00:02:30 - 00:02:59 | Unknown:

We'll be right back.

00:03:00 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 4:

good morning and welcome to the mojo in the morning show good to have you here with us got a good show for you today five lies tell your mom's coming up we got the second date update on the way and we got a lot of stuff to get to prize wise I mean, we're going to give away a ton of concert tickets. In 2025, there's some good ones coming. Jelly Roll, Post Malone. This morning, we got Kendrick Lamar, SZA. We'll have those at 630. Then we've got, and I don't know if you'd call this necessarily a concert, but it's definitely something fun to go to. Kevin Hart.

00:03:47 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 1:

So cool.

00:03:47 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 4:

Bringing his comedy to the Fox Theater in downtown Detroit. We've got a chance for you to go at 830. And then at 930, Tate McCray's sold-out show. the ticket prices for that thing. I saw some floor seats that were going for like $1,000 a piece and some seats like Section 125 on the side, people are asking on StubHub, $750. I'm like, $750 a ticket. Crazy. We got Tate McRae's now, the new Taylor Swift. Holy crap. What was I going to do? Oh, I got to also get to a bunch of stories that we didn't get a chance to get to yesterday because we ran along with a really good War of the Roses. By the way, if you have not heard that or seen the video of that, I was watching that yesterday. I was watching the video of it and seeing our facial reactions. Sometimes it makes the War of the Roses even better. I have no poker face. No, you don't. You show off right away how you feel towards the cheater.

00:04:54 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:04:54 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

But I will say this. My favorite is when I watch the TikToks of them because I feel like.

00:05:00 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 1:

like our TikToks are not necessarily just our Mojo in the Morning listeners. I feel like we get, you know, some guy in Paraguay listening to us. We do. I don't even know where Paraguay is, but I...

00:05:09 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 2:

We're very big in Australia.

00:05:11 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 1:

It's unbelievable. For real.

00:05:13 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 2:

No, we are. UK loves Mojo.

00:05:15 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 1:

My favorite is when the comment will come in and it will randomly go, the host seems so smug. And I'm like, the host? Who's the host? And they can be talking about any of us. I don't even know who they're talking about. And then another person will say, the man who's got the microphone in front of him seems like he doesn't care too much. Or the woman making the phone call is a bad telemarketer.

00:05:42 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 2:

At least they didn't say the lady. Yeah, but as far as I would be commenting back. Everybody calls you Nicole. They're like, Nicole is so good at this. I'm like, Shannon, I need you.

00:05:51 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 1:

Do you ever, by the way, make a reservation for a table? or maybe you have it as your alias on, on, uh, your, on Rezzy. Yeah. Do you ever do that as Nicole? No, but I should. That'd be fun. By the way, in all the years we've done this, and there's been many that we've done this War of the Roses, 25 years almost that War of the Roses has been on. Has Nicole ever had a last name? No. We've never heard Nicole's last name.

00:06:18 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 2:

But if you don't know this, fun fact, Nicole is my middle name and that's why I use it like my a real life middle name. Oh, okay. That's the only reason I used it. I just, you know, wanted to use it.

00:06:28 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 1:

Maybe this year, Nicole needs to get a middle name or get a last name. Oh, what would it be?

00:06:32 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 2:

Maybe she'll get married. Nicole.

00:06:35 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 1:

And then get cheated on.

00:06:36 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 2:

I could create a whole, like, Instagram profile for Nicole from rosesbloom.com. Oh, my God, I would love that.

00:06:42 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 1:

Nicole needs to get married and then cheated on because then it comes full circle and the whole thing. Hi, this is Nicole calling up. Who are we going to send the flowers to? Not Nicole. Wait, hold on a second. All right, it's Mojo on the morning show uh kp has a complaint to start off this break with and it's a complaint that deals with her family she's upset with your mom and your sisters and brothers what i don't

00:07:06 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 3:

know who did this but we just took our family photos in front of my brother's new truck he found this 1984 old chevy truck and it's gorgeous he's uh he's building the engine in it and so we decided to get family photos in front of it and they sent the final photos to our group chat and i kid you not it looks like my face is facetuned 800 times i don't know who taught my mom how to do that oh it was your mom i don't know if it was her or my sister but it looks so bad and i don't know how to tell her that i hate it did you post it uh she did it's on her send it to the group

00:07:39 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 2:

chat i want to see also where's this family photo going is it going out on a card or is it is it hanging up in your mom's house? It was like a social media

00:07:47 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 3:

post that she did. Okay. I don't know if she put it on a card, but I hope she didn't. What if this was the Christmas card that got sent out? Honestly, whatever at this point, but it looks terrible. Let me find

00:07:59 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 1:

the whole thing. I know I follow your mom on Facebook, but for some reason I'm blinking out on what

00:08:05 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 2:

her... I want to follow your mom. Her name is? Love Mama KP. No, but I

00:08:11 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 1:

because she pops up. The funny thing is I actually follow kp and kp is on her uh she's got her fan her regular one and it will come up and i go oh

00:08:19 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

that's her name yeah i did not know that i didn't know her middle name is i hate writing emails to kp because i type in kp and then it doesn't pop up and i'm like what's oh yeah and then how do

00:08:29 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 3:

okay yeah by the way i think this is a cute photo it is cute but look at my face oh i don't think

00:08:36 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 2:

it's i mean i feel like everybody looks a little face too everybody is very okay your mom is face tuned which means she's the one who did it your mom by the way looks great you all look good you do look good like at a quick glance you wouldn't realize how facetune it is but even her sister

00:08:51 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 3:

is like there's not a poor to be not and look at my mom's fiance his face is like big boy

00:08:57 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 1:

so shiny yeah so obviously great photo obviously this was your mom that did it because because usually it's the person that you go and go wow they look great and then hold on a second Who's that in the background? You don't recognize. Usually it's the person that does it. Shouldn't you have to get permission of everybody? Because I feel this way. Whenever I take a picture with Katrina, our superstar friend, she will do things that make me look like I'm a woman.

00:09:27 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 2:

She likes the filter.

00:09:29 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 1:

She'll put a filter, and she looks fantastic.

00:09:31 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 2:

She looks fantastic without the filter. Yeah. Like your cheeks are really rosy.

00:09:36 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 1:

Oh, here, hold on.

00:09:37 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 2:

No, there was one I noticed that she posted of you. It didn't even look like you. Your nose was real teeny tiny skinny.

00:09:44 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 1:

Here, I'll send this to all of you guys so you guys can look at it.

00:09:46 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 2:

You know what I mean? From Whoville.

00:09:49 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 1:

I looked like I would, again, I would be a beautiful woman.

00:09:55 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

But here's the thing. Oh, wow. Oh, yeah.

00:10:00 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 1:

Would you rather be

00:10:03 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 4:

Facetuned to the gods Than have the worst photo of you Posted by your friend Million percent yes I would rather have me looking like Barbie Like full on plastic smooth face Than looking like a gremlin

00:10:15 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 2:

Hey quick poll Lydia I want to do As our topic here

00:10:21 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 4:

Isn't that horrible That's worse than KP

00:10:24 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 2:

KP looks like good in hers I actually look like I'm, you know, somebody other than me. 844-MOJO-LIVE, like maybe five calls says it all. Here's an etiquette question. I want to know, etiquette-wise, should you have to ask every person that's in a photo with you, even the strangers in the background, if you are going to do anything to doctor that photo up to try to make yourself look better? Doesn't everybody have to have approval on that? I think so.

00:10:55 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 4:

What's the drop we have that's like, no, no, no, no, no.

00:10:58 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 3:

that's mine also making somebody skinny without their permission no do it my my grandma stretches out our photos so bad like we had one taken over the holiday where our christmas tree looked like

00:11:13 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 4:

it was skinny skinny skinny because she stretched it out so much see i always say make me tan and

00:11:19 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 2:

skinny i'm good yes can i uh can i tell you something that uh uh that is the cutest thing ever i i you're you told us before the break about your brother getting this uh truck i think it's so cute that you guys are the family because first off it's a very cool truck like and how old your brother he's 20 he's 20 years old and that was your that was your guy's photo it's a great

00:11:40 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 4:

looking it is a great photo of all you guys seriously it is it's very cute does it uh you

00:11:46 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 2:

know that there's going to be people that are going to with this photo if you post this photo to show this example of this there's going to be people that are going to be photographers going can we use that as like a truck right yeah you and your sister look like you do like i said we

00:12:01 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 3:

are the same we we're the same font what was it i say before we're the same style different font or something yeah we're we're like the same person but we have subtle features that are different

00:12:13 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 2:

yeah but why is it that your face looks different than her face in this thing no

00:12:18 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 4:

I think you guys are so similar.

00:12:20 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 2:

Really?

00:12:20 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 4:

Just her hair is different.

00:12:21 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 2:

Did any of the other siblings say anything about the way that the photo was done?

00:12:24 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 4:

The boys don't care.

00:12:25 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 2:

They don't give a crap?

00:12:26 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 3:

They don't care.

00:12:28 - 00:12:48 | Speaker 2:

So far, Lydia says 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. It is 421 on five calls that have come in so far of, yes, you should get permission. So, yes, you should get permission. A couple texters here that are texting in right now. 313 says, how could KP look bad in any photo?

00:12:49 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 3:

Correct. I could send you a few.

00:12:51 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 2:

Wait, hold on. That's your mom's number. Is that what your mom's number? No. Another one here. I like this one. Here, the person, somebody doctored the photo so bad it looked like I was missing teeth. I like chiclet teeth.

00:13:04 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 3:

When you put a shadow on somebody's tooth and you don't realize it. That has happened before.

00:13:09 - 00:13:30 | Speaker 2:

I wonder if there's anybody that's ever doctored a photo so much that the person looked like they were missing limbs. Has that ever happened before? Or who was it? I don't think it was you. It was either you or it was Joey when Joey did this job. They did a thing. They wanted to change our photo.

00:13:30 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 3:

I think it was you. It was me. Yeah. It was our Christmas photo as a show three years ago. I accidentally cut off. Was it Spike's arm? Yes.

00:13:38 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 2:

Yes. He was missing arm.

00:13:40 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 3:

First bite. Stop it. Yeah. Made him taller, too.

00:13:46 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 2:

I'll tell you what. You make me skinnier and just take away my arms, I'm fine. I'll take that as being skinnier, too. All right. Mojo in the Morning Show. 844-MOJO-LIVE. Phone number, text 95500 to get through with us this morning.

00:14:00 - 00:14:08 | Speaker 6:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the Morning's back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:14:09 - 00:14:17 | Speaker 2:

All right, this was the year that Kimberly Sweet Brown Wilking was interviewed after her apartment caught fire.

00:14:17 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 1:

Well, I woke up to go get me a cold pop, and then I thought somebody was barbecuing. I said, oh, Lord Jesus, it's a fire. Then I ran out. I didn't grab no shoes or nothing, Jesus. I ran for my life. And then the smoke got me. I got bronchitis. Ain't nobody got time for that.

00:14:38 - 00:14:44 | Speaker 2:

Oh, there it was. There it is. The campaign starring Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell hit theaters.

00:14:44 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 5:

One time I put a firefly in my butthole. Why? To make my farts glow.

00:14:51 - 00:14:52 | Unknown:

Oh, God.

00:14:52 - 00:15:11 | Speaker 5:

I shaved the dog and glued the hair to my nutsack so I look like a grown man. I touched myself to Drew Carey on the press, right? Okay, that's enough. Stop, please. And the big song from Kelly Clarkson.

00:15:14 - 00:15:16 | Speaker 6:

What year was this?

00:15:20 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 5:

You talk a big game in a car. Now prove how smart you are. Tell us the year this stuff happened. 844 Mojo Live. 844-665-6548.

00:15:30 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 6:

00:15:53 - 00:15:58 | Speaker 2:

How good is your memory? It's Mojo in the Morning's back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:15:58 - 00:16:11 | Speaker 6:

Oh, one of my favorite, favorite moments of a clip that we play a lot on our show. But it came from kind of a sad situation. Kimberly Sweet Brown Wilking was interviewed after her apartment caught on fire.

00:16:11 - 00:16:31 | Speaker 2:

When I woke up to go get me a cold pop, then I thought somebody was barbecuing. I said, oh, Lord Jesus, it's a fire. Then I ran out. I didn't grab no shoes or nothing, Jesus. I ran for my life. And then the smoke got me. I got bronchitis. Ain't nobody got time for that.

00:16:31 - 00:16:37 | Speaker 6:

I remember that. The campaign, which actually was kind of a funny movie, Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, written that one.

00:16:38 - 00:16:43 | Speaker 4:

One time I put a firefly on my butthole. Why? To make my farts glow.

00:16:44 - 00:16:45 | Unknown:

Oh, God.

00:16:46 - 00:16:51 | Speaker 3:

I shaved the dog and glued the hair to my nutsack so I looked like a grown man.

00:16:53 - 00:16:53 | Unknown:

Oh, God.

00:16:53 - 00:17:01 | Speaker 5:

I touched myself to Drew Carey on the press, right? God. Okay, that's enough. Stop, please.

00:17:01 - 00:17:12 | Speaker 6:

And the big song. From Kelly Clarkson, what year was this? Virginia's got it for us. Virginia High, what year was that?

00:17:13 - 00:17:14 | Speaker 7:

It was 2012.

00:17:15 - 00:17:22 | Speaker 6:

Give it to her. Ain't nobody got time for that. Yes. Congratulations. What was it that...

00:17:22 - 00:17:23 | Speaker 7:

Thank you so much.

00:17:23 - 00:17:25 | Speaker 6:

What was it that helped you get that clue?

00:17:27 - 00:17:31 | Speaker 7:

It was the Kelly Clark thing, what doesn't kill you, make you sorry. Oh, come on. Hey.

00:17:33 - 00:17:59 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:18:38 - 00:18:43 | Speaker 6:

Dirty on the 30. Kev's a no-call, no-show, right? I mean, he calling sick. Does anybody know?

00:18:43 - 00:18:44 | Speaker 1:

No, nobody can get a hold of him.

00:18:44 - 00:18:59 | Speaker 6:

So, no-call, no-show today. I hope he's okay. I always get so nervous. He's had a lot of stuff going on this week. He's had one of the Lions game. Then he had a Pistons game and stuff like that. But what do you got? That's our Breaking Dirty today. Yeah. Anybody sees him? He's probably at Sweetwater.

00:19:00 - 00:19:01 | Speaker 1:

Already eating some wings.

00:19:01 - 00:19:03 | Speaker 6:

What do you got trending in this Dirty on 30?

00:19:03 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, just in case you were wondering, and I actually wish Kev was here because I think he asked me this question on Monday. Jennifer Lopez is keeping the eight and a half carat natural green diamond engagement ring that Scott from Ben Affleck now that their divorce is over, their marriage is over. They settled their divorce on Monday, nearly five months after J-Lo filed to end their two-year marriage. This thing is worth an estimated $5 million. And if you're going, why did he choose green in the first place versus like a, you know, normal, I say that in air quotes, normal diamond. It's because it is her favorite color. And he engraved the ring with a saying that didn't really age well. He engraved it with the words, not going anywhere. which apparently is how he would sign their emails when they first started dating again and rekindled their romance but now you know you fast forward a little bit and you're like well you are you're going bye-bye um speaking of ben affleck his west side

00:20:00 - 00:20:33 | Speaker 2:

7,000 square foot Pacific Palisades home is about to be devastated by those wildfires that are raging through that area. I cannot stop watching what is happening. It's so sad. And he lives in the same neighborhood where Tom Hanks lives. Reese Witherspoon lives there. Adam Sandler, Janae Aiko. And I saw that he came home yesterday and the paparazzi caught his reaction of just shock at what was happening around that area we'll uh we'll go because they've been 24

00:20:33 - 00:20:58 | Speaker 4:

7 the la tv stations doing a great job of covering this yeah trying to get people to evacuate and get out of the area we'll just play some of that audio coming up a little later this morning i'm watching it non-stop right now on stream um it's really really sad that you see this because imagine fires that are engulfing neighborhoods with hurricane force winds, meaning the firefighters

00:20:58 - 00:21:00 | Speaker 2:

can't put fires out. They can't stop them.

00:21:00 - 00:21:02 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's near impossible.

00:21:02 - 00:21:17 | Speaker 2:

And even the surrounding area. So I have a friend who lives in Malibu, and she posted late last night that she had to evacuate because, not because of the fires, I mean, the fires are coming that way, but the power's out everywhere. Oh. They actually shut the power off. There's nothing. Yeah, there's nothing. Will that help?

00:21:17 - 00:21:27 | Speaker 4:

They did a shut the fires or shut the power off to millions and millions of people because they're worried that downed power lines will cause even more fires. Because there hasn't been rain in such a long time.

00:21:27 - 00:21:41 | Speaker 3:

I'm so curious if anybody knows the answer to this. If you could text us at 95500. I know down in Florida they have a hard time getting flooding or hurricane insurance because it just impacts so many homes. Does California have issues with fire insurance?

00:21:41 - 00:21:45 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. Or earthquakes. I'm so curious. Yeah, I'm so curious. Man.

00:21:45 - 00:22:43 | Speaker 2:

model kaya gerber and elvis star austin butler have called it quits after three years of dating they actually reportedly split at the end of last year before kaya rang in the new year in cabo austin noticeably absent from all of the photos of her frolicking along the beach so you knew something was probably up she is the 23 year old daughter of cindy crawford if you were wondering who she is yesterday president jimmy carter's remains arrived at the capitol in the afternoon military personnel carrying his flag draped casket into the capitol rotunda for members of Congress and his family to pay their respects at a service before opening the space up to the public. A crowd formed in the evening to make their way into the building. Mojo in the Morning Show. Can I ask a quick question? Is there ways to return something that you got as a Christmas gift without people knowing that you returned it? And I say this because I got some stuff for Christmas from like one of my best, best buddies. and I know he's going to be like not saying that he doesn't see me wearing it but noticing it because I usually will put stuff on right away okay so it's clothing it's clothing okay

00:24:24 - 00:24:26 | Speaker 2:

you're also talking about it so he's going to know

00:24:26 - 00:24:34 | Speaker 4:

well he's not I know he doesn't listen to the show this early in the morning and I know that he's not technically savvy enough to find podcasts okay

00:24:34 - 00:24:36 | Speaker 2:

okay he's definitely your friend alright

00:24:36 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 4:

all right um but so don't ever don't put this on social media because he does check our social media out from time to time but that that does kind of like it worries me like it worries me that i'm i'm gonna return this stuff i he ended up getting me stuff at uh carl's golf land and i i'm kind of a brain guy like i'm a brain guy like i won't

00:25:00 - 00:25:05 | Speaker 1:

only wear like certain brands travis matthew is that a golf brand oh you just got right into it

00:25:05 - 00:25:19 | Speaker 3:

oh oh that was a total guess i feel like the only golf brand i know and grayson no so i wear grayson and i wear peter millar peter millar that's right is travis matthew a golf brand travis matthews is it's very good actually you know what oh my god i'm not a golfer and i knew something

00:25:19 - 00:25:30 | Speaker 1:

nice um he bought me some travis matthew and travis matthew doesn't look good on me i used to wear it all the time because it was the only thing that fit me now i can fit into others and I realized, oh, my God, it didn't look good.

00:25:30 - 00:25:34 | Speaker 2:

Okay. And I'm assuming that you golf with said person.

00:25:34 - 00:25:34 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

00:25:35 - 00:25:39 | Speaker 2:

Can you wear it once with the tags on and then return it for store credit?

00:25:40 - 00:25:44 | Speaker 1:

No, because Neil Feldman's listening to the show right now, and he runs Carl's Golfman.

00:25:44 - 00:25:46 | Speaker 3:

And there was no gift for C, obviously.

00:25:46 - 00:26:01 | Speaker 1:

No, there is. But here's the problem with it. I want to return it because there's nothing worse than when somebody returns something that you got or re-gifts something that you got yeah which obviously

00:26:01 - 00:26:08 | Speaker 3:

you've done yes i've done to you all right which is fine i mean 15 years later i'm still not

00:26:08 - 00:26:17 | Speaker 1:

but heard about it although wait oh wait wait a second maybe we should maybe we should bring up the topic of what happened to you that you you found out oh oh this might be a perfect time too

00:26:17 - 00:27:41 | Speaker 3:

but this was are you talking about the house yes okay so this wasn't though um a gift per se I gave it to okay so Lucy is is has exited her Barbie phase which makes me really sad she's 10 and a half she you know gave all of her Barbie stuff to my four-year-old niece Stella with the exception of a few things well then those few things started collecting dust in her room and one of them was a Barbie house so at the end of the summer I have a girl that I know whose daughter is like right in that sweet spot and i had asked her do you want lucy's old barbie house i will just give it to you because i'm trying to get all of this crap out of the house right purge and she was like oh my gosh yes i don't want to say her daughter's name but she's like she will absolutely love it well fast forward to a couple of days ago i'm on you guys know i love not facebook marketplace but there are different facebook groups that i belong to that are like closed groups but they're for either my neighborhood or city or whatever that you can sell stuff so i was on there posting some other stuff and what do i see on there lucy's barbie house that i gave to this girl but she now has it listed for sale for forty dollars trying to make money off of you and i'm like wait a second i feel like that's kind of rude don't you think that's kind of rude yeah um and i'm i don't know i truly don't know her well enough to be like hey not cool

00:27:41 - 00:27:44 | Speaker 2:

Would you be upset if she listed it, like, for free?

00:27:44 - 00:27:47 | Speaker 3:

Not at all. Right. Because I gave it to her for free. Yeah.

00:27:48 - 00:27:55 | Speaker 1:

All right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Here's the question. Is it that now it's her as the rightful owner and she can do whatever she wants with it?

00:27:55 - 00:27:57 | Speaker 2:

Which she is, but still rude.

00:27:57 - 00:28:00 | Speaker 1:

Or since she got it for free, should she give it for free?

00:28:00 - 00:28:03 | Speaker 2:

Or split the money with you. Or buy your bottle.

00:28:03 - 00:28:04 | Speaker 1:

Okay. I like them all.

00:28:04 - 00:28:08 | Speaker 2:

You know what I mean? I like them all. Like, if she showed up and was like, this bottle is for you, thanks for the Barbie Dream

00:28:08 - 00:28:30 | Speaker 1:

house i i wouldn't complain correct lydia i want to take calls on this i want eight four i want calls on shannon's barbie dream house and i want also conversation about when somebody gives you something do you have to wear it or do you have to tell them that you returned it because i feel like i need to maybe say hey and come up with a i already got that color like some like fake or

00:28:30 - 00:28:44 | Speaker 3:

something like why don't you just say i don't really love it i'd rather buy something that i actually would wear that's so rude i know that i don't know you gotta wear it why don't you just exchange it and not say anything well he's not gonna be like why are you wearing the travis

00:28:44 - 00:29:15 | Speaker 1:

00:34:38 - 00:34:54 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning, live.

00:34:54 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 3:

Lydia says we have an update on No Call No Show Kev.

00:35:00 - 00:35:34 | Speaker 7:

were worried about him wondering what's going on so we'll have an update on that coming up here in just a little bit i want to get back to this topic here right now uh we're talking about uh getting a gift from somebody for christmas and you don't want it so you want to return it you have to tell them and then also shannon's big one the barbie dream house that she gave to somebody and that person that she gave it to ended up this is a wild story that person that she gave it to ended up putting it up for sale on her neighborhood Facebook marketplace-y type thing.

00:35:34 - 00:35:34 | Speaker 6:

Wow.

00:35:35 - 00:35:37 | Speaker 7:

Rachel, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:35:38 - 00:35:39 | Speaker 4:

Hey, hey, what's up?

00:35:39 - 00:35:40 | Speaker 7:

What's happening?

00:35:41 - 00:35:48 | Speaker 4:

Oh, not much. You know, I just got to say a long time. Second time you guys called me. Oh, okay. Well, let's go. Good morning.

00:35:48 - 00:35:50 | Speaker 7:

You have a relatable story to Shannon's thing.

00:35:52 - 00:36:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah. So I used to have a rabbit, and I had bought this really expensive cage for it, And I kind of grew out of having the rabbit, so I gave it to my mom's best friend's kid, and I said, I need the cage back, because the cage cost more. And they ended up selling the rabbit and the cage, and I didn't learn about that until about six months later.

00:36:13 - 00:36:18 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. But I guess it's a live animal. You probably should have said something.

00:36:19 - 00:36:23 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I don't feel like you get to just give away a live animal and then be like, I wanted to make money off of that.

00:36:23 - 00:36:23 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:36:24 - 00:36:34 | Speaker 4:

Right? Yeah. I mean, the rabbit, you wanted to sell it. You didn't want any more. I get that. But the cage costs way more than the rabbit did. And obviously, I didn't want the rabbit back.

00:36:34 - 00:36:41 | Speaker 7:

But not a good move. Hold on. Lori, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi, Lori.

00:36:42 - 00:36:43 | Speaker 2:

Hey, how are you?

00:36:43 - 00:36:45 | Speaker 7:

Good. Lori, what did you catch family members doing?

00:36:46 - 00:37:12 | Speaker 2:

So we buy pretty expensive gifts for our grandchildren and our nieces and nephews. and multiple times like maybe three four months after maybe they're just done playing with a gift or whatever we'll see it on marketplace and they're making a profit on it oh geez yeah it's and it i guess maybe they need the money more than we do but it's just the point of maybe they

00:37:12 - 00:37:17 | Speaker 7:

should block us from seeing those things who are who are these people that you said they're family

00:37:17 - 00:37:25 | Speaker 2:

members but how family family are they oh um son and daughter-in-law oh man they're like family

00:37:25 - 00:37:41 | Speaker 7:

family they're like close close family family at that point right there you almost feel good about helping them but you're right though you almost think that they should say something to you what's up andrea hello hi how are you i'm good how are you fantastic what's going on

00:37:41 - 00:37:48 | Speaker 5:

i have some advice for you for what you can tell your friend oh okay about the uh yeah that's this

00:37:48 - 00:38:00 | Speaker 7:

is about me getting from my buddy some stuff from carl's golf land that i want to return but i'm worried that he'll be upset that i'm not wearing it yeah yes exactly so tell him that the shirt

00:38:00 - 00:38:17 | Speaker 5:

does not fit you and so you take it back you have your gift receipts and they don't have the size that you need so you had to buy something else genius that's the smartest thing i've ever heard

00:38:17 - 00:38:23 | Speaker 3:

anyone say about anything can i call you for all advice because that's so smart actually could you

00:38:23 - 00:38:32 | Speaker 7:

repeat that so i could write this down no that's actually not a bad idea and that's believable that's extremely believable uh-huh hey cindy what's up it's mojo in the morning

00:38:33 - 00:39:05 | Speaker 6:

Hi, good morning. I had a friend who baked me for a long time. I had a nutcracker that stood about 5'5". One of the big ones that you find at Costco's and stuff. Oh, yeah. It held wine and, like, wine glasses and stuff. Well, anyway, I felt sorry for her because she's like, I never had one before in my life, so I gave it to her. and like two weeks after that she sold it online for 400 bucks oh my god that's a lot of money

00:39:05 - 00:39:28 | Speaker 7:

wait what what a nutcracker what's a nutcracker what do you mean a nutcracker oh the nutcracker the huge one like outside of your fridge yeah yeah okay a nutcracker i was like the nutcracker i was like it cracks nuts but it's like actually the decoration from christmas yeah hold on megan wants to say something to you shannon what's that megan hi so first

00:39:28 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 3:

um first time long time and uh shannon did you say that you just gave this to her like a few days ago no i gave it to her at the end of the summer oh okay i thought you said a few days ago i was no a few days ago i saw it on facebook oh gotcha okay yeah i was just gonna say like if it was a few days ago like maybe she like you gave it to her she gave it to her daughter and then she was like oh okay you know she should have been like she should have messaged you and been like okay you know she's kind of out

00:40:00 - 00:40:05 | Speaker 5:

grown it too do you want it back or do you want me to re-gift it to someone yeah right yeah so

00:40:05 - 00:40:15 | Speaker 1:

so it's it's one of those things where a few days ago is definitely early but i still think summertime to now is still early too yeah like it's not like it's been years i bet what happened

00:40:15 - 00:40:24 | Speaker 5:

is somebody got her daughter like the new the newest latest greatest barbie dream house for christmas and so she needed to offload the one that i had given her i will i will tell you this

00:40:24 - 00:40:34 | Speaker 1:

though and and the thing that's interesting is talking about this to me is better shame than than even asking for twenty dollars at the forty dollars that she gets because you know it's going

00:40:34 - 00:40:39 | Speaker 5:

to get back i gave away another one because lucy had two over christmas oh really that one ends up

00:40:39 - 00:40:46 | Speaker 3:

on facebook put a little tracker on it gave it away for free which one will get more money Yeah, I don't know.

00:40:46 - 00:40:52 | Speaker 1:

Hold on. Breaking news. Cab has arrived. Good morning.

00:40:52 - 00:40:53 | Speaker 2:

What's up, y'all? Good morning.

00:40:53 - 00:40:56 | Speaker 5:

I'm honestly so happy to see you because I was worried about it.

00:40:56 - 00:41:28 | Speaker 1:

Barbie Dreamhouse. Can I tell you, I thought that you were just going to be like 10 minutes late and I was going to be pissed because we had that meeting about everybody be on time. And then it went from me being like, I'm going to mother F him. I'm going to get right in his face like Coach Izzo would with the player. And then I honestly, my heart started going, what the hell, man? I'm worried. Like, honestly, can I tell you something? I worry because when Megan had that one where she moved into her apartment and we had to call the Toledo Fire Department to go bang down the door. Which they did.

00:41:28 - 00:41:30 | Speaker 3:

They did. I woke up to cops in my bedroom.

00:41:31 - 00:41:41 | Speaker 1:

Which, honestly, that day I will never forget. It was, at first it was, this is a joke. This is fun. And then it came to, what if they go into her room and they find her dead? We stopped talking about it.

00:41:41 - 00:41:49 | Speaker 3:

No, truly, when you guys stop talking about it, that's when the flood of text messages came in from my friends and family being like, I really hope you're OK. Yeah.

00:41:50 - 00:42:20 | Speaker 2:

Well, ain't nobody text me. I texted you. Oh, yes. I'm talking about friends and family. Shout out to my cousin Brandy, though. She hit me up. I was just knocked out, bro. It wasn't nothing crazy. I was knocked out. You know what I think it is? So I got two king-size pillows on my bed, and then I put the other two on Josiah's bed, But his queen-size pillows came in yesterday, so now I got four king-size pillows. And I, like, laid in between them and stacked the other two. And I think my phone alarm was just too deep. It wasn't loud enough. Really?

00:42:21 - 00:42:38 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I couldn't hear my alarm. Your alarm went deep in your pillows. I'm guessing. Can I get you one of those? Actually, I'm not even getting it for you. I'm making you get it. I'll send it to you. Can you get one of those? They have these things now where you put them on your nightstand, and it turns your phone into a good old-fashioned, like, alarm clock. No.

00:42:38 - 00:42:40 | Speaker 3:

No, you need to get him the Sonic Boom that I have.

00:42:40 - 00:42:56 | Speaker 1:

Well, the Sonic Boom is good. But if you put your phone on the charger, it, like, magnifies to it, like, one of these things. Oh, that's what I have. I have that. And it shows you the time, like, when you're sleeping, but it also keeps it out of your bed. But I know you, you're probably on TikTok watching LeBron highlights all night.

00:42:56 - 00:43:06 | Speaker 2:

Or whatever you send me. Yeah, I mean, it's not a reoccurring issue. Outside of talent, I pride myself on professionalism and being on time for stuff, so my apologies. But we here now.

00:43:06 - 00:43:24 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm just happy you're safe. Yeah, me too. And then I'll give you my Coach Izzo chew-out coming up a little bit. Chew-out. That sounds great. I was ready. I was ready to go back to like an old Coach Izzo sideline. He still get at it. I know. He gets fiery. All right. You guys want to do Five Lies, Tell Your Mom? 00:43:28 - 00:43:29 | Speaker 2:

00:43:29 - 00:44:08 | Speaker 1:

00:44:09 - 00:44:11 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:44:13 - 00:44:13 | Speaker 1:

Sweet.

00:44:14 - 00:44:23 | Speaker 4:

Five lies to tell your mom. Hey, Chris. Yes, sir. Are you ready? Yeah. I understand you work as a mailman.

00:44:24 - 00:44:27 | Speaker 1:

Yes, ma'am. You sound like you're a sleeping mailman.

00:44:28 - 00:44:31 | Speaker 4:

I'm taking a break for a second. All right.

00:44:32 - 00:44:44 | Speaker 1:

Well, here we go, Chris. We're going to do five lies to tell your mom. We're going to call your mother up, and you're going to say, Mom, lie number one, I met a woman on my mail route. Lie number two.

00:44:44 - 00:44:46 | Speaker 4:

Say she would grab her mail, and we would hang out and talk.

00:44:47 - 00:44:52 | Speaker 1:

Lie number three. One day she wasn't there, so I went to her door. Lie number four.

00:44:53 - 00:44:54 | Speaker 3:

We ended up having sex.

00:44:56 - 00:45:09 | Speaker 1:

Devious laugh. Yeah, I'm trying to make her lose her religion. Lie number five. She told me she's now pregnant. Uh-oh. Oh, my God. What do you think mom's going to do?

00:45:11 - 00:45:16 | Speaker 3:

Probably really not too good. If she swears, then she's definitely over the top because she doesn't cuss at all.

00:45:16 - 00:45:18 | Speaker 1:

All right. Let's see if we can get your mom to cuss.

00:45:19 - 00:45:20 | Unknown:

All right.

00:45:20 - 00:45:27 | Speaker 1:

Five lies tell your mom. By the way, Chris is a married man, too, so getting this woman pregnant would not be good.

00:45:30 - 00:46:00 | Speaker 2:

My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my

00:46:00 - 00:46:43 | Speaker 3:

She, you know, as long as she sees me coming around the corner with the mail, she usually, you know, comes to the door and get her mail. And, you know, we usually talk for a second. And, you know, one time she didn't come to the door, so I went up to the door, and I knocked on it to get rid of the mail. And she asked me if I wanted some water. I said, yeah. You know, she invited me here for a second. The next thing you know it, uh, we did it. Uh, the thing about it is, that's not the worst part.

00:46:45 - 00:46:48 | Speaker 2:

What is the worst part?

00:46:49 - 00:46:50 | Speaker 3:

She called me yesterday.

00:46:50 - 00:46:51 | Speaker 2:

You need it with no protection?

00:46:53 - 00:46:59 | Speaker 3:

No. And she called me yesterday and said that she's pregnant.

00:47:00 - 00:47:04 | Speaker 2:

Chris, how long ago did this happen?

00:47:05 - 00:47:09 | Speaker 3:

It was like, oh, it was a summer time. Oh, my gosh.

00:47:11 - 00:47:16 | Speaker 2:

I don't know, too. Oh, my gosh.

00:47:19 - 00:47:24 | Speaker 3:

Do you think you could tell, Jazz? Huh? Do you think you could tell her?

00:47:25 - 00:47:26 | Speaker 2:

You think I could tell her?

00:47:27 - 00:47:32 | Speaker 3:

I mean, obviously I want to wait until I want to try to get a paternity test first.

00:47:32 - 00:47:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:47:33 - 00:47:35 | Speaker 3:

Do you think you could tell Josh?

00:47:36 - 00:47:36 | Speaker 2:

Who, me?

00:47:37 - 00:47:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:47:38 - 00:47:39 | Speaker 2:

Me personally, you saying?

00:47:41 - 00:47:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah. Oh, my gosh.

00:47:52 - 00:47:56 | Speaker 2:

So what was you thinking about telling Chaz this?

00:47:57 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 3:

I was hoping. That's why I called you.

00:48:01 - 00:48:06 | Speaker 2:

You know she might leave as soon as she found this out, right?

00:48:07 - 00:48:13 | Speaker 3:

That's why I'm asking you for advice, because I know you don't want to see them leave, but I did it.

00:48:14 - 00:48:23 | Speaker 2:

It only happened one time? Huh? Mom, never mind. You answer that question by going that slow.

00:48:28 - 00:48:30 | Speaker 1:

That son of yours is a dumb s***, isn't he?

00:48:31 - 00:48:33 | Speaker 2:

What? You better tell him to keep it in his pants from now on.

00:48:34 - 00:48:34 | Speaker 1:

Mom?

00:48:35 - 00:48:35 | Speaker 2:

Chris?

00:48:36 - 00:48:37 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the morning.

00:48:37 - 00:48:47 | Speaker 2:

Chris, I am going to fight you. I'm just going to let you know this. As much as I listen to the Mojo at the morning show, we are going to fight.

00:48:47 - 00:48:50 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Mom, you're on five lies to tell your mom.

00:48:51 - 00:48:58 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. If you knew how my heart was founded, and as much as I listen to the mojo, oh, I owe, oh.

00:48:59 - 00:49:03 | Speaker 1:

Mom, if you listen to us all the time, how could you fall for something like that?

00:49:03 - 00:49:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:49:05 - 00:49:10 | Speaker 1:

Well, Mom, the good news is that he did not get the woman on his mail route pregnant.

00:49:12 - 00:49:20 | Speaker 2:

Man, Chris, you wait till I see you. Me and my bad arm, and you are going to fight.

00:49:22 - 00:49:30 | Speaker 1:

Now, Chris told us beforehand that there was no way that we could ever get you to swear, and I thought that maybe we might with this one.

00:49:30 - 00:49:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm about to kick his ass, like, for real. It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:49:38 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning show. So Kev had one of those starts today, but I'm going to now make it even better because he said a quick conversation that we brought up off the air kind of hit him at one point. And he wanted to know, like, when did.

00:50:00 - 00:50:12 | Speaker 4:

it hit you at all that you were yeah man uh so yesterday yeah the conversation off air that we were talking about was with shannon and how shannon's birthday is coming up and do you tell

00:50:12 - 00:50:16 | Speaker 2:

people how old you about to be yeah that's fine 42 so i had to think about it for a second though

00:50:16 - 00:50:22 | Speaker 4:

yeah shannon about to be on her don julio 1942 yeah by the way when you said that i think i think

00:50:22 - 00:50:28 | Speaker 2:

because my birthday is on the 19th and i'm turning 42 so that that's where 1942 came from

00:50:28 - 00:50:34 | Speaker 3:

And I got to tell you something. I noticed that when you said it at first, you were like, I'm 42. But then he's like that whole thing.

00:50:34 - 00:50:40 | Speaker 2:

And you were like, yeah, I'm 42. I got a damn margarita. Well, I said it. I said it like that because I'm like, am I turning 41?

00:50:40 - 00:50:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, okay, okay. I truly had a minute. Yeah, the hesitation wasn't in the age. It was just the number.

00:50:45 - 00:50:48 | Speaker 2:

It was how old, right, how old am I turning?

00:50:48 - 00:51:19 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and I mean, as a child, when you hear certain ages, like even when I talk to Josiah, who's 11 years old, like I tell him I'm turning 35 this year and he thinks I'm about to die. Like as a kid, you hear these numbers and these ages and they're so far beyond your frame of reference that you think they're just they're close to death. Yeah. And thirty five when I was younger was one of those ages where I have older cousins and I'm like, hey, you thirty five. Like life is really life. And at that age, like I can't fathom what that is like.

00:51:19 - 00:51:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh, your life's halfway over when you're younger and somebody tells you they're thirty five.

00:51:23 - 00:51:46 | Speaker 4:

Like just talking to you and Mojo, because you're older than me, like the old people. No, not like that, because I think a lot of people die before they put in the grave. You know what I mean? Like, they give up on life or whatever the case may be. Like, they're not living. But, like, is there a certain point where you felt like, oh, man, like, the term now is like, I'm washed. Like, I'm old. Like, have you ever felt like that?

00:51:46 - 00:52:37 | Speaker 3:

So, my mom died young. My mom died, and as I was approaching her age, because I was 14 years old when she died. as I was approaching her age, it was the most depressing year of my life. I was going through like a really, really tough, uh, tough time. And I remember having conversation with, you know, Chelsea about it and stuff. And then I remember calling up my sister and telling her on my birthday that, you know, this was a really tough year for me and I'm really having a hard time because this year is the year that mom died. And she said to me, she goes, uh, she goes, you know that mom died when she was 50 and this was my me turning 51 and i'm like oh i already lived past mom i'm good i thought my mom died when she was i thought she was a year even a

00:52:37 - 00:52:53 | Speaker 1:

year younger but she you know so i had a really close family friend and his father like he was an adult right like i was seven or eight and he was a grown man but his father died young of a heart attack and the year he was the same age as his dad when he died was a really weird age to

00:52:53 - 00:54:07 | Speaker 2:

know him that was west last year he was freaking out so kev to answer your question about me i um i don't feel like it has ever really bothered me per se now two caveats to that um i still feel like in my head i am not about to be 42 like i took lucy to middle school orientation a couple of weeks ago and it was the weirdest thing to me i'm like how do i have a middle schooler i still remember my very first day of sixth grade like it has not registered to me that I am the age I am but if you guys remember and I brought this up on the air I don't ever really feel quote unquote old except in certain situations and last year it was that photo shoot that we all had and for some reason that day I was feeling a certain way where like KP and you Megan and Lydia I just like around you girls i sometimes feel well i am older but i that day like it really really hit me that i was not feeling myself and i was feeling old and i was just feeling out of the loop and out of touch and all of those things and those moments sometimes will hit me but i never have a birthday where i'm like oh i'm about to be 30 oh i'm about to be 40 i really don't that doesn't bother me if it makes

00:54:07 - 00:54:26 | Speaker 1:

you feel any better i've always think we're the same age oh i'm true and i'm not even just saying I feel that way about all of us on the show, though. Like, there are, let's be honest, a few times there are references made that I'm like, huh? But, like, overall, I forget how old everybody is and how far apart we are. I feel like we're very much together.

00:54:26 - 00:54:58 | Speaker 3:

Well, you have moments in your life. And I think that right now for people, there's, it could be you're turning 25 and you've got a quarter-life crisis. Or it could be you're hitting a number like a 30 and you're thinking to yourself, oh, my God, I'm out of the 20s. or what I'm seeing a lot now in Chelsea and I were having this conversation because of a lot of her friends are going through this and she's gone through this is when you turn 40 years old as a woman, sometimes it changes a little bit because you start seeing yourself differently. And when in reality, everybody sees you the same, they don't see you.

00:55:00 - 00:55:15 | Speaker 1:

I will speak into that. I have been very open about this crazy new word that I learned, perimenopause, that it was supposed to last for like 10 or 12 years. I feel kind of funky, but you guys don't know that unless I say anything to you about it.

00:55:15 - 00:55:15 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:55:16 - 00:55:18 | Speaker 1:

And honestly, I'm sweating like a beast. But can I be honest with you?

00:55:19 - 00:55:24 | Speaker 6:

It's happening even younger and younger than it happened to like your moms. You know what I mean? Yeah.

00:55:24 - 00:55:29 | Speaker 1:

It wasn't even a thing. I don't think that that word existed. And I mean, it was still a thing. We just didn't label it.

00:55:29 - 00:55:31 | Speaker 5:

But also, please put me through it now.

00:55:31 - 00:55:32 | Unknown:

Oh, jeez.

00:55:33 - 00:55:36 | Speaker 6:

I want to go through menopause so bad. You don't want to be hotter. You do not want to get hotter.

00:55:37 - 00:55:38 | Speaker 5:

But it starts the menopause.

00:55:38 - 00:55:40 | Speaker 6:

What's up, Jordan? Hi.

00:55:40 - 00:56:07 | Speaker 5:

Oh, for you. Good morning. I have a five-year-old who tells me often that she wishes she were an adult so that she could make the rules. And one day we were talking, and she was like, I think when I'm 18, I can go outside by myself. And I was like, yeah, probably. And she's like, yeah, but I think you guys die at that point because you're going to be really old. I will be 45. Yeah. So, yeah, she's counting me out already.

00:56:08 - 00:56:13 | Speaker 6:

You're done. Jalen, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. When did you realize, Jalen?

00:56:14 - 00:56:29 | Speaker 2:

Hey, so I called in because, just to your point, Mojo, the way you were talking, it made me realize I'm 31. And I'm about seven years away from the age my mom died at. And that just seems way too early. She barely got to live a third of her life.

00:56:29 - 00:56:34 | Speaker 6:

Isn't it crazy to think that, man? She was 39 years old?

00:56:34 - 00:56:36 | Speaker 2:

She was about 38, 39, yeah.

00:56:37 - 00:57:24 | Speaker 6:

Buddy, that is young. I mean, I hate to say this, that life is not fair when God takes your mom at 39 years old. And as you get closer to that time, you realize how much more life she was supposed to have. Exactly, yeah. Buddy, that's amazing. that you called up. I appreciate it, and I'll be thinking of you, man. I appreciate that. You know what made me start feeling old? When all the players on the court, and now the coaches are younger than me. Yes, yes. When I look at basketball and I see, how old is that coach? I'm like, that guy's like 40 years old, and I'm like, what? You talked about LeBron yesterday. Yesterday, LeBron dunked on a player that was born a year after LeBron made it in the NBA. Oh, my God.

00:57:25 - 00:57:30 | Speaker 1:

You know what kills me? When I see 16-year-olds driving, And I'm like, you should be in a booster seat.

00:57:30 - 00:57:31 | Speaker 5:

You're not allowed to drive.

00:57:32 - 00:57:40 | Speaker 6:

Here's the other one, too. You ever go to a liquor store? Oh, no. You see the sign. It says how old? The age? The year. The year? No, no.

00:57:41 - 00:57:44 | Speaker 5:

And when I see a young person buying it, I go, they must have a fake ID.

00:57:45 - 00:57:47 | Speaker 6:

Kelly, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

00:57:48 - 00:58:20 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. You guys are cracking me up this morning. No, I was just going to say it's kind of the opposite. I cried on my 30th, walking into work, and I was super happy on my 40th. I just always thought by my 30th, I'd have my stuff together. You know, I'd know what I'd want to do. I'd be married, kids, all of that, and I wasn't. And so I was really nervous. I'm like, oh, my gosh, life is over. And then I was 36 when I got married and had my first child, you know. So it was kind of opposite.

00:58:20 - 00:58:21 | Speaker 6:

And how old are you now?

00:58:21 - 00:58:28 | Speaker 3:

i uh am about to be 50 in march congratulations you know what's you know what's amazing i will

00:58:28 - 00:58:37 | Speaker 6:

tell you what's amazing is when you turn 50 because 50 seems like such a big number and people will look at you like you're not 50 they they all think that you're like in your 30s or

00:58:37 - 00:58:51 | Speaker 3:

40s i hope so i hope so but i'm a little nervous for 50 no i don't think i'm gonna cry but i always thought when we were kids i'm like 50 is like grandma's age you know like that's old so now I'm like, uh-oh.

00:58:52 - 00:58:57 | Speaker 6:

You know what? All the cool kids are turning 50, so don't worry about it. You're good. 50 to new 40. Olivia, what's up?

00:58:59 - 00:59:14 | Speaker 4:

Hey. I'm going to be like 47 this year, I think. I stopped counting a little while ago. But something else, you know, I turn 40. I'm like, I've got to check my eyes. I've got to check all everything because the outside still looks really good. But the inside, I mean, does not watch.

00:59:14 - 00:59:26 | Speaker 6:

You know what? It's like a car. This is like a car. You know what I mean? It should be good. Yeah. Yeah, the interior needs a little bit of work, but that body looks good. Keep that body looking good, Olivia.

00:59:28 - 00:59:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:59:29 - 00:59:30 | Speaker 6:

We love you. Thank you.

00:59:31 - 00:59:55 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. I got a funny story. I took my kids to Kipkos, and I gave them the number, you know, X, X, X, X, Pound. And I said to my son, go, go, go, go, because he got to get in. And he's looking at the little keypad, and I'm like, what the hell is the problem now? And he's like, what did you say, Mom? Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, pound? And I'm like, yeah. And he looks at me like, Mom, it's hashtag. Oh, yeah. Boy, isn't that interesting? I know.

00:59:56 - 00:59:57 | Speaker 6:

It used to be pound. Now it's hashtag.

00:59:57 - 00:59:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh, wow.

00:59:58 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 6:

No, that's actually true.

01:00:00 - 01:00:07 | Speaker 1:

terminology when you start going I don't know I can't speak to my kid hey that's skibbity riz oh my god

01:00:07 - 01:00:11 | Speaker 3:

Smith says skibbity Ohio Sigma

01:00:11 - 01:00:30 | Speaker 5:

one more time skibbity toilet I truly went on a deep dive to explain the skibbity toilet and even with the explanation I was like oh my god I'm old I still don't get it I still don't get it I didn't watch a 20 minute Breakdown video, and I went, no, it still doesn't make sense.

01:00:32 - 01:00:38 | Speaker 1:

Real quick, I want to get one last one before you go into class. A teacher with one, how she felt that she was old. Jennifer?

01:00:39 - 01:01:02 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, guys. Happy New Year. Happy New Year. So, again, I teach middle school, and I felt old twice. One was when a former student of mine came into our building to be a teacher. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Yep. And then the second time I felt extremely old is when a student was the child of a former student.

01:01:03 - 01:01:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. Wow. Yeah, that's weird.

01:01:06 - 01:01:08 | Speaker 4:

How old were you when you started to teach? And I'm only 51.

01:01:09 - 01:01:09 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow.

01:01:09 - 01:01:12 | Speaker 4:

I was, yeah, like 27, 28, something like that.

01:01:12 - 01:01:28 | Speaker 1:

That's wild. That is amazing. Yeah, and you start, when people will say to me, I've been listening to you since, you know, and they'll come up to me and they'll say that to me. And I'm like, a moment ago, I thought you were actually pretty attractive. No, no, no.

01:01:28 - 01:01:32 | Speaker 5:

I have one more. My therapist said, I listened to you when I was in high school.

01:01:33 - 01:01:37 | Speaker 1:

Oh, damn. I'd be like, now I need therapy for that.

01:01:38 - 01:01:47 | Speaker 6:

He picked his nose. He smelled. He made her pay. What the hell happened? Second date update happens after 8 on Mojo in the Morning.

01:01:48 - 01:02:25 | Speaker 1:

01:02:26 - 01:02:29 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:02:29 - 01:02:31 | Speaker 1:

Shannon, with the Dirty on the 30, what's trending this hour, Shannon?

01:02:31 - 01:02:52 | Speaker 3:

You guys remember Twitch, the dancer, choreographer? He was on the Ellen show, So You Think You Can Dance. He passed away in 2022 very, very tragically through his own life. Yeah, that was a big story at the time. Well, now his wife, Allison Holker, is opening up about the hidden struggles that her late husband was wrestling with that she had no idea he even was.

01:02:52 - 01:03:35 | Speaker 2:

There was a moment, I was with one of my really dear friends, and we were cleaning out the closet and picking out an outfit for him for the funeral. And it was a really triggering moment for me because there was a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed. And it was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue. So that was, it was a really scary moment in my life to figure that out. But it also helped me process that he was going through so much. And he was hiding so much. And there must have been a lot of shame in that. And he was wrestling with a lot inside himself. And he was trying to self-medicate and cope with all those feelings because he didn't want to put it on anyone.

01:03:35 - 01:04:27 | Speaker 3:

She has a tell-all memoir coming out in a couple of weeks as well. However, Twitch's family is not happy about any of this. They are really, really upset with Allison for airing out his alleged drug use, his mental health struggles, which we kind of knew a little bit about. And for allegedly making them sign NDAs in order to attend his funeral, which that's information we're just learning about. One of Twitch's cousins, her name is Elle, she tweeted yesterday he wasn't an addict. He smoked weed and was actively trying to quit. He wasn't some junkie. She also alleged that Allison has kept Twitch's three kids from seeing all of his relatives and then a close friend of Twitch's echoed his cousin's comments in a lengthy Instagram post, part of which said, this is by far the most tacky, classless, opportunistic act I have ever seen in my entire life.

01:04:27 - 01:04:32 | Speaker 1:

I wonder if Ellen still is in contact with her and helps them out.

01:04:32 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 3:

So I was reading a lot of comments in some posts about this yesterday and a lot of people were saying clearly the people who are blasting her have never had a close friend or family member die by suicide because this is actually very, very important to share and be transparent to help others who have walked through that. Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, remember them? They have lost their home in that massive wildfire that's currently burning on LA's

01:05:00 - 01:05:31 | Speaker 5:

side in the Pacific Palisades. Their home burned to the ground yesterday as the wildfire tore through that celebrity-filled neighborhood. Now, they were able to safely evacuate earlier in the day to another location, but they were just very open about how devastated they were by the loss of their home. Lots of celebrities in that same area, including Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Ben Affleck, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Sandler, James Woods, Michael Keaton. I mean, these fires are perhaps the biggest story, one of the biggest stories in the nation right now.

01:05:31 - 01:05:44 | Speaker 3:

You want to hear one of the celebrity stories that came out yesterday? Yeah. A guy was in Three Men and a Baby, Police Academy movies. He was in a bunch of stuff like in the 80s and 90s. Steve Guttenberg.

01:05:44 - 01:05:44 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:05:45 - 01:06:04 | Speaker 3:

He was just walking the streets when they were doing a report on KTLA and the reporter comes up to just start talking to him and he wants to tell the reporter to tell people that are leaving to leave their keys in the car because there's no way for fire trucks to get by these cars that are just sitting parked in the middle of the street.

01:06:04 - 01:06:54 | Speaker 7:

Which is not something I'm going to talk about. I wonder if I could just make. Here on Palisades Drive, if anybody has a car and they leave their car, leave the keys in the car so that we can move your car so that these fire trucks can get up Palisades Drive. What's happening is people take their keys with them as if they're in a parking lot. This is not a parking lot. We really need people to move their cars, so if you leave your car in Palisades Drive, leave the key in there so a guy like me can move your cars and get them up there so that these fire trucks can get up there. It's really, really important. Thank you for talking to us live, sir. What's your name? My name is Steve Gutenberg. Steve, do you live in this area? I live in the area. I live right up the hill, and thank goodness everybody. But I have friends up there right now, and they can't evacuate because it's stuck on Palisades Drive. You're an actor. Yeah, I'm an actor.

01:06:54 - 01:07:03 | Speaker 8:

You look familiar to me now. So, sir, do you have family up there? I was just talking to that gentleman. He has a mom who's stuck up in the hills. Yeah, there are people stuck up there.

01:07:04 - 01:07:07 | Speaker 7:

So we're trying to clear Palisade Drive, and I'm walking up there as far as I can.

01:07:08 - 01:07:10 | Speaker 3:

He sounds like Steve Guttenberg. I mean, I guess he is Steve Guttenberg.

01:07:11 - 01:07:16 | Speaker 5:

I love that he wasn't offended that the guy didn't know who he was. I mean, could you be?

01:07:17 - 01:07:22 | Speaker 3:

No, he's very recognizable. He was a younger reporter. He was a big, big, big, big name. Google it, you know that man's face.

01:07:22 - 01:07:25 | Speaker 6:

But I don't, I don't know. I don't know his name, but I know his face for sure.

01:07:25 - 01:07:32 | Speaker 5:

No, but I'm saying, regardless of his age and how long ago he was like a quote-unquote, you know, A-lister, if he ever was an A-lister.

01:07:32 - 01:07:37 | Speaker 6:

At least he wasn't like, you don't know who I am. I'm sorry to this man, but I do not know who he is. Here's the deal, though.

01:07:37 - 01:07:43 | Speaker 3:

That would be me on the red carpet of the Golden Globes. I'd be like, and what is your name? My name is Bob De Niro.

01:07:44 - 01:07:47 | Speaker 5:

Just like you do to all of our salespeople, and they're like, I've worked here for 10 years.

01:07:47 - 01:08:02 | Speaker 6:

So everybody was calling out Drew Afualo because she had, she was doing variety, I think maybe for the Golden Globes and had photos, names, and listing of projects and everybody was like, you don't know? And every person there has a list of everybody.

01:08:02 - 01:08:03 | Speaker 4:

It's like Devil Wears Prada.

01:08:04 - 01:08:45 | Speaker 5:

Yes, exactly. What you're nominated for. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Is anybody following along with the Barstool sports drama between Dave Portnoy and Grace O'Malley? Oh, yeah. I know Lydia is because we were texting about it. But so she, Grace, left Barstool, I think like beginning of December, amid her falling out with her former friend, Brianna Chicken Fry, her former co-host, also on the Plan Brie Uncut podcast. And Dave has maintained that Grace's exit has had had zero to do with him. Well, she recently made a comment on her podcast about her pay over at Barstool, excuse me. And she used the word decent, decent pay, which has now caused some controversy.

01:08:47 - 01:09:04 | Speaker 3:

Oh, am I playing? I'm sorry. What am I playing here? Grace. Grace. Give me Grace for this one. Here we go. Yes. Why is it not playing? Hold on. My bar is not working. Hold on. I got it right here. Here's Grace.

01:09:05 - 01:09:08 | Speaker 1:

I had the option to leave and I took it.

01:09:08 - 01:09:09 | Speaker 2:

Was it a good salary?

01:09:09 - 01:09:13 | Speaker 1:

It was decent. It wasn't equated to...

01:09:15 - 01:09:16 | Speaker 2:

Was it like $500,000?

01:09:16 - 01:09:21 | Speaker 1:

No, nothing close to that, no. My buddy was making a little bit more. A lot of bit more.

01:09:22 - 01:09:23 | Speaker 5:

A whole s**t more.

01:09:24 - 01:09:27 | Speaker 1:

But she was doing another podcast and whatnot. Oh, that's right.

01:09:27 - 01:09:36 | Speaker 2:

She was bringing a baby different fans from that also. Yeah, yeah. Got it. So relative. Yeah, and also some of that stuff is, as much as it's live and learn sometimes.

01:09:36 - 01:09:38 | Speaker 1:

I also didn't care. I was just happy to be there.

01:09:38 - 01:09:44 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so, of course, Dave Portnoy is like, mm-mm, mm-mm, I'm going to be transparent and put it all out there, and he did.

01:09:45 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Dave Portnoy, I got to play now. Hold on, there's Dave. There's Dave Portnoy. It does bother me when people make it seem like they're not getting paid fairly, and I think we treated, as I've said from the beginning, Grace great. So, again, I'm just going to say exactly what she got paid instead of talking, like, hypotheticals.

01:10:00 - 01:10:52 | Speaker 2:

you know not exactly putting numbers down i'll just say what her contract was she was finishing up her third year at barstool her base salary 175 grand a year um on top of that she got 70 percent of anything that we were able to sell on her personal social so if we have like ads it's like hey grace do this on your instagram um she gets 70 of that so she got another 75 000 uh in 2024 that way. Total salary for last year, a quarter million, $250,000 to Grace. I think that's pretty fair, pretty good. I know she's like, my friend made a lot more than I did. She's referring to Brie. I mean, Brie was a much bigger personality, way more followers, bigger everything. And really, obviously, Grace's star has risen recently with the blow-up and

01:10:52 - 01:11:11 | Speaker 6:

everything happening it was before the blow up that's so dismissive and i hate that dave portnoy did that and also it is a very common thread among barstool employees to talk about their incomes and what other people on their same level are making there's a lot of discrepancy there when it comes to if dave likes you or not i think there's a lot of missing information in this whole

01:11:11 - 01:11:20 | Speaker 4:

conversation everybody needs to be in charge of advocating for herself and she was being very aloof with what she's being paid and i don't i think he was standing his ground

01:11:20 - 01:11:21 | Speaker 3:

Honestly.

01:11:21 - 01:11:25 | Speaker 7:

She said at one point she was just working for free. She was like selling t-shirts.

01:11:25 - 01:11:28 | Speaker 3:

And that's your choice. Well, and that's called paying your dues. I mean, I hate to say it.

01:11:28 - 01:11:31 | Speaker 4:

You have to advocate for yourself. Or internship.

01:11:31 - 01:11:36 | Speaker 3:

Everybody starts kind of like doing it. And then when their star rises, they end up leaving and going to a mall.

01:11:36 - 01:11:45 | Speaker 6:

She did not say, I was not paid enough or a livable wage or whatever. She's talking about the discrepancy between her and fellow employees.

01:11:45 - 01:12:31 | Speaker 7:

And lastly, a Royal Oak business owner wants the city to rename Campbell Road, which runs north to south from 14 miles to 696, to Dan Campbell Road in honor of the Lions head coach. I love this. Christopher Powell is the CEO of HR Pro. It's a human resources consulting business. It's located on Campbell Road. If you've ever been in Royal Oak, you know, Campbell Road. But yesterday he actually submitted an official proposal to rename the street to Dan Campbell Road. And the Royal Oak Mayor, Michael Fornier, he's a diehard Lions fan. He said, I got the proposal. I'm going to tackle this soon. So we'll see if it happens. Wouldn't that be amazing? Tackle this. I like that. 01:14:39 - 01:14:41 | Speaker 5:

I'm heading to school. I'm a teacher. Oh, really?

01:14:41 - 01:14:42 | Speaker 3:

What school?

01:14:43 - 01:14:45 | Speaker 5:

I teach at Tomek Eastern in Fenton.

01:14:45 - 01:14:48 | Speaker 3:

Hello to everybody. How old are the kids that you teach?

01:14:49 - 01:14:51 | Speaker 5:

They are six years old. I'm a first grade teacher.

01:14:51 - 01:14:56 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. Man, you got patience. You got patience. How old are you, Brianna?

01:14:57 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 5:

I'm about to be 28.

01:15:00 - 01:16:36 | Speaker 1:

01:16:36 - 01:16:41 | Speaker 2:

in another neighbor's house I don't even know who would do that right I just kind of think it up

01:16:41 - 01:17:15 | Speaker 1:

that's me well I I see Luke's bag there and then I see these two pillows that are there and I said to Luke I go Luke uh take your bag and your pillows and put them up in your room and I go by the way why do you have your pillows here i didn't i didn't know what was going on and um and he goes well those aren't really my pillows and i said well whose pillows are those pillows he goes that's from the hotel he goes there were pillows oh he's stealing really well they were very comfortable i know i get it but think how many heads have sweat on that pillow well i i would hope i mean that's true but because the pillowcase doesn't matter

01:17:15 - 01:17:24 | Speaker 3:

it sweats in you sweat into the pillow do you travel with your own pillow no it's gross every time i sleep in a hotel i think about it but at least i'm only doing it for a day or two and i i

01:17:24 - 01:17:44 | Speaker 1:

said to luke i go to luke i go you're a thief i go you can't steal this first off i gotta look at my bills they charge me for these pillows but also then i started thinking oh what a great topic what's what what have you stolen from a uh a hotel have you guys ever done that you guys okay

01:17:44 - 01:18:27 | Speaker 3:

so the hotel that lucy and i stayed at when we went to our annual mom daughter trip to new york city a couple of weeks ago right they had and you know how bad i want one the dyson hair dryer oh and i was like i wonder if i stole it if it would be discounted you know what i mean because they always will say they'll charge you if you or at least i think they would they're gonna charge you if a dyson hair dryer is missing but they're not gonna charge you the full price that it is if i bought it new online really i was like this could be a deal no i feel like it would be more Exactly. No. Like a convenience charge. What if they only charged me $100 for it? Steal. I would take it. I'd risk it. I really thought about it. I really sat there and thought about it. You should ask them. Did it have, like, the case and all the accessories?

01:18:28 - 01:18:49 | Speaker 2:

No. Oh. Bro, I remember my mama, she, we used to have so many bottles of shampoo and conditioner and them little thin-ass square soaps. Like, I can't bathe with this thin-ass soaps. Oh, my God, bro. I'd be like, mom, we got a shampoo. Look in the closet. You go in there and it'd be like the Hiltons. You know what I hate now? They don't do that anymore.

01:18:49 - 01:19:44 | Speaker 1:

I hate that the hotels have refillables because everybody's worried about the environment. And they're stuck to the wall. I want the plastics. That was also something that we would take too. And my sister Tracy was always the queen. She still does it today. She has like the same thing, a thing in her closet where it all is. The best is, and I know friends that have done this. i've had friends that have taken big things out of the uh the hotel rooms like tvs well kind of really yeah i've had i've had a friend of mine that said that he was like yeah you guys there's a tv there he takes the tv out and it was a hotel that was up at a hotel up in grand blank area that's crazy and he's got and i'm like well what about the the remote's not going to work because the remote is the remote he goes no the remote worked it actually worked out did they get charged uh no it didn't get charged for the thing yeah see i'm thinking about even luke like walking

01:19:44 - 01:19:50 | Speaker 3:

through with a pillow they know you know they take a little note on your account i want to know

01:19:50 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 1:

what did you take from a hotel and what hotel was it because i want to know if it was good uh elizabeth hi hell yeah what what did you take

01:20:00 - 01:20:13 | Speaker 5:

pillows oh my gosh the pillows are the best pillows but we take towels my husband likes like the rough washcloths we take the washcloths but listen but listen shannon i knew shannon was

01:20:13 - 01:20:18 | Speaker 1:

01:20:18 - 01:20:24 | Speaker 5:

let shannon take the fall bleach it just bleach the heck out of everything yeah bring it home

01:20:24 - 01:20:29 | Speaker 1:

no it's not that i have no problem with the cleanliness it's the rough texture go treat

01:20:29 - 01:20:36 | Speaker 5:

yourself to a good loofah my husband loves the rough washcloths i know i like the soft ones

01:20:36 - 01:21:02 | Speaker 3:

it depends what hotel you stay at i'll tell you what you stay the the uh the shinola in detroit those are the nice they they buy they also have these uh uh for your phone and stuff like that they have the shinola like light stuff or like i want to move in there and live oh it would be That would be, honestly, if they rented, like, a room, like an apartment, that would be where I would want to live.

01:21:02 - 01:21:02 | Speaker 1:

Spread my ashes there.

01:21:03 - 01:21:06 | Speaker 3:

What's up? Doug, hi. What did you steal from a hotel?

01:21:08 - 01:21:28 | Speaker 4:

Mojo. Good morning. Morning. Dude, I always, so I go on business trips all the time. I'm all over the country, soon to be all over the world. I always, always, always, and my fiance hates this, I always come home with a new robe. Really?

01:21:28 - 01:21:29 | Speaker 1:

No.

01:21:29 - 01:21:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Every single time.

01:21:33 - 01:21:35 | Speaker 1:

They're not good. I'm going to tell you something.

01:21:35 - 01:21:36 | Speaker 4:

Oh, they're awesome.

01:21:36 - 01:21:55 | Speaker 1:

What do you mean? I agree with you. They're awesome. I always, well, I used to always wear them. Until recently, I went to put on a robe at the hotel, and there was a poop streak in it. Oh, no. And forevermore, I think to myself, they do not wash these.

01:21:56 - 01:22:00 | Speaker 4:

You've got to inspect the robe just like you inspect the room. That's part of the room.

01:22:00 - 01:22:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. The robe. But robes from, like, really nice hotels are great robes.

01:22:06 - 01:22:06 | Speaker 4:

Splish.

01:22:06 - 01:22:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:22:07 - 01:22:08 | Speaker 4:

Oh, dude, they are. They're amazing.

01:22:09 - 01:22:11 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Gail? Hi. How are you?

01:22:12 - 01:22:14 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. Glad to have you guys back.

01:22:14 - 01:22:15 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

01:22:16 - 01:22:40 | Speaker 6:

So I saw this really, a pair of really pretty canvas paintings, black and white flowers, in a hotel bathroom. and I took them, and I hung them up in my apartment. Oh, not the hotel art. I just know it wasn't good art. It was really pretty. No. Okay, and I was like, I was really young. I was really stupid and really poor, okay? I just really wanted those night takes.

01:22:41 - 01:22:42 | Speaker 7:

That's a good one.

01:22:42 - 01:23:03 | Speaker 3:

I love when, you know, people will steal also from the hotel, and then they'll say, I need the matching set, so let me check in like a year or two years later and find the matching set. What's up, Joe? How you doing? Joe. Yeah. Hey, buddy. That's you. How you doing?

01:23:04 - 01:23:04 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

01:23:05 - 01:23:10 | Speaker 3:

What'd you steal? Wait, no, hold on. Joe, this is a good one. Joe, tell everybody what you stole from a hotel.

01:23:12 - 01:23:26 | Speaker 2:

Okay, well, I didn't really steal it. I just replaced good bulbs for bad bulbs. Remember the floor lamps? They had the halogen lights. They were like $30 a bulb. I would take my bad one, put it in with a good one, so I kind of replaced the good for a bad one.

01:23:27 - 01:23:32 | Speaker 3:

You're taking the light bulbs now. That's sophisticated. What hotel has the best light bulbs?

01:23:34 - 01:23:38 | Speaker 2:

You know, it was a floor lamp, so it was like the Motel 6 and the cheaper hotels.

01:23:38 - 01:23:51 | Speaker 3:

Okay. That's funny, man, taking the old. Wait, isn't that the one that says we'll leave the light on for you? Yeah. Not if Joe gets them first. What's up, Connie? How you doing?

01:23:52 - 01:24:04 | Speaker 7:

Good morning, Mojo. First time caller. Hey! He's on the phone! I'm calling because I'm a general manager of a hotel for 25 years.

01:24:04 - 01:24:05 | Speaker 3:

Oh, geez. Are we in trouble?

01:24:06 - 01:24:09 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. There's a lot of stories to tell. Oh, my God.

01:24:10 - 01:24:12 | Speaker 3:

Man, what happens when people do this?

01:24:12 - 01:24:29 | Speaker 7:

We have people that steal everything. As far as, like, stealing stuff, we charge more than what we pay for it because of the fact that it's an inconvenience because sometimes we don't have them, so we have to put a room out of order or things like that. So we do charge for the bigger items more money.

01:24:30 - 01:24:33 | Speaker 3:

Wow, what's the biggest thing somebody has ever stolen from a hotel?

01:24:34 - 01:24:45 | Speaker 7:

We had a granite table that was in the lobby, and somebody actually put it on a luggage cart and tried to walk out the door with it. In the lobby. That's insane.

01:24:45 - 01:24:47 | Speaker 3:

Can you ask a bellman to come up and help you?

01:24:48 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, so I walked up there and I said, what are you doing? She says, housekeeping told me to move it. I said, they told you to move a hundred pound table to another room. Housekeeping.

01:25:00 - 01:25:01 | Speaker 1:

Connie, that's priceless.

01:25:03 - 01:25:05 | Speaker 4:

There's so many stories you could tell.

01:25:05 - 01:25:12 | Speaker 1:

People are crazy. What is the most common thing stolen? Because somebody told me it was the Bibles, which I think they want you to take.

01:25:12 - 01:25:13 | Speaker 4:

They don't want you to steal.

01:25:13 - 01:25:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:25:14 - 01:25:21 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they don't recommend them anymore in the room because nobody ever reads them, unfortunately. But the towels are the number one thing.

01:25:22 - 01:25:22 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:25:23 - 01:25:36 | Speaker 4:

We cannot keep towels. Pillows are, yeah, they do steal the pillows because they are very comfortable. Yeah. We get a lot of people that actually come up, can I buy them from you? And I'll actually go get them a brand new one and give it to them. Oh, that's so nice.

01:25:36 - 01:25:40 | Speaker 1:

Have you ever had anybody take the mattress in the bed frame at all?

01:25:41 - 01:25:42 | Speaker 4:

You don't want to.

01:25:44 - 01:25:55 | Speaker 1:

That's amazing. Well, Connie, the hotel manager, thank you for calling and apologize for all we've stolen from you over the years. Initial T, what did you call for?

01:25:56 - 01:25:58 | Speaker 5:

Hi, so my friend and I.

01:25:58 - 01:26:02 | Speaker 1:

You're voice disguised, by the way. I just want you to know that. She's voice disguised. Yeah.

01:26:03 - 01:26:18 | Speaker 5:

My friend and I ended up at the Shinola Hotel one night. And as we were leaving, we noticed there was this stuffed animal dog in the lobby. Yes! It kind of resembled the Victoria's Secret pink dog. Yes! I don't give out back in the day, but bigger.

01:26:18 - 01:26:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:26:19 - 01:26:41 | Speaker 5:

So we got this dog into our Uber with us when we realized that there was a watch. A Shinola watch. Her and I both freaked out, like, we have to put this dog back. We hear the security guard yelling, Beethoven, he's a Beethoven. We threw that thing out of the Uber so quick. Oh, my God. They also have a camera right there.

01:26:43 - 01:26:48 | Speaker 1:

Dots of circle. Can you imagine you go to jail because you did that? Oh, that's funny.

01:26:48 - 01:26:51 | Speaker 5:

That's what I heard. We said, we do not want to go to jail over this.

01:26:51 - 01:26:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, geez. The Uber driver is the accomplice. He's driving the speed away. Thank you for the call, Initial T. We appreciate you.

01:27:00 - 01:27:01 | Speaker 5:

Yes, love you guys.

01:27:02 - 01:27:02 | Speaker 1:

Love you, too.

01:27:02 - 01:27:38 | Speaker 3:

Let's just go right with it, right? Who needs foreplay? Nobody wants appetizers. Let's get right to the meal. All right. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. and uh megan you're next up here right now phone number is 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 megan would like to call herself out right now because yes she is that co-worker oh my god i

01:29:03 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 2:

hate i hate people who do this and i cannot believe that i have now become the person that i hate the most and it's the person that accidentally sends the reply all email to the entire office i am a demas is what i will say uh we get emails every once in a while that are like hey we have extra tickets to this like if you want it first come first term claim it yada yada yada we were very lucky it was a lot of theater tickets i was trying to be responsible i was like pick the one you want to go to first check your work email i did so i uh wanted some of these tickets wanted to claim them and i thought i hit reply hit reply all and it was so and so show this date please and thank god because i love this co-worker so much that i usually post like send rude emails because i like him like he and i are friends

01:30:00 - 01:30:24 | Speaker 5:

And I'm usually like, you butthole. Or if you are like, if you don't want to get, I don't know, jump to the parking lot, you'll save me a pair of tickets for this, you know, like something stupid. And so I'm really, really grateful that I didn't do anything that would come off super, super rude. But it just got me thinking about, I hate people who do this. Thank God it wasn't embarrassing. I know somebody has said something awful to the entire office. Can you please share it with us?

01:30:24 - 01:30:28 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. What's the, what is the worst reply all that somebody has ever done?

01:30:28 - 01:30:33 | Speaker 5:

Like, shut up, or I hate you, or I can't stand this person. I'd love to hear those.

01:30:34 - 01:30:56 | Speaker 2:

Wasn't there one here maybe a decade ago in our station where somebody meant to tell on somebody else, and they replied all, and it went to everybody? What? Because what happens is they put it in there, even if you take out people's individual emails, they put it as Detroit, Grand Rapids, Toledo programming.

01:30:56 - 01:30:56 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

01:30:56 - 01:31:01 | Speaker 2:

And that means that everybody gets it. Yeah. Yeah. That's crazy.

01:31:01 - 01:31:08 | Speaker 4:

And two people around here were like, oh, are you going to go see this musical that I asked for tickets for? I was like, yeah, how did you know?

01:31:08 - 01:31:13 | Speaker 5:

It took me hours to realize that I had replied all, and everybody in this building got that email.

01:31:13 - 01:31:14 | Speaker 1:

That's so funny.

01:31:14 - 01:31:15 | Speaker 5:

No. No, it's hilarious.

01:31:15 - 01:31:29 | Speaker 1:

No, because you've done this before where you'll send text messages to everyone here saying, hey, do you want to do X, Y, and Z? Reply to me only. And everybody blows up the text message. He's like, if you just read the last line, the instructions are there.

01:31:29 - 01:31:46 | Speaker 5:

I moved it to the first line. And it was, do not reply to this group chat. Text me individually. And within three minutes, somebody will reply to the group chat. And I'm like, eliminate it. Honestly, when it happens from now on, you're not going to get on the next text thread. But you're out of the next endorsement opportunity. That's how I think.

01:31:46 - 01:31:48 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's going on, Kayla? How you doing?

01:31:49 - 01:31:50 | Speaker 8:

Good. How are you guys?

01:31:50 - 01:31:52 | Speaker 2:

Good. What was the reply all?

01:31:52 - 01:32:14 | Speaker 8:

so i worked at a restaurant in birmingham and we came in one morning to uh the morning shift and a server actually did a reply all like quit um to like trash the entire all the managers the restaurant and everything really wow it was really funny oh boy at least everybody was aware

01:32:14 - 01:32:22 | Speaker 2:

she wasn't coming in you know were you guys happy to see her quit uh yeah it was a guy actually

01:32:22 - 01:32:29 | Speaker 8:

It was a really bad server and had an attitude problem, but it was just so funny that we're just like, I think I still have the email list from, like, 10 years ago because I thought it was hilarious.

01:32:29 - 01:32:32 | Speaker 2:

That's cool. Thanks, Kayla. What's up, Augusta? Hi.

01:32:34 - 01:32:38 | Speaker 6:

Hi. My boss replied all saying how much he was annoyed and didn't like me.

01:32:39 - 01:32:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man. That's not good. Did your boss then make it up with giving you a raise because they felt so embarrassed by this?

01:32:50 - 01:32:53 | Speaker 6:

No. Well, he definitely tried to backtrack and say it wasn't about me.

01:32:54 - 01:32:55 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man.

01:32:57 - 01:33:00 | Speaker 6:

I was requesting time off during COVID.

01:33:01 - 01:33:06 | Speaker 2:

And he came back and said, Augusta is not a great employee or something?

01:33:07 - 01:33:11 | Speaker 6:

No. Well, he was trying to talk to just his...

01:33:11 - 01:33:12 | Speaker 2:

Management team?

01:33:12 - 01:33:17 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, to the management. And he sent it to everyone.

01:33:18 - 01:33:21 | Speaker 2:

Wow. That's awful. Thanks for the call. What's up, Chase? How you doing?

01:33:22 - 01:33:23 | Speaker 3:

Good. How are you?

01:33:23 - 01:33:30 | Speaker 2:

Good. We're talking about how Megan is that person. She's the reply all or she did it. Now she can never, ever live this down.

01:33:32 - 01:33:56 | Speaker 3:

You have nothing to worry about. At BG, a couple of years ago when I was there, a CCP student replied all to the whole university asking about interim grades of people replying to her. at the university, they had to shut down the email platform. Oh, my God.

01:33:57 - 01:33:58 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

01:33:58 - 01:34:00 | Speaker 3:

And I just want to say I'm a first caller.

01:34:01 - 01:34:04 | Speaker 5:

First time, all time. Go Falcons. I love PG.

01:34:06 - 01:34:07 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Victoria?

01:34:08 - 01:34:09 | Speaker 7:

Hello.

01:34:10 - 01:34:10 | Speaker 2:

What's up?

01:34:10 - 01:34:33 | Speaker 7:

So a few years back, my husband and I finished our basement, And the company that we used, my husband was attached to an email within the company because my husband's one of those that likes things a little bit cheaper, if possible. Anyways, I guess here's a pain to them because they replied that my husband's a douchebag and a bunch of just, like, mean things about my husband, and he was attached to the email.

01:34:34 - 01:34:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Yeah. So what happens after that? After something like that happens, just like the caller with the boss that called them out, does something they have to make up for it, or how does that work?

01:34:50 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 7:

So my husband called them out, and they were beyond embarrassed, and they were trying to give us a bunch of free upgrades because they were a well-known company.

01:35:00 - 01:35:08 | Speaker 5:

And we actually recommended him to a lot of our neighbors, and they were just pretty embarrassed. But we got a lot of free things out of it, so it worked out.

01:35:08 - 01:35:10 | Speaker 3:

There you go. All right. And is he a douchebag?

01:35:11 - 01:35:14 | Speaker 5:

My husband is not a douchebag. Okay. I'm just wondering.

01:35:15 - 01:35:19 | Speaker 3:

I'm just wondering. All right. Larry, what did you send to the entire company on a reply all?

01:35:21 - 01:35:41 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, it was during tax time. I got an email from corporate saying that we had to send in our tax information. I filled out the form, and I ended up sending my name, social security number, address, everything I had to the entire corporate office and all the employees throughout 52 stores.

01:35:42 - 01:35:46 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. How many times has your identity stolen?

01:35:47 - 01:35:51 | Speaker 6:

You know what? Luckily, I'm broke as a joke, and my credit's horrible, so it doesn't matter.

01:35:52 - 01:35:56 | Speaker 1:

Your social security number, though, that's bad. That's so bad.

01:35:56 - 01:36:08 | Speaker 6:

it was luckily no one did anything with it i got a lot of uh smart aleck comments and and jokes sent my way but other than that it was you know it ended up being painless

01:36:08 - 01:36:39 | Speaker 7:

wow valerie what's up hi it's mojo in the morning hi i accidentally replied all at a previous job i kept deleting the group chats i i didn't want them i didn't i didn't want to reply to them And I accidentally was texting a girlfriend, and I sent to them, you owe me $30 for the Adderall. Oh, no. Oh, so you're selling. Yeah, well, she ran short and borrowed it. Sure, sure, sure, sure, sure.

01:36:42 - 01:36:44 | Speaker 3:

Kristen, this is a good one. Kristen, hi.

01:36:45 - 01:36:46 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

01:36:46 - 01:36:47 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

01:36:49 - 01:36:56 | Speaker 4:

Just driving to work. I'm actually in South Carolina, but I grew up in Detroit, but I listen every morning. Oh, my gosh. I love it.

01:36:56 - 01:37:01 | Speaker 3:

iHeartRadio app coming in strong. We love you for listening. Thank you. Down there with the Gamecocks.

01:37:02 - 01:37:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, Gamecocks. Yeah, my brother-in-law loves them.

01:37:06 - 01:37:09 | Speaker 3:

Do they say Go-Cocks all the time? Is that their thing?

01:37:10 - 01:37:29 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they literally do. It's hilarious. But I was working at a big golf course, and they did Employee of the Month every month, And so they sent out a mass email to, like, get your vote in. And someone responded all and nominated himself. Hell, yeah. Hell, yeah.

01:37:32 - 01:37:32 | Speaker 3:

Did he win?

01:37:34 - 01:37:34 | Speaker 4:

No.

01:37:35 - 01:37:39 | Speaker 3:

See, I would have given it to him just for the thought. Yeah.

01:37:40 - 01:37:40 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:37:41 - 01:37:52 | Speaker 3:

I know. I think that's great. Hey, thank you for the call. We appreciate it. Enjoy your weather because we're not enjoying ours. But take care. You viewed my snap. You read my text. No callback?

01:37:52 - 01:37:56 | Speaker 6:

Second date update is coming up at 820 on Mojo in the Morning.

01:37:57 - 01:38:43 | Speaker 3:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. Phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. The text is 95500 to get through to us. I was watching some of Dan Campbell's press conference yesterday that he had, and there was a couple things. that I saw a couple pieces of audio that are Lions-related that I thought were pretty good. Number one, watching his press conference and hearing this guy, like, we all don't want to see our coordinators leaving, right? We want the Lions to stay together for a while. Like, at least, I hate to say, Ben Johnson can't go anywhere. We can't. He's revitalized Jared Goff's career.

01:38:43 - 01:38:46 | Speaker 1:

He has to be the happiest person at Detroit because you know no matter what, he's getting a raise.

01:38:47 - 01:39:18 | Speaker 3:

Well, and he got a big one last year that we just found out about during the season that they're paying him one of the highest amount of money for offensive coordinators. Yes, they should. Well, Aaron Glenn, who's our defensive coordinator that everybody is talking about. Incredibly valuable. He's the talk of the town because he's had so many injuries on that defense. And last week in the biggest game probably of the Lions franchise history, he had the best defense going. Well, Dan Campbell, what a guy.

01:39:18 - 01:39:18 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:39:19 - 01:39:26 | Speaker 3:

He talked up his coordinators and said these guys deserve to get head coaching jobs. Take a listen to this from yesterday's press conference.

01:39:26 - 01:39:58 | Speaker 2:

Aaron Glenn is as good a coach as you're going to find. He's an even better human being. But, look, if nobody wants him, I'll take him again. I can tell you that right now. But the thought of going through another cycle and he's not somebody's head coach is ridiculous. I mean, this guy is as good as they come, and he can do it all. Both of those guys, man, they're smart. They're grinders. They're strategic. They understand how to teach, communicate, motivate. And so their work speaks for itself.

01:40:00 - 01:40:18 | Speaker 5:

And both of those guys are more than worthy of being head coaches. They're ready. They ask the right questions. You know, I've tried to give them everything I think they need to be head coaches, and I believe that both of those guys are more than ready. That's incredible. But those two guys do a hell of a job, and so does Fib.

01:40:18 - 01:40:56 | Speaker 3:

He started, like, promoting even, like, special teams coaches, the assistant head coach. He stands in front of the room for us every week. So he's a hell of a coach, too. Campbell is like the guy, man. I mean, you look at the way he does things and you see just how much of Dan Campbell, you know, in his whole attitude, this whole team has, including the people who are on his staff that are just sideline people. If you go to a game, watch the people that work on the sidelines that even just do the water to the players. Like, they're busting their ass, like everybody on that team.

01:40:56 - 01:41:12 | Speaker 7:

But he's so smart because so much of this is about culture and not wanting to leave culture. And when you're appreciated and valued and there's I don't think what Dan Campbell has built, which all credit has to go to him. You don't want to leave that. It's so rare. It's so rare.

01:41:12 - 01:41:30 | Speaker 4:

And a lot of time you often hear players in interviews talk about, to your point, the culture. Now, incredible it would be to play for a coach like Dan Campbell. So this interview makes me feel like there are also coaches out there who also want to be coached and led by a guy like Dan Campbell. They'd like to be the next coordinator. You know what I mean? That's huge.

01:41:30 - 01:41:40 | Speaker 7:

I want to work for somebody I know who has my back. And he always has everybody's back. Even when they lose, what's the first thing Dan Campbell says? It was my bad. It was my fault.

01:41:40 - 01:41:50 | Speaker 3:

And then I was watching ESPN yesterday, and I'm watching their football show that they have, the NFL show that's on in the day with Dan Orlowski and those guys on there.

01:41:50 - 01:41:51 | Speaker 4:

NFL Live, I think.

01:41:51 - 01:41:51 | Speaker 3:

NFL Live.

01:41:51 - 01:41:52 | Speaker 2:

I love him, too.

01:41:52 - 01:42:11 | Speaker 3:

And they played a clip, and I'm like, eh, that's Brad Galley. And they played a clip from Brad Galley interviewing some of the players. And the player that he interviewed, and I can't remember what the guy's name is because I think he might be literally one of the third string, second string guys that came up and played on our defense. He had his son with him. Yeah, Al Muhammad.

01:42:11 - 01:42:11 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:42:12 - 01:42:12 | Speaker 3:

Is that who he is?

01:42:12 - 01:42:14 | Speaker 4:

He was at the Pizzles game the other day.

01:42:14 - 01:42:34 | Speaker 3:

Was he? He and his son are there. And his son is probably, I'm guessing, maybe 14 years old or something like that. Definitely a teenager, yeah. And he's a teenager, and listen to this kid. They played the clip on ESPN, and it's from Brad Galley at Channel 7, our good friend. But listen to this kid talking about his dad. It made me literally tear up as a father of three sons. Take a listen.

01:42:34 - 01:42:42 | Speaker 8:

Time for one more thing before we go. Check out this moment from Lions linebacker Al-Quddin Muhammad and his son after clinching the top seed.

01:42:42 - 01:42:44 | Speaker 3:

What impresses you most about what your dad has done this season?

01:42:45 - 01:42:57 | Speaker 1:

Man, I'm just happy. I'm just happy that he's a dog, man. Go out every day, do what he do. We pray our nightmare. I love this guy. I love him. He's my dad. We're going big. Oh, I love him. I was going to say it. That's unreal.

01:42:57 - 01:43:02 | Speaker 8:

I went to high school with him. That's unreal. Put him on defense. The kid. I went to high school with his son. Oh, my goodness.

01:43:03 - 01:43:30 | Speaker 3:

Is that not crazy? That's so cool. Is that not? That's awesome. So great job to Brad on getting that piece of audio, but also great job to, I didn't catch what his son's name is, but what the hell is his name? His name Al, yeah. It's funny, I know a lot of the Lions players, but they bring in so many different guys, I'm like, where did this guy come from? These guys were either practice squad guys or guys we picked up, obviously, you know, through the season.

01:43:30 - 01:43:35 | Speaker 4:

You hear it in sports all the time when, unfortunately, a player goes down to injury, this next man up mentality,

01:43:35 - 01:44:11 | Speaker 6:

and nobody has modeled that like we have. All right, Mojo in the morning, fans. Wake up, grab your coffee, and let's get ready to do what we do. Come on. Come on now. Forward down the field, A charging team that will not yield And win the blue and silver wave Let's go! Stand and cheer the brave Raw! Raw! Raw! Go hard, win the game With honor, you will keep your faith Down the field and gain Alliance victory Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!

01:44:11 - 01:44:11 | Unknown:

Go! Go!

01:44:11 - 01:44:14 | Speaker 6:

Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!

01:44:14 - 01:44:15 | Speaker 2:

Go! Go!

01:44:15 - 01:44:33 | Speaker 3:

Go! I'm thinking of that kid, by the way, again. I'm thinking of him talking about his dad. I couldn't even get my son to pick up the phone and go on the air with us yesterday. I know. When I was talking about them in the middle of time. Like, my son, I know that he's proud of me, but the little bastard was like, I'm too tired to go on the radio with you, Dad. Mr. P. Mr. P.

01:44:35 - 01:44:38 | Speaker 2:

Yes, the one and only Mr. Positive.

01:44:38 - 01:44:39 | Speaker 3:

Mr. Positive.

01:44:39 - 01:44:41 | Speaker 2:

Mr. Positive.

01:44:41 - 01:44:45 | Speaker 3:

I haven't talked to Mr. Positive since Tic Tac used to have you on all the time.

01:44:46 - 01:44:52 | Speaker 2:

Yes, now I'm on Chris Cuomo and... Chris Cuomo? You've now made it... It's going good, my friend.

01:44:52 - 01:44:54 | Speaker 3:

What's going on? What are you calling about?

01:44:55 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Hopefully our friend Daryl Thomas Double D is listening.

01:45:00 - 01:45:17 | Speaker 1:

My other favorite radio station, 104.3 OMC, mentioned you. Really? There's something happening. Campbell Way or Campbell Road on 14 Mile to 696 in Royal Oak, they want to change it to Dan Campbell Road.

01:45:17 - 01:45:19 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Shannon, we were talking about that, yeah.

01:45:20 - 01:45:42 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and my buddy Ben Campbell at 104.3 was imitating Trump, and he just said, well we should get Mojo in the morning to pay for it he's got lots of money he's doing great and because I guess it would cost about $150 to change all the signs and yeah it was just it gave me a little shout out

01:45:42 - 01:46:14 | Speaker 2:

I like that well tell them that we're under the same budget constrictions that Odyssey is now we're all we're all under the same you know we got the same budgets But listen, if it only costs $150, $150, you know, Radio State, we can afford that. Let's all pay it. Let's everybody get together and do it. Although I got to tell you, I wondered with that whole Campbell, Dan Campbell thing, is the Campbell Road named after a Campbell that was like a guy that did something that's going to lose his Campbell?

01:46:14 - 01:46:15 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:46:15 - 01:46:28 | Speaker 1:

You know what I mean? They brought it up. They brought up his history. I guess in the 1890s, he bought 700 to 800 acres and around that area. That's how he got his name out. Yeah.

01:46:28 - 01:46:33 | Speaker 2:

Why don't we do this? Let's wait until Dan Campbell wins the Super Bowl for us before we start naming streets after him.

01:46:33 - 01:46:44 | Speaker 3:

Name a street after him now. Give him a statue now. Give him a billboard everywhere now. He needs a mural downtown. We got to win. He does need a mural. We got to win.

01:46:44 - 01:46:49 | Speaker 4:

Right here at Eastern Market would be perfect. He's done a lot. Would he tell you? Yes. He deserves something.

01:46:49 - 01:46:54 | Speaker 2:

He is. Okay, let's give him a contract. And let's win a Super Bowl before we do that.

01:46:54 - 01:46:57 | Speaker 4:

We just clinched, bro, for the first time in franchise history.

01:46:57 - 01:47:00 | Speaker 2:

We clinched the NFC, but we got to win a Super Bowl before we start naming things.

01:47:00 - 01:47:07 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so how about a mural now in Eastern Market? I feel like that's very fair. And then when he gets a Super Bowl, he gets a statue.

01:47:07 - 01:47:11 | Speaker 2:

How about Sam Bernstein? Give us him more money. Bernstein.

01:47:13 - 01:47:15 | Speaker 4:

The Bernstein Law Firm.

01:47:15 - 01:47:27 | Speaker 2:

He does great commercials for those guys. But listen, Mr. Positive, I love the idea of us recognizing Dan Campbell, but I think even Dan Campbell would say, let's wait until we see what we do. Of course he would say that. Yeah.

01:47:27 - 01:47:31 | Speaker 3:

He leads a mural. I want to look at his face. Say, hi, Dan.

01:47:31 - 01:47:38 | Speaker 2:

You know what? Back in the day, you remember you had Barry Sanders. You had Steve Eisenman. Those were fire. You know what I mean? What building is that?

01:47:38 - 01:47:41 | Speaker 4:

I want to say it's the Cadillac building. I want to say. I could be wrong, though.

01:47:41 - 01:47:45 | Speaker 2:

Dan Campbell on there would be great, but also Jared Goff. Yeah.

01:47:45 - 01:47:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but think about all of the photos we could get on Victory Mondays with coffees in front of the mural.

01:47:50 - 01:47:54 | Speaker 2:

Come on. Why don't we change Starbucks to him? Because he and Holly, Dan and his wife.

01:47:54 - 01:47:58 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, instead of the girl in the middle. What is that in the middle? A mermaid? What is it?

01:47:58 - 01:48:01 | Speaker 3:

What if Detroit got, like, do you keep holding it? Yeah, that's what I mean. Yeah.

01:48:02 - 01:48:14 | Speaker 2:

How is Starbucks not picked up on Dan Campbell going and getting his winning Starbucks every single Monday? They don't need to advertise. Well, but they should look at this as a great opportunity for them. All right.

01:48:15 - 01:48:20 | Speaker 1:

it's mojo in the morning it's the second date update on mojo in the morning all right we're

01:48:20 - 01:48:30 | Speaker 2:

gonna do second date update right now why are you getting uh ghosted here we're gonna find out kara's on the phone with us uh kara tell us about the date and how you guys met

01:48:30 - 01:48:51 | Speaker 5:

yeah so um we met on hinge actually okay and yeah and a couple days later um he invited me out to dinner so i went ahead and did that and you know we had a really great time um he was such a gentleman he paid for dinner we went out for drinks after and you know we just had like a

01:48:51 - 01:48:58 | Speaker 2:

really good conversation and did you guys talk after the date like did you guys keep communication

01:48:58 - 01:49:14 | Speaker 5:

going like the next day no he actually has not texted me or anything after that um but did you Wait, did you reach out to him? I did reach out to him. Yeah, I reached out three or four times, and I have not heard anything.

01:49:14 - 01:49:22 | Speaker 2:

And not even a heart or a thumbs up or a I'll call you sometime here soon?

01:49:24 - 01:49:26 | Speaker 5:

No, literally nothing.

01:49:26 - 01:49:29 | Speaker 2:

So, like, no acknowledgement at all, and you're wondering what's going on.

01:49:30 - 01:49:39 | Speaker 5:

Exactly. My text said delivered, so I know that he definitely got it, but I don't know if he doesn't have a read receipt. Okay, no. No, I don't think he has those on.

01:49:39 - 01:49:49 | Speaker 2:

All right, so we're going to find out what's going on. He did pick up our phone call, so we do have him on the phone, and we're going to find out what's going on. Why is Kara not getting a call back? Justin is on with us. Justin?

01:49:51 - 01:49:51 | Speaker 1:

Hey.

01:49:52 - 01:49:54 | Speaker 2:

Hey, say hello to Kara, Justin.

01:49:56 - 01:49:56 | Speaker 1:

Hello.

01:49:58 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 2:

Justin, are you having fun?

01:50:00 - 01:50:11 | Speaker 3:

phone problems i know that your phone there kind of got shaky for one second but are you having phone problems and you're not able to call her no um well i just

01:50:11 - 01:50:53 | Speaker 4:

okay so she like here is my beef with this she wanted me to like pay for everything and when i mean everything i mean like everything what are you talking about the dinner that you guys went on that's fine i'm i'm old school with paying for like the dinner that seems normal but she sent me i this is i it's going to be hard for you to believe she sent me a photo of her nails and then asked me to venmo come on you did that cara i did but we also talked about how he's like

01:50:53 - 01:50:58 | Speaker 6:

looking for a trad wife and everything so i mean if you like a traditional relationship then he's

01:50:58 - 01:51:29 | Speaker 1:

looking for what kind of a wife trad wife what's a trad wife i'm old like somebody who stays at home and you know makes a household and looks after kids what does trad mean traditional great gets their hair done nails done so you look amazing and everything is done at home but you don't really have a life outside of the home think a 1950s but that's like a big like kp are you in here you and i were just talking about this is this like a big thing right now

01:51:29 - 01:51:34 | Speaker 5:

that guys are looking for trad wives yeah it's a big tiktok trend where people are

01:51:34 - 01:51:37 | Speaker 2:

invested in that don't ask for a trad wife unless you got a sugar daddy budget

01:51:37 - 01:52:03 | Speaker 4:

right um i just have to add that like we're talking about a wife right like if she has my kids i'll pick up the nail tab i'm i mean that but like on on a date and getting yeah yeah there's nothing traditional about venmo and then getting uh yeah he couldn't cut were you

01:52:03 - 01:52:09 | Speaker 1:

were you joking or were you being serious in sending him the that you wanted your nails paid

01:52:09 - 01:52:18 | Speaker 6:

for i mean i was being serious because if he you know wants to be the provider and things like that I mean, might as well get practice now just because we're not married. Go dig her.

01:52:19 - 01:52:19 | Speaker 5:

You know?

01:52:19 - 01:52:20 | Speaker 1:

Go dig her.

01:52:20 - 01:52:23 | Speaker 5:

No, if they talked about it on the date. No. Then show her.

01:52:23 - 01:52:30 | Speaker 1:

If she was joking, it'd be cute and funny. But the fact that she's serious is mm-mm. First date, she already sent a bitch. She just said.

01:52:31 - 01:52:37 | Speaker 6:

She is. Yeah. Yeah, I'm being serious. I mean, he wants to pay for these things. I thought he'd be like, oh, I love the nails. I don't know.

01:52:38 - 01:52:53 | Speaker 3:

I got to be honest with you. I think that the idea that that would be something that you would send kind of comes across bold. I hope that you put, like, laughing emojis and stuff like that just in case. I know you say you're serious.

01:52:53 - 01:52:54 | Speaker 2:

Your security emojis.

01:52:54 - 01:53:01 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's like your – I know that this might come across as a little bit. But Chelsea, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning. What did you want to say?

01:53:02 - 01:54:06 | Speaker 5:

Hi, guys. Good morning. Good morning. I wanted to say, first of all, the whole term trad wife is almost triggering for me. It's like too hoity-toity. First of all, give me a break. Second of all, what kind of traditional relationship starts off with you paying for her stuff? That's more of a sugar daddy relationship. Exactly. If you want a traditional relationship, yes, you get courted, And then you show a man that you have the skills to be a, let's call it what it is. It's a Stafford wife. That's exactly what it is. If you want to show a man, woman, whoever, that you could be a Stafford wife, then maybe you can get some perks. Yeah. But you court first. You don't just, oh, pay for my thing for me. Because how does she know, how does he know that like a lot of other men, he's going to get got by some greedy girl who just wants stuff paid for for her. Great points, Jules. she was totally off but isn't that the risk though when you're seeking that sort of a

01:54:06 - 01:54:13 | Speaker 2:

relationship isn't that a risk you're taking when that's your end goal but he said he goes

01:54:13 - 01:54:20 | Speaker 1:

we had we had a discussion about wife not girlfriend or first date for sure for sure

01:54:20 - 01:54:29 | Speaker 2:

let me make it clear i think this girl is bat lincoln crazy all right not defending her but i'm just saying on the whole trad wife idea if that's what you're looking for isn't that the

01:54:29 - 01:54:36 | Speaker 5:

risk you're taking yeah later on in the relationship not on your first date agree totally agreed

01:54:36 - 01:54:43 | Speaker 3:

agree uh what's up ryan how you doing i'm pretty good man how you guys doing good morning good

01:54:43 - 01:55:05 | Speaker 4:

morning ryan what's going on buddy yeah so uh it's traditional life thing like she's talking about man uh just like the last caller said i mean you don't start off and say hey better me for my nails like first date like come on now like you know that just spells red flags right there and I mean, it's just all about the money too much for a lot of these women, so I just like to throw that tradition.

01:55:06 - 01:55:15 | Speaker 1:

By the way, I thought when I picked him up, I thought, I don't know if I'm going to get a good comment or bad comment, but I knew I was going to get something out of him. What's up, Michelle? Hi.

01:55:16 - 01:55:22 | Speaker 5:

Mojo! What's up? She's wild! Who does that?

01:55:23 - 01:55:25 | Speaker 1:

Kara does it. Trains.

01:55:26 - 01:55:29 | Speaker 5:

Gosh, Kara, girl, come on. Pay for yourself.

01:55:30 - 01:55:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:55:30 - 01:55:35 | Speaker 5:

Be independent. Like, I don't understand where these girls are coming from these days.

01:55:35 - 01:55:41 | Speaker 1:

And it's not even, she's not even gotten past a second date, or first date. You know, she hasn't even gotten a second date, and she's already doing that stuff.

01:55:42 - 01:55:51 | Speaker 5:

That's exactly why. That's exactly why she's not going to get a second date, and she's probably going to have a really hard time for the rest of her life if that's how she's going to be. Come on, Kara.

01:55:51 - 01:55:53 | Speaker 1:

Exactly. Bailey, what did you want to say?

01:55:55 - 01:56:38 | Speaker 6:

Hi, guys. It's my first time calling in. would you like me to buy your nails for you um yes if you're offering no okay um i just i just think this whole the whole trad wife thing is really really gross and it might have started out kind of like let's go back to some traditional you know views but it's just gross especially with these young men saying outright that they want that like you want a mom like calm down you know Women should have their own thing. And if a woman wants to be a stay-at-home mom, that's totally fine. But, like, this whole I'm going to take care of you. And it's just gross. It icks me out. I hate it.

01:56:38 - 01:56:44 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Mario, what's up? What up, Mojo?

01:56:44 - 01:56:45 | Speaker 7:

How you guys doing today?

01:56:45 - 01:56:49 | Speaker 1:

Good, Mario. Would you like Kara's phone number? She's going to be looking for somebody to go on a date with.

01:56:49 - 01:56:50 | Speaker 3:

She needs her nails done.

01:56:50 - 01:56:52 | Speaker 7:

No, I don't want any leeches.

01:56:53 - 01:57:04 | Speaker 1:

Right. What would you do, by the way, Mario? What would you do if, say, three dates in, she asked you for that? Like, at least you'd known each other for a month, two months, or something like that.

01:57:05 - 01:57:12 | Speaker 7:

Mojo, I'm in my late 30s. I would just kick it to the curb as soon as I can and run away, never see back.

01:57:12 - 01:57:26 | Speaker 1:

What if she asked you if you would buy her, like, something sexy to wear to bed one night? Would that be something that you would think about? No. Really? Now I'm thinking.

01:57:26 - 01:57:27 | Speaker 2:

I would, for sure.

01:57:27 - 01:57:32 | Speaker 1:

At that point, we didn't already smash two months in. Right, right? So what's your level, Kev?

01:57:32 - 01:57:57 | Speaker 2:

But that's so different. Nails ain't really like, well, it depends on what type of nails you're getting. Because nails can be expensive depending on what you're about to do and where you're about to go. So that's a factor that I would have to add into all of this. But if we done smashed and it's like a kind of thing, and I know I'm going to searing these nails. And like, you know, at that point, then I'm more willing to let some cheese fly. But if this is the first time and I don't really know you like that, like.

01:57:57 - 01:58:03 | Speaker 1:

What I would do, honestly, is I would say instead of Kara, I'd say, hey, let's go get nails done together. Right.

01:58:04 - 01:58:10 | Speaker 3:

But even like a couple of months in, Kev, you'd be okay with a girl being like, hey, I just got my nails done. Here's the receipt. Venmo me.

01:58:10 - 01:58:19 | Speaker 2:

No, I mean, our conversation probably wouldn't be like that, though. We probably would be in a conversation in the flow. Hey, what are you doing tonight? I might just send it. She probably wouldn't even have to ask or something like that.

01:58:19 - 01:58:20 | Speaker 3:

So then it's a gift.

01:58:20 - 01:58:35 | Speaker 1:

But if a guy sends it to you, I think the guy's got small d. Because I think they just send you the money. Hey, by the way, here's money for your nails. I would go. This guy is trying to own me. I would I would try to own her. Yeah. By if I was a girl, I would take it that way.

01:58:36 - 01:58:38 | Speaker 2:

So we've been going out for a few months, smashing.

01:58:40 - 01:58:48 | Speaker 1:

I think if you make it a date or make it like a hey, make it something kind of cute, you know. Hey, go out with your friends, whatever. I just I don't know. I think it's kind of weird.

01:58:48 - 01:58:59 | Speaker 3:

No, I actually really agree with you. Oh, see, I would if we if we've been dating for a couple of months and he knew that I got my nails done all the time and did that? Like, sent me a Venmo with a cute note? I wouldn't find that weird.

01:58:59 - 01:59:14 | Speaker 5:

If you did it before you did the appointment, that's cute, but not after. That's weird. Yeah, I agree with you there. And I also think a lot of it just has to do with the Treadwife mentality in general is what I agree with Mojo on, more so than paying for nails. I wasn't even talking about Treadwife. Right, right. No, no, no.

01:59:15 - 01:59:16 | Speaker 1:

Amanda, what did you want?

01:59:16 - 01:59:18 | Speaker 4:

That's so Midwestern. No, no, no. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:59:20 - 01:59:22 | Speaker 1:

Amanda, did you hang up? No?

01:59:22 - 01:59:28 | Speaker 4:

no i'm here what was your question so i had a couple questions first question i might have

01:59:28 - 01:59:34 | Speaker 1:

missed it but did he pay for the nails or no no no he stopped calling her no

01:59:34 - 01:59:47 | Speaker 4:

okay and then was this before or after their date it was after yeah it was after the day and this was after the whole conversation of trad life and whatnot yeah and regardless before or after

01:59:47 - 01:59:52 | Speaker 1:

still be out it's crazy listen to this chris what's up chris oh what's going on chris you're

01:59:52 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 7:

dating a woman who did just this to you yeah so this is a crazy story by the way long time listener huge fan

02:00:00 - 02:00:58 | Speaker 2:

are awesome thank you so uh so here's the deal i dated i started dating this girl in march and then uh things probably moved a little too fast we moved in together and she quit her job and i'm thinking okay you're looking for another job no big deal comes two months later she's still not looking for a job but we had previously had a conversation about how i don't mind the traditional setup of a man taking care of the woman the woman taking care of the household Yada, yada, yada. I said, I wouldn't even mind paying for nails and hair and whatnot. So two months into this, she's still not looking for a job thing. I get a text in the middle of the workday like, hey, I'm going to go get my nails done. Can you give me some money? Now, the problem I have with this situation is that she wasn't cooking. She wasn't cleaning. She had her own kid that was living with us. And she barely took care of her kid. And I'm like, well, that was a conversation based on you pulling your weight into doing your part around the house. and we had never even come to any sort of arrangement.

02:00:58 - 02:01:05 | Speaker 3:

Chris, what's your phone number? I'm calling you up. I need a friend. Oh, my God. She was taking advantage of you.

02:01:06 - 02:01:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so four months go by, and I finally am like, you have to go. This isn't working. Well, what do you mean I love you so much? Well, of course you do. I've been taking care of you. Right.

02:01:15 - 02:01:24 | Speaker 3:

Claim her all your taxes. Wait, hold on. Can you evict her? Can you evict her from your place, or now did she lay claim? Could she come after you and say, no, I'm not leaving?

02:01:26 - 02:01:36 | Speaker 2:

All right, so here's the best part, worst part. Just got her out last weekend, but I'm still packing her stuff. This woman had so much stuff. It was unbelievable. And that should have been a red flag when I moved around.

02:01:36 - 02:01:40 | Speaker 6:

Can I look through it first before you get it back? Just a little free shopping.

02:01:40 - 02:01:43 | Speaker 3:

Chris, thank you for the call, buddy. I apologize. Poor bastard.

02:01:44 - 02:01:52 | Speaker 5:

This is the home of the dirty on the 30. Throwback, throwdown. Second date update. And War of the Roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:01:53 - 02:02:20 | Speaker 3:

All right, we are running so late. I was looking up at the time. I'm like, Jesus. All right. This is Kevin Hart tickets. We're almost so late I was going to have to do the Tate McCray tickets. Could you imagine? Have we ever been an hour late on a dirty? I don't think so. Maybe when there's breaking news or something like that. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. 95th caller. A chance right now to win tickets to see Kevin Hart Sunday.

02:02:21 - 02:02:24 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the mornings, dirty on the 30.

02:02:24 - 02:02:40 | Speaker 3:

Shannon, you know who's on the phone with us right now? Sorry. The guy that wants to name Campbell Road in Royal Oak, Michigan, Dan Campbell Road. Yes. Chris Powell. Chris, are you there, buddy? KP. I am. I am. Chris. So, Chris, what is it? What's your company?

02:02:42 - 02:02:44 | Speaker 4:

HR Pro, Benapro. Primary company is HR Pro.

02:02:45 - 02:03:00 | Speaker 3:

Okay. And what is the process to renaming a street? Because I heard that the mayor, which, by the way, is probably smart on his part, seems like he's he's into it into this idea that that's the reply i've not had a chance to talk to

02:03:00 - 02:03:46 | Speaker 4:

him we put out the press release on this about a day earlier than we planned to but that's fine um but my understanding is he's very into it um there is a process for the city of royal oak to get this done obviously we want to expedite that as much as possible i hope by the time we get to the super bowl anyway we'll have the street signs out but uh and i'm i'm i'm being very optimistic but I don't think overly optimistic in saying by the time we get to the Super Bowl. So they have a process for getting this done. I just think Dan Campbell has done such a great job of building this team and real leadership and making a really great team happen. And you'll know how old I am when I say the last time the Lions won the NFL championship was the year I was born.

02:03:46 - 02:03:47 | Speaker 3:

Really? Okay, wow.

02:03:47 - 02:03:49 | Speaker 4:

If you know what year that was. Yeah.

02:03:49 - 02:04:03 | Speaker 3:

Dan Campbell Road on Campbell Road is what he wants to do. So there's already a road called Campbell Road, which goes, what, 14 mile to 696? Yeah, 696 to 14 mile.

02:04:04 - 02:04:17 | Speaker 6:

Hear me out, though. What's the punishment if I get, like, a white paint marker and I just go up to the sign and write Dan in front of it? Is that jail time? There's no room. There's no room, unfortunately. If it's just a fine, I'm in.

02:04:17 - 02:04:24 | Speaker 4:

I think one sign might be a misdemeanor, but I think once you get 60-some signs, you're probably in felony restraints.

02:04:24 - 02:04:29 | Speaker 1:

They didn't give you any timeline, right? Because I know you submitted the proposal yesterday. Did they tell you when it could get approved?

02:04:30 - 02:04:51 | Speaker 4:

No, but I did get a call back. I've gotten a couple calls back from the city getting the process done, letting me know how much the cost is, which is a little on the high side. How much? I think we can get, they're talking $150 per sign. I estimate there's about 60-some signs, so you're probably talking somewhere in the $10,000 range.

02:04:51 - 02:04:54 | Speaker 6:

Holy crap. Listen, my bail will be cheaper than that.

02:04:54 - 02:05:01 | Speaker 4:

Other businesses, certainly on Campbell Road and perhaps other businesses in Royal. It would be so great.

02:05:02 - 02:05:20 | Speaker 5:

This is the part where I get worried on. Because I said that we should wait until we win this thing. I worry we're putting the cart before the horse. And I worry that you're going to jinx this team now. And, you know, going, yeah, we're going to the Super Bowl. It's like, as Dan Campbell would say, we're worried about the next game. You know what I mean?

02:05:21 - 02:05:22 | Speaker 2:

He still deserves it.

02:05:22 - 02:05:49 | Speaker 4:

And I agree with it. But I would also tell you, I think what Dan Campbell, Dan Campbell has shown such great leadership. Yeah. He's built, when you listen to this team talk, they talk about trust. They talk about accountability. I think he's been a great leader, and he's built a great team because of it. I get it. And I think regardless, I mean, look at the seasons we've had. Believe me. Would anybody? Did Matt Patricia get an name?

02:05:49 - 02:06:25 | Speaker 5:

Let's give Matt Patricia. A dumpster. We'll give him a dumpster. We'll name a dumpster after. We actually threw a funeral, remember? Back in the day, we threw a funeral for, what was his name? The old general manager that's the broadcast. Matt Millen. Matt Millen. We threw a funeral for Matt Millen out in front and had a casket and all that stuff. And the Fords got so mad at us for doing it. Yeah, well. All right, Chris Powell, thank you so much for being on with us. We will see what becomes of this. It becomes a $10,000 thing. That's an easy thing to raise money for. Wait, what's in it? Go for me to be up by lunchtime.

02:06:25 - 02:06:31 | Speaker 2:

That's going to be cheaper than my bail. So like, or more expensive than my bail. So if it doesn't work out, we'll figure it out.

02:06:31 - 02:06:33 | Speaker 5:

You know what I mean? We'll go to Home Depot. Yeah.

02:06:34 - 02:06:48 | Speaker 2:

All right. Jelly Roll thinks that he can end Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly's longtime feud. He was chatting about how he's worked with both Marshall and MGK in the past. And he said he really hopes to someday bring them together again.

02:06:49 - 02:07:28 | Speaker 1:

My heart is always to bring them together one day. Because I see so much more of them in each other than they know. I hadn't really brought it up to Marshall yet because I'm just still just kind of glad that I'm still in that circumference to be able to have them conversations. But I do see, like, there's so much more in them than not. Like, I also gave Kel some perspective, too. It's like, we all grew up watching Eminem take over the game early. Like, if you got mentioned in an Eminem song, it was like getting mentioned in a comedy special. You were on fire. You couldn't be hotter. They're going to get together one day eventually. It's inevitable. The world's a circle. You know what I mean? and I think that they're going to find each other's heart more than that.

02:07:28 - 02:07:49 | Speaker 2:

Do you guys remember what even started this feud? Because I had to go back and think for a second. It was 2012, MGK, he was like 21 or 22 at the time, and he referred to Eminem's then 16-year-old daughter, Haley, as hot as F on Twitter, and that set off Marshall, and since then they've dissed each other in their music just back and forth, back and forth.

02:07:50 - 02:08:15 | Speaker 5:

Has anybody ever thought of doing this, if MTV has, or whoever I heard radio should, Has anybody ever thought of all the people that Eminem has named in songs, getting them all together and have them be at like a special Lifetime Achievement Award performance like Christina Aguilera and, you know, all the who else is boy bands are doing like a we are the world special song.

02:08:15 - 02:08:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

02:08:16 - 02:08:18 | Speaker 5:

And it's all the people that have been part of his things.

02:08:19 - 02:08:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. OK, Justin Baldoni's lawyer is now taking issue with the movie Deadpool and Wolverine. And Justin Baldoni is Blake Lively's co-star in It Ends With Us. I mean, so much drama over the past month and a half. But while discussing all of this legal trouble that is happening with Blake Lively, Baldoni's lawyer, his name is Brian Friedman, commented on what he believes was a total dig at his client made by Ryan Reynolds in the movie. Listen to this.

02:08:49 - 02:08:59 | Speaker 3:

But in here, everybody calls me nice pool. Oh, my goodness. Wait till you see Lady Pool. She is gorgeous. she just had a baby too and can't even tell i don't think you're supposed to say that that's

02:08:59 - 02:09:54 | Speaker 2:

okay i identify as a feminist comment on blake lively's looks yep definitely part of the lawsuit well fans on social media also pointed out that in addition to what was said there nice pool in that scene looked a whole lot like justin baldoni with his man bun a hairstyle that he had forever and ever and ever oh my god yeah oh it was totally blatant baldoni's attorney said of the clip What I make of it is that if your wife is sexually harassed, you don't make fun of Justin Baldoni. You don't make fun of the situation. You take it very seriously. You file HR complaints. You raise the issue and you file a legal process. What you don't do is mock the person and turn it into a joke. And lastly, Mark Zuckerberg announced some massive new changes over at Meta saying that they are dumping their fact checkers and replacing them with a community notes division.

02:09:54 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 3:

First, we're going to get rid of fact checkers and replace them with community notes similar...

02:10:00 - 02:10:22 | Speaker 1:

X, starting in the U.S. After Trump first got elected in 2016, the legacy media wrote nonstop about how misinformation was a threat to democracy. We tried in good faith to address those concerns without becoming the arbiters of truth. But the fact checkers have just been too politically biased and have destroyed more trust than they've created, especially in the U.S.

02:10:22 - 02:10:27 | Speaker 5:

This, as you can imagine, has created a great debate online.

02:10:27 - 02:10:42 | Speaker 4:

did you uh there's a couple things what here's trump responding to this asking because you know trump asked zuckerberg i guess zuckerberg went down to mar-a-lago to talk to trump and he asked if dana white can be on it on the board they put him on the board i guess of meta

02:10:42 - 02:10:52 | Speaker 3:

but uh here is the press they've come a long way meta facebook i think they've come a long way i watched it the man was very impressive i watched it actually i watched it on fox i'm not allowed

02:10:52 - 02:11:03 | Speaker 2:

to say that say it do you think he's directly responding to the threats that you have made to him in the past probably yeah probably um so he responded to that but then did you see that

02:11:03 - 02:11:24 | Speaker 4:

the watch that mark zuckerberg was wearing in that no there's only two in the world it's some swiss watch and it's a nine hundred thousand dollar watch relatable that's light look at the watch that he's wearing and tell me if you would pay a dollar for the thing it looks a shinola looks better than a $900,000 Swiss timepiece that he's wearing.

02:11:24 - 02:11:31 | Speaker 5:

Every time something's super expensive, the first thing I think of is how ugly that item always is. It always is. Always, yeah.

02:11:31 - 02:11:44 | Speaker 4:

By the way, if you got the money, buy whatever the hell you want. That's true. You do whatever you want. But you also sit there and go $900,000. I mean, how much is he worth? Right, I get it. It's probably like nine cents to him.

02:11:44 - 02:11:52 | Speaker 1:

We're still allowed to say it's ugly, though. Does it ever cost that much? A watch should never cost that much. There's nothing of value that justifies that price.

02:11:52 - 02:12:04 | Speaker 4:

The amazing thing is you have to wind that watch, I believe. And if you don't wind it, guess what happens? Doesn't work? It doesn't work. A 900. That thing better wind itself. That thing better wind itself and it better wipe my ass. And massage me.

02:12:06 - 02:12:11 | Speaker 5:

it's mojo in the morning's dirty on the 30 wkqi detroit wsnx muskegon grand rapids wvks toledo this is mojo in the morning oh mojo he's he's amazing live mojo in the morning show i'm watching uh the tv right now i'm watching uh la television and uh seeing these fires that are going on which by the way can we get we got a thousand tv screens in there can we get tv back

02:13:01 - 02:13:07 | Speaker 5:

i know i do miss that i do miss seeing the news and being able to see news and stuff hoda we i

02:13:07 - 02:13:32 | Speaker 4:

think they got rid of them because i think they got rid of the tvs in the studio so that we had like all the outside world out there so that we didn't know what time of day it was like a casino it's you're right they want us to just kind of sit in here all morning work and then go oh my god i should have been home like five hours ago this is like dan campbell or dan uh gilbert uh somebody told me somebody told me that's what it's like working for uh for quicken but for the first time

02:13:32 - 02:13:40 | Speaker 5:

ever since my time in this job i have a window that i can look out and actually see the weather that i'm talking about because half the time people would be like shannon it's snowing it's

02:13:40 - 02:14:17 | Speaker 4:

not sunny i had no idea well if you looked out your window in california you would not be seeing some great stuff because you'd be seeing either smoke uh ash or fire worst case scenario um and i'm watching these people and by the way everybody thinks all these are just a bunch of celebrities homes that are burning down you know i heard somebody on social media wrote uh who cares these are rich people they'll rebuild their things these aren't just rich people these are people these are people like you and me that live in a neighborhood and then the rich people live at the top of the neighborhood you live at the bottom of the neighborhood but guess what the bottom and the

02:14:17 - 02:14:31 | Speaker 5:

top is burning right now for sure and and also rich people still have things that they are that are sentimental and they're still people yeah absolutely so these so these fires for those

02:14:31 - 02:14:55 | Speaker 4:

that don't know are it's a tinderbox there because they haven't gotten rain in a while But then these fires start, and then the reason why this one is so bad, worse than probably anything that they've had ever, at least in the last decade or so, is because there's hurricane-force winds that are coming off of the water that are causing these fires to be unmanageable for fire people to put them out.

02:14:55 - 02:14:55 | Speaker 5:

Insane.

02:14:56 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 4:

And I want to have you listen to some of this audio, okay?

02:15:00 - 02:15:14 | Speaker 6:

start hearing this you'll go god can you imagine this was my neighborhood and then i want you to think about this if this was yours this was your home or this is in your area like what would you go grab like what would be the things that you go in your house and just go take but we have just

02:15:14 - 02:15:53 | Speaker 4:

found out that this building right here back uh right there where all the flames are that building has also caught on fire and police firefighters they're here trying to evacuate the people that live in that building. We've seen people come out just on their bikes, on their motorcycles, just trying to get out of here as soon as they can. They have nothing in their hands. They are just trying to escape. I really wanted to show you what it looks like behind me. We're at Palisades Charter High School, and we showed you this shot earlier. The school has, the iconic school, has burned to the ground. And just being here, this is off to Mescal Canyon. This is horrible,

02:15:53 - 02:16:17 | Speaker 3:

you guys. We were just on the, uh, on Dove Creek Lane down below. This is Creek side, and unfortunately, it's, everything is almost gone. I only see, uh, two, three structures, two at this point. Two structures left on this entire street. Everything is on fire down here. There's no words to even describe how heartbreaking, how heartbreaking.

02:16:17 - 02:16:32 | Speaker 1:

that's a life that's your entire life you you don't get that back the memories are gone i hope they're alive

02:16:32 - 02:16:56 | Speaker 5:

wow that is that's unbelievable i just want to tell you like i i know you were we were kind of like poo-pooing on celebrities and rich people but that that neighborhood right there is like ben affleck tom hank steven spielberg reese witherspoon now it's headed towards calabasas which of course is like you know bieber the kardashians um but it's it's that whole west

02:16:56 - 02:17:57 | Speaker 6:

side of la but the other the other thing that you have to know about the iconic stuff that's in that area too they're saying it's getting close it's going towards pasadena pasadena is where the rose bowl was well there's so many historical areas the historic stadium that uh I think it was Kirk Herbstreit and Pat McAfee that said they believe that the national championship every year should be in the Rose Bowl. They just had the Oregon and Ohio State game there. But these are all in the area there. I mean, these are all very expensive homes. But in California, a $200,000 home is a million dollars because that's just how outrageously expensive that whole state has become. But it is so sad to see this. It's sad to see. And by the way, think about this. FEMA had the hurricanes to deal with. Now they've got this to deal with. I mean, it is just nuts to see what's going on natural disaster wise.

02:17:57 - 02:17:57 | Speaker 5:

Scares me.

02:17:57 - 02:18:09 | Speaker 6:

And to be quite honest with you, having just gone to Florida, like they didn't do much at all down there. Like there's not there's not much that has been done to clean up the last two hurricanes.

02:18:09 - 02:18:37 | Speaker 2:

to repair and i don't i wouldn't even say it has been katrina and new orleans i don't think that they fixed what happened there they fixed certain areas but if you go to new orleans right now there are still devastating areas that have just been left behind flames still had clean water exactly and i'm wondering like why aren't we putting anything into place not to prevent obviously that's not going to happen but to help in these situations like why is there not more

02:18:38 - 02:18:40 | Speaker 6:

Mother nature is going to be the thing that's going to win every time.

02:18:40 - 02:18:47 | Speaker 2:

But why is there not a water system in place in the hills that they have easy access to, like a suppression system?

02:18:48 - 02:19:01 | Speaker 6:

Why are we seeing prepared for anything? Correct. But you guys have to understand something. This fire, the only thing that prevents this fire is if the hurricane force winds don't come the way that they came.

02:19:02 - 02:19:34 | Speaker 2:

No, I get that. But we have major wildfires there every year. And it seems like we haven't come up with a better system. If you look at Florida and the hurricanes, we didn't have hurricane building standards. And now we do. And that's helped prevent a lot of damage. Like, what is in place in California? Because they have the earthquake standards. Like, why is there nothing, from my perspective, and I don't have full knowledge of the situation, there could be something in place. Please let me know. But, like, for the fires. They still don't even know how this one started. Which is insane. It's just, it's sad. It's scary. And I hate that it keeps happening.

02:19:34 - 02:19:41 | Speaker 6:

Remember the last big one that they had? The last big one that they had, they thought it was some guy that was lighting a fire that was camping out.

02:19:41 - 02:19:47 | Speaker 5:

There was another one that was a gender reveal. The plain one? Like, truly, that's what it was that started that whole thing?

02:19:49 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 6:

So if your neighborhood's up in smoke and your neighborhood's lighting like this, and you see that the fire is starting to come your way, and there was a fire, what, a couple of weeks ago?

02:20:00 - 02:20:44 | Speaker 5:

ago i remember everybody was talking about dick van dyke the iconic actor they were like dick you gotta you know he was had a garden hose and he was trying to put the you know a garden hose to to keep his property there they're like go get your belongings and get the hell out of here what would you go grab because i was thinking about this at my house and mine in an all seriousness seriousness would be i think the first two kids that we have joe and jacob there are so many photos we don't even have because they weren't taken and put on digital digital and then there are some digital stuff that Chelsea probably hasn't put to the cloud like I there's so many pictures and then you're thinking about your social security I don't even know where the hell my social security card or

02:20:44 - 02:20:48 | Speaker 3:

passport is right that's replaceable but you know how hard it is to not if you

02:20:48 - 02:20:55 | Speaker 5:

don't but I know that it's a replacement but if you don't have it yeah it's now you having to figure out how to go replace and nobody I feel like nobody at

02:20:55 - 02:21:26 | Speaker 6:

least i'm not nobody's prepared for that like my passport should be in my little like safe it's not right now because i just used it my say with my social security card same thing with the one thing that i would grab which is like the kids baby books that have all of the mementos that cannot be replaced or something that shannie's granny gave you know the little hats that they came home from the hospital and like that's the stuff that i care about everything else maybe the one purse that I actually saved up for. Everything else I seriously do not care about. Same. I don't.

02:21:26 - 02:21:43 | Speaker 3:

I have one item. One item. A teddy bear with my baby blanket inside of it. So my baby blanket was falling apart and I wanted to, if I wanted children one day, be able to gift it on and still have my childhood thing be their childhood thing so I have a brand new teddy bear in my closet. That's it. I don't care about anything else.

02:21:43 - 02:22:32 | Speaker 4:

See, I mean, I had Josiah when he was, 2013 was the year he was born. So all of the pictures that I've taken to him primarily are on my phone yeah and if you got google photos it'll just upload it there and they have a feature where you can print an actual photo book but i got this dog ass like 10 by 10 shelf with everything i like in the world probably can't carry it out but i could do one of those arm sweeps and like knock everything in there what's on there what is everything on there um some uh kanye graduation album the original one with the stronger glasses that were like a marketing thing i got an old uh rubik's cube from lupe fiasco to cool album a lebron cereal box like stuff when i look over at it i'll be like this speaks to who makes me happy yeah you imagine josiah stuff is on there some cool stuff he done drew you risk your life over that do you have the

02:22:32 - 02:22:37 | Speaker 5:

first condom that you ever uh used when you lost you are thinking about this i didn't even use a

02:22:37 - 02:22:42 | Speaker 3:

condom the first time oh geez hold on be honest we don't recommend that yeah don't be like kev

02:22:42 - 02:22:45 | Speaker 5:

Kevin does not know. Jody, what's going on, Joe?

02:22:45 - 02:22:48 | Speaker 2:

I know you shouldn't be there. How are you guys?

02:22:48 - 02:23:04 | Speaker 5:

We're devastated and praying that this fire, or that the winds die down and that the fire departments that are all fighting this fire from literally the whole west side of the country, states are sending their fire teams out there. And also praying for your boyfriend lives out there, huh?

02:23:05 - 02:23:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, my boyfriend lives in Newport Beach. It's about, I think, 45 minutes away from the Palisades. and they've been without power for, like, 15 hours.

02:23:15 - 02:23:21 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, they're shutting power off on purpose because they don't want downed power lines causing more fires.

02:23:22 - 02:23:41 | Speaker 2:

Exactly, and the fires have actually jumped the PCH, so they're actually burning the lifeguard stations and the buildings on the beach, which you're supposed to be safe on the beach, and the winds are going between 80 to 100 miles per hour, so they can't even get anything up in the air to fight the fires. That's why there's absolutely no containment in them.

02:23:42 - 02:23:43 | Speaker 5:

Well, our prayers.

02:23:43 - 02:23:52 | Speaker 2:

Even the rich people are people and they have memories and they don't deserve to lose everything just because they have the money to rebuild it. Correct.

02:23:53 - 02:24:06 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. A lot of people don't think about that. A lot of people also don't think about what it's going to this is all in the hurricanes are going to do to your insurance because your insurance is changing no matter what because insurance companies have can't pay out all this money. But what's up, Gail?

02:24:06 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Yeah, I was just calling in. My sister and her family live in Pasadena. And at last night, she said at 2 a.m. their time, they had authorities come through with a bullhorn announcing to everyone that it is mandatory evacuation. They had prepared and got some backpacks packed with essential items earlier in the evening, and they have a handicapped son, so he's tube-fed, and so they had to pack everything they could for him. Two dogs and their dog leashes, and they had to emergency leave in the middle of the night, so they don't know yet if their home is still there or not. Last we heard from her was 6.30 our time, so 3.30 their time.

02:25:00 - 02:25:01 | Speaker 2:

You know, it's just very scary.

02:25:02 - 02:25:20 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's nuts. Well, please know that we're thinking of your sister, and we hope everything is okay. And hopefully, you know, even if they just have the leashes and that's it, and with their dogs and their cells, at least they're safe. That's the thing. Zach, what's up, Zach? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:25:22 - 02:25:23 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good morning, y'all.

02:25:23 - 02:25:24 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Zach.

02:25:24 - 02:25:58 | Speaker 3:

We got a – yeah, I was going to say, when our babies were born, we have like a little bag of all the stuff that you know like the umbilical cord the uh clip um certificate you know like the it's a boy you know stuff like that each child has a little bag with all that stuff together in it right and so my wife keeps that very close to her so that would be one of the first things that we go into yeah just to you know have those like um you know proof that they were born and stuff like that you know all those mementos here's here's something

02:25:58 - 02:26:54 | Speaker 1:

interesting a lot a lot of people would think of this fire and think and don't realize that a fire could happen to your home or apartment or whatever it is that you got to think of this but also floods we get a lot of times where there's flooding and look what happened in dearborn where i mean it was like countless uh you know years we were getting these massive floods john davis our great john davis here at the radio station guy lost everything in his basement i mean i i think that this is one of those things where it's like you look at this and you go god thank god i live in michigan or ohio and i'm freezing my ass off and i'm not living out there but stuff can happen here tornadoes whatever uh you got to think of this like where those things are you know the lebron uh wheaties box and i had a very good rubik's the lupe fiasco rubik's cube i mean come on seriously And I got a glow in the dark. There's nothing, Josiah. Listen, an art piece that he drew. He said that. He said that.

02:26:54 - 02:27:12 | Speaker 2:

Don't spit on my life. Lupe Fiasco. Listen, the greatest tour that I've ever been to in my life was the Glow in the Dark tour. Okay. That was Kanye's graduation album. You know who opened up? Lupe Fiasco. N-E-R-D, Lupe Fiasco, and Rihanna. So when I see that Rubik's Cube, it brings me to that time in my life.

02:27:12 - 02:27:23 | Speaker 1:

I've got my Taylor Swift hand-beaded bracelet that I made for my concert. Me too, Mojo. You got that? I can have that in my firebox, Lydia. You should make sure it's in your firebox, too.

02:27:23 - 02:27:25 | Speaker 2:

Well, her signed CDs are.

02:27:25 - 02:27:27 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You got to make sure you got all that stuff.

02:27:29 - 02:27:31 | Speaker 2:

I'm sure you got a nice Stevie B wig or something.

02:27:32 - 02:27:36 | Speaker 1:

Do you think these actors and actresses have, like, their Academy Awards with them and take them with them?

02:27:36 - 02:27:42 | Speaker 2:

I bet I would. That is a rare thing to win. I bet they don't care. They could get those remade.

02:27:42 - 02:27:42 | Speaker 1:

Wait.

02:27:43 - 02:27:43 | Speaker 2:

Oh, good point.

02:27:44 - 02:27:48 | Speaker 1:

Do we know how the Staffords are doing? Where do the Staffords live comparable to this?

02:27:48 - 02:27:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think Calabasco.

02:27:49 - 02:27:49 | Speaker 1:

They do?

02:27:50 - 02:27:50 | Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm.

02:27:50 - 02:27:58 | Speaker 1:

And so, because I was going to say, like, you think about that. Like, we know her life. Ben Affleck in J-Lo's house is right there.

02:28:00 - 02:28:01 | Speaker 2:

I hate her. I've got to text her.

02:28:01 - 02:28:11 | Speaker 1:

That engagement ring that she's holding on to from Ben. What does she do with all her engagement rings? Does she have enough pockets to put all her wedding rings in? It's like the infinity. She likes Thanos.

02:28:12 - 02:28:14 | Speaker 2:

All of her infinity rings?

02:28:15 - 02:28:19 | Speaker 1:

No, no, no. I can't bring those out. but I'm taking my Lupe Fiasco Rubik's Cube with you.

02:28:19 - 02:28:22 | Speaker 2:

I'm bringing it in tomorrow. Who has more, her or Tom Brady?

02:28:24 - 02:28:25 | Speaker 1:

Who's got more rings?

02:28:25 - 02:28:26 | Speaker 2:

Who's got more rings?

02:28:26 - 02:28:28 | Speaker 1:

I think Tom Brady still has her beat on that.

02:28:29 - 02:28:31 | Speaker 3:

She's been engaged more than she's been married.

02:28:31 - 02:29:17 | Speaker 1:

That is true. All right, we'll keep our eye on what's going on for you with the fires that are happening in L.A. and, of course, keep you informed on what's going on. We're going to get to five lies to tell your mom. KP says that the last go-around of me soliciting did not draw a lot of really good people for Five Lies. We need a Five Lies for next week. So would you want to do this to your mom? Would you let us find out what's going on in your life, come up with five lies that you have to call and tell your mom and try to convince her. Keep her on the phone if she gets through all five lies. We set her up with a prize. We give mom a prize. Obviously, you got audio forever that you can play, a scam that's right here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. So text MOM to 95500 right now if you would like to be on 5 Lies next week.

02:29:18 - 02:29:23 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the morning. Sweet. 5 Lies to tell your mom.

02:29:24 - 02:29:28 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Chris. Yes, sir. Are you ready? Yeah.

02:29:29 - 02:29:31 | Speaker 3:

I understand you work as a mailman.

02:29:32 - 02:29:35 | Speaker 1:

Yes, ma'am. You sound like you're a sleeping mailman.

02:29:36 - 02:29:39 | Speaker 3:

I'm taking a break for a second. All right.

02:29:40 - 02:29:52 | Speaker 1:

Well, here we go, Chris. We're going to do five lies to tell your mom. We're going to call your mother up, and you're going to say, Mom, lie number one, I met a woman on my mail route. Lie number two.

02:29:52 - 02:29:54 | Speaker 3:

Say she would grab her mail, and we would hang out and talk.

02:29:55 - 02:30:02 | Speaker 1:

Lie number three, one day she wasn't there, so I went to her door. Lie number four. We ended up having sex.

02:30:04 - 02:30:07 | Speaker 2:

Uh-oh. Devious laugh. Yeah, I'm trying to make her lose her religion.

02:30:08 - 02:30:17 | Speaker 1:

Lie number five. No. She told me she's now pregnant. Uh-oh. Oh, my God. What do you think mom's going to do?

02:30:19 - 02:30:24 | Speaker 2:

Probably really not too good. If she swears, then she's definitely over the top because she doesn't cuss at all.

02:30:24 - 02:30:35 | Speaker 1:

All right. Let's see if we can get your mom to cuss. All right. Five lies, tell your mom. By the way, Chris is a married man, too, so getting this woman pregnant would not be good.

02:30:43 - 02:30:45 | Speaker 2:

Hello? Are you busy right now?

02:30:46 - 02:30:50 | Speaker 3:

Um, I just went to the store real quick. What's up? All right, we're listening.

02:30:51 - 02:31:02 | Speaker 2:

I met this girl on my route, right? Christopher. Mom, can you just listen?

02:31:03 - 02:31:03 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:31:05 - 02:31:51 | Speaker 2:

So every day she usually, you know, as soon as she sees me coming around the corner with the mail, she usually, you know, comes to the door and get her mail and, you know, usually talk for a second. And one time she didn't come to the door, so I went up to the door and I knocked on it to get rid of the mail. Uh, she asked me if I wanted some water. I said, yeah. You know, she invited me here for a second. The next thing you know it, uh, we did it. Oh, my God. Uh, the thing about it is that's not the worst part.

02:31:53 - 02:31:56 | Speaker 3:

What is the worst part?

02:31:56 - 02:31:58 | Speaker 2:

She called me yesterday.

02:31:58 - 02:31:59 | Speaker 3:

You need it with no protection?

02:32:02 - 02:32:07 | Speaker 2:

No. And she called me yesterday and said that she's pregnant.

02:32:08 - 02:32:09 | Speaker 3:

Craig?

02:32:10 - 02:32:10 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

02:32:10 - 02:32:12 | Speaker 3:

How long ago did this happen?

02:32:13 - 02:32:17 | Speaker 2:

It was like over the summertime. Oh, my God.

02:32:20 - 02:32:23 | Speaker 3:

I don't know what to do. Oh, my God.

02:32:26 - 02:32:40 | Speaker 2:

do you think you could tell josh huh do you think you could tell her you think i could tell i mean obviously i want to wait until i want to try to get a paternity test first

02:32:40 - 02:32:50 | Speaker 3:

i mean yeah do you think you could tell josh who me yeah me personally you saying yeah

02:32:50 - 02:33:21 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. I did it.

02:33:22 - 02:33:23 | Speaker 3:

It only happened one time?

02:33:25 - 02:33:27 | Speaker 2:

Uh, huh?

02:33:29 - 02:33:31 | Speaker 3:

Never mind. You answered that question by going that slow.

02:33:36 - 02:33:38 | Speaker 1:

That son of yours is a dumb s***, isn't he?

02:33:39 - 02:33:42 | Speaker 3:

What? You better tell him to keep it in his pants from now on.

02:33:42 - 02:33:42 | Speaker 1:

Mom?

02:33:43 - 02:33:43 | Speaker 3:

Chris?

02:33:44 - 02:33:45 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the morning.

02:33:45 - 02:33:58 | Speaker 3:

Chris, I am going to fight you. Mom, you're on five lies to tell your mom.

02:34:07 - 02:34:11 | Speaker 1:

Mom, if you listen to us all the time, how could you fall for something like that?

02:34:11 - 02:34:12 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh.

02:34:13 - 02:34:18 | Speaker 1:

Well, Mom, the good news is that he did not get the woman on his mail route pregnant.

02:34:20 - 02:34:28 | Speaker 3:

Man, Chris, you wait till I see you, me and my bad arm, and you are going to fight.

02:34:29 - 02:34:38 | Speaker 1:

Now, Chris told us beforehand that there was no way that we could ever get you to swear, and I thought that maybe we might with this one.

02:34:38 - 02:34:44 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I'm about to kick his ass, like, for real. It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:34:46 - 02:34:47 | Unknown:

Sweet.

02:34:47 - 02:35:39 | Speaker 1:

02:35:39 - 02:36:10 | Speaker 4:

I want to do this story about Twitch again because I am seeing it everywhere and the backlash is growing fierce so if you don't remember who Twitch is or was I should say he was on the Ellen DeGeneres show he's on So You Think You Can Dance he was like a dancer choreographer and he passed away in 2022 by suicide Well, now his wife, Allison Holker, is her name. She's pretty famous, too. But she's opening up about the hidden struggles that her late husband was wrestling with at the time of his death.

02:36:10 - 02:36:53 | Speaker 3:

There was a moment I was with one of my really dear friends, and we were cleaning out the closet and picking out an outfit for him for the funeral. And it was a really triggering moment for me because there was a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed. And it was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue. So that was, it was a really scary moment in my life to figure that out. But it also helped me process that he was going through so much. And he was hiding so much and there must have been a lot of shame in that. And he was wrestling with a lot inside himself. And he was trying to self-medicate and cope with all those feelings because he didn't want to put it on anyone.

02:36:54 - 02:38:22 | Speaker 4:

So she also has a tell-all memoir coming out in a couple of weeks, the first week of February. And she says she is being open and transparent about what happened with her husband to help others who are in the same situation with a family member or who have, you know, dealt with something like this. However, Twitch's family, not super happy. They are blasting her for airing out his alleged drug use, mental health issues, for allegedly making them sign NDAs in order to attend his funeral. That's something that just came out in the midst of all of this. One of Twitch's cousins, her name is Elle, tweeted he was not an addict. He smoked weed and he was trying to quit. He wasn't some junkie. She also is saying that Allison has kept Twitch's three kids from seeing his relatives. A close friend of his also echoed her comments in a lengthy Instagram post, writing, This is by far the most tacky, classless, opportunistic act I have ever seen in my entire life. She's not giving it back. J-Lo said she is keeping the 8.5 carat natural green diamond engagement ring that she got from Ben Affleck now that their divorce is over. The one that he engraved to say not going anywhere, not period, going period, anywhere, which that didn't age very well. But the former couple settled their divorce on Monday, nearly five months after she filed to end their two year marriage. The ring is worth five million bucks. It's green because that was her favorite color and she's keeping it.

02:38:22 - 02:38:38 | Speaker 1:

Interesting that I think the law states that once you get married, that it is yours. Contract has been fulfilled. Yep. But she's got enough of those. Boy, I tell you what, she's got a whole investment of those things. I love her. Amazing.

02:38:38 - 02:38:42 | Speaker 4:

Always. You cannot say a bad thing about J-Lo when Kev's in the studio.

02:38:42 - 02:38:52 | Speaker 2:

To be fair, don't you think at a certain point, this probably isn't valuable to either party, right? They're both insanely rich and this probably isn't a big part of it. She probably just doesn't want it resold as J-Lo's ring.

02:38:53 - 02:39:04 | Speaker 1:

That's a good point. They should put it in one of those museums. Like the Smithsonian. No, not Smithsonian. Put it in like the one like where Dr. Kevorkian's vehicle is.

02:39:04 - 02:39:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, like one of the Vegas museums.

02:39:06 - 02:39:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, exactly.

02:39:07 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 4:

Lastly, this is a pretty crazy story and something to be mindful of if you weren't aware because I sure wasn't. There's a TikTok influencer named Tabitha Swadish. And she was forced to change the locks on her new home because of something that she did on TikTok. She made the mistake of flashing her brand new front door keys to her millions of followers in a video to document the first day in her new house. She's got about 15 million followers and there she is in this TikTok flashing her keys excitedly as she's talking about how she already set up like the electricity and the gas and all of that fun stuff before she goes to open the front doors for the first time. Totally innocent, right? However, several of her followers were quick to point out how easily she had compromised her safety. Yeah, because sharing an image or a video of just your keys can enable would be thieves and criminals to make a copy, leaving your home at a.

02:40:00 - 02:40:10 | Speaker 5:

serious risk of somebody breaking in so thankfully her boyfriend saw this hightailed his butt to the local home depot to get a new lock and key set for the front door and all is well but just so

02:40:10 - 02:41:05 | Speaker 2:

you're just so you're aware don't do that can i do some breaking news right now absolutely uh with the fires in la and calabasas and now moving they say uh fastly across los angeles uh the nfl says that they have not made a determination on whether or not they will move or do anything different with the Minnesota Vikings and the Rams game. It's set to be on Monday night right now, so they're not making a decision on that yet, but they obviously know that a number of people in L.A. and L.A.'s resources are being probably used for this fire. The other thing that did happen was the SAG Award nominations were supposed to be announced today they have postponed those nominations because they thought it was uh would be in poor taste for them to do it and also obviously everybody's talking you know

02:41:05 - 02:41:16 | Speaker 3:

what's going on yeah off the top of your mind or shannon and megan from what you all have heard like how does this compare into like the biggest fire in la history is this up there is it trending

02:41:16 - 02:41:25 | Speaker 5:

in that direction i think so they said 29 000 acres already burned it is zero percent contained At least that's what it was when I came in this morning. It's pretty big.

02:41:25 - 02:41:37 | Speaker 2:

I think the devastation from this thing and the worry is obviously loss of life. I mean, more so than loss of things. A lot of people worry this could be worse than any of the biggest earthquakes that California has ever seen.

02:41:38 - 02:41:44 | Speaker 5:

Hey, for all of today's dirty, get caught up by checking out the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

02:41:44 - 02:41:51 | Speaker 1:

Get more dirt at Mojo in the Morning on social media. The latest craze. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:41:56 - 02:42:14 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning. Whenever we have a topic, I look at our topic board of what's coming up. And I see it, and I know we talk about it before the show, but then I always forget what the topic is about. And for some reason, I got scared when I saw the topic about a grown-ass man wearing that. And I thought, oh, God.

02:42:15 - 02:42:17 | Speaker 5:

I mean, there's numerous things that would apply to you.

02:42:17 - 02:42:19 | Speaker 2:

Is this going to be right?

02:42:19 - 02:42:22 | Speaker 5:

We can put you on this list, okay? Give him one, Shadda, get him.

02:42:22 - 02:42:38 | Speaker 2:

You know what it's like? This is like when I'm with me running the control board and stuff. It's like being the driver of the car and your family says, can we go through the drive-through of, and they want to go somewhere you don't want to go, and guess what? My car suddenly does not go that way. Yes.

02:42:38 - 02:42:39 | Speaker 4:

So weird.

02:42:39 - 02:42:45 | Speaker 2:

So suddenly I go, oh, I think we'll run late on this topic here. Okay, so who is this about then if it's not?

02:42:45 - 02:43:58 | Speaker 5:

So it's, don't worry, it's not you. It's actually not about anybody that you guys know, but I thought it was so funny because I saw it with my own two eyes. So Wes started a brand new job this week and I'm so excited for him. Go Wes! Yeah, he's very, very excited about it. And so last week he had to do some exit interviews for his old job with his now former team members and his now former bosses. And so some of them he did in person, but then there was one I know that he did on Zoom from our kitchen because I was home at the time and I just so happened to walk like behind him so I could see who he was talking to it was one of his old bosses on his computer I just so happened to walk behind him when he was doing one of the interviews and I noticed that this particular person who was one of Wes's superiors I would say guy no kids in like I know he has no kids, but he's maybe mid-fifties, almost 60, wearing a bluey t-shirt. Oh, red flag. Now, if he had kids, I'd maybe think like, okay, he's trying to do that to be cute for his kids or grandkids, whatever, but no kid, grown-ass man with a bluey t-shirt.

02:43:58 - 02:44:12 | Speaker 4:

Well, wait, I said red flag, and now that I'm thinking about it, maybe it's not, okay. No, Megan. No, no, no, no. I only say that because I have no kids, I would wear a Sesame Street shirt. But that was my childhood. This, clearly, if he's in his 50s, was not his childhood. Bluey was not around.

02:44:12 - 02:44:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And it's not iconic. Sesame Street is iconic. True. It's still going.

02:44:16 - 02:44:18 | Speaker 4:

Bluey's iconic. Bluey's getting to be iconic, too.

02:44:18 - 02:44:19 | Speaker 3:

Blue, then I'll find you. No, no, no.

02:44:20 - 02:44:25 | Speaker 5:

So, Wes gets off the call. I go, was he, I won't say his name. I go, was he seriously wearing a Bluey t-shirt? And he's like, oh, is that what that is?

02:44:25 - 02:44:34 | Speaker 2:

But mind you, what he's doing, where he's at. He can wear the Bluey t-shirt if he's hanging out. No. But not on a Zoom. Okay. On a Zoom, bro.

02:44:34 - 02:44:36 | Speaker 3:

There's no reason he should have purchased it.

02:44:37 - 02:44:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:44:38 - 02:44:40 | Speaker 3:

Listen, this guy is walking through Target.

02:44:40 - 02:44:45 | Speaker 5:

Look, and respect for Bluey. I love Bluey. Shout out to Bluey. I love the best children's show. It was just a little strange.

02:44:45 - 02:44:53 | Speaker 3:

Bro, he's 50 years old. First off, if he's walking through Target, why does he even know what Bluey is? And how does he find interest in it to wear the t-shirt?

02:44:53 - 02:44:58 | Speaker 4:

But I know what Bluey is, and I don't have children, because it's the best show to watch when you're high.

02:44:59 - 02:45:07 | Speaker 3:

Okay. I would not think this guy part took, based on his personality, he probably should.

02:45:08 - 02:45:27 | Speaker 1:

This will be unpopular because people love her, but in four years or five years from now, when they all hate her again, they'll all go back to this audio and play it in a best of, and it will be fine. Brad Galley is a grown-ass man wearing a Taylor Swift concert t-shirt. Should not happen. And I see it from time to time with him.

02:45:28 - 02:45:29 | Speaker 2:

No, I'm not going to say that.

02:45:29 - 02:45:50 | Speaker 1:

No, Kev, Kev, Kev, before you became mainstream Kev on the Mojo in the Morning Show, and you were cool, Kev, like when you lost your cool points when you started this show, Kev, you would have looked at a guy wearing a Taylor Swift t-shirt, and you would have said, man,

02:45:50 - 02:45:53 | Speaker 2:

dog, what's going on with that? Why is he wearing that? Let him cook.

02:45:53 - 02:45:54 | Speaker 1:

No.

02:45:54 - 02:45:56 | Speaker 2:

Let him enjoy his life. Brad Galley is the sports guy.

02:45:56 - 02:46:09 | Speaker 1:

Do you think Brad Galley can walk into the locker room and interview, you know, whoever, Gibbs or St. Brown or any of these guys wearing his tailor? Hi, how you doing? I'm Brad. How you doing?

02:46:09 - 02:46:13 | Speaker 2:

I think that's why they let him in. You got to be ready for the jokes, but do your thing, bro. Yeah.

02:46:13 - 02:46:32 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. It's just so funny because it was his boss who normally is like a suit and tie, like very proper kind of dude. I have lines for this, though. Like, if it's a Miss Rachel shirt, off limits. If it's a Peppa Pig shirt, off limits. Bluey is hitting Sesame Street level iconic.

02:46:32 - 02:46:42 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. Question, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Have you ever witnessed a grown-ass man wearing blank? What is it that you witnessed them wearing?

02:46:42 - 02:46:44 | Speaker 3:

And just kind of made you go, hmm.

02:46:45 - 02:46:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:46:46 - 02:46:52 | Speaker 2:

I feel like women think about this, because y'all have said it before, too. When guys wear jerseys, y'all look at us all crazy.

02:46:52 - 02:46:52 | Speaker 3:

Not me.

02:46:53 - 02:46:54 | Speaker 2:

Okay, not you. Maybe Mojo.

02:46:54 - 02:46:58 | Speaker 3:

Okay, no, I said when you wear, like, the tank jersey with nothing underneath.

02:46:59 - 02:47:03 | Speaker 2:

Like you're about to check in. How about back to the game when you're ready to play?

02:47:03 - 02:47:04 | Speaker 3:

That's what you know, always.

02:47:04 - 02:47:08 | Speaker 1:

A grown-ass man with one of those, with Tevas on.

02:47:08 - 02:47:10 | Speaker 3:

What are Tevas? Tevas like the sandals. You know what Tevas are.

02:47:10 - 02:47:11 | Speaker 1:

They're like Jesus sandals.

02:47:12 - 02:47:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:47:12 - 02:47:13 | Speaker 1:

Like the Tevas.

02:47:13 - 02:47:15 | Speaker 2:

I don't know Tevas either, Megan.

02:47:15 - 02:47:18 | Speaker 1:

Look up Tevas. Thank you. Or a grown-ass man.

02:47:18 - 02:47:41 | Speaker 3:

If he's, like, a hiker, I'm okay with the Tevas. No, but that to me, this is some WPS right here. For sure, these are the people who only have granola in the pantry. There are more red flags in the shoes. The shoes are just an indicator of all of their red flags. They've got nuts as a snack in their glove compartment. For sure. Almond mom. That's almond mom status. No, they don't have nuts. These come with a fanny pan.

02:47:41 - 02:47:44 | Speaker 1:

They're allergic to peanuts. They got a peanut allergy.

02:47:44 - 02:47:47 | Speaker 3:

These come with the backpack that has the straw built into it for the water?

02:47:47 - 02:47:53 | Speaker 1:

What about, wait, what about a grown-ass man with Heelys?

02:47:53 - 02:48:01 | Speaker 2:

No. Absolutely no. No. What's the occasion? No. No, I love Heelys. Heelys loves Heelys. Yeah, I love Heelys. Seven-year-olds.

02:48:02 - 02:48:20 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, Courtney? Hi. I might be buying some Heelys. Hi, good morning. I was just thinking maybe he wears it because of his nieces and nephews. Who, the boss of Wes's boss? Maybe. I don't know if he has nieces or nephews. Why are you wearing it on a Zoom? Did they make fun of him on it? Did they say anything?

02:48:20 - 02:48:21 | Speaker 3:

It was one-on-one.

02:48:21 - 02:48:37 | Speaker 1:

It was one-on-one. It was an exit interview. It was one-on-one. West didn't say something, joking around, going, hey, nice shirt. No. He said, heck no. This is his new boss? His new boss. Oh, exit hall boss. Man, I would have, especially with, you know, with that job, I would have been like, there's no way.

02:48:37 - 02:48:38 | Speaker 2:

No wonder he's leaving.

02:48:38 - 02:49:00 | Speaker 1:

Right. By the way, people are all calling or texting in. Text 95500, but we're going to call you because Lydia wants to get you on the air and tell us about the grown-ass man wearing things. I have said this before on the show, but you know who Calvin is? Calvin and Hobbes? No, Calvin and Hobbes.

02:49:00 - 02:49:01 | Speaker 3:

Oh, the people that have the pee sticker.

02:49:02 - 02:49:09 | Speaker 1:

The guy that pees on things. You ever see it on? It's usually on guys who drive, like, Dodge Ram pickup trucks.

02:49:09 - 02:49:20 | Speaker 3:

Okay, well, don't make fun of the guys that drive Dodge Ram. Why? That's what West Drive is. He does not have a Calvin sticker, nor does he have steel balls hanging from his toe hook or whatever it's called.

02:49:20 - 02:49:30 | Speaker 1:

I've seen the guys wearing the T-shirts and stuff like that. Or guys like walking around with middle finger T-shirts on. You're like going, okay, what are you, 12?

02:49:30 - 02:49:31 | Speaker 3:

Anybody who wears OSU gear.

02:49:33 - 02:49:33 | Speaker 1:

Well, there you go.

02:49:34 - 02:49:36 | Speaker 3:

Shannon, why would you say that? That's wild.

02:49:40 - 02:49:52 | Speaker 1:

Somebody said that they actually have a bluey Speedo. There's a, there's a, who, this is a kid's show. Uh, Misfit Victor, what's going on? Hi. Hey, you guys just called me. Sorry.

02:49:52 - 02:49:53 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, man.

02:49:53 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 1:

Victor, did you send a text in? That was, was it a good text? No. Here's the topic. Are you listening to us live or are you on?

02:50:00 - 02:50:06 | Speaker 2:

about the bluey t-shirt yeah okay so question for you uh victor is there any way that that

02:50:06 - 02:50:12 | Speaker 3:

bluey t-shirt belonged to one of the kids locked in his basement right we just need chris hansen

02:50:12 - 02:50:31 | Speaker 2:

to walk in at any moment right exactly um victor are there any things that you chris hansen is a listener by the way i remember because i you told me that that chris hansen lives here and he has a new show what up chris i sent you a uh cameo from him remember yes can we get chris can we get chris

02:50:31 - 02:50:37 | Speaker 3:

hansen to uh come in yes in studio my my cousin my cousin johnny cuts his hair i'll have to get

02:50:37 - 02:50:43 | Speaker 1:

a hold of him and uh oh my god he has a new show that's really similar to catch a predator i think

02:50:43 - 02:50:54 | Speaker 3:

he just busted like a local professor or something yes it's on his own channel like on blue tv or something like that it's great do you have anything no connection to bluey do you have

02:50:54 - 02:50:58 | Speaker 2:

anything to add to this topic have you ever seen a grown-ass man wearing anything that they should

02:50:58 - 02:51:17 | Speaker 3:

not be wearing no but i mean it's it's just such a double standard because you know when when i've got in public and i see a 25 or 40 or 50 year woman wearing strawberry shortcake or my little pony or juicy on their ass exactly that's cute but a guy wears a bluey shirt all of a sudden and he's a psychiatrist.

02:51:17 - 02:51:19 | Speaker 1:

To a business thing. To a business thing.

02:51:21 - 02:51:28 | Speaker 3:

It's an exit interview. Who cares? I mean, it's not a big deal, exit interview. We used to make fun of the women on Cops

02:51:28 - 02:51:30 | Speaker 1:

that were wearing one of the Pooh shirts.

02:51:30 - 02:51:36 | Speaker 3:

I'm sure he was asking Wes why he stole all that stuff and why he doesn't wear it.

02:51:37 - 02:51:40 | Speaker 2:

Victor sounds like he has a bluey shirt. He must have a bluey shirt.

02:51:40 - 02:51:46 | Speaker 3:

No, I honestly don't even know what bluey is, but I'm sure maybe he doesn't have a white shirt. That's true.

02:51:46 - 02:51:50 | Speaker 2:

Your baby doesn't know Bluey? No, do you know that his babies watch?

02:51:51 - 02:51:55 | Speaker 3:

My daughter just started playing Fortnite. And she's six.

02:51:56 - 02:52:10 | Speaker 2:

Victor's kids, I'll be like, what are you doing? And he goes, I'm hanging out with the kids. We're watching TV. And I'm listening in the background. You hear, like all this gunfire. And I'm like, seriously, your kids are watching that stuff?

02:52:11 - 02:52:14 | Speaker 3:

I'm getting them ready. What if, like, later on in life, they want to move to Detroit?

02:52:15 - 02:52:34 | Speaker 2:

You got to relax on that. Hey, come on. Detroit's now our home. Camera, what's going on? Well, it's now the home of our station. I got to be nice to all the cops in Detroit now. I got to be careful. I drive through the north and east and west sides of Detroit here. What's going on, camera?

02:52:35 - 02:52:42 | Speaker 4:

I was recently on a cruise, and I saw a grown man wearing a Hello Kitty t-shirt at the pool.

02:52:42 - 02:52:43 | Speaker 2:

At the pool?

02:52:44 - 02:52:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it was so cool.

02:52:47 - 02:52:54 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Did you see any woman with him or even man with him?

02:52:55 - 02:53:02 | Speaker 4:

He had a wife and daughter, so it was kind of understandable. But, you know, I still noticed it.

02:53:02 - 02:53:05 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call. Ro, what's up?

02:53:06 - 02:53:07 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

02:53:07 - 02:53:15 | Speaker 5:

First time, long time. Hey, Ro. Ro's on the phone. Oh, I love you guys. Grown man with Velcro shoes.

02:53:17 - 02:53:25 | Speaker 2:

Yes, that is true. Unless the guy's got a handicap or something like that. We got to shout him out. But a grown man with Velcro Reeboks right there.

02:53:27 - 02:53:28 | Speaker 4:

Definitely.

02:53:28 - 02:53:38 | Speaker 2:

I saw that they had the at the Reebok store. There used to be a Reebok store that was across the street from the radio station, the old radio station. I walked in there one time.

02:53:38 - 02:53:38 | Speaker 1:

It was New Balance.

02:53:38 - 02:53:54 | Speaker 2:

Or New Balance. I'm sorry, yeah, they had Velcro new balances, and I'm, like, going, oh, that's kind of cool. Like, you know what I mean? Like, you don't have to tie your shoes at all? Yeah. Nah. I'm going to go to those days later. Nah, not the Velcro. I never got to do it when I was younger. What's up, Chloe?

02:53:55 - 02:53:56 | Speaker 5:

Hey.

02:53:56 - 02:53:57 | Speaker 2:

Hi. What's up?

02:53:58 - 02:54:24 | Speaker 5:

Saw a, well, I see him all the time when I pick my son up from school, but there is a guy who dresses so ridiculous every single day. I have no idea what his deal is, but my son is friends with his son, and he wears two different shoes, he wears two different socks, he will wear anybody's pants, absolutely anybody's shirt. I have never seen anything like it.

02:54:24 - 02:54:26 | Speaker 2:

Is he doing it as a joke?

02:54:26 - 02:54:30 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. It's been every single day for like two years.

02:54:31 - 02:54:37 | Speaker 2:

It's wild that he does it taking his kids to school, because that would be the one place that you would not want to be doing that.

02:54:37 - 02:54:48 | Speaker 5:

That's kind of what I saw. And, like, he came to their Halloween party where no other parents are dressed up, which I give him credit for. I really do. Like, if you're marching to your own drum, good for you.

02:54:48 - 02:54:48 | Speaker 3:

Sure.

02:54:48 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 5:

But he dresses up in a tutu, and he's got Sing One shirt on with a cat and a hat, and he's trick-or-treating with all the other kids.

02:55:00 - 02:55:20 | Speaker 2:

It is funny that you think about this and you go, yeah, this guy is a great dad, but do you notice that the mom is never there? Oh, yeah. Did she leave him? Every single one of them. No, she's there. Oh, she is there. Oh, okay. I didn't know. I thought she was not there. Annalisa? Yes, I'm here. What did you see a guy wearing?

02:55:21 - 02:55:29 | Speaker 3:

Saw a guy walking downtown Sogatuck with a sweatshirt that says, if it has tits or tires, I can make it squeal.

02:55:29 - 02:55:34 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. That's a hell of a shirt.

02:55:35 - 02:55:42 | Speaker 3:

Right? And I'm like, where did you get that sweatshirt? He wouldn't tell me. I could see it in school you.

02:55:42 - 02:55:45 | Speaker 2:

I love, by the way, when you say Saga Talk, that it wasn't Saga Talk,

02:55:45 - 02:55:48 | Speaker 4:

because I feel like anything goes in Saga Talk.

02:55:49 - 02:57:32 | Speaker 2:

All right. Well, by the way, I want to see that last dad that we just talked to wear that to his kid's school to drop him off. i came in this morning and everybody was like sick and i'm going man this may be the first time that i'm not worried about this because i was sick over our vacation like i actually got sick i got sick on new year's day. It was such a crazy thing. Like I got a new, a new year's day. We had a party and we had all these people come over. I got so sick that I went over to Chelsea. I go, I am not feeling good. I had this like congestion thing, but also felt like achy and run down that I, I went over to Chelsea and I go, Hey, I'm just going to go to bed. And she goes, Oh, okay. All right. You know, she knew I wasn't like feeling great. So I went to bed like at seven o'clock or eight o'clock at night and everybody at the party was just partying on partying on it didn't take until 11 o'clock or 11 30 where people were like hey where's Tom I said I said I go really and she goes she goes yeah she goes I didn't say anything at first like hey Tom went to bed be quiet because I know you can sleep through anything but she's like they didn't really even notice and I thought about this and I thought this is actually kind of kind of funny but has anybody ever gone to a, uh, uh, or had a party and they ended up either getting sick or fell asleep at their party and everybody all still partied.

02:57:32 - 02:57:45 | Speaker 1:

They all like, they all did that. I remember once I was DJing my homie, uh, JG party. These, we was like in our early twenties, everybody drinking, everybody's super young. It's a cheered out. What is this music?

02:57:45 - 02:57:51 | Speaker 2:

This is a New Year's Eve music. Tell go back to JG.

02:57:51 - 02:58:08 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, for sure. So I'm downstairs in the basement doing a party. It's like a pajama party. So I'm in a robe, everybody chilling, vibing. Long story short, I remember playing a Drake song, and then I must have passed out. Because I woke up, and it was like, I don't love the song playing, but everybody was vibing.

02:58:08 - 02:58:10 | Speaker 2:

I was like, okay, let's get back to it.

02:58:11 - 02:58:13 | Speaker 4:

That was alcohol-induced. Oh, for sure. I was gone.

02:58:14 - 02:59:13 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Have you ever thrown a party and then had to leave your own party and people still partied? Or you ended up passing out at your party or fell asleep? This used to happen to me all the time. Shannon, prior, pre-Shannon, what is it? It would be BS, before Shannon. BS of the Mojo in the Morning history. Back in the days when Sarah and those guys were here, Spike and Eric and Chad and those guys, I would have a lot of times where we would do like, hey, let's all get together. Come on, Friday night, we'd do a barbecue at my house. This is no joke. You've got to ask Eric this next time Eric's on doing like a Donald Trump impersonation. I would fall asleep at my things all the time. And they would let themselves out of the garage. They knew my garage code, everything. They would let it down. And I would go to bed and wake up the next morning and not know exactly how, like everybody would put themselves.

02:59:13 - 02:59:14 | Speaker 3:

What time did everybody leave?

02:59:14 - 02:59:18 | Speaker 2:

Right, exactly. Because I would just pass out from not like sleeping enough.

02:59:18 - 02:59:22 | Speaker 3:

I'm actually surprised they didn't crawl into bed with you. Especially Eric.

02:59:22 - 02:59:24 | Speaker 2:

Believe me, I guarantee you there's pictures or something.

02:59:25 - 02:59:42 | Speaker 4:

That's so funny. When my friends plan, like if we plan to do something or all get together for just like a couple of drinks or whatever, and we want to hang out at home, they, if they want it to be an early night, they'll be like Shan's hosting because they know that by nine o'clock I'm done and they all have to go. Because I've fallen asleep so many times.

02:59:42 - 02:59:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:59:43 - 02:59:43 | Speaker 4:

At my own house.

02:59:44 - 02:59:45 | Speaker 2:

So you're exactly this then.

02:59:45 - 02:59:56 | Speaker 4:

But I don't even go up. Like, I will just, I'm, there hits a certain point where I'm, like, sitting on the couch or, like, cozied up in a chair. And if you put a blanket on me, I'm out.

02:59:56 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 1:

I got to let you know I'm leaving now. In front of everybody. I got to wake you up and be like, hey, I'm on.

03:00:00 - 03:00:05 | Speaker 5:

out of here i can't just leave you sleep and just walk out see you next time bye i don't like that

03:00:05 - 03:00:28 | Speaker 4:

i actually like no i like it i like that everybody felt comfortable enough the funny thing is i don't think they made it to midnight because they kind of felt bad for chelsea because i think that she was like tired and wanted to go wanted to go to bed this this this may be the first new year's and i gave chelsea crap for this this might be the first new year's that chelsea has lasted midnight and I did not last midnight. Like, I did not last at all.

03:00:28 - 03:00:55 | Speaker 7:

I haven't made it to midnight on New Year's Eve in years. Really? Yeah. We come, well, I came back to work so quickly. I didn't want to get off schedule. Y'all don't like counting down? Like, that's not exciting? No. I don't like New Year's in general, but I did stay up. You don't like New Year's? I've never had a fun New Year's. I've never had a fun New Year's. The expectations are too high. It's always a disappointing evening. I've worked so many of them. It's not funny as an adult. It sucks. It sucks.

03:00:56 - 03:01:06 | Speaker 5:

I love Countdown. I'm staying up. When we was younger, they used to have a Ricky Lake and a Jenny Jones Countdown to show they best of us. That's like that. I used to be so excited to watch that.

03:01:07 - 03:01:09 | Speaker 4:

For real. What's up, Erica? Hi.

03:01:10 - 03:01:38 | Speaker 2:

Hey. So we host an ugly sweater party every year for Christmas. And one year, my husband and I dressed up as the Grinch and a who. Like, all of it. and he had started drinking at, like, 3 o'clock while we were getting our makeup done, and he was passed out drunk by 10 o'clock. And I just hosted the rest of the party without him.

03:01:38 - 03:01:45 | Speaker 4:

Did you leave him there, passed out? Like, was he out in the open? Like, did you, you know, put the fun dip by him or something like that, like the seven-layer or anything?

03:01:46 - 03:01:58 | Speaker 2:

I put him in bed. Did you? He ripped the mask off of his face. So I have a picture of my brother holding it up like he hunted the Grinch in the hallway. Oh, my God. That was the other thing, too.

03:01:58 - 03:02:15 | Speaker 4:

There's been many pictures of me at my own house where there would be, like, pictures of them doing weird things to me. And I would sleep all the way through it. It's kind of like the first person that falls asleep at a kid's sleepover is usually the person that gets, like, the trick played on them. All right. It's Mojo in the morning.

03:02:15 - 03:02:25 | Speaker 1:

Today's forecast is, holy crap, I can't feel my face. This is Mojo in the morning. it's the second date update on mojo in the morning all right we're gonna do second date

03:02:25 - 03:02:39 | Speaker 4:

03:02:39 - 03:02:58 | Speaker 6:

okay and yeah and a couple days later um he invited me out to dinner so i went ahead and did that and you know we had a really great time um he was such a gentleman he paid for dinner we went out for drinks after and you know we just had like a really good conversation

03:02:58 - 03:03:05 | Speaker 4:

and did you guys talk after the date like did you guys keep communication going like the next day

03:03:05 - 03:03:19 | Speaker 6:

no he actually has not texted me or anything after that um but did you reach out to him i did reach out to him yeah i reached out three or four times but i have not heard anything

03:03:19 - 03:03:34 | Speaker 4:

and not even a heart or a thumbs up or a i'll call you sometime here soon no literally nothing so like no acknowledgement at all and you're wondering what's going on

03:03:34 - 03:03:44 | Speaker 6:

exactly my text said delivered so i know that he definitely got it um but i don't know he doesn't No, I don't think he has those on.

03:03:44 - 03:03:54 | Speaker 4:

All right, so we're going to find out what's going on. He did pick up our phone call, so we do have him on the phone, and we're going to find out what's going on. Why is Kara not getting a call back? Justin is on with us. Justin?

03:03:56 - 03:03:56 | Speaker 3:

Hey.

03:03:57 - 03:03:59 | Speaker 4:

Hey, say hello to Kara, Justin.

03:04:01 - 03:04:01 | Speaker 3:

Hello.

03:04:03 - 03:04:16 | Speaker 4:

Justin, are you having phone problems? I know that your phone there kind of got shaky for one second, about are you having phone problems and you're not able to call her no um well i just

03:04:16 - 03:04:27 | Speaker 3:

okay so she like here is my beef with this she wanted me to like pay for everything and when i

03:04:27 - 03:04:31 | Speaker 4:

mean everything i mean like everything what are you talking about the dinner that you guys went

03:04:31 - 03:04:53 | Speaker 3:

that's fine i'm i'm old school with paying for like the dinner that seems normal but she sent me i this is i this is going to be hard for you to believe she sent me a photo of her nails and then asked me to venmo her like oh you didn't come on you did that cara

03:04:53 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 6:

i did but we also talked about how he's like looking for a trad wife and everything

03:05:00 - 03:05:04 | Speaker 2:

So, I mean, if you like a traditional relationship, then... He's looking for what kind of a wife?

03:05:04 - 03:05:06 | Speaker 1:

A trad wife. What's a trad wife?

03:05:07 - 03:05:07 | Speaker 7:

I'm old.

03:05:08 - 03:05:36 | Speaker 2:

Like somebody who stays at home and, you know, makes a household and looks after kids. What is trad me? Traditional. Looks great, gets their hair done, nails done, so you look amazing and everything is done at home, but you don't really have a life outside of the home. Think of 1950s. But that's like a big, like, KP, are you in here? You and I were just talking about this. This is like a big thing right now that guys are looking for trad wives.

03:05:36 - 03:05:40 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. It's a big TikTok trend where people are invested in that.

03:05:40 - 03:05:42 | Speaker 3:

Don't ask for a trad wife unless you got a sugar daddy budget.

03:05:44 - 03:06:06 | Speaker 8:

Right. I just have to add that, like, we're talking about a wife, right? Like, if she has my kids, I'll pick up the nail tab. I mean that. But, like, on a date and getting... Yeah. There's nothing traditional about Venmo. And then getting...

03:06:06 - 03:06:08 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, he couldn't... Cut.

03:06:08 - 03:06:14 | Speaker 2:

Were you joking or were you being serious in sending him the... That you wanted your nails paid for?

03:06:15 - 03:06:24 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I was being serious because if he, you know, wants to be the provider and things like that, I mean, might as well get practice now just because we're not married. Go dig her. You know?

03:06:24 - 03:06:28 | Speaker 5:

Go dig her. No, if they talked about it on the date, then show her.

03:06:28 - 03:06:35 | Speaker 2:

If she was joking, it'd be cute and funny, but the fact that she's serious is mm-mm. First date, she already sent a bitch. She just said.

03:06:36 - 03:06:36 | Speaker 5:

She is.

03:06:36 - 03:06:43 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah, I'm being serious. I mean, he wants to pay for this thing. I thought he'd be like, oh, I love the nails. I don't know.

03:06:43 - 03:06:58 | Speaker 1:

I got to be honest with you. I think that the idea that that would be something that you would send kind of comes across bold. I hope that you put, like, laughing emojis and stuff like that just in case. I know you say you're serious.

03:06:58 - 03:06:59 | Speaker 3:

Your security emojis.

03:06:59 - 03:07:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's like your – I know that this might come across as a little bit. But Chelsea, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning. What did you want to say?

03:07:07 - 03:08:06 | Speaker 5:

Exactly. If you want a traditional relationship, yes, you get courted, And then you show a man that you have the skills to be a stuff. Let's call it what it is. It's a stuff for life. That's exactly what it is. If you want to show a man, woman, whoever, that you could be a stuff for life, then maybe you can get some perks. But you court first. You don't just, oh, pay for my thing for me. Because how does he know that, like a lot of other men, he's going to get got by some greedy girl who just wants stuff paid for for her. Great points, Jules.

03:08:06 - 03:08:18 | Speaker 3:

she was totally off but isn't that the risk though when you're seeking that sort of a relationship isn't that a risk you're taking when that's your end goal but he said he goes

03:08:18 - 03:08:25 | Speaker 2:

we had we had a discussion about wife not girlfriend or first date for sure for sure

03:08:25 - 03:08:34 | Speaker 3:

let me make it clear i think this girl is bat lincoln crazy all right not defending her but i'm just saying on the whole trad wife idea if that's what you're looking for isn't that the

03:08:34 - 03:08:42 | Speaker 5:

risk you're taking yeah later on in the relationship not on your first date agree totally agreed

03:08:42 - 03:08:48 | Speaker 1:

agree uh what's up ryan how you doing i'm pretty good man how you guys doing good morning good

03:08:48 - 03:09:13 | Speaker 7:

morning ryan what's going on buddy yeah so uh it's traditional life thing like she's talking about man uh just like the last caller said i mean you don't start off and say hey better me for my nails like first date like come on now like you know that just spells red flags right there, and I mean, it's just all about the money too much for a lot of these women, so they just like to throw that traditional on. They like to throw that traditional on the s**t.

03:09:14 - 03:09:15 | Speaker 3:

Dump, dump, dump.

03:09:16 - 03:09:24 | Speaker 1:

By the way, I thought when I picked him up, I thought, I don't know if I'm going to get a good comment or bad comment, but I knew I was going to get something out of him. What's up, Michelle? Hi.

03:09:26 - 03:09:31 | Speaker 6:

Mojo. What's up? She's wild. Who does that?

03:09:32 - 03:09:34 | Speaker 1:

Kara does that. I'm trans.

03:09:35 - 03:09:38 | Speaker 6:

Gosh, Kara, girl, come on. Pay for yourself.

03:09:39 - 03:09:39 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

03:09:39 - 03:09:44 | Speaker 6:

Be independent. Like, I don't understand where these girls are coming from these days.

03:09:44 - 03:09:50 | Speaker 1:

And it's not even, she's not even gotten past a second date, or first date. You know, she hasn't even gotten a second date, and she's already doing that stuff.

03:09:50 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 6:

That's exactly why. That's exactly why she's not going to get a second date, and she's probably going to have a really hard time for the rest of her life if that's how she's going to be. Come on, Kara.

03:10:00 - 03:10:02 | Speaker 3:

Exactly. Bailey, what did you want to say?

03:10:03 - 03:10:06 | Speaker 1:

Hi, guys. It's my first time calling in.

03:10:07 - 03:10:11 | Speaker 3:

Bailey's on the phone. Would you like me to buy your nails for you?

03:10:12 - 03:10:45 | Speaker 1:

Yes, if you're offering. No. Okay. I just think the whole TradWife thing is really, really gross. And it might have started out kind of like, let's go back to some traditional views. But it's just gross, especially with these young men saying outright that they want that. Like, do you want a mom? Like, calm down. Women should have their own thing. And if a woman wants to be a stay-at-home mom, that's totally fine. But like this whole, I'm going to take care of you. And it's just gross. It itcs me out. I hate it.

03:10:45 - 03:10:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Mario, what's up?

03:10:49 - 03:10:51 | Speaker 7:

What up, Mojo? How you guys doing today?

03:10:51 - 03:10:55 | Speaker 3:

Good, Mario. Would you like Kara's phone number? She's going to be looking for somebody to go on a date with.

03:10:55 - 03:10:56 | Speaker 5:

She needs her nails done.

03:10:56 - 03:10:58 | Speaker 7:

No, I don't want any leeches.

03:11:00 - 03:11:10 | Speaker 3:

What would you do, by the way, Mario, what would you do if, say, three dates in, she asked you for that? Like, at least you'd known each other for a month, two months, or something like that.

03:11:11 - 03:11:18 | Speaker 7:

Mojo, I'm in my late 30s. I would just kick her to the curb as soon as I can and run away, never see back.

03:11:18 - 03:11:37 | Speaker 3:

What if she asked you if you would buy her, like, something sexy to wear to bed one night? would that be something that you would think about? No. Shoot. Really? Now I'm thinking. Oh, for sure. At that point, we didn't already smash two months in. Right? Right? So what's your level, Kev?

03:11:37 - 03:12:01 | Speaker 4:

But that's so different. Nails ain't really like, well, it depends on what type of nails you're getting because nails can be expensive depending on what you're about to do and where you're about to go. So that's a factor that I would have to add into all of this. But if we done smashed and it's like a kind of thing, and I know I'm going to see her in these nails and like, you know, at that point, then I'm more willing to let some cheese fly. But if this is the first time

03:12:01 - 03:12:09 | Speaker 3:

and I don't really know you like that, like... What I would do, honestly, is I would say instead of Kara, I'd say, hey, let's go get nails done together. Right, that's good.

03:12:09 - 03:12:15 | Speaker 5:

But even like a couple of months in, Kev, you'd be okay with a girl being like, hey, I just got my nails done, here's the receipt, paint Venmo me.

03:12:15 - 03:12:24 | Speaker 4:

I mean, our conversation probably wouldn't be like that, though. We probably would be in a conversation, in the flow, hey, what are you doing tonight? I might just send it. She probably wouldn't even have to ask or something like that.

03:12:24 - 03:12:25 | Speaker 5:

So then it's a gift.

03:12:25 - 03:12:36 | Speaker 3:

But if a guy sends it to you, I think the guy's got small d. Because I think they just send you the money to get your nails done. Hey, by the way, here's money for your nails. I would go, this guy is trying to own me. I would look at you.

03:12:36 - 03:12:37 | Speaker 4:

Trying to own her?

03:12:37 - 03:12:40 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. If I was a girl, I would take it that way.

03:12:41 - 03:12:45 | Speaker 4:

So we've been going out for a few months, smashing a home bomb, and then I send you some bread.

03:12:45 - 03:12:53 | Speaker 3:

I think if you make it a date or make it like a, hey, make it something kind of cute, you know. Hey, go out with your friends, whatever the date. I just, I don't know, I think it's kind of weird.

03:12:53 - 03:13:02 | Speaker 5:

No, I actually really agree with you. Oh, see, if we had been dating for a couple of months and he knew that I got my nails done all the time and did that, like sent me a Venmo with a cute note,

03:13:02 - 03:13:07 | Speaker 1:

I don't know if you did it before you did the appointment that's cute, but not after, that's weird.

03:13:07 - 03:13:13 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I agree with you there. And I also think a lot of it just has to do with the Treadwife mentality in general. For sure.

03:13:13 - 03:13:17 | Speaker 4:

Is what I agree with Mojo on, more so than paying for nails. I wasn't even talking about Treadwife.

03:13:18 - 03:13:19 | Speaker 2:

Right, right. No, no, no.

03:13:20 - 03:13:21 | Speaker 3:

Amanda, what did you want?

03:13:21 - 03:13:23 | Speaker 2:

That's so Midwestern. No, no, no. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

03:13:25 - 03:13:27 | Speaker 3:

Amanda, did you hang up? No?

03:13:28 - 03:13:29 | Speaker 2:

No, I'm here.

03:13:29 - 03:13:29 | Speaker 3:

What was your question?

03:13:31 - 03:13:36 | Speaker 2:

So, I had a couple questions. First question, I might have missed it, but did he pay for the nails or no?

03:13:36 - 03:13:39 | Speaker 3:

No, no. He stopped calling her, no.

03:13:40 - 03:13:49 | Speaker 2:

Okay, and then was this before or after their date? It was after. Yeah. It was after the date. And this was after the whole conversation of trad wife and whatnot.

03:13:49 - 03:13:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

03:13:49 - 03:13:52 | Speaker 5:

And regardless, before or after, still be after.

03:13:52 - 03:13:54 | Speaker 3:

That's crazy. Listen to this. Chris, what's up, Chris?

03:13:56 - 03:13:57 | Speaker 6:

Oh, what's going on?

03:13:57 - 03:14:00 | Speaker 3:

Chris, you're dating a woman who did just this to you?

03:14:01 - 03:14:05 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, so this is a crazy story. By the way, long-time listener, huge fan. You guys are awesome.

03:14:05 - 03:14:06 | Speaker 7:

Thank you. Chris on the phone.

03:14:08 - 03:15:00 | Speaker 6:

So here's the deal. I started dating this girl in March, and then things probably moved a little too fast. We moved in together, and she quit her job, and I'm thinking, okay, you're looking for another job no big deal comes two months later she's still not looking for a job well we had previously had a conversation about how i don't mind the traditional setup of a man taking care of the woman the woman taking care of the household yada yada yada i said i wouldn't even mind paying for nails and hair and whatnot so two months into this she's still not looking for a job thing i get a text in the middle of the work day like hey i'm gonna go get my nails done can you give me some money now the problem i have with this situation is that she wasn't cooking she wasn't cleaning she had her own kid that was living with us and she barely took care of her kid and i'm like well that that was a conversation based on you pulling your weight into doing

03:15:00 - 03:15:04 | Speaker 2:

your part around the house and we had never even come to any sort of arrangement chris what's your

03:15:04 - 03:15:11 | Speaker 3:

phone number i'm calling you up i need a friend oh my god she was taking advantage of you yeah

03:15:11 - 03:15:20 | Speaker 2:

yeah so so four months go by and i finally i'm like you have to go this isn't working but what do you mean i love you so much well of course you do i've been taking care of you right claim

03:15:20 - 03:15:29 | Speaker 3:

royal texas wait hold on can you can you evict her can you evict her from your place or now How did she lay claim? Could she come after you and say, no, I'm not leaving?

03:15:31 - 03:15:41 | Speaker 2:

All right, so here's the best part, worst part. Just got her out last weekend, but I'm still packing her stuff. This woman had so much stuff. It was unbelievable. And that should have been a red flag when I moved around.

03:15:41 - 03:15:48 | Speaker 3:

Can I look through it first before you give it back? Just a little free shopping? Chris, thank you for the call, buddy. I apologize. Poor bastard.

03:15:49 - 03:15:57 | Speaker 4:

All right. That does it for today. Tomorrow, War of the Roses, busting another cheater. You will hear that tomorrow morning. And tomorrow's War of the Roses, an interesting one. A friend, this week is the week of people helping you bust cheaters. The other day was a mom who helped bust her daughter's fiance, a friend who was out hanging at a bar and saw her best friend's boyfriend kind of like rubbing on some other girl's back. It looked like a romantic type of a rub, which, by the way, anybody can rub on somebody's back. You just can't rub on a back of a girl you're sleeping with. Now, that's a bad thing. There's something sexual, by the way, about touching the right above a girl's butt cheeks. The small. That's what it's called, yes. Tomorrow morning, we bust a cheater. War of the Roses. See you then. Bye. 20-plus years of idiocy and still going in Detroit, Toledo, and West Michigan.
