We'll be right back.

00:03:01 - 00:03:32 | Speaker 8:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning show, nestled by the fire. Trying to keep a little bit warm here on a temperature that just seems crazy to see that we're like nine degrees right now starting off the show. And actually, I'll be honest. I'm not going to say this, but for some reason, the temperature in the studio feels okay.

00:03:32 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 9:

Don't even say that. Oh, I mean, good. Do you want to know why? That's because yesterday it was so frigid. I pumped it up to 74. It doesn't feel like 74. It just feels warm. I know.

00:03:42 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 8:

You know what? It is weird because I think 74 on a thermostat to me is way too hot.

00:03:46 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 9:

That's what my house is. And it also does not feel very warm. No, but my house is so drafty.

00:03:51 - 00:03:51 | Speaker 8:

Okay.

00:03:51 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 9:

But people hear 74 and they're like, are you nuts?

00:03:54 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 8:

Well, let me just tell you this By the way, you reminded me of It's a Wonderful Life That movie, It's a Wonderful Life And it goes, just drafty old house

00:04:01 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 9:

I do have a drafty old house

00:04:02 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 8:

This studio feels To me, like, perfect If we can keep it this way, I know it's going to end up happening For some reason And I know this has worked this way in the old building Once the sales department comes Somebody messes with something, right? It's like, if we all just kind of Play it cool, everything's good And then all of a sudden, at 8.30 this morning, here comes the freeze.

00:04:26 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 2:

It's very much like our old building, though, where there are rooms here that are 8 million degrees, and then there are rooms that are 3 degrees. Yeah.

00:04:34 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. All right. Well, I was going to stand. I'm going to sit. Maybe that's when the temperature changes. Maybe I need to stand more. All right. Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses coming up today. what do you do when you see your best friend's boyfriend and another girl together you call mojo in the morning do war of the roses text roses to nine five five zero zero we got one this morning at seven

00:05:00 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 4:

You got to listen to. You got to listen to. All right, Mojo in the Morning Show. Kevin, a little interesting thing here, huh? What's this girl trying to do?

00:05:14 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 2:

You know what I'm saying? Look, I'm not even going to try to make it seem like something it ain't. It's really me. I know I told y'all it was the girl, but I'm the one who said it. Wait, no, come on.

00:05:24 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 3:

Hold on a second. Wait, wait, wait.

00:05:27 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 4:

You know what he did, Shannon? Yes. He did the topic of a friend of mine.

00:05:31 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and it's you.

00:05:32 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 2:

It is me. Look, I'm not even...

00:05:34 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 1:

Wait, and this is juicy, too. I'm stepping in the fire. It's the story you told us in the pre-show meeting?

00:05:37 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So I didn't know this lady... Oh, don't call her a lady.

00:05:42 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 1:

What should I say?

00:05:43 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 2:

What do you want to be called? Are you KB's old girls? Because I always...

00:05:46 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 1:

Lady to me just sounds like... Old.

00:05:49 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 2:

It sounds old. Mrs. Doubtfire. Yeah, that's what I imagine when you say lady.

00:05:53 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 1:

Is woman okay? This young woman. Even if you said young lady, better. No, young lady sounds weird.

00:05:58 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:05:59 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 1:

I'm just telling you.

00:05:59 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 4:

I don't know.

00:06:00 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 1:

Fine. Go ahead with your story. All right.

00:06:02 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 2:

This girl. This girl. Girl. This girl. I don't even know what made me hit her up like that for real. Because we cool, but we not like super cool. Like recently cool. She's a friend? I don't even know if I would call her a friend. Like I've never been around her on a one-on-one type situation. So I've always been in public. Okay. Known her for like maybe like a year and a half. Like something super fresh, super new. At any rate though, let me check the DMs because I don't even know how it started. But long story short. i was like um what's good and she said something like she recently or she's going through a divorce or just got divorced so she had to move back in with her parents and then i'm like oh well you know i just got out of a long relationship too we should be each other's relationship rebound let's go get drinks and like you know talk about all our problems and she was like yes we can consummate or drown our sorrows like type vibe and i was like that's interesting i've never actually said the term relationship rebound or have ever known of it like obviously i've heard you could be somebody's rebound or somebody has a rebound and when they get out of a relationship but to collectively come to a decision that we're going to be each other's relationship rebound

00:07:12 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 1:

and not have a relationship because that's what that says to me if you're already up front saying We're going to be each other's rebound. It's like, we're going to hook up, maybe go out a few times, and that's it. Nothing serious. Yeah, exactly. And she's down. I love it. Let me see a picture of her. Yeah, she's being clear. She's communicating. You're talking about sex. Why won't you show me a picture? Because I know her. I don't want to do that. I know her.

00:07:34 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 2:

Yep, I don't want to do that. Really? I know her.

00:07:37 - 00:07:37 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:07:38 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 2:

I know who it is.

00:07:39 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 1:

Kevin Irwin.

00:07:40 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 2:

I'm not doing that.

00:07:41 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 1:

No, it's not. Because she's still in a relationship.

00:07:44 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I think I know who it is.

00:07:45 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 1:

I know you could, like, kind of wish for you to still hear.

00:07:48 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 2:

No. Is it? No, no, no. I wouldn't cross that bridge. I think he's lying. I'm too close to both parties in that situation. Just flash the photo on your phone really quickly. I'm not flashing you anything, Shannon. He's lying. Oh, I will find out. No, I think he's lying. You think I'm lying? Yeah. You might as well have said it was a friend. Yeah, man. But, yeah, I don't know. And, like, Zach brought up something earlier about trauma bonding. Like, I've heard that. And maybe this does fall into that category. But to have somebody who recently got a situation, you recently got a situation like, all right, let's talk about our sorrows and like, you know, make each other feel good in the process.

00:08:24 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I'm proud of you. I am proud, proud, proud of you. Why are you proud of me? In what way? I'm proud of you because you're not going to do it. You don't think so? I don't. I just know. I'm just trying to see if you're going to do it or not. But I'm proud of you because. I'm for sure going to do it. We already got a date set. No, no, no.

00:08:41 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 1:

Finish your sentence.

00:08:42 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 4:

Your radio, I don't know, professor here is proud of you for going on the air and saying it was you instead of doing the whole friend thing.

00:08:52 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I thought you were going to say something different.

00:08:54 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 4:

You know how many times people on this show have done a friend of mine, and it drives me crazy because I'm thinking to myself, the listeners would rather know that it's you that this is the case. And I'm glad that you said that at the very beginning of this deal. Because if you would have said a friend of mine.

00:09:09 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 1:

He wasn't going to say a friend of his in the first place, though. He was going to say it was the girl who said

00:09:13 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 4:

I was going to put it all on her

00:09:14 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 1:

But some of us just have hot mess friends

00:09:17 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 4:

That is true No, I get it But can they also be a co-host on this show Because sometimes I like to hear them In first person

00:09:27 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 1:

So when are you guys going out?

00:09:29 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 4:

I think we said the 26th

00:09:31 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 2:

I think of January So I should have something To talk about that Monday

00:09:36 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 4:

Sunday dates is not a good idea

00:09:38 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 2:

We both busy bro So it's like, we got to figure out how we can figure it out. You can't do it on a Sunday. You got to be in the media to be busy.

00:09:46 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 1:

I'm just saying, like, funky schedule.

00:09:50 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 2:

The Lord. That's the Lord's name. Would you date anybody else in the media?

00:09:53 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 1:

I am trying to figure this out.

00:09:54 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Red flag. You wouldn't date anybody in the media? Absolutely not. We're all psychopaths. Really? Oh.

00:10:00 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 5:

Who would you date in media? Well, you can't ask me that question now.

00:10:05 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 7:

I would. We can't talk about what celebrity we want to see with?

00:10:08 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no, no, no. I meant like local people. Yeah. I mean, I would date somebody in the media here in town.

00:10:13 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 2:

Is there somebody that you find attractive in the media in this town, Shannon? Yeah, absolutely.

00:10:18 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 5:

We all have terrible hours.

00:10:20 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 2:

Jay Towers? I've always known that.

00:10:21 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 5:

Jay, I love you, Jay.

00:10:23 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 2:

I always knew that there was something there. You got something you'll hear, Megan. Can I get it?

00:10:27 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 5:

Is it Megan Mick?

00:10:29 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 2:

Ooh, maybe that's what it is. Oh, no, she's not forced, though.

00:10:33 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 7:

Thank you.

00:10:34 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Have you ever gone through, and Kev did, he went through a breakup, you go through a breakup, and the person that you rebound with is somebody that is a friend. Have you ever had that happen to you? Have you ever divorced or broken up, and then next thing you know, here comes that best friend that person that uh you know was your safe place and now you're inside their safe place or not so safe place on a sunday in january um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 and also the other question that i would like to uh to pose is do you guys think that this is a bad idea for kevin to do this because when they say that there's you know oh yeah there's nothing to this This is it. There's always something to it. Somebody's going to catch the feels.

00:11:26 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 1:

You don't think that there's a world out there where you can have sex with somebody or do whatever and not catch feelings?

00:11:35 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 2:

Do you understand that I have fallen in love with every girl that I've had sex with?

00:11:39 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, but that's you.

00:11:40 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 2:

But I think there's a lot of people that are like that.

00:11:43 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 7:

Isn't that just tough? That's true. I agree with you, but I also think there's a lot of people that can have casual sex.

00:11:48 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 2:

Really?

00:11:48 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, especially if it's clearly communicated.

00:11:50 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. For sure. I don't know. You're not a casual sex type guy. No, I'm, I'm, I, by the way, once I, I have sex with you, I, for some reason, I, I hold that sacred, I guess. See, I'm the opposite.

00:12:04 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 7:

I hold you sacred until I have sex with you. And then I'm like, ugh. All right.

00:12:09 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 2:

Our phone line's not working because nobody's calling. Anybody out there? Is there anybody out there? Call us up. 844-665-6548. 844-MOJO-LIVE.

00:12:21 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 5:

Don't call until Kev tells us who it is.

00:12:23 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 7:

And not to backtrack, but just to be silly, I was joking about the non-media thing until I remembered one of my old co-hosts dated a news guy. And the fact that they had so many social obligations to go to, ugh, seems terrible. No. I'm going to sit on my couch. I'm going to watch Netflix. I tried to hook you up with a media guy.

00:12:41 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 2:

Remember, too, there was always rumors with you and your former morning host.

00:12:47 - 00:12:48 | Speaker 7:

I still love him.

00:12:48 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. You guys were very close with each other.

00:12:51 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 7:

Oh, God, no. We murder each other. Is he single? I'll say his name. Yeah, he's single. Go on a date. Absolutely not.

00:12:58 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 6:

Look at the smile on your face. Oh, my God. It's Eric Chase.

00:13:00 - 00:13:07 | Speaker 7:

If you listen to that case, everybody thought Eric Chase and I were dating, and we would truly murder each other. I love him to death.

00:13:07 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 2:

I would kill him. That could make for a great relationship.

00:13:09 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 7:

A great night for a documentary.

00:13:11 - 00:13:14 | Speaker 2:

He said great ride, which I also kind of agree with. Hi, Brax. What's up?

00:13:14 - 00:13:15 | Speaker 7:

Shannon Murphy.

00:13:16 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Brax? How are you guys doing this morning? Good. What's happening?

00:13:20 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 4:

So my rebound wasn't my friend. It was actually her friend.

00:13:25 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you dog. You went right to one of her friends just so you could make it worse for her?

00:13:32 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, well, I mean, she cheated on me with seven people and married one of them. Ew. I feel like I had it coming. Okay.

00:13:40 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 6:

But didn't you feel, like, dirty after you did that? Like, I feel like I'm not recommending. Okay. And did she cheat on you?

00:13:46 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 7:

Or was she cheating with you?

00:13:50 - 00:13:52 | Speaker 2:

Sorry? Cheating on him, he said.

00:13:52 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, but, like, he said she got married. Sounds like she was cheating with him. Yeah, so. No, she cheated.

00:13:59 - 00:14:14 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it was, like, it was weird. So she married the person because they were, like, childhood best friends, and he was in the military, so it was one of those things. And we were already, like, an hour away from each other, so she got away with, like, a lot more than I let her get away with, I guess.

00:14:15 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Yeah, she cheated on you with this guy and then got married to him right away, you're saying, right?

00:14:23 - 00:14:27 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but from what I understand, like six other people as well.

00:14:27 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Man, she needs a few more, and she's got a basketball team. What's going on, Brett?

00:14:34 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 3:

Everything starts out as it's just this, and their feelings always get caught. I agree. So be prepared and just bring a Jimmy hat.

00:14:42 - 00:14:44 | Speaker 1:

Oh, for sure. Look, I ain't raw dogging nothing.

00:14:44 - 00:14:47 | Speaker 2:

Okay, we can move on. Olivia, what's going on, Olivia?

00:14:48 - 00:14:54 | Speaker 4:

First time caller. Hey! What's up?

00:14:56 - 00:14:57 | Speaker 2:

What's up?

00:14:57 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 4:

Well, I guess, what's up? I definitely think that...

00:15:00 - 00:15:09 | Speaker 2:

you know what there's people out there that can definitely have casual sex i think you definitely got to find out who kevin's talking about though you got to chill don't do that don't do that don't

00:15:09 - 00:15:20 | Speaker 4:

00:15:20 - 00:15:28 | Speaker 2:

I've never even talked to you.

00:16:01 - 00:16:06 | Speaker 4:

You know what? You're a hopeless romantic or you're a stalker. I don't know which one. Kayla, what's going on?

00:16:07 - 00:16:32 | Speaker 2:

Hey, good morning, everybody. Good morning. This isn't my first time, but I love you guys. Me too. Love you too. What's up? So I was going through a rough breakup during the time, and at the same time, I'm in a sorority. And so one of my sorority sisters, who's actually my little, She was there for me during the whole time, and I broke up, but all you know is that this connection we had got really strong, and we ended up marrying each other, so, yeah. That's good.

00:16:32 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 5:

Really? One of your sorority girls, your sorority sisters?

00:16:36 - 00:16:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, one of my sorority, my little, actually. Really?

00:16:38 - 00:16:42 | Speaker 4:

Wait, wait, was the person you broke up with also a woman?

00:16:42 - 00:16:44 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, she was a woman, yeah. Okay, all right.

00:16:44 - 00:16:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I thought that, okay, that's cool. That's all right. I like it, though, but you fell into her arms. Yeah. Yeah, and now you guys are married. Isn't that wonderful, Kevin? Hey, real quick, shout out to your sorority.

00:17:00 - 00:17:02 | Speaker 2:

To my sorority, the one I'm married to?

00:17:02 - 00:17:06 | Speaker 5:

Shana? Yeah, and a sorority. Your sorority, yeah, what sorority are you?

00:17:07 - 00:17:10 | Speaker 2:

Stay the news, I have Multicultural Sorority Incorporated. Stay the news.

00:17:10 - 00:17:15 | Speaker 5:

Is there a lot of love in sororities? Like, do a lot of the sisters hook up? God, I hope so.

00:17:16 - 00:17:25 | Speaker 2:

You know, I have heard stories, and this is, like, throughout a lot of sororities. But, yeah, I mean, I would trust it. I would marry her again a thousand times.

00:17:25 - 00:17:40 | Speaker 4:

Why do you think that happens in fraternities, too, Kevin? There's a lot of fraternity loving, too? Probably. For some reason, I think whenever I drive on Michigan State's campus and go by a sorority house, I think they're all having pillow fights all day. That's all I think they do in there.

00:17:40 - 00:17:41 | Speaker 5:

You think they make you, too?

00:17:41 - 00:17:42 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. Maybe.

00:17:42 - 00:17:43 | Speaker 3:

All right. All right.

00:17:46 - 00:17:48 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the Morning's Back in the Day.

00:17:49 - 00:17:49 | Speaker 3:

Let's go!

00:17:49 - 00:17:52 | Speaker 7:

Back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:17:52 - 00:18:06 | Speaker 4:

All right. This was the year that Pastor Joe Nelms, is it Nelms or is that what it's pronounced, gives a pre-prayer before the Nashville Speedway race.

00:18:06 - 00:18:19 | Speaker 6:

Lord, I want to thank you for my smoking hot wife tonight, Lisa. My two children, Eli and Emma, or as we like to call them, the little E's. Lord, I pray you bless the drivers and use them tonight.

00:18:19 - 00:18:21 | Speaker 4:

This is not Will Ferrell, right?

00:18:21 - 00:18:26 | Speaker 6:

This is real life. In Jesus' name, boogity, boogity, boogity.

00:18:26 - 00:18:28 | Speaker 4:

Come on. No, that is not real.

00:18:28 - 00:18:30 | Speaker 1:

I've always thought that was fake.

00:18:30 - 00:18:33 | Speaker 4:

The Change Up starring Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds came out.

00:18:34 - 00:18:47 | Speaker 1:

You live in a dream. Having children, it's like it's living with little needles. Oh, I love Jason Bateman. You know, they're laughing one minute, and then they're crying the next, and then they're trying to kill themselves in your bathroom for no good reason. They're very mean and selfish, and they burn through your money, and they break. Guy, guy, guy, guy, come on.

00:18:47 - 00:18:53 | Speaker 4:

And the big song was Avril Lavigne, I'm With You.

00:18:55 - 00:19:12 | Speaker 3:

Isn't this like the song that in a world where two people are drawn together, comes love at a sorority house? What year was it? Prove what a big brain you have. Tell us when that stuff happened.

00:19:12 - 00:19:18 | Speaker 7:

Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548.

00:19:18 - 00:19:40 | Speaker 4:

00:19:41 - 00:19:45 | Speaker 6:

We gonna take you back in the world.

00:19:45 - 00:19:49 | Speaker 7:

It's Mojo in the Mornings, back in the day. Tell us when this stuff happened.

00:19:49 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 4:

All right, this was the kickoff to the Nashville Speedway race that was going on that year when this Pastor Joe guy was doing a little, what was the movie?

00:20:00 - 00:20:02 | Speaker 3:

The Saladega Nights. Yeah, Saladega Nights.

00:20:02 - 00:20:07 | Speaker 4:

Or as we like to call them the Lilies, Lord, I pray you bless the drivers.

00:20:07 - 00:20:11 | Speaker 3:

I wonder if he was the influence or the inspiration.

00:20:11 - 00:20:13 | Speaker 6:

You guys, I honest to God always thought this was from a movie.

00:20:13 - 00:20:19 | Speaker 3:

This is literally real life. Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds started in the change-up.

00:20:20 - 00:20:32 | Speaker 1:

Having children, it's like it's living with little mini drug addicts. You know, they're laughing one minute and then they're crying the next and then they're trying to kill themselves in your bathroom for no good reason. And they're very mean and selfish, and they burn through your money, and they break shit up. Guy, guy, guy, guy, come on.

00:20:32 - 00:20:41 | Speaker 3:

Agree. And Avril Lavigne. What year was this? Amanda, what year was that?

00:20:43 - 00:20:43 | Speaker 4:

2011.

00:20:44 - 00:21:15 | Speaker 3:

00:21:17 - 00:22:03 | Speaker 3:

Alright. Butt warmers. Greatest invention that any of our great big three, you know, designers have ever put in a car. here we go text in to win Kendrick and SZA tickets text we'll go back to squabble and see if people can spell it now squabble S-Q-U-A-B-B-L-E squabble squabble text that you know why because if you ever say do the pronunciation you ever do the pronunciation thing where you Google you Google a pronunciation and they go squabble squabble Somebody should remix that with the song. Text that to 95500 right now for a chance to go to the show at Ford Field.

00:22:04 - 00:22:07 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:22:07 - 00:22:18 | Speaker 3:

Standard text and data rates do apply on the contest to win tickets to see Kendrick and SZA. I do have to say that. Text squabble to 95500 right now. Shannon's going to kick off the morning with the Dirty on the 30. What do you got this hour, Shannon?

00:22:18 - 00:22:56 | Speaker 6:

I cannot stop watching anything that has to do with these wildfires out in California. I mean, 0% contained. Insane. because of the Santa Ana winds that are just, I mean, it's hurricane strength at this point. But Hollywood's biggest celebrities are picking up the pieces this morning after being told that their homes, their neighborhoods were essentially reduced to ash and rubble after the wildfires tore through the Pacific Palisades just to the west of the city of L.A. The death toll has now reached five people. It is sure to rise pretty dramatically over the next couple of days. Apocalyptic scenes across Los Angeles.

00:22:56 - 00:23:12 | Speaker 2:

There is fierce wind down power lines, power poles toppled over, things are exploding, gas lines are on fire. It is like driving through hell itself down here.

00:23:12 - 00:23:17 | Speaker 5:

Thousands fleeing the fires, entire neighborhoods up in flames.

00:23:17 - 00:23:21 | Speaker 2:

You can feel the heat from the flames even from inside your car.

00:23:21 - 00:23:30 | Speaker 5:

Clouds of embers swirling in the powerful winds as massive pieces of ash, like this one, were carried up to 20 miles away.

00:23:31 - 00:23:36 | Speaker 1:

This is pretty devastating. I don't think L.A. has seen anything like this before.

00:23:36 - 00:24:15 | Speaker 5:

Homes, businesses, and multi-million dollar mansions, little more than matchsticks along the famous Sunset Boulevard. Stars including Billy Crystal, Ricky Lake, and Paris Hilton losing their homes. Hilton saying, seeing our home in Malibu burned to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience. Adding, my heart aches for those still in harm's way or mourning greater losses. Others desperately trying to save their homes. The wind is hurting my eyes. This woman saying she had to fight the flames at her childhood home herself because her parents lost their insurance.

00:24:16 - 00:24:28 | Speaker 4:

I have a hose. I know I'm not supposed to be here. But this is my parents' home. I know the feeling. And they just lost, they got canceled from their fire insurance.

00:24:29 - 00:24:39 | Speaker 6:

It's awful. Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, John Goodman, Matthew Perry's former home, Mindy Moore's home. I mean, so many celebrities posting about the devastation. They don't have a home anymore.

00:24:40 - 00:24:56 | Speaker 3:

As of this morning, I just was watching the KTLA feed. the fire is now raging close in the Hollywood Hills to the Dolby Theater that's where the Oscars are taking place and a lot of people were worried that the Hollywood sign quite possibly could burn

00:24:56 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 6:

they said more than 130,000 people have been

00:25:00 - 00:25:03 | Speaker 3:

evacuated so far obviously that number is going to dramatically rise in the next couple of days

00:25:03 - 00:25:22 | Speaker 2:

you know what got me though the firefighters aren't fighting the fire because they don't have the supplies or the means or the winds or whatever it is but they're still breaking into homes to try to save as many things out of people's houses before they burn down as possible did you see that they're like piling up photos and grandfather clocks and statues and artwork all in the streets

00:25:22 - 00:26:11 | Speaker 3:

I saw they were using like bulldozers to move people's cars insane um I'll play you a clip I mean, first off, the L.A. mayor has been kind of absent through all of this. So she's getting blasted. And also, areas of the Palisades, like they ran out of water in the fire hydrant. So that's a huge thing this morning as well. Justin Baldoni's lawyer, Brian Friedman, made an appearance on an episode of the Megyn Kelly show yesterday. And during the show, the former Fox News host played an alleged voice memo that Justin sent to his team after the It Ends With Us premiere. Allegedly, I feel like I'm saying that a lot with this story. Allegedly, Blake Lively did not want him anywhere near the movie's cast that night. And it's interesting because he did not take any photos with anybody from the cast at the It Ends With Us premiere. Listen to this.

00:26:12 - 00:26:47 | Speaker 5:

On what could have been one of the most beautiful nights of my life career-wise, I literally was sent to the basement with all my friends and family for over an hour. because I wasn't allowed to be seen. She didn't want me anywhere near her or the rest of the cast. So they ushered me off the carpet and they sent us down to the basement. We were down there together, my friends and family, the people that love me the most. We start laughing because of the ridiculousness of this whole thing.

00:26:48 - 00:26:52 | Speaker 2:

You know who I want to hear from? Jenny Slate. Oh, she hasn't said a ding thing. Yeah.

00:26:53 - 00:27:17 | Speaker 3:

Who's right, Jenny? She's also in the movie, by the way. Yeah. I'm wondering who that is. And lastly, Amon Ross St. Brown announcing on the St. Brown podcast that he is teaming up with the Home Bakery in Rochester, Michigan for a little playoff ticket giveaway. Now, they're the bakery, but that's the bakery that has the cake of him doing the handstand. By the way, it's incredible. If you haven't popped by to see it, go.

00:27:17 - 00:27:22 | Speaker 4:

His idea of what he's going to do for that bakery is epic.

00:27:22 - 00:28:48 | Speaker 1:

yeah so i do have a special special announcement um i don't know if you guys have seen but there's like a literal life-size cake that home bakery made of me in rochester michigan um when i first saw it i was like no way like the attention to detail is ridiculous um people are sending me on instagram dming me uh tech my friends are texting me like you gotta check this out i'm like bro this is crazy like i definitely gotta check it out so i'm checking it out next week in person i do want to see what it tastes like too um i need like a slice or something but in honor of the home bakery in rochester michigan um i will be giving away two home playoff tickets to our divisional round um next week so when a chance to attend our divisional round playoff game next weekend all you need to do is purchase any item at home bakery a cake shop in Rochester, Michigan between January 13th and January 16th to enter the contest. The winner will be announced Friday the 17th. So all you gotta do is purchase anything there between January 13th and January 16th. We're gonna run out of it. It's a little teeny tiny place. And you know, raffle, we're gonna pull random, it's gonna be random selection. Two people. That's amazing. Whatever, one person. I love that. This is why we're gonna win the Super Bowl. To go to this game, it's gonna be rocking. And I promise you, I'm going to take care of the seats.

00:28:48 - 00:28:50 | Speaker 3:

So Heather Tocco is the owner of Home Bakery.

00:28:50 - 00:28:51 | Speaker 1:

But shout out to Home Bakery, man.

00:28:51 - 00:29:00 | Speaker 3:

She said it took her 160 hours to make that cake. Wow. Insane. It is spectacular. You saw it firsthand, too, and you said it's amazing. Yeah, I took the kids to see it. It's so cool.

00:29:00 - 00:29:27 | Speaker 4:

You know what? Kev's right. These guys care. This isn't a group of guys that just got drafted to a team or got signed to a team. This is a group of guys that care about Detroit. This reminds me so much of the Pistons back in the day, you know, in the Red Wings, too. I mean, there's something about the city. When you get a team that, you know, they embrace the city and they embrace the fans, they embrace us, you know, it's amazing. Spirit, man.

00:29:27 - 00:29:31 | Speaker 3:

For all of today's Dirty Catch-Up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

00:29:34 - 00:29:38 | Speaker 2:

Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source, is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:29:41 - 00:29:59 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Joe, in the morning. By the way, Kev's shouting this song out because a lot of people fighting right now on tax at 95500. And by the way, Joe, go to school. Just a second ago, Kevin's on his phone telling his son he's got to go to school. His mom texts me like he's arguing. He don't want to go today. Send help. He keeps saying it's non-negotiable.

00:30:00 - 00:30:18 | Speaker 3:

Can we call him and talk to him? Yeah, I'll face him. Okay. All right, hold on. War of the Roses coming up here in a second. By the way, I do have to tell you that my kids used to say, my stomach hurts. They would do that all the time at this age. I'd be like, I don't care. My stomach hurts too, but I got to go.

00:30:19 - 00:30:28 | Speaker 2:

Is he going to answer? I don't know. You probably. Oh, here you go. All right. Here, I'll give you the phone. You can talk to someone. He ain't listening to me. Joe. It's Uncle Mojo.

00:30:30 - 00:30:33 | Speaker 3:

What would you be doing? What are you going to do if you don't go to school?

00:30:34 - 00:30:38 | Unknown:

Well, I'm going to be drawing, reading my Bible, and reading.

00:30:38 - 00:30:39 | Speaker 2:

Oh, he had to throw the Bible in.

00:30:39 - 00:30:54 | Speaker 3:

Oh, the Bible. Oh, look at you. And he's got it right there. Look at you. He wrote it for real on the Bible. So I love it. I love it. So you don't want to go to school. Oh, look at his drawing. So don't you think you're going to miss out on some cool stuff at school today?

00:30:55 - 00:30:56 | Unknown:

Absolutely not. School sucks.

00:30:58 - 00:30:58 | Speaker 2:

Very quick.

00:30:58 - 00:31:01 | Speaker 3:

How does school suck? You're doing great.

00:31:02 - 00:31:03 | Unknown:

The kids are terrible.

00:31:03 - 00:31:13 | Speaker 1:

Because of that, we get work that we don't need, work that we already know, and that's kind of pointless. Number two, it's just, it's a block day, so we get more.

00:31:13 - 00:31:17 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it's a block day, so it's not like the full schedule today.

00:31:17 - 00:31:39 | Speaker 1:

No, so, but it's still the same time. So yesterday we had reading, social studies, and then math. But today we have science, reading, and then PE. In PE, we will go to the gym today, but we're not going to do any work today because I know for a fact that we're not because I've been in days where we've got to go to the gym.

00:31:39 - 00:31:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah. All right, well.

00:31:42 - 00:31:43 | Speaker 1:

He makes a good point.

00:31:43 - 00:31:50 | Speaker 3:

Read your Bible and I don't want your mom to be mad at me. Whatever your mom tells you you got to do, you do, okay?

00:31:51 - 00:32:02 | Speaker 2:

You got to listen to her. Hey, Joe, you got to do things you don't want to do sometimes to get where you want to go in life. It's one of those days, bro. You'll be all right. Ask your dad what time you showed up for work yesterday.

00:32:03 - 00:32:05 | Unknown:

Oh, yeah, you showed up with me, Dad.

00:32:06 - 00:32:13 | Speaker 3:

I did. You showed up at, like, 6.45. I did. Hold it against him. I love you, Joe. We love you, Joe.

00:32:14 - 00:32:14 | Unknown:

Love you.

00:32:14 - 00:32:20 | Speaker 3:

Take care, buddy. I keep banging the microphone with the thing. All right, here we go. All right, I love that.

00:32:20 - 00:32:33 | Speaker 4:

00:32:54 - 00:32:54 | Speaker 4:

00:33:57 - 00:33:57 | Speaker 4:

Good morning.

00:33:58 - 00:34:14 | Speaker 3:

Question number. I know we said a good morning three times already. Good morning. She's like, good morning. Question number one. Kate Middleton is royally celebrating her 43rd birthday today. What is she the princess of?

00:34:16 - 00:34:17 | Speaker 4:

Oh, crap.

00:34:17 - 00:34:18 | Speaker 3:

Three seconds.

00:34:19 - 00:34:21 | Speaker 4:

I probably know it, too. I'll pass.

00:34:22 - 00:34:38 | Speaker 3:

Okay, question number two. This leave-the-door-open and accompanying singer on that Apatapatu song is single again after 13 years. He and his longtime girlfriend have broken up. Who is he?

00:34:39 - 00:34:39 | Speaker 4:

Bruno Mars.

00:34:39 - 00:34:55 | Speaker 3:

Question number three, the NFL says that they have a backup plan in the event that Monday night's playoff game between the Vikings and the Rams cannot happen at SoFi Stadium in L.A. due to the wildfires. Who is the quarterback of the Rams?

00:34:57 - 00:34:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I have no idea.

00:34:58 - 00:34:58 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:34:58 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 4:

I'll pass.

00:34:59 - 00:35:00 | Speaker 3:

All right.

00:35:00 - 00:35:27 | Speaker 5:

Question number four, this baby Kardashian sister just debuted her new podcast this week. Who is she? Kendall. And question number five, there's a story in the dirty today about certain Girl Scout cookie flavors that are being retired. One of my favorites. One that's a stain is Thin Mints. What color box do Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies come in?

00:35:28 - 00:35:29 | Speaker 2:

Green.

00:36:49 - 00:36:51 | Speaker 5:

Yes, look at this guy. He's rolls.

00:36:51 - 00:36:52 | Speaker 4:

Mo'i Weezy.

00:36:52 - 00:37:11 | Speaker 5:

And question number five. For your fifth win in a row, there's a story in the dirty in just a little bit that Shannon's going to do about Girl Scout cookie flavors that are being retired. One of them is not Thin Mints, I don't believe. That's staying. That's staying. What color box do Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies come in?

00:37:13 - 00:37:15 | Speaker 3:

Green, baby. Perfect score.

00:37:16 - 00:37:17 | Speaker 4:

Got it. Five to two.

00:37:18 - 00:37:21 | Speaker 5:

Your fifth win in a row. Congratulations.

00:37:22 - 00:37:23 | Speaker 4:

00:37:30 - 00:37:31 | Speaker 4:

Congratulations. Winning, lying. I know. Let's go Detroit, baby. This is winning city right now. All right.

00:37:38 - 00:37:39 | Speaker 4:

Nice to see you in the studio.

00:37:40 - 00:37:55 | Speaker 5:

00:37:57 - 00:38:00 | Speaker 5:

Hang on the phone for a second, and we'll get you set up with that. Hold on one second.

00:38:00 - 00:38:02 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55.

00:38:05 - 00:38:18 | Speaker 4:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning, live.

00:38:20 - 00:38:24 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to get right to the War of the Roses, Boston Cheaters here on Mojo in the Morning.

00:38:25 - 00:38:30 | Speaker 3:

Catching cheaters. And proud of it. Wow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

00:38:31 - 00:38:37 | Speaker 5:

So, Jenna, you think that your best friend's boyfriend is cheating on her.

00:38:39 - 00:38:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure.

00:38:42 - 00:38:48 | Speaker 5:

Why is it that you are thinking this? Was there something that you saw?

00:38:50 - 00:38:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I was at the *** about a weekend ago. and he was grabbing drinks with this other girl.

00:39:01 - 00:39:07 | Speaker 5:

And did he know that you were there, or did he have no clue that his girlfriend's best friend is at the bar, same bar?

00:39:09 - 00:39:48 | Speaker 2:

We have not met a ton of times. Like, we haven't hung out a lot, and I don't think he realized, like, who I was. Okay. Like, I was dressed up to go out, and I don't think he's seen me like that. So, yeah, but he was with this other girl, and it just looked kind of sketch. Did you tell your best friend? I have told her, yeah. She's kind of a little bit, I don't know, like, I'm not, I believe I know what I saw, but she's kind of not sure, and I get it, but. When you said sketch, what does sketch mean?

00:39:48 - 00:39:49 | Speaker 1:

Like, what were they doing?

00:39:51 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 2:

He was, you know, he was kind of far away, but he like it really looked like he was like robbing this girl's back and when he paid because

00:40:00 - 00:40:06 | Speaker 4:

I was up at the bar when he paid, and so I did see that he didn't pay with a credit card. It was a hotel key card.

00:40:09 - 00:40:34 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Well, of course, it's a bar that's in that hotel. So I was going to ask the question just so that the listeners get in on this and know what's going on. Here you are, the best friend. Why do you care so much? Well, you care so much because obviously this is your friend, But you also, you told her about wanting to do this War of the Roses and said that you wanted her to be on with us. And she was okay with this. She agreed to do this.

00:40:36 - 00:40:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, she's, you know, like, I think she's doing it more for me because I don't think she's as suspicious.

00:40:43 - 00:40:49 | Speaker 1:

So she doesn't believe you? Hold on, let's ask her that question. She's on the phone with us right now. Nadia, are you there?

00:40:52 - 00:40:53 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:40:53 - 00:40:56 | Speaker 1:

Nadia, you're okay with being on the radio with Mojo in the morning?

00:40:57 - 00:40:58 | Unknown:

Sure.

00:40:58 - 00:41:21 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so Jenna was just telling us what's going on. Nadia, she told us about your boyfriend and talked about seeing him at the bar. You don't believe what she saw was anything suspicious or cheating? No. Have you said anything to him about... No. You have not... Why? Why have you not said anything to him?

00:41:22 - 00:41:23 | Speaker 4:

I trust him.

00:41:24 - 00:41:31 | Speaker 1:

Okay, but you must not fully trust him if you wanted us to do the War of the Roses or allowing Jenna to want to do the War of the Roses.

00:41:33 - 00:41:35 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I trust her, too.

00:41:36 - 00:41:44 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Are you wanting to do this more so to prove to Jenna that it's nothing going on here?

00:41:45 - 00:41:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. But she saw him rubbing her back.

00:41:50 - 00:41:57 | Speaker 4:

i'm you know i don't know i i don't think it was anything so you think it was just something

00:41:57 - 00:42:32 | Speaker 1:

innocent yeah okay uh for those that are listening to this there are obviously consents that we have to do in order to do war of the roses we have to obviously get the consent of both of you guys to want to do this um we're going to call him up to see where he's going to send a dozen free roses and this is going to be a test of your relationship because if he sends the flowers to you or sends them to somebody that's not a girl that he's cheating with, you know that he's also going to now know that your friend thinks that he's a cheater.

00:42:36 - 00:42:38 | Speaker 4:

I guess.

00:42:38 - 00:42:41 | Speaker 1:

And you're okay with that because you don't think that he's a cheater.

00:42:43 - 00:42:47 | Speaker 4:

We'll figure it out. I don't think he's a traitor, no.

00:42:47 - 00:43:02 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Jenna and Nadia, mute your phones so that we can make a phone call. We're hoping that the flowers go to Nadia. It's the War of the Roses on the Mojo in the Morning Show.

00:43:14 - 00:43:14 | Speaker 3:

Hello?

00:43:15 - 00:43:17 | Speaker 2:

Hi, I'm looking for Michael.

00:43:20 - 00:43:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, this is Michael.

00:43:22 - 00:43:27 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Michael. My name is Nicole. I'm calling from a brand new online floral company called rosesbloom.com. How are you doing this morning?

00:43:29 - 00:43:32 | Speaker 3:

A little busy, but I'm okay. How are you?

00:43:32 - 00:43:50 | Speaker 2:

I'm good. I'm calling with an offer for some free flowers. If you have less than a minute to answer two survey questions for me, we're going to gift you with a dozen long-stemmed red roses that can be sent to anybody in the country, anywhere in the country, completely free of charge to you, and I'm just calling to see if you'd like to take part in the free offer.

00:43:53 - 00:44:00 | Speaker 3:

Um, I, I don't remember signing up for anything like this. I mean,

00:44:01 - 00:44:03 | Speaker 2:

You didn't. You didn't. Okay.

00:44:05 - 00:44:10 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I don't have to give you any kind of credit card information or anything like that?

00:44:10 - 00:44:12 | Speaker 2:

Nothing like that. Nope. Nothing at all.

00:44:14 - 00:44:14 | Speaker 3:

Um,

00:44:14 - 00:44:16 | Speaker 2:

Just some information about where you want to send them to.

00:44:17 - 00:44:19 | Speaker 3:

I can do that. Okay.

00:44:20 - 00:44:28 | Speaker 2:

Anina, first and a last name of who you'd like these flowers to go to. And just a reminder, they are red roses, and they can go out as early as today.

00:44:29 - 00:44:32 | Speaker 3:

So what do I need to give you right now?

00:44:33 - 00:44:35 | Speaker 2:

So just a first name and a last name to start.

00:44:36 - 00:44:39 | Speaker 3:

Okay. You can send it to Kelsey.

00:44:43 - 00:44:49 | Speaker 2:

Okay. And do you happen to, do you happen to have Kelsey's phone number?

00:44:50 - 00:44:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. It is. Three, eight.

00:45:00 - 00:45:07 | Speaker 2:

Okay, and what's her relationship to you?

00:45:09 - 00:45:14 | Speaker 3:

She's my girlfriend. Is there a way to put like a note or something like that?

00:45:14 - 00:45:45 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you actually beat me to it. I'm going to record a voice memo with you. So instead of a paper card at rosesbloom.com, we let you record your own note. And then when the flowers get delivered, in this case, Kelsey will get a text message alerting her to the delivery and then she'll be able to go ahead and play what we're about to record does that make sense oh that's okay okay so i'm going to count you down and then you just say whatever you want you can make it long short it doesn't matter here we go three two one

00:45:45 - 00:45:50 | Speaker 3:

uh can't stop thinking about you

00:45:50 - 00:46:06 | Speaker 2:

okay is that it yeah i i think that sounded good okay yep um michael i also have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes are you okay with that

00:46:06 - 00:47:02 | Speaker 1:

sure that's fine and michael i'm gonna come on right now just to kind of wrap everything up and then we're gonna send these flowers off but i do need to let you know one last thing okay okay yeah uh michael i have to let you know that while you've been sending the flowers off that your girlfriend nadia has been listening into this and just heard every single word that you just said oh is is nadia your girlfriend uh yeah michael is that him gone yeah nadia do you have any idea who that is that he would say was his girlfriend

00:47:02 - 00:47:13 | Speaker 3:

no you don't sound that upset that you just heard your boyfriend sending flowers to another girl he called his girlfriend.

00:47:20 - 00:47:21 | Speaker 1:

Are you more shocked?

00:47:25 - 00:47:25 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:47:26 - 00:48:03 | Speaker 1:

I bet. Yeah, I can see that. Obviously, we don't know if that's the person that he was with with Jenna, but we almost have to assume that that was who Jenna saw him with. Uh, in that bar, Nadia, you went into this very confident that you were going to prove to Jenna that, uh, you have a guy that's not cheating on you. And you just find out that not only does he send flowers to somebody, but he calls that person his girlfriend. That's awful. How long have you guys been together?

00:48:07 - 00:48:08 | Speaker 3:

A year and a half.

00:48:09 - 00:48:09 | Unknown:

Wow.

00:48:10 - 00:48:15 | Speaker 1:

So it's been a while. And are you with him a lot? Like, do you guys spend a lot of time together?

00:48:17 - 00:48:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Where did he, was he supposed to be the time that he was at the hotel? Do you know? Like, was he supposed to be at a hotel? Was he supposed to be out? I knew that it was not.

00:48:34 - 00:48:35 | Speaker 1:

So that's what he told you?

00:48:35 - 00:48:37 | Speaker 2:

So you already knew that your friend had caught him in a lie.

00:48:39 - 00:49:28 | Speaker 1:

All right, hang on one second, okay? We'll come back. We'll talk more. This is the home of War of the Roses. We love Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses. Jenna saw her best friend's boyfriend with another woman at a pretty popular spot and told her best friend about it. Best friend, Nadia, didn't think that it was anything and thought that she was honestly just seeing nothing. We did War of the Roses to find out that she saw something. Obviously saw him cheating. Jenna?

00:49:28 - 00:49:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, hi.

00:49:29 - 00:49:35 | Speaker 1:

How hard was it for you to hear Nadia's reaction to her boyfriend cheating?

00:49:36 - 00:49:49 | Speaker 3:

um yeah real hard um she's i just i just feel bad for her like i didn't want to be right

00:49:49 - 00:49:57 | Speaker 2:

but i mean let's be real based on what you saw obviously something was going on right

00:50:00 - 00:50:07 | Speaker 5:

I mean, this isn't something that I would, like, put her through if I didn't think that it was better for her.

00:50:10 - 00:50:36 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to grab Nadia here. Nadia, you got a pretty good friend here, and I know you got a bunch of other friends, too, that have been texting us and telling us that they're here for you. With all the times that we ever run across somebody that gets cheated on, I will tell you that you always end up in a much better place in due time. I'm so sorry that you're dealing with this.

00:50:40 - 00:50:41 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:50:45 - 00:50:54 | Speaker 1:

All right. How are you feeling?

00:50:56 - 00:50:57 | Speaker 2:

Dude, I don't want to talk to you anymore. Can I go?

00:50:58 - 00:51:00 | Unknown:

Okay. All right.

00:51:01 - 00:51:04 | Speaker 5:

Do you want me to come over later? Yeah.

00:51:05 - 00:51:06 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:51:06 - 00:51:18 | Speaker 1:

All right, Jenny, I'm going to let you two guys talk without us. So hold on one sec. Where are the roses? Katie, what's happening? How are you?

00:51:20 - 00:51:23 | Speaker 5:

Oh, jeez. Katie.

00:51:25 - 00:51:27 | Speaker 1:

Yeah? Katie?

00:51:28 - 00:51:29 | Speaker 5:

Oh, hi.

00:51:29 - 00:51:31 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I thought you knew I picked you up.

00:51:31 - 00:51:33 | Speaker 5:

I was so confused. I thought you were crying.

00:51:34 - 00:51:35 | Speaker 1:

No, no, that's...

00:51:35 - 00:51:36 | Speaker 5:

No, I'm laughing. I'm laughing.

00:51:37 - 00:51:38 | Speaker 1:

What are you laughing about?

00:51:40 - 00:52:12 | Speaker 5:

Nadia's weird stance on all this. She seems... I wish I had her faith in men and confidence through all of this. I also wish I had a friend as good as Jenna, and I think I would believe her. um i have to say this is probably the first war of the roses i kind of wanted the guy to cheat just because i don't like her um she just doesn't seem like she cared at all anyways wow so you thought

00:52:12 - 00:52:17 | Speaker 1:

you thought her her attitude towards the whole thing made you go you know what i kind of hope

00:52:17 - 00:52:34 | Speaker 4:

that she's cheated on not in that way yeah well i just i started to hear her like talk to her friend like no it's i don't i don't really care and it's and she's very short and very listen and

00:52:34 - 00:52:56 | Speaker 1:

i will say this the because people are reacting to how she was towards me towards the end of the conversation just now i i get it you just find this out listen you don't want to talk and i and i'm not going to hold that against her and i'm not going to hold against her that uh and none of us will ever hold against her that she believed in him because why can you not believe in somebody

00:52:56 - 00:53:01 | Speaker 4:

that you feel like is a good person yeah but when your best friend is presenting you with that

00:53:01 - 00:53:10 | Speaker 1:

information but who knows if your best friend has uh you know ulterior motives fair that's super fair um jennifer what did you want to say it's mojo in the morning war of the roses

00:53:10 - 00:53:26 | Speaker 2:

hi i believe that um he knew that you guys are calling and he thought it was kelsey calling And so he just kept going on with it. And then the way that he was reacting, it was kind of like he was surprised it was Nadia.

00:53:27 - 00:53:36 | Speaker 1:

Really? You think that he thought it was the girl he sent the flowers to that was on the end with our show? And that he was sending her the flowers? That's interesting.

00:53:37 - 00:53:38 | Speaker 2:

I did not think about that.

00:53:38 - 00:53:39 | Speaker 1:

I did not think about that at all.

00:53:39 - 00:53:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because he was too calm and he already knew you didn't even carry her information. And then he knew that message was whack and he still was like, oh, that's good. He just wanted to get it over with. Like, he knew he was.

00:53:50 - 00:54:05 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to listen back to the podcast of that. I'm going to do that because, boy, that's a different take. Erica, where are the roses? Mojo in the morning. A best friend saw her best friend's boyfriend out cheating. What did you want to say?

00:54:06 - 00:54:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I just feel like it would have been less messy if the best friend would have just taken a picture or a video and just showed it to her. Because she seemed pretty embarrassed after she found out. So I feel like she could have gone about it a different way and still left her intact, at least with the evidence that, look, I saw you with the woman at the bar. Who is she? And then she would have not been so embarrassed today.

00:54:28 - 00:54:32 | Speaker 4:

I wonder why she didn't take a photo, because I feel like that would be my first instinct.

00:54:33 - 00:54:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, me too. Like, yeah, she may not believe your words, but if you have a picture, now you have proof.

00:54:39 - 00:54:57 | Speaker 1:

We have had that. We've had the War of the Roses where she saw him with another girl. They weren't doing anything other than they were together, but that was one of those things. I actually know somebody, a really good friend of mine's relative, was caught with another person out in public.

00:54:58 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 4:

Somebody took a photo.

00:54:59 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 1:

Somebody.

00:55:00 - 00:55:04 | Speaker 6:

He actually, like, literally called the spouse at that moment and said something. Oh, really?

00:55:04 - 00:55:06 | Speaker 1:

Get here right now.

00:55:06 - 00:55:08 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Nikki, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:55:10 - 00:55:12 | Speaker 1:

Hello. Good morning. How are you? Good morning.

00:55:13 - 00:55:13 | Speaker 6:

What's going on?

00:55:14 - 00:55:27 | Speaker 1:

I don't think that Nadia is acting weird. I think she really wanted to believe that he was not cheating. And now that she sees that he is, I think she's just more in shock and just embarrassed.

00:55:27 - 00:55:29 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that's what I kind of felt, too. I agree with you.

00:55:30 - 00:55:41 | Speaker 1:

It's like everybody is coming down on, oh, she's acting weird. No, I just think she really did not want to believe it. But I feel like her friend is a good friend for letting her know what she saw.

00:55:42 - 00:55:44 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I think Jenna actually.

00:55:44 - 00:55:45 | Speaker 1:

I feel really bad for her.

00:55:45 - 00:55:56 | Speaker 6:

I do. I do, too. Jenna actually is a pretty good friend to be able to do this. And obviously, it's nice to have somebody that you can count on now after you find this out. Kelly, what's up?

00:55:57 - 00:56:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I guess it's just a little confusing to me. They've been dating for a year and a half, and she's supposedly, like, one of her best friends, but he couldn't recognize her in a bar?

00:56:08 - 00:56:16 | Speaker 6:

Well, I don't know if he saw her. Do you think—we asked that question. Do you think that he saw her? I don't know.

00:56:16 - 00:56:22 | Speaker 5:

He probably didn't see her. I mean, when you go into a bar, you're not looking around to see who you know in there. Although if you're cheating, you might.

00:56:22 - 00:56:28 | Speaker 7:

This might be crazy, but I have, like, a best friend who's dated a guy for, like, three or four months now, and I haven't met him yet.

00:56:28 - 00:56:29 | Speaker 6:

Oh, okay.

00:56:29 - 00:56:33 | Speaker 7:

You know what I mean? Like, sometimes it's just, you don't see them that often.

00:56:34 - 00:56:45 | Speaker 6:

I find it interesting, too, that the whole touching a girl on her back like that, that to me is more romantic than it is any kind of other sign. Like, than even kissing.

00:56:46 - 00:56:51 | Speaker 2:

The location of the back, though, right? Yes. Yeah. Or the lingering touching of the back.

00:56:51 - 00:56:56 | Speaker 6:

And then paying for the drinks and paying for the drinks with a hotel thing.

00:56:56 - 00:56:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

00:56:57 - 00:57:02 | Speaker 6:

So they're obviously staying in the hotel. War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

00:57:02 - 00:57:10 | Speaker 4:

This is the home of the dirty on the 30. Throwback throwdown. Second date update. In War of the Roses, this is Mojo in the Morning.

00:57:10 - 00:57:28 | Speaker 6:

Listen to that podcast, by the way. Zach's getting that thing up there. As a matter of fact, it might have even already been posted. Zach Attack, or what do you call him? Big Zach, not the little one. Big Zach, he said it's already up. Come on, Zach. Look at this guy. Zach is fast. Not in all ways, ladies. But he's fast.

00:57:28 - 00:57:31 | Speaker 7:

How dare you? I was mid-sip of my coffee.

00:57:31 - 00:57:48 | Speaker 6:

I've heard he takes his time with other stuff. And I like that. Proud guy. Right now, when a trip to Florida, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Want to go to Fort Myers, Florida? Did you see the news story about Miami yesterday?

00:57:48 - 00:57:48 | Speaker 5:

No.

00:57:48 - 00:57:53 | Speaker 6:

Miami, Florida hit 40 degrees for the first time in like a decade yesterday. Oh, my gosh.

00:57:54 - 00:57:56 | Speaker 2:

So they're cold. Oh, my gosh. As they should. Get a taste.

00:57:56 - 00:58:01 | Speaker 7:

Get a tape. You and your perfect year-round weather. You deserve this.

00:58:01 - 00:58:08 | Speaker 5:

All those birds that flew down for the winter thinking they were getting away from the cold. Ha-ha! I hate you, birds. Oh, good for you. I love the birds.

00:58:09 - 00:58:13 | Speaker 7:

I absolutely feel this way until there's an orange shortage and orange juice becomes expensive. No, no. And then I'm like, no!

00:58:14 - 00:58:35 | Speaker 6:

And we want Visit Florida to know that we love you, Visit Florida, but we were a little salty about the fact that we're the ones dealing with the cold all the time. Thank you for giving us these trips to give away. See, qualifier number four for a trip to Fort Myers, call 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, win a $50 cash card. And then tomorrow morning, after we grab the last qualifier, we will pick the grand prize winner.

00:58:36 - 00:58:38 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:58:39 - 00:58:44 | Speaker 6:

All right, Shannon, with what's trending in the Dirty on the 30 and more on what's going on in California right now, the city is burning.

00:58:45 - 00:59:19 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Paris Hilton, John Goodman, Billy Crystal, Adam Brody, and Leighton Meester. As of this morning, the three fires that are just raging in the Pacific Palisades have led to the evacuation of more than 130,000 residents. Another half a million are without power. The L.A. County Fire Chief also reporting five people have lost their lives. And more than 2,000 structures have been destroyed, including the very famous Pacific Palisades High School. You know that backdrop from a lot of movies, including Freaky Friday. Carrie was filmed there. I mean, just many, many movies.

00:59:19 - 00:59:20 | Speaker 6:

The TV show Saved by the Bell.

00:59:21 - 00:59:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's right. Mandy Moore's home is gone. She wrote on Instagram last night, Honestly, I'm in shock and feeling numb for all so many who have lost, including my family. And just people in general, not celebrities, but everybody who lives in that area, just devastated that everything they have is just in an instant gone. Listen to this sweet 91-year-old man, 91 years old, talking about the fires.

00:59:52 - 01:00:00 | Speaker 4:

It's my whole life. Five minutes ago, I was sitting in the car by myself and I just, the tears just came over my head.

01:00:00 - 01:00:09 | Speaker 1:

face so entire history is in the house I'm okay I'll be okay I'm tough and

01:00:09 - 01:00:35 | Speaker 3:

even though I'm 91 years old my entire history is in that house by the way the NFL says they are continuing to prepare as if Monday night's playoff game will happen at SoFi Stadium in LA however the league says they do have a backup plan an alternate site in that State Farm Stadium in Glendale Arizona in the event that they are forced to move the game because of the wildfires. ESPN's Adam Schefter talking about this last night.

01:00:35 - 01:00:57 | Speaker 2:

There are no plans to move that game, but it's early in the week, and that game is still five days away, and this is such a potent fire. Let's see what happens. The NFL said today it is monitoring events, just like the NBA is monitoring events there for NBA games in California and the Los Angeles area as well. And the NFL will be doing the same exact thing.

01:00:58 - 01:01:00 | Speaker 5:

Don't some of the players live in the areas that are burning down?

01:01:01 - 01:01:27 | Speaker 6:

There are players, yeah, that are in the areas. And I think, honestly, the fans. You can't ask season ticket holders who just lost their homes. But I also think the NFL is interesting that they go on. They don't want to say, you know what, we'll postpone it. Their schedule goes on. They've done this with snowstorms. They've done it with other tragedies. I think that there was another weather event that took place where they moved the game. Remember, Detroit got a game. The Buffalo Bills game.

01:01:28 - 01:01:38 | Speaker 5:

And I'm wondering, though, if it's worse to say, now we need you to travel to go to this game for the season ticket holders. Because then it's like not everybody can afford that, and I just lost my home. Especially not now.

01:01:39 - 01:01:50 | Speaker 6:

In Detroit, when we got that game with Buffalo, and we also got a Vikings game, I think at one point, but it might have been a regular season game, I think that they just gave the tickets to the fans locally. So the Arizona fans are probably going to get them.

01:01:50 - 01:01:57 | Speaker 3:

Lots of other things postponed, like truly postponed. We'll get into that next hour. But there have been a whole plethora of events that are happening.

01:01:57 - 01:02:30 | Speaker 6:

You know this person, but Brett Dummler, who is one of our record rep friends, he and his son lost their entire home, lost everything. And I saw Scott Sands, the great Scott Sands, we love you, Scott Sands. I saw him post in Tony Cole's, our great Tony Cole's post, a GoFundMe for Brett because they lost everything. He was actually, he's a record rep that represents a ton of radio artists that we play. And he was on the road and his son was home. Jesus.

01:02:31 - 01:03:13 | Speaker 3:

In Other Dirty This Morning, actress Jessica Alba is divorcing Cash Warren, her husband of 16 years. And I had heard some whispers that they had recently separated. I don't know why, by the way. I don't know the reason. But both have not been wearing wedding rings as of late. They did spend Thanksgiving together with their three kids in Puerto Vallarta. And then last week, she and Warren also celebrated their youngest child's New Year's Eve birthday together at Universal Studios. But it is over. She desperately tried to keep the spark alive. From what I've been told, it just didn't work. Teddy Swims and his partner, musician, I think, do you pronounce her name, Raish? Raish, right? I don't know how to pronounce her name. My apologies. But they announced they're having a baby. I know. He's going to be a dad.

01:03:14 - 01:03:15 | Speaker 1:

The swimmers have been swimming.

01:03:15 - 01:03:27 | Speaker 3:

They shared that news yesterday on Instagram. She looks so cute. Oh, my God. There's photos of them at the beach, and she has this cute little baby bump in full view. So congratulations to them. That's amazing news.

01:03:27 - 01:03:30 | Speaker 6:

Teddy, Teddy, Teddy. We love him. Our little Teddy.

01:03:31 - 01:03:32 | Speaker 3:

And it is.

01:03:32 - 01:03:36 | Speaker 6:

Hey, it's Teddy Swims, and I'm hanging out with Mojo in the morning. Thank you.

01:03:36 - 01:04:19 | Speaker 3:

Okay, Rach. It is Girl Scout cookie time. We are about to be in full swing in our house. Although Lucy's going to kill me because I keep forgetting to make her link live. I will do that today. Anyway, if you are a fan of two particular cookie flavors, stack up because they are going to be retired after this cookie season. S'mores. My favorite. No, s'mores is so mid. Depends on which version you get. Criped. S'mores and Toast Yay cookies, the French toast ones. They're going away following the 2025 cookie sales, much like Raspberry Rally's were removed following sales the year before last. So if you like s'mores, if you like Toastier, get them now.

01:04:20 - 01:04:32 | Speaker 4:

That's it. Hey. I like tagging one of the best, actually.

01:04:33 - 01:04:40 | Speaker 3:

I like some of the ones. Red box. Purple box. Oh, I'm not ready for these cookies to overtake my life.

01:04:45 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 6:

you i've been told by uh chelsea that i am not allowed to buy girl scout cookies just make donations because we'll take your donation we're both watching our weight taking you know taking some shots and jabs and all the rest of that stuff and plus i got a gluten allergy and the

01:05:00 - 01:05:02 | Speaker 1:

gluten-free Girl Scout cookies below.

01:05:02 - 01:05:05 | Speaker 4:

Who makes good gluten-free cookies?

01:05:05 - 01:05:10 | Speaker 1:

Who makes good gluten? You, Madeline. Yeah, you too. Our Girl Scout of the show.

01:05:11 - 01:05:24 | Speaker 4:

Wait, your husband works down in Florida, but you live here?

Yes. Yes, he comes back and forth.

01:06:17 - 01:06:21 | Speaker 1:

Man, oh, man. Wow. Does that make for a tough marriage or a good marriage?

01:06:22 - 01:06:29 | Speaker 2:

You know, we're used to it now. It's going on six years. What part of Florida is he? He's in Naples.

01:06:29 - 01:06:30 | Speaker 1:

Are you sure he doesn't have a girlfriend?

01:06:31 - 01:06:32 | Speaker 2:

Don't say that. Are we sure?

01:06:33 - 01:06:41 | Speaker 1:

I'm just wondering. Are we sure? Are we sure he doesn't have somebody else down there? I'll do a War of the Roses on his son of a bitch.

01:06:41 - 01:06:45 | Speaker 5:

No, but if you win, you shouldn't tell him that you're coming. You should just surprise him. Yeah, just surprise him.

01:06:45 - 01:06:46 | Speaker 2:

Here you go.

01:06:46 - 01:06:47 | Speaker 1:

01:06:47 - 01:06:49 | Speaker 2:

It might be a different spin on War of the Roses.

I'm going to title this topic Karma, but not with a K with a C as in your car ma okay um had a uh had an incident happen and I by the way will say this if you've never been to Detroit I want you if you listen in Grand Rapids Toledo or anywhere around the world to never come here and drive the lodge okay don't say that you come to detroit but you don't ever drive the lodge i agree it is m10 the lodge is

01:08:52 - 01:09:00 | Speaker 5:

the worst road in the history of roads and 696 they're both 696 takes the cake the lodge is

01:09:00 - 01:09:22 | Speaker 1:

crazy first off y'all crazy let me tell you listen mr detroit every i'm i'm mr detroit and i'm telling you i like everything about detroit but i hate the lodge i love a lot the lodge is my freeway I take the Lodge over any other freeway. You know why I don't like it? Because the speed limit says... Does it make sense? The speed limit says 55, and everybody's driving 105, and I drive 65, and it's slow.

01:09:23 - 01:09:31 | Speaker 6:

And I saw somebody on one of those, like, Lime scooters on the Lodge one day in a lane. Like, it is the wildest expressway.

01:09:31 - 01:09:35 | Speaker 1:

If you live off the Lodge, you must be crazy, because you do see crazy stuff there, like toilets and things.

01:09:35 - 01:09:43 | Speaker 3:

How is the speed limit 55 on a highway? Now, let me tell you. Same thing for the Southfield Freeway, by the way. How is it 55? It makes no sense.

01:09:43 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, when I moved to Detroit, I moved to downtown Detroit. And for the first year that I lived here, we worked in Farmington Hills. I took the lodge every day to and from work. And then if I ran any errands, like the lodge is really the road I take the most. It was so confusing to me how everybody was so angry at me for driving.

01:10:00 - 01:10:12 | Speaker 3:

60 on the lodge and people will flip you off they'll swerve at you it is terrifying to not be from here and not know that the speed limit truly is 80 on a road that's mark 55 yeah it

01:10:12 - 01:10:26 | Speaker 4:

doesn't take you long to get it i feel like every but it's dangerous i feel like every freeway is like that no that's a michigan thing well everything in michigan name me a freeway y'all talking about 6 96 75 where everybody's going with the speed limit says well it doesn't happen

01:10:26 - 01:10:28 | Speaker 5:

You can go 10 over. You can't go 35 over.

01:10:28 - 01:10:40 | Speaker 3:

But it's what cracks me up about Michiganders visiting Ohio. Every one of them are like, I got a ticket in Ohio. Because y'all are going 30 miles over the speed limit because it's normal in Michigan. And y'all don't get ticketed. And it's enforced in Ohio.

01:10:40 - 01:12:03 | Speaker 5:

All right. Let me explain my karma topic here for a second. No, this is good. This is good, though. I like that we're all venting and we all have opinions on the show. Here's the karma one. you ever have it happen where somebody is a jerk off on the roads and karma c-a-r or k-a-r catches up to them driving down the lodge it's snowing okay so it's kind of rough it's a little bit slippery um and guy driving a pickup truck driving like a maniac a bat out of freaking hell and he's getting upset because he got behind me and then the car next to me was going off on the next exit there right by UD and he just decides that he's going to get pissed at me and he comes up like past me Hemi engines his ass past me starts driving and I'm like geez that guy what's going on I look at him he looks you know kind of like angry and stuff about I don't even know six miles or so up the road that sumbitch is right there boom smacked right into Yep. Wow. Guy ended up sliding off the side of the road, and I'm like, I hate, I don't want to see anybody get hurt. I think he was okay. I don't know. But that is karma, buddy. Yeah, it is. Is that not the greatest? To see that happen? No, it's not the greatest. I love it. No, because you can't, well, it's because you drive a pickup truck like a crazy woman, too, don't you? I do.

01:12:03 - 01:12:04 | Speaker 4:

I can't drive.

01:12:04 - 01:12:07 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. And Kevin, Kevin, remember, just got in that accident.

01:12:07 - 01:12:08 | Speaker 4:

That wasn't my fault, though.

01:12:09 - 01:12:10 | Speaker 5:

Okay. Well, you tell the police.

01:12:10 - 01:12:26 | Speaker 2:

I hate it when people, like, weave or do that or speed and weave or tail you because you're going, like, around the speed limit. No, get your ass in the right lane. I always, always, always am like, please get pulled over. When they, like, zoom in front of you, I'm like, get pulled over.

01:12:26 - 01:12:34 | Speaker 3:

I will say that's the best part about moving to Michigan. Y'all know how to use a left lane and get out of it. I love that. Ohio people camp, and that's terrible.

01:12:35 - 01:12:41 | Speaker 4:

Those are the rules. Because I've been the person that, all right, the left lane. And y'all told me, I learned this on the show, that left lane, you're not supposed to stay in the lane. No.

01:12:41 - 01:12:42 | Speaker 3:

It's just for passing. Yeah.

01:12:43 - 01:12:56 | Speaker 4:

So in my mind, the further to the right you are, that's for the slow people. And then as you go to the left, you gradually get faster. And to get off on an exit. So if you're going slow, if you don't like it, then you should be all the way in the right lane. Correct. And then you're in an acceptable lane.

01:12:56 - 01:13:02 | Speaker 3:

But in Ohio, everybody will drive 60 in every lane, even though the speed limit is 65. Thanks. Hell no.

01:13:02 - 01:13:08 | Speaker 2:

The people I'm talking about, Kev, though, this is any lane. and it is still not freaking fast enough for them.

01:13:09 - 01:13:10 | Speaker 4:

I feel you. You know?

01:13:10 - 01:13:30 | Speaker 5:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Try not to text because you're driving, I'm sure, but if you do text 95500, we'll call you back. We want to hear your karma stories, the karma situation that you have. Hold on. You've heard of Jay-Z. We got JT on the phone with us right now. What's going on, JT?

01:13:30 - 01:13:32 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Good morning.

01:13:33 - 01:13:33 | Speaker 5:

How are you?

01:13:34 - 01:13:38 | Speaker 1:

I'm doing fine. on my way to take my daughter to school. We listen to you guys every morning.

01:13:38 - 01:13:40 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Hello.

01:13:40 - 01:13:41 | Speaker 1:

Hey. Hi.

01:13:42 - 01:13:43 | Speaker 5:

Hi. What's your name?

01:13:44 - 01:13:45 | Speaker 1:

Her name is Kenley.

01:13:45 - 01:13:50 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Kenley. How are you? It's Mojo and Shannon, Megan, Kev, KP, Lydia, and Zach.

01:13:50 - 01:13:51 | Speaker 1:

Hi.

01:13:51 - 01:13:54 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Have a good day at school. What's going on? What do you want to say, JT?

01:13:55 - 01:13:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, the craziest freeway is 275.

01:13:57 - 01:13:59 | Speaker 5:

Well, that is nuts, too.

01:13:59 - 01:14:07 | Speaker 1:

Yes. They speed. They won't let you over. I'm like, oh, my God. It's dangerous. I hate to say it bad. I dream whenever I have to drive on it.

01:14:07 - 01:14:18 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's a rough one, too. I have a friend of mine that lives in Oakland County and drives to the airport taking side roads the whole way. I'm like, what does it take you, 18 hours because you can't get on 275?

01:14:19 - 01:14:20 | Speaker 1:

Because it's crazy.

01:14:20 - 01:14:26 | Speaker 5:

It's nuts. We love you guys. Kenley, have a good day at school. Thanks, too. Appreciate it. What's up, Sarah? Hi.

01:14:27 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 6:

Hey, good morning, guys. Morning. so i um i used to work for an ambulance service and one of the things that i've heard like a lot of dispatchers say and also like cops is that the more likely that you are to slam on your brakes just because you see a cop sitting there you're just gonna you're increasing your chances of getting pulled over because you know that you're doing the wrong so i like my dad slams on the brakes all the time when we're driving down to monroe and like i laugh because i'm like you're you're more likely to

01:15:00 - 01:15:07 | Speaker 5:

get pulled over because you know that you're doing something wrong well that's why i put everything

01:15:07 - 01:15:22 | Speaker 2:

in my uh gps ways because it usually gives me a cop warning yeah on there so i know kind of ahead of time but you're right i think cops kind of have an idea that you're when you're pushing the brakes on that uh that things are nuts you just tap it though you don't you're not supposed to

01:15:22 - 01:16:02 | Speaker 4:

slam on the brakes what's up kia hi everyone good morning good morning kia's got a karma story for us what happened yes it literally just happened like a couple of days ago i was on my way to pick my daughter from school and right there at menards on plymouth and middle belt this lady just came out of the parking lot and almost hit me and lavonia followed her for a mile and pulled her over oh i love it that's when you want to cop around right one of those moments exactly when i want to cop around because i literally just said it like where's the police when you need them

01:16:02 - 01:16:10 | Speaker 2:

that's awesome hey thank you for the call kyle what's up it's mojo in the morning

01:16:10 - 01:16:32 | Speaker 1:

hey you guys were warning people about the lodge um i'm from ohio and you gotta warn people about michigan less yeah because oh man the first time i moved up here i don't remember where i was i I think somewhere over maybe by the zoo, there's a Michigan left, and I slammed on my brakes. I'm like, this is the wrong side of the road. What are we doing?

01:16:33 - 01:16:44 | Speaker 7:

Yes, and they're not. Okay, you have to back me up on this one because the last time we talked about it, nobody from Ohio called in. None of the roads in Michigan are marked. So if you don't grow up here, it's very confusing.

01:16:44 - 01:16:47 | Speaker 2:

I like when they put the markings on the road.

01:16:47 - 01:16:58 | Speaker 8:

So do I, especially when you're about to maybe go from 275 to M5. I like knowing which lane I'm supposed to be in because I get really confused.

01:16:58 - 01:17:00 | Speaker 2:

Veronica, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. You got a karma story for us?

01:17:00 - 01:17:02 | Speaker 7:

Oh, I see how I'm up on him when I want to back up.

01:17:02 - 01:17:02 | Speaker 5:

I know.

01:17:03 - 01:17:05 | Speaker 2:

He's from Ohio. I have to. What's going on? Hi.

01:17:07 - 01:17:08 | Speaker 5:

Hi, how are you?

01:17:08 - 01:17:09 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's going on?

01:17:10 - 01:17:25 | Speaker 5:

So I'm actually on my way to work right now, and there's a car tailing me pretty close behind, so I decided to slow down a little bit. And then the car in the middle lane noticed, so they kind of slowed down with me, and we're They're both just, like, laughing. That's right.

01:17:25 - 01:17:29 | Speaker 2:

What kind of car is it? Let's talk to them over the air right now. What kind of car are they driving?

01:17:29 - 01:17:33 | Speaker 5:

Oh, you know, it's a big old F-150. Of course. Oh, yeah.

01:17:34 - 01:17:36 | Speaker 2:

That's a guy with a small little wiener.

01:17:37 - 01:17:38 | Speaker 5:

There he is. Angry boy.

01:17:39 - 01:17:39 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:17:40 - 01:17:41 | Speaker 5:

He got a little wiener.

01:17:41 - 01:17:50 | Speaker 2:

Angry boy. Yeah. You have a little penis. Well, sorry about that, that you're dealing with this. Hey, get off her ass. Your attention, please.

01:17:50 - 01:17:54 | Speaker 5:

I'm running a little late, too, so hopefully I don't get in trouble, but it's all good.

01:17:54 - 01:17:57 | Speaker 2:

All right. Be safe out there. Sarah, last call. What's up?

01:17:58 - 01:18:50 | Speaker 6:

Hi. I was just telling Lydia about how back in, like, 2011, because my daughter was still in an infant seat, me and my brother were coming back from Micro Center, and I live out in Belleville, and this guy, the roads were horrible this, like, January, February, and this guy comes speeding down the snow-covered lane and my brother goes up that's gonna be an accident this f or this uh yeah don't say it was like an explorer okay i think you're a square yeah no this like ford explorer comes passing us in the snow-covered left lane and ended up just going right into the media oh no that's and then we passed it my brother goes yep called that one

01:18:50 - 01:19:04 | Speaker 2:

yeah a little karma i got more calls i gotta take i can't stop this by the way so good brian what's up hey are you there yeah brian i'm right here what happened first time long time

01:19:04 - 01:19:25 | Speaker 3:

All right. Brian's on the phone. Yeah, so I was about to get on I-75 by where the palace used to be, and this guy cut me off. So when I drove by him, I gave him the thumbs up, like, good job. So he rolled his window down and stuck his head out to yell at me, and his hat and his sunglasses flew right off his face.

01:19:28 - 01:19:31 | Speaker 7:

I would be so mad. Now that's karma.

01:19:31 - 01:19:38 | Speaker 3:

The best part, though, is that entrance ramp loops back around under the bridge.

01:19:38 - 01:19:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:19:38 - 01:19:46 | Speaker 3:

So when I got on I-75, I saw him walking back on the bridge. Oh, my God. I laid on the horn and let him know.

01:19:47 - 01:19:49 | Speaker 2:

I love it. That's awesome.

01:19:49 - 01:19:54 | Speaker 3:

Traffic is a blessing and a curse. It makes you late to work, but that's less time you have to spend at work.

01:19:55 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 2:

This is Mojo in the Morning. All right, it is Mojo in the Morning.

01:20:00 - 01:20:03 | Speaker 1:

Megan, with this topic, I have to ask you, do you have a will?

01:20:04 - 01:20:05 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

01:20:05 - 01:20:05 | Speaker 1:

You do?

01:20:06 - 01:20:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:20:07 - 01:20:10 | Speaker 1:

Is it like an official will? I got family issues.

01:20:10 - 01:20:11 | Speaker 3:

Really? Yeah.

01:20:13 - 01:20:14 | Speaker 1:

Any of us in your will?

01:20:15 - 01:20:20 | Speaker 3:

Absolutely not. Why? No. Really? You know what y'all get? A picture of my middle finger.

01:20:20 - 01:20:23 | Speaker 2:

That doesn't mean I love you. I just want your couch. Can I have your couch?

01:20:23 - 01:20:32 | Speaker 3:

You know what? I'll rewrite my will. Wait, wait, wait. Real quick before I do this topic. I will give you the couch. Thank you. My brother will be so mad. I don't care. That's funny to me. What else do you guys want?

01:20:33 - 01:20:38 | Speaker 1:

I want Coraline because I love Coraline so much. My brother would murder you.

01:20:38 - 01:20:47 | Speaker 3:

I want your baking how-to, like your recipes. I call it my Bible. It's huge. I'll show you what cabinet it's in. I have a huge Bible. I call it.

01:20:49 - 01:20:51 | Speaker 1:

Zach just called Scott Mick. He wants your dad.

01:20:52 - 01:20:56 | Speaker 3:

He would take you to Harvey. He loves you. Anything else? Anything else?

01:20:56 - 01:21:07 | Speaker 1:

Well, to be quite honest with you, my fear is if you ever put any of us in your will, that will would have to be changed like every month or so, depending on how you felt about it.

01:21:08 - 01:22:53 | Speaker 3:

It should make it easier to change the wills. Like if I'm mad at you based on a text you sent without the proper like emoji. You're out of my will. You didn't like respond fast enough. Like I just docked you 15%. Text back, bitch. I probably would text people back if money depended on it. um anyways talking about wills one of my uh girlfriends her uncle died recently we were talking about this and she was saying how they were going over the well he had been cremated and um i was like this is a weird conversation to bring up but it leads to a weird situation where it started pretty normal like i want some of my ass just dropped off at uh the cabin that he kind of grew up on on the lake or whatever and some other really sentimental places to him and then the last one on the list they're like getting crazier and crazier but the last one was i need some of my ashes sprinkled on my enemy's lawn so that i can haunt them for the rest of time and i thought that's the kind of petty i would like to be and i it got me thinking about random things because my brother has requests is what i will say he tried to get this legally put into a will and the lawyer said that's a crime but he does not want to be cremated he does not want to be buried i swear to god if my brother dies i have no idea what to do with his body i don't know what he genuinely wants because the only answer he's ever given me is we'll just put me into a wood chipper i go that's a crime that you can't that you can't do that to a body that i go to jail i'm not going to go to jail for you he's like you know i want he was like i want like fireworks or confetti cannons and just wood chipper me into a lake i'm like super big crime why can't you just put his ashes in a lake why the wood chipper he doesn't want to burn he doesn't want to burn and he doesn't want to be buried but he wants to be chopped up i don't get it either

01:22:53 - 01:23:06 | Speaker 1:

by the way the two ways that we dispose of bodies to me are horrible i hate it who who would want to be buried alive okay or burned alive right i understand that you're dead but can't they come

01:23:06 - 01:23:12 | Speaker 3:

up with a better way of doing this do you want to be eaten by worms or do you want to be burned

01:23:12 - 01:23:16 | Speaker 2:

you're not going to be eaten by worms by the way most times now they put you in like a like a

01:23:16 - 01:23:30 | Speaker 3:

metal box i'm sorry i just saw a video of the the notre dame cathedral and all of the bodies they found under that building they were in iron boxes and eaten by really so there were worms got

01:23:30 - 01:23:35 | Speaker 2:

in there well i don't want to be buried i think that that's super strange burn baby burn okay so

01:23:35 - 01:23:40 | Speaker 1:

is the topic here the craziest thing in your will or what would be the funniest thing in your will

01:23:40 - 01:23:45 | Speaker 3:

just like random things that happen when somebody dot like the will stuff yeah yeah 844 mojo live

01:23:45 - 01:24:30 | Speaker 1:

844-665-6548 is our telephone number text 95500 i think that the when chelsea and i did our which by the way we got to redo it because we did our will so long ago and when we did our did our will we're sitting there the entire time and and we're both having to make decisions like who takes care of the kids and stuff and we're trying to like figure out who's the responsible person that yeah that you know that's in the family but then we're also deciding like who gets what and we just recently decided we have spent so much money differently on each of our kids and i the older kids get more money spent on them because of they've been around longer yeah so i said to chelsea i go if we die luke should get majority of the money because he's had less time

01:24:30 - 01:24:34 | Speaker 2:

with us and then he also doesn't have a job or anything yeah where he could be making his own

01:24:34 - 01:25:01 | Speaker 1:

money right and then we started having the conversation about jacobs cost us the most money because the kid just keeps going to school and he's you know being a doctor and all this stuff and so i'm like sitting there going all right he's pretty but then could you imagine them sitting there what's the movie where they read the will and everybody was fighting oh i want that so bad what was that movie that was a great movie and everybody's wondering who killed uh glass not glass on you no like knives out yeah and like i want it to be read and

01:25:00 - 01:25:07 | Speaker 5:

by some old dude with like a deep voice and I want him to read it and go, your parents have left you nothing.

01:25:08 - 01:25:09 | Speaker 6:

That's a dream of mine too.

01:25:09 - 01:25:11 | Speaker 7:

Now, this isn't in my father's role.

01:25:11 - 01:25:13 | Speaker 5:

So you have a will where you leave nothing or what?

01:25:13 - 01:25:21 | Speaker 6:

To be in someone's will. Yeah, be in someone's will and have it read in that way. Really? That would be incredible. Rich. By the way, if you got a meeting for your will,

01:25:21 - 01:25:23 | Speaker 7:

rich, you're getting some money.

01:25:24 - 01:25:29 | Speaker 5:

Hold on, Jeannie. Jeannie, you okay? You take care of that thing. I have that too.

01:25:29 - 01:25:33 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. Good morning, Mojo. Good morning, everybody. Good morning.

01:25:33 - 01:25:34 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Jeannie.

01:25:35 - 01:25:46 | Speaker 8:

So I have to tell you, my husband would like to, I want to be cremated. He would like to stuff me, put me in a corner, and put my arms out and use me as a coat rack.

01:25:46 - 01:25:47 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

01:25:48 - 01:26:01 | Speaker 2:

Can I tell you something? West Fest, he wants to be bronzed. Same thing, as in like a statue in a pose so that people can like take picture. I don't know. But it's the same thing. Why have you thought about that?

01:26:01 - 01:26:02 | Speaker 8:

It's not legal.

01:26:03 - 01:26:04 | Speaker 2:

That's just crazy.

01:26:05 - 01:26:08 | Speaker 5:

The whole idea of taxidermy is kind of wild.

01:26:08 - 01:26:15 | Speaker 2:

So weird. Like, people do it for their, like, cats and dogs. That is strange. By the way, it's just the skin. It's just the skin.

01:26:16 - 01:26:20 | Speaker 5:

That is so weird. Hold on. Carrie, what does your dad want to do when he dies?

01:26:21 - 01:26:36 | Speaker 10:

Yeah, first time, long time. Hey, Carrie's on the phone. So, my dad is very serious about this. I think it's actually a thing. He must know this is a thing because he's dead serious. He wants to be freeze-dried and shot into space.

01:26:38 - 01:26:39 | Speaker 3:

Shot into space?

01:26:39 - 01:26:45 | Speaker 10:

So now I'm about to Google that to see if that's actually a thing. That can't be a thing. I have to do it.

01:26:46 - 01:26:49 | Speaker 5:

That's awesome. How do you shoot somebody into space? Shoot them off.

01:26:49 - 01:26:49 | Speaker 9:

Money.

01:26:51 - 01:26:53 | Speaker 5:

Courtney, what's going on, Courtney?

01:26:53 - 01:27:04 | Speaker 9:

Hi, my husband jokes with me that he wants to be buried with a tree, so then he would be part of a tree, and we could always go visit him. He's weird.

01:27:04 - 01:27:06 | Speaker 7:

No, that's not weird. Tree pods are a thing.

01:27:06 - 01:27:07 | Speaker 9:

Yeah.

01:27:07 - 01:27:08 | Speaker 7:

I think it's weird.

01:27:09 - 01:27:10 | Speaker 5:

I think that's actually kind of cool. It's really cool.

01:27:10 - 01:27:21 | Speaker 7:

I think it's cool until that area gets torn down for a new subdivision, and then your brother just turns into, you know. Wood. Well, he just heard you, and he's very happy that he's right and I'm wrong.

01:27:21 - 01:27:22 | Speaker 9:

Ah, hello.

01:27:22 - 01:27:24 | Speaker 5:

Hello, Rachel, what's up?

01:27:26 - 01:27:31 | Speaker 3:

Hi, I was calling about my brother, how he wants to be disposed of when he dies.

01:27:32 - 01:27:32 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, how's that?

01:27:33 - 01:27:44 | Speaker 3:

He wants to be froze and dropped by a plane over Antarctica so people in thousands of years will find him and then they can unfreeze him and bring him back.

01:27:45 - 01:27:47 | Speaker 6:

Like a mammoth.

01:27:47 - 01:27:48 | Speaker 7:

The good old Walt Disney.

01:27:49 - 01:27:53 | Speaker 5:

It's like Ice Age, the human version. Josh, what's up? Hi.

01:27:54 - 01:28:11 | Speaker 1:

Hey, how's it going, guys? Hey, Josh, what do you want to do? Well, when I die, I want my body donated to science or medical in some way, except I want my skeleton to be preserved and put in, like, a glass case and maybe with some of my guitars or something like that. Like, I'm holding a guitar, I'm flipping somebody the bird or something, you know? Okay.

01:28:12 - 01:28:16 | Speaker 2:

You're going to end up in a human bodies exhibit, which I've been to, and those are real weird.

01:28:16 - 01:28:22 | Speaker 5:

That's not a bad idea, though, for the family to keep the skeleton and hold on to it. Yeah, like a science class.

01:28:22 - 01:28:25 | Speaker 7:

What are you going to donate if you have to remove everything for the skeleton?

01:28:26 - 01:28:26 | Speaker 4:

I don't know.

01:28:27 - 01:28:30 | Speaker 7:

Plus, by the way, look into what happens to your body when you donate it to science most of the time.

01:28:31 - 01:28:31 | Speaker 5:

Oh.

01:28:31 - 01:28:33 | Speaker 7:

It's a lot of murder research.

01:28:33 - 01:28:34 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

01:28:34 - 01:28:36 | Speaker 7:

A lot of murder research.

01:28:36 - 01:28:37 | Speaker 5:

Lindsay, what do you want to do?

01:28:40 - 01:28:48 | Speaker 11:

So when I die, I actually want, I don't want to be buried or burned. I want a Viking funeral. A what? A Viking.

01:28:48 - 01:28:51 | Speaker 5:

A Viking. What's a Viking funeral?

01:28:51 - 01:28:52 | Speaker 7:

Put you on a boat and set it on fire.

01:28:53 - 01:28:53 | Speaker 5:

Oh, really?

01:28:54 - 01:28:58 | Speaker 11:

Put you on a boat and shoot arrows at it and light you on fire and let you go. Oh, my God.

01:28:59 - 01:29:00 | Speaker 5:

Wow. Can we do that on Cast Lake?

01:29:00 - 01:29:01 | Speaker 6:

That's the worst thing I heard.

01:29:02 - 01:29:02 | Speaker 5:

I heard.

01:29:04 - 01:29:05 | Speaker 11:

Can we do that on Cast Lake?

01:29:05 - 01:29:07 | Speaker 6:

That Facebook group chat will be going off.

01:29:07 - 01:29:10 | Speaker 11:

It's actually legal in the state of Maine.

01:29:10 - 01:29:14 | Speaker 5:

Interesting. Why is it legal in Maine? I love how people check this stuff out.

01:29:14 - 01:29:15 | Speaker 4:

You have no idea.

01:29:17 - 01:29:22 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Samantha, you work for a funeral home. Do you guys get, like, crazy requests for things?

01:29:23 - 01:29:41 | Speaker 11:

So I used to be a pre-planner at a funeral home. So I would help people plan their funeral before they died. But, yeah, there was an option to get flown out to space. Or you can go down to the coral reef. I think it's somewhere off the coast of Florida.

01:29:41 - 01:29:41 | Speaker 5:

Interesting.

01:29:42 - 01:29:43 | Speaker 11:

Those are options that you can do with your ashes.

01:29:43 - 01:29:46 | Speaker 5:

I kind of like that. I like the idea of being somewhere warm.

01:29:46 - 01:29:53 | Speaker 6:

Are those the craziest things that you've been asked to complete, or are there crazier things people wanted to do?

01:29:54 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 11:

I think actually the craziest one was this guy who wanted to spend a lot of money to...

01:30:00 - 01:30:18 | Speaker 3:

go to the island of Mackinac Island. There's a cemetery on Mackinac Island where it's like, you can only get buried there if you've lived there. Can you imagine, though, being a NASA astronaut and working your whole life to be an astronaut and just knowing that in the back storage, there's like 30 bodies.

01:30:20 - 01:30:42 | Speaker 1:

By the way, have you ever noticed that the people that work at funeral homes to me always seem like they're kind of like, you ever go to a funeral like a wake or something like that? You walk in and they all look like they're deaf. Oh, no. They look decomposing. Really? Not James Cole. They look kind of like they got a little stiff. I don't know.

01:30:42 - 01:30:48 | Speaker 3:

What are they, embalming themselves? I don't know. Same. No offense to funeral people.

01:30:48 - 01:30:55 | Speaker 2:

That's a banger. Living embalming. A banger funeral, huh? For a Swanson, Cole, there's some bangers in Detroit. My hair might get buried there.

01:30:55 - 01:31:08 | Speaker 1:

My favorite stories are the news stories that come out And, you know, we haven't seen one of these in a long time, but something's happening. Where the person's funeral home, they find out that they did an investigative report, and the people, like, never got buried or whatever. Yes.

01:31:09 - 01:31:15 | Speaker 5:

Or they gave you the ashes for the wrong body, or there's still a body there. That happens all the time. Are you serious? Yes.

01:31:15 - 01:31:27 | Speaker 1:

That's happened. Not uncommon. Back in the days, like, the defenders and, you know, problem solvers and stuff like that, when the TV news stations used to do that. Oh, my God. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning.

01:31:27 - 01:31:36 | Speaker 2:

WKQI Detroit WSNX Mesquite and Grand Rapids WVTS Toledo This is Mojo in the Morning

01:31:36 - 01:31:37 | Speaker 3:

That's incredible.

01:33:27 - 01:33:30 | Speaker 3:

You sound like you're the host of a Nick show. I like it. Like right after school.

01:33:31 - 01:34:19 | Speaker 1:

This is crazy. It's nuts. But when I see these numbers sometimes that we get off of, you know, the War of the Roses and how many people love to listen to them. And thank you, by the way. If you have us not already set as one of your preferences or liking us or whatever you do on whatever the app is, I think you have to, I'm a favorite on the iHeart app. I'll do that. Go do that, and then it will auto-download to your phone. And this one is, her friend Jenna caught him. So you can go check out that War of the Roses right now on the iHeart Radio app or wherever you get podcasts. All right, it is Mojo in the Morning show. So, back in the day, back in the day of Little Shannon. Little Shannon?

01:34:19 - 01:34:22 | Speaker 5:

I've always been Little Shannon, unfortunately.

01:34:23 - 01:34:30 | Speaker 1:

Shannon never disliked a guy that had a guitar for some reason. She always dated band guys. She was the band girl.

01:34:31 - 01:34:32 | Speaker 3:

I had no idea.

01:34:32 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 5:

Were you a groupie or were you just attracted to guys in bands? uh i was attracted to guys wearing skinny jeans and uh being being in this business as well a lot a lot more so back in the day than now like bands would come in or we would be everybody would be hanging out backstage at concerts so i was just around you know yeah and always had crushes on band guys which is don't do it um but so i my my

01:35:00 - 01:36:25 | Speaker 2:

stepson kieran i love his taste in music right now because he's a senior in high school and he um he loves all of the bands that i loved back in the day when the vans warp tour was like a really big thing so like fought like he's super into fallout boy and you know all these all these bands so he's work he's always sharing like oh do you remember this band do you remember this band or the music that i can hear him playing in his bedroom is something that i used to love so i'm I'm kind of loving this genre or era of music, whatever, that he is into right now. However, he walked up the stairs, his bedroom's downstairs. He walked up the stairs the other day, and he goes, Shannon, have you ever heard of the band Reliant K? They're so good. I almost fell over because I was engaged to the lead singer of the band Reliant K. Oh, for real? For real? And he didn't know that. So he's talking to me about this band and I'm like, I got to stop him. But Wes is sitting at the kitchen table doing some work and I just see his eyes look up to see how I'm going to respond to this, this conversation. And so I stopped him and I told him not the whole story, but like a good chunk of the story. And he was like, wait, did they, did he write songs about you? Are there songs that I listened to? Oh yeah. Um, so I, and then he quickly retreated back to his bedroom. I'm like, I told Wes, I'm like, I know he's down there listening to all the songs, trying to figure out which ones.

01:36:25 - 01:36:27 | Speaker 5:

So Wes already knew this, though.

01:36:27 - 01:36:29 | Speaker 2:

Oh, God. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.

01:36:29 - 01:36:30 | Speaker 5:

We got to play some of these songs.

01:36:30 - 01:36:47 | Speaker 2:

Dude, I remember the first time I had this. Isn't that funny? My way home from work, I turned on all the songs. I was like, oh, Shannon. Yeah. But the fact that now that's like on his list of quote unquote, you know, bands that he likes, I'm like, damn it. Yeah.

01:36:47 - 01:36:51 | Speaker 4:

You dated a guy from, what was that band, Sister Hazel?

01:36:51 - 01:36:51 | Speaker 2:

Come on, I was fragile.

01:36:52 - 01:36:59 | Speaker 4:

But no, and I love that song. They actually have a lot of songs. They have that one song, All For You, All For You. Anytime that song comes on, I go,

01:36:59 - 01:37:00 | Speaker 2:

Different band, by the way.

01:37:00 - 01:37:06 | Speaker 4:

Anytime that song comes on, I go, Another song I can't like because Shannon dated one of the guys in the band.

01:37:06 - 01:37:08 | Speaker 2:

You actually met him.

01:37:08 - 01:37:25 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. You met him. I never met the ex-fiance. say uh you started on the show right after the your wedding was called off yeah which i but it's interesting because i never knew that band because the stations i was on never really played that

01:37:25 - 01:37:30 | Speaker 2:

band and that's how i met him the station i was on did play their music but i couldn't believe how

01:37:30 - 01:37:41 | Speaker 4:

many people uh when i was going to like kensington for church and stuff that were like fans of that band because they were kind of a religious rock band they were very much and i'm like that guy ain't so religious from the story she had told me.

01:37:41 - 01:37:53 | Speaker 3:

I know. Let the past be the past. That guy doesn't sound like he really cares that much about the Holy Spirit. My youth group wants to see that. Unless that's her name. He had a different hand on her.

01:37:53 - 01:37:54 | Speaker 5:

All right.

01:37:55 - 01:37:59 | Speaker 4:

So did he talk to you at all?

01:37:59 - 01:38:03 | Speaker 2:

He has not talked to me about it since. Since I said, oh, this song

01:38:03 - 01:38:09 | Speaker 5:

and this song and this song. What are you going to do when you just catch them around the house singing? Singing lyrics to songs that are about you? Sing along.

01:38:09 - 01:38:16 | Speaker 2:

I liked the band. I still like the band. I liked their songs. I'm not going to poo-poo on their songs.

01:38:16 - 01:38:25 | Speaker 4:

Do Lucy Air Smith ever ask you questions about seeing your old boyfriends? Because my kids have asked questions about, like, Chelsea and I and our dating life before.

01:38:25 - 01:38:49 | Speaker 2:

Lucy's very interested. She is now entering that phase where she's very curious about things. Or if I make a comment about an ex or something, yeah. Or, like, she's very curious specifically about, like, who I dated in high school. And I dated the same guy all through high school and college. But I think that's mainly because my mom is still best friends with his mom. So, like, he's talked about sometimes, you know? Yeah.

01:38:50 - 01:38:55 | Speaker 4:

Has Josiah ever asked you about any girl that you dated, like, in school? Yeah, for sure.

01:38:55 - 01:39:00 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I tell Josiah everything, unsolicited. I told him I was on Tinder the other day. Really? Yeah, and showed him how the app worked.

01:39:01 - 01:39:01 | Speaker 4:

Really?

01:39:01 - 01:39:05 | Speaker 5:

Really. He was asking about how I matched with Melinda, my sister. I was like, well, you want to know?

01:39:05 - 01:39:20 | Speaker 4:

Here it goes. Did you show them ever pictures? Because it's funny. Like, my kids will ask questions about the girls that I went to school with, and then they'll go. They always have to do this, too, which I think is cute. They'll always go, Mom is so much hotter. I'm like, that girl was 13 in a picture.

01:39:20 - 01:39:38 | Speaker 5:

I remember the deal. Yeah, Joe does that a lot, too. He compares everybody, but nobody looks better than his mom. He thinks his mom is the most beautiful person. I should always be that way. Side note, Warped Tour, they're coming back this year. You should go with Karen. Like, that would be a cool thing. Who's playing Warped? They don't make the announcement until January 27th. Hannah, what's going on, Hannah?

01:39:38 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God, I died. Hi, good morning, guys. Good morning. So I just moved back to Michigan after living in San Francisco for a few years. So I definitely had my phase of dating, like the professional athletes, wrestlers, band members, you name it. So I was on a date with a guy about two weeks ago. We were driving to get dinner.

01:40:00 - 01:40:06 | Speaker 7:

And suddenly, he plays a song that was written by my ex-boyfriend and his band.

01:40:07 - 01:40:07 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no.

01:40:07 - 01:40:24 | Speaker 7:

Of course, I have this, like, muscle memory. I'm like, I have a visceral reaction to him playing his song. And he's like, what's going on? What's going on? And I'm like, oh, I know this person. Okay, but no detail. No detail. Yeah.

01:40:24 - 01:40:25 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh.

01:40:26 - 01:40:27 | Speaker 7:

Well, the band.

01:40:29 - 01:40:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Would it be a band that we would know? Would we know?

01:40:33 - 01:40:47 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. So it's a band called the Mowgli's. I think they're more popular on the West Coast, but they have a song called Sanford Poole. Yeah. That was popular. We're still friends, but he doesn't need to know that.

01:40:47 - 01:40:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh.

01:40:48 - 01:40:49 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, yeah.

01:40:49 - 01:40:58 | Speaker 2:

I do think it's all based on your reaction, because if you don't say anything at all, he's obviously never going to know. But it's good that you bring it out to him and tell him about it.

01:40:58 - 01:40:58 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:40:59 - 01:41:00 | Speaker 2:

Thanks for the call. Hey, Teresa.

01:41:02 - 01:41:16 | Speaker 6:

Hi. First time, long time. Hey, Teresa. Hey, Teresa. Hey, Teresa. Hey, Teresa. Woo. So I need to know these songs, the names that he wrote for Shannon.

01:41:16 - 01:41:22 | Speaker 5:

Oh, you can send me a DM. I'm not going to say them out loud. I don't want everybody listening to them all day today. Don't promote his music. Yeah.

01:41:23 - 01:41:25 | Speaker 3:

Yes. The guy. Why?

01:41:25 - 01:41:33 | Speaker 5:

No, it's. I. Did you know what he did? Andy Baird. No, I don't want to talk. I don't want to revisit. We can revisit off the air. But DM me, I'll tell you.

01:41:33 - 01:41:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Perfect.

01:41:35 - 01:41:36 | Speaker 5:

We'll do.

01:41:36 - 01:41:40 | Speaker 2:

We'll see you. Take care of yourself. Fall Out Boy. Listen to Fall Out Boy.

01:41:41 - 01:41:42 | Speaker 1:

I love Fall Out Boy.

01:41:43 - 01:41:44 | Speaker 2:

Dance, dance. Exactly.

01:41:46 - 01:41:49 | Speaker 1:

Call us. 844-MOJO-LIVE.

01:41:50 - 01:41:53 | Speaker 2:

844-665-6548.

01:41:53 - 01:41:54 | Speaker 3:

This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:41:56 - 01:43:14 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning. so the auto show charity preview the black tie affair is happening on friday uh which by the way the auto show charity preview benefits so many local charities uh and it's such a great opportunity to kind of show off your stuff while the autos are showing off their stuff of the cool new cars kicking off the auto show which is happening in detroit at huntington place uh and we're gonna have tickets by the way to give away to the auto show and then next week we're gonna actually do a podcast live from there so it's gonna be really cool um and i'm glad that they they did this i know that we tried to do the whole let's have the auto show in june but this is the time that i think all of the big internationals like to come to detroit showing off and you couldn't ask for a better time with the lions being on fire right now like they are um but yeah people like walking through the city? You do, but you also get, you should see the, wait till you see how many people are downtown. This is the biggest event that Huntington has. But wait till you see how many people with you live in downtown. How many of these people are in restaurants, hanging out? It will make you feel like there's such a cool vibe to see Detroit.

01:43:14 - 01:43:19 | Speaker 5:

This is my very first time. I mean, I was born here. I'd never been to the auto show. I'm going for the first time tomorrow.

01:43:19 - 01:43:20 | Speaker 3:

Very cool.

01:43:20 - 01:43:21 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm excited.

01:43:21 - 01:43:27 | Speaker 2:

It's cool if you like cars. No, the charity preview, even if you don't like cars. It's cool.

01:43:27 - 01:43:32 | Speaker 5:

Well, Bo, I've never been to the charity preview. I've never been to the auto show, so I'm really excited to go for the first time.

01:43:32 - 01:43:43 | Speaker 2:

Auto show is amazing. I will say this to you as a kid that loved cars. Going to the auto show is great. You should see how many moms and dads bring their kids out to it, and the kids just love it.

01:43:43 - 01:44:03 | Speaker 3:

Bro, when I was younger, my grandma, my boyfriend, Mr. Burton, God rest his soul, he used to take us because he was heavy in the cars. There was nothing better than coming home with 10,000 books. I don't know if they still do the books from the cars. I used to go and try to collect as many books as I could and then bring them home to my grandma's floor and lay them all out and be like, I'm going to get the Navigator one day.

01:44:04 - 01:44:17 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but also, like, I have so many pictures in front of the cars, like the new models they were releasing, and I'm like, why did we take it? Why? Like, at what point were you like, one day, she's going to love this photo in front of this 2006 new Ram.

01:44:17 - 01:44:27 | Speaker 2:

my favorite my favorite is seeing the concept cars and the ideas of what they're coming up with which is so amazing so I love that

01:44:27 - 01:44:32 | Speaker 5:

my boyfriend Flo Rida's performing he's gonna run when he sees me

01:44:32 - 01:44:41 | Speaker 2:

listen to this it's Mojo in the Morning Cav has a date for this big old charity preview thing

01:44:41 - 01:44:42 | Speaker 3:

you do

01:44:42 - 01:44:44 | Speaker 2:

but has a problem too

01:44:44 - 01:44:51 | Speaker 3:

see but here's the thing you done blew it Because I wasn't going to say what the actual thing was. Because, no, it's like, I'm sorry.

01:44:52 - 01:44:54 | Speaker 1:

You didn't tell me. You didn't tell me.

01:44:54 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 3:

It's all good. So I got two dilemmas, all right? And I'll do your second so we can have that conversation.

01:45:00 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 2:

Nelly's Dilemma?

01:45:01 - 01:45:26 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Play Dilemma. No matter what you do, all I think about is... I'm not saying nobody's name. So two dilemmas. Like I said, I'll tell yours, the last one, so we can have that conversation. The first is, this is the first time I'm publicly going to be out with somebody else other than Sherelle. So there may be people who aren't aware that we're not together. So how is that going to look if I'm out with somebody else? So that'll be interesting. But whatever.

01:45:27 - 01:45:29 | Speaker 1:

But that's your truth. That's the situation.

01:45:29 - 01:46:16 | Speaker 3:

you know you're not doing anything wrong yeah i'm not doing it but you and it's my it's not my responsibility to deal with other people can't control the rumor questions and things like that but yeah you know that's out there so the thing is i um somebody been on my mind lately and i i hit her up was like hey uh what you doing friday she was like nothing what's up i'm like uh you want to be my plus one to the charity vibe she was like i would love to then i tell her you know i'm sure you got a dress whatever the fact was i'm coming black tux you know that but then i was like damn i kind of want this other girl to go so in my mind i'm like well i can't or how could i tell the first girl who already got you know it's almost got shoot it's tomorrow yes so it's not

01:46:16 - 01:46:21 | Speaker 1:

like a situation where i can kind of be like she probably has her dress shoes and clutch laid out

01:46:21 - 01:46:28 | Speaker 4:

at this point not the clutch yeah so you asked or maybe you asked somebody already yeah and now you met somebody else that you wanted to ask?

01:46:28 - 01:46:33 | Speaker 3:

I didn't meet somebody else. It just popped in my mind like, oh, this might be a better vibe for this event.

01:46:34 - 01:46:34 | Speaker 1:

It's a formal event.

01:46:35 - 01:46:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:46:35 - 01:46:36 | Speaker 1:

She probably went shopping.

01:46:36 - 01:46:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:46:37 - 01:46:39 | Speaker 1:

Okay, wait. Did you already ask the second girl?

01:46:39 - 01:46:39 | Speaker 3:

No.

01:46:40 - 01:46:46 | Speaker 1:

So you don't even know if she could go? It'd be a yes. I'll be surprised if it wouldn't. I don't think you can do that. You cannot do that.

01:46:46 - 01:46:59 | Speaker 4:

All right, you know what this reminds me of? This reminds me of when you're going to prom and you ask a girl to prom and then you find out that another girl who you like more would have gone with you to prom If you asked her, that's what you got going on right now.

01:46:59 - 01:47:04 | Speaker 1:

Well, at this point, you're going with the second girl because the first girl is probably listening and knowing that she.

01:47:04 - 01:47:11 | Speaker 3:

Because look, because I really enjoy her presence and her company. We haven't spent a bunch of time together, but that's, you know what I'm saying? She's super cool.

01:47:11 - 01:47:12 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

01:47:12 - 01:47:13 | Speaker 3:

All right. And I don't want to ruin it.

01:47:14 - 01:47:23 | Speaker 1:

Okay. So what's so much better? Like, why do you want the other girl number two? Am I making this awkward? Not making it awkward.

01:47:23 - 01:47:36 | Speaker 3:

I'm really trying to identify the reason why. And I don't want it to be because she's going through a tough time, so this would be like an escape for her to have a good vibe. Okay, that's fair. And I want to take her out anyway in a different way. Like, we didn't have lunch and stuff like that, but I want to get a different vibe.

01:47:37 - 01:47:38 | Speaker 2:

So what are you doing on Saturday? Yeah.

01:47:39 - 01:47:39 | Speaker 3:

Chilling.

01:47:39 - 01:47:41 | Speaker 2:

Take the other girl out on Saturday. Chill with her.

01:47:41 - 01:47:46 | Speaker 3:

I'm chilling with Josiah. Hold on, Leah. And we got a pissing game that day. Leah, what did you want to say to Kev?

01:47:48 - 01:47:52 | Speaker 2:

Single Kevin is a menace. What is wrong with him? What do you mean?

01:47:52 - 01:47:53 | Speaker 4:

That's great.

01:47:53 - 01:48:01 | Speaker 2:

How are you going to be like, oh, I invited some girl to come with me, but then afterwards I thought, hmm, but I do know this other. What are you doing? You already invited her.

01:48:01 - 01:48:08 | Speaker 3:

It's a vibe. That's what a vibe is. But like Mojo said, you've never had that prom moment where you make a decision. That's the bad guy.

01:48:09 - 01:48:24 | Speaker 2:

You know, that's the villain in the story, right? Where's the drop? You dick. That's you. Did you forget the girl that's, like, sitting on the stairs crying or mom's holding her saying he's not worth it? Yeah, dick. Yeah. Like, did you forget that part of the story? He's a radio host. Emma, what's up, Emma?

01:48:25 - 01:48:26 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

01:48:27 - 01:48:27 | Speaker 4:

What's going on, Emma?

01:48:28 - 01:48:31 | Speaker 2:

You should take both.

01:48:31 - 01:48:34 | Speaker 4:

Oh, God. That would be a great coming out, wouldn't it?

01:48:35 - 01:48:38 | Speaker 2:

Right, and it would make for a great radio. Yes.

01:48:38 - 01:48:39 | Speaker 4:

I like you.

01:48:39 - 01:48:42 | Speaker 3:

Angel, if you're listening, give me an extra TV. We'll see if we can make it happen.

01:48:42 - 01:49:10 | Speaker 4:

That would be amazing. By the way, here's a question. I know this has had to happen to a bunch of listeners. Have you ever asked somebody out on a date, and it doesn't even have to be a date. It could be even just ask friends to go out with you or hang out, and you wanted to change it. You thought, oh, they would be cool. And have you ever had to do it where, like, do you fake that you're not going to go now and say you're not going to go? Oh, I'm going to go. I know you're going to go. Oh, my God.

01:49:10 - 01:49:13 | Speaker 2:

You're not even laying down the lie properly, dude. I can't live in a lie.

01:49:13 - 01:49:16 | Speaker 3:

Like, I've never been to the charity thing, so I'm excited.

01:49:16 - 01:49:19 | Speaker 4:

But I'm saying, but you fake, you're not going to go. And then you just don't post any social media on it.

01:49:19 - 01:49:21 | Speaker 3:

They send pictures at these things.

01:49:21 - 01:49:57 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Oh, yeah. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Kev's got some drama going on here. That's what I'm calling it. This is like capital D. Dilemma. Kev's starting some drama. You know what? That is actually probably more truth to this whole thing. A texter here that says, Kevin, you are definitely not going with girl number one. because girl number two, this sounds like game shows. Door number two, girl number two is going to be the only one that you're going to go with. Mark actually wants to add girl number three to it. Who's that, Mark?

01:49:59 - 01:50:00 | Unknown:

Tanya.

01:50:00 - 01:50:08 | Speaker 1:

I bet she's going to be there. We should ask her. A lot of the dealers are going to be there.

01:50:09 - 01:50:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Wouldn't that be funny? Three girls.

01:50:12 - 01:50:13 | Speaker 4:

Three girls. I love Tanya.

01:50:14 - 01:50:23 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Another texter here says that Kev is screwed because he brought this up, and now he's not going to take anybody with him.

01:50:23 - 01:50:26 | Speaker 4:

See, listen, that's Mojo's fault. I was just going to say I'm going somewhere.

01:50:27 - 01:50:31 | Speaker 5:

I didn't know. In this pre-show meeting, did he say anything about not saying anything?

01:50:31 - 01:50:33 | Speaker 3:

Can I read my favorite text?

01:50:33 - 01:50:33 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:50:33 - 01:50:37 | Speaker 3:

I hope Kevin gets diarrhea at the event. I'm cursed upon you.

01:50:38 - 01:50:43 | Speaker 4:

I keep eating on me, man. What's up? India, what's up?

01:50:44 - 01:51:01 | Speaker 6:

Okay, first of all, girl number two, it takes so long to get prepared for that. Girl number two would never be able to get hair, makeup, a dress, all of that in time. And it's just wrong. You've got to go with girl number one. And I agree. She's probably not going to go with you because she's hearing this, but you've got to just stick with number one.

01:51:01 - 01:51:13 | Speaker 4:

Well, look, look, girl number two is very minimalistic. I've never seen her with, like, heavy makeup. I've seen her with dresses before. I don't know if she needs to go buy one or she can just throw one.

01:51:13 - 01:51:19 | Speaker 1:

Well, girl number one already bought one and made her makeup and hair appointment. You need a gown. Yeah. That's not something every girl has.

01:51:19 - 01:51:20 | Unknown:

Yeah. All right.

01:51:20 - 01:51:25 | Speaker 6:

Even a minimalist girl is going to, like, want to pull it together for the charity preview.

01:51:25 - 01:51:40 | Speaker 5:

Can I ask you a question real quick? Kev has been off the game for a while. This relationship that he was just in, this was a tough breakup. It took a while for him to bring it up on the air, so I don't want anybody to think he's jumping right back into something here.

01:51:40 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 4:

Appreciate that.

01:51:41 - 01:51:46 | Speaker 5:

But how fast is he going to jump into a new relationship? Because I'm going to tell you what. Oh, see, I don't think he will. You don't think so?

01:51:46 - 01:51:56 | Speaker 1:

No, I think he'll do this. I think they'll be like girl number one, girl number two, girl number two. Two girls at the same event is wild. But I don't think he's going to jump into a relationship. Yeah, I'm not.

01:51:56 - 01:52:01 | Speaker 5:

You better get sponsored by Trojan Man.

01:52:01 - 01:52:02 | Speaker 6:

We come in heavy condoms.

01:52:02 - 01:52:03 | Speaker 5:

What's up, Kristen?

01:52:05 - 01:52:09 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Kevin, please don't let us lose respect for you. You can't do that to the first girl.

01:52:10 - 01:52:14 | Speaker 4:

See that? See, I'm bringing it up. See, this is my conscience speaking. I haven't acted.

01:52:14 - 01:52:18 | Speaker 3:

No, you were looking for validation to be an alien.

01:52:18 - 01:52:20 | Speaker 4:

No, I was asking the question.

01:52:20 - 01:52:29 | Speaker 3:

No, you were hoping that all the guys would call up and be like, it's fine, dude, it's fine. That's totally, you a badass. You just told all this and you don't know what to do. And that's not what happened.

01:52:29 - 01:52:35 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Kristen, are you like a school teacher? You sound like, that sounds like something a school teacher would say. Don't let us make.

01:52:35 - 01:52:37 | Speaker 6:

No, I'm actually a nurse. Are you?

01:52:37 - 01:52:42 | Speaker 5:

Okay. Well, that was a very like motherly thing for you to call up and say, don't make us.

01:52:43 - 01:52:45 | Speaker 6:

I'm there too, so definitely.

01:52:45 - 01:52:54 | Speaker 5:

That's beautiful. Thank you. Hold on. Heather wants Kevin to be part of a Mojo in the Morning big feature that we do on the show. And what is that, Heather?

01:52:54 - 01:53:00 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. I'm sorry, Kevin. I love you, but now you sound like you need to be on Am I the A-Hole.

01:53:01 - 01:53:04 | Speaker 4:

I thought you were going to say second date update. This is not what I was going to say.

01:53:04 - 01:53:11 | Speaker 5:

No. I agree, Heather. I agree. What's up, Ashley? Hi, it's Mojo in the morning. What's going on?

01:53:12 - 01:53:20 | Speaker 7:

Hey, so I sent Kev a message, and he is totally, like, disregarded. It kind of blew me off. He wouldn't be having any problems if he was making me.

01:53:20 - 01:53:22 | Speaker 6:

What message do you think? Oh, look at that.

01:53:22 - 01:53:29 | Speaker 7:

yeah i sent you the message about being on the show like don't expose me

01:53:29 - 01:53:36 | Speaker 4:

oh that was you shooting your shot what are we i was trying to be low-key wait hold on a second

01:53:36 - 01:53:46 | Speaker 5:

that's not low-key yeah she bought you bought that actually wait wait wait hold on i gotta find out about this because i i said to him i asked him if anybody's been flirting with him

01:53:46 - 01:53:54 | Speaker 7:

or hitting on him he said no but now he's lying to me because um well clearly you have to be very direct with Kev. He doesn't know how to like

01:53:54 - 01:54:06 | Speaker 4:

read his mind. I'm not, I'm not, wait, cut this up because we ain't playing no games right now. Cut this music off. Why? I want to ask what she looks like. I want to see what she looks like. I'm going to show you. Are you here, are you here, are you here for a good time or for a long time?

01:54:08 - 01:54:12 | Speaker 7:

Um, for a long time, not a good time. You can have a good time with the girls that she's playing

01:54:12 - 01:54:18 | Speaker 4:

around with. Yeah. Oh my God. So you good if I'm out here smashing, but if we can date her, if we can see what's. Girl to girl,

01:54:18 - 01:54:28 | Speaker 2:

don't. Don't ever tell a guy. Don't ever tell a guy, I'm okay with you smashing other girls as long as you come home to me. Babe, you deserve better. He's not my man.

01:54:30 - 01:54:31 | Speaker 4:

What is happening?

01:54:31 - 01:54:33 | Speaker 7:

What is happening?

01:54:34 - 01:54:35 | Speaker 4:

Let me...

01:54:35 - 01:54:40 | Speaker 7:

No, I'm supposed to say I'm here for a good time. That's weird. No. Ew.

01:54:41 - 01:54:42 | Speaker 5:

Hold on.

01:54:42 - 01:54:42 | Speaker 7:

Am I crazy?

01:54:43 - 01:54:50 | Speaker 5:

Put her on. Am I? I'll put her on. Am I crazy? Hold on. Chris, what's up?

01:54:50 - 01:54:51 | Speaker 3:

Don't you stay out of this.

01:54:51 - 01:55:07 | Speaker 5:

Chris, what's going on? Kevin has two dates, which by the way, uh, Colleen Grant, the president of I heart. media just sent us a uh kevin we can get you multiple tickets you know what kelly's gonna

01:55:07 - 01:55:39 | Speaker 2:

be there too last year at new year's last year new year's i actually had three girls i was talking to and i was like you know what i had tickets to a nice event downtown i gotta break up with two of them or break it off with two of them before i decide and i screwed up and i didn't do it up until like the last minute so i had to do like back-to-back break it off right before new year's Two girls crying. It was a nightmare. But I'm going to tell you, I believe in what he's doing because these girls out here are looking to get their nails paid for and all types of stuff. You've got to do what you've got to do as a single man.

01:55:39 - 01:55:47 | Speaker 5:

Okay. I didn't hear a word you just said because Kevin just showed me a picture of Ashley. Let's go back to Ashley here. Ashley, where are you at?

01:55:49 - 01:55:50 | Speaker 4:

I'm here.

01:55:50 - 01:55:55 | Speaker 5:

Holy Jesus. Ashley, you could do so much better than Kevin. Here you go.

01:55:56 - 01:55:59 | Speaker 6:

That's the second person to say this. So I'm going to have to take that.

01:55:59 - 01:55:59 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:55:59 - 01:56:01 | Speaker 6:

So who else is saying that?

01:56:01 - 01:56:01 | Speaker 5:

Damn.

01:56:02 - 01:56:05 | Speaker 6:

Mike just said it. Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. Hold on.

01:56:05 - 01:56:15 | Speaker 5:

Stop for a second. Ashley number one. Are you there? You're Ashley number one, by the way. Just so you know that. You're the number one. Number one. You're the number one, Ashley. Okay. I want you to stay.

01:56:15 - 01:56:16 | Speaker 6:

I'm the only one.

01:56:16 - 01:56:41 | Speaker 5:

Well, I want you to stay right there, number one, Ashley, because I'm going to pick up another phone line here, and that would be Ashley number two. Who, Ashley number two. Hi, Kevin. Good morning. You also sent and got into Kevin's DMs? I just sent him an email. Oh, my gosh. We got a LinkedIn Bay over here, okay? Man.

01:56:41 - 01:56:45 | Speaker 2:

I just moved to Detroit, so I'm, like, new to the area.

01:56:45 - 01:56:49 | Speaker 5:

Oh, man. You say you sent me an email? Maybe what we need now is.

01:56:49 - 01:56:52 | Speaker 4:

I want it to be a little bit more professional, a little bit more serious.

01:56:52 - 01:57:03 | Speaker 5:

If you're the auto show preview people, we would just like to know, could Kev have like 25 tickets? Holy Jesus. What email you sent to Kev?

01:57:03 - 01:57:12 | Speaker 3:

I just got out of a relationship, too, so I kind of know what Kev is going through. Dude, Kev is going to look like a first grade teacher without the girls in line behind him. Holding hands.

01:57:12 - 01:57:17 | Speaker 6:

First grade teacher is going to look like a boss. What email you send it to?

01:57:18 - 01:57:23 | Speaker 2:

I'm sending it to the email that's online. I looked it up, because I'm like, oh, he's looking for a date?

01:57:23 - 01:57:28 | Speaker 6:

Hold on, ladies. I would love to go on a date. This is craziness. Send me a DM. I can't find email.

01:57:28 - 01:57:29 | Speaker 5:

This is getting out of hand.

01:57:29 - 01:57:36 | Speaker 4:

Kev, we love you with all our love. Thanks for being Kev and brightening our days. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:57:37 - 01:57:45 | Speaker 5:

You really want this drama at the auto show? Aren't they a big client, Colleen? Don't we love these guys? We want them to ever advertise with iHeartEverAgain?

01:57:45 - 01:57:49 | Speaker 6:

Kevin's going to be showing up with, like, 12 girls? Everything in love. Nothing but positive energy.

01:57:49 - 01:58:13 | Speaker 5:

01:58:14 - 01:58:24 | Speaker 4:

Long time. Me love you long time. did everybody like forget that kev doesn't even like shower every day

01:58:24 - 01:58:46 | Speaker 6:

i shower last night that's true yeah and i just bought the eucalyptus boy and put it in the shower so i'm breathing better and how many days before that see this conversation gonna keep going keep going just stay with your first question i already answered your question it was more than three but He's got four girls calling up here like, let me get with that.

01:58:46 - 01:58:47 | Speaker 5:

Corey, Corey.

01:58:47 - 01:58:55 | Speaker 4:

Four girls and he hasn't showered once this week. Corey, Corey, you sound like a hater. I'm not hating. I'm just, I got a good memory.

01:58:57 - 01:58:58 | Speaker 5:

He's a listener.

01:58:59 - 01:59:01 | Speaker 4:

Go join the mornings, Dirty on the 30.

01:59:01 - 01:59:05 | Speaker 5:

All right, we're going to get to the Dirty on the 30 right now, Shannon. What do you got trending this hour?

01:59:05 - 01:59:40 | Speaker 3:

Well, let's start off with the wildfires because that's all anybody's talking about right now. Unfortunately, the mayor of L.A., by the way, not getting any trophies or accolades for her handling of these terrifying wildfires that are causing just so much devastation in that area. In fact, total opposite. She is facing a lot of backlash and she's been largely absent from helping her people in the wake of their homes and their businesses burning. So there's that. She also just cut the fire department's funding, which horrible timing there.

01:59:41 - 02:00:12 | Speaker 1:

Do you owe citizens an apology for being absent while their homes were burning? Do you regret cutting the fire department budget by millions of dollars, Madam Mayor? Have you nothing to say today? Have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today? Elon Musk says that you're utterly incompetent. Are you considering your position? Madam Mayor, have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today who are dealing with this

02:00:12 - 02:00:33 | Speaker 2:

disaster? Governor Gavin Newsom questioned by Anderson Cooper about why he is taking or getting, I should say, so much blame placed on him for these fires, including this fact that some of the fire hydrants in the Pacific Palisades area have run out of water. What is the situation with

02:00:33 - 02:00:42 | Speaker 3:

water? Obviously in the Palisades ran out last night in the hydrants. I was trying to firefighter in this block. They left because there was no water in the hydrants here. The local folks are

02:00:42 - 02:00:51 | Speaker 5:

trying to figure that out. I mean, just when you have a system that's not dissimilar to what we've seen in other extraordinarily large-scale fires. Yeah, more than 130,000 residents have already

02:00:51 - 02:01:37 | Speaker 2:

been evacuated. Five lives have been lost. More than 2,000 structures totally gone. A couple of things. The Critics' Choice Awards set to go down on Sunday in Santa Monica. That has since been postponed. They've been rescheduled to January 26th. The Oscar nominations, which were set for the 17th, they've been pushed to Sunday the 19th. Lots of movie premieres canceled or pushed back. The fires have also impacted production on a number of TV shows, including Abbott Elementary, NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, as well as The Price is Right and some of the late night shows, excuse me, including Jimmy Kimmel Live and After Midnight. Can I ask a dumb question? Yeah. Why move the Oscar nominations? I don't, maybe it's because of where they were supposed to take place. I don't know. I thought they did it on GMA. And they're only bumping them two days.

02:01:37 - 02:02:09 | Speaker 4:

I think the reasoning is that there's no fanfare going on in LA. It's not just because the celebrity homes are burning down. It's just people in general. And I think it just looks insensitive to do it at this time. Like, I think that we don't fathom what is going on because we're obviously not there. But this is, like, horrific to see that so many people lose everything. And not just celebrities, but so many just average, everyday human beings are losing their homes, their apartments.

02:02:09 - 02:02:15 | Speaker 2:

Or business. Businesses. So many business owners. I want to be very clear. I absolutely agree with you.

02:02:15 - 02:03:23 | Speaker 4:

I know. The world did not shut down this way when Hawaii burned down. Well, can I tell you something? There's a there's a lot of people that are looking at what happened in Maui and looking at what's going on in Los Angeles. And they're saying, how is the preparedness not in effect? You know, that whole idea with Gavin Newsom and the water there, there was reservoirs that a lot of people wanted to build where they were going to, you know, have water rain off everything, you know, go into it and available so that you have you know uh an ability to be able to put out these fires he said no because it was going to hurt smelt fish you know what a smelt fish is it's like a smelt fish is like a worm fish basically it's like and then they found out years later they found out like a couple three years later that it doesn't matter and it would have saved more lives than it would saved smelt fish it's like stupid things like that it's too political and i hate to say this you got to be able to there's there's certain things that that people want you can't cut 16 million dollars to firefighters if you start cutting if you start cutting the money that you're spending to protect people whether it be protecting people you know

02:03:23 - 02:03:27 | Speaker 2:

with their lives or their things or fire yeah well that money went to the police department right

02:03:27 - 02:03:37 | Speaker 4:

no that money went to the to help the the homeless community they said the homeless camps that they had downtown which they need the money too but you can't cut everything you can't cut 16 million

02:03:37 - 02:03:41 | Speaker 2:

dollars and again the timing i mean yeah uh president-elect trump talking about the fires

02:03:41 - 02:03:52 | Speaker 5:

yesterday. The true tragedy. I know those areas very well. I have many friends living in those houses. That is a true tragedy. Nobody ever thought, I mean, virtually Beverly Hills and

02:03:52 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 2:

areas around Beverly Hills are being decimated. In Other Dirty Today, Jay-Z and his legal team are moving to dismiss the lawsuit that accuses him of raping a teenage girl. He did file a motion yesterday pointing out some impossibilities and inconsistencies in the Jane Doe accuser story about the night of the 2000 MTV VMAs, and he cites an interview that this woman shared just last month where she admitted to some inaccuracies in her story. In the new motion, Jay-Z's attorney Alex Spiro also moves to place a monetary sanction on this woman's lawyer, this Tony Busby guy that we've been hearing so much about, claiming he moved forward with this claim without even doing due diligence, like looking into the validity of it. And Tony Busby said, you know, this is BS. I'm not going to be bullied or intimidated by this new motion or Jay-Z. Bruno Mars is a single guy again. You guys, I didn't even know he was in a relationship, but he's been in a relationship with the same girl for the past 13 years. They have broken up. It seems like everything is.

02:05:00 - 02:05:26 | Speaker 5:

very amicable people were kind of coming at him on social media yesterday and she her name is jessica caban actually was showing support for bruno and their relationship um and she just said i will always be happy and celebrate him and all of his continued achievements i will always be cheering him on from afar but he's a single guy again so maybe he can take two girls or ten girls

02:05:26 - 02:05:43 | Speaker 3:

My favorite text that I just read from the post-Cav break that we just did was somebody text Kev Hefner. It's a man trying to live my life and read scriptures. Praise my son.

02:05:44 - 02:05:50 | Speaker 5:

02:05:56 - 02:06:18 | Speaker 3:

Real quick, Colleen, shout out the auto show people and stuff. Who are the great people with the auto show that we love so much? Because I know that in years past, a lot of our auto dealers and stuff put it on. I know next year, do you know next year, I think Thad Zott's the chairman of the auto show. What? Yeah. Isn't that cool? Yeah. So all the dealerships that you hear advertised on this radio station put together this auto show, which is amazing.

02:06:18 - 02:06:29 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. It's so amazing. And the people there put together such a professional show. You guys have, you've been there. It's something great for the family. Everybody needs to get down there this year, support our dealers, support our manufacturers. Let's go.

02:06:30 - 02:06:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and you know what? Can I tell you? It's cold, and it's warm inside. So it's a great place to actually get the kids the hell out of the house. And you're going to have a holiday, too, because you also have Martin Luther King. Rosie, there, Rose.

02:06:46 - 02:06:47 | Speaker 4:

I am.

02:06:47 - 02:06:49 | Speaker 3:

You're going to see Kevin Hart. Congratulations.

02:06:50 - 02:06:53 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Thank you so much.

02:06:53 - 02:06:58 | Speaker 3:

You are so welcome. We've got a pair of tickets for you. We're going to set you up with those, okay? You're going to be there on Sunday.

02:06:58 - 02:07:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Need a date? Oh, thank you so much.

02:07:03 - 02:07:08 | Speaker 3:

That's a different cab she's going to be hanging out with. Hang on the phone and we'll get you set up, all right? Don't go anywhere.

02:07:09 - 02:07:17 | Speaker 4:

Hey, what's going on? This is Kevin Hart, a.k.a. K-Hart, a.k.a. Chocolate Drop. Right now, you're listening to Mojo in the Morning. Listen to them, bitches.

02:07:17 - 02:07:51 | Speaker 3:

Charlie, Daniel, we love it. Charlie Daniels. Hey, hold on a second.

02:07:51 - 02:07:53 | Speaker 4:

Every Charlie Daniels song.

02:07:54 - 02:07:57 | Speaker 3:

We got Charlie and Daniel. Do you remember Redneck Woman? The Charlie Daniels band.

02:07:57 - 02:08:02 | Speaker 4:

Redneck Woman? No. I'm a Redneck Woman. You don't remember that song?

02:08:02 - 02:08:05 | Speaker 3:

The only Charlie Daniels song I knew was The Devil Went Down to Georgia.

02:08:05 - 02:08:06 | Speaker 4:

He was looking for his soul to show.

02:08:07 - 02:08:08 | Speaker 3:

I don't know how I'm on a hand, but I don't know.

02:08:08 - 02:08:10 | Speaker 4:

He's right behind. He's looking to make a deal.

02:08:10 - 02:08:41 | Speaker 3:

Daniel runs everything in Toledo for us at our great station, Kiss. And then Charlie runs everything over at SNX in Grand Rapids for us. So we appreciate those guys so much. We wouldn't be able to do it without them. It's Mojo in the morning. I got to tell you guys, I am, I'm just not getting it, man. I just might, I might be of just that different generation. But, you know, I think I'm a rational human being when it comes to things.

02:08:42 - 02:08:43 | Speaker 5:

Are you a rational human being or rational?

02:08:43 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 3:

I'm a rational. I am a rational human being. So I won't say who the person is because if I do, it will probably cost the radio station some money. So I'm on the phone with a client of this radio station. And they say to me, okay, well, call me back, but text me before you call. and I said okay and I go why and they said well I want you to just text me before you call and I go why would I have to text you before I call I why don't I just call you know I'm going to be doing it I said it's like 10 minutes I'm going to do it and they're like no just text me before you call and then they hung up the phone and I hung up the phone I was like kind of a little salty because I was driving so I was like you know not that I don't text and drive I do i hate to admit that and it's stupid i i don't i know that but i'm thinking isn't that doing the same thing that's like call me hang up the phone and then call me right back no he's right or she it was a she oh she's right yes so but why is she right first off

02:10:00 - 02:10:12 | Speaker 4:

First off, you sound like my son because I was having this, I got home and I was so cranky. I was telling somebody else, I was telling Jeff Sackwell on the phone the same thing. I'm like, have you ever heard of this text me before? And Jeff's like, isn't that stupid? He goes, girls will say that to me sometimes.

02:10:13 - 02:10:21 | Speaker 5:

It is the same thing as if you're going to come over and knock on the door, text or call first and say you're coming. Oh, well, I 100% agree with that.

02:10:21 - 02:10:34 | Speaker 6:

i think the text before you call though is relevant if i like i would say that to you if i needed to make sure that i was in a quiet space and away from people to talk to you

02:10:34 - 02:11:19 | Speaker 4:

but i basically was telling i was telling them 10 minutes i'm calling you right back you know 10 minutes 10 minutes and and i get the whole quiet space thing that's fine megan your analogy is wrong i just want you to know that is it because it's so good you can't it's wrong because what you said was truth i'd rather have somebody contact me before they walk over come over and just ring my doorbell correct because i want to have forewarning but you already know that that's going on i don't get it's call me old-fashioned or maybe i am have terribly you know like clearly clumsy thumbs but if i have a choice between texting or making a phone call to converse with somebody i choose to actually make the phone call and just call them that's

02:11:19 - 02:11:28 | Speaker 3:

that's fine and dandy they just want to be prepared and make sure that they're available for the conversation even if you say 10 minutes anything happen yeah that's true they just want

02:11:28 - 02:11:43 | Speaker 6:

to make sure they're available i but see i think it's unnecessary if you're giving them an exact if you said hey i'm gonna call you this afternoon then i could understand her saying okay just text before you call but you literally gave the exact amount of time i know even in those situations

02:11:43 - 02:11:49 | Speaker 3:

I've had moments to where it's been a job. Like somebody was calling me for a job interview.

02:11:50 - 02:11:51 | Speaker 6:

Oh, you don't want to be on the show anymore?

02:11:51 - 02:12:01 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no. No, it's not that. Ten minutes can go extremely quickly. Like you can look at your phone and it'd be 1 o'clock and then you know the job is at 1.10.

02:12:01 - 02:12:04 | Speaker 4:

Then you'd set the timer on your phone.

02:12:04 - 02:12:06 | Speaker 3:

No, that's ridiculous. I'm not setting a timer for you to call me back.

02:12:07 - 02:12:22 | Speaker 4:

All right. Here's the thing. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Or if you want to text me before you call, you can text 95500. I want to know what you think about this. The whole idea. Like, what is the phone thing that drives you crazy?

02:12:23 - 02:12:36 | Speaker 3:

Like, for, I'm sorry. Calling me. For example, we have Dirty on a 30. We have time for things that we never are on time for. So, if you say, I'm going to call you in 10 minutes, that's like saying we're going to do the Dirty at the 30. It never happens.

02:12:36 - 02:13:09 | Speaker 4:

I am on time for nothing on the show, but for everything that deals with the monetary values of this show. And, and, and I want, I want you to know that I, I am a regular, I'd rather just text you. Okay. I am fine with that. You just said you would rather call. No, no. I said, I would rather, I would rather do the one thing. I would do that one thing. Hold on a second. Is, is this, is there another Wes in this world or do I know only one Wes? I think I know only one Wes. Wes is your Wes. Why are you calling for this topic?

02:13:09 - 02:13:18 | Speaker 1:

because because i'm driving to work um no i shannon what do you hate that i do

02:13:18 - 02:13:26 | Speaker 6:

after i call you you say hey just tried to call you didn't you didn't answer and i'm like i see

02:13:26 - 02:13:39 | Speaker 2:

that you i have a missed call from you yeah i hate that anybody who says give the courtesy text before you call why is it not okay to send the courtesy hey called you after because i see

02:13:39 - 02:13:40 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I have a missed call.

02:13:40 - 02:13:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, no, that's different.

02:13:42 - 02:13:46 | Speaker 1:

Wait, wait. But to Mojo's point, you don't have to do any of it if you just put up the phone. That's true, too.

02:13:46 - 02:13:48 | Speaker 4:

So wait, so are you saying that Shannon...

02:13:48 - 02:13:50 | Speaker 1:

Don't side with him. Shannon doesn't... No, no, no.

02:13:50 - 02:13:57 | Speaker 4:

I actually am halfway sided with him, too. Wes, you're saying that Shannon never picks up your phone calls. That's not true. She does the thing, too.

02:13:57 - 02:14:00 | Speaker 2:

She bums me like crazy. I do not.

02:14:00 - 02:14:06 | Speaker 4:

I do not. She has on her phone message, leave me a text, because I would rather have a text than have you...

02:14:06 - 02:14:08 | Speaker 6:

I'm not going to listen to your voicemail. She won't listen to the voicemails.

02:14:08 - 02:14:13 | Speaker 4:

Let's say it. Send me a text. She's as bad listening to voicemails as Megan is looking at a text.

02:14:13 - 02:14:18 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I won't look at a text. And I'm not going to pick up your call, so just don't contact me. Leave me alone.

02:14:18 - 02:14:24 | Speaker 4:

Do you know that I have a special ring for Chelsea? Because when it rings, I know I've got to pick this damn thing up.

02:14:24 - 02:14:25 | Speaker 6:

Do you have a special ring for me, Wesley?

02:14:27 - 02:14:30 | Speaker 2:

I do not, but I did have one for my ex-wife for a while. Wait.

02:14:31 - 02:14:36 | Speaker 6:

Why did you say that? Oh, so she got a special ring. You did not have to say that.

02:14:36 - 02:14:38 | Speaker 4:

hey Wes

02:14:38 - 02:14:40 | Speaker 6:

not answering any phone calls from you today

02:14:40 - 02:14:46 | Speaker 4:

I saw you and Shannon were out somewhere yesterday on Shannon's story did she pick out your outfit or agreed

02:14:46 - 02:14:50 | Speaker 1:

to that outfit? I didn't I hate you guys

02:14:50 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 4:

what's up Nick how you doing? good how are you? Good what's going on? so I mean I understand your

02:15:00 - 02:15:26 | Speaker 3:

frustration but i actually probably gonna get yelled at when i come to work today but um every single time i send an email to my boss i have to send him a text letting him know that i sent him an email and before i call him i have to send him a text message asking if it's okay for him to talk so the second one i get your little your little client situation yeah well listen but the second

02:15:26 - 02:15:27 | Speaker 4:

I don't know when I get. I understand.

02:15:27 - 02:15:31 | Speaker 2:

The second one is okay. Hey, do you got a second to talk? The first one, that boss is an a-hole.

02:15:34 - 02:15:36 | Speaker 3:

I'm not going to make any comments on that one.

02:15:37 - 02:15:40 | Speaker 2:

I did not confirm nor did not. Candace, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:15:42 - 02:15:47 | Speaker 6:

So it sounds like to me that someone's irresponsible with their time. Is this not a professional relationship?

02:15:48 - 02:15:48 | Speaker 2:

It is.

02:15:48 - 02:15:50 | Speaker 6:

Are we not all adults here?

02:15:50 - 02:15:50 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

02:15:51 - 02:16:14 | Speaker 6:

Oh, you're on schedule all day? Oh, hello. Why are you calling us out? Because, no, I'm saying that this is a professional relationship. In my place of business, I am on time. But, like, if I'm going to a friend's house and I'm going to be late, yeah, I'm going to call him and be like, hey, I'm going to be late. Sorry, I'm not a breath. I'm moving wood.

02:16:15 - 02:16:21 | Speaker 2:

But, no, like, it's a professional relationship. Wait, what are you doing? Are you on a treadmill or what are you doing?

02:16:23 - 02:16:32 | Speaker 6:

No, I have a wood stove in my house. and well somebody has to get the wood into the house so oh you're moving wood i'm so jealous

02:16:32 - 02:16:38 | Speaker 2:

of you and your wood stove that's a you that's a my god please no it's so exhausting uh what's up

02:16:38 - 02:16:51 | Speaker 5:

marissa hi how are you hi i was just saying i hate when people call me and then they don't leave a voicemail and then i'm clearly busy so i'll shoot them a text and say hey what's up i'm busy and

02:16:51 - 02:17:26 | Speaker 2:

then you just get ghosted for like an hour i hate that is by the way that is actually a bad thing too when they because you want to make sure that there's they're okay and all they have they just called you why can't they just say no nothing important tony travato our boss is great at if you call him he'll say hey i'm on a call call you call you right back i do appreciate that um i realize i'm the jerk that doesn't answer him back and say okay sometimes so that so that i at Please show it. But you're right, though. If you do that, you're being caring about them, and if they don't answer you back, they're not caring back. What's up, Judy?

02:17:27 - 02:17:28 | Speaker 6:

Hello.

02:17:28 - 02:17:29 | Speaker 2:

What's up? What's going on?

02:17:30 - 02:17:39 | Speaker 6:

Nothing. I was just saying, like, if I'm going to tell you, text me before you call me, it's because I want to make sure I'm not around my boyfriend or my husband. Oh.

02:17:40 - 02:17:40 | Unknown:

Oh.

02:17:40 - 02:17:43 | Speaker 3:

I'm not in business, or are you getting yourself into it?

02:17:43 - 02:17:47 | Speaker 1:

Boyfriend or husband. Oh, yeah, wait a second. Boyfriend or husband?

02:17:47 - 02:17:52 | Speaker 2:

I like this. War of the Roses in moments. Shelby, what's up?

02:17:54 - 02:17:54 | Speaker 7:

Hi.

02:17:55 - 02:17:55 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

02:17:57 - 02:18:15 | Speaker 7:

I just wanted to let you guys know I love you guys. I listen to you every morning. I'm a bus driver. We love you, too. Thank you. I listen to you on my bus, but I just wanted to call because I personally hate talking on the phone. So if I text you.

02:18:15 - 02:18:19 | Speaker 2:

she's talking to us on the phone right now but she hates talking on the phone

02:18:19 - 02:18:48 | Speaker 7:

well i i've talked to you guys obviously thank you that's flattering like my like my grandfather for example he will like i'll text him something and he'll call me immediately and i'm like oh like i texted you for a reason he's your grandpa you know what one day he's not going to be on this planet yeah talk to him talk to him come on i know i know my wife always reminds me of that so i do i pick up the phone for him but yeah you better anything just text me we love you shelby

02:18:48 - 02:18:55 | Speaker 2:

thank you for the call uh eric what did you want to say hey uh so the whole beginning of the thing

02:18:55 - 02:19:12 | Speaker 4:

is that it's because the monetary gains is the radio station right so the client relationship yes all right client service man i don't care if you gotta text before you call or if they want you to take them out to lunch or anything you're right gotta do it man listen i gotta protect those

02:19:12 - 02:19:16 | Speaker 2:

advertisers. I don't want those guys going over to the scumbags across the street, you know?

02:19:16 - 02:19:23 | Speaker 4:

Exactly. Gotta keep them right there. I mean, honestly, personally, I'm with you. I really don't. I'll call you.

02:19:23 - 02:19:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. And I agree. And listen, and it's a long-term advertiser, and we love them so much, but text me. Zachariah? What's up, Zachariah?

02:19:34 - 02:19:44 | Speaker 4:

Yo, yo, yo, Mojo and the team. So, listen. What do they expect? You're gonna send them a text, right? mode, you're like, hey, I'm calling, and boom, you call. Do they even read the text?

02:19:45 - 02:19:57 | Speaker 2:

That's true. That's actually a really good thing. Do I have to wait to call them before they reply? But then you'd have to text again when you actually call. That's true. Zach, you bring up a very good point.

02:19:57 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 4:

Love you guys. We love you too, buddy.

02:20:00 - 02:20:14 | Speaker 2:

What are you going to say? Nothing important, I promise. What are you going to say? Everybody quiet. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live. Go ahead.

02:20:14 - 02:20:19 | Speaker 1:

I hate when this happens. Why don't you text me? Text me, text me. I'll be good with it. All right.

02:20:19 - 02:20:24 | Speaker 2:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:20:25 - 02:20:31 | Speaker 1:

So, Jenna, you think that your best friend's boyfriend is cheating on her?

02:20:33 - 02:20:36 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure.

02:20:36 - 02:20:42 | Speaker 1:

Why is it that you are thinking this? Was there something that you saw?

02:20:44 - 02:20:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so I was at the *** about a weekend ago, and he was grabbing drinks with this other girl.

02:20:55 - 02:21:02 | Speaker 1:

And did he know that you were there or did he have no clue that his girlfriend's best friend is at the bar, same bar?

02:21:03 - 02:22:00 | Speaker 3:

We have not met a ton of times. Like, we haven't hung out a lot and I don't think he realized, like, who I was. Okay. Like, I was dressed up to go out and I don't think he'd seen me like that. So, yeah, but he was with this other girl and it just looked kind of sketch. Did you tell your best friend? um i have told her yeah um she's kind of a little bit i don't know like i'm not i believe i know what i saw but she's kind of not sure and i get it but when you said sketch what is it what does sketch mean like what were they doing uh he was you know he was kind of far away but he like it really looked like he was like rubbing this girl's back and when he paid because I was up at the bar when he paid. And so I did see that he didn't pay with a credit card. It was a hotel key card.

02:22:02 - 02:22:29 | Speaker 1:

Hmm. Okay. Well, of course, it's a bar that's in that hotel. So I was going to ask the question just so that the listeners get in on this and know what's going on. Here you are, the best friend. Why do you care so much? Well, you care so much because obviously this is your friend, but you also, you told her about wanting to do this War of the Roses and said that you wanted her to be on with us, and she was okay with this. She agreed to do this.

02:22:30 - 02:22:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she's, you know, like, I think she's doing it more for me because I don't think she's as suspicious.

02:22:37 - 02:22:44 | Speaker 1:

So she doesn't believe you? Hold on, let's ask her that question. She's on the phone with us right now. Nadia, are you there?

02:22:46 - 02:22:47 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:22:47 - 02:22:50 | Speaker 1:

Nadia, you're okay with being on the radio with Mojo in the morning?

02:22:51 - 02:22:52 | Speaker 4:

Sure.

02:22:52 - 02:23:15 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so Jenna was just telling us what's going on. Nadia, she told us about your boyfriend and talked about seeing him at the bar. You don't believe what she saw was anything suspicious or cheating? No. Have you said anything to him about what you have not? Why? Why have you not said anything to him?

02:23:16 - 02:23:17 | Speaker 4:

I trust him.

02:23:18 - 02:23:25 | Speaker 1:

Okay, but you must not fully trust him if you wanted us to do the War of the Roses or allowing Jenna to want to do the War of the Roses.

02:23:27 - 02:23:29 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I trust her, too.

02:23:30 - 02:23:38 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Are you wanting to do this more so to prove to Jenna that it's nothing going on here?

02:23:40 - 02:23:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. But she saw him rubbing her back.

02:23:44 - 02:23:51 | Speaker 4:

i'm you know i don't know i i don't think it was anything so you think it was just something

02:23:51 - 02:24:26 | Speaker 1:

innocent yeah okay uh for those that are listening to this there are obviously consents that we have to do in order to do war of the roses we have to obviously get the consent of both of you guys to want to do this um we're going to call him up to see where he's going to send a dozen free roses and this is going to be a test of your relationship because if he sends the flowers to you or sends them to somebody that's not a girl that he's cheating with, you know that he's also going to now know that your friend thinks that he's a cheater.

02:24:30 - 02:24:32 | Speaker 4:

I guess.

02:24:32 - 02:24:35 | Speaker 1:

And you're okay with that because you don't think that he's a cheater.

02:24:38 - 02:24:41 | Speaker 4:

We'll figure it out. I don't think he's a traitor, no

02:24:41 - 02:24:56 | Speaker 1:

Okay, Jenna And Nadia Mute your phones So that we can make a phone call We're hoping that the flowers go to Nadia It's the War of the Roses On the Mojo in the Morning show

02:25:00 - 02:25:44 | Speaker 3:

hello hi i'm looking for michael yeah this is michael hi michael my name is nicole i'm calling from a brand new online floral company called roses bloom.com how are you doing this morning a little busy um but i'm okay how are you i'm good um i'm calling with an offer for some free flowers if you have less than a minute to answer two survey questions for me we're going to gift you with a dozen long-stemmed red roses that can be sent to anybody in the country anywhere in the country completely free of charge to you and i'm just calling to see if you'd like to take part in

02:25:44 - 02:26:03 | Speaker 4:

the free offer um i i don't remember signing up for anything like this is i mean you didn't you didn't you're okay we probably i mean like i don't have to give you any kind of credit card

02:26:03 - 02:26:20 | Speaker 3:

information or anything like that nothing like that nope nothing at all um just some information about where you want to send them to i can do that yeah okay um i need a first and a last name of who you'd like these flowers to go to and just a reminder they are red roses and they

02:26:20 - 02:26:33 | Speaker 4:

they can go out as early as today so what do i need to give you right now so just a first name and a last name to start okay you can send it to uh kelsey

02:26:33 - 02:26:43 | Speaker 3:

okay and do you happen to oh do you happen to have kelsey's phone number

02:26:43 - 02:26:58 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, um, it is, uh, f***, three, eight, f***, one, one, five, yeah, one, one, f***.

02:26:59 - 02:27:01 | Speaker 3:

Okay, and what's her relationship to you?

02:27:03 - 02:27:08 | Speaker 4:

Uh, she's my girlfriend. Is there a way to put, like, a note, uh, or something like that?

02:27:08 - 02:27:39 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you actually beat me to it. um i'm gonna record a voice memo with you so instead of a paper card at rosesbloom.com we let you record your own note and then when the flowers get delivered in this case kelsey will get a text message alerting her to the delivery and then she'll be able to go ahead and play what we're about to record does that make sense oh that's okay okay so i'm gonna count you down and then you just say whatever you want you can make it long short it doesn't matter Here we go. Three, two, one.

02:27:43 - 02:27:44 | Speaker 4:

Can't stop thinking about you.

02:27:48 - 02:27:49 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Is that it?

02:27:51 - 02:27:53 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I think that sounded good.

02:27:53 - 02:27:54 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:27:54 - 02:27:54 | Unknown:

Yep.

02:27:55 - 02:28:00 | Speaker 3:

Michael, I also have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that?

02:28:01 - 02:28:27 | Speaker 2:

Sure. That's fine. And Michael I'm going to come on right now Just to kind of wrap everything up And then we're going to send these flowers off But I do need to let you know one last thing Okay Okay yeah Michael I have to let you know that While you've been sending the flowers off That your girlfriend Nadia has been listening Into this And just heard every single word That you just said

02:28:27 - 02:28:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh

02:28:31 - 02:28:47 | Speaker 2:

Is Nadia your girlfriend? Yeah. Michael, is that him gone?

02:28:50 - 02:28:50 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:28:53 - 02:28:57 | Speaker 2:

Nadia, do you have any idea who that is? That he would say was his girlfriend?

02:28:59 - 02:29:07 | Speaker 1:

No. You don't sound that upset that you just heard your boyfriend sending flowers to another girl he called his girlfriend.

02:29:14 - 02:29:15 | Speaker 2:

Are you more shocked?

02:29:19 - 02:29:20 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:29:20 - 02:29:57 | Speaker 2:

I bet. Yeah, I can see that. Obviously, we don't know if that's the person that he was with, with Jenna. but we almost have to assume that that was who Jenna saw him with in that bar. Nadia, you went into this very confident that you were going to prove to Jenna that you have a guy that's not cheating on you, and you just find out that not only does he send flowers to somebody, but he calls that person his girlfriend. That's awful. How long have you guys been together?

02:30:00 - 02:30:04 | Speaker 3:

Wow, so it's been a while.

02:30:05 - 02:30:09 | Speaker 2:

And are you with him a lot? Like, do you guys spend a lot of time together?

02:30:11 - 02:30:26 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Where did he, was he supposed to be the time that he was at the hotel? Do you know? Like, was he supposed to be at a hotel? Was he supposed to be out? He was at his mom.

02:30:28 - 02:30:29 | Speaker 2:

So that's what he told you?

02:30:29 - 02:30:31 | Speaker 1:

So you already knew that your friend had caught him in a lie?

02:30:34 - 02:30:34 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:30:36 - 02:30:41 | Speaker 2:

All right, hang on one second, okay? We'll come back. We'll talk more. This is the home of War of the Roses.

02:30:41 - 02:30:43 | Speaker 4:

We love Mojo in the Morning.

02:30:45 - 02:31:16 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses. Jenna saw her best friend's boyfriend with another woman at a pretty popular spot. and told her best friend about it. Best friend, Nadia, didn't think that it was anything and thought that she was honestly just seeing nothing. We did War of the Roses to find out that she saw something, obviously saw him cheating. Jenna?

02:31:16 - 02:31:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, hi.

02:31:17 - 02:31:23 | Speaker 2:

How hard was it for you to hear Nadia's reaction to her boyfriend cheating?

02:31:23 - 02:31:37 | Speaker 3:

um yeah real hard um she's i just i just feel bad for her like i didn't want to be right

02:31:37 - 02:31:45 | Speaker 1:

but i mean let's be real based on what you saw obviously something was going on right

02:31:45 - 02:31:55 | Speaker 3:

I mean, this isn't something that I would, like, put her through if I didn't think that it was better for her.

02:31:58 - 02:32:24 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to grab Nadia here. Nadia, you got a pretty good friend here, and I know you got a bunch of other friends, too, that have been texting us and telling us that they're here for you. with all the times that we ever run across somebody that gets cheated on I will tell you that you always end up in a much better place in due time I'm so sorry that you're dealing with this

02:32:24 - 02:32:29 | Speaker 3:

okay

02:32:29 - 02:32:42 | Speaker 2:

alright how you feeling

02:32:42 - 02:32:52 | Speaker 3:

dude I don't want to talk to you anymore can I go okay do you want me to come over later yeah

02:32:52 - 02:32:54 | Unknown:

okay

02:32:54 - 02:33:21 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to let you two guys talk without us so hold on one sec where are the roses Katie what's happening how are you yeah katie oh hi oh i thought you knew i picked you up i was so confused i thought you're crying

02:33:21 - 02:33:26 | Speaker 4:

no no that's no i'm laughing i'm laughing why what are you laughing about

02:33:26 - 02:33:59 | Speaker 5:

um nadia's weird stance on all this she seems i i wish i had her um um faith in men and confidence through all this i also wish i had a friend as good as jenna and i think i would believe her um i have to say this is probably the first war of the roses i kind of wanted the guy to cheat just because i don't like her um she just doesn't seem like she cared at all anyways oh geez wow

02:33:59 - 02:34:04 | Speaker 2:

so you thought you thought her her attitude towards the whole thing made you go you know

02:34:04 - 02:34:21 | Speaker 4:

what i kind of hope that she's cheated on not in that way yeah well i just i thought to hear her like talk to her friend like no it's i don't i don't really care and it's and she's very short

02:34:21 - 02:34:58 | Speaker 2:

and very listen and i will say this the because people are reacting to how she was towards me towards the end of the the conversation just now i i get it you just find this out listen you don't want to talk yeah and i and i'm not going to hold that against her and i'm not going to hold against her that uh and none of us will ever hold against her that she believed in him because why can't you not believe in somebody that you feel like is a good person yeah but when your best friend is presenting you with that information but who knows if your best friend has uh you know ulterior motives fair that's super fair um jennifer what did you want to say it's mojo in the morning war of the roses

02:35:00 - 02:35:14 | Speaker 7:

Hi, I believe that he knew that you guys are calling, and he thought it was Kelsey calling, so he just kept going on with it, and then the way that he was reacting, it was kind of like he was surprised it was Nadia.

02:35:15 - 02:35:27 | Speaker 3:

Really? You think that he thought it was the girl he sent the flowers to that was on the end with our show, and that he was sending her the flowers? That's interesting. I did not think about that at all.

02:35:27 - 02:35:38 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, because he was too calm. He already knew you didn't need any credit card information. And then he knew that message was whack. And he still was like, oh, that's good. He just wanted to get it over with. Like, he knew he was.

02:35:39 - 02:35:53 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to listen back to the podcast of that. I'm going to do that. Because, boy, that's a different take. Erica, were the roses mojo in the morning? A best friend saw her best friend's boyfriend out cheating. What did you want to say?

02:35:54 - 02:36:16 | Speaker 9:

Yeah, I just feel like it would have been less messy if the best friend would have just taken a picture or a video and just showed it to her. Because she seemed pretty embarrassed after she found out. So I feel like she could have gone about it a different way and still left her intact, at least with the evidence that, look, I saw you with the woman at the bar. Who is she? And then she would have not been so embarrassed today.

02:36:16 - 02:36:20 | Speaker 4:

I wonder why she didn't take a photo. Because I feel like that would be my first instinct.

02:36:21 - 02:36:27 | Speaker 9:

Yeah, me too. Like, yeah, she may not believe your words, but if you have a picture, Now you have proof.

02:36:27 - 02:36:45 | Speaker 3:

We have had that. We've had the War of the Roses where she saw him with another girl. They weren't doing anything other than they were together. But that was one of those things. I actually know somebody, a really good friend of mine's relative, was caught with another person out in public.

02:36:46 - 02:36:47 | Speaker 4:

Somebody took a photo.

02:36:47 - 02:36:52 | Speaker 3:

Somebody actually literally called the spouse at that moment and said something. Oh, really?

02:36:53 - 02:36:54 | Speaker 8:

Get him right now.

02:36:54 - 02:36:57 | Speaker 3:

Nikki, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:36:58 - 02:37:01 | Speaker 8:

Hello, how are you? Good morning. Good morning.

02:37:01 - 02:37:01 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

02:37:02 - 02:37:15 | Speaker 8:

I don't think that Nadia is acting weird. I think she really wanted to believe that he was not cheating. And now that she sees that he is, I think she's just more in shock and just embarrassed.

02:37:16 - 02:37:18 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's what I kind of felt, too. I agree with you, Nikki.

02:37:18 - 02:37:29 | Speaker 8:

Because it's like everybody is coming down on, oh, she's acting weird. No, I just think she really did not want to believe it. But I feel like her friend is a good friend for letting her know what she saw.

02:37:30 - 02:37:32 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I think Jenna actually.

02:37:32 - 02:37:33 | Speaker 8:

I feel really bad for her.

02:37:33 - 02:37:44 | Speaker 3:

I do. I do too. Jenna actually is a pretty good friend to be able to do this. And obviously, it's nice to have somebody that you can count on now after you find this out. Kelly, what's up?

02:37:45 - 02:37:56 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I guess it's just a little confusing to me how they've been dating for a year and a half. and she's supposedly, like, one of her best friends, but he couldn't recognize her in a bar?

02:37:56 - 02:38:04 | Speaker 3:

Well, I don't know if he saw her. Do you think, we asked that question, do you think that he saw her? I don't know.

02:38:04 - 02:38:10 | Speaker 2:

He probably didn't see her. I mean, when you go into a bar, you're not looking around to see who you know in there. Although if you're cheating, you might.

02:38:10 - 02:38:16 | Speaker 5:

This might be crazy, but I have, like, a best friend who's dated a guy for, like, three or four months now, and I haven't met him yet.

02:38:17 - 02:38:17 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

02:38:17 - 02:38:21 | Speaker 5:

You know what I mean? Like, sometimes it's just, you don't see them that often.

02:38:22 - 02:38:33 | Speaker 3:

I find it interesting, too, that, like, the whole touching a girl on her back like that, that to me is more romantic than it is any kind of other sign. Like, than even kissing.

02:38:34 - 02:38:35 | Speaker 2:

The location of the back, though, right?

02:38:35 - 02:38:39 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Yeah. Or the lingering touching of the back.

02:38:39 - 02:38:44 | Speaker 3:

And then paying for the drinks and paying for the drinks with a hotel thing.

02:38:44 - 02:38:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah.

02:38:45 - 02:38:50 | Speaker 3:

Because it was in, so they're obviously staying in the hotel. Right. War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:38:51 - 02:38:58 | Speaker 1:

This is the home of the dirty on the 30. Throwback, throwdown, second date update, and War of the Roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:39:30 - 02:39:32 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:39:32 - 02:39:36 | Speaker 3:

Let's get a look at the last Dirty of the morning. Shannon, what is going on in the Dirty?

02:39:37 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 4:

Well, among the celebrities who have lost their homes in these wildfires that are happening in California, Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Mandy Moore. As of this morning, the three fires have led to the evacuation of more than 130,000 residents, another half a million people without power. The L.A. County Fire Chief also reporting that five people have lost their lives and more than two.

02:40:00 - 02:40:09 | Speaker 2:

2,000 structures have been destroyed, and just, it's horrifying, it's terrifying to watch the videos of what is happening.

02:40:09 - 02:40:55 | Speaker 7:

The wildfire emergency in Southern California is showing no signs of slowing overnight. There's a new fire right there that's grown pretty quickly and is now getting closer to Runyon Canyon. A new fire erupting in the Hollywood Hills, marching toward iconic landmarks. Plenty of those embers are coming down on top of us. this palm tree outside a hollywood home catching fire neighbors jumping into action grabbing a ladder and hose to save that house the balcony was on fire and i went around the back to grab the garden hose and luckily they had the ring camera as well and they were like hello what are you doing and i'm like your house is on fire i'm trying to save it um so they were grateful firefighters protecting this apartment spraying water on the raging flames and dropping water from above the roads around hollywood gridlocked as people scramble to escape

02:40:55 - 02:41:06 | Speaker 6:

You have a whole lot of people in these cars, especially, coming down from the Hollywood Hills, trying to get as far away from this fire as possible, in addition to the folks who live in the many apartment buildings right here off of Franklin and Hollywood.

02:41:06 - 02:41:21 | Speaker 5:

We've been watching firefighters work on this house for hours now. It looks like they're going to lose this battle, and I want you to see something. Normally, you would not have been able to see the Pacific Ocean from here. There would be a line of very impressive-looking seaside homes. They're now all gone.

02:41:21 - 02:41:53 | Speaker 7:

The Eaton Fire exploding to more than 15,000 acres in just 24 hours. Flames marching down the mountains into densely packed communities, killing at least five people. The full scope of the damage may be unknown for days. An early estimate predicts $10 billion in insured losses. The Los Angeles Fire Department budget last year was cut by more than $17 million. In a memo last month, the fire chief said a reduction in overtime has severely limited the department's capacity to prepare for, train for, and respond to large-scale emergencies, including wildfires.

02:41:53 - 02:42:10 | Speaker 2:

I want to go back to something that that reporter said. He said 15,000-plus acres have already burned Manhattan. So Manhattan is 14,000 acres. So think of all of Manhattan. It's gone. It's unreal. It's gone.

02:42:12 - 02:42:44 | Speaker 3:

It's unreal to see the devastation, And it's even more unreal when you look on a map and see how widespread the fires are popping up. Like, it's really interesting. And then there's been some people that have been on TikTok and some conspiracy-ish people thinking that some fires are being started on purpose. That there are people that are out starting fires while this fire is going on. Which would be, that would be horrific if somebody's actually doing this on purpose. and it's not that it just started off one fire.

02:42:44 - 02:42:45 | Speaker 2:

Because it's not just going to affect you.

02:42:45 - 02:43:02 | Speaker 3:

Because a lot of people are saying there's no way that the, there's no way that Ash could just, like, go from literally, I'm thinking from here to Toledo, you know what I mean? Like, it's just crazy the vast area that is getting caught up in these fires right now.

02:43:02 - 02:43:06 | Speaker 2:

I saw an interview with this man last night, and this just broke my heart.

02:43:08 - 02:43:30 | Speaker 1:

It's my whole life. I was sitting in the car by myself, and tears just came over my face. So my entire history is in the house. I'm okay. I'll be okay. I'm tough, and we'll start over. Even though I'm 91 years old, I'll start over again. Wow.

02:43:30 - 02:43:55 | Speaker 2:

By the way, the NFL says they are continuing to prepare as if Monday night's playoff game will happen at SoFi Stadium in L.A. The backup plan, move it to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. In Other Dirty This Morning, Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift will not be getting married in the fall. That piece of gossip amid engagement watch 2025. The brothers Kelsey talking weddings on yesterday's episode of the New Heights podcast.

02:43:56 - 02:44:36 | Speaker 4:

I actually don't know people who have gotten married in the fall because all the weddings I've been to and all my friends always do it in the summer, I guess. Yeah, we can't go usually. I think Jason's pretty spot on with you guys got to be more in sync on things. You got to be willing to, you know, find a weekend where the team isn't playing anybody good. Maybe also, if you really do have a problem with that, maybe it's in her best interest to not have it in the fall so that she knows you're invested in the anniversary every time it comes around. I mean, I've seen weddings in February. I've seen weddings everywhere but the fall. So I'm not sure if the fall is a good wedding season.

02:44:36 - 02:44:41 | Speaker 2:

Travis said when he gets married, it will be a Friday wedding. It has to be a Friday wedding so he can party all weekend.

02:44:41 - 02:44:48 | Speaker 3:

I like Friday weddings. I actually kind of like it. My Chaldean friends all get married on Sundays. I hate Sunday weddings. Oh, that's terrible.

02:44:49 - 02:44:56 | Speaker 2:

I got to go to work the next day. Kev, you are my Kanye dirty source. Did you see what he posted yesterday on his Instagram about Adidas?

02:44:56 - 02:44:58 | Speaker 3:

About Adidas? Yes, you did. Calling out Adidas.

02:44:59 - 02:45:30 | Speaker 2:

Yep, calling out Adidas. Adidas once again, this time accusing the brand of trying to hold him back. He was on Instagram sharing a post confronting the brand and accusing it of making efforts to deliberately bury his own Yeezy site in Google search results specifically. So he shared a screenshot from his phone and you can see how Google placed Adidas' website higher than his own Yeezy page, which he said, obviously a tactical move to hurt his business. So that's the latest in that back and forth that's been happening for a long time.

02:45:30 - 02:45:59 | Speaker 3:

And that has to be one of those SEO search engine optimization things where they're maybe paying ad dollars and choosing what to put money towards when you're searching. So if they hate Kanye, then they probably should remove all the money that they have when people search Yeezy so that the Yeezy's that they're still selling, even though they hate them, don't populate. But, you know. Accusations. Blame Kanye. Accusations. False. Accusations. These are not accusations. This is false accusations.

02:45:59 - 02:46:12 | Speaker 2:

Today is a national day of mourning for President Demi Carter. So just a heads up, certain government businesses, including the post office, are closed. You're not going to get your mail. His funeral is actually taking place as we speak right now.

02:46:12 - 02:46:27 | Speaker 1:

At the National Cathedral, we're looking at it. It's right over my left shoulder from where we're sitting here. Obviously, a solemn moment here. and the U.S. Coast Guard band is gathered outside as they prepare to bring his casket inside.

02:46:28 - 02:46:40 | Speaker 2:

Mojo, you're telling me something so interesting. So he had planned his funeral years and years and years and years ago. And in fact, I think something that's happening during his funeral is a first.

02:46:40 - 02:47:06 | Speaker 4:

So he asked two people to do a eulogy for him, and he ended up outliving both of those people. His vice president, Walter Mondale, was one of those people. He outlived him. And then the man he beat to become president, Grand Rapids and Michigan's very own Gerald Ford, both will eulogize President Carter today from the dead. Via their words.

02:47:06 - 02:47:08 | Speaker 2:

I don't know who's reading those eulogies.

02:47:09 - 02:47:11 | Speaker 1:

But he had such a lasting legacy.

02:47:11 - 02:47:12 | Speaker 4:

It's interesting.

02:47:12 - 02:47:42 | Speaker 2:

Did you see? So his body has been lying in state in the Capitol Rotunda for the past two days. Did you see what happened yesterday? The police had to make an arrest right there. They arrested a guy who was in line for, like he was getting ready to go view the casket. Guy had a machete and three knives on him. What the hell? Yeah, they caught him when his bag went through the x-ray machine. But that arrest came right before President-elect Trump arrived at the Capitol to meet with Senate Republicans.

02:47:43 - 02:47:44 | Speaker 4:

And to visit the casket.

02:47:44 - 02:47:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he was there with the, you know, the upcoming first lady. Do you say the first lady elect? I don't know. Melania was with him. Anyway, but yeah, isn't that a machete?

02:47:54 - 02:47:56 | Speaker 3:

Through the x-ray machine, though. It's crazy.

02:47:57 - 02:48:01 | Speaker 2:

For all of today's dirty catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

02:48:01 - 02:49:08 | Speaker 4:

I think when you do that and you bring it, like they have machetes and stuff like that and you go through like airport security, like you can't just like say, well, I put a machete in my pocket. Oh, I forgot about that. It's like, yeah, I'm so sorry about that. Not like you forgot your iPad. Oh, jeez. Did I leave a bottle of water in my bag? I don't know. Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source, is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Good morning. Hello. So phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, and text is 95500. I think I've got a topic or two left in us. We've got to get to a bunch of good stuff as far as contesting goes. I'm going to tell you about some of the contesting that we've got coming up on the show, including cash in just a little bit. So, Shannon, who got ripped off here?

02:49:08 - 02:49:08 | Speaker 2:

Me.

02:49:08 - 02:49:11 | Speaker 4:

You got ripped off? Who ripped you off?

02:49:11 - 02:49:17 | Speaker 2:

I am spicy about this. The valet at a restaurant that Wes and I went to.

02:49:17 - 02:49:17 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

02:49:19 - 02:49:29 | Speaker 2:

So, Wes and I met for dinner at a place in downtown Detroit. I am not going to name this place because I actually really like it, and a friend of mine is the manager there.

02:49:29 - 02:49:30 | Speaker 4:

You just want valet again.

02:49:31 - 02:50:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, this issue is specifically with the valet. and Wes and I met in separate cars because he had somewhere to go like immediately or he had somewhere to be excuse me immediately beforehand anyway so we were driving separate cars so I was by myself okay and I never do valet but I did valet in this particular situation because it was so freaking cold and I didn't feel like walking like parking my car and walking through the parking garage and from the parking garage I was like I it's fine Wes had done the same thing And he told.

02:50:00 - 02:50:05 | Speaker 1:

me it's he's like it's 15 bucks for the valet at this point to me when it's when it's eight

02:50:05 - 02:50:12 | Speaker 3:

degrees outside yeah 15 is worth it okay charge for valet they got set prices yeah yeah and they

02:50:12 - 02:50:43 | Speaker 2:

and you got to check that because sometimes you think it's complimentary and you're you know i gave i gave the valet i went to a restaurant i'm sorry to interrupt your story but it's okay i went to a restaurant uh in birmingham and i valet and i thought to myself oh it's complimentary i come out and I thought I was a big shot. I gave the guy a $10 bill. The guy goes, uh, I'm sorry, but the valet cost, uh, $15 or something like that. Basically I was like, I thought I was Mr. I was like Mr. Big shotting, big shotting. I can't remember. Did you say what

02:50:43 - 02:52:11 | Speaker 1:

area you were in? No, but I'll tell you off the air. So, uh, it was $15. I knew this because Wes had said it to me when we were at, when we were eating dinner and I'm like, okay, cool. So I, we, I go to leave dinner. I get back to my car. I hand the guy a twenty dollar bill when he brings me my car and i say thank you okay give him a five dollar tip man okay well it was fifteen dollars and i gave him a five dollar tip yeah i start to drive away and i get a notification on my phone from american express which happens every time my card is charged and it happens immediately i get a notification that says my card has been charged by that detroit metropolis parking app yeah do you know what i'm talking about because i have my license yes i have my license and like an account with them so that if i park in any of the garages in the city it just scans your license plate and charges your card you don't have to like fiddle with the thing so i'm like okay wait a second and then i realized this business the valet parks the valet cars in one of those garages yeah so my car got charged to park in the garage and the valet didn't tell me that so they're they're double dipping do you see he took my 20 and didn't say a damn thing to me and then i got charged to park my car in the 15 actually to get to park in the garage do you know do you know like do you think he knew a hundred percent they do this all damn

02:52:11 - 02:52:17 | Speaker 2:

day long i was so how would you know how would you know that you had the uh that your car was

02:52:17 - 02:52:26 | Speaker 1:

already uh because a lot of people do so he could have said to me it's no other way he could have They said, hey, your car's going to get, you're going to, no way.

02:52:26 - 02:52:31 | Speaker 2:

Shannon, does it say on your car, this is a Metropolis parking thing?

02:52:31 - 02:52:34 | Speaker 1:

No, but they know that the garage that they park in is a Metropolis garage.

02:52:34 - 02:52:36 | Speaker 2:

Right, I understand that, but the problem is.

02:52:36 - 02:52:41 | Speaker 1:

They have to assume that a good chunk of their customers have that app and it automatically gets charged.

02:52:41 - 02:52:43 | Speaker 2:

I have no idea what a Metropolis garage is.

02:52:43 - 02:52:58 | Speaker 3:

This is a very popular place. If you go through like Detroit too, to Shannon's point, there are many garages in downtown Detroit that operate through this system. And it clearly states where normally you would go push for help or you would punch a ticket. It says that this is how we operate.

02:52:58 - 02:53:00 | Speaker 2:

As soon as you go through here, we're going to charge you.

02:53:01 - 02:53:01 | Speaker 1:

There's signs everywhere.

02:53:02 - 02:53:12 | Speaker 2:

But here's the thing, though, for you, though. Maybe he doesn't know. So maybe what you need to do is contact the restaurant and say to the valet, they double dipped you.

02:53:12 - 02:53:41 | Speaker 1:

So I didn't contact the restaurant, but you can bet your ass. I turned my car around and went back and parked in the valet area. and I got out of my car and I said to him, I go, you guys, I go, I just got double charged for the valet and he pretended he didn't know what I was talking about. And I showed him the phone. I showed him, you know, the thing. And I was like, I, my car got charged because of the garage you put it in. And he goes, oh, I thought you were giving us a $20 tip. That's what I was going to say. And I said, no. And I made him give it back to me. Oh, it's okay. I really did. I was so mad.

02:53:41 - 02:53:42 | Speaker 2:

You made him give you the $20 back?

02:53:42 - 02:53:48 | Speaker 1:

I made him give me the $20 back because I was already charged. I was, my credit car was already charged to park my car. So he got no tip.

02:53:48 - 02:54:22 | Speaker 2:

Here's the thing, though. I'm going to tell you this. I truly believe that, and maybe somebody from Metropolis Garages call us up, but I truly believe this guy is an innocent bystander because I think he just parks his cars in that garage, and that's how they work it. They work it with the Metropolis Garages because I know how it is that I stayed at the Shinola, and they park in the Z-Lot. I think that might be a Metropolis too. And I don't have a Z-Lot Z or whatever the hell it is. And so they park in there, and I get a thing later that says that your car is coming back from the Z-Lot. I'm like, I don't even know the Z-Lot.

02:54:22 - 02:54:27 | Speaker 1:

You better be careful that you're not getting double-charged by Shinola and the app.

02:54:28 - 02:54:31 | Speaker 2:

But no, but I don't have an account with them. I don't have an account. I don't think you need an account, bro.

02:54:31 - 02:54:33 | Speaker 1:

It goes on your license plate.

02:54:34 - 02:54:36 | Speaker 2:

But I don't, I've never registered.

02:54:36 - 02:54:50 | Speaker 1:

No, I think you have to register, because I have my Amex registered to my account. The thing that I'm saying is he was 100% playing dumb, you guys, because this is a popular restaurant. There's people there all day long.

02:54:50 - 02:54:51 | Speaker 3:

There's people there all day long.

02:54:51 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 1:

They know that this is a thing. You can barely drive a car. He could have very kindly said to me, hey, if you have the ass.

02:55:00 - 02:55:04 | Speaker 6:

app like it's going to charge the app i don't need to charge you or however they decide to do it i

02:55:04 - 02:55:09 | Speaker 3:

think the 20 he thought was tip what's up andre $20 tip for a $15 parking yeah some people you

02:55:09 - 02:55:20 | Speaker 8:

might be gonna say uh it's it's just like the tip man i ask him downtown all the time is there you gonna charge me if i get in a lot there when you park me it's like he's like that's the courtesy

02:55:20 - 02:55:53 | Speaker 4:

that's the tip right there there's the 20 i'm like i guess yeah so andre are you are you from the detroit area or grand rapids or toledo which one are you detroit area okay so the parking lots in in here are are kind of weird you know how how things are now with being downtown i feel like it's even you know more apparent how weird it is um and i think that like i think that this guy didn't necessarily do it on purpose do you think he did it on purpose uh i think so yeah they're making

02:55:53 - 02:55:57 | Speaker 6:

bank on people who don't get the alert from their credit card right away

02:55:57 - 02:56:05 | Speaker 4:

that that happens. Metropolis, you have to register just by the way. And Andre, have you ever met a smart valet? Stop it, bro.

02:56:05 - 02:56:17 | Speaker 5:

It's not smart, but genuinely as somebody who lives downtown and parks in a parking garage where valet are all of the time, y'all should be terrified they're driving your cars because they are reckless with them. Reckless.

02:56:17 - 02:56:40 | Speaker 4:

Can I ask you an honest question? Is there a difference between a valet and one of our promo people here at this? No. What is going on with you? There are brilliant valet people. Our promo people are basically radio station valets. We have brilliant promo people. Has anybody ever valet parked their car and had the car come back and you found out you got a parking ticket later because they just leave it on the street?

02:56:40 - 02:56:42 | Speaker 3:

I worked coat check before. Am I not?

02:56:43 - 02:56:45 | Speaker 4:

Coat check is a little different. Coat check is a little different.

02:56:45 - 02:56:46 | Speaker 5:

You got to remember numbers.

02:56:48 - 02:56:49 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Tracy?

02:56:51 - 02:56:52 | Speaker 4:

There you go.

02:56:52 - 02:57:07 | Speaker 8:

Okay, he totally knew what he was doing because when Shannon came back and said, hey, my card was, I was double charged, he said, oh, I thought you were giving me a $20 tip.

02:57:07 - 02:57:08 | Speaker 6:

That's exactly what he said, too.

02:57:08 - 02:57:10 | Speaker 8:

They are making bank.

02:57:10 - 02:57:12 | Speaker 6:

They are making bank. They know exactly what they're doing.

02:57:12 - 02:57:14 | Speaker 3:

They don't get the Metropolis money, though, do they?

02:57:16 - 02:57:19 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. I don't know. You know what I'm saying? I don't know what the situation is.

02:57:19 - 02:57:25 | Speaker 3:

He probably gets like an hourly rate maybe, or maybe he doesn't, and he just lives off the tips.

02:57:26 - 02:57:29 | Speaker 6:

Well, he didn't get any tip from me then. I was so mad.

02:57:30 - 02:57:32 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Lauren? Hi.

02:57:33 - 02:57:34 | Speaker 2:

Hi, how are you?

02:57:34 - 02:57:36 | Speaker 4:

Good, Lauren. What's going on?

02:57:37 - 02:57:58 | Speaker 2:

So I was three weeks postpartum. I had a shower downtown Detroit, and I told them I'm going to be up for 20, 30 minutes, have my car ready. I've got to get home to nurse my baby. They lost my keys. No. They had no clue where they were. I had to wait two hours. And if any ladies know, two hours, three postpartum is brutal. And then I finally had to just get an Uber home.

02:57:58 - 02:58:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no. That sucks. Do you know, Chelsea thinks I'm weird when we go out of town, like to go visit our kids in other places. And we have a car, like Chicago. And we stay at a hotel. I bring an extra set of keys because I have a fear that they're going to lose my keys.

02:58:14 - 02:58:15 | Speaker 6:

That is so smart.

02:58:15 - 02:58:22 | Speaker 4:

She thinks that that's kind of weird that I do that. But I do it for that reason, because there's nothing worse than being stranded in another place. What's up, Jessica?

02:58:24 - 02:58:24 | Speaker 7:

Hi.

02:58:25 - 02:58:25 | Speaker 4:

Hey.

02:58:25 - 02:58:38 | Speaker 7:

So I actually was on the side of the valet until you said that he thought you were giving him a $20 tip. Yep. What's wrong with that? Oh, yeah. I'm not giving you. No, I mean.

02:58:38 - 02:58:41 | Speaker 6:

That's like a 115% tip or whatever. No, no, no.

02:58:42 - 02:58:54 | Speaker 7:

So then he knew. He knew it was being charged. I thought you were giving me a $20 tip. Yeah. So I thought, yeah, totally thought he was innocent until he said that. Totally gave himself away.

02:58:54 - 02:59:04 | Speaker 3:

Where are the valets? Can we get some valets to call in here and fight for y'all life? Because I'm trying to fight, but I don't know. You're smart enough to dial the phone. It's 8-4. Would you have gone back? Go valet, Moshe.

02:59:04 - 02:59:08 | Speaker 6:

I was right there anyway, so I just had to do the turning around. It wasn't like I was on my way home.

02:59:09 - 02:59:12 | Speaker 4:

I would have contacted Amex, and I would have said, Amex, I'm not paying for this thing.

02:59:12 - 02:59:16 | Speaker 6:

Dude, they saw that the lady in the white Acadia roll-off thing. You know what?

02:59:16 - 02:59:21 | Speaker 4:

Well, they saw that, and then they knew that you had a bunch of stuff in the back there.

02:59:21 - 02:59:22 | Speaker 6:

Actually, my car is very clean right now. Thank you.

02:59:23 - 02:59:33 | Speaker 3:

Some people give big tips when they valet-o. He probably literally, I believe this guy thought it was 20. He's like, radio lady's got money. He saw you and Tom Cruise, a.k.a. Wes, coming out, and he was like, yeah.

02:59:33 - 02:59:34 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Alyssa?

02:59:36 - 02:59:56 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, hi. My husband and I went out to eat somewhere in Troy, and we did valet. And I left one of those Visa gift cards in my car. I had just opened it up. and forgot to bring it in the restaurant because we were going to use it towards our bill and came back when Valet brought our car and didn't realize that the guy stole it from my car.

02:59:56 - 02:59:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my. Wow.

03:00:00 - 03:00:11 | Speaker 1:

So we were out $50, and, yeah. And your Visa gift card. It's my fault for leaving it. Yep, my fault for leaving it there, but who would have thought? I mean, we kind of had it hidden, so we must have been rummaging through.

03:00:12 - 03:00:15 | Speaker 2:

Wow, man. Angela, what's up?

03:00:16 - 03:01:11 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Good morning, everyone. Good morning. Good morning. The guy. Hi. So the guy knew. He knew. And my brother used to be a valet for Greentown Casino, And when I tell you he tore up so many cars, I was like, dude, you need to get another job because this one is not for you. And, you know, I'm like, boy, are you for real? And then the point when you made about the key, when I used to drive a Honda Accord and I had two keys, I had one key that strictly drove the car. And every time I would do ballet, I would always have that key. So, one, they couldn't go into my glove box, or two, they couldn't go into my trunk to steal because my brother would tell me so many stories about them stealing and don't have a luxury sports car. I think they drive those and, you know, take off or whatever. Megan sees them doing it.

03:01:11 - 03:01:14 | Speaker 2:

They drive them like they stole them. Quick question for you, Angela.

03:01:15 - 03:01:15 | Speaker 1:

Exactly.

03:01:15 - 03:01:19 | Speaker 2:

I got to ask you this. How smart is your brother? What's his IQ?

03:01:21 - 03:01:34 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. You know what? I'm going to just say this. My brother, he is mentally challenged. He does. He's like, I have a mind retardation. Oh, I don't love that word. You know, he's special. But I'm sorry. But, yeah, he has a mind for him.

03:01:34 - 03:01:35 | Speaker 2:

Okay. All right. All right.

03:01:36 - 03:01:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

03:01:37 - 03:01:38 | Speaker 2:

I should have never asked that question.

03:01:39 - 03:01:41 | Speaker 1:

But he knew. But, yeah. But he knew.

03:01:41 - 03:02:42 | Speaker 2:

All right. And he's valet parking your car. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations, one stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning Live. What was that girl's name that called the two girls this morning? Was it Angie and Angie? Or what were their girls? Ashley. Ashley's, the two Ashleys. Oh, hello, Ashleys. I just wanted to shout out anybody named Ashley this morning. That's going to be the name of the day. So it's Mojo in the Morning Show. So I went away and went down and visited Joe down in Florida, and when I was down there in Florida, there was a big thing that was going on. First off, can I talk about this? I'm going to talk about new laws that are going into effect. I would like to go and tell you that a friend of mine is driving to Toledo now to buy his eggs because our eggs are so expensive.

03:02:43 - 03:02:47 | Speaker 3:

Or there's just none. I do all of my grocery shopping in Toledo.

03:02:47 - 03:03:03 | Speaker 2:

So we made this law now that you can only have cage-free eggs in Michigan. Yes. Which, by the way, somebody look at this and tell me that they're not scamming us on this cage-free egg crap. But the egg prices in Michigan are like $9 now for a carton of eggs.

03:03:03 - 03:03:05 | Speaker 3:

And there was an egg recall right before that.

03:03:06 - 03:03:23 | Speaker 2:

My buddy, he works down towards Toledo, Monroe. He'll go to Toledo to buy his eggs because he saves. He said the egg prices are $5 cheaper down in Toledo because of this law. How much gas does he spend?

03:03:23 - 03:03:25 | Speaker 3:

Well, I get gas down there because gas is cheaper.

03:03:26 - 03:03:27 | Speaker 2:

Monroe's what? How many minutes? It's probably a wash.

03:03:28 - 03:03:44 | Speaker 3:

No, it's not. I do it all. I go to Toledo a couple of times a week. It's principle. You're driving there and then coming back. Correct. And you're telling me you're saving money. But he's working in Monroe, so it's not that hard because you fill up gas there and you get your groceries there. You're down to Detroit. But I'm going to doctor's appointments, hair appointments, see my family. That's different. Yeah.

03:03:44 - 03:04:42 | Speaker 2:

All right, so that's one thing that law came into effect. When I was down in Florida, you know what, their law that came into effect that was causing a little controversy for Joe and Jad and Ashley and the Joe Show? They're no longer can you log on to, they don't have Pornhub anymore, by the way, and I'll explain why, but no longer can you log on to porn sites without giving your ID. So it was that you at a porn site had to say if you're 18 or older, and we have to do that, and they just click it. Down there, the law is you actually have to physically put your ID in to prove that you're 18 or older because they do not want underage people there. My microphone keeps going down. I know, here. All right. So this is kind of interesting because I said to Joe, I go, has this changed your life? And Joe goes, yeah. He goes, I'm not giving my ID to a porn site. Thanks. So I said to him, I go, so what's it like?

03:04:42 - 03:04:45 | Speaker 3:

You do it every time? Or you do it one time and then you have like an account?

03:04:45 - 03:04:53 | Speaker 2:

No, you have to do it one time and then one time you get logged on and it saves in your thing. So Joe, what are you listening to?

03:04:53 - 03:04:54 | Speaker 3:

Y'all didn't hear that?

03:04:54 - 03:04:54 | Speaker 2:

No.

03:04:54 - 03:04:55 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

03:04:55 - 03:04:56 | Speaker 2:

I didn't hear anything.

03:04:56 - 03:04:57 | Speaker 3:

It must be me.

03:04:57 - 03:04:58 | Speaker 2:

Is it the porn site's coming after us?

03:04:59 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 3:

It literally sounded like.

03:05:00 - 03:05:30 | Speaker 2:

a dial-up internet tone oh really oh i didn't hear it that might but let me let me tell you the funniest thing of this this has made joe go through a dry january because now we can't look at porn sites so um it's also caused for that uh porn hub has refused to be on in florida because they're opposed to this law they think this law is too overreaching how do they know where you're like so when you log on to the porn site look what comes up on the porn site this thing comes

03:05:30 - 03:05:36 | Speaker 5:

up on the porn site what if i like what if mojo has his computer and he lives in florida but he's

03:05:36 - 03:05:59 | Speaker 2:

here um your ip address i'm talking with technology no my so i tried to log on not because i was looking for porn but i was i tried to log on because i was uh i was wanting to uh to see you know what it did and i actually did it right here hold on research purposes huh here i'll send this to you guys don't send me no porn site no no i'll send i'll send you what it's what it says

03:05:59 - 03:06:04 | Speaker 3:

i haven't looked at porn in a while i'm trying to stay safe but when you go on to the to the

03:06:04 - 03:06:20 | Speaker 2:

to the porn site it shows you this hold on let's see if the audio will play are you going to or are you going to this is on porn x video why is this not uh why is the audio not playing of the poor yeah no

03:06:20 - 03:06:23 | Speaker 5:

it's playing that's pretty

03:06:23 - 03:06:28 | Speaker 2:

it is oh it is we play it in the microphone like hold yeah there's no audio

03:06:28 - 03:06:31 | Speaker 3:

on her I bet yeah no I can't

03:06:31 - 03:07:22 | Speaker 2:

so on the porn site it has a woman that comes out and says dear user because of your elected officials in Florida they're requiring you to verify your age by putting your IDs in we think that that's too overreaching and that is why we have decided as a company that we are not going to actually allow your services in that state. We apologize. So they go through the whole thing. So I was thinking about this, and this is an interesting question to ask. Who is willing to give their information to a porn site? And if you are, are you the same person that buys the premium service? I've always wondered when people buy these premium services to porn sites, what are you getting? Like, it's basically free porn. Like, what do you get if you buy premium porn?

03:07:22 - 03:07:23 | Speaker 5:

And we're not talking about OnlyFans.

03:07:24 - 03:07:29 | Speaker 2:

We're talking about... Yeah, talking about, like, this, whatever, Pornhubs, or whatever the other word, Porn.coms.

03:07:29 - 03:07:33 | Speaker 3:

You probably can make a playlist. Really? I would assume it has its advantages.

03:07:33 - 03:07:40 | Speaker 2:

You probably can bookmark, make playlists. Is it the same thing, like, if you have an Apple Music account or a Spotify account?

03:07:40 - 03:07:41 | Speaker 3:

It's gotta be.

03:07:41 - 03:07:42 | Speaker 2:

Or an iHeartRadio account?

03:07:43 - 03:07:50 | Speaker 3:

You have to. You gotta have favorites. You get premium, no ads. You get no ads. Try to hit a streak about this.

03:07:50 - 03:07:56 | Speaker 2:

To me, it is mind-boggling to me when I hear that people have streaming service porn. You know what I mean?

03:07:57 - 03:07:59 | Speaker 5:

Are there ads? I'm not a porn watcher, truly.

03:07:59 - 03:08:00 | Speaker 2:

Are there ads in porn?

03:08:01 - 03:08:01 | Speaker 5:

Yes, there are.

03:08:01 - 03:08:02 | Speaker 2:

Oh, there's an ad that runs.

03:08:02 - 03:08:04 | Speaker 3:

How long is the porn y'all watching?

03:08:04 - 03:08:12 | Speaker 2:

No, it's right at the beginning of the porn. It will say, are you sure you want to do that to yourself? You could have some girl. It'll be like me. Are you serious?

03:08:12 - 03:08:21 | Speaker 4:

It'll be like meet somebody in real life, try this dating app or something. It's actually really smart. If you're lonely, meet someone.

03:08:21 - 03:08:22 | Speaker 2:

Erica, are you there?

03:08:24 - 03:08:24 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I'm here.

03:08:24 - 03:08:25 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Erica? Hi.

03:08:26 - 03:08:32 | Speaker 6:

I want to comment about the eggs. I feel like they need to put the chickens back in the cages because $4 for eggs is ridiculous.

03:08:32 - 03:08:34 | Speaker 2:

Listen, how about $9 for eggs?

03:08:34 - 03:08:36 | Speaker 6:

I was going to say $4 for eggs is cheap right now.

03:08:36 - 03:08:41 | Speaker 2:

Now that we have these cage-free eggs, it's like $9 for eggs. It's insanity. I don't know.

03:08:42 - 03:08:45 | Speaker 6:

I'm not sure where they're $9, but the Myers by me is $3.99.

03:08:45 - 03:08:55 | Speaker 2:

So, Erica, there's now this whole law for cage-free eggs, and because now you've got to buy fancy eggs in order to. I know.

03:08:56 - 03:09:02 | Speaker 6:

And my family's keto, so eggs and bacon are what we have for breakfast. So I'm rationing out eggs, one egg a person.

03:09:03 - 03:09:11 | Speaker 2:

There's some lawmaker in Michigan that must have a stock in cage-free eggs, and that's the reason why you decided to do this. Brianna, what's going on? Hi.

03:09:12 - 03:09:36 | Speaker 1:

Hi. I just wanted to comment about the eggs as well because my whole philosophy behind it is like, well, the cage-free, are they really being treated better? Because they're still not going outside or anything like that. Exactly. And also, like, the price of healthier, quote-unquote, options should not be more than the stuff that is basically killing us. You know what I mean? Like, that's been my whole thought process on it.

03:09:36 - 03:09:41 | Speaker 2:

We're protecting the egg or the chickens, but we're not protecting the person that's trying to buy the chicken.

03:09:41 - 03:09:52 | Speaker 4:

But it also would be one thing if we were protecting the chicken, but to her point, we're not protecting the chickens. They only need, like, what is it, one square foot of space? Yeah, they cram them in there. Yeah.

03:09:53 - 03:09:55 | Speaker 2:

What is going on, Sydney? Hello, Sydney.

03:09:56 - 03:09:57 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

03:09:57 - 03:09:58 | Speaker 2:

How are you?

03:09:59 - 03:10:00 | Speaker 5:

I'm good. How are you?

03:10:00 - 03:10:06 | Speaker 3:

Fantastic. Oh, Sydney wants to talk to us about the porn in Florida. Yeah, let's talk about that. What did you want to say?

03:10:08 - 03:10:15 | Speaker 5:

Well, because I have a question. Because you said that you went on the porn site while you were in Florida, but did you try X or like Twitter?

03:10:16 - 03:10:25 | Speaker 3:

Bro, Twitter porn is crazy. Well, Twitter, they actually have porn on Twitter? Yeah. I didn't know that. It's better than porn.

03:10:25 - 03:10:26 | Speaker 2:

Let her tell you. Go ahead. Really?

03:10:27 - 03:10:28 | Speaker 3:

You watch your porn on Twitter?

03:10:29 - 03:10:31 | Speaker 2:

I don't trust Twitter to not share my info, though.

03:10:32 - 03:10:39 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Quick question for you. Is it like homemade porn or is it like actual movie movies?

03:10:39 - 03:10:49 | Speaker 5:

Both. No, like they have like movies and they advertise for like OnlyFans and stuff like that on there.

03:10:49 - 03:10:54 | Speaker 2:

Aren't you afraid that Elon Musk one day is going to be like, and we have this option to show who's ever watched this video?

03:10:55 - 03:10:55 | Unknown:

Nah.

03:10:56 - 03:10:57 | Speaker 3:

You just don't trust him, though.

03:10:57 - 03:11:10 | Speaker 2:

i don't i'm telling you somebody else's account so oh hey screw them over do you you don't trust him but you trust everybody else no i don't trust anybody who do i trust you trust me

03:11:10 - 03:11:17 | Speaker 3:

i don't trust anybody uh what's going on how you doing sierra she just by the way basically just

03:11:17 - 03:11:26 | Speaker 2:

said she doesn't trust me no i mean i mean on the internet platform i don't trust instagram and like i don't trust meta i don't trust any of them they are only out to profit off of your

03:11:26 - 03:11:32 | Speaker 3:

information however it benefits them across all of them absolutely uh sierra what's up how you

03:11:32 - 03:12:39 | Speaker 1:

doing hey good um so i moved out and got my first condo and my dad gave me a bunch of furniture and one of his old tvs and i had a friend come over because he's like oh i've got passwords to some of the apps i'll come and log you in we can share i was like okay cool and he's like oh what's this and it's the porn hub app and i said oh i don't know my dad gave me this tv it probably just comes standard on the tv he's like uh no that doesn't come standard your dad bought premium porn hub yeah so listen so i didn't even know that you like people paid for it so i have him like click on it and he's like let's see what your dad's into and i'm like Oh, my God. So we click on it, and it's all girls that are, like, younger than me. Like, old guys with young girls and, like, all this fantasy crap. And I'm just like, wow, this is crazy. But to this day, I mean, I text my brothers, and I told them, I was like, you guys, you're never going to believe this. But we have never spoken about it. My dad has no idea that I know.

03:12:40 - 03:12:44 | Speaker 3:

Wait, you never told your dad that they? No, ever.

03:12:44 - 03:12:45 | Speaker 1:

So hopefully he doesn't listen.

03:12:47 - 03:13:08 | Speaker 3:

I'm sorry, that was old-time porn. What's going on, Ryan? How you doing? How are you? That was, by the way, Shannon's ex's band. What's up, Ryan?

03:13:09 - 03:13:42 | Speaker 6:

Hi, good morning. I definitely wanted to comment on the porn. And as a frequent user myself, I definitely feel like, look, I'm okay. I'm okay admitting that as a gay man to state that. Okay. I definitely feel that it's good that they put that law in place, but I also feel like definitely don't implement it for those frequent, I would say, people that don't actually want to, you know, put out.

03:13:42 - 03:13:45 | Speaker 3:

Ryan, do you have a premium porn account?

03:13:46 - 03:13:52 | Speaker 6:

No, I do not. I do not have a premium porn account. I will never subscribe to anything like that.

03:13:52 - 03:13:55 | Speaker 3:

Hey, as a gay man, do you ever watch straight porn?

03:13:57 - 03:14:13 | Speaker 6:

No, never. I'm sorry, baby. Gross. I cannot do it. I don't know how people do it. I know I only like one thing and one thing only, baby. Will you watch lesbians?

03:14:13 - 03:14:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, do you like... Yeah or no?

03:14:17 - 03:14:21 | Speaker 6:

I definitely wanted to come out here and say that, yes, it's good.

03:14:22 - 03:14:22 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

03:14:22 - 03:14:23 | Speaker 6:

So you're straight phobic.

03:14:24 - 03:14:25 | Speaker 2:

You're heterophobic.

03:14:26 - 03:14:29 | Speaker 3:

Hold on, 90 Day Fiance Dana is on with us. What's up, Dana?

03:14:30 - 03:14:34 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning, Mojo. Good morning, everybody. Happy New Year.

03:14:34 - 03:14:35 | Speaker 3:

Happy New Year, bud.

03:14:35 - 03:14:45 | Speaker 4:

I've been on holiday for a little bit, but since you guys were talking about porn, and I thought I would call in, I'm going to have lunch with my cousin Gino today.

03:14:45 - 03:14:49 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Wait a second. Gino's a porn watcher, isn't he?

03:14:51 - 03:14:54 | Speaker 4:

Exactly. Have you been watching The Last Resort?

03:14:54 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 3:

No. You know what? I haven't, but Chelsea and Misfit Victor have been telling me and keeping me up to date on.

03:15:00 - 03:15:01 | Speaker 1:

All right, it's good stuff, man.

03:15:02 - 03:15:06 | Speaker 6:

And when am I going to get a chance to meet Gino and his ex?

03:15:06 - 03:15:08 | Speaker 1:

We're going to lunch today in Canton.

03:15:08 - 03:15:10 | Speaker 6:

Wait, just you and Gino, though, right?

03:15:11 - 03:15:12 | Speaker 1:

Just me and Gino, yeah.

03:15:12 - 03:15:19 | Speaker 6:

Any good, I don't know, stories you can tell us that will get you in trouble?

03:15:20 - 03:15:25 | Speaker 2:

I think a good question would be what kind of porn does he like to watch?

03:15:25 - 03:15:27 | Speaker 6:

Oh, okay, go ahead. Tell us.

03:15:27 - 03:15:28 | Speaker 2:

No, I don't know.

03:15:29 - 03:15:30 | Speaker 6:

Ask him. Ask him and then call us tomorrow.

03:15:31 - 03:15:32 | Speaker 2:

I will.

03:15:32 - 03:16:42 | Speaker 6:

All right, buddy. We'll talk to you later. See you, Dana. Happy New Year. All right. Happy New Year to you. Oh, my God. I should actually send, you know, in our family group text from time to time. It will be, hey, what's the Netflix password? Or, hey, did somebody change the Hulu password? Like, we'll have that. Should I text in the group text and say, hey, did somebody change the Pornhub password? Oh, my God, please. Please. See what everybody does? is this true i did not even know this uh jimmy john's is bringing back its kickin ranch sauce in several ways so jimmy john's has kickin ranch which i've never tried before but i guess a lot of people must like it because listen to what they're doing they're even going to include kickin' ranch soup on their menu. It's a six-ounce soup-sized container of the sauce that's ideal for slurping, sipping, or dipping. I have never heard of a ranch soup before. Have you ever heard of a ranch soup?

03:16:42 - 03:16:43 | Unknown:

No.

03:16:43 - 03:16:56 | Speaker 6:

Would you ever have soup in ranch form? I don't like ranch. What? Really? Really? You may be. By the way, are you human?

03:16:56 - 03:16:58 | Speaker 4:

I'm not on that for real.

03:16:58 - 03:17:01 | Speaker 6:

I love, you've never tried Jett's Pizza Ranch.

03:17:02 - 03:17:15 | Speaker 4:

I'm just, I'm good. If I get a salad, I'm going balsamic vinaigrette all the time. I agree. What did you call it? Balsamic. Balsamic. Balsamic. Balsamic. Balsamic vinaigrette. That's funny.

03:17:15 - 03:17:43 | Speaker 6:

It's never going to be the same again. This reminds me of when Joey used to say buffet. Yeah. Yeah, and luggages. Luggages. All right. Next story. Next story here. Did you see all this? Shannon's talked about it this morning, the fires that are going out. Awful. But we have a complete list of all the homes that have been lost of celebrities.

03:17:43 - 03:17:46 | Speaker 5:

It's changed. There's so many more.

03:17:46 - 03:18:10 | Speaker 6:

Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, Eugene Levy, Billy Crystal, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Anna Faris, Paris Hilton, Ricky Lake, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, the Matthew Perry home. Is it the home that he actually died in the pool of?

03:18:10 - 03:18:12 | Speaker 5:

Somebody had just bought it too, but yeah.

03:18:12 - 03:19:01 | Speaker 6:

hot tub of james woods mark hamill cameron matheson maria shriver and mandy moore those are some of the celebrities that that have lost their homes due to this fire and did you see the controversy that's happening this morning behind the coverage that's on tv abc news is david muir is now being oh he is on blast he's caught being called narcissistic because last night while he was doing the reporting he was reporting from there out on the the scene and he had a uh a yellow like a rain jacket almost yeah an abc issued rain jacket that he was wearing isn't he supposed to well but the problem was when he turned around he had it uh clipped in the back with one of those

03:19:01 - 03:19:11 | Speaker 5:

wood no they're like they're like clips if you've ever tried on like wedding dresses or formal dresses they clip you in because they're it's usually like something's too big oh so he looked

03:19:11 - 03:19:15 | Speaker 6:

nice on television when people are mad oh yeah people thought that they actually it's like

03:19:15 - 03:19:33 | Speaker 3:

people are people people online are basically saying like all you care about is your image

03:19:33 - 03:19:43 | Speaker 5:

and people are losing everything that they own in their homes. And he's worried about how slim he looks. Exactly. Yeah. Which every news person does that.

03:19:43 - 03:19:45 | Speaker 6:

He does wear his clothes excessively tight.

03:19:46 - 03:19:55 | Speaker 5:

I get that. But, like, if this is a coat he wears all the time, and not to defend him because there's just bigger things to talk about in this story than his jacket, do you think that clip was just already on the jacket?

03:19:56 - 03:19:58 | Speaker 6:

No, I think it was used for that reason.

03:19:59 - 03:19:59 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

03:20:00 - 03:21:23 | Speaker 4:

Don't you think he just left it on? Well, no, I think what happened was I think that these news people have makeup artists. They have stylists. They have people that do things for them. And I think those people come in and they're like, hey, we want to make this look better. It just looks too big on you, so we're going to make it. But the problem is this is the problem with social media. Social media people get all worked up with stuff. Speaking of TV, did you see the TV ratings have come out for the NFL? and actually the viewership is down this year and some people are calling it the Taylor Swift effect. Some people are calling it the Taylor Swift effect last year rose the ratings. Now they're saying it's dropped the ratings and here's a couple of theories behind it. People are thinking that, number one, you couldn't keep up with the ratings that it had last year because it was just crazy with Taylor going to these shows or going to these games. But then some people are saying that the reason why the NFL ratings are down is people are so sick of the Kansas City Chiefs, and it's because of the overexposure of the Kansas City Chiefs. It's an interesting theory because the ratings are down by like 3%. 17 million people watching a game is pretty amazing, though. I mean, that's pretty wild to see that they're getting like 17 million. What did the Lions Sunday night say?

03:21:23 - 03:21:27 | Speaker 1:

Well, at 28 and a half million, it peaked at 31 million.

03:21:28 - 03:21:59 | Speaker 4:

Wow. Like that to me used to be, that used to be a, like a, I don't know, a Super Bowl, but it used to be like a big event. 30 million, 31 million people. I think streaming is affecting it. I really do. And I know that they say that it's not the case, but I think the fact that you don't know where the hell the game is. This weekend it's on Prime. And you know what? I know I've got prime access because I have prime Amazon. But I feel like if I don't know where the hell the game is.

03:21:59 - 03:22:11 | Speaker 1:

But streaming isn't to blame in that scenario. The NFL is because they're making it so incredibly expensive and difficult to watch your team. You have to pay for 17 different services. I wouldn't say it's the services fault.

03:22:11 - 03:22:14 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. No, that's facts. The NFL should stick on one service.

03:22:14 - 03:22:23 | Speaker 3:

Not only them. I mean, this new Valley Sport and our FanDuel. My grandma can't watch any local stuff. It's hell to try to watch a Pistons game now locally.

03:22:23 - 03:23:02 | Speaker 4:

By the way, the teams that they say drew the most viewers I think is bogus. They say it's the Chiefs and the Cowboys followed by the Ravens and the Buffalo Bills. You're telling me the Lions did not draw that many people? Because I've had nothing but people outside of Detroit talking about the Lions. Speaking of the Lions, did you see Amaranth St. Brown is actually now trying to give a little love to that Rochester bakery that made that amazing cake of him and his end zone celebration on his head you know they made this and you saw the picture up on Mojo in the Morning Instagram and Facebook so he talked about it on his podcast so I do have a special
