This is it.

00:02:48 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 3:

All right, are you ready?

00:02:50 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 5:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

00:02:52 - 00:02:53 | Speaker 3:

You're a doo-doo hat.

00:02:57 - 00:03:46 | Unknown:

It's showtime! We'll be right back.

00:03:46 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Welcome to the Mojo on the Morning Show. I'm sorry. I was just trying to warm my hands. I still don't have feeling in them. Just from walking from the parking lot to the building this morning, it is so cold. I thought last week when they said that we had a polar vortex was cold. Did you see the temperatures we're getting this week? Below zero.

00:04:12 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 4:

It's so Midwestern to be like, without the wind, it would be fine. Yeah.

00:04:16 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 3:

Actually, you know what's funny, Megan? With the sun, it makes me feel like it could be like really, really, it could be below zero. But as long as the sun's out, it makes me feel like it's warmer for some reason. I don't know if that's how you guys feel. But it's good to have you guys here. Hope you had a good weekend. Hope everybody on the show had a good weekend. I know we got a lot of stuff that we're going to get to. It was kind of nice to not have a Lions game this weekend, wasn't it? It was nice to have like a little bye week. Got to get some other stuff done. This week's going to be even more incredible because the Lions are firing it up against the Washington Commanders. Bring them on! And that is a Saturday night game, which is great. And also, it's a three-day weekend, so that's going to be cool.

00:04:55 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's right. I just got excited. You just woke me up.

00:04:58 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 3:

So it's going to be a good time.

00:05:00 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 1:

We'll talk about that coming up this morning. We got tickets to give away. We got your chance to see Post Malone and Jelly Roll. Also, Kendrick Lamar and SZA. I'm trying to think of what other. Oh, we pay your bill starting today. Get ready because I saw the envelope from Chase. Actually, I didn't see the envelope. I'm just saying that. I have it all just sent to my email. I finally actually after years of them telling me, Would you like to go, you know, you can choose whether that you want them to send it to you or not send it to you. And so I just have it all computerized.

00:05:38 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 2:

What are you what are you talking about? Are you talking about paperless billing, paperless billing?

00:05:42 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So I'm paperless billing. I got you. That's what I'm talking about.

00:05:46 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 4:

I thought I had a stroke. I speak a different language.

00:05:49 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 1:

It's called mojo here. OK. And that's why Kev is my interpreter. He's the person that he's the person on the side of the screen that goes, here's what that man is trying to say. All right, it's Mojo in the morning show. Hung out with some friends. We were watching football. And you guys tell me if this is, I'll say this. It's a foul. Let's put it in. It's a personal foul. Unnecessary touching of anything in my house. But I had guys over to watch the football games. And we were hanging around. And they were kind of boring anyway. Not the guys, but the games. And I have a system on my house. It's called Ecobee, I believe it is. And it's basically, you know, Amazon's way that you can, through your phone, do your thermostat and stuff. And it's nice to have because if I'm not home, you know, I can, you know, check out my house and make sure everything's okay for the dogs and things like that. Well, these dogs, these guys that were there don't know that it sends me an alert when the temperature changes in the house. like when it's thermostat changed yeah and so it gave me an alert your thermostat just changed to 72 degrees and i'm like how did that just happen i get up and i walk over towards it i see uh this guy dave who's a uh a friend he's actually a dad of one of luke's buddies who's turned into one of my friends i'm like you son of a bitch what are you doing there and he goes he's really cold in here and i go what do you mean it's really cold in here is it cold i set my thermostat at 68

00:07:27 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 4:

degrees is 68 degrees too cold let me tell you yeah my thermostat is colder than yours and if i have guests yeah that's way too cold is it turn that off yeah if you've guessed but if i have

00:07:37 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 1:

guests if the house is warmer because there's a lot of bodies in there it don't work like that

00:07:41 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 3:

oh yes it does i do agree with that if i'm gonna have a lot of people over i turn mine down a little bit but 68's chilly 68 is cold outside really yeah mine's set to 66 or 65 yeah that is absolutely

00:07:54 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 1:

asinine i i see i think that first off dte energy tells me on dte.com slash save energy they tell me that you should always turn your thermostat down that turning your thermostat down actually really if it's more consistent will warm the house to exactly the level that you want it to warm to

00:08:12 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 3:

Mine goes down by itself because I have, like, the Nest or whatever, so I can, like, put a schedule on my phone. Mine goes down at night. To what? So, like, when we all go to bed, I think it does go down to 68, but that's when we're sleeping and nobody's down there, so who cares what the temperature is, and then it goes back up at, like, 4 a.m. when I wake up. How do you dress around your house?

00:08:31 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 1:

So, yesterday I was wearing a pair of joggers, and I had a Michigan State sweatshirt on.

00:08:38 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Because I think some people walk around and they like the summer vibe. So they walk around with a little t-shirt and like a thin pair of pants. Some people even wear shorts. So they like their house a little hotter. Some people like their house a little cooler so they could bundle up with a nice hoodie and get all like that. But if you got guests over, it's about what your guests want. And I guarantee you, he was probably cold as hell for like a half an hour. Just couldn't take it anymore. I'm going over there. I'm turning this up.

00:09:03 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 3:

But I will say, like, your crazy temperature aside, I would never go to somebody's house and without asking, just screw with their thermostat. Yeah, that's mine. Who does that? Would you come over to the house and touch my wife's breasts? Okay. That's pretty much what you're doing. I think that might be apples and oranges. Eat in cheeks. No way. Is there anybody you would do it to? Because there's two people I would do it to. Touch their wife's breasts? Not even my best friends or my sister would I do that without saying, hey, it's freezing. I'm turning it up. Oh, I would do it to my dad and my brother. Really? Without telling them.

00:09:34 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 1:

Because it's family? Yeah. It's like, yeah.

00:09:36 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 2:

See, but when you go over Mojo's house, it's kind of like everything is available for you anyway. Like, you're the type of person who'd be like, oh, go in the refrigerator and get da-da-da. Or go over there and get da-da-da-da-da-da. So they probably just thought it was one of those. Da-da-da-da-da away from my eco-beam.

00:09:50 - 00:09:51 | Unknown:

I don't know.

00:09:51 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 1:

I want to know. I got a couple of questions. I want to know who is the person that has the coldest house that you know of. and Do you touch their thermostat? And then also I want to know if you think that your house should be set at 68 degrees or hotter or lower or whatever, colder. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 or text 95500. Brent, hi.

00:10:19 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 2:

Hi. What's going on? I keep our house at 68 during the day, and then actually at night it's 66. It's not on the schedule. Do you ever go 69?

00:10:29 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 5:

69.

00:10:32 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 1:

Guys always get it.

00:10:33 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 2:

The way I look at it, you can always wear more, you know, sweatshirts and blankets.

00:10:38 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 1:

But if it's a guest, they didn't bring an extra hoodie to your house. Here's the deal. First off, Chelsea has like a basket full of blankets that are sitting there right by the bed.

00:10:48 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 6:

I'm not driving blankets at somebody's house. It's uncomfortable.

00:10:51 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 1:

You should see these blankets. They're very fancy. But I will say.

00:10:54 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 6:

Even more reason not to touch them. I'm just going to fall asleep.

00:10:57 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 2:

Also, adjusting a friend's thermostat is kind of a little insane, too. I mean, I wouldn't just go into someone's house and just a thermostat without asking.

00:11:05 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 1:

I would never honestly go into somebody's house and just open up their refrigerator without asking. Touching their thermostat is even worse. You've got to specifically go in there and seek it out.

00:11:16 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 6:

If I'm comfortable enough to get on your couch and put my feet on your couch, then I'm comfortable enough to touch your thermostat. But if you're the kind of house where I would never, like, curl up and get comfy on the couch, I'm not touching your thermostat.

00:11:26 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 1:

You know what I'm doing next time you come over? I'm putting one of those security plastic pieces like they had at the old radio station over there. You're not allowed to touch this thing. What's up, Sarah? How you doing?

00:11:38 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 4:

I'm good. How are you guys?

00:11:39 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 1:

I'm doing okay. Is it okay to touch somebody's thermostat?

00:11:43 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 4:

No, absolutely. Honestly, and growing up, too. So our house actually is set at 62. And growing up, too, my dad would hate when anyone, yeah, 62. If it got above 63, you're lucky.

00:11:54 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 1:

Wow. So what would you guys do? Would you guys put on your, you know, winter coat?

00:11:58 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 4:

Buzzy socks, your blankets.

00:11:59 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah.

00:12:01 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 4:

Who has to live?

00:12:02 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 1:

That's what mom used to always say. Put on more clothes. You know, like she. We're all not old. We don't have to live like that. Exactly. I'll pay the bills in this house. If I want to turn it up, turn it up. You know what, though?

00:12:12 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 4:

It's not that bad. You get used to it after a while.

00:12:15 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 1:

I don't think.

00:12:16 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 4:

And then honestly, when you go over to someone else's house or like, it's like, I'm like sweating. I'm like, it's so warm in here.

00:12:23 - 00:12:38 | Speaker 1:

62 degrees seems rather cold. to me 68 degrees does not seem that bad like 60 62 degrees i'd still probably wear shorts if it was like 62 degrees outside but in my house where there's no sun shining in you know what i mean

00:12:38 - 00:12:45 | Speaker 4:

you just you sit by the window you know you cozy up you get used to it okay all right i like her

00:12:45 - 00:12:52 | Speaker 1:

uh what's going on how you doing amanda good morning everybody amanda goes colder than 62

00:12:52 - 00:12:59 | Speaker 6:

degrees where do you guys go uh 60 oh my god lord jesus don't ever have me over i just worry about

00:12:59 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 5:

the pipes at that point is is that okay for your pets they yes they are very comfortable um my dog he doesn't get a haircut in the winter so he gets to grow his fur um but i do have like a you know like a there is like um a space like an oil space heater and stuff it's just when i go higher it it's so expensive so but i'm actually really comfortable i'm in a pair of pants and a t-shirt

00:13:26 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 1:

okay so yeah but but do you ever like want to put on something like less or 60 degrees make it that you're always wearing a lot of clothes

00:13:34 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 5:

um no it's it's that's where we've been comfortable at and i've kind of turned into my dad where if you're cold put on a hoodie yeah how about this one somebody just said that their

00:13:48 - 00:13:52 | Speaker 1:

Grandma keeps their home at 78 degrees.

00:13:52 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 6:

I would love that.

00:13:55 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 1:

I'm feeling like grandma's house not only is hot, but it also smells. It's got like mothball-y or something like that. Another person here, maybe let's try to get this person on. 734 Lydia. I'm black. My house stays at 80 degrees. White people wear shorts in the winter, so it's a difference. The second part of that sentence is true. 80 degrees in the crib is insane. That's craziness. What's up, Valerie? How you doing?

00:14:23 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 3:

Hi. I keep mine at 62, and if I have company, I give them 65 at a blankie. You're so blue. I give them. At a blankie.

00:14:32 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 5:

You are so generous.

00:14:35 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 1:

Wait, Artie, here's a question for you, Valerie, then. In the summertime, what do you keep your AC at?

00:14:42 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 3:

What AC?

00:14:44 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 1:

You're not turning anything on. Hey, get a fan. That's my dad.

00:14:48 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 3:

I put my money in my pocket.

00:14:53 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 1:

Valerie, you're the best. I love her. It was funny, though, because every guy then was starting to argue about him.

00:15:00 - 00:15:17 | Speaker 4:

We all gave analogies. Like I gave the, you know, what are you going to come over here and touch Chelsea's tees? You know what I mean? And then one guy goes, yeah, what are you going to do? You go and use the bathroom inside the master bedroom? And one of the guys goes, oh, we're not supposed to do that? Just did it a couple seconds ago.

00:15:17 - 00:15:22 | Speaker 6:

office this morning is warning residents of a particularly dangerous situation and that is red flag winds that are moving into the area tomorrow and wednesday winds that could be strong enough to cause explosive fire growth so that's not good now crews from california eight other states canada and mexico are now part of the ongoing response to this mel gibson i saw on an interview he did over the weekend, he revealed that he lost his Malibu home while he was away filming an episode of Joe Rogan's podcast. That tapes in Austin. And he said when he got home, sure enough, his house was just gone.

00:20:40 - 00:20:50 | Speaker 1:

But this time Nick came from the other direction and really nailed me. And I have never seen a place so perfectly burnt. It is like, it's kind of, you could put it in an urn, you know?

00:20:50 - 00:21:24 | Speaker 2:

He said his entire house you could put in an urn. like just absolutely nothing left randomly his chickens survived that um i noticed this morning that jared and kristin goff are doing something um really incredible and they are asking people in the la area obviously they were a part of the la rams and in that community but they are asking people to submit their amazon wish lists to them and they're going to try to take care of as many amazon wish lists for necessities as they possibly can which i thought it was really amazing so shout

00:21:24 - 00:22:19 | Speaker 3:

out to them by the way shout out also to the uh cardinals owner the arizona cardinals the game tonight is between la and uh minnesota he sent two planes to pick up every member of the la rams including office staff and family members them their family members and their pets to come to Arizona to stay in Arizona and to be there last week so that they could get ready for this game, which is happening on Sunday. And I thought that was actually like pretty cool. They say that that game is sold out. And when they talk about sold out, they gave away tickets and they also gave all the Rams, you know, fans. So many Rams fans right now are in Phoenix because that's where they're staying because you can't find hotels anywhere close to L.A. So a lot of people went to Phoenix as a place to get away from this. So they say that it will feel like an L.A. Rams home game tonight.

00:22:19 - 00:22:38 | Speaker 4:

Can I give a shout out? Yeah. Man, it's like a boutique in L.A. I don't know what name it is, but a bunch of people, Halle Berry being one of them. Oh, Coop. Yeah, Coop. They've turned a boutique in like a fire relief pop-up and a bunch of celebrities, Halle Berry being one of them, donating their entire closet so people can get clothes. Yeah, that's pretty amazing.

00:22:39 - 00:23:17 | Speaker 2:

Justin Bieber is reportedly planning a comeback this year. So be on the lookout for new music from Him Believers. I was very excited when I heard this over the weekend, but sources telling me he is currently in a studio working on new music and even plans to tour at some point this year. And the rumor is not only does he want to make new music, but he's also back because of some financial needs. If you remember, he canceled part of his 2022-2023 tour because he had that, what the heck was it called? Ramsey Hunt syndrome, I think it was called. So he had to deal with that. But the last album that Bieber put out was 2021's Justice. So it is time for some new music from Justin.

00:23:17 - 00:23:21 | Speaker 3:

There's no way he's broke. I think he had some bad financial people with him.

00:23:21 - 00:23:22 | Speaker 2:

I don't know that he's broke.

00:23:22 - 00:23:33 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, no, they say that he's not as wealthy as a guy his age that has made as much money as he has. Really? Yeah, that he got scammed by some financial advisors, too.

00:23:33 - 00:23:33 | Speaker 4:

Crazy.

00:23:34 - 00:23:51 | Speaker 2:

Mark Zuckerberg opening up about his experience with the Biden administration, censoring some of the content on Facebook, including memes about the COVID-19 pandemic. The Meta CEO said his team was always threatened if they didn't remove certain posts. This is from Joe Rogan.

00:23:51 - 00:24:22 | Speaker 5:

This meme of Leonardo DiCaprio looking at a TV, talking about how 10 years from now or something, you know, you're going to see an ad that says, okay, if you took a COVID vaccine, you're eligible, you know, like for this kind of payment, like this sort of like class action lawsuit type meme. And they're like, no, you have to take that down. We said no. And then at some point, these people from the Biden administration would call up our team and, like, scream at them and curse. Did you record any of those phone calls? I don't know. I don't think we've. But I think. I want to listen. I mean, there are emails.

00:24:23 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 2:

He said basically it got to the point where his team was like, no, we are not going to take down things that are true. That is ridiculous. And they moved on. And I'm not alone with this one. And you guys make fun of me all the time. Spare underwear is a thing for 70 percent of people. Pulled by Hanes recently, 39% of people pack an extra pair of undies on a daily basis for various reasons. Some are anticipating potential accidents. Some simply know they'll need a wardrobe change for refreshing during their day. And 18% acknowledge their tendency to spill things on themselves. And it's mostly Gen Z and millennials that are doing this. The research.

00:25:00 - 00:25:26 | Speaker 5:

Again, this is by Haynes, also offered insight onto or into rather how long Americans hold onto their undies. On average, people keep their underwear for three years with a very dedicated 10 percent maintaining their collection for six years or more. And the average American maintains just four, quote unquote, good pairs of underwear in the rotation, while women typically have three good bras on hand.

00:25:26 - 00:25:28 | Speaker 3:

What would be considered a good pair of underwear?

00:25:28 - 00:25:39 | Speaker 5:

one without holes or what would it be like i have my good underwear that i would wear for like a special occasion i don't know like underwear that i wouldn't mind being seen versus like what

00:25:39 - 00:25:49 | Speaker 4:

i'm wearing today my amazon underwear i'm sorry one of the reasons that you mentioned was people spilling things on themselves yeah what are you spilling on yourself that you need i don't know

00:25:49 - 00:25:54 | Speaker 5:

i thought that one was weird too i i just like changing for to feel fresh but i also think 40

00:25:54 - 00:26:00 | Speaker 6:

percent is high yeah it's close to half of the people in your life carrying underwear yeah no

00:26:00 - 00:26:05 | Speaker 5:

The 5 of 655. Your challenger is Megan from Clinton Township. She says she's taking the kids to school. And you're also a tech in an emergency room. 00:27:40 - 00:27:41 | Speaker 2:

00:29:04 - 00:29:06 | Speaker 5:

Well, she only got two out of five.

00:29:06 - 00:29:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she only got two.

00:29:07 - 00:29:07 | Speaker 5:

I have the pretty ones, aren't you?

00:29:07 - 00:29:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you got the dumb look down.

00:29:09 - 00:29:11 | Speaker 3:

Yes. I could have done that one, or?

00:29:11 - 00:29:16 | Speaker 4:

You was a dumb mother f***er, too, okay? Two dumb motherf***ers. I hope y'all dumb motherf***ers very happy together.

00:29:16 - 00:29:18 | Speaker 6:

I tried to call you pretty, Megan.

00:29:19 - 00:29:20 | Speaker 3:

You want the pretty ones?

00:29:20 - 00:29:20 | Unknown:

All right.

00:29:20 - 00:30:00 | Speaker 3:

I can do well. Why are the pretty ones always so dumb? All right, that's a better one. All right, here we go. Eric, question number one. By the way, I hope I'm never in the emergency room at McLaren. She's going to go, remember this, dumb? I'm like, oh, God. All right, here we go. Question number one, Eric. The Lions will play in the divisional round on Saturday. What team are they going to play? 00:30:00 - 00:30:06 | Speaker 2:

Bieber is going to be releasing some new music this year. True or false, Justin was born in Canada.

00:30:07 - 00:30:10 | Speaker 1:

True. Yes. Three to one.

00:30:10 - 00:30:18 | Speaker 2:

Question number four. Friday was a big day for this Today Show host. It was her last day anchoring the program. Who is she?

00:30:19 - 00:30:23 | Speaker 1:

Oh, what's her name? Oh, she left in the van.

00:30:26 - 00:30:27 | Speaker 2:

Hoda Kotb.

00:30:27 - 00:30:28 | Speaker 1:

Three to one. Hoda.

00:30:28 - 00:30:43 | Speaker 2:

And in question number five, this Wolf of Wall Street and Titanic star is being blasted for fleeing the L.A. wildfires on a private jet. What's his name? Leo DiCaprio. There you go.

00:30:43 - 00:30:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, four to two final score.

00:30:46 - 00:30:55 | Speaker 2:

By the way, if you don't think that every celebrity left on a private jet, those guys, you know what I mean?

00:30:55 - 00:30:57 | Speaker 1:

They're just trying to find something to pick up.

00:30:57 - 00:31:23 | Speaker 2:

I think it's his history. Well, I think he's got great history. He's a great actor. Yeah, but he advocates for not. Is he in the Epstein files or the Diddy stuff? Because if he is. I think that, by the way, his fire was to burn all evidence of everybody. Don't you guys? No, I don't. I've been deep down those conspiracy files about this. You don't believe so?

00:31:23 - 00:31:25 | Speaker 1:

No, I saw you on an acid trip this weekend.

00:31:26 - 00:32:06 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you. I think there's something to this thing. Don't ever doubt me. I was right about everything. Actually, I wasn't. I was wrong. I thought everybody was wacky. Now I'm on the conspiracy train. Congratulations. We have a prize for you, Megan. We're going to set you up with... Oh, good. This is good. You've heard the auto show is going to be going on. It's going on until January the 20th. We got a four-pack of tickets for you to go to the Detroit Auto Show. happening at Huntington Place. Tickets are on sale right now at DetroitAutoShow.com. Kev and Shannon, you guys went. You guys looked fabulous. Thank you. It was fine.

00:32:06 - 00:32:09 | Speaker 1:

It was really fun. We looked good. Come on, mama.

00:32:09 - 00:32:17 | Speaker 2:

It was amazing. Beautiful people, all dressed beautifully. Was it a good show? Should people go see it? Oh, absolutely. All right.

00:32:17 - 00:32:19 | Speaker 1:

It was my first time, and I thought it was really cool.

00:32:19 - 00:33:12 | Speaker 2:

That's cool. All right. Hang on one second, guys. We'll get you set up with that Eric C tomorrow. It's Mojo in the mornings. Five is 6.55. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live. All right. It's Mojo in the Morning. I want to talk more about the auto show coming up this morning. Probably within the next hour or so. Because there's some crazy stuff you guys said that happened there. They've had, like, cops on megaphones talking. So we'll talk about that coming up here in a little bit. It's Mojo in the morning show. Kev had a big weekend. He was out and about all weekend long. Outside. Friday night out. He had a couple of dates that we were talking about.

00:33:12 - 00:33:13 | Speaker 1:

I only had one date.

00:33:13 - 00:33:21 | Speaker 2:

Okay, we'll talk about that coming up. But then on Saturday night, you went out after the Pistons game. Yeah. And you ran into somebody.

00:33:22 - 00:33:22 | Speaker 1:

I did.

00:33:22 - 00:33:24 | Speaker 2:

That could be a very awkward time.

00:33:24 - 00:34:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I ran into my ex. And this is the ex that predates Sherelle. So this is before Sherelle ex. Okay. So my girl, what'd you say? Where'd you run into her? Church? So my girl, Lo, no, we definitely wasn't at church. We were singing, though, but it wasn't gospel songs. My girl, Lo, she manages L Club. And they had like a 2000s party. And y'all remember speaking about Diddy earlier, making the band. Wait, that's so funny. Remember Day 26, the all-male group from Making the Band? No. I got to get y'all on Day 26. They got several R&B bangers. Who else was there with them? That's just them. That's all you need. If you're a Day 26 fan, we in there.

00:34:01 - 00:34:03 | Speaker 2:

You don't need Day 27. Yeah.

00:34:04 - 00:34:18 | Speaker 1:

I didn't know if there were other bands or artists from the early 2000s that were there. Can you sing one song? Which one won't? You got CoStar, Are We In This Together, Exclusive. What was the one that we would know? I don't know if y'all would know any of them. Okay. But they are banging on them. Move out.

00:34:19 - 00:34:22 | Speaker 2:

Let's get to him running into this. This right here.

00:34:22 - 00:34:23 | Speaker 1:

He's just wondering.

00:34:23 - 00:34:28 | Speaker 2:

This right here is the blah, blah, blah. I want to get to the girl. All right, Ben.

00:34:28 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 1:

So, yeah. So, my whole heart and soul is like, I'm about to come here and I'm about to sing these songs. So, in my singing, I look over at the bar. It's not really a line. I'm like, bet. Now's the time for me to go grab my Tito's and lemonade. Go grab my Tito's and lemonade. Shout out to True, who was pouring the drinks. Left her the tip. Come back. And then, boom, who do I see but my ex? Haven't seen her since the day that I left her bed. Oh, so it's been years. No, it's been several years. And why'd you break up? This is important to the story. Um, because.

00:35:00 - 00:36:11 | Speaker 3:

i have fell in love with sherelle oh okay wow for real and i i it's and here here's the thing because like when i first said i'm like i don't know she want her name shut it off so i'm like and then she immediately had to oh my god it's you face but it wasn't like she hated me face it was like a oh god here you are it was like a funny embarrassed kind of joking kind of awkward face i could tell it was good vibes wrapped underneath this like squinched up emoji she had on her face so i went up to her i kind of like tried i don't know if we hug we probably hug but outside of that we probably talked at the end of the show for at least an hour oh and and i had the opportunity crazy the smile off your face i had the opportunity to apologize to her for not being the best person towards the end of our relationship which is something that well one i realized i was blocked in her phone so i couldn't have called her and apologized how did you realize Cause I told her to take my number and then she was like, you blocked it. And then she showed me her block voice and it was full of people in there. But yeah, and she told me some of the things that I like said to her towards the end of our relationship that really made me feel like I wasn't as good of a person to her as I thought I was.

00:36:11 - 00:36:12 | Speaker 2:

Like what?

00:36:12 - 00:36:21 | Speaker 3:

She said I was laying in her bed one day and was like, how would you feel if I dated somebody that you knew? And I had to, I guess.

00:36:21 - 00:36:22 | Speaker 1:

While you were dating her still.

00:36:22 - 00:36:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I think this had to be like the last time or something like that. I think I was so checked out of the relationship before the end of the relationship that I just didn't care and I wasn't a good person at that time and I had to be talking about Sherelle because that was the next place I went to but just to have the audacity to have that conversation or to think that that was okay like I just wasn't a good person even though I thought I was a good person you know like hindsight is 20-20 or they say like life is lived forwards but understood backwards like it's not until you get to the future that you understand what you really were I've never heard that. That's really good.

00:36:56 - 00:37:10 | Speaker 2:

So let me rewind a little bit because this caught my ear. The last time that you saw her was when you left her bed, you said. So you basically walked out and her never called her ever again, did a whole, you know, ghosting.

00:37:11 - 00:37:40 | Speaker 3:

Or did you try that she was blocked? No, no, it wasn't a ghost situation. Our relationship, like, we were, it was, things weren't amazing towards the end of the relationship. So there was like, you know, it was choppy. The waves were choppy, so to speak. And our last time was like, I knew in my mind this was about to be our last time type smash. That kind of was it. And after that, my mind was I'm always focused on where I'm going, you know, so to speak. So once I realized that that chapter was closed, there was no reason to.

00:37:40 - 00:37:50 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so you say that you guys got an opportunity to talk. You realized that you were not the greatest, so you apologized to her. She accepted your apology.

00:37:50 - 00:37:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, for sure.

00:37:51 - 00:37:55 | Speaker 2:

Did enough Tito and Lemonades happen where you guys will talk again?

00:37:55 - 00:38:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I hope so. Really? I don't want to have any animosity, no negativity. I have her number. We texted a little bit yesterday, just kind of like, you know. Flirty texting? No, no flirty texting. That's another thing I'm not trying. I'm not trying to open any doors like, you know, I'm not trying to circle a block.

00:38:11 - 00:38:14 | Speaker 2:

Okay. You don't want to go back, you don't want to go back, you want to go forward.

00:38:14 - 00:38:22 | Speaker 3:

You said get her number? Then why? Just to be friends. Yeah. Yeah, not to like have sex or. or anything like that. Friends or friendly?

00:38:23 - 00:38:25 | Speaker 1:

Whatever. He just said he doesn't want to have sex with me.

00:38:25 - 00:38:26 | Speaker 2:

No, I know, but I just want to judge.

00:38:26 - 00:38:32 | Speaker 3:

I just want to be cool with people. I just want it to be love. Everything is love. I don't want to text any of my exes.

00:38:34 - 00:38:48 | Speaker 2:

This side of Kevin's coming out, by the way. This is killer Kevin right now. What side of Kevin? The last week with two girls and the same date, and then here comes the ex. We find out in your past. I didn't know your past. I did not do a good enough background check out you.

00:38:48 - 00:38:50 | Speaker 3:

Whatever you want to know, I'm open book.

00:38:50 - 00:38:55 | Speaker 2:

I did not know your, you know, love him and leave him.

00:38:56 - 00:39:05 | Speaker 3:

It wasn't like that, man. It wasn't like that. Oh, is that day 26? Which one is this one? This isn't day 26.

00:39:06 - 00:39:08 | Speaker 2:

No, this is a classic right here.

00:39:09 - 00:39:13 | Speaker 1:

Oh, go down it. Go down it. You hit that note, Sammy.

00:39:13 - 00:39:19 | Speaker 2:

I thought it started sooner. You was in pocket. Kevin hanging out at what's the club? Legends? L Club. L Club.

00:39:20 - 00:39:24 | Speaker 1:

She's on your phone. Don't you remember the song? I do. I do not.

00:39:25 - 00:39:56 | Speaker 2:

What you going to do when Kevin calls you? I don't know. You got to put that day 26, bro. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, 844-MOJO-LIVE. I want to ask this question. How many people have ever gotten a chance to run into the ex just to say, hey, you know what? All things are good. Come on. We've grown up. Let's be able to kind of make men's. Have you ever made men's with an ex or had an ex make men's with you? And was it over Tito in Lemonade, huh?

00:40:00 - 00:40:08 | Speaker 4:

I will say this, too, though.

00:40:09 - 00:40:23 | Speaker 6:

You got to be, shout out to her for being open and willing to have that conversation. Because after somebody does you inappropriately or does you wrong, sometimes you can just put that wall up and she could have just said, I don't want to talk to you. Get out of my face. I'm glad she didn't do that.

00:40:23 - 00:40:26 | Speaker 1:

Wait, so I missed this if you already said it. Have you heard from her since Saturday night?

00:40:26 - 00:40:27 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, for sure. Okay.

00:40:27 - 00:40:50 | Speaker 7:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, or text is 95500. I would love, love, love, love, love, love to know if you've ever had the ex run in like this, and where was it, and how did you react, and was it as boring as Kevin's is right now?

00:40:50 - 00:40:51 | Speaker 6:

What did you want to have happen?

00:40:51 - 00:41:00 | Speaker 7:

I think something, you know, would have been nice to know that you went back to the bed. The scene of the crime. Shay, what do you think? Shay, what's up?

00:41:01 - 00:41:16 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. So I actually, I have kids with my ex, but they're adult children. But I do, like, I had him over for Thanksgiving. I don't want to have a relationship with him. I really still have some animosity toward him because he owes me a lot of effing money.

00:41:17 - 00:41:18 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yeah.

00:41:18 - 00:41:19 | Speaker 4:

Right.

00:41:19 - 00:41:24 | Speaker 7:

But you're making nice enough with him for the kids probably then, right?

00:41:25 - 00:41:33 | Speaker 5:

Well, I mean, I fed him, so yeah. You fed him. No poison. Right. No poison.

00:41:33 - 00:41:37 | Speaker 7:

How much Tito's and lemonade would it take for you to get back in bed with him?

00:41:38 - 00:41:46 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. A lot. Like a couple gallons? That reason it probably has to be intravenously. Gallons of Tito's. A lot of times. A lot of times. A lot of times.

00:41:46 - 00:41:49 | Speaker 7:

A lot of times. A lot of times. What's going on? How are you doing, Becky?

00:41:50 - 00:41:52 | Speaker 2:

Hey, good. How are you guys? We're good.

00:41:52 - 00:41:53 | Speaker 7:

What's going on?

00:41:54 - 00:43:05 | Speaker 2:

So, I've got a good ex story. I dated this guy on again off again high school college we were best friends when we weren't you know dating um I ended up setting him up with another good friend and I was elated that you know uh I didn't have to worry about any jealousy because I knew her she knew my background and passed with him um fast forward to the part where they get married and he basically excommunicated me um and i wasn't invited to the wedding uh like three years later i go to another uh that uh fred uh birthday party for her daughter they're there and i was just being cordial with him and she came out of the bathroom and was like we're leaving um it was it's so ridiculous she still to this day will not talk to me i can't be friends with him and here's the deal you you set your ex up with him though that's interesting yeah yeah so i i just assumed that everything was approved she didn't like that we were very very close yeah um and there were no there were no feelings from my end looking back in hindsight like kevin was saying that's uh i think he still

00:43:05 - 00:43:38 | Speaker 7:

like i don't know why she would have a problem with that you're the one that gave uh gave him but she just said she thinks he still had feelings uh well still though it but you obviously wouldn't give it to him if you had feelings, wouldn't give him up. What's up, Tim? What's going on? Mojo, it sounds like you are pushing way too much. You're trying to live vicariously through Kevin's stories. Come on, man. I live vicariously through everybody's stories. I got to be quite honest with you, though. No, I really don't want Kevin's life is exhausting to me. He works like five different jobs. He's got girls in every single corner. I don't

00:43:38 - 00:44:16 | Speaker 3:

on any of that part buddy uh what's up hannah how you doing hi so i had like a downtown party in my small town and i was six months you were say that again you cut out you're what uh i saw my ex at this downtown party we had in my small town okay and we were broken up for like six months it's still fresh and we started being friendly and then my my best friend at the time which she's actually my boyfriend now. My best friend at the time came up and hugged me and picked me up and spun me around, and it made my ex so uncomfortable.

00:44:16 - 00:44:17 | Speaker 7:

Isn't that great?

00:44:17 - 00:44:25 | Speaker 3:

And actually, like, a couple months after that, we got back together, me and my ex, and then broke up, and now me and my best friend are two.

00:44:25 - 00:44:27 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so happy ending. You the problem.

00:44:27 - 00:44:28 | Speaker 3:

I like it.

00:44:28 - 00:44:33 | Speaker 7:

Do you remember the song that was playing when he spun you? Was it, like, something good?

00:44:33 - 00:44:38 | Speaker 3:

No, I don't. It was like a small-town band, so they really weren't playing any great.

00:44:38 - 00:44:42 | Speaker 7:

That's kind of cool, though, that your best friend came to make him jealous, and now you and the best friend are together.

00:44:42 - 00:44:44 | Speaker 6:

No, not anymore because she went and slept with the ex.

00:44:45 - 00:44:47 | Speaker 7:

No, but I thought she got back together with the best friend again.

00:44:47 - 00:44:49 | Speaker 6:

No, no, she got back with the ex.

00:44:49 - 00:44:54 | Speaker 3:

I got back with the ex the first time, and then now I was my best friend.

00:44:54 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 6:

Okay, so when you were in the relationship, did you mess with the best friend at the same time?

00:45:00 - 00:45:32 | Speaker 4:

no not at all i actually i had i didn't have feelings for him at all like it was just like he you know he's my best friend i don't ever want to ruin that and like after me and my ex broke up the last time like we started becoming friends again and i was like okay actually i think i like this guy and now we've been dating for almost a year i need to know what bar this was at yeah he was flying it was like it was a small town called napoleon it's like i know where napoleon Yeah, it was like an alley party. That's all it was. So the best friend was really your ex's cousin, too, because it's so brilliant.

00:45:33 - 00:45:34 | Speaker 2:

Is that how it is?

00:45:34 - 00:45:38 | Speaker 4:

There's like three people out there. How are they related? How are they blood related?

00:45:39 - 00:45:41 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Jennifer? Hi.

00:45:42 - 00:45:44 | Speaker 5:

Good morning, guys. Happy New Year.

00:45:44 - 00:45:49 | Speaker 2:

Hey, we can't say that anymore. That's over with. It's almost Dr. Mom of the King Day, man. It's over.

00:45:49 - 00:45:53 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I guess you're right. You could just let her say it. No.

00:45:53 - 00:45:56 | Speaker 2:

We love you, Jen. Thank you. Shut it down. Yeah.

00:45:57 - 00:46:23 | Speaker 5:

So I saw an ex of almost five years ago yesterday, which was really nice. We had lunch, and I needed some work done at my house, so I invited him back. Oh, my God. You sneak. And then we kind of sort of rekindled things, I think. What do you mean, you think? How fast after he walked through that door did you rekindle things?

00:46:23 - 00:46:24 | Speaker 2:

You made him do the work first.

00:46:25 - 00:46:27 | Speaker 5:

Well, I made him do the work first.

00:46:27 - 00:46:29 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, exactly. Both of y'all work.

00:46:30 - 00:46:31 | Speaker 5:

You know what, though?

00:46:31 - 00:46:32 | Speaker 2:

Was that kind of a payment?

00:46:35 - 00:46:38 | Speaker 5:

Maybe a repayment for the way things had ended five years ago.

00:46:39 - 00:46:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah. Well, we love you, Jen. Thank you so much. I love this text. 734 says, I absolutely loved Kev with Sherelle, but Kev dating might make this show the best content of 2025. There is some content here. Holy Christ.

00:46:56 - 00:46:57 | Speaker 1:

Shout out to Sheree.

00:46:57 - 00:46:59 | Speaker 2:

Misfit Nicole. The boo boy.

00:46:59 - 00:47:00 | Speaker 1:

What do you say that? The boo boy.

00:47:00 - 00:47:06 | Speaker 2:

No, I just want to make sure I'm... I love her, so she's still friends. With Misfit Nicole, are you there?

00:47:07 - 00:47:09 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I am. Good morning. Good morning.

00:47:10 - 00:47:15 | Speaker 2:

Nicole, there's no exes out there. There was only one love of your life, and I know him, and he's a good-looking man.

00:47:16 - 00:47:42 | Speaker 6:

No, what happened when I made my Facebook diagnosis that I had breast cancer, my axis changed flood they felt like I was almost you know when you make that announcement people don't look at you as a survivor you know it's kind of weird people who got through breast cancer would know what I mean so like you know how people inbox you and they're all expressing their conductors they was inboxing me expressing they loved me like I was out of here

00:47:42 - 00:47:56 | Speaker 2:

how did that handsome man of yours take that how did the I didn't tell now he knows That is wild, by the way. That's nice that they'll come back, though, and say, hey, we're praying for you. We love you. You know, stuff like that.

00:47:58 - 00:48:02 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but it's weird because I'm not out of here yet. It's a virus.

00:48:02 - 00:48:04 | Speaker 2:

Any of those guys wanting a hookup?

00:48:05 - 00:48:08 | Speaker 6:

Of course. Yeah, because they thought I was out of here. They thought you were dying.

00:48:09 - 00:48:11 | Speaker 2:

I'll give you one last one.

00:48:11 - 00:48:16 | Speaker 6:

I was trying to get that one last hand in. I'm like, no, I'm good. It's stage one.

00:48:16 - 00:48:17 | Speaker 2:

Go out with a bang, Misfit Nicole.

00:48:18 - 00:48:19 | Speaker 6:

I'm so mad.

00:48:19 - 00:48:22 | Speaker 2:

Misfit Nicole's not going anywhere. God kept you here on this earth for us, okay?

00:48:23 - 00:48:27 | Speaker 6:

Absolutely, absolutely. I'm loving this new side of camp, though. It's making the show interesting.

00:48:27 - 00:48:30 | Speaker 2:

It is interesting, isn't it? It's crazy.

00:48:30 - 00:48:32 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, it is. I'm like, okay, camp.

00:48:33 - 00:48:56 | Speaker 2:

00:49:02 - 00:49:14 | Speaker 1:

00:49:14 - 00:49:17 | Speaker 3:

Go Lions. How can you not love this team?

00:49:17 - 00:49:28 | Speaker 2:

this is mojo in the morning mojo in the morning i feel like there's a an apartment cloud over kp maybe kp needs to go back home with mom because i was thinking i maybe i should go back and live

00:49:28 - 00:49:33 | Speaker 4:

with grandma gramps i really probably oh my god i felt so bad for you yesterday it's the way that

00:49:33 - 00:49:38 | Speaker 2:

you left them that so how it has got uh god saying all right kp we're sending you back to

00:49:38 - 00:49:42 | Speaker 4:

grandma and grandpa's way that i love my grandparents yeah you know they were kind

00:49:42 - 00:49:52 | Speaker 2:

of like loving you being there and stuff like that i was loving being there are you kidding You know, the old senior citizen home or senior citizen community. Do you ever go back and visit them and the old neighbors come out and say hi to you?

00:49:53 - 00:49:58 | Speaker 4:

The one neighbor next door does, yeah. The others stay inside unless it's gardening season.

00:49:59 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:50:00 - 00:50:07 | Speaker 1:

I do miss them. Well, KP had an issue happen last night. And it always happens late like this. What happened to you?

00:50:07 - 00:51:45 | Speaker 3:

I got home and my key fob wasn't unlocking. So I got inside the building, but my actual apartment door was not opening. And I didn't know what to do. So I called the apartment. It went right to voicemail and it said, actually, I recorded it because I was so shocked. It literally said, if you are here for lockout issue, call Locksmith. and it hung up and i'm like what do you mean call a locksmith this is like don't apartments have 24-hour maintenance shouldn't all they should yeah yeah like if a resident gets locked out and like in this instance i didn't lose my key like legit the key fob wasn't opening it was literally like blinking red i'm like how am i supposed to get in how is a locksmith supposed to get in this and i ended up getting a hold of a locksmith he showed up this guy looks like he's like from timu if amazon had a service to unlock doors it would be this guy because he came in he was sweating profusely like this guy who's like it looked like he was like maybe 23 years old his he's got his shoes were like untied he's got all of his kit like he's he's literally goes up to my door and he starts banging on it with a hammer and then he rips apart the key fob actual key fab and then this guy pulls out a saw a saw it is 9 30 and he is sawing and i have a video actually sent to the chat because there were sparks i felt like i needed a welding mask just just to watch him do this oh my god and i didn't send this video to you guys last night this is a

00:51:45 - 00:51:50 | Speaker 2:

new one what look at he literally cut your door out of the door frame he did he cut it and you

00:51:50 - 00:51:55 | Speaker 3:

could literally see into my apartment through a circle it's like your woodworking class i know

00:51:55 - 00:52:01 | Speaker 1:

so this is this is the guy this is the guy sawing your uh i don't know why this audio is not playing

00:52:01 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 2:

but oh there he does not look like he knows what he's doing kp no no this guy looks like he knows

00:52:08 - 00:52:11 | Speaker 1:

what he's doing but he looks like he's robbed a few of these homes look at him sweating look at

00:52:11 - 00:52:16 | Speaker 3:

this the beads of sweat coming down oh my god what was the guy's uh first name you know i can't

00:52:16 - 00:52:29 | Speaker 1:

remember guido or something miguel miguel this guy this guy looks like he is going in on this house like like he is uh he's gonna look for right away for the valuables you know what he told me

00:52:29 - 00:52:41 | Speaker 3:

i was like so uh what did you do before you were a locksmith and he's like oh i used to do illegal stuff thank god you had this spare to my temporary key to my apartment complex like this guy's coming

00:52:41 - 00:52:52 | Speaker 1:

in so you have go back you have a key fob like like you have at a um hotel like one of those things you just wave it in front of it exactly and that's how you get into your apartment exactly

00:52:52 - 00:54:05 | Speaker 3:

and i knew this was going to be a problem because there's no actual key key like if you get if that breaks for some reason you have no way to get the power goes out too what happens in that case exactly there's no there's no solution and then i was just shocked like that the answer to the lockout solution was call locksmith that's crazy that's right too high for that oh absolutely for sure and then i get a call so i i ended up finding a phone number from somebody that works there like that wasn't provided it was something i literally found and i'm like hey i don't know what to do i'm locked out and then i get a call from the uh leasing lady an hour after i told them i was locked out and she's like i'm on my way i'm gonna reset it for you i'm like i'm sorry this team the locksmith already ripped apart my door like and she's like oh it's 600 you shouldn't have done that i'm like well i shouldn't have been locked up nikki what'd you want to say i was just gonna say kp better not get in charge for that damn door damage i had to call the locksmith and you know what this guy said he had to have someone come i i said to him now are you gonna bill me or can you just build the apartment i'll give the the address the apartment build them he's like no i need payment on site i'm like all right i'm gonna send me a receipt and he's like can i charge you more because you're going to ask for a refund from the apartment. I'm like, no!

00:54:06 - 00:54:08 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if they're going to give me a refund. No, no, no.

00:54:09 - 00:54:10 | Speaker 1:

What's up with that?

00:54:11 - 00:54:35 | Speaker 2:

Thanks for the advice. You're exactly like my husband. The one time I called a locksmith, he straight up told me because I locked my purse inside and he was like, I have to verify that it's your house when you get in and you have to pay me right away and if you don't I'll relock this house and I'll relock you out. I went, fair enough. Fair enough. It is my house. I will pay you. But I understand falling. He was like, I know how to lock you back out.

00:54:36 - 00:54:46 | Speaker 3:

You know what blows my mind about this? That the fact that there are, I've never had to use a locksmith before. I didn't know that they were 24 hours. You can hire somebody to just come out and show up with a toolbox.

00:54:46 - 00:54:50 | Speaker 2:

I locked myself out in shorts when it was 15 degrees outside.

00:54:50 - 00:54:55 | Speaker 1:

Why is it that you always lock yourself out in inclement weather situations like that? Or late at night?

00:54:55 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 2:

It's the worst. It was late at night, inclement weather, and it was me and my dog standing there.

00:55:00 - 00:55:03 | Speaker 1:

It's like, well, I've done it. I've killed us. I've killed us slowly.

00:55:03 - 00:55:14 | Speaker 5:

Somebody explain to me why things at your home don't ever break like at noon on a Tuesday. Exactly. They always, it's always, something like this is Sunday night or something like that.

00:55:14 - 00:55:21 | Speaker 1:

And this morning, the temporary lock was jammed, so I had to ram myself into the door to get it to open. I literally had to get out of my apartment this morning.

00:55:22 - 00:55:31 | Speaker 5:

Oh, jeez. By the way, you know what the funniest part of this whole story would be? KP just told us, and by the way, I was at the wrong apartment floor. I was on the wrong floor

00:55:31 - 00:56:02 | Speaker 1:

Maybe I am at the wrong apartment door I'm like that's something I would do My neighbor actually invited me I met my neighbor He came by with his He was taking out the trash and I was sitting on the ground And I'm like hey what's up And he's like what's going on I'm like I'm locked out get ready for it to happen in your room too And his girlfriend came out And was like you want to have a drink with us come inside So we had a glass of wine And I was like hey when this happens to you guys which is probably inevitable, you can come into my apartment and I'll give you a glass of wine.

00:56:02 - 00:56:06 | Speaker 5:

Did we know what the problem was? Was it just like a malfunction or something like that?

00:56:07 - 00:56:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was just a malfunction. I mean, I feel like that's something the apartment should tell you before you have a lockout issue. Like if you experience this, don't rip your lockout of your wall. Don't have the T-Move guy get a saw and weld it shut.

00:56:22 - 00:56:53 | Speaker 5:

I've done this at my house where it's like, do I break a window? you know because I don't have like I use my garage door to basically get in and out and if that's down I got no way to get in and it's one of those ones where you're like do I break a small window then I got to fix the window or or do I pull out like one of those uh law and order svus and like kick a door down could you imagine me trying to kick a door down that'd be funny we would need video I don't know if I can get my foot up that high what's up Al hi how's it going good what's

00:56:53 - 00:57:29 | Speaker 4:

going on oh nothing uh i just kind of had a comment on that i know you guys were asking questions and it's kind of been something that's changed in the industry a while ago um are you a locksmith no i'm not a locksmith i've been doing apartment maintenance and uh been in the industry for quite a while and uh the reason why they went away from that is a security liability issue because the typical on-call maintenance guy does not have ability to access the system. And some of that stuff is secure information as far as leaseholders and all that goes. Oh, okay.

00:57:29 - 00:57:36 | Speaker 1:

So they'd rather me hire the T-Mu locksmith that comes in from next door from a Google ad that I called?

00:57:36 - 00:57:58 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's bad. I didn't make the rule, but some of the reasoning behind this is this has happened actually in the real world where, let's say, there's been a domestic situation and the boyfriend is not allowed to live there, but they haven't changed their ID. They've gotten let out of jail or whatever. They call on-call maintenance and the maintenance staff lets them in.

00:57:58 - 00:58:00 | Speaker 5:

Oh, God, that makes so much sense.

00:58:00 - 00:58:03 | Speaker 4:

But the boyfriend could have called a locksmith too.

00:58:04 - 00:58:11 | Speaker 5:

But no, but he's saying that they don't want to let you in unless the person knows that you are for sure. Amanda, what's going on?

00:58:12 - 00:58:14 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good morning, guys. How are you?

00:58:14 - 00:58:15 | Speaker 5:

Good. What's up?

00:58:16 - 00:58:39 | Speaker 3:

So I, unfortunately, KP, you're going to need to read your lease because it most likely says in there that if you get locked out and you damage the door, that you're going to have to pay for the damages. Unfortunately, they usually have some type of clause in there because they know that it can be an issue. Not that that's right. But as an apartment manager, I always tell people, like, reread your lease. What would you do then?

00:58:40 - 00:58:42 | Speaker 5:

What would you do if you were her late at night like that?

00:58:42 - 00:58:59 | Speaker 3:

um if i was her i probably would not have called the locksmith unfortunately i would have probably stayed with somebody because right or wrong like i'm not saying it's right that they would do that to you but um they'll probably charge you this i mean i'm not going to leave my pet locked in

00:58:59 - 00:59:15 | Speaker 1:

my apartment oh yeah no way they have to be considerate because you know what if i had a family or medication to take or cats or dogs that need to be let out you know well cats don't need be let up but yeah i don't know it was a tough situation what am i supposed to do teresa what

00:59:15 - 00:59:44 | Speaker 2:

happened well my husband and i we were dating at the time uh our ac broke in our unit and i had called someone to come fix it and they're fixing it and they're fixing they can't figure it out and they're about to drill a hole through the concrete into like the wall to kind of feed the unit and my husband got home and he was like oh my god that's not our ac unit like what are you doing it was what a neighbor's ac unit yeah so they were like disconnecting all this stuff on

00:59:44 - 00:59:56 | Speaker 5:

our neighbor's ac unit about oh my gosh that's why i joke i joked to kp maybe she was on the wrong floor or something like that you know oh my god could you it'd be crazy the neighbor would

00:59:56 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 1:

have opened the door before the saw got out unless they weren't home

01:00:00 - 01:00:17 | Speaker 2:

01:01:06 - 01:01:31 | Speaker 1:

Man was arrested on Saturday night for impersonating a firefighter and attempting to burglarize a home amid all of these wildfires that are still raging over in the L.A. area. That arrest is one of several that have been made in recent days as multiple wildfires continue to burn tens of thousands of acres across Southern California. This is L.A. County Sheriff Robert Luna.

01:01:31 - 01:01:48 | Speaker 2:

I saw a gentleman that looked like a firefighter, and I asked him if he was okay because he was sitting down. I didn't realize we had him in handcuffs. We were turning him over to LAPD because he was dressed like a fireman, and he was not. He just got caught burglarizing a home.

01:01:48 - 01:01:57 | Speaker 1:

What is wrong with people? The other arrests, by the way, in case you were wondering, were mostly curfew violations and then like drugs and weapons.

01:01:57 - 01:02:04 | Speaker 4:

There's been a lot of like really bad people that are just trying to take advantage of situations.

01:02:04 - 01:02:26 | Speaker 1:

I read one story where somebody was talking about how there are arsonists who are putting gasoline in the sewers to make certain areas or buildings. Like, we've talked about last week that there were some fires that were, like, very randomly happening in an area where there were not any other fires, but there was just, like, a business on fire, and you kind of have to raise your eyebrows at that, right?

01:02:26 - 01:03:17 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, the firefighters are battling this. Then the stuff that's coming out right now about how they're pointing blame and fingers and all the rest of this stuff about things that are going on. And then finally that fire chief went on, I think it was Friday night on CNN and told them, it's like, they would not, they gave away equipment. LAFD gave away their equipment that was not so aged that you couldn't use it. They gave it away because they were trying to look for write-offs, like tax write-offs. They're like, this is unbelievable. The second largest city in the United States. and they're doing stupid crap like this i'm telling you in the highest tax base that area highest tax base of of in the world that palisades yeah and speaking of palisades i saw that jennifer

01:03:17 - 01:03:33 | Speaker 1:

garner she was just so emotional that's her that's where she lives she lives in pacific palisades but um she did an interview with nbc news i believe it was and she was talking about how she lost a friend from church she's just devastated her friend didn't get out in time i could just write

01:03:33 - 01:03:50 | Speaker 5:

out a list of 100 friends who lost their homes, it's just like, I feel almost guilty walking through my house. Just, you know, what can I do? How can I help? What can I offer? What do I have to offer with these hands and these walls and the safety that I have? In another note, this is the

01:03:50 - 01:04:17 | Speaker 4:

thing with the FEMA thing. It drives me crazy. Today, eviction notices are being given to families in North Carolina that are living in temporary housing that they have to find another place to live that fema's not paying for them from those hurricanes these people have not been having a chance to uh to you know get themselves back up we've we forget about the you know the hurricanes that ravaged uh florida and north carolina and we're not doing anything about it how is this

01:04:17 - 01:04:47 | Speaker 3:

you know it's crazy too one of the homies work for the post office in la shut up my boy marcus bright get it right i'm like dog what do you do to the people whose houses are burned down like what do you do with the mail he like if the mailbox still standing we still deliver the Are you kidding me? This is literally the rule. If the mailbox is still standing, they're delivering the mail for anybody else. They're holding them inside of whatever post office they're at. And I'm like, is there a certain duration? Because I'm sure you got storage for maybe four houses that aren't there. But what do you do for the thousands of houses? You're like, we just keep the mail for like 30 days or something.

01:04:47 - 01:05:05 | Speaker 4:

I know somebody down in Florida that lost in Treasure Island, just a little bit north of Tampa. They lost their place. They are still having to pay their mortgage on it. If they don't pay, they become defaulted on. what is going on on a nothing there's no no there's basically an empty area there right now

01:05:05 - 01:05:47 | Speaker 2:

no so the latest on the fate of tiktok shark tank's mr wonderful kevin o'leary is partnering up with another investor in a bid to save tiktok in hopes that china and the supreme court will allow them to quote unquote make it wonderful again so uh kevin's teaming up with project liberty founder frank mccourt to purchase the platform's u.s assets from its parent company byte dance and then rebuild it in a way that essentially prioritizes the privacy of all of its american users but remember midnight january 19th that's this sunday tiktok could be removed from all app stores unless it is divested from its parent company you'll still be able to use it

01:05:47 - 01:05:57 | Speaker 4:

we won't get updates they say but they also said that you may not be able to post so can i still shop it's like yeah it's like what's the point i think that you can't nobody's able to post that's

01:05:57 - 01:05:59 | Speaker 2:

That's going to end real quick.

01:05:59 - 01:06:14 | Speaker 3:

You know what I mean? I don't think it's about what they're making it about, bro. I think anytime people want to change something, it always comes down to their pockets. And I think TikTok is taking over Google searches and YouTube searches. And I think it's messing with Amazon in their bag. And that's why they're trying to get out of here.

01:06:14 - 01:06:18 | Speaker 4:

And the people from Amazon and Google are lobbying the federal government and these politicians.

01:06:19 - 01:06:40 | Speaker 1:

Data is worth more than gold. And I feel like the problem is that the United States has no way to control what we see and how to take advantage of the data is a weapon. And that's the reason if we wanted to shut down, they would have shut it down. They're trying to get it. They're trying to inherit or not inherit. They thugs. Whoever made it. I don't know where it's from.

01:06:40 - 01:06:44 | Speaker 4:

Now you're coming over to my side. Those fires in California. Do we think?

01:06:44 - 01:06:45 | Speaker 3:

I ain't on that.

01:06:45 - 01:06:45 | Speaker 4:

Come on.

01:06:45 - 01:06:49 | Speaker 3:

I guarantee you Trump about that with a pen swipe. That's how you're going to get a lot of Americans on his side.

01:06:49 - 01:07:10 | Speaker 4:

here's what they said that he can do he can ask the doj not to prosecute any of the app stores for putting keeping him on the app even though it'll be illegal but they say that he's gonna have a hard time getting this thing to not go through with the supreme court rules with this law because it was a pretty bipartisan rule uh you know there was both dems and republicans that

01:07:10 - 01:07:57 | Speaker 2:

were both voting for it fighting his own case ain't this next story is courtesy of lydia our resident Swifty, Taylor Swift, apparently gave a handwritten message with a $100,000 bonus to each of the Aeros Tour crew members. So more money. And actually, I'm looking at one of the little notes and it just said, like, hi, Robert, thank you for your superb work on the U.S. League of the Aeros Tour. Your well-deserved bonus is $100,000. Love, Taylor. Taylor, please hire me. Right? That's amazing. And lastly, yesterday, Mike Vrabel was hired as head coach of the New England Patriots, replacing Jared Mayo, who lasted just one season on the sideline. And I'm only doing this story because it means, for now, Lions Offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson is staying put. Shock.

01:07:57 - 01:08:31 | Speaker 4:

So Aaron Glenn, they said, turned down an interview because I think he thought that it was just a BS interview because they needed to interview minorities, and they thought that he knew right away that he wasn't going to get the job anyway. They say Ben Johnson did such an amazing set of interviews this weekend And they say Tom Brady is pushing for the Raiders to hire Ben Johnson Aaron Glenn, a lot of people are saying that Aaron Glenn, our defensive coordinator Is going to go to the Saints, which would be good for him I don't know, I don't want to, let's just focus on Saturday I love that thought

01:08:31 - 01:08:35 | Speaker 1:

You think the Ford family who has never had a successful team is going to let these people go?

01:08:36 - 01:08:41 | Speaker 4:

You know what, that's an interesting thought too How can we keep them? Will Martha pay him more? You know?

01:08:41 - 01:08:44 | Speaker 3:

There's no luxury tax like with coaches or anything? You can just pay them whatever? I don't think so.

01:08:44 - 01:08:50 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. Make Ben Johnson like assistant head coach and Aaron Glenn assistant head coach. And then, you know what I mean?

01:08:50 - 01:08:55 | Speaker 2:

01:10:12 - 01:10:36 | Speaker 1:

Hey, you are so welcome. And let me look real quick. I'm going to look this up for you. While we are talking to you, I want to see what the temperature is like in Fort Myers, Florida. Because that will tell me if I want to go to Fort Myers. Otherwise, I'm staying in 13 degrees. Let's see here. Oh, this is kind of nice. I don't know if 80 degrees sounds like fun, but it's going to reach a high temperature of 80 degrees today.

01:10:38 - 01:10:42 | Speaker 2:

That sounds amazing because I work outside, so I'm causing me feeling with cold.

01:10:42 - 01:10:44 | Speaker 1:

What do you do for a living that you're working outside?

01:10:45 - 01:10:58 | Speaker 2:

I'm a zookeeper. Oh, my God. Where at? I work at the Creature Conservancy in Ann Arbor. We're mostly a rescue, but we're open on the weekends. So you can go check us out sometime.

01:10:58 - 01:11:06 | Speaker 1:

I had a friend tell me that I need to go to that. They said that we need to do a radio station field trip to there. I heard it's amazing.

01:11:07 - 01:11:11 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely. Oh, my gosh. I could even do a private tour for you. Oh, stop it.

01:11:11 - 01:11:12 | Speaker 3:

Wait, wait.

01:11:12 - 01:11:13 | Speaker 2:

Can I bring my key?

01:11:13 - 01:11:14 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:11:15 - 01:11:21 | Speaker 2:

Can you bring the fam? Seriously, I could talk to my boss about it. Let's do it. We could set something up.

01:11:21 - 01:11:30 | Speaker 1:

Lydia, obviously you're going to grab Sierra's information for this prize, but get her information, too, for that, and we'll have to come out and say hi to you. What kind of animals y'all got?

01:11:31 - 01:11:38 | Speaker 2:

Our biggest animals we have, we have a cougar, we have a warthog. We got cougars in here. We have a cotted leopard.

01:11:39 - 01:11:39 | Speaker 1:

You ain't that much.

01:11:40 - 01:11:45 | Speaker 2:

Super cute. We have a lot of different animals, honestly. Over 300 different species of animals.

01:11:45 - 01:11:52 | Speaker 1:

That's amazing. Well, congratulations to you. We're going to get some information from you here for this contest, and then we'll come out and see you sometime. Okay, Sierra?

01:11:54 - 01:11:55 | Speaker 2:

Okay, sounds great. Thank you.

01:11:55 - 01:12:04 | Speaker 1:

We know what's going on. now guys we got details saturday night all right mojo in the morning fans wake up grab your coffee

01:12:04 - 01:12:34 | Speaker 3:

and let's get ready to do what we do come on forward down the field a charging team that will not yield and win the blue and silver wave let's go stand and chill the brave Go hard, win the game With honor, you will keep your faith Tell the field in game The Lions' guitar league Go Lions!

01:12:37 - 01:14:55 | Speaker 1:

The Lions vs. the Washington Commandos And we've got a chance to get to the NFC Championship for the second straight year. This time, we're not looking past anyone, though. Washington's good, and they're on a roll. But we want to make sure that you have a chance, if you would love to go see a Lions game. I mean, this ain't any other game. This isn't like preseason or regular season. This is postseason, guys. And we haven't been used to this here in this town. So I got to tell you guys this little story here, and then we're going to pick up a special guest. um a very special guest who has helped us numerous times with our mojo in the morning breaking and entering christmas wish uh called me up last week and said hey i love what you guys do during the holidays and one of the things that really makes me feel good is hearing people feel good and i feel like this world's got so much negativity i want to bring some more positivity and not just do it at the holidays so i have an idea and i said what's that and they said what if i were to make a donation to Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish that you guys could give to a listener who specifically would use that to go see a Lions playoff game. So instead of, hey, I'm going to give you tickets, it was, I'm going to pay for whatever it costs for you to go to the game. But it was one stipulation, and the stipulation was it had to be someone, not that it was just a big Lions fan, but somebody that this would be a life-changing event for them, something big going on in their life that might sway be swayed by this great happy moment happening or maybe somebody's dealing with some kind of a you know a health issue and they want something good to happen in their life or this would be the chance to be able to see the lions and i held that and i said to him i go okay cool he goes anonymous though and i go anonymous and he goes yeah anonymously i want to do this and i said well can you at least come on the air with a voice disguiser machine and they said yes as long as you don't say my name so no no saying name because it's up on the call screen board. They want it to be their gift back to you because this person has lived and loved Detroit for their whole life. On the phone with us is Mr. Anonymous. Are you there, Mr. Anonymous?

01:14:56 - 01:14:57 | Speaker 2:

Very anonymous.

01:14:58 - 01:15:04 | Speaker 1:

Okay, very anonymous. Hold on. I got to voice this guy around. Why does it sound like that for some reason? You there?

01:15:04 - 01:15:08 | Speaker 3:

You're asking me? Yeah. The sound was just breaking up.

01:15:08 - 01:15:30 | Speaker 1:

Your phone's kind of breaking up. Do you have a bad cell? Mr. Anonymous, are you sure that we can afford these tickets? Here, Lydia's going to call you right back. Okay. Are you on a speaker or what are you on? No, right? Okay, there you go. Oh, my gosh, that is so much better. That was so much better. It was a speaker.

01:15:30 - 01:15:31 | Speaker 3:

Ah, so much better.

01:15:32 - 01:15:34 | Speaker 1:

So much better. Now he's mocking us.

01:15:36 - 01:15:40 | Speaker 2:

I'm about to out you and tell everybody who you are. Stop it.

01:15:41 - 01:15:47 | Speaker 1:

So tell us why it was that you wanted this to be something that you wanted to do.

01:15:48 - 01:16:43 | Speaker 3:

I think the cool thing about sports is that no matter what's going on, everybody comes together. You go to the stadium, it represents everything for a cause. At the end of the day, it really doesn't mean anything. And they win, they lose. But for those two and a half, three, four hours, we're all on the same page and we're nervous. We want our team to win. And I don't understand why we can't be like that every day and come together. It's just everybody's fighting politics and racism and everything. And for one day, that stadium is filled with every single person known to mankind. Some of them are going broke buying the tickets, but they come together. Yeah, Dan Campbell and company have done for our city. I'm in Florida where my lion's head and people come up to me every day saying, I'm rooting for you guys. I'm rooting for you guys.

01:16:43 - 01:17:10 | Speaker 2:

It's the story. It's incredible. And you know what? These games are core memories for people. And a game like this would absolutely be a core memory. I'm not even that huge of a sports fan. And I will never, ever forget the Tigers game that my dad took me to and we were playing the Baltimore Orioles. And just like being at that game, that is such a core memory for me. And I know that this game will be that for somebody else.

01:17:11 - 01:17:25 | Speaker 1:

Well, you also you said something that was really interesting to me, anonymous friend. And you said to me that you know that the average person cannot go to this because they just don't have the means to do it.

01:17:25 - 01:17:26 | Speaker 3:

It's too expensive.

01:17:26 - 01:18:02 | Speaker 1:

And your ultimate goal was to have a great story behind why you wanted to go. And, by the way, everybody's got a story. And then for you to take somebody who probably would never be able to even, you know, get into Ford Field, let alone get a seat, and a great seat, by the way, an end zone seat possibly or you know sideline seat lower bowl whatever it is um to be able to go and experience this i thought that was actually one of the coolest things ever and you're right if for four hours we all can have something in our life that is positive let's do it for somebody

01:18:02 - 01:18:13 | Speaker 3:

that might not i mean if you if you want it if you want no if you want no traffic saturday night there won't be any traffic on the road i promise you the whole world will be turned in yeah it's

01:18:13 - 01:18:18 | Speaker 1:

true that is actually true the game time is eight o'clock on saturday uh you know they're having a

01:18:18 - 01:18:25 | Speaker 3:

heart attack don't call 9-1-1 they're watching the game that is true all right so here's my thing

01:18:25 - 01:19:13 | Speaker 1:

we solicit for mojo's uh breaking entering christmas wish by using mojos wish.org if you have a story that you want to tell us go to mojos wish.org send us just a quick little note you don't have to be a great writer you can voice to text it and send it in to us and then lydia and myself and shannon megan cav kp uh and zach are going to go through all of the entries and then we're going to have you guys on the air with us and by the way if you got a story right now you can call 844 mojo live and we'll give you an idea of whether or not we think this story is you know is a good one um but we got to thank you for doing this like that is that's huge man that's just unbelievable not really how a quick question for you how wealthy of a guy are you and are you

01:19:13 - 01:19:33 | Speaker 3:

single can we not not wealthy enough i'm still working and i need to make more because i because i am single you know what's cool about this trying to get that b in front of my name

01:19:33 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 1:

You know what's cool about this, though, is, you know, Kev, you and I have been to a bunch of games together, and we have memories. Like, there's core memories out of that. Imagine if you are somebody that is listening right now, and you've got a son or a daughter that has got their Honolulu blue on all the time. And that's the only thing that you can afford that is Lions is a shirt from Kohl's. But this would be your opportunity to have them put that shirt on and surprise them and take them to a game.

01:20:00 - 01:20:01 | Speaker 2:

I mean, that would be.

01:20:01 - 01:20:14 | Speaker 1:

Well, your mom and dad have been Lions fans or your grandpa or somebody have been watching the games on television with the dreams of seeing the Lions make the playoffs and make a serious run for the Super Bowl. And now is your opportunity to make that memory with them. This is the moment.

01:20:14 - 01:20:44 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I love the stories that come out of this. There's always like the TV stations that come in. They found out the story of, you know, grandpa's just got the diagnosis or something or dad's got the diagnosis. And this would be them being able to see something that they've not seen ever, and that is the Lions win. Hold on real quick. Let me grab a call here. So stand by for one second there, Mr. Anonymous. Are you there, Sarah?

01:20:45 - 01:21:15 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning, everyone. Good morning. I am a recreational therapy student over at Eastern Michigan. And we've taken our veterans to sport games, even just like U of M field hockey games. And just like honestly seeing how much like giving somebody this experience for just going to see the Lions, that that means so much to hear that, you know, you want to make that accessible to somebody who may not have that experience again.

01:21:15 - 01:21:44 | Speaker 2:

Sarah do us a favor find find out you know uh maybe a person or a couple because it's going to be a pair of tickets or be enough for a pair of tickets because it's basically going to be money to buy these tickets and the ticket prices by the way are crazy astronomical and that's not what just the lions are charging for them that's what people the secondary market is charging because that's where these tickets are coming and come up with you know something that would be great and send it to mojoswish.org okay yeah I work with children right now over at

01:21:44 - 01:21:57 | Speaker 4:

not and um just like when we have like athletes come in it's just like it it's amazing to see the kids faces like i get tears in my eyes it's amazing thank you for doing what you do

01:21:57 - 01:22:01 | Speaker 2:

thanks for choosing that as your as your field that your career because you're making a difference

01:22:01 - 01:22:20 | Speaker 5:

elizabeth what's up oh and he hi um my brother-in-law is in his 70s and he's wheelchair care bound right now, but he has beat brain cancer twice, lung cancer once, and colon cancer once. Oh, goodness. Yeah.

01:22:20 - 01:22:26 | Speaker 2:

That's a guy that needs to be at a Lions game, for God's sakes. We've beaten 0-16. That's amazing.

01:22:27 - 01:22:44 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, he never misses a Lions game, and his sons come over every time there's a game and watch it with his dad. I mean, they did go to a couple of games back in the day when they, you know, they weren't winning. But now that he doesn't go anywhere.

01:22:44 - 01:22:48 | Speaker 2:

So mojoswish.org, will you send us all the details on that, Elizabeth?

01:22:49 - 01:22:50 | Speaker 5:

I will.

01:22:50 - 01:22:53 | Speaker 2:

I love you for that. Thank you for this. We appreciate you.

01:22:53 - 01:22:54 | Speaker 5:

Thank you.

01:22:54 - 01:22:58 | Speaker 2:

Real quick, I got to ask Mr. Anonymous. Mr. Anonymous, are you back?

01:22:59 - 01:22:59 | Speaker 6:

He's always tossing his football in his hand. He never misses a game. He used to play for Carlson High School, but unfortunately with his asthma, he's unable to participate in football right now. But he still attends all the games with his buddies. I can't say enough about how much he just, he doesn't miss a game. He watches all of the football games he watched last night to see who was going to go against them. This coming up weekend, I can barely afford a jersey. Thankfully, you know, family, we have family across in Las Vegas, which is where they're where they were born. I'm from Michigan myself, but my mother helps out with as far as like the NFL gear and stuff like that, because it's just too expensive.

01:24:50 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 2:

So this would be huge for you guys. As a single mom, giving him an opportunity to be able to go to the game would be a life changing thing for him.

Coming up here in just a little bit, second date update. Why are you not getting a call back? We're going to find out. And a whole bunch of good topics on the way here in just a little bit. Is it a deal breaker? Megan's got that. um shannon with the worst time ever to get a spray tan and get into a little bit of a disagreement or discussion with your significant other and i am not your bumble i'll explain that and more coming up this morning here on the show all right it is mojo in the morning show is it a deal breaker megan uh by the way what dating app are we talking hinge a little hinge

01:28:43 - 01:29:50 | Speaker 3:

love your hinge um is that all you do yeah i'm on the other ones but i don't like any of them to be honest but even on hinge i have my major issues but something happened for the first time that i thought was really interesting i'd never experienced this before um so i had swiped right on somebody or i had a great look i feel like swipe right is just the general term you don't actually do that on hinge um but i had tried to match with somebody and before it sent me to like the chat portion like hey you both agreed to do this it said so and so who I connected with wanted to let you know something before you move on to the next step and I was like that's kind of weird is that normal I've never experienced this before and it said this might be a deal breaker for you but I wanted to let you know that I still live with my mom and it had like two little buttons that was like continue to chat or like choose to ignore I guess I can't remember how it was phrased But it was, you can either continue on and match or unmatch with said person. And they wouldn't know that you've matched with them yet. So it was a way for you to, like, back out last minute.

01:29:50 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 4:

And what was it again? They said that they lived with their mom? Is that a deal breaker for you?

01:29:55 - 01:30:04 | Speaker 3:

For me personally, yes, absolutely. I think at this point in my life, if you're still. living with mom you're way too young for me to date how what if it's like a certain reason though

01:30:04 - 01:30:15 | Speaker 6:

um they actually said the reason it was super personal um it was very very valid i thought it was very honorable why they lived at home and i was not interested in getting involved are they

01:30:15 - 01:30:20 | Speaker 4:

taking care of mom or something like oh they okay yeah well then i kind of absolutely or is that

01:30:20 - 01:30:31 | Speaker 6:

their excuse i don't know yeah but either way that's not something i'm looking to get wrapped up in right now okay so it's like somebody having kids like no thanks all right would you here's a

01:30:31 - 01:30:45 | Speaker 4:

question what is it is it a deal breaker if somebody lives with uh their family lives with their parents or lives with mom 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 should they put that in their their profile or should you find out about that later or do you appreciate their honesty i really

01:30:45 - 01:31:02 | Speaker 3:

appreciated you telling me up front i was gonna say that actually it's very honest yeah i mean they don't want to waste your time they don't want their time wasted either yeah that's what it is Because if I spend some money, we go out to eat, and then I tell you, and you, like, to make his words, no thanks. He's wasting my time.

01:31:02 - 01:31:08 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. That is, by the way, pretty unbelievable that they would have that in their profile, basically.

01:31:08 - 01:31:14 | Speaker 5:

He probably got home before. He probably gave him or her, I don't know if you said, credit for doing it. It's a him, right?

01:31:14 - 01:31:24 | Speaker 3:

No. It's a her. My wife. Really? Yeah. She probably got home before. She probably was on a date, things was clicking, and they're like, can I go back to your crib? She's like, my mom's on a date.

01:31:24 - 01:31:42 | Speaker 6:

That was my deal breaker. My place always has to be clean. There can't be one time where I'm running late to a date and I can just go to your place afterwards. No, you are not going to halfway live with me because we are never able to go to your place. I dated somebody who lived with this mom before and it was, oh my God, so annoying.

01:31:44 - 01:31:52 | Speaker 5:

Because I was going to say, that's really, really honorable of her. But your point that you just made, I'm like, oh yeah, I don't know. I'm a lot about it that way.

01:31:53 - 01:31:54 | Speaker 7:

Hello.

01:31:55 - 01:31:55 | Speaker 4:

Is it a deal breaker?

01:31:57 - 01:32:22 | Speaker 7:

So I actually have an older brother who uses that as an excuse. He actually lives at home with my mother because he can't afford rent and can't, like, hold a job. But every time I meet these new girls, they are like, oh, it's so honorable that your brother is, like, taking care of his mom. And I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, what's going on? Do you tell them? No, I try to stay out of it as much as possible.

01:32:22 - 01:32:30 | Speaker 3:

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Good sister. Anything for my brother. I love that.

01:32:30 - 01:32:37 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I don't know. I still, I mean, I hope they catch, I mean, they obviously catch on because he's still on these dating apps after a while, but.

01:32:37 - 01:33:04 | Speaker 4:

I love that, though. You know, it's kind of like telling them that your grandma died while you didn't do your homework, but that's the modern way of doing it in dating. I'm taking care of a sick loved one. A lot of people saying deal breaker. Look at this, 248 deal breaker. Megan, move on. 313 deal breaker. You're always going to have to be the person that's going to be picking them up. Ashley, what's going on? Hi.

01:33:05 - 01:33:11 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Hey. No, I don't think it's a deal breaker. Life is expensive.

01:33:11 - 01:33:19 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I totally get that. I absolutely get that. But if it's that expensive, then we can't afford to date each other. Yeah.

01:33:22 - 01:33:23 | Speaker 1:

I get it. I get it.

01:33:23 - 01:33:27 | Speaker 4:

So are you living at home? And I don't want to, before I say this next comment.

01:33:29 - 01:33:31 | Speaker 1:

You're okay. I live with my sister.

01:33:31 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Well, then I'm not going to say it. We'll see you later. Thank you. I was going to say something. Yeah, life is expensive. Life is expensive. But you're spending money on something else. Or you don't have enough. You didn't find that good job yet.

01:33:44 - 01:33:51 | Speaker 6:

Or when I lived with my brother, I always thought this is not the time for me to date. Like, until I have my own space.

01:33:51 - 01:33:53 | Speaker 4:

Don't date until you have your own place.

01:33:53 - 01:33:53 | Speaker 6:

Right.

01:33:53 - 01:33:54 | Speaker 4:

Tina, what's up?

01:33:54 - 01:33:55 | Speaker 3:

Who's going to talk about it?

01:33:56 - 01:34:02 | Speaker 2:

Hey, so I live with my mom, and I still think it's a deal breaker. Okay. Thank you.

01:34:03 - 01:34:12 | Speaker 5:

So are you very upfront? Are you upfront with people that you meet? Like, this is my situation, and take it or leave it?

01:34:12 - 01:34:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't even look to meet people. Okay. I don't even like to meet people because I just feel like I have other things to worry about.

01:34:18 - 01:34:22 | Speaker 4:

Have you ever met somebody and had to sneak them in the house without mom noticing?

01:34:23 - 01:34:30 | Speaker 2:

No, because second part to it, I have kids that I roommate with. So we're all in the same room.

01:34:30 - 01:34:39 | Speaker 4:

Oh, geez. There's some complicated situations in that relationship. What's up, Hannah?

01:34:41 - 01:35:08 | Speaker 1:

Hi, good morning. I'm with Megan that it is a deal breaker, but I'm also willing to hear them out. So I lived in Florida and then I moved back to Michigan and I was with my parents for a year just to save up before I could move on my own. So obviously I live on my own now. But my brother was with my parents because he just moved back from Maryland. So, like, in cases like that, I guess I can sympathize.

01:35:09 - 01:35:30 | Speaker 7:

I like that. You'll at least go out with them and then listen to what their reasoning is to everything. That actually might not be a bad idea, though, in this case. Because you may find out that this person that you're talking about that lives with their mom might be the type of person that could take care of you later in life. Think about that. If they can take care of their mom and be good to them, they're probably a good person. Look at all the douche bags that are out there.

01:35:30 - 01:35:42 | Speaker 6:

What if it's positioned differently? Now, I'm not saying this is just a line to get you in, but what if he doesn't say, I live with my mom, but he says, my mom lives with me? Oh, there you go. That's what they should have done.

01:35:42 - 01:35:46 | Speaker 4:

I don't know why. I find that to be an even bigger red flag. That's called deceptiveness.

01:35:48 - 01:36:04 | Speaker 6:

That's why I started by saying you're not saying it to be facetious, but say that's the reality, though. Say your mom had to move back in. Is that also the deal breaker? It's not that you don't have enough money. It's not that you're like a little boy or a girl and you're not mature enough and all of that. You're just helping mama out. That's worse.

01:36:04 - 01:36:29 | Speaker 4:

You're helping moms out. That's worse. That's worse because you're going to put mom in front of it, which mom should be taken care of. I've only dated severe mama's boy, so my perspective is coming from a place of terrible mother-in-laws. And so for me, like, if you're willing to give her that space and, like, be in your life, which you should do, by the way. I think that's the right thing. I just don't want to be involved in that because it's going to lead to bad things for me.

01:36:30 - 01:36:37 | Speaker 7:

Is there such thing as a mama's girl? Because you said this was a girl. So mama's boys, now it's nice to hear

01:36:37 - 01:36:39 | Speaker 4:

that there's mama's boys and mama's girls.

01:36:40 - 01:36:42 | Speaker 7:

What's going on? Initial C, your voice disguised. What's up?

01:36:44 - 01:37:08 | Speaker 1:

Hi, I just wanted to talk about what Megan is saying, not wanting to date young men or men at whatever the age that live at home with their mom. Well, my son lives with me, but not because he needs me. I actually need him a little bit to help me out. He has a job that pays almost $100,000 a year.

01:37:08 - 01:37:09 | Speaker 7:

Ooh, okay.

01:37:10 - 01:37:16 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so if Megan say he wouldn't, I'd date my son. He's like totally a nice guy.

01:37:16 - 01:37:38 | Speaker 7:

He's a catch, but he's helping you out. How about interview mom? Bring mom on the first date. I agree with you. I think you have to interview. you. I'm going to go with that as my take on this. And a texter brought up something interesting. A texter here. Hold on. Let me find it again. Because I saw it just a second ago when my phone rang. Oh, texter here said, didn't Megan live with her dad for a period of time? I did. And I

01:37:38 - 01:38:17 | Speaker 4:

didn't live with people or date people when I did it. And I totally did it to I moved home to save up enough money to buy a house. I was so proud that I did it. And I bought that house. And then I was interested in dating again. And then my brother needed a place to live. And he moved in with me. And I thought this isn't conducive to a dating experience. And I wasn't looking to date during that time. And then I got an apartment on my own. And then I was like, I'm interested in dating again. I think I think these dating periods in your life are fluid. And again, I don't think it's wrong to take care of your parents. That was never the message here. I just think that there are different priorities in life. And in that one, I'm not interested in being involved in somebody who's in that stage of life.

01:38:17 - 01:38:25 | Speaker 7:

That mom, by the way, who's $100,000 a year son who's living with her, how much money does that kid have in a... How expensive is mom?

01:38:25 - 01:38:27 | Speaker 3:

Right, fair enough.

01:38:27 - 01:38:29 | Speaker 7:

Mom better be asking for some rent from that guy.

01:38:29 - 01:38:38 | Speaker 5:

The guy you were dating was fun until the hookup. Now he's ghosting you. What happened? Find out during Second Date Update at 820 on Mojo in the Morning.

01:38:39 - 01:38:50 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, Second Date Update is right after this topic. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. So, Shannon, the worst time to be getting into a long conversation what did you call it earlier

01:38:50 - 01:39:01 | Speaker 3:

this morning you didn't call it a fight i called it a an intense discussion west goes please don't tell everybody that we're having a fight i go okay i'll call it an intense

01:39:01 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 2:

discussion so an intense discussion yeah uh what happened which actually is was pretty accurate but okay so any girly who has ever gotten a spray tan knows the dance that you have to do in terms of timing once you get the spray tan because there is a certain amount of time that you have before you have to shower it off or else you are going to be very very very tan um and so shout out to my girl Shelly at and Sarah at Soul Potion um I love them I've been going to them for years and years and years and I go there and I get the they call it like the the rapid developing one so I can shower it off after a few hours okay and so normally I it's like a dance with the devil of how dark I want it I either do like I usually do like two hours I'll keep it on for about two hours and then shower it off well Wes and I get into a pretty intense discussion this is on Thursday ahead of the Detroit Auto Show charity

01:40:00 - 01:40:51 | Speaker 5:

preview because that's what i got a spray tan for um around the time i need to shower it off and that discussion lasted a little over an hour which means no offense west i am half paying attention to this discussion because i'm thinking holy crap i have to shower this off or i am going to be the color of megan's sweatshirt which is very dark brown right and i don't want to be that tan and maybe slightly orange i was so worried yeah i was so worried i was gonna look freakish for the gala um and so as soon as we were done you know chatting about what we were chatting about i like ran up the stairs to take a shower and even when i came in here on friday i was like you guys i feel like i look absolutely ridiculous because i had left it on for too long but it was just it ended up looking fine i look great how long you're supposed to it depends it depends on how dark you want it to be so normally i keep it on for like two hours oh excuse you sleep in one

01:40:51 - 01:41:04 | Speaker 4:

of mine well some of them you can some of them are like 24 hours this is a rapid developing one i have sheets that i put on my bed just for tanning i have pajamas that i wear just for tanning and i have a mattress protector to make sure that it doesn't stain my mattress i have

01:41:04 - 01:41:09 | Speaker 5:

one one dress that i wear home from the spray tan place right what about uh what how long was

01:41:09 - 01:41:59 | Speaker 3:

the intense discussion again it was just a little over an hour oh that's intense just a touch over that was intense over an hour was there any uh emotion was there tears like no tears nope it wasn't that kind you can you can drip and run at that point if there's any tears no yeah um okay 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 i would like to know the worst time that you got into a fight with your spouse because of the timing of it yeah the timing of it was the worst right there to me the why is it that fights always happen five minutes before you're going to bed like it never you never can go to bed right on time you're never like why can't a fight happen again it's like why does your power never go out at one o'clock in the afternoon it goes out at you know either five in the morning or it goes out at you know late at night or whatever on a on a saturday

01:41:59 - 01:42:31 | Speaker 2:

or something dog i remember one time it was christmas christmas day it was a christmas day i didn't have josiah so i'm with cheryl at this time going to meet her auntie and her uncle for the first time we arguing about something in the car we get out the car we still arguing i don't even realize it. They got the window open. They hear us. We arguing like up the stairs. No. I come in the door. They like, we can hear y'all. I'm like, well, I'm Kevin. Nice to meet you. Literally the worst sign to argue right before you meet in the folks.

01:42:31 - 01:42:34 | Speaker 4:

You gotta assume everybody has a ring. That's gotta stop when the car door opens.

01:42:36 - 01:42:38 | Speaker 3:

What's going on? Mojo in the morning. Hello.

01:42:39 - 01:42:46 | Speaker 6:

Hello. So I have a story about when And me and my husband fought on our honeymoon over there. Oh, no.

01:42:48 - 01:42:50 | Speaker 3:

Where were you guys on your honeymoon? Where'd you guys go?

01:42:51 - 01:42:53 | Speaker 6:

Disney World. The happiest place on earth.

01:42:55 - 01:43:03 | Speaker 3:

That's great. So, okay, tell us what happened. So you guys got into a fight. Did the fight happen on your way down, or was it in Disney?

01:43:04 - 01:43:08 | Speaker 6:

No. So it was, we were in line for a ride.

01:43:09 - 01:43:09 | Unknown:

Oh, yeah.

01:43:09 - 01:43:30 | Speaker 6:

And I had forgotten my phone at the hotel earlier when we departed. And we were in line, and he had an attitude with me, so I asked him if he was mad at me. And he's like, yeah, I am, because you forgot your phone at home. And it was just completely awkward. It was not cool at all.

01:43:30 - 01:43:34 | Speaker 3:

His new wife he's getting angry at? Come on, you guys are on your honeymoon. What is that?

01:43:36 - 01:43:36 | Speaker 6:

Right?

01:43:37 - 01:43:39 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, although where did you have the phone?

01:43:39 - 01:43:49 | Speaker 4:

Was he mad that you were asking to use his phone or that you couldn't get away from each other because then you couldn't find each other again? Like, why would he be mad that you left it behind?

01:43:50 - 01:43:58 | Speaker 6:

Well, he was frustrated because all of our plans, we had itineraries for it, and it was on the phone.

01:43:59 - 01:44:17 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. You got one job. You got one job. Come on. Hey, you're at Disney on your honeymoon. Now what are you going to do? I'm going to go get my phone. Let's say that. I'm going to go get my phone. Thank you for the call. I appreciate you. Craig, what's going on?

01:44:18 - 01:44:34 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I was going to like a family function for a holiday with my ex, and it was her family, and we were fighting right before we got there. I just turned the car around and went back to the house. I turned the car around and went back to the house and told her to drop me off and she can go back.

01:44:35 - 01:44:41 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I would be so mad at you. Oh, I would be so mad at you on the holidays to make me that late.

01:44:42 - 01:44:46 | Speaker 3:

Did her family hate you after that? Because how do you hide that?

01:44:47 - 01:44:49 | Speaker 1:

Well, that was her family. I know. I told them what happened.

01:44:50 - 01:44:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you told them what happened.

01:44:51 - 01:44:54 | Speaker 4:

Don't worry. She told them what happened and they took her side.

01:44:55 - 01:44:56 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's up, Susan?

01:44:57 - 01:44:57 | Unknown:

Hey.

01:44:58 - 01:44:58 | Speaker 3:

What's up?

01:44:58 - 01:45:16 | Speaker 4:

So the. best i feel like the best fight to have is when you're on a jail call and the lady hangs up yeah what do you mean because then you can hang up they can't call back or if the lady hangs up your time's over wait a second oh my god you speak wait you speak from experience on this one

01:45:16 - 01:45:30 | Speaker 1:

yell at me for 20 minutes and that is it so wait your guy your guy was in jail you get into a fight with him and bro you gotta pay for that what was he in jail for i don't gotta pay for that

01:45:30 - 01:45:39 | Speaker 4:

what what was the what was the fight over oh oh you name it whatever i mean he's in prison so

01:45:39 - 01:45:44 | Speaker 1:

don't we fight over bro he got enough to worry about you supposed to be his safe space oh my

01:45:44 - 01:45:48 | Speaker 2:

lord can you see the countdown like is it a face they tell you they click in be like you got two

01:45:48 - 01:45:56 | Speaker 4:

minutes left they tell you yeah yeah they tell you like oh you got one minute left and they'll be like they'll hang up already and be like thank you for using gtl you're welcome in the middle

01:45:56 - 01:46:03 | Speaker 2:

of the conversation yeah but what about those facetime ones like do you have the like the clock in the corner because i would start as soon as it says 30 seconds left i would be like

01:46:03 - 01:46:12 | Speaker 4:

and another thing get it out and let it hang out they got a countdown on that one it's like a minute 30 seconds yeah yeah you're like all right well f you f you

01:46:12 - 01:46:22 | Speaker 1:

Sierra what's up it's Mojo in the morning worst time to get into a fight with your spouse

01:46:22 - 01:47:19 | Speaker 5:

hey so I had an ex-boyfriend that I got into a fight with and we were in the McDonald's drive through and so we're arguing getting up to the speaker so first of all we can't even get the order out second of all we're so heated that my order gets ordered wrong and then we get to the window and then so the lady's looking at us like we're crazy and i'm like are you i'm looking at him like all right so you're are you are you paying for my food or am i paying for it or at this point what are we doing because i'm starving and you're still mad at me and i'm still mad at you basically what just happened is we just pulled off so that was the worst time to get into yeah the worst time to get into an argument i was so mad because my double cheeseburger was still at the freaking window what it was just awful who was driving my boyfriend oh see because my

01:47:19 - 01:47:23 | Speaker 4:

petty ass always drives so i would have grabbed my food grabbed his threw it out the window drove

01:47:23 - 01:47:34 | Speaker 5:

away yeah listen i was just like drop me off at the door i can go in you want to act like an idiot that's fine but i still need a double cheeseburger right now uh you know what's funny about that is

01:47:34 - 01:47:47 | Speaker 1:

that mcdonald's makes everything better though do you ever notice that like there's just something about it like everything like you needed that mcdonald's to end that fight like i would have sat there and thought to myself all right you know what okay let's just keep going through

01:47:47 - 01:47:59 | Speaker 5:

yeah yeah as a total mood eater myself i was just like i just needed to taste the salt on the freaking fries and we wouldn't have been okay i would have said i'm sorry yeah have you you know

01:47:59 - 01:48:09 | Speaker 1:

what it reminds me of have you ever gone to mcdonald's you ordered and then you pull out you're like oh crap i forgot something and you have to go all the way around and go order reorder again, and you go through again, and you're like, I am a sign of a fat guy right now.

01:48:09 - 01:48:18 | Speaker 2:

I'm going through twice. I would rather drive to a different McDonald's. Hey, me again.

01:48:19 - 01:48:26 | Speaker 1:

Thank you for the call. We appreciate it. Kayla, this is a good one. Kayla, worst place to get into a fight or worst time to get into a fight?

01:48:28 - 01:48:54 | Speaker 3:

Frankenmuth. We went to Denver's Chicken Dinner, and And my husband is a really, really picky eater, and he ended up telling me that there was nothing he was going to eat on the menu because I had gotten a reservation, and so the whole ride home from Frankenmuth back to Warren, Michigan, we fought.

01:48:55 - 01:48:58 | Speaker 1:

Oh, God. And that's a drive, too. That's over an hour that you guys are in the car.

01:48:58 - 01:49:04 | Speaker 3:

Did you get your chicken at least? No. So we both left hungry and angry.

01:49:04 - 01:49:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, God. That's the worst. And it's like Christmas land up there, too, right? It's supposed to be a happy place also.

01:49:12 - 01:49:21 | Speaker 3:

It was, like, our trip before we got dinner was great. And then after it was, like, World War III, it broke out. Over chicken.

01:49:22 - 01:49:44 | Speaker 1:

By the way, any kind of a fight on a road trip anywhere sucks, especially if you're at the start of a road trip. And you are stuck in that car. Because you know what happens? I've had this happen before. where Chelsea and I are in a place. We pull over at a rest stop to go go to the bathroom. I'm afraid she's going to leave me. I'm like, give me the keys. I ain't going anywhere. All right.

01:49:47 - 01:49:49 | Speaker 3:

Shannon's Dirty coming up in less than 30.

01:49:49 - 01:49:50 | Speaker 4:

Give it some Mojo in the morning.

01:49:53 - 01:50:08 | Speaker 1:

It's the second date update. A Mojo in the morning. I love second date update. I love the fact that we're able to figure out some answers for you. Why is it that you're not getting a call back after you went on a date and you thought things were great? Yolanda has had this happen. Yolanda, how many dates have you guys been on with each other?

01:50:11 - 01:50:12 | Speaker 3:

Just one.

01:50:12 - 01:50:29 | Speaker 1:

Just one, okay. But you guys talked for a while, so this is something that you should probably answer to, right, if he's not calling you back. Have you tried him multiple times? Yeah. And what does your gut tell you? Does your gut tell you that he's just completely blowing you off?

01:50:30 - 01:50:40 | Speaker 3:

I have no idea. I have no idea. You know, we used to talk. We used to face him and now nothing.

01:50:41 - 01:50:44 | Speaker 1:

And what was the date? What'd you guys do?

01:50:46 - 01:50:48 | Speaker 3:

We got lunch before my shift.

01:50:49 - 01:50:51 | Speaker 2:

I thought it went well.

01:50:51 - 01:50:52 | Speaker 1:

Thought it was good.

01:50:53 - 01:50:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, like anything other than lunch or lunch? Was there...

01:50:57 - 01:51:01 | Speaker 1:

Just hanging out with him and stuff afterwards? We're going to find out. Hold on a second. Greg, are you there?

01:51:02 - 01:51:02 | Speaker 2:

No.

01:51:04 - 01:51:10 | Speaker 1:

Greg? Say hi to Yolanda. Hey, what's up?

01:51:11 - 01:51:13 | Speaker 3:

Hey. Ooh, the chemistry.

01:51:13 - 01:51:25 | Speaker 1:

Greg, Yolanda is wondering what's going on. She says that she hasn't heard back from you after you guys went on a lunch date with each other.

01:51:27 - 01:51:38 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it was a lunch date. I don't know. I'm not sure. She's been, hey, you've been just, I don't know. I don't know what to tell you.

01:51:39 - 01:51:48 | Speaker 1:

What do you mean you've been, what do you speak? Can one of you guys, what's the deal? Are you not interested in dating her?

01:51:50 - 01:51:58 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I didn't see it as like a date. I saw it as like a lunch hangout. It wasn't like a date.

01:51:58 - 01:52:03 | Speaker 1:

So you're not dating. You don't consider that you and Yolanda went on a date with each other?

01:52:05 - 01:52:07 | Speaker 4:

Why not? That's about how I see it.

01:52:07 - 01:52:11 | Speaker 1:

What do you see it as? She's just a person that you ate with.

01:52:11 - 01:52:13 | Speaker 2:

How was it phrased when you guys decided to go out? Like, who asked you out?

01:52:17 - 01:52:23 | Speaker 1:

I mean, we just talked and... What did you think it was, Yolanda?

01:52:23 - 01:52:41 | Speaker 3:

i mean i mean i thought it was a date i i suggested for us to you know grab lunch uh for work and you know we had been you know kind of hanging out before and i thought that

01:52:41 - 01:52:46 | Speaker 2:

would be something nice to do wait so you guys you guys knew each other you guys have met each

01:52:46 - 01:52:57 | Speaker 1:

other before you went out on a date yeah yeah you said grab lunch for work y'all is it like a client relationship or what is the relationship? How do you know each other?

01:53:00 - 01:53:10 | Speaker 2:

We work together at the hospital. Okay. So you work together and you got lunch. You guys, let's just not scream date. Unless you said, would you like to go on a date with me? Is

01:53:10 - 01:53:34 | Speaker 3:

that something that you said no no I but but what I just you know we've spent time together before and we talk and we FaceTime I I thought that I didn't have to say it was a date because I thought that we were dating

01:53:34 - 01:53:39 | Speaker 2:

I know but you that's a big assumption to make so this is a co-worker that you went to lunch with

01:53:39 - 01:53:48 | Speaker 1:

and you're thinking, Yolanda, that it was a date. Greg, you're thinking it's we both got the same lunchtime. Let's just go together and have lunch.

01:53:49 - 01:53:54 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Also, I don't date coworkers.

01:53:56 - 01:54:02 | Speaker 1:

Have you guys gone out? You guys haven't done any? You talked about going out after this?

01:54:04 - 01:54:12 | Speaker 3:

Wait, wait, wait, wait. But you went out with Sarah and she works with us. Was it just a lunch?

01:54:13 - 01:54:17 | Speaker 4:

I mean, that's different. I currently don't make books. How is that different?

01:54:18 - 01:54:18 | Speaker 3:

How is that different?

01:54:21 - 01:54:32 | Speaker 4:

It's just different. Like, our little hangout was just casual, and we've only just been friends. Who was there? Just casual.

01:54:33 - 01:54:39 | Speaker 3:

We've hooked up several times. Like, how could you be just casual and just friends with someone you've hooked up with?

01:54:39 - 01:54:40 | Speaker 1:

Wait a second. Hold on.

01:54:41 - 01:54:42 | Speaker 3:

I am so confused.

01:54:42 - 01:54:46 | Speaker 1:

Yolanda, who is hooked up? Sarah is hooked up with him or you have hooked up with him?

01:54:47 - 01:54:49 | Speaker 3:

No, me and Greg.

01:54:49 - 01:54:56 | Speaker 1:

You have, wait, you have had, so there is more than just lunch. You have had, you guys have had sex with each other.

01:54:58 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:55:00 - 01:55:14 | Speaker 4:

So, you guys have had sex with each other, but the last time you guys were together, you guys had lunch. Greg says to us, this is just going to lunch with a co-worker. But, Greg, you don't just go to lunch with a co-worker that you've had sex with.

01:55:17 - 01:55:22 | Speaker 9:

I view this whole thing as just very casual. I'm not sure.

01:55:22 - 01:55:35 | Speaker 3:

actually i i agree with him because if they did not have any sort of communication to say this is a date we are going to like move in that direction it's hooking up and they're grabbing

01:55:35 - 01:55:49 | Speaker 4:

lunch yep i agree with them yeah not a co-worker though i mean you can't you can't have sex with a co-worker and then take them to lunch and you're going out that doesn't mean that it's a date who It's not paid. Greg, did you pay?

01:55:49 - 01:55:50 | Speaker 3:

You think it does?

01:55:51 - 01:55:54 | Speaker 4:

No. Oh, okay. So we split it. You guys split the lunch.

01:55:54 - 01:55:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's not a date. That's going to grab lunch.

01:55:57 - 01:56:11 | Speaker 4:

So if hypothetically we have two coworkers that are here, they're hooking up with each other, they go to lunch, and then one coworker decides, the guy coworker decides, I'm not going to call the girl coworker anymore.

01:56:13 - 01:56:14 | Speaker 3:

That's crappy.

01:56:14 - 01:56:24 | Speaker 4:

but i i don't think i i don't know i don't matt what do you think uh caller matt what's up

01:56:24 - 01:56:49 | Speaker 9:

well i you know what i called in a while ago and i've been on hold the whole thing's changed since i initially called in so it threw my whole comment out the window go ahead like now they're having sex and i was just gonna call it and say that that you know she wasn't given a lot at the beginning it was a pretty boring i could see why he just thought it was a lunch thing but But she gives a lot, apparently. Yeah, now it's changed, all kinds of stuff. So my comment's out the window. So good luck with that, guys.

01:56:50 - 01:57:02 | Speaker 4:

Wait, wait, Matt, honestly, do you think that they're in a, not a relationship, but do you think that there's more than just a co-worker lunch when they are, have had sex with each other and they've gone out?

01:57:02 - 01:57:17 | Speaker 9:

I mean, I do. I do, yes. I mean, when you're co-workers and you have sex and then you go to lunch, you, you know, I do think that's more a date scenario. But again, I don't know. I've been married 22 years. I, my knowledge on the dating scene is different than what it could be, but it sounds like to me.

01:57:17 - 01:57:27 | Speaker 4:

It, it, it seems like it's going to be a very awkward at the hospital, so to speak, because they both seem to work there. And God, I hope that you guys don't work together, do you, or just work around each other?

01:57:29 - 01:57:31 | Speaker 2:

I think we're around each other. Okay.

01:57:32 - 01:57:45 | Speaker 3:

I'm just saying it is up to both of you. If it's a scenario like that, especially if you are coworkers, you have to be crystal clear about what the situation is. If you're hooking up, if you're then going out, you cannot make assumptions in those situations.

01:57:45 - 01:57:51 | Speaker 5:

I don't even think you've got to be crystal clear, though. I think the vibe will give you the definition until you're ready to take it to another level.

01:57:51 - 01:57:54 | Speaker 3:

But the vibe gave her the definition that they were dating.

01:57:55 - 01:57:59 | Speaker 5:

She seemed like she's thinking more than what it is. Adam, what do you think is Mojo on the Morning?

01:58:00 - 01:58:14 | Speaker 7:

I think they're just hooking up, and she caught feelings, and he's just playing around. Like, I mean, he's at the hospital. There's a lot of people at the hospital. Pull over to the right. There's a lot of people hooking her up and all that kind of stuff.

01:58:15 - 01:58:20 | Speaker 4:

Is a hospital a big hookup place, Yolanda? Do a lot of people hook up with each other at the hospital you work at?

01:58:22 - 01:58:36 | Speaker 2:

Sort of. I mean, like, it's not like Grey's Anatomy or anything, but, like, people do, like, see each other and stuff. And, like, sometimes people form real relationships. And I thought that that was something that we were doing.

01:58:36 - 01:58:46 | Speaker 5:

These chauffeurs work, babe? Is this the first time you hooked up with somebody at work? Yeah. It'd get easier. You'd be all right.

01:58:46 - 01:58:51 | Speaker 4:

By the way, everybody's calling Greg the F-boy. Nick, what do you think, Nick?

01:58:53 - 01:59:07 | Speaker 6:

I think he's a player. I think he's trying to talk her and smooth her into, you know, getting in the bed, making her think that he likes her, and he got what he wanted, and now he's gone. He's done it to another girl. He's not gone.

01:59:07 - 01:59:12 | Speaker 5:

He's spending time with her. He's still... You see her at five. Yeah, but like... He hasn't answered her.

01:59:12 - 01:59:13 | Speaker 6:

He's not talking to her no more.

01:59:14 - 01:59:18 | Speaker 5:

Well, they've had sex more than once, though, it's all right. So it's not just a smash and leave.

01:59:18 - 01:59:25 | Speaker 4:

He's just... Well, not just smash, but... His intentions are not her intentions, and unfortunately, she just found that out right here on Second Date Update.

01:59:26 - 01:59:33 | Speaker 8:

This is the home of the dirty on the 30. Throwback, throwdown. Second Date Update. And War of the Roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:59:34 - 01:59:36 | Speaker 4:

01:59:36 - 01:59:42 | Speaker 1:

i'm just trying to understand his logic because he doesn't he won't date a co-worker but it's okay

01:59:42 - 02:00:29 | Speaker 4:

for him to sleep with them it's a fun hospital isn't it i guess so off the air tell me the name of that hospital i i want to know there's drama on that floor uh yeah thank you for the call i appreciate it all right second date update if you ever Thank you.

02:01:19 - 02:02:26 | Speaker 1:

We're going to start off with an update on what's happening over in California. Fires across the Los Angeles area have now taken the lives of 24 people that we know of and destroyed more than 12,000 structures. 60 square miles of land has just been scorched and thousands upon thousands of people have nowhere to go. The National Weather Service LA office is now warning residents this morning of a particular dangerous situation. And that is some red flag winds that are moving into the area tomorrow and Wednesday. Winds that could be strong enough to cause explosive fire growth. So this thing is far from over. And I saw over the weekend that not only is it California crews that are fighting this fire, eight other states have sent support along with firefighters from Canada and Mexico have all become part of the ongoing response to this. And I don't know if you guys saw this over the weekend. I saw it a few different places. this NBC LA reporter is getting some backlash for walking up to actor Dennis Quaid as he is packing his car to evacuate to do an interview. And people were just in disbelief at the audacity

02:02:26 - 02:03:00 | Speaker 6:

of this reporter. What you are looking at is a resident and a familiar face who is like so many thousands of people right now trying to get everything out of their home and trying to clear everything out this is academy award nominated actor and one of my favorites and just a terrific man all the way around this is dennis quaid hey how are you dennis say hi to nbc hello everybody los angeles you got the quaid smile still working yeah well what are you gonna

02:03:00 - 02:03:20 | Speaker 1:

do people were like leave him alone he's like trying to pack up his life and get to safety but I saw yesterday on Instagram Hoda Kotb posting a screenshot of her morning alarms all turned off following her departure from the Today Show after 17 years. No more 3 a.m. wake-ups. Friday was her very last show.

02:03:22 - 02:03:31 | Speaker 3:

So as I sit here today in my final moments on this final day in this chapter of my career, I want to say thank you.

02:03:31 - 02:03:37 | Speaker 1:

Among her final guests for her hodibration, as they called it, Olympic gold medalist. Simone Biles.

02:03:39 - 02:03:54 | Speaker 2:

I watched you grow up. I know. I watched you go to the mountaintop. I mean, I watched you fall down and get back up again, man. You are, when I think about all the things I've done here over all the 26 years, you're on top of my list, man.

02:03:54 - 02:04:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh, thank you. You really did it all. In another post, she was sharing words of praise and encouragement to her former co-host, now the host of that show, Jenna Bush Hagar. And she said, I'm doing the arms right now. Sleep tight. Then tomorrow morning, begin again. You are magic.

02:04:06 - 02:04:10 | Speaker 5:

She didn't show up for the goodbye or anything like that? She wasn't there? No, she wasn't. Jenna was there?

02:04:10 - 02:04:15 | Speaker 1:

No, but Jenna is now taking over that spot with some guest co-hosts until they find a permanent release.

02:04:15 - 02:04:17 | Speaker 5:

Does anybody watch morning television anymore?

02:04:17 - 02:04:19 | Speaker 4:

Well, we used to have the TVs in the old studio. I used to love on television.

02:04:19 - 02:04:21 | Speaker 1:

I do when I'm off.

02:04:21 - 02:04:43 | Speaker 5:

The ratings? Have you seen what the ratings are on that? No, what are they? Oh, my God. So today's show in Good Morning America compared to, like, Fox News in Detroit, like Jay Towers and Amy Andrews, it's, like, not even close. It's unbelievable. I just think, like, even this morning, I thought I was going to say something to you with 5 of 6.25. We do questions from that. I don't think our listeners know who the hell's on it. It used to be back in the day.

02:04:43 - 02:04:46 | Speaker 1:

Well, even if you don't know, it was everywhere this weekend. No, I know.

02:04:46 - 02:04:54 | Speaker 5:

But I'm not saying, but I just think, honestly, nowadays, I just don't think people watch news on television anymore or watch any of these talk shows on television.

02:04:54 - 02:04:56 | Speaker 1:

Isn't that a big part of it is there's less and less stay-at-home moms?

02:04:57 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 5:

Well, no, I think that there's probably less and less stay-at-home moms, and I think a lot of people...

02:05:00 - 02:05:04 | Speaker 2:

have streaming services that just don't watch television yeah they're watching just whatever

02:05:04 - 02:05:43 | Speaker 1:

show they want to watch the weekend said he's hoping to retire his nickname because he has overcome every challenge as this persona his real name abel tespe and he said the rat race of more success more shows and more albums doesn't end until he puts an end to the weekend and he said he's kind of mastered that persona he doesn't feel like it's a challenge anymore so might go away the weekend gonna release his next album hurry up tomorrow on january 24th it is the final installment in his blinding lights album trilogy the thought that your problem is just gonna go away as you change your name is crazy well he said he wants more of a challenge and

02:05:44 - 02:05:51 | Speaker 2:

02:05:51 - 02:06:51 | Speaker 1:

Dan accused of threatening to shoot some Dollar General employees who caught him trying to steal Hot Pockets from a Michigan Dollar General was eating Hot Pockets when police went to arrest him. It's the best story. Daniel Hudson is his name. Went into the Dollar General in Highland Park and began stuffing Hot Pockets into his pocket. When an employee confronted him, this dude took the Hot Pockets out of his pocket, grabbed a container of chicken wings, and began yelling at employees. While doing this, he allegedly showed a gun that he had in his pocket, threatening an employee that he would blow off his head. Lovely. So the manager called the police. The police came. The employee said, this guy is a regular customer. They did happen to know where he worked. So police went to his work where they found him in the break room eating the hot pockets that he had just stolen from Dollar General. So he was just, he was taken into custody. They did find the hot pockets, more hot pockets. And they also found a 9mm pistol in the backpack that he had on him as well.

02:06:51 - 02:06:56 | Speaker 2:

Real quick before you close this thing out. Finally, the Christmas songs are off of the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

02:06:57 - 02:06:58 | Speaker 1:

They were still on there last week.

02:06:58 - 02:07:20 | Speaker 2:

Christmas songs were on as of last week, yeah, because remember they were like a week late with the charts. Oh. And even over New Year's, that's what people were playing were still like a lot of the Christmas songs. So there's no more Christmas music in the Billboard Hot 100 charts. I want to see if you guys know what the top five songs are. Are you guys ready for it? Let's get it. Number five song in the country on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

02:07:22 - 02:07:24 | Speaker 1:

She taught me the dance to this.

02:07:28 - 02:07:32 | Speaker 2:

Is it Rose or Rose? She says it both ways.

02:07:32 - 02:07:36 | Speaker 1:

And she says Rosie. Yeah, she literally says it different ways.

02:07:36 - 02:08:05 | Speaker 2:

Number five song. The number four song, our jingle ball artist, Teddy Swims. He had a lot of love over the holidays, playing all our jingle balls for iHeartRadio. The number three song, Billie Eilish, Birds of a Feather.

02:08:09 - 02:08:13 | Speaker 1:

I feel like it's been the same songs on here for a long time.

02:08:13 - 02:08:57 | Speaker 2:

A lot of them, yeah. The number two song was the number one song of 2024, Shaboosie. This song, by the way, set the record for the longest number one song ever in the history of music. And now, the number one song in the country for the very first week of 2025. You'll hear Ryan Seacrest counting this down on Sundays here. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. This list is... Are you serious? This is the list. There's no Kendrick on this list? Kendrick Lamar's first.

02:08:57 - 02:08:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that surprises me.

02:08:58 - 02:09:28 | Speaker 2:

Gracie Abrams is number six. Kendrick Lamar Luther with SZA is number seven. And then it goes Post Malone Morgan Wallen number 8 Espresso number 9 Taste number 10 And then Kendrick TV Off Number 11 You want me to keep going? Yeah do the whole list How about should I just count them down for you? I can do that Alright so there you go There's your list of the top songs Dump that

02:09:28 - 02:09:33 | Speaker 1:

It's my favorite thing ever

02:09:33 - 02:09:43 | Speaker 2:

Your face when you did it. I just swore. I just swore. 25 years, baby. Oh, my God. Shannon, I didn't let you close out your dirty. Go ahead.

02:09:43 - 02:09:47 | Speaker 1:

02:09:59 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 1:

02:10:00 - 02:10:14 | Speaker 2:

That's funny. All right. Your call may be monitored or recorded. Vanessa, could you hear that on hold? Yes. You could hear that, yes. Sorry about that. You got $500 to help pay your rent. Congratulations.

02:10:15 - 02:10:22 | Speaker 1:

Yay. Thank you, guys. I'm so excited. And I'm excited because today's my birthday. So this is my birthday. Happy birthday.

02:10:24 - 02:10:26 | Speaker 2:

Have a great birthday. How old are you?

02:10:27 - 02:10:28 | Speaker 1:

I'm 38.

02:10:29 - 02:10:31 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's wonderful. Yes.

02:10:31 - 02:10:34 | Speaker 1:

I feel like $25, though. I love it. Good for you.

02:10:34 - 02:11:18 | Speaker 2:

Congratulations to you. You got $500 towards your rent, and it's all courtesy of the upcoming movie, One of Them Days, starring Kiki Palmer and SZA in theaters this Friday. Hang on the phone, and we'll get you set up, okay? All right. All right. Don't go anywhere. We're going to be paying bills coming up here in just a little bit, so we're going to be getting your bills paid with $1,000, And then we'll kick that off for the entire day for like, I think like 13 or plus times at about 10 after the hour. So be listening for that. All right. It is Mojo in the morning. Went out this weekend, got a shout out, Dr. Reynolds. Reynolds Orthodontics had a great time hanging out with Dr. Reynolds. We went to the Pistons game. That guy's got some great seats.

02:11:18 - 02:11:26 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. It was good to see you in the building, man. It was my first Pistons game of the year. And a lot of people recognize you. It was fun. Walking around, hugging.

02:11:26 - 02:11:38 | Speaker 2:

That was cool. It was good to see you. What Zach talked about last week with Kevin is so true. And, Shannon, you should go see him at a game. I know you see him in person, like you guys were at the auto show and stuff. This guy, he owns that stadium. I know. People love him.

02:11:38 - 02:11:40 | Speaker 3:

I want to take Smith to a game really bad.

02:11:40 - 02:13:17 | Speaker 2:

It's awesome. It's a great night. Well, if you want to go to a game, go with Dr. Reynolds and then field phone calls from people for the next, like, you know, 17 hours or so. That's what it's been like for me. I want to throw this out there. I am nobody's Bumble Hinge Tinder, okay? So we took a picture. We posted it up on our Instagram, Facebook. You can see it from this weekend if you don't know what Dr. Reynolds looks like. And now I've been getting calls from everybody asking me about the hot guy that I took a picture with. And is he single? And can I give them their phone number and do all this stuff? Have you ever had this happen to you? have you ever been in a picture with somebody or you're out with a friend and then everybody wants to meet your friend that's what it was like in dr reynolds by the way i gotta tell you something very nice guy you're a great guy people were asking me and they're like hey um is he single and i go well i think so i think he's you know he's how do you even know from that picture wait could you see his hand no but people saw how they saw i don't care everybody kept all the girls all the girls that saw him uh there was like five or six including somebody that uh that worked here um so they said they said who is the guy with the great chest i'm like what who's that i was sticking my belly in i'm like rolling that sucker in i'm like my man man teats are showing out you know but um and i'm like oh that's kevin they're like no i know kevin i'm like oh that's dr reynolds I think some of the comments actually say it, too.

02:13:17 - 02:13:18 | Speaker 1:

Oh, really?

02:13:18 - 02:13:20 | Speaker 3:

Okay, this happened to me over the weekend.

02:13:21 - 02:13:21 | Speaker 2:

Really?

02:13:21 - 02:13:42 | Speaker 3:

So, Kev and I are at the charity preview for the auto show with our boss, Colleen, who looked like a dang knockout. Oh, she's beautiful. And our boss, Tony. If I got one more DM about Tony or comment. Yes. I was like, the man is married to the most incredible woman, and he has three children.

02:13:43 - 02:13:43 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:13:43 - 02:13:53 | Speaker 3:

But people would not stop asking me about Tony. One girl, actually, I need to screenshot it and send it to him. They were like, ooh, that Tony is a sexual deviant.

02:13:54 - 02:13:57 | Speaker 1:

That's what it is. And he was Tux. It was the Tux.

02:13:57 - 02:14:01 | Speaker 3:

The Tux did it. No, he is not. Isn't that so funny?

02:14:01 - 02:14:03 | Speaker 2:

He is a sexual deviant. I'm telling you.

02:14:03 - 02:14:06 | Speaker 3:

This is weird fielding direct messages about my body.

02:14:07 - 02:14:54 | Speaker 2:

Well, it was weird. It was weird, too, because this is the part with Dr. Reynolds. I would never set this guy up. and the reason why I would never set them up, I'd be afraid that my friends would screw it up and I'd lose advertising. And I haven't gotten my spark clear aligners off yet. I don't want, I'm going to date for an appointment at 2 o'clock. I'm going to tell you what, the last thing in the world I want to do is have somebody that's like a divorcee friend of ours go out there and go on a date with them and mess something up. Wait 10 months. Wait, has anybody ever had this happen to them where they saw somebody in a friend's picture and you didn't know how to hit up your friend to find out who that person was because you wanted to meet them. Emily, what's going on? Hi. Hi. What's up, Emily? How are you? Good. I'm doing great. What's going on?

02:14:55 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, I called because I have a huge crush on Kev.

02:15:00 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 3:

What's up?

02:15:01 - 02:15:05 | Speaker 4:

What's your name again? Wait a second. Are you calling me because you want me to be his bumble?

02:15:06 - 02:15:15 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Oh, see that? Good morning. How are you, Emily? I'm doing well. How are you? I'm doing well. Just DM me on Instagram if you can. Oh, jeez.

02:15:15 - 02:15:49 | Speaker 4:

Kevin knows. Emily, have you ever called us before and gone on the air with us? No. First time, long time. Wait, Emily's up. Yeah. I'm telling you, Kevin, when he starts going out there and, I mean, I know he's out there, but I don't know if he's had any, you know, lovemaking. Somebody's going to ask him to shout out his name and do the first time on the phone thing. I'll do it. I need to get you that little. Hey, if that's what she wants, DM me, though. I'm in there right now. Emily, Emily, what is it about this guy that makes you like him?

02:15:49 - 02:15:50 | Speaker 3:

That's a good question.

02:15:50 - 02:15:58 | Speaker 1:

Well, I just think he's got the nicest personality. All of his comments, I feel like I was thinking before he says them. Interesting.

02:15:59 - 02:16:02 | Speaker 4:

By the way, what about his smile brought to you by Dr. Reynolds?

02:16:02 - 02:16:07 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's funny. It's funny.

02:16:07 - 02:16:16 | Speaker 4:

Nice to meet you, Emily. Do you ever get, even though you're a taken person, do you ever get bothered when people notice other people in the picture but don't ever show you? That's my thing. It's a jealousy thing.

02:16:16 - 02:16:17 | Speaker 2:

You get bothered?

02:16:17 - 02:16:32 | Speaker 4:

I get jealous. And I don't want anybody hitting, but it's like, I'm not chopped liver. What about me? You know what I mean? Like, I get this. Every time I take a picture with my wife, every time, all the comments are how beautiful she is.

02:16:32 - 02:16:33 | Speaker 2:

Is that hard for you?

02:16:33 - 02:16:37 | Speaker 4:

Like, am I that not attractive that you have to?

02:16:37 - 02:16:43 | Speaker 2:

He pissed. I'm pissed. That's so tough. KP, we need to post a photo of just Mojo today and have people give him nice compliments.

02:16:44 - 02:16:44 | Unknown:

Yay.

02:16:45 - 02:17:01 | Speaker 4:

No, here's the deal. No, no, no. Don't do that. because I don't want it to sound like Baguette. Post a photo of me, but then put blotches over everybody else's face. You know how they cover up people's faces with, like, they blur them out because they don't want them to be seen and stuff like that? That's what I want you to do.

02:17:02 - 02:17:05 | Speaker 2:

No, post that same photo, but put his face on everybody's body.

02:17:06 - 02:17:08 | Speaker 4:

Emily, why are you calling back? What's going on? Are you calling?

02:17:09 - 02:17:12 | Speaker 1:

Well, I didn't hear anybody say my face.

02:17:13 - 02:17:20 | Speaker 4:

Emily called back a second time because she really wants to. Kevin wants you to hit him up in his DMs, okay?

02:17:20 - 02:17:26 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, DM me, Kev knows, on Instagram. Kev knows, okay. I'm checking for it right now.

02:17:26 - 02:17:41 | Speaker 4:

How many hours in a day are you DMing back and forth with girls? No, next caller. Kevin, by the way, text her here, 419 says, Kevin is fine as wine. I appreciate that, 419. Hit him up in his DM.

02:17:41 - 02:17:43 | Speaker 2:

You know who else was fine as wine was his date at the auto show.

02:17:44 - 02:17:51 | Speaker 3:

Yes, and shout out to the people. Look, boy, there's a reason why she was selection number one. She was incredible. Looked immaculate.

02:17:52 - 02:17:54 | Speaker 4:

I heard, though, that you thought that she wasn't going to show up.

02:17:54 - 02:18:22 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I thought, bro, I thought I got stood up. So the situation was, I told her, I was like, it started at 5, ended at 10. I wasn't going to get there at 5. I was planning to get there around like 6 or 7. So in my mind, I'm like, okay, she don't live that far. This is what she told me. I'm like, come over to my crib. We're pregame. I only live like eight minutes from Huntington. So if you go Uber Black, Uber Excel, it don't even cost you that much money. but you still pull up looking sweet. So I'm like, babe, come to the crib pregame, got the alcohol, got the wine. Let's chill for a minute.

02:18:22 - 02:18:24 | Speaker 4:

Is this the short version or the long version?

02:18:24 - 02:19:00 | Speaker 3:

All right. So we, so look, so I, so then she's like, she hit me up at like five 30 or six. And like, my hair is not dry. You might as well just go. And then I'll meet you in my mind. I'm like, okay, this sounds like some trash. I'm like, all right, I'm just going to get there at six or seven. It come about six o'clock. I still ain't heard from him. I'm like, I'm just about to go. I'm not wasting my time. I get there, meet Shannon, see Tony. They're like, where your date at? I'm like, I think I'm getting stood up. About 6.30, 6.45, she called me. She's like, where you at? I'm like, I'm here. She's like, oh, no. All this type of stuff. So she Ubered, and it was all good. Oh, okay. All right, so it's just a... And then I never saw Shannon again. I missed you.

02:19:01 - 02:19:09 | Speaker 2:

I texted you. I'm like, where did you go? Once your date showed up, it was like, bye-bye, Kevin. Yeah, I'm out of here. Flo Rida. I thought he'd come over for Flo Rida. Never saw you.

02:19:09 - 02:19:16 | Speaker 4:

So this girl was looking so great. I'll show you her. You were like, I'm going, we're going to make this date be non-auto show related at this time.

02:19:16 - 02:19:20 | Speaker 3:

I didn't see one car. I saw it was her. Couldn't tell you what's there.

02:19:20 - 02:19:20 | Speaker 4:

Really?

02:19:20 - 02:19:23 | Speaker 2:

I said, Tony Kelly, do you guys see Kevin? Anybody see Kevin? Nope.

02:19:23 - 02:19:26 | Speaker 4:

You give her a little bit of time and be patient. Patience.

02:19:27 - 02:19:30 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm not looking to date. I know, but I'm saying.

02:19:30 - 02:19:34 | Speaker 4:

But she said she needed a little bit of time. You didn't believe her. You thought that she was just lying. Yeah.

02:19:34 - 02:19:39 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I'm on my time right now. Between God and myself. where Spirit leading me is where I'm going.

02:19:40 - 02:19:41 | Speaker 2:

What time did you tell her to be ready?

02:19:42 - 02:19:50 | Speaker 3:

I think I said like 5.30 or 6. But it was the, it's 5.30, 6. My hair is getting dry. Let's switch everything around. I'll meet you there.

02:19:50 - 02:19:54 | Speaker 4:

That event is way early, isn't it? Isn't that thing? Like they started way too early.

02:19:54 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 2:

So that is the one thing I said to Kev. I'm like, it got to be like 9.45. And all of a sudden I looked around and I go, Wes?

02:20:00 - 02:20:02 | Speaker 4:

Like, what's happening? Where did everybody go? I didn't realize that.

02:20:02 - 02:20:03 | Speaker 2:

People leave and they go to dinner reservations.

02:20:04 - 02:20:08 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Well, that's when I was ready to party. Start partying. Everybody leaves. And it was done.

02:20:08 - 02:20:19 | Speaker 2:

All the restaurants downtown are packed with people. It is. It's like going to prom. It's like the opposite of prom where you go to dinner before prom and then you go to prom. Auto prom. Yeah, they do. Yeah. What's up, Lauren? Hi.

02:20:21 - 02:20:22 | Speaker 1:

Phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. The text is 95500. I got to ask you guys a question because you guys went to the auto show. What's the story? Because Kev was talking about the coat check.

02:22:44 - 02:23:26 | Speaker 3:

There was like some kind of a coat check thing that happened? First off, it's like six different entrances to the auto show. But there's only one coat check. First off, that's an issue right there. Having to have people walk all the way from, let's just say, the west side to the east side to check their coats is ridiculous. Oh, my God. There were so many coats that got lost and or stolen to the point where at the end of the night, when I'm walking down there, because I don't do coat check. I'm not checking a coat. No, I'll leave that bad boy in the car and just freeze for the little five minutes. But my day had her coat. She had to go get it. Bruh. All I walk up in here is a sheriff on a microphone. He's like on a megaphone. Like, attention, everybody. We understand what's happening.

02:23:26 - 02:23:59 | Speaker 4:

We are trying our best. There were probably 2,000 people waiting to get codes. It was like 25 people deep. And as long as like this building, this floor. Is it because everybody left at the same time? Yes. But like to Kev's point, like it was such a great event. And then they were just not prepared at the end. They actually brought in the Detroit police, the state police, and I think the Wayne County police were in there as well. It was absolute insanity. It was crazy. It was insane. Why is this co-worker waiting two hours for his wife's coat?

02:23:59 - 02:24:07 | Speaker 3:

I get what you're saying, Megan. If it's like a flood of people at one time, how do you stop? My thing is, have more than one coat check. Don't just have it all in one area.

02:24:07 - 02:24:09 | Speaker 4:

You know everybody's leaving at the same time. It's not a long event.

02:24:10 - 02:24:41 | Speaker 2:

This is the reason why I don't coat check. I will not coat check because I have a hard time finding coats. And if I lose my coat, it's not a good thing. But also, I feel like I've had more bad experiences at coat checks. Not this one. I've never been to this Huntington Place coat check. I've never done that before. But I have had my coat be taken at, like, restaurants or at events. And then they're looking for the coat. And I'm like, find the size, you know, 56 or something like that.

02:24:41 - 02:24:51 | Speaker 4:

Well, shout out to Detroit police because they were taking people's phone numbers in order to make sure they got their coat. So, like, you know, it was kind of a stain on a beautiful night.

02:24:51 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 3:

From the beginning of the process, look, because my girl, she, I was like, do your thing, I'm going to go sit down real quick. It took her about 30 minutes just to.

02:25:00 - 02:25:04 | Speaker 2:

check her coat then she said she had to pay an extra 20 because it like i think it was some

02:25:04 - 02:25:10 | Speaker 1:

nefarious activities i worked coaching before you're such a gentleman you said i'm gonna go

02:25:10 - 02:25:13 | Speaker 2:

sit down my feet are hurting i mean she said she i didn't say my feet were hurting me but she have

02:25:13 - 02:25:43 | Speaker 1:

she had people she knew so i was like okay knock that out what do they call it uh in the when you're your bar like uh what is the deal when you don't wear a coat to a bar and all the girls smart no Anytime I ever go to a bar, there's a name for it. There's a term for it. There's a name for it. Where you go to a bar, and the women never have coats on at the bars. Oh, yeah. And they're standing in line, and every guy's got a big old coat on, and he's not giving his coat up. He's like not a gentleman at all.

02:25:44 - 02:26:01 | Speaker 2:

See, I don't think I should. I'm just going to say, you knew it was cold outside. You made that decision. Now I have to be cold just to be a quote-unquote gentleman? Like, come on, man. I understand being nice, and the world got us in such a way where I look like an a-hole, but let's remember, you chose to leave your coat in the car.

02:26:01 - 02:26:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:26:02 - 02:26:07 | Speaker 2:

So many places don't have a place to put your coat. I don't want to carry it all night. All right, well, you're cold, Dan.

02:26:07 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 1:

You're cold. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I was happy I was cold that night. I want to hear the coat check crazy stories. Like, I want to hear the deal. Like, has anybody ever had it where the coat check person, you know, was like walking out with your coat on.

02:26:24 - 02:26:28 | Speaker 2:

Or you got a coat back that wasn't yours and there was something in the pocket that was like good or bad.

02:26:28 - 02:27:07 | Speaker 1:

I always hear the stories about dry cleaners where this happens, where the person will, you bring something to the dry cleaner and the dry cleaner takes your dry cleaning and takes off your, takes your clothes. Has anybody ever run into their dry cleaner out in your dress? I'm telling you, there's a term for that. We're girls, we're... There is, and I don't know why I didn't ask for it. Because recently, I think it was like, even a year ago, I think I was talking about being up on campus at Michigan State and out in front of Harper's there was all these college girls all in the they looked like they were dressed for summertime on a lake. I'm not going to say

02:27:07 - 02:27:09 | Speaker 2:

snow hoes. That ain't what you're talking about.

02:27:09 - 02:27:30 | Speaker 1:

That's it. It's like something like that. Something like that. Yeah, they're doing something like that. A texter here says I one time lost my coat only to find the coat check person leaving at the end of the night and their car had a bunch of coats in it. Where were they taking them to? What's up, Terry? How you doing?

02:27:31 - 02:27:53 | Speaker 5:

I'm good, thank you. I have a I was working at a restaurant Larco's in Troy many years ago and I hung my coat in the coat check in the back and some drunk lady went to leave and had my coat on with my car keys and we could not get it off of her. And I kept saying, I kept saying, put your hand in the pocket. My keys are there. It was like a whole ordeal.

02:27:54 - 02:28:00 | Speaker 1:

So she wouldn't believe that it was your coat and you could prove that there were your keys that were sitting in the car or in the coat.

02:28:00 - 02:28:05 | Speaker 5:

She was not listening to anything. It was her coat. It was going to be her car.

02:28:06 - 02:28:08 | Speaker 1:

Larco's, by the way, was a great place.

02:28:08 - 02:28:18 | Speaker 5:

I think it's still there. Is it? It sure was. Hey, let me give a shout out. They still got a pizza place in Auburn Hills, by the way. And they sell some of their pasta sauce as the sun runs in. That place was so good.

02:28:19 - 02:28:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, shout out to Larkos. What's up, Sue? How you doing?

02:28:23 - 02:28:48 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mojo. So my husband and I went to the auto show many, many years ago, and this doesn't sound like it's a problem that's been fixed because we were waiting on our coats, waiting so long. Finally, he's like, screw it. I'm going to go back there and look for my coat. So he's looking, he's looking, and then who comes up to him? Harry Harrison from the news gives him his coat check and says, hey, can you get my coat for me? He's like, Harry, I don't work here. I'm just looking for my own coat.

02:28:48 - 02:29:04 | Speaker 1:

I always love when people think that you're the coat check person or the hostess or host at a restaurant. And they'll come up to you and go, yeah, hi, can I get a table over four? I'm like, I'm like you, man. I'm just sitting there working the same process, trying to get through. What's up, Candace?

02:29:06 - 02:29:07 | Speaker 3:

Hi, how are you?

02:29:07 - 02:29:14 | Speaker 1:

Good. What's going on? We're talking about the, I love when Kevin uses words, nefarious acts at a coat check.

02:29:14 - 02:29:58 | Speaker 3:

yeah when i used to go out in royal oak all the time i checked my coat at blackfin and oh i miss black it was like i know and it was like a 700 coat that i got on sale a 700 coat but i got it for like 200 so it was like the thrill of my life and um it went missing it wasn't there at the end of the night and i kept calling blackfin and we knew like a couple people that worked there and it turns out that one of the bartenders like they had so many meetings about my missing coat finally one of the one of the staff like fessed up and turned in my coat and no way wow but i got it back

02:29:58 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 1:

that's crazy you want

02:30:00 - 02:30:05 | Speaker 4:

I wonder sometimes if they meant it on purpose or if they did it completely by... It's got to be on purpose, right?

02:30:06 - 02:30:09 | Speaker 3:

If they had to quote-unquote fess up, it was done on purpose.

02:30:09 - 02:30:10 | Speaker 4:

Rose, what's up, Rose?

02:30:11 - 02:30:12 | Speaker 3:

Hi, how are you today?

02:30:13 - 02:30:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I was at the auto show last night and they gave me the wrong fur coat and you just had a whole bunch of condoms in both the pockets. That was my coat?

02:30:21 - 02:30:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:30:23 - 02:30:28 | Speaker 2:

My boyfriend's looking at me like, why do you have all those condoms in your pocket? I'm like, I don't think this is my coat.

02:30:28 - 02:31:00 | Speaker 4:

Rose, can I be honest with you? If I'm wearing a fur, I'm not coat-checking a fur. Oh, it's Detroit, bro. It ain't nothing but meks and furs in there. I want anymore. Our furs are expensive, man. That's like driving, I don't know, a Ferrari to a valet park at the mall. I would never do that. That's all you're going to see? Really? I promise you. You guys are crazy. You think that you're going to get that fur back, right? Yeah. By the way, which fur was nicer, the one with the condoms or without the condoms?

02:31:01 - 02:31:04 | Speaker 2:

The one with the condoms. That's why I knew it wasn't my condoms.

02:31:07 - 02:31:11 | Speaker 1:

A lot of people calling up about the charity preview thing real quick. What's up, Rod? How you doing? Hey, what's going on, Mojo? Hey, Rod, what was the issue with why the co-check issue was going on?

02:32:14 - 02:32:45 | Speaker 2:

Well, the thing was the tickets, it was three different colors. It was blue, beige, and white. They weren't placed in color-coordinated locations. They weren't placed in the mayoral, or they were just hung up. And then we got out, because we got there late because of the snow. So when we're leaving out, we go, and we see this big crowd, and we're like, surely it's going to be moving fast. And we were standing there. I ran into more people that I knew in the coat check than I did during the show.

02:32:45 - 02:32:45 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no.

02:32:45 - 02:33:14 | Speaker 2:

But I did see folks, and like Shannon said, all the different police departments were there. It was incredible. There were some folks getting arrested because they wanted to come over the table and grab their coat. One lady kept yelling, I see my coat, I see my coat. And they said, if I don't see that ticket, I don't see your coat. It was just bad. It was just really bad, man. That was two hours. We didn't even go to any after parties. We were just tired.

02:33:14 - 02:33:18 | Speaker 4:

Shannon was like, where did everybody go? Because everybody walked out. They all went to go get their coat.

02:33:18 - 02:33:25 | Speaker 3:

No, I seriously wasn't. I was walking in. I was like, ooh, maybe there's like an effort party right there. And he was like, that's the coat check.

02:33:25 - 02:33:32 | Speaker 1:

I was to God, though. If you would have given me a Red Bull and an edible, I would have had it sorted out in about 45 minutes. I would have been done.

02:33:34 - 02:33:51 | Speaker 4:

All right. Well, thank you for the call, Rod. Appreciate the info. All right. It is Mojo in the morning. Okay. So, Megan, I want to get to this topic because I want to make sure it doesn't get too late to uh to be able to do this um would you give a stranger a ride i feel really bad about this

02:33:51 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 1:

uh you want me to get into the whole story right now i want you to get right into this so this past weekend i was sitting outside of um some government buildings in toledo and as i was sitting there i was going through my phone i was trying to figure out the address of the next place i was trying to be i was late for an appointment and um i couldn't find the address i couldn't find the address and I was getting super frustrated and I hear this tapping noise on my window which just I'm sorry aggravates the hell out of me like if you see somebody sitting alone in the car and you knock on the window you're a terrible person period point blank you scared the crap out of me I don't like being scared um but it was actually a young guy he was I'm so bad at ages if I had to guess his age he was anywhere between 18 and like 21 I don't know some somewhere in there okay and he knocked on my window and I rolled it down. I go, Hey, what's going on? And he goes, I need a ride home. And immediately I'm like, no, buddy, I'm sorry. No, I'm not going to give you a ride home. I'm sitting alone in my car. I have no idea who you are. I'm not going to allow you into my vehicle to give you a ride home. It's not going to happen. I said, I'm really sorry. I'm running late for, I didn't say that to him, by the way, I'm nicer than that.

02:35:00 - 02:35:35 | Speaker 4:

But I said to him, I'm late for this appointment. I'm trying to figure out where I'm going. Can I Venmo you some money to call an Uber? And he said, my phone is dead. I can't call an Uber. I can't give you a ride home because that feels so unsafe. I cannot give you money to get a ride home. Like, there's nothing I can do. And he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. And I thought about this all weekend, all weekend, that it was cold outside. He was a young dude, whatever. But in my mind, I could not give you a ride. I'm with you. I wouldn't have either.

02:35:36 - 02:35:40 | Speaker 2:

Did you think about maybe Ubering him? I tried, but he didn't have a phone. I'm saying calling it from your phone.

02:35:41 - 02:35:43 | Speaker 4:

But I had to leave, so where is the Uber going to go?

02:35:43 - 02:35:44 | Speaker 2:

Well, no, just current location.

02:35:45 - 02:35:50 | Speaker 3:

I think in this day and age, you've got to assume the worst of all the situations.

02:35:50 - 02:35:51 | Speaker 2:

I'm for sure not giving him a ride.

02:35:52 - 02:35:53 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no. I'm with you on that.

02:35:53 - 02:36:00 | Speaker 4:

I felt absolutely awful all weekend. So wait, so you were second-guessing yourself? I cried about this. I cried about it. I cried about it.

02:36:00 - 02:36:00 | Speaker 3:

What made you cry?

02:36:01 - 02:36:02 | Speaker 4:

Because I knew how cold it was.

02:36:03 - 02:36:03 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:36:03 - 02:36:04 | Speaker 4:

And I felt guilty.

02:36:05 - 02:36:10 | Speaker 1:

Was there any other, I'm sure you already thought about this, but was there any other building that you could point him inside to be like?

02:36:10 - 02:36:12 | Speaker 4:

He had come from a government building. Okay.

02:36:12 - 02:36:12 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

02:36:14 - 02:36:18 | Speaker 3:

So, all right, here's a question. Has anybody ever given a stranger a ride? My mama.

02:36:18 - 02:36:21 | Speaker 2:

My mama used to do this all the time.

02:36:21 - 02:36:22 | Speaker 4:

Oh my God.

02:36:22 - 02:36:38 | Speaker 2:

My mama used to do this all the time. I'm talking about, and not just a certain type of person. Like, my mom had given old ladies at the grocery store rides. We picked people up from the bus station when I was a young kid. My mom used to be, like, get in the back, like, randos. My mom was, like, she was really on that.

02:36:38 - 02:36:39 | Speaker 1:

Mojo, you did it. Like a saint.

02:36:40 - 02:36:41 | Speaker 2:

I did one time, but it was.

02:36:41 - 02:36:43 | Speaker 1:

I'll never forget that story. Chelsea was so, because weren't you on the phone with Chelsea?

02:36:44 - 02:37:00 | Speaker 3:

Yes. It was, we were at the, I was at the gas station, the Shell station, and the person wanted a ride to the Kroger. And it was. Like, just down the street, right? They had to go to work. But they looked like they had the uniform. I don't know. It's kind of like they were dressed in the uniform.

02:37:01 - 02:37:09 | Speaker 1:

That's something, and I feel like I feel bad about a lot of things. I wouldn't feel bad about. Safety is paramount there.

02:37:10 - 02:37:16 | Speaker 2:

You want to be a nice person. You want to be kind. You want to help somebody in need. But at what cost and risk to yourself do you do that?

02:37:16 - 02:37:20 | Speaker 1:

And then if you pick this person up and something happened to you, people would be like, you idiot. Yeah.

02:37:21 - 02:37:23 | Speaker 4:

But I also feel like it's my obligation to help others.

02:37:23 - 02:37:29 | Speaker 3:

and I didn't I left them in a crappy situation and you know how horrible the cold is but Natalie

02:37:29 - 02:38:07 | Speaker 6:

what's up how you doing I'm good good morning guys good morning this is actually one of the craziest stories of my life when I was a kid my dad accidentally left my mom and I at a rest stop and it was like three in the morning we were right on the border of like Tennessee and I don't know whatever state that is and this lady saw my dad drive away without us and she was like do you guys need a ride and she drove us like three hours until my dad like got caught by highway police and they were like hey you accidentally left your child and why how did that happen

02:38:07 - 02:38:13 | Speaker 2:

is a bigger part of that story that was an accident yeah okay you don't forget two people

02:38:13 - 02:38:45 | Speaker 6:

we had like one of those really big like creeper vans and my mom and i had been sleeping in the back so he went in and thought that we had stayed in the car oh it was like 3 a.m we were so sleep deprived so there's a bunch of blankets back there and it looks like you know two bodies so he just thought we were really asleep and he was like you guys ready to go we didn't say anything obviously we weren't there so he just took that is a crazy story wow uh by the way i bet your mom never let

02:38:45 - 02:38:50 | Speaker 3:

him live that one now ever again chris what's up it's mojo in the morning hi hey how are you good

02:38:50 - 02:39:25 | Speaker 5:

what's going on so i gave this girl it was like probably like midnight one time i was at a gas station and she was hysterically crying and like hysterically crying um freaking out i heard her like on and off the phone, using the phone at the gas station, like just crazy. So I was like, where are you going? And she told me it was like 15 minutes from where I lived. And because I would normally never give anyone a ride, I don't know why I did, but I'm like, I need you to dump out your purse, take your jacket off, empty all of your pockets and turn around because I got to see if you have any weapons.

02:39:26 - 02:39:29 | Speaker 3:

Get out with your hands up.

02:39:30 - 02:39:33 | Speaker 5:

I mean, look, if you want to get in my car,

02:39:33 - 02:39:50 | Speaker 3:

that by the way i wouldn't mess with you i'd be like okay it's a ride well no i'll be like i need a ride i'll i'll go naked in the car maybe not naked what's up cassie hi hi yes my mom actually

02:39:50 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 5:

we were driving home and she hit a guy on a bike um me and my brother were in the car and She hit some dude, and we drove him home.

02:40:00 - 02:40:11 | Speaker 1:

I mean, that's the least you could say. You hit him now. I'd probably do that. You were just trying to avoid him calling 911, so you're like, hit the car.

02:40:11 - 02:40:26 | Speaker 4:

Hold on a second. Do we give him a ride? Do we call the police? Do we run? That's crazy. Hopefully he was okay. Melissa, what do you think about Megan feeling bad about not giving this guy a ride? She's smart, right, and not giving him a ride?

02:40:27 - 02:40:54 | Speaker 1:

I think you've got to trust your gut with that. Yeah. I've driven people home. If I saw them, like, if I pass a disabled vehicle and they're walking with a can of gas, I've given them rides there. I've given, like, kids, younger kids, obviously, than me, who are walking in, like, shorts in this weather, I've given them rides home. Yeah. But I fully expect that one of these times I do it, I'm going to get jumped in my car. You got to be careful. Yeah, you do have to trust your God. And it depends on where you're at as well. I mean, in Toledo, no way. There's no way I would do it.

02:40:54 - 02:41:05 | Speaker 4:

Well, in front of the government building in Toledo. No. But I'm saying anywhere. I would say any city or any town you've got to be worried about. I wouldn't just randomly do it.

02:41:05 - 02:41:06 | Speaker 3:

It's crazy as all over.

02:41:07 - 02:41:15 | Speaker 4:

By the way, that woman was from Toledo because of her area code. That's why she said it. So she wasn't dissing on Toledo from another city.

02:41:16 - 02:41:42 | Speaker 3:

I did do this one time. I was downtown Royal Oak. I think I was leaving the club or doing something, and this girl had knocked on my window. She's like, hey, can you give me a ride? I live down the street. Can you just drop me off in my apartment? And I was hesitant, but I let her in. and nothing happened. I wasn't in my brain. How much money did she ask for? Nothing, bro. I didn't even try to smash her. Are you sure she wasn't like a prostitute or anything? No, she got out right at her spot. She's like, my dad is a lawyer. She had like this whole conversation and thing.

02:41:43 - 02:41:49 | Speaker 4:

I'd be afraid that she was trying to set you up for something. I wasn't thinking. Sean, are you there?

02:41:51 - 02:41:52 | Speaker 2:

Hi, yeah.

02:41:52 - 02:41:55 | Speaker 4:

Sean gave a lady a ride, right? Is that right?

02:41:56 - 02:42:00 | Speaker 2:

I gave her a ride to multiple garage sales, actually.

02:42:01 - 02:42:06 | Speaker 4:

So you were just trying to be nice, and then next thing you know, she wants you to go to garage sales with her?

02:42:07 - 02:42:47 | Speaker 2:

I was already garage sailing, and she was at one of these garage sales, and she asked if I could take her ride to the one that was right down the street. And I was like, yeah, you know, like, absolutely. Turns out she was from Nigeria, so maybe this is common for them. But she kept telling me to, like, wait for her to go to the next garage sale. And I did. And we ended up, like, going garage sale-ing, like, for, like, half of the morning. And then finally I was like, I really got to go. Is there somewhere that I can drop you in your, like, boxes of clothes? She was buying clothes that she was going to ship back to her family. Oh, wow. That's nice. Like the nicest lady ever. That's a good, happy ending.

02:42:47 - 02:42:51 | Speaker 4:

Oh, jeez. Coming up on Mojo in the Morning.

02:42:51 - 02:42:53 | Speaker 2:

You'll hear this. This is very, very careful.

02:42:55 - 02:43:14 | Speaker 4:

We have a chance for you to go and cheer on the Lions. We're going to tell you about the contest with a good twist to it that we're going to be pulling off here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. We'll talk about that next. Shannon's going to do the dirty, and we're giving away Kendrick Lamar and SZA tickets right after this. Don't go anywhere.

02:43:14 - 02:43:21 | Speaker 1:

Today's weather forecast is holy crap. Oh, holy cow. It's so cold that my boogers freeze when I breathe.

02:43:21 - 02:43:23 | Speaker 3:

This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:43:27 - 02:43:56 | Speaker 4:

We're going to give you some Hendrick and SZA tickets. If you would like to win, text to win, text. Let's do mustard. Mustard. Mustard. I always love when people say mustard. M-U-S-T-A-R-D is the word for texting in. at 95500, just that word, standard text and data rates to apply, and you have a chance to win Kendrick Lamar SZA tickets for that show at Ford Field.

02:43:57 - 02:44:00 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:44:00 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 4:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. We're going to tell you this. If you want to go see a great experience, a Lions game, we have a breaking and entering Christmas wish donation that is going to be pretty amazing. a chance for you to win the money to be able to buy your tickets, but it's got to be somebody that is looking for this as an opportunity to give back to somebody that you know that might really need a life-changing moment happen for them. Maybe like earlier this morning, we had that mom that called up. She was a single mom, kids busting his ass at school. Kids had nothing but amazing uh things that he's been doing for mom but mom feels like she can't do anything for him that was crazy that was like a great story had us crying had her crying also just one came in just a couple of minutes ago of dad has been a lifelong

02:45:00 - 02:45:31 | Speaker 6:

Lions fan has never gone and dad was just diagnosed with an illness. These are all amazing stories that we are going to give you a chance to go to the game this weekend through the help of one of our biggest contributors of breaking and entering Christmas wish. So go to mojoswish.org and tell us why you would like to go and see a Lions game. And that particular person is going to buy you a Ticketmaster gift card to go and buy the tickets on Ticketmaster Exchange.

02:45:31 - 02:45:32 | Speaker 2:

So cool.

02:45:32 - 02:45:33 | Speaker 6:

Shannon, what's up in this journey?

02:45:34 - 02:45:44 | Speaker 2:

Hey, so these wildfires, I mean, are just raging on and really, really strong winds tomorrow and Wednesday are just going to make it even worse, unfortunately.

02:45:44 - 02:45:46 | Speaker 6:

As bad as the winds were last week?

02:45:46 - 02:46:15 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I mean, but they're saying it's going to be, it's strong. Like they're calling it a red flag situation. But amid like all of that devastation, there are people who I just I don't understand how their brains work. But there was a man I saw who was arrested on Saturday night. He was dressed up like a firefighter, but he was not a firefighter. He was just simply attempting to burglarize homes amid all of this tragedy. This is L.A. County Sheriff Robert Luna talking about it.

02:46:15 - 02:46:32 | Speaker 3:

I saw a gentleman that looked like a firefighter and I asked him if he was OK because he was sitting down. I didn't realize we had him in handcuffs. We were turning him over to LAPD because he was dressed like a fireman, and he was not. He just got caught burglarizing a home.

02:46:32 - 02:46:55 | Speaker 2:

Like, what the heck is wrong with you? You know what else I saw over the weekend is there is this thing that's happening there where people are evacuating. So they're leaving their cars, like, open and unlocked in their driveway as they're going back and forth, like, racing, trying to get out stuff. and people are stealing everything from their cars as they're doing that. Jeez. I mean, these poor people cannot catch a break.

02:46:55 - 02:47:15 | Speaker 6:

A special place in hell for you if you do something like that. The other one, too, is these drone idiots. Have you heard about that? These guys that are flying their drones so they can get the pictures to put on social media. One of the drones ended up hitting a Canadian firefighting plane and ended up damaging the plane so bad they couldn't have the plane go back up in the air.

02:47:15 - 02:47:28 | Speaker 5:

The FBI releasing these images of the Super Scooper aircraft struck by a drone while battling the Palisades fire Thursday. That hole, about three by six inches in size. They say this is the drone that caused it.

02:47:28 - 02:47:37 | Speaker 1:

There are so many unauthorized drones in the area that they are impacting law enforcement and firefighters' efforts to suppress this fire and actually get it contained.

02:47:37 - 02:47:40 | Speaker 2:

You'll get a felony for that. It's an emergency situation. You will get a felony.

02:47:40 - 02:48:03 | Speaker 6:

I'm surprised that drones, especially with all the stuff that we've seen of drones over towns and things like not knowing, I can't believe that drones are allowed. Like, I know that the idea, it's a great, you know, cool, great air, you know, you're flying an object that potentially could crash into somebody. Yeah. Like, you know what I mean? Like, that is, to me, it's amazing that they don't sit there and have restricted airspace for that.

02:48:03 - 02:48:15 | Speaker 2:

Khloe Kardashian, by the way, getting slammed right now by liberals for calling L.A. Mayor Karen Bass a joke for cutting the city fire department's budget just months before these disastrous wildfires. Did you hear why she's getting called out?

02:48:15 - 02:48:16 | Speaker 6:

No.

02:48:16 - 02:48:48 | Speaker 2:

So several critics, especially on X, hopped on with tweets to call out Khloe and actually her sister Kim, for that matter, because they both went hundreds of thousands of gallons over the allotted water limit in the area during like all of the droughts. Um, Chloe's Calabasas home went like a hundred and one thousand gallons of water over the allotted limit while Kim's properties used about 232,000 of excess gallons of water and they're saying, you know, you contributed to the drought. Yeah.

02:48:48 - 02:49:34 | Speaker 6:

You, you were a problem then when we did, did you hear about the, uh, the mayor, what's her name? Uh, Karen Bass. Yeah. So did you hear that during her run for the office, one of the things that she said as a campaign promise was she would never leave our country. Like she would never travel abroad. And she was over in Africa for that thing that was going on, whatever. It was like the inauguration of some African leader. And that was literally one of the things that she ran. And so right now they're running all of these promos all over television of her words saying, if you vote me mayor, I will never travel abroad because I'll always be close to L.A. The worst time to get caught out of the country.

02:49:34 - 02:49:52 | Speaker 4:

So right before the wildest fire in our country, we cut some of the funding for the fire department. Allegedly. allegedly and thousands of homes are without fire insurance because they removed that as well

02:49:52 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 2:

yep very interesting timing yeah and in related dirty megan markle has postponed the release of her forthcoming netflix show with

02:50:00 - 02:50:35 | Speaker 1:

love, Megan, in light of the fires. Yesterday, Netflix making the announcement that they were moving the show's premiere date from January 15th to March 4th at the Duchess's request. So if you were waiting for that cooking, gardening party hosting show, it's not happening until March. And I just want to give you a big reminder that the home bakery in Rochester, where that incredible life-size cake of Amon Ross St. Brown is in the window. There is a line right now out of that place because...

02:50:35 - 02:50:36 | Speaker 4:

Huge. Look at this picture.

02:50:36 - 02:50:59 | Speaker 1:

It is insanity. This is the week that from today until Thursday, I think they actually started it a little early, but from today until Thursday, if you make any sort of purchase in-store, so this does not apply for online orders, it doesn't apply for pre-orders, but your name basically goes into a raffle for a pair of playoff tickets, It's courtesy of Amon Ra himself.

02:51:00 - 02:51:00 | Speaker 4:

That's amazing.

02:51:01 - 02:51:04 | Speaker 1:

Pretty cool. Yep. Home Bakery Rochester right there on Main.

02:51:04 - 02:51:07 | Speaker 4:

Do they have enough flour? Is there any?

02:51:07 - 02:51:13 | Speaker 1:

I mean, you just showed me the picture. The line is probably 60 people deep right now. Yeah, thank you to Mrs. Pascal for sending it to us.

02:51:13 - 02:51:16 | Speaker 3:

Amazing. We go to the Super Bowl. I'm dying my hair blue.

02:51:17 - 02:51:17 | Speaker 4:

Hold on.

02:51:17 - 02:51:34 | Speaker 3:

I love it. You should. Pubes and all. See, why you got to go there? I want to know. We going above the eyebrow. Only the hair on my head going to be blue. No, no, you got to do your eyebrows, too. No, I'm only getting the top. I wanted the same color of my rock guy. We're going blue. How about this?

02:51:34 - 02:51:43 | Speaker 4:

If we go to the Super Bowl and you go to the Super Bowl and you get tickets too, hairless from top to bottom. Let us pull it all off you.

02:51:44 - 02:51:45 | Speaker 3:

Next story.

02:51:45 - 02:51:49 | Speaker 1:

Okay, for all today's three, listen to the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app at mojointhemorning.com.

02:51:50 - 02:51:55 | Speaker 4:

Not a fan at all. At Mojo in the Morning on social media.

02:51:55 - 02:52:09 | Speaker 2:

The latest craze. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Mojo, you're cuter when you're quiet. Can you let me finish so I can tell you how goddamn hot you are? Oh, stop.

02:52:10 - 02:52:10 | Speaker 3:

Look at her.

02:52:12 - 02:53:01 | Speaker 4:

Zach, that's classic. What a line. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning Show. It's good to have you guys here with us. There have been talks right now that TikTok is going away. that the Supreme Court will side with the lawmakers that are saying that TikTok needs to sell off to an American company or shut down in the United States because they say that they believe that it gives the Chinese a chance to get all of our info. Here's a question I want to throw out there. I just want to throw this out. That all aside, if you're somebody that's nonstop on TikTok, where will you go now? So what will be your go-to? Because will this be like, all right, I guess I'll go back to Facebook.

02:53:01 - 02:53:02 | Speaker 2:

No.

02:53:02 - 02:53:05 | Speaker 4:

It's like nobody goes back to Facebook, right? No.

02:53:06 - 02:53:07 | Speaker 2:

It's going to be a hard reset. I'm going to get my life back.

02:53:08 - 02:53:09 | Speaker 4:

You know what? That is true, by the way.

02:53:09 - 02:53:11 | Speaker 2:

I got 90 friends on Facebook.

02:53:11 - 02:53:13 | Speaker 3:

12 of them are pending, but I got 90 friends.

02:53:13 - 02:53:19 | Speaker 2:

There are four platforms that people are already starting to migrate to, and I refuse to download any of them.

02:53:20 - 02:53:23 | Speaker 1:

I refuse to download TikTok. I still have never.

02:53:23 - 02:53:26 | Speaker 3:

You miss them out, bruh. I'm probably just going to be on Instagram more, to be honest.

02:53:26 - 02:53:33 | Speaker 4:

Or will you find yourself doing life events? Will you talk to humans? What are you going to do?

02:53:33 - 02:53:37 | Speaker 2:

I talk to humans more through TikTok than I do in real life.

02:53:37 - 02:53:47 | Speaker 4:

So here's the thing. I love when people say that. If TikTok is not there, how will we know if Megan really washed her hands when she's baking our cookies? We won't know.

02:53:47 - 02:53:48 | Speaker 3:

Got to take our word for it.

02:53:48 - 02:53:50 | Speaker 2:

I'm just going to stop bringing in cookies.

02:53:50 - 02:53:52 | Speaker 4:

You're going to have to do Facebook Live. You're going to have to be on Facebook Live.

02:53:52 - 02:53:56 | Speaker 2:

I won't be on Facebook Live. You can't play music. No, I will not.

02:53:56 - 02:53:58 | Speaker 4:

Well, why do you have to play music then? Can't you hum?

02:53:59 - 02:54:01 | Speaker 2:

No. You'll get a copyright strike. They'll delete your Facebook.

02:54:01 - 02:54:04 | Speaker 4:

Even if you hum? Somebody's gotten a copyright strike off of a hum.

02:54:05 - 02:54:13 | Speaker 2:

Singing, yeah. Really? Yeah. That's why I do everything on TikTok. Same thing on Instagram, too. I'm literally just going to get my life back.

02:54:13 - 02:54:18 | Speaker 3:

Bro, what is this data that TikTok is receiving that no other platform is getting?

02:54:18 - 02:54:28 | Speaker 2:

No, they're a Chinese company. Well, the parent company is a Chinese company, and they don't have copyright laws. You can't sue for copyright infringement if your music plays.

02:54:28 - 02:54:35 | Speaker 3:

Aside from the music thing, but the theory that the reason why we no longer are going to have TikTok is because of all this data that the Chinese are getting.

02:54:36 - 02:54:38 | Speaker 2:

Mark Zuckerberg is allowed to have it, and so is the Lama.

02:54:38 - 02:54:38 | Speaker 3:

That's what I'm saying.

02:54:39 - 02:54:47 | Speaker 4:

Because they think that they are, to use your word that you used earlier this morning, which, by the way, they are doing nefarious things with it.

02:54:47 - 02:54:49 | Speaker 3:

Is Timu a Chinese company?

02:54:50 - 02:54:53 | Speaker 4:

We all know that Timo's got to be, right?

02:54:53 - 02:54:56 | Speaker 3:

So are we banning that too? When are we going to ban Amazon?

02:54:56 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 4:

I mean, well, here's the thing, though.

02:55:00 - 02:55:29 | Speaker 2:

thing is that they have proven that there's chances that they are doing things with our data and there's a lot of people that are saying that between China and Russia that they're the reason why we have so many data breaches and data leaks. What's up? Drake. Drake's on the phone, everybody. Give it up for Drake. Is this Drake like Drake God's plan or Drake like Drake and Josh? Which Drake is this? God's plan. God's plan. Alright, great. What's going on?

02:55:30 - 02:55:33 | Speaker 4:

uh how's it going uh first first time long time

02:55:33 - 02:55:41 | Speaker 2:

are you now coming to us because tiktok's going to be gone you now have to find another source of

02:55:41 - 02:55:58 | Speaker 4:

entertainment mojo i pick you over tiktok any day oh that's very nice of you thank you drake uh what will you be doing but um what i if tiktok does get banned you know i'm still young but i go

02:55:58 - 02:56:11 | Speaker 1:

to facebook reels okay that's where i'm on yeah but facebook rules like are tiktoks from six weeks ago it's true yeah but if there's no tiktok everybody's going to be making like instagram and facebook reels or youtube shorts it's all the same damn thing yeah nothing's like

02:56:11 - 02:56:24 | Speaker 2:

up to date on there can i tell you don't be offended with me for saying this megan i actually think sometimes the technology of reels is more comfortable for my technology than uh than tiktok

02:56:24 - 02:56:31 | Speaker 6:

You can't scroll through the times. You can't pause. It only mutes. You can't, like, Reels actually is terrible.

02:56:31 - 02:56:57 | Speaker 2:

But TikTok, the problem, though, is the problem with TikTok, though, is when I go on to go look at a TikTok, it shows me an old TikTok first. Like, I have to refresh everything all the time. I have to close out my TikTok to redo my TikTok. It does that all the time to me. Maybe it's a setting on my phone or something. Although, I got to be honest, I did get the new iPhone. I just recently upgraded to the new iPhone, and it has been the worst of all the generations of iPhones.

02:56:57 - 02:56:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no. Mine just updated by itself last night.

02:56:59 - 02:57:03 | Speaker 2:

Really? It's been horrible. I've had a hard time keeping on Wi-Fis.

02:57:03 - 02:57:04 | Speaker 1:

China.

02:57:04 - 02:57:16 | Speaker 2:

Marcus, guess what? Megan's going to have to return my phone calls now because there's no more TikTok. She's got no more excuses. I'm going to have to return my phone calls. You will now call me back at a timely manner. TikTok ain't going nowhere, bro. What's up, Marcus?

02:57:16 - 02:57:33 | Speaker 3:

uh time to leave tiktok because you can't even type in the word clown without uh getting a violation so it's back to the instagram section it is okay all right so that wait i didn't realize that you can't put clown in there no unless only if you're talking if you're talking

02:57:33 - 02:57:39 | Speaker 2:

to a liberal you can't type the word clown you can't call somebody a clown or type the word

02:57:39 - 02:58:02 | Speaker 3:

clown you type the word clown you get you get a violation but if you type the words trump the clown you get absolutely no violation go try it uh-oh hold on a second that's i i know but why why clown though that just seems so odd to me the comments that they type they sound like clowns so if you type in the word you're a clown you literally get a violation on your thing that

02:58:02 - 02:58:13 | Speaker 6:

you have to appeal i feel like this break might be a good thing i feel like a tic tac break might be good for some people yeah i'm not going to name anybody specifically but just some people

02:58:13 - 02:58:16 | Speaker 4:

I'm Donald J. Trump, and I don't approve of this mojo in the morning message.

02:58:18 - 02:58:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Jesus. All right, Marcus. Hold on. You're broken. All right. Hold on a second. Dee, what's going on? Where are you going?

02:58:27 - 02:58:31 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to Clapper. I'm going to Clapper. Megan, go to Clapper.

02:58:31 - 02:58:32 | Speaker 2:

Clapper? What's Clapper?

02:58:33 - 02:58:33 | Speaker 5:

What is that? That's all.

02:58:33 - 02:58:34 | Speaker 2:

You need to be 18 and older.

02:58:34 - 02:58:47 | Speaker 5:

Clapper is, it's been around for a little bit, but you can go on Clapper. You can do pretty much anything you want, and I mean that. anything you want they have nighttime clapper for you know those type of things i don't want that

02:58:47 - 02:58:59 | Speaker 6:

hey i don't want that just sounds dirty to me i want a fully monitored i want rules i want community guidelines that is what i want i do not want the wild wild west of the internet

02:58:59 - 02:59:10 | Speaker 5:

no we want clapper give me some clapper you can gamble on clapper people run bingo games If people play at the casino for you, Clapper is good. Quick question.

02:59:11 - 02:59:14 | Speaker 2:

02:59:14 - 02:59:15 | Speaker 5:

You'll have to see.

02:59:15 - 02:59:15 | Speaker 2:

Huh?

02:59:15 - 02:59:21 | Speaker 5:

Well, they have a section. They have a section. Just like 304 Talks, they have another talk.

02:59:21 - 02:59:23 | Speaker 6:

You guys, this is bad. This is bad.

02:59:25 - 02:59:30 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I think there's nothing wrong. Let's take Clapper. Four out of five of you.

02:59:30 - 02:59:37 | Speaker 6:

Just check it out. No. Just check it out. I bet you will be. You sound like a drug dealer. Just taste it. Juice and a little taste will be fine. You won't get addicted.

02:59:37 - 02:59:41 | Speaker 2:

I'm trying it. I'm going to try Clapper. I'm going to get a Clapper account today.

02:59:41 - 02:59:48 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I get it. Megan, you can play. You can bake. You can play your music. You can sing. You can dance. You can even add a pole if you'd like.

02:59:49 - 02:59:51 | Speaker 2:

Who owns Clapper? Does anybody know?

02:59:52 - 02:59:52 | Speaker 5:

America.

02:59:53 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 2:

Is this something? Hey, quick question. Is this going to actually turn people towards OnlyFans? Will people go to OnlyFans?

03:00:00 - 03:00:10 | Speaker 3:

for things like this or will like well you know maybe clapper is it what's up uh amber hey how's it going this morning good when is the ruling supposed to come down from the supreme

03:00:10 - 03:00:28 | Speaker 6:

court on this one i don't know because friday the 19th is the deadline like tiktok is going away at midnight if they don't resolve this but i know friday there there weren't really strides made in terms of saving tiktok in the supreme court and they're saying that the supreme

03:00:28 - 03:00:34 | Speaker 3:

court justices are leaning towards siding with the ruling that uh congress came up with yeah

03:00:34 - 03:01:02 | Speaker 1:

go ahead amber what were you going to say um well first off clapper sounds like a std yeah second off um i've been on tiktok since it was called musically yeah and i've made a lot of meaningful connections and friendships across the world because of tiktok honestly and i hate to see it go you know if it does but i have the people that i've met through there and uh we talk pretty

03:01:02 - 03:01:07 | Speaker 3:

much every day how am i gonna get people to actually like make me feel like i'm popular

03:01:07 - 03:01:23 | Speaker 4:

if it's tiktok's not around i feel like you gotta do the tiktok trends you gotta do the dances i feel like even that and it's not about even feeling popular i genuinely stress out for the amount of small businesses that are going to be harmed by tiktok clothing did you see all the

03:01:23 - 03:01:30 | Speaker 3:

small businesses that are now telling people please go see our other social media yeah a lot of them are asking people to start following them on other things they're not migrating there yeah

03:01:30 - 03:01:36 | Speaker 4:

it doesn't happen you can ask but it does not happen hold on mojo in the morning misfit kool-aid

03:01:36 - 03:01:47 | Speaker 3:

03:02:08 - 03:02:17 | Speaker 3:

fantastic hey kool-aid lady would you ever join a platform called clapper clapper what yeah

03:02:17 - 03:02:23 | Speaker 5:

You mean that thing you clap on and clap off? Oh, the clapper, remember that?

03:02:23 - 03:02:41 | Speaker 3:

Clap off. Clap on, clap off, the clapper. No, Kool-Aid Lady, we should get, I'm going to get Bianca and KP, buy the Kool-Aid Lady account. Get Kool-Aid Lady an account already. Because, you know, now that people all know what clapper is, they're all going to go there and they're going to take your hand off.

03:02:42 - 03:02:48 | Speaker 5:

You ain't talking about that thing. Somebody say it sounds like a disease, man.

03:02:48 - 03:02:50 | Speaker 3:

That's right. Exactly.

03:02:50 - 03:02:54 | Speaker 5:

Hey, I wouldn't trust that sucker behind a mosquito's pecker, man.

03:02:54 - 03:03:22 | Speaker 3:

You know what? I wouldn't either. I wouldn't either. Listen, Kool-Aid lady, I just want you to know that I love you. I hope that you're doing well, and I hope that, and if you want, I'll give you Megan's phone number so you can call her to check on her when TikTok goes away because I'm worried about Megan. I'm putting her on, like, a watch or something. I'm worried that... Yeah, what's going on, man, with Megan? Well, if they get rid of TikTok, it's going to be a lonely time. I want her to have you.

03:03:22 - 03:03:26 | Speaker 4:

Honestly, Kool-Aid later, I'm asking why he's asking that, too.

03:03:26 - 03:03:31 | Speaker 3:

I want to know. You spend how many hours on TikTok? How many hours did you spend, Megan?

03:03:32 - 03:03:56 | Speaker 4:

Oh, see, my numbers are all skewed because it would be easy to look up like that, what is it called, screen time, whatever. But I fall asleep on TikTok every night. So it's like, it's skewed so many hours. But I watch those ASMR people. So I'll just like hop into somebody's live as they're doing. Poor Bianca. I pop in hers all the time because my live will end and I follow her and she's on live. So it'll show up like I'm watching her, but I'm sleeping.

03:03:57 - 03:03:57 | Speaker 3:

Kool-Aid lady.

03:03:58 - 03:03:58 | Speaker 5:

You're welcome.

03:03:59 - 03:04:04 | Speaker 3:

Kool-Aid lady, let me hear your ASMR. I want to see what kind of ASMR you do. Oh, my God.

03:04:04 - 03:04:05 | Speaker 5:

What's an ASMR?

03:04:06 - 03:04:09 | Speaker 3:

It's where you whisper. You whisper like things, you know.

03:04:09 - 03:04:17 | Speaker 5:

Shoot, if they get rid of TikTok, that's going to be jacked up, man. I know.

03:04:19 - 03:04:21 | Speaker 6:

She's scared in the booga booga.

03:04:21 - 03:04:22 | Speaker 4:

You have to talk really cool.

03:04:22 - 03:04:23 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, man, what's up, booga booga?

03:04:24 - 03:04:30 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, no, nailed it. Nailed it. Halloween. Hold on, I actually, I just fell asleep a little bit, sorry.

03:04:30 - 03:04:32 | Speaker 3:

It's a mosquito's pecker.

03:04:35 - 03:04:43 | Speaker 2:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Mosquito Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

03:04:43 - 03:04:44 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

03:04:45 - 03:04:45 | Speaker 2:

Live.

03:04:48 - 03:05:30 | Speaker 3:

I feel like I've got teenage boys, and one of them's been added to the list, and it's Kevin from our show. Kevin reminds me of, like, my sons. He reminds me of... Luke particularly because Shout out Lukey baby Luke is a 19 year old guy And it's always like Why can't we do and that's not fair Like stuff like this Kevin just pulled a that's not fair moment with me Where he was like Not understanding That in radio Set it up Mojo In radio You buy your own headphones Or you bring your own headphones to work Why is that? That's part of your tools of the trade.

03:05:31 - 03:05:31 | Speaker 4:

Why is that?

03:05:31 - 03:05:58 | Speaker 3:

Because that's just how it is. That's your answer? That's how it is? The radio, Kevin thinks that, hold on, let me dip the music here for a second. Cut that stuff off. Kevin thinks that the radio station, now mind you, Kevin's been in radio now for a year and a half, but you also interned back in the day at JLB, so you saw what it was like. You worked with professionals like Mr. Chase Coco and Foolish, who are legends. Did they not tell you that in radio, you carry your headphones to work like you carry your

03:05:58 - 03:06:02 | Speaker 4:

lunch you know what i mean like go back to that's just the way it is or that's how it's always been

03:06:02 - 03:06:24 | Speaker 3:

why is that the philosophy because the the radio company does not buy you had kevin wants iheart to supply headphones here kevin and kp got in this discussion about how i don't understand why this radio company doesn't buy us headphones and i looked and shannon you you you and i looked at megan actually well look at each other like okay i bought my these are i paid for this

03:06:24 - 03:06:26 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no, don't loop me in because that's not how I feel.

03:06:26 - 03:06:29 | Speaker 4:

I've got a question for you. Did you also buy that microphone you're using?

03:06:30 - 03:06:53 | Speaker 3:

No, because the microphone stays here, but the headphones go with me. Okay, so it's portable. That's why I'll have to buy it? No, because it's not portable. I buy, I want the best product to be able to make this show better. Got you. So I pay for it myself. Okay. Do you think that a doctor who is a doctor goes and just uses somebody's stethoscope?

03:06:53 - 03:06:55 | Speaker 4:

Are these the best microphones in the industry?

03:06:55 - 03:06:57 | Speaker 3:

I think they're okay. I think we could have done better.

03:06:57 - 03:07:01 | Speaker 4:

Oh, so are you going to go buy a better version of a microphone? Maybe. No, you're not.

03:07:01 - 03:07:19 | Speaker 1:

I got you stuck. See, this is kind of how I thought about it. Because I've been thinking about this since I feel like this discussion started last week. And it carried into today. And I think about how, because those headphones that you have, Kev, are from here, right? Correct. Like, we do have headphones that are just, like, laying around. But they're crap. No offense. I don't know how you wear those.

03:07:19 - 03:07:22 | Speaker 4:

No, KP said that she wasn't able to get any headphones from here.

03:07:22 - 03:07:42 | Speaker 1:

Because I think about this like doctors and nurses are supplied scrubs from the hospital, those blue scrubs that we see, green, whatever color you think they are. But a lot of them now want figs or whatever the new brand is. I don't know. It used to be figs. And so that's kind of how I think of it is like I didn't want those headphones, so I spent the money to buy these.

03:07:42 - 03:07:45 | Speaker 2:

I don't know anybody who supplied scrubs, though.

03:07:45 - 03:07:49 | Speaker 1:

Oh, really? See, my parents, my entire family worked in the medical field, and they always just got scrubs from the hospital.

03:07:49 - 03:08:13 | Speaker 4:

This is my issue. It is totally fine if you are, if you want, quote unquote, better headphones, that's perfectly fine. What I'm saying is, at a baseline, you should be provided headphones. If you don't like them, that's okay. But to show up to work at a radio station where the only two things I need are the ability to have my voice heard and to be able to hear your voice, I think those things should be provided.

03:08:13 - 03:08:24 | Speaker 2:

But then your barber and your hairstylist don't show up and expect them to have clippers and scissors. Like, you bring your own tools to the job. Have you ever gone to a job and you had to buy the uniform? Yeah.

03:08:24 - 03:08:25 | Speaker 4:

No. I don't think so.

03:08:25 - 03:08:26 | Speaker 1:

See, I have. So have I.

03:08:26 - 03:08:37 | Speaker 3:

So that's where I'm like, I get your point. I totally get your point. And Megan's analogy is true. Your barber brings his own scissors to the party. He doesn't have his scissors supplied for him.

03:08:37 - 03:08:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, because it's his business. He's an entrepreneur. He started his own business. So because he started the business.

03:08:42 - 03:08:48 | Speaker 2:

No, but I don't know any hairstylist who doesn't own the salon who still doesn't own their tools. They have to buy their own tools.

03:08:48 - 03:09:03 | Speaker 3:

Hold on a second. George wants to side with Kevin on this one. What's up, George? Yeah, I agree with Kevin. You know, you can't do your job without headphones. They should be supplying at least, you know, the minimum for you. George, this is just how it is.

03:09:03 - 03:09:11 | Speaker 4:

So if I want to bowl, I got to bring my own pins and go bowl? If that's what I want to do? That's what we say? No, no, I agree. They should be supplying headphones.

03:09:11 - 03:09:13 | Speaker 3:

Did you call it a bowl or a ball? What is it?

03:09:13 - 03:09:16 | Speaker 4:

If I bring my own bowling ball and pins, I got to do that?

03:09:16 - 03:09:23 | Speaker 1:

It is an interesting point. And ever since I've been in radio, I've just supplied my own headphones. Like, I've never really thought about it.

03:09:23 - 03:09:29 | Speaker 3:

Every single job I've ever had. I want to call Bob Pittman. I'm going to call him Bob right now. There is no way. Are you really?

03:09:29 - 03:09:29 | Speaker 1:

Do not.

03:09:29 - 03:09:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. I swear. Pull him up. I'm calling Bob Pittman.

03:09:32 - 03:09:41 | Speaker 4:

There is no way that Bob Pittman shouldn't have Bowles or some other professional. Dre Beats, they should be sponsored by IRA. We should be sponsored by them.

03:09:41 - 03:09:47 | Speaker 2:

I don't disagree with you, but why is it that some jobs you have to provide your own tools for and some you don't?

03:09:47 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 4:

No, that's the more interesting conversation since we started talking about it are no standards and we just accept whatever has been like I know chefs that bring their own knives like they bring a roll like right like a leather roll.

03:10:00 - 03:10:03 | Speaker 1:

Of their knives and their tools that they like to use to work with them.

03:10:04 - 03:10:13 | Speaker 2:

We got to demand better. We got to demand better. I'm going to. I'll be damned if I got to buy headphones to do this job. Are you kidding me? Are you like, that's what I have to do?

03:10:13 - 03:10:24 | Speaker 3:

Here's the deal, though. What you do is just negotiate a better deal and buy your own headphones. Do you want them to also buy you your mode of transportation to get her every single day?

03:10:24 - 03:10:38 | Speaker 2:

No. But if my job requires me to hear things and to say things, the same logic that I have that I didn't have to buy this microphone is the same exact logic why I shouldn't have to buy these headphones. This is an important functionality of my position. I'm calling Bob Pittman.

03:10:38 - 03:10:44 | Speaker 3:

Let's go. I'm calling Bob. He's our CEO of this company. He's a legend in broadcasting. I'm going to ask Bob Pittman.

03:10:45 - 03:10:45 | Speaker 1:

Hello?

03:10:45 - 03:10:47 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Bob Pittman. Good morning.

03:10:48 - 03:10:53 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. Oh, my God. I think I just mad at the aneurysm.

03:10:53 - 03:10:58 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Tony, are you listening to us right now? Are you listening to the station?

03:10:59 - 03:11:04 | Speaker 1:

Well, I was, but you're like background, so I wasn't listening to the intent conversation.

03:11:05 - 03:11:08 | Speaker 3:

Kevin thinks that the radio company should pay for his headphones.

03:11:09 - 03:11:10 | Speaker 1:

For everybody's headphones.

03:11:10 - 03:11:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, for his headphones, everybody's headphones. He thinks that they should provide the tools for us.

03:11:17 - 03:11:22 | Speaker 1:

Let me ask the rest of the crowd how many times the company has bought your headphones.

03:11:22 - 03:11:24 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah. How many?

03:11:24 - 03:11:29 | Speaker 2:

None. Why does that matter? That doesn't change anything. Blah, blah, blah, blah. No, no.

03:11:29 - 03:11:30 | Speaker 3:

I buy my own hands.

03:11:30 - 03:11:37 | Speaker 2:

Listen, Tony, Tony, here's my point. How many times have you purchased microphones for the rest of the crowd to do their functional jobs?

03:11:37 - 03:11:41 | Speaker 1:

Ooh, we got you. Well, see, now you're making too much sense out of this. That's what I'm saying.

03:11:41 - 03:11:59 | Speaker 2:

Look, Tony, my whole thing is in order for me to perform at the highest levels, I want to be successful in this role. The organization wants me to be successful in this role. If we don't have microphones, there are no radio. In order for me to hear my counterparts, to hear the audio, to hear whatever's being played, I need to hear. How can headphones be a part of that?

03:11:59 - 03:12:01 | Speaker 3:

I can't hear you. I'm sorry. I took my headphones out.

03:12:02 - 03:12:02 | Speaker 1:

There you go.

03:12:03 - 03:12:03 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

03:12:04 - 03:12:13 | Speaker 1:

Mojo, you remember those headphones we got when we first got into radio, like when the company would provide headphones? They were horrible. What was this? They were horrible. It was like tin cans.

03:12:13 - 03:12:13 | Speaker 3:

It was bad.

03:12:13 - 03:12:16 | Speaker 1:

It was like together and some string. I'll get you some of those.

03:12:16 - 03:12:18 | Speaker 2:

So the solution was just don't buy anything.

03:12:18 - 03:12:20 | Speaker 3:

Hold on a second. Real quick, Tony.

03:12:20 - 03:12:21 | Speaker 2:

That was our genius idea?

03:12:21 - 03:12:24 | Speaker 3:

John's on the phone. John, what do you do for a living, John?

03:12:25 - 03:12:25 | Speaker 7:

I'm a plumber.

03:12:26 - 03:12:29 | Speaker 3:

Do they provide your plumbing equipment, or what do they do?

03:12:29 - 03:12:39 | Speaker 7:

No, there's a list when I first started of all my hand tools I had to buy myself to bring in, and then all my power tools, batteries. Now, if they go bad, they'll replace them, but I start to buy it all up from myself. See, Kevin?

03:12:39 - 03:12:41 | Speaker 2:

So if they go bad, they'll replace them.

03:12:42 - 03:12:46 | Speaker 3:

How are you going to get your toilet fixed by John if he doesn't go out and buy it?

03:12:46 - 03:12:53 | Speaker 2:

Just because that's the way it is does not make it right. That is not okay for me to get hired by a job, and then I got to go pay for everything?

03:12:53 - 03:12:56 | Speaker 3:

Hold on. Cheyenne, what do you do for a living?

03:12:57 - 03:12:58 | Speaker 4:

I'm a dog groomer.

03:12:59 - 03:13:01 | Speaker 3:

And do you buy your own grooming stuff?

03:13:03 - 03:13:16 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and I mean, like, my company supplies, like, the basics, like, if some of our stuff were to fail, but I like to think of it like investing in your name and your brand, even though you may work for somebody else. Okay.

03:13:16 - 03:13:23 | Speaker 2:

I believe that, too, but she said invest in the basics. She also said the basics. I think having a microphone and headphones are the basics of radio.

03:13:23 - 03:13:32 | Speaker 3:

This isn't Blaine Fowler in the Blaine Fowler Morning Show. This is Mojo in the Morning. We get the best of the best. Carrie, are you there, Carrie?

03:13:33 - 03:13:33 | Speaker 6:

Yes.

03:13:34 - 03:13:35 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Carrie. What's going on?

03:13:36 - 03:13:41 | Speaker 6:

I just wanted to say that we, as nurses, have to bring our own stethoscopes.

03:13:41 - 03:13:42 | Speaker 3:

Oh.

03:13:42 - 03:13:43 | Speaker 6:

Do you really?

03:13:43 - 03:13:44 | Speaker 3:

Touche.

03:13:44 - 03:13:45 | Speaker 6:

Yes. I did not know that.

03:13:45 - 03:13:47 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. Are you happy with that?

03:13:48 - 03:14:05 | Speaker 6:

And buy your own shoes? Yeah, we do. Our own shoes. Not scrubs, but uniforms. But if you're in a specialty area, you have to not supply your own scrubs. But you do have to still bring your own stethoscopes. And you can't do your job without a stethoscope. That's crazy, bro.

03:14:06 - 03:14:12 | Speaker 3:

Hold on. Kristen is a teacher. Kristen, what's up with teachers?

03:14:13 - 03:14:22 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Teachers have to buy everything. yeah yeah we have to decorate our classrooms and get in trouble if it's not perfect i even buy my

03:14:22 - 03:14:39 | Speaker 2:

own paper it's disgusting you know what you know how the michigan lottery says look christian you know how the michigan lottery says a percentage of every lotto goes to the schools it should be a special fund a percentage of that where the lotto money should go to teachers so they don't have to buy their own stuff you should not have to buy things to do the function the basis of your

03:14:39 - 03:14:47 | Speaker 5:

job i agree i've never seen a dollar of that money hold on uh hind what do you do for a living hind

03:14:47 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 6:

is it hind or hand hand yes i'm a nail tech and we uh we like bring our uh basic supplies to the salon yeah but the main thing to use it in the um salon itself like

03:15:00 - 03:15:03 | Speaker 1:

their tools, their stuff, but the basics, we bring our own.

03:15:03 - 03:15:09 | Speaker 5:

So, Kevin, when you get those big old freaking nails of yours clipped behind,

03:15:09 - 03:15:15 | Speaker 1:

everything, yeah, the basics, we have to bring our own, and, like, we just buy it ourselves.

03:15:15 - 03:15:17 | Speaker 5:

Kevin's got it so bad.

03:15:17 - 03:15:28 | Speaker 6:

So when the Lions play, I guess they should bring their own football to the game too, right? That's what they need to do. When we go to the Pistons, if K doesn't bring the basketball, I guess we're going to play, right?

03:15:28 - 03:15:43 | Speaker 5:

he's got he's got enough money to play interesting hold on ken ken are you there uh yes sir ken are you siding with kevin or not siding with kevin um you know i was so i think

03:15:43 - 03:15:54 | Speaker 4:

i'm gonna side with them i was in the military and uh in basic training bring his own gun to go to war come on they they made us pay for our own uniforms yes they did our first check our first

03:15:54 - 03:16:01 | Speaker 7:

check they made us uh they took out the money that is actually asinine to me i did not know that

03:16:01 - 03:16:26 | Speaker 5:

look at how they treat you later in life too they treat you like crap with the va and stuff ken do you know who the uh we got tony say hi to tony travato by the way he's still what's up ken oh my god thank you for your service ken yes hey ken did you know that tony travato has a lot of ladies i think he looks good in a tux he should wear it all the time That's how good looking of a guy he is. He bought his own tux.

03:16:26 - 03:16:29 | Speaker 4:

He got broad shoulders, broad shoulders, do well in suits.

03:16:29 - 03:16:32 | Speaker 7:

Not a rumor, by the way, Tony. That was part of my weekend.

03:16:32 - 03:16:36 | Speaker 5:

His tux, though, by the way, was a Carhartt tux. I've never seen anybody with a Carhartt tux.

03:16:36 - 03:16:37 | Speaker 3:

Hold on.

03:16:38 - 03:16:58 | Speaker 5:

Tony, I did have Lydia put a call into Bob Pittman, who right now is working hard. He's about ready to walk into a big meeting for iHeartRadio to keep this radio station alive and breathing. the number one broadcasting company in the world. Mr. Pittman, how are you? Welcome to the show, Bob.

03:16:59 - 03:17:00 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. How are you guys?

03:17:01 - 03:17:04 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. My heart just dropped again. Victor, damn it.

03:17:04 - 03:17:14 | Speaker 2:

I just want to say, Kevin, Tom, if you could go out to Five Below and get him a pair of Spider-Man headphones. Let's do it. And if you don't like that, Kevin, you could just quit.

03:17:15 - 03:17:16 | Speaker 6:

It's better than not having anything.

03:17:18 - 03:17:23 | Speaker 2:

Coming from a guy who won't pay $5 to go to Belle Isle to take his son to Belle Isle. Not doing that either.

03:17:23 - 03:17:32 | Speaker 5:

Not doing that either. He didn't even part of my taxes. By the way, what do you pay for? If you won't pay for headphones, won't pay to go to Belle Isle, what do you pay for? Gas.

03:17:33 - 03:17:34 | Speaker 6:

And I'm about to go electric.

03:17:34 - 03:17:39 | Speaker 5:

You pay for Hennessy. I know he pays for Hennessy. I've seen him pay for a lot of Hennessy over time.

03:17:40 - 03:17:42 | Speaker 2:

03:20:00 - 03:21:16 | Speaker 6:

of those tickets, courtesy of a very amazing anonymous friend that has helped us with breaking and entering Christmas Wish for many, many years, for decades. This person said they love the fact that the Lions have brought the city together and it has made everybody, no matter where you are, what you are, or who you are, all be nice to people. Like going to a Lions game, I'm telling you even like the opposing fans get treated with respect and we treat them with respect maybe not so much on the field i mean those guys branch has had some hits this year on that field that i i god be be safe um well we're going to give you an opportunity so he donated to our breaking entering christmas wish to donate to you so that you can get a pair of tickets or do whatever you want with the money um but we hope that you go to the game saturdays when the lions playing next against the Washington Commanders, go to mojoswish.org and tell us why you need to go to that game. It's going to be really cool if we can get a great story and give somebody a great evening where for four hours, like our anonymous person said this morning, it's four hours of not worried about your problems.

03:21:16 - 03:21:20 | Speaker 1:

And four hours that become a core memory for you that you'll never forget.

03:21:21 - 03:21:39 | Speaker 6:

It's been just an unbelievable last couple of seasons. I mean, it really has been. But this season especially, like just when you thought things were not great, they always find the way to make things better. I look forward to Dan Campbell's wife, Holly, posting Dan's Starbucks runs.

03:21:39 - 03:21:40 | Speaker 3:

Victory coffee.

03:21:40 - 03:21:45 | Speaker 6:

Did he go today? Do we know? Like, what did he do? I hope he had some coffee today.

03:21:45 - 03:21:47 | Speaker 5:

Well, but it can't be a victory coffee.

03:21:47 - 03:21:51 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but maybe it's, you know, just even just go. Just go get yourself some coffee, Dan.

03:21:51 - 03:21:58 | Speaker 5:

A lot of people were worried about the return of Matt Stafford or the rematch of the Vikings, and not a lot of people talked about the Washington Commanders.

03:21:59 - 03:22:00 | Speaker 6:

No, and they're good. They're good.

03:22:00 - 03:22:02 | Speaker 5:

They got a mobile quarterback, which we struggle with.

03:22:02 - 03:22:11 | Speaker 6:

And they've got, you know, the first rookie, I believe, quarterback since I forget who it was that was able to lead them to the playoffs. I can't remember.

03:22:11 - 03:22:12 | Speaker 5:

Robert Griffin III.

03:22:12 - 03:22:13 | Speaker 6:

Was it Robert Griffin III? Yeah.

03:22:13 - 03:22:15 | Speaker 5:

He won Rookie of the Year that year, too.

03:22:15 - 03:22:16 | Speaker 6:

Did he really? Yeah.

03:22:16 - 03:22:17 | Speaker 5:

But it's still built to ass.

03:22:17 - 03:22:21 | Speaker 6:

By the way, did you see that field goal that was, I mean, that doink? It was crazy.

03:22:22 - 03:22:22 | Speaker 5:

It was.

03:22:22 - 03:22:44 | Speaker 6:

All right, so make sure you check that out. Also, tomorrow, War of the Roses happening tomorrow. Am I the A-hole? If you missed any portion of today's show, go check it out. If you missed the second date update, we don't have time to replay it, but you can go check out the podcast for that, too. Have a great day, guys.
