good morning welcome to the mojo in the morning show it's good to be here it's wednesday Five lies to tell your mom Phone scams, senseless surveys All coming up this morning And it's another cold start to the day Doesn't feel like as cold as yesterday But I could be just completely used to it I have no idea But we got a good show for you today Thank you for being here Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 Text is 95500 And whether you're listening to us on great radio stations like Channel 955 in Detroit, 92.5 Kiss FM in Toledo, and 104.5 SNX in Grand Rapids, or on the iHeartRadio app, or on a podcast. We appreciate you. Thank you for doing that. Mojo, Spike, Shannon, out sick today. Hopefully back tomorrow. We'll see. She actually got sick, started feeling sick over the weekend, started taking And is doing much better I talked to her yesterday She answered the phone And when she answered the phone It was like, hello Yes, is the lady about I did exactly that We were thinking the same thing So yeah She'll hopefully be back tomorrow And in the meantime And when I say that I don't mean that we don't enjoy Megan But it is

00:04:20 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 4:

It's a little loud at 5 o'clock in the morning

00:04:22 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 3:

i came in this morning and she was just bitching already oh my god so nice to come in uh and really spend all of my free time to make sure that everything is covered for you guys yeah to only

00:04:35 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

be bitched about constantly well let me let me say this i mean and you know what hold on let me get rid of this music here for one second when megan uh does have the opportunity to you know come in his studio it is always nice because what it does is it makes her more active not just during the show but after the show because i noticed yesterday that for it seems like the first time in

00:05:00 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 2:

fraternity, Megan was active in the group chat, and I don't know if it's because she's more active, like, you know, participatory during the radio program, but it has caused for a fight to go on between members of the show.

00:05:18 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, my nemini. My nemesis. My nemesis. You're within arm's reach. Watch out, girl. he just walked into the room and i am ready to fight because i learned the hard lesson yesterday of why i don't participate in the group chat every once in a while i like to dabble i like to go maybe today is the day that i will be a happy camper and participate in the group chat which by the way is all of us here on the morning show and our boss tony travato it's who's on the chat and i sent a tiktok that is a funny news story about something happening in michigan and nobody responds right so i said that and i'm just gonna send some receipts here so i said that at 11 35 in the morning then literally two hours later mojo sends the exact same news story and everybody responds to mojo story so i was like oh that's cool so nobody wanted to watch my news story but when the mighty mojo sends it everybody participates which is fine and i jokingly said literally like nobody watches it but at least i have a topic for tomorrow and then kp out of left field whoa where'd she come through here she just decides to go wow that was set at 11 35 during our podcast lie number one lie number one right there i just want to specify our podcast had not started and kp would know that because during the podcast We were sitting directly next to each other Locked eyes almost the entire time Because you and I were conversating The entire time together

00:06:55 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 1:

Now I'm painting my ass

00:06:58 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 4:

Now I know what you're thinking, Becca How do you know the podcast hadn't started? Well, funny you ask that, listener Because at 11.38 Three minutes after I sent the news story KP asked Mike if he was ready to start the podcast So her own text messages and timestamps prove that we had not started yet. So I called her out for that. And instead of saying in front of our boss, oh, you're right. My bad. What does she do instead? Sends a crying give emoji like I could care less that I had called you out for being wrong in front of our boss. And instead of saying my bad, I'm just going to mock you a little bit more in front of everybody.

00:07:36 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 3:

I am living out my dream of wanting an older sister to absolutely irritate.

00:07:45 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 4:

My nightmare is to have a little sister. Well, congratulations.

00:07:50 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 3:

Four more lies and you get a prize.

00:07:54 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 4:

So I would just like to know. You're going down, bitch! Why did you call me out in front of the boss? Strike one. Two, why were you lying about it? Strike two. and three why didn't you apologize in the group chat in front of everybody so i have to admit i

00:08:09 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 3:

actually didn't realize mojo sent the exact same article i only read actually one message actually

00:08:14 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 2:

i go ahead finish your comment because if i'm going to tell you that megan's wrong go ahead

00:08:18 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 3:

i i um i only read one message and it was only megan so feel honored that i only read one message it was not literally no one watches my tiktoks at least i have a topic for tomorrow and then i looked at the time stamp of when you sent the podcast and my brain is in podcast mode when we're from like 11 a.m. she's focused 40 i'm like oh we typically do podcasts at that time so i was

00:08:43 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 1:

probably focused on something else and i and i don't want to dogpile on megan but when you're done mojo saying why megan's wrong i'm gonna add why megan's also wrong okay megan so so

00:08:54 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 2:

megan sent a tic tac of some guy explaining the story that was horribly boring yes i was sending

00:09:02 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 4:

so boring that you said the same story

00:09:03 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 2:

I was sending the same story but with actualities and actually exciting stuff to it about the story so where you were sending some boner sitting there talking about it I was actually sending the actual audio but that's okay go ahead

00:09:21 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 1:

we're on the same wavelength I've already said my disdain for the oversensitivity of some of the younger people on this show that they feel that you need to I pat them on the back for every meme, every gif, every TikTok they share. I look at them all. I don't necessarily react to them all.

00:09:43 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 4:

That is such BS. It sucks.

00:09:46 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

I, like Mojo, looked at yours when you sent it, and I agree. It was the most boring. This guy was the worst TikTok. You follow that guy? He should be removed from TikTok because he didn't put any effort into this TikTok.

00:10:00 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 4:

All he was doing was reading a story off the screen, boringly, I might add. But you sent it, and I thought, well, maybe she's not sending it because she thinks it's hilarious. Maybe she's sending it because she thinks it would be good for the show, for KP. So I figured Mojo probably did the same thing. He watched it and said, well, let me look for the story because it could be good to talk about on the show. And that's why Mojo replied with more info about the actual story. Yes, I was trying to expand on the story. Which should make you feel better that he actually watched your story.

00:10:28 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 1:

He didn't, because if he did, he wouldn't have sent the same news story. Y'all, it's very clear he didn't watch it. And it was also Marcus DePolla, who has 4 million followers on TikTok because he reads interesting news stories. Oh, my God. I'm going to start doing that. That's literally all his content is. I'm trying too hard. And he seems to be pretty successful at it if you look at the numbers, which is crazy.

00:10:50 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 4:

I was in here for an hour yesterday trying to create a TikTok because our boss is always complaining we need to put more TikToks on the Channel 955 TikTok. talk so maybe all i need to do is just sit there and boringly with no facial expression read off the screen you know you have any idea how i don't give it's not working for his four million

00:11:07 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 1:

followers you are you guys are so right i i'm so glad that we're taking your perspective on all

00:11:13 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 3:

all right okay let's did you guys feel better now no i feel like everybody just dogged on me

00:11:19 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 2:

at the end again and now i'm just mad all right hey did you guys hear the story about the kid

00:11:23 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 1:

with a grub hub yeah literally okay yeah and that's genuinely mad and that's what it's about

00:11:31 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 3:

into this morning we will actually talk to the people that the story that megan boringly sent

00:11:36 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 4:

and we don't need to some boring guy read it to us we will uh we're gonna talk to him and again

00:11:40 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 3:

the story we haven't even told you what the story is but there's a local kid in our listening area his parents actually listen to the show who got a hold of his dad's credit card and ordered a thousand dollars on grubhub and this dad only found out when the ring cam just kept showing people like one by one coming through to deliver things to the house and the kid was how old megan you know because you listen to the story right

00:12:09 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 1:

oh my god it's gonna be a day you guys i really truly is he six no you know what it's

00:12:20 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 3:

He is six years old, yes.

00:12:23 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 1:

Who would you like me to mail this dirty that I've prepped for today? Because I'm going to send it to one of you. And then I'm going to actually get in my car and just go home.

00:12:32 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 3:

No, no, we love you.

00:12:33 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 4:

The girl who never replies or jumps in the group chat is now complaining that she finally did and nobody actually...

00:12:39 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 3:

One day I'm going to call Megan out when she does that whole thing, when she goes, I quit, I'm leaving, I'm doing this. And I'm going to go, all right, great, thanks a lot, I appreciate it. And she's going to go, crap. All right, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. By the way, this is proof that I just wanted everybody to know this because look at this. People text in and call in if you want to call and tell us what your thoughts are on this. Proof that listeners, for some reason, don't just love when the show is happy and, you know, copacetic. They want some fire going on. Just like they have arguments with family and coworkers and friends of theirs, we go through those moments. I always think it's a good therapy session whenever we can do this.

00:13:29 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 1:

I actually feel quite angrier than I did about 10 minutes ago. To be fair, you're not wrong.

00:13:35 - 00:14:01 | Speaker 2:

Nobody responds to anything in the group chat. And you get to a point where you're like, ah, why am I even saying so? I think I hurt you, Mike, all the time, though. You do, but like— I do because I want to make sure that Mike knows that I love him. No, it's not even that. It's just why send anything if nobody is going to respond? Like even a funny thing or I don't need a pat on the back. But why are we sending stuff to each other if nobody is going to respond?

00:14:01 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 3:

Well, the one thing that I realize is that there's a time for response. So you can't send it at certain times because there's certain times where everybody kind of unplugs from the show. And I've realized that there have been moments where I've sent like something. It would be like the biggest news ever And nobody ever says anything or does anything But I realize nobody sees it

00:14:19 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 4:

Well that was also the side conversation I didn't want to get into with Megan But after the show is when we're at our busiest We're all running around doing stuff after the show

00:14:26 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 3:

And we just saw We're actually with each other at that moment too Why don't you say hey there's a guy on TikTok That just said this thing

00:14:33 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 1:

Because here's the crazy thing You would think that as somebody who doesn't I rarely rarely rarely participate in our group chat Because it is a little bit disheartening I feel like at the beginning I was trying to be the comedic relief in the group and then nobody cared and that's that's kind of hurtful when you only participate when it's something that you feel like the group should know and then you're still ignored it's like what the hell am i like but then if i don't participate in the group why don't you

00:15:00 - 00:15:01 | Speaker 6:

Team effort, Megan.

00:15:01 - 00:15:15 | Speaker 4:

Where are you? But this is proof, though, that technology has ruined us, that we're all sitting in the same room, and we don't communicate with each other. We actually send a text to tell everybody what's going on. By the way, I just sent a text in the group chat.

00:15:16 - 00:15:20 | Speaker 6:

Well, I'm going to leave the group chat. Y'all can text me if there's something important.

00:15:20 - 00:15:21 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I think you'll like this one.

00:15:21 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 6:

But I'm actually going to exit it.

00:15:23 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 4:

I think you'll like this one. It's the middle finger, so it's right here. It's Mojo in the Morning's Back in the Day.

00:15:29 - 00:15:32 | Speaker 5:

Let's go! Back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:15:32 - 00:15:42 | Speaker 4:

All right, it all happened in the same year. This was the year that basketball star and ex to Khloe Kardashian Lamar Odom was hospitalized after being found unconscious at that brothel.

00:15:42 - 00:15:49 | Speaker 1:

Lamar was rushed to a local hospital where he is being monitored as his estranged extended family has come to visit.

00:15:50 - 00:15:54 | Speaker 4:

Did anybody think this was a good movie? The Martian starring Matt Damon hit theaters.

00:15:55 - 00:16:04 | Speaker 3:

So I got to make water and grow food on a planet where nothing grows. But if I can't figure out a way to make contact with NASA, none of this matters anyway.

00:16:04 - 00:16:04 | Speaker 4:

Really?

00:16:04 - 00:16:06 | Speaker 6:

Yes, he's a space pirate.

00:16:07 - 00:16:13 | Speaker 4:

And the big song from the weekend. Can't feel my face. What year was this?

00:16:16 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 5:

What year did these things happen? Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548. Ah, weather in the Midwest. It's like your ex-boyfriend. Cold, useless, and makes you want to punch something. This is Mojo in the Morning. We're going to take you back in the... It's Mojo in the Morning's Back in the Day. Tell us when this stuff happened.

00:16:42 - 00:16:51 | Speaker 4:

All happened in the same year. What year was this? Remember when Lamar Odom was found unconscious in that brothel in Nevada?

00:16:51 - 00:16:58 | Speaker 1:

Lamar was rushed to a local hospital where he is being monitored as his estranged extended family has come to visit.

00:16:58 - 00:17:01 | Speaker 4:

The Martian, starring Matt Damon, hit theaters.

00:17:02 - 00:17:11 | Speaker 3:

So I got to make water and grow food on a planet where nothing grows. But if I can't figure out a way to make contact with NASA, then none of this matters anyway.

00:17:11 - 00:18:24 | Speaker 4:

And the big song was from The Weeknd. What year was this? Sam, what year was that? 2015. It was, Sam. Congratulations to you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. What gave it away? The Lamar with him situation. Yeah, that was sad. We're going to set you up with a family four-pack of tickets, including free skating, free rental, and free refreshments at Winter Blast. It's happening in downtown Royal Oak, Michigan, presented by Soaring Eagle Casino. It's February the 17th. Congratulations. Thank you. Nice. Appreciate it. Thank you, buddy. Have a great morning. You too. Stay warm, okay? Well done. We'll give you a chance to win Taylor tickets before we do the dirty. Taylor Swift, June the 9th and 10th at Ford Field. Text HERO to 95500 for a chance to win. 00:18:24 - 00:18:27 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30

00:18:27 - 00:18:34 | Speaker 4:

And the Dirty on the 30 This morning with Shannon out, Megan in this morning

00:18:34 - 00:18:46 | Speaker 6:

What's going on? So Damar Hamlin Has decided to create a campaign To spread CPR awareness And training after his scare on the field Earlier this month so he's decided To team up with the American Heart Association

00:18:46 - 00:18:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah by the way It is Heart Month

00:18:49 - 00:19:05 | Speaker 2:

Right? Once again I want to thank everybody for the love And support over these past few weeks As you know, CPR saved my life earlier this year on the field, and CPR could easily save your life or someone you love. That's why I'm proud to announce that I'm partnering with the American Heart Association and kicking off DeMar Hamlin's 3 for Heart CPR Challenge.

00:19:06 - 00:19:33 | Speaker 6:

He went to Instagram to spread awareness for the campaign, which is three steps. Step number one, learn hands-only CPR. Number two, donate to the American Heart Association to fund CPR awareness and education. And number three is to challenge three people to do the same. Think like ALS, I spike a challenge. So who did he call out in his video? Well, Tom Brady, LeBron James, and Michelle Obama. And I'm guessing all three of them are probably going to participate in the next like 48 hours in this.

00:19:34 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 4:

I like that. By the way, because of my situation with my heart, I'm teaming up with U of M Heart Hospital and raising money to help out people who don't have the ability to be able to go to the hospital and have insurance and stuff. So if you want more information on that, it's pretty easy. It's victors.us slash U of M healthy hearts. And if you need more details, obviously that's a long thing to do. I'll post up on our social media during the month of February.

00:19:59 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 6:

Good, good, good.

00:20:00 - 00:20:01 | Speaker 2:

Don't you have an event coming up, too?

00:20:02 - 00:20:16 | Speaker 1:

I do. I have, like, a few of them that are coming up for Heart Healthy Month that I'm going to talk about. But they're towards the Valentine's Day. Got it, got it, got it. The day when we all, for some reason, feel like we all have good hearts.

00:20:17 - 00:21:59 | Speaker 2:

There's an Internet rumor spreading about Tyree Nichols, the man killed by Memphis police officers, that he was having an affair with one of the police officer's wives, which led to the beating. Well, according to a stepdad, this is not true. It is just a rumor. Please don't believe it. There's no evidence that this happened. Some people are honestly just using it to justify his murder, and those people are horrible. So don't do that. Ryan Reynolds isn't just a co-owner of the Ruxom Football Club. He is very emotionally invested, and I love his wife, Blake Lively. She's an icon because when his team took on Sheffield, the team three tiers above his own, His wife, Blake Lively, wanted to catch every second of the game, not to watch the game, but to watch how stressed out her husband, Ryan Reynolds, was. So she subscribed to ESPN Plus just to watch it unfold. She said, quote, I bought ESPN Plus today just to watch my husband experience crippling anxiety live. Worth it. Actually, the team pulled out a 3-3 tie, which is very impressive, but they do have another match between the two clubs on February 7th. Lotto is being called out for wearing one pair of underwear over and over and over again because every time it was caught on camera, all her fans saw was leopard print underwear. Well, in the best move possible, she decided to prove the haters wrong and she was going to auction off tons of her leopard print underwear. Where else? But obviously on eBay. Here's the thing. The underwear, it was going for nearly $100,000 before the site took it down because technically you're not allowed to sell underwear on there. But, hey, can we talk about the financial freedom selling my underwear would allow, like Lotto?

00:21:59 - 00:22:02 | Speaker 1:

So you can't sell underwear or used underwear?

00:22:02 - 00:22:21 | Speaker 2:

Used underwear. Okay, so, yeah. A lot of people are asking Lotto to now please make an OnlyFans because you are allowed to sell your underwear over there. And honestly, it makes me want to make an anonymous OnlyFans because if you can get $100,000, I mean, I wouldn't fetch $100,000, but I think that's more than we all expected.

00:22:22 - 00:22:23 | Speaker 3:

Even $100, right? That's good profit.

00:22:24 - 00:22:28 | Speaker 2:

For sure. I don't buy expensive underwear anymore. Poor investment.

00:22:28 - 00:22:30 | Speaker 3:

They're not buying it for the fancy underwear.

00:22:30 - 00:23:16 | Speaker 2:

Well, the cars were cute. They were nice underwear. Put Target underwear. Yeah. Wear it a couple of times. Make some money. I want you guys to know that I'm purely doing this story to piss the boys off because it is, in fact, a Tic Tac story. Remember how yesterday I told you Little Miss Sunshine and Abigail Breslin got married? Do you know who one of her bridesmaids was? Dylan Mulvaney. I'm so stoked about this. It's so cool. We have been waiting, what, over a month to see Dylan's new face reveal, and it really did pay off because she was a bridesmaid at the wedding, looking absolutely gorgeous, and apparently that they've been, like, friends for years. This is not a new thing. I think they were, like, childhood friends, but small world. Who knew? You can check out all of today's Dirty by going to the Dirty page at mojointhemorning.com.

00:23:16 - 00:23:22 | Speaker 4:

Get more Dirt at mojointhemorning.com. And another world-famous phone scam happens in minutes.

00:23:23 - 00:23:31 | Speaker 1:

All right, Mojo in the Morning 5 at 6.55 is coming up here in just a matter of moments. Right now, get a scam on at Senseless Survey.

00:23:32 - 00:23:37 | Speaker 4:

How many quality questions can we get to? It's another Senseless Survey on Mojo in the Morning.

00:23:40 - 00:24:02 | Speaker 3:

Yes? Hi, this is Mr. Dabalina Khan from U.S. Senseless Bureau with a 30-second survey, starting with, have you ever vacuumed your clothes? vacuumed my clothes in order to get them clean no all right and would you try a product called lasagna flavored cough syrup no great and how late do you think the internet should be open

00:24:02 - 00:24:15 | Speaker 5:

on the weekends on the weekend um i don't know i guess you should if you're paying for internet service you should be able to use it at any time anytime okay can you believe it's not butter

00:24:16 - 00:24:19 | Speaker 3:

Yes. And how many centimeters are you right now?

00:24:19 - 00:24:20 | Speaker 5:

Five, five and a half.

00:24:21 - 00:24:26 | Speaker 3:

Do you know how many centimeters? Six. Would you agree that Yoo-Hoo is just watered-down chocolate milk?

00:24:27 - 00:24:27 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

00:24:27 - 00:24:29 | Speaker 3:

And do you mind if I slip into something a little more comfortable?

00:24:31 - 00:24:31 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

00:24:31 - 00:24:35 | Speaker 3:

And which animal do you think is more confused, the bird dog or the catfish?

00:24:35 - 00:24:38 | Speaker 5:

And you say this is a survey with who?

00:24:38 - 00:24:39 | Speaker 3:

The U.S. Senseless Bureau.

00:24:39 - 00:24:42 | Speaker 5:

I thought you said three questions a little while ago.

00:24:42 - 00:25:21 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you know what I did? I apologize. I'll wrap this up then with just the last question. If you live in China, you went out for dinner. Would you still say you're going out for Chinese? No. I really appreciate you being a part of our survey. And just for the record, so I can say, are you under the age of 50 or over the age of 50? Under. And are eyebrows considered facial hair? No. And why is it if ghosts can walk through walls and glide downstairs, they don't fall through the floor? I have no idea, sir, but I do have to go. Why is vanilla ice cream white when vanilla extract is brown? Milk. And if a stripper gets breast implants, can she write it off on her taxes as a business?

00:25:25 - 00:25:31 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man. All right. That was good. A lot of good questions there. Senseless survey here on the Mojo in the Morning show.

00:26:18 - 00:26:23 | Speaker 1:

What Ice Ice Baby singer revealed that Madonna offered a marriage proposal to him in the 1990s? Vanilla Ice. Still the champion. Congratulations. And I'm feeling for you, Jaylene, because that true or false question and second-guessing yourself cost you the victory. But you were great, though. You were really awesome. We got a parting gift for you. We're going to set you up with a $50 gift card to Burger King, so enjoy that. And you got to come back and play with us again sometime, okay? Yeah. You want to be a contestant on the 5 at 6.55? Text Iwantoplay to 95500, and we'll get you on tomorrow's show to take on Kimberly. Text Iwantoplay to 95500. It's Mojo in the morning. 5 is 65555. Mojo in the morning. Ed Sheeran tickets coming up this hour on the show. Excuse me. Had to get that one out. That was really, really attractive. I was actually making it more attractive because I was going to belch very loud, and I decided I would swallow my belch at that particular moment. That's really yummy. That tastes like Starbucks egg bites. Delicious. All right, so Ed Sheeran tickets coming up this hour. Plus, this story is hysterically funny. A Chesterfield six-year-old kid gets a hold of his dad's phone only to order, like, countless orders from Grubhub. And the dad and family on with us in just a matter of moments to talk about this. The funniest is if you go to our story, so if you go up to Instagram or Facebook and go on our story, you can watch the video of all the Grubhub drivers one by one coming to the house and delivering. And the order of food was amazing. The kid got shawarma. I mean, come on. What six-year-old kid likes shawarma? I love that. Give this kid a big high five for me, okay? All right. It's time now for Five Lies. Tell your mom.

00:32:29 - 00:32:47 | Speaker 1:

If you would like to be a contestant on Five Lies, Tell Your Mom, and you'd like to scam your mom and win a prize for her, text MOM to 95500. That's M-O-M. Text that to 95500. Standard text and data rates do apply. It's Mojo in the morning.

00:32:49 - 00:32:49 | Unknown:

Sweet.

00:32:50 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 1:

Five Lies to Tell Your Mom. Desiree. Yes. You want to do Five Lies, Tell Your Mom? I sure do. Okay, you're very serious. You can't be serious like this. I am so excited. Are you really? I love pimping my mom off, so yeah. I called my sister in Texas and I was like, I need to know what we should do. All right, we're going to do five lies to tell your mom. We're going to have some fun with your mom here and hope that she doesn't hate you afterwards. Oh, she will, but it's okay. She will, I like that. Lie number one, you're going to say, Mom, remember when you took me to get my tubes tied? Lie number two, turns out they did it wrong. Lie number three, they grew back. I wonder if they could. I would like to know that. I know a lot of people who have had kids after getting their tubes tied. Oh, my God. So it could happen. Lie number four. They want me to come back for a redo. And line number five, because it's too late and I'm pregnant again. I'm a little nervous now. Quick question for you. Do you ever feel like you can't put this out in the universe? Because if you do, it might actually happen for real. I mean, it's God's work. It's God's work. And I'm going to sue my doctor who took my tubes if I get pregnant. And he told me it was 100% positive. Double check, okay, after we get done with Five Lies. Here we go. We're calling your mom up. Speak up nice and loud. Hello? Mom. What? So, remember when you took me to get my tube tied? Um, I guess.

00:35:00 - 00:36:23 | Speaker 4:

yeah okay well uh i talked to dr's office and it turns out that he did it wrong uh am i um my my tubes grew back are you and uh they they want me to come back but i i can't what do you mean i'm pregnant I mean, you're crazy, guys. Well, what are you laughing about? This is not funny. It is a nervous laughter, Mom. You can barely survive for the ones you got. How are you going to take down four? i can't believe the tube just threw back like that's crazy well it happens all the time mom there's plenty of people who get pregnant after they get their tubes tied well where do you think you're gonna live with four kids what's your plan mom what so so you know how um how we like to to the radio all the time.

00:36:23 - 00:36:28 | Speaker 5:

Mom. What? It's mojo in the morning.

00:36:28 - 00:36:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Desiree, really seriously?

00:36:31 - 00:36:38 | Speaker 2:

Sounds like you got your hands full with this girl. Yeah, I do.

00:36:38 - 00:36:52 | Speaker 4:

And I don't even think this is funny, you little . I love you guys. I'm going to kill you when I get out of work, Desiree. No, I'll be in Jackson as soon as I can.

00:36:52 - 00:36:59 | Speaker 5:

By the way, Desiree's, like, uncomfortable laughter made me feel so nervous.

00:36:59 - 00:37:01 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to kill you, too.

00:37:01 - 00:37:02 | Speaker 5:

Right.

00:37:02 - 00:37:10 | Speaker 2:

Because that's the exact moment we figured out. This girl maybe needs an ass whooping or something. No, she needs her tubes tied.

00:37:11 - 00:37:16 | Speaker 1:

You got that f***ing with her. I'm not going to lie. Mom scared me. Yeah.

00:37:18 - 00:37:20 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God, you guys. Okay.

00:37:21 - 00:37:24 | Speaker 5:

Mom, she just won you a prize for five lies to tell your mom.

00:37:30 - 00:37:38 | Speaker 4:

You're welcome. Oh, you guys are great. You did make my day. Thank you.

00:37:38 - 00:37:44 | Speaker 5:

Mom, we're going to set you up with the prize. Hold on. I'm going to do Desiree. Mom, we're going to set you up with the prize.

00:37:44 - 00:37:55 | Speaker 4:

00:38:14 - 00:39:11 | Speaker 5:

Welcome to the Morning Show. This might be the next Spike doing phone scams. This kid. We've got to find out what his future holds for him. He's only six years old. Kid's a Macomb County kid. His name is Mason. And after Mason did what he did on his dad's phone, I think that dad's going to put a phone lock on there. This kid's never going to be able to play a game ever again on this thing. I'm going to play you this story. This is our friends over at Local 4 WDIV in Detroit. And, oh, Kim DiGiulio. I love Kim DiGiulio, doing the report on Mason and his $1,000 Grubhub orders.

00:39:11 - 00:39:22 | Speaker 1:

It was around 9 p.m. on Saturday night when a couple from Chesterfield received an order from Oconee Island on their doorstep. Then a few minutes after that, another order. Then another.

00:39:22 - 00:39:26 | Speaker 5:

By the way, this sounds to me like the greatest day ever.

00:39:27 - 00:39:32 | Speaker 1:

I was going to say, this is my dream Saturday night. That's when they realized something wasn't right.

00:39:32 - 00:39:42 | Speaker 3:

And time after time again, and it's piles and bags of food, and what is going on? And they're dropping them off at the door, so I'm not communicating with the drivers.

00:39:43 - 00:39:51 | Speaker 1:

Keith and Kristen Stonehouse had no idea who could have ordered all of this food until Keith eventually stopped one of the Grubhub drivers.

00:39:51 - 00:39:58 | Speaker 3:

And I said, what is going on? Why are you bringing me food? He said, I don't know. You ordered from the Shorma place. No.

00:40:00 - 00:40:06 | Speaker 1:

That's when it clicked. He let his six-year-old son, Mason, play with his phone before his bedtime.

00:40:06 - 00:40:18 | Speaker 4:

I think I left the app open, and he saw that when he was playing with my phone and just started going to town. He ordered multiple orders, chili cheese fries, the chicken pita wraps. He ordered multiple orders of that.

00:40:18 - 00:40:25 | Speaker 5:

By the way, I've got to ask this question when the mom's on with us here in a second, the mom and dad. I wonder if he put in the comment section things.

00:40:25 - 00:40:34 | Speaker 4:

like you know hold the salt or orders of ice cream pizza nearly one thousand dollars worth

00:40:34 - 00:40:39 | Speaker 1:

of food was ordered thankfully their bank stopped some of it and then i get an alert on my phone

00:40:39 - 00:40:45 | Speaker 4:

my card has been declined for fraud from a pizza place for four hundred and thirty nine dollars

00:40:45 - 00:40:55 | Speaker 1:

he said he had to take some deep breaths before going to talk to mason about what he did trying to find a way to explain to him that this food costs money.

00:40:56 - 00:41:07 | Speaker 4:

We grabbed his piggy bank and showed him all this money that comes out from the piggy bank one by one. That was this, that was this bag of food, that was this, and you could see his face, you know.

00:41:08 - 00:41:16 | Speaker 2:

I think it sunk in when we were actually taking his money to try to pay back some of it, just as like a lesson. I'm like, I know what this money in your piggy bank means to you.

00:41:16 - 00:41:29 | Speaker 5:

Oh my God, this is the most amazing story. Let me just get right to this. And thank you, by the way, Local 4 for that. That was a good report by Kim DiGiulio. On the phone with us, do we have just mom on with us, Kristen Stonehouse, or is dad Keith also on the phone, too?

00:41:30 - 00:41:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. No, it's just mom.

00:41:31 - 00:41:37 | Speaker 5:

Just mom. That's all right. You know what, mom? You had to probably do some deep breathing, didn't you, when all this was going on?

00:41:39 - 00:41:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Actually, I didn't find out about any of it until I got home, which was after the dust had kind of settled a little bit.

00:41:46 - 00:42:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Okay. So, dad. Now, I know how I am as a dad. chelsea is the one that my wife always is the one that talks me off the ledge and things uh was uh was your husband supposed to be talked off the ledge was uh keith uh still a little

00:42:01 - 00:43:06 | Speaker 3:

upset i mean yeah he was i had come home from a movie night with a friend of mine and he was kind of uh like where's your cell phone did you lose it i was like um no what why he goes well the ring doorbell kept going off and i kept calling you i said oh i thought it was mason because i did get a phone call from him um as the movie was starting and then i answered it and was like i'm in the movie i can't talk right now so i hung up and then the phone kept ringing and ringing and ringing and i just ignored it he's like well i was trying to call you i go oh i'm sorry yeah and then he explained to me everything that happened i was like uh okay um and then at that point because i hadn't eaten dinner yet i was like so where's the shrimp i love it i was gonna say a little bit has got to be kind of nice to come home after a girl's night and have some snacks uh yeah okay i mean at that point it was almost 10 o'clock i was starving i was a little hangry i'm like okay

00:43:06 - 00:43:34 | Speaker 5:

i don't even care just where's the where's the face so kristen i have so many questions about this um first off the video is hysterical you can see it up on our story on instagram mojo in the morning uh but you see your grub your uh ring cam and one after another after another these door or grubhub drivers are coming to the house did did mason tip appropriately i'm sorry did he what did he tip appropriately like what's he tip

00:43:34 - 00:43:49 | Speaker 3:

yeah so apparently the grubhub app has a feature where it automatically tips 25 percent if you don't change it oh he's a big spender driver 25 oh my god you kept your economy going i feel like

00:43:49 - 00:44:10 | Speaker 6:

this is a good thing so it's wild because at one point i think uh the bank actually sent you guys a fraud alert for one you know four hundred dollars worth of pizza or whatever but that wasn't enough for grubhub to flag it and say maybe somebody shouldn't be doing all these different orders because they just let the food keep coming yeah yeah i don't think because it's

00:44:10 - 00:44:16 | Speaker 3:

not monitored by an actual person it's just an app so yeah yeah yeah that's some logistics that

00:44:16 - 00:44:28 | Speaker 6:

maybe need to be worked out well you know that's true because kristin i was thinking like well they should notice if you're ordering from 20 different restaurants in an hour and all that food's gone but then i was thinking there's probably nights mojo's done that oh i have

00:44:28 - 00:44:34 | Speaker 5:

our friend jody and i one time did taco bell mcdonald's and culver's all in the same night

00:44:34 - 00:44:35 | Speaker 3:

Hell yeah.

00:44:37 - 00:44:52 | Speaker 5:

Kristen, Mason, you know, goes and orders a bunch of different things, including shawarma, pizza, Leo, stuff like that. Are these foods that you guys eat at home? Like, did he order from places that he likes and he enjoys? Because he's got amazing taste.

00:44:53 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, they are restaurants that we normally frequent in person. Okay. We actually haven't really ordered off of them.

00:45:00 - 00:45:03 | Speaker 2:

Grubhub since COVID, so I don't even know why my husband has the app

00:45:03 - 00:45:10 | Speaker 6:

on his floor anymore. Oh, but the kids will find it. They'll swipe three pages deep and find an app you didn't know you still had.

00:45:10 - 00:45:23 | Speaker 5:

Because the funny thing is, if I could get a hold of my dad's Grubhub account, everything would be milkshakes. It would be candy, pizza. If I'm six years old, that's what I'm ordering. The kid's ordering shawarma.

00:45:25 - 00:45:34 | Speaker 2:

He's a pretty avid reader. He started reading fiction novels like harry potter since the age of three so he he knew exactly what he was ordering

00:45:34 - 00:45:41 | Speaker 5:

so he could read wow that's crazy all right so uh so mason did he get punished for this or what

00:45:41 - 00:46:09 | Speaker 2:

did you guys do yes so we took away all technology um from dad um yeah but no we took away his tablet um my husband actually did take his piggy bank and made him pay back some of it um it's funny because he had 115 in there and then literally maybe 20 minutes after my husband took away he took away his money he found a penny on the floor he's like look i have a penny and you put it in his piggy bank

00:46:09 - 00:46:39 | Speaker 5:

i feel like grubhub needs to get a hold of this thing and grubhub needs to like make this a super bowl commercial you know right this is the greatest start or we need to start a go fund me account to help this kid out. Hold on one second. We've got the caller back. I just connected with her. Call Kristen back because I wanted to take some calls. Tyler, are you there? I'm here. Call mom back, KP. I hung up on accident. What's happening, Tyler?

00:46:40 - 00:47:43 | Speaker 3:

Hey, I had a fast food nightmare. Me and a couple buddies were sitting in his basement watching football and I decided to get on the Hungry Howie's app and order a pizza. Nothing out of the normal. did everything on the app ordered um went to process payment pushed you know accept or go or whatever and then it something popped up said unable to process so i redid it again pushed accept again uh same thing popped up unable to process so i was like all right this is weird so i did it like five more times well then i just had this weird gut feeling i checked my bank account and they checked and there was like 275 dollars worth of pizza ordered oh my gosh wow yeah so i immediately called my wife and was like i didn't do this i didn't do this i called hungry howie's and i freaked out and they were like we don't have one of these orders pizza we don't have one order from you huh so we don't yeah that's interesting that has nothing

00:47:43 - 00:47:48 | Speaker 5:

to do with our story but thank you so much i don't know why you're even on hold but i'll tell Kristen's back with us. Mom's back with us.

00:47:48 - 00:48:13 | Speaker 6:

The problem is that now these apps look like games, and it's so easy to get sucked in thinking, especially for little kids pushing buttons, it just looks fun. And I remember last year we did a story about a little two-year-old who ordered 31 cheeseburgers from DoorDash. Oh, yeah. And it just seems like now everything blends from useful apps to game and entertainment, so I could see where the kids would just keep hitting buttons, not realizing it's costing money.

00:48:13 - 00:48:20 | Speaker 5:

Kristen, listen to John's story here. As a dad, he had a similar situation happen to him. What did, John, what did your son do?

00:48:21 - 00:48:56 | Speaker 1:

So I was at the Michigan State football game. My son FaceTimed me, and he says, hey, Dad, can I get 400 Robux? And I was like, you're at Mom's house. You got to ask Mom. He's like, oh, okay, bet. So I go back. I enjoy the game. I wake up at 10 o'clock the next morning to 122 emails. So I start adding everything up. He bought $3,500 of Robux. Wow. Wow. Yeah. So I called his mom. I was like, yeah, take Kyle's iPad away, like, ASAP.

00:48:56 - 00:49:05 | Speaker 5:

Right. That's crazy. It can happen. These kids, man. Got it. But no chicken shawarma in that order.

00:49:06 - 00:49:15 | Speaker 4:

You're right, though. How great would it be to take that entire order and make it into, like, a Super Bowl commercial or a Super Bowl party? with just that food that she ordered. That would be great.

00:49:16 - 00:49:26 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. If they contact you, will you please get back to us? Because I want to know. Because they would be the smartest marketers ever. They're based in Chicago, so I'm sure that they've got to be hearing about this story, right?

00:49:27 - 00:49:38 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. My husband did get a call from them last night. And apparently they have an appointment to have another phone call today. Okay.

00:49:38 - 00:49:38 | Speaker 5:

Interesting.

00:49:38 - 00:49:39 | Speaker 2:

We'll find out.

00:49:39 - 00:49:47 | Speaker 5:

Is it the same type of call I get Where the person's like the same person That calls from the cable company And just kind of you don't have any idea What's going on

00:49:47 - 00:49:56 | Speaker 2:

No it was the CEO that called Oh my gosh Oh that's good That's good news

00:49:56 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 6:

Because your story just started circulating Late last night

00:50:00 - 00:50:09 | Speaker 5:

So I bet you they got it, and they were like, hmm. Plus, Mason is the cutest kid ever. You see the picture that's been circulating of him? Go to our Instagram and you can see it.

00:50:10 - 00:50:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, he's a ham, and he loves to be in front of people, too. We actually do a lot of theater. It's a family, my boys and I. And, yeah, he would definitely do a commercial or ad or something.

00:50:23 - 00:50:41 | Speaker 5:

You know what's amazing about this? My wife just picked this up. She said, this is exactly what happens when a mom tries to go on a girls' night and leaves dad home with her. It's so true. My kids have had to go to the emergency room when mom has been out on girls' nights.

00:50:42 - 00:50:46 | Speaker 4:

Actually, yes. Us, too, because he has epilepsy.

00:50:47 - 00:50:47 | Speaker 5:

Oh, geez.

00:50:47 - 00:50:54 | Speaker 4:

And sometimes I've gone out on girls' nights and he's had seizures. And I've had to come home early and go to the emergency room.

00:50:54 - 00:50:55 | Speaker 5:

Wow.

00:50:55 - 00:50:58 | Speaker 4:

No stranger to that. Not a good thing, but.

00:50:58 - 00:51:04 | Speaker 5:

Kristen, tell Mason and tell Dad that we said thank you for a funny laugh story today. It was a good story.

00:51:05 - 00:51:05 | Speaker 4:

Will do.

00:51:06 - 00:51:12 | Speaker 5:

Take care of yourself. Great job on the radio with us. Thank you. What's going on, Kim? Yes. Hi.

00:51:13 - 00:51:30 | Speaker 3:

Hello. Friday night, my friend and I went out to dinner. Her son was left at home with a babysitter and got onto TikTok where there was somebody opening up baseball cards for you. and he bought $400 worth of baseball cards that are unreturnable. No.

00:51:30 - 00:51:41 | Speaker 5:

That's like a big thing now where the baseball card industry is so crazy, but they'll go on social media and you just watch these guys opening cards and you can buy them there. So that's what happened on Mom's Girls Night, huh?

00:51:42 - 00:51:47 | Speaker 3:

That's what happened. Even though the babysitter was watching him do it, she didn't know.

00:51:48 - 00:51:49 | Speaker 5:

Thanks for the call.

00:51:49 - 00:51:50 | Speaker 3:

Thanks.

00:51:51 - 00:52:01 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Megan in for Shannon again this morning. She's getting better, so she'll be back here soon. But what's going on? Oh, you're getting better at the dirty, too.

00:52:01 - 00:52:04 | Speaker 2:

I was like, wow. That's okay.

00:52:04 - 00:52:11 | Speaker 5:

That did come out a little bit kind of wrong. But you are getting better. Every day is a much more fun day. Thank you.

00:52:12 - 00:53:44 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so you know how I told you yesterday that Alec Baldwin would officially be charged with involuntary manslaughter? Well, now we're getting more information from that investigation. So the DA has a list of all the safety lapses that happened on the set of Rust. And the DA is saying that Alec knew that the armorer should have been present while filming to check the gun to make sure it was safe. But instead, he relied on the assistant director, which he didn't even have the authority to clear the gun for use on set. Also, the DA is claiming that Alec was supposed to take a firearms training, but he didn't. Now, he was supposed to get a minimum training of only 30 minutes. But apparently he was on his cell for the majority of that 30 minutes. And through interviews Alex was doing, I'm sorry, those interviews that Alex was doing, they really bit him in the booty. Why? Because he was claiming that he didn't fire the weapon. But the FBI and prosecutors are saying that isn't true. There are photos and videos that clearly show him with his finger on the trigger. As for Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the armor on the set, she should have never been hired. she didn't have the certifications or the experience for the gig. Plus, even if Alec didn't take the training that was required on this film, he's been in 40 films, which guns were an important part, so he should have known all of the protocols if convicted. They're both facing up to five years. Now, Alec is suing for crew members, claiming that they failed to adequately provide safety on the set, but again, he's the executive producer on the film. He's kind of in charge of who was hired for that, so it still kind of falls on his shoulders.

00:53:44 - 00:53:47 | Speaker 5:

What does Hilaria think about this? Do we know?

00:53:48 - 00:54:02 | Speaker 1:

Escort them to school and to be there when they come home is not good. So on a human level, you guys know I'm not going to say anything to you. You know that. So please leave my family in peace.

00:54:03 - 00:54:03 | Speaker 5:

There you go.

00:54:04 - 00:54:05 | Speaker 1:

She had the accent that time.

00:54:05 - 00:54:06 | Speaker 5:

She did.

00:54:06 - 00:54:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. It's a fun game we like to play. Will there or won't there be? Jeffrey Starr claims that he exposed an insecure NFL wife, referring specifically to Saren Anderson, the wife of Carolina Panthers defensive end Henry Anderson, because fans are trying to identify Jeffrey Starr's mystery NFL boo. Saren allegedly messaged Jeffrey on Instagram, asking him to stop sharing pictures and clues about his new football playing boyfriend because people think that it's her husband. Help me out here, Mojo. Carl Nassib, is that right? Carl Nassib, yeah. Yeah, Bunkadiers is the only openly gay player in the... No, that's not true.

00:54:42 - 00:54:54 | Speaker 5:

He's the first active. First active. Sorry, thank you. Which, I gotta tell you that I think that maybe our question... How was our question worded in the 5 of 6.55? We didn't say active, so... So we might have to bring back our... Yeah.

00:54:55 - 00:54:55 | Speaker 2:

A little redo?

00:54:55 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, we might have to. There's been trailblazers before him that didn't really get...

00:55:00 - 00:55:06 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Michael Sam was the first, and he just kept getting traded around and never really had a career, moved on to the CFL.

00:55:06 - 00:56:08 | Speaker 1:

Well, Carl recently went public with his boyfriend, Danish Olympic swimmer Soren Dahl, so fans are guessing that Henry Anderson is the man standing with his back turned to the camera in a photo that Jeffree Star posted on Monday because he fits the description of a 6'6 NFL player whose team didn't make it to the Super Bowl. You know, because there's not many 6'6 guys in the NFL that didn't make it to the Super Bowl. Whatever, I'm just saying. So she reached out to Jeffree Star and said, I'm getting harassed because my husband is in the NFL and people think it's him. Please stop. Instead of keeping this private, Jeffree Star decided to share those screen grabs on his profiles with a kissy face emoji saying, oh, my God, now the NFL wives are coming after me. Girl, don't be so insecure. I don't mess with married men. She decided to make her Instagram private on Tuesday because all of Jeffree's followers started attacking her. And then he went on Instagram to say, people want to play with fire. And then when you light the match with them, they disappear. Miss Thing decided to delete her social media. I'm like, girl, don't be insecure about your marriage. All the while, Jeffrey is just trying, he's begging to get your attention, no matter if it's good or bad. He's driving me nuts recently.

00:56:08 - 00:56:09 | Speaker 2:

A little cyber bullying there.

00:56:10 - 00:56:28 | Speaker 1:

Giselle Bunchen is set to break her silence on her split from Tom Brady and Vanity Fair. And I want to talk a little bit about this because it's going to be the cover story. It's the first time she's talking about her divorce. They finalized their divorce back in October. Yada, yada, yada. I don't care about that. I want to know, is this supposed to distract us from the lawsuit that you are proud of over that cryptocurrency.

00:56:29 - 00:56:30 | Speaker 2:

You keep saying that.

00:56:30 - 00:56:32 | Speaker 1:

It seems suspicious, you guys.

00:56:32 - 00:56:44 | Speaker 2:

By the way, first off, none of the celebrities seem to be even brought into it yet. It's all just been that goofy guy with the bad hair, the kid that started that cryptocurrency thing.

00:56:44 - 00:57:50 | Speaker 1:

Well, here's why I bring it up. Because remember how I said the other day that those photos that came out about Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis hugging in the parking lot, and then I called them out for calling the paparazzi on themselves to try to bury a story that is probably going to come out. Well, now we know what that story actually is. Olivia and Jason are fighting over custody and child support payments. Jason Stegas has made it clear that he doesn't want child support. I think that's a move on his part to say that he doesn't need her money. But he's also offered to give her child support saying, I got money. But he wants a New York court to resolve their issues, even though a New York judge has already ruled that this was an L.A. issue. It needed to go to L.A. So apparently they kind of posed these paparazzi photos. I think there was a blow-up that was going to be leaked between the two of them fighting. They were trying to get ahead of it. But then speaking of good press, remember we also talked about Ben Affleck and how he was pretty under the influence at J-Lo's movie premiere, even on the red carpet and on the dance floor at the after party. Guess whose camp just leaked a positive story about Ben Affleck? What's trending this morning? Ben Affleck, buddy-buddy with ex-Jennifer Garner's boyfriend, trying to paint him as the good guy in the most ridiculous fluff piece ever.

00:57:50 - 00:57:54 | Speaker 2:

Do you believe that this is their way of trying to cover up?

00:57:54 - 00:58:01 | Speaker 1:

He was under the influence and probably relapsed back on the red carpet with J-Lo because that's all we were talking about.

00:58:02 - 00:58:04 | Speaker 2:

Can we get some of those people to work for us?

00:58:06 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 1:

I just think it's suspicious. Keep your eyes peeled for positive stories. We also had clearly sent, like, Kylie Jenner was all over the internet yesterday because she was caught on a beach. I think she was in, like, Turks and Caicos or something. and it was like paparazzi catch Kylie. She was posed in the ocean, posed holding this designer bag. I was like

00:58:27 - 00:58:29 | Speaker 2:

babe. She had her bag in the

00:58:29 - 00:58:37 | Speaker 1:

ocean with her? No, she was walking but it was all like, it was clearly staged. They were all clearly edited and staged and like flat. Who actually brings

00:58:37 - 00:58:39 | Speaker 2:

their designer bag to the beach?

00:58:39 - 00:58:53 | Speaker 1:

When you need to make that money, you bring it with you because you need to get it in the tablets but I just immediately started thinking what's the Travis story that's about to come out, what's the whatever. Keep your eyes peeled when these flattering pieces come out because it's usually trying to cover up something

00:58:53 - 00:58:59 | Speaker 2:

bad. I kind of like how you do this. Megan actually doesn't just do the dirty. She actually explains how the dirty

00:58:59 - 00:59:13 | Speaker 1:

gets started. Keep your eyes peeled, man. I like it. Keep your eyes peeled. Check out all of today's dirty by going to the Dirty page at mojointhemorning.com. Get the stories you'll talk about all day on Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. And another phone scan in minutes.

00:59:17 - 00:59:22 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning Hello Nicole

Thank you so much. much that's a good song nailed it mojo in the morning show phone number 844 mojo live text is 95500 we are your home of the phone scams you'll hear a phone scam coming up 650 750 and 950 i got dirty yes i do i got dirty how about you i don't know by the way i am so slap happy today but i've not done any drugs i haven't done anything i had a good night's sleep like i slept you know i went to bed like at 8 45 last night oh good for you i know i'm sorry i know but you know what though it's usually it makes me more tired but it's kind of making me slap happy today um so i got dirty about somebody i know and i wanted to bring this up because i think this could be a good topic i want to hear the stories of the parents who cut off the kids so the parents who had to cut their kids off we talked yesterday in trending news about how i think it's like one in five uh gen xers are uh right now living in a place that their parents are paying for like their parents are paying for their rent and paying for their mortgage or whatever so i heard a rumor of somebody that i know who just got cut off by his dad and by the way i'm not talking about prince harry megan so i just want you to know that and when i heard this story i was like wow that's going to change his life because his lifestyle is very very you know nice lifestyle but i wanted to ask this question to our listeners have your parents ever cut you off or are you a parent that has ever cut off or i'm assuming we don't have the parents that listen to us it might be the kid that got cut off um or did like a sibling or somebody get cut off because it's wild because i you know i i will be honest chelsea and i you know we've uh taken care of our kids education and then have helped them out like when they first you know got like when joe got out of uh columbia college in school and he was starting to work in radio he lived with us and he got to live rent free we didn't charge them rent like we weren't you know although I wanted to so bad

01:02:20 - 01:03:14 | Speaker 2:

like I wanted to make them sign a lease like I was actually like I want a lease and I want a security deposit on it I'm going back into your room and Chelsea's like no we're not going to do that your dad wouldn't have done that to you and I'm like my dad did he kicked me out of the house when I was 16 right so what are you talking about but um but I know I have I have a multiple friends and maybe it just be like it might just be like a cultural thing like in the area you know stuff that I live in I have multiple friends who they work for their dad or their dad somehow is kind of like their their financial like they took on dad's business and I think to myself often like oh my god that life would be either incredibly awesome because their dads have paved a great way for them or it would be highly stressful because your dad has the you know the the whole puppet strings on you you know what i mean like your dad controls you like for the rest of your

01:03:14 - 01:03:34 | Speaker 1:

life i feel like it's a grass is always greener situation like don't get me wrong i would have loved if my dad paved the way you know financially and i could just do whatever i want i also don't know that i would want to do what he does you know what i mean yeah if i like he was an electrician so like if he started his own business and was like i you know i want you to follow in my footsteps

01:03:34 - 01:04:45 | Speaker 2:

so i don't want to be an electrician yeah i don't know that i would want to do that no that's actually a really good point my dad was a doctor i could not have been that because mike i was not smart enough i'd do the want to though at one point no not at all i never wanted to do it but i almost went you know i went into media um or went into communications at in college and my dad did mention to me because my dad honestly was very pro you're going to do great in radio but he also was like you got to be realistic that you potentially may not get a job so my dad was kind of in the background trying to work it that i could do something like where i'd be like working pr at the hospital that he worked at or you know do something that way um you know but uh and luckily i've never had to do that but i see some of these uh guys uh in his a lot of male friends of mine whose dads like they still work for and they have to go show up and you know their dads get mad at them for things and stuff like that i'm like i don't know if i want that but um but i want to know who got cut off because the cutoff stories are amazing like when you hear all of a sudden it's like your parents are no longer gonna you know and this could happen to you when you're still in school where your parents aren't gonna pay for your schooling and yet you they kind of said that

01:04:45 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 1:

they would were going to what's up maria hi um i am 23 and um i graduated um college from bgsu um august 20 2021 and i

01:05:00 - 01:05:06 | Speaker 4:

I have already been kicked off my parents' insurance. I pay for my car. I pay for my rent. I pay for everything on my own.

01:05:06 - 01:05:17 | Speaker 2:

But when you say kicked off your parents' insurance, did they do that and say, you're out of, we're not going to pay for this thing anymore? Or did they just, did the time lapse where you had to go get your own?

01:05:18 - 01:05:39 | Speaker 4:

Well, actually, when I was still on their insurance, they were making me Venmo them for the insurance payment. So I was technically still paying for my insurance. And then they moved to California, so the insurance was different in the state of California versus here in Ohio. So now I'm on my works insurance, so I pay for that.

01:05:39 - 01:06:04 | Speaker 2:

Because I will say this. You can tell that Chelsea is the more compassionate one in my family. I thought about that with Joe, too, where I thought, oh, I'm going to take him off the insurance. But when I looked at it, to have him still on the family insurance until he turned, I think it was 26 maybe or something. I don't even know what the age was. But it was not affecting my price anyway because I still had two other boys that were on it. So I kept him on it, keeping him from having to pay for it.

01:06:04 - 01:06:19 | Speaker 5:

Well, I've seen a lot of my friends who are working essentially full-time hours. I think a lot of businesses do that. We're going to give you a half hour, one hour short of full-time so we don't have to give you benefits. And then they're kicked off their parents' insurance, and they don't get insurance from their job. It's like this lose-lose situation.

01:06:20 - 01:06:24 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Sarah? Your voice disguise and obviously have an alias. What's going on?

01:06:24 - 01:06:59 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Hi. So what you were saying, Mojo, about going into communications and stuff, my dad was very against that when I decided I wanted to do that. So what you were saying about, like, you know, kicking your kids out and stuff, it wasn't necessarily like that on my end, but it was more of like I would get second-guessed about, like, what I wanted to do. So I took it upon myself, and I dropped out of school for a little bit, and I worked full-time. And I decided that, like, you know, this is my time to do something that I want to do.

01:06:59 - 01:07:02 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. That's tough, isn't it, when you get second-guessed?

01:07:03 - 01:07:16 | Speaker 1:

It is, but I can tell you that it's probably the proudest thing that I've done is, like, put my foot down. And, like, actually, I'm doing recreational therapy, which, like, he, like, was like, okay.

01:07:16 - 01:07:19 | Speaker 2:

So dad wasn't very supportive of that?

01:07:20 - 01:07:25 | Speaker 1:

Not like a ton, but it was something that I knew that would make me happy and it would fit me.

01:07:26 - 01:07:59 | Speaker 2:

I will say this. I know sometimes I'll say a negative thing about my dad, but my dad was actually a great dad. And one of the greatest things that my dad ever told me, and I think that you should know this if you're somebody that's looking for an occupation or a profession to work in. my dad told me that when you wake up in the morning every day that you wake up and go to work should not feel like work and if it doesn't feel like work then you're in the right profession and that was honestly the greatest advice that anybody could have ever given me because that's

01:07:59 - 01:08:14 | Speaker 1:

true with this my my job right now that's exactly how i feel i work with seniors um like almost every day and i love it so much so like i come to work with the big smile on my face and i i love

01:08:14 - 01:08:29 | Speaker 2:

my job so much good for you i'm hey you know what as a dad uh i'm proud of you spike are you proud of her i am very proud megan are you proud of her i'm not proud of anybody including myself no mike's proud of you i know he's proud of you i'm kidding i'm kidding i'm kidding

01:08:29 - 01:08:42 | Speaker 1:

yeah i will say though that i loved your comments yesterday on the um segment that you guys were talking about um having like bigger breasts i thought that was so funny like i do too and i'm

01:08:42 - 01:08:49 | Speaker 5:

like yes girl see now i'm not proud of your your job and your financial choices but i am proud of

01:08:49 - 01:08:58 | Speaker 2:

your big boobs thanks for the call sarah what's up caitlin we're talking about when your parents

01:08:58 - 01:09:32 | Speaker 3:

cut you off uh yeah hi mojo um i so the very first day i turned 16 um the first thing my mom said to me that morning was like oh now you have to get a job and i was like what i was like you can't say happy birthday first and she's like well if you want something in life you have to pay for it yourself and i was like okay can i ask you do you have a close relationship with them still um with my mom i do still now um but through my teen years i could tell you i absolutely

01:09:32 - 01:09:48 | Speaker 5:

hated my mom that is so tough i don't understand parents that do like look i had a job at 16 too i get it like the expectations are there but it's the attitude about it from our parents that was always just crazy could have been a little bit nicer while making your demands uh but you were

01:09:48 - 01:09:52 | Speaker 2:

still living under the roof and taking you know getting fed by them i also think there's a

01:09:52 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 5:

compassion and and yeah you can be nice about it you can have expectations and requirements and and not be megan the world

01:10:00 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 2:

The world isn't nice.

01:10:01 - 01:10:09 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I know. Why do you think I'm so upset all the time? It will bite you up and spit you out. Out of anybody on this show who come for Eats, I know these hard facts about reality.

01:10:10 - 01:10:24 | Speaker 1:

My dad always said that. The world isn't nice. I'm like, well, that's why I'm hoping this one little home I come home to for just a few hours maybe could give me a break from that cruel, cruel world. You horrible man. I love my dad, too.

01:10:26 - 01:10:31 | Speaker 2:

We're talking about this right now. And poor Lily, she just got cut off by her parents. Oh, no.

01:10:34 - 01:10:35 | Speaker 5:

Good morning.

01:10:35 - 01:10:38 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Lily. What did they cut you off? What did they do?

01:10:39 - 01:11:20 | Speaker 5:

Well, I'm 34 years old, and I have the same pickup truck I've had for about 16 years now because I have a work car, too. And my employer pays for that, insures it, whatever. My mom just realized last week that she's been insuring my car this entire time. my dad owns a pretty big company and there's probably over a hundred trucks on the insurance policy. And she got the registration sent to the house and she's like, are you kidding me? You never stepped up and said that you were going to insure the car. I was like, God, no, that is so expensive. I was waiting for this day. She's like, you're 34. I want your children. You have babies.

01:11:21 - 01:11:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh my gosh. And it is expensive. Insurance sucks, doesn't it? It's crazy.

01:11:27 - 01:11:33 | Speaker 5:

It does. I had to go get a quote, and it's an old truck, and it sucks. Yeah, I think it's really good.

01:11:34 - 01:11:41 | Speaker 2:

Scam in a second. Riley, though, wants to get some advice. Riley, you're 15 years old, and what are your parents doing?

01:11:41 - 01:12:14 | Speaker 4:

Well, I'm not 15 anymore. Oh, okay. When I was 15, my dad was said to get a job. Get a job right now. And I was like, I don't have a car, nor a license, nor will anybody hire me at the age of 15. but yeah he wanted me to get a job and then when i turned 16 it was either cheerleading um camp or my license so i chose cheer camp and then got my license when i was 17 so he ended up taking me to work at burger king when i was 16 um i kind of worked there for three years so i felt like i

01:12:14 - 01:12:19 | Speaker 2:

grew up a little too early that's for sure yeah because they started so fast for with you huh

01:12:19 - 01:12:26 | Speaker 4:

yeah other than that my dad's great though and my parents are both wonderful so hey let's that i Let's feel like I grew up too fast.

01:12:26 - 01:12:29 | Speaker 2:

Let's turn that frown upside down. Are you ready?

01:12:30 - 01:12:38 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Whopper, whopper, whopper, whopper. Junior double, triple whopper. Plain grill taste with perfect top. You and Spike share the same thing.

01:12:38 - 01:12:41 | Speaker 2:

You guys both worked at Burger King when you were 15 years old.

01:12:42 - 01:12:43 | Speaker 1:

I still smell it in my clothes.

01:12:44 - 01:12:46 | Speaker 3:

It's lovely, isn't it?

01:12:46 - 01:13:10 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Mojo in the morning. Melissa says that her husband has been disrespectful about how much money that she spends on her hobby. She wants us to call David and make him think that she is being arrested. Spike is going to spoof her cell phone so that it looks like that she's calling him from her number to do this phone scam this morning.

01:13:13 - 01:13:27 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning. Your home of the world's famous phone scams. Hello, Dave. Hello, yourself. I'm looking for David, please. Do you know a Mrs. Melissa c***y?

01:13:28 - 01:13:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, what you doing with her phone?

01:13:30 - 01:13:38 | Speaker 1:

My name is Aubrey Graham, and I'm the assistant manager at J*** Fabrics over on Hall Road. We have your wife here in the back room with us right now.

01:13:39 - 01:13:40 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

01:13:41 - 01:13:44 | Speaker 1:

Well, you tell me. We caught Melissa shoplifting.

01:13:45 - 01:13:46 | Speaker 3:

What?

01:13:46 - 01:13:48 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, police are talking to her now.

01:13:48 - 01:13:49 | Speaker 3:

Stop, stop, stop. Wait, wait, where are you at?

01:13:49 - 01:13:59 | Speaker 1:

In the back room at our store, and police are talking to her now. but she asked me to call you and give you the info because she wants you to meet her down at the police station. They're going to be taking her in.

01:14:00 - 01:14:02 | Speaker 5:

Hold on. No, you got the wrong person.

01:14:02 - 01:14:20 | Speaker 1:

I'm serious. One of our employees witnessed her put some yarn in her coat, and that was reported to our loss. Some yarn? Yeah. Why was she pushing you? Sir, she was reported to our loss prevention officer who was waiting for her to exit the store, at which time he stopped her and found she had all kinds of knitting supplies in her coat.

01:14:20 - 01:14:21 | Speaker 3:

Let me talk to her.

01:14:22 - 01:14:49 | Speaker 1:

Well, I can't let you talk to her. she's discussing with the police. Melissa asked me to dial your contact and let you know she's going to be taken down to the police station. Okay, give me the address. I'm coming down there now. You might want to contact a lawyer, too, because I got to tell you, she had a... A lawyer for a shoplifting yarn? First of all, I know she didn't even do that. It wasn't just yarn, sir. Well, sir, she had also stuffed a Needlemaster interchangeable needle system up her sleeve. That's priced at almost $180.

01:14:50 - 01:14:50 | Speaker 5:

A what?

01:14:50 - 01:14:51 | Speaker 1:

I know.

01:14:51 - 01:14:53 | Speaker 5:

What are you even talking about right now?

01:14:53 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 1:

That's what I'm saying. She was clear as day smuggling crochet and knitting supplies by the pound. Sounds like they're going to take her down.

01:15:00 - 01:16:04 | Speaker 2:

That is a lie. She would never do nothing like that. She's one of our best customers. I'm always joking that she puts too much on the visa. Well, sir, maybe you're pressuring her too much there and your jokes are being taken seriously. Maybe she didn't want to spend any more money. This whole thing is a joke. Are things okay at home? What are you talking about? She doesn't have a history of stealing, does she? No, you're being disrespectful. Just tell me where you're at right now. I'm in Clinton Township. My name's Aubrey Pisces, and the crazies come out every winter when we have our Yarnormous sale. Everybody's coming around getting all the yarn, but I got to say, we got to watch for those shoplifters. Hold on, sir. Hang on. She's removing her sweater. Ma'am, you can't take your clothes off in the store. Are you f***ing me right now? She said you're actually on the Mojo and the Morning Show right now. You've just been phone scammed. Oh, man. David, she set you up. Man, y'all really had me tight. I was about to come down there, I promise you. I know, that's why I wanted to end this thing. Wow. Is that what we're doing, babe?

01:16:07 - 01:16:11 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you.

01:16:13 - 01:16:16 | Speaker 2:

You're home with the world-famous phone scams. Mojo in the Morning.

01:16:18 - 01:16:27 | Speaker 1:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning. Oh, Mojo, he's, he's amazing.

01:16:27 - 01:16:29 | Unknown:

One time!

01:16:29 - 01:18:41 | Speaker 1:

One time! Make some noise! Make some noise! Make some noise! For Mojo, Mike, Shannon, for Mojo in the morning! Why can't I have a moment to myself? I was just coming back from the bathroom. I apologize. Mike, I know you're listening and you're going, why is that show intro just playing nonstop there for a second while I had to go to the bathroom? You enjoy yourself. Enjoy your time. Thank you. I appreciate it. We need that duty drop. Duty. Well, it was not a duty. It was number one, but I was, you know, trying to take a little bit. Duty! There you go. There you go. I was trying to take a little bit of time. Good morning. Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. We are commercial free. We're uninterrupted for, gosh, for a good period of time. So you're going to, if you're driving for a little bit, you got us. I got a lot of stuff to talk about coming up here in just a couple of minutes. What did you look over for their hotness? We'll have that for you coming up in a little bit. Also, what did they put on the bar TV? Mike wants to complain about somebody who wasn't watching the games that he was wanting to watch. And in just a little bit, Megan with, I am too old for friendship rings. Or no, am I too old for friendship rings? Should it be am I or I am? I'm not. I think you are. I think you are. That's all coming up here in just a little bit. Plus, stick around because today is Five Lies Day. We'll have a Five Lies. We'll have a phone scam coming up. Oh, you know what I forgot to do? I got to do this, KP. I've never done this before. Caller number one, it is Red Wing Wednesdays, is going to win Red Wings tickets.

01:18:41 - 01:18:41 | Speaker 2:

Whoa.

01:18:41 - 01:18:49 | Speaker 1:

I don't have time for a 95th caller because that's a lot of counting. And honestly, sometimes in the middle of it, I forget what number I just left off on.

01:18:49 - 01:18:52 | Speaker 2:

I guarantee you somebody just stubbed their toe running to get their phone.

01:18:52 - 01:19:38 | Speaker 1:

Caller number one at 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, is going to win tickets to see the Red Wings take on the Edmonton Oilers on February the 7th. It's college night, and all season long we're giving away college night tickets. They've been representing all the colleges in the area. I love this. MCC, Macomb Community College, is getting represented. You know what? That's a college, too. Don't make fun. Mm-hmm. Steven is caller number one. What's going on, Steven? Oh, yeah, I won. Wait, how did you have that much, you know, quickness to get to the phone and do it? Do you have us programmed in your phone? As soon as you said it, I pushed the number. It was already in my phone. Yeah. I tried to call.

01:19:39 - 01:19:41 | Speaker 2:

Steven pays off to be a regular caller.

01:19:41 - 01:19:43 | Speaker 1:

You program us in the phone?

01:19:44 - 01:19:44 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

01:19:45 - 01:19:48 | Speaker 1:

What are we programmed under? Is that what it is?

01:19:48 - 01:19:57 | Speaker 2:

I always tell people to do that. I mean, it just makes it so much easier for contests, but also topics. If there's something you want to call in, just put Mojo in your phone, and then you don't have to think, what's the number? What did he say?

01:19:57 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 1:

But put it in your favorites so that it's right there.

01:20:00 - 01:20:06 | Speaker 3:

You know, the problem, though, with that is, I bet you if you have a wife or a girlfriend, she thinks that's a fake name there.

01:20:07 - 01:20:14 | Speaker 2:

Well, no, you know, I was just on the phone with her, and she was like, why, so you can call in to the Mojo in the morning show? I was like, y'all.

01:20:14 - 01:20:16 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you tell her now. You've got a date night.

01:20:16 - 01:20:21 | Speaker 3:

Wait a second. Does she ever complain that you talk to us too much more than her?

01:20:22 - 01:20:25 | Speaker 2:

Yes, all the time. She said, y'all, you tell them too much stuff.

01:20:25 - 01:20:29 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yo. You give out your business. That's the problem.

01:20:29 - 01:20:32 | Speaker 4:

What was the last thing you called in about that maybe you shouldn't have shared?

01:20:35 - 01:20:42 | Speaker 2:

I went into what I shouldn't have shared. It was about the candles. I remember I called in about the candles. All the candles you have? I remember you.

01:20:42 - 01:20:46 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah. I was trying to make him get in trouble again. You're a candle man.

01:20:46 - 01:20:47 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no.

01:20:47 - 01:20:49 | Speaker 4:

He's probably not even listening to you at work right now.

01:20:50 - 01:20:55 | Speaker 3:

Steven, February 7th, which is what? Is that Monday, Tuesday? What is that? It's next week, right?

01:20:55 - 01:20:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's next Tuesday.

01:20:56 - 01:21:08 | Speaker 3:

Next two, you're going Edmonton Oilers going to be in town against the Detroit Red Wings. I'm no hockey guy, but aren't the Edmonton Oilers part of the original six? Nope. No? Oh, really?

01:21:09 - 01:21:10 | Speaker 1:

Was it because of the Wailers?

01:21:11 - 01:21:14 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. Are there any Canadian teams in the original six, or am I stupid?

01:21:14 - 01:21:16 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, Toronto and Montreal.

01:21:16 - 01:21:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. Edmonton Oilers, though. Wayne Gretzky. That's all I know about. Does he still play for the Edmonton Oilers? Yes. College night. College night for that. All right, hang on one second, okay? All right. All right, hold on one second. The Great One. All right, Mojo in the Morning Show.

01:21:32 - 01:21:37 | Speaker 4:

You don't have to call me The Great One. Come on. Oh, shut up. I just do come in and I do my job.

01:21:39 - 01:22:03 | Speaker 3:

You're so dumb. Okay. She thinks that's funny. She thinks it's funny. Mojo in the Morning, 844-MOJO-LIVE, text 95500. zero uh this seems to happen a lot where people will do it because they see you know oh god they're arm candy they look hot whatever but spike you want to know does it happen on both

01:22:03 - 01:22:22 | Speaker 4:

sexes do both sexes do this yeah um i've shared on this show i really do not like the bachelor yet i watch it every week it's my trade-off for spending some time with my girlfriend who cooks cleans but honestly you're getting into it aren't you no no really it pains me it's such a bad show

01:22:22 - 01:22:26 | Speaker 3:

because i hated uh real housewives but to spend time with chelsea i'll watch real housewives and

01:22:26 - 01:23:32 | Speaker 4:

i'm now more into it than she is no she could tell you that yesterday actually i couldn't even after a few minutes i went in the other room to do my work on the laptop because it's painful but i but i like to sit next to her on the couch it's our it's our time after dinner and and the dumb show will play out and she's really into it so i'm trying to you know being with her means being in bachelor nation i guess but the one thing i noticed last night about bachelor bachelor zacker and all this crazy women some of these women are crazy but i think it's a guy trait that guys will fawn over the crazy women and they will ignore the crazy if they're really hot well duh and you know because of looks you overlook the crazy i know i've definitely overlooked a little craziness for hotness in my lifetime in my younger days and i know i want to know if it goes both ways do women do it too like if the guy is just crazy and he's bad for you in every other way maybe he's just a horrible person but he's really hot do you tend to overlook all the

01:23:32 - 01:23:50 | Speaker 1:

crazy i don't know if it's really hot what time is it it's after eight o'clock or if it's really good in bed oh okay okay because i don't know if hot really plays into it because i think a lot of girls are like whatever beauty face but they can really lay it down but if you're good see i i

01:23:50 - 01:24:29 | Speaker 3:

disagree with you okay not because of i've ever been played this way but i no i disagree because i think that a majority of the people um will date hot for the purpose of being looked at by people of oh you're dating a hot person i don't know if it's the the good in bed like i you know what i'm talking about like the bachelor people don't you think that those bachelor people are looking at me you know like the guys looking like oh she may not be that intelligent or man she may be crazy but man look at how beautiful she looks and i've never dated somebody that's like that much of a beauty yeah so i think both sexes do it for that i think dating hot is social

01:24:29 - 01:24:35 | Speaker 1:

currency don't get me wrong i do think it like plays into that but i do think that girls won't

01:24:35 - 01:24:39 | Speaker 3:

put up with it the way guys will okay they'll end it faster oh for sure guys will put up with it

01:24:39 - 01:24:43 | Speaker 1:

longer because i also think that women hold more currency than dudes when it comes to hotness

01:24:43 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 4:

right because we always say we we all know that one unemployed guy who plays xbox all day never leaves the house to look for a job and the girl keeps him around and we realize we go oh he you're Right, Megan. We say, oh, he must be really good and bad. Right. There's no other reason she'd be having this guy.

01:25:00 - 01:25:06 | Speaker 8:

thought it was just if he was like funny or like I wish it was. I would have

01:25:06 - 01:25:08 | Speaker 3:

had much better dates in college. But I do

01:25:08 - 01:25:12 | Speaker 9:

think women see funny as more important than attractive. Oh yeah.

01:25:12 - 01:25:14 | Speaker 2:

Well I think that they want to marry

01:25:14 - 01:25:26 | Speaker 3:

funny. Yeah they marry funny they don't sleep with funny. Oh well yeah for sure. All the girls in college told me how funny I was. They didn't date me but they would say oh my gosh you're so hilarious and then they'd go date the hot guy. And you know what they marry

01:25:26 - 01:25:29 | Speaker 2:

better than funny? Money. What's going on Jen?

01:25:30 - 01:25:39 | Speaker 7:

I was just going to say I don't know about just crazy But if they're also really good At baking cookies Eh

01:25:39 - 01:25:45 | Speaker 2:

There it is Did your kid just get excited over cookies

01:25:45 - 01:25:50 | Speaker 7:

Especially if somebody knows how to eat A good cookie Oh

01:25:50 - 01:25:55 | Speaker 3:

You know what That could change your religion right there

01:25:55 - 01:25:57 | Speaker 9:

That's top of the list of demands though I get it

01:25:57 - 01:26:01 | Speaker 3:

Your poor child in the back seat now Wants to eat some cookies

01:26:01 - 01:26:08 | Speaker 7:

Penelope are you okay back there Alright

01:26:08 - 01:26:11 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning What's up Beth

01:26:11 - 01:26:18 | Speaker 6:

I would say for men They would be crazy if they're hot And women would put up with crazy for money

01:26:18 - 01:26:37 | Speaker 2:

Interesting I think actually You're pretty dead on with that one Because I think that For some reason, the things that you put up with, and I think that nobody wants to live out in the cold, so to speak, right? Right. They want the nice roof over their head and nice stuff.

01:26:38 - 01:26:49 | Speaker 6:

So if they can offer you lots of things, et cetera, and it's more of a superficial, which is what the opposite is for men with women, more of a superficial relationship, you might put up with it a little bit more if they have money.

01:26:49 - 01:26:50 | Speaker 2:

Have you ever done either?

01:26:53 - 01:26:54 | Speaker 6:

Hot, probably.

01:26:54 - 01:26:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:26:54 - 01:26:56 | Speaker 6:

I put up with hot a little bit more in college.

01:26:56 - 01:27:02 | Speaker 2:

Did you ever, did you ever, when you were with hot, just want him to shut up and just look pretty? Yeah.

01:27:02 - 01:27:05 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Absolutely.

01:27:06 - 01:27:10 | Speaker 2:

Thanks, Beth. Morgan on with us. Morgan, male or female?

01:27:11 - 01:27:11 | Speaker 1:

Male.

01:27:12 - 01:27:14 | Speaker 2:

Male. All right. Get a guy's perspective on this.

01:27:14 - 01:27:15 | Speaker 1:

Hey, good morning, guys.

01:27:15 - 01:27:15 | Speaker 2:

Good morning.

01:27:16 - 01:27:43 | Speaker 1:

So we have a friend group, and there's a female in that group that is constantly dating the slew of just what I'd call jewels. But it's not so much that they're only attractive, but I think attractive and well-established in life. Like, not necessarily rich, but just well-established in a career and stable. And these guys are sometimes the driest, worst to talk to people I've personally met. But she goes just through one after the other. She's really stuck on this and sticks with them longer than she should.

01:27:43 - 01:27:47 | Speaker 2:

And what do you think it is? Is it just arm candy, or what's the story?

01:27:48 - 01:28:04 | Speaker 1:

I think it has to be that component of arm candy. They have to be at least attractive enough to present to her friends, at least in my case. I don't know about others, but really just that stability factor, that they're really well-established and really just solid as a person that they think they can count on is what I think.

01:28:04 - 01:28:10 | Speaker 9:

I think you're 100% right. I joke all the time about rich guys, but just stability is like, oh, so attractive.

01:28:11 - 01:28:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. What's up, Michelle? Hi, Michelle.

01:28:17 - 01:28:19 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Mojo. How are you?

01:28:19 - 01:28:30 | Speaker 2:

I'm doing fantastic, Michelle. Elle, your thoughts on this. We're talking about how people will date just for looks or date just for money or date, you know, just for good and bad.

01:28:31 - 01:28:42 | Speaker 5:

See, I'm personally not that type. I'm all about the personality. I originally texted in just to say that I agree with Spike about The Bachelor being just simple.

01:28:44 - 01:28:45 | Speaker 4:

You had me scared there.

01:28:46 - 01:28:48 | Speaker 3:

Side conversation, that show is trash.

01:28:51 - 01:28:52 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Abby?

01:28:53 - 01:28:54 | Speaker 8:

Hi.

01:28:54 - 01:28:55 | Speaker 2:

How you doing, Abby?

01:28:56 - 01:28:58 | Speaker 8:

I am great. How are you guys?

01:28:58 - 01:29:02 | Speaker 2:

We are fantastic. You want to add to the conversation that we're having this morning on Mojo in the Morning?

01:29:04 - 01:29:06 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, I just want to say I married the funny.

01:29:07 - 01:29:08 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Was I married the funny?

01:29:08 - 01:29:13 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. I married the funny. And he was also good at baking cookies, so that was a plus.

01:29:13 - 01:29:17 | Speaker 9:

Dude, that's it. That's all you need. And a good credit score. That's it.

01:29:17 - 01:29:55 | Speaker 2:

so excited to uh watch the super bowl i'm so bummed out though i hate i hate the week in between the nfc and afc championship week which i love so much and then there's nothing this weekend it's uh either college basketball or you got to watch that stupid two-hand touch afc nfc actually you know what this year they're doing flag football it used to be like two-hand touch but they never called it that way they just never tackled each other now they're going to full-on flag football you remember you used to play that when you were in gym class yeah the only thing good about it is the manning brothers are on it that's it that's

01:29:55 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 9:

cool that's cool why don't they do like a skills competition like they do on basketball and the NHL.

01:30:00 - 01:30:31 | Speaker 4:

I think they still do a little bit of that. They'll see how good they are at some of the skills. But honestly, it's not as fun. I don't know. I think they should just get rid of the whole thing. And they should just add more teams to the playoffs and call it a day. Because then the Lions will actually make the playoffs, which will be good. But Mike, you had a very interesting question to bring up before the show about going to a bar or something to watch the games. and you witnessed something that, to me, I've always wanted to know why that was.

01:30:31 - 01:31:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, why if during this time when everybody's watching the playoffs right now, if you go to a place, like I was at Beershead the other day and I was watching the playoff game, if you go to a place that's literally everybody there is watching the game, why would you put or ask for anything else to be on the TV? Like, literally the only sound being played in the entire place is the game. Because I'm sitting there, and everybody's watching the Eagles-Niners game. Except for this couple, two seats down from me at the bar, who's watching wrestling. Like college wrestling. Like WWE, like college wrestling. And nobody else is watching it, so you can't hear it. Like, unless you know somebody in that, even then, why are you watching that?

01:31:19 - 01:31:28 | Speaker 4:

I've been at, like, B-dubs before where the TVs are all on the games, but there is, like, one TV, and it's on, like, cheerleading or something like that.

01:31:28 - 01:31:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, what's the point? Why change that?

01:31:30 - 01:31:53 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but you actually saw that they were watching it? You knew that they were actually interested in it? They're the ones that switched or asked the channel to be put on that. Hmm. My God. Yeah, I don't know. I have no idea why they do that. And I've always wondered why they even at the establishment would even say, OK, we'll do it when there's a, you know, AFC NFC championship game.

01:31:53 - 01:32:05 | Speaker 3:

And then I remember the other day I was at a Red Robin and they had a they had somebody had like put friends on like the show friends. What is the point of watching the show friends at a restaurant where everybody's watching the game?

01:32:05 - 01:32:15 | Speaker 4:

That is kind of true. Although, if you could, like, if you're not a sports fan, if you could go to a place, would you go to a place to watch, like, your favorite show? Yes. We do?

01:32:15 - 01:32:36 | Speaker 2:

Yes, because I, okay, I like football, so this conversation for me is hard, but I can't stand basketball. It is so boring to me, and March Madness is the worst month of the year. Oh, how dare you? I hate it. I absolutely hate it. But I know that I hang out with people who love basketball. They have their brackets. They're into it. I don't want to not socialize with them for a month. Like, just give me a television with darts on it, bowling, whatever.

01:32:37 - 01:33:06 | Speaker 1:

So I'm at a crossroads because you know what a big Eagles fan I am. And the sales department was asking me if I would host a Super Bowl party at a bar. And I'm kind of like, hmm, because I kind of want to really pay attention to the game. And I like to watch the commercials for the show. We talk about all the other things, halftime. But there's also going to be a lot of people wanting to talk to me if I'm hosting the party. But it would be fun to be at a party for the Eagles game. So I'm kind of like, I don't know what to do. Like, I don't know if I should go host the party or not.

01:33:07 - 01:33:19 | Speaker 4:

Honestly, I wouldn't do it. I know that the sales department is going to be mad at me for saying this. But I wouldn't do it because I think that Super Bowl parties or going to a bar watching the Super Bowl blows.

01:33:20 - 01:33:37 | Speaker 1:

Well, see, I'm not like you because usually I'm not super hugely into the NFL. I'm a college football guy. And I watch the NFL. Meg's really into the NFL. But when it's my team, I really want to watch it. And then I just don't know what to do because I also would like to host it.

01:33:38 - 01:33:43 | Speaker 2:

So I think that you shouldn't host it. And I think whoever the salesperson is should ask me to host it.

01:33:45 - 01:34:08 | Speaker 1:

You want to check. We also talked about having a party at our house if the Eagles got in it. But I said it has to be a small group. I'm not inviting everybody like we've done for other games. I want to be small enough where I can still hear the game, watch the game. People don't want to ask me about work and travel and family. I just want to watch football.

01:34:08 - 01:34:20 | Speaker 4:

Real quick, we've got breaking news. We've got breaking news into us this morning. And it deals with sports, so it's actually a perfect tie-in for us to do this. Tom Brady has officially retired from football again. Again.

01:34:21 - 01:34:24 | Speaker 2:

Bro, I have the most football-iest dirty coming up, too.

01:34:24 - 01:34:25 | Speaker 4:

Well.

01:34:25 - 01:34:26 | Speaker 1:

Add it in there.

01:34:26 - 01:34:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we can throw it down there.

01:34:28 - 01:34:29 | Speaker 2:

Did it just happen?

01:34:30 - 01:34:31 | Speaker 4:

It just happened.

01:34:31 - 01:34:37 | Speaker 2:

So you awed, but what really just happened was Tom Brady decides $400 million worth it to finally go to television.

01:34:37 - 01:34:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, which, can I tell you something? I wonder if he did this because he'll be in the booth for the Super Bowl because Fox has the Super Bowl.

01:34:48 - 01:34:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Tom Brady, way to go out on a low note. You did it. You did it.

01:34:52 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but could you imagine me sitting in a B-dubs right now and that news is supposed to be on, but instead you're watching college wrestling because somebody decided they wanted to.

01:35:00 - 01:35:25 | Speaker 6:

college wrestling where did he announce it because it said uh scott sands sent it to us and said that they put it on uh on his instagram but i'm looking at his instagram maybe it's on his story i know he's got a bunch of nostalgic pictures and stuff i'm watching i got espn on uh in the studio that's where i see it yeah i know they saw i saw that they covered they covered it there wow all right well more on that in a second grace what's going on it's mojo in the morning hi yeah so um i was

01:35:36 - 01:36:21 | Speaker 6:

tvs so he can watch wow yeah so your dad is that that guy that wants to watch golf and oh yeah which if it's not the masters do you really want to watch the golf i know he had the dubai last saturday while the games were on yeah that uh well he's a he's an i put golf on when i want to sleep yeah me too and i and i love golf but i everybody's playing and watching it on tv is boring thank you for the call did you hear tom brady retired i'm very sad very very sad day i wish he would have done it last year and stayed with it last year because to be honest with you I feel like this last year kind of ruined him a little bit.

01:36:21 - 01:36:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. He took the fizzle out of it.

01:36:24 - 01:36:26 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Oh, man.

01:36:26 - 01:36:29 | Speaker 3:

He did post it on his Instagram.

01:36:30 - 01:36:31 | Speaker 6:

Is it a video or anything, Mike?

01:36:31 - 01:36:33 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm trying to send it to you right now.

01:36:33 - 01:36:38 | Speaker 6:

Okay. So it's him talking and saying, where is it? Is it the top one that's pinned?

01:36:39 - 01:36:44 | Speaker 3:

It's on his Twitter. Are you on Twitter or Instagram? I'm on Instagram. He posted it nine minutes ago. It's a 52-second song.

01:36:45 - 01:36:51 | Speaker 6:

Okay. All right. Nine minutes ago. All right. Here we go. Oh, here we go. I got it right here. Why is it not playing?

01:36:51 - 01:36:53 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I'm sending you it.

01:36:53 - 01:36:56 | Speaker 6:

Oh, you know what? It's playing. But you can't hear it because I don't have it.

01:36:56 - 01:36:58 | Unknown:

I don't have it plugged. Gotcha.

01:36:59 - 01:37:49 | Speaker 5:

Sorry about that. Here we are, an exclusive. You won't hear this anywhere else. I'll get to the point right away. I'm retiring for good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I'd just press record and let you guys know first so I won't be long-winded you only get one super emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year so I really thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me my family he's getting emotional my friends teammates my competitors I could go on forever there's too many um thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream i wouldn't change a thing

01:37:49 - 01:38:04 | Speaker 4:

love you all he is so pretty yeah he is does he get back with giselle because he lost his family over last season i hope so do you think it goes to the the whole court case of them being sued and then when that's over, they get back together?

01:38:05 - 01:38:09 | Speaker 6:

Stop it. You got to stop that whole thing. I'm telling you.

01:38:09 - 01:38:11 | Speaker 4:

I'm just saying. Shut up!

01:38:12 - 01:38:28 | Speaker 6:

We're emotional. Us guys are emotional. I'm so sorry. When you girls get excited about Harry and Meghan and all that stuff, we let you have that moment. Let me have my moment with Tom. Please. Do you need a sec? Thank you. Mike, I think, yes, I need to. Okay.

01:38:29 - 01:38:29 | Speaker 4:

Do you need a tissue?

01:38:32 - 01:38:33 | Speaker 6:

Hi, Tammy.

01:38:33 - 01:39:14 | Speaker 1:

hi there what's going on well i just wanted to make a comment about tom hearing that tom brady has quote unquote officially retired and i find it kind of funny because he lost the biggest prize when he chose not to retire um for the sake of his wife who is the ultimate trophy giselle are you kidding me i agree and and i just find that very funny because all the money all the rings The beautiful family I think we're all foolish if we don't believe That the reason she left was because He wouldn't give it up And now he's given it up after their divorce I just think he's An overrated silly man Tammy hear me out

01:39:14 - 01:39:16 | Speaker 6:

She's going to talk about that crypto thing again

01:39:16 - 01:39:30 | Speaker 4:

Was it because she moved out of the country To take all of her money out of our banking system So they could hide their money And they won't get back together Is that why she went to the Bahamas To get all of their money out of those bank accounts Is that why?

01:39:31 - 01:39:50 | Speaker 1:

Well, you know, that's a good point. Although you just look at her, even as a woman, you look at this beautiful goddess of a person who took all her time to raise those children and be supportive football wife. And he just kept going and going and he just had to have more, had to have more. And now he has nothing.

01:39:52 - 01:39:55 | Speaker 6:

And she's laughing about it, too. Don't laugh about it. It's so sad.

01:39:55 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 4:

He has nothing but a $400 million television contract. Oh.

01:40:00 - 01:40:05 | Speaker 1:

Right, but we'll see what show he truly ends up on and how exciting that goes for him.

01:40:05 - 01:40:09 | Speaker 5:

Fox, he's going to be the football analyst for Fox.

01:40:10 - 01:40:15 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so he can have lots of hairspray in his hair and sit there with, you know, maybe a ring or two on his finger.

01:40:16 - 01:40:24 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no, no. Come on. Love him. Love him like I love him. No. Love me like you do. Love, love, love me like you do.

01:40:24 - 01:40:26 | Speaker 6:

Why would we love a guy that put a sport above his family?

01:40:26 - 01:40:33 | Speaker 3:

congratulations mojo in the morning on 20 years of hard-hitting celebrity interview questions

01:40:33 - 01:40:47 | Speaker 4:

01:40:52 - 01:41:19 | Speaker 5:

Back in the year, or back in the day. That was it. That was Tom Brady. All right. Well, we need to move on because at this point, if Shannon were actually in this morning and not homesick, she'd be shopping. Even on this one. Mojo in the morning show. So, Megan got a ring. What? What? Hold on a second. How come this didn't make as big a news as when Shannon got a ring?

01:41:20 - 01:41:30 | Speaker 6:

What? Oh, wait. Hold on. Let me get really emotional about how I received this ring You guys This is the biggest day of my life I'm kidding

01:41:30 - 01:41:33 | Speaker 5:

Who did you get a ring from?

01:41:33 - 01:42:59 | Speaker 6:

I got a ring from one of my girlfriends Who I'm absolutely obsessed with And I truly hope she's not listening right now Please text me if you are I'm going to give you a second Because I'm going to change the ending of the story if you are Because I love her to death Her name is Katie she is currently pregnant and i think that she's really worried about me and our other friend jillian kind of forgetting about her when she takes her maternity leave because thankfully like i'm very lucky because two of like my closest girlfriends i i work with but like i'm friends with them and i just happen to work with them they're not my work friends you know what i'm saying you ever have those people you have work friends and then you have friends that you work with and these are my friends that i work with so she's going on maternity leave i think she's a worried that we're gonna forget about her so she bought us all uh matching friendship rings yes ma'am i did turn 30 this year and i am wearing a friendship ring well i was wearing a friendship ring because i um i lost it this week after getting it um this week so that's very on brand for you but i don't think i lost it i think that i i uh faced a theft i think it was stolen i'm gonna i'm gonna say like a dun dun dun somebody in the office stole my ring and i don't know who

01:42:59 - 01:43:09 | Speaker 5:

it was yeah your ring got stolen you just didn't put it down somewhere and forget where you put it this is the reason why you should not get another ring i know i know i was thinking about it i

01:43:09 - 01:43:15 | Speaker 6:

I genuinely was thinking about it and was like, this is why I can never get engaged because I will lose it in the first week.

01:43:16 - 01:43:24 | Speaker 5:

Okay, question for you. Is Megan too old for a friendship ring? No. Is this something that you only do when you're in middle school or high school?

01:43:25 - 01:43:27 | Speaker 6:

It's not a mood ring. It was gold.

01:43:28 - 01:43:30 | Speaker 5:

And she spent good money on it, too?

01:43:30 - 01:43:36 | Speaker 6:

She did spend good money on it. I took it off to wash my hands, and then I didn't want it to fall off, and I put it somewhere.

01:43:36 - 01:43:45 | Speaker 5:

Are there any listeners of ours over the age of, I'll even go as far as saying 18, that have friendship rings? Do you get friendship rings?

01:43:45 - 01:43:46 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:43:46 - 01:43:47 | Speaker 5:

And you're not a Jonas Brother?

01:43:47 - 01:43:48 | Speaker 6:

People get friendship tattoos.

01:43:48 - 01:43:50 | Speaker 5:

Oh, they have purity rings. The Jonas Brothers have purity rings.

01:43:50 - 01:43:59 | Speaker 6:

People get friendship tattoos. I don't think rings are that big of a deal. And I don't like the fact that you're mocking me for this. I think you're jealous because you don't have a friendship.

01:43:59 - 01:44:00 | Speaker 5:

I don't have a friend.

01:44:00 - 01:44:01 | Speaker 6:

Watches.

01:44:01 - 01:44:02 | Speaker 5:

That won't give me a ring.

01:44:02 - 01:44:04 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, watch it. Or cufflinks. Cufflinks.

01:44:04 - 01:44:10 | Speaker 3:

01:46:49 - 01:46:53 | Speaker 6:

More than I can count on you

01:46:53 - 01:47:09 | Speaker 1:

That would scare me Or maybe It makes you have to work it out You fight even harder To work out your problems Because you're like, crap, I'm tattooed I gotta figure this out Does that happen though in marriages?

01:47:10 - 01:47:16 | Speaker 6:

01:47:16 - 01:47:20 | Speaker 3:

Thanks for the call. I appreciate it. Marie?

01:47:21 - 01:47:30 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I'm 30 years old. I have a group of six friends, and we all have best friend rings. I love space. I know.

01:47:31 - 01:47:39 | Speaker 3:

Okay, then here's my question for you. Do any of you guys lose the ring when you take it off the day after you got it?

01:47:41 - 01:47:54 | Speaker 5:

Well, if we did, nobody has admitted it yet. So, Megan, you know, that sounds like if you are really good friends with her, she'll get you another one, I'm sure

01:47:54 - 01:47:57 | Speaker 7:

Oh, God Yeah, she's used to me being an idiot, but I also feel bad

01:47:57 - 01:48:08 | Speaker 5:

And it's not, no, and at 30 years old, you're allowed to have a friendship ring because we are changing the way that adults view life Yes, ma'am I'm convinced Yes, ma'am, keep going

01:48:08 - 01:48:17 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I know We're done with your societal norms We're going to show our girlfriends that we love them with jewelry. Boom.

01:48:17 - 01:48:28 | Speaker 5:

We even call ourselves the Lavender Gang. So we all love lavender. So we're changing the whole way the future is going to be with our friendship rings.

01:48:28 - 01:48:37 | Speaker 3:

There you go. Now, Megan, you guys all got to pick a color. Try to work that out. All right. It is Mojo in the Morning show.

01:48:39 - 01:48:41 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning is Dirty on the 30.

01:48:41 - 01:48:49 | Speaker 3:

Wow, breaking dirty news. You know what, this is actually a good day when it happens to you right before you go do a dirty report.

01:48:49 - 01:49:14 | Speaker 7:

Actually, it is, but it's also very stressful because I'm trying to talk to people and do research. And honestly, we all know my brain isn't capable of doing much at the same time. So the fact that I got a sentence written down, and I'm going to ask, do you have your phone plugged into the board? I do. Here we go. So Tom Brady announcing his official retirement at the age of 44 after 22 seasons with the Buccaneers and the Patriots.

01:49:14 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, guys. I'll get to the point right away. I'm retiring for good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I'd just press record and let you guys know first. so I won't be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year, so I really thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me. My family, my friends, teammates, my competitors. I could go on forever, there's too many. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream.

01:50:00 - 01:50:09 | Speaker 4:

I want to change a thing. Love you all. Good morning, guys. I'll get to the point.

01:50:09 - 01:50:39 | Speaker 3:

So if you can do me a favor, keep this NFL music running because we got tons of football stories today, including the Eagles, E-A-G. Wait, how do you spell Eagles? E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles. They are in the Super Bowl. They are going to be going to Arizona. But a lot of Arizona businesses are a little stressed out about the Eagles fans. There have been notices going around saying, prepare for some of the most obnoxious, rude fans in the country. Spike, what do you have to say about that?

01:50:39 - 01:50:40 | Speaker 1:

They're not wrong.

01:50:43 - 01:50:48 | Speaker 4:

Just prepare for it. Is that not crazy, though, that they would actually post this?

01:50:48 - 01:51:13 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. They're putting out memos to business owners saying, get ready. I'm excited. Okay, can I tell you? This is so random. Not a part of dirty, but you're welcome. For this fun fact, I watch stripper documentaries every year about the Super Bowl because it is very interesting how stripper culture works around the two weeks around the big game, and I just know the best ones in the entire world are going to be there making the most obnoxious amounts of money that you cannot even realize.

01:51:13 - 01:51:24 | Speaker 4:

And I think Phoenix already has, like, strip clubs that are, like, world-renowned. They're kind of like second or third to, like, I think Atlanta and Tampa. I like the two.

01:51:24 - 01:51:26 | Speaker 3:

Atlanta and Miami, I thought, were, like, big ones.

01:51:26 - 01:51:39 | Speaker 4:

I think Atlanta, Tampa are, like, number one, too. And then I think that Phoenix might be, like, three. I like how you say I think. Like, you don't. I know. Stop it. I heard. Wait, keep going. Keep going. A report says, allegedly.

01:51:40 - 01:51:52 | Speaker 3:

So, former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson, a.k.a. Ocho Cinco, is admitting a bunch of different ways that he decided to save money while he was, like, at the height of his career.

01:51:53 - 01:52:45 | Speaker 2:

I want to make enough money I can fly private. Yeah. Fly private? Shh. I ain't flying private. Spirit. Put me on spirit. Exit row. Window seat. That's all I need. As long as I get from point A to point B. I don't need private. Athletes more so. If you can get to a point in your career where your name becomes bigger than anything you can purchase, there's your value. Wow. My name itself, Ocho Cinco at one point, even still to this day, is bigger than... Why am I driving a Ferrari? Why am I driving a Rolls Royce and I'm Ocho? Oh, we talk about jewelry and watches and chains. Never bought real anything when I was playing. Never, what was the point? I went to Klairs. So all your jewelry? Yes, for what? What am I doing it for? The women don't deal with you anyway because of who you are. And then the other women who are really doing their homework don't Google how much you're making already. Why am I buying a $50,000 watch?

01:52:45 - 01:52:56 | Speaker 3:

He estimated that he saved 83% of his salary in making these kind of like big moves. He lived at the Bengals facility as a rookie and did a whole bunch of other things to just save money.

01:52:56 - 01:53:08 | Speaker 4:

It's funny, man. You see these athletes that they go out and they spend it all and then they're done and they're hard up and they're having to do like TV shows where they make fun of them and stuff. And that's good for him for doing that.

01:53:08 - 01:53:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. A big announcement with a new tour coming. We got Fall Out Boy coming. Are they coming through

01:53:21 - 01:53:22 | Speaker 4:

Detroit or

01:53:22 - 01:54:05 | Speaker 3:

Saturday, July 29th They're going to be at Pine Very excited If you've never seen Fall Out Boy Live They are an incredible show They are so fun And I don't care If you like them or not You know all of their big songs It is so worth going to Actually, if you want to See them perform Did you know that You can catch them this Friday Fall Out Boy is going to be In the State Farm Park In iHeartland In Fortnite at 8 So you can go see them perform their Alter Ego set. Pretty cool. Back to football. But this time, less about the sports side, more about the halftime side. Let's talk about some Rihanna speculation of what's going to be happening at the halftime performance of the Super Bowl. The director of that show has come out and give us a little bit of cryptic messages about what we can expect during the show.

01:54:05 - 01:54:13 | Speaker 1:

The story that she wants to tell is just let's be epic. Let's let this be a moment in time that people will never have had seen or heard before.

01:54:14 - 01:54:15 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:54:15 - 01:54:17 | Speaker 4:

That doesn't really give us much. I know.

01:54:17 - 01:54:24 | Speaker 3:

I know. I know. But I love it. So here's what we need to talk about. Will there be a Fenty fashion show happening during her performance?

01:54:24 - 01:54:25 | Speaker 4:

God, I hope not.

01:54:25 - 01:54:29 | Speaker 3:

Are you kidding? You don't want to see people walking around in lingerie? Are you crazy?

01:54:29 - 01:54:30 | Speaker 4:

No.

01:54:30 - 01:54:32 | Speaker 3:

I want to just hear the music in this. You are literally insane.

01:54:32 - 01:54:36 | Speaker 4:

Don't paint me in that picture. I already did this denial on the stripper story.

01:54:36 - 01:54:37 | Unknown:

Oh.

01:54:37 - 01:54:41 | Speaker 3:

Okay. I didn't realize. My bad. My bad.

01:54:41 - 01:54:43 | Speaker 4:

You were throwing softballs and I swung and I missed. He sent off the dumps.

01:54:44 - 01:54:50 | Speaker 3:

Who else do we think we're going to see? Are we going to see Jay-Z? Are we going to see Paul McCartney? Do we think Drake's going to make an appearance?

01:54:50 - 01:54:54 | Speaker 4:

Wow. What would happen if that happened? That would be amazing.

01:54:54 - 01:54:55 | Speaker 3:

I think we're going to see Paul.

01:54:55 - 01:54:57 | Speaker 4:

They say nobody, but they also.

01:54:57 - 01:55:04 | Speaker 1:

They always say nobody, but there's always somebody. The NFL relies on it. They love it. They encourage it because it just creates more buzz.

01:55:04 - 01:55:18 | Speaker 4:

What is so irritating to me is how under wraps this has been. I'm usually pretty good at finding leaks. There's videos that come out of rehearsals. I cannot find anything about this halftime performance, and it is driving me nuts. So I guess we'll all have to find out what happens on February 12th.

01:55:18 - 01:55:32 | Speaker 1:

That's what tells me she's not going to have a lot of backup dancers and a big band because it leaks when you have a big production set. And if you don't have all that, if you don't have all the dancers in a 20-piece band and all those people, there's less people to tell you what's going on in this secret rehearsal.

01:55:32 - 01:55:39 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I think we're going to get a fashion show. I'm just saying. Check out all of today's Dirty by going to the Dirty page at mojointhemorning.com

Good morning. How are you?

01:56:09 - 01:56:10 | Speaker 3:

Good. Am I the winner?

01:56:11 - 01:56:13 | Speaker 2:

Linda, we've got good news for you.

01:56:13 - 01:56:15 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I'm listening, Linda.

01:56:15 - 01:56:22 | Speaker 2:

We have $250 in free groceries for you. Congrats. That's the wrong one. Thank you, Mojo.

01:56:22 - 01:56:23 | Speaker 3:

I took a group of it.

01:56:24 - 01:56:25 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know what?

01:56:25 - 01:56:27 | Speaker 3:

My daughter's gluten-free, and it's just this hard.

01:56:27 - 01:56:51 | Speaker 2:

It's expensive. Yeah, it's expensive to be gluten-free. Well, let me just say this to you. Okay. $10,000 in free groceries could be yours. Friday morning, after we grab the last qualifier, we're going to not only announce the grand prize winner, but we're going to go and do it by delivering it to their house, the $10,000 in free groceries with Kroger delivery. Isn't that awesome?

01:56:52 - 01:56:53 | Speaker 3:

I'll be waiting, Mojo.

01:56:54 - 01:57:39 | Speaker 2:

All right. Thank you so much, Linda. Hold on one second. I like her. That's how every winner should be. If I can give you advice, please, if you listen to the show, that would be, if Bob Barker were still doing the prices right, he would say, thank you so much. You're a great contestant. You know? You're not the contestant that causes any issues for Bob. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning Show. Phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Your home of the phone scams, the War of the Roses and the Dirty on the 30. This is Mojo in the Morning. Spike realized something about himself that he did not know until he was taping a, what, a TikTok or something?

01:57:39 - 01:58:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was recording a TikTok in the studio yesterday morning. And after the show, I realized, oh my God, I thought you were all my friends. Nobody's ever said this to me before. Oh, maybe you are my friends. You were trying to be nice and not tell me. But I came to the sudden realization that I think I have a resting bitch face. No, no, no. I think Matt always mad. That's the thing I realized when I was because I had to I had to put my phone on the little tripod. I was recording. I was trying to show people behind the scenes of how I do a phone scan. And for those who don't know, we record them after the show because I got to get their permission to put their voice on the radio. well i had this phone staring back at me in my face in the studio for the better part of three hours and i just kept looking i go why do i look angry why do i why is my facial expression like that do i always look like that and i kept trying to like smile more when i was doing the the video and i was like this do i always look like that i look really angry or my sides of my mouth are always down and it's like i never noticed that before is this you know and then on the way home i stopped for tacos and totally caught my reflection in the drive-through window and i think i was just ready to go home and go to bed because i said oh my god there's that angry guy

01:58:57 - 01:59:03 | Speaker 2:

why do i look so mad when i'm so happy do you think you've always had resting bitch face or

01:59:03 - 01:59:08 | Speaker 1:

it's just come around that's what i'm asking have i always had this permanent frown face and you

01:59:08 - 01:59:29 | Speaker 2:

guys just didn't tell me honestly i've never noticed that you've had resting bitch face before i always uh picture you as a smiler but um maybe it's just the two circumstances because whenever i'm trying to tape something or do you know like take a picture or do a selfie or whatever yeah i always get angry about having to do it like i'm because i never do it because i want to do it i'm

01:59:29 - 01:59:43 | Speaker 1:

doing it i don't want to do a tiktok yeah it's part of the work thing but i i was just resting and being myself while I'm working behind the scenes. And I was forgetting the camera was there until I looked up and go, oh my God, why does he look that angry?

01:59:43 - 01:59:49 | Speaker 2:

How could you be angry getting tacos? Like you can't be angry. Like you must have resting bitch faces. You're getting angry getting tacos.

01:59:50 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 1:

And for those who aren't familiar with the phrase, that's why they call it resting bitch face because this is the face you have when you're just at rest and you're not thinking. Because if I'm talking to you guys, I'll smile and when I meet people, I'm...

02:00:00 - 02:00:09 | Speaker 6:

smiling but when I'm by myself and I just I'm natural and just relaxed that's when I realized wow if people are looking at me across the street and I don't know I'm being watched

02:00:09 - 02:00:14 | Speaker 3:

they think I'm angry are you sure that maybe well are you sure that maybe you're not faking

02:00:14 - 02:00:24 | Speaker 6:

your smiles from when you're around people like well no you try and express a lewd what how you feel so when I meet people and I'm smiling it's because I'm really happy to meet them and stuff

02:00:24 - 02:00:32 | Speaker 4:

I'd rather have resting bitch face than what I have which is resting dumb face where i just just look like i don't know what's going on and just lost at all times well then i

02:00:32 - 02:01:03 | Speaker 6:

had face isn't bad mike i had people like it started to replay in my head i've had people say like they'll text me or they'll message they'll hit the dms on instagram and say hey i saw you yesterday at the game i was gonna say hi but it looked like you you were going through some stuff or it looked like you were you know you were in the middle of something yeah and i'm like oh man i try to be so approachable i always tell listeners please anytime you see me come say hi I'd love to meet our listeners But when they say that I'm like why didn't they come say hi And now I'm realizing because they looked at me And they probably thought I was angry at somebody

02:01:03 - 02:01:12 | Speaker 2:

So I didn't realize that I had resting bitch face And then I got a ton of Botox And now it's just my face constantly Can that happen by the way

02:01:12 - 02:01:17 | Speaker 3:

If somebody gets bad Botox Can they actually get A resting bitch face

02:01:17 - 02:01:21 | Speaker 2:

Well I would say good Botox is when nothing moves So if that's your face

02:01:21 - 02:01:28 | Speaker 3:

I'm better than you face Josh, what's going on? Do you believe that Spike has resting bitch face?

02:01:30 - 02:01:59 | Speaker 5:

Spike, you beautiful son of a gun. How are you? Good. All right. I've got it figured out, guys. And hi, Meg and Mike and Mojo also. I've got it figured out. Go ahead. When I talked to you at the trunk or treat, I thought, wow, did I say something to offend him? I was like, he looked so pissed off at me. I don't understand it. but when we talked at the renaissance festival you were smiling and happy and i figured it out you got a beer in your hand at the renaissance festival

02:01:59 - 02:02:22 | Speaker 6:

i think that's what it is you know what and and right from the trunk or treat we went to the bar so if you'd only met me an hour later then maybe that's it maybe that's it that is so funny i'm always i'm a happy person but i'm definitely a happy drunk so then i i just you know it just

02:02:22 - 02:02:36 | Speaker 3:

oozes out of me and the other problem too is that you had a long day you were working late and you know you're here at the station and then you're going home it's like you just want to get home you're exhausted maybe later in the day you get resting bitch face maybe that's when it happens

02:02:36 - 02:02:49 | Speaker 6:

that might be it it might be timing but like you said nobody's sad or angry when they're getting tacos and when i was pulling up i knew they were going to be looking at me through the window so Shouldn't I have been happier and, like, smiling when I was like, that's just how I look?

02:02:49 - 02:02:54 | Speaker 3:

I hate, by the way, the worst in the world is you ever go to the drive-thrus, like, at Starbucks, where you can see your face?

02:02:54 - 02:02:55 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

02:02:55 - 02:03:00 | Speaker 3:

And they're like, don't even do that to me. I don't want to see that. It's an awful thing. What's going on, Sue?

02:03:01 - 02:03:02 | Speaker 1:

Good morning.

02:03:03 - 02:03:03 | Speaker 3:

Good morning.

02:03:04 - 02:03:22 | Speaker 1:

Thank you guys all the time. First time caller. Aw, nice. We have resting bitch face. Every time I go to the gas station, somebody always tells me, why do you look so mad? Or why do you look so sad? Smile once in a while. And I look and I catch myself looking in the mirror and I'm like, oh, my God, I do.

02:03:23 - 02:03:28 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that awful that they have to call you out for it? But are you happy that they call you out for it?

02:03:29 - 02:03:33 | Speaker 1:

Sometimes, because sometimes it makes me lift my eyebrows and smile a little bit.

02:03:33 - 02:03:40 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Why so sad? Maybe they should do that. Just say why. Yeah. I thought that was a rude thing to say to somebody. Yeah, you shouldn't say that.

02:03:40 - 02:03:43 | Speaker 6:

And you should never tell someone to smile either.

02:03:43 - 02:04:30 | Speaker 3:

I always will say to somebody, if I know somebody's having a bad day and I can totally tell by that thing, I'll say to them, so how's your day going? And they always give that look. And I go, man, I hope your day's going okay. And I get that. I had a person that was working at Chipotle, a lady that was working there. She was having the worst day ever. I can totally tell. She was angry. She was one of those ladies that was a beautiful woman, but she looked like she had angry face. Not resting bitch face, but angry face. She was going through something. And she gave me my stuff, and I look in my pocket to go get money because I wanted to give her cash right in her hand to give her a tip for the thing. And all I had was a $20 bill in my pocket. And I'm like, crap. Do I do it? Yes. Because honestly, it's like $20. She's not like $20 worth.

02:04:31 - 02:04:35 | Speaker 6:

But that $20 bill could change her whole day around.

02:04:36 - 02:04:38 | Speaker 3:

I gave her the $20, okay?

02:04:38 - 02:04:40 | Speaker 2:

The story gets good.

02:04:40 - 02:04:50 | Speaker 3:

No, the story gets good. I gave her the $20. She walked out in the parking lot and told me that she was having the worst day ever, and she said thank you. It was the best $20 that I had ever spent.

02:04:50 - 02:04:51 | Speaker 2:

That is so sweet.

02:04:51 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 3:

But I gave her the money because I honestly just wanted to give her a tip and just say, hey, man, I hope your day is going better. She literally followed.

02:05:00 - 02:06:36 | Speaker 2:

Followed me out into the parking lot. And then backed into his car. No, no. I just want to say. But the people that were in line were probably not happy when he left the front line to walk out. But it was awesome. But you know what? Maybe that's it, Spike. We just all need. Everybody give me $20. I might have the funniest story that I have ever told on the radio in my life. And I'm going to tell it right now. But I'm only going to tell it if listeners participate in calling up the show to call themselves out or call somebody out for this so i have not told the story about what happened to a friend of mine during the last big snowstorm that we had you guys uh you know remember how we had like the crazy amount of snow just recently well a friend of mine a buddy was so high the night after that storm came that he went out and he snowblowed his front lawn and not his front driveway. He took the snowblower, started the thing up, and started snowblowing, and it wasn't until his wife actually walked outside to take the dogs out to go to the bathroom and realized that he actually snowblowed his lawn and not his driveway he's pretty he is very pretty no he was not very high at the time so i want to ask this question i want you to fill in the blank i was once so high i blanked what did you do because you were so high

02:06:36 - 02:06:44 | Speaker 4:

priceless i got a laundry list for this the funny thing is right megan's going through a whole list

02:06:44 - 02:07:12 | Speaker 2:

like where do i start the the funny thing is i can see where this would happen because he snowblows the driveway and you don't necessarily know where the driveway starts and that he doesn't have like those sticks in his driveway or whatever like you know some people try to do that to like differentiate like where the driveway is and where the driveway isn't because you don't see it but man that is that is like totally baked um what was your high moment that you were

02:07:12 - 02:07:32 | Speaker 5:

one so high you i just i haven't it's not even once this is just a really bad habit that happens when I get high before I take a shower, I consistently get into the shower with my socks on. Completely butt naked, socks still on. Don't know why I forget that there are fuzzy things on my feet, but every time I go, those are wet socks and I got to get back out.

02:07:33 - 02:07:35 | Speaker 2:

Do you catch it right away?

02:07:35 - 02:07:52 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no, no. It's in the shower. And then you go, oh, relaxing hot shower. I feel so good. I got my show tunes on. I'm screaming. It's great. And then all of a sudden, this, like, ick comes over your whole body, and you get goosebumps, and you're like, what is that feeling? What is happening? And then you go, oh, what sucks?

02:07:53 - 02:08:56 | Speaker 2:

One of my really high moments still, and by the way, I can't believe I haven't gotten an endorsement from these guys. It's ridiculous because I know that they listen. Was the time that I ordered two large Domino's pizzas and ate them all in one sitting. I was a champ A champ of champs When I did that thing The entire pizzas And Chelsea came home And Chelsea comes and says Did you wrap up the pizza and put it back in the fridge? And I said No I ate the entire thing man Two of them You see what the large ones look like right? Domino's by the way had a two for one special Which was an amazing special What's going on? I'm trying to explain why I did two but what's going on mojo in the morning hello hello how you doing i'm doing good good i was i was one so uh one so high that i blinked i got high at lunch break at work and i went back into

02:08:56 - 02:09:08 | Speaker 3:

the building and i could not remember what machine i was working at i had to wait for everybody else to go back to the machines and then i had to find the one that nobody was at oh my goodness what

02:09:08 - 02:09:10 | Speaker 4:

What kind of machines are we working with here?

02:09:11 - 02:09:13 | Speaker 3:

Metal polishing and buffing.

02:09:13 - 02:09:19 | Speaker 4:

Oh, jeez. Oh, my God. Because, you know, there's a lot of machines that have that warning on them, right? Like, do not operate.

02:09:20 - 02:09:21 | Speaker 3:

Yep, I know.

02:09:23 - 02:09:27 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Shannon? I was once so high, I...

02:09:27 - 02:09:31 | Speaker 1:

Accidentally boiled eggs until they exploded.

02:09:32 - 02:09:34 | Speaker 2:

But was it cool or what?

02:09:35 - 02:09:46 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was, like, on a big fitness kick. And, you know, it takes 15 minutes So I went in my room to go smoke a joint And then I forgot about it And I thought someone was knocking at my door And it was eggs exploding everywhere

02:09:46 - 02:09:49 | Speaker 2:

You got the knocking noise What's up, Christy?

02:09:50 - 02:09:51 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Mojo

02:09:51 - 02:09:53 | Speaker 2:

Hey, I was once so high, I

02:09:53 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 1:

I was once so high That I ate all of my mom's appetizers That she had

02:10:00 - 02:10:02 | Speaker 3:

Prepared for her friends for a dinner party The next day

02:10:02 - 02:10:08 | Speaker 7:

What are we talking about here like spinach

02:10:08 - 02:10:16 | Speaker 3:

Dip and stuff like yeah like Spinach dip green bean casserole There was like A really really bomb Caesar salad

02:10:16 - 02:10:20 | Speaker 7:

All in One sitting that's the greatest Caesar

02:10:20 - 02:10:23 | Speaker 1:

Salad is so good when you're lit It is so good

02:10:23 - 02:10:25 | Speaker 7:

What's up Jeannie hi

02:10:25 - 02:10:38 | Speaker 1:

Hi one time I got really stoned and was in charge of ordering food for my family. And I want to do a pizza battle between Marcos and Domino's. And I end up ordering one of the places for the next day.

02:10:39 - 02:10:42 | Speaker 7:

Because you were so stoned.

02:10:42 - 02:10:50 | Speaker 1:

Yep. So I got one pizza and I would wait and I would have my camera ready wanting to video them coming at the house. Like it was going to be a whole like battle royale. Yeah.

02:10:53 - 02:11:07 | Speaker 7:

Wow. By the way, how is that pizza bowl from marco somebody needs to tell me on that one and if domino's doesn't give me an endorsement i'm going to marco's in a second here i will i will cheat on you what's up rachel hi i was once

02:11:07 - 02:11:13 | Speaker 3:

so stoned that i tried opening my house with my key fob in front of my house key

02:11:13 - 02:11:24 | Speaker 2:

that's when you realize you're doing it too do you have a ring cam do you have that on camera because i would love to post that on the mojo in the morning instagram no i wish i did

02:11:24 - 02:11:32 | Speaker 7:

The funny thing is If you were trying to lock the door You'd hear the honking sound Right Of your car What's going on Mike?

02:11:33 - 02:11:34 | Speaker 4:

Hi How you doing?

02:11:34 - 02:11:36 | Speaker 7:

Good I was one so high I

02:11:36 - 02:12:04 | Speaker 4:

Actually it was my aunt And it was around the time Kmart was still around She parked her car Went inside And had to come out And wait for the parking lot To clear To find her car That would be terrifying She sat on the curb for hours waiting for the parking lot to clear so she could find her car Man, thank God she wasn't at the mall

02:12:04 - 02:12:05 | Speaker 7:

Could you imagine what that would have been like?

02:12:06 - 02:12:09 | Speaker 4:

Be at Great Lakes Crossings and forget where you parked your car

02:12:09 - 02:12:17 | Speaker 7:

One of my favorite things that people do when they're high is what Andrea had happened Andrea, you got so high, what happened?

02:12:18 - 02:12:28 | Speaker 3:

I tried to use my keys to get out of my apartment. Oh, no, babe. Oh, no. Really? Yeah, it obviously only works from the other side.

02:12:29 - 02:12:31 | Speaker 7:

No. I just started because I've done that.

02:12:33 - 02:12:37 | Speaker 4:

I know. I'm sitting there like, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Where do I put the key? I know something's wrong.

02:12:38 - 02:12:39 | Unknown:

I can't find out.

02:12:39 - 02:12:42 | Speaker 7:

Like, does the key go here? I can't figure it out. Right, right.

02:12:42 - 02:12:44 | Speaker 2:

Just put the keys down.

02:12:44 - 02:12:46 | Speaker 7:

Thank you for the call. Yeah. Bye.

02:12:46 - 02:12:58 | Speaker 2:

Bye. it's mojo in the morning sweet five lies to tell your mom desiree yeah you want to do five lies

02:12:58 - 02:13:06 | Speaker 7:

02:13:06 - 02:13:14 | Speaker 5:

02:13:15 - 02:13:21 | Speaker 7:

All right, we're going to do five lies to tell your mom. We're going to have some fun with your mom here and hope that she doesn't hate you afterwards.

02:13:23 - 02:13:26 | Speaker 5:

Oh, she will, but it's okay. She will, I like that.

02:13:26 - 02:13:43 | Speaker 7:

Lie number one, you're going to say, Mom, remember when you took me to get my tubes tied? Lie number two, turns out they did it wrong. Lie number three, they grew back. I wonder if they could

02:13:43 - 02:13:49 | Speaker 5:

I would like to know that I know a lot of people who have had kids Oh my god

02:13:49 - 02:13:53 | Speaker 7:

So it could happen Lie number four

02:13:53 - 02:13:55 | Speaker 3:

They want me to come back for a redo

02:13:55 - 02:14:01 | Speaker 7:

And lie number five Because it's too late And I'm pregnant again

02:14:01 - 02:14:03 | Speaker 6:

I'm a little nervous now

02:14:03 - 02:14:12 | Speaker 7:

Quick question for you Do you ever feel like you Can't put this out in the universe Because if you do, it might actually happen for real

02:14:12 - 02:14:23 | Speaker 6:

I mean, it's God's work It's God's work And I'm going to sue my doctor Who tied my tubes If I get pregnant And he told me it was 100% positive

02:14:23 - 02:14:29 | Speaker 7:

Double check, okay, after we get done with five lies Here we go, we're calling your mom up Speak up nice and loud

02:14:39 - 02:14:43 | Speaker 3:

Hello?

02:14:43 - 02:14:55 | Speaker 6:

Mom. What? So, remember when you took me to get my tubes tied? Hold on.

02:15:00 - 02:16:25 | Speaker 2:

Um, I guess, yeah. Okay, well, I talked to Dr. S***'s office, and it turns out that he did it wrong. Uh, and my, um, my tubes grew back. I, S***. And, uh, they want me to come back, but I can't. What do you mean? I'm pregnant. are you crazy does um well what are you laughing about this is not funny it is a nervous laughter mom you can barely provide for the ones you got How are you going to take down four? I can't believe the tube just threw back. That's crazy. Well, it happens all the time, Mom. There's plenty of people who get pregnant after they get their tubes tied. Well, where do you think you're going to live with four kids? What's your plan? Mom. What? So you know how we like to listen to the radio all the time?

02:16:26 - 02:16:31 | Speaker 3:

Mom. What? It's mojo in the morning.

02:16:31 - 02:16:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Desiree, really seriously?

02:16:35 - 02:16:39 | Speaker 1:

That's not funny. Sounds like you got your hands full with this girl.

02:16:39 - 02:16:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I do. And I don't even think this is funny, you little a*****. I love you guys. I'm going to kill you when I get out of work, Desiree. Just know I'll be in Jackson as soon as I can.

02:16:54 - 02:17:01 | Speaker 3:

By the way, Desiree's, like, uncomfortable laughter made me feel so nervous.

02:17:03 - 02:17:10 | Speaker 2:

Right, because that's the exact moment we figured out this girl maybe needs an ass whooping or something.

02:17:10 - 02:17:12 | Speaker 1:

No, she needs her tubes tied.

02:17:15 - 02:17:18 | Speaker 3:

I'm not going to lie, Mom scared me. Yeah.

02:17:18 - 02:17:25 | Speaker 2:

Mom, she just won you a prize

02:17:25 - 02:17:26 | Speaker 3:

For five lies to tell your mom

02:17:26 - 02:17:42 | Speaker 2:

Mom, we're going to set you up with the prize

02:17:42 - 02:17:46 | Speaker 3:

Hold on, I'm going to do Desiree Mom, we're going to set you up with the prize

02:17:46 - 02:18:09 | Speaker 1:

it's mojo in the morning sweet five lies to tell your damn it's so cold i can barely stand outside for the four minutes i'm outdoors every day this is mojo in the morning

02:18:09 - 02:18:41 | Speaker 3:

the morning show a couple of things that are happening uh in the world today uh it's uh February 1st already. I cannot believe a month has already been gone from this year.

02:18:42 - 02:18:46 | Speaker 1:

That was just a rehearsal. January was the starter month. Was it? Yeah.

02:18:47 - 02:19:28 | Speaker 3:

And dry January's over for so many people. Dry January. Let's go celebrate, everybody. Let's do it. Do what I did. So I did dry October, and I felt the greatest that I ever felted in my life. I felt like I was sleeping perfectly. perfectly i lost weight and then i went to november and i made up for it and it was like that's the worst part is when you do these things like when you do that you're like okay great do i really miss it do i really need to do it and then the problem for me was everybody around me during the entire month of october was drinking like crazy uh between chelsea and our friends you know

02:19:28 - 02:19:44 | Speaker 1:

I don't know who started sober October right in the midst of football and also all the Halloween stuff. It's like it's not a good month. I'm thinking of dry February because other than the Super Bowl, there is really no reason for me to drink. I have no weekends or vacations planned. It's a short month.

02:19:45 - 02:19:47 | Speaker 3:

That's what I was thinking. I'm thinking that's a good call.

02:19:47 - 02:19:50 | Speaker 1:

Shortest month of the year. So if I'm going to be dry, it might as well be February.

02:19:51 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 3:

Maybe I need to do that because I really I will say this to you. I really did enjoy not, you know, sleeping like crap.

02:20:00 - 02:21:59 | Speaker 2:

you know waking up like like crap and I don't during the month when you weren't drinking or when yes October so so when I did October so you slept bad when you were sober when I know when I was not drinking at all I slept like I like a teenager I felt great and I woke up but the other thing the other thing that goes along with the edibles either I so I have not done edibles and in the longest time oh okay so i stopped doing them but because my heart doctor told me that he didn't want me to do it oh so and it's funny because i thought that it was because i actually just found out the reason why i went back to go to my cardiologist dr sukel he's the greatest guy ever at university of michigan i um i went back to him and he's like okay so you're not doing that you're not uh doing edibles or anything like that anymore good and i said to him hey can i ask you a question i go other people i know is have heart surgery and they've done edibles they do it for sleeping i go is there a reason like why are they doing and i'm not doing it he goes i don't want to give you any more reason to want to eat oh my god oh i thought it was over blood pressure no it was because he was like it was a trigger for you he was trying yeah he's like i don't want to give you the temptation and then i started realizing with the the the alcohol alcohol does the same thing to me too yeah where it just makes me want to you know drink like uh if i drink all i want to do is have potato chips or or that if somebody else buys me that licorice again which by the way you were the first and that was out of the goodness of your heart it was so kind of you but now everybody in my neighborhood my friend because i mentioned that i love that licorice because you know what happened everybody has been buying that licorice after they heard us talking about it and what's the name of it again it's the uh the fancy i call it fancy licorice but wally well i forget what it was it was something like and i what happens is people go and go oh i heard you talking about that on the air i want to try it and then they try it they go crazy over it and then they want to get it out of their house so they bring it over to my house well remember two years ago

02:21:59 - 02:22:09 | Speaker 3:

when you said on the air you like watermelon stiroc and then every listener who owns a party store sent you a case of vodka it's like good move but man you're gonna be a drunk yeah so it

02:22:09 - 02:22:48 | Speaker 2:

so the so the edible thing was purely for eating purposes you know that dr sukle told me to stop doing it but i don't want to go back on it i really i didn't enjoy it as much as you know i do enjoy like i've been really into bourbons lately and i i've been kind of fun that yeah i love eagle rare i love angels envy is one of my all-time favorites and so i really get into huh angels envy yes yeah that's a good one that's toledo brian right is it louisville oh i thought it was somebody from toledo because somebody sent me a bunch from toledo Oh, that was you. I was wondering who it was.

02:22:50 - 02:22:52 | Speaker 3:

Now we're back to those three gifts.

02:22:52 - 02:23:28 | Speaker 2:

This is why I need to do Sober October or Sober November and February and March and April and May and June and July. All right, so who did Dry January and today's their first day? Will you call us up and tell us how you're feeling? Where we meet. What part should we go to? Because that's how I was after doing Sober October Spike. Like, I was, like, planning. I planned my drink out. Like, I planned. I actually, you're going to make fun of me on this one here. My first drink after doing this whole thing, I had a Long Island iced tea. It's like the.

02:23:28 - 02:23:29 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh.

02:23:29 - 02:23:31 | Speaker 2:

Mike, I was trashed.

02:23:31 - 02:23:33 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I bet. It was. He was white girl wasted.

02:23:33 - 02:23:44 | Speaker 2:

It was. It was. The reason I did it was we were going out to eat with our friends, Tim and Michelle McCormick. And Tim loves those things. So, I made fun of them all the time for doing it. So I figured I'd have one with him just to, you know.

02:23:44 - 02:23:50 | Speaker 3:

I would have loved to seen the bartender's face that when you ordered a Long Island iced tea.

02:23:50 - 02:24:01 | Speaker 2:

You should see Tim McCormick order it. He's 7'1 or 7'2. It looks even, imagine the two of us together. Because no one's drinking it for taste. Yeah.

02:24:01 - 02:24:06 | Speaker 3:

And it's lunch. So you're not getting, you're not trying to get hammered.

02:24:07 - 02:24:12 | Speaker 2:

Well. So why drink it? A Long Island iced tea has every alcohol known to man in it. Yeah.

02:24:12 - 02:24:13 | Speaker 3:

And all the cheap ones, too.

02:24:14 - 02:24:35 | Speaker 2:

And it's not even, it's not a good drink. Like, to me, it just tastes like a bunch of yuck. It's like when you would go to the fountain machine and you'd put everything in the fountain, you know, in your cup. Yes. And you would have that as a little kid. That's pretty much what Long Island iced tea is like. But doing that after a sober month is not a good thing to do.

02:24:35 - 02:24:38 | Speaker 1:

Well, you say it's not. I say it's exciting.

02:24:39 - 02:24:40 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Patty?

02:24:41 - 02:24:56 | Speaker 1:

Well, hey, I just wanted to say I feel your pain. I went through a dry January, but I'm feeling so much healthier, getting better to sleep. I also gave up smoking, and I managed to lose weight. So I'm going to keep going on the health again. Wow, that's good for you.

02:24:57 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing. Thank you.

02:24:58 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 3:

It's bad enough to.

02:25:00 - 02:25:02 | Speaker 6:

That Long Island iced tea really sounds good to you.

02:25:02 - 02:25:03 | Unknown:

Oh, no, I just agree.

02:25:03 - 02:25:06 | Speaker 3:

Don't do it. It's not worth it.

02:25:06 - 02:25:11 | Speaker 6:

No, I won't. I won't. Patty. I just wanted to say good for you, and you've motivated me to keep going.

02:25:12 - 02:25:39 | Speaker 3:

You know what? Seriously, try to do it, and try to, like, I don't think that the drinking part is a bad thing. If you're doing it for maybe a celebratory, but if you're pulling out and having a drink just because you had a bad day, I don't know. To me it was a bad idea I'd rather have a drink with a group of friends And celebrate something Than just go home and just grabbing a drink To me I felt like that's what I was doing A lot

02:25:39 - 02:25:50 | Speaker 6:

I agree and you hit the nail on the head That when you're drinking you're eating all that salty And sweet stuff I was the munch monster And now I Wanted to do healthier things

02:25:50 - 02:25:53 | Speaker 3:

Yeah it was awful Thank you for the call I appreciate it

02:25:53 - 02:25:55 | Speaker 6:

Alright thank you have a good day guys

02:25:55 - 02:26:01 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Leah, you just finished up dry January. How are you feeling? It's February.

02:26:02 - 02:26:25 | Speaker 7:

I feel amazing, but I just lost count. I wasn't even counting down the days anymore because I just feel so great. Every weekend, I don't feel like absolute hell. I live out in Phoenix, so it gets wild out here, and there's a lot of drinking in Scottsdale and Old Town. It feels great, though. I think I'm going to just keep rolling with it.

02:26:25 - 02:26:25 | Speaker 2:

Keep it up.

02:26:25 - 02:26:26 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, seriously.

02:26:29 - 02:26:30 | Speaker 7:

Thanks, guys. Have a good morning.

02:26:30 - 02:26:34 | Speaker 3:

Hey, take care of yourself. Thanks for listening to us on the iHeart app. Thanks. What's going on, Joe?

02:26:35 - 02:26:53 | Speaker 4:

Hey, not too much, guys. So I just had a comment on the Long Island. Mojo said nobody drinks that for safe. I actually do drink it for safe. Every restaurant makes them different. And the best place to have Long Island at, especially if you want them to taste good, is Applebee's. They make them perfect. Come on. They're sugar.

02:26:53 - 02:26:59 | Speaker 3:

They're strong. Doesn't Applebee's just make them full of sugars and everything like that?

02:27:00 - 02:27:12 | Speaker 4:

No, it's the sweet and sour they use, and they have it measured out perfectly. So it's not like someone just pouring the liquor in there and stuff, and then all you taste is liquor. It's just perfect.

02:27:12 - 02:27:17 | Speaker 2:

Remember for a while they were doing the dollar Long Island iced teas at Applebee's?

02:27:17 - 02:27:17 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no.

02:27:17 - 02:27:19 | Speaker 2:

I don't think that promotion lasted too long.

02:27:20 - 02:27:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no. They weren't making no money on that. Right. I bought them all.

02:27:24 - 02:27:41 | Speaker 3:

Can I tell you the drink, Joe, that I got into? And I don't even want to mention it because then I'll get craving for it and I won't, you know, hold to my I'm not going to drink during the month of February. Old fashions. Have you ever had old fashions? I love old fashions.

02:27:41 - 02:27:45 | Speaker 4:

Nope, I've never had one, so I guess it's not my to try list. No, don't do it.

02:27:45 - 02:27:46 | Speaker 3:

You don't like old fashions?

02:27:47 - 02:27:48 | Speaker 1:

No, they're so bitter.

02:27:48 - 02:27:52 | Speaker 3:

You're like an old fashioned type of girl. Are you more of a Manhattan-y person?

02:27:52 - 02:28:15 | Speaker 1:

No, it's so funny. I'm not the biggest whiskey person But if I'm going to have it I'm going to do it So I have family from Louisville When I brought you that Angel's Envy I brought it from the distillery So I do the bourbon trails down there all the time I can do it straight But I don't really like bourbon mixed drinks Like Moscow Mules Those are with bourbon right? Maybe not I don't know I'm not a drinker

02:28:15 - 02:28:18 | Speaker 3:

Moscow Mules are actually pretty tasty too

02:28:18 - 02:28:19 | Speaker 1:

Those are good I like the cup

02:28:19 - 02:28:25 | Speaker 3:

The cups are the greatest I know Don't you want to just have a Coca-Cola from McDonald's in one of those cups?

02:28:25 - 02:28:29 | Speaker 2:

It just looked cool. I don't know. I wonder how the carbonation would react with those copper cups.

02:28:29 - 02:28:30 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Corey?

02:28:32 - 02:28:32 | Speaker 5:

Hi.

02:28:32 - 02:28:34 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's up? What's going on?

02:28:36 - 02:28:39 | Speaker 5:

First of all, I'm glad to know this is the right number. I've called so many times.

02:28:40 - 02:28:42 | Speaker 2:

Put us in your phone so you have it saved.

02:28:43 - 02:28:52 | Speaker 5:

I do have it. I actually have it memorized, but this was the first time I got through. Pretty cool. I did damp January is what I was dancing.

02:28:52 - 02:28:56 | Speaker 2:

Damp January. This is what I was thinking of doing. Go ahead and tell us how you did it.

02:28:57 - 02:29:05 | Speaker 5:

So I did drink during the week, just light drinking on the weekend, with a couple glasses of wine, and it was perfect. Still feel great.

02:29:06 - 02:29:11 | Speaker 3:

So damp January is where you just have, like, a couple glasses during the week, and then that's it?

02:29:12 - 02:29:17 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, right. So light drinking, a couple glasses of wine, no drinking during the week.

02:29:17 - 02:29:19 | Speaker 3:

I never heard of that. That's interesting.

02:29:19 - 02:29:36 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so, like, I feel there's one big event every month that I can take as my cheat day because like, you know, March is St. Patrick's Day, April's opening day, May is whatever, the picnics for Memorial Day. There's always like one day, February Super Bowl.

02:29:36 - 02:29:37 | Speaker 5:

There's always something.

02:29:37 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but I don't do a bad job. The problem is when I sit at a bar or a restaurant, I have two, sometimes three. So I have to tell myself I'll do damp January. I'll just have one beer at the bar or one beer with dinner. And that's only usually like twice a week. I don't drink a lot. But the problem is what you had, Mojo, when I go to the Super Bowl party or St. Patrick's Day, once I start drinking, I'm eating.

02:30:00 - 02:30:01 | Speaker 4:

Everything in the restaurant.

02:30:01 - 02:30:33 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's the word. See, sometimes people will do like a cheat day. Maybe you do like one cheat day or something like that. You know? By the way, Super Bowl, I don't drink. I think I mentioned this yesterday on the show. I'm an eater on Super Bowl. Yeah, me too. I don't want to get drunk because I have to work on Monday. Yeah. But I get food drunk. Like where I eat so much food the night of Super Bowl Sunday. And I start you start at three in the afternoon and you eat all the way until like you're, you know, trying to put stuff in your fridge at the end of the night.

02:30:33 - 02:30:53 | Speaker 4:

And you're still eating, eating it. You're eating things. I don't want to dip stack. There's only three chips left. I'll just eat. Yeah, I for me, I'm not like I'm I'm a social drinker. I don't like I don't think I get drunk more than maybe once or twice a year. I just don't drink to the point of getting drunk. But I drink and then I eat my face. Yeah, I get food drunk. Yeah.

02:30:53 - 02:30:57 | Speaker 3:

All right, well, Corey, thank you for the call. Thank you for giving the idea.

02:30:58 - 02:31:02 | Speaker 4:

She's going to be at Ford Field July 26th, which is also my brother's birthday. So sorry, Sean, not going to be at your birthday party. I'm going to be a Beyonce. If you want to know how to get your tickets, uh, we, this could be interesting with the whole ticket master thing, but here's what I got for you now. So city verified fan presale is going to be happening. So if you do have a city card, you can do that for city bank. Um, you can get them that way. Otherwise there's going to be links to register to get tickets for specific tour dates on Beyonce's website.

02:33:42 - 02:33:49 | Speaker 3:

So what's the date for July 26, July 26 band. What a June and July. This is going to be. And we have more to come.

02:33:49 - 02:33:52 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we have more to come. Big ones.

02:33:53 - 02:34:28 | Speaker 2:

Kari Crump, the defensive back for the Michigan State Spartans. He has received his sentence for his involvement in the infamous tunnel incident that happened at the game between them and U of M. He's been hit with 12 months of probation and will be required to perform 80 hours of community service. He's expressed some remorse and regret and even publicly apologized to the Michigan player for his actions. Now he's open to regain respect from the Spartans community and also the U of M community in terms of on the field and off the field. You guys, I have the saddest news in the entire world.

02:34:28 - 02:34:30 | Speaker 3:

Is it in regards to that story or a news story?

02:34:30 - 02:34:31 | Speaker 2:

New story.

02:34:31 - 02:34:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. Yes.

02:34:32 - 02:34:41 | Speaker 2:

If I had funeral music right now I would play it But get your tissues ready I don't know if you can handle this But Dr. Phil is ending his show after 21 seasons

02:34:41 - 02:34:44 | Speaker 4:

Come on Only 7 seasons too late

02:34:44 - 02:34:46 | Speaker 3:

First Tom Brady, now Dr. Phil

02:34:46 - 02:35:04 | Speaker 2:

Dr. Phil is also retiring You are drunk at a tissue level He's made the decision to stop producing new episodes And he's going to do This season, the 2022-2023 season Is going to be his last Don't worry though, you're still Thank you. gonna watch dr phil they said that they're just gonna put him on syndication for the next few

02:35:04 - 02:35:31 | Speaker 3:

years it's interesting this is like you know daytime local tv stations they're hurting right now when ellen left they lost that slot in the ratings daytime television on the local affiliates really went down none of the replacements actually seemed to work um judge judy also she left kind of did her own thing and now is on streaming streaming app yeah is it paramount or one of those things But now Dr. Phil.

02:35:31 - 02:35:40 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but Dr. Phil, actually, surprisingly, he averages about 2 million viewers per episode, which, to be fair, it is good stay-at-home sick television.

02:35:40 - 02:35:43 | Speaker 5:

How many of those are just doctor's offices have it on in the waiting room?

02:35:44 - 02:36:15 | Speaker 2:

True, true, true, true, true. Well, I think, actually, doctor's offices wouldn't carry him because he's a terrible doctor. This actually is the highest-rated daytime talk show behind Live with Kelly and Ryan, which I think is insane. Kate Middleton just launched a new Instagram page for her new foundation. Are you going to be nice? Nope, I am not. It's called the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood. This is an organization she started within the Royal Foundation with Prince William to raise awareness about the importance of the first five years of life.

02:36:16 - 02:36:30 | Speaker 1:

Today, the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood is launching a new campaign, Shaping Us, to raise awareness of the life-changing impact we can have when we build a supportive, nurturing world around children and those who care for them.

02:36:30 - 02:37:42 | Speaker 2:

Okay, let's talk about this for a second because Kate Middleton for years now has said, I'm working on my life's mission. That's, wait, I'm working on my life's mission. And it was a big prize. Thank you. I watch a lot of British television. She said that she was going to have this big announcement. I think it really started in the beginning of 2021 of like, I've got this thing coming, this big project. I'm very excited to share it with people, yada, yada, yada. And then she releases this Instagram page, and it's childhood is important. And I just want you to be aware. It's not doing anything. She, like, okay, I feel, and I'm a charity person. I'm all for charity work. When this is coming out, I was like, okay, she's not my favorite royal, but we all love when you do good deeds for others. This is going to be interesting. I'm actually pretty excited about this, especially with, like, Prince Harry and his Invictus games. Like, they do really good charitable things. That's what their family does. They take taxpayer monies and they do charity work Okay, so when this was coming I was like, alright, what's it going to be You keep hyping this up And it's just awareness that childhood is important This is like the step in what charity should be It should be, I have this goal The first step is awareness Not my goal is awareness What are you doing?

02:37:42 - 02:37:53 | Speaker 3:

One thing I realized with Megan when she does the dirty She does dirty Like when Shannon does the dirty, she does the dirty stories And kind of go, Megan does dirty and commentary At the same time, have you noticed that?

02:37:53 - 02:37:54 | Speaker 5:

She is emotionally involved.

02:37:54 - 02:37:56 | Speaker 3:

She is really emotionally involved in these stories.

02:37:56 - 02:37:57 | Speaker 2:

This stuff matters. Passion.

02:37:57 - 02:37:58 | Speaker 3:

I did not know that.

02:37:58 - 02:38:04 | Speaker 2:

It's very important that we all know that Kate Middleton is doing the bare minimum. And I want everybody to know that.

02:38:04 - 02:38:08 | Speaker 3:

You're just a caterade. It's Kate's haterade.

02:38:08 - 02:38:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't like her. Shocking. Gas, Bob, breaking news. Can't stand her.

02:38:13 - 02:38:17 | Speaker 3:

By the way, somebody just texted in and said that Maury also is retiring.

02:38:17 - 02:38:19 | Speaker 2:

Well, what are we going to watch when we're home sick?

02:38:19 - 02:38:20 | Speaker 3:

There's nothing to watch now.

02:38:20 - 02:38:28 | Speaker 5:

Please tell me, is Drew still doing the prices right? That's all we have left for. You are the fox. When I'm getting my oil changed, I need something in that waiting room.

02:38:28 - 02:38:30 | Speaker 3:

You know what's funny is I think Springer's still on, isn't he?

02:38:31 - 02:38:40 | Speaker 5:

Is he? I don't know. He's in syndication. Steve. What's the security guard? Oh, his security guard, yeah. Security guard has the job. For years.

02:38:41 - 02:38:42 | Unknown:

Shut up.

02:38:43 - 02:38:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. Well, you can check out all of today's Dirty by going to the Dirty page at mojointhemorning.com. Let's go!

02:38:49 - 02:39:06 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. And another world-famous phone scam is next. You and your new man are so happy. Which is why he's DMing his ex-girlfriend behind your back. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens tomorrow morning at 7 and 9. On Mojo in the Morning.

02:39:07 - 02:39:30 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning. Melissa says that her husband has been disrespectful about how much money that she spends on her hobby. She wants us to call David and make him think that she is being arrested. Spike is going to spoof her cell phone so that it looks like that she's calling him from her number to do this phone scam this morning.

02:39:33 - 02:39:36 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the morning. Your home of the world's famous phone scams.

02:39:39 - 02:39:47 | Speaker 5:

Hello, Dave. Hello, yourself. I'm looking for David, please. Do you know a Mrs. Melissa c***y?

02:39:48 - 02:39:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. What you doing with her from?

02:39:50 - 02:39:58 | Speaker 5:

My name is Aubrey Graham, and I'm the assistant manager at J***ing Fabrics over on Hall Road. We have your wife here in the back room with us right now.

02:40:00 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

02:40:01 - 02:40:08 | Speaker 2:

Well, you tell me. We caught Melissa shoplifting. What? Yeah, police are talking to her now. Stop, stop.

02:40:08 - 02:40:09 | Speaker 3:

Wait, wait, where are you at?

02:40:09 - 02:40:19 | Speaker 2:

In the back room at our store, and police are talking to her now, but she asked me to call you and give you the info because she wants you to meet her down at the police station. They're going to be taking her in.

02:40:20 - 02:40:22 | Speaker 3:

Hold on. No, no, you got the wrong person.

02:40:23 - 02:40:40 | Speaker 2:

I'm serious. One of our employees witnessed her put some yarn in her coat, and that was reported to our law. Some yarn? Yeah. Sir, she was reported to our lost prevention officer who was waiting for her to exit the store, at which time he stopped her and found she had all kinds of knitting supplies in her coat.

02:40:40 - 02:40:41 | Unknown:

Let me talk to her.

02:40:42 - 02:40:56 | Speaker 2:

Well, I can't let you talk to her. She's discussing with the police. Melissa asked me to dial your contact and let you know she's going to be taken down to the police station. Okay, give me the address. I'm coming down there now. You might want to contact a lawyer, too, because I got to tell you, she had a...

02:40:56 - 02:41:02 | Speaker 3:

A lawyer for a shoplifting yarn? First of all, I know she didn't even do that. It wasn't just yarn, sir?

02:41:02 - 02:41:11 | Speaker 2:

Well, sir, she had also stuffed a Needlemaster interchangeable needle system up her sleeve. That's priced at almost $180. A what? I know.

02:41:11 - 02:41:13 | Speaker 3:

What are you even talking about right now?

02:41:13 - 02:41:19 | Speaker 2:

That's what I'm saying. She was clear as day smuggling crochet and knitting supplies by the pound. Sounds like they're going to take her down.

02:41:19 - 02:41:26 | Speaker 3:

That is a lie. She would never do nothing like that. She's one of our best customers. I'm always joking that she puts too much on the visa.

02:41:27 - 02:41:33 | Speaker 2:

Well, sir, maybe you're pressuring her too much there, and your jokes are being taken seriously. Maybe she didn't want to spend any more money.

02:41:34 - 02:41:35 | Speaker 3:

This whole thing is a joke.

02:41:36 - 02:41:43 | Speaker 2:

Are things okay at home? What are you talking about? She doesn't have a history of stealing, does she?

02:41:43 - 02:41:46 | Speaker 3:

Well, you're being disrespectful. Just tell me where you're at right now. I'm in Clinton Township.

02:41:47 - 02:42:10 | Speaker 2:

My name's Aubrey Pisces, and the crazies come out every winter when we have our Yarnormus sale. everybody's coming around getting all the yarn, but I got to say, we got to watch for those shoplifters. Hold on, sir. Hang on. She's removing her sweater. Ma'am, you can't take your clothes off in the store. Are you shitting me right now? And she said you're actually on the Mojo in the morning show right now. You've just been phone scammed.

02:42:11 - 02:42:13 | Unknown:

Oh, man.

02:42:15 - 02:42:24 | Speaker 3:

David, she set you up. Man, y'all really had me tight. I was about to come down there. I promise you. I know. That's why I wanted to end this thing. Wow. So, is that what we're doing, babe?

02:42:27 - 02:42:31 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you.

02:42:33 - 02:42:36 | Speaker 2:

Your home of the world-famous phone scams. Mojo in the morning.

02:42:43 - 02:43:06 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning. Home of the phone scams, the War of the Roses, and the Dirty on the 30. We're going to play a little contest here. We all know how much we love, or I'm sorry, I love contests. I do love contests. Why did I get so excited when I said that? I was like a little kid. I'm getting excited there.

02:43:06 - 02:43:10 | Speaker 2:

From the very beginning, we said you should have been born a game show host.

02:43:10 - 02:43:18 | Speaker 1:

I really should have been. Hi, it's Stink Martindale here. Welcome to... Wait, no, hold on.

02:43:49 - 02:43:53 | Speaker 1:

He, you know, listen, it should, right? Yeah. I mean, think about everything.

02:43:53 - 02:43:54 | Speaker 2:

That's been decades that guy was.

02:43:54 - 02:45:31 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's big. All right, so here's the contest, you guys. All right. Well, it was enjoyed in the morning. It was warm, sweet, and cream filled. Oh, my God.

02:45:43 - 02:45:49 | Speaker 1:

Hold on a second. That, to me, sounds exactly like a donut.

02:45:50 - 02:45:52 | Speaker 4:

I'm praying. I am praying for that answer.

02:45:54 - 02:45:56 | Speaker 2:

Well, I've done it. Oh, no!

02:45:58 - 02:46:06 | Speaker 1:

Congratulations. Oh, my God. Well, hey, you don't win a prize, but you already got yours, so you don't need one.

02:46:06 - 02:46:08 | Speaker 2:

I'm a father of five. I got five prizes.

02:46:08 - 02:46:15 | Speaker 1:

Oh, isn't that beautiful? Oh, that's awesome. All right, let's go to the next contestant here. Edward. Hi, Edward.

02:46:16 - 02:46:17 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mojo.

02:46:17 - 02:46:23 | Speaker 1:

How you doing, Edward? Describe what it was, Edward, and then we have to guess. Donut or done it?

02:46:24 - 02:46:31 | Speaker 4:

Okay, okay. It was late at night. It was soft. It was pink. And then, surprisingly, I had two.

02:46:33 - 02:46:52 | Speaker 1:

Come on. You know what that is, right? We all know what that is. That's a donut. It's got to be. It's a strawberry cream donut. Yay! Nice. I thought he was bragging for a minute. I know. Same. Edward, if you changed your guess on that one, I would have been so upset with you on that.

02:46:52 - 02:47:08 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no. I'm a stand-up guy. I was late night with some wine by myself, knocking back some drinks. And I'm just like, yo, they got donuts in this vending machine? So I tried to indulge. I couldn't just have one. It's so good. I'll join you next time.

02:47:08 - 02:47:15 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we need to find that vending machine right now. Tanya, you're next up here right now for Donut or Dunnit.

02:47:17 - 02:47:20 | Speaker 2:

Well, hello, Mojo. First off, I need some clarification.

02:47:21 - 02:47:21 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

02:47:21 - 02:47:25 | Speaker 2:

Um Does it count if I was by myself

02:47:25 - 02:47:42 | Speaker 1:

You know what That sure does count I'll move to the next call then Because I know exactly what it is Come on It had to be that you were with With yourself You were Yeah It was It was It was done it

02:47:42 - 02:47:44 | Speaker 2:

02:47:44 - 02:47:58 | Speaker 1:

I knew it Yes Because listen I will tell you this I've had many a donut by myself but I never actually get that excited about it. You know? I don't know. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it.

02:47:58 - 02:48:01 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes I'm good. Well, I'm still winning either way.

02:48:01 - 02:48:09 | Speaker 1:

I know, that is true. Hold on, let me get it. Donnie, you're up next. Hi, Donnie.

02:48:09 - 02:48:10 | Speaker 2:

Good morning.

02:48:11 - 02:48:15 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, Donnie. Donnie, please, donut or dunnit, describe for us.

02:48:16 - 02:48:18 | Speaker 2:

I'm just going to say something was glazed.

02:48:19 - 02:48:24 | Speaker 1:

Oh my God. Again, again, it's got to be a donut.

02:48:25 - 02:48:27 | Speaker 3:

I don't think so. I think she's a little... Dump that.

02:48:27 - 02:48:29 | Speaker 1:

Everybody dump that. Everybody dump that.

02:48:29 - 02:48:33 | Speaker 3:

See, the reason we're using euphemisms is we don't want to be dirty.

02:48:33 - 02:48:58 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. By the way... You're a dirty girl. Oh, congratulations. Yeah. Oh, yes. By the way, don't ever let Donnie call the show again. and she's been now banned from the show for, like, a week. My goodness. Congratulations. Last up, David. David, we've been doing pretty good with this thing. I think we've been able to guess donut or done it pretty good.

02:49:00 - 02:49:12 | Speaker 3:

Fabulous. Vanilla. Only winners get sprinkles and done in, like, ten seconds. Well, done it.

02:49:13 - 02:49:18 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I could eat a donut pretty fast. I could do it under ten seconds.

02:49:18 - 02:49:21 | Speaker 3:

If you're saying sprinkles, you're either real kinky or we're just going to guess donut.

02:49:21 - 02:49:22 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to say donut.

02:49:22 - 02:49:27 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's got to be. I can smash a donut in under 10 seconds. Yes.

02:49:30 - 02:49:35 | Speaker 1:

And by the way, you should be proud of that. I think that's a proud moment there for you. Congratulations.

02:49:36 - 02:49:49 | Speaker 3:

See if you can guess mine, okay? Yes. I couldn't wait. I just had to eat it in my car, and it made my pants tight. I don't like this.

02:49:51 - 02:49:53 | Speaker 1:

You're not going to guess? Megan's wishing she was back in Toledo.

02:49:55 - 02:49:56 | Speaker 4:

Don't look me in the eyes while you're doing these clues.

02:49:57 - 02:50:02 | Speaker 1:

It's not a donut. It's a dozen donuts. I ate a lot of them.

02:50:04 - 02:50:08 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning show. Megan did it by accident.

02:50:09 - 02:50:09 | Speaker 3:

Oh.

02:50:11 - 02:50:14 | Speaker 2:

But I think that it's a good accident, Megan.

02:50:14 - 02:50:26 | Speaker 4:

No, I don't think so. Because I'm dumb, but we all knew that. But I don't know how I did this, all right? I was ordering myself some new clothes. Thank you for noticing, guys. I really appreciated all the compliments today.

02:50:26 - 02:50:27 | Speaker 1:

We're men. You should know we're not going to know.

02:50:27 - 02:50:29 | Speaker 2:

Wait, you haven't worn that before?

02:50:29 - 02:50:33 | Speaker 1:

Nope. Oh, that's nice. Didn't you wear that yesterday?

02:50:34 - 02:50:37 | Speaker 3:

I like the new outfit, even though I'm in the other studio and can't see you at all.

02:50:37 - 02:50:39 | Speaker 4:

Mike would have noticed. You know what? Mike would have noticed.

02:50:39 - 02:50:42 | Speaker 1:

Did you not have a striped sweater and overalls on yesterday?

02:50:42 - 02:50:44 | Speaker 4:

I literally had a sweatshirt and yoga pants on yesterday.

02:50:44 - 02:50:51 | Speaker 2:

You know what's weird about this is the perception. I'm only supposed to be perceptive to one woman, and that is my wife.

02:50:51 - 02:50:54 | Speaker 4:

You know what? Fair. That is fair. That is fair. Right, Mike?

02:50:54 - 02:50:55 | Speaker 2:

You know this.

02:50:55 - 02:50:56 | Speaker 4:

I get it.

02:50:56 - 02:50:59 | Speaker 2:

And if you're not perceptive to her, you get in trouble.

02:51:01 - 02:51:07 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes you've got to be overly perceptive and think that you saw something. And if you didn't, you just go, oh, my bad. That's a sign.

02:51:07 - 02:52:22 | Speaker 4:

That is true. That is true. Well, I was going to sue some of the boxes of the clothes that I had ordered. And I threw this tap on and I realized I was going to post it on social media. I took a picture and then I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror again. and I realized the top that I was wearing wasn't meant to be worn as a top because I had accidentally bought lingerie and it was completely see-through and I was so close to putting it on my Instagram stories before I caught it I was literally like hitting it and then I zoomed in was like wait that's not supposed to be the photograph and what I had seen was when I I had bought this it was because I am a sucker for a good Instagram ad and I saw it and I clicked on it and I immediately went to buy it but they had edited it for instagram because you can't you know free free the tatas on instagram so it was edited but by the time i got it i realized i had paid 80 for a top that was actually lingerie and i don't know if you guys know this i'm i'm not with anybody so i bought 80 of lingerie to now sit in a drawer and remind me of how lonely and single that i I can't return it. I can't return it. I'm so mad.

02:52:23 - 02:52:31 | Speaker 2:

I'll see women that will wear like a coat over like a blouse. Yes. And the blouse looks like it's lingerie.

02:52:31 - 02:52:50 | Speaker 4:

Usually it is. And here's the thing. A lot of girls wear black lingerie as tufts, and I think it is so hot. Like, get it, girls. But they're usually wearing like black bras under them, so it's just not complete. The lingerie I bought was accidentally red as well. I don't know what Jaime was thinking. But Tommy was like, this is going to be a lit fit, and it's not.

02:52:50 - 02:52:54 | Speaker 2:

What was it titled as? Like, what was the actual title of the thing?

02:52:54 - 02:52:57 | Speaker 4:

Lace top. Lace top. Or lace bodysuit.

02:52:57 - 02:53:16 | Speaker 2:

And when you bought it, did you have to, like, you know, you go in sometimes, like, to buy something online. It will say, you know, it will say, like, for guys, it will say pants, shirts, and then it will say, like, for underwear and things like that, it will say, like, nighttime essentials or something like that.

02:53:16 - 02:53:28 | Speaker 4:

It was just under bodysuits, but it's clearly lingerie. But I feel like this happens a lot specifically on Instagram with their ads, where they advertise it as one thing, and then you buy it, you get something completely different.

02:53:29 - 02:53:40 | Speaker 1:

Does the word lingerie have a negative connotation now for an audience that now wants to buy stuff for themselves instead of to be gift wrapped for someone else?

02:53:40 - 02:53:59 | Speaker 4:

I don't know if it has a negative connotation or if enough people my age don't know how to spell lingerie to the point where when I was writing this topic, I had to voice to text the word lingerie because I was so off. It didn't even recognize what I was trying to spell. And so I think they just say lace bodysuit because it's a lot easier to type in.

02:53:59 - 02:53:59 | Speaker 2:

You know, it's funny.

02:53:59 - 02:54:06 | Speaker 4:

I also had difficulty putting this on our topic sheet. Lingerie is a difficult word. It's tricky.

02:54:06 - 02:54:18 | Speaker 2:

guys kp i i can't figure out when i'm doing topics i don't know how to spell restaurant for some reason restaurant is a word that i i don't know and i have to have spell check change

02:54:18 - 02:54:26 | Speaker 1:

you impress me because sometimes you'll get things by spell check i'm like how did he get that that's spelled so poorly that the phone didn't even pick up what he was trying but you

02:54:26 - 02:54:30 | Speaker 2:

have to admit though lingerie is a tough word to say no because when i was young i remember my dad

02:54:30 - 02:54:35 | Speaker 1:

saying Lingiri all the time. That's a dumb joke. So I just always picture Lingiri.

02:54:35 - 02:54:36 | Unknown:

That's so funny.

02:54:37 - 02:54:40 | Speaker 4:

That and character. I can't spell character to save my life.

02:54:40 - 02:54:47 | Speaker 2:

So if you buy this, if you buy it and it's lingerie, is that a bad thing? Maybe that's telling you something.

02:54:47 - 02:54:49 | Speaker 4:

No. What, telling me you're lonely?

02:54:49 - 02:54:54 | Speaker 2:

Maybe, no. Maybe you need... Why can't you wear lingerie to bed by yourself?

02:54:55 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I'm sorry. Who do you think I am? I'm a 4XL t-shirt, no underwear kind of girl.

02:55:00 - 02:55:11 | Speaker 6:

to sleep in i am not putting on lingerie to be by myself are there a bodysuit oh my god i literally sleep in a thick ass face mask because i'm getting old like what do you think is happening in my

02:55:11 - 02:55:26 | Speaker 1:

02:55:26 - 02:55:31 | Speaker 6:

02:55:31 - 02:55:37 | Speaker 1:

02:55:43 - 02:56:00 | Speaker 1:

not just going to be in the bedroom my favorite is when chelsea will wear something to bed like like and it's got a silky feel to it and i instantly in my head think we're gonna have sex and then i realize she just wants to be comfortable you know i mean like if she wears like a like a tank top or something like that well a lot of lingerie is not comfortable right

02:56:00 - 02:56:23 | Speaker 6:

no so it's not for sleeping no it's not even to wear for a long amount of time like the girls that wear it to go out on a date to like strip down at the end of the night you are elite you are better than the rest of us i don't know how you can stand it because i am the i'm putting it and you will be waiting in the bedroom and I will see you in 30 seconds and this better be off within five minutes.

02:56:23 - 02:56:30 | Speaker 2:

You're right. Those girls that wore it under their outfit and for six hours they are uncomfortable knowing the man is going to tear it off in the first two minutes. Yes.

02:56:30 - 02:56:38 | Speaker 1:

What happens if they get stood up on their date and they're wearing it? That's got to be depressing at the end of the night when you're taking off your clothes. What's up, Michelle?

02:56:40 - 02:56:46 | Speaker 4:

Hi. When I was in basic training, I would wear lingerie underneath my BDUs just to feel a little more feminine. She is a badass.

02:56:47 - 02:56:47 | Speaker 1:

That is badass.

02:56:47 - 02:56:49 | Speaker 4:

You're better than the rest of us

02:56:49 - 02:57:00 | Speaker 1:

That's wild So did it work for you Like if you're doing your combat Duties and stuff like that Did you feel a little sexy while you were doing it

02:57:00 - 02:57:02 | Speaker 3:

Absolutely

02:57:02 - 02:57:04 | Speaker 1:

That's crazy man

02:57:04 - 02:57:10 | Speaker 3:

I've seen some of those guys Their uniform with their little nice high and tight haircuts Yep For a great day

02:57:10 - 02:57:21 | Speaker 1:

That's awesome 844 Mojo Live 844-665-6548 Oh, I lost you. Let's go to you then. Listener Megan. Hello, Megan.

02:57:22 - 02:57:23 | Speaker 5:

Hello. Good morning.

02:57:23 - 02:57:27 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. Megan says that she will not wear lingerie unless she's with somebody else.

02:57:28 - 02:57:59 | Speaker 5:

I feel her on that, okay? And I am very much so an underwear and T-shirt kind of gal myself, so I totally feel her on that. But when I want to feel a little nice about myself, I remember that there's cute little silky nighty, like, little, like, nightgowns that are still, like, the vibe of, like, a big T-shirt, but you still get to wear, you know, like, underwear or whatever. But you get to feel a little sexy about yourself. There's nothing wrong with that, Megan, because you're beautiful.

02:57:59 - 02:58:05 | Speaker 6:

I love you. But why would I treat myself to silk when I can Winnie the Pooh it in cheap cotton from Walmart?

02:58:05 - 02:58:13 | Speaker 5:

I'm not going to argue with you on that I'm not going to argue I love me a nice big baggy t-shirt I'm not even going to fight you on that

02:58:13 - 02:58:20 | Speaker 6:

I wish I could Winnie the Pooh it all the time That's truly where I thrive It's just a giant t-shirt

02:58:20 - 02:58:23 | Speaker 5:

You can pull anything off Because you're beautiful

02:58:23 - 02:58:26 | Speaker 2:

We need her to call every day

02:58:26 - 02:58:32 | Speaker 5:

Call me before bed will you I love you guys

02:58:32 - 02:59:17 | Speaker 1:

We love you too Take care of yourself So we had two big breaking news stories this morning. One just came out. We actually didn't get to report this, but the FBI is currently searching President Biden's now beach home for more documents. So now that story continues. I didn't realize the guy had a beach home, but I guess he has got a separate home than that Delaware home. He's got a beach home on, I can't pronounce this. Rehoboth Is it Rehoboth Beach? Is that right? Rehoboth Beach It's a separate home From the home that he has In Wilmington, Delaware that he goes to on the weekends

02:59:17 - 02:59:21 | Speaker 6:

This is going to sound extra dumb But I have no idea Delaware had beaches

02:59:21 - 02:59:46 | Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, Rehoboth is a gorgeous beach And it's also a huge Gay hangout It is a really big destination For the lifestyle So everybody there caters to it It's beautiful And then didn't I hear They admitted they searched his house Back in October or November Whenever his staff found those Whenever they turned over Those documents that they found

02:59:46 - 03:00:27 | Speaker 1:

They searched the home And then they did a research Even like as early as Like a couple of weeks ago That they did some research on this thing Not research every other Their former president is, like, going through their basement boxes right now. No, they told them to all go through. Yeah. That story was a story that came out, I think it might have been over last weekend, where they all came out and they all said that you have to go through it. And President Clinton, Obama, and Bush Jr. all came out and said that they didn't have anything. And then I think it was the Bush family that came out and said that Bush 1 did not have anything.

03:00:28 - 03:00:40 | Speaker 4:

They had to be sure, right? Because they were starting to replay all those old clips of Vice President Pence commenting on it before his staff found his stuff. So it was like, no one wants to open their mouth now until they're 100%.

03:00:40 - 03:02:30 | Speaker 1:

Breaking news here this morning. Megan, you reported this in The Dirty earlier this week. But did you hear that guy, Benjamin Foster, was found? And he was the guy that, Benjamin Foster was the guy that was raping women. Remember, he was on the singles dating sites. Dead. What? Self-inflicted gunshot wound. Oh, wow. So dead, according to a report that is out this morning. They actually had him surrounded, and they believe that he took his life at that time. He's the guy who Megan talked about in The Dirty, and it was a big story on a lot of the evening newscasts, the evening nightly news, that he was going from different states on the West Coast, I think like Oregon and like Nevada, and he would go on a dating site, and he was like this guy that was a really good-looking guy, and he would go on dates and then kill people, kind of doing like a Ted Bundy type of a situation. And then another story that's a big one this morning, a man with a rifle opens fire in a Target store in Omaha, Nebraska, sending panic to customers. They believe that it could have been a really bad situation, But the police were on the scene and then ended up shooting the gunmen. A lot of people suspect that this could have been another mass shooting that took place there. But the police were right there and they just had active shooter training that took place that current week. And a lot of the police officers that were there at that time were some of the people that were at that active shooting. So people are saying that that was good that these local police forces and sheriff's departments are doing that. The missing monkey has been found. Two of them. You remember the Dallas Zoo story from yesterday? We're doing a lot of, like, recaps and stuff.

03:02:30 - 03:02:32 | Speaker 4:

This story just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

03:02:32 - 03:02:48 | Speaker 1:

The two monkeys were stolen from the Dallas Zoo. They were found in an abandoned home a day after they disappeared. No arrests have been made. The Dallas police said that they found the two emperor, is it Temerian monkeys?

03:02:49 - 03:02:51 | Speaker 4:

I think so. It's called Rehoboth Beach.

03:02:52 - 03:03:10 | Speaker 1:

They were found in an empty home south of Dallas. They found them in a safe in a closet. The monkeys were returned to the zoo. The monkeys were missing from the enclosure on Monday, and then the video came out of somebody taking them on Tuesday.

03:03:11 - 03:03:35 | Speaker 4:

what do you think this this story is like my hunch is it's a bitter staff member or bitter former staff member because all the stories lend me to believe it's somebody with access and information they know where the cameras are they know how to get to the animals um but it's not like an activist trying to save the animals because they in other incidents they killed animals yeah it's crazy yeah and they wouldn't leave them alone in a closet if they

03:03:35 - 03:03:51 | Speaker 1:

really cared for the animals here's a story that you guys got to pay attention to did you hear this story about the coach that suited up in a basketball uniform and posed as a high school student and played on the team's basketball team.

03:03:51 - 03:03:53 | Speaker 4:

I think it's great.

03:03:53 - 03:04:02 | Speaker 1:

It was in Virginia, and it was a girls basketball coach who suited up, got on the court, and actually had a really good game.

03:04:03 - 03:04:09 | Speaker 2:

Scandal on the court in Virginia in this junior varsity girls basketball game with a coach posing as a player.

03:04:09 - 03:04:13 | Speaker 3:

The biggest thing that we heard that we felt disappointment.

03:04:13 - 03:04:33 | Speaker 2:

The player in the black jersey wearing number one with the slick moves, scoring baskets, and high-fiving other players was no player at all. She's Arlisha Boykins, a member of the Churchland Truckers coaching staff. Boykins suiting up and playing as if she were a student in a weekend game against the Nansemond River Warriors last month.

03:04:33 - 03:04:43 | Speaker 3:

When adults commit to being a coach, they take on a lot of responsibility. Adults who fail to live up to those expectations fail our students.

03:04:43 - 03:05:19 | Speaker 2:

Portsmouth Public Schools District says the game was held at Nancement River and no Churchland administrators were there, saying they immediately investigated when it was reported. The fallout leading players on both the junior varsity and varsity girls teams to call it quits. The district says players from both teams expressed they did not want to continue this season. The team's remaining opponents and officials have been notified. As for the coach, the district says Arlesha Boykins is no longer an employee. Her last day of work was January 25th. The head coach for the junior varsity team was also fired.

03:05:19 - 03:06:13 | Speaker 3:

It's amazing that they say that this happened like seven years ago in the same district where a coach suited up in a uniform and started playing. I know. It's just nuts. And then this last story to me is like a good story. It needs to actually happen. A bill proposed would keep drivers in Florida out of the left lane if you're not passing. Can we get this in Ohio, please? A Florida lawmaker is trying to pass a bill that would keep drivers from just driving slow in the left lane. The law would only apply on roads or highways where the speed limit is at least 65 miles an hour. If passing this law, the police could go stop you and ticket you if you're just in that lane driving.

03:06:13 - 03:06:14 | Speaker 1:

I'm for it.

03:06:14 - 03:06:17 | Speaker 3:

I actually kind of think that that's a good idea, too.

03:06:17 - 03:06:34 | Speaker 1:

Michigan has a similar law where they say the left lane of any Michigan State Highway is for passing only, and you must move to the right if blocking traffic. But obviously, the heavier the traffic, the more lenient, because if all people are moving in the same speed, then they can't really pull you over for blocking traffic.

03:06:35 - 03:06:54 | Speaker 3:

Have a great day. We will be back tomorrow morning. War of the Roses tomorrow. Make sure that you're listening for that. Plus, more Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and paying your bills. A lot of good prizes. See ya. Bye. 20-plus years of idiocy and still going in Detroit, Toledo, and West Michigan.

03:06:54 - 03:06:56 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Morning.
