All the time.

00:54:13 - 00:54:16 | Speaker 1:

It's set to 66. Oh, my gosh. 66? Are you nuts?

00:54:16 - 00:54:19 | Speaker 4:

You are the ice princess, aren't you?

00:54:19 - 00:54:22 | Speaker 5:

Love it. Does Coraline like it, or is she, like, just shivering?

00:54:22 - 00:54:27 | Speaker 4:

Coraline wears fur coats. Did you know that? I didn't know. She wears pajamas and sweatshirts around. Okay.

00:54:27 - 00:54:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. She has to.

00:54:29 - 00:54:30 | Speaker 4:

She's, like, all bone.

00:54:30 - 00:54:36 | Speaker 1:

She does that in, like, 70-degree weather, too. And then 72, she's dying.

00:54:36 - 00:54:46 | Speaker 4:

Haven't you gotten cold, though, from losing all this weight? I mean, I feel like you lose weight and you get, like, freezing. Your body temperature changes. You're still hot inside, aren't you?

00:54:46 - 00:54:50 | Speaker 1:

I love it. Love it, love it, love it, love it. Hate the summer. Love this.

00:54:50 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 4:

Well, I'm going to tell you this. We're getting you to Florida. And Florida is going through a little bit of a cold snap right now. But when you book this thing, I'll bet you they'll be out of it. Last couple of weeks.

00:55:00 - 00:55:12 | Speaker 3:

weeks we were qualifying you for a trip to miami and guess what we've got a grand prize winner from that trip that we've got to congratulate right now and that winner is ryan from sterling heights

00:55:12 - 00:55:20 | Speaker 2:

is a winner hello what's up good morning what's up ryan i'm freezing in my car

00:55:20 - 00:55:23 | Speaker 3:

What is the car reading?

00:55:25 - 00:55:35 | Speaker 2:

Let's see. The car is saying, it's not saying because I got my car play on, but it was saying it was like in the 20s when I first got it.

00:55:36 - 00:57:35 | Speaker 3:

Shannon said that the real fills are single-digit real fills right now. Should I get in the wings and stuff? Almost as cold as Minnesota's office. Right, exactly. Thank God. Hey, you got a trip to Miami. Congratulations to you. We're setting you up with a trip from Visit Florida. You'll be going down to Miami, where you'll be staying at the Hilton Cabana Miami Beach Resort. You will taste all the flavors of Miami with a walking food tour from Miami Culinary Tours and set sail to see spectacular coastal Miami sights on Millionaire's Row with a sightseeing tour aboard Island Queen Cruises. It's from our friends over at Visit Florida. I was down in Tampa over the break, and I got a chance to go to Clearwater and saw the hotel that we always put people up at from Visit Florida, and I was like, I got to tell you, this is a really nice place. It's right on the beach. It was crazy. So our Visit Florida people, when we do another Miami thing, I know we talked about this, but we should try to load up a plane and get a bunch of Mojo in the Morning listeners, and we should go on a little vacation with Ryan and everybody else that wins from listening to us on Channel SNX and Kiss. Now it is time for you to win a trip to Fort Myers. That's a beautiful place, too. Fort Myers, if you are the 95th caller, you will qualify. You'll be one of five qualifiers. 844 Mojo Live, you'll win a $50 cash card. And then if you win the grand prize, we're going to be qualifying you for a trip to Fort Myers for a three-consecutive night stay at the Margaritaville Beach Resort featuring a car rental, two guided kayak tours, kayak excursions, a one-day pass to Lovers Key State Park, and it's all courtesy of Florida's State Parks and Visit Florida. So 844-MOJO-LIVE. Good luck.

00:57:35 - 00:57:38 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:57:38 - 00:57:46 | Speaker 3:

Lots of good prizes to give away. We've got Tate McCray tickets coming up later this morning. Shannon's going to keep us up to date on what's going on in the dirty on the 30. What's up, Shannon?

00:57:46 - 00:57:52 | Speaker 1:

Did any of you guys happen to catch what Dan Campbell told Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell after we whooped him last night?

00:57:52 - 00:57:53 | Speaker 3:

No, what did he do?

00:57:54 - 00:57:59 | Speaker 1:

So they're like shaking hands and Coach Campbell goes, great job. I'll see you in two weeks.

00:58:00 - 00:58:00 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

00:58:01 - 00:58:16 | Speaker 1:

And very much a possibility that round three between the Vikings and the Lions will be happening in a couple of weeks. That's all that needs to happen, from the way I understand this, and please correct me if I'm wrong, because I very well could be wrong, is the Vikings, Eagles, and Bucs have to advance to the division round at the playoffs, right?

00:58:18 - 00:58:22 | Speaker 3:

Just say yes. No, I don't know. I don't know what you were just saying. What were you saying again?

00:58:22 - 00:58:24 | Speaker 1:

Well, if you weren't listening, then.

00:58:24 - 00:59:12 | Speaker 3:

No, I didn't. But say it again. Because next week is going to be, I know that the Rams, the bummer for the Vikings is that the Rams are actually pretty good right now. Matthew Stafford's got that team playing great. I did not want to lose last night because I felt like we possibly are not going to beat the Rams three times in a row. And so I was hoping that we didn't have to play them. So that they're going to play them. And then I know Tampa plays Washington. And then the Eagles are playing Green Bay. So this is and then we get to just sit and rest. Yeah. Which we need. I have that audio, by the way. I'm going to play that audio for you because I didn't have it initially. So here it is right now. I was stalling for the audio. Still stalling. Here's Dan. Here's Don. Don Comble.

00:59:13 - 00:59:20 | Speaker 2:

I'll see you in two weeks. Might see you in two weeks for a playoff rematch right back here.

00:59:21 - 00:59:51 | Speaker 3:

The Detroit Lions' best season ever ends with an exclamation point. Wait, is that locker room material? I'll see you in two weeks for the Rams. I'm sure Matt Stafford heard that. But do we have to play the Rams? Yeah, we play the winner. So I don't know if I like that idea. What would you rather want to see? No, I don't know if Dan Campbell saying that is a good thing to say because that is the locker room material for if the Rams beat the Vikings. They'll go, oh, yeah, you saw them in two weeks. Now you're going to see us in here.

00:59:52 - 00:59:56 | Speaker 2:

Is it just something nice to say to somebody you moved or asked to, though?

00:59:56 - 00:59:56 | Speaker 3:

I feel you.

00:59:56 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I feel like that was Dan Campbell being polite.

01:00:00 - 01:00:03 | Speaker 1:

But the Rams, you know, teams, they look for any reason. Yeah, true.

01:00:03 - 01:00:48 | Speaker 4:

Any extra juice. P.S., I know you probably heard this story, but you might not know if the action was legit or not. So the Vikings bought about 1,900 tickets to last night's game at Ford Field for roughly $1,000 a pop. The Vikings then offered the seats to their season ticket holders at as little as $200 a ticket. Now, the seats were clustered behind the Minnesota bench. The Lions, not super happy upon hearing that news. They checked with the league only to learn that the move was fully within the rules. So it was legit and totally legal. But not a lot of fans ended up buying those tickets. Well, Vikings fans, Lions fans did.

01:00:48 - 01:01:23 | Speaker 1:

I was listening to 97-1 the ticket on my way into the game. And I heard the two guys that were on going back and forth. One was, like, all upset about what the Vikings did. The other one said that was just being good to your, you know, your fans. I thought that was being good to your fans. Like, I know the people that were upset that they did it. Like, I thought that was actually pretty classy. And if I'm the Fords, take that same approach now with the way we travel. Spend a couple of million dollars and look great to your season ticket holders. And buy the tickets and sell them to them at a discounted price.

01:01:24 - 01:01:25 | Speaker 3:

I thought it was a great idea.

01:01:25 - 01:03:21 | Speaker 4:

Great marketing. Zendaya turned heads at the Golden Globes last night when she walked down the red carpet rocking a sparkling ring on, yes, that finger. The Challengers actress walked the red carpet solo, and she was wearing the most stunning Louis Vuitton gown. Oh, my God. She looked amazing. The color. I mean, always amazing. But on her left hand, Zendaya was sporting a diamond ring, sparking rumors that she is engaged to her boyfriend, Tom Holland. Now, I don't know if she is or not. All I know is she was wearing that ring. It looks like an engagement ring to me. But I do know that Dua Lipa is engaged. She is now a fiancé to actor Callum Turner. He got down on one knee for a romantic proposal over Christmas, which I know Mojo thinks is a cop-out, but whatever. Neither of them have confirmed the news. But I hate that this has taken over the Internet, too, amid the happy news of their engagement. Her ring. People are very underwhelmed with her ring. So, of course, Internet sleuths do some digging. They find out that it is the, uh, a 12, I don't even know how to say that word. Solitaire diamond engagement ring from Tiffany and company. It's not available anymore. It reportedly cost around $5,000 and people are saying that is the ugliest, cheapest ring I have ever seen. Or there's comments of like, that's it. Expected more, but at least she's happy. Like you can't even just be happy. You have to comment on the ring. What if it was like a family heirloom? Like you don't know. Exactly. Going back to the Globes real quick. The Brutalist, Emilia Perez, Shogun, Hax, and Baby Reindeer were some of the big winners this year. Brutalist, I know, Brutalist named Best Movie, Adrian Brody won for Best Actor in It, Jeremy Allen White earning Best Lead Actor in a TV Comedy Title for The Bear, Zoe Saldana won Best Supporting Actress for Emilia Perez, and Demi Moore won the Globe for Best Actress in a Movie, Musical, or Comedy for The Substance.

01:03:21 - 01:03:24 | Speaker 3:

30 years ago, I had a producer tell me that.

01:03:24 - 01:03:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's not it?

01:03:25 - 01:03:26 | Speaker 3:

No, play the first award one.

01:03:27 - 01:03:29 | Speaker 1:

First award. We're going to play the first award.

01:03:29 - 01:03:40 | Speaker 3:

I'm just in shock right now. I've been doing this a long time, like over 45 years. And this is the first time I've ever won anything as an actor.

01:03:41 - 01:03:42 | Speaker 1:

All right.

01:03:42 - 01:03:45 | Speaker 2:

First time ever. Insane. What?

01:03:46 - 01:03:47 | Speaker 1:

What was she in, though? I'm trying to think.

01:03:48 - 01:03:49 | Speaker 2:

Ghost. G.I. Jane.

01:03:50 - 01:03:51 | Speaker 1:

G.I. Jane.

01:03:51 - 01:03:56 | Speaker 4:

But, like, anything. Like, it didn't even have to be an academy. A few good men. She was in A Few Good Men, too. That was a good one. Really?

01:03:56 - 01:04:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Like, there was some... That is true, but she was a big name, too. Yeah, yeah.

01:04:01 - 01:04:03 | Speaker 4:

Comedian Nikki Glaser hosted the show, by the way.

01:04:03 - 01:04:20 | Speaker 2:

Well, before we start handing out awards, I do want to remind you, if you do lose tonight, please just keep in mind that the point of making art is not to win an award. The point of making art is to start a tequila brand so popular that you never have to make art again.

01:04:20 - 01:04:48 | Speaker 4:

And lastly, Speedos have been voted one of the sexiest items of clothing a guy can wear for 2025. What? I do not agree with this, but in a poll of 2,000 women asked to choose what they thought was going to be hot for 2025, the James Bond-style tuxedo came out on top, number one. A tailored suit came in number two, followed by a kilt with Speedos coming in at number four.

01:04:48 - 01:04:51 | Speaker 1:

Like the swimsuit Speedos? Uh-huh. The ones that they wear in the Olympics?

01:04:51 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 4:

And tell Scott Mick the Ryan shirts also made the cut coming in eighth place while cardigans took.

01:05:00 - 01:05:02 | Speaker 5:

the 10th spot. I do love

01:05:02 - 01:05:07 | Speaker 1:

a good card game. You want to know what's got to make up for Christmas? A Lions Hawaiian shirt. Yeah, Hawaii.

01:05:08 - 01:05:31 | Speaker 5:

I need to interrupt. I need to interrupt. We made a big mistake. We cannot make mistakes on this radio show, and it seems that we like to make mistakes whenever we talk sports because we're not a sports radio show, right? We made a mistake when it came to us talking about who the Lions will play. Misfit Victor would like to correct us on this.

01:05:31 - 01:05:31 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Vic?

01:05:31 - 01:05:32 | Speaker 5:

What's up, Victor?

01:05:33 - 01:05:34 | Speaker 7:

Hey, good morning. Happy New Year.

01:05:34 - 01:05:36 | Speaker 5:

Happy New Year, Victor.

01:05:36 - 01:05:40 | Speaker 7:

Weird that all the girls on the show would make a mistake when talking about sports.

01:05:41 - 01:05:45 | Speaker 5:

All the girls? Are you including Kevin and I on that, too?

01:05:45 - 01:05:46 | Speaker 4:

What are you saying, bro?

01:05:46 - 01:06:08 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Yeah, well, the playoffs work. After the first round, whoever is the lowest seed, the Lions will play them. So... Holy crap. If Minnesota wins and, you know, a number of seven seed or a six seed or whatever wins, then we play the lowest seed. We don't play Minnesota automatically.

01:06:08 - 01:06:25 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so it's not like how the brackets are in college basketball or whatever. They will reseed everything. So, say, for instance, the Philadelphia Eagles, I guess, are what, the second seed in the NFC? It will go to, okay, I get it now. All right.

01:06:25 - 01:06:32 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, you know why it's not like the college basketball brackets? Because it's not college basketball. Thank you.

01:06:32 - 01:06:35 | Speaker 4:

Victor, don't start this, bro. Way to start this.

01:06:35 - 01:06:41 | Speaker 7:

You guys are sick of talking about Speedos and Nikki Glaser's dress and stuff like that. Victor, you know what?

01:06:41 - 01:06:47 | Speaker 5:

Just for that, just for that, I'm putting you in the penalty box. I know it's a different sport. We're putting you in the penalty box.

01:06:48 - 01:06:52 | Speaker 7:

I'm surprised you haven't hung up on me yet. It's usually like eight seconds and you hang up on me. Goodbye.

01:06:52 - 01:06:55 | Speaker 6:

Lions coach Dan Campbell, do you think about Mojo in the morning a lot?

01:06:55 - 01:06:57 | Speaker 2:

That's all I think about, man.

01:06:57 - 01:06:59 | Speaker 6:

We hear you, Dan. We appreciate you listening to the show.

01:06:59 - 01:07:07 | Speaker 2:

That's all I can think about is you guys and how I set you up for the best possible advantage I can give you to have a season. I swear to you, man.

01:07:07 - 01:07:11 | Speaker 6:

Thank you, Dan. We just want to make sure you're not the same old Lions after all this is done.

01:07:11 - 01:07:12 | Speaker 2:

I just need you to trust me.

01:07:12 - 01:07:18 | Speaker 6:

That's all. Okay. We trust you. Please. After hearing today's show, Coach Campbell, do you have any advice for this show?

01:07:18 - 01:07:23 | Speaker 5:

Let's be better tomorrow. Oh, even he wants us to be better. Hold on. Dave, where were you sitting yesterday?

01:07:24 - 01:07:32 | Speaker 3:

We were in Section 125, which is right behind the Vikings bench, and we were completely surrounded by all the Vikings fans.

01:07:32 - 01:07:37 | Speaker 5:

Oh, so you were in that area where they bought the $2 million worth of seats, huh?

01:07:38 - 01:08:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I bought the tickets about three months ago. It was actually a Christmas present for my wife. It was her first Lions game she ever got to go to. Oh, cool. So we were surrounded, and, man, at the beginning of the game, They were just talking all kinds of crap about, you know, their school and how they were going to dominate and all this. And, you know, as the game went on, they just slowly deflated. And yeah, I actually took some pictures of it because by about seven minutes left in the game, we were surrounded by empty seats because they'd all.

01:08:11 - 01:08:16 | Speaker 1:

Can we say our fans, though, that school chant is a very cool team tradition.

01:08:17 - 01:08:19 | Speaker 5:

I don't know it because I've never.

01:08:19 - 01:08:22 | Speaker 1:

They go, they start out really slow, and they go, school.

01:08:23 - 01:08:27 | Speaker 4:

Oh. The entire arena was doing that last night. That's why.

01:08:27 - 01:08:34 | Speaker 1:

It gets faster and faster, but they start all of their home games with it. That's when they do that horn that goes, da-da-da-da. Yes.

01:08:34 - 01:08:36 | Speaker 5:

So we were mocking them when we were doing that.

01:08:36 - 01:08:40 | Speaker 1:

You were, but it is a great, like, team tradition. I'm not going to lie. That's a good chance.

01:08:40 - 01:08:51 | Speaker 5:

Hey, real quick, Kev's got to send to KP to post up on our story, Kevin taking pictures with Vikings fans who are dressed in their Vikings outfits.

01:08:52 - 01:08:53 | Speaker 4:

Is my guy still on the phone?

01:08:53 - 01:08:53 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, Dave is here.

01:08:53 - 01:09:01 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Dave, you mentioned that you bought those tickets for your wife for Christmas. Is that what she wanted? Or is that for you?

01:09:01 - 01:09:15 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she's been a huge NFL fan for years, and she just never got to see a game. She's originally from Carolina, but she's transplanted back to Michigan with me, and now she's a Lions fan with me. Love that. She's a keeper.

01:09:15 - 01:09:31 | Speaker 5:

go and he thought he thought he was busting you in a little thing it's kind of it's kind of like the guy you know that goes out and uh and buys like the car for his wife or look babe and i'm gonna put the bow on like the commercial but it's the car that i'm gonna be driving trx ram yeah

01:09:31 - 01:09:42 | Speaker 3:

hey thank you we both enjoyed him but she she's been wanting to go for for years so you know when this was a year to go and i when i bought him i had no idea that the game would come down to this But, man, what a game.

01:09:43 - 01:09:51 | Speaker 5:

Well, we appreciate you, buddy, for calling. Go Lions. It was an awesome game. We're all going to be a little tired today, but it's going to be so worth it. Shannon, I didn't let you cut.

01:09:51 - 01:09:57 | Speaker 2:

That's okay. Go ahead. Hopefully you know where to go now. If you need to catch up on the podcast, just go to the free iHeartRadio app, or you can check out my YouTube.

01:09:58 - 01:09:58 | Speaker 6:

Celebrity Dirt.

01:09:59 - 01:10:00 | Unknown:

Directly from the soul.

01:10:00 - 01:10:02 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:10:04 - 01:10:12 | Speaker 1:

All right, we're going to grab a winner. And Jennifer is a winner. You're now qualifier number one for a trip to Florida.

01:10:14 - 01:10:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. Seriously?

01:10:16 - 01:10:17 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, congratulations.

01:10:18 - 01:10:20 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh, thank you so much.

01:10:20 - 01:10:24 | Speaker 1:

Fort Myers is where this week's vacation is. You got a $50 cash card. Congratulations.

01:10:25 - 01:10:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh, thank you so much, guys. You have no idea. This is so exciting. Thank you.

01:10:30 - 01:11:19 | Speaker 1:

Listen, can I go on to mention this? We have more than 13 listeners in 2024. We got 15 listeners, which made us number one in 2024. Yay! Thank you. And it's because of you guys. And we hope that we can deliver what we delivered in 2024 to you guys in 2025. I think we can, and then some. And so thank you for listening. It's literally flattering that you guys like the show. So, yeah, as we were leaving Ford Field last night, it was so awesome to run into. And I ran into a bunch of them. I ran into the guy that owns the big boy up in Macomb. He and his wife. Yes, Jerry. Shout out to Jerry. And he said, you'll never remember who I am, but we remember who you are. And then there was a little guy that, oh, God, I forget the help. Now I don't remember his name. How do you say that? No, there was a little guy.

01:11:19 - 01:11:20 | Speaker 2:

So unnecessary.

01:11:21 - 01:12:19 | Speaker 1:

No, this was a little guy. He was like seven years old or eight years old. He was celebrating a birthday. Jerry's not a little guy. A young man. Jerry's got a good-looking wife. I guarantee you he's got a big package inside of that sucker. Oh, my God. And his wife looked very happy. She had a smile on her face leaving that Lions game. They were going home to make mad passionate big boy love. But this young guy was celebrating a birthday, and I can't remember what his name was, but I know he's another Eastside guy. And his mom was there, and I walked, and they were stopping, and I kind of got the feeling that they listened and so I stopped and I gave the kid, you know, like a hey, I heard it was your birthday because I heard mom talking about this and she's like, I don't know how you guys are going to be doing this tomorrow and I said, is today his first day back at school? And she's like, yeah, I go, this kid's not going home to sleep until one in the morning. The parking garages were insane last night. It took forever.

01:12:19 - 01:12:21 | Speaker 2:

Don't ask me how many energy drinks I've had today.

01:12:21 - 01:12:24 | Speaker 1:

Can you give a seven-year-old a Celsius? For sure.

01:12:25 - 01:12:31 | Speaker 2:

For sure. I mean, if they do it on Toddlers and Tierras for those little pageant girls. Oh, my God. The Pixie Stix? Yeah, dude.

01:12:31 - 01:12:41 | Speaker 1:

All right. Wait. Here's a question. I'm just going to throw this out there as a random. I want to ask any parents. Are there any parents that pack in their kids' lunches like Red Bull? Yeah.

01:12:41 - 01:12:45 | Speaker 2:

Screw when do we get a kid a cell phone? When do we give them energy drinks? Yeah.

01:12:45 - 01:13:07 | Speaker 1:

Are you the parent that gives your kid, like, the stuff that they shouldn't get? Like, do they get, you know, spicy, hot Cheetos and Celsius? Tents of cold brews on the way. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, my God. That's the other one, too. How old is it that your kid starts drinking a coffee from Starbucks or Tim Hortons?

01:13:07 - 01:13:08 | Speaker 2:

I was in high school. Were you? Yeah.

01:13:08 - 01:13:17 | Speaker 4:

Oh, well, Smith likes to have sips of my coffee. He gets like, it's called a steamer at Starbucks, which I don't think has coffee in it at all. Probably has caffeine or something.

01:13:18 - 01:13:20 | Speaker 1:

It's like the coffee version of a Shirley Temple.

01:13:20 - 01:13:23 | Speaker 4:

It's like a hot frappuccino. It's probably just milk. Is what it is.

01:13:24 - 01:13:24 | Speaker 1:

Is it? Yeah.

01:13:25 - 01:13:28 | Speaker 4:

But he does like coffee. He also likes champagne.

01:13:29 - 01:13:48 | Speaker 2:

He is my child. I remember starting to drink coffee with my mom and dad. Wow, I can't believe I said that word. I haven't said that word in a long time. When I was like six, but it was mostly milk. It was like a splash. A little splash. I think I was in college. I was in high school. When I had my first coffee. When I could start driving. I started drinking coffee regularly.

01:13:48 - 01:13:53 | Speaker 1:

I started drinking coffee at 50. I literally, like, two years ago or three years ago.

01:13:53 - 01:13:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I remember.

01:13:54 - 01:13:54 | Speaker 1:

I never drink.

01:13:54 - 01:13:55 | Speaker 2:

What did you do before that?

01:13:56 - 01:13:57 | Speaker 1:

Cocaine.

01:13:58 - 01:14:00 | Speaker 2:

You know what I have for breakfast?

01:14:00 - 01:14:05 | Speaker 1:

Cocaine. You know what I have for lunch? Cocaine. That's not powdered sugar. You don't see Emojo just rub his gums.

01:14:06 - 01:14:10 | Speaker 2:

Is that why your jaw is always so defined because it's clenched all the time?

01:14:11 - 01:14:17 | Speaker 1:

No, you know what my routine was? And people thought this was so weird because I would talk about it. I drank a gallon of water before we came into work.

01:14:17 - 01:14:18 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely not.

01:14:18 - 01:14:29 | Speaker 1:

I had a gallon of water because my morning pee would make me wake up. It would get me going. And for all the years that I started doing mornings, that's what I would drink. What's up, Sean? Hi.

01:14:30 - 01:14:35 | Speaker 3:

Hey, how you doing? My daughter's been drinking coffee ever since they was three years old. Really? Whoa.

01:14:36 - 01:14:40 | Speaker 1:

Like black or do they put a ton of cream and sugar in it?

01:14:40 - 01:14:58 | Speaker 3:

no she has about three creams and about uh one or two sweet loads and right now she's 12 oh my god how tall is she 5'9 yeah yeah did she sorry me 3'5 wait yeah does it stunt your growth

01:14:58 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 1:

like is she is she

01:15:00 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 4:

Is that true?

01:15:00 - 01:15:01 | Speaker 3:

I don't know.

01:15:01 - 01:15:11 | Speaker 4:

Well, actually, she's only like 5'2", and my other daughter was drinking coffee. She's like 5'3", 5'4". She could have been 5'8".

01:15:11 - 01:15:29 | Speaker 3:

Wow. That's crazy. That's pretty wild. 12-year-olds have been drinking since they were 3 years old, and they drink a stronger coffee than we do. Because I got to have, like, flavor in it. You know what I mean? Like, I got to do the whole Frappuccino thing, you know, to it. So, well, thank you.

01:15:29 - 01:15:31 | Speaker 4:

I have a curvy, and they always use me.

01:15:32 - 01:15:35 | Speaker 3:

That's amazing. How about vodka? What kind of vodka is she drinking in there?

01:15:36 - 01:15:38 | Speaker 1:

A little bit of Bailey's. What's up, Maddie?

01:15:38 - 01:15:38 | Speaker 3:

Hi.

01:15:40 - 01:15:53 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Hi, Maddie. So my son started drinking coffee when he was six, and he was drinking the Tim Hortons Double Double Alar. Oh, wow. That's like a real coffee. That is. Yeah.

01:15:54 - 01:15:55 | Speaker 3:

That kid's got hair on his chest and balls.

01:15:55 - 01:15:57 | Speaker 1:

Now I got him into decaf.

01:15:57 - 01:15:58 | Speaker 3:

Really?

01:15:58 - 01:15:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you ought to wean him off.

01:15:59 - 01:16:17 | Speaker 3:

I always find it funny when Luke used to be, because Luke would drink like when he was 15 years old. He would ask the waiter or waitress at the end of a, could I get an espresso? And I'm like, what? You're like 14 or 15 years old. What's up? Jennifer, how you doing?

01:16:18 - 01:16:23 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mojo. Hey, guys. How you guys doing? Good morning. Happy New Year.

01:16:23 - 01:16:24 | Speaker 3:

Happy New Year to you.

01:16:25 - 01:16:46 | Speaker 4:

Thanks. So my daughter is 11, and she is about 5, 6, And I give her Celsius, Takis, mostly snacks, some cookies. She doesn't have any nutritional benefits at our lunch. Mom of the year. Give it up. Three treats, Cheez-Its, some gum. And then she has some DeGeneres for afterwards.

01:16:46 - 01:16:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

01:16:47 - 01:16:56 | Speaker 1:

Okay, do you know that TikTok trend that's going on right now that's like, we listen and we don't judge? Yes, yes, yes. I feel like we should be saying this after every call.

01:16:56 - 01:17:02 | Speaker 4:

We listen and we don't judge. That's what my daughter told me to play that game. I'm like, no.

01:17:03 - 01:17:05 | Speaker 3:

What's a De Janeiro?

01:17:05 - 01:17:09 | Speaker 4:

Soul De Janeiro? It's like the, Megan has it. It's like a lotion. They have a spray. I thought she was trying.

01:17:10 - 01:17:11 | Speaker 1:

Body wash.

01:17:11 - 01:17:31 | Speaker 3:

It smells so good. I thought she was trying to say DiGiorno. Hello, for some pizza. Jennifer, Mom, do you ever get calls from school? Like, you know how the school lunch program, I think it was First Lady Obama was like really trying to make parents be more mindful of like what they're feeding their kids. Did you ever get calls from school?

01:17:32 - 01:17:38 | Speaker 4:

No, I haven't ever got a call about that, but I did get a call when I door dashed her or someone. And they told me I shouldn't do that anymore.

01:17:38 - 01:17:39 | Speaker 3:

What did you door dash her?

01:17:40 - 01:17:45 | Speaker 4:

At McDonald's, of course. I love it. Most schools won't let you door dash anymore, right?

01:17:45 - 01:17:52 | Speaker 3:

No. Okay. They don't like some guy in a Corolla. Randoms. Pulling up.

01:17:54 - 01:17:58 | Speaker 4:

Game, does he have to sign in like a parent? Hey, I'm here for Jamie.

01:17:59 - 01:18:17 | Speaker 2:

Maybe he didn't call his wife to check in while on your date, but something isn't right. Second date update is after 8 this morning on Mojo in the Morning. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:18:17 - 01:18:18 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

01:18:19 - 01:18:22 | Speaker 2:

Live. Mojo. Mojo.

01:18:22 - 01:19:04 | Speaker 3:

01:19:04 - 01:19:07 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my goodness. On Tinder.

01:19:08 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 3:

KP with the guy that she's dating who now we know who his name because she's been sending the flirty text to not him, but to our Zach, because his name is Zach. So she's got the wrong one getting all these text messages. And me with losing weight is hurting our marriage. And by the way, I'm going to talk about that topic, but also our We Don't Podcast, the podcast that Chelsea and I do, kicks off a new season today, our 50th episode in a new season, the third year of doing this podcast. So we kick it off. So we I did that and recorded that before I went to the Lions game. All right, it is Mojo in the morning. Got a lot of stuff to get to, prize-wise, too. Kevin Hart sold out tickets. Going to be at the Fox Theater. We're going to give you a chance to win tickets.

01:20:00 - 01:20:10 | Speaker 4:

tickets to that, and then Tate McCray tickets, too. All right, it is Mojo in the morning show. So I love that Megan calls it this because it sounds so like old school, but she says she went to a mixer.

01:20:11 - 01:20:11 | Speaker 1:

A little mixer.

01:20:12 - 01:20:13 | Speaker 4:

Is that what it is?

01:20:13 - 01:20:15 | Speaker 1:

Shake and not stir. You're a 30-year-old.

01:20:16 - 01:20:17 | Speaker 4:

They call them mixers?

01:20:17 - 01:20:23 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. Yes. What else would you call it? It was an event for single people to show up to.

01:20:23 - 01:20:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay.

01:20:24 - 01:20:26 | Speaker 1:

Where was this? Somewhere?

01:20:26 - 01:20:29 | Speaker 4:

I thought it was like I went to the club or I went to where?

01:20:30 - 01:20:36 | Speaker 2:

I mean, was it at, like, a restaurant, a bar, a banquet hall? I just didn't. Not a banquet hall.

01:20:37 - 01:20:39 | Speaker 1:

I'll tell sure it was, but I don't want to say.

01:20:39 - 01:20:43 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Is this, like, a regular thing at this place?

01:20:43 - 01:20:45 | Speaker 1:

They happen every couple of months.

01:20:45 - 01:20:45 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:20:46 - 01:23:15 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So, um. Oh, okay. Yeah. Okay. Okay. So, I was at this mixer. Now I feel stupid saying mixer. Why would you make fun of me? I don't know what else. This gathering of human beings. and um i we were going to be uh drinking a little bit so you kind of awkwardly go over and get a drink it's weird at those things right when you first show up and you're like uh what do i do it's the eighth grade dance where boys are on one side girls are on the other yeah so i grab a drink and i'm looking around and i gravitate towards girls right away and the girls were all dressed up and looking super cute so it's easy to go over and be like your hair looks amazing where did you get those shoes and I realized well you know I'm here to talk to people who are actually interested in dating me back and most of that wasn't the girls in the room so I uh walked over to a guy who was off in the corner standing alone and he was just sitting on his phone and I was like oh that's kind of sad let's go talk to him because a lot of people had paired up at that time and I was in a small group of like five people and I was like he's sitting alone I'll go talk to him so I go over and I start talking to him and I think things are going great and then I realize every time somebody walks by me that is a female he stops paying attention to our conversation and just checks her out and this happens once and I'm like well she was hot like I get it you know what I mean like the first time you're like all right me too let me take a quick peek let me let me see that booty walk away and then the second time it happens you're like come on and then the third time it happens i'm like what am i doing here what like i went out of my way because you were standing alone not making an effort to talk to anybody just a little bit of respect would be nice a little bit yeah so then i said or i didn't say this but i was in my head going f this and i left the conversation and started talking to somebody else and for the rest of the evening he stood alone and nobody went over and talked to him and i was like karma that's what you get bitch like how dare you you disrespectful mfer go go stand in the corner alone oh like i don't know what is going on with the people that i have been talking to lately but it's the constant checking of the phones or looking at other people like you don't have to be interested i'm not trying to learn your life giving you their undivided attention would drive me crazy and it's one thing if i approached you in a bar and you're not interested in this but you showed up to the mixer right saying i'm interested in meeting new people you know you know it's it's well it is the

01:23:15 - 01:23:26 | Speaker 4:

phones it's like honestly nobody can talk unless they're texting and it's crazy how that is um what would be this i was just thinking about this what if the guy was deaf like you're insane

01:23:26 - 01:23:37 | Speaker 3:

maybe here's the thing and i'll i'll try to frame it in this way because i feel like it makes sense first i want to ask a question when you are in these type of situations yeah do you always go

01:23:37 - 01:24:00 | Speaker 1:

for girls before guys i think it's easier to start the conversation by talking to a woman just to be like who are we checking out who are we interested in and then it's also easier to grab a guy you're interested into a group setting than just walking over to somebody and being like hi you know so it's kind of easier to be like what do you think about what we're talking about and

01:24:00 - 01:24:08 | Speaker 3:

bring them in this probably isn't the reason why but maybe he saw that you were talking to ladies first and was like, maybe she's not even really interested in it.

01:24:08 - 01:24:09 | Speaker 1:

See, I approached you.

01:24:09 - 01:24:45 | Speaker 2:

True, true. I think what he did was totally rude, and like I said, it would drive me nutty as well, but I do wonder, and I'm not defending what he did, but I do wonder if he's one of those people, and Mojo, you do this, by the way, who, when you're talking to somebody, they're constantly looking at what's going on behind you. Yeah. Look over the shoulder. You don't mean it to be rude. It is like a... It's my ADD. Exactly. I wonder if he's like that. Great. I notice more and more. No, I know. And trust me, I don't agree with it, but I'm saying, like, I feel like more and more people are like that now.

01:24:45 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 3:

In those situations, though, because sometimes I'm that guy. If I go out to eat, I've done it a lot of times with Sherelle, where I've, like, changed where I sit to make sure that when I look in her direction, there's a wall there. Yeah. Or something to that effect, which is, you know, not the right thing.

01:24:59 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 4:

I have to do that.

01:25:00 - 01:25:50 | Speaker 1:

And I've done it before. We've gone to this restaurant called Bo's that's by our house. And they have mirrors. And the worst is I cannot face the mirrors because I'm looking up at their mirrors that are up on the thing. I had a buddy of mine who's a single guy, a guy I've golfed with, who said to me, he goes, I would love to have your gift, but use it for girls. And he said to me, he goes, you would actually do great if you were single. And I said, what do you mean? And he said, you walk up to anybody and everybody and talk to them. Yeah. And I think it's because of what we do. But it's it is sometimes people just don't know what to go up and say and how to, I guess for it's kind of a corny thing, but say, break the ice. You don't know what to to say at first. And a lot of times for me, I will try to use a joke to make things happen. Yeah. And and you're actually good at that, though.

01:25:50 - 01:26:57 | Speaker 4:

You're the easiest person to talk to. Yeah. And I broke the ice. I did. I did the heavy lifting. I approached you you didn't even have to approach me and then make things awkward and then I made the conversation easy you were alone it looked kind of sad to be honest and then I started the conversation did he ask a single question about me no I could tell you his full life story though what he does where his sibling lives where he's from all I can tell you everything but he didn't ask a single question about me and then stood alone the rest of it would even be one thing if you were interested in somebody else that's cool bow out of the conversation and approach them but you didn't you stood there the whole time and didn't have the common courtesy to be polite was he cute though it's okay i mean did you meet anybody from this event that you'd be interested in so there is somebody but they didn't show up and they've shown up to other ones oh yeah so you've gone to a few of these and we're just now finding out about it yeah oh great they honestly no no to be fair to be a lot they're very short they're very short get togethers they're like 30 minutes to an hour max and a lot of times nothing happens that's interesting to bring up

01:26:57 - 01:27:02 | Speaker 1:

that's not an excuse for not telling us hey jackie what's up uh megan went to a mixer

01:27:02 - 01:27:09 | Speaker 4:

i'm sorry it's like we're at fifth grade like ymca hey i got something for you

01:27:09 - 01:27:53 | Speaker 3:

what's up jackie what's going on hey what's up i went to a cabaret and i'm a type of person where I don't like to go out with everything, hanging out with, you know, my pants, skin tight. But I still look nice. And this guy was trying to talk to me. But every time somebody walked past that was half-blank dress, his focus was on them. I said, you know what, sweetheart? I said, maybe I'm wasting your time. I said, because if that's what you're looking for, that's who you need to be with. I'm not that one. Uh-oh, no, baby, no, baby. It's not like that. It's not like that. I said, well, if you can look at her in front of my face, I can only imagine what you would do behind my back. I was like, I'm going to have a nice night. And I walked away. I mean, it's just like the disrespect.

01:27:54 - 01:27:54 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:27:55 - 01:28:06 | Speaker 3:

I don't have to walk around with my chest hanging out. If I'm going to get somebody, they're going to take me with my shirt, with a turtleneck on or with my blouse buttoned up. Love it. I don't have to have everything hanging out. I mean, I like both. I'm not going to lie.

01:28:06 - 01:28:12 | Speaker 1:

But it is a cabaret. What is a cabaret, too? Like, everybody's coming up with these things. What is it? What is a cab?

01:28:13 - 01:28:14 | Speaker 3:

A cabaret?

01:28:14 - 01:28:15 | Speaker 1:

At the cabaret.

01:28:16 - 01:28:33 | Speaker 3:

That's like a performance? Well, no, it's not that type of cabaret. It's like, you know. A strip club? Were you at a strip club? No, it's like a party. No, when black folks throw a party, everybody's bringing their own booze and they sell setups which is like fried chicken or a bag of ice and they sit there and they drink and they dance and they have a good drink. Isn't that called a potluck? Like a kickback.

01:28:34 - 01:28:36 | Speaker 4:

I've never heard it called a cabaret.

01:28:36 - 01:28:37 | Speaker 3:

I love black people!

01:28:37 - 01:28:41 | Speaker 4:

I thought a cabaret was like performance. You ain't. Be ready to tell me a hustle in there.

01:28:41 - 01:28:42 | Speaker 1:

Have you heard of Cabaret at El Cable?

01:28:42 - 01:28:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, for sure.

01:28:43 - 01:28:47 | Speaker 1:

You have? Be ready to hustle in there. What's going on? Sarah, what's happening?

01:28:49 - 01:29:27 | Speaker 2:

Hey, happy New Year's. Hey. Happy New Year. So something that I do is I, whenever I've gone out on a date and there's like a TV there, I sit where I'm actually the one looking at the TV. Because I've had it many times with like exes where they're just like looking straight over my head with, you know, looking at the TV and stuff. And I'm, like, thinking, like, you know, if you're actually taking me out, like, we're not going out to watch TV. Like, it's different if you go to, like, a sports bar for, like, a specific game and stuff. But, like, if you're on an intentional date, there are TVs around. You're supposed to be, like, looking at it.

01:29:27 - 01:29:38 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's why a first date is not good at Buffalo Wild Wings. I mean, with the guy, you know what I mean? It's like there's 8 million televisions throughout the whole place. I'm a small season. What's up, Dustin? Hi.

01:29:39 - 01:29:40 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's going on, Drew?

01:29:40 - 01:29:41 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

01:29:41 - 01:29:47 | Speaker 2:

I was listening to Megan's story. I'm like, what was the whole time the guy was the security guard?

01:29:48 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 4:

That's funny. That's funny, but we did talk about his job in detail. So, no.

01:29:55 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 1:

That would be great. You're bad. We can't.

01:30:00 - 01:30:07 | Speaker 2:

Hey, just wanted to see how not answering my texts or calls is going. Second date update happens at 820 on Mojo in the Morning.

01:30:09 - 01:32:32 | Speaker 1:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. I got to tell you guys that this has been an amazing year. A year ago, February, I started really kind of focusing on my health, and I started being serious about the weight loss shot. I actually take one of those, what do they call them? semi-glutide, trisepatide, whatever the heck these things are. But I take a Mangiorno, and this past year I've lost 48 pounds. Who are you? That's amazing. And it hasn't been like weight loss like I've had with other programs that I've done. And this is not a program I'm doing, so I just went to my doctor, and Dr. Warner, you know, helped me with this. So I'm not, like, promoting anybody, but if anybody wants me to promote them, I'm a free agent right now, baby. I'll promote anybody, any doctor that wants me to. But it's actually worked out a lot. But I'm doing that and I'm doing something else. But I have to be quite honest with you. Losing weight has literally hurt my marriage. As weird as that sounds. Well, I'll explain. Thank you for asking. Today on our We Don't podcast that gets put up on our iHeartRadio app when Zachariah puts it up there, Chelsea and I will discuss this because there is also something else that I'm doing that has caused for some issues. And Chelsea and I discuss that I am doing one of these shots and I'm being very open about that. But I am also doing something that my doctor put me on to, which is I'm taking testosterone. So I had done a blood test to see what kind of testosterone levels I had because I've had friends of mine that have said, hey have you ever checked her testosterone I'm like yeah I think they check it in my blood test well do you know what it is I'm like I don't know what it is I mean I know what my cholesterol is which is weird to know that but I have heart issues so I got to figure that out and I know like what my blood sugar is because I always worried I was going to be a diabetic anytime that I you know feel like I eat a you know a cupcake or something like that I feel like I'm going into a diabetic coma but I had no idea what my testosterone was so I went and did a blood test And your testosterone should be like 700 to like over 1,000. And my testosterone was 100. I literally was a woman.

01:32:33 - 01:32:51 | Speaker 2:

I transitioned. But there's a different type of testosterone, right? There are. And then that's very normal for men, right? Have low testosterone. Once they reach a certain point in life, if it starts going down. She just called you old. No, I was trying to be very funny about it, but that's normal, though, right?

01:32:52 - 01:33:03 | Speaker 1:

Okay, Shannon, this is wild. Buddies of mine who are like 30s, 35 to 36 years old, they went and got their testosterone done. Their testosterone was like 250 or something like that, or 300.

01:33:03 - 01:33:08 | Speaker 2:

They think it's the food that we're eating. Yeah. So you're doing testosterone shots?

01:33:09 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 1:

So I actually do injections, but there's also creams and things like that, but I'm doing it through a doctor. I actually, uh, Chelsea and I, uh, found this, this doctor that, you know, that, that, you know, uh, I went to and it was her encouraging me to do it because this was one of the things that my cardiologist was telling me was low testosterone can be just as bad for your heart as, as, you know, having too high of testosterone. So, you know, trying to figure this thing out was a big deal. So long story short, where this hurts my marriage is, it has made me horny. and all I want to do is bake cookies and literally I and we talk about this Chelsea and I talk about this on the podcast and if you want to call Chelsea by the way Lydia you you can you can give her a call because I'm sure that she'll she'll talk about this but it's gotten to a point where if you are a spouse that is taking testosterone and you're a guy that's doing it because you're trying to make your health better but the libido of your spouse is not keeping up with your libido right it causes for it honestly causes for issues where it becomes a situation where you um you're mismatched you are mismatched and chelsea and also chelsea feels like and we talk about this too and i don't know if there's any other couples that want to talk about this because this is a huge deal amongst people that are trying to lose weight too like others that are are trying to do weight loss things i think that what ends up happening is you start losing weight you start feeling better and then your spouse either one of two things feels like they're not and then they feel like uh-oh they're worried that you're cheating or they worry that you're out doing it for somebody else not realizing that you're you know you're doing it for yourself and um you're kind of mismatched in that way or you're again you're not

01:35:00 - 01:35:45 | Speaker 2:

every woman wants to have sex according to chelsea and i don't understand that chelsea are you there chelsea my wife chelsea is on the phone good morning i think i think you lie to me when you say that not every woman wants to have sex is he talking about it all the time chelsea or is he asking you all the time or both um both so you think so well i always talked about it though true that's true but but you liked me with low testosterone you wanted me not to have testosterone i like you with zero testosterone zero zero point zero yeah zero point zero were you into it initially like when you started to see this change okay you were you wanted me to

01:35:45 - 01:36:02 | Speaker 1:

you wanted me to get healthier i want you yes i want you to be healthy i want you to um Yeah, I want for your health. Absolutely. But it, yeah, it's turned you into a 20-year-old issue.

01:36:02 - 01:36:04 | Speaker 2:

That's part of health. Yeah.

01:36:05 - 01:36:10 | Speaker 1:

Well, yeah, it's not fun for the other person. It just isn't.

01:36:11 - 01:36:14 | Speaker 2:

It's not fun when I wake up pitching a tent?

01:36:15 - 01:36:41 | Speaker 1:

Well, it's not fun because it changes your attitude about everything, too. I hate talking about this on the radio, but if I don't want to, then you get upset and you take it personal. It turns into a, it's like a huge thing. You don't want to hurt his feelings, yeah. I don't want to hurt his feelings, but guess what? I'm going to hurt your feelings, so.

01:36:42 - 01:36:50 | Speaker 2:

You ain't never had blue balls. Yeah. If Chelsea experienced that, it's definitely painful.

01:36:51 - 01:36:52 | Speaker 1:

I experienced what?

01:36:53 - 01:36:53 | Speaker 2:

Huh?

01:36:53 - 01:36:54 | Speaker 1:

What did I see?

01:36:54 - 01:36:56 | Speaker 2:

You never experienced blue balls before.

01:36:57 - 01:36:57 | Speaker 1:

No.

01:36:58 - 01:37:00 | Speaker 2:

It's worse than childbirth. I'm telling you. Oh, my God.

01:37:01 - 01:37:04 | Speaker 4:

I'm sorry to all the women listening right now. I'm just, I'm really sorry.

01:37:05 - 01:37:07 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. Hold on. Mika, are you there, Mika?

01:37:08 - 01:37:09 | Speaker 3:

I am.

01:37:09 - 01:37:10 | Speaker 2:

What's going on?

01:37:11 - 01:37:24 | Speaker 3:

So, I'm with you. I'm having trouble in my marriage as well. I've lost 103 pounds. Wow. Good for you. Thank you. And I sleep on the couch for the last year.

01:37:24 - 01:37:25 | Unknown:

Why?

01:37:26 - 01:38:07 | Speaker 3:

Because he was making comments about my skin one time after we had, you know, some baking cookie time. And he was like, you know, I love you and I support you. And I told you I would support you through this. He goes, but if I'm being honest, I prefer you bigger. Oh, my gosh. And so after that, he would make like little comments like, look at your skin, feel your skin. It's so different. And I started feeling very uncomfortable. As a heavy girl, I've always been heavy. You have self-esteem issues and they don't go away even when you get skinny. Wow. You still have self-esteem issues.

01:38:07 - 01:38:16 | Speaker 2:

So he didn't look at this as, wow, look at you. You know, you're losing weight. Is he a guy that, is he a bigger guy?

01:38:17 - 01:38:39 | Speaker 3:

no you know he's always been thin huh yep that's that's wild yeah why be with a guy who doesn't build you up and is making you feel bad about yourself just to let you know my doctor warned me when i started losing weight that 80 percent of people who have weight loss surgery end up getting

01:38:39 - 01:38:51 | Speaker 4:

a divorce yeah oh my god that is a crazy statistic yeah there's a lot of divorce statistics that are very interesting when it comes to women and their health did your did your husband encourage the

01:38:51 - 01:38:56 | Speaker 2:

weight loss surgery and then earlier in the process oh totally was there by my side at the

01:38:56 - 01:39:10 | Speaker 3:

hospital and everything totally and then about um i want to say once i got into wonderland under 200 pounds um everything changed that's amazing everything well it's one of my biggest

01:39:10 - 01:39:20 | Speaker 4:

fears when it comes to dating it's because i hear stories like this all the time i talked about it late last year actually on the show and it's horrifying the things that people will say

01:39:20 - 01:39:25 | Speaker 3:

have you thought about going i've noticed that i'm sorry go ahead no i was gonna ask you uh

01:39:25 - 01:39:30 | Speaker 2:

say what you're you notice and i'll ask you the question i was gonna say i noticed that people

01:39:30 - 01:39:44 | Speaker 3:

who were nicer to you when you are heavy are kind of meaner to you when you lose weight and people who were meaner to you when you were heavy are nicer to you when you lose weight interesting You learn who is real and who is fake very quickly.

01:39:44 - 01:39:54 | Speaker 2:

You should look for that podcast, too, when Megan talked about that, about people changing and talking to you differently. But can I ask you this? Have you thought about going and seeing if a doctor can help you with the excess skin and stuff?

01:39:55 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 3:

So I have, unfortunately, with my situation.

01:40:00 - 01:40:20 | Speaker 5:

I have to lose seven more pounds and then keep them off for a whole year before my insurance will cover it. And it's still expensive. So I lost 103 pounds actually three years ago, and I teeter back and forth between 97 and 103.

01:40:20 - 01:40:22 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Do you feel beautiful?

01:40:22 - 01:40:23 | Speaker 5:

I'm really struggling.

01:40:24 - 01:40:25 | Speaker 1:

I'm sorry? Do you feel beautiful?

01:40:29 - 01:40:35 | Speaker 4:

Sometimes. oh same same there are times where you're so proud of yourself and other times you're like

01:40:35 - 01:40:41 | Speaker 5:

i look worse now yeah like self-esteem issues just don't go away they're always there but then you

01:40:41 - 01:40:51 | Speaker 4:

have you have the the the feeling of accomplishment of hitting this goal and then looking at yourself in the mirror and being like but i don't look the way that i thought i would look and it's so

01:40:51 - 01:41:00 | Speaker 2:

disappointing well that's why a lot of times they'll tell tell you when you do lose weight that you should go still go talk to a therapist or talk to him. And then not having the support of your partner, too.

01:41:00 - 01:41:05 | Speaker 4:

But then it's also expensive. Therapy is expensive. Getting plastic surgery to fix it is expensive. It's insane.

01:41:07 - 01:41:10 | Speaker 2:

Stacey has, oh, oh, God, listen to that. Stacey's got a baby in the brain.

01:41:10 - 01:41:13 | Speaker 6:

Sorry, this is my girl, so I'm, he's hangry. I'm working on it.

01:41:13 - 01:41:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm working on it. Stacey says that Chelsea, my wife Chelsea is still on the phone here, that the testosterone thing was an issue, is that right, in your relationship with your husband? Yeah.

01:41:25 - 01:42:20 | Speaker 6:

yeah it was um his testosterone was in the 100s so when he first got tested and you know he started with the cream and it literally did nothing for him except for all the emotional roller coaster that this man rode it was so hard like just to be there and understand and sympathize with him we were sitting at the kitchen table and he would just start crying and i'm like babe what of what is going on and he's like i don't know and i'm like okay what can i do and then it was later on he's completely flipped to 180 and he's raring and ready to go and i'm like oh you were just crying your eyes out 10 minutes ago and now you want to just go upstairs and handle our business it's like i i didn't know where i was supposed to be it took a lot of faith a lot of praying and just a lot of patience.

01:42:20 - 01:42:21 | Speaker 2:

Interesting. Wow.

01:42:22 - 01:42:23 | Speaker 3:

Do you get that way? Do you get really emotional?

01:42:24 - 01:42:28 | Speaker 2:

No, I mean, I get... It's just the horniness for you. I don't know, Chelsea, do I get more emotional too?

01:42:29 - 01:42:36 | Speaker 7:

You don't get, like, upset, like, cry emotional, but you get mad if I don't.

01:42:37 - 01:43:27 | Speaker 2:

Well, Chelsea's also... But Chelsea's also lost a lot of weight too, and she looks amazing. And honestly, by the way, I'm sorry, I'm going to hang up on you because your kid is a little crazy. It's actually making me grow boobs right now. My breasts are lactating when I hear that child crying. But Chelsea's lost weight, and Chelsea looks amazing. And honestly, if she's not having sex with me, I'm thinking she wants to have sex with somebody else. And I look at her this way, and I'm like going, man, I feel like I'm trying to look better, too. and um and i'm thinking that it's going to make us want to you know enjoy each other more and it and it hasn't and so part of me then becomes then i then i started having lack of confidence in

01:43:27 - 01:43:48 | Speaker 3:

myself i i mean as a wife i can understand that it's like it's like the circle of craziness because it probably feels good for you chels to be so desired but then at the same time you don't want to be having sex all day every day so then you say no you know every now and again and then it pushes him away and he's like, well, wait a second, why? And then it just keeps going around and around and around. Do you feel

01:43:48 - 01:43:53 | Speaker 2:

good to be desired? Or do you or does it not matter to you?

01:43:53 - 01:44:00 | Speaker 8:

To me? Yeah. Um, I mean, I know, I'm fine.

01:44:01 - 01:44:05 | Speaker 2:

So, because that does bother me sometimes. Like I, I, and I think

01:44:05 - 01:44:07 | Speaker 8:

I never, I think I

01:44:07 - 01:44:12 | Speaker 2:

tell her too much that I love her and I think sometimes it just, it becomes falling on deaf ears.

01:44:13 - 01:44:44 | Speaker 7:

well I yeah I just there's so much more than this whole break can ever cover but yes I think that it because it's making me sound like a horrible wife but um I want you to be healthy I want you to lose the weight and I want you to be I mean again healthy for your heart and all of that stuff but then it comes you know there's also two people in this relationship so it just can't be about what you want constantly all the time but that's the way it feels because if I don't do that then you're

01:44:44 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 2:

upset and then it just ruins the night or the day or whatever I get it um and we get more into this discussion on on the podcast later today and it gets to a point where it's like we're both she basically is telling me like I can't keep up

01:45:00 - 01:45:40 | Speaker 1:

with this and it's not about just the sex it's just the emotions that go on with things i gotta tell you it was more fun being fat and you know i i actually do think this though i think our relationship sometimes is better when there's a traumatic situation that happens so i want to have another heart issue stop not funny that's interesting though i do i think that she likes me or loves me more when there's like something going on oh my gosh when there's a let's not do that please so but other but otherwise it's kind of like i don't know it's it's kind of like you have to like as a kid you know you're a kid and you weren't getting noticed at all uh when you had like a sibling so what would you do you threw something down on the ground just to piss off your

01:45:40 - 01:45:52 | Speaker 3:

parents sometimes you have to get noticed i don't know i don't like that being noticed i'm making not the hard thing no no i'll be fine yeah couldn't it be like i wish to break a finger

01:45:52 - 01:46:16 | Speaker 1:

and, like, she has to make soup for me. I don't like that. I don't know. All right. Well, listen to the podcast today. You can check it out on the iHeartRadio app. Chelsea, I cannot believe this should be a topic, too, that we should get some of these people to come on with us. All these listeners are calling up saying weight loss caused issues in their relationship. I cannot believe how many of our listeners said that they ran into marital issues after losing weight.

01:46:18 - 01:46:21 | Speaker 2:

Well, yeah, I'm sure that does happen for sure.

01:46:21 - 01:46:27 | Speaker 1:

did any time in my 8 000 other weight loss journeys did i did that cause any issues in

01:46:27 - 01:46:45 | Speaker 2:

our relationship no just the testosterone just the testosterone all right all right it's never been about what you look like so that's and i've never i know i got very clear with that listener that called in i don't make comments i don't you know as i praise you like i but i don't want to

01:46:45 - 01:46:54 | Speaker 1:

make it about your looks because that's just not well you also met me and i was fat and the only time that it's ever been bad was when you just worried about me dying you know what i mean my

01:46:54 - 01:47:08 | Speaker 2:

health yeah i don't i don't place everything on your looks i think you're an amazing person with who you are so i don't want anyone to think that i'm saying anything bad about your looks it's just strictly the testosterone issue right now let's end on a positive mark what did you want to say

01:47:09 - 01:47:35 | Speaker 3:

mojo what's up brother i'm glad you guys are back what's up with them lions but hey i was 400 pounds and right now I'm like 307. I've just been changing stuff up. And my sex life is great. The girl loves it. We have sex all the time. She says it feels so good. Does she have a name or do you just call her the girl?

01:47:35 - 01:47:41 | Speaker 1:

And what is the reasoning why the girl thinks it's better?

01:47:41 - 01:47:57 | Speaker 3:

she she says it's just because i i've always been told that that i have a nice unit but with losing weight i think that my stomach is more out of the way and my my unit might be maybe an inch or a little bit longer a little bit harder

01:47:57 - 01:48:13 | Speaker 1:

i'm sorry i'm sorry no no mark here's the deal mark had a dicky do and for those that don't know a dicky-do. It's when you're a fat guy. Your belly sticks.

01:48:13 - 01:48:16 | Speaker 3:

Your belly sticks off probably your dicky-do.

01:48:18 - 01:48:34 | Speaker 1:

Exactly. So no more dicky-do for you, Mark. No, sir. All right, buddy. Appreciate it. Take care of yourself. I love you guys. Tell the girl hi. And Chelsea, I love you. I will talk to you later.

01:48:35 - 01:48:36 | Speaker 2:

Love you. Bye.

01:48:37 - 01:48:38 | Speaker 4:

It's the second Date Update.

01:48:38 - 01:49:00 | Speaker 1:

All right, why are you not getting a call after you went on a date? We're going to find out right now. Second date update is on the Mojo in the Morning show. Text DATE to 95500 if you're being ghosted, and we'll get you on the show. Shane is on with us right now. Shane, you're being ghosted? Hey, yeah, I am. How are you, Shane?

01:49:03 - 01:49:05 | Speaker 4:

Other than being ghosted, I guess I'm all right.

01:49:05 - 01:49:19 | Speaker 1:

I know. It's like, I know, it's so bad. It's like, how's your day going? Well, not great. I'm calling up the show to figure out why a girl's not calling me back. You guys met. You guys went out. How did you guys meet? Where did you guys connect with each other?

01:49:19 - 01:49:35 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we met on Hinge, and we chatted one night, and I was like, let's go out the next day. I took her out to eat, and haven't heard from her since. Yeah.

01:49:36 - 01:49:39 | Speaker 2:

How did it end? We always ask this question because it kind of gives us some good insight.

01:49:41 - 01:49:49 | Speaker 4:

Well, I mean, like, not to kiss and tell or whatever, but, like, she did come home with me. We did hook up. So I thought it ended pretty well.

01:49:50 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Interesting. So you guys went out, had fun with each other, and now she's not calling you back. That usually is something.

01:50:00 - 01:50:11 | Speaker 2:

Something that happens to the girls that call our show or women that call our show. It doesn't really happen to guys. So it's kind of interesting. We're going to find out what's going on. Lexi is on with us right now. Lexi, will you say hello to Shane?

01:50:15 - 01:50:15 | Speaker 6:

Hello?

01:50:18 - 01:50:18 | Speaker 5:

Hello?

01:50:18 - 01:50:19 | Speaker 2:

Shane, what's up?

01:50:21 - 01:50:21 | Speaker 5:

Hi.

01:50:23 - 01:50:41 | Speaker 2:

Lexi, was your... This is a little awkward. Although I feel like you kind of make it a little bit more awkward by the way that you kind of, I mean, you guys, you guys went out and is everything that he said so far that you've heard, correct?

01:50:43 - 01:50:56 | Speaker 5:

I mean, yeah, like we went out, we got food and like, that's it. Yeah, but I haven't like responded to him, but yeah, everything he said is like legit.

01:50:56 - 01:51:28 | Speaker 6:

legit and why why haven't you responded i mean he said he has like like 80 i don't know like a lot of student debt like like 80k and like school debt and like i just i don't want him to feel like shame about it or anything but like i don't have any loans okay so i just want someone like within like that similar landscape you know what i mean so what you guys talked about your your

01:51:28 - 01:51:35 | Speaker 2:

your school debt about your uh your college debt indeed i don't know if we like talked about it

01:51:35 - 01:51:42 | Speaker 6:

but he brought it like he said he was in debt so like i took that to heart like what am i supposed

01:51:42 - 01:52:17 | Speaker 3:

to do with that information so that way so you talked about this at dinner didn't matter to you I mean, you went and hooked up, okay. But that is... Well, that has nothing to do with it. But it has everything to do with it because it's something that you don't like about him. You just said you don't want that in a relationship. Yeah, but hooking up has nothing to do with his student loan. Well, I guess I don't understand why that's like a no-go, a reason for you to not text him back.

01:52:17 - 01:52:22 | Speaker 6:

I'm just not interested. I don't know. like i want someone more like fiscally responsible but it doesn't mean i'm not going to hook up with

01:52:22 - 01:52:38 | Speaker 4:

you listen that doesn't mean somebody's not fiscally responsible i'm half and half with her i'm half and half half of me is like listen everybody has student loan debt that's like the one debt i can look around as long as we're making payments on it you know it's not like

01:52:38 - 01:52:44 | Speaker 3:

you racked up 80 grand in a credit card bill that would be different to me that would be different

01:52:44 - 01:52:59 | Speaker 4:

to me i completely agree with you i have no problem with you having an issue with somebody having a lot of debt the student loan one just like a like when I had a mortgage that's technically debt like that's normal debt versus irresponsible debt like racking up like you said a credit card

01:52:59 - 01:53:30 | Speaker 2:

or something can I can I just say this though if I spend a night with somebody and we had long conversations we finally go back and have sex with each other and the only thing that she came away after we had sex with each other was the fact that I had student debt the sex must not have been that great oh you think she lying no i know i'm just wondering like it's like you know what i mean like you look past certain things but i i don't know like does that stick in your head it wasn't the day it was the day that's what you're saying right i just think there was something

01:53:30 - 01:53:40 | Speaker 1:

else am i right you can overlook anything if he's hot oh wait okay so if so if the guy would have

01:53:40 - 01:53:57 | Speaker 2:

said that he uh well all things but being like a murderer or something like that the guy said something like he was a bad you know he's had a lot of dates or whatever over the time and he's had been not in long-term relationships that wouldn't freak you out if the sex was good uh because if

01:53:57 - 01:54:08 | Speaker 1:

he's if he's good in bed then he's good for a little bit of time you can still answer him for you know and you're attracted to him yeah no that's true for sure yeah so that means you

01:54:08 - 01:54:09 | Speaker 6:

Well, no, it still matters.

01:54:10 - 01:54:17 | Speaker 2:

By the way, is he still on the phone? Shane, are you still there? How good were you in bed now? I am. Hold on a second. Hold on.

01:54:18 - 01:54:28 | Speaker 3:

I mean. I just feel like if that's going to be the thing that turns you off about somebody, it better be the first question that you ask before you go out with them. Because I feel like that's 90% of the population.

01:54:28 - 01:54:29 | Speaker 2:

Emily wants to comment. What's up, Emily?

01:54:31 - 01:54:32 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. How y'all doing?

01:54:32 - 01:54:33 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. What's happening?

01:54:33 - 01:54:49 | Speaker 7:

in oh i'm just curious did this young lady like grow up rich or like have lots of okay where were you very very smart yeah most people have to get too long to go to school and further

01:54:49 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 6:

than so correct i mean i grew i don't know how to answer that like i grew up affluent i guess but like rich rich did your parents

01:54:59 - 01:55:29 | Unknown:

Thank you.

01:55:00 - 01:55:02 | Speaker 7:

If you say accruent, you rich, rich.

01:55:02 - 01:55:09 | Speaker 3:

Did your parents pay your college loans and your tuition?

01:55:09 - 01:55:12 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I didn't take out loans. There you go.

01:55:12 - 01:55:13 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so there you go.

01:55:14 - 01:55:16 | Speaker 7:

I graduated without debt.

01:55:17 - 01:55:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Devin, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

01:55:21 - 01:55:34 | Speaker 2:

I think she's a gold digger. I think she just led him on a little bit more, found out that, you know, oh, he's got student loans. I'm going to get out of this, but I'm going to lead him on just a little bit more. So that way, when he gets out and gets out of his debt, he might come back.

01:55:35 - 01:55:47 | Speaker 7:

I honestly think you guys are giving me too much credit. I just wanted to get laid, and I did. Why didn't you just say that, then? Say that. Don't make it about this poor guy's student loans.

01:55:48 - 01:55:49 | Speaker 3:

I like that. That's so offensive.

01:55:50 - 01:56:14 | Speaker 7:

I also don't like that he has student loans, but I also wanted to, like, have fun and move on with my life. Like, it's not that serious. We went on one date. We weren't dating for, like, six months. Like, this is insane. Guys do this all the time, and then they just, like, ghost and move on. But the minute I do it and give you a reason that I just don't want to hang anymore, I'm the best.

01:56:14 - 01:56:19 | Speaker 5:

I like your reason better if you just wanted to get laid and move on. That's not offensive to me.

01:56:21 - 01:56:26 | Speaker 7:

That's just, like, not to me. I like her. I don't.

01:56:26 - 01:56:28 | Speaker 3:

Susan, what's up, Susan?

01:56:29 - 01:56:54 | Speaker 6:

i i just forget the sex and forget the student loans but who are you talking to my girl shannon like that correct for no reason girl correct you came on here to wonder why you didn't call him back and you're talking to a radio show because you wanted to get laid and you gave some lame excuse about some student loans we all don't have daddy's money we wish we did yeah wait i don't

01:56:54 - 01:57:01 | Speaker 7:

actually wait what's the question i actually don't get the point like what did you what were you Oh, and you said you were smart and got a full ride in them.

01:57:01 - 01:57:09 | Speaker 3:

I think what she wanted, she basically is saying, Susan's basically saying that you should have just come.

01:57:09 - 01:57:14 | Speaker 7:

Watch it out, girl. What'd she say? I can't understand what she said.

01:57:14 - 01:57:21 | Speaker 3:

She basically was saying that you should have just come right out and saying, all I was doing was looking to get laid. I have no interest in calling you back. That's it.

01:57:21 - 01:57:21 | Speaker 7:

Yes.

01:57:22 - 01:57:26 | Speaker 3:

But that's all right. Shane, thank you so much for going out.

01:57:26 - 01:57:30 | Speaker 7:

I gave the same spiel that, like, guys give all the time. That's true.

01:57:30 - 01:57:32 | Speaker 3:

Hey, baby, never change. Baby, never change.

01:57:32 - 01:57:34 | Speaker 7:

You're going to find that man.

01:57:35 - 01:57:37 | Speaker 3:

We appreciate it. Second date update.

01:58:08 - 01:58:15 | Speaker 3:

Oh, guess what? The Lions won again. Game.

01:58:16 - 01:58:20 | Speaker 5:

Game. Oh, a little early. It's okay.

01:58:20 - 01:58:21 | Speaker 3:

It's okay. It's coming.

01:58:21 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 5:

Our Detroit Lions are waking up. Are they awake yet? Probably not. but NFC North champions for the second year in a row. Coach Dan Campbell in the locker room after the game.

01:58:34 - 01:59:05 | Speaker 4:

You guys look like you remember who the f*** you are. That's a hell of a win, guys. All I can think about is, man, we've been forcing this stuff now. This has been three years in the making. Some of it four. Like, that just doesn't happen. You've got to work through it, grind through it, and go through the downs to get to the ups of where we're at. Division winners, back-to-back season. All right, we're Joe in the morning, fans. Wake up, grab your coffee, and let's get ready to do what we do. Come on. Forward down the field. A charging team that will not heal.

01:59:05 - 01:59:17 | Speaker 5:

I played this video of Theo in studio for the kids yesterday, and they were like, Mom, you are so famous. You come out with the biggest celebrity. I like the name of Theo.

01:59:18 - 01:59:22 | Speaker 3:

Theo was amazing last night, too. He did such a great job.

01:59:22 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 5:

I love him so much. Okay, so let me just really quick give you some injury updates. Terry and Arnold left yesterday's victory over the Vikings with a foot injury, but said he will absolutely be on the field when the Lions return in two weeks for their playoff opener. He told the Detroit Free Press in the locker room after the game that he is playing. He will be there. He will be playing. Coach Campbell also saying that the x-rays on his foot were negative, so there's that. And then David Montgomery, he's been out since week 15 with an MCL injury in his left knee. NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark reported yesterday that he did go.

02:00:00 - 02:00:05 | Speaker 2:

through his first full workout on Saturday and hinted that he will also be back for our next

02:00:05 - 02:00:38 | Speaker 3:

game. Holy crap. By the way, he comes back. He's going to do what Alex Anzalone did last night for our offense. It's going to re I mean, we obviously the offense needed a little kickstart in the first half. They looked awful. And I was a little worried about Jared Goff. But Gibbs having this much pressure, that's a lot of work to have to keep on running the ball. And at the end of the game yesterday made me worried when they were trying to run out the clock that we were going to get this guy injured by having him run so much he needs a little bit of help in that backfield

02:00:38 - 02:01:57 | Speaker 2:

didn't see ryan reynolds blake lively or hugh jackman their best buddy on the golden globes red carpet last night they were all absent amid all of this drama with blake's it ends with us co-star jace uh justin baldoni excuse me i've been following this over break and i'm catching you up real quick if you haven't been following along it's been a big story for the past month or two. It reached its peak over the holiday. So Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni last month, accusing him of sexual harassment and fostering a hostile work environment on the set of their movie. It ends with us. It's based on the Colleen Hoover book and her complaint basically said that Justin had caused her severe emotional distress that he had orchestrated along with his PR people, this social manipulation campaign to damage her reputation, which I absolutely believe happened after reading the New York Times article that included all of the court documents for this case, all of the text messages related to this case. Justin denied those allegations and now filed his own $250 million lawsuit against the New York Times for libel, false light and invasion of privacy and is now planning a separate lawsuit against Blake Lively as well. His lawyer came forward over the weekend to say they plan to release every single

02:01:57 - 02:02:01 | Speaker 3:

text message between the two of them they say that he's got text messages that are very incriminating

02:02:01 - 02:02:22 | Speaker 2:

on them yeah he edited his text messages in her lawsuit right so i don't know about that i can't comment on that um i just read i read the entire new york times thing and all of those documents but uh justin baldoni's attorney said we want the truth to be out there we want the documents to be out there we want people to make their determination based on i would like to call to the stand it is

02:02:22 - 02:02:36 | Speaker 3:

getting messy. I would like to call to the stand Scarlett Johansson. Let me ask you, Scarlett, what do you think of Blake Lively? Are you a fan of her? I just want to add only because of in the past supposedly, you know, there's obviously relationships. Oh my god,

02:02:36 - 02:02:38 | Speaker 4:

I did not make that connection for the longest

02:02:38 - 02:02:42 | Speaker 3:

time. Let's do it. Just a character witness. You got to bring character witnesses. Yeah, but I think this is going to be

02:02:42 - 02:02:46 | Speaker 4:

the next Johnny Depp, Amber Heard trial. Like, I'm going to live for this.

02:02:46 - 02:02:50 | Speaker 3:

Will there be grumpies on the bed at all? Grumpies.

02:02:51 - 02:03:49 | Speaker 2:

Amazon has exclusively licensed an upcoming documentary film on the former and incoming First Lady Melania Trump. A studio spokesperson calling the film an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at the First Lady. Filming began in December. I don't know when we're going to get to see it, but it's happening. And lastly, SZA has teased the possibility of releasing two brand new albums to fulfill her current contractual requirement, but they're very interesting. So she released an album last month but now she's suggesting that she's ready to move on from the r&b aesthetic and on to a very different vibe on saturday she tweeted to to fulfill my last two album requirements i think i want to make peaceful children's music and then get out of here i want to be a farmer and donate the produce to underserved communities love that yeah so she wants to do something very different uh and then kind of step away from music and live a very

02:03:49 - 02:03:51 | Speaker 3:

privately. Does she have an issue with her record

02:03:51 - 02:03:53 | Speaker 2:

label and that's the reason why? Doesn't it sound like it?

02:03:53 - 02:03:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. She just split from her long-time manager, too. Yeah.

02:03:57 - 02:04:03 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. For all of today's Dirty, you can catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or mojointhemorning.com.

where you at i'm in east point all right well thank you for listening uh last year and i don't know what the exact dollar amount was, but last year we gave away, I think if I'm not mistaken, nearly a million dollars in prizes over the year with all the things that we did with the cars, the cash, the trips that we do every single year with babies. We gave away babies. So there was a lot of stuff that we gave away in this year. we will, of course, be topping that. So we got to do it. So keep listening to win.

02:05:59 - 02:06:00 | Speaker 2:

Okay, thank you.

02:06:00 - 02:06:04 | Speaker 3:

Hang on the... Oh, I'm sorry. Hold on a second. I pushed the wrong button. What were you going to say? You're what?

02:06:06 - 02:06:08 | Speaker 2:

I'm just so glad I won. I'm so glad I was a part of it.

02:06:08 - 02:06:12 | Speaker 3:

Aw. Well, Kevin Hart, congratulations. Hang on the phone, okay?

02:06:13 - 02:06:13 | Speaker 1:

Thanks.

02:06:14 - 02:06:22 | Speaker 3:

All right. It's Mojo on the Morning. Is KP in that room over there? Or does she want to come and do her topic in this room? Peace-ki.

02:06:22 - 02:06:25 | Speaker 5:

She is not in this room. Come in here. Where's she at?

02:06:26 - 02:06:26 | Speaker 2:

Let me go next door.

02:06:26 - 02:06:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she's next door. I see the red light. What is she doing? She working on some video.

02:06:31 - 02:06:36 | Speaker 5:

While we're waiting, Kev, can I ask you why you went outside to take a poop in the port-a-potty versus using our bathroom?

02:06:36 - 02:07:02 | Speaker 4:

We only got one bathroom in this place. And the way my stomach was going crazy, I'm eating a lot of chili lately because the weather calls for chili. I'm like, babe, we on commercial. I got to go doodle real quick. Let me knock this out. I literally saw him run outside. Was there somebody in the bathroom? I go in there and I see these white tennis shoes with the black Nikes look like the ones Brendan got on right now. I'm like, y'all got to go. I almost went into the women's restaurant. I'm like, you can't do that. So I'm going to see the security guard.

02:07:02 - 02:07:04 | Speaker 5:

But Lydia and I were in there peeing.

02:07:04 - 02:07:06 | Speaker 4:

I don't see the security guard. I'm like, is there another bathroom? And he's like, nah, bro.

02:07:06 - 02:07:10 | Speaker 3:

I'm like, ah. How cold, wait, how cold is it in the port-a-pot?

02:07:10 - 02:07:13 | Speaker 4:

It's cold as hell. But when you got to doodle, that's on your mind. That's the only thing you worried about.

02:07:13 - 02:07:15 | Speaker 5:

I didn't even know there was a port-a-potty outside.

02:07:15 - 02:07:20 | Speaker 4:

The security guard told me. He was like, no, it's no bathroom in here, but it's a party party. I was like, I got to go, bro. It's pretty pretty.

02:07:20 - 02:07:24 | Speaker 5:

When we did the turkey shoot, they were out there. I was focused. Oh.

02:07:25 - 02:07:40 | Speaker 3:

Hold on. Do we, is there any, does anybody know what the, what is going to happen in this building? Like, do we, do we know, like, has anybody called or talked to, should we call the bosses and ask them?

02:07:40 - 02:07:43 | Speaker 5:

What do you mean? Like when other tenants move in and there's still only one bathroom?

02:07:43 - 02:07:47 | Speaker 3:

Are we only going to have, like, we do only have one stop. There's got to be a bathroom upstairs. There's got to, but.

02:07:47 - 02:07:51 | Speaker 5:

At some point, there's a restaurant going in.

02:07:51 - 02:07:52 | Speaker 3:

Construction is still underway.

02:07:52 - 02:07:53 | Speaker 5:

Where are they going to park?

02:07:54 - 02:08:04 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. But I'm not worried about where they're going to park. I'm worried about where I'm going to park my booty if we do have to go to the bathroom. And the fact that you went to a. Fortify. It wasn't that bad.

02:08:04 - 02:08:17 | Speaker 4:

Really? You got to go. Listen, I second guessed it, right? Because I'm like, man, I got to go outside. I went back in and said, are you going to be in there long? And I didn't hear no. So I had to just go.

02:08:19 - 02:08:30 | Speaker 3:

To me, if I have to go to the bathroom, I'm going in the women's bathroom before I'm going into a porta potty that's in 20 degree weather, not even 20 degree weather.

02:08:30 - 02:08:34 | Speaker 5:

That wouldn't have helped him because we only have two stalls. I was in one. Lydia was in the other.

02:08:34 - 02:08:37 | Speaker 4:

Lydia was right behind me until we were walking. I figured she was going in there.

02:08:37 - 02:08:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Like, I hate to say this, but I think that if that happens, I'm just doo-dooing in the bathroom sink.

02:08:47 - 02:08:50 | Speaker 1:

Oh, upon a bridesmaid's. Yeah. It's happening. It's happening.

02:08:50 - 02:09:02 | Speaker 3:

I'm going into the bathroom sink, and then I'm cleaning up later. Or doodine on the floor. In a trash can.

02:09:02 - 02:09:08 | Speaker 5:

Hi, this is Colleen. I can't take your call at the moment. If you could text me, I'd sure appreciate it. rather than leaving a message. Thanks a lot.

02:09:09 - 02:09:09 | Speaker 2:

Bye-bye.

02:09:09 - 02:09:51 | Speaker 3:

How do I text her about duty? Colleen, hi. Calling from the next door studio here right now. This is Mojo. We had a building issue that we wanted to ask you, and I don't know what our lease says, but can you please just give us a detail on how many toilets do we plan on having in this building eventually? uh kevin today almost had to duty on the floor so i just wanted to make sure that uh that you knew that and brought it to your attention and i wanted to text this but i was a little bit worried that duty and text is not a good idea so i'd leave a verbal message uh thank you

02:09:51 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 4:

uh happy new year by the way oh my god bye you know what it's got to be it's got to be like a What do they call it? Like a...

02:10:00 - 02:10:05 | Speaker 3:

fire code violation or something like that. You know what I mean? You have to have so many exits depending upon the population of people you have.

02:10:05 - 02:10:09 | Speaker 4:

Or handicap spaces, depending on how many spots there are.

02:10:10 - 02:10:19 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Zach, can you run real quick and just grab the building maintenance guy? What's his name? He also works for the Red Wings. Is his name Brandon? Brandon.

02:10:19 - 02:10:20 | Speaker 5:

Brandon.

02:10:20 - 02:10:35 | Speaker 3:

Brandon. Brandon. Not our Brendan, right? No, no, no. But Brandon. Yeah. Brandon, who is Christos' building maintenance man. Christos! And ask, he's got to have, like, the blueprints. I'd like to see what the blueprints.

02:10:35 - 02:10:37 | Speaker 4:

I want to hear Tony's thoughts.

02:10:37 - 02:10:40 | Speaker 3:

We'll call him the poop prince. Should we call Tony?

02:10:41 - 02:10:41 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:10:41 - 02:10:46 | Speaker 5:

Is everybody in that meeting over there? He loves talking about poop. There's a big meeting happening right now.

02:10:46 - 02:10:46 | Speaker 3:

Sales meeting.

02:10:47 - 02:10:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:10:47 - 02:10:50 | Speaker 3:

Is this the first one? Ask Tony, though. Is this the first one of the year?

02:10:50 - 02:10:52 | Speaker 5:

He shouldn't be in that meeting.

02:10:52 - 02:10:53 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Hold on a second.

02:10:53 - 02:10:54 | Speaker 4:

There's snacks.

02:10:55 - 02:11:07 | Speaker 3:

Tony Travato was at the game late last night, too. I don't think he got out of the parking lot with Christopher and Nick until like 2 in the morning or something like that. So he may be a little late today.

02:11:07 - 02:11:08 | Speaker 2:

You butthole.

02:11:10 - 02:11:10 | Speaker 3:

Was that a sneeze?

02:11:10 - 02:11:15 | Speaker 4:

Kevin, yawn first, okay? Oh, the yawns are going on. The line's coming next.

02:11:16 - 02:11:24 | Speaker 3:

By the way, I am a sympathetic pooper. Now I have to go to the bathroom. Hello? Tony, hi. What a win, huh? What a win.

02:11:25 - 02:11:30 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. Yeah, what a win. It was unreal, wasn't it? I thought we were talking about poop, not the money.

02:11:30 - 02:11:53 | Speaker 3:

Oh, are you listening? Okay, you're listening. Tony's always listening. Actually, as far as Dan Campbell would say. Holy crap. I love Tony's laugh. Have you brought to the attention of Colleen or maybe the I Heart people that we don't have enough stalls? Because we've talked about this numerous times on our show.

02:11:54 - 02:12:07 | Speaker 1:

Man, it is a huge problem, and I've got a port-a-potty coming to put in the corner of the studio because, yeah, you walk into that bathroom, and it's like, man, you are right on top of the person in the stall.

02:12:07 - 02:12:14 | Speaker 5:

Or what happens, though, if there's somebody in the stall, and you really, really, really, really need to go, which is what just happened to Kev.

02:12:14 - 02:12:21 | Speaker 1:

Or what if you walk in, and the person in the stall had some really bad chili.

02:12:22 - 02:12:23 | Speaker 3:

Bad chili.

02:12:23 - 02:12:28 | Speaker 4:

But also, Tony, why did you say you were going to put the port-a-potty in our studio? That just feels rude.

02:12:28 - 02:12:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Let's not put it in our studio.

02:12:30 - 02:12:36 | Speaker 1:

But the filtration in, let's talk about the filtration, though, of the bathroom. Because it's not good.

02:12:36 - 02:12:46 | Speaker 3:

It is. But it has to be that they're going to eventually build more bathrooms somewhere, right? They'll have more places for us to go to?

02:12:47 - 02:13:02 | Speaker 1:

Well, there's somebody in the building that, there has to be, because we're the first tenant. But there's somebody in the building that had the best idea, and that's look for the private bathroom that's elsewhere in the building.

02:13:02 - 02:13:03 | Speaker 3:

There's got to be, right?

02:13:03 - 02:13:05 | Speaker 1:

I haven't figured that out yet.

02:13:05 - 02:13:22 | Speaker 3:

Like the one thing about Christos, he owns a lot of fine establishments. I know this. Greek people go to the bathroom, and there's no way that at any of the places that I've ever gone that this man and his family owns has there only been one stall. This is the only place I know that there is that way.

02:13:22 - 02:13:34 | Speaker 2:

I thought that some human being had actually dropped a grumpy, pardon the term, onto the bed.

02:13:38 - 02:13:44 | Speaker 3:

But I know that we had to move out of that building that we were in because we were going to have to pay another month's worth of rent or something like that.

02:13:44 - 02:13:48 | Speaker 4:

I miss those bathrooms. Private stalls and so many.

02:13:48 - 02:14:26 | Speaker 3:

It's so funny. everything that we hated about that building sometimes does come into play where we're like i guess it really wasn't so bad you know what it is it's like when you move from your kids like as a kid your parents get a new house it should be exciting instead you go oh i'm reminiscing a little bit so all right well uh tony if you can uh you got a department head meeting today can you bring this up in the department head meeting for us yeah i'm very excited to bring that up all right thank you we appreciate it boss talk to you later go lions you guys go lions go by the way do you think that the lions how many how many bathrooms you think they've got oh so

02:14:26 - 02:14:31 | Speaker 4:

many so many that locker room each have their own number you think dan's is gold

02:14:31 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 3:

you're you're you're at lca so you you go into the locker room for the pistons do you like do Do they have, like, multiple stalls? And also, are their toilets big stalls? Are they tall stalls for these tall men? Yeah, and then once you flush, it goes, Detroit. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One.

02:15:00 - 02:16:08 | Speaker 1:

Stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning Live. All right, it is the Mojo in the Morning show. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE. Text is 95500. If you do text us, we would love for you to look for a phone call from us because we might want to call and put you on the radio, and that would be our producer that's calling you to say, hey, come on, talk to us, and say your comment on the air to us, and then tell us if you're a first-time long-time. We would love to acknowledge that. KP has been dating, which is always good whenever the single people on the show are dating because it brings us good conversation. She, though, out of all the single people, never tells us, though, that she's dating. She tries to hide it from us, so we have to, like, hire a private investigator to figure this out. But there has been – this is interesting. We're now going to learn the guy's name that she's dating because I didn't even know who the guy's name was because she's just referred to him on the air, but it's because he shares a name of somebody else on this show. Zach. Zach. It's the worst. His name is Zach.

02:16:08 - 02:16:11 | Speaker 3:

As we say that, he's rocking over here.

02:16:12 - 02:16:15 | Speaker 5:

He's got a little pep in his step, too. And this is a massive issue, actually, that his name is Zach.

02:16:15 - 02:16:16 | Speaker 4:

And it's not this Zach.

02:16:17 - 02:16:19 | Speaker 5:

No. I'm not dating Zach on the show.

02:16:19 - 02:16:22 | Speaker 1:

Could you imagine Zach, you and KP together?

02:16:23 - 02:16:27 | Speaker 5:

Woo-woo. Zach, I love you. I love you.

02:16:28 - 02:16:37 | Speaker 1:

Um, so KP, so you're dating a guy named Zach, and how has it become an issue, uh, that he shares the same name as this Zach?

02:16:38 - 02:16:48 | Speaker 5:

Because, uh, I accidentally texted the wrong Zach, and I didn't realize until Zach was like, KP, what the hell are you talking about? In all caps.

02:16:48 - 02:16:51 | Speaker 4:

Was it a sext? No. I wish.

02:16:51 - 02:16:52 | Speaker 5:

That would be so much better.

02:16:53 - 02:16:55 | Speaker 4:

Could you imagine, or a photo?

02:16:55 - 02:16:57 | Speaker 2:

Oh my God.

02:16:57 - 02:17:22 | Speaker 5:

That's why you didn't bring it up. Yeah, no, I was texting my Zach about something else. Are we calling my Zach? I am your Zach. What the hell? I'm calling my Zach, yes. But like my other Zach. In like an inside joke. And I was trying to figure something out. And Zach was just like, I don't know what the hell you're talking about. And Zach being Zach was trying so hard to understand until he just got completely fed up.

02:17:23 - 02:17:25 | Speaker 2:

I think you're missing the big thing.

02:17:25 - 02:17:26 | Speaker 4:

Wait, what was the big thing?

02:17:26 - 02:17:44 | Speaker 2:

What? She was like, you remember, you remember what we were doing? What don't you? So she was texting. She was like, Hey, didn't we figure this out last night? Um, remember our, our messages that we were sending our secret messages. And I'm like, KP, what the hell are you talking about?

02:17:44 - 02:17:48 | Speaker 3:

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, what are secret messages?

02:17:48 - 02:17:52 | Speaker 2:

I didn't even, I don't know. She didn't, uh, wow. You should have kept it.

02:17:52 - 02:18:09 | Speaker 5:

We were testing some audio equipment and we were sending each other messages to test it. Secret messages. You lied. She's watching. I was like, why is this not working? So I decided to text her and be like, hey, do you know how this works?

02:18:09 - 02:18:21 | Speaker 2:

That's when I started getting frustrated. I was like, what are you talking about? I have done all of my work. What are you talking about? I didn't do anything wrong. She's like, no, we literally did this yesterday. And I'm like, no.

02:18:21 - 02:18:50 | Speaker 1:

So the Zach that you are dating, you were trying to talk to him. Instead, you got this Zach. And Zach, you would actually want her to be sending you like a romantic text? Who doesn't want that? Of course. I don't know if I'd want a coworker to be sending it and know what they're doing behind the scenes. Well, do I just want to be loved?

02:18:51 - 02:18:53 | Speaker 2:

So even if it's the wrong text, that'd be cool.

02:18:54 - 02:18:59 | Speaker 4:

But then now I'm like, and I'm sure you were too. I'm so intrigued at like secret messages.

02:18:59 - 02:19:00 | Speaker 3:

That's all I've been thinking about.

02:19:01 - 02:19:48 | Speaker 1:

Has this ever happened to any listener or anybody listening to the show? 844 Mojo Live where you were sending in the text to the wrong person. And did it ever become that? Because I know we've done it before where people have said that they've sent a nude to like a family member or whatever and that can get kind of interesting but what if they share the same name yeah i always get the like i always hear the mom is the interesting one where it's like you're dating a person named i don't know something mo and it turns out that you type in the first couple of letters and it does that from time to time i always get group texts wrong like i try i try to send people text messages and next thing i know i'm sending them to like the three-person group

02:19:48 - 02:19:56 | Speaker 4:

text that was the last but you just needed or you just needed the one person in the group text and it sends it to the whole group exactly you know what just happened to my friend she had a guy

02:19:56 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 5:

that she used to hook up with texture and she

02:20:00 - 02:20:03 | Speaker 1:

didn't reply, so he replied back, sorry, that was for my sister.

02:20:04 - 02:20:05 | Speaker 4:

Oh. What? He was trying,

02:20:06 - 02:20:12 | Speaker 1:

because apparently his sister has the same name as her. He was trying to, like, play it off. Because he was embarrassed. He didn't mean to text her, meant to send it to his sister, because she

02:20:12 - 02:20:16 | Speaker 4:

didn't reply. And you think he was telling the truth? No. Really? No.

02:20:16 - 02:20:22 | Speaker 1:

He would send it right away. Or if you did it, you would be like, oh, my bad, wrong person. Exactly. You would know.

02:20:22 - 02:20:23 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Izzy, what's up?

02:20:24 - 02:20:29 | Speaker 7:

Hey, I was just going to say that Zach can always send me secret messages. I would love to know what he would have to say.

02:20:30 - 02:20:34 | Speaker 4:

Oh, hello, Zach. Have you met Zach?

02:20:35 - 02:20:39 | Speaker 7:

Once. Only when you guys were doing the chicken poop thing.

02:20:39 - 02:20:45 | Speaker 4:

Great. Wow. That was the time. It wasn't at the hotel hookup party in one of his rooms at the Cambria Hotel?

02:20:46 - 02:20:51 | Speaker 7:

No, but it seems like this show is all about poop today, you guys. Every day, baby. Every day.

02:20:52 - 02:20:57 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. This is no different. Poop and sexting. What's going on, Mo?

02:20:57 - 02:21:28 | Speaker 6:

hey how y'all doing what's up so i thought i started working at a sushi restaurant i was working there for maybe a week um and i was in a group chat with like the line leaves and the manager and stuff like that um i forgot what i sent a couple of years ago but i know it was a sexual text to the point where like i'm freaking out i'm like okay i didn't mean to send it but i didn't go in that day like i just ended up doing it i love that i love though it's my new job this

02:21:28 - 02:21:37 | Speaker 4:

is my new job and i just sent something sexual to you uh what's up jen hi yes um i thought i was

02:21:37 - 02:22:14 | Speaker 8:

texting my girlfriend this was like years before i've been married and i text what i thought was her and said thanks for the amazing shower this morning and my dad texted me back and I didn't realize it was him and he says you're welcome and then I said yeah me plus dirty thoughts of you Plus the shower head Equals And my dad had to call me Yeah And my dad had to call me And say Stop sending me your dirty Best decision

02:22:14 - 02:22:21 | Speaker 4:

Wait why would your dad say thank you Did you live at home with your dad And you were using his shower

02:22:21 - 02:22:31 | Speaker 8:

This was like When we were up north at my grandma's So you were at family's house Yeah Yeah, that was awkward, awkward.

02:22:32 - 02:22:40 | Speaker 4:

That is so funny. So wait a second, hold on. I'm trying to do the math equation. Me plus Dirty Thoughts of You, what did it equal again?

02:22:41 - 02:22:46 | Speaker 2:

Plus the shower head, don't forget. Plus the shower head. That's what she said.

02:22:46 - 02:22:47 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:22:47 - 02:22:56 | Speaker 8:

They say the shower head for some reason was removed not too long after that. You couldn't ever figure out why.

02:22:56 - 02:23:04 | Speaker 4:

He was trying to make sure that you weren't spending extra long showers there using all the hot water. What's up, Zach? Hi, Zach. Hi, Zach.

02:23:04 - 02:23:04 | Speaker 3:

How's it going?

02:23:05 - 02:23:07 | Speaker 4:

What's going on? Another Zach. We got a lot of Zacks here.

02:23:07 - 02:23:08 | Speaker 3:

Another Zach.

02:23:08 - 02:23:12 | Speaker 4:

KP's got a Zach. We got a Zach. You got a Zach. What's up?

02:23:12 - 02:23:20 | Speaker 3:

I am a Zach, and I actually went to school with a bunch of Zacks, so I had to change the way I spelt my name because there were so many Zacks.

02:23:21 - 02:23:28 | Speaker 4:

Really? Okay. And so it becomes an issue there.

02:23:28 - 02:23:29 | Speaker 3:

It's like Highlander.

02:23:31 - 02:23:40 | Speaker 4:

Were you hoping that it was you also getting the wrong sex stuff from KP? What's going on, Rachel? Hi.

02:23:41 - 02:23:42 | Speaker 5:

Hi, how are you?

02:23:42 - 02:23:43 | Speaker 4:

Good. What's going on?

02:23:44 - 02:24:27 | Speaker 5:

Nothing. So when I was in college, mind you, this is like 2008 or so, i had a roommate and she would get a boyfriend and she would steal my clothes and then try to politely put them back and i was texting my one friend just complaining about her like she's such a bad friend and you know she steals my stuff and puts it back and uses all my hair tools and then she texted me my the friend i was texting text me back and she was like oh my god i'm so sorry but she's like are you serious i felt so terrible that i was texting her and then my phone died while i was in class oh no i couldn't text back and like attempt to explain like what happened

02:24:27 - 02:24:38 | Speaker 4:

and she was like mad at me and never came home for like so so you were texting talking about her but you actually sent the text to her how did that mistake yeah sorry i explained because they had

02:24:38 - 02:24:51 | Speaker 5:

the same first letter of their name and i was like they were both they were both at the top of my list of, like, who I'd been texting, and I clicked the wrong one and was like, oh, crap, and my phone died after I sent the text.

02:24:51 - 02:24:56 | Speaker 4:

Somebody told me that I need to stop saving all my texts. I save all my texts.

02:24:56 - 02:24:57 | Speaker 5:

So do I.

02:24:57 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 4:

I do because I don't want, I want to have receipts.

02:25:00 - 02:25:11 | Speaker 3:

You know what I mean? So if it ever comes back, I want to make sure that I have the proof. And a lot of people say that the problem is that anytime you keyword anything, it will always come up somehow.

02:25:12 - 02:25:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:25:12 - 02:25:20 | Speaker 3:

And like the most random stuff comes up. So tell us about the Zach guy. I know. Who's better looking, him or our Zach? Because I think our Zach's pretty sexy. Our Zach.

02:25:20 - 02:25:24 | Speaker 5:

Our Zach is the most attractive man I've ever seen.

02:25:25 - 02:25:25 | Speaker 3:

Is that?

02:25:25 - 02:25:27 | Speaker 4:

And I just say this so he gets audio to me sooner.

02:25:28 - 02:25:40 | Speaker 3:

Zach, quick question though. Honestly, KP is not your first love on the show out of all the girls. Who would be your first love on the show? Shannon, 100%. Oh, you best of all. I know.

02:25:40 - 02:25:41 | Speaker 4:

I saw that wink, too.

02:25:41 - 02:25:46 | Speaker 3:

He's got a secret little crush there on one Megan. I love Megan. I love you. I'm a big fan of Megan.

02:25:47 - 02:25:50 | Speaker 5:

People don't know. You and I talk literally all day, every day.

02:25:50 - 02:25:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but I didn't receive any Happy New Year or Merry Christmas. She didn't respond to any text messages at all, by the way.

02:25:57 - 02:25:58 | Speaker 4:

This is true.

02:25:58 - 02:25:59 | Speaker 3:

Not one.

02:26:00 - 02:26:04 | Speaker 4:

You were great. MIA. It was great. She was living her best life.

02:26:04 - 02:26:06 | Speaker 3:

She was off the grid. Loved it. Let's put it that way.

02:26:06 - 02:26:07 | Speaker 2:

Loved it.

02:26:09 - 02:26:16 | Speaker 1:

The Detroit Lions don't suck. Hey, anything is possible. Go Lions. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:26:18 - 02:26:20 | Speaker 2:

Remote Beats on the chat.

02:26:25 - 02:26:52 | Speaker 1:

Hey, you know the Lions won again. You know the Lions won again You know the Lions won again All we do is win You know the Lions won again You know the Lions won again The Detroit Lions best season ever Ends with an exclamation point Win 15 They're the number one seed All we do is win

02:26:52 - 02:27:57 | Speaker 3:

Somebody needs to tell me Was Mike Tirico like extra giddy last night i was at the game so i didn't get a chance to hear it but i'm on a group text with a group of guys and they were all talking about how much they hate chris collinsworth who why do people hate him so much people just can't stand him it's so funny they all think that chris collinsworth wants to make love to anybody that's on the kansas city chiefs that he just sits there I was in love with those guys, but what's his name? Mike Tirico is from Ann Arbor, and I know he's a Lions fan. I mean, I know, listen, these guys have to be unbiased, but you're living in the town. You know the excitement. You see him, how he was at the parade. He was the Grand Marshal of the parade, and he was excited about that going on, and the guy's like one of the most professional guys ever, but deep down inside, it's your team, you know, and you want to see them win. Also, you love the idea that you don't have to drive very far or stay in a hotel probably for a game. You get to, like, stay at your home. See some fam. Yeah, so that was pretty cool.

02:27:57 - 02:28:05 | Speaker 2:

Drew Brees was at the game last night, too, with his kids. That was weird. Was he really? Yes. Why? His son is, like, wearing Jameer Gibbs' jersey. Shut up. That's cool.

02:28:06 - 02:28:23 | Speaker 3:

Here's the weirdest part. Drew Brees, who, remember, he was a Super Bowl champion with the Saints. Drew Brees was sitting in the stands and then walked up past our section with his son and was like, he was just a spectator.

02:28:23 - 02:28:24 | Speaker 2:

Like taking pictures with people.

02:28:25 - 02:28:25 | Speaker 3:

It was wild.

02:28:25 - 02:28:27 | Speaker 5:

Does he have any connection to Detroit?

02:28:28 - 02:28:30 | Speaker 2:

You know, he played at Purdue. There has to be something, man.

02:28:30 - 02:28:31 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

02:28:31 - 02:28:35 | Speaker 2:

But like literally his son is on the field wearing a Detroit Lions jersey. That's cool.

02:28:35 - 02:28:39 | Speaker 5:

That's very cool. We're America's team now, right? Come on. I can say to him.

02:28:40 - 02:28:40 | Speaker 2:

I think so.

02:28:41 - 02:28:41 | Speaker 5:

I think so.

02:28:41 - 02:28:46 | Speaker 2:

Especially when we win the Super Bowl. Their parade, oh, my God.

02:28:46 - 02:28:48 | Speaker 4:

They're already doing, like, a bus tour that I saw.

02:28:48 - 02:28:49 | Speaker 2:

Really?

02:28:49 - 02:28:55 | Speaker 4:

Like, right now, they're organizing it for, yeah, across the state. Everybody has to be rooting for us at this point, right?

02:28:55 - 02:28:57 | Speaker 5:

If your team's not in it, you're rooting for us.

02:28:57 - 02:28:58 | Speaker 3:

I.

02:28:58 - 02:28:59 | Speaker 5:

Or the Bills.

02:28:59 - 02:29:02 | Speaker 3:

I think that we have, people have jumped on the Lions bandwagon.

02:29:02 - 02:29:02 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:29:03 - 02:29:39 | Speaker 3:

Like, I think that there's a lot of people, and I know a lot of people that aren't even from, you know, this area or has ever lived in this area that are just kind of like, you know what i'm rooting for them because they've never done it before they love the dan campbell kind of approach to things that he's a gambler and you know he's dan gamble going crazy and stuff on fourth down and they love that the team works hard they love that they know that we're going through a little adversity with injuries yeah i it's it's pretty cool but i will also uh say this to you it's hard not to like them yeah even though the other teams probably don't seem like they like It's too much because we go out there and hit.

02:29:40 - 02:29:48 | Speaker 5:

I'm sorry. It's going to be a fun postseason because I don't think we're the only team like that. The Vikings have a similar story. The Bills have a similar. It's going to be a fun postseason.

02:29:49 - 02:29:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I think that I'm looking at this. I think people don't want to see Kansas City win it again.

02:29:54 - 02:29:55 | Speaker 5:

I agree.

02:29:55 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 3:

I think the only other team that I could see people getting excited about is Buffalo.

02:30:00 - 02:30:08 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. What do you think a Buffalo-Lions-Detroit Super Bowl, would that be boring for the rest of the country?

02:30:08 - 02:30:09 | Speaker 1:

No, I don't think so.

02:30:09 - 02:30:10 | Speaker 2:

You don't think so?

02:30:10 - 02:30:29 | Speaker 1:

I would prefer, I think Baltimore will be there. Baltimore is sneaky good right now, but I would prefer to beat Kansas City because they're trying to do what no team has ever done, which is win three NFL championships in a row. And for the kings of the NFL, so to speak, to be dethroned by the Lions, who are the underdogs, would just be a tremendous story.

02:30:29 - 02:30:30 | Speaker 3:

We beat them the last time we played.

02:30:31 - 02:30:31 | Speaker 1:

That would be great.

02:30:33 - 02:30:35 | Speaker 3:

I think it is going to be us Chiefs.

02:30:36 - 02:31:21 | Speaker 2:

In New Orleans. Yeah. And then what happened over the break in New Orleans was crazy to see that happening. I still don't get, like, I, you know, listen, I know that there are terrorists out there. There's no doubt that this, you know, you have terrorist incidents, And we haven't seen one like this in a bit where the guy just started driving through people, which is just insanity. But obviously there's other stories now that are coming out. Did you see that the guy was wearing one of those meta glasses? So they're now going through his videos of him walking around the days before that.

02:31:21 - 02:31:32 | Speaker 3:

Did you see the video of a girl in his apartment or like Airbnb that he was staying in or his house or something? And then there was a girl that just, like, walked into the door and was filming herself in this place after the FBI were in there.

02:31:32 - 02:31:33 | Speaker 2:

Really?

02:31:33 - 02:31:35 | Speaker 3:

So the FBI paperwork was on the countertop. Crazy.

02:31:35 - 02:31:37 | Speaker 2:

Oh. Wait, so how did—

02:31:37 - 02:31:38 | Speaker 3:

That was very interesting.

02:31:38 - 02:31:41 | Speaker 2:

Was that in his house that was in Houston, or was that in—

02:31:41 - 02:31:48 | Speaker 3:

I think so. Don't quote me on that. I don't know, but she was walking around, and he had a table set up with, like, plans and stuff.

02:31:48 - 02:32:02 | Speaker 2:

Well, the FBI totally effed that thing up from the big get-go. They said they initially said it was not a terrorist attack, which I don't know what you call a guy driving through and killing trying to hit as many people as he can.

02:32:02 - 02:32:05 | Speaker 3:

And how about the cops not putting up the barriers that they said they didn't know they had that.

02:32:05 - 02:32:31 | Speaker 2:

Did you watch any of the do you see any of the the police chief of New Orleans who who is like, we got beat by a terrorist? And she's like, well, that's all we got to say. And then they're like, well, what about these? Like, I don't even know what they call them. They call them something with bulliards or something like that. Those big metal things from the sidewalk? Yeah, the thing that just come out of the ground. And they're like, I didn't even know we had those. And I'm going, are you kidding me? Like, you didn't even know that you're in New Orleans.

02:32:31 - 02:32:35 | Speaker 4:

The police chief said that? The police chief, yeah. I did not see that. In an interview?

02:32:35 - 02:33:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, she was in the press conference. She was like in the press conference saying this stuff. But the part that I never understood, and I've been to New Orleans countless times. We used to go to New Orleans every year for this thing called Morning Show Boot Camp. I never understood why you could drive a car down a street where a bunch of drunk people were hanging out Because Bourbon Street pretty much is just like a drunk, you know, you know fun party area And you could just drive cars there and I'm like god. It's just crazy I thought about this with the game last night. Like I it's weird when an incident like this happens. What does it do? It makes you more aware of stuff in front of Ford Field They had streets blocked off with big old like moving trucks and like do that

02:33:16 - 02:33:20 | Speaker 3:

whenever a politician's downtown they they mark off all the streets with those huge like almost

02:33:20 - 02:33:55 | Speaker 2:

garbage truck looking things yeah and then they also had those things that you were talking about that these metal temporary things that you can't you had to walk through them like you could physically walk through them but you could never drive a car through them but i don't know i um and where were we talking about we're talking about the lions so we're talking about the lions and them winning. I think that if, okay, if they go to the Super Bowl, I don't think it's going to be ever an affordable ticket, even if, you know. But I think it's one of those things where I would want to be there.

02:33:55 - 02:33:56 | Speaker 3:

No, I want to be downtown.

02:33:56 - 02:34:01 | Speaker 1:

People are going to mortgage. I'd want to be here, too. People are going to mortgage everything in order to be there.

02:34:02 - 02:34:23 | Speaker 3:

There's not a ton of fans that go to the Super Bowl, though. And I think what Verizon is doing is incredibly smart by doing it at every stadium across the country. If you're a Verizon customer, you can try to win a ticket into your stadium to watch the Super Bowl. They're going to have parties literally across the country. But I would much rather be downtown where our fans are going to be.

02:34:23 - 02:34:28 | Speaker 1:

The way we've been traveling, New Orleans is going to be flooded with Detroiters.

02:34:28 - 02:34:39 | Speaker 4:

But I don't think, maybe. I agree with you. But I still personally, even, and I know you all are not going to believe me, even if I were offered a ticket to the Super Bowl, I would still want to be here, I think. I really would.

02:34:39 - 02:34:40 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to the Super Bowl.

02:34:40 - 02:34:47 | Speaker 4:

I'm also not a fan of New Orleans in general. I'm not. Wow. I've been once. I'm good. I don't ever need to go back. I love New Orleans. I didn't.

02:34:48 - 02:34:54 | Speaker 2:

See, I don't get watching it in Ford Field on the, you know, whatever the TV is. I'm not even talking about that.

02:34:54 - 02:34:56 | Speaker 4:

I would want to watch it here, like at home.

02:34:56 - 02:35:03 | Speaker 2:

But I'd rather watch it in my house or at a party with people. I have a,

02:35:03 - 02:36:48 | Speaker 3:

I have a couple of things I wanted to bring up and I wanted to bring this up this morning and I either now do it or later this week do this or before our next game, I had the craziest thing happen. I went to my friend, Alan O'Block's, his, his tailgate and I'm sitting there having a conversation talking to this guy. And as I'm talking to this guy, I'm like, you know, describe him. this guy is like a guy who looks like he goes to like a barber in Royal Oak with like really nice cut hair. And like, he's got like, what do they call it? Like a fade, I guess they would call it right in your hair and stuff. Really cool looking designer and stuff. Everything looks good. Like he's a guy that shouldn't wear a hat. And then hour or so later, this big dude walks in with a fro, like a blue fro and an outfit, a costume on like this line. And he's a guy that I've seen on television before and I said to Ellen I go Ellen who's that and he goes who's that that's the guy you've been talking to all night I go who and he goes the guy that you commented about how great his hair is and I go that's him and he's like yeah and I go he just seems like such a normal guy and I'm like all of a sudden out of the blue he's got this costume on literally out of the blue like literally out of the blue and I what I want to do is and I don't know if any of the TV stations that have ever done this, I want to talk about the people that are the people dressed up for these games, like these Lions games, the guy that, you know, dresses up in all the Lions gear and has, like, the spikes coming out of him and, you know, he's got, like, the dog collar on and he kind of, like, looks or paints his entire face or belly or something like that. And I want to know, what do they do during the week? Like, does that guy, like, work at, like, Chase Bank?

02:36:48 - 02:37:01 | Speaker 2:

You know what I mean? Well, look, we know Jason Raznick, and he goes crazy. We saw his daughter on the screen last night in a full, like, Nala Lion costume, and he runs a financial media company talking about data and investors and trading.

02:37:01 - 02:37:06 | Speaker 5:

I want to do, like, the by day, by night. Yeah. Like, side by side.

02:37:06 - 02:37:09 | Speaker 3:

But, like, I want to see what they, like, it's funny.

02:37:09 - 02:37:10 | Speaker 5:

Normal job, Lions fans.

02:37:10 - 02:37:18 | Speaker 3:

I just Googled Lions famous fans, and it comes up Kid Rock, Big Sean, Eminem. Not that. I'm talking about, where would they be?

02:37:18 - 02:37:34 | Speaker 1:

fanatic fans yeah i'm trying to get my brother to text me back his one of his really good friends dad was a meme for the lions for a very long time because he was sad at a game i think or was crying and had like a hat on or something talking about or to him i feel like we talked to him crack is

02:37:34 - 02:37:50 | Speaker 3:

okay who is the guy uh i look i google it says it says ron crack man uh super fan he's like he's he's uh he's a guy that uh that comes you know dressed up in costume this isn't a super fan that

02:37:50 - 02:38:16 | Speaker 5:

was at a game or anything but yesterday i was at the gym and it was probably a couple hours before uh kickoff and there was a guy i mean working his ass off on the elliptical and he was wearing one of those humongous gray lions hats it looks like a baseball hat but it's not this big yes it's like 20 times the size of a normal baseball hat i would like to sit next to literally had that on the elliptical that's all i could see was that bouncing up and down i would that would be like

02:38:16 - 02:38:21 | Speaker 3:

sitting next to me at a game you're not going to get much of your seat what's up george hi it's

02:38:21 - 02:39:02 | Speaker 4:

mojo in the morning how you guys doing this morning we're good man we're excited oh i'm sure you know i'll tell you um the best way if they open up the stadium for people to watch the away games those are your true fans yep right they're not season ticket holders those are people that want to take their kids to watch and what a boost of power if you're at an away game and you look up at their jumbotron and see Ford Field full. I was there when the Pistons won both years. I was at the Palace in a sold-out arena but no games going on. It's awesome. I understand that but I don't

02:39:02 - 02:39:19 | Speaker 3:

like people and so so i i i like i like like i liked seeing the game on the field or you know in back in the pistons days i liked watching the game on court i couldn't watch the game like there in the in no offense i think it is you're right it does it makes your team feel excited

02:39:19 - 02:39:31 | Speaker 4:

but um well these and the people the people that were there they were all like your buddies it was like people that you thought you knew everybody in the stadium it was awesome it is great i love

02:39:31 - 02:39:51 | Speaker 3:

the people that are regulars that have been going to these games when they were 0 and 16 and now they're getting to go to these great games you know the last couple of years where we're winning the the north um and that's awesome like we kevin i sat next to a few fans yesterday when our friend my friend uh gave me his tickets that uh that you can tell that they've put up

02:39:51 - 02:40:15 | Speaker 1:

with a lot of crap over the years i wish we as fans organized more like things in the crowd Wouldn't it be great when we were on 16? I mean, it was traditional for us to wear paper bags on our head with just the eye holes cut out, like embarrassed to be here season ticket holder. I would love if people wore, like, paper bags on their head that had the whole face cut out. So, like, we still have the paper bags, but now we're willing to show our faces. That's cool. I would love that.

02:40:15 - 02:40:27 | Speaker 4:

Where are the paper bag guys now? Because now they can come out and actually – They're in Tennessee. No. Well, no, but I'm right. Yeah. They're with other teams. Oh, yeah. But some of those fans are getting to enjoy it. What's up, Ben? Hi.

02:40:27 - 02:40:35 | Speaker 2:

Hey, good morning. Go Lions, everybody. Yeah. Your turn.

02:40:35 - 02:40:35 | Speaker 4:

What's going on?

02:40:37 - 02:40:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, so I know the crank man, Ron's his name. He lives up near me in northern suburb of Detroit. The guy is just a peach. He dresses every day in those bib overalls with his socks up over the overalls.

02:40:52 - 02:40:54 | Speaker 4:

He dresses like that all the time?

02:40:55 - 02:41:13 | Speaker 2:

Every time I've seen him in public, he is dressed up. in that wacky Lions get-up. But we rolled into a restaurant one day and saw him wear his Ford F-150 all decked out in Lions, was parked at his house. We know where he lives. His house is painted Lions colors. Really?

02:41:13 - 02:41:16 | Speaker 3:

Like I told one lady.

02:41:17 - 02:41:31 | Speaker 2:

To our kids and, like, just tries to get him really excited about the Lions. This was, like, last year when things just went, you know, down the drain for us. But he's just the nicest guy and just probably the best diehard fan for the Lions that has ever existed.

02:41:32 - 02:41:32 | Speaker 1:

Love that.

02:41:32 - 02:41:38 | Speaker 4:

Listen, hold on. Here's his name. His name is actually appropriate with this. His name is Ron Crackola. Hold on.

02:41:40 - 02:42:11 | Speaker 3:

My name is Ron Crackola, a.k.a. Crack Man. I grew up in Utica, Michigan, a little farming community back then. My dad bought there in 57. You know, I'd go with my dad to the games at Tiger Stadium, and it was just awesome, the crowd, you know, and the center field, you know, you had diehard fans there. You know, my dad knew people, and after the game, a lot of players would go across the street to Hoot Robinsons, and, you know, you get some autographs. This guy's like, wow. It was just a lot of fun, and I loved outside, the cold weather.

02:42:11 - 02:42:16 | Speaker 4:

Do we know if Ron, is Ron a taken man? Megan's looking for somebody. Absolutely.

02:42:16 - 02:42:26 | Speaker 2:

It was like, go Lions, baby! You know, diehard. Ron was just there with a bunch of buddies his age having a few beers on a nice, nice, you know, fall day. It was great.

02:42:26 - 02:42:48 | Speaker 4:

These guys that I was tailgating with yesterday, like, multiple of them are dressing up and they're doing their thing. And I'm, like, going, man, you guys go home. How long does it take you to get all that stuff off? You know what I mean? Like, this game last night didn't end until almost midnight. And then you're two hours in the parking garage. By the time you get home, they finally get the paint off their face right now. I took them over.

02:42:48 - 02:43:03 | Speaker 3:

Now, my dad don't go anymore with me. He says, I'm out of control. The last game he was at, I got all, it was a touchdown. I stood up and my arm went flying. I almost knocked him over. He said, that's it, kid. You're out of control. I'm done with this, you know. I watch it at home on the TV.

02:43:06 - 02:43:16 | Speaker 4:

The funny thing is, could you imagine his dad finally admitting to Ron this many years later, 50-plus years later, Ron, you're an idiot for dressing up.

02:43:16 - 02:43:20 | Speaker 2:

No. No, do what you love.

02:43:21 - 02:43:21 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:43:21 - 02:43:26 | Speaker 2:

Put time into doing what you love, and you can tell he loves it because he's been there the whole time.

02:43:26 - 02:43:38 | Speaker 4:

It is great. Listen, these are the ones who should be in the, you know, the Superdome for the Super Bowl. Well, they're at the draft. Not the rich people that are the sponsors and stuff like that. I get that.

02:43:39 - 02:43:48 | Speaker 5:

See, that's what I mean. Wouldn't you want to watch with true fans versus some guy who can afford a $12,000 ticket? Absolutely. Who's not even a true fan but can just simply afford to be there.

02:43:48 - 02:43:57 | Speaker 4:

That's how it is when you finally get a chance to sit close and you're rah-rah-an and they look at you like, what are you doing? We don't need that up here. Yeah. I think, honestly.

02:43:57 - 02:44:09 | Speaker 2:

If you are the Ford family, you need to get that guy on a private jet to the game, take good care of him, because he spent more of his own money on your organization than just about anybody else.

02:44:09 - 02:44:26 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. That's the one thing about what Minnesota did with buying up all those tickets. I mean, I think that that's a great way as a team to say, you know what, we care about our fans. But, all right, thanks for the call, man. I appreciate it, Ben. If you talk to Crackman, tell him Mojo was talking about him and tell him to give us a call if we can, okay?

02:44:27 - 02:44:31 | Speaker 2:

I will. Thanks, guys. Go Lions. Go Blue. Happy New Year. Yes.

02:44:33 - 02:45:27 | Speaker 4:

Being a Detroit Lions fan has literally never been this fun. This is Mojo in the Morning. I'll tell you what would be more fun. Us winning this whole thing. Wouldn't that be fun? Could you imagine? Don't say it yet. We got Tate McCray tickets for you. A chance to text and win. Text Tate, T-A-T-E, to 95500. Text Tate, T-A-T-E, to 95500. That show is... coming up at the end, or actually I think like fall, the show's already sold out. So this thing's sold out right away and now it's going for like I think like Taylor Swift prices which is pretty crazy to think how many people want to go see Tate McRae and didn't get their tickets. Now they're willing to pay a bunch of money for him. The show is in August, August the 16th. Text Tate to 95500. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Alright, Shannon, what you got in this hour is Dirty on the 30.

02:45:27 - 02:45:58 | Speaker 3:

Quote-unquote, great job. I'll see you in two weeks. That is what Lions head coach Dan Campbell was overheard telling Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell after our big win against the Vikings last night. And it is very much a possibility that that is going to happen. Round three between the Vikings and the Lions could be happening in a couple of weeks if the Vikings, Eagles, and Buccaneers all advance to the division round of the playoffs. That match could happen.

02:45:59 - 02:46:10 | Speaker 4:

We mentioned it earlier this morning that actually is kind of a rallying cry for a locker room cry. If you're like somebody that plays for the Rams this week against the Minnesota Vikings. That bulletin board with cereal.

02:46:11 - 02:47:50 | Speaker 3:

Zendaya had everybody talking on the Golden Globes red carpet last night when she showed up in an absolutely stunning rust color Louis Vuitton gown. A brand new tin length haircut, but all people could zone in on was the huge engagement ring that was on her left ring finger. She walked the red carpet solo and, of course, looked absolutely incredible. But on her left hand, there it was, sparking rumors that she is engaged to her boyfriend, Tom Holland. Now, everybody in both camps is being very quiet about this. I do know a couple of things. The ring is not by Bulgari. The rest of her jewelry was this ring is a two hundred thousand dollar Jessica McCormick ring, a London based jeweler. And it is an engagement ring, according to Jessica McCormick's people. So. Oh, this is no news. That's all I'm going to say. Yeah, they said it was like five thousand and some nobody. No, that's Dua Lipa. Dua Lipa is engaged. That also not confirmed, but she is wearing a ring from Tiffany and Company that you're right. Kev, you were listening this morning, reportedly cost around $5,000. The internet hates it. They think it's ugly. They think it's cheap. They expected more. But it's just so silly. From the Golden Globes to the Palm Springs Film Festival, which just happened as well, tons of big names in attendance, including Ariana Grande, who thanked fillers Botox and Juvederm in her acceptance speech for the Rising Star Award, but then later said she hasn't had any of the above in years i'm still clean i'm still clean but when i start going

02:47:50 - 02:47:57 | Speaker 5:

one of the men accused of selling drugs to liam payne has finally been arrested a judge in argentina who is leading the investigation has updated charges against the five people in connection with Liam's death. One is a restaurant waiter. His name is Brian Paez. He is accused of selling him drugs, said he met Liam twice. They did drugs together, but he swears he never sold any to the singer or accepted money from him. He, along with a hotel worker at the hotel where Liam tragically fell to his death, could face anywhere from four to 15 years in prison if they're Thank you.

02:50:00 - 02:50:14 | Speaker 5:

found guilty of selling him drugs and I'm gonna play this again I played it earlier but it's too good to only play one time a Hooters waitress in Sarasota Florida trying to flirt her way out of a DUI this is Sophia Gabrielle

02:50:14 - 02:50:54 | Speaker 4:

leave. We're gonna make out here. We're gonna make out here. No, we're not. Turn off the lights. Turn off the lights. We're gonna make out. Wait, wait, stay right there. Oh, it's my bad. It's my bad. I gotta pee, bro. I know. I gotta pee, bro. I gotta pee. Okay, do you want to try this first exercise for me? I will do anything for you, Daddy. All right. You in that suit? Can you put your feet together? My seat is together. And your hand side to your side. Whatever you say, Daddy. Okay. Now before we start. No, let's grab my flashlight. Oh, whatever you want, Daddy. Okay.

02:50:55 - 02:50:57 | Speaker 3:

Wow. She keeps calling him Daddy, I don't know.

02:50:57 - 02:51:00 | Speaker 5:

She reposted it on TikTok, and the caption just said Uber is cheaper.

02:51:00 - 02:51:05 | Speaker 3:

Yo, do you think she keeps her job? At Tudor's. I don't know.

02:51:06 - 02:51:08 | Speaker 2:

Because I think people would come just to see her.

02:51:17 - 02:51:19 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:51:20 - 02:51:38 | Speaker 3:

So we talked about how Kev recently went through a breakup. Actually, it's been going on for a bit. He finally talked about it on the radio, but it's been going on for a few months. He is now back to possibly dating. He says he's not dating, but you said that you went on a dating app.

02:51:38 - 02:51:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm on Tinder. Swiping.

02:51:41 - 02:51:45 | Speaker 3:

And something that happened to you on Tinder may get you off Tinder very, very fast.

02:51:45 - 02:52:17 | Speaker 2:

Man, I saw my sister on there. My little sister on Tinder, though. I'm swiping. I'm going through the little heart. Well, I swipe, but I like doing the hit the like button and the not like button. I like doing that as opposed to swiping left and right. So I'm going through. I'm hitting my likes, hitting my dislikes. And who do I see pop up on my phone but my little sister, Melinda. And, of course, I had to like her. Did you know she was on Tinder? No, this was a surprise. I had no idea.

02:52:18 - 02:52:31 | Speaker 3:

When you like on Tinder, because I've never been on Tinder. When you like on Tinder, can you like, like, I like on Instagram? I'm holding up my phone so Mojo can see. This is just a random person.

02:52:32 - 02:52:39 | Speaker 2:

So you can go through, look at it, and be like, all right, bit. Nah, that's a no. Then you hit nope. And you go and be like, all right, bit. That's a yeah. So it's like that.

02:52:39 - 02:52:51 | Speaker 3:

So if you do all right bet and you all right bet your sister, aren't you going to see more of her? What do you mean? Like, aren't you telling Tinder you're interested in her?

02:52:51 - 02:52:51 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:52:52 - 02:52:53 | Speaker 2:

I say I like her.

02:52:53 - 02:52:57 | Speaker 3:

I understand that, but you don't want to like her because if you like her, it's going to now send messages.

02:52:57 - 02:53:03 | Speaker 2:

I know, but it's my sister, so I was like, man, whatever. You wanted to give her some good self-esteem? You know what I'm saying? And then, guess what? She liked me back.

02:53:03 - 02:53:10 | Speaker 3:

But then it shows up in hers that there's a guy that likes her, and then she goes in there and goes, ah. Yeah, she did. Oh, my God.

02:53:10 - 02:53:14 | Speaker 2:

And then I got a notification shortly thereafter that said, you have a new match.

02:53:15 - 02:53:31 | Speaker 3:

And it was Melinda. How is it that you guys have the same name and last name and all this stuff? That's crazy. How does it not know that you guys, there's got to be algorithm issues. Has anybody ever had this happen to them where they matched with somebody like way too close for comfort? Oh, my God.

02:53:31 - 02:53:45 | Speaker 5:

My friend matched with her ex-fiancee who called off their wedding and they matched on there. isn't that was awful maybe they were truly meant to be no they were not he sucks damn so i'm not

02:53:45 - 02:53:59 | Speaker 1:

on a dating app but now they have this thing where you can type in the first and last name of somebody you do not want to match with or someone that you don't want seeing your profile oh that's that for tinder or for all of them um just for hinge and tinder okay i would want that

02:53:59 - 02:54:43 | Speaker 3:

uh in the case of a bad x right you would want to put them on there is it's kind of like blocking them on social media yeah um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is our telephone number has this ever happened to you and i've heard like i've heard of people that will you know like like a finsta like they'll have like a fake you know uh instagram or whatever it is and but they'll have a fake for tinder or hinge or bumble or whatever in hopes of being able to go and see what's out there without people knowing it's them and then i've heard that that's where they found people that they know on there you know but i don't i to me first off that is just still i think weird

02:54:43 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 2:

that you you actually liked your sister i'm supposed to just ignore her and then when i when i popped up or when it popped up that she had matched me back oh she probably screamed i'm like hey cutie that's how i play with my sister man we have fun with it okay question have you

02:55:00 - 02:55:01 | Speaker 1:

gone out on any dates from anybody on Tinder?

02:55:00 - 02:55:29 | Speaker 5:

Thank you.

02:55:01 - 02:55:02 | Speaker 4:

No, I haven't.

02:55:02 - 02:55:02 | Speaker 1:

Nothing?

02:55:02 - 02:55:03 | Speaker 4:

I'm not trying to.

02:55:03 - 02:55:04 | Speaker 1:

Are you talking to anybody on Tinder?

02:55:04 - 02:55:06 | Speaker 4:

Nope. Okay. No. I'm not.

02:55:06 - 02:55:09 | Speaker 1:

I'm just asking all the questions that all the people want to know.

02:55:09 - 02:55:29 | Speaker 4:

I'm not paying for Tinder either. So it's this area. So if I match with somebody who matches with me, then we can start messaging, which hasn't happened at all. Okay. Really? Yeah. People who like you, though, they'll pop up as likes, but you have to pay in order to see who likes you. And I'm not on that, bro. I'm not about to pay for love. That's not how I'm getting down.

02:55:29 - 02:55:34 | Speaker 3:

Have you been surprised by what's out there? Because you haven't been in the dating world in a while.

02:55:34 - 02:55:48 | Speaker 4:

I don't know what's out there. That's what I'm saying. I'm not matched with anybody on Tinder. And I only made a Tinder profile, so I'm not, you know, in the Bumbles and the Hinges and all of those. Do you think he should be on anything specific at all, any of the singles of the show?

02:55:48 - 02:55:49 | Speaker 2:

They're all trash.

02:55:49 - 02:55:55 | Speaker 4:

What's her name? What's her name? KP said I need to be on Hinge. She said that's where they hit. Get on Hinge if you want to find real love.

02:55:55 - 02:55:57 | Speaker 2:

You have to pay so much money for Hinge, though.

02:55:57 - 02:56:00 | Speaker 4:

And I'm not on that. I'm not trying to really date anybody for real.

02:56:00 - 02:56:09 | Speaker 2:

It's like there was one plan. Remember, I talked about it. That was $100 and the other plan was $150. And you can use it without paying for it, but it's almost useless.

02:56:10 - 02:56:11 | Speaker 4:

That's how I feel like Tinder right now.

02:56:11 - 02:56:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. You can have like three conversations for 48 hours or something before it deletes it. And you have to. It's so annoying. Megan, we should just go out.

02:56:20 - 02:56:51 | Speaker 1:

No, our Instagram would love that. We haven't talked about this, but right before we went on break, we posted a photo of all of us. Mojo took us out to an incredible lunch to celebrate the show in 2024, and there was like a, we took a picture in front of the Christmas tree at the place that we went to lunch, and you guys just happened to be standing by each other, which we don't sit there and organize who's standing by who. Did you see the comments? No, I didn't. Oh my God, people are like dying for you guys to go out. So many people would be like, I knew it, I knew it.

02:56:52 - 02:56:53 | Speaker 3:

Carly, what's up?

02:56:54 - 02:57:09 | Speaker 6:

Hi. Hi, so it's funny. I actually got on Tinder after getting out of a 13-year relationship. But I was babysitting my niece, who's seven, and she thought it was the funnest game ever. She's like, you have so many votes.

02:57:10 - 02:57:17 | Speaker 3:

Look at you. Did you match with anybody that you shouldn't have been matching with that you were not excited about?

02:57:17 - 02:57:40 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, she swiped on a few 70-year-old and 80-year-old dudes. Which was great, but no, I actually am currently living with my boyfriend that I met on that. And ironically enough, he looked at my photos and found out that he had made out with my little sister.

02:57:40 - 02:57:41 | Speaker 3:

Oh, wow.

02:57:41 - 02:57:42 | Speaker 6:

Years ago.

02:57:43 - 02:57:48 | Speaker 3:

How wild is that? Wait, was the boyfriend that you're with right now one of your niece's swipes?

02:57:49 - 02:57:49 | Speaker 6:

Yes.

02:57:50 - 02:57:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. That's wild.

02:57:51 - 02:57:52 | Speaker 6:

Give her my phone.

02:57:52 - 02:57:59 | Speaker 3:

Somebody just texted in and said Kev, worse than matching with your sister I matched with my mom

02:57:59 - 02:58:00 | Speaker 4:

Oh

02:58:00 - 02:58:09 | Speaker 2:

Why don't you swipe it right? You just gotta take a screen grab Text it in, go LOL And swipe left

02:58:09 - 02:58:12 | Speaker 3:

Oh my god, that would freak you out

02:58:12 - 02:58:17 | Speaker 5:

Swiping on Bumble And never replying to any guy's messages Counts as putting myself out there, right?

02:58:17 - 02:58:20 | Speaker 4:

This is Mojo in the Morning

02:58:20 - 02:58:34 | Speaker 5:

WKQI Detroit WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids WVKS Toledo Three great stations One stupid show This is Mojo in the Morning Live

02:58:34 - 02:59:26 | Speaker 3:

Alright it is the Mojo in the Morning show Mojo and Shannon Megan Kev KP Lydia and Zach Good to be back Good to have everybody here. I hope everybody had a good Christmas. Got to spend time with all of my family, although it was kind of a little bit disjointed because we spent some time with Jacob when we were having Christmas here in town. And then we left and went down and visited Joe and spent time with him. And it's weird when not all of you are there together on the same day and everybody is there together. We did have a good Thanksgiving together. And I know, Shannon, you said that it was kind of a tough one for you because on Christmas Eve you saw your kids and then Christmas Day you did not.

02:59:27 - 02:59:31 | Speaker 1:

First time ever I didn't see my kids for even a minute on Christmas Day. Yeah, it was a tough one.

02:59:31 - 02:59:37 | Speaker 3:

So usually in the past you guys would split time on each day or whatever, or is that how it was?

02:59:37 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it it just it changed for the first time this year just because of like the way the holiday fell and families and plans. And so it was just easier for the kids to spend to have like our Christmas morning on Christmas Eve morning. And then that way they could be with their dad all day.

03:00:00 - 03:01:07 | Speaker 2:

on christmas day and not be going back and forth all day so i always wondered if that i got friends that you know i've never been been divorced or been through a divorce as a kid but i always had friends that did it and i used to hate it because they their parent one parent did not live in our neighborhood and then they would have to leave and go over there and then one of my buddies his parents wouldn't let them bring their toys back and forth which oh that stinks was crazy i've been Or clothes. They couldn't bring clothes. They had mom's clothes and dad's clothes. And dad's clothes were not as nice as mom's clothes. I've been petty like that. Mom was buying nice clothes and dad was not buying nice clothes because dad wasn't giving a crap or he wasn't picking it out. But that sucks. I will say that something I never realized until we had our pre-show meeting and we were talking today was Lydia's conversation that she had with us in the pre-show. And I want you to bring us to the air. Because I think there's a lot of people that are just like you, Lydia, that think about a lot of things during the holidays. And for those who don't know this, Lydia, are you an only child?

03:01:07 - 03:01:22 | Speaker 4:

I am. So I do have a half-brother and a half-sister. However, I didn't really grow up with them because they were my dad's kids, and they were also very old. I mean, comparison. Wait, how much older are they? So my brother's 40 and my sister's 45.

03:01:23 - 03:01:26 | Speaker 3:

Okay, and you don't really have a relationship with your half-sister, right?

03:01:26 - 03:01:27 | Speaker 4:

No, not at all.

03:01:28 - 03:01:30 | Speaker 3:

But you do have a relationship kind of with your half-brother?

03:01:30 - 03:01:49 | Speaker 4:

I have a really good relationship with him. We just have nothing in common, growing up at least. I mean, now we do. Because they were out of the house by the time you were born. Yeah, and I feel like growing up with an older brother who's like 13 years older than you, it's like, what is there to talk about? But now there's a little bit more in common, and his wife loves Taylor Swift. So that's why I grew up there.

03:01:49 - 03:01:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's who you went with to the Taylor Swift concert.

03:01:51 - 03:02:11 | Speaker 4:

Yes. However, we spent this Christmas just me and my parents. So my brother hung out with his wife's family and we didn't know what we were going to do this Christmas. We were thinking on Christmas Day, we're like, we'll just make a nice dinner and stay home. And then I thought, why not just go to Frankenmuth? So my family and I drove to Frankenmuth.

03:02:11 - 03:02:14 | Speaker 2:

And you say family, your mom and your dad. My mom and my dad, yeah.

03:02:15 - 03:02:35 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we drove to Frankenmuth. And as I was sitting there and we were talking, we got pretty deep. And I mentioned that I felt like my kids are going to grow up alone. Because if it's just the three of us on Christmases, now what happens when I have kids? It's like they're not going to have any cousins on my side of the family. And I feel like that sucks.

03:02:35 - 03:02:36 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah.

03:02:36 - 03:02:57 | Speaker 4:

Because when I grew up without having siblings in the house, I mean, I feel like I have only child syndrome. and I was pretty spoiled, but I think it would have been nice to grow up with having like a sister or a brother that was around my age. And I mean, I'm obviously willing to give that to my kids if God allows me to do so. However, I don't think that they're going to have any cousins to

03:02:57 - 03:03:08 | Speaker 2:

grow up with on my side. Which to me is kind of wild because most Chaldean people that I know have like 8,000 cousins. Matter of fact, many of them end up marrying or dating them.

03:03:09 - 03:03:15 | Speaker 4:

I mean, that's true. I have a lot of cousins. I mean, my dad had, like, what? He has, like, seven brothers and, like, four sisters.

03:03:15 - 03:03:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

03:03:15 - 03:03:21 | Speaker 3:

Although, I guess you could marry somebody who has brothers and sisters that have kids, and so your kids would have cousins.

03:03:22 - 03:03:23 | Speaker 2:

Those all come from one side of the family.

03:03:23 - 03:03:25 | Speaker 3:

But it would just be on one side, right?

03:03:25 - 03:03:25 | Unknown:

Right.

03:03:25 - 03:03:29 | Speaker 3:

So you would just have to have your mom and dad come to their Christmas. Yeah.

03:03:30 - 03:03:34 | Speaker 2:

What if we get George to get a little frisky with Diane?

03:03:35 - 03:03:42 | Speaker 4:

Do you know what I would make a wish? I'd blow out a candle for a sibling. That was something I wanted If you mention the wish then you're not going to get it

03:03:42 - 03:03:45 | Speaker 2:

Lady you just got to have like six kids Or something like that

03:03:45 - 03:03:47 | Speaker 4:

I want six kids actually

03:03:47 - 03:03:48 | Speaker 2:

Six on a dot

03:03:48 - 03:03:52 | Speaker 4:

I always wanted to be the Kris Jenner of my family

03:03:52 - 03:04:26 | Speaker 2:

I have to tell you that We you know Having growing up with six kids I thought it was Actually kind of a bad thing Because there were so many of us That it made like Christmas feel like Some of you were kind of I was the baby, so I always got spoiled, but, like, my middle brother, he felt like he got, you know, dicked by my parents because they didn't get, you know, everything they wanted. I would think that you would be great because everybody's doting on just you, but then I think about that would be a boring Christmas. You watch one kid opening presents that's like, all right, that's it. Like, half the fun is showing everybody what you got.

03:04:26 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 1:

I'm surprised you say that, and this actually makes me feel really bad for my dad because he was one of six, and they had a ton of foster kids in and out of the house as well. So at any time, there are eight to 10 kids in the house. And he always wanted a huge family. He wanted six kids as well and just didn't work out for him and his planning. But it always made me really sad because I see him almost act like a grandfather with my cousin's kids because we're all a super close family. Like Lydia, we're Irish Catholic. So like there's a ton of us, too. I think I have 58 cousins.

03:05:00 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

03:05:01 - 03:05:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, there's a bunch of us. There is a bunch of us. And I think about my dad when he's around the little ones and knowing that my brother and I won't be giving him that experience of his own makes me incredibly sad. It makes me feel so guilty. It's not changing my mind, but it does make me really sad. He can come over to my house. He would love it. And he's great with kids. Yeah. Like he enjoys it. And he's like, it's so upsetting.

03:05:27 - 03:05:40 | Speaker 1:

Lydia, we need to find Lydia some secret family members or something like that. She needs to adopt some family. I am so good. Maybe this is why you become so attached to our breaking and entering Christmas wish families. Because you want to be around more people.

03:05:41 - 03:05:42 | Unknown:

Come here.

03:05:42 - 03:05:56 | Speaker 1:

This is kind of, people don't realize this. During the break, Lydia goes out and takes some of the families out or some of the letter writers out and spends time with them past the wishes that we grant. What's up, Liz? It would be incredible.

03:05:56 - 03:06:50 | Speaker 3:

Hi. So, I wanted to mention that last year was kind of hard for me. So, I found out that my mom had lymphoma. She had cancer. It was kind of hard for me because you don't think, like, your mom, especially when you're growing up with her all your life, thinking that she had cancer, that was kind of hard for me. And then I had my husband, right after I found out my mom had cancer, my husband had a seizure. So it was like back-to-back. So last year, Christmas was hard. This year, my mom is fine now. She beat cancer or whatever. Yay. Yay. Yes. So it's nice and rewarding. I have my mom. My husband, on the other hand, he had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. And I had Christmas Eve off, but I had to work Christmas Day. So it was kind of like, I feel like this whole year and last year was just such a mess. So it felt very lonely, some I feel.

03:06:50 - 03:06:56 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Well, we're sorry that that's the case. I felt like it didn't feel like the holidays for some reason.

03:06:56 - 03:06:56 | Speaker 3:

It didn't.

03:06:56 - 03:07:01 | Speaker 1:

Like, I didn't feel like, I don't know if it was the weather or what it was, but I felt like.

03:07:01 - 03:07:29 | Speaker 3:

I feel like it's that, and, like, I try to make the best for the kids as well. Like, having my kids, like, you know, and I'm like, I've been a stay-at-home mom since I had my kids, and now I'm working now, like, after, like, 10 years. but it's still like having those little moments I try to make the best for them like you know what I mean like it's just they they see that you know what I mean even though dad's working or like if mom's working or if something's going on we always try to make the best for them you know yeah I mean

03:07:29 - 03:07:56 | Speaker 1:

that's the thing and a lot of people will say well if you're not around little little kids it doesn't feel like it's as fun Christmas I mean especially like my kids were like I didn't really get a lot of presents and chelsea does a ton for them but it's like their presents now are so much more expensive than their presents when they were kids you know i miss i do miss the days of kids opening just the freaking box and they're excited about the box naz hey good morning happy new year y'all

03:07:56 - 03:09:25 | Speaker 4:

yes good morning what's going on everyone had a beautiful holiday i relate to the last caller and I also relate to Lydia so on my side of the family it's just my aunt my mom died when I was little and then my dad died a while ago but he's a little but anyways my son's family it's just one person and myself but on my baby daddy's side he's got a huge family and it's amazing and I look at my kids and they're excited to hang out with their cousins and they're excited to hang out with everybody and I feel like I offer nothing it is the most it is the strangest feeling and like when I was younger I worked every holiday I always I worked I was a nurse and I just I picked up I worked for everybody so they could spend time with their kids and then I didn't work and I just like it's lonely like no matter what you always have that internal loneliness like you're all you have this longing so like i feel this but i love everybody who has this going on and like i've hated christmas forever and my goal this year is to be i want to try to raise money for you guys for breaking and entering christmas i'm 42 my kids have like lemonade stands and that's what they want to donate their money to breaking and entering christmas that's incredible

03:09:25 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 1:

By the way, we love you for doing that. And I think that is so awesome that this year was one of the best years we ever had on Breaking and Entering Christmas. By the way, the last Christmas wish that we did for the single dad, it went viral in a huge way. And a lot of it made me realize that sometimes it's one of those stories that grabs onto you because you don't hear a lot about the single dads that are raising their kids. um but but thank you any help that you can give uh mojos wish.org and just get in contact with

03:10:00 - 03:10:03 | Speaker 3:

us and we do it throughout the year it's not just at christmas time that we do breaking and entering

03:10:03 - 03:10:06 | Speaker 1:

i want to make sure lydia saves your phone number so that we can talk to you

03:10:06 - 03:10:13 | Speaker 3:

in december yeah hold on one sec what's up alex hey first time long time

03:10:13 - 03:10:35 | Speaker 2:

yeah so um both me and my husband are only children and we haven't had any kids yet but we would like to in the future and i think it'll be interesting to kind of see how that goes my husband has a pretty big extended family and i also think family is more than just who your

03:10:35 - 03:10:50 | Speaker 3:

blood related to that's true that's wild though you guys are both only children together how does that work do you guys fight over uh everything with each other like no i feel like once you grow

03:10:50 - 03:11:06 | Speaker 2:

up and you've lived a little bit i mean i think you just learn how to live with like your partner i mean i still have my parents growing up it's not like they just let me do whatever i wanted so i think it's it's a little bit different but i think it's really not that different

03:11:06 - 03:11:11 | Speaker 3:

some people think lydia could you would you want to get with an only child or no no i'm too selfish

03:11:11 - 03:11:25 | Speaker 1:

you want to have a big family that you can call gonna be selfish too oh really you know with my space i can't i can't share like there's certain things i just can't share and that's what being an only child has done to me i mean in my own personal space that's so funny because i don't

03:11:25 - 03:11:29 | Speaker 3:

see her as that not at all but that but that's interesting because maybe like sharing a room

03:11:29 - 03:11:33 | Speaker 1:

sharing clothes all that sounds yeah i mean you know you have to do that when you get married

03:11:33 - 03:11:49 | Speaker 3:

right yeah okay poor bastard um but the whole idea of lydia talking about this alex is that She wants to go to Christmases with many people and not just a few people. Although it does make for getting good reservations if you go out on Christmas Eve.

03:11:50 - 03:12:02 | Speaker 2:

Not just that. What you don't think about is that if your parents want to spend Christmas with you, it's that you are fighting over the same holiday because you're both only children. Your parents really want to see you.

03:12:02 - 03:12:04 | Speaker 3:

Oh, wow. You guys got to do it.

03:12:04 - 03:12:06 | Speaker 1:

Hopefully everybody gets along and you just do it together.

03:12:06 - 03:12:08 | Speaker 3:

Do you guys do that or no?

03:12:08 - 03:12:18 | Speaker 2:

um we haven't done that yet just because we don't live super close to either side but i think in the future especially when we have kids that's going to have to be a conversation they got to come to

03:12:18 - 03:12:41 | Speaker 3:

you that is tough yeah that for us in our family with uh the having boys it's tough because we realize that the girls families are going to probably win out you know where the boy like the boys are you know never just go yeah i want to spend i want to be with my mom you know you don't see that as much as you see the girls' families kind of being the family that they go to. Is it default

03:12:41 - 03:12:45 | Speaker 1:

girls or is it just whoever has a better family that's easier to get along? Well, that could be.

03:12:46 - 03:12:53 | Speaker 3:

Chelsea and I used to always say that the best person for our kids to date were orphans. We would like to date just somebody that has...

03:12:53 - 03:12:55 | Speaker 1:

Then you get them for every single holiday.

03:12:55 - 03:13:01 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, there you go. Alright, it's Mojo in the Morning. We're back. Second date update next.

03:13:02 - 03:13:03 | Speaker 4:

Why aren't you getting a call back?

03:13:03 - 03:13:05 | Unknown:

Why did she call me back?

03:13:05 - 03:13:08 | Speaker 4:

We'll find out next with Mojo in the Morning's second date update.

03:13:08 - 03:13:10 | Speaker 2:

She was going to have my babies.

03:13:13 - 03:13:16 | Speaker 1:

It's time for more Mojo. Mojo in the Morning.

03:13:17 - 03:13:20 | Speaker 4:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

03:13:20 - 03:13:39 | Speaker 3:

All right, why are you not getting a call after you went on a date? We're going to find out right now. Second date update is on the Mojo in the Morning show. Text DATE to 95500 if you're being ghosted, and we'll get you on the show. Shane is on with us right now. Shane, you're being ghosted? Hey, I am.

03:13:39 - 03:13:45 | Speaker 4:

How are you, Shane? Other than being ghosted, I guess I'm all right.

03:13:45 - 03:14:00 | Speaker 3:

I know. It's like, I know, it's so bad. It's like, how's your day going? Well, not great. I'm calling up the show to figure out why a girl's not calling me back. You guys met. You guys went out. How did you guys meet? Where did you guys connect with each other?

03:14:00 - 03:14:15 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we met on Hinge, and we chatted, and, like, chatted one night, and I was like, let's go out the next day. Took her out to eat, and haven't heard from her since. Yeah.

03:14:16 - 03:14:19 | Speaker 1:

How did it end? We always ask this question because it kind of gives us some good insight.

03:14:21 - 03:14:29 | Speaker 4:

Well, I mean, like, not to kiss and tell her or whatever, but, like, she did come home with me. We did hook up, so I thought it ended pretty well.

03:14:30 - 03:14:52 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Interesting. So you guys went out, had fun with each other, and now she's not calling you back. That's usually something that happens to the girls that call our show or women that call our show. It doesn't really happen to guys. So it's kind of interesting. We're going to find out what's going on. Lexi is on with us right now. Lexi, will you say hello to Shane?

03:14:55 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Hello? Hello?

03:14:59 - 03:15:02 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's up? hi

03:15:02 - 03:15:21 | Speaker 5:

Lexi was was your this is a little awkward although I feel like you kind of make it a little bit more awkward by the way that you kind of I mean you guys you guys went out and is everything that he said so far that you've heard correct

03:15:21 - 03:16:08 | Speaker 3:

I mean yeah like we went out we got food and like that's it yeah but i haven't like responded to him but yeah everything he said is like legit and why why haven't you responded i mean he said he has like like 80 i don't know like a lot of student debt like like 80k and like school debt and like i just i don't want him to feel like shame about it or anything but like i don't have any loans okay so i just want someone like within like that similar landscape you know what i mean so what you guys talked about your

03:16:08 - 03:16:16 | Speaker 6:

your your school debt about your uh your college debt indeed i don't know if we like talked about

03:16:16 - 03:16:23 | Speaker 3:

it but he brought it like he said he was in debt so like i took that to heart like what am i supposed

03:16:23 - 03:16:57 | Speaker 2:

to do with that information so is that right so you talked about this at dinner didn't matter to you i mean you went and hooked up okay but that is well that has nothing to do with it but it but it has everything to do with it because it's it's it's something that you don't like about him you don't, you just said you don't want that in a relationship. Yeah, hooking up has nothing to do with his student loan. But I don't, I guess I don't understand why that's like a no-go, a reason for her, for you to not text him back.

03:16:57 - 03:17:02 | Speaker 3:

I'm just not, I don't know, like I want someone more like fiscally responsible, but it doesn't mean I'm not going to hook up with you.

03:17:04 - 03:17:39 | Speaker 4:

Somebody's not fiscally responsible. I'm half and half with her i'm half and half half of me is like listen everybody has student loan debt that's like the one day i can look around as long as we're making payments on it you know it's not like you racked up 80 grand in a credit card bill that would be different to me that would be different to me i completely agree with you i have no problem with you having an issue with somebody having a lot of debt the student loan one just like a like when i had a mortgage very common technically debt like that's normal debt versus irresponsible debt like racking up like

03:17:39 - 03:18:15 | Speaker 5:

you said a credit card or something can i can i just say this though if i spend a night with somebody and we had long conversations we finally go back and have sex with each other and the only thing that she came away after we had sex with each other was the fact that i had student debt the sex must not have been that great oh you think she lying no no i'm just wondering like it's like Like, you know what I mean? Like, you look past certain things. But I don't know. Like, does that stick in your head? It wasn't the dick. It was the dick. That's what you're saying. Right. I just think there was something else. Actually, I actually, am I right?

03:18:15 - 03:18:19 | Speaker 1:

You agree? You can overlook anything if he's high.

03:18:19 - 03:18:34 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so if the guy would have said that he, well, all things but being like a murderer or something like that, if the guy said something like he was a bad, you know, he's had a lot of dates or whatever over the time and he's had been not in long-term relationships that wouldn't

03:18:34 - 03:18:52 | Speaker 1:

freak you out if the sex was good uh because if he's if he's good in bed then he's good for a little bit of time you can still answer him for you know and you're attracted to him yeah no that's true for sure so that means you well no it still matters by the way like is he still

03:18:52 - 03:18:58 | Speaker 5:

Shane, are you still there? How good were you? Hold on a second.

03:18:58 - 03:19:08 | Speaker 2:

I just feel like if that's going to be the thing that turns you off about somebody, it better be the first question that you ask before you go out with them. Because I feel like that's 90% of the population.

03:19:08 - 03:19:10 | Speaker 5:

Emily wants to comment. What's up, Emily?

03:19:11 - 03:19:12 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. How y'all doing?

03:19:13 - 03:19:14 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. What's happening?

03:19:15 - 03:19:23 | Speaker 1:

I'm just curious. Did this young lady grow up rich? or, like, have lots of... Okay.

03:19:23 - 03:19:39 | Speaker 3:

Or were you very, very smart? Yeah. Most people have to get student loans to go to school and further than them. Correct. I mean, I grew up... I don't know how to answer that. Like, I grew up affluent, I guess, but, like... Oh, rich, rich.

03:19:39 - 03:19:40 | Speaker 6:

Did your parents pay...

03:19:40 - 03:19:42 | Speaker 3:

If you say affluent, you rich, rich.

03:19:42 - 03:19:49 | Speaker 5:

Did your parents pay your college loans in your tuition?

03:19:49 - 03:19:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I didn't take out loans.

03:19:51 - 03:19:53 | Speaker 5:

There you go. Okay, so there you go.

03:19:54 - 03:19:57 | Speaker 3:

I graduated without debt.

03:19:57 - 03:20:14 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Devin, what's up? It's Mojo. in the morning i think she's a gold digger i think she just let him on a little bit more found out that you know oh he's got student loans i'm gonna get out of this but i'm gonna lead him on just a little bit more so that way when he gets out and gets out of his debt he might come back

03:20:14 - 03:20:27 | Speaker 10:

i honestly think you guys are giving me too much credit i just wanted to get laid and i did Why don't you say that then? Say that. Don't make it about this poor guy's student loans.

03:20:28 - 03:20:30 | Speaker 8:

I like that. That's so offensive.

03:20:30 - 03:21:05 | Speaker 10:

I also don't like that he has student loans, but I also wanted to have fun and move on with my life. It's not that serious. We went on one date. We weren't dating for six months. I like that. This is insane. Guys do this all the time, and then they just ghost and move on. But the minute I do it and give you a reason that I just don't want to hang anymore, I'm the bad guy. I like your reason better if you just wanted to get laid and move on. That's not offensive to me. It's just, like, not to me. I like her.

03:21:06 - 03:21:09 | Speaker 8:

I don't. Susan, what's up, Susan?

03:21:10 - 03:21:35 | Speaker 9:

I just forget the sex and forget the student loans, but who are you talking to my girl Shannon like that? Correct. for no reason girl correct you came on here to wonder why you didn't call him back and you're talking to a radio show because you wanted to get laid and you gave some lame excuse about some student loan we all don't have daddy's money we wish we did yeah wait i don't actually wait what's

03:21:35 - 03:21:40 | Speaker 10:

the question i actually don't get the point like what did you what were you saying oh and you said

03:21:40 - 03:21:45 | Speaker 8:

you were smart and got a full ride i think i think what she wanted she basically is saying

03:21:45 - 03:21:59 | Speaker 10:

And Susan's basically saying that you should have just come right out and said, all I was

03:21:59 - 03:22:07 | Speaker 8:

doing was looking to get laid. I have no interest in calling you back. That's it. Yes. But that's all right. Shane, thank you so much for going out.

03:22:07 - 03:22:10 | Speaker 10:

I gave the same spiel that like guys give all the time.

03:22:10 - 03:22:17 | Speaker 8:

That's true. You never change. Baby, never change. You're going to find that man. we appreciate a second date update

03:22:17 - 03:22:24 | Speaker 4:
