Come on. Let's fill those seven up. You be one of those seven. 844-665-6548, 844-MOJO-LIVE. Tell us what song you would like to hear on this Friday. The last day of January. Is it me or did this month fly by? Because I said that to somebody yesterday. No way. And they said that it was the worst month ever. Really?

00:04:11 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 6:

That was very slow. Really?

00:04:13 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 3:

All right. Well, let's go. Let's get it faster. Come on. Let's go.

00:04:16 - 00:04:18 | Unknown:

00:05:08 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 2:

00:05:30 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 6:

I don't get why it is. Explain this to me. Explain to me why it is that it seems like this has been the fastest month of my life, but yet I hear so many people telling me it's the slowest month of their life.

00:05:44 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 5:

Nah, fast.

00:05:45 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 6:

I agree, right? Yeah. Shannon, though, thinks that this month is drag.

00:05:49 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 7:

Slow. Really? Yeah, I feel like New Year's Day was eons ago at this point. Really?

00:05:57 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 5:

I feel like the earlier part of the month maybe went quicker than the latter part. Yeah. This last few weeks has felt long. It's maybe the cold.

00:06:05 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 7:

But this is how every year goes for me. I feel like January, February, March, April are so slow. Really? And then the rest of the year just flies by.

00:06:12 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 4:

If you told me New Year's Day was last week, I would believe you.

00:06:15 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 6:

I want, this is what I want. I want to hear from you. I want to take some calls. Ten calls says it all. Slow or fast. January, how has it been for you? And then tell us, if it's been slow, what the hell's up with you, and why aren't you seeing a therapist?

00:06:31 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 7:

I am seeing a therapist. Oh, man, you got it right. Since 2016. Slow down. Every Wednesday.

00:06:37 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 6:

I'm telling you, what's going on? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Give us a little bit of love this morning. Let us know that you're listening. If you're not listening, we're going home. We're going to make it February, our first day. You know what? i can't say the word by the way what word i can't say the month is it nobody says it like that or february everybody just says february february everybody and if i hear somebody say february i'm like you're a teacher the r is silent or yeah i don't know how to say the the month yeah but

00:07:12 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 4:

that's not the only thing you don't know how to say i also say milk instead of milk hello hello

00:07:18 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 6:

It's a pillow. You say Chicago weirder. You're from there. Hold on. Fisher is back with us. Fisher, you can't even say Pharrell's name. What am I picking you?

00:07:30 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 3:

I called back. I did want to apologize. I did mess that up royally.

00:07:34 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 2:

How did you mess that up? I have messed up yet, all right?

00:07:38 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 6:

I would love to hear Pharrell happy.

00:07:41 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 4:

I kind of like it, though.

00:07:43 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 6:

Fisher, has it been a slow or fast month?

00:07:45 - 00:07:46 | Unknown:

It's early.

00:07:47 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 3:

So I would like, I think I agree with Kevin. Like, the beginning half of the month, it kind of went by fast. But I think for me personally, the last couple weeks, it went by slow because we started doing 7-10. So not having a weekend, the weeks, it feels like all the day. What do you do for a living? I'm an apprentice union iron worker.

00:08:04 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

00:08:04 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, nice. Local 50?

00:08:08 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 6:

Are you throwing that out? Did you know? Local 45. Ah, I was close.

00:08:12 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 4:

How did you know? They do a lot of advertising in Toledo.

00:08:15 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 6:

Oh, do they? Okay. Well, shout out to you guys. I appreciate you guys for your hard work. Let's go to Todd. Todd, what's up? Slow or fast?

00:08:23 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 1:

Fast. Fast. I was hired about a week into January, and it seems like three weeks has gone by. I got my first paycheck in seven months.

00:08:31 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my goodness. Whoa. Wow.

00:08:34 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 1:

Congrats, bro. I came back here from Virginia and just been growing, but I finally got a job. Let's go. Bye. Slow and bye.

00:08:42 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 6:

Let's go out for cocktails. What do you think? a little cocktail, say him?

00:08:46 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, let's go. All right. Yeah, what is the first thing you buy when you get that paycheck? I don't drink. I don't drink. He's like, wait, no, no, no, I forgot.

00:08:55 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 6:

You go to a liquor store and you buy, what are the big cans of beer? A 40, a big one. Yeah, you go get a, when I see guys on a Friday doing that, I'm like, that's a man right there.

00:09:07 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 7:

Unless it's like the big, have you seen the big, the seltzer? Oh, yeah, you can't buy a seltzer.

00:09:13 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 4:

Wait, what I'm hearing is we should do Edward Fortyhands today.

00:09:17 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 6:

Yes, let's do it. That's what I'm hearing. Edward Fortyhands is yours. Joy, what's up, slow or fast?

00:09:23 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 4:

It's been so slow.

00:09:26 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 6:

Really?

00:09:26 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 4:

It's been very slow. I agree. I really feel like the beginning part of the month went really fast. And then even like the other day, I was like, is it still January? When I was trying to figure out the dates of something.

00:09:37 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, Kev brings up the weather. Do you think it's the weather? Do you think it's all the stuff you had to do? Or what is it?

00:09:42 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we had a lot going on this month, but I think the weather really just fricking zapped it out of me. It was just so cold. It was like we were frozen in January.

00:09:51 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Well, we love you for listening. I hope we give you a good Friday. I hope Friday is fast today. I always love when people say this show just went by so fast. It means that we had a good show. What's up, Sarah?

00:10:00 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 3:

Hi.

00:10:01 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Mojo. I was just kind of to let you guys know that today's the 100th day of January.

00:10:06 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 4:

That's what it feels like. I hate it.

00:10:10 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man.

00:10:10 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 5:

Every year, it's like the slowest month and I think it's just between the darkness and the cold and the letdown from the holidays.

00:10:16 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You know what? And I guess it's funny. Here I am talking about how fast it is. I think I'm only doing that because I still have my Christmas tree up and I'm trying to make it seem like the month went by so fast. I'm just lazy with that. Hey, appreciate you. Oh, my gosh. Bye, Sarah. Have a great weekend. Bye. What's up, Michelle? What's going on, Michelle?

00:10:35 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 5:

It's first time on time. Hey!

00:10:40 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 3:

Welcome to the show. What's going on, slow or fast?

00:10:43 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 5:

Fast, definitely.

00:10:45 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 3:

See, this is what happens when you take care of your mental health. It goes by fast, right, Michelle?

00:10:51 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it feels like yesterday was New Year's Day, you know? It's just, wait, where's January going?

00:10:58 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 3:

Seriously, I'm still writing 2024 on checks I don't write. But, hey, it's not. You still write checks? I know, exactly. Actually, I had to write one yesterday for Luke for Michigan State, believe it or not. It is kind of crazy. And I was explaining to him what it was. He's like, Dad, don't worry. We won't need those. We'll all do Bitcoin. All right, well, thanks. Appreciate you. All right, let's get this thing started. Let's get the show going, and let's get this thing over with.

00:11:24 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 4:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings backing the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:11:33 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 3:

Concert ticket seat, Tommy Richman, going to be at the Fillmore. You guys remember the last scene from The Sopranos? They had, I think it was like Journey playing.

00:11:42 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 2:

Richman says to the poor man, what'd you get your wife this year? He says, I got her a pair of slippers and a d***. Richman says, what'd you get her a pair of slippers and a d*** for? Poor man says, she don't like the slippers, she can go f*** herself.

00:11:55 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 3:

You got to love Tony Soprano. Now, author of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, announced the sexuality of the character Dumbledore in this year.

00:12:06 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 1:

And his time went on, and I got to know Dumbledore. But this is before the publication of Philosopher's Stone. So bear in mind, at this point, I've been with him for seven years. I knew he was gay. I just knew he was gay. Okay. And to me, it was not a big deal. This is a very old man who has a very terrible job to do. And his gayness is not really... I love it. It's not really relevant.

00:12:28 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 3:

And the big song. From Gwen Stefani and Akon. This is a good song. This would be a good throwback song. Well, people know the name. What's the name? You want me to see it? Yeah, go ahead. The Sweet Escape. There you go. What year was this?

00:12:47 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 4:

You talk a big game in the car. Tell us the year this stuff happened. 844-665-6548. You know what I say all the time?

00:13:04 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning. Testing your memory this early in the morning. This is Mojo's Back in the Day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:13:32 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 3:

It was the year that The Sopranos aired their final episode.

00:13:38 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 2:

Rich man says to the poor man, what'd you get your wife this year? He says, I got her a pair of slippers and a d***. Rich man says, what'd you get her a pair of slippers and a d*** for? Poor man says, she don't like the slippers, she can go f*** herself.

00:13:50 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 3:

The author of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, announced the sexuality of Dumbledore.

00:13:58 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 1:

And as time went on and I got to know Dumbledore, but this is before the publication of Philosopher's Stone, so bear in mind, at this point, I've been with him for seven years. I knew he was gay. I just knew he was gay. And to me, it was not a big deal. This is a very old man who has a very terrible job to do, and his gayness is not really relevant.

00:14:19 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 3:

And the big song. The Sweet Escape, Gwen Stefani, Akon. What year was that? Jasmine, what year was that?

00:14:30 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 5:

It was 2007.

00:14:32 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 3:

It was.

00:14:33 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, Jazz.

00:14:35 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 3:

Winner. You got tickets. Congratulations to you, Jasmine.

00:14:38 - 00:14:40 | Speaker 5:

Thank you so much.

00:14:40 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 3:

We're giving you Tommy Richmond tickets. Tommy Richmond at St. Andrews Hall. I made the mistake and said to Fillmore. St. Andrews Hall, March the 28th. Tickets available at LiveNation.com. Congratulations to you. Have a fantastic weekend.

00:14:51 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 5:

Thank you so much.

00:14:53 - 00:14:57 | Speaker 3:

We appreciate you. By the way, Jasmine sounds so quiet and cute, doesn't she?

00:14:57 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 5:

That's because I'm walking around empty floor.

00:15:00 - 00:15:03 | Speaker 4:

Ford Field. I'm trying to get to my post. I'm late to work. What's going on?

00:15:03 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 2:

What are you, security at Ford Field?

00:15:05 - 00:15:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:15:06 - 00:15:14 | Speaker 2:

In this early in the morning, you just kind of sit there and hang out and make sure nobody sneaks in and does anything to the, you know, the field at all.

00:15:14 - 00:15:19 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, basically. Just looking at the dark field. She's got to let us sneak in.

00:15:19 - 00:16:00 | Speaker 2:

I know. We got to get some pictures. When we were there for that career day that one day, we were getting yelled at by the security. I hope it wasn't you, Jasmine. It wasn't me. Okay. All right. Hold on one second. and we'll get set up. Have a great weekend. Right now, a chance to win tickets to see Kendrick and SZA. Squabble. We're going to do squabble today again. So squabble is the word, S-Q-U-A-B-B-L-E. We're going to finally get it right and get some people to spell it right. Squabble. So double check before you send the text to 95500 for a shot to win tickets. You can win tickets to go see them at Ford Field where Jasmine is working. coming up in June.

00:16:01 - 00:16:04 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:16:04 - 00:16:11 | Speaker 2:

All right, Shannon, with what's trending this morning, some of the latest on that plane crash. A lot of stuff came in yesterday about that. What's up?

00:16:11 - 00:16:40 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm kind of going to spread it out throughout the morning, but confirmed yesterday, everybody on board, that American Airlines jet and Black Hawk military helicopter that collided near Reagan National Airport on Wednesday night, everybody has died. Both aircrafts ended up in the Potomac River after that mid-air collision. Crews have recovered the flight data recorder and the cockpit voice recorder from American Airlines flight 5342. This is Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

00:16:41 - 00:17:04 | Speaker 1:

Young Captain, Staff Sergeant, and CW-2 Chief Warrant Officer. Honor, routine annual retraining of night flights on a standard corridor for a continuity of government mission. The military does dangerous things. It does routine things on a regular basis. Tragically, last night, a mistake was made. I think the president is right.

00:17:04 - 00:17:16 | Speaker 3:

Talking about the crew of that Black Hawk helicopter, the pilot of that helicopter was a woman who only had about 500 hours of flying experience.

00:17:16 - 00:17:25 | Speaker 2:

Although I have heard them say, and I heard actually Pete Hegseth say this, that 500 hours is actually a lot of hours.

00:17:25 - 00:17:37 | Speaker 3:

I was going to say, that sounds like a lot. And that's why I was going to say, people keep saying only, only, only, only. That's actually standard. That's not like an under or a low amount.

00:17:37 - 00:18:02 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. And then the, I guess, I don't know what their rank was, but the person that was the more senior person has more than a thousand. But there's a bigger story here, and the bigger story is not the Blackhawk helicopter, even though they say that it should not have been flying as high as it was. It should have been lower. But the big story is that air traffic controller and the fact that they were undermanned inside the air traffic control tower. They had...

00:18:02 - 00:18:10 | Speaker 3:

Somebody left their post early on Wednesday night. We'll get into all of the mistakes made by the FAA in next hour's dirty, but the list is lengthy.

00:18:10 - 00:18:16 | Speaker 4:

Which I understand why that's being brought up. I do. But at the end of the day, the air traffic controller didn't do anything wrong in this

00:18:16 - 00:18:52 | Speaker 2:

scenario, correct? Well, here's the problem. It was the military. Well, no, no. You have an issue where the air traffic controller, there's two separate air traffic controllers usually for helicopters and for planes. And because it was going back and forth, he was obviously giving him direction. The helicopter, you're right, did get the direction of, hey, you got a plane coming in. They think that they looked at the wrong plane because there was a plane also taken off at the time but still the fact that you have the faa not having enough people working inside of that that control tower is scary to me like that's so i agree with you but it still sounds like

00:18:52 - 00:18:57 | Speaker 4:

it was the military's fault like the air traffic controller we just said they saw this the wrong

00:18:57 - 00:19:30 | Speaker 3:

plane the helicopter did i think you could point the finger at several different people or organizations here but to mojo's point from 10 a.m until 9 30 p.m at reagan national airport It is a divided duty. So there's somebody handling the helicopter arrivals. There's somebody, there's obviously a lot of people, but somebody else handling the commercial flight arrivals. And this happened just before nine. So the person who was supposed to man, I believe it was the helicopters, ended up leaving early. And that's why somebody was doing double duty and was literally going back and forth.

00:19:30 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

And if they had a couple of people in there, I would assume that you would be able to say, hey, you got a plane coming in right now. Get away from that entire runway altogether because that was a very little used runway. So I don't know. I agree that obviously the helicopter shouldn't have been there and it's tragic to see that innocent lives are lost, including those that were on the helicopter. But man, oh man, it scares me when you got planes flying in the sky and you're going by an airport and you're thinking to yourself,

00:20:00 - 00:20:06 | Speaker 5:

There's not enough people working in that tower that are the people that, if they make one mistake, people's lives are lost.

00:20:08 - 00:20:28 | Speaker 2:

Swifties will get to see the Rytle on stage at the Grammy Awards this weekend. Yesterday, the Recording Academy confirming that Taylor Swift will be presenting an award on Sunday night. Although, I don't know which category she's going to be presenting for. They haven't announced that, but she will be there. So, if you're watching, if you weren't planning on watching, make sure you're watching if you're a Swiftie.

00:20:29 - 00:20:34 | Speaker 5:

Do you guys think that this is their way of trying to get people, okay, we got to watch now?

00:20:34 - 00:20:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course.

00:20:35 - 00:20:39 | Speaker 5:

Does a presentation get you excited, you know, when you're watching it?

00:20:39 - 00:22:34 | Speaker 2:

I think it's just that somebody's going to be there. She's going to be walking the carpet. You know, they're going to have the camera on her for the whole show. Those sorts of things. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith are still living separately, even after reconciling their broken marriage. I think we're going to talk about this later in the show as a topic. couples who are married but find it better for their marriages to live in separate houses so stay tuned for that but yeah a source of mine telling me that both will and jada are very much living their own lives still married haven't completely severed ties this is just what works for them and apparently this isn't a new thing they've had separate homes for years and years and years now and lastly if you're planning a trip to las vegas anytime soon you might want to check out a new hotel called the autonomous hotel it is set to open this summer in fact you can start booking for it on sunday it will be the first true ai powered hotel in the whole entire world i just looked at it online it doesn't look that nice by the way but um each room is powered by ai from the digital check-in you get an e-butler every guest stay is customized to make them feel very much at home so you fill out a questionnaire before you arrive and then the hotel creates this avatar for you. And then they offer everything they know about you through your avatar. So like what you like for your coffee, what kind of food you prefer, whether you like indoor or outdoor seating, those sorts of things. And at 856 square feet, the hotel's standard room is the largest in Vegas. So if you're looking for some space, this would be the place for you. And if the technology gets to be too much, you can turn it all off. There are actual human beings working at this hotel but if you don't want to see somebody ai the entire way your entire stay they'd be watching you the whole time right there's cameras in the rooms oh i'm i mean i'm sure you have an e-butler that's gonna sit there and just tend to your every need it's got a camera

00:22:34 - 00:22:41 | Speaker 5:

in there who is the who thinks of this stuff like you know what i mean like i don't know i thought

00:22:41 - 00:23:10 | Speaker 2:

it was so remember when we stayed uh at the vidara yes for the i heart radio music festival and this This was probably five years ago, and Megan, you were there, and they delivered, like, any time you ordered anything for room service or if you needed something from the front desk, this cute little robot came to your door. It was wild. Which I'm okay with that, but this whole, like, we have technology in your room just says we're watching. It's a little scary. 00:23:50 - 00:23:52 | Speaker 4:

Hi, how are you guys?

00:23:52 - 00:23:56 | Speaker 5:

Fantastic. We're going to be going for four in a row today. How are you feeling? You feeling good?

00:23:58 - 00:24:03 | Speaker 4:

You know, usually when I get something this far, I start to feel a little nervous. I'm not sure why.

00:24:04 - 00:24:06 | Speaker 5:

Oh, really? Like relationships and things like that?

00:24:07 - 00:24:17 | Speaker 4:

Well, not relationships. More like when I know that I'm doing well, I know there's something going to just be there. Oh, don't, you can't, you cannot think about that.

00:24:18 - 00:24:21 | Speaker 5:

You got to think that you got good stuff in your future here. This is awesome.

00:24:22 - 00:24:32 | Speaker 4:

Don't invite that energy because it will, that seed of inspiration will blossom into a tragedy. Don't do that. Positive thoughts. You're here for a reason, Isabella.

00:24:32 - 00:24:48 | Speaker 5:

Plus, you're taking on Brandon today. And let's go, Brandon. Brandon, are you there? I'm here. Brandon from Whitmore Lake. You're on your way to work. Isabella, Brandon, say hello to each other, meet each other. How you doing?

00:24:48 - 00:24:49 | Speaker 4:

Hello, good morning.

00:24:49 - 00:24:52 | Speaker 5:

Brandon, how are you when you're playing this game at home or in your car?

00:24:54 - 00:24:57 | Speaker 1:

Some days, some days I'm amazing, some days I'm like, what the heck?

00:24:58 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 2:

Very honest.

00:24:59 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 5:

Let's see.

00:25:00 - 00:26:39 | Speaker 1:

which day you're going to have today. We're going to lock you up in a soundproof area, Isabella, and we're going to ask the questions. Five pop culture trivia questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion. Brandon, question number one. This Pistons player, first name is Cade, just made the NBA All-Star team the first player to get the nod since 2019. What is Cade's last name? Question number two, Justin Timberlake is celebrating a birthday today. Guess how old he is. He's 105. I was like, wait a second, that's not the question. No, that's not the question. No, he's 44. What Disney Channel show gave Justin Timberlake his start? Three seconds. Three. I'm going to have to pass. I don't know that one. Question number three. Louis Tomlinson attended Zayn Malik's show in L.A. to show his support for his old bandmate. What group were the two a part of? Told you, Isabella. Rolling Stones? Yes. That is correct. Question number four. Reese Witherspoon is sharing details about her new series, Elle, based on the character Elle Woods from the popular movie known as what? Three seconds.

00:26:40 - 00:26:40 | Unknown:

Three.

00:26:41 - 00:26:43 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Give it a drop right. They're real easy to make, too.

00:26:44 - 00:26:44 | Unknown:

All right.

00:26:44 - 00:27:49 | Speaker 1:

I'll do that one. Pass on that one. All right. Question number five. Okay, I just did this story. It was just announced that Taylor Swift will be presenting an award this weekend at Music's Biggest Night. What award show is taking place this weekend? Thank you, Shannon. It's the Grammys. Brandon, I was really going to call you stupid if you didn't get it that way. Let's do it. Here we go. We're coming back. You got two out of five. You tried. Oh, no. Which one should I give them? I'm sorry. I thought they were easy. Mix it up a little bit. You is a dumb mother. No, you are so dumb. You are really dumb. For real. All right, here we go, Isabella. You're going to win this one. The Pistons, or this Pistons player named Cade. You may not know this one because you're in Maryland. Named Cade just made the NBA All-Star team. Yeah. The first player to get the nod for the Pistons since 2019. What's Cade's last name? Oh, goodness. Three. Something is telling me it starts with a C.

00:27:50 - 00:27:50 | Unknown:

One.

00:27:51 - 00:29:59 | Speaker 1:

I'm not sure. It does start with a C, so you didn't get that question right, but it's Cunningham. Zero to one. All right. All right, here we go. Question number two. Justin Timberlake is celebrating a birthday today. He is 44. What Disney Channel show gave Justin his start? Three cents. Oh, God. Disney Channel show. Three. Oh, boy. Oh, you kidding me? The Makey Mouth Club? Yeah. I'll give it to you. Question number three. Louis Tomlinson attended Zayn Malik's show in Los Angeles to show his support for his old bandmate. What group were the two a part of? Oh, the One Direction. The Rolling Stones. I'm sorry. Two to one. You got it. You got it. You know who opened? I know it's been one of those days. So, question, get a clean win now. Get the rest of these right. Reese Witherspoon is sharing details about her new series called Elle based off the character Elle Woods from what popular movie? Three seconds. Oh, I'm going to pass on that one. Do you remember the movie Legally Blonde, which made her very famous? Stays two to one. And last question. It was just announced that Taylor Swift will be presenting an award at this weekend's award show. It's music's biggest night. What award show is taking place? The Grammy. Three to two, final score. Very nice. It's a struggle. It's a struggle because it's still January. That's why it's a struggle. You're coming back for our first round in February. Isabella we'll see you on Monday okay Brandon we're going to set you up with a parting gift thank you to Disney on Ice happening Valentine's Day at Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit we're going to give you a four pack of tickets and we're back with actually I'm going to play a song

00:30:00 - 00:30:02 | Speaker 5:

I get a Friday world premiere song.

00:30:02 - 00:30:04 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the mornings, 5 at 6.55.

00:30:18 - 00:30:51 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the morning. Home of War, The Roses, second date update. Throwback throwdown, Five Lies Tell Your Mom, The Dirty on the 30 Am I the A-Hole? Good to have you guys with us today Shannon, Megan, Kev We've got Mike with us today KP, Lydia Zach, Bianca It's good to have everybody here I was informed yesterday That, and I did not know this But I was informed by my wife That we are separated

00:30:51 - 00:30:55 | Speaker 4:

Let me tell you this story

00:30:55 - 00:33:29 | Speaker 5:

This is a good story so chelsea uh and i talked on the phone yesterday chelsea's uh down in florida and uh she's uh down there and she get you know we always we we have like this we have a great great marriage going on right now which knock on wood maybe me bringing this up on the radio will probably hurt it or something i don't know but we have really good things going on right now and she said to me she goes you want to hear a funny story and i said what's that she goes we're separated i go we're separated. What are you talking about? And she said, I got a phone call from my friend. And so her friend called her and said that a friend of hers called her and said, did you hear that Mojo and Chelsea are separated? And she goes, no, they're not separated. I'm like one of Chelsea's best friends. And she goes, no, they're separated. I'm telling you, they're separated. And so she said, well, I don't think that that's true. What, you know, what is making you think this? Well, I was listening to their podcast and their podcast on there, it's obvious they're separated. And so Chelsea and I do this podcast called the, we don't podcast. We started this thing like a year or so ago and it's been kind of fun. It's actually been therapy for our relationship because we talk about different things in our relationship, but talk about others, you know, raising kids, all that stuff and the last top or the last um yeah i guess topic the last show was about um people who are living apart together it's a trend that is going on right now with people who are kind of like in my age range like the 40 50 year old age range or going in second marriages where they'll get married to each other with the intention of being together, but not being together. They actually will have separate homes. And we had friends of ours that did this years ago. You should go listen to the podcast. By the way, I couldn't believe I looked at the numbers of this podcast. For some reason, I always think that the titles of things that Zach posts for the titles are always what probably gets people to listen to them. But it's actually a pretty good, pretty good podcast. We talked about friends of ours that started doing this years ago, more than a decade ago. And I thought these guys were insane i thought that they were gonna be failed you know in their relationship because they both decided that they were gonna get married but then decided they were gonna have either separate living arrangements or separate homes totally um so long story short let me go back to this so this lady um i was gonna say names but i'm not gonna say names so she said to chelsea this and i said to chelsea i go isn't that interesting she's so vested in this. I said, maybe she's got a little thing for me.

00:33:30 - 00:33:32 | Speaker 1:

I love that. That was your first talk.

00:33:32 - 00:33:41 | Speaker 5:

And then Chelsea said, we're now officially separated. But isn't that wild? But it's all off of, and I am, listen, I'm guilty of this. I'm a headline reader. You are.

00:33:41 - 00:33:50 | Speaker 1:

I read a headline. You send me a story sometimes and you're like, you didn't do the story. I'm like, because you didn't read the story. You read the headline and it was a million percent clickbait.

00:33:50 - 00:33:54 | Speaker 4:

Do you think it's like that old adage of distance makes the hard girl fonder?

00:33:55 - 00:34:22 | Speaker 1:

I do think that. we talk about that i mean my husband's been gone for the past two weeks he's coming home tonight i'm so excited and i i feel like i have this this new like appreciation or i will have this new appreciation for him i'm so excited to see him like i just yeah i do think that there is an element when you are not around somebody all of the time and you're able to be independent and do your own thing but then when you come together it's so much more special i don't think i'm built

00:34:22 - 00:34:28 | Speaker 2:

to be with somebody 24-7. Like, it's just not in me. Do you guys ever watch Abbott Elementary?

00:34:28 - 00:34:28 | Speaker 1:

No.

00:34:29 - 00:34:37 | Speaker 2:

I believe Cheryl Lee Rolfe does this with her husband. I think they, like, live apart from each other. Yeah, and she loved it. I think it was her that I saw in the interview.

00:34:37 - 00:34:47 | Speaker 4:

I wish we could take this approach with work. Like, imagine only working three days, but then when we come back the next three days, the show's so much better. Well, you have more to talk about, right?

00:34:47 - 00:34:51 | Speaker 3:

I'm with you. You know what I mean? Or maybe, like, every Friday. Yeah, that's straight.

00:34:51 - 00:35:00 | Speaker 5:

I'd actually like to just do that with you right now. I'll see you later. Don't tell me twice. So, Chels and I...

00:35:00 - 00:35:27 | Speaker 2:

have been kind of going in this direction a little bit. And it's not that we're living in separate homes, but she goes down and visits Joe all the time. And so when she goes down and visits Joe and then Jacob too, she goes and sees him in Chicago and she'll stay for lengths of time and she'll be gone. And then it gets to like in our relationship, we've been married, believe it or not, we've been married 30 years. That's incredible. I'm 54. Chelsea is 50. We've been married 30 years. So majority of our lives, we have been together.

00:35:27 - 00:35:27 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:35:27 - 00:36:11 | Speaker 2:

That's scary. It's scary for her. I feel bad, but we, in all of our relationship, even in the beginning, we were kind of lovey dovey with each other. I think, at least I think she doesn't think so, but we never really said how much we missed each other. And I have on, and I'm being really honest with this. I think that post surgery, that heart surgery I had, I think my mortality came into play where now I literally miss her every moment. But I also like the idea that I can order a pizza. You know what I mean? Like, I like that idea, too. And you were talking about Wes. You guys are newlyweds. Yeah. I know you guys are very lovey-dovey, but I'm also, I get, you guys probably get into each other's nerves a little bit, right?

00:36:11 - 00:36:12 | Speaker 6:

Yes, all the time.

00:36:12 - 00:36:31 | Speaker 2:

You were worried about him leaving. Yes. He leaves. Now he comes home. You got all this, like, spark of, you know, the built-up, you know, stuff that happens to you when you have sex. And then three or four days from now, you guys will be like back to, you know, but it's good.

00:36:31 - 00:37:16 | Speaker 6:

I think especially, you know, for second marriages, I have noticed that if you have gone through a relationship and then a breakup and you have spent that time by yourself, like I did for several years and I grew really independent and I got to really like my alone time and that is something that fills me up. I do think that it is important and I think Wes would agree that we do spend some time apart from time to time. Like he has a new job now and he's going to have to travel like every other month. And he was like, do you think that's going to be OK? Are we OK with that? I'm like, I think it's great. I think it's a great idea for us to miss each other and for us to be able to get that time to focus on ourselves so we can recharge and be great when we are together again.

00:37:16 - 00:37:32 | Speaker 5:

And I know we've talked about this in the past and like when you're dating or have a spouse and they won't share any of your interests with you. Like say you're into the ballet and your guy just like won't go with you. Like I do feel like sometimes you need to bridge that gap and do things that you don't want to do. But I don't think that should be a constant.

00:37:32 - 00:37:37 | Speaker 4:

Like it is okay to do some things by yourself. It's really important. It's not just okay. It's very important.

00:37:38 - 00:37:46 | Speaker 2:

It is really healthy. And that was something that I didn't understand when I was young and dumb, you know. Christy, what's going on?

00:37:46 - 00:38:14 | Speaker 3:

Hi, this is definitely exciting for me. My first time calling. I've been listening every single morning on my way home from work to my fiance and our four kids. And I had texted because we never fight. We I don't like being away from her during the week, but it just works out better for me to help with the kids in the evenings.

00:38:15 - 00:38:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:38:15 - 00:38:34 | Speaker 3:

And, like, I get to stay home tonight and tomorrow, and I wait all week for that. It's our time together, and I always am extremely excited for it. And she feels the same way. And as much as it's hard to be apart during the week every night, it does make, you know, the nights that we have together better.

00:38:34 - 00:39:00 | Speaker 2:

It's so funny. I've seen, you know, early in my life people that would do long-distance relationships, and they'll be apart from each other, and you always thought the negative. But you never realize that it actually is a positive sometimes because it makes you more focused and more interested in your partner when you are together. Because otherwise, it's routine.

00:39:00 - 00:39:01 | Speaker 5:

I was going to say, it makes the time intentional.

00:39:02 - 00:39:08 | Speaker 2:

Routine is bad. What's up, Olivia? Hi. Hi, Olivia.

00:39:09 - 00:39:10 | Speaker 6:

She's eating her cereal.

00:39:10 - 00:39:15 | Speaker 2:

Is that what it is? Or is she walking in snow? Olivia. Olivia. something's crunchy

00:39:15 - 00:39:18 | Speaker 4:

you know what it is

00:39:18 - 00:39:24 | Speaker 2:

what is it she's like she's got there she is hold on let's guess

00:39:24 - 00:39:25 | Speaker 6:

the lady's catching up

00:39:25 - 00:39:29 | Speaker 1:

she's uh

00:39:29 - 00:39:33 | Speaker 5:

how does this happen

00:39:33 - 00:39:34 | Speaker 1:

Olivia

00:39:34 - 00:39:36 | Speaker 5:

like at what point did you forget that you called

00:39:36 - 00:39:37 | Speaker 1:

Olivia

00:39:37 - 00:39:44 | Speaker 4:

I'll put her on home give her back to me please yes I love when Lydia gets so mad I know

00:39:44 - 00:39:48 | Speaker 2:

Because you just know she's like, Olivia! What's going on, Beth? Hi.

00:39:49 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I'm actually considering doing that now. I got married three years ago, but had to move from the east side to the west side. So I still commute for work, and then my kids still live on the east side.

00:40:00 - 00:40:07 | Speaker 1:

We've been trying to move, and he's just not that motivated. So I'm actually considering just getting my own place back on the east side for during the week.

00:40:07 - 00:40:34 | Speaker 5:

So are you doing it because you're upset with him, or are you doing it because you – because there's a little bit of thing that you have to think about. You don't want to do it to spite him because you're upset with him, because then if that's the case, honestly, I don't know if it's going to be a successful thing. But I think that if you're doing it for proximity and you're doing it for your relationship to grow it stronger And because obviously, you know, it also helps during the week when you're working, not having to do that long commute. You know what I mean?

00:40:34 - 00:40:37 | Speaker 1:

Right. Right. It's kind of a little bit of both.

00:40:37 - 00:40:37 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

00:40:38 - 00:40:55 | Speaker 1:

Proximity. And he's, we had a, we had a deal. I moved out there while his daughter was still going to high school. She graduated in 2023 and we are still on the West side and he's not like with the program. So I'm like, maybe I need to just go be on my own program for a minute.

00:40:55 - 00:41:07 | Speaker 5:

that's one of those things can I tell you can I recommend something to you that's where you guys may want to go talk to somebody you may want to you know do some therapy before you decide that you're going to actually do move and then bring that up with a therapist

00:41:07 - 00:41:09 | Speaker 1:

there are a lot of creative things

00:41:09 - 00:41:18 | Speaker 5:

and I only say this because I think we've been there done that and I think that then all of a sudden you guys start getting bitter towards each other you know

00:41:18 - 00:41:22 | Speaker 1:

yeah it's already getting there on my side

00:41:22 - 00:41:34 | Speaker 5:

so well good luck to you I appreciate you uh what's up barb how you doing i am well how are you good what's going on well i uh first time

00:41:34 - 00:41:47 | Speaker 3:

long time um well i i find that absence makes the eyes wander oh rather than make the heart Oh.

00:41:48 - 00:41:51 | Speaker 5:

Interesting. Is this coming from experience?

00:41:52 - 00:42:02 | Speaker 3:

Yes, when I was younger. Not now, of course, but when I was younger, when I was in long-distance relationships, or it just made your eyes wander.

00:42:02 - 00:42:06 | Speaker 5:

Okay. But is it okay to have your eyes wander as long as you're not touching?

00:42:07 - 00:42:10 | Speaker 3:

Well, yes, that's true. No. That's true.

00:42:10 - 00:42:19 | Speaker 5:

I set you up for that one. Oh, wait a second. And Barb, you do not sound like the type of lady that's out there getting yourself some strange penis.

00:42:19 - 00:42:26 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no. She didn't say it was strange. Yeah, I did not. But it was when I was much younger.

00:42:26 - 00:42:29 | Speaker 5:

She sounds like the nice neighbor next door.

00:42:29 - 00:42:30 | Speaker 3:

She does.

00:42:30 - 00:42:31 | Speaker 1:

She sounds like she knits.

00:42:31 - 00:42:32 | Speaker 5:

It's like Barb. This is Barb on the phone with us.

00:42:32 - 00:42:36 | Speaker 1:

But has a sex dungeon in her basement. Yeah, that knitting needle.

00:42:36 - 00:42:41 | Speaker 5:

We're calling you Desiree. You've got to have a better name than Barb. What's up, Olivia? She's back. What's up, Olivia?

00:42:41 - 00:42:42 | Speaker 2:

Hey.

00:42:42 - 00:42:42 | Speaker 5:

Hi.

00:42:43 - 00:43:26 | Speaker 2:

I got to hear the radio. Hold on, because it's going to be stupid. Hey, so, you know, I got divorced. I have kids that are younger, and I started dating this man. And, you know, we've been together for now four years. But two years in, I'm thinking, like, oh, no, we should move in together. But, you know, it was just too hard with the kids. And then I also thought at the same time, like, you know, one of the kids are with their dad, and he's at his own house. Like, I really enjoy being by myself. What if I want to sit around and do a puzzle all night? you know it's like it's yeah at some point yeah i'm 47 he's 53 like you got your own stuff going on i work a lot he works a lot but when we are able to like convene it's fantastic so it's funny you do that now although i really want my bill to go down to halfway there you go that's right

00:43:26 - 00:43:50 | Speaker 5:

i i do find it i do find it funny like i used to notice like when chelsea would see people like friends of hers and she hadn't seen in a while i'd see her light up like i don't think she was lighting up for me and i'm thinking to myself sometimes now i see the light up sometimes when she sees me you know like when we get back together after having a little bit of a time apart from each other uh kim what's up it's mojo in the morning hi good morning uh i just want to

00:43:50 - 00:44:09 | Speaker 4:

say first time long wow love it so i have actually been with my boyfriend for about seven years um and we have never lived together um we lived in different cities here and there but i'm actually going after work today to sign a lease for an apartment that's literally across the hall from

00:44:09 - 00:44:22 | Speaker 5:

his oh my gosh that's wild so instead of having a two-bedroom apartment where you guys each have your own room it's like friends you want to have your own yeah exactly you're rachel and uh and

00:44:22 - 00:44:42 | Speaker 4:

that's ross what's going on why are you guys doing that basically it's basically that it's i like my things a certain way he likes his things a certain way and there was a point in our relationship like you guys mentioned earlier where our time together got really routine and that wasn't good for us so this is definitely working out a lot better you know what whose

00:44:42 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 5:

apartment is going to be decorated nicer oh mine i'm interested to see how that works will you call us later and will you come on the air with us and maybe even come on the podcast with chelsea and i yeah sure i would love that that would be awesome to hear because here you are you're doing

00:45:00 - 00:45:03 | Speaker 7:

it intentional but you're doing it intentional in the same apartment complex and they've been

00:45:03 - 00:45:13 | Speaker 5:

together for a long time but the only thing that makes me nervous nervous is if you separate and then you can hear them with other people well let's not let's not think that well okay all right

00:45:13 - 00:45:19 | Speaker 4:

yeah let's hope the show not jumping right to that conclusion come on well that's the thing

00:45:19 - 00:45:28 | Speaker 7:

you don't want to do and that's the part that you get should go check it out uh living apart together is on our mojo in the morning we don't podcast and you can check it out on the iheart radio app

00:45:30 - 00:45:39 | Speaker 1:

Add Mojo in the morning to your presets on our free iHeartRadio app. And never miss War of the Roses. The second date update. Am I the a-hole? Or the throwback throwdown?

00:45:40 - 00:45:58 | Speaker 7:

All right, it is Mojo in the morning show. So this next conversation that we're going to have here right now is going to be Kev and Lydia teaming up together. The dream team is here because both of you guys want to get some stuff off your chest. What's happening?

00:45:59 - 00:46:02 | Speaker 6:

You want to start? Like, how do we want to have this conversation?

00:46:02 - 00:46:05 | Speaker 2:

Kev, I'm going to have you go first. You explain, and then I will piggyback.

00:46:05 - 00:46:41 | Speaker 6:

All right. I'm just tired of people in particular, or specifically women, who deal with dudes, and they have these highs and lows where everything's great, and then they break up or they stop dealing with the dude because he did something stupid, and then they come back around, and everything's great, and they do this, like, yo-yo thing, and I'm tired of hearing about it. And I don't feel like I need to sit there and listen to it or try to act like I'm okay with it. Just know that you're about to have your feelings hurt if you consistently want to get on this ride. Like the on-off, on-off, on-off relationship. Why are we doing this?

00:46:42 - 00:46:42 | Speaker 2:

I agree.

00:46:43 - 00:46:45 | Speaker 7:

Guys, explain. Who are you talking about?

00:46:46 - 00:47:03 | Speaker 2:

So, hypothetically speaking, when I tell Kev that my ex and I talk here and there, and then I complain about certain fights or conversations that we have, he tells me that he really doesn't want to hear it anymore because he's like you're going back and forth and you're talking about this constantly we don't want to hear it so he thinks that you

00:47:03 - 00:47:07 | Speaker 7:

think that Lydia is making mistakes by constantly going back to the guy that keeps on hurting her

00:47:07 - 00:47:26 | Speaker 5:

yes touche but at the same time I don't even think that matters don't rope me in and all the time I have this problem all the time if I have an issue when I'm dating somebody I tell my brother about it because you ruin that reputation for that person in the future so even if I reconcile and move on you have damaged the relationship between the person you've venting to and the person who

00:47:26 - 00:47:37 | Speaker 6:

hurt you yes and i don't even know oh boy i'm just tired of seeing lydia hurt for one and it's annoying af because i can't say as you know i'm saying the vibes i want to say are you talking

00:47:37 - 00:47:46 | Speaker 3:

to him again lydia uh we talk here and there that's what i'm saying like wait a second and now we're we're all on kev's side you're not rekindling with him right right i mean as of

00:47:46 - 00:47:48 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. But that's what I'm saying.

00:47:48 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 6:

That's what I'm saying. Why is the door even open? Because that's what happens eventually. Correct. It starts with a little text. As soon as you let somebody in, especially a man, especially if you don't let him smash, he thinks he got you forever, bro.

00:47:59 - 00:48:00 | Speaker 2:

Keep talking.

00:48:00 - 00:48:01 | Speaker 6:

It's hypothetical, right?

00:48:01 - 00:48:10 | Speaker 2:

I'm not saying you're wrong, because sometimes I even get tired of going through it to the point where I don't even want to talk about it. But then when I do talk about it, I can understand why you get annoyed by it.

00:48:10 - 00:48:14 | Speaker 6:

And you can't be mad at a dude for killing you if you give him the knife to do it.

00:48:14 - 00:49:01 | Speaker 3:

But here's the thing that I have learned, Kev, with this, because I've had this happen with several people in my life. And as much as you want to shake them by the shoulders and and force them to see the situation from the outside, you we all have opinions about it. But you have to let that person in this case. It's our sweet Lydia. So we're so protective. Like we have to let Lydia. And this sounds terrible, but like hit rock bottom with this dude herself and figure it out for herself. No, I don't think I already have. She hasn't yet. No, but you haven't. No, she's had a bad one. No, you haven't. Because? Because if you had, you would block him in every aspect of your life and never even entertain responding to anything that he said. Correct. And it is so hard to do as a friend.

00:49:02 - 00:49:13 | Speaker 7:

I think the problem is Lydia is so specific of the culture that she wants to marry. And I think that the problem is she thinks that's the only guy that she can marry that's in that culture.

00:49:13 - 00:49:15 | Speaker 3:

Lydia is like a freaking prize.

00:49:16 - 00:49:35 | Speaker 7:

She's an amazing prize. But the problem is she's settling for less if this is the case. Now, there could be, and I'll give benefit of the doubt because I do think Lydia does have a good gut. Maybe not with guys. But it could be this guy's changed. Maybe this guy's repented for some sins. Has he, Lydia?

00:49:36 - 00:49:38 | Speaker 2:

Sorry, I was taking a call. What did you say?

00:49:38 - 00:49:41 | Speaker 7:

Has he repented for the past sins that he's created for?

00:49:41 - 00:49:56 | Speaker 2:

not necessarily obviously when we have certain conversations I can't help but get over the past like I can't get over it so I'm always throwing it in his face and I don't think I I don't know if I can ever get to the point of forgiveness

00:49:56 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 7:

alright let's ask the listeners what their thoughts are on this 844 Mojo Live

00:50:00 - 00:50:21 | Speaker 2:

444-665-6548. Kevin is tired of Lydia talking about this guy and now going back to this guy. We've heard the bad stories about this guy. Now we're hearing that Lydia's still talking to this guy. I thought this guy was over with. I feel like I need to have a conversation with Lydia's dad.

00:50:22 - 00:50:25 | Speaker 4:

Your voice is saying something different than your words are.

00:50:25 - 00:50:26 | Speaker 2:

Sierra, what's up?

00:50:26 - 00:50:56 | Speaker 3:

so i can't remember what the quote was but it was along the lines of being careful who you vent to because you are more likely to forgive them and you are more likely to get over what they did if you don't that's great don't get over it don't go back but if you already told someone about it they're not going to forgive them they're going to hold that against them more likely than you are so you have to be careful who you get into that's why when you have a bad relationship

00:50:56 - 00:51:06 | Speaker 2:

or a bad marriage, you do not tell anybody about it but your therapist because your family's not going to come around again. You know, they're going to have issues.

00:51:06 - 00:51:07 | Speaker 5:

They're never going to forgive us. No.

00:51:08 - 00:51:12 | Speaker 2:

And I like that Kev's looking out for Lydia, but don't give up on Lydia, Kev.

00:51:12 - 00:51:21 | Speaker 1:

But no, my thing is it's not the – I don't think I'm the problem here. I don't think venting to me is the problem. I think going on this merry-go-round is the problem. Correct.

00:51:21 - 00:51:22 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Nicole?

00:51:23 - 00:51:31 | Speaker 5:

Hi. First time, long time. Thank you. I love you guys.

00:51:31 - 00:51:32 | Speaker 2:

We love you too.

00:51:32 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 5:

We love you too. I was in high school with a friend that was going through something like Lydia is talking about, where the guy is definitely using her and just really making promises and things like that. And what happened? And I was in Kevin's shoes where I told her that I don't think that, you know, this is going to work. He's just using you. And at the time, she's like, yeah, you're right. And then she totally, like, nixed me as a friend. She blocked me.

00:52:14 - 00:52:16 | Speaker 2:

Do you think Lydia's going to do the same to Kevin?

00:52:18 - 00:52:20 | Speaker 5:

Since they work together, I don't think so.

00:52:20 - 00:52:28 | Speaker 2:

but lydia can never can never lose her kevin kevin is kevin is the the guy that uh that lydia

00:52:28 - 00:52:58 | Speaker 5:

literally loves to uh to argue with yeah and i think kevin you know is definitely you know he has every you know right to be you know wanting to stand up for lydia but you just gotta kind of approach it in you know a certain way that she'll you know she'll understand she's she's a grown woman she'll be able to i'm not you know we're not in high school and you know it's amazing for

00:52:58 - 00:53:24 | Speaker 2:

for all those that don't know the culture of being a chaldean usually you have brothers that are the ones that look out for you and lydia is an only child that has a brother but it's you know he's a much older brother you're her chaldean brother kevin you need to come in there you drink hennessy You can do this. You can do this. That's all I need. You need, because if Lydia had brothers, those brothers would have a little conversation with this guy.

00:53:24 - 00:53:25 | Speaker 5:

My brother don't be giving a crap.

00:53:25 - 00:53:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, listen, this brother here, he's the brother.

00:53:31 - 00:53:32 | Speaker 1:

I like the double entendre.

00:53:33 - 00:53:34 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Chris? How you doing?

00:53:36 - 00:53:50 | Speaker 4:

Hi, guys. I'm about ready to kind of side with Lydia here. And I'd like to ask, when did it become okay for you guys to put boundaries on your relationship?

00:53:51 - 00:53:54 | Speaker 2:

You can't have boundaries on friendships?

00:53:55 - 00:54:54 | Speaker 4:

Not in this case, no. Listen, she's coming to you and she's saying whatever she's saying. And you're there, and I understand your frustration, Kevin. You want to look out for her. But there's a reason why she's coming to you with this. There's a reason why she's going to all of you with this. And what she doesn't need is for you to tell her that this guy is a jerk. She's pretty smart. She's going to get it. Oh, I disagree. No, Chris, honestly. No, I hear that. I hear what you're saying. But what I heard was everybody's putting poor Lydia down because she's coming to you with the same problem. Listen, I'm a therapist. I get clients coming to me every week. You're a therapist with this comment? Yes. Really? And sometimes I want to say to them, crap or get off the pot, people. We just want you to talk to her.

00:54:54 - 00:54:55 | Speaker 1:

No, I hear you.

00:54:55 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 4:

Listen to her. No due judgment on her.

00:54:59 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 1:

Yes, ma'am.

00:55:00 - 00:55:32 | Speaker 3:

Yes, ma'am. Yes, ma'am. If I could change. No, and I can't. May I? May I? She's not going to let you talk. I just want to kind of shift perspective and perception because you said don't bring her down or don't lower her. And I want to do the exact opposite. I'm trying to rise her above the situation so she can see the forest from the trees. Sometimes we get so focused on what we can see when people who aren't, you can't read the label from inside of the bottle. And I think Lydia's inside of the bottle unable to see the full scope. And I'm that voice of reason. And I'm not just going to stand by and be quiet.

00:55:32 - 00:55:42 | Speaker 5:

Do you know what we do as therapists? What we do as therapists is we meet our clients where they are at. You need to meet Lydia where she is right now.

00:55:42 - 00:55:43 | Speaker 3:

I've been there.

00:55:43 - 00:56:00 | Speaker 5:

I love you guys. I listen to you guys every morning. I just feel like, you know, if Lydia came to me with the same issue with this guy, my role as her friend would be to say, oh, my God. Yeah, he sounds like a jerk. What are you going to do about it?

00:56:01 - 00:56:07 | Speaker 3:

Been there before. That's what you're not understanding. This ain't just pop up yesterday. This has been a five, six month long situation.

00:56:07 - 00:56:17 | Speaker 2:

And then when you hear that you think it's finally over with and then you hear she's back together again. I mean, you heard the room. This room got like a little disappointed when they heard that. They think Lydia's better.

00:56:17 - 00:56:24 | Speaker 1:

I never said I was getting back together with him. But you're allowing him to take up space in your life. You're giving him your time. Yes, that I am doing.

00:56:25 - 00:56:32 | Speaker 4:

I'm taking accountability. I totally hear what you guys are saying. You can take accountability and still be wrong. Of course. Yeah, I am wrong.

00:56:32 - 00:56:43 | Speaker 3:

You know what's crazy? We always talk about the power of love and how that's like at times the strongest power. I think oftentimes addiction is stronger than love because you will give up love for things you're addicted to.

00:56:43 - 00:56:44 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely.

00:56:44 - 00:56:48 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes you can get addicted to this cycle that you're in. And I feel like there's some of that in here too.

00:56:48 - 00:56:55 | Speaker 2:

And sometimes you could be addicted to love, right? And it could be the wrong time. And it's the wrong love. Yeah. What's up, Christina? You there?

00:56:56 - 00:56:58 | Speaker 4:

Hey, yeah. How are you guys?

00:56:58 - 00:57:03 | Speaker 2:

Good. You're Chaldean. Can you be Lydia's Chaldean sister and knock some sense into her?

00:57:04 - 00:57:25 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so I totally get it. I didn't get married until I was 39, right before my 40th birthday. So I get it. I settled so many times, and I just feel like she already said she's never going to forgive him. So it's not going to work out. And don't settle for less. She deserves so much better. And it is worth the wait because my husband now is just amazing.

00:57:25 - 00:57:30 | Speaker 2:

And let me ask you this question. Did you end up marrying any of the guys that were from the past?

00:57:31 - 00:57:32 | Speaker 4:

Hell no.

00:57:32 - 00:57:33 | Speaker 2:

Nope.

00:57:33 - 00:57:36 | Speaker 4:

And he's not Chaldean. He's not Chaldean.

00:57:36 - 00:57:36 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:57:36 - 00:57:39 | Speaker 4:

And he's the best thing that's ever happened to me and my family.

00:57:39 - 00:57:45 | Speaker 2:

So what finally opened up your eyes to look past the, you know, the Chaldean?

00:57:46 - 00:57:59 | Speaker 4:

It was just a repeated cycle. I wasn't getting anywhere. I would date the same type of guys who didn't want a commitment, didn't want, you know, was dragging their feet my last relationship was almost six years and i was just done and you know

00:57:59 - 00:58:05 | Speaker 2:

lydia is in her 20s i mean she's young so she is yes and she's gorgeous and has so much to offer

00:58:05 - 00:58:12 | Speaker 4:

so please don't settle yeah the right man is out there all right all right you know treat her so

00:58:12 - 00:58:55 | Speaker 2:

much better thank you for the call i think if kevin does ever you know have to like have a conversation with the guy that's in Lydia's past that's in her present now, you should wear that trench coat. You don't know what's inside of it. I'm telling you. I feel like you're going to pull out like a machine gun or something out of that thing. Alright, it's Mojo in the Morning Show. We're going to give you a shot at Florida. This is the last one. Are we ready? 00:58:55 - 00:59:00 | Speaker 3:

and then we're going to give away the grand prize mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30s

00:59:00 - 00:59:04 | Speaker 2:

shannon's going to get us up to date on everything that's trending there's a lot going on in this

00:59:04 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 1:

dirty so i'll let you take it from here the latest updates on the tragedy at reagan national airport all 67 individuals involved in that mid-air collision so the 64 on board american airlines flight, 5342 from Wichita, and the three on board that Black Hawk helicopter are confirmed dead this morning. Yesterday, we learned that just one air traffic controller was doing the job of two at the time of the crash, coordinating arriving and departing flights from Reagan and directing helicopter traffic. The National Transportation Safety Board said that it's too early to tell whether it was human or mechanical error at fault for this disaster. Among the lost lives, 14 figure skaters. The skating club of Boston was devastated by the crash. Six of the victims were from the Boston Skating Club, including two coaches, two teenage athletes.

01:00:00 - 01:00:08 | Speaker 4:

and two moms of those athletes. In fact, this is the dad of rising skating star Spencer Lane. He lost his son and his wife on that plane.

01:00:08 - 01:00:17 | Speaker 1:

It kind of just felt like a nightmare and was hoping I would wake up and it would be that, but it's a new reality that we just have to work through together.

01:00:17 - 01:00:21 | Speaker 4:

Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan breaking down over the loss of these kids.

01:00:22 - 01:00:40 | Speaker 2:

The main lesson I think learned in skating is you get back up, keep on trying, and even when it's hard, you get back up. Even when you're crying, hurt, pain, you get back up and move forward. It's not easy, but that's what we all have to do now together.

01:00:40 - 01:02:43 | Speaker 4:

By the way, I want to tell you this story, too, in relation to this. Another flight arriving at Reagan National Airport was forced to abort landing due to helicopter traffic just 24 hours before this crash happened. So the day before, a Republic Airways flight from Connecticut had to make a second approach at Reagan on Tuesday after a helicopter appeared near the plane's flight path. That plane was able to land safely, but still, same situation 24 hours before. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are now wanting to dismiss Justin Baldoni's defamation lawsuit. That's what the couple told a federal judge yesterday. Each side's attorneys are set to appear in court on Monday for the case's first hearing. By the way, Blake's friendship with Taylor Swift has changed drastically because of this lawsuit. In fact, I am hearing from a couple of different, a few different people that Taylor is taking, they keep phrasing it this way, taking a step back, a pause from her friendship with Blake after feeling like she was kind of sort of used as an intimidation tactic by Blake here. And if you've been following along, you know, Justin Baldoni claimed Blake used Taylor to intimidate him at this meeting with Ryan Reynolds about some edits she had made to the rooftop scene for It Ends With Us. In his lawsuit, Justin said that Taylor showed up, made him feel like he needed to comply with Blake's changes to the script and her direction for the script. and that uncool and unnecessary and I'm saying that in quotes description was reportedly the final straw for Taylor who had never planned to be at that meeting she was supposed to hang out with Blake and Ryan that night she got there not thinking that it was still happening but it was still happening so she just happened to walk into it give her opinion and now she's embroiled in this lawsuit and her people are like are trying to get her as far away from this as they possibly

01:02:43 - 01:03:23 | Speaker 5:

can can i spill some more information i read about online about the rights to this movie so justin baldoni had a clause with what's the woman's name who wrote the book colleen hoover um he had a clause in his contract that he could have the rights to the movies or the books um if he didn't have any sexual harassment or violence claims against him and if he did that he would lose his rights to making these movies and so a lot of people are wondering was blake trying to get rights to it starts with us by kind of taking over all this and having these allegations against him so we lose it again that was just internet rumors obviously but

01:03:23 - 01:03:55 | Speaker 4:

makes another layer to the yeah soldier boy is threatening to sue rapper bad baby after she made allegedly false claims about his personal life. This story drags on in her diss track Overcooked. Bad Baby accuses her rival, Alabama Barker, the daughter of Travis Barker, of hooking up with both Soulja and Tyga, who Baby claimed got Alabama pregnant. Both Alabama and Tyga quickly denied the allegations. So did Soulja Boy on Instagram Live yesterday. Stop playing with me. You ain't no bad

01:03:55 - 01:04:27 | Speaker 3:

I'm just moving on to the next one. I promised Kev I would shout out Cade this morning, so I'm doing that right now, and he deserves it. He absolutely deserves it. Shout out to Cade Cunningham, who made the NBA All-Star Game the first Pistons player to get the nod since Blake Griffin did it back in 2019. Come on. Come on.

01:04:46 - 01:04:48 | Speaker 3:

Huge, huge. Detroit Pistons. Let's go, baby.

01:04:49 - 01:04:49 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:04:49 - 01:04:51 | Speaker 3:

Motorcade!

01:04:51 - 01:04:55 | Speaker 1:

If he didn't make it, it would have been a travesty he's had in such a good year. Such a testament, yeah.

01:04:56 - 01:05:15 | Speaker 3:

That boy had been working hard. Hard work pays off. We've missed over the years. He did not miss with this one. He is truly the number one draft picker. There's been rumors they may trade him, though. Hell no. I shut those rumors down. Okay, I'm making sure that I see him sometimes on these little Detroit Pistons Instagram pages. Don't do it.

01:05:15 - 01:05:22 | Speaker 2:

I believe in Trazier Langdon. We believe. Hey, for all of today's Dirty Catch on the podcast, on the free iHeartRadio app for MojoInTheMorning.com.

01:05:46 - 01:05:47 | Speaker 1:

You got a trip to Florida. You're going to Florida. You said Nora in Florida. I love it.

01:06:41 - 01:06:59 | Speaker 4:

Shake, shake, shake. So, Nora. That's so exciting, Rio. Oh, my God. You know what? For my birthday, I wanted to go. I was like, can somebody take me to Margaritaville? That's all I want. Wait a second. I am so excited. Thank you guys so much.

Come on, guys. Here we go. Let me hear you, Sonora, as you go to Fort Myers Beach. We're staying away again in Margaritaville.

01:07:23 - 01:07:44 | Speaker 4:

You and a friend will be flying to Fort Myers. Some people claim that there's a wall of mine to blame, but I know it's mine.

01:07:45 - 01:08:04 | Speaker 3:

Hey, you got car rental, you're going to stay at the Margaritaville Beach Resort, You got excursion passes, the two guided kayak eco tour from the kayak excursions. 01:08:04 - 01:08:08 | Speaker 4:

Thank you so much. I love you guys. Thank you. We love you too.

01:08:09 - 01:08:11 | Speaker 3:

Hang on one second and we'll get you set up with this, okay?

01:08:12 - 01:08:13 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

01:08:13 - 01:08:29 | Speaker 3:

All right. Guys, it's the last day of January and the actual temperature is not too bad outside, but it is raining. Here we go. Wasting away again in Margaritaville. I want a margarita. I think I might have pre-mix over her.

01:08:29 - 01:08:30 | Speaker 4:

Hell yeah, baby.

01:08:32 - 01:08:33 | Speaker 3:

Otherwise, we'll door dash it.

01:08:34 - 01:08:40 | Speaker 4:

Some people claim that there's a one-one to blame.

01:08:41 - 01:08:55 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no. I effing don't care. Guys, we got a good, exciting story to bring up here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. It's going to make everybody happy. Crazy Shannon is back.

01:08:57 - 01:09:02 | Speaker 2:

Crazy Shannon is back. Did she ever really go away? No, no. She hides.

01:09:02 - 01:09:03 | Speaker 3:

She hides, yeah.

01:09:03 - 01:09:08 | Speaker 2:

She's like the Hulk. Guys, I have a temper. Dickhead. I have a temper that is unlike any other.

01:09:08 - 01:09:15 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. By the way, Shannon, when she gets angry, she doesn't turn green. She turns red.

01:09:16 - 01:09:18 | Speaker 4:

I will F you up, bitch.

01:09:18 - 01:09:35 | Speaker 3:

And she will. My favorite ever was, I'll never forget this, was years and years ago on this radio show, you were on the air and we found out that Crazy Shannon came back when she kicked in the dashboard of her ex's car. It was a glove compartment. The glove compartment, yes. It was a glove compartment. That's strange.

01:09:36 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 2:

I was like a little kid stomping my feet, but I stomped so hard it actually smashed the glove compartment because I do ride in the passenger seat with my feet up, which I know is very bad. But why do we take, why do I, I will, I will take full responsibility for this. Why do I take out my frustration on objects that can't feel that I'm frustrated? It makes no sense to me. Hulk smash. Yeah.

01:10:00 - 01:11:08 | Speaker 3:

basically. So we have one of those keypads to get into our garage. Do you know what I'm talking about where you can just punch in the code and the garage door opens? I swear the one that we have is from 1995. It is so old. And the past couple of weeks, it's been taking like four, five, six tries of punching in the code for it to actually work. And then it started taking even more than that. I mean, this thing was just like dying a very slow death. So the other day, it was like snowing and freaking freezing cold as it has been and i have just absolutely had it with this thing so after the 18th try of punching in the code i finally took off the boot that was on my foot and just started bashing the thing oh my god i smashed it to absolute pieces it was all over the driveway. All the little rubber buttons were everywhere. I was clearly in there. This thing needed to die. So I did it. No, it was no longer usable at all. But guess what? We

01:11:08 - 01:11:20 | Speaker 2:

got a brand new one and it's amazing. Isn't it wonderful? Isn't it wonderful? Like the first thing that you do to fix anything is reboot. The second thing that you do is pull

01:11:20 - 01:11:32 | Speaker 3:

your boot off and just start beating the thing up no I mean if I and Wes was like dang it I wish that I could go back and look at it on the camera that's right there you just lose your absolute

01:11:32 - 01:11:50 | Speaker 2:

spit on this thing it's great but okay you have to call us up and tell us of the time that you lost your spit and what you lost your spit on like something that wasn't working or broken or I mean because you get so angry sometimes I'm not saying you but everybody does I think everybody But you do. I do.

01:11:50 - 01:11:52 | Speaker 4:

I've never done this. Never.

01:11:53 - 01:11:59 | Speaker 2:

I think everybody's got a crazy side, but I think that Shannon's is a really crazy side. I think it gets...

01:11:59 - 01:12:01 | Speaker 3:

Girl, you're crazy.

01:12:01 - 01:12:02 | Speaker 2:

I think...

01:12:02 - 01:12:08 | Speaker 3:

Could you imagine if somebody happened to be walking their dog by my house and they see me just bashing the side of my garage with my boot?

01:12:08 - 01:12:10 | Speaker 2:

How about the sweet old couple that lives next door to you?

01:12:10 - 01:12:13 | Speaker 3:

This is the other side of the house, but I'm happy Jan and Keith didn't see this yet.

01:12:13 - 01:12:15 | Speaker 2:

Jan and Keith. I want to see Jan.

01:12:15 - 01:12:16 | Speaker 3:

They would think very differently of me.

01:12:16 - 01:12:18 | Speaker 2:

Keith, do you see what Shannon just did?

01:12:20 - 01:12:22 | Speaker 3:

Dan, I've always told you to be a little wary of her.

01:12:23 - 01:12:47 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I don't think there's a remote in my house that hasn't been thrown across the room. Oh, my God. Comcast needs to figure something out with those damn remotes. That damn remote thing, I have to sometimes, I have to reset my TV, too, and I can pull it up from my... One time, my remote got so bashed up, I had to use my phone as my remote.

01:12:48 - 01:12:50 | Speaker 3:

You can order extra remotes on Amazon.

01:12:50 - 01:12:51 | Speaker 1:

I had no idea.

01:12:51 - 01:12:51 | Speaker 3:

I know.

01:12:51 - 01:13:09 | Speaker 1:

Some of my favorite internet videos are people who rage quit. So if you're playing a game and maybe it's like a Call of Duty or a Madden and there's a big play or a big moment and you fail or you're in the short end of the six, so to speak, and people break TVs, throw controllers through TVs, that's some of my favorite content.

01:13:09 - 01:13:11 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Sarah? How you doing?

01:13:12 - 01:13:13 | Speaker 5:

Good. How are you?

01:13:13 - 01:13:16 | Speaker 2:

You went off on Alexa. Is that true? Oh, she can get it.

01:13:16 - 01:13:55 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so I was cleaning, and I was playing music, and my mom was calling me, so I was trying to tell Alexa to pause, and she stopped for a second and then just kept continuing the song. I'm not even exaggerating, like, ten times, so I was so frustrated. I went over there and ripped it out of the wall and smashed it on the ground. Why is it she never listens, but if you go, like, Alexa, you dumb bitch, they're like, I'm sorry. What can I do to help? That bitch was a hoe. If she has an alarm that goes off, I'll tell her to, like, I'm like, all right, Alexa, off. And then she'll tell me what time it is and the weather of the day. I'm like. I know. And why does it make us so mad? Did I ask?

01:13:56 - 01:14:05 | Speaker 2:

They need to have. I wonder if you yell and call her a bitch. Does she actually say to you, that's not nice or anything? Does that ever happen? Amber, what's going on? Hi. What did you go off on, Amber?

01:14:07 - 01:14:09 | Speaker 4:

I went. So I'm a postal worker.

01:14:09 - 01:14:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you went postal.

01:14:10 - 01:14:32 | Speaker 4:

And so I'm a postal worker, and our mail comes from the distribution center all put in order for our route. Now, they're in little plastic trays that we set next to us. Well, when I was loading my truck, the last tray that I needed to put in the truck fell all over the parking lot.

01:14:34 - 01:14:40 | Speaker 2:

So, of course, you did what every smart person does. You then just start kicking it around the parking lot, don't you?

01:14:40 - 01:14:45 | Speaker 4:

I texted a picture to my supervisor and I said, I'm about to lose it.

01:14:46 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

I love that when that happens. I love when you drop something and then you just go, damn it, I can't do Starbucks. Let's come up with better little trays. Those trays, they're not. They're flimsy.

01:15:00 - 01:15:15 | Speaker 1:

can't hold the cold drinks in those trays without dropping them. I think that they're convinced that they'll drop enough trays on you that you'll have to keep on going back and buying more. Initial N wants to be voices, guys. It must be really good. What's up, N? Show you're crazy.

01:15:15 - 01:15:28 | Speaker 2:

Be proud. Yeah, I don't think everybody... First of all, first time, long time. Second of all, I don't think everybody loses a clue like that. I think it's something specific to people that are a little crazy.

01:15:29 - 01:15:37 | Speaker 1:

Oh, really? Oh, this is why he's doing it. He's making this comment because he's talking about Shannon. Okay. Are you passing judgment?

01:15:37 - 01:15:39 | Speaker 2:

I have been listening to you for a long time from New York.

01:15:40 - 01:15:43 | Speaker 1:

Okay. And Shannon's always shown her crazy. It's just there, right?

01:15:45 - 01:15:48 | Speaker 2:

Yep. Dude, you're from New York. You are crazy.

01:15:50 - 01:15:51 | Speaker 1:

I like it.

01:15:51 - 01:15:54 | Speaker 2:

Where did Kevin get all his energy for the first time in a long time?

01:15:54 - 01:16:08 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah, Kevin's got, well, Kevin, I've never seen Kevin lose it all. Kevin gets quiet angry. That's a fact. He doesn't say much, but I want to see Kevin one time just kick in that window right here on the controller. What's up, Lindsay? How you doing?

01:16:09 - 01:16:10 | Speaker 4:

Hi, I'm good this morning. How are you?

01:16:11 - 01:16:14 | Speaker 1:

Fantastic. And by the way, for anybody that doesn't remember Old Mojo.

01:16:15 - 01:16:16 | Speaker 5:

Oh my God, I miss Old Mojo.

01:16:17 - 01:16:19 | Speaker 1:

I threw staplers. We had more dents in that old building.

01:16:20 - 01:16:21 | Speaker 5:

You threw a laptop one time.

01:16:21 - 01:16:23 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I threw a laptop literally across the room.

01:16:24 - 01:16:25 | Speaker 5:

I want to see it.

01:16:25 - 01:16:26 | Speaker 4:

It was my favorite.

01:16:26 - 01:16:29 | Speaker 1:

Shannon had to duck. What's going on, Lindsay?

01:16:30 - 01:17:04 | Speaker 4:

I remember, it wasn't with me, but I remember as a kid waking up one morning to a bunch of noise downstairs in the kitchen and coming downstairs and watching my dad chucking all of the pans down the hallway out the door to the driveway because he was so angry that the food kept on sticking to the bottom of the nonstick pan. And they just all went out the driveway. So it's still a running joke in the family for that to happen. It's hilarious. That's awesome. I have my daughter here with me right now. We're actually running late to school because she wanted me to call in. So, Emily Lynn is sitting here next to me. Oh, good morning. Hi, honey.

01:17:04 - 01:17:06 | Speaker 1:

How are you? Have a great day at school.

01:17:06 - 01:17:07 | Unknown:

Hello.

01:17:07 - 01:17:17 | Speaker 1:

We love you. Take care. Give mom a hug for us, okay? What's up, Chelsea? Hi. Hi, Chelsea. Chelsea!

01:17:17 - 01:17:18 | Speaker 5:

Hello?

01:17:18 - 01:17:20 | Speaker 1:

Sorry, I'm sorry. What's going on, Chelsea?

01:17:21 - 01:18:00 | Speaker 5:

Hi, sorry. So when I first started dating my husband, it had been like a month in, and he was refinishing his basement. And he just got new carpet put in. And we were carrying stuff down the stairs, and he was doing touch-ups with paint. And as we were carrying stuff down the stairs, he turned and he kicked a gallon of paint over on the brand-new carpet. And he turned beet red. It got very quiet. And he just goes, I'll be right back. And I stood there, and I kept thinking, like, it's okay. we're gonna fix it the inner teacher in me is like i have a plan we're gonna get the shop back and i couldn't find him and i went outside and he was beating the tree outside

01:18:00 - 01:18:14 | Speaker 1:

oh my god i'd do the same too stephanie what's up hey so i'm a catholic school teacher and i had

01:18:14 - 01:18:38 | Speaker 3:

this kid in my class who would not stop talking and one day i was doing a lesson and he's talking and I had a stapler in my hand and I just went off on the desk in front, his desk, because he's sitting in the front of the class and I just completely demolished the stapler. It was, explains actually ended up in some other kid's hair. Oh my God.

01:18:39 - 01:18:51 | Speaker 1:

By the way, she did that and the cross was right over her shoulder at that particular moment. I wonder how many times teachers have wanted to like throw things in class because kids are such a pain in the ass.

01:18:51 - 01:19:32 | Speaker 6:

nick what's up hi how's it going mojo how are you doing good man we're talking about shannon losing it and she went crazy again yep yep yeah so i uh first time long time so i uh have an ex-girlfriend and we're from toledo ohio we were driving on the anthony wayne trail and i have this thing about people touching my radio while i'm driving And my ex-girlfriend thought it was funny. She kept changing the radio station on me. And so I told her, I said, we'll solve this issue. And I ripped the radio out of the door. Oh, my God. You went out the window.

01:19:33 - 01:19:35 | Speaker 5:

Your own radio. Not the craziest thing you'll find on the trail.

01:19:35 - 01:19:39 | Speaker 6:

Your own radio. Yep, my own radio.

01:19:39 - 01:19:43 | Speaker 1:

Tell me, did that end that relationship right there? Did she move on?

01:19:44 - 01:19:50 | Speaker 6:

No, no, she didn't. It was a little bit after that that she moved on. But, yeah, that was one of the finest rocks.

01:19:51 - 01:19:51 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

01:19:51 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 1:

After you do that and you don't have the radio, now you're like, crap, now we got to talk. Oh, my gosh. It's Mojo in the morning.

01:20:00 - 01:21:29 | Speaker 3:

let me tell you guys that the War of the Roses from yesterday morning has just surpassed any of the other War of the Roses from the entire month on podcast listens. Yeah, if you haven't heard it yet, I suggest you go check it out. War of the Roses yesterday morning on our show had a guy that got busted because his wife got his Uber receipts and he obviously wasn't where he was supposed to be uh and you can hear that war of the roses plus all of our podcasts from the week you can download them and have them auto download just by favoring the mojo in the morning show on the iheart radio app put us in your presets too if you haven't already done this we got it i was on the phone yesterday so i i i get to talk and work with some other morning shows and stuff in the company it's kind of a cool thing i get to do like do a coach mentoring thing and uh i was talking with uh tommy chuck the program director who was telling me that their radio station is like the top radio station on the presets and i was like your radio station isn't as good as our radio stations tommy chuck so i want us to be number one on the presets i want mojo in the morning channel 955 104.5 snx and 92.5 kiss fm i know we spread the wealth amongst all those stations but definitely put mojo in the morning podcast as your number one on your preset I added it yesterday, actually. It took you this long to add it. It did. I'm sorry. I'm being honest. Have you even added any to the presets?

01:21:29 - 01:21:32 | Speaker 1:

I sure did. And you can also add podcasts, by the way.

01:21:32 - 01:21:33 | Speaker 3:

Good.

01:21:33 - 01:21:37 | Speaker 1:

So I have our podcast, The More Mojo Podcast, and Dateline on there.

01:21:37 - 01:21:40 | Speaker 3:

Do you have any presets on there, Megan?

01:21:41 - 01:21:41 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:21:42 - 01:21:46 | Speaker 3:

You? No, of course I do. I'm busting everybody.

01:21:46 - 01:21:49 | Speaker 4:

But can I be honest, though? You want to see mine? I put Slightly Messy Show for a while.

01:21:49 - 01:21:56 | Speaker 3:

Okay. That's all right. Hey, as long as we're all, and we should, by the way, slightly messy, more Mojo podcast, Mojo in the Morning.

01:21:57 - 01:21:58 | Speaker 4:

I'd really put more Mojo first.

01:21:58 - 01:22:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. The We Don't's also on there too. But all the stations, make sure you show love to our stations on the presets. Because honestly, I know this sounds crazy to say this, but it's like extra credit grades for us. Like our bosses look at that and they go, oh, people like them.

01:22:11 - 01:22:19 | Speaker 4:

And can I just say real quick if we're talking about this? A lot of people have been messaging Mike and I asking where it went. It's on the more, if you search more Mojo, it pops up there.

01:22:19 - 01:22:21 | Speaker 3:

How would they not know that though? It's always been.

01:22:21 - 01:22:25 | Speaker 4:

Because it used to be on the Slightly Messy show page, and we moved it to the More Mojo podcast.

01:22:25 - 01:22:27 | Speaker 3:

Oh. Why did you guys switch that?

01:22:27 - 01:22:29 | Speaker 4:

I thought it was always on behind-the-scenes stuff.

01:22:29 - 01:22:30 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:22:30 - 01:22:31 | Speaker 4:

All right. Nerd talk.

01:22:31 - 01:23:05 | Speaker 3:

Well, let me just tell you this. If you do this for us, we will do for you, including right now, give you some tickets to go see Justin Timberlake. Yeah! I just love pettiness I'm going to encourage more pettiness in the world That's what I'm here to do You guys are here to spread joy and good news and I'm here to spread the petty

01:23:15 - 01:23:23 | Speaker 3:

Let's do some Petty Spreading next. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, what do you got in this hour's dirty, Shannon?

01:23:23 - 01:24:07 | Speaker 1:

So we're going to start with an update on the American Airlines flight crash. Confirmed last night, everybody on board that jet and also the Black Hawk military helicopter that collided near Reagan National Airport Wednesday night has died. Both aircrafts ended up in the Potomac River after that mid-air collision. I think they are very confident that they are going to recover all of the bodies, but just still such a sad situation. Yesterday, crews recovered not only the flight data recorder, but also the cockpit voice recorder from American Airlines flight 5342. President Trump yesterday speaking specifically about that helicopter being where it should not have been.

01:24:07 - 01:24:11 | Speaker 2:

The helicopter obviously was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

01:24:11 - 01:24:19 | Speaker 1:

He also suggested that DEI hiring practices, so diversity, equity, and inclusion, may have contributed to that crash.

01:24:20 - 01:24:31 | Speaker 2:

Because I have common sense, okay? And unfortunately, a lot of people don't. We want brilliant people doing this. This is a major chess game at the highest level.

01:24:32 - 01:24:39 | Speaker 1:

What is he basing that comment on? Somebody, well, a reporter specifically asked him about that, and that was his response.

01:24:39 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 3:

He said that the DEI hiring of the air traffic controllers that they were, and this has been longer than just the last four years because he was blaming Biden for this. For the last decade, they've allowed the ability to hire people that worked air traffic control that had maybe disabilities.

01:25:00 - 01:25:17 | Speaker 2:

and um i don't know necessarily if they're the ones guiding planes in or whatever but but he that's what he was saying on it but i will say this to you there is definitely a shortage of these people there and a lot of people are saying that that d the dei hiring caused for a shortage

01:25:17 - 01:25:20 | Speaker 1:

which we learned and we've talked about all morning of there there was one person doing

01:25:20 - 01:26:06 | Speaker 4:

the job of two people but i don't think that's due to dei hiring is that due to the federal funding freezes and all of that because the DEI hiring when it comes to this air traffic controllers one of the hardest jobs you can get you have to pass physical exams and then you have to get a degree and then you have to pass a training session at a specific airport in the country and then they assign you like it's a very difficult process you have to be under 31 I thought when they were talking about the DEI hiring it was for so it's not just air traffic controllers in this department, right? So they have like housekeeping and stuff like that. So the DEI aspects of inclusion of people who may have paralysis or disabilities or whatever could be in other jobs within the department, but it's not air traffic controllers themselves.

01:26:06 - 01:26:22 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if that's, I don't know any of the specifics on what you just said, but I do know this. The idea that they had an undermanned air traffic control tower and that they allowed one guy to leave early from work is the reason why this incident took place.

01:26:22 - 01:26:24 | Speaker 4:

Now, I agree with you on that.

01:26:24 - 01:26:30 | Speaker 2:

And they need to start getting their crap together and hire people that are qualified to work in these jobs and hire abundance of these people. And we need to pay for that.

01:26:30 - 01:26:32 | Speaker 4:

I don't understand the DEI connection.

01:26:32 - 01:26:39 | Speaker 3:

That's what I'm saying. I feel like if you come out and you make a statement like that, you need to have a little bit more explanation and not just end a sentence saying it was DEI.

01:26:40 - 01:26:47 | Speaker 2:

I don't think there's a taxpayer that wouldn't say that they would want their taxes to go towards the safety of planes not falling out of the air.

01:26:47 - 01:26:49 | Speaker 3:

I mean, we can all agree there.

01:26:49 - 01:27:18 | Speaker 2:

And I feel bad if I was a family member or one of those people that was on that plane and found out that that guy or woman or whoever it was that was inside that tower left work early and they let them go home. I mean, that's craziness. We get upset when we go to Meijer and they close down lanes and don't have enough people working checkout. That's not your safety in your life there. We're talking the safety of these people and these people died because of that. Somebody needs to pay for that.

01:27:18 - 01:27:22 | Speaker 4:

I just want to, I agree with you. I just wish we were addressing those issues.

01:27:23 - 01:27:36 | Speaker 2:

That better be the issue that's addressed on this. And we need to, if those people get paid as high as, you know, brain surgeons, pay them. Because they're guiding planes and helicopters all day.

01:27:36 - 01:27:43 | Speaker 3:

Thousands and thousands of lives in their hands. Maybe Elon, who's running the Doge program, you know, government efficiency, will look into it.

01:27:43 - 01:27:48 | Speaker 2:

Well, you know what's going to happen next? They're going to have AI do it. And guess what? I don't trust AI.

01:27:48 - 01:27:51 | Speaker 1:

We laugh, but that's coming.

01:27:51 - 01:28:01 | Speaker 2:

Here's the problem. Air traffic controllers make a mistake, people die. It's like people that are operating on you in an operating room. It's not like you or I making a mistake and we have dead air.

01:28:02 - 01:28:14 | Speaker 1:

Right. Heard something about our very own Jared Goff this week. I actually heard this from two different people, and I wanted to pass it along because it makes everything make sense to me. Did he play last night in that NFC?

01:28:14 - 01:28:17 | Speaker 3:

The Pro Bowl game? Yes. He actually helped him win.

01:28:17 - 01:28:18 | Speaker 1:

His team won, right?

01:28:18 - 01:28:19 | Speaker 3:

I don't watch that stuff. It's stupid to me.

01:28:20 - 01:28:51 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Well, anyway. I'm sorry. His name was out there, and I was like, oh, I hear this. Okay. So the night before the Lions took on the Commanders, he got freaking food poisoning and was up all night barfing his guts out. Mmm. Makes sense. Why did they not talk about this? That he didn't play as phenomenally as he normally does. Where did he eat? That night. I don't. That was a home game. I don't know that. But two different people told me he was ill all night and still managed to get out on the field. and play, I mean, that would be rough, right?

01:28:52 - 01:29:01 | Speaker 2:

I mean, that was the worst game he had all year by far. But can you imagine having to play? Yeah, that was a bad game too. Although, thank God we won that game.

01:29:02 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 1:

In other NFL dirty today, Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker being accused by six different massage therapists of inappropriate sexual behavior at four different spas located in the Baltimore area. Allegedly, and I can't really read through all of these allegations because some of them are not appropriate for the air, but he exposed his genitals, touched two women with his genitals, did some other stuff on the massage table following treatments that I'm not going to get specific about, but multiple therapists allege that his behavior was so bad that they would see his name on the schedule and cancel him before he could come in, or they just banned him altogether. I know two spas specifically banned him from coming back. The Baltimore Banner did an investigation into this and they launched their investigation after receiving a tip at the beginning of the month. They spoke to six massage therapists who all brought up allegations against Tucker.

01:30:00 - 01:31:22 | Speaker 2:

It happened a few years ago, 2012 through 2016, but these women said they've been waiting a long time to share their story. The Ravens, aware of the allegations, they say they are monitoring the situation. Justin Tucker came right out and called all of the allegations unequivocally false. Zayn Malik's former One Direction bandmate, Louie Tomlinson, was hanging out at Zayn's show this week in L.A. So it was Wednesday night, I believe. And Zayn confirmed Louie's presence at the show. This was at Shrine, the Shrine Expo Hall in L.A. He actually announced to the crowd, an old friend of mine is here supporting me tonight. I don't want to give his location away, but Louie is here tonight and obviously got a very warm reception from all of the fans. And just a heads up on something happening today and today only. It might not be July, but I just saw that 7-Eleven is gifting customers a free small Slurpee of your choice today. Normally they do this on July 11th, like hence 7-11, but they're doing it today to celebrate the end of January because they say so many Americans experience a mood decline in the cooler months. So they're offering free Slurpees today to help beat the winter gloom and to be happy. A little dose of joy if you want to go get your free small Slurpee at 7-11 today.

01:31:22 - 01:31:25 | Speaker 5:

We need some business in January. Let's do it.

01:31:25 - 01:31:30 | Speaker 2:

01:31:41 - 01:31:42 | Speaker 3:

01:31:42 - 01:31:44 | Speaker 5:

Hey, hi. You want to go see Justin Timberlake?

01:31:51 - 01:31:52 | Speaker 3:

Thank you so much.

01:31:52 - 01:31:54 | Speaker 5:

Have the best time.

01:31:54 - 01:31:56 | Speaker 3:

Good for footballing. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, Sean is on the phone.

01:31:57 - 01:32:01 | Speaker 5:

Talk about lucky there. Your first time, and you end up getting through and winning a prize.

01:32:03 - 01:32:04 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I've been calling all week.

01:32:04 - 01:32:11 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. We love it. Thank you. We got good prizes next week. Lydia, what are the prizes for next week? What are we doing concert-wise?

01:32:12 - 01:32:23 | Speaker 1:

Crystal said we were going to still be doing a trip to Florida at 730, but 830, we're going to be giving away Katy Perry tickets. 630, we're going to be giving away Tame McRae. Sorry, that was out of order. And 930, more Kendrick Lamar tickets.

01:32:23 - 01:32:26 | Speaker 5:

I love it. And what about the trip? Are we going to a new destination next week?

01:32:26 - 01:32:28 | Speaker 1:

We are. I just don't know where yet.

01:32:28 - 01:32:52 | Speaker 5:

Oh, somewhere in Florida. I hope it's nice. Let's hope. I'm praying for the keys. I don't know why. It's the furthest place down. Let's get it. Go celebrity dirt. Directly from the source. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Mojo in the Morning. We love petty. Let's all be petty. We're going to take 10 minutes to be petty here right now. What's going on?

01:32:52 - 01:34:01 | Speaker 4:

So I went out to dinner last night with some friends. I got to catch up. And one of my friends, he ended his relationship earlier last year, middle of last year. It doesn't matter. Anyways, I feel bad because I kind of like his ex-girlfriend. Don't you hate when you kind of become friends with somebody you've been watching? Yeah. And you're like, OK, so because we're Facebook friends, like she's got a new boyfriend. And it got brought up into the conversation of like, oh, did you see so-and-so is dating somebody new? and I love this response because it made me chuckle because I realized every single person has this response as soon as this new guy was brought up he immediately goes on a rant yeah I'm much hotter than him and did you see what he does for a living I got a better job than him and just going through a list of all of the reasons why he is a better man than the new boyfriends and I don't think I know a single person that when you ask about an ex moving on doesn't justify why they're better in the first place and i love this man with all of my heart okay he is my friend bro you got problems in relationships you can say that i failed at something you're not perfect but why do we always get so petty when somebody moves on don't you want to like get that person

01:34:01 - 01:34:04 | Speaker 5:

right in front of you at that moment and then you make the decision on who's better

01:34:04 - 01:34:13 | Speaker 4:

no but somebody did bring up well the guy's kind of hot and he got so mad the guy got so bad he was He's like, I'm so good. I'll go to the gym more. I was like, okay.

01:34:14 - 01:34:28 | Speaker 5:

Do you guys ever, if you're in a relationship, do you ever, when you break up and all the rest of the stuff or divorce, whatever, do you ever go and look and go, God, they're now with ugly? Or are you ever, you know what I mean? Like you're happy that they're-

01:34:28 - 01:34:30 | Speaker 2:

I think it's natural to just to compare.

01:34:30 - 01:34:30 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:34:31 - 01:34:35 | Speaker 2:

Unfortunately, because it does no good, but it is human nature. That's what I mean.

01:34:35 - 01:34:43 | Speaker 3:

I try not to. I would like to think I'm the best version of myself at all times, but that human element does creep in.

01:34:43 - 01:34:56 | Speaker 5:

If they end up with something better, like in this case, where this guy, you know, Megan's friend, you know, she's on with somebody else, if they're like all of a sudden start dating the best guy ever, oh, so depressing.

01:34:57 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 3:

I'm not going to say I got an ego.

01:35:00 - 01:35:16 | Speaker 4:

And I feel like we all should think about ourselves in this way. I don't think there's anybody better than me or has that that Kevin factor. Yeah. But I feel like everybody should have that that thought about themselves. There's something unique that you bring to the table that no matter what that other person looks like or what they can do, they're not you.

01:35:16 - 01:35:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I wish more people had the opposite opinion would start working on themselves.

01:35:19 - 01:35:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Maybe that's why I got here.

01:35:22 - 01:35:34 | Speaker 6:

Has it ever happened to any of you? Because I've had this happen to me where the person that you were dating moves on to someone who looks just like you. They want your clone. That's worse. Just like you.

01:35:34 - 01:35:41 | Speaker 5:

Is that worse? Or is it worse than if they move on to somebody completely opposite looking of you in your life?

01:35:41 - 01:35:50 | Speaker 4:

That's because they want you. I had a girl go gay after me. Well, really? Yeah, she told me. She's like, I don't want to be with any other man. I can't see myself with another man. She was letting you down nicely. Wait a second.

01:35:50 - 01:35:59 | Speaker 5:

No, she wasn't. She did not say that. you she said she said to you stop for one second she said to you i don't want any other manner for

01:35:59 - 01:36:05 | Speaker 4:

you so i'm gonna go with women she was gay all along eventually she got eventually she got back

01:36:05 - 01:36:19 | Speaker 5:

with another man and you know they got there is no by the way you try to make yourself look so much better there is no guy i can ever be with so i'm gonna go gay and then got with a guy so you

01:36:19 - 01:36:24 | Speaker 4:

think i've been waiting for megan to bring up this topic and for us to have this for me to just make

01:36:24 - 01:36:37 | Speaker 6:

up a story off the top of my head okay when you when you heard that she got back with or got together with another guy and got married and stuff how fast did you go to instagram i was i was off her but after she told you that you were the best of the best of the best so we used to

01:36:37 - 01:37:09 | Speaker 4:

work i'd be so curious to work with each other in like 2018 no it was before like 2014 or 15 and i went through her phone saw she was dealing with somebody else now mind you i was dealing with somebody else too, but I got super mad about that and said, I'm done with you and was done with her for a while. We smashed a couple of times after that, but like she had literally went gay and literally told me like, I just can't see my, maybe I'm saying the wrong thing. She started to date a woman. There you go. She started to date a woman and said, I don't want to be with any other man. I can't see myself. This is just what happened, y'all.

01:37:09 - 01:37:15 | Speaker 3:

This is my life. I'm not lying. Nobody's saying you're lying. We just said you have to make yourself live on it.

01:37:16 - 01:37:24 | Speaker 5:

Because that's like bravado there. That's like, yeah. She said that if I can't have your D, I don't want any. I'm going for the V.

01:37:25 - 01:37:26 | Speaker 4:

And then I went back to the D.

01:37:26 - 01:37:28 | Speaker 5:

And then I went back to the D because I didn't like the V.

01:37:28 - 01:37:29 | Speaker 4:

That's how it happened.

01:37:30 - 01:37:33 | Speaker 5:

Amy, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. How are you?

01:37:34 - 01:37:59 | Speaker 2:

Good. Happy Friday. Yay. So I was dating a guy, and we lived at the same area. We went to this restaurant, you know, either to eat or to hang out, have drinks. and often and we got to know the bartender and i broke up with this guy and he started dating somebody else and this bartender was like oh you know so-and-so has a new girlfriend i'm like yeah

01:37:59 - 01:38:20 | Speaker 5:

i heard she goes she looks just like you oh my god oh man how'd that make you feel um well i guess he's got a type right well that's true but what if you look at them and you see that They are so much better looking than you. They're the better looking version of you.

01:38:21 - 01:38:24 | Speaker 2:

Well, it just depends how you feel about yourself, right?

01:38:24 - 01:38:27 | Speaker 5:

Well, you're right. No, I know. But I'm just, you're always going to compare, though.

01:38:27 - 01:38:33 | Speaker 2:

It's hard. It's hard no matter who moves on, good, bad. Yep. Yeah. It's tough.

01:38:33 - 01:38:43 | Speaker 3:

If you're dating somebody that looks just like your ex and you're going to all of your favorite dating spots, how many times is a server coming over and being like, hey, Jennifer, hi, you're somebody new.

01:38:44 - 01:38:49 | Speaker 5:

I never thought about that. What's going on, Craig? Hi, it's Mojo in the morning. How are you?

01:38:50 - 01:38:51 | Speaker 1:

Hey, how's it going?

01:38:52 - 01:38:55 | Speaker 5:

Hi. You had a similar situation, huh? You broke up, and what did your ex do?

01:38:56 - 01:39:09 | Speaker 1:

Well, it was my wife. We divorced, and we were separated for years, but she ended up dating a guy that looked identical to me, apparently. Wow. Because they would go out to public places, and they actually called him my name.

01:39:10 - 01:39:16 | Speaker 5:

Just like what Megan was saying. And how did that make you feel that she stayed with her type, so to speak?

01:39:16 - 01:39:28 | Speaker 1:

I'm fine with it. I mean, you know, we divorced on good terms. And I actually like the guy. He's a good guy. Here's something for you. I don't have a problem with it. I just think it's funny that, you know, people actually called him my name.

01:39:28 - 01:39:49 | Speaker 5:

What if they, this looks are not anything to do with this. What if they, you in a guy situation here, you divorce your wife. she ends up finding a guy and the guy is wealthy and he's successful and he's like puts her in a position where you could have never put her in financially would that bother you more than the

01:39:49 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 1:

looks no not really i mean i i to be honest i put her in a position where she had the money but so it doesn't Oh that's

01:40:00 - 01:40:10 | Speaker 3:

It didn't really bother me too much. That's interesting. How would you feel the opposite? And then she's happier with this other person because he's making her happier than you were, even with the money.

01:40:11 - 01:40:16 | Speaker 1:

To be honest, the way it ended, it didn't bother me at all.

01:40:16 - 01:40:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You're a pretty solid guy until you hang up the phone and you start going, hold on, let me think of those questions. You call us back in a few minutes, okay? Because honestly, I will say this to you. My hope and dream is if, God forbid, Chelsea and I ever get divorced, she becomes an old maid or marries the fattest guy. Well, I already am the fattest. She marries, how about this? She marries a guy who's incredibly skinny but looks like he's, like, you know, got bad breath, bald. Like, I'm trying to think of the others.

01:40:47 - 01:40:49 | Speaker 1:

You want to be superior. You want to be the best.

01:40:49 - 01:41:26 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, this guy that we know named John. But, like, it would bother me. Although, I think I could see Chelsea, like, if we got divorced, never marrying ever again and just being with her girlfriends. She said she wouldn't. Yeah, to me, that would be the case. I also could see her leaving me for another woman because my D is not as good as Kevin's. What? Rambo. Kevin's got the most amazing. No, listen. He's got the most amazing wiener ever that a girl chose to be with girls because of this. What do you think about that?

01:41:27 - 01:41:31 | Speaker 5:

What type of conversation y'all be having around closed doors on the radio? No, man.

01:41:32 - 01:41:39 | Speaker 3:

Why not listening to the radio? I didn't say anything about sex. You brought that up. You said that she couldn't be with anybody else.

01:41:40 - 01:41:53 | Speaker 4:

Did I say it has anything to do with sex? Oh, then what did it have to do with? That's the thing I said at the beginning of the conversation. Sometimes your it factor doesn't matter when it comes to somebody else Because you're you You brought up sex I ain't say nothing about that You got dick on the brain, not me

01:41:53 - 01:41:58 | Speaker 3:

I do, and it's your dick I have on my brain

01:41:58 - 01:42:01 | Speaker 4:

Kaleem, make it stop

01:42:01 - 01:42:04 | Speaker 5:

I'm glad my kids in school right now

01:42:04 - 01:42:06 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Rambo?

01:42:07 - 01:42:20 | Speaker 5:

What's up? I just wanted to comment at AKL, though, man The way you're talking about these females You're so comfortable, you know to talk about who you would smash, who you want to smash, who you should have smashed. I guess being away from Sherelle is a big head-pleaser, huh?

01:42:21 - 01:42:22 | Speaker 4:

Wait, what did you say? Wait, what?

01:42:22 - 01:42:27 | Speaker 5:

Being a what? Being away from Sherelle is a big head-pleaser, huh?

01:42:27 - 01:42:34 | Speaker 4:

I don't get what you're saying. I think he's saying, are you saying it? I think he's trying to be funny, but it ain't coming out wrong.

01:42:34 - 01:42:47 | Speaker 5:

Like a player, man. No, I ain't trying to be funny. I'm just saying, I'm commenting on what was going on. You just, you're way more comfortable now since you've been out of a relationship, you know what I mean? Well, I mean, you're very wild these days on the radio.

01:42:47 - 01:42:52 | Speaker 3:

We talked about that. Listen to the podcast. Cab has changed. You can go back and listen to it.

01:42:52 - 01:42:57 | Speaker 5:

I swear you were so careful with everything you were saying. Exactly. I was in a relationship with Shereo. Exactly. Now, it's just balls of all.

01:42:57 - 01:43:04 | Speaker 4:

See, when you're in a relationship, you should be the person that's in a relationship. You should be respectful to your partner.

01:43:04 - 01:43:10 | Speaker 5:

You should listen to the radio so you can tell the story about the conversation. And I'm not in a relationship. So now you're not in a relationship. You ain't got to tense up. Pretty good. Pretty good.

01:43:11 - 01:43:29 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, can I say something, though? i think if you listen to back to that podcast you'll understand kevin's point where he's at right now he's had to kind of hold back a little bit not because of his relationship with cherelle but because of his breakup from cherelle and he held back for a few months there on the air and i think that was because he was dealing with the pain of losing this this relationship but this

01:43:29 - 01:43:36 | Speaker 6:

situation about this girl this is before this is way before this is bs remember rambo yes bs before

01:43:36 - 01:43:42 | Speaker 3:

cherelle rambo rambo uh what's up devin hi what if it's the opposite way for kevin nobody

01:43:42 - 01:43:47 | Speaker 2:

no guy could get her there so she had to go to a girl oh that's you know what that would be

01:43:47 - 01:43:56 | Speaker 3:

wouldn't that make you feel more confident in yourself huh like like there you go but kev says it's not about sex though it was not about sex at all for him i don't believe it was it was for him

01:43:56 - 01:44:02 | Speaker 2:

for him but for her point for him yeah exactly i would like to think that would be the case with

01:44:02 - 01:44:22 | Speaker 3:

me but i know i'd be the worst ever like i seriously i could picture any girl that is with me going oh poor chelsea what's going on karen how you doing i'm good how are you i'm fantastic uh karen we're having just some fun on the radio we're being petty the petty the petty times

01:44:22 - 01:44:54 | Speaker 6:

ending in 30 seconds go ahead give me your comment so my ex-husband married his ex-wife from before me um wow so he went back yeah how did that make you feel well kind of at first i didn't care but then i was like well maybe we are a type maybe it kind of made me feel crappy oh that would be i would i would be so in my head about that that would be brutal yeah but you know what though i i maybe

01:44:54 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 3:

that was maybe he truly was in love with her and had nothing to do with you and he realized what you missed.

01:44:59 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:45:00 - 01:45:11 | Speaker 1:

And maybe he was able to work it out. Like, that's what I would hope. I would hope in that case, and you honestly were, you know, an innocent bystander in the whole situation. But you got to almost, did they have kids together?

01:45:12 - 01:45:15 | Speaker 2:

They do. And then I have a child with him as well.

01:45:16 - 01:45:17 | Speaker 1:

Are you guys close?

01:45:17 - 01:45:18 | Speaker 2:

But it worked out.

01:45:18 - 01:45:19 | Speaker 1:

Is everything okay? Like, you like this woman?

01:45:21 - 01:45:22 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. No, I like her better than him.

01:45:24 - 01:45:33 | Speaker 1:

Now, you know what would be the capper of this whole one? And this is the end of pettiness because I said it's ending. The capper would be, she leaves him for you.

01:45:34 - 01:45:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, dang.

01:45:36 - 01:45:48 | Speaker 1:

My two moms. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

And of course, on the iHeartRadio app, you can listen to us, including our podcast. So I had kind of a surprise happen to me. our washer was not working and so I had to get somebody to come out and fix our washer so and I never know like who to call so I called the place that we ended up buying it from the appliance place that we went to it to get it from and they recommended this company to come out to my house I called up there they scheduled an appointment it was yesterday to my surprise when the person came to fix my washer a woman was at my door oh really it's a repair woman do you call him repair woman or repair man what would it be person i've always i've always just said repair man because it's always been a dude and i guess it's a woman i don't know but but okay so so she's staying in there and uh and this is interesting because whenever things get you know broken in our house and a person comes to fix it it's typically a guy that comes and fixes it yeah and it's usually chelsea that's the one home so in this case it was me home chelsea wasn't and it's a woman and honestly i felt kind of weird having her come into my house and i felt like strange that a woman was you know coming into my house and my wife wasn't there at the time so i kind of felt a little bit like oh this is like i always feel no yeah this is how seriously this is how i always

01:47:46 - 01:47:52 | Speaker 2:

feel because it's usually just me and it's always a guy and then i get i'm like and i'm alone in my

01:47:52 - 01:49:23 | Speaker 1:

house with this right yep and it's in to me to me it was weird because um uh also it was weird because i always whenever somebody comes and fixes anything at my house or does any kind of service stuff at my house i always offer them food and drink like i don't know if you guys do this i offer water i offer usually usually i'll say hey is there anything i can get you to drink can i get you a bottle of water can i get you something to eat whatever it is like i i want to make them home in my house you know because they're going to be fixing it i figure if i do that they're also going to do a better job so i shouldn't be offering drugs but i do offer water so i'm so i'm there and and i also also i also also follow them into usually the area and i'll talk to them a little bit because I want to see what they're doing. I want to see what's going on. But when I followed her and showed her where the washers were in our washers and dryer room, I felt like I can't stand her because she's going to think I'm like, you know. A creep. Yeah. So I'm like, well, here we go. I have had it. It was great. And then I'm like, well, are you sure there's anything I can't get you? And then I started like my head started spinning and going. Normally, I'd give the guy a bottle of water and like a pack of Cheez-Its, but I felt like because this was a very nice looking woman that was there fixing it, I needed to open up a bottle of like Pinot Noir and get a charcuterie board going. You did not do that. Something like that. I don't know. I just felt like, no, I didn't do that, but I was thinking in my head.

01:49:23 - 01:49:45 | Speaker 2:

So, because that would be normal for me, like to show the guy, in every case, it's always been a guy like to show the guy okay like this is the you know furnace and i'll oh and then i always just leave like i'll say okay i'll be upstairs if you need anything just you know shout or come up you actually sit there while they're fixing whatever with them i i usually will sit there

01:49:45 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 1:

and watch them the whole time my my hot water heater um had a an issue it started leaking and i had to call uh chris my buddy to get me somebody to come out and to fix my hot water heater and

01:50:00 - 01:50:10 | Speaker 2:

This guy, Dave, the plumber came out. And when Dave, the plumber was there, I want to know what's going on. Like, I want to know why it's leaking. So I'm sitting here talking to Dave and I'm like a little kid. I'm handing him tools, you know.

01:50:11 - 01:50:25 | Speaker 3:

So am I, that makes me feel like I'm rude that I leave. No, I don't think you are. Because then when they're done, like I just had family heating, cooling, truly, and electrical. Like they get a ding because they are a client. But like I use them, obviously. And the guy.

01:50:25 - 01:50:28 | Speaker 2:

And they're a female owned too, right? That's a female owned. Shout out to Crystal.

01:50:28 - 01:50:42 | Speaker 3:

Yes. But it was a guy that came, and he came up afterwards and, like, gave me the lowdown on what was happening with the furnace. But I feel like it would be weird if I sat there while he was working. It's so creepy.

01:50:43 - 01:50:55 | Speaker 2:

I want to know, if you're a repair person, you've got to tell me what your thoughts are on this. Like, do you like them to sit there and talk to you? Because I just don't like leaving somebody in my house by themselves, too. But, Mark, what did you want to say? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

01:50:56 - 01:51:05 | Speaker 7:

Okay. Hi. How are you? I'm great. What's going on? So you mean to tell me that you are uncomfortable because another female's in the house when Chelsea's not there?

01:51:06 - 01:51:23 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Or was it because she's a repair clerk? No, I was uncomfortable because another female was in my house. Right. Like, to me, letting another woman in my house and my wife isn't home, to me, felt like a little weird. Like, I felt like I was cheating on Chelsea, so to speak.

01:51:24 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 7:

No, Chelsea probably loves it. um no you and uh shannon just gotta just take it easy chill out it's fine you're not doing anything wrong she's a repair clerk okay what about so you're good so women don't feel weird

01:51:41 - 01:51:47 | Speaker 2:

when a guy comes into their house to fix something you do yeah and i like nobody has ever been

01:51:47 - 01:51:58 | Speaker 3:

unprofessional correct true like in the in the history of me owning my own homes and having people come and repair i but just naturally i feel comfortable uncomfortable excuse me being

01:51:58 - 01:52:19 | Speaker 2:

alone in my house with a guy there um and it's funny because it made me think of chelsea thinking i should never have people come and fix stuff when she's there because although she is the man of the house to be honest but it does make me feel weird that i'm i'm leaving her there vulnerable like that what's up joe hi well hey mojo how are you good joe the repairman on with us what's going on

01:52:19 - 01:52:51 | Speaker 6:

Joe? Yeah, I work for a major company that we repair appliances, and it's really an interesting way of making a living. I don't think I could do anything else. Every stop is different. Every person is different. But generally, when I'm invited in somebody's house, they ask me to remove my shoes and go to the side doors and hop through hoops, and then they sit and stare at you. It's not necessarily the best thing. Oh, you don't like when they're staring at you, huh?

01:52:51 - 01:52:53 | Speaker 2:

You don't like that they're sitting there talking to you?

01:52:53 - 01:52:55 | Speaker 3:

Or interviewing you as Moto does to everybody.

01:52:55 - 01:53:08 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, they always want to grab a wet rag and, you know, polish something that you tore apart. And, you know, it's hard enough to watch the appliances, let alone watching the customers, because if they get hurt, you get hurt.

01:53:08 - 01:53:16 | Speaker 2:

That's actually truth, by the way. It is weird that we're standing there. We should be trusting that you guys know what you're doing and that you can get it done, but I just never know.

01:53:16 - 01:53:23 | Speaker 1:

Because you've got a stranger in your house. You're trying to just talk to them. I don't stay the whole time, but I'm staying for the first 10, 15 minutes. Just to see if they know what they're doing?

01:53:24 - 01:53:26 | Speaker 3:

Walk in, make yourself at home, bye.

01:53:26 - 01:53:27 | Speaker 2:

Really?

01:53:27 - 01:53:30 | Speaker 3:

I do not want to interact with you at all, not even a little bit.

01:53:30 - 01:53:32 | Speaker 2:

Thomas, you're a tech, right, Thomas?

01:53:34 - 01:54:00 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm a tech. So, yeah, I don't really like it when, like, the homeowners are there with me because I just feel like you guys are just, like you said, you're watching them working because you want to know what's going on. But, like, I feel like I'm getting rushed and you guys are making sure I'm doing my job correctly, which obviously, you guys, that's what you want. But, like, I don't know. I just feel like I'm getting pressured. Interesting.

01:54:01 - 01:54:19 | Speaker 2:

I never thought that, and I'm probably interrupting how you're doing the job and trying to fix everything by doing that. Andy. Andy. Hold on. Andy, are you there? Hold on. I'm picking the line. I just picked up the line, and you're, like, talking to somebody. What's going on? What do you want to say?

01:54:20 - 01:54:58 | Speaker 4:

Hey, first time, long time. Hey, so my wife was home doing her thing, and the repair guy came over to work on our shower and sink. And she was just doing her thing, and he's like, hey so he's man you're you're pretty you're pretty good looking and uh you know it's a nice house you married she goes yeah my husband he goes oh are you happily married and she's like uh yeah he goes oh well dang well if anything ever changes here's my business card oh my god

01:55:00 - 01:55:38 | Speaker 5:

still like like for 10 minutes was still and she's like i'm gonna go away well so the kicker she told me all this and so i called the company and was like uh hey you know steve was here he did some work could you have him come back and uh you know finish up some stuff so he came back when i was there so he walked in the door i'm like i'm like hey steve how's it going so i hear you had some comments about my wife and he's like whoa bro i didn't mean nothing by it i'm like you asked her if uh she was happily married uh to me that seems i'm like i was like dude you ought to be ashamed

01:55:38 - 01:55:55 | Speaker 6:

of yourself you're lucky you know what like oh my god like i i'm like that guy was sweating like maniac man yeah he was shaking but i'm like you need to walk away and uh this is gonna go on your

01:55:55 - 01:56:05 | Speaker 2:

record but yeah oh wow that's craziness man that's a guy right there that's confronting this is great nick builds decks for a living and what did one lady do nick

01:56:05 - 01:56:37 | Speaker 3:

uh well she so i used to build decks in college to pay for college and uh so i was you know 20 years old shirtless it was hot summer and this woman a single woman that i was building a deck for uh decided she was going to watch me all day sitting on the finished part sitting in a lawn chair drinking wine watching college kids build that it was like uh it was like a true uh stacy's

01:56:37 - 01:56:43 | Speaker 2:

mom that's amazing that's great so she did she ever offer you any of the wine

01:56:43 - 01:56:52 | Speaker 5:

I feel like something happened here And you're not giving us the full story

01:56:52 - 01:56:55 | Speaker 2:

Come on, this is like a porn I think I've seen this one before

01:56:55 - 01:57:04 | Speaker 3:

It probably would have been a good beginning To one of those But She was a little out of my age range

01:57:04 - 01:57:07 | Speaker 2:

Okay, alright, that's great That's awesome

01:57:07 - 01:57:12 | Speaker 4:

01:57:37 - 01:57:40 | Speaker 2:

Misfit Victor, what's going on, Victor? How are you? What up?

01:57:40 - 01:58:33 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how are you guys this morning? i'm good what's going on what are you calling for hey i had a guy that was uh coming out to fix a gfi plug or something like that in my kitchen and i i do the same thing hey you need anything you want a bottle of water you want this you want that and the guy's like do you have a screwdriver uh do you have this do you have that i said the hell what is going on here then he had to go get more tools at menards and he was there for an hour and a half to build me for the hour and a half to buy the plug wait so he came to fix it and didn't bring everything to fix it with that's wild yeah so then he puts in the plug and then when i turn on the light like the dining room light turns on and i turn off that light the bathroom light turns on it was completely so mojo the worst part about having that lady come in and fix your washers now you have to pay a guy to fix it right No, get off the phone.

01:58:33 - 01:58:53 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I'm waiting for him. Hang up the phone, mother... Oh, my God. Victor's about to get smacked by Shannon, and I'm happy about that. We should have a device through the phone whenever... Especially him.

01:58:53 - 01:58:55 | Speaker 3:

Just comes out of your radio and punches you in the face.

01:58:55 - 01:59:08 | Speaker 2:

Like, that would be, honestly, the greatest tool that iHeartRadio could come up with. All right, Mojo on the morning show. Kev, you cleaned out the old apartment, so no having that old apartment anymore. It's done.

01:59:08 - 01:59:15 | Speaker 1:

I mean, still, I got to go back today to vacuum, turn in the keys, but I need my deposit back, so that's why I'm doing all of this.

01:59:15 - 01:59:17 | Speaker 5:

Wait, what was left in there that you had to go back and get?

01:59:18 - 01:59:42 | Speaker 1:

All the non-essentials, just a bunch of BS crap, for real. And I donated a bunch of stuff to the Salvation Army last night, boxed it up and dropped it off, and just stuff like that. But as I'm packing up, I'm finding toys Josiah never played with before, stuff I done bought for Christmas that we never opened, just a bunch of stuff. And then I'll start going through drawers, and I'll find this sex book that my grandma had gave Sherelle. Nice.

01:59:43 - 01:59:43 | Speaker 5:

What?

01:59:44 - 01:59:47 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. And then I donate that to the Salvation Army, too. Wait a second.

01:59:47 - 01:59:49 | Speaker 5:

Like a Kama Sutra book?

01:59:49 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but it was like an old, old book. Like, you could tell it was white at a certain point in time, but now it's like yellow. It's all like that type of us Like it was grandma's

02:00:00 - 02:00:03 | Speaker 6:

and she passed it on to Sherelle. Yes, yes. Grandma Ma. Yes, yes.

02:00:03 - 02:00:12 | Speaker 3:

Your grandma gave your girlfriend books on how to be better with sex? How to please her grandson. Oh, my God.

02:00:12 - 02:00:13 | Speaker 7:

Oh, that is so weird.

02:00:13 - 02:00:15 | Speaker 3:

I mean, she wanted to make sure I was happy. Wait.

02:00:16 - 02:00:17 | Speaker 7:

That is so weird.

02:00:17 - 02:00:24 | Speaker 3:

Why would you donate those to the Salvation Army? Why wouldn't you keep them? That's the hand-me-downs. That's like things that you can have of grandmas.

02:00:24 - 02:00:30 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I would have donated, too. Really? I didn't think about it like that. Maybe I should have kept it, but I don't know. I was donating books anyway. I just threw that one on top.

02:00:30 - 02:00:38 | Speaker 3:

It wasn't meant for him. I know, but so give it back to grandma so she could give it to whoever's next. Nah. Well, maybe Delano.

02:00:38 - 02:00:41 | Speaker 7:

That's why you have your cousin. Or maybe we just don't give those books out to your grandson's girlfriends.

02:00:42 - 02:00:47 | Speaker 3:

Is it, is that weird? You think that that's weird that grandma wants to see her grandson be happy? Yes.

02:00:47 - 02:00:49 | Speaker 7:

The biggest red flag, it's not even funny. Really?

02:00:49 - 02:00:55 | Speaker 4:

So what if your fathers gave your boyfriends condoms? Would that be weird also? Yes. Really?

02:00:55 - 02:01:05 | Speaker 6:

not hesitation even when my dad will like make sexual jokes to wes in front of me i'm like

02:01:05 - 02:01:12 | Speaker 7:

please don't do that like no should not exist around family like i've never heard of it never

02:01:12 - 02:01:18 | Speaker 6:

done it don't know no in fact my dad just sent me like a condom joke this morning a text and i was

02:01:18 - 02:01:27 | Speaker 3:

like okay like where'd you find that but i but i do think it's it's different because kev's grandma is kind of funny and cute like it's cute like it'd be like Shani's granny remember Shani's granny

02:01:27 - 02:01:39 | Speaker 6:

Shani's granny didn't never mince her like she was very open about everything but I would feel weird if she gave a sexual position book to like my husband yeah yeah oh yeah

02:01:39 - 02:01:41 | Speaker 3:

it screams love to me

02:01:41 - 02:01:56 | Speaker 6:

or like okay so even when I when I when I had a bachelorette party and like certain people I was getting lingerie from It's tradition, but it's weird. It's really weird.

02:01:56 - 02:02:00 | Speaker 3:

Would it be weird if I asked Kevin if I could have his grandma's sex book?

02:02:01 - 02:02:05 | Speaker 6:

I'm glad they could be. Wait, wait. Were there grandma notes in it?

02:02:05 - 02:02:07 | Speaker 5:

No, it wasn't annotated. Oh, my God.

02:02:07 - 02:02:12 | Speaker 3:

That would be great. Bookmarks. Chris, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi, Chris.

02:02:13 - 02:02:15 | Speaker 2:

Hey, you guys are talking about the grandma thing.

02:02:15 - 02:02:15 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:02:16 - 02:02:25 | Speaker 2:

My grandma, I used to travel back in sports and visit her every year. And every year I'd get there, she'd have a new lingerie for my wife.

02:02:26 - 02:02:34 | Speaker 3:

What? Your grandma would give lingerie to her step-granddaughter so that her grandson would be turned on by it, huh?

02:02:35 - 02:02:40 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and it was the most awkward thing every trip. Every time we went there, it'd be a new outfit.

02:02:41 - 02:02:44 | Speaker 3:

Would your wife ever wear grandma's lingerie that she would buy?

02:02:45 - 02:02:46 | Speaker 2:

No.

02:02:46 - 02:02:50 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Was it good lingerie? Like, did you ever look at it?

02:02:51 - 02:02:59 | Speaker 2:

No, it would always get packed in the suitcase, you know, just kind of tucked away. Yeah. And she'd always even tie in the hand, like, you guys have fun tonight, you know? And it was just really awkward.

02:03:00 - 02:03:07 | Speaker 7:

Does nobody think it's weird that it's the women trying to get pleasure for their men in their life? It's this, like, it's making me gag.

02:03:07 - 02:03:28 | Speaker 3:

I think it's wonderful, though, that Grandma wants you to be happy. But, you know, I remember when we were trying to have Jacob. He was, like, the one kid we tried for. And I remember the rest of them are all mistakes. I love that. I love that. But Chelsea's parents would go, you guys go on a date? They knew we were trying. Yeah. So it's kind of like one of those things. So I get it in that way.

02:03:28 - 02:03:41 | Speaker 7:

That's so different. I think it's different to take a kid and be like, have a night to yourself. I know you're working on this versus I want you to feel lots of pleasure. Hopefully this turns you on or gets you to the big O. Those are different things.

02:03:41 - 02:03:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that is kind of wild. Don't you guys want to read this? Can we get, bring the sex book in and let's read it on the air.

02:03:47 - 02:03:50 | Speaker 5:

I gave it, he donated it. Yeah, last night. I put it in a box.

02:03:50 - 02:03:52 | Speaker 3:

Which Salvation Army I'm going over there?

02:03:53 - 02:03:54 | Speaker 5:

It's in Wall 8. All right, I'm going.

02:03:55 - 02:03:56 | Speaker 1:

Don't miss this.

02:03:57 - 02:03:58 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the morning.

02:03:58 - 02:04:02 | Speaker 3:

Shannon's last Dirty of the week is coming up here next.

02:04:02 - 02:04:13 | Speaker 6:

I actually have the sweetest story, and this is a huge shout-out to something that Matthew Stafford did for a Lions fan and his daughter, so I'll tell you all about it coming up in the Dirty.

02:04:13 - 02:04:18 | Speaker 3:

And your chance to go to the Tate McRae sold-out concert. The only way you can get tickets is to win next.

02:04:18 - 02:04:28 | Speaker 1:

If you answered awesome to the question, how are you doing today? You're either drunk, practicing your sarcasm, or you're about to go on vacation. Welcome to... This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:04:29 - 02:04:33 | Speaker 6:

It's time for more Mojo. Mojo in the Morning.

02:04:33 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 3:

All morning, we have been premiering new music from the weekend. And we're also going to, throughout the day, play you some old weekends. Some, like, throwbacks like this. can't feel my face or the hills good songs but the big news is this

02:05:00 - 02:05:30 | Speaker 2:

At 10 o'clock, we've got a concert announcement to have for you with the weekend coming. And we're going to give away a pair of tickets. So that's happening in less than 30 minutes. You know, we don't just do this stuff willy-nilly around here. We got our act together. Even though I just found out about the concert. I'm like, why didn't they tell me? Or did they? Was that in a memo and I just didn't read it?

02:05:30 - 02:05:32 | Speaker 1:

No, it wasn't. Our marketing director just gave it to me.

02:05:32 - 02:06:35 | Speaker 2:

They were waiting until the weekend. Did they not think that there would be something good to promote all day with that concert? But I don't know. But, Herod, let's do this. Let's give you a chance to win Tate McRae tickets. I knew that was coming up. Tate McRae, text to win, text Tate, T-A-T-E, to 95500 for a shot. Tate McRae tickets right now, text Tate to 95500. She did a great job, by the way, at the fundraiser. Yeah, it was really – I actually saw all over our iHeart Instagram page some great stuff that happened out of that. It was awesome to see all the celebrities that showed. Did you guys see what the Dodgers did yesterday? The World Series champion Dodgers, who, by the way, have just pretty much bought every player in baseball now. They've had a free agency where – you talk about basketball dream teams that LeBron's been on. this team has every best Major League Baseball player on it for this next upcoming year. I don't know how any of the other teams can compete. It's just insane.

02:06:35 - 02:06:36 | Speaker 1:

Who else they need?

02:06:36 - 02:06:39 | Speaker 2:

But they got the best, you know.

02:06:40 - 02:06:40 | Speaker 1:

They have Otani.

02:06:41 - 02:07:18 | Speaker 2:

Well, they got Otani. He's the best in baseball. But they also got the best reliever during the offseason. They ended up picking up, like, one of the best shortstops or something like that. I don't know. I don't know sports that well, but I just keep seeing it every day. It's them signing somebody. But they yesterday went out and all the players donated their own personal money to give to the victims of the fires. And it's not just these rich neighborhoods that you're seeing like of celebrities that had lost their homes. There's a lot of neighborhoods where there's a lot of poverty in these areas where these people can't afford to build their homes back again. And the Dodgers, I guess, are really giving back.

02:07:18 - 02:07:18 | Speaker 3:

Very cool.

02:07:18 - 02:07:36 | Speaker 2:

um we're gonna give you the dirty and then i'll i don't know i'm trying to look at all the stuff we got going on but this is a big one shannon's last dirty of the week mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30 what do you got shannon in this hour is dirty on the 30 well uh the latest updates on

02:07:36 - 02:08:05 | Speaker 1:

the tragedy at reagan national airport all 67 individuals involved in that mid-air collision so the collision excuse me so the 64 on board that american airlines flight from wichita and and the three on board the Black Hawk helicopter are confirmed dead. And yesterday, we learned that one air traffic controller was essentially doing the job of two at the time of the crash, coordinating arriving and departing flights from Reagan and directing helicopter traffic. There were supposed to be two. Somebody was told to go home early.

02:08:05 - 02:08:14 | Speaker 2:

Well, and the crazy thing is helicopters and planes are on totally different frequencies, so they don't use the same radio. So you've got to switch over frequencies going back and forth

02:08:14 - 02:08:35 | Speaker 1:

to warn one warn the other yeah the national transportation safety board said it's too early to tell whether it was human error or mechanical error that was at fault for this disaster but i want to play this for you this is a former god bless you black hawk helicopter pilot talking about i'm not going to play the whole clip but talking about what it's like um in in these sorts

02:08:35 - 02:08:42 | Speaker 3:

of situations landing these things you've flown a black hawk have you flown this particular corridor in the nation's capital?

02:08:42 - 02:08:52 | Speaker 4:

Yes, many times. I was in the 12th Aviation Battalion for two years, and I commanded Charlie Company there, including on the night of 9-11, and I've thrown through that exact airspace many, many times.

02:08:52 - 02:08:58 | Speaker 3:

What can you tell us about that process and what you believe may be implicated in what has happened?

02:08:58 - 02:09:38 | Speaker 4:

There's a system of low-level helicopter routes throughout the capital region that goes above a lot of the freeways and along the Potomac, and it is a very normal, routine thing for military helicopters to fly along those routes. As you're flying past Reagan National Airport, you go down to around 200 feet to deconflict that helicopter passage with the aircraft flying in and out of Reagan. It's a system that's been in place for decades, and throughout that time period, it's ensured the safe deconfliction of those helicopters and aircraft flying in and out of Reagan. But last night, that system failed, and I think it's really important to understand why. So something horrible like this never happens again.

02:09:38 - 02:09:48 | Speaker 3:

That hard deck terminology, 200 feet, how important is that in the safety of this entire complex system of movement of aircraft and helicopter?

02:09:48 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Throughout the entire system, there's a prescribed route and prescribed altitude you're supposed to be at. And that altitude becomes particularly important right there at Reagan National Airport, because as you're flying, you literally have aircraft.

02:10:00 - 02:10:04 | Speaker 1:

coming in and out and you have to stay at that altitude it's not really a hard deck it's a don't

02:10:04 - 02:10:11 | Speaker 4:

fly above that as the helicopter interesting and they did what was happening yeah um do you think

02:10:11 - 02:10:18 | Speaker 2:

it was because it was a like a student or somebody that had less my you know hours doing it why why

02:10:18 - 02:10:24 | Speaker 4:

they did that no because and we talked about this earlier the the person flying had 500 hours of

02:10:24 - 02:10:31 | Speaker 2:

vlogged flight time so why did they break the rule and go higher i guess i wonder if it's really just

02:10:31 - 02:10:42 | Speaker 4:

human error question well that's what that's what the the ntsb is saying we can't tell yet if it was human error or if something mechanically failed here yesterday that's the big question i was like

02:10:42 - 02:11:03 | Speaker 2:

conspiracy theorist you know everything and then now to hear the you know mismanagement of the unmanned, you know, the air traffic control, but then to hear this story, I don't know. I mean, I, I, I just think that it's like bad situation, you know, but they got to figure out how this doesn't ever happen again.

02:11:04 - 02:11:29 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. And among the lives lost in this tragedy, 14 figure skaters, the state, the skating club of Boston was devastated by this in particular. Six of the victims were from this Boston club, including two coaches, two teenage athletes, and two moms of those athletes. This is the father of rising skating star Spencer Lane. Not only did he lose his son, he also lost his wife on that flight.

02:11:30 - 02:11:38 | Speaker 1:

Kind of just felt like a nightmare and was hoping I would wake up and it would be that. But it's a new reality that we just have to work through together.

02:11:38 - 02:11:42 | Speaker 4:

Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan breaking down over the loss of these kids.

02:11:42 - 02:11:57 | Speaker 3:

We are strong, and I guess it's how we respond to it. And so my response is to be with people I care about and I love and I needed support. So that's why I'm here.

02:11:59 - 02:12:14 | Speaker 4:

In other Dirty this morning, Swifties get ready because Taylor is going to be at the Grammy Awards this weekend. Yesterday, the Recording Academy confirming that Taylor will be presenting an award on Sunday night. I don't know what category she's presenting for, but she'll be walking the carpet. She'll be in the audience. She'll be there.

02:12:15 - 02:12:22 | Speaker 2:

I always thought the Grammys were the most boring of all the awards. Like, I always felt like the MTV VMAs made the Grammys look slow.

02:12:23 - 02:13:52 | Speaker 4:

I mean, the MTV, when you compare anything to, especially the old, the old MTV VMAs, they were so good. Speaking of Taylor, this Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds and Justin Baldoni lawsuit has really affected her friendship with Blake. hearing from a couple of different people that Taylor's kind of taken a step back from that friendship after feeling like she was used as like an intimidation tactic by Blake in the lawsuit. So if you've been following along with this story that has been in the dirty for months now, but Justin claimed that Blake used Taylor to essentially get her way at a meeting with Ryan Reynolds about some edits, some changes she made to this rooftop scene we keep hearing about for the movie It Ends With Us. And Justin said Taylor showed up, made him feel like he needed to comply with Blake's direction for the script. And that was that. Well, kind of being brought into this whole thing was the last straw for Taylor. Her people want to keep her as far away from this mess as possible. And their side of the story is, yeah, Taylor was going over to Blake and Ryan's penthouse to hang out that night. She thought this meeting would be over. It lasted longer than it should have. So when she showed up, she, like, gave her opinion on it, not thinking that ultimately it was going to be this. And then her name was going to be thrown around in this lawsuit. And here's the story that I was teasing about Matthew Stafford from earlier.

02:13:53 - 02:13:56 | Speaker 2:

And this is going to make us like him again, right?

02:13:57 - 02:13:58 | Speaker 4:

Did we ever stop liking him?

02:13:58 - 02:14:02 | Speaker 2:

We were told not to like him after last season. We were told that it was over with.

02:14:02 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 4:

So there is a huge Lions fan, and his name is Bryson Machanga. and he decided to sell his autographed Lions Stafford jersey so that he could take his daughter to an NFL game. Okay, and he was like, it hurt me to do this. I hope Matthew would understand. Well, he did. So Bryson and his eight-year-old daughter Kinsley drove from Wisconsin, where they live, to watch the Lions take on the commanders at Ford Field. And in order to afford the tickets, we know they were crazy, Bryson sold the Stafford jersey that he'd owned for more than a decade, along with some additional memorabilia. So he could get the cash and be able to do this. Huge Stafford fan, but it was important to him to create this core memory with his daughter. So Matthew catches wind of this. Obviously, it strikes a chord with him, dad of four girls. So he sends Bryson a new signed Lions jersey, which I think is so sweet.

02:15:00 - 02:15:16 | Speaker 2:

And Bryson is like, you know, it just reconfirmed to me who Matthew Stafford is. He had no reason to do this. He had no game. He's not our quarterback anymore. He went out of his way in a playoff week to do this for a fan and just props to him. Love it.

02:15:16 - 02:15:27 | Speaker 3:

Good job, Matthew. I was watching TV last night and I was watching. I was watching, I think, the NBA game that was on. And it was all Matthew Stafford and Kelly Stafford commercials.

02:15:27 - 02:15:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh, for sleep. Was it Sleep Number?

02:15:29 - 02:15:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, they were, like, all over the place.

02:15:31 - 02:15:39 | Speaker 2:

That's it. For all of this week's Dirty, you can get caught up by checking out the podcast on the iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

02:15:58 - 02:16:11 | Speaker 3:

I'll do it on the morning show. Shannon got caught with her hand not in the cookie jar, but her nose or knuckle in her nose.

02:16:11 - 02:16:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Wait.

02:16:15 - 02:16:18 | Speaker 3:

There's nothing worse. Isn't there the worst thing ever to get picked?

02:16:18 - 02:16:21 | Speaker 2:

If you say that you've never picked your nose, you are a liar.

02:16:21 - 02:16:25 | Speaker 3:

Right. Everybody does. Okay. If you've eaten it, now that's a different story altogether.

02:16:26 - 02:17:29 | Speaker 2:

Okay. This was not that good case. So I pick up the kids from school. This was the day before yesterday. And we're like driving because I wanted to run some errands, like get my car washed and stuff. So I pick the kids up. We're driving. And there was something in my nose and I wanted to get it out. Right. So it's me. Lucy's in the passenger seat. And then Smith is in the back. We're stopped at a light. and I see these kids waving and trying to get my attention in the back of the school bus in front of me. And Lucy's like, oh, mom, there's Aaron and there's all my friends on that bus. And I was like, oh, F. I didn't think about this and I didn't realize that there was a school bus with all of my daughter's friends in the back right in front of us as I was picking my nose. And I'm like, this poor girl is probably going to hear about it at school tomorrow and they're going to be like, Lucy, we saw your mom picking her nose. You just ruined her reputation for the next 10 years. And my own. And my own.

02:17:29 - 02:17:35 | Speaker 3:

You now officially have become an official mom because every mom always embarrasses their kid in the school pickup line.

02:17:36 - 02:17:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah, and this was right after the pickup line. Or dad.

02:17:39 - 02:18:06 | Speaker 3:

Yep. Like, I've had more butt cracks shown by my kids' friends. That usually, how many times does my butt crack show? Chelsea always has to tell me all the time, can you please pull your pants up? my butt cracked just all the time do you remember the time maybe it was back when Sarah was here the listener that caught a picture of me with myself picking my nose did you get that too? wait, that's right

02:18:06 - 02:18:23 | Speaker 2:

you and I have a lot in common something like that I feel like has happened to everybody on the show where we're out in public and you know whatever, it's real life and then someone's like oh I think that's Kev from the Mojo in the morning show and then takes a picture and posts it.

02:18:23 - 02:18:45 | Speaker 3:

I'd rather have that than if somebody had a video or a picture of me on my couch. My hand is always in my pants. And it is no doubt. You got to smell just to make sure that they're clean. Don't you? You smell the nuts. You do it. Wait, but not in public. No, but at home, I'll do that. Like at home, I'll do it.

02:18:45 - 02:19:01 | Speaker 4:

I probably have before, I'm sure. My favorite thing is being stuck in traffic or at a red light and looking over and seeing, like, somebody digging in their nose or eating food all crazy. Like, that's when, for some reason, when you're in your car, you think you're in your home. You think nobody can see you for some reason.

02:19:01 - 02:19:06 | Speaker 2:

I know, but can you imagine, like, looking, like, being on the bus and looking at the car behind you and being like, that's Lucy's mom.

02:19:07 - 02:19:10 | Speaker 4:

I'm so loud. Everybody look, look.

02:19:10 - 02:19:47 | Speaker 3:

um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 text is 95500 um it's so funny that the school pickup line is where it happens because that is like the place where as a kid everything gets more magnified for some reason if it happens in front of your friends it's worse than if your mom like if your kids saw you picking nose in the car they'd laugh about it well they don't yeah they're picking their nose too yeah but your friends you know right they see that and i love embarrassing lucy and

02:19:47 - 02:20:07 | Speaker 2:

smith in the pickup line like i love pumping up the music i love dancing crazy or like screaming out i missed you all day i love doing that stuff but that's like me knowingly doing those things this was not um you know it's it's wild you don't normally pick up your kids though right

02:20:07 - 02:20:12 | Speaker 1:

it's i pick up my kids every day every day that i have them yes from school or the school from

02:20:12 - 02:20:17 | Speaker 2:

school yep i thought why did i think your kids took a bus and it all am commiserated by your

02:20:17 - 02:20:26 | Speaker 1:

house no in previous years they did but i they were on the bus for about 40 minutes on the way home and so at the end of last year i put the kibosh on that and just started picking them up

02:20:26 - 02:20:30 | Speaker 2:

Do we not have like good bus routes anymore? Because there's only one bus driver.

02:20:30 - 02:20:46 | Speaker 1:

There's a shortage of bus drivers in a lot of the districts, including mine. And so they combine routes or routes, whatever, routes, routes, and they cram as many kids on these buses as they can safely, I think. And but it was just taking so long.

02:20:46 - 02:20:50 | Speaker 2:

So they weren't getting home. They weren't getting home. It's out at three. They're not home till five.

02:20:50 - 02:20:58 | Speaker 1:

No, like for real. And it was it was causing a lot of problems with like sports schedules. And also I didn't want them sitting on the bus for 40, it was 40 minutes.

02:20:58 - 02:21:55 | Speaker 2:

See, I wish I grew up nowadays because of I, my kids also got us, we picked them up too, but they went to a Catholic school and they only had like one bus route and it would drop you off at like a parking lot somewhere. Like you'd had to go like meet it somewhere. But I, to me, riding the bus was, it molded who I was as a kid. It made me hate people because you had the kids on the bus that were the jerk offs. And then you had the kids on the bus that were kind of the nerds. I sat in the middle of the bus. Like it was always like the smart kids were up front, the kind of middle of the road, you know, you were kind of sometimes talked to by the cool kids and kind of sometimes the only people that would talk to you were the nerds in the front. And then the back of the bus were all the guys that you hoped one day had drug addictions. But that was kind of like my, that was kind of, oh, believe me, Jim Parthamore. Jim Parthamore.

02:21:55 - 02:21:56 | Speaker 3:

That's not the full name.

02:21:57 - 02:22:13 | Speaker 2:

I have no idea where you are, Jim Parthamore, but, you know, you were mean. But no, but that was kind of your thing that you had. So, but these kids don't ride buses anymore. Now, that's the reason why the school parking lots are like, it's like the mall at Christmas time. It's nuts.

02:22:14 - 02:22:14 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah.

02:22:14 - 02:22:28 | Speaker 2:

Look who's on with us. What's that? Jim Parthamore? No. What is that noise? It's us. Turn your radio down. That is Mojo. He should know better. He's a misfit. Mojo in the morning misfit. Baby leg Jay.

02:22:28 - 02:22:29 | Speaker 1:

What up, Jay? Hey, Jay.

02:22:29 - 02:22:35 | Speaker 2:

Hey, hey, hey. Turn your radio down, Jay. Oh, yeah, it's there. No, it's not.

02:22:35 - 02:22:37 | Speaker 3:

No, I literally told him to turn it down, too.

02:22:37 - 02:22:42 | Speaker 2:

I can hear it. Can you hear me? Yeah, don't lie to us. There you go. There you go. What's going on, Jay?

02:22:44 - 02:23:05 | Speaker 4:

No, I was commenting on what you guys said. So then for yesterday, I was at eight and Shannon just happened to look over and seeing the guy digging in his nose. Tell me why he licked it. I'm like, oh, there's that laugh. I almost ran the red light. I did. I almost ran the red light. Oh, that was gross.

02:23:07 - 02:23:11 | Speaker 2:

You know what? Good for him. It's good protein. What's up, Tiffany? How you doing?

02:23:12 - 02:23:13 | Speaker 3:

Good. How are you?

02:23:13 - 02:23:14 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's up?

02:23:15 - 02:23:22 | Speaker 3:

So I was at a red light. And the guy next to me was watching something very inappropriate on his phone.

02:23:22 - 02:23:24 | Speaker 2:

What? Tell us.

02:23:24 - 02:23:25 | Speaker 3:

Mm-hmm.

02:23:25 - 02:23:26 | Speaker 2:

Little, huh?

02:23:27 - 02:23:29 | Speaker 3:

He was watching something very dirty.

02:23:30 - 02:23:32 | Speaker 2:

He had Pornhub on there?

02:23:32 - 02:23:33 | Speaker 3:

Yes, yes.

02:23:34 - 02:23:54 | Speaker 2:

You know what's funny about that? Could you imagine if your dad was in the school parking lot watching porn? Oh, my God. Has anybody ever had that? You put them both together. Could you imagine? Like, what would you do? Anne, can you imagine if it was in the minivan, the mom's minivan, and you're watching it?

02:23:54 - 02:23:56 | Speaker 3:

He was in a work van.

02:23:56 - 02:23:57 | Speaker 2:

He was? What company was it?

02:23:57 - 02:24:00 | Speaker 3:

Did you get the name of the business? How's my driving?

02:24:01 - 02:24:10 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. You should call that number for the business and tell them that you saw that. Can you imagine? Yeah. Truck number 124 was watching that.

02:24:11 - 02:24:13 | Speaker 3:

I'd like a link to the video, please. Looks good.

02:24:13 - 02:24:17 | Speaker 2:

Did he look like he had, were his hands on the steering wheel at the time or what was he doing?

02:24:18 - 02:24:23 | Speaker 3:

I couldn't really tell because I was more worried about what he was watching than what he was doing.

02:24:23 - 02:24:45 | Speaker 2:

You know what's funny is now that you can't have your phones in your hand anymore and I've got like the thing that sticks to the dashboard, everybody can see whatever I'm looking at. And I got the, because of Megan gave me the advice to do it, I got the big phone. So I got the big phone right now, which by the way, the big phone is great. I find myself watching that instead of watching stuff on my TV anymore.

02:24:45 - 02:24:46 | Speaker 3:

Yes. You're welcome, Chelsea.

02:24:47 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 2:

No. Well, no. Listen, now she just has me on my phone even more than I was before. But I've never done porn in the car. Like, I really have not. Honestly, I'm a.

02:25:00 - 02:25:01 | Speaker 6:

freaky son of a bitch, but

02:25:01 - 02:25:20 | Speaker 7:

I just don't get the porn in the car thing. Freaky son of a bitch. You know what I mean? I mean, if you look at it, and this sounds like I do it all the time, but I'm just saying, if you look at it like it's entertainment, then it's no different than you watching highlights of your favorite basketball game. I just can't. I'm trying to put my mind in their mind. No. My algorithm is so

02:25:20 - 02:25:31 | Speaker 6:

weird on Instagram, though, now it looks like porn. I have all these girls bouncing in bikinis on my algorithm, and Chelsea thinks that's all. I don't know how I've gotten it. You've been watching stuff. What am I watching?

02:25:31 - 02:25:50 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so I started watching before and afters on plastic surgery. And the videos that pop up in my search now are so horrifically inappropriate that you would think I'm searching for. They're not anything to do with plastic surgery? No. It's like naked girls bouncing up and down. And it's like, I don't search for this, I swear. I just want to see what a tummy tuck looks like. Yeah.

02:25:50 - 02:25:53 | Speaker 6:

What's up? Initial C wants to be voices, guys. What's up, C?

02:25:53 - 02:26:03 | Speaker 3:

okay so i run training for uh my students do me a favor are you on a speaker phone

02:26:03 - 02:26:10 | Speaker 6:

yeah but i took it off speaker phone oh good okay all right then talk again because i couldn't

02:26:10 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 3:

understand what you said in the beginning go ahead say it again okay so i was running a training on zoom and when people were in the breakout room i didn't realize my camera was still on and so When people came back, I was pitting my nose.

02:26:24 - 02:26:46 | Speaker 6:

Oh. Pitting my nose. I thought it was going to be even worse than that. I was going to be like, yeah, it was one of those. Because you've heard these stories about people that, like, what was that guy from CNN? There was a member that, it was like Jeffrey Toobin, the legal expert from CNN. On his Zoom, he went to a break in Zoom and he went and he, you know.

02:26:46 - 02:26:47 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yeah.

02:26:47 - 02:26:48 | Speaker 6:

He stroked one out.

02:26:48 - 02:26:51 | Speaker 7:

During break? Was he timing this out?

02:26:51 - 02:26:58 | Speaker 6:

He was on a Zoom break, yeah, but everybody heard and saw. What a way to go out. Star, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

02:27:00 - 02:27:22 | Speaker 1:

Hey, guys. How are you? Okay, so my street is kitty corner from a car wash, and it was pouring rain one day. I had something I needed to throw away, so I just stopped real fast. I went to go get out of my car, and I stopped dead in my tracks in the pouring rain. There was a car in the bay because it's a car wash where you can wash your own car. The people in the car was moving back and forth. the people were, like, totally getting it on. Oh, God. In the car?

02:27:23 - 02:27:27 | Speaker 6:

In the car wash? In the car. How long does it take to go through a car wash?

02:27:28 - 02:27:40 | Speaker 1:

I was standing there, like, I was frozen. I, like, was soaked just standing there. I'm like, what is really going on? Yep, they were just getting it on. Wow. Then eventually they saw me just, like, standing there, so they hurried up and drove away.

02:27:41 - 02:27:43 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh.

02:27:43 - 02:27:51 | Speaker 1:

I'm so glad to this day. It was the funniest thing, and I'm just like, wow, what if somebody would have pulled up in their car with their kid and he wasn't getting on like you don't care.

02:27:52 - 02:27:55 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that's brutal. By the way, that's called Jack's Car Wash.

02:27:57 - 02:28:10 | Speaker 5:

02:30:51 - 02:31:16 | Speaker 3:

Hey, if you missed any of the show today, there were some really good topics that we did, especially early. I thought the topics were great. And Kev, like, he really had it out there with Lydia about Lydia and the possibilities of her going and talking to her ex. That was awesome to listen to. I'm trying to think. I guess we had a good show. Was it a mediocre show? It was a great show.

02:31:17 - 02:31:21 | Speaker 4:

We had a conversation about living in separate places. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
