00:02:29 - 00:02:59 | Unknown:

We'll be right back.

00:02:59 - 00:03:21 | Speaker 7:

okay all right what's uh we're gonna start off this morning uh so what's going on megan so your car may not be starting when you leave here today yeah i don't think the the chances are very high

00:03:21 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 5:

at this point i'm definitely not stressed out about it even a little bit i'm fine okay so fine

00:03:27 - 00:03:32 | Speaker 4:

about this it's fine as she's got a razor bleed in her hand and she's taking it to a sweatshirt

00:03:32 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 7:

right now my therapist is glad you said sweatshirt uh mojo in the morning 844 mojo live uh is the telephone number text is 95500 so did it so it started to get here or it was hard to start it

00:03:47 - 00:04:36 | Speaker 5:

was hard to start i just couldn't get it to turn over i tried it out a whole bunch of times and i knew this was going to be an issue yesterday when I got into my parking garage and my car was acting a little bit funky and I was like it's cold even though it was one of the warmer days we've had in weeks I was like it's definitely the cold just causing my car to be weird and I was like in the back of my head I hope this starts in the morning and in the morning it did not want to start so a little frustrated don't know if it's my battery or my alternator hoping it's the battery alternator is going to be way more expensive. Replace the alternator and the battery in July. So either way, I'm pissed. But the good news is, and this was not related, I actually brought rollerblades with me today for something else that I'm working on. And so worst case scenario, I do have transportation home.

00:04:36 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 7:

I don't know. I don't know. Somebody will drive you home. Drive you home.

00:04:40 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 5:

Nobody's around. You guys are gone. Long gone by the time I go home.

00:04:44 - 00:04:45 | Speaker 7:

What time do you leave? Because I'm here until 2 o'clock today.

00:04:45 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 5:

I will probably be here Wednesday, probably around 3 or 4 today. No, later than that. All right. I got an early day tomorrow.

00:04:56 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

Is there a listener that works anywhere in downtown Detroit?

00:05:00 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 3:

Uh, can I, uh, this is so real quick. Uh, can I tell you what a friend did one time when his car wouldn't, his, he had an issue where his car wouldn't start for him, but once it started, it was fine. He left it running the entire work shift that he had, he had a five, he had a five hour work shift and he left it running for the entire five hours and then came outside for lunch.

00:05:24 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 2:

Check on it.

00:05:24 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 3:

Checked on it, make sure it was okay. Came outside, like at a break time, checked on it. but he had people that were working knowing that don't shut this car off and don't do it because he wanted to make sure it worked, and then he was going to take it and go get it fixed.

00:05:36 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 2:

Dumb question. How much gas does that actually use? Oh, it's going to go through a lot. I don't know.

00:05:41 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 3:

It's just idling, though.

00:05:42 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 4:

That doesn't even seem like healthy for your vehicle. It's not.

00:05:44 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 3:

Well, your vehicle's not healthy in the first place, right? I mean, you already know that the vehicle's got some issues to it. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I know that this has got to be something that maybe you've been faced with or currently are faced with. Who's got the biggest hoopty that's in our audience right now? Does anybody have a bigger hoopty than Megan does?

00:06:07 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 4:

I'm not a car guy, but you use the word turnover.

00:06:11 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 2:

What does that mean? The sound effect he was just playing where the car won't actually start. It's like the engines, like it's turning, but it's not. And then all of a sudden it kicks in, you know?

00:06:21 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:06:22 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 2:

And it's vroom vroom. Technical term. That's that in car talk. But she knows then it's working.

00:06:29 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 3:

Megan knows more car stuff than any guy on this radio show.

00:06:34 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 2:

Which is more frustrating because I know that I'm, I almost just cursed. Screwed. I'm screwed.

00:06:39 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 3:

I know. None of us are helping you.

00:06:40 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 4:

I don't feel bad that I don't know car stuff, though. Like, that doesn't, I don't, I'm not insecure about that. I just don't know that stuff. I don't know how to change a tire. I don't know how to change my oil. And honestly, I have no interest in learning.

00:06:50 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 2:

It's not that. It's more fun when I go to a mechanic or any sort of issue, and the guys try to talk to me and say something's wrong when I know it's not, especially if it's something I just replaced. They're like, yeah, and this needs to be replaced, and we need to work on this. I was like, no, you don't. And when you can confront them with more information than what they provided to you, and they know that they tried to screw you over, and you're like, mm-hmm, you're not going to happen.

00:07:11 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 4:

You're like a boss.

00:07:12 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

You know what, though? That's actually awesome, though, because I remember back in the day, I went to a Jiffy Lube, and I swear to you, they always show me.

00:07:19 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

00:07:19 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 3:

They show me the filters and all the rest of that stuff. You just nod.

00:07:22 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:07:23 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 3:

And I'm like, come on, man. You got yourself a big dummy in front of you.

00:07:27 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 2:

They could have not changed my oil. And they show me the thing, and they're like, look, clean.

00:07:32 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to take advantage of, and then the dude sent me to his cousin so he could take advantage of me. No. He's like, yeah, it's your transmission. Go to my friend Mikey on 8 Mile in Greenfield. I went over there at 275.

00:07:43 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 3:

They tell everybody, there's this guy, Kevin. He's on his way over. this guy's gonna buy himself anything you ask um oh hold on listeners are texting in uh with their hoop these stories here uh 844 mojo live call us uh to or text uh 95500 uh scott wanted to ask you

00:08:04 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 5:

a question megan what was that question scott oh yeah shannon had mentioned uh something about a razor blade and a sweatshirt and i'm wondering why her therapist would have said that she was proud that it was called a sweatshirt.

00:08:18 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 2:

No, you missed that joke. That very dark joke.

00:08:22 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 3:

Yes, it was a dark joke that thank God she was only using the razor blade on her sweatshirt. She was using it to cut it off.

00:08:31 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 5:

I'm not going too deep. I gotcha. It's early.

00:08:35 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 3:

Scott, what kind of car do you have and can you pick Megan up today at 4 o'clock?

00:08:40 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 5:

I have a 94 Corvette. Oh my God.

00:08:44 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 3:

You're not driving a 94 Corvette in this weather.

00:08:49 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 5:

No, I just wanted to bring it up for conversation. Okay.

00:08:53 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 2:

Must be nice.

00:08:54 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 3:

I'll hold on a second. Small wiener alert. Small wiener alert.

00:08:58 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 1:

Imagine having a backup car in this economy.

00:09:01 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Lauren, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. How are you?

00:09:04 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 1:

Morning, guys. First time, long time. Hey, Lauren's on the phone. So, it was a few years ago. i was a coach of fifth grade girls basketball yeah and i come out one day after practice my car wouldn't start and so luckily it was a stick shift and so i had all my girls start pushing my car i put it in gear and popped it oh yeah all of a sudden like i'm like all right bye guys

00:09:32 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 3:

the visual of that is great for me because i know and i know megan you know what she's talking about When you had a stick shift in a car and the starter wouldn't work, you would just let the car roll and then, yeah, pop it in. And when it would pop in, it would start automatically.

00:09:50 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 2:

The worst is when you park on a hill and people are like, this is far away. You're like, no, no, I need the momentum getting out of here to get it back going.

00:09:56 - 00:09:56 | Unknown:

Exactly.

00:09:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

It's so funny, by the way, because I've coached basketball before.

00:10:00 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 1:

I've coached fifth-grade basketball back in the day, and it's funny when you have your kids do stuff for you. They get so excited to do it. You just hope that their parents don't know that you just.

00:10:08 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. That's why I was sitting in the car. I'm like, oh, God. I'm like, please hope that the parents don't see that right now. It does not look good.

00:10:15 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 1:

Coach Lauren, thank you for the call. I appreciate you. What's up, Rose? What's going on?

00:10:21 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning. First time long time. Hey, Rose. Oh, get up on you, Rose. Love it. the morning at the one time I went to my bartending shift and I was running a little late and I left my keys in my car and couldn't find my keys at the end of my shift. I'm looking everywhere, everywhere. We're looking in the trash. I got everyone looking for these things. Go outside. My car is running.

00:10:48 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 2:

Oh my God. She is running.

00:10:50 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Sure have. The whole time. The whole shift. It must have been like five or six hours. I really supposedly didn't use that much gas. I'm telling you. I did it during a concert. Yeah. And, I mean, I still had not a lot of gas because I didn't have a lot of gas to start with, though. But, yeah.

00:11:09 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 1:

I think idling, it doesn't burn as much as it does as you're, you know, when you're revving the engine up on the thing. So, I don't know much about cars, but I do know this, that we're going to try to find Megan a ride today. People are texting in. Uber drivers. Matter of fact, hold on a second. And we got Lyft drivers and Uber drivers that are willing to give you rides. T, initial T, your voice disguised. What's up?

00:11:34 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 3:

Hi. How are you guys?

00:11:36 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 1:

We're great. What's going on?

00:11:38 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 3:

Well, once I had to leave a vehicle running for over 24 hours.

00:11:45 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 1:

Whoa. Because of the.

00:11:48 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Because at the time when I had to make a payment, I had to enter a code. and once I turned the vehicle off, it wouldn't restart.

00:12:01 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. So because you were worried that they wouldn't give you another code because you didn't make the payment, you just keep on running for 24 hours.

00:12:12 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 3:

Yep.

00:12:13 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 1:

Were you worried that somebody was going to get in the car and take off with it?

00:12:17 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 3:

No.

00:12:18 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 1:

But did it use all up of your gas? Because 24 hours is a long time.

00:12:24 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 3:

It used quite a bit.

00:12:25 - 00:12:38 | Speaker 1:

Man, that's crazy. I didn't even know cars had that ability or people had that ability where they could keep you from starting your car if you don't pay it by entering a code. What kind of car was it?

00:12:38 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 3:

Four or five years ago. What kind of car did you drive at the time? Oh, I think she's gone.

00:12:46 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 1:

Did you leave? No. Hello? Yeah, you're still there. What kind of car was it?

00:12:51 - 00:12:52 | Speaker 3:

It was a Malibu.

00:12:53 - 00:12:54 | Speaker 1:

A Malibu. Okay.

00:12:54 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 3:

I'm actually kind of shocked. Yeah, me too.

00:12:56 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 1:

That's interesting. What's up, TJ? What's going on? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:13:01 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 2:

Hey, first time in a long time. Hey, TJ.

00:13:06 - 00:13:07 | Speaker 1:

What's up, man?

00:13:08 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 2:

So I actually had this car. I couldn't even tell you what model it was. I could start it without even putting a key in the ignition. I could literally just turn it, and it would start up.

00:13:20 - 00:13:20 | Speaker 4:

Nice.

00:13:21 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 2:

I lived at a nearby pub. I lived close to a nearby pub. That car sat in the pub parking lot for two months, and nobody stole it.

00:13:32 - 00:13:37 | Speaker 1:

That's how good of a car it was. That must have been a real hooptie.

00:13:39 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Yeah, and also the heat didn't work, so I went on a trip to Ohio and had to wear a coat, and so did the girl I was dating at the time. No!

00:13:50 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 1:

Oh, she must have really liked you. Yeah, that was a hell of a date. I'm sure that you didn't get a second date, did you?

00:13:57 - 00:14:02 | Speaker 2:

We dated for a little bit longer, but, yeah, she was never wanting to get back in that car.

00:14:02 - 00:14:04 | Speaker 4:

Is it because she didn't have a car at all that she put up with it?

00:14:06 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 2:

I think it was a giant penis.

00:14:12 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, the guy has to be good looking. There's no way that a girl's staying with a guy that has a car with no heat. Can I tell you that we had at our radio station in Arizona that I worked at, We had such a bad van, a station vehicle. It was so bad, we tried to get rid of it. We drove it to the border of Nogales, Mexico, and we left it running with a sign on it saying, please take me, and nobody took the thing. I'm not kidding you. It was like the bit we did the entire morning, and we kept it there. That's great. Do any of you guys remember when your parents had an Astro van? An Astro van was like the minivan on steroids. It was basically like a big old Astro van and we had this look it up You'll you'll notice what that car is sometimes you'll see him every now and again now Like it was the car that had like TVs in it

00:15:00 - 00:15:17 | Speaker 5:

stuff like that like that were big tvs and uh the greatest was that nobody would take that the station vehicle and the only way that the company said that we would get a new vehicle is if it either broke down or got stolen we figured that uh rebecca what's up hi what's

00:15:17 - 00:15:44 | Speaker 4:

going on hi mojo hi um i have a really crappy car super old and so my sister let me borrow hers to go to college a couple years ago and um it has a key fob and so i'm not used to that so you know how you have to push the button to turn it off instead of just keeping the key with you yeah i just have to be with me to class and i came out like seven eight hours later and it's parallel

00:15:44 - 00:15:58 | Speaker 5:

parked in the city and it's still running wow that's unreal that is that is amazing i by the That's, like, impressive that nobody takes any of these vehicles. Derek, your hoopty's worse than Megan's hoopty. What happened?

00:16:00 - 00:16:08 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I used to keep a Gatorade bottle full of gas. So when I'd leave, I'd have to open the hood, force them in the car to get the truck to start.

00:16:08 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 8:

Oh, my God.

00:16:10 - 00:16:11 | Speaker 5:

What was it? What kind of car was it?

00:16:13 - 00:16:22 | Speaker 6:

Oh, it was a mint condition classic truck, 1979 F-150. Mint condition. $400 off of Facebook. Yeah, baby.

00:16:22 - 00:16:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, baby.

00:16:24 - 00:16:24 | Speaker 6:

Steal.

00:16:25 - 00:16:27 | Speaker 1:

And was there a hole where you could put your foot right to the ground?

00:16:29 - 00:16:30 | Speaker 6:

No, the carpet covered that up.

00:16:33 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 7:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events and you tell us what year it happened.

00:16:41 - 00:16:51 | Speaker 5:

All right, we're getting ready for the Super Bowl when all the good commercials are coming out. Well, this year was the year that Geico released their Hump Day commercials.

00:16:51 - 00:17:04 | Speaker 2:

Julie, hey, guess what day it is? Oh, come on. I know you can hear me. Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike. What day is it, Mike? Leslie, guess what today is? It's Hump Day. What? Hump Day?

00:17:04 - 00:17:09 | Speaker 5:

Those were so good. This is the end was the big movie.

00:17:09 - 00:17:23 | Speaker 3:

I mean, you're getting all worked up over a porno mag. Who has goddamn porno mags anymore? Welcome to the 21st century, Buck Rogers. You designed a house with f***ing iPads in the walls. And you're jerking your dick like a gun. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

00:17:23 - 00:17:47 | Speaker 5:

By the way, my love is you pick the clips that Zach has to do the most work for. There had to be, like, other clips you could pick. Sorry, Zach. Zach, don't put up with this. Call the union representatives and tell them that you're not doing it anymore. This was the big song from Katy Perry. Roar, what year was it? We'll set you up with the prize.

00:17:49 - 00:17:58 | Speaker 7:

Call us and tell us what year that stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548.

Standard text and data rates. apply so the number nine five five zero zero the word mustard for a chance to win Kendrick and SZA tickets all right we're gonna get you caught up on what is trending this morning Shannon's got

00:20:12 - 00:20:36 | Speaker 1:

the first dirty on the 30 for us good morning well things are not good not amicable between Megan Kelly and Megan Kelly machine gun Kelly there we go and Megan Fox put them together that's what you get as she gets closer to giving birth to their baby she's actually due in march so four we called weeks to go i mean well they they have not been together but they're not even on

00:20:36 - 00:20:41 | Speaker 5:

speaking terms at this point but we remember we thought had like that it was like a fake they

00:20:41 - 00:21:07 | Speaker 1:

were together or something like that they they were together and then they broke up and then they got they rekindled they got back together and now this sources say is really really bad He is probably not going to be invited into the delivery room. However, he responded to this story on his own social media yesterday, captioning a photo of himself. How can sources say when the sources haven't said anything?

00:21:08 - 00:21:13 | Speaker 5:

Oh, wow. Believe what you will. He believes that there's just speculation about this?

00:21:13 - 00:21:32 | Speaker 4:

That's very sad, man. And as a guy who wasn't in the delivery room for his first child and was blessed to be in a delivery room for Journey, it is a moment that you will never forget. And it is a moment that every parent should have access to. Yeah. So I hope that they can come to some type of amicable situation where the two can coexist in a healthy way in the room. Yeah.

00:21:32 - 00:22:56 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Text exchanges between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni reveal a very warm and, in my opinion, quite flirtatious relationship between the actress and her co-star director of It Ends With Us. Like, they're very cute with each other. Well, it would be cute with each other if they were both not married at the time that they were sending these text messages back and forth. But as we all know, it changed and soured big time over time, leading to lawsuits and public disputes. They're in the dirty pretty much every single morning for the past couple of weeks. According to Justin, though, their partnership grew close enough that, yeah, they were exchanging text messages on a daily basis. They shared stories and photos from their lives. They commiserated over their kids getting sick. They sent jokes and memes. And now we're seeing a lot of these text messages because they're getting released in droves. in one exchange for example just to give you to paint a little picture here Justin complimented Blake because she was getting like super sentimental about all of the work that they had put into this movie together and so he texted her I like sentimental Blake she jokingly responded never met her which Justin responded I also like a whole Blake don't worry she laughed it off with a little bit of self-deprecating humor texting him I've met her, so have my suppositories. So, like, and this was, like, back and forth.

00:22:57 - 00:23:00 | Speaker 5:

So have my suppositories. A-hole Blake.

00:23:00 - 00:23:02 | Speaker 1:

To his comment about, I also like a-hole Blake.

00:23:02 - 00:23:04 | Speaker 5:

Oh, wow.

00:23:04 - 00:23:10 | Speaker 1:

So, again, a trial date, if we even make it that far, has been set for March of 2026.

00:23:11 - 00:23:18 | Speaker 5:

Very flirty. I was just going to. Oh, I think they're very flirty. You think the suppository line is flirty? Yeah.

00:23:18 - 00:23:20 | Speaker 4:

Talking about your butthole?

00:23:20 - 00:23:23 | Speaker 1:

They just talk and speak. Yeah.

00:23:23 - 00:23:28 | Speaker 5:

I think that, I think it's impository. It's like, maybe they're into that.

00:23:28 - 00:23:45 | Speaker 1:

That's pretty intimate to me. And yesterday, we wrote the story of Detroit rapper Dank DeMoss and the Lyft driver who refused to give her a ride because of her weight. We also spoke to her attorney. This morning, Fox 2 Detroit's Jessica Dupnack speaks with Dank herself.

00:23:45 - 00:23:51 | Speaker 3:

Have you been in cars that time? Yes, I have. I've been in cars smarter than that, you know?

00:23:51 - 00:23:58 | Speaker 2:

Deja Blanding tells us she was just trying to get to a Detroit Lions watch party this month when her lift rolled up.

00:23:58 - 00:24:01 | Speaker 3:

As I'm walking, I see him, like, making faces or whatever. I'm like, oh, man.

00:24:01 - 00:24:05 | Speaker 2:

She already knew. I can fit in this car. No, believe me, it's him.

00:24:05 - 00:24:07 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I can. Believe me.

00:24:07 - 00:24:10 | Speaker 2:

He told her there's not enough room in his car.

00:24:10 - 00:24:16 | Speaker 3:

The kicker part was when he started to talk about his tires. You know, I feel like that was a slap in the face.

00:24:16 - 00:24:23 | Speaker 2:

that was like the my tires you know like the driver said his tires could not handle her weight

00:24:23 - 00:24:26 | Speaker 3:

every big person you turned on because they can't fit in your car

00:24:26 - 00:24:45 | Speaker 2:

no i don't never have to order uber excel he apologized canceled the ride and left her there the rapper says she's pretty tough I'll listen to the music. Dane DeMoss, as she's known at the mic, is crushed by the whole situation.

00:24:45 - 00:24:50 | Speaker 3:

I just want them to know, like, it really hurt my feelings.

00:24:50 - 00:24:52 | Speaker 2:

It looks like a lift might be hurting pretty soon, too.

00:24:53 - 00:24:54 | Speaker 5:

I knew it was illegal, and I knew that it was wrong.

00:24:54 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 2:

Her attorneys, John Marco and Zach Runyon, say weight is a protected characteristic in...

00:25:00 - 00:25:14 | Speaker 1:

Michigan by law. It would be no different than a driver pulling up and saying you know I don't want to have black people in my car or I don't want to have Christians in my car or Muslims in my car. It's the same under the law. It's the same. The lawsuit is filed since she posted the

00:25:14 - 00:25:19 | Speaker 6:

encounter on social media. Other full-figured folks have reached out saying the same thing

00:25:19 - 00:25:30 | Speaker 7:

happened to them. I can fit in this car. Believe me. Yes I can. I really want people to see like what we go through as bigger people you know we did reach out to Lyft they did

00:25:30 - 00:25:52 | Speaker 6:

not get back with us in time for this story now Lyft, Uber, those rideshare companies they can refuse passengers based on a perceived security threat but according to Deja's attorneys you cannot discriminate based on someone's weight it's very clear in that cell phone video that is why he denied her ride reporting live on Detroit's Westside Jessica Dupnack on the edge

00:25:52 - 00:25:55 | Speaker 3:

man by the way that story went viral yesterday I saw it everywhere I mean

00:25:55 - 00:26:15 | Speaker 2:

national it's it's going to be interesting because i guess there's like different terms that show that the driver's association with lyft is just as a contracted employee so lyft has legal things in there that protect them from stuff like this and separate them it's like the driver

00:26:15 - 00:26:21 | Speaker 3:

basically runs his own business and i don't know if you guys remember do you remember back when

00:26:21 - 00:26:54 | Speaker 2:

it was in Kalamazoo, there was the Uber guy that shot and killed people and stuff like that it was more than a decade I think ago, I think Uber in that lawsuit kind of changed the way that these apps were able to work and do these different laws but I don't know, I said this yesterday and I'll say this again, I think that that was pure discrimination on their part and if he's representing Lyft yeah, go ahead and sue him And we're going to hear from Lyft later today. So for the first time, you'll hear what their comments are about this.

00:26:54 - 00:26:59 | Speaker 3:

Get yourself caught up by checking out the Dirties on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

00:27:01 - 00:27:06 | Speaker 1:

Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source, is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:27:08 - 00:27:30 | Speaker 2:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. Oh, look who's on with us. And a lot of people were wanting to get a well check on him. Eric, 15-time champion. Eric, we understand that you had to go in to get some medical care on Monday, and that's why we missed you on Monday. Are you doing okay?

00:27:31 - 00:27:36 | Speaker 4:

We're doing good. We are back, baby. I love it. Medical care in America.

00:27:36 - 00:27:41 | Speaker 2:

Let's go, man. So what was it, that bronchitis thing that you had that you were telling us about?

00:27:42 - 00:27:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, man, it got me pretty good. Um, and then, uh, probably by Sunday, I was like, yeah, I can't, I can't really breathe anymore. I should probably go get this looked at.

00:27:52 - 00:27:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, geez.

00:27:52 - 00:27:57 | Speaker 4:

Well, a little bit of, uh, IV medication and we're all back, baby.

00:27:58 - 00:28:06 | Speaker 2:

I love it. You sound great. Well, here's, here's the deal. Uh, Shannon beat you because you, uh, forfeited, unfortunate, I'm just kidding.

00:28:09 - 00:28:10 | Speaker 3:

You sound so much better.

00:28:11 - 00:28:15 | Speaker 2:

We'll play a special edition if you want to. When do you think you can come in studio?

00:28:16 - 00:28:25 | Speaker 4:

Listen, I can, like, next Friday would be the best. I have easy light days on Friday. Okay. Here's the deal.

00:28:27 - 00:28:36 | Speaker 2:

We'll do our regular five at 6.55, but we'll do a special edition of it, Lydia, late in the show. Yeah. So we don't ever give people an opportunity to hear what that sounds like. So we'll have you come in.

00:28:37 - 00:28:37 | Speaker 1:

Hello, old me.

00:28:37 - 00:28:42 | Speaker 2:

We will do it. We'll do the five at 9.55 or something like that.

00:28:42 - 00:28:46 | Speaker 7:

Wait, should we put, like, his inhalation in, like he has to bring us something?

00:28:46 - 00:28:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you know what? Just anything but bronchitis.

00:28:50 - 00:28:51 | Speaker 7:

Oh, he said he already knows.

00:28:51 - 00:28:56 | Speaker 2:

Wait. Illegal paraphernalia? Maybe some of your drugs that are left over?

00:28:57 - 00:29:00 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you know, it's going to be a care package. A lot of stuff.

00:29:00 - 00:29:04 | Speaker 2:

All right. Lydia, we'll talk to you and range all that for you. We're glad that you're better, man.

00:29:05 - 00:29:16 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55. And since he's been on with us, we have not had a longtime champion.

00:29:16 - 00:29:29 | Speaker 2:

We had a new winner yesterday. Her name is Isabella. She is back this morning. Isabella, welcome back to the show. Hi, good morning. Good morning. Let's get to know you. Tell us a little bit about yourself.

00:29:30 - 00:29:36 | Speaker 5:

Well, I am from Maryland, so it's a little bit odd. You guys don't get a lot of people from a different state.

00:29:36 - 00:29:37 | Speaker 2:

I like it.

00:29:37 - 00:29:43 | Speaker 5:

Um, I'm 21. I work at a military hospital in the IVF unit.

00:29:43 - 00:29:44 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:29:44 - 00:29:45 | Speaker 5:

So that's a little bit about me. That's cool.

00:29:46 - 00:29:47 | Speaker 2:

Do you live, work at Bethesda?

00:29:48 - 00:29:49 | Speaker 5:

I do.

00:29:49 - 00:30:00 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing. That's the president's hospital. That's where, you know, they bring all the presidents to. That's like the biggest and best hospital around. So it's nice to have you on with us. Thanks for listening.

00:30:00 - 00:32:59 | Speaker 1:

listening on the iHeartRadio app, your challenger this morning. We got two people, not even from one of our radio station listening areas, but our iHeart app listening areas. Seth is from Cleveland. You work for a Toyota dealership in Cleveland? I do, yes. What dealership is that? It's a car dealership. It's a classic dealership. Oh, a classic car dealership. That's pretty cool. I thought I said it worked at a Toyota dealership. Well, do you want to shout it out at all? We might have some listeners in Cleveland and my good buddy Rover is in Cleveland. So I'll have to tell them about you guys. It's okay. All right. People act like they're in the CIA when they work for a company that they could give a $1,000 shout-out to. Isabella, I'm going to lock you up in a soundproof area. You will not hear anything, and then you will hear from Lydia. Okay? So hold on one second. Don't go anywhere. Five at 6.55, five pop culture trivia questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion. Seth is going to go first. Question number one, Seth. The Jonas Brothers are back this Christmas with a new movie that will premiere on Disney+. Name the three brothers, all three of them. Nick, Joe, and Kevin. Question number two. The game between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs had a record audience of more than 57 million viewers. Was that game for the AFC or NFC championship? The first one. The AFC, you say? Yeah. Okay, question number three. Oprah turns 71 years old today. Happy birthday, Oprah! What is Oprah's longtime partner's first name? Three seconds. I'll pass. Question number four. President Trump has asked Elon Musk to go get the two American astronauts who are currently stuck in space. What's the name of Elon's space company? Three seconds. I'll pass. Okay. And question number five. Rachel Kirkconnell. Yeah, Kirkconnell. Is that right? Kirkenell appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast yesterday to open up about her split from Matt James. What reality show are Rachel and Matt from? I'll pass. Oh, my gosh. Come on, Toyota, man. Wow. All right. Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area. Seth, he only got two out of five. No, come on. Not the greatest show. Two out of five? I thought he had more than that, but no. Jesus Christ, I met some dumb bastards in my time, but you outdo them all.

00:32:59 - 00:35:21 | Speaker 1:

All right, he passed on the last three questions, so I guess you're right. Yeah, that would be three out of five. Here we go, Isabella. Question number one. The Jonas Brothers are back this Christmas with a new movie that will premiere on Disney+. Name the three Jonas Brothers. so there's nick um joe and kevin yeah correct one one okay question number two the game between the buffalo bills and the kansas city chiefs had a record audience of more than 57 million viewers was that game for the afc or nfc championship oh this one's easy afc yes two to two Question number three, Oprah turned 71 years old today. Happy birthday, Oprah. What is Oprah's longtime partner's name? Oh, Lord. Three, two, one. I have no idea. Gail, no. We would have accepted that. We all know the truth behind that one. I'm sorry, Oprah. I apologize for that. Question number four. This is where you got to get a clean win. You got to get at least one of these next two right. President Trump has asked Elon Musk to go get the two American astronauts who are currently stuck in space. What's the name of Elon's space company? Three seconds. Wow. wow so that's a hard one yeah it is yeah it stays two to two though you missed you missed it past the buzzer yes spacex and the last question it comes down to this question here on whether or not you get a clean win otherwise you won with a tie and that would have been a very sad day. Two gets a win. Rachel Kirkenell appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast yesterday to open up about her split from Matt James. What reality show are Rachel and Matt from? Three seconds. The Bachelor?

00:35:21 - 00:35:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:35:22 - 00:36:52 | Speaker 1:

Correct. There you go. Three to two final score. I was breathing a sigh of relief. That was unreal there. Wow. Well, Seth, I appreciate you listening on the iHeartRadio app to the Mojo in the Morning show. We're going to set you up with a nice prize. We've got to thank the great sponsors of Disney on Ice for sponsoring this. We are giving away four tickets to Disney on Ice. Tickets are available for the show on February the 14th at Ticketmaster.com. And Isabella, you're back tomorrow going for three in a row. Let's see what happens, okay? All right. Sometimes I actually think it's good when we don't have like a 5 out of 5 15-time champion because it kind of makes people go, I can do this. I can do this or yell at the radio going, these are the dumbest people ever. You know what I mean? Like, I knew that. So if you want to play, text Iwantoplay to 95500 and we will get you on the show. It's Mojo in the mornings. 5 at 6.555. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations, one stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning, live. All right, text 5LIES to 95500 if you would like to be on 5LIES next week, and you know the stipulations that KP just gave you, so standard text and data rates to apply, and tell us in your text what it would be that you would lie to your mom about.

00:36:53 - 00:36:56 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Morning. Sweet.

00:36:56 - 00:37:01 | Speaker 1:

Five Lies to Tell Your Mom Missy, are you a good actress?

00:37:01 - 00:37:02 | Speaker 2:

I think so

00:37:02 - 00:37:05 | Speaker 1:

You're going to have to do some acting this morning for Five Lies to Tell Your Mom

00:37:05 - 00:37:07 | Speaker 2:

Awesome

00:37:07 - 00:37:24 | Speaker 1:

We're going to give you five completely fabricated lies unless you live a really fun life and you've actually had this happen to you Okay, alright Lie number one that you're going to tell your mom you're going to say, Mom, I need you to come home right now Lie number two

00:37:25 - 00:37:29 | Speaker 2:

Say after you left, and then use a guy's name, he came over.

00:37:30 - 00:37:33 | Speaker 1:

Okay. What guy's name can you use?

00:37:33 - 00:37:41 | Speaker 2:

There was this guy named Greg, and he was kind of stupid. We never, like, dated, but we were talking and hanging out, and she just thought he was an idiot. Okay, perfect.

00:37:41 - 00:37:47 | Speaker 1:

Okay, good. All right, lie number three. We were fooling around. Lie number four.

00:37:47 - 00:37:50 | Speaker 2:

He thought you were coming home, and he quickly left. Okay.

00:37:50 - 00:37:52 | Speaker 1:

And lie number five.

00:37:52 - 00:37:55 | Speaker 2:

But I'm still handcuffed to the bed. Oh, my God. She's going to kill me.

00:37:56 - 00:37:57 | Speaker 1:

Do you live with your mom?

00:37:57 - 00:37:58 | Speaker 2:

I do.

00:37:58 - 00:38:03 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right. Let's call up mom and let's see what happens for five lives. Tell your mom.

00:38:04 - 00:39:58 | Speaker 2:

Awesome. Hello. Hey, Mom. Listen? Yeah. I really, really need you to come home. Where are you? this isn't your phone number um well you remember greg who um greg you know that guy in that band that i was talking to that stupid guy yeah um after you left he came over he left his phone and it was the first one i could get to so i used at our house he's at our house yeah he was over at at our house. 00:40:00 - 00:40:25 | Speaker 1:

Mom, just please help me for, like, five minutes, and then we can deal with it after you go, like, to work. Listen, you do not want me to come home right now. I am so pissed off at you. I could just strangle you. You're not in my room, are you? Yeah. Yeah, I am going to f***ing kill you when I get home. All right, I'm going to tell Dad. What? Do not tell Dad. Please don't tell Dad.

00:40:26 - 00:40:34 | Speaker 3:

Mom, before you actually turn around to go home, This is Mojo in the Morning, and we had you on Five Lies to Tell Your Mom.

00:40:35 - 00:40:36 | Unknown:

Missy, what the heck?

00:40:39 - 00:40:40 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's a relief.

00:40:43 - 00:40:45 | Speaker 4:

Sounds like you like this Greg guy.

00:40:46 - 00:40:53 | Speaker 1:

No, he's an idiot. Oh, my God. My heart is racing. I feel like I love you, Mom.

00:40:53 - 00:40:59 | Speaker 3:

Was the visual in your head of Missy handcuffed to your bed after fooling around with this guy that you don't like?

00:41:00 - 00:41:06 | Speaker 1:

Uh-huh, yeah. Oh, yeah, I'm thinking immediately we're burning mattresses and comforters and getting a new bed.

00:41:08 - 00:41:09 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:41:11 - 00:41:11 | Unknown:

Sweet.

00:41:12 - 00:41:13 | Speaker 4:

Five lies to tell your mom.

00:41:14 - 00:41:27 | Speaker 3:

Hold on a second, hold on. What is it that somebody was asking you to, are you going to sell it to them or are you going to do it as a favor for them, Kevin? I'm not doing it at all. But what were they asking you for?

00:41:27 - 00:41:28 | Speaker 2:

They was asking for my pee.

00:41:29 - 00:41:29 | Speaker 3:

Wait, hold on.

00:41:29 - 00:41:38 | Speaker 2:

Like your penis? Oh. I can't have my penis. It's not detached. I don't know what you were talking about.

00:41:39 - 00:41:41 | Speaker 4:

That's why I looked at you like that. I'm like, wait, what?

00:41:41 - 00:41:45 | Speaker 3:

So they were asking you, was this a stranger or who was it?

00:41:45 - 00:41:59 | Speaker 2:

No, this is a family member. I ain't going to put them out there on blast, but this is a family member. Oh, is it a drug test situation? That's exactly what it is. They're getting a new job, and it's job drug tests, and they smoke weed. The job doesn't allow that. Don't take that job. Wait, what job?

00:41:59 - 00:42:05 | Speaker 4:

Truly, what job doesn't allow you to smoke weed when you go home? In a lot of Ohio jobs still have an issue with it. Even if it's legal? Really?

00:42:05 - 00:42:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I did not know that. No, you can't. Well, hospitals, too. You can't.

00:42:09 - 00:42:11 | Speaker 4:

Oh, well, that would make sense to me. Okay, yes.

00:42:11 - 00:42:12 | Speaker 3:

They don't want you high on the job.

00:42:13 - 00:42:18 | Speaker 4:

There are people who work in Michigan who still get drug tested if it's just against your company's policy or if they're a worldwide company.

00:42:18 - 00:42:22 | Speaker 3:

Wait, so they asked you. They asked you to pee for them.

00:42:23 - 00:42:27 | Speaker 2:

Why do you pee sitting down? You crap standing up. They say, can you pee in a cup?

00:42:27 - 00:42:36 | Speaker 3:

I got a test. How do they know that you're... Listen, out of everybody's pee on this show, I ain't choosing your pee. Why? Because I don't know where your pee's been. I don't know what you've done.

00:42:36 - 00:42:50 | Speaker 2:

Well, what color was my pee this morning? It might be a lighter yellow because I think I had some juice last night. I'm typically clear stream. Wait, you don't do any narcotics at all? I don't smoke. I don't sniff. I don't shoot up. All I do is sit.

00:42:50 - 00:42:51 | Unknown:

I'm on drugs!

00:42:52 - 00:42:58 | Speaker 2:

None at all. No, I haven't smoked weed, bro, in years. Really? Yeah, that's not my vibe no more. It's taking me somewhere I don't need to go.

00:42:58 - 00:43:02 | Speaker 3:

Why do your eyes always look a little glossy? That's just the shine of God.

00:43:03 - 00:43:06 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. It's a sparkle in your eyes. Is that what it is? Twinkle, twinkle.

00:43:06 - 00:43:24 | Speaker 3:

Interesting. I've always wondered this with the can I get your pee. Somebody needs to call us up and tell us, and this might be from back in the day, but could that work? because I've taken drug tests before and they make you go into a bathroom and it's got to be at certain temperature. I don't know if there are people that...

00:43:24 - 00:43:38 | Speaker 2:

A certain temperature. It does. I think it works. I mean, I've heard that certain jobs, they'll go in the bathroom with you. Like, they're not looking at your part to see the pee actually come out, but like they're physically in the restroom with you. That can't be illegal.

00:43:38 - 00:43:40 | Speaker 3:

They're making sure you don't pull bottles out.

00:43:40 - 00:43:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, baggies or anything like that.

00:43:42 - 00:44:08 | Speaker 3:

When I've done, I've done two drug tests in my life and the two drug tests that I've done, And both were going to this bathroom and it was a one-staller, but it was going to this bathroom and it was with the little sample cup or whatever it was. And it was the moment that you're done, you know, like they would tell you how to do it, which by the way, I got to be quite honest with you. I would always feel like a man because the cup always made me feel like a man because I would pee so much pee that I would overflow the cup.

00:44:08 - 00:44:14 | Speaker 4:

You only need to put a little bit in there. You don't just put the adequate amount in there and pee the rest in the toilet.

00:44:14 - 00:44:17 | Speaker 3:

I peed all over the cup, so they had to smell my pee.

00:44:18 - 00:44:33 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Because girls have to pee every time they go to the gynecologist. You don't fill it up? No. Dr. Werner gives you these little itty-bitty plastic cups. I fill it up maybe halfway, and then I set it on the ground, and then I pee the rest of my pee in the toilet. I need to take a pee-pee.

00:44:33 - 00:44:34 | Speaker 2:

Why don't you fill it up?

00:44:34 - 00:44:38 | Speaker 4:

Because why does it need to be, yeah, over the brim?

00:44:38 - 00:44:39 | Speaker 2:

You got to give it. You got to spill it over yourself.

00:44:39 - 00:44:44 | Speaker 3:

They only need a little bit. More, less is more, more is less.

00:44:44 - 00:44:47 | Speaker 2:

I feel that boy, yeah. If I got to go, might as well give them all a little bit.

00:44:48 - 00:44:51 | Speaker 3:

Sean, by the way, you ever have to give them a stool sample? Not yet.

00:44:52 - 00:44:55 | Speaker 4:

I have never had to do that. That's the worst. You give them your doo-doo?

00:44:56 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 3:

I had to give them. That was like the worst. Oh, that would be the day. They give you a little spoon.

00:45:00 - 00:45:10 | Speaker 2:

to scoop it with like literally it's like you know you know those uh the ice creams that come with their own little spoons that's what it looks like wait what if what if it's not solid that day

00:45:10 - 00:45:21 | Speaker 1:

well you gotta put it on do you gotta poop at home and bring it in like i do at the vet like bring charlie's poop in or do you have to depends or do you have to poop there i could not poop on

00:45:21 - 00:45:36 | Speaker 2:

demand no i brought it in i i did my first uh do you buckle it into your passenger seat oh i listen Listen, I figure if I'm going to get pulled over by a cop, that might get me out of the traffic ticket. I got bio-waste on my passenger seat. And I actually keep the seat warm, too.

00:45:37 - 00:45:39 | Speaker 1:

Some issues are the worst.

00:45:40 - 00:45:49 | Speaker 2:

Shauna, we were talking about how Kev was asked by a family friend member for his pee. What's going on?

00:45:50 - 00:46:02 | Speaker 7:

So my kids are eight, my boys are eight years apart, and my middle son was, like, you know, good in school, good in sports, while his brother is eight years older than him, so he would sell his piss to all of his brothers' friends.

00:46:02 - 00:46:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

00:46:03 - 00:46:13 | Speaker 7:

And make extra money in high school because his piss was clean. Like, people would literally be hitting me up asking me to get him out of school so they could get some pee. I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa.

00:46:13 - 00:46:13 | Unknown:

Whoa.

00:46:14 - 00:46:26 | Speaker 2:

By the way, I got to tell you, I don't know. Where are you from, by the way? Well, I'm from QS, Florida, but I live in Adrian. Whoa, whoa, whoa. I love that you call him piss.

00:46:26 - 00:46:27 | Speaker 7:

I was like, eh, my past.

00:46:28 - 00:46:28 | Speaker 2:

My son's been.

00:46:28 - 00:46:32 | Speaker 7:

Well, because I have a bunch of boys, so they're just, like, they're ruthless.

00:46:32 - 00:46:34 | Speaker 2:

I love it. Thank you, Mom, for calling in.

00:46:34 - 00:46:40 | Speaker 7:

Thank you. And you use a pocket warmer. Oh, is that what it's called? Pocket warmer.

00:46:42 - 00:46:46 | Speaker 2:

Is that, like, wait, is a pocket warmer like those things you hold on to if you're out at a football game?

00:46:47 - 00:46:51 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, it helps keep your urine warm. I mean, all the tricks.

00:46:52 - 00:47:00 | Speaker 2:

Man, oh, man. Thank you for the call. Ryan, what's going on? How are you? not too much what's going on nothing much we're uh talking about people selling their pee

00:47:00 - 00:47:23 | Speaker 3:

yeah well this was a family deal so i guess they got the family discount someone i used to work with had her son key in a bag and she taped it to the inside of her thigh so it'd be warm when she had to go take the test look at the bag bust like it's too risky i don't know i think you know honestly i think she might have used a condom oh i've heard that too yeah i like by the way the

00:47:23 - 00:47:29 | Speaker 2:

family deal all i think about is the la fontaine get the family deal on p that's awesome thank you

00:47:29 - 00:48:31 | Speaker 6:

for the call uh what's up elizabeth hey so i work for a company and we have truck drivers on staff i drive not a truck but a car for my job i had to take a drug test but our truck drivers have to passed drug test uh with no trace of marijuana because they have a cdl license okay okay okay and um and as far as kevin given his piss to his family member the people that do drug testing know when they grab that cup what temperature it should be i know the guy just said take a pocket warmer but you cannot walk into the bathroom with anything like they'll see stuff in your pockets you can't take a jacket you can't take a bag they will sometimes put a thermometer in the pee to make sure it's body temp so good luck to kevin's guy but they are way smart at these

00:48:31 - 00:48:43 | Speaker 2:

places yeah they've got detections i know on that they can tell what's going on uh initial b wants to be voices, guys. Listen to this one. Initial B, I'm looking at your comment here. What's up?

00:48:44 - 00:49:01 | Speaker 5:

So I have to take a drug test. And I knew I was going to fail, so I use a latex. And I use my little sister's pee because I knew she was clean. And I actually put it inside of me because I knew it needed to be warm. And so I just pinched it off.

00:49:02 - 00:49:18 | Speaker 2:

So wait. So your sister gives you hers, you put it in a latex condom, and then you put it in your vagina yeah and and then you go into the testing room and just break off the the

00:49:18 - 00:49:24 | Speaker 5:

thing or and put it into the thing so they i have i have long nails so i could pop it so oh my gosh

00:49:24 - 00:49:36 | Speaker 2:

finger pop question for you on this is this doing the testing because you're like in trouble with the law and you're not supposed to be doing drugs no it was for a temp service they watch you Okay.

00:49:37 - 00:49:42 | Speaker 4:

And I had to practice to pop it. So it wasn't the first try. It was a pass.

00:49:42 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 2:

You had to try to practice it. Because I know that there's a lot of people when their number gets or their color gets called, because I know it's, I think it's a color system. They'll, like, call, like, all the people that are blue have to go in and do tests for when you get in trouble, the law. I wonder if some of those people have to do that, too. Hey, Zoom.

00:50:00 - 00:50:02 | Speaker 1:

on the phone with us right now. What's up, Pezuz?

00:50:03 - 00:50:24 | Speaker 2:

Hey, sir. So, long-time listener, first-time caller. Hey, Pezuz! So, I actually went to take a drug test, and I knew that I was going to pee dirty for marijuana, so I asked my father to pee for me, and I got my result back a week later, and I got fired because I failed my job for cocaine.

00:50:24 - 00:50:29 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God! Shut up. That's insane. Oh, my God.

00:50:29 - 00:50:33 | Speaker 1:

Daddy is a booger singer. Did you know your dad did that?

00:50:34 - 00:50:40 | Speaker 2:

No. No. I had no clue at all. And then when I told him about it, he was like, dude, I totally forgot. I am so sorry.

00:50:40 - 00:50:41 | Speaker 6:

Oh, come on.

00:50:41 - 00:50:43 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

00:50:43 - 00:50:44 | Speaker 6:

That's crazy.

00:50:45 - 00:50:55 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my Lord. That is unbelievable. That is. What a crazy call that is. What's going on, Gabriel?

00:50:57 - 00:50:59 | Speaker 5:

What's up? First time, long time.

00:50:59 - 00:50:59 | Speaker 6:

Hey.

00:50:59 - 00:51:06 | Speaker 1:

Anytime we talk about drugs, we get all the first-time callers calling in. What's going on?

00:51:08 - 00:51:33 | Speaker 5:

Not much. I had a story where I had to drop for a job, and a buddy of mine, I had to have him urine in a balloon. I tied the balloon up, put the balloon in my underwear right underneath my genitals, had to go to the employer, and then had to put a needle to pop the balloon and then put it into the cup to be able to pass the test.

00:51:33 - 00:51:42 | Speaker 1:

Unreal. Were you worried at all about making the wrong move and having that balloon pop when you weren't supposed to have it pop?

00:51:42 - 00:51:57 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, absolutely. Actually, when I went to go pop it, it almost got stuck in the balloon, so it almost got to the point where I had to rip it. So then it would have just went everywhere. but luckily I was able to save it in time without making too much noise in the bathroom.

00:51:57 - 00:52:20 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Yeah, they go into the bathroom and you're here. I got the rubber of the balloon. And you got the job, right? Yeah, I hope. I hung up on him. You're fine. Hopefully that last guy's dad wasn't on. Dan, last call on this one here. What's going on, Dan? Not much. How about you, Mojo? I'm honestly dumbfounded. These calls have been fantastic this morning. What's going on?

00:52:20 - 00:52:58 | Speaker 4:

uh you saved the best for last this one's this one's just like uh basically like a strap-on but it's got a uh my buddy used to use it to pass his drug test um to pee for probation well you it's basically like a strap-on you wear it and it's got a bag attached to it and you use like a hand warmer too to hold the pee and I didn't touch it, but I was wondering how it worked. It's just like milking a cow if it comes out. Does this thing

00:52:58 - 00:52:59 | Speaker 1:

have a name?

00:53:00 - 00:53:01 | Speaker 4:

It's called the Wizinator.

00:53:02 - 00:53:04 | Speaker 7:

You made that up.

00:53:04 - 00:53:11 | Speaker 1:

It is the Wizinator? This is like a commercial in the middle of the night. Ron Popeil's Wizinator.

00:53:12 - 00:53:19 | Speaker 7:

But could you imagine if that thing ruptured while you're wearing it? Or can you imagine watching someone else's pee all over you?

00:53:20 - 00:53:29 | Speaker 1:

Or watching him milk the, uh, oh my God. Let me see. All I'm thinking about is, uh, meet the Fockers when he was talking about milking the cow.

00:53:29 - 00:53:33 | Speaker 7:

Oh, he's not joking. It looks like, I don't want to say it again, but.

00:53:33 - 00:53:36 | Speaker 4:

Oh, he looked it up instantly, huh? Oh, that's the best, Dan.

00:53:36 - 00:53:39 | Speaker 1:

I had to, bro. Appreciate you, buddy. Thanks for calling, Dan.

00:53:39 - 00:53:48 | Speaker 3:

Yup, have a good one. Bye. See, you could have been looking at the crap the other morning shows are talking about. But you heard that on Mojo in the Morning. Happy.

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:54:27 - 00:54:31 | Speaker 1:

We'll get you caught up on what's trending this morning. What's up, Shannon and the Dirty?

00:54:31 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 7:

Well, I haven't been able to watch the whole hour and 40 minutes yet, but I've skipped through it and Bachelor alum Rachel Corgonel sat down for the Call Her Daddy podcast yesterday to open up about why Matt James ended their four-year relationship during their trip to Tokyo a couple of weeks ago. Just absolutely shocking Bachelor Nation and she says the breakup it was absolutely came out of nowhere. I think things will start to

00:55:00 - 00:55:09 | Speaker 3:

come out and i'll speak about it that's the wrong clip always hold on is there another clip on there in the second column that's labeled rachel it's a little bit longer okay hold on i got it i think

00:55:09 - 00:55:15 | Speaker 5:

i got it i think i got it oh i got it right here yeah here we go here we go bad he was saying like

00:55:15 - 00:56:39 | Speaker 2:

it's okay it's okay so um and it was like okay now that we're back here again where like you're annoyed with me I'm annoyed with you I feel like you're in the wrong you feel like I'm in the wrong um he really just kind of let out everything that I guess he had been feeling for a while I don't know can you share some of that yeah I mean he just he said that at the end of the day there were just qualities about me that he worries about having in a wife like at the end of the day like there are things that we aren't compatible with and like the whole accountability and saying sorry and all that was really the main thing and um yeah it was just one of those things where he i think just had this realization that i should want to propose to you by this time like at this point in our relationship i should be wanting those things and i should be ready for that but i'm not yeah he said he basically told

00:56:39 - 00:56:57 | Speaker 3:

her like don't know if i want to propose to you can't see myself married to you and he told her that she wasn't his perfect person. So if you're following this story, if you have been following this story, he went on and posted this whole breakup post to her and about her, and she had no idea that they were even broken up.

00:56:57 - 00:56:58 | Speaker 5:

Oh, he broke up with her on social media?

00:56:59 - 00:57:01 | Speaker 3:

She was actually on a flight with no service.

00:57:01 - 00:57:02 | Speaker 5:

That's a load of crap.

00:57:03 - 00:57:15 | Speaker 3:

So, yeah, and that was it. She said he was faithful. There was no cheating. There was none of that drama. He just basically told her blatantly, I don't feel the urge to propose to you.

00:57:15 - 00:57:18 | Speaker 5:

When were they on The Bachelor? Oh, gosh, I can't remember. It was four years ago, five years ago?

00:57:19 - 00:57:20 | Speaker 3:

No, it wasn't. I don't think it was that long ago.

00:57:20 - 00:57:22 | Speaker 5:

Because you said that they've been together for how long?

00:57:22 - 00:57:24 | Speaker 3:

Maybe it was. I can't remember how long it's been.

00:57:25 - 00:57:31 | Speaker 5:

It's funny. I'm not even invested in this, but she talks so slow on that podcast there.

00:57:31 - 00:57:37 | Speaker 3:

I loved them together. Really? And she said never again. She will never take him back.

00:57:37 - 00:57:40 | Speaker 5:

Has anybody ever had long-lasting love on The Bachelor?

00:57:40 - 00:58:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, there actually have been a few. Really? Yeah. wow yeah diddy's former personal assistant claims he ordered him to have sex with a girl to prove his loyalty this guy philip pines uh worked for diddy between 2019 and 2021 so again this looked pretty recent broke down in tears while recalling the moment that diddy grabbed him by the shoulders during one of his notorious sex parties handed him a condom and said prove Your loyalty to me pointed to a girl, and that was it.

00:58:11 - 00:58:21 | Speaker 1:

This is the first time that I'm speaking about it. Something that I'll never forget, actually. I think my life changed a lot from that day, and I've never really recovered from it.

00:58:21 - 00:58:41 | Speaker 3:

Philip told Investigation Discovery that he reluctantly did what he was told, then ran out of the room when Diddy wasn't looking anymore. That interview is featured in The Fall of Diddy, that documentary that's currently on Max and Discovery+. He ended up suing Diddy last month for sexual battery, sexual harassment, and a couple of other little smaller claims as well.

00:58:42 - 00:58:51 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to just go ahead and say it. I'm going to be honest. If before I got this job, Tony brought me into a room and said, you have to have sex with this girl in order to work on the show.

00:58:51 - 00:58:53 | Speaker 3:

Prove your lawyer on the time.

00:58:53 - 00:58:58 | Speaker 4:

I'd be on the mic right now. You'd be honest. I'm going to do the weekend shit, too. Just saying.

00:58:59 - 00:59:21 | Speaker 3:

The Jonas Brothers is going to be starring in a Christmas movie for Disney+. It's kind of weird to jump from that Ditty story to the Jonas Brothers, but okay, I got to. The Jonas Brothers Christmas movie is going to follow Kevin, Joe, and Nick as they leave London, get back to New York before Christmas. It's not like a real-life movie. It's like, you know, I don't know. Disney Channel show. It's like a Disney Channel movie.

00:59:21 - 00:59:24 | Speaker 5:

Why are they talking about it now, though, the Christmas movie? That just seems like so early.

00:59:24 - 00:59:29 | Speaker 3:

They dropped a teaser for it yesterday, so I think they're just trying to, like, build up excitement.

00:59:29 - 00:59:30 | Speaker 5:

Oh, okay.

00:59:30 - 00:59:51 | Speaker 3:

Too much. white house press secretary caroline levy held her first press briefing yesterday before taking questions she said she had an update on all of those drones in new jersey remember that story that like all of a sudden went away very quickly they wouldn't tell us an update though they

00:59:51 - 00:59:56 | Speaker 5:

wouldn't tell us what the drones were all about uh they're still not telling yeah after research

00:59:56 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

and study the drones that were flying over New Jersey and

01:00:00 - 01:00:20 | Speaker 1:

large numbers were authorized to be flown by the FAA for research and various other reasons. Many of these drones were also hobbyists, recreational, and private individuals that enjoy flying drones. In time, it got worse due to curiosity. This was not the enemy.

01:00:20 - 01:00:26 | Speaker 4:

But a UFO expert by the name of Jeremy Corbel said that is straight up BS.

01:00:26 - 01:00:50 | Speaker 5:

That explanation does not make any sense. You know, did the FAA authorize the ones that buzzed Langley for 17 nights in a row or the untrackable drones that infiltrated three U.S. and U.K. air bases for weeks? You know, why were the drones not affected by anti-drone technology? Did the FAA issue flight restrictions if they authorized this?

01:00:51 - 01:00:57 | Speaker 8:

It seems a little suspicious. I still think these drones should never be allowed in the air.

01:00:57 - 01:00:59 | Speaker 4:

I agree with you.

01:00:59 - 01:01:11 | Speaker 8:

I think we're like moments away from one of them taking out a big aircraft and causing a major plane crash or something. And when that happens, I'll be right. Unfortunately, there'll be a lot of people dead. You know what I mean?

01:01:11 - 01:01:15 | Speaker 6:

Some of these shots look nice, though, bro, that we wouldn't be able to get if it wasn't for a drone.

01:01:15 - 01:01:23 | Speaker 8:

You got a bunch of goofy photographers and things that feel like they have this need that they can fly aircraft. You want that flying over your house in your head?

01:01:23 - 01:01:25 | Speaker 4:

I just think there needs to be more regulations.

01:01:25 - 01:01:33 | Speaker 2:

There are uncertain ones. So the ones that can get up to plane heights or those heights that would affect planes, you do have to have a license to pilot it.

01:01:33 - 01:01:40 | Speaker 8:

I'm worried about the idiot that flies it and, you know, loses control of his remote control. You guys, you know, those guys are like hobbyists that are idiots.

01:01:40 - 01:01:50 | Speaker 6:

I hear all that. There are thousands, if not millions of people out here with drones. Tens of thousands of people. There's too many. But where are these tragedy stories? Like, where are these tragic occurrences that you're so worried about?

01:01:50 - 01:01:55 | Speaker 8:

It takes just one. You get Josiah on his bicycle in the middle of summertime. That thing clips him in the head. You're going to feel the same way.

01:01:55 - 01:02:01 | Speaker 6:

That's what I'm saying. Drones have been around for years and years and years. And where is the fear coming from that you're anticipating?

01:02:01 - 01:02:07 | Speaker 8:

I don't want to see it. I don't want to see people flying drones. And I don't want to see guys riding on Vespas. Go ahead, Shannon.

Well, we love you so much. Thank you for being with us.

01:03:21 - 01:03:23 | Speaker 7:

I love you guys.

01:03:23 - 01:03:25 | Speaker 8:

Hey, thank you for listening to us. Where are you from?

01:03:27 - 01:03:28 | Speaker 7:

I'm from Redford, Redford.

01:03:28 - 01:03:31 | Speaker 8:

We love our Redford girls. Thank you for listening to the show.

01:03:31 - 01:03:35 | Speaker 7:

Thank you, Redford. Redford. Hey.

01:03:37 - 01:03:38 | Speaker 8:

Hold on one second, okay?

01:03:39 - 01:03:42 | Speaker 7:

Thank you so much. I love you guys. We love you back.

01:03:42 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 8:

Man, my God, I could talk to you all day. We love you too. Hold on one second, okay? Lydia's going to talk to you now. All right. It's Mojo in the morning. Thank you for listening to us. Have you guys heard about this iHeartRadio app thing? We've been talking about it in some of the promos that run, but I really want to spend just a moment to tell you that it really does make listening to this radio show so much easier, but also listening to all your favorite entertainment. On the iHeartRadio app, you actually now have what your car has for your car radio, presets. So there's a way for you to preset your favorite listen to items on iHeartRadio. Like, for instance, if you look at my presets, are we on the camera here? If you listen to my or see my presets, I've got Channel 955. I've got, let's see here, 104.5 S and X. I got 92.5 Kiss FM. I've got the Mojo in the Morning show. I've got even my son's show, the Joe show that I listen to. And I got them all preset. I used to have on there, and I have the We Don't Podcast. I used to actually have I Heart Christmas, but it's not Christmas anymore and I'm tired of Christmas music. I always wondered why do they have, do they actually still play Christmas music on I Heart Christmas? Like I have my Christmas tree up still? Yeah, yeah. I can listen to it year-round? Yeah. That's amazing.

01:05:00 - 01:05:28 | Speaker 1:

Um, but, uh, you can preset all your favorites and our show has a ton of different things that you can preset. So Mojo in the morning show podcast, uh, obviously just search Mojo in the morning, more Mojo, which is the after show podcast and how you can get, uh, Megan and Mike's podcast slightly messy. Uh, the, we don't podcast. You can search Mojo and then see Mojo's. We don't, that's the podcast that I do with Chelsea. Uh, I'm trying to think of other ones too.

01:05:28 - 01:05:36 | Speaker 2:

Could you imagine going online, though, and trying to pull up a Christmas song, and the app was like, no. Outside of date range, absolutely not.

01:05:36 - 01:05:52 | Speaker 1:

Can I be honest with you? It's funny. I love Christmas music. It makes me feel good, even if it's a snowy day or something like that. The music that, to me, you never hear people talk about it as much as they need to. I love Halloween music for some reason. I just love it.

01:05:52 - 01:05:54 | Speaker 2:

Wrong. Could you be more wrong?

01:05:54 - 01:06:04 | Speaker 1:

Thriller. My God, Nightmare on My Street, Monster Mash, Somebody's Watching Me.

01:06:04 - 01:06:07 | Speaker 2:

You don't like it? I hear each of those one time, and I'm like, I'm good.

01:06:07 - 01:06:10 | Speaker 1:

You're done? I'm good. Well, I've just driven off the road.

01:06:11 - 01:06:14 | Speaker 2:

But give me 17 different versions of Let It Snow, and I am a happy camper.

01:06:15 - 01:06:48 | Speaker 1:

It is good. All right, so iHeartRadio app, make sure that you check out the presets. All right, it's Mojo in the morning show. Yesterday, I did something on the show that was kind of just impromptu, but it was funny. We had my wife on, and while we were talking about, I think we were talking about how there's going to be AI wives or something. Yeah. And so I had Chelsea on asking her if I can get an AI version of her. And after the conversation was done, I said, I love you to her. And Chelsea just hung up the phone. Let me play it for you. Oh, God. All right. I'll talk to you later. I love you.

01:06:48 - 01:06:49 | Unknown:

All right. Bye.

01:06:49 - 01:06:52 | Speaker 1:

All right. Wait, I love you. I love you.

01:06:54 - 01:06:56 | Speaker 3:

Oh, see, I called right back.

01:06:56 - 01:06:57 | Speaker 1:

She just hung up. She called right back.

01:06:57 - 01:06:58 | Speaker 3:

I called right back.

01:06:58 - 01:07:02 | Speaker 1:

Hold on a second. Hold on. Dialing her back up. That's crazy.

01:07:02 - 01:07:05 | Speaker 3:

You think I'm joking? I really do that to people all the time.

01:07:06 - 01:07:11 | Speaker 1:

You can't do that to me. That's crazy. Hold on a second. You do it. Hey, I tell you.

01:07:11 - 01:07:13 | Speaker 3:

And when they answer, I'm like, what if I get into it?

01:07:16 - 01:07:19 | Speaker 2:

Don't answer her all day today. Act like you're dead. All day.

01:07:19 - 01:07:26 | Speaker 1:

That was mean. Like, you can't leave me hanging like that. How dare she? Oh, here she goes.

01:07:27 - 01:07:27 | Speaker 3:

Hello?

01:07:28 - 01:07:30 | Speaker 1:

All right, tell me you love me. You didn't say I love you back.

01:07:32 - 01:07:32 | Speaker 3:

I didn't?

01:07:33 - 01:07:36 | Speaker 1:

No. We love you too. Come on.

01:07:36 - 01:07:39 | Speaker 3:

You should just know that I do. Oh, I do.

01:07:40 - 01:07:43 | Speaker 1:

That is true, by the way. You do. I know you do. All right, I'll talk to you later.

01:07:43 - 01:07:45 | Speaker 3:

I love you. Bye.

01:07:45 - 01:09:16 | Speaker 1:

All right, so there you go. So that was yesterday. I had a listener come up to me yesterday. i was out i had some i had a lunch with uh one of our big executives here and then afterwards i ran us some errands and got my car washed and stuff and a listener come up big fan of the show said i heard chelsea not say you know i love you to you i love when you call her back and then told me oh what did i just do today was that me or is it oh i'm sorry what did i do i knocked something off by moving my microphone your filter oh i moved my my filter you guys a filter i have a filter what is the filter you have the mic oh my mic oh my light fell oh it's okay sorry about that let's we'll fix that so um sit still so the so the listener the listener said uh to me that was so funny when you call chelsea back but then they said and they got deep with me and they said that they've been married for years and i asked how long it's like more than 10 years it was like almost 11 years and they have not said I love you to their spouse and it was heartbreaking to me yes they said that no they said that they've said I love you before but they said that they're kind of like in their thing right now and they don't hate each other but they don't say I love you and it's wild because I think I'm the exact opposite I say I love you to the operator that answers my phone call i am the same way i tell everybody i love them which sometimes bothers chelsea because it makes her feel like i discount that those actual words i say it especially to my

01:09:16 - 01:09:41 | Speaker 3:

friends and my family and this is such a morbid thought but i'm like if this is the last time i ever talk to you or vice versa i want you to know i love you i think about that a lot and by the way if I say love you in a text message and like Wes, for example, or Lucy doesn't say it back. I do the eyes that are looking sideways. Like, hello. I said something, respond back.

01:09:41 - 01:09:53 | Speaker 2:

So every time Scott makes it on the show, I'll say, I love you. And he says, whatever. And it's very funny and I get it. It's like a running joke now, but I text him immediately and I'll say, tell me you love me right now or we're going to be fighting. Like you have to say it.

01:09:53 - 01:09:53 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:09:54 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 1:

I would love to know if there are any other listeners that are like, and maybe she's listening to the show.

01:10:00 - 01:10:11 | Speaker 3:

Um, are there any other listeners that, uh, don't say, I love you? Like they, you guys just don't tell you, tell your person that you'll, you know, that you're in a relationship with that you love them.

01:10:12 - 01:10:24 | Speaker 4:

I would be so insecure. I know. I want to go back to something you said about you saying, I love you to any and everybody. And maybe Chelsea perceives that. Is it not as special when you say it to her?

01:10:24 - 01:11:07 | Speaker 3:

Right. Like, do you, you really think that's a thing? Um, she has said that before. Like we've talked about that before because she says she she says, I don't need to tell you I love you all the time just for you to know that you love that. I love you. She says it's my actions that are speaking louder than the words that are speaking. Plus, you also say this. And honestly, I when I think about it, I've talked to my therapist about it. And my therapist has has said to me, he's like, you know what? She brings up a really good point, you know, that you shouldn't have to always hear it. But also, maybe you've discounted the actual words, I love you, by who you're telling you love them. A complete stranger you're telling that you love them.

01:11:07 - 01:11:25 | Speaker 6:

But don't you say it different when it's a stranger? Yeah. I think so. I was on the phone with AT&T the other day, and the woman helped me with something that I needed help with. And I was like, oh, my God, I love you. I say that very different if I'm saying it to my kids or, you know, my husband or my sister.

01:11:25 - 01:11:36 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, but have you ever freaked somebody out with it that wasn't like, oh, relationship, you're saying it for the first time? I don't know. I mean, probably. Yeah, I absolutely freaked out my brother's girlfriend by saying it to her for the first time.

01:11:36 - 01:11:38 | Speaker 3:

What did she do? Did she just look up?

01:11:38 - 01:11:55 | Speaker 5:

But that could be you love her, actually love her. I genuinely do, but I definitely left the house being like, love you guys, and she was like, do I love you? Like, she was like, do I say it back? And I was like, well, I enjoy having you around. You don't have to say it back, but it would be nice.

01:11:56 - 01:12:18 | Speaker 3:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. I'm looking for a song here right now. I don't know. It's the Nicki Minaj flute. No, but you know what it is? That's what she used it from. Cardigans, Loveful. No. Never heard this. No more I Love You. Annie Lennox. I'm looking for I Love You songs. Hold on a second. All right, this one here.

01:12:18 - 01:12:20 | Speaker 4:

Give me the Acorn Snoop Dogg.

01:12:20 - 01:12:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Akon, which one?

01:12:24 - 01:12:27 | Speaker 4:

I want to love you. Oh, I want to love you, yeah.

01:12:29 - 01:12:38 | Speaker 3:

Logan, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. What's up, Logan? How you doing? Hi, Logan. Logan?

01:12:39 - 01:12:39 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Logan.

01:12:40 - 01:12:42 | Speaker 3:

There you are. Hey, what'd you do, mute your phone?

01:12:42 - 01:12:46 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was listening and I muted it, forgot, sorry.

01:12:47 - 01:12:50 | Speaker 3:

No, that's okay. What's going on? We're talking about people that don't say I love you.

01:12:50 - 01:13:31 | Speaker 1:

yeah so i wouldn't consider myself a person that doesn't say i love you but like you know if i say like i love you like my grandma or my girlfriend or my brother or something like that and like you know i'll say it back instantaneously i'll say to them i have no issue with that whatsoever but like i'm weird about it when it's anybody that's not family or my my somebody that i'm romantically involved with like you know my best friend i've been friends with him for like 11 years now and And he'll be the best man at my wedding, and I'll be the best man at his wedding. But, like, if he ever says, like, oh, I love you, bro, to me, too, it's like I just, like, I can't really say it. I just, like, I feel weird about it. Interesting.

01:13:31 - 01:13:48 | Speaker 3:

It's funny. It is funny when you do say it to your buddy. You always got to say bro at the end of it. You know what I mean? Yeah, right. But it is weird that you just say that you just can't say it back to him. But I know that if he's your best buddy and he's going to be your best man at your wedding, you do love him, right?

01:13:48 - 01:14:06 | Speaker 5:

oh yeah yeah i actually wish guys did this more um my brother and his best friend started doing this because they were noticing guys don't give each other compliments and and friends don't tell each other that they love each other like women do and i wish more guys had the confidence to say

01:14:06 - 01:14:28 | Speaker 4:

it because you don't hear it enough i text the group chat this morning god bless y'all i love y'all be encouraged today that is so important i think this has just started within the last year to my friends and I started to say I love you because for a while for some reason it just didn't feel masculine maybe that comes from what we were taught as kids and trauma and who defined what masculinity is and it being completely wrong but fully agree Megan we need to start saying that

01:14:28 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 2:

Jeanette what's up it's Mojo in the morning hi hi good morning um I guess I just wanted to say I'm kind of I'm like Shannon I grew up in a family where we say I love you all the time we get off the phone okay I love you bye we leave the house okay I love you bye when I got married my husband did not say i love you he was not a romantic type of guy at all um but he is slowly coming around and he says it every once in a while and now i guess it's even more in enduring because now he says it to the kids right because we have kids

01:15:00 - 01:15:05 | Speaker 3:

now yeah um so it's just it makes it more special because you know it was something that he never

01:15:05 - 01:15:16 | Speaker 5:

grew up with yeah um but yeah you know what it is honestly i think that that softens you a little bit when you do have kids uh what's up mary hi what's going on hey uh yeah i'm totally like

01:15:16 - 01:15:47 | Speaker 1:

shannon as well i'm so terrified that if i don't say i love you afterwards then that will be the last time and if i don't hear it back i'm like no no you have you have to tell me you love me And I'll do the repeat phone call until you say, you have to tell me you love me. And my dad passed away this past year and we didn't talk a whole ton. And, um, but I think about the last conversation we had and it was always, I love you at the very end of the conversation.

01:15:47 - 01:16:07 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that's sweet. That is sweet. I, and I get it. And I get some people, you know, uh, won't say that and it freaks you out because you have an experience like that where you got to say i love you and you don't want that not to be the unspoken words of your last conversation yeah ashley this is a sad one ashley how long were

01:16:07 - 01:16:15 | Speaker 3:

you guys in a relationship yeah yeah that was in a relationship for four and a half four and a half

01:16:15 - 01:16:21 | Speaker 5:

years never said i love you he never said i love you is that unreal so if you said it to him what

01:16:21 - 01:16:22 | Speaker 2:

would be his response?

01:16:24 - 01:16:27 | Speaker 3:

Nothing. He just would blow it off and act like he never said anything.

01:16:28 - 01:16:33 | Speaker 4:

Wow. Why did you last for four years with him? And is that the reason why y'all broke up?

01:16:35 - 01:16:45 | Speaker 3:

Yes and no. There was other issues, but I mean, ultimately, yeah, it wasn't going to go anywhere, so it was just pointless at that point.

01:16:46 - 01:16:46 | Speaker 5:

Man.

01:16:47 - 01:16:47 | Speaker 4:

I, oh.

01:16:47 - 01:16:51 | Speaker 5:

Do you think that he loved you? Do you feel like he loved you without saying the words?

01:16:51 - 01:17:05 | Speaker 3:

yes to a certain extent but i came from a family where he always said i love you to this day every time he got off the phone everything he would always say i love you so it's just so weird

01:17:05 - 01:17:15 | Speaker 5:

but like my wife says actions are speaking louder than words unfortunately you guys are no longer together and you guys had other issues but i i do think that four and a half years of not saying i

01:17:15 - 01:17:20 | Speaker 4:

love you that would get to me that would be tough i hear and i understand the actions speak louder

01:17:20 - 01:17:32 | Speaker 5:

than words but like saying it is an action but yeah i agree i agree and honestly everybody has you know we talk about love languages everybody has different love languages i mean if yours is

01:17:32 - 01:17:37 | Speaker 3:

words of affirmation you need to hear that back i need to hear it once if you don't tell me about

01:17:37 - 01:18:04 | Speaker 2:

like month four right why am i here kim what's up hi i was saying i don't say i love you either i'm kind of like chelsea on the same page that your actions are speak louder than words but you know my mom growing up every time we'd have to say good night to her and give her a kiss and hug good night if she said she didn't love us at the end that meant she was mad at us for the day

01:18:04 - 01:18:17 | Speaker 5:

so that so it does but that's amazing that you say that and then yet and it obviously affected you enough as a child that it doesn't make you want to say it right I don't yeah I don't feel

01:18:17 - 01:18:36 | Speaker 2:

like it the words need to be spoken for someone to know that you love them wow so I've actually dated guys where it bothered them that I didn't say that and my girlfriends they'll say oh I love you like when we're saying goodbye and I just feel weird saying that like I don't know it's

01:18:36 - 01:19:33 | Speaker 5:

interesting whenever we are traveling separately my wife and i are traveling separately i have to tell her i love her before she either leaves the ground or i leave the ground and if the response doesn't come back and i can't get on the delta wi-fi i'm freaking out i know it sounds weird to say that the whole flight i'm thinking god i hope that nothing happens but honestly it's probably something that stems from my childhood you know and in uh losses and all the rest but All right, it's Mojo in the Morning.

01:19:33 - 01:19:36 | Speaker 4:

01:20:44 - 01:20:48 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if that makes it official, but it definitely makes it on its way.

01:20:48 - 01:21:00 | Speaker 1:

The last time that we had a conversation, we were kind of talking a little bit about this relationship and everything that's going on. But KP has given him a drawer in her place.

01:21:01 - 01:21:04 | Speaker 3:

This is after agreeing to go on vacation with him.

01:21:04 - 01:21:11 | Speaker 1:

Yes. That was not official enough that they were going to go away on a trip together after just knowing each other for a matter of, what, weeks?

01:21:12 - 01:21:15 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Is this like a bathroom drawer, a nightstand drawer, a dresser drawer?

01:21:15 - 01:21:21 | Speaker 3:

It's in my dresser. I actually moved my clothes out of this drawer and let him use that drawer. Okay, now wait a second.

01:21:22 - 01:21:24 | Speaker 5:

Have you guys had the what are we conversation yet?

01:21:25 - 01:21:34 | Speaker 3:

We have had a lot of intention conversations. Like, we've talked about that multiple times. I think he wants to do something to ask me. That's cute.

01:21:34 - 01:21:45 | Speaker 4:

Can I double back on what Shannon asked, though? Is there different levels of significance based on where the drawer is located? Because you asked if it was the bathroom or the bedroom.

01:21:46 - 01:21:59 | Speaker 3:

I think it depends on the size of the drawer more. Because if you give somebody, like, an itty-bitty drawer, that means, like, they're not putting their clothes in there. Maybe it's only a couple things. But I gave him, like, my dresser drawer. You moved your stuff out.

01:21:59 - 01:22:15 | Speaker 4:

I was going to say, because, like, in my dresser, I have empty dresser drawers right now currently. There's nobody staying the night. So I am open and available if you're interested. I was going to say, that sounds like an invitation. Yeah, no worries. But if I gave you bathroom space right now, ooh, that's love.

01:22:15 - 01:22:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's never happening. I don't have enough room in the bathroom for me. Apartment bathrooms suck. Is he leaving a lot of stuff at your apartment, though? Yes. I don't know what it is about men, but when they come over, it's like a tornado whip through the place. They got their blender bottle on the table. They got their wallet. They got their keys. They got their blender. It's what they use to get to go to the gym. What a man. He brings his gym clothes. I got gym clothes in my hamper. I got, like, I mean, he feels like he's practically moving in at this point. So I just, like, all right, just hide it in a drawer. So he's coming over a lot. He's spending a lot of time at the place. Yeah, I'd say he's over, like, every other day.

01:22:54 - 01:23:00 | Speaker 4:

Is he leaving spare protein powder at your place? He does leave things at my place. And he's got space in the kitchen.

01:23:00 - 01:23:05 | Speaker 3:

He buys groceries to put in my fridge. Oh, y'all moving in, buddy. Y'all married.

01:23:06 - 01:23:06 | Speaker 1:

Hey, wait.

01:23:06 - 01:23:08 | Speaker 4:

You're going to get pregnant soon. No.

01:23:08 - 01:23:17 | Speaker 1:

Here's a big thing Here's a big thing to see if his love For you is as much as your love for him Did he give you any drawers at his place?

01:23:17 - 01:23:22 | Speaker 3:

We don't go to his place Does he have a place? I get that What is up with these guys?

01:23:22 - 01:23:26 | Speaker 4:

Where does he live? He lives in Warren I get that though, you have a better place

01:23:26 - 01:23:32 | Speaker 3:

I have to be minutes from work Honestly everything he does Is to be more convenient for me

01:23:32 - 01:23:40 | Speaker 4:

To be fair And KP back me up on this Our places are usually nicer than the dudes Yeah. So, like, I don't want to go to your place.

01:23:40 - 01:23:49 | Speaker 5:

You guys need to go to my bed. I stayed at Wes's place, like, I could count on one hand, I think, how many times. I just liked, I like staying in my bed a million percent better.

01:23:49 - 01:23:55 | Speaker 2:

That's more so what it is. I think as a guy. Waking up with my stuff. The girl is already more comfortable in her environment, and we want you comfortable.

01:23:55 - 01:24:01 | Speaker 4:

Plus, if I have to pack to go over there, it's going to take forever. Bring a pair of boxers and a t-shirt. We're good.

01:24:01 - 01:24:02 | Speaker 2:

And then I don't have to worry about you leaving anything.

01:24:03 - 01:24:03 | Speaker 4:

Right.

01:24:03 - 01:24:04 | Speaker 2:

If you're at my place.

01:24:05 - 01:24:15 | Speaker 1:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I just want to throw this out. It doesn't have to be a drawer. It could be something else. What is the sign that it is officially a relationship?

01:24:16 - 01:24:17 | Speaker 5:

Have you farted in front of him yet?

01:24:17 - 01:24:18 | Speaker 3:

On accident.

01:24:18 - 01:24:19 | Speaker 5:

You know she'd be.

01:24:19 - 01:24:35 | Speaker 3:

Maybe you'd be farting. Really? Yeah, I farted on accident. I was trying not to fart in front of him. I want to leave a little element of surprise there. I don't want to show him all my cards. Have you gotten really drunk in front of him yet? I've gotten wine tipsy.

01:24:36 - 01:24:47 | Speaker 5:

Has he gotten really drunk in front of you? Because I firmly believe that the relationship cannot proceed until you see how the other person is when they've had some drinks in them. Because that can totally change somebody's personality.

01:24:47 - 01:24:56 | Speaker 3:

I've seen him tipsy. And I think that, yes, I agree with you. That matters. He's exactly like me when I'm tipsy. He's silly and chatty.

01:24:56 - 01:25:18 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you what I thought was one of my first official? with Chelsea, who was first official to talk about how they are when they're drunk. First official when she went and was sick for the first time. And how the person reacts to you being sick. Like, are they the person that wants to take care of you? Are they the person that wants to stay away from you? Like, there's a lot of times people are like, get me away from germs. I'll do you one

01:25:18 - 01:25:35 | Speaker 3:

better. I got Halo on my face which is like a laser treatment. And it made my face swell up to the size of literal grapefruits. Like, my cheeks were so big my skin was scabby. You weren't looking at your eyes. I looked terrible. I looked like I got stung by 800 bees, and he stayed the whole weekend.

01:25:35 - 01:25:40 | Speaker 1:

Wow, that's nice if he sticks around through that. Yeah. Christina, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

01:25:41 - 01:25:42 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Mojo. How are you?

01:25:42 - 01:25:43 | Speaker 1:

Fantastic. What's going on?

01:25:44 - 01:25:50 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Well, first, I would like to say I love all of you guys, but Megan, I love you. You know what?

01:25:50 - 01:25:54 | Speaker 1:

That is not nice to pinpoint one person unless it's me. It's funny.

01:25:56 - 01:25:59 | Speaker 3:

You've never said that to anybody else when they get a shout out.

01:25:59 - 01:26:01 | Speaker 1:

I'm not even listening to you anymore. Go ahead, Christina.

01:26:02 - 01:26:21 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I love all of you. But yeah. Love you the most. KP, I just wanted to say, I think he's just marking his territory. He's leaving everything around. So if any other guy happens to stop by, they know that you're taken.

01:26:22 - 01:26:25 | Speaker 2:

It's like a dog pissing on a tree. Oh, wow. Okay.

01:26:26 - 01:26:33 | Speaker 6:

Is there a boundary for you, KP? Is there anything that he's tried to leave that you said, no, you need to, that needs to stay at your house?

01:26:34 - 01:26:43 | Speaker 3:

No, but I think that if I didn't like him, none of that would be happening. Like if I was seeing somebody else that I didn't actually have feelings for, I would not let them leave anything in my house.

01:26:44 - 01:26:53 | Speaker 1:

This is a big one. 734 says, can't talk on the phone, but it's official when they shave at your house and leave their shaving stuff.

01:26:53 - 01:26:54 | Speaker 3:

That is so disgusting.

01:26:54 - 01:26:55 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I thought you meant it.

01:26:55 - 01:26:58 | Speaker 3:

He has contacts that he leaves at my place.

01:26:58 - 01:27:25 | Speaker 1:

No, contacts is a big one. Toothbrushes, all that stuff, like the officials. I actually know a guy who's single, single guy, he's been divorced, whatever. You go into his house, you open up a drawer, and he's got, it looks like he's got a bunch of toothbrushes, he's got a bunch of razors, all disposables. It looks like you're going to Lifetime Fitness, and he's got all that stuff, but to me, I said to him that shouts to every woman that comes you have a million coming to

01:27:25 - 01:27:52 | Speaker 6:

your place I think it's like that I do think that way like Wes Wes after we had been dating and I spent the night foot for the first time at his house and he knew I was gonna spend the night that night he made me like a little like bag but it just had like one of those things he had just a stockpile I'd think he's a of horror you go into scott mc's spare bedroom or not bare bedroom spare bathroom jesus christ

01:27:52 - 01:28:01 | Speaker 3:

i am melting down and you're her favorite um yeah that's that's that's bad oh my god

01:28:01 - 01:28:18 | Speaker 1:

anyways no sure uh no yo yan hi yo yan we're gonna get megan's thoughts after she gets her computer rebooted what's going on what's good with you hi buddy what's happening

01:28:18 - 01:28:57 | Speaker 2:

no i wanted to comment on this whole uh the the issues of love you're having this morning i'm loving this ride to work listening to you guys oh thank you i wanted to state okay yeah it's all good i wanted to state like um guys leaving stuff over a woman's house um that that's that's a funny kind of thing because we do that subconsciously we don't like oh i'm gonna intentionally take my favorite sweater and leave it at her house or i'm gonna you know what i'm saying we don't like do that you know what i mean but if we if we kind of fill in the bay then yeah we we're gonna just be like yeah i'll leave that her house like it doesn't happen it's like it's not a plan it's not

01:28:57 - 01:29:17 | Speaker 3:

intentional but she's it's him being logical it's him being i'm gonna be here more often so i need to bring my stuff here and him doing it mindlessly but and also she was offering right you offered the drawer no i mean i it was kind of like he didn't ask for it but i just was like you knew that he was bringing so much stuff he had so much stuff and i couldn't stand on the floor so he

01:29:17 - 01:29:47 | Speaker 2:

complained about the wallet the watch the the keys that you know saying all the stuff is around and you know it's subconsciously a guy is marking his territory you know because he feels like this This is a space that he belongs in, so he can leave his stuff there, you know? But if you ever move his stuff, like you're hiding it or you're getting rid of it, I guarantee you he's going to notice. I guarantee. Where's my shirt? What'd you do with my shirt?

01:29:48 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, don't mix it up in one of her drawers. They'll think something's weird going on. Yo-yan, thank you. What's up, Michelle? Hi.

01:29:55 - 01:29:57 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. How are you guys? Good.

01:29:57 - 01:29:57 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

01:29:58 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 5:

Good!

01:30:00 - 01:30:34 | Speaker 1:

So when me and my now fiance started dating, I have, you know, three grown children. I just, you know, I was out of a divorce after 24 years and him as well. But I knew it was official, not just because he did things for me, but so this was really like the first time he met my kids and my daughter, my daughter needed new brakes on her car, rotors, like, and her finances were not very good at the time. And then he's like, I'll be at your house, you know, at our house next weekend. He went and got the rotors, got the brakes.

01:30:35 - 01:30:53 | Speaker 2:

Wow. So he did something nice for your kid. That's, I think that's actually special. I mean, obviously you're smart enough to not have them meet your kids right away. But once you introduce them and then you find that he treats them like they're his kids. Yeah, that's a, that's a given. JC is an interesting one. JC, when did you know it was official that you were dating?

01:30:53 - 01:31:01 | Speaker 1:

My boyfriend gave me his credit card and told me to go buy anything that I needed to stay there. I like this one.

01:31:03 - 01:31:07 | Speaker 2:

Zachary, if you're listening, leave it on the dresser.

01:31:07 - 01:31:09 | Speaker 3:

You also just called him by his full name.

01:31:09 - 01:31:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Zachary. Wow. And Deshaun with a comment here. Deshaun, what's your take on this?

01:31:18 - 01:31:22 | Speaker 4:

I think any man that moves in with a woman is a simp. That's just my take on it.

01:31:22 - 01:31:24 | Speaker 2:

Talk your talk then. Why, Deshaun?

01:31:24 - 01:32:03 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm going to tell you. First off, you don't have no business moving in with a woman if you already got your own plate. He's not moved in. Why would you move in with a woman and take on her responsibilities as well as yours? A woman will throw you out in a minute. Keep going. Keep going. Let her catch her feelings. Let her catch her feelings. She will throw you out. You never want to be in a position where you get through out. Nobody heard me. It's just this fact. I can feel it in your voice. I ain't never been through hours. Deshaun, you don't let no woman come in. You come into her life, and she get to dictate what you do when you was already satiated.

01:32:04 - 01:32:05 | Speaker 2:

Deshaun.

01:32:05 - 01:32:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, you don't do that.

01:32:06 - 01:32:12 | Speaker 2:

You should be a dating mentor for KP. Well, Deshaun, the dating mentor here. Deshaun.

01:32:12 - 01:32:23 | Speaker 4:

Hey, well, if you talk about getting married, that's a different situation. Just dating and screwing. You don't move in with no woman. You stay where you at. If you see it's going to work out, then you move it, you let her.

01:32:23 - 01:32:28 | Speaker 2:

So do you think that this guy's got some red flags that she needs to look out for?

01:32:29 - 01:32:35 | Speaker 4:

Most definitely. Most definitely. You don't move in with a woman, man. If y'all come, y'all move together.

01:32:35 - 01:32:37 | Speaker 1:

How many serious relationships have you had?

01:32:39 - 01:32:39 | Speaker 4:

Huh?

01:32:39 - 01:32:41 | Speaker 1:

How many serious relationships have you had?

01:32:42 - 01:32:49 | Speaker 4:

I've been in relationships. I'm 53. I've been in relationships all my life. I've only been in three relationships.

01:32:49 - 01:32:49 | Speaker 1:

So you've never been married?

01:32:51 - 01:32:52 | Speaker 4:

Yes. I'm married now.

01:32:53 - 01:32:54 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you're married now?

01:32:54 - 01:33:02 | Speaker 4:

So, yes, I've been married for 19 years. Previous relationship, 11. Previous relationship before that, 7. Does your wife have a drawer? Yeah.

01:33:04 - 01:33:08 | Speaker 1:

What's that again? You guys live together, right? Yes. Okay.

01:33:09 - 01:33:12 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. She's locked in the basement right now. No, I'm not winning.

01:33:13 - 01:33:20 | Speaker 4:

You don't have long-lasting relationships. I'll stand on that, so I'll never move in with a woman. I'll stand in three relationships. I'm 53, so what does that tell you?

01:33:20 - 01:33:34 | Speaker 2:

Deshaun, maybe you could be like KP's radio dad or something like that. You sound like you could be a father figure that you could give her advice on this guy. Maybe you need to have a talk with this guy.

01:33:36 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 4:

Well, just like I said, I just wouldn't move in. Me personally, as a woman, I wouldn't let no man move in with me. And as a man, I wouldn't let a woman.

01:33:45 - 01:33:48 | Speaker 2:

How about spend the night? Would you let them spend the night after a night of lovemaking?

01:33:48 - 01:33:52 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they can spend the night, but they got to get the hell out tonight.

01:33:53 - 01:34:03 | Speaker 2:

All right, Deshaun. All right, Deshaun, get Deshaun's number, by the way, from time to time when KP has any kind of relationship topics. I want you back on the air with us, okay?

01:34:04 - 01:34:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, most definitely. I appreciate that.

01:34:06 - 01:34:12 | Speaker 2:

All right, thank you, Deshaun. Have a blessed day, man. I don't know if KP appreciates you, but I think that you definitely can make for good radio.

01:34:12 - 01:34:13 | Speaker 1:

He's got to get his facts right. He's not moved in.

01:34:13 - 01:34:17 | Speaker 4:

She's going to find out. She's going to find out.

01:34:17 - 01:34:19 | Speaker 2:

All right, Deshaun. Thank you.

01:34:19 - 01:34:25 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Peter, don't retain any of that, babe. Why? I'm not fully in it. I'm resetting my hard drive after this.

01:34:27 - 01:34:36 | Speaker 3:

Always get voicemail. No return texts. Find out why you're not getting the call back. On a second date update at 820 on Mojo in the Morning.

01:34:37 - 01:34:49 | Speaker 2:

All right, it's Mojo in the Morning Show. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE. The text is 95500. Shannon says that it's time for her kids to start having chores.

01:34:49 - 01:35:22 | Speaker 3:

Isn't it right? Am I way past where they should have probably started having chores? What? So Luce will be 11 in April. and Smith is seven. And I'm trying to, like, if I ask them to do things for the most part, Lucy more so than Smith, they're pretty helpful. And, like, really the only thing that I ask them to do is after they eat something to rinse their dish and put it in the dishwasher. That's about all they have to do at this point.

01:35:22 - 01:35:25 | Speaker 4:

No taking the garbage out? No helping with the grass or anything?

01:35:26 - 01:35:26 | Speaker 3:

No.

01:35:27 - 01:35:27 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

01:35:27 - 01:35:59 | Speaker 3:

No. I can, to be honest, I can barely get the dang garbage thing down our driveway and where it needs to be. So that's not something that I would expect them to do yet. Do they ever have to? But like, am I supposed, like, what are some chores I'm supposed to give them? I feel like I'm kind of, I do everything and that's just the mom in me. I want to do everything, but I'm wondering, is this the age? And if I do give them chores, is there supposed to be an allowance that goes along with this? Or is it something that, like, no, this is how you contribute to our family and our house?

01:35:59 - 01:36:03 | Speaker 4:

Do they have to clean the room and do stuff like that? Like, pick up the room?

01:36:03 - 01:36:47 | Speaker 3:

If I say pick up the room, they're both, like, pretty neat. I was going to say, they're not messy kids. But, like, that to me is natural. Like, hey, you made a mess on the kitchen table. Clean up your Legos. That's not necessarily a chore. You're talking more like, it's time for you to clean the toilets. Yeah. Is there something like that that I feel like I need to have them do? and here's the other caveat to this because there are two households and I know that we are two very separate households meaning their dad's household and my household but it's like I kind of don't want them to have like all these things to do at my house and then dad's house they're doing nothing and vice versa because that would suck yeah can I tell you the one chore I wish

01:36:47 - 01:36:51 | Speaker 2:

I was forced to do because I didn't know how to do it for the longest time as an adult and it was

01:36:51 - 01:37:01 | Speaker 3:

embarrassing to have to google laundry okay so it's interesting you say that because my stepkids do their own laundry which i know you've brought up now they're in high school but it is amazing

01:37:01 - 01:37:15 | Speaker 2:

right they do all their own laundry it's embarrassing as an adult to be like it does this go with the clothes is what is it hot is it cold like what do i want does this need to be in a bag does this like all of that stuff i had to like google as an adult and i wish i knew how to

01:37:15 - 01:37:22 | Speaker 3:

do it with less taught them how to do it because he was single dad for so long and so he was like I need the help. I need them to know. I want them to know how to do that.

01:37:22 - 01:37:48 | Speaker 5:

So when I was around Lucy age, maybe around 11, 12 years old, my dad gave me. Now, I already was taking the trash out, pulling it down to the street. Like, that was mando. That was mandatory. But my chores were we had two bathrooms in the crib. You had to clean the toilets, like the outside and the inside, clean the bathtub, clean the mirrors, and then sweep and mop the bathroom floor. And that was my chore. And I want to say I got $10 every week.

01:37:48 - 01:37:56 | Speaker 4:

That's actually, honestly, as a dad whose kids are raised, I wish we would have done stuff like that. I'm in the same boat with you, though, Shane. I'm trying to get your side.

01:37:56 - 01:38:11 | Speaker 3:

The hard thing is I don't mind doing those things so they don't have to. I'm just scared that they're kind of approaching the ages, Lucy especially, where am I setting them up for failure because I'm not having them do those things, even though I don't mind doing them.

01:38:12 - 01:38:21 | Speaker 4:

As the oldest in your household of your sisters, you had no choice. None? No. What did you ever, did you have to do things to help out with the family at all or no? Babysit your sister or anything like that?

01:38:21 - 01:38:34 | Speaker 3:

Not really. Like my mom, I think my mom was the same as me. Like she just wanted, she wanted to do all of those things and she wanted us to focus on school and activities and those things.

01:38:34 - 01:38:52 | Speaker 2:

I got a hard slap of reality because that was my life until my dad started traveling while I was still living at, this sounds weird. Once my dad became a single dad and then started traveling again. I was essentially, like, running a house as a teenager. And that was a wild lesson.

01:38:52 - 01:38:59 | Speaker 3:

I went to college and asked my roommate, Ashley, can you please come downstairs and show me how to do laundry? I had no idea.

01:38:59 - 01:39:06 | Speaker 2:

But because I wasn't taught how to do laundry, everything just went in at once and you prayed. You prayed everything came out right. You know what I mean?

01:39:07 - 01:39:22 | Speaker 4:

I think kids should have some kind of responsibilities and at least, like, just do, you know, make sure that their room is picked up or when their friends come over, We used to say the basement had to be picked up before your friends left. Like, I do that. Jess, what's up? What's going on? It's Mojo in the morning.

01:39:22 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 1:

Hey. Hey, so talking about chores with kids. So I have two daughters. One is 13, one is three. And I make both of them do chores. I think it's a great thing for them to learn how to be independent, how to take care of their own space, understanding that it's a shared space. So we all chip in with chores. Even things like cooking sometimes. I'm like, hey, you guys are going to help me cook dinner. It teaches them how to cook things that are healthy, how to have fun, things like grocery shopping. Sometimes I'll give them the grocery list, and they have to kind of go through the store with us and find where things are and pay attention to prices. And I think it just helps set them up for success as adults.

01:40:00 - 01:40:04 | Speaker 4:

when they do have to go out on their own. How old are your kids? My youngest is three.

01:40:05 - 01:40:05 | Speaker 1:

Wow.

01:40:05 - 01:40:23 | Speaker 4:

And my oldest is 13. Your three-year-old does that? She loves it. She has so much fun with it. It's like a game for them. If you teach them younger, they don't see it as like a complicated task. It's just something that has to be done, and it helps us take care of one another. It helps teach them how to take care of themselves.

01:40:23 - 01:41:00 | Speaker 1:

My thing with my kids having kids that are in their 20s is they didn't know how to do even putting gas in a car. Like I had to like explain to them how to put gas in a car. And I think that I learned how to do it because I watched my dad do it. And also I would ask my dad questions. I was inquisitive. And I think sometimes these kids nowadays, they're all on their phones nonstop. And they don't get inquisitive about the daily crap that you have to do. Like, they probably have no clue how, you know, a dishwasher works or a washing machine works until Chelsea had to tell them that when they went away to college.

01:41:00 - 01:41:17 | Speaker 2:

I also weirdly think we put way more pressure on kids to do more outside of chores and, like, running a house. Like, schoolwork is more overwhelming. It's larger. It's harder. I think sports is an expectation now and jobs and just requirements to get into college.

01:41:17 - 01:41:50 | Speaker 1:

Activities, definitely. Yeah, there's a lot of after-school activities that definitely, I think, are, don't you think, nowadays, they're probably more than what we had when we were younger? I think so. I mean, these kids, these kids do, your kids alone, I mean, what'd you do last night? I took the kids to lacrosse, swimming, badminton, I don't know. My children do not play badminton. I mean, it's like, you know. That's why they do a chore, they don't play badminton. Honestly, I gotta be honest with you, I don't know how you're not exhausted. between all the activities that those kids are doing. It's like, have you ever thought about just letting them sit home on the couch?

01:41:50 - 01:41:52 | Speaker 3:

That's what we did yesterday. It was glorious.

01:41:52 - 01:41:54 | Speaker 1:

Isn't it amazing when you do it? It's almost kind of like.

01:41:54 - 01:42:00 | Speaker 3:

I was the one that said, we are doing, everything on the calendar is going, bye-bye. Delete, delete, delete. We are doing nothing today.

01:42:00 - 01:42:01 | Speaker 1:

Mikhail, what's up?

01:42:03 - 01:42:28 | Speaker 5:

Hey, my kids are seven and eight, and they've been doing chores for a couple of years now. On the weekdays, we just stick to school stuff, but on the weekends, we always make it a point, Like, after breakfast, all right, we're all cleaning the house, and they all get, we call them missions because they're boys, so they always want to go on missions. So they do one, then they come back, ask for their next one. And they're really good about it. They make their beds. Can I borrow those kids? I've been teaching them how to, like, clean the toilet.

01:42:29 - 01:42:40 | Speaker 1:

That's unreal. That's great. Good for you. Man, I'm telling you, make it seem like it's fun, and these kids are doing it. Get the playlist going. Here's one that your kids could do. Easy one. Melissa, what do you have the kids do?

01:42:40 - 01:42:47 | Speaker 4:

my kids pick up dog poop but they earn really good money for doing that so that is one that

01:42:47 - 01:43:03 | Speaker 3:

we pay them for yeah if if they want to earn money for something like loose if she wants to go to altar sephora i'm like okay if you pick up the dog poop we'll pay her and 90 of the time she says no but smith will say yes that's actually honestly smith doesn't care you give them each

01:43:03 - 01:43:31 | Speaker 1:

one of those doggy bags and whoever can pick it up first because you got about 8 000 dogs that probably this is true they probably have a ton of that crap and then dump it on your neighbor's lawn um a lot of people by the way are saying uh in text message uh nobody here on the phone line but they're saying that uh they agree with what megan said on the there's so many activities that maybe it's one of those things when they're not in an activity that's when you have them do something

01:43:31 - 01:43:58 | Speaker 3:

so that they always keep busy otherwise and i i know it sounds silly but i know divorced parents will get this that is in the back of my brain and i know i shouldn't care like i should want to shape these you know shape these two how i want to and not worry about whether or not they have stuff going on at the other house but i don't want them to be like uh we have to go to mom's house this week and there's 10 000 tours we have to do and at dad's house we don't i wish i don't

01:43:58 - 01:44:31 | Speaker 1:

know if that's the case or not but can i tell you something i saw a tiktoker one time that said that your kids should exercise three days a week even if they're in activities and you should teach them that they need to get exercise three days a week and honestly I agreed with it because as an adult who hates exercise so much that if you make it something that is part of your life like brushing your teeth washing your hair you know doing all the the stuff like that then when they get older they'll they won't look at it as something only you had to do when you're older but you need to start at an earlier age doing it because I think when they're younger we look at activities as

01:44:31 - 01:44:45 | Speaker 2:

their exercise what's that make I just think the bigger issue is that as adults we have forced herself to think that the only way we can get exercise is going to the gym. I'm fun activities. I mean, I'm my rollerblades right here. You don't have to go to the gym to get exercise. But there are kids,

01:44:45 - 01:44:49 | Speaker 1:

honestly, like my kids, that would sit inside and play video games the entire day.

01:44:49 - 01:44:50 | Speaker 5:

It's probably even worse. No.

01:44:51 - 01:44:51 | Speaker 1:

Alright.

01:44:53 - 01:44:56 | Speaker 2:

It's the second date update. I'm Mojo in the morning. Alright, second date update.

01:44:58 - 01:45:40 | Speaker 1:

Why are you not getting a call back? we're going to find out a lot of guys getting ghosted lately in second date update and we're going to find out exactly what's going on uh we've had guys that get ghosted because they've maybe talked about their virginity we had guys that got them ghosted because they've had issues where they didn't want to pay for the bill um and then there was one guy i remember that not that long ago got ghosted and it was on the uh the second date update and he drove separate she was all upset that he wouldn't give her a ride wouldn't pick her up paul i don't know if any of those had anything to do with why you think you might be getting ghosted but did you think that

01:45:40 - 01:45:53 | Speaker 3:

things went really well when you guys were out together i did i mean you know great conversation and uh we had a really good night and i thought we'd be hanging out together for many many more

01:45:53 - 01:46:03 | Speaker 1:

months to come if not years to come really like you thought it was that good of a date that you thought things were so good and then all of a sudden she stopped talking to you yeah i mean

01:46:03 - 01:46:16 | Speaker 3:

i'm pretty private person generally and just uh you know she made me feel like i could you know be myself more than a lot of people have in a long time and open up more than i have to a

01:46:16 - 01:46:31 | Speaker 1:

lot of people and i understand that uh so you're you're a divorcee so you're divorced going back out in the dating world uh and you guys met on tinder yeah yeah which is not my normal thing to

01:46:31 - 01:46:42 | Speaker 3:

do that's not you know that was definitely out of my comfort zone but um you know i've used it a couple times but this one uh i thought seemed to be uh seemed to be a match you know all right

01:46:42 - 01:47:01 | Speaker 1:

we're gonna find out what's going on mary is on the phone with us right now hey mary will you say hi to Paul. Hi. Hey, what's up, Mary? How are you? I'm fine. Thanks. Mary catching you at a good time

01:47:01 - 01:47:07 | Speaker 2:

here that you got moment to talk to us. Yeah, I do. Actually, it's my day off. So, you know,

01:47:07 - 01:47:25 | Speaker 1:

I'm just kind of hanging out. Mary, you also this you are have been divorced and you're now dating too so you're looking looking for love on tinder and uh what's going on what were you not as excited with the date as paul was because you seem like everything went well

01:47:25 - 01:48:58 | Speaker 2:

uh yeah it was a good date um parts of it were a good day uh and he's fine um i thought we hit off okay the conversation got a little weird um so i think that's why i i just don't feel like i'm interested anymore you know just you know sometimes if you go out with 10 people and you just maybe click with only one or two wait what got weird i want to know specifics yeah what were the what was the conversation well it was about childhood and about recent things for one thing he told me in great detail about a devastating heartbreak and breakup i mean that's just sounded awful so there's that and you know sometimes you don't what happened on the breakup i don't i'd like to know what happened uh well it was just a whole series of things i think it was maybe back in college and there was you know other people involved and and defeat and you know as these things happen when you're young but i had the feeling that he he really hadn't dealt with it but there were you know just you know when you're getting to know someone you kind of swap stories of you know i have four siblings or i'm an only child or things like that but um then there were a lot of specific stories that just were um by the end of the night too much paul what the hell

01:48:58 - 01:49:05 | Speaker 1:

were you talking about that you made it what was going on paul there he is i mean i mean the only

01:49:05 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 3:

thing i can think i mean i told her some some personal family stuff i have i have a sister that has some some kind of like kind of mental issues that she has to kind of deal with and i kind of once we started to feel more comfortable around mary i opened up to her about that my sister you know one time actually pulled a knife on me when she wasn't on her medicine at the time and it was just kind of in passing and you know i was just trying to be up front as possible i mean i wasn't i was just trying to mary was it the knife pulled on story that got you

01:49:38 - 01:49:49 | Speaker 2:

oh i mean that was a little dramatic but there was more of the off-hand comment comment at some point we said yeah yeah you know i hate my mom i wish i did

01:49:49 - 01:49:55 | Speaker 1:

You said I hate my mom, Paul?

01:49:57 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 3:

At times, at times.

01:50:00 - 01:50:03 | Speaker 6:

Don't we all? Come on.

01:50:03 - 01:50:30 | Speaker 7:

You know what, though? I appreciate a guy like this. I appreciate, like, surface talk to me is just does not want, does not want, I don't want to get to know you more. I don't know. I don't want a guy that's just surface-y, even on a first date. I think that this shows that he is, like, open and vulnerable and emotionally available. He felt comfortable. Yeah. Yeah, isn't scared to share.

01:50:32 - 01:50:32 | Speaker 6:

I don't know, though.

01:50:32 - 01:50:43 | Speaker 7:

I'd rather have, I honestly would rather have that than, like, just small talk. I can't do small talk, especially when it's, like, we're thinking about, you know, dating.

01:50:43 - 01:50:50 | Speaker 6:

I think even if you hate your mom, though, you probably, as a guy dating, it's a red flag to a woman if all of a sudden a guy says, I hate my mom.

01:50:50 - 01:50:54 | Speaker 8:

Maybe that story would have skipped, but, like, I would love to know the context, too.

01:50:54 - 01:50:55 | Speaker 5:

It depends on what they were talking about.

01:50:55 - 01:51:05 | Speaker 6:

Paul, you there, my friend? Yeah. Yes, yes. Paul, anything that Mary brought up that you thought was a little sketchy, or did you talk the entire time?

01:51:07 - 01:51:44 | Speaker 4:

No, I mean, everything, you know, she was definitely a little more guarded than I was, and maybe I, you know, kind of ran with it a little bit too much. So I wish I would knew more about Mary, and maybe I took up too much of the conversation. um but uh everything you know again i was looking forward i felt like we really i don't know this is not like something thing i just normally do i don't usually open up this much to a person and it just felt like that the conversation was moving in the right way and that must have been i must have been misjudging this the situation uh valerie wants to make a comment here valerie

01:51:44 - 01:51:50 | Speaker 2:

what's up hey i was just wondering if her tinder bio said that she was a therapist when he's like

01:51:50 - 01:51:57 | Speaker 6:

great it's kind of sounded like that's what their date was um exactly that's the thing i'm not a

01:51:57 - 01:52:08 | Speaker 1:

therapist and i didn't feel like i was in there and should be trying to help him deal with these things it just it was the red flag for me and that's not what i do so i didn't want to get

01:52:08 - 01:52:13 | Speaker 2:

into that yeah you got to heal yourself before you try to get somebody else to help heal you

01:52:13 - 01:52:18 | Speaker 8:

unless it's a professional i don't know if he's not healed that's kind of a stretch i don't know

01:52:18 - 01:52:24 | Speaker 6:

I do think, though, that your first date should not be a therapy session. And I do think vulnerability is great. I'd probably save that for a second date.

01:52:24 - 01:52:34 | Speaker 7:

But I would just say we, like, people complain if there's nothing there and they have nothing to talk about. And then they complain if they're too open. So it's like, pick one.

01:52:34 - 01:52:44 | Speaker 8:

And let's be honest, later in life, less I want to have small dates that don't go anywhere. Let's get the big stuff out of the way first and see if this is worth pursuing or not.

01:52:44 - 01:53:05 | Speaker 6:

My buddy was telling me a story yesterday. Jeff was telling me a story about a friend that lost his wife. His wife died of cancer and he's been going on dates and not getting callbacks and he found out that the reason was every date he's gone on, he's cried. Oh, damn. And I said to him, I go, I think that's a great thing to do. I know exactly

01:53:05 - 01:53:07 | Speaker 7:

who he's talking about, but people aren't calling him back.

01:53:08 - 01:53:09 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Of course you're going to cry.

01:53:09 - 01:53:17 | Speaker 7:

I'd be weirded out if the guy didn't cry when talking about his wife that just died of cancer. He's not ready to date. I was just about to say, it's probably that.

01:53:17 - 01:53:24 | Speaker 6:

Jeff said the only thing he would cry is that the date ended and he didn't get a second date. That would be the thing they'd cry about. But, all right, no date for Jeff.

01:53:25 - 01:53:32 | Speaker 3:

This is the home of the dirty of the 30. Throwback, throwdown. Second date update. And War of the Roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:53:32 - 01:53:39 | Speaker 6:

All right, it's Mojo in the Morning show. We're going to give you Justin Timberlake tickets. Yeah. Shows happening. You get excited about anything.

01:53:39 - 01:53:41 | Speaker 5:

I like Justin Timberlake, man.

01:53:41 - 01:53:57 | Speaker 6:

Are you going to that show? I want to go. I said we were giving away an apple out of our refrigerator. I already had one. Justin Timberlake, February 20th at Little Caesars Arena. Tickets still on sale at Ticketmaster.com for that.

01:53:57 - 01:54:02 | Speaker 5:

Can you do me a favor? Yes. We have some time. Between now and the show, can you do me a little Justin Timberlake mini mix?

01:54:02 - 01:54:06 | Speaker 6:

Play Petey Pablo. No, I'm not. I told you I'd play Petey Pablo.

01:54:06 - 01:54:07 | Speaker 5:

Give me a JT mini mix.

01:54:07 - 01:54:11 | Speaker 6:

I said to Tom, the listener this morning, I'd play that Petey Pablo song.

01:54:11 - 01:54:14 | Speaker 5:

We got until February 20th. If you could tell me a little just.

01:54:14 - 01:54:17 | Speaker 6:

I'll get you one before the end, before maybe the night of the concert.

01:54:18 - 01:54:20 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:54:21 - 01:54:23 | Speaker 6:

We're going to do the dirty right now. Shannon, what's going on?

01:54:23 - 01:54:23 | Unknown:

Dirty.

01:54:24 - 01:54:58 | Speaker 7:

So we're getting more text drops, text message exchanges between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. This is more on this. It ends with us drama. And reading through them, I feel like these two were very warm, very friendly to each other. I would say they were very flirty with one another before all of the lawsuits and the public disputes and this drama that we've been hearing about happened. Like maybe even inappropriate with each other, I would say, in some of these text messages.

01:55:00 - 01:56:17 | Speaker 1:

That's Justin's part of this story. He says their partnership grew close enough that they exchanged texts on the daily, sharing stories and photos from their lives about their kids, commiserating over stuff going on at home, sending jokes and memes. And now we're seeing some of these text messages and we're seeing some of these emails. One of the texts from Blake to Justin reads, I'm so excited to start tomorrow. This is only one piece of our journey. We started months ago, and I'm grateful for all we've built so far. Thank you for putting every bit of you into this. You have given so much of your time to fight for great, and that hasn't gone unseen for a moment. Let's do this bit. Like, very nice, very friendly. And then they started talking about, they started complimenting each other and getting, like, kind of, well, you'll see what I mean. Justin complimented Blake in one text saying, I love sentimental Blake. She jokingly responded, never met her. He responded, I also like a-hole Blake. Don't worry. She laughed it off by responding, I've met her too. So have my suppositories. I mean, there's a line I feel like that gets crossed in some of these, but a trial date has been set for March of 2026.

01:56:18 - 01:56:26 | Speaker 5:

This is why you save receipts, kids. Save them. If you're Justin Baldoni, you don't have these receipts. This guy is going to be.

01:56:26 - 01:56:30 | Speaker 1:

Well, if it comes to a lawsuit, your cell carrier has also saved all those receipts.

01:56:30 - 01:56:33 | Speaker 5:

But I think it's hard to get those, though. I really do.

01:56:33 - 01:56:36 | Speaker 1:

I think that legally you can get them. But yes, it is very difficult.

01:56:36 - 01:56:59 | Speaker 5:

But I think that you have them there. You can stop a potential problem from happening. And I think in this guy's case, I think that the more that he's releasing more stuff, the more that he is in the public eye, not as bad a guy. Because when this story first came out, everybody was like, he's a horrible human being because she's married to a guy that everybody loves. And she's also somebody that people like and she's friends with, you know, Taylor.

01:56:59 - 01:57:05 | Speaker 4:

Or the minute somebody throws out an accusation, you're just so prone to believe in what I have in evidence. Yeah.

01:57:06 - 01:57:09 | Speaker 5:

Well, we do that instantly. And we pass judgment all the time.

01:57:10 - 01:57:11 | Speaker 2:

Accusation. Hey.

01:57:12 - 01:57:14 | Speaker 1:

What? False.

01:57:15 - 01:57:16 | Speaker 2:

Accusation.

01:57:16 - 01:57:47 | Speaker 1:

President Trump has asked SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to go and get those two astronauts who remain stuck in space. I mean, these two have been in space for months. They were supposed to be up for like a week, I think. It was like eight days or something. He wrote, I have just asked Elon Musk and SpaceX to go get the two brave astronauts who have been virtually abandoned by the Biden administration. They have been waiting many, many months on the space station. Elon will soon be on his way. I don't know when. I just know that he's trying to make this happen.

01:57:48 - 01:57:49 | Speaker 3:

Has he done manned missions?

01:57:50 - 01:57:51 | Speaker 1:

I don't know.

01:57:51 - 01:57:57 | Speaker 3:

Come on, man. I don't know. Come on, man. Do you trust that?

01:57:58 - 01:58:01 | Speaker 5:

Listen, if I'm stuck in space, I'll get on anything.

01:58:01 - 01:58:34 | Speaker 3:

He just had the one explode recently, and I don't know if he's done a manned mission. A little part of me is if I'm on the space station and you have regular shuttles coming up with supplies, I'll wait until you build me a reliable shuttle back. Plus, I think the big rumor on all of this is that they've been testing the rumor is that they've been testing long-term livability in space because of the SpaceX program and rich people trying to colonize other places so that these people might have been trapped there on purpose. If you got

01:58:34 - 01:58:41 | Speaker 5:

trapped up in space and you miss your family, you'd do anything. You'd fly Spirit Airlines to get home, for God's sakes. I'll come home.

01:58:41 - 01:59:09 | Speaker 1:

An 18-year-old man is dead after falling from a light pole on Sunday in Philly as Eagles fans were celebrating the team's NFC Championship win over the Commanders in the streets. We're just now hearing about this story. How tragic. I mean, suffered brain trauma from the fall and died. He was among several fans who were climbing light poles after Philly Mayor Cheryl Parker warned people, please do not do that, and they still did.

01:59:09 - 01:59:11 | Speaker 5:

They normally grease the poles.

01:59:11 - 01:59:23 | Speaker 4:

My dog was so excited that his team was going to the Super Bowl and has now died and won't even be able to see the game. That's an awful story.

01:59:23 - 01:59:26 | Speaker 5:

A college kid from Temple, I think he is. Wow. Man.

01:59:27 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, big changes at Costco, especially in the concessions area. Costco confirming that it will be swapping Pepsi for Coca-Cola at all of its food courts starting this summer. So they actually originally served Pepsi, and then they made the switch to, or served Coke, excuse me. They made the switch to Pepsi back in 2013 in order to maintain the price of its famous $1.50, excuse me, soda and hot dog deal. That price has remained the same, and it's not going to change. They basically lose money on it.

02:00:00 - 02:00:10 | Speaker 3:

02:00:10 - 02:00:48 | Speaker 1:

iheart radio app or mojointhemorning.com miss something in the dirty on the 30 listen on our podcast now at mojointhemorning.com here we go wkqi detroit wsnx muskegon grand rapids wvks Toledo, three great stations, one stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live. All right, it is the Mojo in the Morning show. I want you to explain this topic to me because the title is great. Dominant or submissive?

02:00:48 - 02:00:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you're talking to me.

02:00:49 - 02:00:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I want you to explain where your vision is on this next topic.

02:00:55 - 02:02:06 | Speaker 2:

I'm trying to understand because I was having a conversation with a friend of mine that's a teacher. She's a high school teacher, and she teaches many grades, but her focus is the senior class. So she's dealing with children who are about to graduate. So these are the adults of the school. And every day for her job, she's in a dominant position. She is looked at as the leader. She is the person that's running the classroom. She's a dominant position. And this is eight hours a day, ten hours a day. she's working overtime and all that kind of stuff and a conversation came up well if you're looked at as this dominant figure in your everyday life for the majority of your time when you come home are you able to be submissive or do you prefer to be submissive and she's like hell yeah I want my man to be the dominant figure when I come home and I want to rip off that cloak of dominance and I want to be submissive when I go home and I was like this kind of like is this like all women type of thing for women who are in these situations? And I know, you know, we know a couple of judges like, that's a dominant position. Women who are police, that's a dominant position. When you come home, or do you prefer a man that is submissive to you? Because that could be a thing for some women.

02:02:07 - 02:02:15 | Speaker 3:

So... Are you talking about in the bedroom or just overall at home? Because start in the bedroom. I don't know if he

02:02:15 - 02:02:51 | Speaker 1:

wanted specifics. So you're talking if a person is, you know, like Colleen, our boss. Shout out Colleen the Queen. Colleen Grant, who's who's the boss here if she goes from you know here all day she has to be the person that's the decision maker the person that you know has to tell people you know if they're doing something right or possibly doing something wrong the president and then when she goes home does she go home and become the boss at home or does she allow matt her husband to do the you know yeah

02:02:51 - 02:03:02 | Speaker 3:

like i would i think it would be hard in like in colleen's case or for anybody especially as a female to come home and like not have that like i feel like that's just innate that's in you

02:03:02 - 02:03:20 | Speaker 1:

that you are really the boss i would think that i would be exhausted with that because i go home when i go home because running the show and stuff and having to make decisions on where what direction we're going and doing all this stuff i go home i'm like chelsea please man i I just want to, you know, like, I don't like, I don't pay our bills.

02:03:20 - 02:03:24 | Speaker 3:

It'd be hard for people to, like, not listen to me like they do at work or, you know.

02:03:25 - 02:03:36 | Speaker 1:

But I don't, like, I don't pay our bills or anything like that. Or I don't do, like, like, like, Chelsea makes decisions on things breaking in the house. She takes care of that stuff. Because by the time I come home, I'm, like, toast, man.

02:03:36 - 02:03:39 | Speaker 2:

Now, was it always like that? Or did you have to graduate to that point?

02:03:39 - 02:03:47 | Speaker 1:

I had bill collectors calling me. Because I'd get home, I'd be so exhausted, the last thing in the world I wanted to do was sit down and have to make more decisions.

02:03:47 - 02:04:04 | Speaker 2:

See, it's sometimes where I'm on the air and I'm energetic because that's who I am naturally and that's the job, where when I leave out of this place, sometimes my energy is as aggressive as I am when I'm on air. Really? And then I have to, like, all of a sudden, like, my brain will turn, like, wait a second, like, you're doing too much right now.

02:04:04 - 02:04:16 | Speaker 1:

Haven't you ever wondered if he in the bedroom, like, sits there and, you know, you know how he always said that? He goes, shout out, oh my God, yeah. Like, does he do that in the bedroom? You ever wonder that? I wonder that. Oh, my God. Do you?

02:04:16 - 02:04:18 | Speaker 2:

You got to relax, bro.

02:04:18 - 02:04:20 | Speaker 1:

No, I wonder. Don't be wondering about what I'm doing. Do you?

02:04:20 - 02:04:21 | Speaker 2:

I don't tell people shout out.

02:04:22 - 02:04:48 | Speaker 1:

Do you do, this is the mojo in the morning show. Okay. But I wonder, it's wild to see, you ever see your school teacher at, like, the grocery store or at the mall, like, on the weekends? and you wonder if your school teacher lives a normal life, that's kind of like the thing. Do people have different lives for different times? Megan, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:04:49 - 02:04:50 | Speaker 3:

Hey, how are you guys?

02:04:51 - 02:04:52 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. What's going on? How are you doing?

02:04:53 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 3:

I'm doing really well. This actually rung really true for me because I'm also a teacher, and it's really.

02:05:00 - 02:05:17 | Speaker 5:

hard to go home and be like i don't want to make decisions i don't want to have to especially especially sexually to not have to like make those decisions when you have to make decisions all day long it's it's it's really it's really hard do you have a chalkboard in your kitchen

02:05:17 - 02:05:34 | Speaker 1:

or or now they don't have chalkboards they have now have the smart boards smart boards yeah do Do you tell your spouse and your kids, you know, all right, guys, it's lunchtime, sit down. Like, do you do that whole thing? Or do you go, I'm done with that because I've been doing it all day?

02:05:34 - 02:05:39 | Speaker 5:

No, absolutely not. I sit in my bedroom in my bed and don't talk to anybody.

02:05:39 - 02:05:41 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So it's interesting.

02:05:41 - 02:05:42 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I want that alone time.

02:05:42 - 02:05:50 | Speaker 1:

You need a break from all that stuff. I couldn't imagine being a teacher with young kids and having your kids constantly grabbing at you all day like they do at school.

02:05:50 - 02:06:34 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. The problem is your man fell in love with the strength of that woman, right? That leader woman. That's what he likes about you, right? So he's, like, attracted to that part of you. So when you come home and you're like, I'd rather just be submissive. I'd rather just you take control. It's almost hard for him because he sees you in that role, and he's so used to that being your role. Like, just because it's natural, right? When you're a teacher or a leader, it's natural to be a leader or a teacher in every aspect of your life. So it's really hard to, like, turn that control off. but when you want it to turn off like for in the bedroom you know you want to be able to be like i don't want to make these decisions and honestly like down to the simple things like dinner i don't want to have to make decisions about dinner because i had to make decisions all day

02:06:34 - 02:06:39 | Speaker 2:

long whether i'm submissive or dominant i don't ever want to make decisions i always wonder you

02:06:39 - 02:06:55 | Speaker 1:

know teachers have lesson plans i wonder if they plan out their weeks like at home too like they plan out their weeks in school uh what's up amy this is a tough one for you amy because what's going on with you and your husband are both uh dominant workers yeah so it's kind of interesting

02:06:55 - 02:07:11 | Speaker 4:

uh the male versus female version of this because both of us have dominant positions at work but i prefer to be dominant at home and he wants nothing to do with that he'd rather just sit there and me tell him what to do i pay the bills and where the kids need to go just tell me what to do

02:07:12 - 02:07:14 | Speaker 1:

Does it ever get exhausting?

02:07:15 - 02:07:23 | Speaker 4:

No. I don't know what I would do. I would lose my mind. When I sit, my husband's like, just sit down. I'll take care of it. I said, no, this is what I do.

02:07:23 - 02:07:31 | Speaker 1:

Hey, if you ever go out, Amy, with a bunch of women on a girls' night, do you have to be the person making all the decisions, or do the other women do that?

02:07:32 - 02:07:48 | Speaker 4:

Well, it's kind of funny because I'm on a bowling league with all women on Tuesday nights. I was just there last night, and somehow I ended up being the one in charge of making sure everybody's names are in the computer and getting everybody organized and everybody's raffle tickets. It just happened that way.

02:07:48 - 02:07:53 | Speaker 1:

If a woman on the bowling league steps up and starts doing that, you're like, hey, bitch, that's my job.

02:07:57 - 02:08:04 | Speaker 4:

Actually, it doesn't bother me to have someone else do it. It just comes natural for me to do it. I get it.

02:08:04 - 02:08:13 | Speaker 2:

And that's what I mean. Like, I wonder if it's for a lot of people, it is an eight. It is natural that when you go home, that same personality, whether dominant or submissive, just stays.

02:08:13 - 02:08:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:08:13 - 02:08:14 | Speaker 2:

You know.

02:08:14 - 02:08:16 | Speaker 1:

Amanda, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi, Amanda.

02:08:17 - 02:08:18 | Speaker 6:

Hi, good morning.

02:08:18 - 02:08:19 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. What's going on?

02:08:20 - 02:08:38 | Speaker 6:

So I'm an admin, so I make decisions for people all day long. And so when I get home, I am on the couch. I would love nothing more than someone to make all the decisions for me. I'm single, and I think, like, the most attractive thing in a man is if they're like, hey, I made dinner plans. Amazing.

02:08:38 - 02:08:40 | Speaker 2:

No, I agree with that.

02:08:41 - 02:08:43 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. That's interesting.

02:08:43 - 02:08:47 | Speaker 2:

That is a very attractive aspect to a man's personality is decisiveness.

02:08:47 - 02:08:55 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, just when you're talking to people all day, sometimes you're just like, I want to go home. I want to shut down. Someone else is going to do things for me, and it's just the best.

02:08:55 - 02:09:05 | Speaker 7:

Being single is such a catch-22 because you get to always do what you want to do. Like, you don't have to be like, I hope they're okay with this. But at the same time, sometimes I just wish somebody else would set everything up.

02:09:06 - 02:09:10 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. It makes you feel like you're being taken care of a little bit. And it's kind of nice.

02:09:10 - 02:09:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yep.

02:09:11 - 02:09:12 | Speaker 1:

Carissa, what's up?

02:09:13 - 02:09:35 | Speaker 3:

Hey, so I'm calling in because I definitely have like a dominant position in work. And I kind of transfer that over to home. But I will say like mentally it's exhausting. And I wish I had like the willpower to let some of it go to be more submissive. And it has impacted my relationship, sadly.

02:09:35 - 02:09:43 | Speaker 1:

Interesting. So it is something that you maybe need to have a conversation with whoever you're in a relationship with about.

02:09:44 - 02:09:50 | Speaker 3:

Correct. Yes. And I've told my husband, I feel like I'm the man of the house and I don't want to be anymore. So, I mean, yeah.

02:09:50 - 02:10:08 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's caused problems for Chelsea and ours because she always is the one that has to be that way, and she gets pissed, especially with some things with the kids. with, hey, you got to be, they're going to listen to you as a dad more so than they'll listen to me as the mom. Yeah. You know, and you got to step up. Yeah. And then you know what happens?

02:10:08 - 02:10:09 | Speaker 2:

And it's attractive.

02:10:09 - 02:10:14 | Speaker 1:

You know what happens, Carissa? That's when I pull out the, yeah.

02:10:15 - 02:10:17 | Speaker 2:

And then she's like, yeah, let's go to the bedroom. No.

02:10:18 - 02:10:23 | Speaker 1:

She's like, why are you carrying around an Indiana Jones whip around here? Yeah.

02:10:23 - 02:10:25 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Mojo. I know.

02:10:25 - 02:10:26 | Unknown:

I know.

02:10:26 - 02:10:27 | Speaker 1:

Just trying to make a joke.

02:10:28 - 02:10:29 | Speaker 2:

I love it.

02:10:29 - 02:10:32 | Speaker 1:

I tried to see if I can make Megan laugh. If I can make Megan laugh, I know it's good, but I didn't.

02:10:34 - 02:10:35 | Speaker 2:

Try again later.

02:10:35 - 02:10:35 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:10:36 - 02:10:37 | Speaker 2:

It's like a magic eight ball.

02:10:38 - 02:10:43 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to be submissive right now and push this button. It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:10:43 - 02:10:45 | Speaker 2:

Five, three, four, five. Sweet.

02:10:46 - 02:10:49 | Speaker 1:

Five lies to tell your mom. Missy, are you a good actress?

02:10:50 - 02:10:51 | Speaker 2:

I think so.

02:10:51 - 02:10:54 | Speaker 1:

You're going to have to do some acting this morning for five lies to tell your mom.

02:10:55 - 02:10:55 | Speaker 2:

Awesome.

02:10:55 - 02:11:15 | Speaker 1:

02:11:28 - 02:11:33 | Speaker 1:

and she just thought he was an idiot okay okay good all right lie number three we were fooling

02:11:33 - 02:11:45 | Speaker 2:

around lie number four he thought you were coming home and he quickly left okay and lie number five but i'm still handcuffed to the bed oh my god she's gonna kill me do you live with your mom

02:11:45 - 02:11:52 | Speaker 1:

i do okay all right let's let's call up mom and let's see what happens for five lives tell your

02:11:52 - 02:14:14 | Speaker 2:

mom. Awesome. Hello? Hey, mom. Listen? Yeah, um, I really, really need you to come home. Where are you? This isn't your phone number. Um, will you remember Greg? Who? Greg, you know that guy in that band that I was talking to? That stupid guy? Yeah, after you left, he came over. He left his phone, and it was the first one I could get to. At our house? He's at our house? Yeah, he was over at our house. Why? We were fooling around. Excuse me? We were fooling around. Okay. Max is moving downstairs, and he thought it was you, and he thought you were coming home, so we ran out really quickly. Okay. But, um, I'm still handcuffed to the bed. You're what? I'm handcuffed to the bed. You're handcuffed to the bed? Yeah, he left me handcuffed to the bed. He thought he heard you coming home. Oh, my God, Missy. Have you lost your f***ing mind? What is wrong with you? You know, I just really miss hanging out with him. Oh, my God. I can't come home. I've got to go to work. I'm almost at work right now. Mom, please help me. I can't stay like this. I have to go to work, and I have to hang out with Molly, and I have so much to do today. Oh, my God. Let's see, I can't believe you're that stupid. He can't even form a sentence. What's wrong with you? I mean, I just, I really miss hanging out with him. Can you please help me? Well, let's see. If I come home, it is going to be so, so ugly. I cannot believe you were hanging out with that. Mom, just please help me for, like, five minutes, and then we can deal with it after you go, like, to work. Listen, you do not want me to come home right now. I am so pissed off at you. I could just strangle you. Are you? You're not in my room, are you? Yeah. Yeah, I am going to f***ing kill you when I get home. All right, I'm going to tell Dad. What? Do not tell Dad. Please don't tell Dad.

02:14:15 - 02:14:23 | Speaker 1:

Mom, before you actually turn around to go home, This is Mojo in the Morning, and we had you on Five Lies to Tell Your Mom.

02:14:23 - 02:14:24 | Unknown:

Missy, what the heck?

02:14:28 - 02:14:42 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's a relief. Sounds like you like this Greg guy. No, he's an idiot. Oh, my God. My heart is racing. I feel like I love you, Mom.

02:14:42 - 02:14:48 | Speaker 1:

Was the visual in your head of Missy handcuffed to your bed after fooling around with this guy that you don't like?

02:14:48 - 02:15:35 | Speaker 2:

Uh-huh. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm thinking immediately we're burning mattresses and comforters and getting a new bed. It's Mojo in the Morning. I feel like somebody's trying to put pressure on me, and I don't like it. I just looked out at our studio window, which, by the way, if you've never seen what our studio looks like, we have a window to the world, basically a window to our offices here. And I looked out our studio window, and I realized, today when I get off work, My wife is going to make me do a lot of work because they're taking the Christmas decorations down in our building. What's this company called that does this thing?

02:15:35 - 02:15:42 | Speaker 3:

Pink Pro. They're the best. That's Jeremy and Jen out there. I use them personally at my house too. Pink Pro. They do gutters, window cleaning.

02:15:43 - 02:16:18 | Speaker 2:

Why could you guys not do this on a weekend so I don't see this? I posted yesterday. I posted a video up on Mojo in the Morning, uh, Instagram and Facebook and all the rest of the shenanigans that we do. And it was a picture of the fact that I have literally a empty Christmas tree in my house still. It's, it's just sitting there. It's not going anywhere. And I am trying to figure out, should I take it down or should I just leave it up until next year? I've gone almost an entire 30 days. Uh, actually I have gone 30 days since it's been more than 30 days

02:16:18 - 02:16:23 | Speaker 3:

since christmas and i've just left it up you're but is that are you talking about the big huge

02:16:23 - 02:16:54 | Speaker 2:

tall one that you have in your living room i've got it yes i got it it's a it's a you can't leave that there it's an artificial christmas tree okay it's an art the the tree's not going to die so people were actually commenting on it and they were saying oh my god it's going to die it's gonna like no it looks great i finally officially took the lights off you want to know what i did my neighbor said something to me my neighbor said that they can see my lights from their deck And they're like, it's so nice that you still have your Christmas tree up. I'm like, how would they know? And they're like, oh, I see the lights from the deck. I'm like, oh, I'm turning it off.

02:16:54 - 02:17:00 | Speaker 3:

It is kind of driving me crazy that some people still have, like, the lights on the outside of the house, like the candy canes and all that stuff on.

02:17:00 - 02:17:02 | Speaker 1:

I saw some reindeer and a snowman in the hood the other day.

02:17:02 - 02:17:07 | Speaker 3:

Keep it out if you need to because it's been so cold. I understand not wanting to take them down, but you're still turning them on?

02:17:07 - 02:17:18 | Speaker 2:

But I actually have to tell you, though, Shan, I think the outside lights are okay only because it's cold and it's hard to take them down. And sometimes it's nice to have extra lights for security out in front of your home.

02:17:18 - 02:17:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I wouldn't turn them off. You turn them off? Yeah.

02:17:20 - 02:17:34 | Speaker 2:

Because I have them, I have like a little bit in like a reef type thing. And I kind of like the look of it. I told Chelsea, I feel like we need the Christmas tree in the house and outside of the house because we have such poor lighting.

02:17:34 - 02:17:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:17:35 - 02:17:50 | Speaker 2:

Like I need to figure, Tom from Meadowbrook Electric, one of my buddies, he did all my electric stuff. I've known Tom for, you know, got 25 years or so. I got to get more lights in my house because I only like my Christmas stuff because I have no lights. Like, it makes me see better.

02:17:50 - 02:17:59 | Speaker 3:

But you don't need the light. You don't want, like, those overhead lights. You need, like, lamps. I want, well. Because you like the soft, if you like the Christmas tree lights, you like soft lights.

02:17:59 - 02:18:25 | Speaker 2:

I love, I just love the feeling in there. Like, I can turn those lights off that are up top, the canned lights, and I can have this nice, you know, decorations. And I like them on the outside of my house, too. I feel like it looks pretty, but I just do not want to take them down. I couldn't believe I was, I'll go back and I'll read some of these texts or some of these comments on Instagram. People were, everybody's telling me they have their trees up still. Like people were like, don't feel so bad. Hold on.

02:18:25 - 02:18:32 | Speaker 1:

Are they switching them up like by the seasons? No, some people do like a Valentine's Day tree. Are they just keeping it straight? I know somebody that's doing.

02:18:32 - 02:18:44 | Speaker 3:

I know more and more people that are keeping their tree up year round and decorating for the different holidays. That is becoming a really popular thing. It's not fun. By the time next Christmas rolls around, it doesn't feel special. Oh, I get that. Okay.

02:18:45 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 2:

And Pat commented, Pat put pink lights on there and hearts for Valentine's Day. And then Brittany commented and said, Mojo, don't worry about it. We have three trees in our house and they're all still up. Cindy Weltman, what the F man? You know what, Cindy? You're not nice. Jessica said, I had mine up through most of Valentine's Day last year and I love the lights. um v vj says vj for vagina says mine is still hanging around and decorated uh brown's bear bug says i still have mine up these are people on your phone these are no these are mojo in the morning commenters yeah mojo in the morning you can go see the tree this is your contest yeah yeah no these are no these i don't even know like brown bug yeah no these are people that i meet on only fans uh my problem is that uh to take the thing down i chelsea says i do a bad job and i got the responsibility of doing it i have to like make sure that all of the branches like are all before i put it into we have you know like a bag that we put in.

02:20:00 - 02:20:09 | Speaker 1:

into and then i have to put it in the basement and it's just a pain in the ass like i'd rather want to do it i'd rather just sit on my couch i don't know you and i got very different responses

02:20:09 - 02:20:15 | Speaker 3:

because when i posted my christmas tree still being up uh god take it down ridiculous that

02:20:15 - 02:20:26 | Speaker 2:

it's still up get it together like like it is hurting it is that person that you still have your christmas tree you know i'm very effective it is it is interesting by the way it is it it's

02:20:26 - 02:20:37 | Speaker 1:

kind of a uh i don't know like a rorschach test people react differently to each member of the show if shannon still had it up there they would go it's the prettiest thing i've ever seen the

02:20:37 - 02:20:45 | Speaker 4:

most spirit and joy spreading and radiating through everybody it's so beautiful i just

02:20:45 - 02:20:55 | Speaker 1:

think that you are wonderful you know megan is so lazy kevin still has his tree up there is like What are you, broke man? What's going on? You know what I mean?

02:20:55 - 02:20:58 | Speaker 4:

Like people react to some help. Is that even decorated? You call that decorated?

02:21:00 - 02:21:02 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, Joy? How you doing?

02:21:03 - 02:21:37 | Speaker 6:

Hey, first time on time. Hey, some joy on the show. I've been listening since Megan was an intern at Toledo. Oh, that is a long time. I'm old. Yes, and no, we're not old. But this was the perfect topic for me because I have the most eccentric boyfriend ever. Every year he gets a real tree and he sees how long he can keep it up and alive. He has last year's Christmas tree up still this year. Oh, man. So it's over a year now.

02:21:37 - 02:21:39 | Speaker 1:

Wait, and it's a real tree?

02:21:40 - 02:21:54 | Speaker 6:

It's a real tree. I don't know how he keeps it alive. He has, he says Sprite. He has a little trick. but it was alive for about three months before christmas yeah i know he's like we used to have

02:21:54 - 02:22:04 | Speaker 1:

real trees all the time we'd go buy them over at saint mary's and we would bring it home and within a week because of the heat in our house the thing would be dry and brittle it'd be a fire hazard i

02:22:04 - 02:22:28 | Speaker 2:

don't know what it was this year of ours we got ours at flakes and they i felt so terrible and you know i yanked those things out like the day after christmas they were still so fresh no needles coming off i was like is it that's crazy i don't know but last year mine died right away like they were dead on christmas day the kids would pick out a present and all or all the needles would fall all over their present but this year man they were kicking my thing was i was stepping

02:22:28 - 02:22:33 | Speaker 1:

on the needles and hurting my feet like i had broken glass on the ground what's going on

02:22:33 - 02:22:59 | Speaker 7:

samantha hi good morning good morning what's up we bought the floor model at home depot christmas of 2022 when we bought our new house yeah and i just ordered the the storage bag from amazon so we could put it away so it's been up for over two years that's gotta be a record oh my god it was out of the way but we we still turned it on and stuff so it's finally put away would people

02:22:59 - 02:23:04 | Speaker 1:

ever come over and go what in the hell like would they look at you funny yeah but you know all of

02:23:04 - 02:23:09 | Speaker 7:

our friends and family know how we are so it's really not i guess out of the ordinary for us so

02:23:10 - 02:23:19 | Speaker 1:

That's great. You know what? It doesn't make me feel bad when you call up. Like, the people that are passing judgments, it makes me feel bad, you know?

02:23:19 - 02:23:20 | Speaker 7:

It's your house. Who cares?

02:23:21 - 02:23:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, thank you for the call. I appreciate you, Samantha.

02:23:23 - 02:23:24 | Speaker 7:

Of course.

02:23:24 - 02:23:31 | Speaker 1:

All right, take care of yourself. Well, Pink Pro, the Pink Pro people. They really are the best. Love you guys.

02:23:32 - 02:23:37 | Speaker 5:

I just hope it doesn't look dry and nasty and depressing in here. You know what?

02:23:37 - 02:23:39 | Speaker 1:

But it ain't changing to depressing.

02:23:41 - 02:24:00 | Speaker 5:

You guys. This ain't enough, like, to change that. You think it looks depressed out there? No, I'm saying, like, look at the beams. They just dry. Those are beautiful beams. Those are, are you kidding? I want those in my house. They're amazing. They have the rustic look. But they do look dry. It's wood.

02:24:00 - 02:24:01 | Speaker 2:

It's dry.

02:24:01 - 02:24:06 | Speaker 5:

Look, my house is like this. The whole ceiling is wood that you can see. I get it.

02:24:06 - 02:24:14 | Speaker 2:

You know what we should get, honestly, is those bistro lights and string them from beam to beam. You know what I'm talking about? That's cute. Okay, well, I'll tell Colleen.

02:24:14 - 02:24:21 | Speaker 1:

Can I ask a question? Who's doing a puzzle? Everyone. What is that?

02:24:21 - 02:24:35 | Speaker 5:

Colleen brought a puzzle. That's our boss, our big boss, by the way. I want to say what she told me, she spent like 40 minutes one night when nobody was here and started doing it. And I feel like everybody within iHeart Detroit should at least add one piece to it because we're all a piece to the iHeart puzzle.

02:24:36 - 02:24:42 | Speaker 1:

Now you're going to make me feel bad for the fact that I'm thinking to myself, shouldn't people be working instead of doing a puzzle?

02:24:42 - 02:24:44 | Speaker 5:

Just put one piece on there. That's all you got to do.

02:24:45 - 02:24:48 | Speaker 1:

You know how difficult my life is? I can't even get my Christmas tree down.

02:24:48 - 02:24:56 | Speaker 2:

You want me to go there and do the puzzle? This is the Midwest's number one morning show. And that's kind of sad. Mojo in the morning.

02:24:56 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 1:

How are you? Hi, guys. I have no idea who you are.

02:25:00 - 02:25:33 | Speaker 3:

you guys are but i love you i love you come on in come in we'll say hi to you i love it come on in say hello i'm opening the door this way uh want to win tickets to see tate mccray text tate to 95500 and you got a shot text tate to 95500 standard text and data rates to apply you can't wave out there and not let us know who you are do you guys spend money on this radio station and if so why aren't you spending more huh who are who are these guys who are who got her who's everybody But one time I said that, and the person actually worked with us. And I was like, they're like, hey, we work with you.

02:25:33 - 02:25:34 | Speaker 4:

Not in one time, many times.

02:25:34 - 02:25:35 | Speaker 3:

Who are you? What is your name?

02:25:35 - 02:25:41 | Speaker 4:

Hi, I'm Marissa Bradley. I'm part of the Michigan Central team for a Ford Motor Company. I love it.

02:25:43 - 02:25:44 | Speaker 3:

Built Ford tough.

02:25:44 - 02:25:49 | Speaker 4:

Come on now. Just on the street. So we wanted to welcome you. It was great to be neighbors. Oh, my God. I love it.

02:25:50 - 02:25:59 | Speaker 3:

That is fantastic. You know what would be a real welcome? Get an F-150 that maybe Megan can drive? Megan needs a car right now. Megan needs a car. She does Zod Ford commercials in Holley.

02:25:59 - 02:26:01 | Speaker 2:

And then I'm not key. Yeah. That's what I'm driving.

02:26:01 - 02:26:02 | Speaker 3:

Are you really?

02:26:02 - 02:26:04 | Speaker 2:

That car is dangerously fun.

02:26:04 - 02:26:05 | Unknown:

It's fast.

02:26:05 - 02:26:11 | Speaker 3:

It's unexpected. Can we get a tour of the building? Of course. I'd love it. I would love that. How do you guys like the new place?

02:26:12 - 02:26:23 | Speaker 4:

I mean, it's great. I mean, we've got 30 acres over there. She's got to visit us. Okay. There's 130 startups now down there. So all working on the future of transportation, mobility. Love it. And then the station's great for everyone. Everyone can come down seven days later.

02:26:23 - 02:26:44 | Speaker 3:

Well, it looks great. And the big blowout party that you guys did was amazing. Incredible. That was incredible. I will tell you, it is kind of weird because I have been driving to our old location in Farmington Hills for 24 years and now driving downtown. Like, I love going to the restaurants and doing all this stuff, but I'm still not even used to the drive down. Did you get to get used to a new drive?

02:26:44 - 02:26:53 | Speaker 4:

Yep. Coming from Ann Arbor. And then inside of Dearborn, coming to Detroit, but it's great. I mean, even out here now is amazing. Yeah. I mean, Easter market. It's so fun here. I really do like it.

02:26:53 - 02:27:21 | Speaker 3:

Well, hang out with us. Shannon's going to do the dirty. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Bill Ford used to call us, by the way. This is a funny story. Bill Ford would call, and he would call when he would listen to the phone scams back in the day at 7.50 every morning. And it was wild. Out of the blue, I'd get like a call or two, and he'd be like, hey, my God, I'm in the car. And that was way back, obviously, when he was doing drives to school with his kids. But over the years, we've always had a great relationship with Bill and the Ford family.

02:27:21 - 02:27:28 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember the bit we did where you guys would call random people and have me flirt with them? them and see the reaction and one time it was bill ford and you didn't tell me it was bill ford and

02:27:28 - 02:27:39 | Speaker 3:

i was yeah mortified still he was a gentleman he was a gentleman very much so very much so a gentleman ford's a great company we love ford all right what do you got shannon okay so bachelor

02:27:39 - 02:28:18 | Speaker 2:

alum rachel kirkunel sitting down for the caller daddy podcast yesterday and opening up about why i still don't get it why matt james ended their four-year relationship during their trip to tokyo earlier this month just shocking every person in bachelor nation and she explained it came out of nowhere everything was fine they did have a dinner that night when all of this went down where they were like off their energy was off so they didn't really talk the entire dinner got back to their hotel and it was like the floodgates opened he said that at the end of the day there were

02:28:18 - 02:28:55 | Speaker 1:

just qualities about me that he worries about having in a wife like at the end of the day like there are things that we aren't compatible with and like the whole accountability and saying sorry and all that was really the main thing and um yeah it was just one of those things where he I think just had this realization that I should want to propose to you by this time like at this point in our relationship I should be wanting those things and I should be ready for

02:28:55 - 02:29:26 | Speaker 2:

that but I'm not still not only wrong with that not only didn't well because they they had been talking about having babies he had told her give me some ideas for engagement rings like She thought that they were on this path, and then all of a sudden he was like, I don't know if I ever see myself proposing to you. I don't feel the need to do that. I don't know if you're my perfect person. I don't know if I could ever see us married. And she was like, wait, you just asked me to send you ideas for engagement rings. So what happened? What changed, dude?

02:29:26 - 02:29:30 | Speaker 3:

What happened? Another woman. We'll find that out next week's 30 on the 30, probably.

02:29:31 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 2:

She said there was no cheating, no infidelity on his part or her part, but yeah. Things are no longer amicable between Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly as she gets closer and closer to giving birth to their baby. She's due in March. So, I mean, it's like coming up fast. But sources say that Megan and MGK aren't even on speaking terms at the moment. He is negating that rumor on his social media, captioning a photo of himself. How can sources say?

02:30:00 - 02:30:04 | Speaker 1:

sources haven't said anything that's another maybe there is still some there's another relationship

02:30:04 - 02:30:09 | Speaker 3:

that honestly like they just need to call it quits and move on for the sake of well it's been very

02:30:09 - 02:30:15 | Speaker 2:

off and on since the beginning yeah they're wild but they give me travis barker courtney kardashia

02:30:15 - 02:31:17 | Speaker 1:

vibes i'm also not surprised by this behavior whatsoever dj academics has been reportedly banned from twitch over this ongoing grooming controversy that we're getting some details about users noticed yesterday that his profile was no longer loading on the site so instead if you went to his page you saw a message reading sorry unless you've got a time machine that content is unavailable who's dj academics well if you haven't heard the controversy about this um it was started there was this video that went around showing academics engaging in a very sexual conversation with another 15 year with another streamer who was 15 years old i'm not familiar with like the streaming world and all the all these people but uh this person's name was nower nor n-o-u-r nor yeah okay um and so then all of a sudden people were like oh so you're grooming this 15 year old and it got really yucky for more information on the who dj academics i

02:31:17 - 02:31:32 | Speaker 4:

would consider to be a hip-hop journalist okay really adapted the streaming vibe and he was really i guess made more popular within the last eight months during the drake and kendrick feud drake was feeding him lyrics and all of that type of stuff he's actually featured on one of drake

02:31:32 - 02:32:04 | Speaker 1:

songs so that's where he comes the game between the bills and the chiefs generated an average audience of just over 57 almost 57 and a half million viewers which is a record for the afc championship and the most the most for any conference championship game since the giants took on the 49ers in 2012 and here's the thing um the lions 49ers afc championship game last year was so close to this record we had 56.7 million do you guys understand 57 they're saying that the

02:32:04 - 02:32:27 | Speaker 3:

price of the super bowl ticket is enormous but it's not as high as it ever has been they say the price actually is down from last year's price that was in vegas i think a lot of people wanted to go to vegas if the lions would have made it to the super bowl i would put all my i'd put my children on the fact that the ticket tickets would have set the biggest record and obviously

02:32:27 - 02:32:35 | Speaker 2:

like i we want the lions there i think it would have been the same for the bills i think this is a very boring lineup i have zero interest in wanting to watch this game i'm right

02:32:35 - 02:32:40 | Speaker 3:

i'm megan i might watch the puppy bowl no you're gonna be watching if i don't think so if the

02:32:40 - 02:33:01 | Speaker 4:

Super Bowl logo legend is true. We talked about this a little, you know, a couple of days ago, where reportedly there's this idea that whatever colors are in the logo, those are the colors that are representing the team. But isn't it always right? It kind of is. Next year, they haven't officially come out with it, but reportedly next year is like a blue and a silver. Is it? So it may be the Lions. You might get your Bills matchup.

02:33:01 - 02:33:05 | Speaker 3:

Did you see who the Lions hired as their offensive coordinator, the guy from Denver?

02:33:05 - 02:33:09 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, for the Broncos. They had a good offensive year. He had a rookie quarterback. They did pretty well.

02:33:09 - 02:33:24 | Speaker 3:

It's interesting, though, because he's kind of like an older guy. Like, he's not like, you know, Ben Johnson. But I can't get over. I've seen Ben Johnson come up in my algorithm a bunch. Shannon is so right. He is so much better looking of a guy with a hat on on the sidelines.

02:33:24 - 02:33:27 | Speaker 1:

I saw his hair and was like, I don't have my question anymore.

02:33:27 - 02:33:29 | Speaker 3:

He's kind of nerdy. Like, he's like, yeah.

02:33:29 - 02:33:32 | Speaker 1:

He's not dirty. He's just, I normally like nerdy, but he's very nerdy.

02:33:32 - 02:33:39 | Speaker 4:

Do you think it's situational attractiveness? Like, if you see him on the sideline, he's got his face on.

02:33:39 - 02:33:44 | Speaker 3:

his hat and he got his head set like he's more attractive when a fun play happens you know what

02:33:44 - 02:34:21 | Speaker 1:

i mean we score yeah i don't know and lastly this is a trend that i see gaining steam more and more instagram tiktok uh lots of social media users are being very open and very vocal about launching a no buy 2025 this trend that encourages you to buy as little new stuff as possible or no new stuff Some people are actually making lists of specific items they will not purchase, while others vowed not to buy any non-essentials. And really, it's people are tired of overconsumption. They want to pay off debt. And so it's like.

02:34:21 - 02:34:23 | Speaker 3:

Or they don't have the money.

02:34:23 - 02:34:37 | Speaker 1:

Well, that too, but it's like little changes. Like instead of going into Target to do your shopping where you know you're going to come out with a cart full of stuff you don't need, it's shopping online, going and doing the drive up and just getting the essentials so that you are not even tempted to buy things you don't.

02:34:37 - 02:34:42 | Speaker 3:

We're all going to buy a new Ford today. We're all going to buy a new Ford today.

02:34:42 - 02:34:43 | Speaker 4:

Skirt, skirt.

02:34:43 - 02:34:44 | Speaker 3:

We're buying our...

02:34:44 - 02:34:44 | Speaker 2:

You joke.

02:34:45 - 02:34:47 | Speaker 3:

I'm trying to make it look really good. No, no, no.

02:34:47 - 02:34:49 | Speaker 2:

I'm saying there's a good possibility.

02:34:49 - 02:34:55 | Speaker 3:

If Ford sales go up today, guess what, Megan? We're getting more advertising dollars from this nice lady over here. Go get a Mustang. Yeah.

02:34:55 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 1:

For all of today's Dirty Cuts, up on the podcast, on the totally free iHeartRadio app, or Mojo in the morning.

02:35:00 - 02:35:07 | Speaker 2:

She gets off at 3, 4 o'clock this afternoon. If you can send back that, like, a nice Ford vehicle to drive her home. She lives right down the street, so.

02:35:07 - 02:35:11 | Speaker 1:

Well, just wait. We're going to talk about Ford in, like, literally 30 seconds. Oh, here we go. Don't go anywhere.

02:35:11 - 02:38:11 | Speaker 2:

So, here we go. Directly from the source is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Mojo in the Morning. so I would like to go on record that I need representation I'm going to hire an attorney maybe David Feminino will be my attorney I'm going to hire him to represent me to sue Uber like they're suing the Lyft people for not allowing that lady to drive in the car um my reasoning is i completely i feel like was getting scammed by an uber driver so when i was down in florida i was taking uh an uber i had taken uber from the airport and let me ask you guys a question has this ever happened to you either at you know a situation like an uber or at a restaurant where somebody's working for a tip the entire time that we're driving, the guy is talking to me about his life story and giving me like the horrible things that have happened to him. I mean, let me just say this to you. It was more of a depressing car ride than driving through a snowstorm in Detroit. That's how depressing this car ride was because this guy was telling me his life story and his life story was not a good story. Then when we finally reached the destination, he goes, Hey, can you make sure that your tip is just a little bit better than you'd normally do you know you've heard my story and i'm kind of struggling a little bit and this is kind of like my thing i'm doing to try to make some extra money i felt like i was getting scammed first off i felt like the entire ride was depressing as hell secondly i felt like the guy probably was telling me a bunch of crap and a load of crap because he was making this story so far-fetched and bad and i thought okay here's how you get a good uber tip make it a comfortable ride for me make the temperature be perfect like i like when the driver says hey is temperature okay for you if not i'll you know fix the temperature for you yeah or hey you got you know uh waters that are in the car or there's snacks or whatever the deal is you know or hey you can make phone calls in the car don't worry about it it's not bothering me while i'm driving like i kind of like when they make it seem like this car is their me me casa su casa yeah me What's the Spanish for a car? Me, automobile, your automobile. And I kind of felt like the whole time that all this guy was doing was just looking for his tip and looking for a bigger tip. It kind of, to be honest with you, it made me feel like I was being held up.

02:38:11 - 02:38:14 | Speaker 2:

Like, you know, like, give me all your money.

02:38:14 - 02:39:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Man, I was going to put this as a topic tomorrow, but I feel like my situation kind of speaks to your situation. Yeah. Yesterday I got a U-Haul because I got some old stuff in the crib that I was packing up and needed to get out of there. Oh, you're still out of your old place. So all of the essentials are, like everything I thought I cared about. I knew there were a few things that were there, but it's a lot more there than I thought it was. So I got to go back even after the show. But in order to get, so I go get the U-Haul and I'm having a good time. Shout out to Sienna, who was the woman that assisted me. She says, make sure you leave us a great review. We're one away from getting free lunch. And I'm like, yeah, okay, why not? Where do I do it? I scan the thing. I write an incredible review. I say it out loud as I'm doing it. I come back a few hours later to drop off the car. There's a different woman there. And I'm like, yeah, I left the review. So glad you guys are going to get your free lunch. She's like, we just do it for bonuses.

02:39:05 - 02:39:38 | Speaker 2:

She lied, bro. That woman wanted a bonus. She lied. She scammed you. Which, by the way, I don't mind that so much because at least she is, you know, just asking you. She's not asking you to take money out of your pocket to give them. She wants to take money out of her work's pocket. A lie is a lie. Okay. So when a person tells you their story, I almost feel like I need to verify it from now on. Like, all right, prove it. Call your boss right now. You know? Like the Uber guy that was telling me the story about his wife and she took the kids, call her and let me talk to her.

02:39:38 - 02:39:39 | Speaker 1:

Face timer. Yeah.

02:39:41 - 02:40:34 | Speaker 2:

Tell her you're on with some stranger in the backseat of your car. I just don't want like you you get a tip by doing great work right you know like I go to restaurants I'll go to restaurants and if I go to a restaurant I will give that you know server a great tip if they're friendly if they're asking you know hey can i you know refill your drink if they're um attentive like you know i got like to me like that's that's the best i will always you're getting 20 or higher 20 or higher on that tip i never give less than 20 because i'm afraid that somebody will go and say something i got david chuck's social media but but needless say I've always gone over and above if the person's fabulous, you know, like there's some great, you know, servers we have in all of our listening areas and you can tell,

02:40:34 - 02:40:41 | Speaker 1:

you can tell that they care about what they do and they make you feel special. You're not just like the next table, but don't beg me for it. You know,

02:40:41 - 02:40:47 | Speaker 2:

don't begging is, you know, literally, you might as well just beg. Don't even drive. What's going on, Michelle. Are you there?

02:40:47 - 02:41:28 | Speaker 4:

Hey, I'm here. How are you guys? I'm good. What's going on? so so we so i got into a car accident long story short yeah and i scheduled a lift i work at the amphitheaters hi kev it's michelle what up shell hey so i take a book a lift to get off we get off for probably about 12 30 at night i'm waiting for the driver i see the driver pull up my ride canceled and I'm like why did it cancel I go to book they charge $30 more to rebook it oh man and the driver was right there I seen him pull in he canceled the ride and I had to rebook with

02:41:28 - 02:42:03 | Speaker 2:

the same driver I wonder if so he must know I wonder if they know their algorithm of when they're doing an excessive fare I hate by the way my thing that I hate is your driver is on their way and either they're not on their way because all of a sudden the guy in the kia cancels and now i've got somebody coming to pick me up in a blazer right and i'm like wait a second what happened to the kia guy the key but they'll say that they'll cancer cancel and i don't know if these uber and lyft drivers get a choice of this and in that case that guy must have known that now he's going to charge you more and you're going to have to give a bigger percentage tip tiffany what's

02:42:03 - 02:43:04 | Speaker 3:

up it's mojo in the morning how you doing hey good how are you good morning good morning what's going on well i am a hairdresser and you would not believe the stories that i get when people are ready to pay their bill they are like oh my gosh my my husband died two years ago i've been in the hospital my teeth are a mess i'm so sad i have so many bills and they bring in their own shampoo and conditioner thinking they're going to get a lesser charge and then yesterday i had a client that came in and her bill was 150 and she pulls out her wallet and she's like oh i only have 145 oh my god i feel so bad like i'm like i feel really really bad so i'm like you know what that's fine and she goes well i go do you want do you want some back i can take a card and she was like no that's okay just forget it i just won't stop at wendy's on the way home today Oh, my gosh.

02:43:04 - 02:43:05 | Speaker 1:

She was laying it on thick.

02:43:05 - 02:43:08 | Speaker 3:

But I got to ask, though, the cost?

02:43:09 - 02:43:13 | Speaker 2:

Like, do these people not know their cost going in? Bruh.

02:43:14 - 02:43:18 | Speaker 3:

They do. They absolutely do. I mean, I've done this lady's hair for 25 years.

02:43:18 - 02:43:22 | Speaker 2:

Wait, this is a client. This is not a new customer.

02:43:23 - 02:43:24 | Speaker 3:

No, this is a client.

02:43:25 - 02:43:43 | Speaker 2:

That's a woman who's had that procedure done, whatever she did to her hair, and you've charged her that she's had that hair thing done, and she's known that, okay, you know what, at that point right there, at that point right there, you're like, wait a second, when she calls for a new rebooking, are you going to give her a booking or what are you going to do?

02:43:45 - 02:43:48 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I'll give her a booking because the next time I'll take a card.

02:43:48 - 02:44:04 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, what you should do is you should tell them off the bat before you even put the little cape around their neck and you should say to them, hey, listen, last time you had some issues with what was going on, I totally understand that, But I just want to make sure before I start doing the work, you know, like I almost feel

02:44:04 - 02:44:11 | Speaker 3:

that's a very good idea. And we've talked about doing that because we all encounter that all the time, all the time.

02:44:12 - 02:44:58 | Speaker 2:

I, and I think, I think that, you know, tips are one of those things where, you know, we were, we were talking about how, you know, should there be guaranteed tips, you know, like, or in, in, should it just automatically be put into the thing? I think that businesses should be up front and just say, yeah, you know what? We're automatically charging you the money and putting the tip in there. Because then I think what ends up happening is everything evens the scales. The no tippers are going to have to pay to go out and eat. And the good tippers are going to actually maybe get a little bit money back to themselves because they've been giving you more of a tip. And maybe they'll still, maybe they might even throw more money. That's what I'm saying. Whenever I go out to eat and I see gratuity included, I kind of, I still tip. Yeah.

02:44:59 - 02:45:03 | Speaker 1:

Like, I've never looked at. the bill saw the gratuity was included just be like oh i guess it's just in there i'm gonna leave

02:45:03 - 02:45:43 | Speaker 2:

now have you ever had it where gratuity is included and the person doesn't tell you that gratuity is included oh yeah for sure and then you get scammed out and you're like wait a second i'm reading i'm reading every receipt do you yeah i'm so bad at that i don't read the receipts i'm bad i actually was so bad i used to leave the duplicate receipt in there and one time got scammed by a guy that filled out the duplicate receipt because i knew how much i tipped and on my phone it will say to me like it will come up on my phone for my credit card under my apple pay it will say how much the meal is and then it re-ups again with a price showing the tip i left really and i i looked and the tip was completely different so you mean they do merchant copy and

02:45:43 - 02:45:48 | Speaker 1:

then they do like customer copy yeah you said you left both in there and he redid the merchant copy

02:45:48 - 02:46:05 | Speaker 2:

he redid the tip wow yeah and added to the tip and then i had a situation where the person put have won on the front of the thing oh my god yeah i look like sucker don't i dude look at this fat sucker that's crazy i'm gonna take him for everything he's got what's going on layla

02:46:05 - 02:46:50 | Speaker 4:

it's mojo in the morning hi layla good morning so i just started ubering about two weeks ago yeah and i picked up a gentleman last friday who was extremely intoxicated at about 11 o'clock in the morning had to air my car out for two hours um anyway the whole time he was telling me about his sexual encounters with his sugar mama susan and he ended up showing me a dick video it was the most uncomfortable conversation and he was like i'm 38 you're 50 to the perfect age and i'm like nice and then he told me he had this huge thing and i'm like i believe you please don't I'm good. I'm good. He showed you proof.

02:46:50 - 02:46:50 | Speaker 2:

Wow.

02:46:51 - 02:46:55 | Speaker 4:

Literally showed me a video of him with the thingy. Yeah, it was very cool.

02:46:55 - 02:46:58 | Speaker 2:

Did he give you a good tip at the end or no? I wasn't the only tip.

02:46:58 - 02:47:04 | Speaker 4:

Well, no, because his sugar mama arranged it, right? Oh, jeez. It was some lady named Susan. You know what you should have done?

02:47:05 - 02:47:14 | Speaker 2:

You had Susan's number since she arranged it. You should have said, Susan, it was really nice that your guide sent this to me. That guy's not taking anything for a while. He's going to be home in the basement, locked up.

02:47:15 - 02:47:16 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, there you go.

02:47:16 - 02:47:21 | Speaker 2:

Hey, thanks for the call. That's Lyft Layla on the phone. What's up, Matt? How you doing?

02:47:22 - 02:47:23 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's up, Mojo?

02:47:23 - 02:47:24 | Speaker 2:

What's going on?

02:47:25 - 02:47:39 | Speaker 3:

Hey, first time, long time. Hey, so as a Lyft driver, we don't get to choose who we pick up. We just accept or deny a ride.

02:47:39 - 02:47:39 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:47:39 - 02:47:51 | Speaker 3:

But if we deny a ride, it lowers our acceptance rate, so we won't get a ride request as much. Question for you then.

02:47:51 - 02:48:05 | Speaker 2:

The overweight rapper lady who we'll talk about in Trending News, if she came out to your car and you felt like the car was not going to be comfortable for her, you wouldn't say anything, would you? You just let her try to fit in the car?

02:48:05 - 02:48:35 | Speaker 3:

so i've had some big people and i use a forward edge it's pretty comfortable even for the big guys yeah however i have a seven and a five-year-old it does not look like a seven and a five-year-old riding the back i keep that thing spick and span clean yeah and i get compliments on that all the time and hell even the uh the back seats lean back for the bigger guys yeah

02:48:35 - 02:48:53 | Speaker 2:

and they love that okay but answer that question though if if that woman you heard this story about how the guy the lift driver said no you're too fat to get in here that guy that guy should never be able to drive a lift ever again i mean it just depends on the passenger if they complain

02:48:53 - 02:49:17 | Speaker 3:

about it honestly no that doesn't make it morally or i don't think you know the story no no no no do you know the story i i do yeah don't get me wrong i i would never say that to a passenger ever yeah i would i would try to help them in hey offer them the front seat you might have some more leg room yeah no oh man with that guy why they would do that that guy that guy that guy i think

02:49:17 - 02:49:20 | Speaker 2:

is going to end up costing Lyft a lot of money, you know?

02:49:21 - 02:49:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you'd be surprised. It's kind of a pain in the butt to really complain about them. But, hey, if he can do it, more power to him.

02:49:30 - 02:49:36 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Thank you for the call, buddy. I appreciate it. What are you shopping for at the grocery store? Love you guys. We love you, too. What are you doing? Cereal.

02:49:37 - 02:49:40 | Speaker 3:

Water, milk, paper towels, everything we ran out of after the kids went to school.

02:49:41 - 02:49:51 | Speaker 2:

Okay. All right. Thank you for the call, man. I don't think he understood what I was saying for a while there, or he's just walking around and he's losing his breath. Because I'm like, does this guy know what the story is? D, what's happening?

02:49:52 - 02:49:54 | Speaker 4:

Yes, what's up? Hey, guys.

02:49:54 - 02:49:54 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

02:49:55 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 4:

I am an Uber driver as well. I'm out driving right now.

02:50:00 - 02:50:13 | Speaker 1:

don't worry i'm on headphones okay what's going on so yeah we don't get to pick but uh about that girl i've had people who get my uber you know you can't decide what type of uber ride you want

02:50:13 - 02:50:25 | Speaker 5:

you know you got to talk on you can't talk on your speaker your headphones your headphones sound like crap can you pick up the phone yep yeah be safe though i don't care as long as it

02:50:25 - 02:50:31 | Speaker 3:

sounds good don't say that no i'll say you heard is that is that better yeah it's better what's

02:50:31 - 02:50:52 | Speaker 1:

going on what were you gonna say so you can decide what kind of uber ride you want you know if you're i know you're a hedging person you know you can get a a larger uber but people choose to get small uber because it's cheaper i'm gonna have four people get in the car that's designed for only three people and they will just pile up or lap up because it's a cheaper way to ride

02:50:52 - 02:51:00 | Speaker 5:

so the woman yeah she she got us she got a smaller car they tell you what type of car is coming

02:51:00 - 02:51:14 | Speaker 3:

yeah no i'm not blaming her on that she done been in she done been in cars before and it wasn't an issue i don't think she the problem here what my boy should have did if he had a problem he should have just pulled off and didn't even stop and engage in conversation if he was gonna act like

02:51:14 - 02:51:25 | Speaker 1:

that he should let her decide herself get in and she what she could have failed she could have made herself fit, that's it. But you do not, you don't body shame nobody. That was wrong on his cab as well.

02:51:25 - 02:51:45 | Speaker 5:

I think what the guy, honestly, what I would have done if I was him, I would have stopped and I would have said, let me offer you the front seat like that last caller said, or try to see, you know, in the backseat what happens. And if she's uncomfortable, she's riding uncomfortable. You know what I mean? What are you laughing at?

02:51:46 - 02:51:52 | Speaker 3:

My brain dude dosed her. he was in there talking about my tires i can't believe you were saying some of this stuff

02:51:52 - 02:52:41 | Speaker 5:

but if you i mean it literally open up the windows and you know what's going on what like make her try to help her fit in the car i've been in i i agree with that caller that said hey you know you can't fit in the car why are you ordering the smaller car because you know it's cheaper i get that idea sometimes i will not i'll order an uber xl because i am a bigger guy and I'm not getting my ass in the back seat of, you know, a car that I can't fit in. I'm 6'3", you know, 200 and some odd pounds. She done bent? How good does that feel to say? It used to be 300. Come on, man. We're doing this, baby. But no, I'm serious, though. But I get it. I get what that guy is saying. But the guy shouldn't have said, you're too big for this car. He should have just said, hey, see what you can do.

02:52:41 - 02:52:43 | Speaker 3:

He should have just drove off if he was going to be like that and canceled it.

02:52:44 - 02:52:45 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I don't know.

02:52:47 - 02:52:55 | Speaker 3:

It's better than being an a-hole and doing all what he did. If you weren't going to allow her to get in the car anyway, then why are you stopping and having this conversation? Yeah.

02:52:55 - 02:52:58 | Speaker 5:

Well, that was dumb on his part. That was really dumb. What's up, Chloe? Hi.

02:53:00 - 02:53:03 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's up, Mojo? Hi. I'm a driver for Lyft.

02:53:03 - 02:53:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:53:04 - 02:53:09 | Speaker 2:

And I'm going to say this. Where he messed up at, he just, he pulled up and he talked too much.

02:53:10 - 02:53:10 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:53:10 - 02:53:28 | Speaker 2:

He should have just, if he was going to climb the ride or whatever, he should have just pulled off. Because, honestly, me, I mean, I drive a little Corolla. So, my backseat is spacious, but, I mean, she's just a little too big. You know what I'm saying? So, I just feel like where he messed up at was just talking too much.

02:53:28 - 02:53:28 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:53:29 - 02:53:55 | Speaker 2:

But at the end of the day, like, going off of what y'all were saying, with her getting that lift ride, she saw what type of car it was. Now, granted, she might have thought that she could fit. I just feel like both of them, I feel like she kind of using this for clout and to pump her music. And I feel like he just messed up by talking too much. But now he's out of, you know, work. And she's about to take off. Regardless, she's going to take off her social media, everything.

02:53:55 - 02:54:10 | Speaker 5:

But here's the thing, though. I don't think she's using this for anything. I think she's using it for awareness to the problem that people can be discriminated against for their weight. I think the whole rapper thing came out because that's the occupation that she has.

02:54:10 - 02:54:11 | Speaker 1:

That's how the news works.

02:54:11 - 02:54:13 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and that's how the news works.

02:54:14 - 02:54:19 | Speaker 1:

And if you saw the hate that she was getting online, I don't think anybody would ask for that.

02:54:19 - 02:54:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I feel like that's bold. That's bold, you know what I'm saying? Well, that's society.

02:54:23 - 02:54:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:54:24 - 02:54:33 | Speaker 2:

But, yeah, I mean, it comes with the territory, you know what I'm saying? Like, her up-loading herself, how she looks. No, it doesn't. It doesn't.

02:54:33 - 02:54:34 | Speaker 1:

Kindness doesn't come.

02:54:35 - 02:55:07 | Speaker 5:

No. It's like, and you're going to hear in a second, she spoke, and we got her speaking out. In a second, you're going to hear from the attorney, and the attorney said it best. You know, it'd be, like, no different than if you pull up to a driver and the person sees a black person, a Muslim person, a Catholic person, a white person, and says, you know what, I don't want to drive that. person it's the same exact thing it's discriminatory but i got 6 000 plus rides and i'm gonna say this

02:55:07 - 02:55:13 | Speaker 2:

it's a certain group of people that i picked up where i always get a one star and i'm a five star

02:55:13 - 02:55:20 | Speaker 5:

driver yeah who are they i want to know which ones which ones i'm gonna say dearborn area we

02:55:20 - 02:55:31 | Speaker 2:

know who i'm talking about uh-oh you know what i'm saying like i don't they only give one stars Yes, man, it's like, I don't know if they'd be mad because I'm not they kind. You know, because it's not a lot of us that drive.

02:55:32 - 02:55:35 | Speaker 5:

What are you? What's your kind? What's your kind? I don't want to make any...

02:55:35 - 02:55:39 | Speaker 2:

Thank you, Kevin. Thank you, Kevin.

02:55:39 - 02:55:53 | Speaker 5:

I'm not going to say that. I thought it, but I'm not going to say it. Ten years ago, I might have said, you're Odie, bud. Now it is. I'm on the straight and narrow. You have the woke police after me.

02:55:54 - 02:55:58 | Speaker 2:

for, like, the last 20 years of my life. I love you. Thank you. Love you, Chloe.

02:55:58 - 02:56:00 | Speaker 5:

I'm black, too, by the way, so we all love each other.

02:56:01 - 02:56:03 | Speaker 2:

You are. You got your black card. I thank you.

02:56:03 - 02:57:34 | Speaker 5:

I appreciate that. You ain't seen him dance. I got my black card. I got my Chaldean, my Muslim. I got my all cards. I love everybody. All right. All right. Thank you for the call. He's collecting, like, infinity stones. You should see my wallet. I got so many cards in there. It's unbelievable. All right, top trending stories. So we were just talking about this. A big story that's been going now around the world. We broke to you yesterday when we were talking to the attorney for, wow, I did not know this. The story that I'm reading right now in the news says exactly how much she weighs. There's no way. What? How much she weighs? It says that she's 554 pounds. That's what the story says. Dank DeMoss, the Detroit rapper who called for a Lyft ride, was going to go to a party to go watch the Lions game. And the Lyft driver came up, and you heard the audio that we played for you. And you'll hear some more coming up in this story, this Jessica Dupnack story, because Jessica got an exclusive interview with her, Jessica Dupnack, from Fox 2 in Detroit and love of my life. Jessica Dupnick talked to Dank. Dank and her attorneys are suing Lyft.

02:57:35 - 02:57:40 | Speaker 3:

Have you been in cars that time? Yes, I have. I've been in cars smarter than that, you know.

02:57:40 - 02:57:47 | Speaker 4:

Deja Blanding tells us she was just trying to get to a Detroit Lions watch party this month when her Lyft rolled up.

02:57:47 - 02:58:15 | Speaker 3:

as i'm walking i see him like making faces or whatever i'm like oh i mean she already knew i can fit in this car no believe me yes i can believe he told her there's not enough room in his car the kicker part was when he started to talk about his tires you know i feel like that was a slap in the face that was like the my tires you know like the driver said his tires could not handle her weight. Every big person you turned on because it can't fit in your car?

02:58:15 - 02:58:19 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, because they need to order the Uber XL.

02:58:19 - 02:58:34 | Speaker 4:

No, I don't never have to order an Uber XL. He apologized, canceled the ride, and left her there. The rapper says she's pretty tough. Dank DeMoss, as she's known at the mic, is crushed by the whole situation.

02:58:34 - 02:58:39 | Speaker 3:

I just want them to know, like, it really hurt my feelings.

02:58:39 - 02:58:42 | Speaker 4:

It looks like a lift might be hurting pretty soon, too.

02:58:42 - 02:58:44 | Speaker 1:

I knew it was illegal, and I knew that it was wrong.

02:58:44 - 02:58:50 | Speaker 4:

Her attorneys, John Marco and Zach Runyon, say weight is a protected characteristic in Michigan by law.

02:58:50 - 02:59:01 | Speaker 1:

It would be no different than a driver pulling up and saying, you know, I don't want to have black people in my car, or I don't want to have Christians in my car, or Muslims in my car. It's the same. Under the law, it's the same.

02:59:01 - 02:59:07 | Speaker 4:

The lawsuit is filed. Since she posted the encounter on social media, other full-figured folks have reached out saying

02:59:07 - 02:59:20 | Speaker 3:

the same thing happened to them. I can fit in this car. Believe me. Yes, I can. I really want people to see what we go through as bigger people. We did reach out to Lyft. They did not get back

02:59:20 - 02:59:41 | Speaker 4:

with us in time for this story. Now, Lyft, Uber, those rideshare companies, they can refuse passengers based on a perceived security threat. But according to Deja's attorneys, is you cannot discriminate based on someone's weight. It's very clear in that cell phone video that is why he denied her ride. Reporting live on Detroit's West Side, Jessica Dupnack on The Edge.

02:59:41 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 5:

So I talked to an attorney friend yesterday. I asked them to go on the air with us. They're a pretty big attorney here in town. They do a lot of litigation law. And I asked, hey, you know, what do you think? You think that they're going to end up getting some money on this one? Said, not necessarily. And I did not know this, but I guess.

03:00:00 - 03:00:04 | Speaker 2:

there was an incident that took place back in the day in Kalamazoo where there was a shooting that

03:00:04 - 03:00:09 | Speaker 1:

took place by an Uber driver. Yeah, you said this earlier. I didn't know that. And if you remember

03:00:09 - 03:01:01 | Speaker 2:

that story, there was like, remember there was an Uber driver that was out on the, he was out or something happened. Like there was a shooting that happened. It was going through Kalamazoo. And I remember there was, everybody was on lockdown and all this stuff. There was a lawsuit back in the day. And I guess there's terms of agreements and all that stuff that are in yours as a Lyft an uber driver's drive where the company is not as necessarily responsible for what an individual does that is driving for working for them and i don't know how they get away with this but there's obviously laws that are allowing this to happen so lyft the corporate may not have the ability to be able to get sued as much as we think like right away i think this story and i think this Dave is going to make, she's going to make millions of dollars because what jury wouldn't

03:01:01 - 03:01:08 | Speaker 1:

award somebody for that? You know what I mean? Seems pretty clear cut. Although Megan, you bring

03:01:08 - 03:01:13 | Speaker 2:

up a great point. You read the comments that people are making and people are not necessarily

03:01:13 - 03:01:19 | Speaker 1:

nice towards her. Not necessarily nice is a severe understatement. But the thing that's interesting

03:01:19 - 03:01:23 | Speaker 2:

is those are the jurors in a case like this, right? No, not necessarily. Those are people

03:01:23 - 03:01:40 | Speaker 1:

just trying to spread vitriol and hate online you can't if you're a member of a jury you're getting presented with evidence and then saying based on this evidence is this legal or not based on the law yeah that's not what happens on the internet is not a jury the internet is evil well

03:01:40 - 03:02:43 | Speaker 2:

you're and you're right but you hope that those people don't hide and then end up holding something up like this but it'll be interesting to see what happens uh with this case not that this story was planned to go to the next story but it's going to go to the next story did you guys see that the average size of a woman's butt around the world and where the u.s compares to it new research shows and found that the average hip size of women in 17 countries which includes usually their correspondence of how big their butts are south america took the top spot with an average hip size of 41.73 inches okay we're gonna have to do some measurements uh here of uh of hip sizes um argentina's number two 41 inches sweden number three with 40 inches where's the united states on this sixth 40.2 inches is the average hip size uh which by the way i say go for it let's go for bigger hips i like i like hip you know hips don't lie i like hips don't lie i mean going back

03:02:43 - 03:02:52 | Speaker 3:

earlier we talked about pd pavo frequently 24 34 46 is that wait so 24 34 46 so 46 is the hip size

03:02:52 - 03:03:10 | Speaker 2:

and once you get it she'll work with it but that's but 46 isn't even the curviest of women in the united states i mean this was back in the day though you know are they factoring bbls or this all natural i don't i think you think bbls are a thing of the past though don't you guys agree uh i don't really i don't think people are doing that i think less of women are getting them but

03:03:10 - 03:03:11 | Speaker 3:

They still out here.

03:03:12 - 03:03:38 | Speaker 2:

Being a vegetarian might hurt your chances on dating apps. Singles following a vegetarian diet may be viewed less attractive by dating partners. This is a study that was done by whether or not somebody will swipe on if somebody actually puts that they're a vegetarian on their dating app profile. Do people do that? Like, do you put on there, like, that you're a vegetarian, vegan? I'm not on dating apps.

03:03:38 - 03:03:40 | Speaker 3:

I'm not on there for real either, though.

03:03:40 - 03:03:41 | Speaker 2:

Megan, do you see that ever? Do you ever see?

03:03:41 - 03:03:47 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I wouldn't say it happens pretty often. I don't think a lot of people are vegetarian, but I'm surprised that would be a deterrent.

03:03:48 - 03:03:53 | Speaker 3:

I feel like it's tougher for you to find places to eat. That kind of like the logic behind it.

03:03:54 - 03:04:45 | Speaker 2:

Interestingly enough, veganism actually had been influenced as a more positive thing. So people thought that was more positive, being a vegan, than somebody who's a vegetarian. I don't get that. I don't know what the reasoning would be behind that. What's the most addictive drug in America? Booze is not number one anymore. The most addictive drug in America? Prescription drugs. Painkillers. Oxycontin, Vicodin took the top spot. Closely behind non-prescription opioids such as fentanyl and heroin. The new study also showed that Adderall, Ritalin, and methamphetamines are in the top spot, followed then by alcohol, which is actually the lowest that it has ever been.

03:04:46 - 03:04:57 | Speaker 3:

That's what we need to be signing executive orders on. We need to figure out these prescription drugs and stop allowing everybody to get them and refill them, because obviously, like you mentioned, people are addicted to this stuff.

03:04:57 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 2:

Well, prescription drugs and fentanyl is like a...

03:05:00 - 03:05:49 | Speaker 5:

People are taking it, and then they're taking it thinking it's clean and it's bad stuff that's coming across. And skinny Ozempic-style phones are coming back. What? Yeah, they call them skinny Ozempic-style phones. Apple and Samsung are reportedly set to introduce their new phones, and they're saying that skinny phones are back, the new trend. One expert says it's more portable, it's lighter, it doesn't feel like a brick phone, Just as Ozempic has given people more slender bodies, they say that the trend now is to have a fashion-chic phone. A-listers like Jessica Simpson and Oprah Winfrey have shrunk in size thanks to their weight loss using Ozempic. They say that...

03:05:50 - 03:05:52 | Speaker 4:

Do we know that Jessica Simpson did that?

03:05:53 - 03:06:37 | Speaker 5:

That's what it says in the story here, but it's a New York Post story. I don't know. did jessica simpson google and see if jessica simpson actually came out and said it was ozempic or one of those shots oprah i know did because oprah said that she was taking uh that jessica simpson hold on she denies she denies it interesting so they put it in this story that she did i don't know why people get so upset about saying that whether how they're they're losing the weight i actually am proud of the fact that i'm doing it i wish that honestly i wish the prices of the damn stuff was more affordable as long as you healthy man and you happy i feel good you want to do in your life i feel good um the idea of a i actually went to the bigger thing i lost weight and i went to the bigger size phone like i got the the the plus if

03:06:37 - 03:06:50 | Speaker 6:

they came out with like a touch screen almost iphone-esque but it looked like the motorola right the mola the motorola razor i look you i love flip phones you thought that was great i

03:06:50 - 03:07:02 | Speaker 5:

like it too because i felt like i knew i was hung up on them all the time you know slam that thing Did you ever break it, though, or did you ever have one broken because a girl took it out of your hands and threw it across the room?

03:07:02 - 03:07:09 | Speaker 6:

I used to have a Sony Ericsson where if we were on the phone call, they had a button on there where you can record the phone call in progress, and the person would have no idea.

03:07:10 - 03:07:22 | Speaker 5:

My favorite phone used to be the BlackBerry. I had one BlackBerry. I had a BlackBerry back in the day, and then the BlackBerry went away. Yeah, it was great.

03:07:23 - 03:07:24 | Speaker 2:

Blackbird Storm was the last one.

03:07:24 - 03:07:27 | Speaker 5:

03:07:27 - 03:07:30 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that far. Nah, sidekicks were where it was at. Really? Sidekick was fired, too, though.

03:07:31 - 03:07:33 | Speaker 5:
