This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:01:07 - 00:01:52 | Speaker 3:

I would say Bishop State is like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, people in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be the thing you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or any 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four-year.

00:01:52 - 00:02:00 | Speaker 2:

00:02:48 - 00:02:53 | Speaker 8:

it's showtime

00:02:59 - 00:03:29 | Unknown:

We'll be right back.

00:03:29 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 1:

It's cold outside, but I'm still looking like a daddy Because a home never gets cold

00:03:44 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 7:

But baby, it's cold outside

00:03:53 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 2:

But baby, it's cold outside

00:03:57 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 8:

this evening has been hoping that you oh my god okay this is shannon just did a did a weather forecast and her weather forecast said and this is the warmest it's gonna get today i've never in my life ever been more disappointed than when i was told we weren't gonna have sex at night i don't know but there was there was i don't even want this shows you how cold it is i know it sounds weird to say this i have no interest for sex right now oh my god what i've none i've lost it

00:04:25 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 5:

dying i know it's cold you guys yesterday i could not get warm the entire day oh my house is warm i my car is warm i was absolutely frigid the entire day like your blanket babes and then the worst though i have an electric blanket by the way i got it for lucy for christmas i stole it i was so cold the worst i had to get gas it sucks getting gas when it's 10 degrees

00:04:55 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 8:

Why does that always happen to you? You have to get gas when it's...

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 1:

cold as balls outside.

00:05:02 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 3:

Seriously. I keep an electric link in my car. I have an outlet in my car. The one that you bought, Lucy, is my lap one. It's like a small one, so I use it while I'm driving because it takes so long for my car to heat up. I have a car starter, but I can't use it until I'm on my floor of my parking garage, so that's not useful whatsoever.

00:05:20 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 1:

Wait, it doesn't have the range?

00:05:22 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 3:

Uh-uh. No, because that's a new expensive car feature. Oh, no. I have an old cheapest hell car.

00:05:30 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 4:

Well, it's funny because I was like, I couldn't get warm, and then I had to get gas. I was like running the kids around all their stuff, and one of the things that they had yesterday was swim practice. So then I felt really bad for complaining myself when I see them like waddling out of their swim practice and their hair is still soaking wet. I'm like, okay, that sucks even more. They have to be freezing. That's pretty bad.

00:05:50 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 1:

Swimming should only be in the summertime. They should not allow swimming in any cold weather like this. So, by the way, I think Kev took today off because he doesn't want to have to walk from the parking lot to here, which would be a good day to take off because I'm going to tell you, it's the most miserable thing. It used to be I never worried about it. In our old studios, we were like five inches from the building. Here, it's a little bit of a walk. So I literally almost called an Uber to get me to the building, and it's only like, what, 500 plus feet. But I would like to ask you guys, if you're working outdoors today, to shout yourself out so I can give you a quick little hello. So, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. And then ask you, is there anything worse than what Shannon just gave as an example? Because I think she's right. Having to fill up your gas tank on a cold day like today. Oh, it's horrible. I mean, it is absolutely horrible that you would have to fill up your gas tank on a day like today.

00:06:51 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 4:

And you know what I did? And I know you are not supposed to do this. I got my butt right back in that car when I started that gas pump.

00:06:57 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. Yeah, yes. They say, somebody said that you could blow up the whole place. I'm like going, well, then at least it would be warm.

00:07:04 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 4:

Right. You know what I mean? All you have to do is touch the, where you pay before, like disengage your whatever.

00:07:11 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 1:

I tried to see Shannon if my Apple Pay would work from a distance. Like I'm trying to do it. So dang cool. I had a Speedway employee. I'll never forget it. I don't even shop at the Speedway anymore. It's the one in commerce. It was a Speedway employee that got over the loudspeaker system and said, we shut the tank off right now. You've got to get out of your car and actually pump it yourself.

00:07:32 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I'd move right to another gas station.

00:07:33 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 1:

I was like, I'm going to mobile across the street.

00:07:35 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's exactly what I do.

00:07:36 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 1:

There ain't no chance I'm doing that.

00:07:39 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 3:

If we're blown up, it's in this studio anyways.

00:07:41 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm not doing it.

00:07:42 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 3:

With the static electricity in here.

00:07:44 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 1:

It's brutal. Well, that's true. This is one place.

00:07:46 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 3:

You're as cold as ice.

00:07:48 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 4:

You're willing to sacrifice our love

00:07:53 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 1:

There you go. What's going on? What's worse than filling up your gas tank on a day like today, Chelsea?

00:08:00 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 2:

Having to do the walk into work. It's a half a mile at the hospital in Muskegon.

00:08:06 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my goodness. I'm sorry for complaining about getting gas.

00:08:10 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 1:

What hospital? Which hospital are you at?

00:08:14 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 2:

Trinity Health in Muskegon.

00:08:15 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 1:

Can I say this to you? You're a nurse. no no not a nurse attack or something like that all right so can i tell you so i do a lot with michigan medicine i love my friends at michigan medicine they save my life but i i have to tell you the parking situation for hospital employees is the worst you guys make it horrible for these guys the parking lots are so far from the the hospital why don't they have a shuttle for you Or underground stuff or something.

00:08:46 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 2:

Rumor had it when we closed down Hackley that there was supposed to be a shuttle, but that never happened. So we just do the walk.

00:08:54 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 1:

Come on, Trinity Health. Do better. We love you. Thanks for what you do. We love you so much.

00:08:59 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

00:09:00 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 1:

00:12:05 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 1:

this long but it took me 40 minutes to fill up my tires the other day because i could not figure

00:12:10 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 3:

00:13:17 - 00:13:22 | Speaker 8:

00:13:33 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 5:

uh i work in construction putting in the underground water mains oh my god and how many water mains break during this kind of weather uh i mean it varies it all just depends on how long they've been down there and if there's any issues with the vows yeah it seems like one on

00:13:53 - 00:13:57 | Speaker 8:

my street yesterday the whole street was flooded and we had no water yeah we just finished putting

00:13:57 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 5:

And then the big 54-inch in Novi that goes from 8-mile all the way to 14-mile.

00:14:03 - 00:14:15 | Speaker 3:

You got a big 54-inch. Wow. Love it. That's amazing. By the way, you ever seen where the street collapses because the water main thing broke down low? You ever see that at all? Yeah. And all of a sudden, you know, people are like, where the hell is the road?

00:14:16 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 8:

That's what happened. There was a huge, a hole like the size of this room. Crazy. On my street. Yeah. It's nuts. Yeah.

00:14:22 - 00:14:35 | Speaker 3:

Last but not least, Olivia's working outside some time today. Because what do you do for a living, Olivia? I work on an ambulance. Oh, geez. So can you ask the patient to come to you?

00:14:37 - 00:14:42 | Speaker 2:

If they're capable of walking, we do. But it's not always the case if we're called.

00:14:43 - 00:14:47 | Speaker 1:

Do you ever see somebody in trouble in a puddle and you're like, ugh, I guess I'll help?

00:14:48 - 00:15:06 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean, sometimes if they're in the snow, you have to kneel in the snow. if they're in the rain you have to be in the rain so you're too kind man well keep that ambulance warm okay oh we are we got the heat on all right thanks guys we appreciate you hey to your partner

00:15:06 - 00:15:15 | Speaker 3:

All right, we got some tickets to give away, some concert tickets. If you know the year, it was the year that Khloe Kardashian pulled a Khloe and asked a deaf woman for directions.

00:16:35 - 00:16:45 | Speaker 1:

Hi, do you know if there's a coffee shop around here? You don't know? Oh, you're deaf. Okay, thank you. Love you.

00:16:45 - 00:16:49 | Speaker 2:

Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn started in the internship. Notmatch.com.

00:16:50 - 00:16:52 | Speaker 3:

No, that's frowned upon also, so we'll say no to love.

00:16:52 - 00:17:27 | Speaker 2:

We'll say no to love, yes. Ariana Grande. And Max Miller, The Way. What year was this? We'll set you up with the prize. Let's go to Faith. Faith, what year was that? 2013. Absolutely. 00:17:28 - 00:17:30 | Speaker 1:

I am. I'm on my way to work.

00:17:30 - 00:17:32 | Speaker 2:

Oh, boy. What do you got the temperature set at?

00:17:34 - 00:17:36 | Speaker 1:

Right now it says it's 17 degrees outside.

00:17:37 - 00:17:40 | Speaker 2:

No, what about your in-car temperature? Oh, on high.

00:17:41 - 00:17:42 | Speaker 1:

Whatever the highest is that it goes in the car.

00:17:43 - 00:17:45 | Speaker 5:

Mine's 90. It's on 90.

00:17:45 - 00:17:47 | Speaker 2:

Is that what it is? Yes. So where does it stop at?

00:17:47 - 00:17:50 | Speaker 5:

Mine goes 89, and then it just says high, and I had it on high.

00:17:50 - 00:17:54 | Speaker 4:

Mine's just really red It's like blue to red and mine's really red

00:17:54 - 00:18:14 | Speaker 2:

Mine doesn't heat up as much As my butt warmers are the thing that I think I keep The hottest and then when it Crank everything when it stops like you know I'll have it at level three And then it will go down I guess I'm like no no no no How dare you think that my butt is not Maybe it's my butt's too big for it I don't know Yes go ahead

00:18:14 - 00:18:24 | Speaker 4:

I used to think steering wheel warmers were so dumb Until Steve Gabara let me borrow I think it was a Mach-E that had a steering wheel warmer on it in the wintertime. I was like, I get it. I get it.

00:18:24 - 00:18:57 | Speaker 2:

There is just something about it. I mean, literally. All right. Well, hang on one second, and we'll get you set up with your tickets right now. Win tickets to go see Post Malone and Jelly Roll. Let's do... It says that Ford Field will do Ford. Text Ford to 95500. Ford, F-O-R-D, to 95500 for a shot to win. Standard text and data rates to apply. Post Malone, Jelly Roll in May, Kendrick, SZA in June, both at Ford Field. And we're going to be giving tickets to Kendrick and SZA later this morning.

00:18:58 - 00:19:00 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:19:01 - 00:19:17 | Speaker 2:

Might I say, a trip to Florida would be a great opportunity for you to get out of this. And Lions tickets. Well, let me talk about, you do your Lions thing. Let's talk about the Lions. Let's do that. And then an idea has spurred from you this dirty story. Go ahead.

00:19:17 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, the home bakery in Rochester, Michigan, it's a life-size cake, which is incredible if you haven't seen it, of Amon Ross St. Brown, has gone viral online, on national news. And it was something that he had to see for himself live in person yesterday. And so Wes works in Rochester. He was sending me pictures and videos. You should have seen they had like, it was like the line to get into Disney World. OK, there were so many people waiting in line yesterday to purchase an item from the home bakery and get in that raffle for a pair of playoff tickets. So can you imagine their surprise when St. Brown himself shows up, starts taking selfies, grabs a microphone to talk to the crowd and then.

00:20:00 - 00:20:04 | Speaker 3:

walks in to check out the cake of his headstand touchdown celebration.

00:20:06 - 00:20:17 | Speaker 5:

We made it. We're here. Damn.

00:20:19 - 00:20:33 | Speaker 3:

Damn. Yeah, it's pretty cool. That's awesome. That's pretty cool. So today through Thursday, by the way, the home baker is still doing that enter to win raffle where you just buy one of their baked goods and you're automatically entered. So Lydia's best friends, our good

00:20:33 - 00:20:57 | Speaker 4:

friends and great advertisers over at House of Hummus gave us a nice gift card that's valued at how much money, Lydia? $1,500. $1,500. So the listeners could purchase tickets to go to the game on Saturday. What do you guys think of doing an Amaran St. Brown headstand contest?

00:20:57 - 00:21:01 | Speaker 3:

I love this So longest To stay in the headstand

00:21:01 - 00:21:04 | Speaker 4:

Who can Yeah Who can do the headstand The longest

00:21:04 - 00:21:08 | Speaker 2:

Headstand or handstand He did a headstand Right

00:21:08 - 00:21:11 | Speaker 4:

Headstand to me Seems like it's impossible Is it near impossible

00:21:11 - 00:21:12 | Speaker 2:

It's way harder

00:21:12 - 00:21:16 | Speaker 4:

Handstand seems like impossible I will say this My head's probably Stronger than my hands

00:21:16 - 00:21:22 | Speaker 3:

So I can do a headstand But I can't Hold a handstand anymore Or I used to be able to

00:21:22 - 00:21:44 | Speaker 4:

So maybe Maybe we do this Let's figure this out And then let's announce it This morning like eight o'clock this morning okay and then we'll we'll do i think it has to look like his so i think it's got to be a headstand yeah but i yeah because i think it will look that good like i love that uh also the the guy and dad the dad and son that did the snowman oh my god that was

00:21:44 - 00:23:22 | Speaker 3:

amazing yeah that was pretty cool all right a 55 year old texas man has been charged with stalking wnba star caitlin clark after she told police she's been receiving messages messages excuse me that left her feeling terrorized. Michael Lewis is this guy's name. He was arrested on Sunday after police traced him to a hotel in Indianapolis. Court documents say he told officers that he was in an imaginary relationship with Caitlin and he described it as a fantasy type thing that's a joke and nothing threatening at all, okay? So prosecutors say Caitlin was worried enough that she changed her public appearances and patterns of movement because of this guy. I mean, that's so scary. The messages began in the middle of December. Court docs described some of the messages and posts on X as sexual and violent. One of them said, been driving around your house three times a day, but don't call the law just yet. Caitlin said, obviously, she never responded to any of the messages. He is facing a felony charge that carries a sentence of up to six years in prison. It's kind of something that we called a couple of months ago. jessica simpson and her husband eric johnson have broken up after a decade of marriage i know we kind of saw this coming they both had stopped hanging out they weren't wearing their wedding rings since like september but she did post something yesterday and she said eric and i have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage our children come first and we are focusing on what is best for them they share three kids maybe the cutest names Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie.

00:23:22 - 00:23:26 | Speaker 4:

Maybe she will get back together with Nick Lachey. Oh, God, I doubt that.

00:23:26 - 00:23:27 | Speaker 2:

I hope not. No?

00:23:27 - 00:23:34 | Speaker 3:

What's up, everybody? It's Jessica Simpson, and of course, I'm, you know, hanging out with Mojo on the radio.

00:23:34 - 00:23:37 | Speaker 2:

I don't think there's anybody worse on the planet than him.

00:23:37 - 00:23:38 | Speaker 4:

You hate him so much.

00:23:38 - 00:23:39 | Speaker 2:

So much?

00:23:39 - 00:23:40 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. It's all because of weed.

00:23:41 - 00:23:47 | Speaker 2:

All because of weed in Ohio. In case you're wondering why it took so long for Ohio to get on board, blame Nick Lachey.

00:23:47 - 00:23:55 | Speaker 3:

And lastly, Travis Kelsey talking about his girlfriend making some new music right now. Swifties, what's the news?

00:23:56 - 00:23:57 | Speaker 5:

Have you heard any? Have you heard any?

00:23:58 - 00:24:06 | Speaker 6:

Are you a testier? You know, I can't say any of that. You know, I can't say any of that. I don't know. I hear music everywhere.

00:24:08 - 00:24:26 | Speaker 5:

Okay, let's just say you're hanging out. Say you're hanging out. Have a little dinner. No, have a little dinner. All of a sudden, the creative juice sparks in the absolute beast that you're sitting with, who is going to go down as maybe the most famous icon in the history of music. And she starts thinking something, and you go, ooh, I like that. Are you a motivator at every single time?

00:24:27 - 00:24:34 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah, come on now. You know it. You know it. I'll never chime in, but you already know it's full. I'm here to support it.

00:25:00 - 00:27:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man. Don't feel good about this one today. I don't know, Eric. It's so cold outside. Could this be the day that Eric goes down? He's been winning like crazy. But will today be the day that we see the end of Eric? I only say that, Eric, just to draw a little bit more attention to this thing. Because you've been boring. I know. Thanks for making my heart beat. I'm telling you, you've been boring. You just keep winning and winning. Going for eight today? I'm trying to get to that studio, man. I know. You guys. I know. Here's your challenger this morning. Does she have the goods? She's from Ann Arbor. She is a special ed para at a school in Ann Arbor. Is that right, Amy? Or with, where are you at? Well, Ipsy. In Ipsy? Would you like to say hi to any of the kids there? What school is that? South Point Charter. Hello. Hi, guys. How are you? This is Miss Amy on the phone. Eric, say hi to Amy. What up, Amy? Bye. I'm going to lock you up in a soundproof area, Eric. I'm going to see what happens. He's very good. You know that, Amy. You've been listening. So let's see how you do this morning against him. Five questions. Whoever gets the most right wins, Ty always goes to the champion. Here's the first question. Amaran St. Brown made an appearance at the Home Bakery in Rochester, Michigan, yesterday to see his famous life-size cake in person for the very first time. What color is Amara's hair at this moment? Three seconds. Oh, I don't know. Blue? Question number two. Lindsay Lohan has started a trend of undetectable plastic surgery, and thousands of women are wanting to do the same thing. What's the name of the classic Disney movie where Lindsay played herself? Times two. Parent trap. Question number three. The American Idol country singer, this American Idol country singer, has been tapped to perform at the inauguration for Donald Trump. Who is she? Three seconds. One. Two. I don't know. Pass. And question number four. Starbucks. I said no. Starbucks has made an announcement. They made an announcement yesterday that if you want to hang out in their stores or use their restroom, you are required to buy something. What's the largest drink size at Starbucks called? A venti. And question number five, Patrick Mahomes' wife gave birth to a baby girl yesterday. What's his wife's name? Brittany. Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area here. All right, Amy, right in the middle, you got three out of five. Three out of five, a little better than yesterday. A lot better than yesterday. All right. You ready, Eric? Let's do it.

00:28:00 - 00:30:11 | Speaker 1:

Question number one. Amaran's St. Brown made an appearance at the Home Bakery in Rochester, Michigan yesterday to see his famous life-size cake in person for the first time. What color is Amaran's hair right now? Honolulu blue, baby. Yeah. One to one. Question number two. You got it right. No, you said it. You got it right. You said blue. Question number two, Lindsay Lohan has started a trend of undetectable plastic surgery, and thousands of women are wanting to do the same thing. What's the name of the classic Disney movie where Lindsay played herself times two? Three seconds. Parent Trap. Yes, Parent Trap. Two to two. What is undetectable plastic surgery? It's just not super obvious, but the glow up is real, and she looks fabulous. Shannon and I both want it. Undetectable means nobody notices. It's not like so, so noticeable. It doesn't look fake. It just looks good. Look, Cher had a lot of work done. You don't know when and what she had done. Undetectable. Okay. All right, you got to get at least one more right to win with a tie, two more right to win, clean, all of these right, and you'll be perfect again. Question number three. This American Idol country singer has been tapped to perform at the inauguration of Donald Trump. Who is she? Carrie Underwood. Carrie Underwood is right. Three to two. I think Amy's got a loud blinker. Oh, sorry. No, that's okay. Keep your blinker on. Keep your blinker on. Left or right? Off of that click? It was actually, I pulled over. Oh, so you went to the right. Whoa. Question number four. Starbucks made an announcement yesterday that if you hang out in their stores or use the restroom, you are required to buy something. What's the largest drink size at Starbucks called? Oh my God, I called. a little large. Oh, let's go with venti. Is this the only one I know? No, both of you guys said that. Trenta, the Trenta, which is their big cold drink. That's what it's called.

00:30:11 - 00:30:12 | Speaker 2:

We love those cold breads too.

00:30:12 - 00:30:41 | Speaker 1:

Kind of a trick question, but it's true. And question number five. How's that trick? Well, trick because everybody thinks the venti because they buy hot drinks probably. Oh. But you're right. There is a larger drink there. And you have to buy that in order to go pee. And you will go pee. At Starbucks. In question number five, Patrick Mahomes' wife gave birth to a baby girl yesterday. What's his wife's name? Oh, Brittany.

00:30:41 - 00:30:44 | Speaker 2:

Brittany. Yeah, four to three, final score. Boring.

00:30:46 - 00:33:45 | Speaker 1:

Boring. Somebody's got to take down Eric. Come on. Let's go, baby. I'm challenging you. Somebody get a five out of five and take this guy down. You would have beat them today if you would have done that, Amy. So there is a chance. I'm telling you, if you are as bored as I am, I want you to call tomorrow and play with us. Eric, nice job. You got your eighth win. Amy, we got a prize for you. We're going to set you up with it. We're going to set you up with four tickets to go to the Detroit Auto Show. It's happening through January the 20th at Huntington Place. Check out the Mojo in the Morning Show. They'll be out there after the show. That's us. They'll be out there. We've got Lydia, KP, Zach here today. War of the Roses coming up this morning. He thinks his boyfriend is cheating on him. He found him on Grindr, but then also I guess he's been snapping a lot, and he's wondering who he's been snapping with. It seems really secretive with his phone. And then this was something interesting. He found, can I say it? I guess I could say it because they're going to say it in the War of the Roses. He found in his bag, he found lube. But why would he have that there when they have it at home? So that is something that we're going to find out this morning at 740. So listen this morning to the War of the Roses, 740 here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. And you can always watch our War of the Roses on TikTok. Follow us, channel 955 on TikTok. Our Detroit station site has all the War of the Roses, but also make sure you follow Mojo in the Morning on TikTok. And, of course, every radio station that we're on, including KISS and SNX. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning. I'm here with a confession. I have to say this. I know I didn't do so well,

00:33:45 - 00:33:52 | Speaker 1:

and this is a very shameful moment for me to have to confess this, but I have already failed at dry January.

00:33:53 - 00:33:55 | Speaker 2:

I didn't even know you were doing dry January.

00:33:55 - 00:33:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. On our Instagram, I posted that I'm doing dry January.

00:34:00 - 00:34:06 | Speaker 2:

The last Instagram I saw of you, anything related to alcohol, was you falling over on the beach. Yeah. Wasted. Was that the one?

00:34:06 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 1:

That was it, yeah. I said dry January for me. I'm dry. That was right before the holiday. No, no, I was being serious. I was trying it. I did it, but I failed. I failed, actually, this weekend at it, which makes me feel good because Friday is actually a day. What is Friday's Day called again, Lydia? Oh, I put it on your sheet. Quitter's Day. Quitter's Day. It's Quitter's Day. It was Quitter's Day on Friday, which Friday was the day that the average person quits their New Year's resolution. Which, what was the date on Friday? Friday was the... The 9th? Yeah. 10th. 10th. Yeah. The 10th, January 10th is Quitter's Day. That's what it's called on the calendar. It's the day that everybody quits 10 days into their New Year's resolution And I would like you to shout yourself out And tell us how you have already failed Your New Year's resolution Because I would get quite on

00:35:00 - 00:35:12 | Speaker 2:

mess with you i felt like such a failure for about five seconds and then i just kept on drinking and then beyond to be quite honest with you i kept on drinking and then the next day i felt like so bad

00:35:12 - 00:35:18 | Speaker 1:

like i had the whole remorse you know that doesn't mean that it's you have to stop with the resolution

00:35:18 - 00:35:36 | Speaker 2:

you just had a little hiccup and you keep going i don't know i don't know if i want you drank since then no i haven't okay but i haven't because it hasn't been a weekend yet but i actually enjoyed It was actually fun. This is an interesting one. At gyms across the country, regulars or gym rats are holding their breath until the end of the January rush.

00:35:37 - 00:35:39 | Speaker 4:

Oh, March. That's when people finally quit.

00:35:39 - 00:36:22 | Speaker 2:

During the month of January, one woman says that she's lucky if she can even find parking and all the classes are booked. She says that newcomers are annoying because they don't wipe off their sweat off the machines. They don't know the etiquette of when you're next up. They also have no clue, like, where the emergency stop button is, so they end up getting hurt. It's kind of funny that this is the case. But at gyms, many of the gyms in the area, according to one lady, this is actually one person from Canton. She says, it's disgusting to see how many people think that they're actually going to continue on with this. Says, and by the way, this is Patricia who works out, or Patty, who works out at the Planet Fitness.

00:36:22 - 00:36:49 | Speaker 1:

I was going to say, okay, so I work out at the same Planet Fitness and last week, normally I go like when we're done with work every once in a while, I'll go in the evening. And last week was one of the times I went in the evening. And this time of year, I call it club planet. When I roll up at 530 and the parking lots just bump in with everybody going on their way home from work. And it is, it's packed, which is great. Yeah. But it's just very different from how it normally is where it's like comfortable.

00:36:49 - 00:37:11 | Speaker 4:

But here's why I hate it. Here's the only reason. is because all the people who started going got all new workout gear for Christmas and they all look super cute and put together and they are looking hot and they're like, I'm ready to show up to the gym. And I like the June crew where we all show up in something that probably has holes in it or a stain and we've been wearing the same gym t-shirt for four visits in a row. Like those are my people.

00:37:11 - 00:37:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I would also like you to call and it doesn't have to be now, but who went the shortest time on the resolution and what was the resolution and because i this is not even so much i don't make resolutions normally like dry january is just i'm just doing it as a month yeah um but i and lydia knows this lent i have been the worst the worst with lent i will have my this lent i'm not going to swear and then five seconds later i'm like ah you know actually i don't do resolutions either but i did

00:37:47 - 00:38:01 | Speaker 1:

say i was like i am not i am no longer gonna snooze on my alarm i hate when i snooze on my alarm because then i'm so rushed with everything i do in the morning before i come here today snooze twice on my alarm for the first time this year what's up katie how you doing

00:38:01 - 00:38:08 | Speaker 3:

good morning morning what's going on damp january is that where it's at mojo take the pressure off

00:38:08 - 00:38:15 | Speaker 2:

wait you've never heard of this so funny no i've never heard that one

00:38:15 - 00:38:22 | Speaker 3:

Damn January, you give yourself a little bit of grace. It's like, how are you actually going to stick through an extreme change? I am stealing that.

00:38:23 - 00:38:32 | Speaker 2:

That's so good. So maybe my damn January is, I'll give myself one day a week in my day a week, usually like on the weekends or something like that, which is what I did on Saturday.

00:38:32 - 00:38:44 | Speaker 3:

We all know Monday, we all know that Monday's a no, unless you have a Monday like I did yesterday. And then the rest of the week is just like, maybe, maybe not. It's a little bit less, a lot less than it is over the holidays.

00:38:45 - 00:38:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Are you a resolution person? Do you do resolutions?

00:38:49 - 00:39:01 | Speaker 3:

Kind of because I've, I've been known to fail them so much. So that's why it's like, I don't do the extreme resolutions. I do attainable resolutions so that I actually do it.

00:39:01 - 00:39:04 | Speaker 2:

Okay. What is considered an attainable resolution for you?

00:39:05 - 00:39:22 | Speaker 3:

Okay. So let's say we're going to work out. We're not going to annoy all the gym rats. We're not going to like be like, I'm working out seven days a week because it's my new year's resolution. No, if I was working out one day a week before, well, I'm going to up it to three days a week. Okay, that's good. That's attainable. So, you know, it's an attainable goal, even though I know I'm only going to do two.

00:39:22 - 00:39:23 | Speaker 2:

I like that.

00:39:23 - 00:39:24 | Speaker 4:

I love you.

00:39:24 - 00:39:25 | Speaker 2:

I like it.

00:39:25 - 00:39:26 | Speaker 3:

Damn January.

00:39:26 - 00:39:26 | Speaker 1:

I love you, Ben.

00:39:26 - 00:39:30 | Speaker 2:

I need Katie as a personal friend of mine.

00:39:30 - 00:39:30 | Speaker 1:

I know.

00:39:31 - 00:39:45 | Speaker 2:

Ashley, only 25% of Americans who take part in dry Januaries successfully complete the challenge of no alcohol for 31 straight days. That's amazing. So that means that three out of every four are failing at it. What's going on, Ashley?

00:39:46 - 00:39:48 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. How are you guys?

00:39:48 - 00:39:49 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's happening?

00:39:50 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 3:

I am so bummed that I just dropped my daughter at the bus stop because she would tell you this story so much better. But New Year's Day, my husband says to all of us before.

00:40:00 - 00:40:27 | Speaker 6:

we leave for my daughter's soccer game you know my new year's resolution is i'm not going to road rage when you guys drive i don't want you to have my habits i'm done doing this we get in the car we go to her game she wins we come home someone cuts him off and he starts honking his horn and swearing my daughter's going dad it hasn't even been 24 hours that's awesome uh that is great

00:40:27 - 00:40:29 | Speaker 2:

What is his name? Shout him out right now.

00:40:30 - 00:40:32 | Speaker 5:

Good luck with the road rage, Keith.

00:40:35 - 00:40:37 | Speaker 2:

Madison, what's going on? How you doing?

00:40:39 - 00:40:47 | Speaker 5:

Hi. My New Year's resolution is still going strong. I quit pre-made and drive-thru coffees. Ooh.

00:40:48 - 00:40:49 | Speaker 2:

What? Explain that. Yeah.

00:40:49 - 00:41:00 | Speaker 5:

I always get, like, a big drink with, like, extra caramel and then add vanilla and then whipped cream and do the toppings on top so i just didn't they don't want the extra sugar anymore

00:41:00 - 00:41:06 | Speaker 3:

oh i just did the same thing it's so hard what so what do you have in the morning then in place of

00:41:06 - 00:41:12 | Speaker 5:

that so i'm letting myself have i don't know if you've called or heard of um mushroom coffee

00:41:12 - 00:41:18 | Speaker 2:

oh yeah mushroom coffee that's really good for you like shrooms yeah well not that kind of

00:41:18 - 00:41:23 | Speaker 3:

Mushrooms, but it's mushroom. It's like blended different types of mushrooms. Oh, yeah. Micronome.

00:41:24 - 00:41:25 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

00:41:25 - 00:41:44 | Speaker 2:

All right. I like that. A little coffee for the head, so to speak. On Channel 955. That's what I would do if I was a DJ. If I was a DJ, I would have said, all right, well, here you go. Here's your song, Coffee for Your Head. I went to Celsius's. Celsius's are worse, Megan.

00:41:44 - 00:41:44 | Speaker 4:

Why?

00:41:45 - 00:41:53 | Speaker 2:

Because, first off, I looked at, I went and Googled Celsius versus Red Bull, and there was not as much of a difference.

00:41:53 - 00:41:59 | Speaker 4:

One of them is 160 calories and one is 10, so there's something that's different. I'm guessing it's the amount of sugar.

00:41:59 - 00:42:03 | Speaker 2:

It's all fake stuff. You might as well have the sugar. The real sugar is better for you than fake sugar.

00:42:04 - 00:42:42 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. This is, oh, my God. Can I tell you, every time you do a New Year's resolution and somebody goes, that's not what you should be doing. That makes me want to rage more than anything in the entire world. It's the same as, how did you lose the weight, Megan? No matter what I say, you're going to tell me I did it the wrong way. No matter what. If I say what's in the gym, you were probably working out too much and not eating enough. I tell you what I was eating. That doesn't seem like it was enough protein. There's just no winning with people. Not me actively trying to take out sugar in my life and people being like, you should have the sugar. It's better than chemicals. Everything is going to kill us. Enjoy life a little bit.

00:42:43 - 00:42:46 | Speaker 3:

But Celsius's are so bad for you. Yeah, they're really bad for you. Seriously.

00:42:46 - 00:42:47 | Speaker 2:

So many chemicals. Kimberly.

00:42:47 - 00:42:48 | Speaker 3:

You're rotting your insides.

00:42:48 - 00:42:49 | Speaker 4:

There's no winning.

00:42:49 - 00:42:50 | Speaker 2:

Kimberly, what's going on?

00:42:51 - 00:42:52 | Speaker 4:

Good morning.

00:42:52 - 00:42:55 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. You got to follow that, by the way, Kimberly.

00:42:55 - 00:43:12 | Speaker 1:

It's a morning, Kim. So the key to not bringing a resolution is to have a fun resolution. Ooh. Okay. Mine is I'm getting a monthly massage, and I'm going to start baking at least one recipe from scratch every month. I love that.

00:43:12 - 00:43:16 | Speaker 3:

Those are good ones, really. And massages, by the way, I mean, self-care.

00:43:16 - 00:43:17 | Speaker 2:

Seriously.

00:43:17 - 00:43:18 | Speaker 3:

Is that the right kind of self-care?

00:43:19 - 00:43:24 | Speaker 2:

You can't call that a resolution, though. Isn't a resolution something where you're supposed to make it hard on yourself or no?

00:43:24 - 00:43:28 | Speaker 3:

No, it's just to better your life. And those two things, I would say, better her life.

00:43:29 - 00:43:43 | Speaker 2:

All right, I'm doing that. I'm going to eat chocolate. I'm going to treat myself. That's what I'm going to do. In honor of Kimberly Herr. Thank you, Kimberly. Love you, guys. Love you, too. Thank you. All right. Cheater, cheater, alligator eater.

00:43:45 - 00:43:49 | Speaker 5:

Another world-famous War of the Roses happens at 740 on Mojo in the Morning.

00:43:51 - 00:44:34 | Speaker 2:

All right. It is Mojo in the Morning show. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE. Text is 95500. If you do call us, please do us a favor. Tell us if you're a first-time long time. I know Kev's out this morning, but we'll shout you out. Um, but also if you text us, know that we will call you, uh, Lydia, our producer will call you if you have a really good comment that you text in, cause we'll want you to come on the air and talk to us. Okay. So this is going to require crowd participation. Okay. And that includes everybody here is in the studio, but also all of you that are listening to us, all seven of you guys that are listening to us, Megan, you want to title this, we listen and we don't judge.

00:44:34 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 4:

Which is funny, because it's something that you guys didn't do 16 seconds ago. Are you guys, well, I know, Shannon, you're not on TikTok, which truly breaks my heart. But one of my favorite trends on TikTok with the app closing, it's been a lot of like, here's everything this app has brought to us. Like, very mindful, very demure, or just like random, like funny bits of viralness that have gone off.

00:45:00 - 00:45:27 | Speaker 3:

society and one of them is the we listen and we don't judge challenge and i'm kind of shocked that we've never done it on this show but it's a trend where you sit down with your loved ones and you make huge confessions but you have before you make it the entire room has to go we listen and we don't judge and then you make a confession and nobody is allowed to respond okay okay so you just like you can't ask questions you can't yell there's no punishment because there's no judgment We're just listening. Okay.

00:45:28 - 00:45:33 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Give us an example. Yeah, you need to do it. Give us an example. You do it, but then we have to promise that we're not going to judge.

00:45:33 - 00:45:35 | Speaker 3:

But you have to say it. Okay.

00:45:36 - 00:45:38 | Speaker 4:

We listen and we don't judge.

00:45:39 - 00:46:05 | Speaker 3:

Every time I can't get a reservation at a place that I want to get a reservation at, instead of using my normal email, I use my work email, and then immediately I'll get the response that I am looking for. And it's kind of a don't you know who I am without being don't you know who I am. but i'm only using it for restaurant reservation so i feel like i'm okay here oh are we supposed to clap or how are we supposed to respond we listen and we don't judge really

00:46:05 - 00:46:15 | Speaker 4:

that's it hey congratulations somebody famous now hates you uh wait wait real quick what if what if we want to judge in a good way can we judge positively that's what i'm saying yeah

00:46:15 - 00:46:25 | Speaker 3:

like do you clap or how do you end it oh just a little golf clap okay all right some people might say something wild and now we've established a golf clap okay okay all right all right

00:46:25 - 00:46:29 | Speaker 4:

So we've got to come up with one of a we listen and we don't judge. Go ahead.

00:46:29 - 00:46:33 | Speaker 3:

Ready? I thought about this yesterday. All right. We listen and we don't judge. Mo, just say it too.

00:46:33 - 00:46:41 | Speaker 4:

We listen and we don't. This is very hard for me. Y'all are killing it. We listen and we don't. We're together at the same time. Ready? We listen and we don't judge.

00:46:41 - 00:47:16 | Speaker 2:

Okay. So lately my children, Lucy and Smith, have been very rambunctious in the evenings. They are all wound up and in the best moods, and I love it so much, but mom is tired. So I have been giving them, along with their probiotic, around 8 p.m., a sleepy gummy, a.k.a. melatonin. And let me tell you, bedtime has been so easy. I do feel like a rotten mother because I don't know if you're supposed to do that. But they go by 8.45. They are right in their beds, and bedtime is so easy. I love it.

00:47:16 - 00:47:19 | Speaker 4:

By the way, CPS didn't say we listened.

00:47:19 - 00:47:22 | Speaker 2:

They are very safe. They are children's melatonin doses.

00:47:22 - 00:47:23 | Speaker 4:

They're doing it.

00:47:23 - 00:47:24 | Speaker 2:

Do you want another one?

00:47:24 - 00:47:25 | Speaker 4:

All right, can I do one?

00:47:25 - 00:47:25 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:47:26 - 00:47:27 | Speaker 4:

Can I do one? All right, ready?

00:47:27 - 00:47:27 | Speaker 2:

Well, I didn't get a clap.

00:47:28 - 00:47:33 | Speaker 4:

Oh, go ahead. Well, I don't know if I agree with it, but go ahead. Go ahead. I'm not judging. Go ahead.

00:47:35 - 00:47:38 | Speaker 3:

Oh, we listen and we don't judge.

00:47:38 - 00:47:38 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:47:40 - 00:47:50 | Speaker 4:

I just robbed a bank yesterday, the Chase Bank on Woodward Avenue, and I've got so much money in here, and I'm not giving you guys any of it.

00:47:50 - 00:47:54 | Speaker 2:

wait no

00:47:54 - 00:48:19 | Speaker 4:

go screw yourselves alright so 844 MOJO LIVE 844-665-6548 do you have one that you could share with us we listen and we don't judge tell us something it's almost like a little confession here and we'll let you talk all the time without us obviously judging you what was your other example going to be

00:48:19 - 00:48:39 | Speaker 3:

So I went to my dad's house for Christmas, obviously, and a lot over the holidays, but it got to the point where I forgot to go shopping, and I was doing a lot of laundry, catching up on all of my responsibilities while we were on break, and I ran out of laundry detergent. And I'm only saying this, and I specifically did this because I know my dad's in Mexico currently. I stole all of his laundry detergent. So when he comes home, he has none.

00:48:40 - 00:48:50 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Can I ask you a question? Saving money. And this is not a judging? Have you ever not had laundry detergent, and you just washed it in hot water? We listen and we don't judge.

00:48:51 - 00:48:52 | Speaker 3:

I have one.

00:48:52 - 00:48:57 | Speaker 4:

Okay, KP. We listen and we don't judge.

00:48:57 - 00:49:03 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I've only been seeing a guy for a couple of weeks, and I've already agreed to go on a vacation with him.

00:49:03 - 00:49:06 | Speaker 3:

Whoa! Sorry, that was exciting. We don't judge.

00:49:07 - 00:49:08 | Speaker 4:

Give that little slut a hug.

00:49:09 - 00:49:10 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

00:49:11 - 00:49:12 | Speaker 4:

That was not me.

00:49:12 - 00:49:14 | Speaker 1:

Wait, where are you going? Who was that? Where are you going?

00:49:16 - 00:49:18 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, where are you guys going, by the way?

00:49:18 - 00:49:27 | Speaker 1:

Do I have to give details? Or I thought we were just admitting something. Yeah, probably Nashville. You always go to Nashville. I actually don't really remember where we're going. We're going somewhere tropical.

00:49:27 - 00:49:30 | Speaker 4:

Wow. Look at that. And you've only known him for how long?

00:49:31 - 00:49:32 | Speaker 1:

Only a couple weeks.

00:49:32 - 00:49:37 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. I'm calling my friend. That's got to be a topic. Put that on as a topic. We've got to have that as a topic.

00:49:37 - 00:49:37 | Speaker 1:

Hold on.

00:49:39 - 00:49:43 | Speaker 4:

Daphne? Yes. Hold on. We're going to try this one. Ready? One, two, three.

00:49:43 - 00:49:45 | Speaker 1:

We listen and we don't judge.

00:49:45 - 00:49:48 | Speaker 4:

And we don't judge. No, you got to tell us yours. Go ahead.

00:49:50 - 00:49:57 | Speaker 1:

Okay. So I turned my notifications off on my location so my kids don't see that I went to Starbucks. Oh, yeah.

00:49:57 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 4:

That's a good one. That's a great one. That's a good one.

00:50:00 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 1:

That is a good one.

00:50:01 - 00:50:01 | Speaker 2:

That is an excellent one.

00:50:02 - 00:50:02 | Speaker 1:

That's survival.

00:50:02 - 00:50:10 | Speaker 2:

By the way, let's hope they're not listening to our show right now. They are, though. They're in the car. Oh, yeah. What do those kids think about that, kids?

00:50:11 - 00:50:13 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to take some for my kids. Don't say that.

00:50:13 - 00:50:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, here they are listening to it. Oh, you're in trouble. All right. Ruba, are you there, Ruba?

00:50:18 - 00:50:18 | Speaker 4:

Hey.

00:50:18 - 00:50:20 | Speaker 2:

Here we go, Ruba. Ready? One, two, three.

00:50:20 - 00:50:32 | Speaker 4:

We listen and we don't judge. Sometimes before I stop home, I'll grab myself something to eat. But if my significant other asks me, I'll tell them no. So that way I won't have to buy them anything.

00:50:34 - 00:50:35 | Speaker 2:

I've done that, too.

00:50:36 - 00:50:40 | Speaker 6:

Do we call that pre-dinner? Are we still eating dinner if we decide on something together?

00:50:40 - 00:50:41 | Speaker 2:

That is an appetizer.

00:50:41 - 00:50:45 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I most definitely eat dinner. Hell yeah. Hell yeah.

00:50:45 - 00:50:48 | Speaker 2:

And there's nothing better than a little Burger King on the way home.

00:50:48 - 00:50:50 | Speaker 4:

Whopper, whopper, whopper, whopper.

00:50:51 - 00:50:55 | Speaker 2:

All right. Let's go to, let's see here, Shanita. Shanita.

00:50:57 - 00:51:05 | Speaker 5:

Yes. Yes. Good morning. Good morning. We listen and we don't judge. First thing first, first time, long time.

00:51:08 - 00:51:13 | Speaker 2:

We're going to judge you on the fact that you haven't called us ever. Come on, you've got to call us more often. What's up?

00:51:13 - 00:51:44 | Speaker 5:

I've been trying. Sunday, me and my kids, she's 16. We went to Kroger. We're doing a grocery shopping. Kroger had this buy one, get one free on the Arm & Hammer washing soap. So we bought ours, obviously. So we're at the counter. We're paying for our groceries. And so there was two on the counter. Thinking that the guy didn't back ours, we're like, yeah, we bought that. And that's ours. He's like, oh, so those are yours? I'm like, yeah, obviously. So he backed them. We get in the car. Why were they not mine? My two were in the bag. So instead of the buy one, get one, I bought one and got three.

00:51:44 - 00:51:44 | Speaker 2:

Oh.

00:51:46 - 00:51:46 | Speaker 5:

Wow.

00:51:48 - 00:52:07 | Speaker 2:

They are a sponsor. No, no, no, no. We apologize, Kroger. We cannot say. Well, you know what, Shanita? We're not judging. You might need to go to confession with every reason on that one. Amanda, hi. Hi, good morning. How are you? Good morning. Ready? Here we go. One, two, three. We listen and we don't judge.

00:52:09 - 00:52:23 | Speaker 3:

So I work for a delivery service company. I can't say which one. But when I get to my last package towards the end of the night, if I don't feel like delivering it because it's too far, I take the box in the back of my van. I step on the corner of it and I mark it as damaged.

00:52:23 - 00:52:47 | Speaker 2:

No, no, that's a judging, by the way. You just did that. That sigh was a very judging. You don't deliver in my neighborhood, do you? I hope you don't. We listen and we don't judge. Oh, my gosh. Oh, geez. Sierra, hi. Ready? Sierra, here we go. We listen and we don't judge.

00:52:48 - 00:52:57 | Speaker 6:

Okay, so I also took the trip for a first date, but it was also a blind date and my first time ever meeting the person in person.

00:52:58 - 00:53:02 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Really? Yes. Oh,

00:53:02 - 00:53:04 | Speaker 3:

now that is a dirty little slut.

00:53:04 - 00:53:06 | Speaker 2:

Wow. That's amazing.

00:53:06 - 00:53:08 | Speaker 3:

We don't judge. No, no, no,

00:53:08 - 00:53:14 | Speaker 2:

that's not me. That's the sound box. That's so do you recommend KP do the same?

00:53:15 - 00:53:18 | Speaker 6:

I had the best time. Oh yes.

00:53:19 - 00:53:20 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:53:20 - 00:53:21 | Speaker 6:

Have the time of your life.

00:53:21 - 00:53:23 | Speaker 2:

All right. My mom is judging.

00:53:23 - 00:53:30 | Speaker 5:

My mom is judging. She broke the rule to this game. I'm not playing this game anymore. You know what?

00:53:30 - 00:53:40 | Speaker 2:

I got to tell KP's mom, you're ruining your daughter's career by judging this way. She'll never open up to us ever again. We got to have KP's mom listen to the J Tower show.

00:53:40 - 00:53:42 | Speaker 5:

I'm so tired of being judged. Mom.

00:53:43 - 00:53:49 | Speaker 2:

Your daughter's going to be a superstar as long as you don't judge her. All right. That was me judging, by the way.

00:53:50 - 00:53:54 | Speaker 4:

Cheat and you'll get caught. It's the War of the Roses in minutes on Mojo in the Morning.

00:54:21 - 00:54:23 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:54:23 - 00:54:31 | Speaker 2:

All right, we're going to get you caught up. Ooh, just dropped that one. We're going to get you caught up on what's trending this morning in the Dirty on the 30. Good morning, Shannon.

00:54:31 - 00:55:13 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. Carrie Underwood is set to perform America the Beautiful, President-elect Donald Trump's presidential inauguration in Washington, D.C. on Monday. She's going to be accompanied by the Armed Forces Chorus and the U.S. Naval Academy Glee Club. She said, I love our country. I am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. She went on to say, I'm humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and look to the future. Behind Trump's favorite campaign song, also going to be performing at some inaugural events. The Village People are going to play. I think they're playing the night before, and they might be playing the inaugural bowl. I cannot tell you.

00:55:13 - 00:55:17 | Speaker 3:

Does that mean, will he be doing the Trump dance then to it?

00:55:17 - 00:55:32 | Speaker 1:

Maybe, maybe. Jason Aldean, Rascal Flats will also be performing at that ball. And then the ceremonies at some point, and I don't know where specifically, will also feature performances from Billy Ray Cyrus and Kid Rock.

00:55:32 - 00:56:26 | Speaker 3:

Did you see J.D. Vance? As well. He hinted that he may not go to the inauguration or may leave the inauguration early to go to the national championship game. The Buckeyes, he's a Buckeye, are playing Notre Dame in the national football championship. And he was saying that that would be the only thing that he would miss the inauguration. of his he's not going yeah he's going he's staying in with dc but he said that that he asked the ohio delegation that was going to be there if we could have big tvs to be able to watch that game by the way if the buckeyes win this thing they can only thank the wolverines for literally giving them the inspiration to do it because i think that whole planting the flag beating them on their turf kind of woke those guys up. And I hate this. I hate it. Hate every minute of it. Don't want to see those guys win. Go Notre Dame. Go Irish.

00:56:27 - 00:57:30 | Speaker 1:

What is the latest update on TikTok and the fate of TikTok? So yesterday, the Chinese government was reported to be considering a plan for Elon Musk to acquire TikTok's U.S. business. That's according to Bloomberg. This plan is one of several options that China is exploring as the Supreme Court determines whether to uphold the law that could effectively ban TikTok come this Sunday at midnight. So under this plan, Musk would oversee both X and then TikTok's U.S. business. However, Chinese government officials haven't decided on whether it will move forward with this idea. It's also unclear whether ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, knows about the Chinese government plans and TikTok and Elon's involvement in the discussions. A TikTok spokesperson said in an email to CNBC last night, we can't be expected to comment on pure fiction. So that says to me that they're thinking this ain't going to happen. Yesterday in D.C., Democratic Senator Ro Khanna talking about this.

00:57:30 - 00:57:47 | Speaker 2:

I call on President Biden and President-elect Trump to put a pause on this ban so 170 million Americans don't lose their free speech. and millions of Americans' livelihood will be ended if this ban takes place.

00:57:47 - 00:58:21 | Speaker 1:

Speaking of President Biden, his administration said yesterday that it is offering a $770 one-time payment to individuals devastated by the catastrophic wildfires in Los Angeles. Those wildfires now have resulted in at least 25 deaths and the destruction of thousands of structures with entire neighborhoods now reduced to ashes i mean every day and today is the day well he said it was for like um necessities that like prescriptions that you would need

00:58:21 - 00:59:06 | Speaker 3:

today they said the biggest thing that's been a problem is every one of these guys are staying now in airbnbs and people are jacking their prices up so high maybe the california like government needs to get their craziness down and start making it illegal for people to jack up the prices of rent knowing that there's some people that say that they'll go to a home to go try to rent something or to an apartment and the rent will go up by a thousand dollars right in front of their face a federal law well it should be definitely well the state starts it and the state should stop that because in in uh michigan we fight price gouging all the time you know like with price gouging of like parking lots during high events and uh gas prices and stuff like that So I think the Attorney General in California needs to get their ass going.

00:59:06 - 00:59:14 | Speaker 1:

During the algae blooms and the water crises, a lot of places were upping water, like bottled water prices. But I thought that was a...

00:59:14 - 00:59:15 | Speaker 3:

It should be highly illegal.

00:59:16 - 01:00:19 | Speaker 1:

It is, I thought. And lastly, if you want to hang out or use the bathroom at Starbucks, you're going to have to buy something now. Starbucks said yesterday it is reversing its policy that invited everybody into its stores, whether you bought something or you didn't. A new code of conduct also banning discrimination or harassment, consumption of outside alcohol, smoking, vaping, drug use, and panhandling, which I thought was already in place, but I guess it wasn't. A Starbucks spokesperson said the new rules are designed to help prioritize paying customers. So if you go into a Starbucks, you try to use the bathroom or you're sitting there studying and you don't buy anything, you will be asked to leave. If you do not leave, the store may call law enforcement. For all of today's Dirty, catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or Mojo in the Morning. All right, giving you a chance to win a trip to Florida. Qualifier number two, Mandy. Mandy's a winner. Yeah. Yeah. Mandy.

01:00:20 - 01:00:21 | Speaker 4:

I need the warm weather.

01:00:21 - 01:00:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. We all do. But you know what, Mandy? You are so lucky you got in. Congratulations.

01:00:27 - 01:00:27 | Speaker 4:

Thank you.

01:00:28 - 01:00:31 | Speaker 1:

Mandy is in, I don't know where you're from. Where are you from?

01:00:32 - 01:00:36 | Speaker 4:

Well, I'm in Forest Creek right now, going to work.

01:00:36 - 01:00:37 | Speaker 1:

Where's Forest Creek?

01:00:38 - 01:00:40 | Speaker 4:

No, Swartz Creek. Swartz Creek.

01:00:40 - 01:00:43 | Speaker 1:

Swartz Creek. Where's Swartz Creek?

01:00:43 - 01:00:45 | Speaker 4:

It's up east of Flint.

01:00:45 - 01:00:48 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right. It's got to be cold there, huh?

01:00:48 - 01:00:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:00:50 - 01:00:51 | Speaker 1:

It's cold everywhere.

01:00:51 - 01:00:52 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we've got to pull it 14 degrees.

01:00:52 - 01:02:08 | Speaker 1:

The further you get towards that water, it's getting even colder. So we got a trip to Florida, Fort Myers. If you win this one, you and a friend will be going to Fort Myers. You will get nonstop airfare. You will also get car rental. You'll stay at the Margaritaville Beach Resort. You will get a guided tour with kayaks, with kayak excursions, giving that to you, and a pass to Lovers Key State Park, courtesy of the Florida State Parks. It's all from Visit Florida. Congratulations to you. That's perfect. Thank you, Mojo. Thank you so much. Thank you. Appreciate you, Mandy. Hold on one second, and we'll get you set up with this, okay? All right. We got that call yesterday from a very, very nice anonymous donor to Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish who wants to donate to the Breaking and Entering a chance for you to possibly go to a Lions game on Sunday by buying you tickets or giving you a gift card to buy tickets for the game. And people have been entering so far. Like, I can't tell you, it's unbelievable. Like, hundreds of entries so far. Actually, it was thousands this morning, but even hundreds more just came in since 5 o'clock this morning. Go to mojoswish.org. Tell us why you should be going to the game. I liked Kayla. Is this a good one, Kayla? Kayla?

01:02:10 - 01:02:10 | Speaker 4:

Hello.

01:02:11 - 01:02:15 | Speaker 1:

You're nominating Brock, who's a single dad, right?

01:02:17 - 01:02:45 | Speaker 3:

So he has, we've been together for a few years. He took in my three daughters as if they were his own. They don't have the best dad. And then I randomly got a message one day about a year and a half ago if I could also take in my niece because her parents weren't the best fit. Oh, man. And so he has now taken in my niece. And he loves these girls on if he was his own. That's awesome. He works his hardest for me. What a good man.

01:02:46 - 01:02:47 | Unknown:

Man.

01:02:47 - 01:03:02 | Speaker 3:

He will show up to every game, even if he's going in late. He most of the time makes it late, but he will show up to everything. He doesn't really get to buy or do much for himself because he does work so much and takes care of the girls. He's just an all-hands-down amazing guy.

01:03:02 - 01:03:24 | Speaker 1:

Well, let me say this to you. You don't have to be blood to be their dad. That's a dad right there, and possibly going to the game. So hang on, you're entered into this one. That's cool, Brock. Great job, buddy. Big Lions fan. And then we also want to nominate – Heather is on with us right now. nominating her husband, who is a brave American soldier, right? Where did he serve? What branch?

01:03:24 - 01:03:27 | Speaker 2:

He's been in Iraq and Afghanistan, and he works in the Marine Corps.

01:03:27 - 01:03:32 | Speaker 1:

He's in the Marines. We got to salute him and thank him for what he's doing. And he's a huge Lions fan, huh?

01:03:33 - 01:03:37 | Speaker 2:

He is. He's been watching them for a long time. When they were bad, and they were good.

01:03:37 - 01:03:42 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. We all have, right? When they were bad. Heather, where are you guys from?

01:03:43 - 01:03:44 | Speaker 2:

We're from Temperance, Michigan.

01:03:45 - 01:03:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, God, it'd be nice, too. Wouldn't it be awesome if we can get you these tickets? And the Lions even would honor you during one of the timeouts. Honor, what's his name? Give us his name again.

01:03:56 - 01:03:57 | Speaker 2:

Scott is my husband.

01:03:58 - 01:03:58 | Speaker 1:

Scott?

01:03:59 - 01:04:00 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

01:04:00 - 01:04:03 | Speaker 1:

All right. What kind of rank is he? Do you know?

01:04:03 - 01:04:05 | Speaker 2:

He is about to be promoted to E8.

01:04:06 - 01:04:10 | Speaker 1:

All right. Well, listen, I don't know what that means, but that means something good, I hope, right?

01:04:10 - 01:04:11 | Speaker 2:

It sounds important.

01:04:11 - 01:04:17 | Speaker 1:

Give him some stripes. Hopefully those stripes have Honolulu blue in them. Hang on one second. You guys are nominated too.

01:04:18 - 01:04:18 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

01:04:19 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 1:

So this is a good contest. We've got two different types of contests. We've got another one we're going to announce after War of the Roses, which I'm going to get to in a second. People are yelling at me right now. They're like, enough of the nicety. Get to the War of the Roses. We're giving you a chance to go see the Lions a couple of times by giving you an opportunity to win some gift cards to go buy your tickets through Ticketmaster Exchange and all that stuff. Here's how you do it. If you want to win and you've got somebody that really needs to go, we had an anonymous breaking and entering Christmas wish donor donate money so that he could buy you tickets. Go to mojoswish.org and tell us who really needs to go and what's the reasoning.

01:05:00 - 01:05:21 | Speaker 2:

and it's the most heartwarming story ever is going to win. And then we're going to do an Amaranth St. Brown head handstand contest. I'll explain that for a chance to win another pair of tickets, and that's from House of Hummus. So we've got to love those guys for this. So that's coming up here in the next 20 minutes. First, though, if you want to bust a cheater.

01:05:21 - 01:05:27 | Speaker 3:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

01:05:27 - 01:05:34 | Speaker 2:

Austin thinks that his boyfriend is cheating on him Austin, why is that? Why do you feel that way?

01:05:35 - 01:05:38 | Speaker 4:

He's just being weird

01:05:38 - 01:05:41 | Speaker 2:

How is he being weird? What's he doing?

01:05:43 - 01:06:03 | Speaker 4:

Well, he's been using Snapchat a lot, I know And I looked into his phone I know I shouldn't have done it I opened his phone And he's using Snapchat frequently But also, he's got this Grindr account, and there's, like, very many recent messages.

01:06:04 - 01:06:06 | Speaker 1:

Why is he on Grindr? You guys are in a relationship.

01:06:07 - 01:06:10 | Speaker 4:

Well, yeah. I mean, I don't know why he's on Grindr.

01:06:11 - 01:06:15 | Speaker 1:

And you don't have an open relationship. You're exclusively monogamous.

01:06:16 - 01:06:18 | Speaker 4:

No, we are monogamous.

01:06:19 - 01:06:24 | Speaker 2:

Maybe he just unactivated or did not deactivate his account.

01:06:24 - 01:06:29 | Speaker 1:

But he said if it's, like, still going, like, if he's still getting messages.

01:06:29 - 01:06:33 | Speaker 2:

Can you tell if he's active on it, or is he just actively getting people interested in him?

01:06:34 - 01:06:36 | Speaker 4:

No, it seems like he's active on it.

01:06:36 - 01:06:38 | Speaker 1:

So did you ask him about that?

01:06:40 - 01:06:43 | Speaker 4:

I haven't been candid with him about it.

01:06:44 - 01:06:50 | Speaker 2:

So you've been wanting just to investigate it a little bit more before you bring it up to him, and this is kind of where we come into play?

01:06:51 - 01:07:00 | Speaker 4:

Well, yeah, and I mean, this is kind of the crucial piece of evidence for me, but he's been keeping lube in his overnight bag.

01:07:01 - 01:07:03 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Y'all use lube?

01:07:04 - 01:07:11 | Speaker 4:

We do, but I don't know why we wouldn't just use the lube that I have in my apartment. It's like, we don't go on trips. We live together, so.

01:07:11 - 01:07:22 | Speaker 2:

So you guys don't, you guys do live together, but the overnight bag is for when he's out of town or staying away from you?

01:07:23 - 01:07:25 | Speaker 4:

He goes and works out with that bag all the time.

01:07:25 - 01:07:30 | Speaker 2:

So he's using that bag often. Right. That would make me feel.

01:07:31 - 01:07:32 | Speaker 1:

Absolutely.

01:07:32 - 01:07:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. All right. So we're going to call him up to do a War of the Roses. Are we offering flowers? or what do we think? Do we think that he's the type of guy that would send flowers? Maybe lube.

01:07:49 - 01:07:51 | Speaker 1:

I am not asking about lube.

01:07:52 - 01:08:01 | Speaker 2:

Do you think that your boyfriend is the type of guy that if we offered or did a thing where we were offering free roses, he might be interested? He would send you flowers? Does he send you flowers?

01:08:03 - 01:08:06 | Speaker 4:

Well, if it's free, he would do it.

01:08:06 - 01:08:24 | Speaker 2:

Okay. So he's a free kind of guy. Well, let's see. Let's see what happens. We're going to call him up to see where he's going to send a dozen free roses. And we're hoping that he sends them to you, Austin. This is the Mojo in the Morning War of the Roses. Mute your phone so he doesn't become suspicious and hear somebody else on the line.

01:08:24 - 01:08:24 | Speaker 1:

What's his name?

01:08:25 - 01:08:32 | Speaker 2:

Malcolm. Actually, Malcolm. So you have his last name and everything, too.

01:08:32 - 01:08:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I see it.

01:08:34 - 01:08:36 | Speaker 2:

All right, here we go.

01:08:37 - 01:09:10 | Speaker 1:

hello hi i'm looking for melcom yeah who's this hi malcolm my name is nicole and i'm calling you from a new internet floral company called rosesbloom.com with an offer for some free flowers do you have like 30 seconds to answer some survey questions in exchange for a dozen long-stemmed red roses a minute taps

01:09:10 - 01:09:15 | Speaker 4:

i mean i don't know i'm kind of stressed for cash i can't really afford anything like that i'm sorry

01:09:15 - 01:09:37 | Speaker 1:

no it's okay it's totally free though totally free not going to ask you for credit card information nothing like that okay not at all not at all nope it's just you answer two survey questions and we're going to send the flowers to whomever you'd like. And then hopefully in the future, you'll use rosesbloom.com instead of any sort of company that you've used in the past.

01:09:38 - 01:09:38 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

01:09:39 - 01:09:42 | Speaker 1:

Okay, Malcolm, have you purchased flowers in the past six months?

01:09:43 - 01:09:44 | Speaker 4:

No.

01:09:45 - 01:09:47 | Speaker 1:

Okay, do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months?

01:09:49 - 01:09:51 | Speaker 4:

Not really, but depending on how this goes, maybe.

01:09:52 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Okay. As a thank you for participating in that survey, roses bloom.com is now authorized to provide you with a dozen long-stemmed

01:10:00 - 01:10:12 | Speaker 2:

red roses. Again, that's what you're getting. And so I'm going to go ahead and get some information from you in terms of who these are going to go to. And they, they will go out later on today. All right. So I need a first and a last name and it can be anywhere.

01:10:12 - 01:10:18 | Speaker 4:

It could be out of state. It could be here. Okay. It was not too far from here, but we'll

01:10:18 - 01:10:32 | Speaker 2:

do uh julia okay uh and uh i need a telephone number for julia phone number okay uh give me

01:10:32 - 01:10:40 | Speaker 4:

a second let me find it okay uh okay six one six

01:10:40 - 01:11:33 | Speaker 2:

mm-hmm okay and what is Julia's relationship to you she's a friend okay and just confirming a dozen long stemmed red roses is okay yeah that'd be great okay Malcolm we do something unique at rosesbloom.com. And instead of sending a paper card with the flowers, I'm going to have you record a voice memo. And so when the flowers get delivered, Julia will get a text alerting her she has a delivery and then she'll see this voice memo pop up and she'll be able to play it and know who the flowers are from. All right. Okay. So I'm going to count you down and then you can you can say whatever you want. You can make it long, short. It doesn't matter. Okay. Here we go.

01:11:33 - 01:11:47 | Speaker 4:

three, two, one. Hey, I know times have been dark, but I promise they'll get better. Here's a gift

01:11:47 - 01:12:02 | Speaker 2:

for you. Okay. And Malcolm, I also have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that? That's fine. Malcolm, I'm going to jump on

01:12:02 - 01:12:28 | Speaker 1:

just to wrap up the call, but I want to make sure that we get everything right before we do. I need to inform you of one last thing, okay? All right. I want to let you know that while you've been sending the flowers off and sending them off to Julia, that there was somebody else that is on the phone with us right now that was hoping that you were going to send the flowers to them.

01:12:32 - 01:12:33 | Speaker 3:

What? Who?

01:12:34 - 01:12:39 | Speaker 1:

Malcolm, your boyfriend Austin is on the phone and was hoping that you were going to send him the flowers.

01:12:41 - 01:12:47 | Speaker 4:

Why would you send her those? Because she's a friend.

01:12:51 - 01:13:12 | Speaker 1:

Malcolm, you sound like you're upset for the way that Austin is accusing you of this? Is this something that he's ever accused you before of? Or have you guys had issues? Okay. Yes. All the time.

01:13:14 - 01:13:16 | Speaker 2:

With this person specifically or just in general?

01:13:18 - 01:13:20 | Speaker 4:

Really just this person.

01:13:20 - 01:13:30 | Speaker 3:

austin you you have a problem with uh with this with julia he knows that i have never cared for

01:13:30 - 01:13:39 | Speaker 2:

her but is this girl a threat to your relationship or she just you just don't like her in general

01:13:39 - 01:13:49 | Speaker 3:

i just don't like her so so she's not and i don't i don't know how your guys's relationship is she's

01:13:49 - 01:13:56 | Speaker 1:

not somebody that you would suspect that malcolm is is actually having a sexual relationship with

01:13:56 - 01:14:15 | Speaker 3:

god no i i hope not well what's the lube for what are you talking about austin what what am i talking about malcolm the lube and s**t.

01:14:23 - 01:14:32 | Speaker 4:

Hello? Okay. I don't really see why that's anyone else's business or what that has to do with this.

01:14:34 - 01:14:51 | Speaker 3:

Okay, well, you're my boyfriend. It's certainly my business. I don't know why you would look in my bag. that's such an invasion of my privacy. You've been acting weird and I felt justified in doing so. I'm sorry.

01:14:54 - 01:14:56 | Speaker 4:

Just because you felt justified

01:14:56 - 01:15:23 | Speaker 3:

doesn't mean that you were. Here's the thing that I want to just ask you guys to get cleared up. And I'm going to let you guys talk to each other because I think that this is a very private conversation right now that we're listening on. So you don't, Austin, think that Malcolm is cheating with this woman. You just don't like her. But you still, after this, think that there's something going on?

01:15:25 - 01:15:26 | Speaker 2:

I don't know.

01:15:26 - 01:15:32 | Speaker 7:

Okay, but do you think that he's cheating with her? That's the part I'm confused on, no

01:15:32 - 01:15:39 | Speaker 2:

No, I don't think that he's cheating with her But I think that there is something up

01:15:39 - 01:15:50 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to let you guys talk to each other on hold And then we'll have you guys be able to talk in private, okay?

01:15:52 - 01:16:02 | Speaker 4:

Okay This is the home of War of the Roses Mojo in the Morning. Join the discussion now. 844-MOJO-LIVE.

01:16:14 - 01:16:18 | Speaker 5:

844-665-6548. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:16:25 - 01:17:20 | Speaker 3:

I don't necessarily think that we caught a cheater. Yeah. We did have a situation here, obviously, where a boyfriend is not very happy with the fact that he's dating a guy who's also on Grindr. We've got to get into that and talk about that. But he seems like he's more jealous of this girl and the friendship that she has with his boyfriend, Malcolm. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I have a quick question to ask. First off, do we screw up by not doing something other than flowers? And I don't know this, and I'm sure that they do. But do guys send their boyfriends flowers, or would we have been better off? Because maybe the flower thing spurred on, hey, I'll send them to a female friend of mine. So I don't know.

01:17:20 - 01:17:24 | Speaker 8:

I mean, my friends who are gay send flowers to each other.

01:17:24 - 01:18:01 | Speaker 3:

They do send flowers? Yeah. But that was one thought. And then the other question, this is a big question. Who's jealous of their man's friend, okay? Or who's jealous of the friend? Like, here's a situation where obviously this is a gay man. And there's nothing probably romantically going on. because it doesn't seem like even Austin was worried about something romantic. Sounds like he just doesn't like this Julie girl. But who's jealous of their friend? Because this would be interesting in heterosexual relationships if, like, as a guy, I was jealous of, like, one of Chelsea's friends or if Chelsea was jealous of one of my guy friends.

01:18:02 - 01:18:02 | Speaker 8:

Right.

01:18:02 - 01:18:27 | Speaker 3:

You know what I mean? Like, my wife would be – because I could see where this could happen. Like, you get jealous of a person and their friendship that they have with them. um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 so first off i'll give you my thoughts and then you guys can uh go around i think that the flowers thing is the reason why he ended up going and giving this to some julie girl i wondered if we would have done hey where would you want to send a shave kit

01:18:27 - 01:18:32 | Speaker 8:

or something like that or i don't know what the deal or whatever whatever i guess things that

01:18:32 - 01:18:44 | Speaker 3:

guys like you know but i um so i think that's the case but we actually spurred on not just that this guy's you know not comfortable in his relationship because the whole grinder account thing but

01:18:44 - 01:18:55 | Speaker 6:

grinder isn't only used for hookups what is it used for you can use it just to meet other like gay men for friends and stuff like that like we all know that that goes uh down or wrong the

01:18:55 - 01:19:13 | Speaker 8:

problem is yeah when it's grinder friends but when it's grinder it was like that was a ding and then the snapchat going all the time to me that was a ding the lube still i don't know if i believe what he said that was a day like all of those things piled on top of each other make

01:19:13 - 01:19:41 | Speaker 6:

me go something funky's happening i get that i i do and i do think that he's probably up to something but it's hard to be like but people do use the app for other things and snapchat is a relatively popular app where people just talk to their friends and lube can be used by yourself as long as well as other people and if he's traveling for work alone it might be nice to have a little meantime like it's just not like cut and dry to me sean you think the grinder uh account is more

01:19:41 - 01:19:55 | Speaker 1:

suspicious than maybe megan does absolutely y'all supposed to hit him with the grinder account y'all let him off too easy as soon as he said the lube he started talking about his privacy come on man

01:19:55 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 3:

he got caught yeah we we probably should have gotten into the grinder a little bit but i think

01:20:00 - 01:20:15 | Speaker 1:

I think we felt a little uncomfortable that he was – they seemed like they were not going – I don't know what the deal is. Maybe I need to be more comfortable with gay men fighting on the radio. Yeah. I don't know.

01:20:15 - 01:20:18 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, you were uncomfortable. You shouldn't have let him off the hook so easy.

01:20:18 - 01:20:22 | Speaker 1:

You're right. I absolutely agree with you. Steven, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. How are you, Steven?

01:20:23 - 01:20:30 | Speaker 8:

I'm good. First time caller, long time caller. Hey, baby, baby. Yo, Steven's on the phone. There we go.

01:20:31 - 01:20:33 | Speaker 1:

Kevin's not here, so we'll do it for you. What's up?

01:20:34 - 01:20:52 | Speaker 8:

But I'm curious to know how long has he been friends with the female for him not to like her? It seems so innocent that if she's going through dark times, like, she could be seriously going through something and he wants to cheer her up. That could be his best friend.

01:20:52 - 01:20:57 | Speaker 1:

And that's something that we should get into and we should find that out, Lydia, if you can ask that question.

01:20:57 - 01:21:03 | Speaker 2:

of how long the friendship was going on because i don't even think that that doesn't worry me that

01:21:03 - 01:21:14 | Speaker 1:

he sent him to like it's everything else but but how long is the friend if the friendship's been going on for a long time this uh you know uh has to be something that austin needs to get over

01:21:14 - 01:21:19 | Speaker 3:

like you can't just say because you've been friends with somebody for a long time you want

01:21:19 - 01:21:24 | Speaker 1:

to sleep together no i don't think it's about sleeping together i think it's but i think it's

01:21:24 - 01:21:26 | Speaker 2:

But what is so bad about this girl?

01:21:26 - 01:21:32 | Speaker 1:

Sounds to me like she's a pain in the ass. Or Austin thinks she's a pain in the ass. What's up, Flo?

01:21:34 - 01:21:34 | Speaker 7:

Hi.

01:21:35 - 01:21:35 | Speaker 1:

How you doing?

01:21:35 - 01:21:38 | Speaker 7:

I think, first time, long time. Hey, now, Flo.

01:21:40 - 01:21:40 | Speaker 1:

Flo.

01:21:41 - 01:22:00 | Speaker 7:

I don't know. I think the friend really has more to do with this situation. I feel like the friend is, like, more probably hooking him up with other friends. That's why he said, I know what you're going through and everything. I think the friend probably had more to do with it. Then that's why the boyfriend don't like the other friend.

01:22:00 - 01:22:05 | Speaker 1:

We should investigate that because that could be a situation where we have seen where there's bad influence friends.

01:22:06 - 01:22:12 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, like her, like she didn't hook them up with somebody or she's doing more than, that's why he don't like her.

01:22:12 - 01:22:31 | Speaker 1:

Maybe she, maybe this friend doesn't necessarily do a good job of promoting the relationship between Austin and Malcolm. welcome maybe she's a bad because i've had bad influence friends in the past that chelsea didn't like that much that weren't the weren't the greatest influences on you what's up g hi um i

01:22:31 - 01:22:49 | Speaker 5:

was calling in because i actually had a weird experience a couple years back my best friend at the time we were friends for seven years um was jealous of her stepbrother dating me um which was kind of odd so the speculation with my friends and i was that she maybe had a crush on her

01:22:49 - 01:22:54 | Speaker 1:

stepbrother oh i watched that porn what's going on with that huh do you ever find out more about

01:22:54 - 01:22:59 | Speaker 5:

that no she just stopped talking to me she said i was an awful friend for dating her brother

01:22:59 - 01:23:04 | Speaker 1:

do you have to get a permission to date somebody's brother i actually do kind of

01:23:04 - 01:23:16 | Speaker 3:

get where she's coming from and i don't think it's because she was into her stepbrother i think if you guys get into a such a blow-up situation where you won't come around anymore it's affecting your friendship so you put that relationship over your friendship do you think

01:23:16 - 01:23:29 | Speaker 5:

it was that or you think it was romantic g um i don't really know because i we told her and we asked for permission and she said yeah and it was fine and there was probably something there

01:23:29 - 01:23:40 | Speaker 1:

because it is a stepbrother too yeah and then after that she got pissed wow uh tiffany what's happening it's mojo in the morning show we were talking about how you're jealous of your bet

01:23:40 - 01:24:05 | Speaker 6:

best uh your your significance best friend what's up yeah my uh husband is jealous of my best guy friend we've been friends probably for 20 years and when he first met him unfortunately my mom said oh this is her soulmate the man she's gonna marry oh geez and joke about it but yeah there's nothing going on there but he's still jealous of him to this day so uh i do get it when you are

01:24:05 - 01:24:16 | Speaker 2:

a heterosexual female and your best friend is a member of the opposite sex even though i totally believe there's could be nothing going on like that to me i understand more than this situation

01:24:16 - 01:24:20 | Speaker 1:

have you ever had a romantic thing or have you guys ever had sex with each other baked cookies

01:24:20 - 01:24:31 | Speaker 6:

um we had like a romantic thing once we tried because so many people wanted us together but then we realized we were better off best friends we knew way too much about each other and i've

01:24:31 - 01:24:41 | Speaker 1:

been there for so many different things okay all right that's honesty thanks for answering that question um amanda this is a an interesting one because amanda is kind of like the what was her

01:24:41 - 01:24:54 | Speaker 4:

name julia in this what's up amanda yeah um i have a really good friend we work together at my second job he is gay and we mean each other constantly and my husband accused me of cheating because

01:24:54 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 1:

he's constantly messaging me and and he is a gay man

01:24:59 - 01:25:29 | Unknown:

Thank you.

01:25:00 - 01:25:05 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah. Flamboyantly. Like, there's not even a remote possibility.

01:25:05 - 01:25:14 | Speaker 1:

So your husband is not excited about you having a man, whether he's gay or straight, as a best friend?

01:25:16 - 01:25:23 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no. Not at all. But we just, I don't care. I've told him multiple times. We just send each other memes. That's the thing.

01:25:24 - 01:25:26 | Speaker 1:

What are those memes? I want to know. Are they dirty memes?

01:25:27 - 01:25:43 | Speaker 6:

Oh, it's either it's sexual in the fact that we both, like, are horribly, like, raunchy. And into the same things. But towards men. And then, or how we hate our jobs.

01:25:44 - 01:25:47 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Do you think the sexual memes thing, though, makes him feel uncomfortable?

01:25:48 - 01:25:51 | Speaker 6:

My husband doesn't even know. He's not even on social media. He doesn't even know what they are.

01:25:51 - 01:25:53 | Speaker 1:

All right. He just doesn't like you talking to him.

01:25:53 - 01:25:58 | Speaker 6:

He probably wouldn't find the memes relatable either, would he? no not at all

01:25:58 - 01:26:02 | Speaker 1:

interesting alright well thank you for the call

01:26:02 - 01:26:04 | Speaker 6:

my friend offered to show him the truth but you know

01:26:04 - 01:26:21 | Speaker 1:

yeah well every woman I always believe that should have a good gay best friend should have a guy in their life that's their gay best friend I did think I thought Chelsea was fooling around with her gay best friend Kevin for the longest time but I didn't know Kevin was gay so that was the thing

01:26:21 - 01:26:23 | Speaker 2:

oh yeah yeah so I always having Kevin that I know Kevin yeah

01:26:23 - 01:26:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I always thought, oh, this is kind of where they work out together. I'm like, oh, okay, there you go. Mike, what's up, Mike?

01:26:31 - 01:26:50 | Speaker 3:

Not much. I don't know if it's jealousy or what, but my wife will get mad at me when I go hang out with one of my friends because my friend, he's a little bit younger, late 20s. I'm in my mid-30s, but my buddy, he's a player. He's always got a new chick. Yeah, I had that, too. So sometimes I got to take the fight with my wife. It might last a couple days to hang out with my friend.

01:26:51 - 01:26:55 | Speaker 1:

Can I be honest? Just bring her with occasionally just so she can see how bad his game is.

01:26:57 - 01:26:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I should try that.

01:26:58 - 01:27:20 | Speaker 1:

You know what? That's the problem, though. I hope he doesn't send you. This was my problem. Don't allow your friend to send you pictures of the girl that said he's meeting because it does make your wife feel uncomfortable. It made Chelsea feel uncomfortable that I had a friend that would always send these pictures of these girls that he was dating. And he would do it because he was trying to make himself look cooler than he was.

01:27:20 - 01:27:21 | Speaker 3:

It was causing problems for you.

01:27:21 - 01:27:30 | Speaker 1:

And it was honestly stuff I didn't, I didn't, I not necessarily wanted to see them. So, you know what I mean? Like it was, it was just kind of weird, but don't allow that to happen. Does he do that to you?

01:27:31 - 01:27:34 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes he'll send me a pictures naked.

01:27:34 - 01:27:35 | Speaker 1:

Does he send you naked pictures?

01:27:36 - 01:27:36 | Speaker 3:

No.

01:27:36 - 01:27:44 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Yeah. Don't do that. Don't ever do that. And then she'll feel much more comfortable if, if she's, he's not doing that stuff.

01:27:45 - 01:27:46 | Speaker 3:

All right.

01:27:46 - 01:27:59 | Speaker 1:

All right. Thanks buddy. Appreciate it. And, by the way, we found out that this girl, this Julia girl, has been around for a while, longer than, you know, Austin has been around. What's up, Courtney? What's going on?

01:28:00 - 01:28:35 | Speaker 5:

People are making comments that their husbands or wives were like, oh, because it's my gay best friend, I thought, you know, and then they're like, oh, because they were gay, we couldn't hook up, or they don't think we'll be together. But I have a friend, and he's very gay, and he went to hair school with me. Like, most flamboyant walks more like a girl than I do, you know. And he actually was dating a girl for a couple years after hair school. I almost died because I would have never guessed, you know, knowing him the way he is still today, he does drag and everything, that he would ever date a girl. So they can't even go off of that, you know.

01:28:36 - 01:28:36 | Speaker 1:

Interesting.

01:28:36 - 01:28:37 | Speaker 5:

It happens.

01:28:37 - 01:28:45 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so you're saying that this guy, you think that Malcolm, who sends the flowers to this girl, still probably is doing some things with girls?

01:28:45 - 01:28:51 | Speaker 2:

but we don't even know if he ever did anything with girls well we don't but you know that's

01:28:51 - 01:28:57 | Speaker 1:

but that's the thing we but we don't know but maybe austin thinks yeah uh it could be i mean

01:28:57 - 01:29:03 | Speaker 2:

it could be but is there out in a relationship it sounds like this guy might have been not in that

01:29:03 - 01:29:20 | Speaker 1:

same scenario yeah i don't know everybody's speculating now it's just because we don't have the answers but i'll be quite honest with you it may be it may be something as simple as they got into a fight one time and he took this girl's side over, you know, his side. Um, initial T I want to end with you. Initial T voice disguised.

01:29:20 - 01:29:24 | Speaker 4:

What's going on? Hey, good morning guys. Good morning. Good morning.

01:29:24 - 01:29:26 | Speaker 1:

What's happening. Um,

01:29:27 - 01:29:31 | Speaker 4:

I have been the offering. I don't think, are you on speakerphone?

01:29:32 - 01:29:41 | Speaker 1:

I am. You got to get off speaker. Lydia, uh, voices guys does not work with people on speaker phones. They have to be on their handhelds. Go ahead.

01:29:41 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 4:

uh does that sound better yes better yeah go ahead perfect um i don't think this has anything to do with the friend i think the guy just doesn't like the friend and that's that and why do you say that i because i have been in a situation where i you know got uninterested in my relationship

01:30:00 - 01:30:14 | Speaker 5:

re-downloaded Grindr meet new friends, chat with people then it turns into Snapchat then it turns into something else I'm not proud of it so this is like textbook what you did time to separate yeah

01:30:14 - 01:30:23 | Speaker 2:

Megan was saying that a lot of times you'll see people in gay relationships go to Grindr just to find people that have commonality

01:30:23 - 01:30:44 | Speaker 4:

or events going on correct, we love you Megan you always know what you're talking about but i don't go don't go that way no no no i get what he's saying and i i agree with him like i i and i said this when shannon brought it up too like i can see this being a cheating scenario and i can also see it not being a cheating scenario i just don't think it's like we caught

01:30:44 - 01:30:53 | Speaker 2:

you red-handed but he he says though it could lead to it td t your situation led to you cheating

01:30:53 - 01:31:02 | Speaker 5:

eventually um i didn't go as far as fully cheating but like mentally emotionally yes not physically

01:31:02 - 01:32:03 | Speaker 2:

okay what when you say that uh do you guys send nakeds to each other you're always asking the hard-hitting questions i gotta do it i'm i'm the uh the journalist of the show i i studied journalism the barbara walters yeah come on go ahead you sent them go ahead but you know we did by the way this sounds like the weirdest phone call ever i'm on the phone with a gay man right now you are a gay man right because i can't tell with the voices geyser machine correct i'm on the phone with a gay man and we're talking about sending nudes can you girls leave the room please i'd like to have more conversation with you what does t stand for testicles what is the initial though where do we go uh all right thank you for the call i appreciate it all right have a good morning and you take back what you said to megan because she will let me hear about it for the rest of time megan is not always right you're right

01:32:03 - 01:32:07 | Speaker 5:

But Megan, it's only always right. I hate you. Love you.

01:32:09 - 01:32:16 | Speaker 3:

WPQI Detroit. WSNX. Grand Rapids. WVTS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:32:17 - 01:32:18 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

01:32:19 - 01:32:34 | Speaker 3:

Live. Mojo. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Ignition sequence start. Let me take y'all back to the beginning. This is it.

01:32:34 - 01:32:35 | Speaker 2:

All right, are you ready?

01:32:36 - 01:32:38 | Speaker 3:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

01:32:38 - 01:32:39 | Speaker 2:

You're a doo-doo hat.

01:32:43 - 01:32:44 | Speaker 5:

Let's go.

01:32:44 - 01:32:45 | Unknown:

It's showtime.

01:32:45 - 01:33:05 | Speaker 2:

All right, good morning. It is Mojo in the Morning Show. Nice to have you guys here. So we were talking about how our friends over at House of Hummus, good friends of the Mojo in the Morning Show. Actually, Lydia is going to be out at a House of Hummus location. Where are you going to be, Lydia?

01:33:05 - 01:33:08 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to be on Van Dyke, just south of 14 Mile.

01:33:08 - 01:33:13 | Speaker 2:

Okay, and that is House of Hummus on Saturday before the game?

01:33:13 - 01:33:16 | Speaker 1:

Yes, House of Hummus Warren. It's their grand opening. What time? 12 to 2.

01:33:16 - 01:33:17 | Speaker 2:

12 to 2.

01:33:18 - 01:33:22 | Speaker 4:

Get them catering for the game. It's so good.

01:33:22 - 01:34:22 | Speaker 2:

So listen, House of Hummus came through for us. they want to give us money to be able to give away a gift card so that you could go buy, if you wanted to, tickets to go see the Lions play on Saturday night. So this is actually kind of a cool thing that they're giving this to us. And we came up with the idea since everybody's all excited about the Lions. And I think that Amaranth St. Brown, pro bowler, superstar wide receiver, probably the best in the game. he is so famous for in that green bay game up in uh lambo after a touchdown to do the headstand the way he did we want to do a lion's headstand contest but we were going back and forth on this i think that we should do headstand handstand and allow both okay only because i will say this to you somebody brought up a really good point he had a helmet on when he was doing the damn thing And I got to be honest, I just allows you to balance a little bit better. I just don't want anybody like to hurt themselves.

01:34:22 - 01:34:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:34:23 - 01:34:28 | Speaker 2:

But I do think it would be kind of fun just to see how long and who would be the longest of doing it.

01:34:28 - 01:34:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:34:28 - 01:34:43 | Speaker 2:

You know, of getting up there and doing the thing. So do question, could you do a headstand? Is there anybody that can do a headstand? And if not, can you do a handstand? And how long can you do a handstand? Like, what's the longest that could you did yoga, right? You're a yoga person, man.

01:34:43 - 01:34:46 | Speaker 4:

Back in the day, I could do it for a long time. I don't know if I could anymore.

01:34:46 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 2:

Wasn't that a yoga thing where they would do? I never understood that. I remember taking a yoga class one time, Raina's class over there. And I remember she would go, we're going to do a headstand. I'm like, I'm out. I like tapping. There's no way I'm doing this whole thing.

01:34:59 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 4:

I thought you'd do one once or twice again.

01:35:00 - 01:35:12 | Speaker 1:

No, I did. Well, that was the thing. And then I'm up on the thing doing it and my arms are shaking and I'm freaking out. Could you do, could any of you guys do a headstand at all? You can do a head headstand?

01:35:12 - 01:35:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I was a gymnast.

01:35:13 - 01:35:17 | Speaker 1:

Really? Could you think you could do it now? Probably not, no. No?

01:35:17 - 01:35:24 | Speaker 4:

I used to be able to do backflips too. I'm definitely not whipping one of those bad boys out. I don't even know if I could cartwheel anymore.

01:35:24 - 01:35:27 | Speaker 1:

Does it hurt your head when you do the thing?

01:35:27 - 01:35:37 | Speaker 4:

I was on a spring floor, so nothing really hurt on a spring floor. So no, but I would say, like, if we were here on the cement, yeah, that would be a dumb idea. That would be terrible.

01:35:37 - 01:35:41 | Speaker 1:

What kind of floor do we have to do this on? Like, do we have to get somebody's gym mats? Like, do we have to go?

01:35:41 - 01:35:46 | Speaker 3:

I feel like I have friends that have gym mats. We can make that happen. When are we doing this, though?

01:35:46 - 01:35:48 | Speaker 1:

We've got to do it before Saturday.

01:35:48 - 01:35:49 | Speaker 3:

Let's do it on Friday. Friday.

01:35:49 - 01:35:50 | Speaker 1:

So Friday morning?

01:35:50 - 01:35:50 | Speaker 3:

Okay, here.

01:35:51 - 01:35:56 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So are we doing it here at the radio station, Lydia, or should we do it at a gym? Should we see if there's a...

01:35:56 - 01:35:57 | Speaker 4:

I mean, we can do it at a gym if you want.

01:35:57 - 01:36:12 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. I'm just wondering if, like, where would it be easier to do this thing? Is there, like, a gymnastics place or something like that that would help us with this whole deal? I don't know. I don't know what would be the easiest. He did it, you know, at Lambeau on grass. So, I mean, this guy is unbelievable.

01:36:12 - 01:36:17 | Speaker 3:

I feel like we could do it in that area out there of the new studio and if we just get some mats.

01:36:17 - 01:36:23 | Speaker 1:

I don't even like walking in that area. You think people could do it on mats in there? Really? It's cold as hell out there, though, too.

01:36:23 - 01:36:25 | Speaker 3:

How bad do you want the tickets?

01:36:25 - 01:36:49 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, you're right. Is there anybody that would be willing to do this ring for Lions tickets? I will tell you this. There's a lot of things that I would do for Lions tickets. This one would be like, I don't know if I could do it. And I'm not trying to get people to not want to be in this contest, but you'd really have to be a fan. Like, I think I would shave my head or paint my hair blue like, you know, Abarance has, you know.

01:36:49 - 01:36:54 | Speaker 3:

So the deal is we'll bring everybody in and then time whomever is the longest.

01:36:55 - 01:36:55 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

01:36:55 - 01:36:58 | Speaker 3:

Right. Last, last, last head standing.

01:37:00 - 01:37:18 | Speaker 1:

I think so. I think that's like, or the person that, yeah, that goes the longest. What's going on, Allie? Hi. We got to make contest rules on this one too, Lydia, because obviously I have no idea like what the, you know, I know how a football game goes, four quarters, you know. What's up, Allie? You there?

01:37:19 - 01:37:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm here. I am wondering if we would be allowed to walk on our hands. I was a gymnast, and a headstand, for as long as I could hold it for, would start to hurt my head. But if I can walk on my hands, I can do it for a long time.

01:37:35 - 01:37:43 | Speaker 1:

So you're saying walking on your hands. I think that it has to be you've got to stand in place, though. Like, I don't want you. I don't know. I think you've got to be, like, in place.

01:37:44 - 01:37:49 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that definitely makes it more difficult. I feel like people would opt for the headstand then.

01:37:49 - 01:37:55 | Speaker 1:

so the headstand is a headstand easier you say than doing a hand than doing a handstand

01:37:55 - 01:38:17 | Speaker 5:

I don't know I some people have like really really good balance and core strength to be able to stand for a long time on their hands without walking yeah I probably I can't do it as long like I definitely could do it for a little bit but I probably would opt for the headstand because I could I think I could do that longer and I would endure the pain in my head for the

01:38:17 - 01:38:29 | Speaker 4:

lines take it yeah if they allowed movement though with uh the handstands if you can relieve that pressure off your wrist i used to be able to do it for ever really like 10 minutes god

01:38:29 - 01:38:40 | Speaker 5:

there used to be like handstand contests at the end of gymnastics meets and they'd go on for i mean people could be up there for more than five minutes you'd actually try to hit other girls over

01:38:40 - 01:38:45 | Speaker 4:

to end the contest yeah yeah all right so we got we got to put that into our contest rules we got

01:38:45 - 01:38:45 | Speaker 3:

We're going to figure that out.

01:38:45 - 01:38:56 | Speaker 1:

We're going to figure this out. Hang on one second, Allie, because if you want to be in this contest, this might be an interesting one for you. Aaron, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Would you want to try to win these tickets, the Go See the Lions, courtesy of House of Hummus?

01:38:56 - 01:39:00 | Speaker 2:

I absolutely would love to do that. Yes.

01:39:00 - 01:39:01 | Speaker 3:

Can you do a headstand?

01:39:02 - 01:39:07 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I've been working out for some time, and I'm going to be practicing for the next three days.

01:39:07 - 01:39:07 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:39:08 - 01:39:20 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I'm going to tell you something right now. This is definitely not a contest for fat guys like me. how about a buffalo wing eating contest hang on one second Siobhan are you there Siobhan

01:39:20 - 01:39:22 | Speaker 6:

I am

01:39:22 - 01:39:29 | Speaker 1:

I think I would rather swim in a thing of House of Hummus than do this contest but you want to do this thing

01:39:29 - 01:39:37 | Speaker 6:

I would do the headstand I can do that for five minutes plus oh that's impressive

01:39:37 - 01:39:39 | Speaker 1:

you can do that for five minutes plus

01:39:39 - 01:39:42 | Speaker 6:

the headstand not hand

01:39:42 - 01:39:47 | Speaker 1:

head yeah what do you do for a living that you're able to do this i used to be a cheerleader back

01:39:47 - 01:39:52 | Speaker 6:

in the day but i can i do i have four kids and we're doing it all the time so put me in oh my

01:39:52 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 1:

god man you still kept that uh that cheerleader weight then to be able to do something like this i did wow all right siobhan hang on

01:40:00 - 01:40:05 | Speaker 3:

We're going to get you in this contest. Hold on one second. These people are crazy. We've got athletic listeners. What's up, Jessica? How are you doing?

01:40:06 - 01:40:08 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Good morning, guys.

01:40:08 - 01:40:15 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's happening? Would you like to possibly win a nice amount of a gift card? How much is the gift card again for, Lydia?

01:40:16 - 01:40:16 | Speaker 1:

$1,500.

01:40:16 - 01:40:22 | Speaker 3:

$1,500 gift card to go buy your tickets on the Ticketmaster Exchange for Saturday's game. What's up?

01:40:23 - 01:40:41 | Speaker 1:

I would love to. My husband is a huge fan and has made me a fan. But I was just calling to say that I am not a gymnast, never was, and a headstand is much easier to do than a handstand, and I would love to try it. I used to be able to do it when I was younger. I don't know if I can anymore, but I'd try it. Hey, you've got a few days of practice.

01:40:42 - 01:40:45 | Speaker 3:

So do you think we should do a headstand or handstands then? Should we just make it to one?

01:40:46 - 01:40:48 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I don't know.

01:40:48 - 01:40:52 | Speaker 2:

I think it's got to be at least a headstand. Just to make it fair, I guess.

01:40:52 - 01:40:53 | Speaker 3:

The headstand is what he did.

01:40:54 - 01:40:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he did a headstand. Now, he didn't use his arms, which is crazy to me.

01:40:59 - 01:40:59 | Speaker 3:

To get up?

01:41:00 - 01:41:04 | Speaker 2:

No, I'm saying, like, once he was up, he had his arms up at his side. I know. I don't know how the hell he did that.

01:41:05 - 01:41:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:41:05 - 01:41:13 | Speaker 2:

I feel like we should have been very long. Right. So that's what I'm saying. I feel like we should allow you. It has to be a headstand, but we allow you to use your arms.

01:41:13 - 01:41:27 | Speaker 3:

He did also. Did you see how he popped up on his feet? Which was amazing after he did that. That was pretty crazy. Shawnee, what's up, Shawnee? It's Mojo in the morning. You big Lions fan? I am a big Lions fan, yes. So, Shawnee, would you like to be part of this contest?

01:41:28 - 01:41:31 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I did handstands over the weekend, so I can definitely do it this week.

01:41:32 - 01:41:34 | Speaker 3:

Hey, now, where were you? Is this a romantic thing?

01:41:36 - 01:41:37 | Speaker 4:

No, I just take fitness classes.

01:41:37 - 01:41:41 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you take fitness. What fitness classes? Orange Theory? Those people are crazy in that.

01:41:43 - 01:41:44 | Speaker 4:

Not that kind of fitness class.

01:41:44 - 01:41:51 | Speaker 3:

No. Okay. So you guys have a fit. Wait, what kind of fitness class does handstands and headstands?

01:41:51 - 01:41:51 | Speaker 2:

Like a yoga class?

01:41:51 - 01:41:52 | Speaker 4:

Like an adult fitness class.

01:41:53 - 01:41:56 | Speaker 3:

Okay. So not Zumba?

01:41:56 - 01:42:01 | Speaker 2:

Were you just confused? Having fun bedroom activities? Is that what you're calling fitness class?

01:42:01 - 01:42:06 | Speaker 4:

Like there's a pole involved. Oh! Why don't you take pole class? Yes.

01:42:07 - 01:42:11 | Speaker 3:

All right. No leaning against the pole, though, Shawnee. We don't want that happening.

01:42:11 - 01:42:11 | Speaker 4:

That's fine.

01:42:12 - 01:43:03 | Speaker 3:

That's fine. All right. Hang on one second, okay? This is amazing. Sure. How come there's no guys named Gus that have entered this contest so far? I'm looking for, like, I want a guy. I want a guy like, hey, Mojo, this is Gus. the pipe fitter. I want to do this contest. There's going to be, by the way, the most physically fit people in this section for this contest because of how House of Hummus is doing this thing with us. Alright, get in touch with Lydia if you want to be part of this contest. Friday morning is when we're going to do it and we're going to be giving away a $1,500 gift card so that you can buy tickets to Saturday's game. The Lions vs. the Washington Commanders. It is going to be on. Prime time, Saturday night. So get ready for that. All right. It is the Mojo in the Morning show. Shannon and the sentimental, very sentimental nail clippers.

01:43:04 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Yes. That's, that is what this is about. So yesterday there, actually it was the day before yesterday that this happened. I walked into my bathroom after work and there was a pair of like kids nail clippers on my bathroom counter. and it honestly looked to me like something that Smith had when he was a baby and kept in the depths of the crap that he keeps in his room and it they like magically reappeared you know and he started using them and it also looked like my dog had chewed them up like they were clearly baby nail clippers but they had bite marks all over them so I'm thinking I don't even know what what the heck where this came from. And I tossed him in the garbage. Fast forward to yesterday and Wes and I are like getting ready at the end of the night to go to bed. And he was like, where are my nail clippers? And I'm thinking, are you freaking serious? And so I said, oh my God, I didn't realize those were yours. I thought they were Smith's. And it looked like the dog had chewed him. So I threw him in the garbage. You guys, I thought he was going to start crying. He freaked out it turns out that they were his kids when they were little and wes has kept them all these years and still used them oh for himself so they were a super sentimental item for wes and i'm like dude and you had never seen them before that no he keeps like one of those i don't know what you call it like a man travel bag okay full of all of his like deodorant his razor his hair balm whatever all of that stuff like in a bag so i see him carry the bag around i have never in my life noticed these nail clippers before and so i said he's like please tell me you didn't throw them away i'm like i threw them away i thought they were garbage there's me last night in the cold digging through the trash bags

01:45:00 - 01:45:14 | Speaker 4:

garbage to try to figure out which one these nail clippers are in how often are you going to use this against him like every time there's trash you're like what's the attachment to this paper plate well seriously but i did not know that there was such a thing as sentimental nail clippers but

01:45:14 - 01:45:19 | Speaker 1:

you have to admit though that that's kind of a that's an amazing story if this was for smith or

01:45:19 - 01:45:38 | Speaker 4:

lucy you would have felt the same no i get it i i truly felt bad i had no idea but i'm like dude these are like raggedy they're on their last leg is there a point where it goes too far ever though Because I know a girl who kept all of her kids' teeth. And that, to me, like, sentimental and weird. The Tooth Fairy leaves some teeth at our house for us to keep every once in a while.

01:45:38 - 01:45:47 | Speaker 1:

Chelsea has, like, the kids' boxes for each of the kids. Yes, with hair. With different things. Like, we have literally the umbilical cord attachment that was there.

01:45:47 - 01:45:48 | Speaker 4:

I have the scissors.

01:45:48 - 01:45:55 | Speaker 1:

And then we have the little thing that was on their leg, on their foot, that said the hospital and stuff like that.

01:45:56 - 01:46:00 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, I have all that. So that's what I'm saying. I get it. Yeah. But as I'm going through the garbage.

01:46:00 - 01:46:01 | Speaker 1:

And hair. We have hair.

01:46:01 - 01:46:07 | Speaker 4:

And why don't you keep the little snot sucker upper thingy? And why don't you keep. I probably have the one from the hospital. The little itty bitty one.

01:46:09 - 01:46:41 | Speaker 1:

844 Mojo Live. 844-665-6548. Two things. What is it, the weirdest thing that you've kept as sentimental thing? And then has anybody ever thrown that away or accidentally lost it? Like they lost something that was really sentimental to them. Because here's, I mean, first off, he's a great dad. We all see how great of a dad Wes is. But this is something that as a dad, you don't really get a lot of sentimental things to keep. It's usually the moms that keep all this stuff or they're the ones that kind of keep this stuff together. So for him, this is cool that he still wants this thing. And it's actually good that you guys were able to still find it.

01:46:41 - 01:46:42 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

01:46:42 - 01:46:43 | Speaker 1:

Can you imagine if Garbage Day was going away?

01:46:43 - 01:46:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:46:44 - 01:46:59 | Speaker 1:

And it ended up going away? Yes. Texter here says, this is cute. And Texter here says that they kept their kids bite marks and they would keep pencils and pens and things like that.

01:46:59 - 01:47:07 | Speaker 4:

OK, so that's what this was because I asked him what the bite marks were and he said they were it was from the kids. And so that was part of like the sentiment, you know, of this.

01:47:07 - 01:47:09 | Speaker 1:

But Samantha, what's going on? Hi.

01:47:10 - 01:47:10 | Speaker 5:

Hi.

01:47:10 - 01:47:11 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Samantha?

01:47:12 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 5:

I did the same thing. I kept my kids in bell support. I kept a little blood pressure cup that they put on them. I even went as far as keeping my kids' Band-Aids from their first shop.

01:47:22 - 01:47:24 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh, the Band-Aids. See that?

01:47:25 - 01:47:38 | Speaker 5:

And I have, like Shannon, I have the little box for each one of my three kids, and each one of them has their own little, all their stuff in it, and they have the outfits from each one of their first holidays in there, so that way they can use them for when they have kids.

01:47:38 - 01:47:52 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's cool. I think that's cute. That's awesome. Risa, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi. Hi. First time, long time. Hey, Risa's on the phone. Kevin's out sick today, so we're out taking a personal date. What's going on?

01:47:53 - 01:48:40 | Speaker 2:

No. So when I first moved from my mother's house, she gave me, like, some of her knives and all kinds of things like that. So she gave me this one knife, and I used to cut everything with it. One day I was cutting a birthday cake with it, threw the whole box away, the cake was done, looked for my knife, it was gone. Aww. cake box and i literally cried because i had it ever since i was a teenager and i am now 50 something years old and i really loved it that much a knife it was so jagged pieces were missing and everything but that was my knife don't touch my knife i know i could cut like

01:48:40 - 01:48:46 | Speaker 1:

nobody's business with that knife man i love that uh what's up stacy what's going on

01:48:47 - 01:49:14 | Speaker 6:

Hey, my brother lost a tooth once, and we couldn't find it. Well, turns out my mom had put it in a Ziploc bag to keep it. And then one day back in the 90s, when my mom would make sandwiches and pack our lunches for him, I found the tooth in my sandwich. No, you did. I did. True story. Oh, my goodness.

01:49:14 - 01:49:15 | Speaker 1:

That's funny.

01:49:15 - 01:49:17 | Speaker 6:

90 stories. It's so great. That's great.

01:49:17 - 01:49:22 | Speaker 1:

Mom used the same bag to pack your sandwich. What's going on, Lauren? How you doing?

01:49:23 - 01:49:26 | Speaker 3:

Hi, good morning. How are you guys? Good morning.

01:49:26 - 01:49:29 | Speaker 1:

Lauren accidentally threw away something sentimental. What'd you throw away?

01:49:30 - 01:49:56 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. So after we got home from the hospital, you know, new mom brain going on. And I threw away a folder from the hospital that had my daughter's first footprints in it. And I about lost it. So my husband, God bless him, spent an hour digging through the big garbage bin that you, like, put out to the road. Oh, yeah. He dug through that whole thing until he found what it did. And I was so happy.

01:49:56 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 1:

You need to take that stuff and, like, frame it or scan it or do something.

01:50:00 - 01:50:07 | Speaker 4:

the baby book yeah but also take a picture of him going through the garbage yeah okay what's

01:50:07 - 01:50:40 | Speaker 6:

happening it's mojo in the morning what's going on morning i i think my husband does this all the time to me and it's sentimental stuff every time uh one time it sounds weird but i had saved a doorknob from my dad's business after he passed away and i was gonna do something with it or do a treasure chest or something gone he threw it out and then uh same with uh after my dad's funeral uh my husband ended up throwing away a plant and that was years later and my mom's funeral same

01:50:40 - 01:50:47 | Speaker 2:

thing oh no they looked dead yeah do you think maybe you're a hoarder and that's why he's saying

01:50:47 - 01:51:00 | Speaker 4:

this plants really now my brother has a hoarder of plants so like i do get that but i think you It's time for you to just throw the husband away. Oh, no, I got a good one.

01:51:02 - 01:51:08 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Deontay? How you doing? I'm doing good. How about yourself? Good, Deontay. What did you keep from your kid?

01:51:10 - 01:51:42 | Speaker 1:

Well, before I start, I want to say first time long. All right. What's going on, buddy? Okay, so you know when your kid is first born, they give them that little bracelet and basically tell them how much they weigh and everything like that? Yeah. Yeah, so I still got that little cufflet for his ankle that he wore. That's cute. And I got his outfit that he, the first outfit he wore, I got it framed. So his little outfit and his little braces in a frame in our living room. I love that. You care.

01:51:42 - 01:51:43 | Speaker 2:

I like that stuff.

01:51:43 - 01:51:44 | Speaker 3:

That's the stuff you need to keep for sure.

01:51:44 - 01:51:56 | Speaker 2:

That's awesome. I think it's good. So you're like kind of what, you're like Wes. You're a sentimental kind of guy there. So don't throw that stuff away. Now this is sentimental to save. Nicole, what did you save of your kids?

01:51:57 - 01:52:10 | Speaker 7:

Yes. Well, it's actually my husband forced me to save it. So when you have a son and you get them circumcised, sometimes they put this little plastic ring on the tip of their boy bits. And my husband had me save that. Oh, God. No.

01:52:10 - 01:52:29 | Speaker 5:

No. I don't think I have. You shouldn't have it. And if you have it currently in your home, go find it and throw it away. That's so weird. What are you going to do one day? Your son's going to be a grown man, and he's going through his memory box, right? and he's going to be like, Mom, what is that? And you go, that's the tip of plastic from your penis, child.

01:52:29 - 01:52:31 | Speaker 2:

That's his C-ring, his first C-ring he ever had.

01:52:31 - 01:52:32 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

01:52:34 - 01:52:38 | Speaker 5:

You're just hoarding trauma, future trauma for your child.

01:52:38 - 01:53:28 | Speaker 2:

You say to yourself, hey, mine was that small at one time that I fit through that whole thing. Hopefully it still doesn't fit through that whole thing. All right, so we're giving away cash here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. So we got concert tickets, obviously, post Malone Jelly Roll at 630. Kendrick Lamar and SZA at 9.30. 01:53:29 - 01:53:31 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the mornings, Dirty on the 30s.

01:53:31 - 01:53:38 | Speaker 2:

All right, Shannon's going to get us caught up on the Dirty on the 30s. Shannon, with an update on Lions, also the wildfires and some of the crazy stuff that's happening.

01:53:39 - 01:54:12 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so we were just talking about Amon Ross, St. Brown, and our Lions, well, our way of getting you to the game, I think I have to say. But the home bakery in Rochester, Michigan, the bakery that is giving away a pair of playoff tickets, courtesy of St. Brown himself. They had a line wrapped around the place yesterday as people waited for a chance to buy something and get entered into that raffle. And can you imagine the surprise when Amon Ra himself shows up to check out the cake? We made it. We're here.

01:54:13 - 01:54:15 | Speaker 2:

I thought that was a siren. Is that a person screaming?

01:54:17 - 01:54:19 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. There were police cars there, but...

01:54:19 - 01:54:21 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing. No, it's screaming. Yeah.

01:54:21 - 01:54:21 | Unknown:

Damn.

01:54:23 - 01:54:36 | Speaker 3:

It was really cool. I mean, he grabbed a microphone. He was talking to the crowd. He was taking pictures with people and, of course, got to see his cake. That was his reaction to the cake was the dam. Again, today through Thursday, buy something from the home bakery and get entered for a chance to win those tickets.

01:54:36 - 01:54:44 | Speaker 2:

What that is doing for that business has got to be just amazing. And for him to do that and take that time, you've got to love this guy.

01:54:44 - 01:54:51 | Speaker 3:

A couple of updates on the L.A. wildfires. Last night, Jimmy Kimmel getting very, very emotional.

01:54:52 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 2:

We had 100-mile-per-hour winds fueling this nightmare. As of tonight, the winds are back. I think I speak for all of us.

01:55:00 - 01:55:15 | Speaker 1:

say it has been a sickening shocking awful experience but has also been in a lot of ways a beautiful experience because uh once again we we see our fellow men and women coming together

01:55:15 - 01:56:23 | Speaker 5:

to support each other beyonce's be good foundation has pledged two and a half million dollars to assist families in recovery from the devastation in an instagram post yesterday the foundation announced that pledge to the L.A. Fire Relief Fund. And then also Beyonce announced she has postponed her big January 14th announcement citing respect for those affected by the wildfires. That news comes after weeks and weeks of fan speculation that she was preparing to unveil her Cowboy Carter tour. Mandy Moore and her family, I saw her staying with their buddies Hillary Duff and her husband Matthew Koma after their home was impacted by the L.A. wildfires. We're seeing this a lot with celebrities and just people in general that people are just taking as many in as they possibly can. And then I thought this was really interesting. Do you guys remember Heidi Montag from The Hills? Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt. Heidi. Yes. Do you remember that she had, she released a single like 15 years ago. Well, in the wake of these wildfires and in the wake of Heidi and Spencer completely losing their home, that song, her song Superficial, has shot to the number one spot on the iTunes chart.

01:56:24 - 01:56:43 | Speaker 4:

Okay, thank you so much to everyone. Number one on iTunes charts. Oh, my gosh. Thank you for the overwhelming love and support of my music and really rallying behind us in this devastating time and making it such a blessing. So, thank you.

01:56:43 - 01:56:57 | Speaker 3:

Last night, by the way, during Monday Night Football, they did one of the most emotional tributes where they had all the players on the field. They had Rachel Platten, who sings that song, Fight Song.

01:56:57 - 01:56:57 | Speaker 5:

Oh, Fight Song, yeah.

01:56:57 - 01:57:23 | Speaker 3:

And they showed images from the fires. It got the players, including Sean McVay, the coach of the Rams, like crying on the sidelines. Many of these players and teammates and other people that work for the Rams lost their homes. And some of those pictures were of neighborhoods is where a lot of these guys were living. So it was pretty wild. They actually did a really nice job last night.

01:57:23 - 01:57:25 | Speaker 2:

Tell them to whoever owns the Cardinals.

01:57:25 - 01:57:26 | Speaker 3:

Wasn't that great?

01:57:26 - 01:58:18 | Speaker 5:

They went above and beyond. You know what else I was going to tell you guys? I was watching Inside Edition, like, randomly, because they were telling a story about the Detroit Auto Show, actually. But Edwin Castro, you probably don't even remember that name, but he was the big winner of that historic $2.4 billion Powerball jackpot, like, two or three years ago. He one of the homes that he purchased with those lottery winnings in Malibu was completely lost in the Palisades fire. So they were interviewing him. He spent like four million bucks on that property. He did buy other properties as well. But the home was completely reduced to rubble. A quick dirty story, but a very interesting one. Justin Bieber has unfollowed Usher on Instagram. That's all. but doesn't that raise some eyebrows because usher was technically the one that discovered

01:58:18 - 01:58:33 | Speaker 3:

justin and introduced him to diddy too remember that that unfollow says a million things to me wow how do people notice that it's always blows me away when there's somebody yeah but i

01:58:33 - 01:58:57 | Speaker 5:

applaud those people because i love social media oh i love it and lastly a big congratulations to Brittany Mahomes, she gave birth to her third baby with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' daughter. They named, excuse me, Golden Ray Mahomes. Little Goldie. Oh, my God, I love that name. She arrived on Sunday. So big congrats to them. It's a bye week for the Chiefs, right? Because I know she was induced.

01:58:57 - 01:59:00 | Speaker 3:

Last week was a bye week, so they got to play this week. They're playing it.

01:59:00 - 01:59:00 | Speaker 5:

Oh, shoot.

01:59:00 - 01:59:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so this is going to be interesting to see how a new baby in the house affects.

01:59:05 - 01:59:08 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah, it's interesting. They induced her. Yeah.

01:59:08 - 01:59:10 | Speaker 4:

She's going to have a round schedule. Oh, 100%.

01:59:10 - 01:59:16 | Speaker 5:

Oh, wow. Yeah, yeah. Good for them. For all of today's Dirty Catch-Up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

What are you going to use this money for?

01:59:37 - 01:59:44 | Speaker 4:

uh so one of our bills i have three sons so it's going somewhere with one of our bills

01:59:44 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 3:

well five hundred dollars uh you can use it towards whatever you want uh help pay that rent or mortgage courtesy of the upcoming movie released in theaters this friday called one of them days and it's a movie based on the struggles of paying your rent uh kiki palmer

02:00:00 - 02:00:03 | Speaker 2:

and SZA in that movie. And you got it. Congratulations.

02:00:04 - 02:00:07 | Speaker 3:

Thank you so much, you guys. Oh, we're so excited.

02:00:08 - 02:00:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, we love that you're listening. Hi. Who's that?

02:00:12 - 02:00:13 | Speaker 3:

That's my son, Beckham. Can you say hi?

02:00:14 - 02:00:21 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Beckham. What's up, buddy? How you doing, man? Good day. I like it.

02:00:23 - 02:00:26 | Speaker 3:

He's stealing all my coins right now, so you can tell I need some money.

02:00:28 - 02:00:35 | Speaker 2:

Beckham, have a great day. You have a great day, too, Jordan. We appreciate you so much for listening. We'll be right back with more Mojo in the Morning. Don't go anywhere.

02:00:35 - 02:00:43 | Speaker 1:

Not everyone is good at sneaking around. We're about to prove it. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens at 940 on Mojo in the Morning.

02:00:50 - 02:01:10 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning. is it offensive to have happen to you what happened to producer lydia it's uh mojo in the morning show here so lydia explain uh explain what happened to you um okay so a cousin and i had

02:01:10 - 02:01:54 | Speaker 3:

a falling out a couple months back um and then flash forward we still have not hashed it out but flash forward to about a week ago, she wished a mutual cousin of ours a happy birthday on her story. Now in this story, she did a picture collage and she cropped out two photos of me and then covered another photo that had me in it with balloon. And I don't follow her on Instagram anymore. So someone who follows her screenshotted it and zoomed in on the photo of the balloons covering my face and was like is this you i'm like uh yeah now this is awkward because i don't know what to do about that like do i say something to her that is so rude no i don't follow you

02:01:54 - 02:02:01 | Speaker 2:

yeah so so again you're not talking to them anymore you're no longer talking because

02:02:01 - 02:02:20 | Speaker 3:

will you tell us why or no um yeah so we were supposed to go to the lions game for my birthday but then a couple weeks before that she had done something that I felt was shady and I confronted her on it and she didn't like the way that I confronted her. So then she didn't come with me to the Lions game for my birthday. And I took Bianca.

02:02:20 - 02:02:27 | Speaker 2:

And so she was that upset. She was that upset that she pedied herself to posting and

02:02:27 - 02:02:30 | Speaker 4:

putting balloons over your face.

02:02:31 - 02:02:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you guys, if you see this picture you'll be like, what the hell? You would have thought that I like, told her not to, you know. You can't crop photos. Breathe my air.

02:02:41 - 02:02:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:02:42 - 02:02:47 | Speaker 4:

Cropping is one thing. I'm sorry. The blatant balloons over the face.

02:02:47 - 02:02:54 | Speaker 5:

Well, Lydia, was there any way of getting you out of the photo without covering your face? Or were other people going to be removed as well?

02:02:54 - 02:02:58 | Speaker 3:

Okay. You be the judge because I just sent it to you. Okay. Because I was going to say, use a different photo then.

02:02:58 - 02:03:03 | Speaker 2:

I think, I think cropping, I. Okay. Oh God. That's definitely.

02:03:05 - 02:03:06 | Speaker 3:

That is rude.

02:03:06 - 02:03:08 | Speaker 2:

Because the other person's on the other side.

02:03:08 - 02:03:19 | Speaker 3:

She's in the middle. So the one to the right is the cousin that has beef with me. Why wouldn't you just crop the whole photo? But there's someone else in the middle. You're wishing them a happy birthday. You can just cut out the photo.

02:03:20 - 02:03:24 | Speaker 2:

By the way, these girls are smoking hot. Holy cow. Look at these girls. These are cousins of yours?

02:03:25 - 02:03:25 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

02:03:25 - 02:03:26 | Speaker 5:

Here's a thing. They're beautiful.

02:03:26 - 02:03:29 | Speaker 2:

Cav, if you were here right now, you'd want to see this.

02:03:29 - 02:03:38 | Speaker 5:

Is it rude? Yes. But if your falling out wasn't that long ago, How am I just not supposed to post for my friend's birthday because you're in all the photos?

02:03:39 - 02:03:43 | Speaker 3:

Post it, but just make sure that I'm completely cut out. You don't have to put balloons over my face.

02:03:43 - 02:03:46 | Speaker 4:

I agree. I agree, Lydia. That's really, really, really wrong.

02:03:46 - 02:03:54 | Speaker 3:

So I sent you guys the second photo where it was like a childhood photo that we took. Now, see, I don't- She cut me out of this one, and I thought that was okay. That's fine.

02:03:54 - 02:04:00 | Speaker 4:

I was going to say, that's not bad to me because she zeroed in on, you know, the two people in the picture, but-

02:04:00 - 02:04:20 | Speaker 2:

By the way, I love Chaldean girl drama. I love it. There is nothing better. Can we talk to them on the air? Will you call us if you're listening? I would like to know, cousin, will you give us a little insight into your side of this whole not going to a game thing with Lydia?

02:04:21 - 02:04:33 | Speaker 5:

It's like, I'm just thinking, I have like a friend trio. And if we had a fallout and one of them, their birthday was up in a month, I wouldn't have enough photos of just me and the one friend to post.

02:04:33 - 02:04:37 | Speaker 3:

If you have 15 years of photos, you don't have to post the ones with me in it.

02:04:37 - 02:04:44 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. That I understand, Lydia. I'm saying it's rude. I'm with you on this one. I'm agreeing with you.

02:04:45 - 02:04:55 | Speaker 2:

You know what would be worse than her cutting you out of photos or putting balloons over you in photos? Putting bad pictures of you up. That could be coming next.

02:04:55 - 02:04:57 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that actually would piss me off more than that.

02:04:57 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

I'd rather have the balloons. I'd be upset.

02:05:00 - 02:05:08 | Speaker 3:

844 Mojola. Who's the balloon in that picture? Monica, you were in a similar situation to Lydia. What did you want to say? Hi.

02:05:09 - 02:05:33 | Speaker 4:

Hi. I have the same situation with a cousin. Something that she did to me was very shady. She was like my sister. And she started putting up memes on Facebook and Instagram about how I should be in a straight jacket because i confronted her on what um on what she did oh really so she actually was calling

02:05:33 - 02:05:40 | Speaker 3:

she was putting like crazy memes up saying that you were crazy crazy memes up on facebook and i

02:05:40 - 02:05:53 | Speaker 4:

called her out on it and um like this is someone who was like my sister like she called me her ride or die and um so it's been very contentious yes one thing i think it's super disrespectful for

02:05:53 - 02:06:07 | Speaker 3:

with Lydia. One thing I would like to say is the lone man with testosterone here in the studio here is that guys don't do stuff like this. We don't do the stupid things like memes and cutting people out of pictures. But you also don't do birthday

02:06:07 - 02:06:09 | Speaker 2:

posts for the most part. Very rarely

02:06:09 - 02:06:13 | Speaker 4:

do. And I have a few boys that are so low drama and the girl is... No.

02:06:13 - 02:06:23 | Speaker 3:

We're not drama like this. We just deal with it. Or we try to fight you. You know what I mean? That's our thing. Stephanie wants to comment on this. Stephanie, what'd you want to say?

02:06:24 - 02:06:25 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, this is Hannah.

02:06:26 - 02:06:29 | Speaker 3:

Hannah, I don't know how we... Why would we call you Stephanie then?

02:06:29 - 02:06:42 | Speaker 5:

I have no idea. I called yesterday, but my name is Hannah. I just want to tell Lydia, Lydia, just ignore her. This is her point. I don't know what's going on with my phone. She wants to argue with you, and I know Chaldean fights is not good.

02:06:43 - 02:06:46 | Speaker 3:

Chaldean drama is fantastic. I love Chaldean drama.

02:06:46 - 02:06:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. With girls, sexually is very bad. So, yep.

02:06:53 - 02:07:04 | Speaker 3:

Do you think, though, that we should have her cousins call up the show and we can do, like, a cousin's court where I'll be the judge?

02:07:05 - 02:07:11 | Speaker 5:

You're not going to be able to handle it, Mojo. No, no, no. It's going to be so bad.

02:07:11 - 02:07:20 | Speaker 3:

I would like to be a judge in this court case of cousin's court, and I would like to have all the cousins here, and then we will get everybody together.

02:07:20 - 02:07:23 | Speaker 5:

We're all going to take Lydia's side, though. We love Lydia.

02:07:23 - 02:07:29 | Speaker 3:

No, not necessarily. Lydia could be in the wrong. I'm going to tell you this. I've seen Lydia do things sometimes that are petty.

02:07:30 - 02:07:31 | Speaker 4:

In this situation, I'm not wrong.

02:07:31 - 02:07:35 | Speaker 3:

Okay, well, let me judge. So, cousin, call us up. What's the cousin's name again?

02:07:36 - 02:07:38 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm not going to say her name on the air. She's too shy for that.

02:07:39 - 02:07:46 | Speaker 3:

Okay. All right. Wouldn't that be a fun little bit, though? Cousin's court? It's only Chaldeans that take part in it.

02:07:46 - 02:07:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I think we have a new segment idea.

02:07:49 - 02:08:11 | Speaker 3:

You get a bunch. And for those who don't know what Chaldeans are, Chaldeans are Iraqi Catholics. They're prominent in the Detroit and also San Diego areas. I don't know why, but that's fun. Anytime I go to San Diego, I always run into one of Lydia's cousins out there. But Cousins Court could be a new bid on our show, Lydia. We always look for ideas. What's up, Jared?

02:08:12 - 02:08:15 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Mojo. Yeah. Long time listener.

02:08:15 - 02:08:16 | Speaker 3:

First time caller.

02:08:16 - 02:08:27 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. I've earned it. Hey, man. Lady drama? Hey, no. We don't do it.

02:08:28 - 02:08:29 | Speaker 3:

No. Us guys.

02:08:29 - 02:08:30 | Speaker 6:

It's all.

02:08:30 - 02:08:36 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. We're too mellow. We'll have drama, and then next thing you know, we'll have a drink with somebody.

02:08:37 - 02:08:38 | Speaker 6:

Yes, sir.

02:08:38 - 02:08:40 | Speaker 2:

Y'all will also swing on someone.

02:08:41 - 02:08:42 | Speaker 3:

Well, it's true.

02:08:42 - 02:08:48 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so this to me is like a very passive-aggressive way of the cousin, you know, responding to Lydia.

02:08:48 - 02:08:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:08:49 - 02:09:00 | Speaker 2:

What sort of passive-aggressive things do guys do? Because you said sometimes they can be aggressive and swing and fight. But like, have you ever done anything passive-aggressive towards somebody that you're not caring for right now?

02:09:00 - 02:09:07 | Speaker 3:

We F their girls. No, okay. It's not worth it. No, I'm just kidding. No, we don't. Honestly, guys don't.

02:09:07 - 02:09:08 | Speaker 1:

Y'all are full of it.

02:09:08 - 02:09:11 | Speaker 3:

Guys don't do passive-aggressive drama like this.

02:09:11 - 02:09:19 | Speaker 1:

Yes, they do. I'm sorry. My two favorite people on the entire planet are my dad and my brother. And my brother is one of the pettiest bitches I know. This is such a lie.

02:09:19 - 02:09:30 | Speaker 3:

Your brother is not necessarily a 100% guy, though. He's like, you know, he hangs out with you. Don't say that. That's so rude. He hangs out with you so much that he's lost a little. He needs to hang out with Jared. Right, Jared?

02:09:30 - 02:09:34 | Speaker 6:

No man card. No man card. You got to re-earn it.

02:09:34 - 02:09:46 | Speaker 3:

You got to have, your brother, you're saying, has never been, never been in a situation with a guy that he, you know, you thought that he did something passive-aggressive? No, he just takes it, you know, he just doesn't talk to the person anymore. And that's it.

02:09:47 - 02:09:50 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, we talk a lot of smack and...

02:09:50 - 02:09:50 | Speaker 3:

That's it.

02:09:50 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 6:

We just, whatever, dude. And then move on. And then move on. Yeah, this is girl drama. Right. Thank you, Jared. Thank you. We don't do it. You guys have a good day.

02:10:00 - 02:10:03 | Speaker 1:

Go on. You take care of your work. He's the man's man here. Lighter.

02:10:04 - 02:10:06 | Speaker 2:

The Barnsteins. He sounds like Dan Campbell.

02:10:07 - 02:10:37 | Speaker 1:

If Kevin were here right now, I'm really bummed that I don't have Kevin's representation on a topic like this. Because A, I think Kevin would have liked Lydia's cousins. B, he would admit exactly what you guys are trying to say, that guys have drama too. Guys don't do drama like this. We just don't do it. We just ignore the whole situation. Girls get crazy with their drama. They post it on social media and they try to, you know, get all crazy and stuff. And they try to hurt feelings. Guys don't hurt feelings. What's up, Alicia? Hi.

02:10:38 - 02:10:40 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Good morning, guys. Good morning.

02:10:40 - 02:10:40 | Speaker 1:

Good morning.

02:10:42 - 02:11:02 | Speaker 5:

Okay. So I am, I'm not going to lean in. I'm a Syrian. And, you know, my cousins are like my brothers and sisters. I just think it's so silly that she would even cut her out of the photo to begin with. I mean, you're cousins. Okay. You're fighting. You're going to be friends again. You're going to be cousins again soon. Yeah. You're blind. If you were cousins before the argument, like, you could still be in a picture.

02:11:02 - 02:11:04 | Speaker 2:

There are probably 400 photos she could have chosen from.

02:11:04 - 02:11:10 | Speaker 1:

And there's better stuff to fight about than a stupid, you know, football. You know what I mean?

02:11:11 - 02:11:16 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and even if you're fighting, it's okay if you post a picture and she's still in it. You're still family.

02:11:16 - 02:11:26 | Speaker 1:

Yep. I like this one. 616 says, guys will do all kinds of spitty trades in fantasy football and mess with somebody's fantasy football team.

02:11:26 - 02:11:27 | Speaker 2:

Oh, so that's the passive aggressor.

02:11:27 - 02:11:49 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that is true. You'll, like, trade all your good players to the person that you don't like. That's actually not a bad – okay, so I take back what I said. Guys are, I guess, a little bit petty. They just do it in a different way. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:11:50 - 02:11:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

02:11:52 - 02:12:43 | Speaker 1:

Live. It is time now for Am I the A-Hole on the Mojo in the Morning show. If you would like to get some advice and wondering if you are doing something that might be a-hole-ish, you can get in contact with us. The way that we ask you to do this is we do our talkback on the iHeartRadio app. The only talkback that we have access to on our show is the Channel 955 Detroit talkback. So if you listen to Channel 955 in Detroit on your iHeartRadio app, you'll see that little talkback microphone. You can leave a message for us, and that's how we get the Am I the A-Holes for an opportunity to be able to help you with whatever is going on in your life. Do you guys want to hear today's? All right, here's today's Am I the A-Hole.

02:12:43 - 02:12:48 | Speaker 3:

I haven't told my boyfriend that I'm talking to my ex, but nothing's going on.

02:12:48 - 02:13:04 | Speaker 1:

Oh, are you an a-hole because you are talking to your ex, but you haven't told your boyfriend? Well, I don't know. I want to hear more to the story, don't you? Melanie is her name. Hi, Melanie. Are you there?

02:13:06 - 02:13:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Hey, guys.

02:13:08 - 02:13:15 | Speaker 1:

So expand on this one for a second. So you haven't told your boyfriend that you're talking to your ex?

02:13:17 - 02:13:39 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah, I still talk to my ex. We, like, I don't know, we text at least, like, every week. But my boyfriend gets really jealous about stuff, especially if, like, my exes are brought up. And so I really just don't want to start a fight with him.

02:13:40 - 02:13:46 | Speaker 2:

What are you talking to your ex about? Like, why does that, was that relationship rekindled?

02:13:47 - 02:13:57 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I still really like spending time with him and, you know, if we get coffee or something, but it's just friendly.

02:13:58 - 02:14:02 | Speaker 2:

So not only are you texting him, but you're also hanging out with him and your boyfriend doesn't know.

02:14:02 - 02:14:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah. Every once in a while. I just I don't. Yeah.

02:14:06 - 02:14:20 | Speaker 1:

I think the biggest problem is that he's not comfortable with your ex. So I think that you are an a-hole for not telling him that you're talking to him. You obviously know you're doing something deceitful because you're not saying anything.

02:14:20 - 02:14:21 | Speaker 2:

You're keeping it a secret.

02:14:23 - 02:14:28 | Speaker 4:

But he gets really jealous. And so I would tell him if it didn't matter.

02:14:30 - 02:14:40 | Speaker 2:

So why does he get so jealous? Did something happen with this guy or did something happen in your relationship in the past that makes him uncomfortable with you spending time with him?

02:14:40 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 4:

no he just doesn't like the fact that like if i'm i mean if there's any guy interested in me he gets kind of mad and i'm not saying that my you know ex is interested in me in that way i just you know i he's injured he really like him as a person he's

02:15:00 - 02:15:10 | Speaker 1:

If he's still interested in you, seriously, if he's still talking to you and you're keeping it secret, you think that somehow there is some interest there. Maybe you're interested in him.

02:15:13 - 02:15:20 | Speaker 6:

I mean, I think I'll always have feelings for him, but nothing has happened.

02:15:20 - 02:15:25 | Speaker 7:

See, that's really dangerous to me because to me, that is saying that you are choosing your ex over your current relationship.

02:15:26 - 02:15:29 | Speaker 1:

What do you think, Megan? Do you think she's an a-hole?

02:15:29 - 02:15:36 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, no, I think she's absolutely in the wrong. Unless you have kids together, you shouldn't be talking to exes if you've moved on to new relationships.

02:15:37 - 02:15:38 | Speaker 1:

Chris, what do you think?

02:15:40 - 02:15:45 | Speaker 3:

I think she's a-hole. Always disclose that. You can't, if he finds out, he's not going to trust you again.

02:15:46 - 02:15:46 | Speaker 7:

Absolutely.

02:15:47 - 02:15:55 | Speaker 1:

What is your guess that, Chris, on these guys still possibly doing something with each other? You think it's going to happen?

02:15:56 - 02:16:05 | Speaker 3:

I think it opens things up to a possibility, yeah. I mean, if they have one little fight, then she can just go to the ex, and then, you know, she might not have intentions of doing anything, but.

02:16:05 - 02:16:06 | Speaker 1:

It could happen.

02:16:06 - 02:16:07 | Speaker 3:

But then it's another, and then, boom.

02:16:08 - 02:16:10 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's a good point. What's up, Jeff? How you doing?

02:16:11 - 02:16:12 | Speaker 2:

Good. How you doing, Mojo?

02:16:13 - 02:16:16 | Speaker 1:

Good. Am I the a-hole? Do you think that she's an a-hole?

02:16:17 - 02:16:22 | Speaker 2:

No question. And not only is she an a-hole, she would be a single one if she was my girlfriend.

02:16:22 - 02:16:22 | Speaker 1:

Right.

02:16:23 - 02:16:28 | Speaker 2:

So how do you go behind your boyfriend's back to go talk to your ex? Because you're afraid your boyfriend's going to be mad?

02:16:28 - 02:16:40 | Speaker 1:

there's something going on there yeah i would give him the option of whether or not he you know has anything to say about you still having a relationship with the ex but the fact that you're being deceitful with it you're not even giving him that option and you're making it seem

02:16:40 - 02:16:53 | Speaker 2:

deceptive for sure and not only is she talking to him didn't she say she was having they're hanging out yes yeah yeah yeah no no no see that's no no no that's beyond the line so even though there's

02:16:53 - 02:16:59 | Speaker 1:

no uh and i'll grab vicky for this one vicky you say she's an a-hole too oh definitely it's emotional

02:16:59 - 02:17:10 | Speaker 4:

and mental cheating so you just don't do that especially when you if you love somebody you tell them everything and you definitely definitely don't do that behind their back so even though she

02:17:10 - 02:17:16 | Speaker 1:

says that there's no physical you say that it is still cheating what she's doing oh definitely my

02:17:16 - 02:17:29 | Speaker 4:

cousin did it with my husband oh tell us more uh well my cousin was supposedly talking to my husband and apparently at one point in time when he decided to leave he moved in with her and

02:17:29 - 02:17:34 | Speaker 7:

they've been together since oh my gosh wow and it was a secret to you that they were talking and

02:17:34 - 02:17:39 | Speaker 4:

hanging out yeah she told me they were just talking friends she's my favorite cousin whole

02:17:39 - 02:18:10 | Speaker 1:

nine yards oh okay wow uh amar ellis is on with us right now is that did i pronounce that name right because it was hyphened up higher on the board amaryllis amaryllis oh my gosh you are on me today with this it's not i'm not you i'm it's me i'm like i to me i i didn't do good in phonics or i needed uh i needed i needed to have better classes uh amaryllis uh what do you think

02:18:10 - 02:18:15 | Speaker 5:

yeah she's they're still definitely probably bacon cookies for sure

02:18:15 - 02:18:28 | Speaker 1:

melanie you said no way you can sit here and be that comfortable with your ex still melanie i think you're probably still going to do it if not you you know already have um

02:18:28 - 02:18:37 | Speaker 7:

nothing's happened but but stuff has happened because you're you're in communication with him and you're hanging out with him when you have a partner who is not comfortable with that so that's

02:18:37 - 02:18:44 | Speaker 6:

stuff happening just because he's a jealous guy like i i think people can be friends with their

02:18:44 - 02:18:58 | Speaker 7:

exes i you know what i agree with you i am friends with some of my exes i 100 agree with you but the fact that you're doing i always say anything done in darkness becomes a crack and what you're doing and you're keeping it a secret right so that is a crack in your relationship you're going on dates

02:18:58 - 02:19:16 | Speaker 6:

yeah all right thank you it's just hanging out i i don't know i just don't want to fight with my boyfriend which is why i haven't told him i like her by the way it's good thank you

02:19:16 - 02:19:24 | Speaker 1:

for calling by the way sorry for uh mispronouncing your name desiree yeah hi i wanted to say not only

02:19:24 - 02:19:33 | Speaker 5:

she an a-hole but i think that she probably just needs to choose a different partner if being in touch with your exes is so important to you don't be in a relationship with somebody who doesn't like

02:19:33 - 02:19:39 | Speaker 1:

it melanie is would it be safe to say that you have more passion for your ex than you do for

02:19:39 - 02:19:56 | Speaker 6:

your boyfriend no he's just someone in my life but i don't think i should have to like completely cut off communication with an ex that I still like spending time with just because of my boyfriend.

02:19:56 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 7:

I think that's probably a discussion that you and your boyfriend need to have then versus

02:20:00 - 02:20:03 | Speaker 4:

you just going behind his back and doing everything that you're doing because you are very very clearly

02:20:03 - 02:20:26 | Speaker 2:

making a choice i i think that just the way that you presented it to us and the way that you're presenting it right now with people you know calling you an a-hole i'm telling you i think that there's something wrong about you doing it and i think that you already got your answer uh amanda wants to say something last call what's up amanda i just had a quick question for her how

02:20:26 - 02:20:33 | Speaker 1:

would you feel if your man did that to you with an ex? Like, I would be curious.

02:20:34 - 02:20:37 | Speaker 2:

How would you feel, Melanie, if he did this to you?

02:20:39 - 02:20:49 | Speaker 1:

Well, if I had no reason to be jealous about it and he was clear that nothing was happening, I wouldn't be mad. You say that because you're on the other side of it. You lie.

02:20:50 - 02:20:52 | Speaker 2:

All right. I mean, they're

02:20:52 - 02:20:53 | Speaker 1:

an ex for a reason, right?

02:20:54 - 02:21:37 | Speaker 2:

02:22:23 - 02:22:26 | Speaker 2:

Wow, so $13,000 a day, you have a chance to win.

02:22:26 - 02:22:32 | Speaker 5:

In 15 or less, it's Shannon's Dirty on the 30. But first, coming up on Mojo in the Morning, you'll hear this.

02:22:33 - 02:23:06 | Speaker 2:

I asked this question for a friend, me. Was she flirting? Coming up next on the Mojo in the Morning show, I will explain. We've got Kendrick and SZA tickets coming up, And another chance for you to win a opportunity to go to Saturday's game by winning money to be able to buy the tickets. Coming up in moments, it is that guy that anonymously donated the money to us to be able to send you to the game. We'll go through some of those entries before the end of this hour. So don't go anywhere.

02:23:07 - 02:23:08 | Speaker 5:

The home of the second date update.

02:23:08 - 02:23:09 | Unknown:

Throwback throwdown.

02:23:09 - 02:23:12 | Speaker 5:

War of the Roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:23:15 - 02:23:51 | Speaker 4:

All right, Mojo in the morning fans. Wake up, grab your coffee, and let's get ready to do what we do. Come on. Forward down the field. A charging team that will not yield. And with the blue and silver wave. Let's go. Stand and to the brave. Raw, raw, raw. So hard win the game. With honor, you will keep your fame. Down the field in game. The Lions to talk to me. Go! The Lions! Let's go!

02:23:52 - 02:24:21 | Speaker 2:

Taking on the Washington Commanders on Saturday night. So now it's set. By the way, does Sam Darnold from the Minnesota Vikings look like he won't be back with the Vikings after last night's game? The last two games he came down to, I guess, his level. But it did not look great last night. And Matthew Stafford and the Rams were the winners last night. Thank God we don't have to play those guys.

02:24:21 - 02:24:39 | Speaker 3:

His team ready to go. Made the comment, the league did the right thing in terms of keeping the priority and moving the game out of Englewood here to Arizona. And his team came here ready to play. And the two very good friends get together at midfield.

02:24:39 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Matthew Stafford. By the way, there's also kind of a cryptic message that was posted yesterday by J.J. McCarthy, former Wolverine quarterback, that looked very interesting. He posted something to the effect of Amor Fati.

02:25:00 - 02:25:27 | Speaker 1:

which stands for love of fate or love of one's fate because a lot of people were saying that J.J. McCarthy, who was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings last year, more than likely was going to get traded during the offseason by the Minnesota Vikings because they would keep Sam Darnold, but I don't know if that means he thinks his fate is he'll stay now a Minnesota Viking. That's a passive-aggressive post. That was a little passive-aggressive, wasn't it, for J.J., who usually is not a passive-aggressive kind of guy, I don't think.

02:25:27 - 02:25:29 | Speaker 3:

I thought you said that guys aren't passive-aggressive.

02:25:30 - 02:25:32 | Speaker 1:

Oh, am I going to have to eat my words? I'm going to have to eat my words.

02:25:35 - 02:25:36 | Speaker 3:

Feels so good.

02:25:39 - 02:25:39 | Unknown:

All right.

02:25:41 - 02:25:43 | Speaker 1:

Guys are passive aggressive too.

02:25:43 - 02:25:44 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes.

02:25:44 - 02:25:52 | Speaker 1:

We tweet them. We tweet our words. I'm sorry. And I'm sorry, by the way, that I said that about your brother. Your brother is very manly.

02:25:52 - 02:25:53 | Speaker 3:

It's all good.

02:25:53 - 02:26:15 | Speaker 1:

Your dad is also very manly in his Tommy Bahamas and his Crocs, which I also like to wear. I used to at first when she would make fun of her dad wearing that, I'd go, you know, I can't believe he's wearing that. Now I'm wearing it. Now I actually go, now I understand this fashion. Scott, at a certain point in your life, you just say this is mine.

02:26:15 - 02:26:16 | Speaker 3:

Unfortunate.

02:26:16 - 02:26:17 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to own it.

02:26:17 - 02:26:19 | Speaker 3:

Don't cave. You're better than that.

02:26:19 - 02:26:28 | Speaker 1:

This is AMSR or ASMR radio talking like this. Back to my sports talk here for a second because I don't get to do this very much.

02:26:28 - 02:26:30 | Speaker 3:

Yes, you do it every day.

02:26:30 - 02:27:23 | Speaker 1:

I don't. I really don't. So the Rams now will play the Eagles while we'll play the Washington Commanders. And I don't know what you guys think about this, but I think this Commanders team is as good a team as anybody. And I think that we can't look past them. So I'm hoping that that, you know, the Lions week off gave him rest and doesn't make him rusty. So we are getting ready for an opportunity for you to go to the game. We're giving you opportunities courtesy of great people like this anonymous breaking and entering Christmas wish donor who donated money. And I don't know if you heard him on the air yesterday. If you didn't, you should listen to the podcast. His thing was, the Lions have brought this city together, and what he wants to do is continue with their good, you know, vibes that they have, and he wants to help out somebody that would never get a chance to be able to afford to go to a game.

02:27:23 - 02:27:23 | Speaker 3:

So cool.

02:27:24 - 02:27:25 | Speaker 1:

Did you see what the price of the tickets are?

02:27:25 - 02:27:25 | Speaker 3:

I did.

02:27:26 - 02:28:02 | Speaker 1:

I mean, these, honestly, the average fan can't buy these tickets. It just doesn't happen. When you've got tickets that are on the secondary market, because they all are, tickets that are on the secondary market that I think the cheapest ticket, if I'm not mistaken, was the last I saw. Let me look real quick. The cheapest ticket for the game against the Commanders is pulling up right now. It's $510 for row 10 of section 338.

02:28:02 - 02:28:04 | Speaker 3:

But that's before the $100 service fee.

02:28:05 - 02:28:07 | Speaker 1:

Is that what it is all the time? Per ticket, right, or something?

02:28:07 - 02:28:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's absolute insanity.

02:28:10 - 02:28:26 | Speaker 1:

Let's do two tickets. Two tickets will cost you over, let's see here. I got to release those tickets before I end up having to pay for them. $1,020 for two tickets. So this guy's going to take care of you, okay?

02:28:26 - 02:28:27 | Speaker 3:

Which is awesome. Perfect.

02:28:29 - 02:28:39 | Speaker 1:

Tell us why you want to go. Go to mojoswish.org. Here are some of the people that entered. Andrea would like to nominate her nephew, Brayden. How old is Brayden?

02:28:40 - 02:28:42 | Speaker 2:

Brayden is 15.

02:28:42 - 02:28:45 | Speaker 1:

And tell us why you think Brayden should go to the game.

02:28:47 - 02:29:35 | Speaker 2:

Yes, so my nephew is 15. He's my heart and soul. He will be 16, coming up soon, February 24th. At age four, Braden tragically lost his father, who passed away at 26 years old, my brother. And then shortly after, Braden was diagnosed with something called DeGeorge syndrome. And he's really never allowed that syndrome to define him. He is the kindest human you will ever meet. And then three years ago, Brayden's mother walked out on him and his younger sister, Gracie, who is now 12. Oh, man. Yeah. And since then, my parents are raising him.

02:29:36 - 02:29:46 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so grandma and grandpa. We've got a lot of those situations that are out there, grandma and grandpa having to step up. Brayden sounds like a great kid. He has not had it easy. Where does Brayden go to school?

02:29:46 - 02:29:49 | Speaker 2:

He goes to Riverview High School. All right.

02:29:49 - 02:29:54 | Speaker 1:

And he's doing well in school, despite all the drama that's happening and all the craziness?

02:29:55 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he works very hard. It's very challenging for him, but he's still in mainstream.

02:30:00 - 02:30:03 | Speaker 3:

and he does great. He actually plays on the football team.

02:30:03 - 02:30:05 | Speaker 1:

Good for him. Huge Lions fan?

02:30:07 - 02:30:10 | Speaker 3:

Huge Lions fan, the biggest Lions fan there is.

02:30:10 - 02:30:27 | Speaker 1:

I love this. I can hear the emotion in your voice. Brayden hasn't had it easy. He hasn't had, you know, it's not fair. He should have, you know, life should have been more fair for him. This is only going to make him a stronger kid. That would be an awesome one to win this. So hold on one second. You're now nominated for this, okay?

02:30:28 - 02:30:29 | Speaker 3:

Thank you, Mojo.

02:30:30 - 02:30:31 | Speaker 1:

That's really special. That's really nice of you.

02:30:32 - 02:30:32 | Speaker 3:

I know.

02:30:32 - 02:30:36 | Speaker 1:

Nicole is nominating her daughter. And tell us about your daughter, Nicole.

02:30:38 - 02:31:26 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, everyone. Good morning. My daughter is eight years old. She is a huge Lions fan to the point where for Christmas, she only wanted a Lions pillow, a Lions blanket, and a Lions hoodie. She didn't care about anything else. Love it. which is awesome for a little girl. Every time there's a game on or I wear my Lions hoodie, she's like, Mom, are we going to a Lions game? And I'm like, baby, I wish I could afford to take you to a Lions game. I'm a single mom. We recently just lost Grandpa. We had a funeral on Saturday. I would love to take her mind away from all that and just bring some joy into her life.

02:31:27 - 02:31:28 | Speaker 1:

What's her name?

02:31:29 - 02:31:30 | Speaker 3:

Her name is Renesmee.

02:31:31 - 02:31:32 | Speaker 1:

Renesmee.

02:31:32 - 02:31:33 | Speaker 3:

I've never heard of her name.

02:31:34 - 02:31:43 | Speaker 1:

Renesmee. Renesmee, huge Lions fan, wants the opportunity to go. And you know what? Single mom, we've got to make this possible for you. So we're nominating you too, okay?

02:31:44 - 02:31:46 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my goodness. Thank you so much.

02:31:46 - 02:32:34 | Speaker 1:

All right. So you hang there. You're doing a great job. First off, let me just say this to you. It's so awesome to see something like the Lions be able to take our minds off of a tragic loss like grandpa dying you know that's these guys go out on the field every single week and i know they fight for they fight for their themselves and their team they're fighting for more than just that they're fighting for people just like you and and renezne who's a huge fan uh tiffany last but not least we're gonna and by the way thank you this guy that donated this is the greatest guy in the world he basically said hey this is something that i would love to do to give back and by doing this is going to give two beautiful people an opportunity to put a smile on their face like he said yesterday when he was on our show for four hours or so

02:32:34 - 02:34:06 | Speaker 2:

what's up divany hi mojo hey what's happening i um i well first of all a long time first time we listen to you every morning on the way to school thank you um i kind of have a quick backstory um probably around 2015 um ryan martin who is the father of my children and ashley martin won the mojo baby giveaway and they had twins okay and um this april of 2023 ryan um unexpectedly passed away and so i have a 15 year old son with him and i have a 13 year old daughter and they're doing really well but you know i and i also don't date so i you know i really i don't have man figures around my son too much my grand i have a lot similarities to the other two ladies but um my grandpa who was the father figure in my life passed away a couple years ago um and that was a you know a big loss i lost my job last march i was working there for 23 years I have a new job now, and so we're good. Good. Thank you. You know, just a lot of things, and I try to stay positive. You know, I just try to be the man and the woman for my – I really worry about my son, right, because he misses that father figure. For sure.

02:34:06 - 02:34:23 | Speaker 1:

Well, listen, we got you nominated. Lydia went through these letters and pulled some people aside. She thought that this letter was special enough. She's nominating you, so we're a little closer to this. Awesome. Let's get some good, positive things going. Tell me your 15-year-old's name.

02:34:24 - 02:34:25 | Speaker 2:

Colin.

02:34:25 - 02:34:37 | Speaker 1:

Colin. Love these guys. Brayden, Renesne, Colin. I mean, seriously, God, if we could just, can we add seats to the Ford field? Like, seriously, you know what I mean?

02:34:38 - 02:34:41 | Speaker 2:

We should just have a big standing room only section for Mojo in the Morning listeners. Yes.

02:34:42 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 1:

Can I say this? I talked to a friend yesterday. The guy said this to me. He goes, hey, he goes, I heard that what that guy did by, you know, doing this thing. He said, I think that that's awesome. And I said, God, yeah, isn't that cool? And he goes, yeah, I think it's really cool. And he's right. Put a smile on these people's faces. And I go, well, listen, I said, you're a season ticket holder.

02:35:00 - 02:36:14 | Speaker 3:

He goes, not a chance in hell. And I go, okay, you're not so awesome. But, no, I'm just kidding. He's like, but he said to me, he goes, I thought that what this guy was doing was awesome, but people are wanting to go to this game. We haven't seen a team this good in a long time. Even last year, as good of a team as we were, I never felt confident going into the playoffs. I never thought we'd get to the NFC Championship. And then when we got to the NFC Championship, I didn't think we were going to win it. And we were winning going into halftime. We were destroying that team. I don't think that happens to us this year. I really don't. I think this team puts themselves in a position to win every single game. You see that. And you know what? These people that are on the phone here with us right now, Andrea with her nephew, Braden, Nicole with her daughter, Renesne, and then Tiffany with her son, Colin. that's pretty freaking awesome you know so hey let's pull together guys let's hope for these guys to win if you're somebody that has a story to go to mojos wish.org mojo in the morning breaking and entering christmas wish making it possible for lions fans dan campbell coach of

02:36:14 - 02:36:30 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right. What do we have coming up in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

02:37:15 - 02:39:43 | Speaker 2:

shannon w nba star caitlin clark in the dirty this morning um and not for a good reason the a 55 year old man from texas has been charged with stalking her after she came forward and told police that she's been getting messages that have left her feeling just terrorized this guy's name is michael lewis he was arrested sunday after police traced him to a hotel in indianapolis Court documents say he told officers, this is scary, that he was in an imaginary relationship with Caitlyn. He said it was a fantasy type thing, but it was just a joke. It was just a joke and nothing threatening. Prosecutors say, though, Caitlyn was worried enough that she changed her public appearances and patterns of movement because of this guy. The messages started in mid-December. Some of the messages and posts on X were sexual. They were violent. One of them was just creepy. It said, been driving around your house three times a day. But don't call the law just yet. Hatelyn said she never responded to any of the messages. He is now facing a felony charge that carries a sentence of up to six years in prison. Mac Miller's family going to release a short film to accompany some previously unreleased music that is coming out this month. Actually, Friday, I believe. We talked about this a couple of weeks ago. A lot of fans not super happy that this this music and now a film is dropping. Do you guys know, by the way, it's been almost eight years since he died. No. He died in 2018, September of 2018, yeah. But Balloonarism, a film based on the album by Mac Miller, will be released this week with screenings in the U.S. on Wednesday. The screenings only happening in New York City and in Mac's hometown of Pittsburgh. Now, the proceeds benefiting the Mac Miller Fund, which supports resources for youth and underserved communities. But the film's release will be followed by the debut of Mac's posthumous album, Balloonarism, which I was right on Friday. Remember when Ellen DeGeneres said she was moving to England and she was not coming back after Donald Trump's election win? What? Well, guess who was spotted walking around Montecito, California this weekend? Oh, boy. Ellen DeGeneres. She was visiting Casa Dorinda, which is a really luxurious retirement community. I don't know who she was visiting. It's possibly her wife's mom who may have moved to that retirement community.

02:39:43 - 02:39:45 | Speaker 3:

Would it be funny if she moved to a retirement community?

02:39:45 - 02:39:49 | Speaker 2:

Well, it would be her mother-in-law, technically, who she was visiting.

02:39:49 - 02:39:53 | Speaker 3:

Ellen, though, is kind of off television for a while off the grid, so she's in a retirement home.

02:39:53 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 2:

Of course, you know, the paparazzi caught her, and they were like, she said she was never coming back, but she's back. And lastly, NFL fans noticed something dirty.

02:40:00 - 02:40:44 | Speaker 1:

the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday afternoon playoff game against the Packers. And that was wide receiver A.J. Brown flipping through the pages of a book, specifically the self-help book Inner Excellence by Jim Murphy, who is a mental skills coach to a plethora of athletes. By yesterday morning, you guys, that book was the number one bestseller of all books on Amazon. And from what I'm told, Brown reads it at every single game. the sidelines he uses it to lock in and refocus no matter what is happening on the field he just loves to read that is his book in fact his teammates call his this book the recipe because he leans on it so hard for mental guidance but yeah it's the number one book right now on amazon

02:40:44 - 02:40:51 | Speaker 2:

somebody told me of a player and i think it was an nba player that brought the bible with them and had the bible on the side on the sidelines yeah i thought that was pretty wild yeah yeah

02:40:51 - 02:40:58 | Speaker 1:

mine would be midnight sun what's that which one the first book of the twilight series written from

02:40:58 - 02:40:59 | Speaker 2:

From Edward's perspective.

02:40:59 - 02:41:00 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Lord.

02:41:01 - 02:41:09 | Speaker 2:

All right. By the way, if you're a benchwarmer that never gets in the game, do you bring, like, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone or something like that?

02:41:09 - 02:41:14 | Speaker 1:

A big fickle. For all of today's Dirty Catch-Up on the podcast, on the free iHeartRadio app or Mojo in the Morning Blackhound.

02:41:14 - 02:41:19 | Speaker 3:

Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source, is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:41:20 - 02:41:53 | Speaker 2:

I'm glad that Lydia in Detroit was just doing the House of Hummus commercial. She's going to be out at House of Hummus on Saturday before the big Lions game. But we are giving away $1,500 gift card to be able to go and buy tickets to Saturday's game, the Lions against the Commanders in the playoffs at Ford Field. and we're going to do a headstand contest, an Amaran St. Brown handstand contest.

02:41:54 - 02:41:54 | Speaker 1:

Headstand.

02:41:54 - 02:42:00 | Speaker 2:

Headstand contest. Big difference. Yeah. So do we decide on it just being head?

02:42:00 - 02:42:07 | Speaker 1:

I think so. I think because that's exactly what he did. I feel like it's got to be exactly what he did. Plus there's too much discrepancy if one person does one thing.

02:42:08 - 02:42:18 | Speaker 2:

All right. So it's a headstand. So just a headstand. If you are somebody that can do this, Listen, because before the end of the show, we're going to get you qualified for that. All right? War of the Roses right now.

02:42:18 - 02:42:24 | Speaker 3:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:42:25 - 02:42:31 | Speaker 2:

Austin thinks that his boyfriend is cheating on him. Austin, why is that? Why do you feel that way?

02:42:32 - 02:42:35 | Speaker 4:

He's just being weird.

02:42:36 - 02:42:38 | Speaker 2:

How is he being weird? What's he doing?

02:42:38 - 02:42:54 | Speaker 4:

well he's been using snapchat a lot i know and i i looked into his phone like i know i shouldn't have done it i opened his phone and he's using snapchat frequently but also he's got this

02:42:54 - 02:43:02 | Speaker 1:

grinder account and there's like very many recent messages why is he on grinder you guys are in a

02:43:02 - 02:43:09 | Speaker 4:

relationship well yeah i mean i don't know why he's on grinder and you don't have an open

02:43:09 - 02:43:17 | Speaker 1:

relationship you're exclusively monogamous no we are we are monogamous maybe he just unactivated

02:43:17 - 02:43:28 | Speaker 2:

or did not activate or did not deactivate his account but if it but he said if it's like still going like if he's still getting messages can you tell if he's active on it or is he just actively

02:43:28 - 02:43:35 | Speaker 4:

getting people interested in him no it seems like he's active on it so did you ask him about that

02:43:35 - 02:43:49 | Speaker 2:

i haven't been candid with him about it so you've been wanting just to investigate it a little bit more before you bring it up to him and this is kind of where we come into play well yeah and

02:43:49 - 02:43:57 | Speaker 4:

i mean this is kind of the crucial piece of evidence for me but he's been keeping lube in his overnight bag.

02:43:58 - 02:44:00 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Y'all use lube?

02:44:01 - 02:44:08 | Speaker 4:

We do, but I don't know why we wouldn't just use the lube that I have in my apartment. It's like, we don't go on trips. We live together, so...

02:44:08 - 02:44:18 | Speaker 2:

So you guys don't... You guys do live together, but the overnight bag is for when he's out of town or staying away from you?

02:44:20 - 02:44:22 | Speaker 4:

He goes and works out with that bag all the time.

02:44:22 - 02:44:27 | Speaker 2:

So he's using that bag often? Right. That would make me feel.

02:44:28 - 02:44:28 | Speaker 1:

Absolutely.

02:44:28 - 02:44:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. All right. So we're going to call him up to do a War of the Roses. Are we offering flowers? Or what do we think? Do we think that he's the type of guy that would send flowers? Maybe lube. I am not asking about lube. Do you think that your boyfriend is the type of guy that if we offered or did a thing where we were offering free roses, he might be interested? He would send you flowers? Does he send you flowers?

02:45:00 - 02:45:02 | Speaker 3:

Well, if it's free, he would do it.

02:45:03 - 02:45:20 | Speaker 1:

Okay. So he's a free kind of guy. Well, let's see what happens. We're going to call him up to see where he's going to send a dozen free roses, and we're hoping that he sends them to you, Austin. This is the Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses. Mute your phone so he doesn't become suspicious and hear somebody else on the line.

02:45:21 - 02:45:21 | Speaker 2:

What's his name?

02:45:22 - 02:45:29 | Speaker 1:

Malcolm. Actually, Malcolm. So you have his last name and everything, too.

02:45:29 - 02:45:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I see it.

02:45:31 - 02:45:32 | Speaker 1:

All right. Here we go.

02:45:43 - 02:45:43 | Speaker 3:

Hello?

02:45:44 - 02:45:46 | Speaker 2:

Hi, I'm looking for Malcolm.

02:45:48 - 02:45:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, who's this?

02:45:50 - 02:46:03 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Malcolm. My name is Nicole, and I'm calling you from a new internet floral company called rosesbloom.com with an offer for some free flowers. Do you have, like, 30 seconds to answer some survey questions in exchange for a dozen long-stemmed red roses?

02:46:05 - 02:46:12 | Speaker 3:

A minute tops. I mean, I don't know. I'm kind of stressed for cash. I can't really afford anything like that. I'm sorry.

02:46:12 - 02:46:18 | Speaker 2:

No, it's okay. It's totally free, though. Totally free. Not going to ask you for credit card information. Nothing like that.

02:46:20 - 02:46:21 | Speaker 3:

Okay, not at all?

02:46:22 - 02:46:34 | Speaker 2:

Not at all. Nope. It's just you answer two survey questions, and we're going to send the flowers to whomever you'd like. And then hopefully in the future, you'll use rosesbloom.com instead of any sort of company that you've used in the past.

02:46:34 - 02:46:35 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:46:36 - 02:46:39 | Speaker 2:

Okay, Malcolm, have you purchased flowers in the past six months?

02:46:40 - 02:46:40 | Speaker 3:

No.

02:46:41 - 02:46:44 | Speaker 2:

Okay, do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months?

02:46:46 - 02:46:48 | Speaker 3:

Not really, but depending on how this goes, maybe.

02:46:49 - 02:47:09 | Speaker 2:

Okay. as a thank you for participating in that survey roses bloom.com is now authorized to provide you with a dozen long stemmed red roses again that's what you're getting and so I'm going to go ahead and get some information from you in terms of who these are going to go to and they they will go out later on today all right so I need a first and a last name and it could be anywhere it could be

02:47:09 - 02:47:16 | Speaker 3:

out of state it could be here okay it was not too far from here but we'll do uh julia

02:47:16 - 02:47:25 | Speaker 2:

okay uh and uh i need a telephone number for julia

02:47:25 - 02:47:37 | Speaker 3:

phone number okay uh give me a second let me find it okay uh okay six one six

02:47:37 - 02:48:32 | Speaker 2:

mm-hmm okay and what is julia's relationship to you she's a friend okay and just confirming a dozen long stemmed red roses is okay yeah that'll be great okay Malcolm we do something unique at rosesbloom.com, and instead of sending a paper card with the flowers, I'm going to have you record a voice memo. And so when the flowers get delivered, Julia will get a text alerting her she has a delivery, and then she'll see this voice memo pop up, and she'll be able to play it and know who the flowers are from. All right? Okay, so I'm going to count you down, and then you can say whatever you want. You can make it long, short, it doesn't matter. Okay. Here we go. Three, two, one.

02:48:35 - 02:48:44 | Speaker 3:

Hey, I know times have been dark, but I promise they'll get better. Here's a gift for you.

02:48:46 - 02:48:54 | Speaker 2:

Okay. And Malcolm, I also have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that?

02:48:55 - 02:48:55 | Speaker 3:

That's fine.

02:48:57 - 02:49:25 | Speaker 1:

Malcolm, I'm going to jump on just to wrap up the call, but I want to make sure that we get everything right before we do. I need to inform you of one last thing, okay? All right. I want to let you know that while you've been sending the flowers off and sending them off to Julia, that there was somebody else that is on the phone with us right now that was hoping that you were going to send the flowers to them.

02:49:29 - 02:49:30 | Speaker 3:

What? Who?

02:49:31 - 02:49:36 | Speaker 1:

Malcolm, your boyfriend Austin is on the phone and was hoping that you were going to send him the flowers.

02:49:38 - 02:49:43 | Speaker 3:

Why would you send her those? Because she's a friend.

02:49:48 - 02:50:00 | Speaker 1:

Malcolm, you sound like you're upset for the way that Austin is accusing you of this. Is this something?

02:50:00 - 02:50:08 | Speaker 2:

thing that he's ever accused you before of of or have you guys had issues okay yes what is it all

02:50:08 - 02:50:19 | Speaker 5:

the time with this person specifically or just in general really just this person austin you

02:50:19 - 02:50:27 | Speaker 3:

you have a problem with uh with this with julia he knows that i have never cared for her

02:50:27 - 02:50:35 | Speaker 5:

but is this girl a threat to your relationship or she just you just don't like her in general

02:50:35 - 02:50:45 | Speaker 3:

i just don't like her so so she's not and i don't i don't know how your guys's relationship is

02:50:45 - 02:50:52 | Speaker 2:

she's not somebody that you would suspect that malcolm is is actually having a sexual relationship

02:50:52 - 02:51:54 | Speaker 3:

with god no i i hope not well what's the lube for what are you talking about austin what what am i talking about malcolm the lube and s**t. Hello? Okay. I don't really see why that's anyone else's business or what that has to do with this. Okay, well, you're my boyfriend. It's certainly my business. I don't know why you would look in my bag. that such an invasion of my privacy. You've been acting weird and I felt justified in doing so. I'm sorry. Just because you felt justified doesn't mean that you were.

02:51:57 - 02:52:19 | Speaker 2:

Here's the thing that I want to just ask you guys just to get cleared up and I'm going to let you guys talk to each other because I think that this is a very private conversation right now that we're listening on. So you don't, Austin, think that Malcolm is cheating with this woman. You just don't like her. But you still, after this, think that there's something going on?

02:52:22 - 02:52:23 | Speaker 3:

I don't know.

02:52:25 - 02:52:29 | Speaker 6:

Okay, but do you think that he's cheating with her? That's the part I'm confused on. No.

02:52:31 - 02:52:35 | Speaker 3:

No, I don't think that he's cheating with her, but I think that there is something up.

02:52:36 - 02:52:47 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to let you guys talk to each other on hold, and then we'll have you guys be able to talk in private, okay?

02:52:48 - 02:53:02 | Speaker 1:

Okay. This is the home of War of the Roses. Mojo in the Morning. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:53:02 - 02:53:03 | Speaker 5:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

02:53:04 - 02:53:04 | Speaker 1:

Live.

02:53:06 - 02:54:06 | Speaker 2:

I don't necessarily think that we caught a cheater.

02:54:06 - 02:54:10 | Speaker 4:

I mean, my friends who are gay send flowers to each other.

02:54:10 - 02:54:48 | Speaker 2:

Right. You know what I mean?

02:54:48 - 02:54:48 | Speaker 4:

Right.

02:54:48 - 02:55:15 | Speaker 2:

Like, my wife would be, because I could see where this could happen. Like, you get jealous of the person and their friendship that they have with them. 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 So first off, I'll give you my thoughts and then you guys can go around. I think that the flowers thing is the reason why he ended up going and giving this to some Julie girl. I wondered if we would have done, hey, where would you want to send a shave kit or something like that? Or I don't know what to do.

02:55:15 - 02:55:18 | Speaker 4:

Or a spa gift card. Or whatever. I guess that. Things that guys like, you know?

02:55:19 - 02:55:29 | Speaker 2:

But I, so I think that's the case. But we actually spurred on not just that this guy's, you know, not comfortable in his relationship because the whole Grindr account thing.

02:55:30 - 02:55:40 | Speaker 3:

but grinder isn't only used for hookups what is it used for you can use it just to meet other like gay men for friends and stuff like that like we all know that that goes uh down a wrong the

02:55:40 - 02:55:59 | Speaker 4:

problem is yeah when it's grinder friends but when it's grinder it was like that was a ding and then the snapchat going all the time to me that was a ding the lube still i don't know if i believe what he said that was a day like all of those things piled on top of each other make me

02:55:59 - 02:56:27 | Speaker 3:

oh something funky's happening i get that i i do and i do think that he's probably up to something but it's hard to be like but people do use the app for other things and snapchat is a relatively popular app where people just talk to their friends and lube can be used by yourself as long as well as other people and if he's traveling for work alone it might be nice to have a little me time like it's just not like cut and dry to me sean you think the grinder uh account is more

02:56:27 - 02:56:30 | Speaker 2:

suspicious than maybe Megan does?

02:56:32 - 02:56:41 | Speaker 5:

Absolutely. Y'all are supposed to hit him with the Grindr account. Y'all let him off too easy. As soon as he said the loop, he started talking about his privacy. Come on, man. He got caught.

02:56:42 - 02:57:01 | Speaker 2:

We probably should have gotten into the Grindr a little bit, but I think we felt a little uncomfortable that he was... They seemed like they were not going... I don't know what the deal is. Maybe I need to be more comfortable with uh with gay men fighting on the radio yeah i don't know yeah you were

02:57:01 - 02:57:05 | Speaker 5:

uncomfortable you shouldn't let him off the hook so easy you're right i absolutely agree with you

02:57:05 - 02:57:19 | Speaker 2:

uh steven what's going on it's mojo in the morning how are you steven i'm good first time caller yo steven's on the phone there we go kevin's not here so we'll do it for you what's up

02:57:19 - 02:57:39 | Speaker 7:

but i'm i'm curious out to know how long has he been friends with the female for him not to like her it seems so innocent that if she's going through dark times like yeah she could be seriously going through something and he wants to cheer her up that could be his best friend yeah and that's

02:57:39 - 02:57:43 | Speaker 2:

something that we should get into and we should find that out Lydia if you can ask that question

02:57:43 - 02:57:49 | Speaker 4:

of how long the friendship was going on because I don't even think that that doesn't worry me that

02:57:49 - 02:58:00 | Speaker 2:

he sent him to like it's everything else but but how long is the friend if the friendship's been going on for a long time this uh you know uh has to be something that austin needs to get over

02:58:00 - 02:58:05 | Speaker 3:

like you can't just say because you've been friends with somebody for a long time you want

02:58:05 - 02:58:18 | Speaker 2:

to sleep together no i don't think it's about sleeping together i think it's but i think it's but what is so bad about this girl sounds to me like she's a pain in the ass or he austin thinks She's a pain in the ass. What's up, Flo?

02:58:19 - 02:58:46 | Speaker 6:

Hi. How you doing? I think first time, long time. Hey, now. Flo. Flo. I don't know. I think the friend really has more to do with this situation. I feel like the friend is, like, more probably hooking him up with other friends. That's why he said, I know what you're going through and everything. I think the friend probably has more to do with it. then that's why the boyfriend don't like the other friend.

02:58:46 - 02:58:51 | Speaker 2:

We should investigate that because that could be a situation where we have seen where there's bad influence friends.

02:58:52 - 02:58:58 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, like she didn't hook him up with somebody or she's doing more than that's why he don't like her.

02:58:58 - 02:59:18 | Speaker 2:

Maybe this friend doesn't necessarily do a good job of promoting the relationship between Austin and Malcolm. Maybe she's a bad... Because I've had bad influence friends in the past that Chels didn't like that much that weren't the weren't the greatest influences on you what's up g hi um i was calling in because

02:59:18 - 02:59:37 | Speaker 1:

i actually had a weird experience a couple years back my best friend at the time we were friends for seven years um was jealous of her stepbrother dating me um which was kind of odd so the speculation with my friends and i was that she maybe had a crush on her stepbrother oh i watched

02:59:37 - 02:59:42 | Speaker 2:

that porn what's going on with that huh do you ever find out more about that no she just stopped

02:59:42 - 02:59:47 | Speaker 1:

talking to me she said i was an awful friend for dating her brother do you have to get a permission

02:59:47 - 03:00:29 | Speaker 3:

to date somebody's brother i actually do kind of get where she's coming from and i don't think it's because she was into her stepbrother i think if you guys get into a such a blow-up situation where you won't come around anymore it's affecting your friendship Thank you.

03:00:00 - 03:00:04 | Speaker 1:

So you put that relationship over your friendship. Do you think it was that or do you think it was romantic, G?

03:00:05 - 03:00:12 | Speaker 3:

Um, I don't really know because I, we told her and we asked for permission and she said, yeah, and it was fine.

03:00:13 - 03:00:16 | Speaker 1:

And there was probably something there because it is a stepbrother too.

03:00:16 - 03:00:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And then after that, she got pissed.

03:00:19 - 03:00:29 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Tiffany, what's happening? It's Mojo in the morning show. We were talking about how you're jealous of your best, your, your significance, best friend. What's up?

03:00:30 - 03:00:49 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, my husband is jealous of my best guy friend. We've been friends probably for 20 years. And when he first met him, unfortunately, my mom said, oh, this is her soulmate, the man she's going to marry. Oh, geez. And we joke about it. But, yeah, there's nothing going on there. But he's still jealous of him to this day.

03:00:49 - 03:01:02 | Speaker 7:

See, I do get it when you are a heterosexual female and your best friend is a member of the opposite sex, even though I totally believe there could be nothing going on. And, like, that, to me, I understand more than this situation.

03:01:02 - 03:01:06 | Speaker 1:

Have you ever had a romantic thing or have you guys ever had sex with each other? Baked cookies?

03:01:07 - 03:01:18 | Speaker 5:

We had, like, a romantic thing once we tried because so many people wanted us together. But then we realized we were better off best friends. We knew way too much about each other and had been there for so many different things.

03:01:19 - 03:01:30 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right. That's honesty. Thanks for answering that question. Amanda, this is an interesting one because Amanda is kind of like the, what was her name, Julia in this? What's up, Amanda?

03:01:31 - 03:01:41 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I have a really good friend. We work together at my second job. He is gay, and we mean each other constantly. And my husband accused me of cheating because he's constantly messaging me.

03:01:42 - 03:01:44 | Speaker 1:

And he is a gay man?

03:01:46 - 03:01:51 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. Flamboyantly. Like, there's not even a remote possibility.

03:01:51 - 03:02:00 | Speaker 1:

So your husband is not excited about you having a man, whether he's gay or straight, as a best friend?

03:02:02 - 03:02:09 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no, not at all. But we just, I don't care. I've told him multiple times. We just send each other memes. That's the thing.

03:02:10 - 03:02:12 | Speaker 1:

What are those memes? I want to know. Are they dirty memes?

03:02:12 - 03:02:29 | Speaker 4:

Oh, it's either it's sexual in the fact that we both, like, are horribly, like, raunchy. And into the same things. But towards men. And then, or how we hate our jobs.

03:02:29 - 03:02:33 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Do you think the sexual memes thing, though, makes him feel uncomfortable?

03:02:34 - 03:02:37 | Speaker 4:

My husband doesn't even know. He's not even on social media. He doesn't even know what they are.

03:02:37 - 03:02:39 | Speaker 1:

All right. He just doesn't like you talking to them.

03:02:39 - 03:02:42 | Speaker 4:

He probably wouldn't find the memes relatable either, would he?

03:02:42 - 03:03:03 | Speaker 1:

no not at all interesting all right well thank you for the call offered to show him the truth but you know yeah every woman i always believe that should have a good gay best friend should have a guy in their life that's that's their gay best friend i did think i thought chelsea was fooling around with her gay best friend kevin for the longest time but i didn't know kevin was gay

03:03:03 - 03:03:08 | Speaker 7:

so that was the thing oh yeah yeah so i always having kevin that i know kevin yeah yeah yeah

03:03:08 - 03:03:14 | Speaker 1:

And I always thought, oh, this is kind of where they work out together. I'm like, oh, okay, there you go. Mike, what's up, Mike?

03:03:15 - 03:03:35 | Speaker 2:

Not much. I don't know if it's jealousy or what, but my wife will get mad at me when I go hang out with one of my friends. Because my friend, he's a little bit younger, late 20s. I'm in my mid-30s. But my buddy, he's a player. He's always got a new chick. Yeah. I had that, too. So sometimes I got to take the fight with my wife. It might last a couple days to hang out with my friend.

03:03:35 - 03:04:14 | Speaker 1:

Can I be honest? bring her with occasionally just so she can see how bad his game is yeah i should try that you know what that's the problem though i hope he does he he doesn't send you this was my problem don't allow your friend to send you pictures of the girl that said he's meeting because it does make your wife or you know feel uncomfortable it made chelsea feel uncomfortable that i had a friend that would always send these pictures of these girls that he was dating and he would do it because he was trying to make himself look cooler than he was than he was it was causing problems And it was honestly stuff I didn't, I not necessarily wanted to see them. So, you know what I mean? Like it was, it was just kind of weird, but don't allow that to happen. Does he do that to you?

03:04:15 - 03:04:18 | Speaker 2:

Sometimes he'll send me a pictures naked.

03:04:18 - 03:04:19 | Speaker 1:

Does he send you naked pictures?

03:04:20 - 03:04:20 | Speaker 2:

No.

03:04:21 - 03:04:27 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Yeah. Don't do that. Don't ever do that. And then she'll feel much more comfortable if, uh, if she's, he's not doing that stuff.

03:04:28 - 03:04:28 | Speaker 2:

All right.

03:04:28 - 03:04:33 | Speaker 1:

All right. Thanks buddy. Appreciate it. Initial T. I want to end with you. Initial T voice disguised. What's going on?

03:04:33 - 03:05:29 | Speaker 6:

hey good morning guys good morning good morning what's happening i don't think this has anything to do with the friend i think the guy just doesn't like the friend and that's that and why do you say that i because i have been in a situation where i you know got uninterested in my relationship re-downloaded grinder to meet new friends chat with people then it turns into snapchat then it turns into something else We'll be right back.

03:05:00 - 03:05:07 | Speaker 4:

yeah i'm proud of it so this is like textbook what you did time to separate yeah yeah because

03:05:07 - 03:05:16 | Speaker 1:

megan was saying that megan was saying that that a lot of times you'll see people in gay relationships go to grinder just to find people that have commonality or events going on but

03:05:16 - 03:05:37 | Speaker 3:

correct we love you again you always know what you're talking about but i don't go don't go that way seriously i agree with him like i i and i said this when shannon brought it up too Like, I can see this being a cheating scenario, and I can also see it not being a cheating scenario. I just don't think it's like, we caught you red-handed.

03:05:37 - 03:05:45 | Speaker 1:

But he says, though, it could lead to it. T, your situation led to you cheating eventually?

03:05:47 - 03:05:53 | Speaker 4:

I didn't go as far as fully cheating, but, like, mentally, emotionally, yes, not physically.

03:05:54 - 03:05:59 | Speaker 1:

Okay. When you say that, do you guys send nakeds to each other?

03:06:01 - 03:06:03 | Speaker 4:

You're always asking the hard-hitting questions, Mark.

03:06:03 - 03:06:09 | Speaker 1:

I got to. I got to do it. I'm the journalist of the show. I studied journalism.

03:06:09 - 03:06:10 | Speaker 4:

Naked.

03:06:11 - 03:06:13 | Speaker 1:

Go ahead. You sent them. Go ahead.

03:06:14 - 03:06:15 | Speaker 4:

You know we did.

03:06:15 - 03:06:24 | Speaker 1:

By the way, this sounds like the weirdest phone call ever. I'm on the phone with a gay man, and we're talking about sending nudes. Can you girls leave the room, please?

Mojo in the Morning. Online.

03:07:00 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Mojointhemorning.com Mojo in the Morning Show Yeah phone number 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is our telephone number i uh have a uh quick question for you a second here i would like to uh to know is it sexual to touch another person's face if they have something on it i was wearing my puffer coat my uh my winter jacket and it's got a small hole in it somewhere and so i see random feathers every now and again especially if i'm wearing like a sweater and i will have like random sweater feathers that will like stick to it and stuff well i was talking to a uh mojo in the morning listener and we were in the midst of a conversation big time listener by the way huge fan of the second date update she was telling me about how she loves the second date update how it's like her favorite thing she listens all the time thinks we should do it more she thinks we do the war of the roses more than the second date update i was trying to explain to her that that's not the case she's a bartender at uh little caesar's arena and i was there the other night going to a a game and she reaches over while we're in the midst of a conversation and she takes her fingers so she takes her pointer finger with her thumb okay like this and she gently touches my mustache uh-huh for what and then she pulls it apart pulls it out and has a feather there and goes you had a feather on you i'm sorry and i said to myself oh that seemed very erotic i everything's erotic to me i mean for some reason i don't know what it is it was kind of weird it was like first off when i saw her fingers coming towards me it was like i kept hearing you had a boogie and she was gonna get rid of it for you i was hearing the jaws music it was like like that coming towards me and as she grabbed it and pulled it away and then she grabbed one off of my shoulder and took the uh the feather off of my shoulder because i had another feather on my shoulder this vest by the way i think it's going to have to go into retirement because i'm like wearing out the feathers and everything it's not warm enough at one point because it's got this little pinhole i ended up getting it on on clearance um but so uh let me go back to my whatever my question was um is is it flirting

03:10:00 - 03:10:11 | Speaker 1:

Because I didn't do anything, but a buddy of mine said that by her doing that, that that was probably like crossing the line. That her grabbing it off my mustache.

03:10:12 - 03:10:30 | Speaker 4:

I think it's crossing the line. I wouldn't consider it flirting. Really? Like, you and I have known each other for 20 years. Yes. And I would pick a feather off your jacket, but I would not pick a feather out of your mustache. I might say, hey, go like this. You have a feather right there. But even I, like, and we are friends. I would not.

03:10:31 - 03:10:44 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I've never met this woman ever, right? Like, you know, how does she know that I'm not one of those hyper crazy people that carries around hand sanitizers and stuff and wants people to, which, by the way, it's time for people to stop the hand sanitizer thing.

03:10:44 - 03:10:45 | Speaker 3:

You don't live downtown.

03:10:46 - 03:10:52 | Speaker 1:

The whole hand, first off, did you know that the hand sanitizer thing is, they're saying that there's some kind of a virus that's going around right now.

03:10:52 - 03:10:54 | Speaker 4:

Oh, it's norovirus and it is rotten.

03:10:54 - 03:11:09 | Speaker 1:

And did you know that norovirus actually is immune from hand sanitizer? Yeah. It's not a good idea to be using the hand sanitizer. Wash your hands with soap. Now back to my topic already in progress. Megan, what are your thoughts? Would you touch my mustache?

03:11:09 - 03:11:15 | Speaker 3:

No, I really wish Shannon on this one. It seems kind of straightforward. It's weird to touch a stranger, I think.

03:11:15 - 03:11:33 | Speaker 4:

Although I will say it takes everything in me, everything in me to not like peel somebody's somebody did that to me yeah remember i talked about this somebody did that to me maybe a year or two ago and it freaked me out but that it's like my hands want to do it so bad why am i like

03:11:33 - 03:11:37 | Speaker 3:

that but i would never ever there's another version of you somewhere they took those skin

03:11:37 - 03:11:59 | Speaker 1:

cells and said duplicate um i saw kev was it last week i think kev did you had something on you megan and he actually asked if he could touch it and honestly i will say this to you i don't know if I as a guy I would not touch another woman even if it was you guys like I wouldn't sit there and go hey you got something on you I would just I'd let it go because I think nowadays you just got

03:11:59 - 03:12:25 | Speaker 4:

to be really careful about the even girl to girl like it is it's such a girl thing to notice when you have hair like on your shoulders or on your back hair that you know has like come out from your head and I do it to me I feel like I do it to you all the time where I'm like you have a bunch a whole bunch of hair as I'm doing it but at least I've given you the heads up that I'm doing it because i'm bald but it's just like i think it's kind of weird to touch somebody without telling them what you're doing unless you're a very close friend to me do not touch me yeah

03:12:25 - 03:12:36 | Speaker 1:

you're not you're not a touchy feely i'm not have you ever been a touchy feely were you ever a cuddler at all in any relationships no what so so what is your form of affection that you would

03:12:36 - 03:12:49 | Speaker 3:

show in relationships if she's mean what if you're mean no uh i need words of affirmation and listening ears okay listen and you respond back to me that's more important than any other but

03:12:49 - 03:12:58 | Speaker 4:

i'm saying your sign of affection to people sometimes like if you make fun of them like if you're sarcastic with them that is that's that's endearment for you just flirty sarcasm no if i'm

03:12:58 - 03:13:09 | Speaker 1:

super nice to you i probably don't like you oh really yeah okay all right really so then you're so wait a second are you saying that if you're not super nice to the person you like them

03:13:10 - 03:13:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

03:13:11 - 03:13:12 | Speaker 1:

I did not know that.

03:13:12 - 03:13:13 | Speaker 3:

We talk about this all the time.

03:13:13 - 03:13:46 | Speaker 1:

I don't, I never get that. That's interesting. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I want to do, ask that question. I want to ask you, is just a yes or no, just call us up right now. 10 call says it all or something. I don't know. And just tell me, is if somebody touches you, if somebody touches like your face or grab something off your face, is that kind of a flirty thing? Are they trying to flirt with you a little bit? Let's see here. Let me grab this line here. Mojo in the morning. Hello.

03:13:48 - 03:13:50 | Speaker 2:

Hello. This is Charles.

03:13:50 - 03:13:51 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Charles.

03:13:51 - 03:13:52 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Charles.

03:13:53 - 03:13:57 | Speaker 2:

I was calling about the question that was asked.

03:13:58 - 03:13:58 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Question.

03:13:58 - 03:14:00 | Speaker 2:

Is it too far to touch somebody else?

03:14:00 - 03:14:10 | Speaker 1:

Charles, quick question for you. if a woman reaches over and touches your face by your mustache do you think she wants to have sex with you

03:14:10 - 03:14:22 | Speaker 2:

um no you don't think you don't think it's flirty I mean it really depends on how they grab it was the

03:14:22 - 03:14:26 | Speaker 1:

pointer finger and the thumb it was very sweet

03:14:26 - 03:14:31 | Speaker 3:

she slowly starts humming I don't know why that is

03:14:31 - 03:14:36 | Speaker 1:

In my head, I'm thinking she's going to all of a sudden push my hair back and all the rest of that stuff, too.

03:14:36 - 03:14:37 | Speaker 3:

It's just because that's what you want.

03:14:38 - 03:14:43 | Speaker 1:

You know what? Some guys want to be touched every now and again. It's like, all right. Right.

03:14:43 - 03:14:45 | Speaker 2:

Because it doesn't happen like that.

03:14:45 - 03:14:47 | Speaker 1:

Charles, when's the last time that you were touched?

03:14:49 - 03:15:00 | Speaker 2:

Just recently, actually. Who was it? It was actually a random stranger, but this was something on my back, not my back.

03:15:00 - 03:15:05 | Speaker 3:

my mustache so okay what did you have on your back that they touched um this was actually

03:15:05 - 03:15:11 | Speaker 2:

like uh one of those little cotton things that are outside okay how i don't know yeah yeah

03:15:11 - 03:15:17 | Speaker 3:

yeah and and so they just randomly touched you and did they drag your hand all the way down your

03:15:17 - 03:15:32 | Speaker 2:

back to your butt like what happened no they actually just you know just it did feel weird because I'm like, I turned around, I'm like, what the hell? Yeah. So. Yep. I mean, it really just depends on how they touch you, honestly.

03:15:32 - 03:15:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Charles would like to be touched more often. If there's anybody listening right now that knows Charles, please touch Charles, okay? Right, Charles? You want to be touched more often, Charles? Yeah. Thanks, buddy, for the call. I appreciate you. What is happening? Mo, what's going on, Mo?

03:15:52 - 03:15:54 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, Mojo? How y'all doing?

03:15:54 - 03:15:56 | Speaker 3:

Good, buddy. What are your thoughts? Is it flirty?

03:15:58 - 03:16:02 | Speaker 1:

Definitely flirty. Very flirty. I get a restraining order for you.

03:16:03 - 03:16:08 | Speaker 3:

Yes, restraining order against the bartender over at Little Caesars Arena who touched me.

03:16:09 - 03:16:16 | Speaker 1:

Of course. Yeah, I mean, personally, I would not want to be touched in the face like that, by a stranger especially. Yeah.

03:16:17 - 03:16:20 | Speaker 3:

But I was letting her pour my drinks for me, so I was fine with that.

03:16:20 - 03:16:22 | Speaker 4:

How did you respond, by the way?

03:16:22 - 03:16:39 | Speaker 3:

I was kind of like honestly shocked by it. And I was like, oh, this was interesting. And then I just go, thank you. I said, that was very kind of you. I think that was my response. I go, well, thank you so much. I would have walked around all day with a feather on my mustache. You know, and it does look like a booger from afar. So it does, because it's kind of like white and stuff.

03:16:40 - 03:16:46 | Speaker 4:

That even would like freak me out more that she thought it was a booger and a stranger was going to pull a booger from your mustache.

03:16:46 - 03:16:51 | Speaker 3:

I would, by the way, that would be very erotic to have somebody pick my nose for me. What's up, Maureen? How are you?

03:16:51 - 03:16:53 | Speaker 4:

That is a nightmare.

03:16:53 - 03:16:53 | Speaker 6:

Good.

03:16:54 - 03:16:54 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

03:16:54 - 03:17:15 | Speaker 6:

I know it is sexual, but I do think that it is definitely not appropriate. Some people don't know how to keep, you know, I mean, some people don't know their boundaries. And so it might just be a personable thing from this woman. But it's definitely something that if, you know, someone did that to my husband, I'd be looking at her pretty well.

03:17:15 - 03:17:26 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. Yeah. Charles was not there with me at the time. But that's interesting. What was the song that we used to sing when we were kids? no no that's or that's my no no square or whatever the heck what remember the no no square song

03:17:26 - 03:17:39 | Speaker 6:

no do you remember that maureen at all um i don't remember that but i always i always can relate to you know um i have my uh my space don't evade my space yeah you know yeah but an arm's reached

03:17:39 - 03:17:53 | Speaker 8:

there there was the there was the no no no no no don't touch me there is what i told my uncle But he didn't seem to care It's my secret little spot And I don't want to share No, no, don't touch me there

03:17:53 - 03:17:59 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, that was not the version That I remember from school But what's going on? How you doing? Courtney, how are you?

03:18:00 - 03:18:06 | Speaker 5:

How do you guys not know the no-no song? It's Stop, Don't Touch Me There This is my no-no song

03:18:06 - 03:18:10 | Speaker 3:

I've never heard that in my life Exactly, Courtney You've never heard of that?

03:18:10 - 03:18:10 | Speaker 5:

No

03:18:10 - 03:18:15 | Speaker 3:

That's the song that they would teach you In middle school or whatever Yeah

03:18:15 - 03:18:32 | Speaker 5:

Yes Well, I am, like, I'm very nice. I'm a very nice person. I'm touchy-feely. And my husband, like, in his line of work, like, he's got to schmooze a lot of people. If it's a female, it is what it is. But if I was with my husband and someone did that, I would put my hoops down and not be happy.

03:18:32 - 03:18:37 | Speaker 3:

You would open up a can of whoop-ass on her. You would have effed her off, bitch, like Shannon says.

03:18:37 - 03:18:42 | Speaker 5:

I will eff you up, bitch! I can't say it. I'm a mom of three. I can't say it like that, but I would be very upset.

03:18:43 - 03:18:48 | Speaker 3:

Okay. We love you, Courtney. Thanks for calling. Tiana, what's happening? It's Mojo in the Morning.

03:18:49 - 03:18:51 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. Good morning.

03:18:51 - 03:18:52 | Speaker 4:

Good morning.

03:18:52 - 03:19:24 | Speaker 7:

What's going on? So it's definitely, it was definitely being flirty. We as women, I feel like every woman's love language is physical touch. There's no way I'm going to a random stranger and touching them, just like rather if it's taking something off of them or what. I'm not walking up to no stranger and just touching them. So, you know exactly what she was doing. It was very intentional, what she was doing. And, yeah, she knew exactly what she was doing with that part.

03:19:24 - 03:19:33 | Speaker 3:

Thanks, Tiana, for calling in. I appreciate you for listening. Juanita? Yes, hello. What's going on, Juanita?

03:19:34 - 03:19:57 | Speaker 8:

Love you guys, first of all. Love you. We love you, too. Oh, I was one of them. I watched the show years ago, and there was a man on there with his new girlfriend, and he was on with an ex, and the ex started crying, but he wiped the tears off her face, and I think that's something that you can't do, that's what you can't touch.

03:19:58 - 03:19:59 | Speaker 3:

That's very intimate.

03:20:00 - 03:20:04 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that's something you don't do. Yeah, you can't wait.

03:20:04 - 03:20:04 | Speaker 7:

No.

03:20:04 - 03:20:10 | Speaker 5:

If you saw Juanita, your man, doing that to his ex, you would probably cut his nuts off, wouldn't you?

03:20:11 - 03:20:12 | Speaker 2:

Oh, it would be done.

03:20:12 - 03:20:13 | Unknown:

Yeah.

03:20:14 - 03:20:17 | Speaker 2:

On sight. It would say more. The actions speak louder than words.

03:20:18 - 03:20:23 | Speaker 5:

Yep. That's a good one. And last but not least, Sydney, are you there, Sydney?

03:20:25 - 03:20:49 | Speaker 3:

Hi. First time, long time. Hey! Um, but I work at one of the makeup stores in the mall and I had a woman at the cash register, like ask me like, Hey, can I touch you? And I was just like, um, yeah. And she like leaned over the counter and fixed my hair for me. And I was just like, I totally could have done that myself,

03:20:49 - 03:20:54 | Speaker 5:

but thank you. Wow. That that's interesting. You think she meant anything by it or she really

03:20:54 - 03:21:04 | Speaker 3:

thought your hair was out of place? I mean, it was definitely out of place. It was just very awkward and very vague i was like what are you gonna touch like what are you doing yeah it is

03:21:04 - 03:21:12 | Speaker 5:

kind of weird hey can i touch you sephora lady or alta lady whichever one uh yeah that's crazy

03:21:12 - 03:21:17 | Speaker 3:

oh that would give me the heebie jeebies i know oh by the way there there should be like signs

03:21:17 - 03:22:12 | Speaker 5:

03:23:05 - 03:23:51 | Speaker 2:

have to say. My name is Metarica Terry LaMille and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.
