00:02:30 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 4:

And this is wild. I love it. It's like, Mike, I want to wish a happy birthday to Alexander for his eighth birthday and play any Eminem song for him because there is nothing that says happy eighth birthday than an Eminem song. All right. You want me to go back, like way back, or how back do you want me to go?

00:02:49 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 3:

You can play anything. He knows every single one of them.

00:02:52 - 00:02:58 | Speaker 4:

Come on. You let your 8-year-old listen to Eminem. Hopefully, it's like the nice versions of songs. Is that right?

00:02:59 - 00:03:01 | Speaker 3:

Yes, the edited version, for sure.

00:03:01 - 00:03:05 | Speaker 4:

You are listening to

00:03:50 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 4:

It's going to be a little tough one here today. I'm hungover. Welcome to the Mojo, the Mojo in the Morning Show. This is the Mojo, Mojo in the Morning Show. We have got your Mojo, Mojo in the Morning Show. welcome to the mojo in the morning show oh my god

00:04:19 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 1:

what did you drink

00:04:20 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

can I tell you what happened so friends are in town our friends Dennis and Leah and their son Max this is like a wild story but Chelsea and Leah grew up together they were best friends since like kindergarten Max and Luke are the same age, Max is going to be going to Michigan State like Luke's going to Michigan State. Is that not the coolest story ever? That best friends since kindergarten's kids are going to the same college together, you know, and he's from California. They're actually from California. So they came in to visit. So Chelsea ended up saying, hey, you should go out, you know,

00:05:00 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 1:

take Dennis out and do like a guy's night. But you can't do it on Friday because we're doing like a whole family night. And then we can't do it on Saturday because we're going to Michigan State and then they fly out on Sunday. I'm going, wait, I got to work on, you know, it's kind of a tough one. So she ended up getting me car service. So she got top-notch limousines to come and pick us up in a car and take us. We went downtown. And so we had roadies, as you kids call them. And I roadied too hard And I got really really drunk Even before we Got anywhere And I am like What was your roadie? It was bourbon

00:05:43 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 3:

Oh lord

00:05:45 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 1:

You're not supposed to roadie I don't think The brown hard stuff

00:05:49 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 3:

You can roadie anything It's just how much are we roadieing?

00:05:54 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 1:

Well I too much To the point I didn't get to bed last night until 1245 because on the way home we were starving and I did not know this. Maybe you guys did. But Red Coat Tavern is open until like midnight or 1 o'clock in the morning, even during the week. Who goes there? The place was packed, by the way. It was craziness. And I know it's Thursday night and Thursday night is kind of a thing. for those in Grand Rapids and Toledo this place is like voted like best burger in Detroit forever but the place is open till late and I think on the weekends it's open till like 2 or 3 in the morning or something like that but we ended up stopping off and eating and I got a burger right here it's like literally stuck in my stomach and just awful I almost it's one of those things where I almost wish I was nauseous enough just to get rid of

00:06:48 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 3:

it you know oh yeah but

00:06:50 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 1:

it got me thinking about bar foods in late night food fair because nowadays it's not as fun as it was five years ago. There used to be a lot of places that were open late and now nobody wants to be open late anymore.

00:07:06 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 3:

I know, I know. And there are a few places that you can door dash, but the list is very, very small.

00:07:13 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 1:

It's crazy, but it's like, you know, it used to be back in the day that you could go to, I don't know, even Taco Bell drive-thru late at night.

00:07:22 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. Plus, DoorDash isn't fun late at night because you lose your buzz and you're waiting for the food and then you're getting sleepy. Like, you want that food instantly.

00:07:29 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and the best is walking into, like, a Grand Coney or a Waffle House where everybody is. Yes. Yes.

00:07:35 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 3:

Danny's back in the day.

00:07:36 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 1:

I wish we had a Waffle House. You posted on your social. Where was that Waffle House that you were?

00:07:40 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I wasn't there. That was somebody who made a funny video about them.

00:07:43 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, it was? Okay. I went through and I saw that and I thought, Waffle House would be so great. Megan's like the lucky one here of all of us.

00:07:52 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 2:

We've got to drive at least three, four hours.

00:07:54 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 1:

What is the best late night fare? You'll have to share with us and tell us what that was like or what's the best to eat. Is Raising Cane's open that late?

00:08:07 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. That's a great question. I don't feel like they're open super late.

00:08:12 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 2:

Have you ever gotten Raising Cane's for breakfast in the way in? Because Megan always has, like, questionable breakfasts. Hey, hey.

00:08:23 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 4:

Raising Cane's is open from 10 a.m. until 12 a.m. But I will tell you, there have been many mornings where usually Waffle House for me is late night food. But if I get up early enough, I'll get it before the show and I'll come in with it.

00:08:34 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 1:

Raising Cane's, though, at 1130 would be great. I still have never, ever had it.

00:08:39 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 4:

It's so good sometimes. The sauce and the toast, chef's kiss. The chicken and the fries, meh. The sweet tea, blow your mind.

00:08:54 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 1:

Good stuff, I love it. By the way, that's what I need right now. I need like a big old sugar. What's the best hangover remedy, like food-wise or drink-wise? More roadies.

00:09:03 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 4:

People are saying it's McDonald's Coke, but it's sweet tea.

00:09:05 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 1:

Shannon, you remember what she said? I just passed right over everybody's head. Roadies, just keep going. Another roadie. Another one? Yep.

00:09:12 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 2:

Ain't be hungover if you don't stop drinking.

00:09:13 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 3:

A little mimosa, a little Bloody Mary. You're going to be good. You're going to be just fine.

00:09:18 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 1:

This was so cute. So last night we're out and we're hanging out. And, Mike, you sent us the text of your kids at Disney World. Yes. And I'm looking at the pictures and we're drinking, you know, hanging out at a bar. And as we're drinking, everybody's looking going, oh, look at that cute family. Oh, look at that cute family. I go, yeah, they're in Disney World. And my buddy Dennis goes, I don't think that's Disney World. He goes, I think I've seen what Disney World looks like. That's not Disney World. How was, by the way, Disney on ice last night? Those that missed it, Mike's kids thought they were going to Disney World. My daughter must have told a bunch of friends at school, and I think somebody might.

00:10:00 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 2:

have told her the truth because we walked in and it only took her a few minutes and she went dad this is not disney world but it didn't matter to my son the second my son saw mickey and minnie and all that he lit up like a like a an excited little kid like went nuts that's awesome they serve alcohol at van andel for that sure do oh that's good oh how do you think parents get through that yeah you know what i like though about uh and this is i've gone a couple times now but i didn't realize this the first time i went it's one of the only places where it's a giant arena full of very patient parents like if you run in front of somebody or you step on somebody anybody cares

00:10:37 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 3:

yes yeah yeah yeah you know what they paid a lot of money for those tickets yeah so they and they realize their kids probably are going to step on somebody too so and they're and they're full of

00:10:48 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 2:

alcohol because they're all giant cans it's not there's no small servings there what they should

00:10:53 - 00:10:59 | Speaker 3:

do is they should actually put the parents' alcohol in one of those cups that lights up and twirls around and stuff like that.

00:10:59 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 5:

I would buy one.

00:11:00 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 3:

Anita, what's a good hangover food?

00:11:05 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 5:

Chili cheese fries from National Coney Island. At 2 o'clock in the morning is the best thing

00:11:11 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 3:

ever. It's funny. I almost took him in Detroit. Have you ever gone to American Coney Island? I almost went to American Coney Island and I'm like, no, let's just go out and get home because I want to get home and then I thought, oh, we got to stop somewhere uh but god chili cheese fries does sound good right now what's up tanya

00:11:29 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 5:

good morning happy friday happy friday please don't talk so loud thank you how come nobody has mentioned the iconic white castle oh i'd throw up oh i would too

00:11:42 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 3:

i know it's good it soaks up the grease soaks up the the alcohol the grease does

00:11:49 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 5:

That's what we would do in high school. And also, like Shannon said, Denny's.

00:11:54 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 1:

Denny's. Oh, my God. The sampler platter at one in the morning was the best thing ever.

00:11:59 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 3:

What's your favorite thing on a sampler platter?

00:12:00 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 1:

The chicken tenders.

00:12:01 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 3:

See, I like the mozzarella sticks. Those things were fire.

00:12:06 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no, we used to sit there and just drink the coffee and have cigarettes.

00:12:12 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 3:

Actually, the other thing to it there is the hash browns. They have like, you know, the ones that are shredded hash browns. Those things were so good. Yeah. All right. Thank you. Well, thank you for the call. By the way, I have like a, I'm not kidding you. The nausea comes when I start thinking about certain things. And just a second ago, thinking about, and I don't know why it is. What are the things that the little, they're like little onion things that they have at White Castle. The smell of those things.

00:12:42 - 00:12:44 | Speaker 1:

Little onion things? Yeah. Onion rings?

00:12:44 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 3:

Well, maybe that's what it's called. What do you people in America call those things?

00:12:51 - 00:12:59 | Speaker 4:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:13:00 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 3:

All three happened in the same year. It was the year that Disney announced that they would be buying Lucasfilms, which of course includes the Star Wars franchise. Our hearts were broken this year. when Jelena broke up. What is this? Jelena had broken up Justin Bieber. Oh, I forgot about that. That's what they were called.

00:13:26 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:13:26 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 3:

Jelena.

00:13:27 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. This Jelena break has turned into a breakup because Justin has realized he can't be the only one fighting for this relationship.

00:13:34 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 3:

Selena and Justin dating. They broke up in that year. They were called Jelena. And Maroon 5 had the big song. And by the way, I'm not wrong. It's not onion rings. They're onion chips.

00:13:50 - 00:13:52 | Speaker 5:

Oh, okay. That's what it is. All right, all right.

00:13:52 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 3:

I knew I wasn't crazy. All right, what year was that?

00:13:59 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 4:

Prove what a big brain you have. Tell us when that stuff happened. Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548. Back in the day, what year was this?

00:14:11 - 00:15:09 | Speaker 3:

It was the year that Disney bought Lucas Films And then became even more powerful Now owning all the Star Wars franchises It was also the year that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber broke up I'm pushing buttons without even knowing what I'm pushing And this song was the big song What year was that, Emily? uh 2012 it was congratulations thank you 2012 and what was it that gave it away uh the lucas film yeah yeah you know what and then now look at uh what disney's got disney's got that whole star wars area at disney world we're setting you up with the prize i want you to hang on the phone for just one second. We're going to give you tickets to go to Winter Blast. Congratulations to you. It's happening the weekend of the 17th, so congrats. Awesome.

00:15:10 - 00:15:11 | Speaker 2:

Thank you guys so much. You're so welcome.

00:15:11 - 00:15:34 | Speaker 3:

Hold on. Taylor Swift tickets. We're giving them away this morning. Got a chance for you to win right now. Text HERO to 95500. That is HERO. You can text that to 95500 and you could be going to see Taylor Swift. Standard tax and data rates do apply. We've got Ed Sheeran taking us next hour. Shannon, what do you got in the dirty?

00:15:34 - 00:16:00 | Speaker 1:

Well, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi renewed their wedding vows 15 years after they tied the knot. Chris Jenner was the officiant. Brandi Carlile performed. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were there to celebrate along with a few other celebrities. But here's the thing. Ellen had no idea that this was happening. She was surprised with the renewal. She actually thought she was going to Portia's birthday party. But nope.

00:16:00 - 00:16:22 | Speaker 2:

Surprise. You don't have to say anything at all. But when I was thinking about what would make your birthday really special, apart from being with family and friends, it was reminding you that you're the most important thing in the world to me in front of family and friends.

00:16:23 - 00:16:26 | Speaker 1:

Portia even wore her wedding dress from when they got married back in 2008.

00:16:26 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 3:

How about the guests? I mean, that's like pretty unbelievable.

00:16:29 - 00:16:36 | Speaker 1:

Meghan Markle just hanging out. What did you say? Neighbors. Is that what he is? Yeah, it's always like the whole neighborhood. Black party.

00:16:36 - 00:16:43 | Speaker 3:

I actually thought that Harry and Meghan were cool, but then I saw the Carol Burnett one was like, Carol Burnett.

00:16:43 - 00:16:46 | Speaker 1:

Oh, is she there? Yeah. I didn't see that. She's got to live in the hood, too.

00:16:46 - 00:16:47 | Speaker 3:

Is that what it is?

00:16:47 - 00:16:49 | Speaker 1:

I guarantee it, but yeah, I don't know.

00:16:49 - 00:16:50 | Speaker 3:

Good for them.

00:16:50 - 00:17:27 | Speaker 1:

Euphoria season two star Chloe Cherry, she played Faye on the show, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft for an incident that happened back in December in her hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Two days after Christmas, she was busted taking a $28 blouse. I'm not saying blouse, by the way. I'm not 80, but that's just how the story is. A $28 blouse. She paid for a bunch of other items using a credit card but was accused of not paying for the blouse. And at some point, the police got involved and cops say that she admitted to taking said $28

00:17:27 - 00:17:35 | Speaker 3:

The other day we were discussing the word trousers and how it is an old person word but when Harry Styles says it

00:17:35 - 00:17:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, if you put a British accent

00:17:36 - 00:17:39 | Speaker 3:

Blouse is probably the same with that word

00:17:39 - 00:18:31 | Speaker 1:

The NFL announced the Saweetie Super Bowl concert a virtual concert inside of that video game Roblox The event going down in Warner Music Group's Rhythm City Sweetie is going to perform a family-friendly female empowerment concert featuring Tappan, a bunch of her other songs. February 10th at 7 p.m. is when it's happening. And then it's going to re-air every hour until the day of the Super Bowl. If you want to check it out. Again, it's inside of Roblox. And lastly, if you missed it, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow on Groundhog's Day yesterday, which means spring won't be arriving early this year. But did you hear this story? So, there's a Canadian groundhog, Quebec's famous groundhog. His name is Fred Le Maman. It's fancy.

00:18:32 - 00:18:37 | Speaker 2:

Well, it was a really bad Groundhog's Day for Fred. Listen to this.

00:18:37 - 00:19:06 | Speaker 4:

What started off as a cheerful annual celebration... This year, it's true. ...quickly turned to sorrow. Quebec's very own furry forecaster, Fred La Marmotte, died just before giving his annual Groundhog Day addiction. He died during hibernation.

00:19:06 - 00:19:20 | Speaker 1:

They went to take him out, and he was dead. Did he have a backup? No, the event organizer had a stuffed animal version of Fred, and that's what they used. Isn't that terrible?

00:19:20 - 00:19:21 | Speaker 3:

No, that's fantastic.

00:19:21 - 00:19:23 | Speaker 1:

Nine years old. Fred was nine years old.

00:19:23 - 00:19:36 | Speaker 3:

If I had some guy walks up and tries to make it talk like a puppet, like, hello, guys. My favorite, though, was Megan booing at the beginning of the story, not knowing that the thing died. I booed the dead one.

00:19:36 - 00:19:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh. Oh, I'm sorry. I just assumed that you'd be attending your sister's wedding. She's getting married on the beach here on the 14th? No, she... Dawn Hayworth. Well, you... I mean... Oh, jeez. I feel like the horse is a**. You'd think because, you know, 16 guests were coming down, you would have been one of them. I apologize if I brought up a sore subject. How many guests? Sixteen. Friends and family. I talked to her mother. Very nice. Well, I guess it would be your mother, too. Wait, you talked to Janet? Yep. I guess I'm so sorry if I brought this up and you weren't supposed to know. I just figured if you were the emergency contact, you'd be understanding what was happening. See? Oh, now that I think about it, that's probably why she put you down as the emergency contact, because she wouldn't put you on there if you were going to be with her.

00:22:00 - 00:22:01 | Speaker 3:

This doesn't make any sense.

00:22:02 - 00:22:04 | Speaker 2:

Do you not get along with her?

00:22:05 - 00:22:10 | Speaker 3:

We get along fine until now. There must be some mistake.

00:22:10 - 00:22:15 | Speaker 2:

I'm so sorry. She didn't tell you. Why do you think she didn't tell you she was coming down here?

00:22:16 - 00:22:24 | Speaker 3:

I knew she was going on vacation. I knew that. This wedding thing, I don't know anything about this. There's got to be a mistake.

00:22:24 - 00:22:25 | Speaker 2:

You didn't know about Adam? Do you know Adam?

00:22:26 - 00:22:27 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's her boyfriend.

00:22:28 - 00:22:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh.

00:22:29 - 00:22:30 | Speaker 3:

She cannot be marrying him.

00:22:31 - 00:22:39 | Speaker 2:

Oh. See, maybe that's the problem. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to bring it... Would you do me a favor? Don't tell her I told you, because she might be sore at me.

00:22:43 - 00:22:45 | Speaker 3:

Trust me, I don't think that's going to matter.

00:22:45 - 00:23:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, whoopsie. I didn't mean to start a big thing. I just was trying to get a hold of her now, and I feel like I've really let the cat out of the bag. Um... She must care about you to put you as emergency contact. You're kidding, right? I'm just trying to make it sound better.

00:23:06 - 00:23:10 | Speaker 3:

Listen, um, give me the flight change or whatever, and I'll...

00:23:10 - 00:23:15 | Speaker 2:

Well, see, now I don't know if I should trust you with information if she doesn't trust you to come to the wedding.

00:23:19 - 00:23:19 | Speaker 3:

Fine.

00:23:20 - 00:23:23 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... Okay, don't be mad at me.

00:23:23 - 00:23:26 | Speaker 3:

I like you. This is perfect. I don't believe this.

00:23:27 - 00:23:33 | Speaker 2:

If I could just get her phone number from you, and then you can just pretend I never called.

00:23:33 - 00:23:36 | Speaker 3:

You know what? I'm going to pretend you never called. I don't have her number.

00:23:37 - 00:23:44 | Speaker 2:

Oh. Oh, I see. Okay. Well, I'm sorry I offended you just because your sister's getting married down here and didn't invite you.

00:23:44 - 00:23:45 | Speaker 3:

You know, it's not you.

00:23:45 - 00:23:47 | Speaker 2:

Well, I know. It's obviously you have issues.

00:23:48 - 00:23:48 | Speaker 3:

What?

00:23:49 - 00:24:12 | Speaker 2:

So you didn't know anything about the marriage? Oh, dear. Okay. That's got to be sore, huh? Your sister. I mean, I don't want to pry. That's crazy. Okay, well, I just... So you didn't know about the wedding or anything? Okay, I'm sorry. I'll stop talking about it. It's just it says right here on the invitation you've cordially been invited to be the victim of a mojo on a morning phone scam.

00:30:05 - 00:30:08 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55. 5, 5, 5.

00:30:12 - 00:30:34 | Speaker 1:

Don't even, don't even start with me. It's Mojo in the Mornings show. I all of a sudden I saw KP and Lydia walk in, two of our producers here, our, you know, producers of the show here. And they walk in, and they have this look on their face, And then they sit down right in front of microphones. And I'm thinking, why are they walking in here right now? And I know exactly why they're walking in here.

00:30:34 - 00:30:35 | Speaker 2:

Is this an intervention?

00:30:36 - 00:31:22 | Speaker 1:

You know, it could be. Yes. Spike, let me say this to you. You were so lucky you drove yourself yesterday. So we all went to go and see the new station, the new radio station. Spike, myself, KP, and Lydia were moving to Eastern Market sometime like before 2025, they say. And, Spike, you drove. You went ahead because you had something to go to downtown. Yes. And so I offered to drive the producers. And all they did the whole time was complain about my driving. Actually, I'm sorry. KP complained about my driving. Lydia is virtually complainless. Right, Lydia?

00:31:22 - 00:31:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I would say so.

00:31:24 - 00:31:26 | Speaker 2:

You just silently lived in terror in the backseat?

00:31:26 - 00:31:29 | Speaker 4:

With sweaty palms. I'll tell you that much.

00:31:29 - 00:31:43 | Speaker 2:

The two of you are new enough to this environment that you haven't realized yet that when we have to go somewhere, you tell Mojo, I'm going to drive separate because I have another thing downtown. I didn't have anything downtown. I just was not getting in Mojo's car.

00:31:43 - 00:31:56 | Speaker 3:

I felt like I needed to cross the seatbelt the other direction. Yeah, like on an airplane. Yeah, I felt like I needed a harness. Where they give the flight attendants like the harness. I felt like I was on the top thrill dragster. I needed to go upside down or something.

00:31:56 - 00:32:02 | Speaker 4:

It was the fact that KP said, she didn't say she was car sick. She said, I feel like I'm getting seasick.

00:32:06 - 00:32:07 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God, yeah.

00:32:08 - 00:32:23 | Speaker 3:

I felt like we had 800 people on Mojo's request line. Every time he got done with one phone call, somebody else would be calling. I think we got through three or four different people calling him at the same time. I was just on the way there.

00:32:23 - 00:32:33 | Speaker 1:

These guys got to talk to a lot of people. Actually, it was kind of fun. And they talked to Christine Briggs, Pat Kuda, Jay Towers, and Ann Pat.

00:32:33 - 00:32:36 | Speaker 4:

And Joe. And Joe.

00:32:37 - 00:32:37 | Speaker 3:

Oh, and Tony.

00:32:37 - 00:32:43 | Speaker 2:

And Tony. The only person you didn't talk to was an attorney that can quickly draft up a will for you after being in the car.

00:32:43 - 00:32:45 | Speaker 3:

We passed Joe Manna, and I'm like, help.

00:32:47 - 00:33:43 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so let me just explain something. For years, these guys have always complained that I'm a bad driver. All right? But I'm going to ask you if this is bad driving So we were driving the luge All the way downtown And as we were driving down There's no traffic It was middays, believe it or not Thursday, there was no traffic around So we're driving And I don't like to just stay in a lane I like to explore all the lanes So I am that I am that old man driver That sits there and goes You are the driver that I say Pick a lane any lane when I'm behind you because... But there was nobody by me. There was nobody around at all. And these guys were complaining about that. Actually, again, KP, Lydia, you are going to not go... I'm not going to bring you in on this whole thing. Did she ask you to come in the studio here for this? She did. This is her topic.

00:33:43 - 00:33:51 | Speaker 3:

She sent this topic. I did not send this at night. Actually, you know what? Maybe I might have mentioned one thing in my topic. But Lydia sent an actual paragraph

00:33:51 - 00:34:01 | Speaker 1:

topic about mojo's driving so technically yeah i'm gonna read it right now he is complaining but it says both both kp and mojo had client calls oh so she's complaining that you and i were on the

00:34:01 - 00:34:06 | Speaker 3:

client no that was not that we were both talking at the same time mojo was on a client call in the

00:34:06 - 00:34:31 | Speaker 1:

front and i was on the back it says here it says that lydia was playing candy crush not really paying attention to the road while mojo drove he asked me how his driving was and i didn't think anything of it until kp mentioned that she was starting to feel a little carsick my palms got so sweaty when we were headed on the south oh the 75 south ramp i i went a little too fast on that

00:34:31 - 00:34:36 | Speaker 4:

no he looked like he was about to head north and then he goes south and i'm like oh no because you

00:34:36 - 00:34:47 | Speaker 1:

know what i played basketball and i was really good at the no look pass i was like you don't want to go south uh no i i uh we ended up yes i wanted to go south because i was going on the lodge to 75 and going

00:34:47 - 00:34:50 | Speaker 2:

I think it was. Yeah, then you take 75 north over to

00:34:50 - 00:34:52 | Speaker 1:

Was it south or north? Maybe vice versa.

00:34:52 - 00:34:55 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. Listen, Mojo was playing Candy Crush too while he was driving.

00:34:55 - 00:35:00 | Speaker 3:

That's what it looked like. You know what you need almost in your car? You need to have

00:35:00 - 00:35:11 | Speaker 1:

to hand out those necklaces to everybody like the old ladies have on the commercial if they fall in and they can't get up. If they need help, they can push a button. Yeah, Life Lure! And it immediately calls somebody for help.

00:35:11 - 00:35:23 | Speaker 4:

Wait, wait, let me finish with this paragraph because it gets good for me. Rest assured, I'd still allow Mojo to be my Uber if needed. I just can't play Candy Crush if so. Why? Because you get sick when you're playing?

00:35:23 - 00:35:49 | Speaker 3:

I have to watch what you're doing because when we were on the way back, we were stopped at this turnaround. Now, when someone tells me that they don't like something I'm doing, and then I have to correct someone else on that, I feel so awkward. But we were on the way back, and there was a green light, and he was trying to get Joe on the line. And I didn't have the heart to tell him at first that the light was green, but it was probably about 30 seconds. And I was like, Mojo, the light's green. And he's like, oh, no one's behind us anyway.

00:35:52 - 00:35:58 | Speaker 5:

I want you to be my Google review, because even when someone tries to kill Lydia, she's still like, I would let him drive me again.

00:35:58 - 00:36:10 | Speaker 4:

You know that, honestly, can I say this to you? She's just like her mother. Have you noticed that? Her mom is like that. Yeah. Her mom could, your mom could, you know, find the good in a mass murderer probably, couldn't she?

00:36:10 - 00:36:11 | Speaker 3:

Most definitely.

00:36:12 - 00:36:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. All right. Well, I'm going to say this. I am not just a bad driver. I'm a horrible driver because my wife won't even let me drive. I've talked about this before. She does not let me drive anywhere because of that same situation. And I don't know what has gotten into me because I used to think I was a pretty good driver, but maybe this is the case. And you guys tell me, and I might need to call up Mike over at Gordon Chevrolet. Do you think I need a smaller car? Like, do you think my car is too big for me? Like, I'm driving a Chevy Tahoe.

00:36:42 - 00:36:43 | Speaker 5:

I think you need a city bus.

00:36:44 - 00:36:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I think you need some public transportation pass or something like that.

00:36:47 - 00:36:58 | Speaker 4:

I don't know how those guys drive those, like, semis and stuff like that. Because they pay attention. So when I drive, like, a smaller car, like, if I drive Chelsea's, I actually drive, I think, better.

00:36:59 - 00:37:03 | Speaker 1:

Well, I think a lot of people do. Yes, everybody does.

00:37:03 - 00:37:18 | Speaker 4:

Chelsea actually at one point said to me, she goes, no, you cannot get a smaller car because you will be dead because you'll be running into, like, barriers or something like that. So 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Worse driver than me. Who is that person?

00:37:18 - 00:37:25 | Speaker 5:

By the way, Shannon, you missed the tour of the building. I just want to let you know there's no reason to rush to pack anything for the move

00:37:25 - 00:37:27 | Speaker 1:

it looks beautiful

00:37:27 - 00:37:31 | Speaker 5:

it will look beautiful you really have to squint use your imagination on Instagram

00:37:31 - 00:37:34 | Speaker 4:

can you post Spike can you post some on the Mojo in the morning

00:37:34 - 00:37:41 | Speaker 5:

yeah well you could just close your eyes and you'll see our studio it's just as much done just an empty room

00:37:41 - 00:37:43 | Speaker 1:

no they made they made windows it wasn't for

00:37:43 - 00:38:06 | Speaker 4:

piles of bricks stop for a second hold on let me dip the music down they did a chalk outline of where our studio is going to be It's like a dead person just laying right there. You know what's weird, though, is a chalk outline makes it look so small, but I know it's going to look so much bigger than that because you have no walls up or whatever. But they're saying that the projected move for us.

00:38:07 - 00:38:07 | Speaker 1:

I thought they said September.

00:38:08 - 00:38:24 | Speaker 4:

Somebody said September, and then one person said, quite possibly could be the end of October. And then they said, but there is a must that we have to be out of this building by a year from now, the end of January 2020, what year would that be for?

00:38:24 - 00:38:30 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. So definitely within a year, we might possibly, probably be in the new building.

00:38:31 - 00:38:47 | Speaker 4:

Listen, here's the deal. I'll get better driving by that time. I will figure out, because I'm going to have to do that drive. I actually realized, though, Mike and Megan, this was the greatest. I realized it's so quick on and off the highway, though.

00:38:47 - 00:38:47 | Speaker 1:

Is it?

00:38:48 - 00:38:56 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. It's like right there. The highway is right there. Like you literally pull out of the parking lot and you're on the highway. Same thing. You pull off. You're on there.

00:38:56 - 00:38:58 | Speaker 5:

Quick for you because everybody saw you come and they pulled over to the shoulder.

00:38:59 - 00:39:00 | Speaker 4:

Come on.

00:39:00 - 00:39:04 | Speaker 1:

I think it's going to be crazy that I'm going to live closer to that station than Mojo will.

00:39:04 - 00:39:10 | Speaker 4:

Isn't that true? Yeah. Yeah. Toledo will be closer than me living in West Bloomfield. What's up, Carolyn?

00:39:12 - 00:39:13 | Speaker 2:

Hi. How are you guys doing today?

00:39:14 - 00:39:20 | Speaker 4:

I'm doing okay, Carolyn. And please don't listen to these guys talking about my bad driving. I'm an excellent driver.

00:39:21 - 00:39:57 | Speaker 2:

I would say the same thing. I'm an excellent driver, too. But I got my license, like, later in life when I was 28. And we were visiting family for Christmas. And that was that year with a snowstorm. And at that time, I was driving a small Civic Sport. And I don't know how to drive without the rear view camera. So the camera was covered up from the snow. So I was backing out of their driveway. And backed into someone's car. And so I got out of the car, looked at their car, didn't see any damage, looked at my car, didn't see any damage. And the next day they called me and they're like, yeah, you know, you dented the front of their car.

00:39:57 - 00:40:13 | Speaker 4:

Oh, geez. And you had no clue that that happened. I had no clue at all. You know what? That is like an old person, like in Florida, driving thing where they just run into things and then they find out later that they ran into a whole bunch of things. Yeah, you're how old, Carolyn?

00:40:14 - 00:40:15 | Speaker 2:

I was 28.

00:40:15 - 00:40:17 | Speaker 4:

She's 28 years old. Amazing.

00:40:17 - 00:40:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:40:18 - 00:40:27 | Speaker 4:

All right. Well, thank you for the call. As long as you don't run over people. That's the thing. You can hit things. Things are things. You can replace things. You just can't replace people, right?

00:40:28 - 00:40:33 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I don't remember that from driver's training. Mojo in the Morning.

00:40:33 - 00:40:35 | Speaker 2:

What's that? Sounds stupid.

00:40:35 - 00:40:37 | Speaker 3:

Stupider than hell, Bino.

00:40:37 - 00:40:38 | Speaker 2:

You are nasty. You are stupid.

00:40:39 - 00:40:43 | Speaker 3:

Don't miss this in Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30 in minutes.

00:40:44 - 00:40:57 | Speaker 2:

I love this. Who is bringing her OB-GYN to the Super Bowl next weekend? And Nick Carter fighting back against his rape accuser. I've got a huge update on that story coming up in the 30s.

00:40:57 - 00:41:15 | Speaker 3:

Who is seen with who? Who's banging who? And what will you be talking about all day? Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30 in minutes. On Mojo in the Morning. Hear this mediocre morning show after the show on iHeartRadio. Tell your smart device to play the Mojo in the Morning show on iHeartRadio.

00:41:20 - 00:41:28 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning. I mean, how'd you feel yesterday after going home and having your first day back at work after having the flu?

00:41:28 - 00:41:40 | Speaker 2:

I'll be super honest with you. I was wiped. That's why I didn't go downtown with you guys. I wanted to see the new studio so bad, but I said to you when I was about to leave here, I'm like, I have to go lay down for a couple of hours because it knocked me right in my butt.

00:41:40 - 00:41:48 | Speaker 4:

It loses your energy. And I didn't realize this, but do you mind if I share the other thing that you're dealing with?

00:41:48 - 00:41:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

00:41:49 - 00:41:53 | Speaker 4:

Shannon's got another issue that's going on that is very painful.

00:41:55 - 00:42:23 | Speaker 2:

Kidney infection. I know. It's the worst. It is the absolute worst, especially because I already had a lot of the symptoms of the flu that I was dealing with for the past couple of days. And then I started having this other thing where I'm like, why does it, it doesn't burn when I pee, but it was hurting really bad. And I also had like shooting pain up my sides and my back. It was like the whole thing on top of each other has just been it's been a real treat the past couple of days. Megan, you've had one, haven't you?

00:42:23 - 00:42:36 | Speaker 1:

I had two in 16 months and it was the worst experience of my entire life. And I I genuinely had never been sicker or in more pain in my entire life than when I had a kidney infection.

00:42:36 - 00:44:13 | Speaker 2:

Yes, it is real. And like to the point where it's painful when you when you pee. And so poor Luce and Smith have heard me trying to go to the bathroom, and I was, like, screaming. It burns when I pee. It didn't burn, again. I really want to clear that up. It's a whole different kind of pain, and thank goodness, you know, I'm taking medication for it, and so I'm feeling a ton better. Not great, but better. But I had to explain to Lucy, like, short-form explanation for an 8-year-old that and slight mom lie I'm like you this this could happen to you if you hold your pee and don't go to the bathroom when you need to go to the bathroom because she does this all the time and so I thought all right I'm gonna use this as like a little bit of a teaching tool even though that's not the entire truth but um well I got myself into a little bit of trouble because fast forward to last night we went to see Wes's daughter play in a basketball game on the east side and then we went to um a sports bar out there called art and jake's and so this sweet waitress is at our table and it's me wes my kids smith and lucy and wes's kids sam and kieran and so the waitress is like trying to take our order and lucy's like mom i have to go to the bathroom right now you have to take me to the bathroom right now well i'm like shooting the mean mom eyes at her because i want the waitress to go around and take all of our orders and i didn't want loose interrupting so i was giving her like the hold on a second stop interrupting this poor woman who's trying to take our order and she kept going mom mom finally she says loud enough for everyone including the waitress to hear you don't want me to get your infection and scream when i

00:44:13 - 00:44:26 | Speaker 4:

like you do do you i thought wes was gonna choke he was laughing so hard i'm like great oh my god

00:44:26 - 00:44:28 | Speaker 2:

That sounds lovely.

00:44:28 - 00:44:30 | Speaker 4:

You did tell her.

00:44:30 - 00:44:38 | Speaker 2:

I did tell her. Don't hold your pee. Yep. Yep. Don't want me to get your infection and scream when I pee like you do.

00:44:38 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 4:

Awesome. It's really great. The beauty of children is when they don't talk. That's weird. No, I think it's so funny. And every parent has a story like that. Every parent has a story where their kid blurted out something that they weren't supposed to in front of strangers or maybe not so strangers um will you share

00:45:00 - 00:46:21 | Speaker 2:

of yours with us? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, 844-MOJO-LIVE. That's great. Oh my God. Is the thing like from you being in the studio for as long a period of time, you got it from our length of non-breaks? Because we're like more than an hour and a half commercial free. I don't think so. Because honestly, now it scares me. I've never had a kidney infection at but i have held my pee and i've had this you know we've talked before on the show listen we've talked before about duty in our pants i'm gonna admit this the other day i actually peed my pants because i was outside and i was taking the garbage out and i started like to a point where i had to go pee and then the dogs were out and they had to go to the bathroom and i'm outside and i was trying to like hold it in and i ended up paying my dance i i was like doing the dance and i ended up like some was you know starting to pee out and i go inside and chelsea's i quickly took off my pants and i went to go to the washer to go wash them she's like why are you washing him i go uh henry peed on me and i literally i'm telling you the lie right now chelsea i apologize because there's nothing that is like less romantic than knowing that your spouse just peed themselves so i apologize i almost did yesterday we were driving while we were touring

00:46:21 - 00:46:58 | Speaker 1:

our new building and there's no operational bathrooms yet and they do have a porta potty for the construction workers but i thought i'll just wait till i get home well after i left the building i thought oh my gosh i gotta go now why did i wait so i pull over i i run in beyond juice well they're they don't have a bathroom for customers oh really so okay so i go next door their bathroom's out of order the guy's like i'm really sorry i just broke this morning we're dying here so then i'm like going i'm going through the neighborhood like where can i find a bathroom i finally find this place that sells spices and i'm like i bought some jamaican jerk chicken rub just to go use their bathroom i was like thank you i almost peed myself it's the worst feeling

00:46:58 - 00:47:02 | Speaker 2:

in the world isn't it oh yeah when you have to do that yeah i definitely feel for our friends

00:47:02 - 00:47:14 | Speaker 1:

who have crohn's and colitis who really oh yeah you know you have to plan your whole day around where are the bathrooms i need to take a pp um what's going on nikki so when my sister was little

00:47:14 - 00:47:32 | Speaker 3:

He had a heart murmur and the doctor was listening And he kept trying to interrupt her She was only like three She's like excuse me Why do you have breadcrumb on your hair And he had like dandruff And my mom was mortified He didn't say anything He just like stone face doctor

00:47:32 - 00:47:38 | Speaker 2:

Kids are way too honest Cheryl what's going on It's Mojo in the morning

00:47:38 - 00:48:08 | Speaker 5:

Hi guys Good morning I was shopping with my daughter She was about three and a half years old I wanted to go into Lane Bryant She didn't want to go No, we have to Mom is fat We got to go into the fat lady store So I'm looking through a rack And she's tugging on me Yelling at me Mom, mom, mom, mom I'm like, what? She goes, you don't have to shop here Her's fatter than you Oh, no Oh, no I wanted to crawl into the rack and die

00:48:08 - 00:48:17 | Speaker 2:

Oh, geez Actually, that's the point where you go Whose kid is this? Like, who's kid? Who left their kid here? Crystal?

00:48:18 - 00:48:19 | Speaker 4:

Hi, how are you?

00:48:19 - 00:48:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh, God, this is another one of those stories, like that last one. What happened?

00:48:23 - 00:48:35 | Speaker 4:

Well, when my daughter was about six, it was when the movie Fat Albert came out. And there was a heavier set black guy that was, like, at the table right by us. She goes, look, Mom, there's Fat Albert.

00:48:35 - 00:48:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no.

00:48:36 - 00:48:39 | Speaker 4:

I about died. I died. It was crazy.

00:48:39 - 00:48:40 | Speaker 2:

Did the guy hear it?

00:48:42 - 00:48:43 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. He just smiled.

00:48:43 - 00:48:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, geez. My kids have done the Santa Claus thing to an older, fat, gray-haired gentleman before thinking of Santa Claus.

00:48:52 - 00:48:52 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's so embarrassing.

00:48:53 - 00:48:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:48:53 - 00:48:54 | Speaker 4:

It's so funny, though.

00:48:54 - 00:48:58 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call. We appreciate it. What's happening, Dawn?

00:49:00 - 00:49:11 | Speaker 6:

So I used to be a lot heavier than what I am now, and I was in Catholic church or attending mass, and you know how you have to get up every 10 seconds or 10 minutes.

00:49:11 - 00:49:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. Stand, sit, kneel. Stand, sit, kneel.

00:49:14 - 00:49:25 | Speaker 6:

Yes, yes. Well, I, oh my gosh, I sneezed, peed myself, as when I stood up, there was a puddle on the pew. Oh, no.

00:49:26 - 00:49:28 | Speaker 1:

And that's why they call it a pew. So embarrassing.

00:49:30 - 00:49:35 | Speaker 2:

It's, uh, yeah. So, what, did people see it?

00:49:37 - 00:49:41 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I immediately threw my coat over. Oh, that's what I was going to say. I was going to say, that's good. Move.

00:49:41 - 00:49:42 | Speaker 2:

Good move.

00:49:42 - 00:49:50 | Speaker 6:

I nearly, thank goodness I was wearing black pants, but, like, I literally put my coat over it, and I was just like, we can't leave masks until everyone else leaves.

00:49:51 - 00:49:56 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Yeah, Stan, Sid, and Neil makes you have to go to the bathroom. What's going on, Becca?

00:49:57 - 00:49:57 | Speaker 6:

Hi.

00:49:58 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 5:

Hi. But before I say.

00:50:00 - 00:50:19 | Speaker 3:

I tell what he's saying. I have to tell the background story. He was born. He's a boy. He's six years old then when he's dead. But he was born, and unfortunately, I put on his birth certificate that he was a female. So he was a female when he was two years old. But that's a whole other story. So he overheard.

00:50:19 - 00:50:23 | Speaker 2:

You accidentally did that? You accidentally put on his birth certificate?

00:50:23 - 00:50:24 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, he was a female.

00:50:24 - 00:50:26 | Speaker 2:

So was it hard to change it back?

00:50:27 - 00:50:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, really, really hard. It's a really funny story, but that's all the time

00:50:30 - 00:50:32 | Speaker 2:

Okay, all right

00:50:32 - 00:50:34 | Speaker 3:

I actually really want to hear this story

00:50:34 - 00:50:37 | Speaker 2:

That actually is an interesting topic that we should do sometime

00:50:37 - 00:51:53 | Speaker 3:

It's really hard It's really hard to change Yeah, that's interesting You need three doctors to tell That he's a boy And I didn't have anything So he took his diapers off And I was like You are more proof than that She's like, yeah, it doesn't work like that And I say, oh, you know what um he's gonna be a girl and he's gonna change when he's 18 i walk out of the building and they they uh send the security after me they know he cannot do that he's a boy i said i know he's a boy and but you cannot do that you he had to be changed and i said why are you guys in a hard time so uh they call the supervisor the supervisor talk you know talk to her doctor his doctor and then um they want me to call the doctor at least and i said no and i left again i was in live area And I came back, and they said, okay, okay, we're going to do that for you. But it's illegal because we have to have two doctors say that he's a boy at least. Wow. So that was when he was two years old that I found out. When he was six, I was talking to a friend of mine, and I did not know. I didn't even know he was in the house. So he overheard me say this story, and he looked at us, and he looked at me and said, Mom, why am I vagina? Oh, I'm sorry. I can't say that right now. No, you can say it. You can say vagina.

00:51:53 - 00:51:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:51:54 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 3:

You can. Vagina. And he say in Portuguese because I'm Brazilian. So he say, why am I petareca is going to grow? And my friend look at me and what is petareca?

00:52:09 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 2:

And you're like, well, funny story. There's a lot of paperwork involved here.

00:52:13 - 00:52:22 | Speaker 3:

And I say, it's not going to grow, honey. And he's like, well, you should say that I was born a girl and I had to put this boy in.

00:52:22 - 00:52:23 | Speaker 2:

How crazy is that?

00:52:24 - 00:52:24 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

00:52:24 - 00:52:29 | Speaker 2:

How wild is it that the mistake that you make on your birth certificate, and it's so hard to change back?

00:52:29 - 00:52:31 | Speaker 3:

I know, and his name is David. And his name is David.

00:52:31 - 00:52:38 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Can you just do me a favor? That's a wild story and very interesting. Can you just say vagina again?

00:52:39 - 00:52:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God, Mojo, vagina. You know what? That's my question. Vagina? No. It's so cute how she says it. You know what's funny, sir? I think I sound like all you guys. And then I record and I play. I was like, holy, oh, my God, that's how I sound?

00:52:58 - 00:52:59 | Unknown:

That's awful.

00:53:00 - 00:53:12 | Speaker 2:

No, you sound beautiful. Honestly, it's just awesome. I love it. That's wild, though, that to your ears you say that you sound like everybody else. Then you record yourself and listen. Then you finally hear your accent.

00:53:13 - 00:53:23 | Speaker 3:

It's awful. And I know it must be cute because I get out of a lot of traffic tickets because of my accent. Oh, do you?

00:53:23 - 00:53:26 | Speaker 2:

You get a lot of traffic tickets or you get out of a lot of traffic?

00:53:27 - 00:53:31 | Speaker 3:

Let's not talk anymore. I talk a lot and I'm the best FBI story.

00:53:31 - 00:53:44 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, she gets out of tickets because the cop's like, I don't have time for this 20-minute story. Just go. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, see what's trending right now. Shannon, what do you got in the Dirty on 30?

00:53:45 - 00:54:28 | Speaker 1:

Well, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelsey and his wife, Hiley, are expecting their third child together And since it's very, very possible that she could. So, I mean, it could absolutely happen. I love this idea. Jason Kelsey said, this could be a Super Kelsey Bowl. If she has a baby in the stadium, it's officially scripted. Now, again, Jason and Travis going to be the first siblings to face off playing in the Super Bowl. It's a rare situation that has left their family very playfully divided. In fact, their mom, Donna, said the game will come down to bragging rights in the family because both Jason and Travis already have one championship ring apiece, so this is going to be the tiebreaker.

00:54:28 - 00:54:33 | Speaker 2:

That, by the way, is a genius move to bring your OBGYN. You know, like Dr. Warner.

00:54:34 - 00:54:35 | Speaker 1:

Oh, he would come.

00:54:35 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 2:

He would have instantly. Or he would have hung out with us in studio if that was the case. Right, right. But I will say this. The parent, the mom has to do what you've seen before, where she wears both jerseys and it's like cut in half or something. Like, you know, have you ever seen that before where parents do that? Yeah, house divided. Yeah. Like, I've seen Michigan, Michigan State families where they'll have both, you know, on.

00:55:00 - 00:55:02 | Speaker 6:

So, yeah, there has to be something like that.

00:55:02 - 00:55:40 | Speaker 5:

You know what the expectant wife was talking about when she said it's scripted. There's been a big thing all week long about the NFL being completely scripted like the WWE ever since Pro Bowl running back Arian Foster was on a podcast. And he said, oh, yeah, it's scripted. He said, it's rigged. We get scripts in the locker rooms during training camp every year. We know our story arc when we season three, you're going to get injured. And we know when this call is going to come, if the game gets too lopsided. And like, so then ever since then, all week, there's been a million, even NFL players are getting in on it saying, oh, it's scripted. I had to go get a milkshake for McDonald's today. That's great.

00:55:40 - 00:55:50 | Speaker 3:

I talked about this yesterday briefly. Patriots owner Robert Kraft wanting Tom Brady to sign a one-day contract with them so that he can officially retire a Patriot.

00:55:50 - 00:56:10 | Speaker 1:

Not only do I want it, our fans are clamoring for it. And to us, he always has been and always will be a Patriot. We will do everything in our power to bring him back, have him sign off as a Patriot, and find ways to honor him for many years to come.

00:56:10 - 00:56:23 | Speaker 6:

They've done that many times before. Have they? Yeah, Joe Montana did it. He retired a 49er. And then Brett Favre did it when he retired with the Green Bay Packers after he had left and went to Minnesota and then the Jets.

00:56:24 - 00:57:42 | Speaker 3:

Nick Carter is fighting back against his rape accuser. He says he is a victim of extortion and defamation. Nick filed a countersuit against this woman yesterday. And if you don't remember this story, this is the woman who sued Nick back in December, claiming that he sexually assaulted her after a concert back in 2001 when she was underage. So in these new legal documents, Nick said he will not allow himself to be smeared by this woman's accusations, which, again, he denies, and says her lawsuit is the culmination of a years-long conspiracy to take him down. Nick's attorney said he looks forward to settling out the truth, vindicating himself in court, and putting an end to the smears and attempted shakedowns for good. This woman's attorney, on the other hand, said, Why should Nick Carter be believed with his long history of abusing females? A jury will weigh the evidence and decide. more than 25 years after titanic's release director james cameron is taking a scientific look at whether jack played by leo dicaprio of course would have lived if he simply climbed on top of that dang door with rose as they were left stranded at sea after the ship sank into the ocean

00:57:43 - 00:58:09 | Speaker 4:

jack and rose are able to get on the raft but now they're both submerged in dangerous levels of freezing water out of the water with violent shaking was helping him and projecting it out he could have made it pretty long like hours and he stabilized he got into a place where if we projected that out he just might have made it until the lifeboat got there yeah so he has this

00:58:09 - 00:58:20 | Speaker 3:

upcoming series it's called titanic 25 years later with james cameron and he brings in two stunt people to reenact that exact scene in freezing temperatures and the consensus was was

00:58:20 - 00:58:34 | Speaker 4:

all this jack might have lived but there's a lot of variables i think his thought process was i'm not going to do one thing that jeopardizes her and that's 100 in character yeah if you want to watch

00:58:34 - 00:58:41 | Speaker 3:

it nat geo on sunday it's not a real life story i thought it was a real life story not those

00:58:41 - 00:58:47 | Speaker 6:

I always thought for always that Jack and Rose were real people.

00:58:47 - 00:58:49 | Speaker 5:

Mojo's been trying to get a cameo from that old lady.

00:58:49 - 00:58:59 | Speaker 6:

No, there is that old lady member that used to do that did interviews when the movie came out. She was a she's like the lone one of the lone survivors. I always thought that it was real.

00:59:00 - 00:59:29 | Speaker 3:

And lastly, lingerie brand Harper Wilde is issuing an apology for their ad campaign that compares their bras to Ryan Reynolds. holding the wearer's boobies. The ad, which has since been deleted from all of social media, reads, this bra is like if Ryan Reynolds was gently holding up your breasts and whispering in your ear that you are doing a good job, honestly. So they then went on, I don't know why they issued an apology on Reddit.

00:59:31 - 00:59:37 | Speaker 5:

Well, it was a Reddit thread that people started to say, this is wild, this is crazy, this is insulting.

00:59:37 - 00:59:42 | Speaker 2:

Okay, but like, issue your apology everywhere, not just on Reddit? I don't know. The whole thing was weird, especially when the ad was on Instagram.

00:59:43 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 5:

They showed the original ad. They were using people's literal, actual Google reviews. So that was something that a woman said about the bra. But then when they put it on Instagram, when you see it scrolling, it crops off the attribution.

01:00:00 - 01:00:15 | Speaker 4:

Right, and so the company said our small team is 99% women, and we absolutely do not condone creepy, non-consensual boob grabbing of any kind, even in a figurative, hypothetical bra review. We are so sorry. This creeped anyone out, and they said we've pulled the ad from our head.

01:00:16 - 01:00:20 | Speaker 3:

I have no idea why I'm still playing the Titanic. I think it's funny. I like it.

01:00:24 - 01:00:28 | Speaker 4:

01:01:41 - 01:01:42 | Speaker 2:

You too, bye-bye

01:01:42 - 01:01:42 | Speaker 3:

Alright

01:01:42 - 01:01:48 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning

01:01:48 - 01:01:56 | Speaker 3:

So you were at a store You don't have to say where And you witnessed something yesterday That was relatively disgusting

01:01:56 - 01:02:34 | Speaker 1:

Well, this kind of piggybacks off of the topic Shannon was doing because it also involves little kids doing incredibly crazy things or saying incredibly crazy things. I saw something hysterical. This little kid was maybe four years old, walked over to some random food on the ground. And I think it was like somebody had spilled the contents or ripped open the contents of a bag of shredded cheese. And you could just see it's like all over the ground there in a little mound. well this little kid walked over and started munching away just picking up pinching up scoops of it and putting it in his mouth and i'm like oh it's like watching from maybe 20 feet it wasn't

01:02:34 - 01:02:38 | Speaker 3:

like food that he had just dropped no no no it was you could tell it's been there people were

01:02:38 - 01:03:16 | Speaker 1:

stepping through it it was there all day and the bag must have broken open and nobody saw it to clean it up and it's because you could see it tracked away like people have been walking through it for a while yeah and i thought well this could be a funny topic to ask what disgusting things our listeners little kids have done because i know one family that could not keep their toddler out of the cat's litter box would always every time they accidentally left the door open in the laundry area the little toddler would walk right like she knew it was there and she would go right to it and would go scooping through the litter for the big for the prize yeah yeah but you know what

01:03:16 - 01:03:34 | Speaker 4:

These are the kids that never get sick because they consume so many germs. I'm serious. We are all sick all the time because we spend so much time trying to not get sick and washing our hands and covering our nose and our mouth. But the kids who are eating poop and cheese off the floor are in great shape right now.

01:03:34 - 01:03:40 | Speaker 3:

If I was that kid, I would have gone to the aisle that has all the chips and I would have gotten myself some Tostitos.

01:03:40 - 01:03:45 | Speaker 4:

What do they call them? Shannon, are you becoming a crunchy mom? A crunchy mom? Yeah.

01:03:45 - 01:03:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:03:45 - 01:03:55 | Speaker 4:

Like, seriously, I should because then I wouldn't have – my family won't be – whatever. Literally medicine right now, I feel like I'm high. I'm on so much medication.

01:03:55 - 01:04:09 | Speaker 3:

Well, you know what's funny is I look at those – the parents, they kind of let their kids just kind of do things. The kids, like, run barefoot. You know, they're shirtless. You know, they're kind of, like, you know, hanging out. And those kids are never fat kids. You ever notice that? For some reason, they always look like they're healthy.

01:04:09 - 01:04:10 | Speaker 4:

And they're also never sick kids.

01:04:11 - 01:04:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that is very true.

01:04:12 - 01:04:25 | Speaker 1:

Even before they're kids, remember, we all have a story of when the kids are babies and you hear a noise in the monitor and you go up to the crib and they finger paint it all over the wall with their poop. Oh, yeah. Like, oh, I guess they put their hand in their diaper.

01:04:25 - 01:04:42 | Speaker 3:

I remember Joey, our Joe, the Joe show, grabbing a piece of poop and holding it in his hand to tell us that he needed his diaper changed. He actually went into his diaper, grabbed it, pulled it out and says that he needed his diaper changed.

01:04:42 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember the brown couch that I had? Oh, that's right. I forgot about that. Milo, out of nowhere, just in 30 seconds. I don't know how he did it. This was like a year, a year and a half ago. In like 30 seconds of not looking, he took his diaper off and literally spread poop all over the brown couch.

01:05:00 - 01:05:02 | Speaker 3:

Thank God it was the brown couch Erica

01:05:02 - 01:05:05 | Speaker 5:

Hi good morning

01:05:05 - 01:05:07 | Speaker 3:

What did your daughter do

01:05:07 - 01:05:28 | Speaker 5:

When my daughter was about three years old I took her out to eat at a restaurant And she was sitting across the table from me And I like looked over And then I looked back at her and she was chewing something And I'm like we didn't even get our food yet So I'm like what are you eating She was like gum And I'm like where did you get gum from She points down to the table She's like under here

01:05:28 - 01:05:31 | Speaker 8:

Once they realize

01:05:31 - 01:05:41 | Speaker 1:

Yes, that there's gum Under restaurant tables, it's over It's always like a fascination Fascination I was like, don't kiss me for like three months

01:05:41 - 01:05:48 | Speaker 3:

Actually Would you rather kiss your sister Or kiss Andrea's child What did your child do?

01:05:50 - 01:06:11 | Speaker 6:

My kid Just started crawling, he was like four or five months old And he made it to the Cat's hairball puke before I did It was awful. I finally got to him and it was like a piece of hair hanging from his mouth. I'm not sure if I gagged more than he did, but it was absolutely awful. Oh, that's great.

01:06:12 - 01:06:19 | Speaker 3:

Have your kids, I know with having your daughter, how old were your daughters, Spike, when you guys got doubling your dog?

01:06:20 - 01:06:24 | Speaker 2:

They were old enough? Yeah, they were probably like middle school and high school.

01:06:24 - 01:06:35 | Speaker 3:

The big thing is kids eating the dog's food. Like, little kids, like, walking up to the dog's food and, like, putting it in their mouth and eating it. What's up, Alexis?

01:06:36 - 01:06:46 | Speaker 7:

Hi. So, when my sister, I'd say she had to be in about, probably about two, she ate a wipey, and my mom, like, pulled it out of her butt.

01:06:46 - 01:06:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Oh, wow.

01:06:48 - 01:06:51 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Like, it went through.

01:06:51 - 01:06:56 | Speaker 2:

Wow, and it didn't, I mean, that's good, I guess. It didn't clog up her intestines and have to have surgery.

01:06:56 - 01:07:02 | Speaker 7:

I had no idea she ate it. Like, my mom was changing her diaper, and she was like, what is that? Oh, my goodness.

01:07:03 - 01:07:07 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. That's the most amazing wipey dispenser you'll ever see in your life.

01:07:09 - 01:07:34 | Speaker 3:

There's a story out this morning talking about litter boxes. There's an animal shelter in Hamilton, Ohio, which is north of Cincinnati, between Cincinnati and Dayton, that is going to name a cat litter box after an ex-romantic partner. For $5 donations, you can actually name the litter box after the person that is your ex that you think, you know, is a piece of food, whatever.

01:07:34 - 01:07:42 | Speaker 1:

I love when they do that. Aren't there always pet stores that will name, like, rats that they feed to some of the reptiles after your ex or cockroaches or something?

01:07:43 - 01:07:49 | Speaker 3:

Cockroaches. What's up, Pete? Yeah. How you doing, buddy?

01:07:49 - 01:08:04 | Speaker 4:

Oh, man, it's been a day, and it's only seven stuff in the morning. Oh, man. Yeah. It starts early in West Michigan. It starts early. My story is about recently I was down in Florida, right? Shout out to the Joe Showdown in Orlando, right?

01:08:04 - 01:08:05 | Speaker 3:

Woo-hoo, yeah, in Tampa, yeah.

01:08:06 - 01:08:39 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, Tampa, yeah. So I'm down there, and my sister is, for whatever reason, using a washcloth to wipe my nephew's backside, right? So instead of putting it into the laundry like she should have after wiping it with poo, she put it on a table. And my 18-month-old, who has this fetish for sucking water off of washcloths No, no, no, no Oh, no And then comes tearing around the corner with this big, you know, poop-eating smile on his face And there it is just hanging Yeah

01:08:39 - 01:08:48 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no I thought for sure you were going to say that you then went and washed your hands And then wiped your face off or something like that

01:08:48 - 01:08:55 | Speaker 4:

No, but that's still not as great as my first job 15 years ago with Poopalooza where I came in the room.

01:08:56 - 01:08:56 | Speaker 8:

Poopalooza?

01:08:58 - 01:09:07 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, Poopalooza, right? But then she's sitting there and she's wiping the poo on the wall. I come in the room. She's naked. She sees me. She smiles and opens her mouth in a piece of poo.

01:09:07 - 01:09:16 | Speaker 9:

Oh, no. All right. Can I just say? All right. Can I say as somebody with no kids, this is the most birth control topic we have ever known?

01:09:16 - 01:09:24 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah. No, I tell this story constantly to my teenage daughters now. Just to remember, boys are terrible, and they will cause poop-a-pollutes.

01:09:26 - 01:09:56 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning, I know that a parent is never supposed to have favorites, but this actually is probably my favorite. I love this phone scam that you're doing for classic phone scam Friday here. I still remember when you did it. But the laughter in the studio and the tears that everybody had after Ali was phone scammed, the taxi dispatcher at the airport, Spike scammed to complain about the smelly cab.

01:10:00 - 01:10:02 | Speaker 2:

Hi, baby. Can I ask you a question?

01:10:04 - 01:10:10 | Speaker 1:

This is Mojo in the Morning. Can I help you?

01:10:10 - 01:10:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, let me speak to someone of authority because I got a complaint to file. Where are you calling from? I'm calling from the hospital. I'm in the hospital because of one of your drivers.

01:10:21 - 01:10:25 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Who's this? What is this cab number?

01:10:25 - 01:10:42 | Speaker 2:

I don't know the cab number. I blacked out. Was it you driving? How come you won't tell me your name? I have never smelled... Listen to this. I almost came very close to dying of asphyxiation because your driver smelled so bad. I got put in the hospital. I've never smelled a more hard human stench in my life.

01:10:42 - 01:10:44 | Speaker 1:

Where did we pick you up? Where did he pick you up?

01:10:45 - 01:10:52 | Speaker 2:

I don't even know who I'm talking to. What part of complaint don't you understand, jackass? What's your name? Where did he pick you up at? At the airport.

01:10:53 - 01:10:54 | Speaker 1:

And where did he drop you?

01:10:55 - 01:11:07 | Speaker 2:

He dropped... I got off the side of the road. I didn't even get all the way to work. I get out of the cab. I'm paying him, which I never should have done in the first place. I collapsed and I passed out from the smell. I hit my head on the fire plug on the side of the road.

01:11:07 - 01:11:09 | Speaker 1:

Where did you get my number?

01:11:09 - 01:11:12 | Speaker 2:

I got your number from the sign in the a***** airport.

01:11:13 - 01:11:15 | Speaker 1:

Then just go to the emergency room.

01:11:15 - 01:11:41 | Speaker 2:

What are you, Superman? You won't tell me your identity? Go to the emergency room and take care of yourself. I'm in the hospital already. You don't listen to a word I say. I'm in the hospital. I woke up this morning in the hospital. I got 29 stitches in my head. I got a fractured skull, a myocardio fractiliation or something like that. I got an impacted number four, number five vertebrae, detached retina, bruising, simple halitosis, gingivitis, and all this other stuff.

01:11:41 - 01:11:43 | Speaker 1:

You might as well die over there.

01:11:44 - 01:12:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm glad you're getting a good kick out of this. I hit my head on the fire plug, lights out, unconscious, good night. Did somebody push you? You don't understand what I'm saying. Your driver stunk so bad I passed out. Were you drunk? No, I'm sober. Were you an a**hole? Do you encourage your drivers to bathe? You have to stop drinking.

01:12:07 - 01:12:09 | Speaker 1:

That's what happens when you drink too much.

01:12:09 - 01:12:18 | Speaker 2:

You know, you're a rotten turd. You're really making me feel bad about myself. You got to tell you guys, they could peel paint off the walls because they smell so bad.

01:12:19 - 01:12:24 | Speaker 1:

Do you smoke weed or something? How can you just black out and fall down and hit your head?

01:12:24 - 01:12:36 | Speaker 2:

Your driver had the horrid human stench of dead skunks in the road. It ain't funny, ch**ks. I hit my head on the fire plug. 29 stitches.

01:12:38 - 01:12:41 | Speaker 1:

Sorry, okay? Tell them to... No, you're not sorry.

01:12:41 - 01:12:48 | Speaker 2:

If you're sorry, you'd be apologizing and you'd be asking for the spelling of my last name to write me a f**king check for the medical expenses.

01:12:49 - 01:12:51 | Speaker 1:

I'm not writing nothing, though.

01:12:51 - 01:12:54 | Speaker 2:

You are, and I'm coming down to pick it up as soon as I get out of the hospital.

01:12:54 - 01:13:04 | Speaker 1:

You better come here. I have to take an alcohol test to make sure you are not drunk. Who? Breath lighter test to make sure you are not drunk.

01:13:04 - 01:13:26 | Speaker 2:

A breathalyzer test. You do a breathalyzer test on that driver of yours, it's going to break the f***ing machine. Let me tell you something. I met animals at the zoo that smelled better than that a**hole. It ain't funny. You sit in the car with them with the windows rolled up. My eyes were watering.

01:13:27 - 01:13:28 | Speaker 1:

What is your phone number?

01:13:29 - 01:13:33 | Speaker 2:

My phone number is 686-1-4.

01:13:34 - 01:13:36 | Speaker 1:

Okay. And your name?

01:13:36 - 01:13:57 | Speaker 2:

My name's Seymour Skinner. S as in smelly. K-I-N as in nasal abuse. E as in... Oh, God, it stinks. And R as in wretched. What were you doing at the airport? What the hell business is that of yours? I should have been buying one of those little pine tree air fresheners for the driver.

01:13:58 - 01:14:00 | Speaker 1:

So what do you want me to do for you today?

01:14:00 - 01:14:04 | Speaker 2:

I want to check for my medical expenses, and I want a friendly smile and an apology.

01:14:06 - 01:14:10 | Speaker 1:

Okay. I have to investigate this, and I'll get back to you.

01:14:10 - 01:14:14 | Speaker 2:

That investigation will take 20 seconds. Go smell the cabs.

01:14:15 - 01:14:19 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, all I have to do is, you know, find which driver, and...

01:14:19 - 01:14:29 | Speaker 2:

I want you to apologize to me right now. Huh? I want your apology. I don't even know if you're lying to me. Who the hell would make up something like this?

01:14:31 - 01:14:34 | Speaker 1:

We live in a dangerous world out there.

01:14:34 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Dangerous for passengers without a can of Lysol in their luggage. Yeah. You didn't even tell me your name. I don't even know who I'm talking to. You want to know my name? Yeah, I want to know your name. My name is Jack. Oh, I see how this is going to be. oh my god well if your name is then let me just say this

01:15:00 - 01:15:02 | Speaker 4:

You've just been phone scammed, jackass.

01:15:05 - 01:15:20 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you. If I could say anything I wanted to, I'd say that was f***ing funny s*** right there. I don't care who you are. It's the home of the world-famous phone scams. Mojo in the Morning.

01:17:29 - 01:17:32 | Speaker 3:

Did you hear him? He knows. He knows that that's...

01:17:32 - 01:17:33 | Speaker 4:

I'm hoping for Spike. Let's do it, bud.

01:17:33 - 01:17:36 | Speaker 3:

This guy, by the way, I like it. You're a good time listener.

01:17:36 - 01:17:38 | Speaker 1:

We are the hockey town.

Mike and Shannon still on the board. Who do you pick, Amos?

01:17:46 - 01:17:49 | Speaker 2:

I am going with this week's winner, Shannon.

01:17:49 - 01:17:54 | Speaker 4:

I bet she's scheduled on the wrong calendar date for that

01:17:54 - 01:17:57 | Speaker 3:

She is, by the way, still on cold medicine

01:17:57 - 01:18:00 | Speaker 2:

I have complete confidence in her

01:18:00 - 01:18:09 | Speaker 3:

Darnell, you got Mike Darnell Yeah, money Mike, let's go

We're getting excited. Football time, right, Mike?

01:18:24 - 01:18:25 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely. Let's go.

01:18:26 - 01:18:32 | Speaker 3:

You can hear Mike. I love it. Say hello, Mike. Hello, Mike. He sounds like he's in the helmet. Can you tell him? Yeah.

01:18:33 - 01:18:34 | Speaker 1:

Marty, let's go. Let's go.

01:18:35 - 01:18:50 | Speaker 3:

That's perfect. Well, KP, welcome. KP is our judge and jury. And first song in the Mojo in the Morning throwback throwdown this week. What should I start with? Hmm. I think I'll start with this one. First song is...

01:18:50 - 01:18:53 | Speaker 4:

Spike. Spike. That is...

01:18:54 - 01:18:55 | Speaker 3:

Three seconds.

01:18:56 - 01:18:57 | Speaker 4:

Return of the Mac by...

01:18:58 - 01:19:05 | Unknown:

Oh. I know.

01:19:09 - 01:19:11 | Speaker 1:

I know.

01:19:11 - 01:19:13 | Speaker 4:

Why can't I think of the name? I know.

01:19:16 - 01:19:40 | Speaker 2:

I can't think of the name of the guy. Me neither. Post Malone's version is better.

01:19:41 - 01:19:42 | Speaker 3:

How dare you?

01:19:43 - 01:19:44 | Speaker 2:

You know I'm right, though. It's good.

01:19:44 - 01:19:46 | Speaker 3:

It's good. I don't know. This is dope.

01:19:46 - 01:19:47 | Unknown:

Mike?

01:19:47 - 01:19:47 | Speaker 3:

Mike.

01:19:48 - 01:19:49 | Speaker 4:

Craig James, Return of the Mac?

01:19:50 - 01:19:54 | Speaker 3:

Craig James. Sounds like a guy that you went to Belding High School with. Craig James.

01:19:57 - 01:19:58 | Unknown:

Yes, I can.

01:19:58 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 2:

Shannon. Shannon. I know this is wrong.

01:20:00 - 01:20:02 | Speaker 1:

Return of the Mac, PM Dawn?

01:20:02 - 01:20:10 | Speaker 3:

No. Good guess, though. I don't really know the song, and there's no way I'm going to get it. Megan? Megan. Bernie Mac's Return of the Mac.

01:20:11 - 01:20:12 | Speaker 1:

That would have been great.

01:20:12 - 01:20:15 | Speaker 3:

I was answering it, but he cut me off. Mark Morrison.

01:20:15 - 01:20:16 | Speaker 2:

Mark Morrison.

01:20:16 - 01:20:19 | Speaker 3:

You were answering it. Yes. I did three seconds, and you go.

01:20:19 - 01:20:21 | Speaker 2:

And I started telling you the answer.

01:20:21 - 01:20:25 | Speaker 3:

You go, Return of the Mac. You're a slow talker.

01:20:25 - 01:20:31 | Speaker 2:

All right, let's see how it is. You've got to talk fast. You were like the NFL refs last week in those two playoff games. You want to keep it interesting for everybody.

01:20:31 - 01:20:37 | Speaker 3:

You got to talk a little faster, mister, because I'm telling you, you got to be able to get through. How about you?

01:20:38 - 01:20:40 | Speaker 1:

How about you? How about you? All right. All right.

01:22:46 - 01:22:53 | Speaker 3:

01:22:54 - 01:22:58 | Speaker 2:

That's right. Let's do it, Spike. Let's go, Kennan.

01:22:58 - 01:22:58 | Speaker 3:

01:23:14 - 01:23:50 | Speaker 1:

Oh, um What's the name of the song? Loving can hurt Oh, oh my god I know Megan? Megan Ed Sheeran Castle on a Hill But it's the only thing that I know When it gets hard You know it can get hard sometimes

01:23:50 - 01:23:52 | Speaker 3:

Spike. Spike for the win.

01:23:52 - 01:23:53 | Speaker 2:

Ed Sheeran photograph?

01:23:53 - 01:24:03 | Speaker 3:

Correct. Three in a row! That's a quick game. There you go. Winner, winner. Chicken dinner.

01:24:04 - 01:24:08 | Speaker 2:

I wasn't even 100% on that title. Yeah. Ah, my gosh. Yes.

01:24:10 - 01:24:11 | Speaker 3:

Kenan.

01:24:12 - 01:24:14 | Speaker 2:

So you can keep bringing it home. I love it.

01:24:14 - 01:24:15 | Speaker 3:

Congratulations.

01:24:16 - 01:24:18 | Speaker 2:

I have to admit, I didn't know what the prize was.

01:24:19 - 01:24:23 | Speaker 3:

Well, you got tickets. You got concert tickets. Poor Grace. Grace, Megan, let you down.

01:24:23 - 01:24:29 | Speaker 1:

I know. Why is it just me that let her? Three people lost the game.

01:24:29 - 01:24:30 | Speaker 2:

Megan, why do you hate our listeners?

01:24:31 - 01:24:34 | Speaker 1:

Three people. And I'm not the only one with zero points.

01:24:34 - 01:24:36 | Speaker 2:

Okay, call Shannon out. That's right.

01:24:36 - 01:24:38 | Speaker 1:

Take me down with you. She's sick. She's got an infection.

01:24:38 - 01:24:42 | Speaker 2:

She's got an infection. It hurts when she pees. Okay?

01:24:44 - 01:24:47 | Speaker 3:

Congratulations to you, Kenan. Have a great time, buddy.

01:24:48 - 01:24:49 | Speaker 2:

Thanks, Mojo. Appreciate it, man.

01:24:50 - 01:27:38 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning. So last night, I ended up going out with a friend. We've got Chelsea and I have some friends in town. And my buddy Dennis and I were hanging out and having drinks, and all of a sudden his phone rang. And he picked it up because these guys are in from California with their son, and they're going to go with us to East Lansing. Their son was accepted at Michigan State, and they're going to come with us this weekend to go look at East Lansing and go look at the dorms and all that stuff. which would be kind of a cool thing that our friends and we'll have kids that are going to school together so long story short his phone rings and he picks it up and I hear him on the phone going yeah uh huh uh huh yeah yeah you read it oh you weren't supposed to read it no no no okay no he's like talking like this and he gets off the phone after being on the phone for a while and he goes oh that was that was Charlie that was my son Charlie and I said yeah and he goes And I said, what was he not supposed to read? And he goes, oh, he goes, when Leah and I travel and we're not all traveling together as a family, he said, I write a note to the kids that are not traveling with us, and I give them a message saying, hey, if anything should happen, like the plane go down and God forbid something happened to us, go into, and he told them, go into the upper drawer. i think in his his uh kitchen or something like that or i don't know and grab and what it is is he writes a note to them basically you know like a post-mortem note and then in there has all of the documents legal documents of everything that they would need to know all the stuff that they would need who they need to contact all the stuff just in case god forbid they all you know they die together you know Leah Dennis and uh and uh Max and he looks at me he goes you do that right and I go no I think that's weird and he goes what and I said yeah I think that that's like morbid and weird that you're doing that you know what I mean like I don't even it's weird because Chelsea Luke and I we travel together a lot because Luke's our baby so he's the one still at home yeah so there's a lot of times where you know we have gone to go to you know florida or we've gone to chicago or we've gone to new york or we've gone to different places and i don't tell the other two kids or write notes for them or leave even you know i like honestly and then i started thinking to myself as i was thinking this i was going am i in the am i the wrong one here like is this wrong that i don't

01:27:38 - 01:28:58 | Speaker 2:

do this i remember you made videos for the kids when you were going on the table for nine hours of open heart surgery because you were facing death in the face travel i feel like a lot of people don't think about that but it it depends on how risky like i don't do it every time i'm taking a trip because i think you know honestly air flight even though it scares the hell out of me i hate flying it's safer than driving every day you know my commute to work is more dangerous than the flight i'm going to take to california but when i went on risky more adventurous travel Like when you went to Africa. When I was hiking through the desert of Africa on what they call the Skeleton Coast because of how uninhabitable it is. Or when I was climbing glaciers in Iceland. Like that's stuff where it's risky and I want to make sure my affairs were in order. If I'm going to choose to be dumb and go to these dangerous places, I want to make sure at least I left everything all buttoned up at home. So I would organize all the paperwork, all the financials and everything. So if I did fall into an ice cave and could never be found again, at least I know my girls are taken care of. This is giving me anxiety. None of that. I never wrote the letter. I never wrote the, you know, the I love you and I always, you know, and the whole emotional thing. I just made sure they were going to get my bank account if I died. Annette?

01:28:59 - 01:29:02 | Speaker 1:

Yes, I think that is a good idea.

01:29:02 - 01:29:02 | Speaker 3:

You do?

01:29:02 - 01:29:18 | Speaker 1:

Yes, because a lot of people don't really understand what goes into, I need to know who to contact, where are the insurance documents. Now I've got to do a GoFundMe to pay for this funeral until I can get this insurance policy. So I think this is a really good idea.

01:29:18 - 01:29:30 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so you think, now what about this though? Leaving all your passwords to your computer, your phone, and all the rest of that stuff. Then I have to change my password after if nothing happens.

01:29:30 - 01:29:49 | Speaker 1:

Okay, now that part, I think that part I would have left, like, a separate note. Yeah. You know, yeah, that part I would have done different or I would be like, hey, we're going to give this to Grandma. So if something happens, so go to Grandma's house and tell her, hey, my dad left this envelope. I need that envelope right now.

01:29:49 - 01:29:53 | Speaker 3:

Oh, don't leave it with Grandma. Grandmas forget everything. They don't remember where anything is.

01:29:53 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 2:

I put all the passwords and all the financial stuff in my cheap IKEA file cabinet that's in the basement. You know, and then that.

01:30:00 - 01:30:07 | Speaker 3:

way, if I die, they can easily break into it. But I don't want you snooping at it. If I'm just, you know, overseas for a week, you're not going to look at my password.

01:30:08 - 01:30:17 | Speaker 2:

Next time Spike has a house party, we know we're searching for that right away. Rachel, what's happening? Hey, how are you guys? We're good. What do you think about this?

01:30:18 - 01:30:37 | Speaker 5:

So I think it's a great idea to leave behind the passwords and such. But I wanted to tell you guys that when my brother and i were little my parents traveled to hawaii and left us recordings um and i still haven't uh listened to mine uh because my mom is still alive but when

01:30:37 - 01:31:03 | Speaker 2:

she dies i plan to listen to it okay so i i have to say this um you know dennis's son was not supposed to look at that letter like he was not supposed to look at it but i would be just like him and i'd go right for it of course because anytime that anybody tells me don't do something I do it, you know, like, don't touch the hot stove. Oh, okay. You know, I'm touching that stuff. Right. Thank you.

01:31:04 - 01:31:06 | Speaker 7:

I was with you until that.

01:31:06 - 01:31:08 | Speaker 2:

I was with you until that part. Hi, Sam.

01:31:09 - 01:31:10 | Speaker 7:

Hi, how are you guys?

01:31:11 - 01:31:12 | Speaker 2:

We're good. What's going on?

01:31:12 - 01:31:25 | Speaker 7:

My mom has like a death binder. It has like all of her funeral arrangements, like what she would want done at her funeral, All of that stuff, like finance, passwords. She's had it for years.

01:31:25 - 01:31:29 | Speaker 3:

But has she shared it for you to look at now, or it's only after you die, after she dies?

01:31:29 - 01:31:39 | Speaker 7:

No, like I could go look at it now if I wanted to. It's like on a shelf in her office. It's not like under lock and key. But there are letters to us in a lockbox that we don't have access to.

01:31:39 - 01:31:41 | Speaker 2:

Don't you want to know how much money you get?

01:31:42 - 01:31:47 | Speaker 7:

No. I feel like my mom worked hard. I want her to spend it. I'm not that kid.

01:31:48 - 01:31:59 | Speaker 2:

My son Luke is like that. Luke is so funny whenever we talk about, like, you know, hey, you guys are going to get this, you guys are going to get that. Luke's like, I don't want anything. I want you guys to go out broke. And I'm like, oh, I love it, but I don't know when I'm going to die.

01:32:00 - 01:32:06 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I'm like, put post-its on stuff now. And I'm like, in your 60s, like, no, that's not okay.

01:32:06 - 01:32:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. What's up, Mojo in the Morning? Natalie, how you doing?

01:32:10 - 01:32:11 | Speaker 6:

Hi, good. How are you guys?

01:32:11 - 01:32:12 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's going on?

01:32:12 - 01:32:42 | Speaker 6:

Good. Well, my parents, we have, like, this huge, like, fireproof, waterproof, crazy safe. And when we all were old enough, like my parents sat us down and they walked us through, like it has like all these like little folders in it. You know, it's like the will, passwords, financial stuff, like what to do, funeral arrangements, yada, yada. And each sibling gets a key. And there's like extra keys hidden places in case, you know, something happens. But that way we have access to it and we all know where it is and it'll be safe no matter what. So I think that's a pretty good idea without being too overwhelming and scary.

01:32:43 - 01:32:51 | Speaker 2:

Natalie, just like that last caller and I asked that question, what would you do if you could get into that safe just to look and see what everybody's going to get?

01:32:53 - 01:32:57 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I don't know, honestly. I feel like I don't really want to know. It kind of makes me sad, you know?

01:32:57 - 01:33:14 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no, no. Here's the deal. My dad died, left us nothing. 0.0, okay? Got nothing out of the whole deal. None of us kids did. He left it all to his wife. I would have gone in there And I would have stole those papers And never allowed that to ever be seen ever again

01:33:14 - 01:33:16 | Speaker 6:

Honestly, now you're tempting me a little bit

01:33:16 - 01:33:18 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you, you better be careful

01:33:18 - 01:33:20 | Speaker 6:

You're kind of a bad influencer

01:33:20 - 01:33:24 | Speaker 2:

Listen, I'm just telling you Look out for yourself Nobody else is going to

01:33:24 - 01:33:26 | Speaker 6:

Mark and Teresa, I'm coming for that

01:33:26 - 01:33:33 | Speaker 2:

Well, here's the deal We're going from Mark and Teresa's And then we're going over to Spike's house To go get that Ikea thing that he's got

01:33:33 - 01:33:35 | Speaker 4:

The Ikea thing's locked

01:33:35 - 01:33:39 | Speaker 2:

But it's an Ikea thing You think that that lock is going to keep us from that?

01:33:40 - 01:34:01 | Speaker 4:

That's why I did it that way. All I need is in the air. We're getting it. Oh, we're saying thanks for the laughs. Spike prefers you to show him appreciation with $10,000 in unmarked bills or Bitcoin. Another world-famous phone scam happens at 9.50 on Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:34:01 - 01:34:03 | Speaker 2:

All right, Shannon, what you got trending this hour in the dirty?

01:34:04 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, Vanessa Hudgens, former high school musical star, and Colorado Rockies star Cole Tucker are engaged after dating for about three years. I'm told that poll officially popped the question at the tail end of 2022 while they were on vacation in Paris. It's pretty cool. Yesterday, the Pentagon said it's tracking a Chinese surveillance balloon that's currently crossing the northern United States. The balloon is described as about the size of three buses. It was spotted over Montana. I know yesterday officials said it made a ground stop in Billings. Now, there's been a great debate about whether to shoot down the balloon with President Biden in favor of doing so. But Defense Department officials worry that might cause injuries to people on the ground. I do know that NORAD sent F-22 Raptors to the area in case they were needed. But defense officials say they're not concerned about spying because they know what the balloon is over.

01:35:00 - 01:35:09 | Speaker 2:

And because it's at such a high altitude, officials say the balloon poses no danger to airplanes. This is Michael Mulroy, a former Defense Department deputy.

01:35:10 - 01:35:14 | Speaker 1:

This may be an attempt to send a message to the United States by China.

01:35:15 - 01:35:16 | Speaker 4:

What kind of message?

01:35:16 - 01:35:34 | Speaker 1:

One, that they're watching us and that they can look at our most sensitive sites. They probably knew that this was reported. We have an open press in the United States. and they want the americans to see that they that they do have the capabilities to put uh sensitive military collection devices like these over the continent you know why the military

01:35:34 - 01:35:39 | Speaker 3:

doesn't want us to shoot it down because we probably have 20 of them over china too they

01:35:39 - 01:35:48 | Speaker 4:

don't want to escalate it yeah it's from china no they're saying they're saying that they don't want to shoot it because the people on the ground could get harmed by the debris that falls of

01:35:48 - 01:35:54 | Speaker 3:

course but they they said you know oh it's near billings montana it might fall on people but That's not the real reason.

01:35:55 - 01:36:10 | Speaker 4:

Listen, I got to be honest with you. I'd shoot that thing down in a second. I'd go after it in a millisecond and show some strength. You know, tell them you don't fly your balloon over us and our stuff. Man, that would send a message right away.

01:36:11 - 01:36:27 | Speaker 2:

Twilight star Taylor Lautner is revisiting the 2009 VMAs. Remember when Kanye West hopped up on stage and interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech? Well, Taylor Lautner was the one who presented Taylor Swift with that award.

01:36:28 - 01:36:50 | Speaker 5:

I gave her the award. I took, you know, five steps back and was standing five feet behind her. Yeah, in the middle of her giving her thank you speech, Kanye jumps up onto the stage. And I'm standing behind them. I can't see either of their faces. I can barely hear it. I'm just assuming that this whole thing was a practice and rehearse skit.

01:36:50 - 01:37:00 | Speaker 2:

yeah and uh were they dating at the time taylor and taylor dating at that time dating i don't remember if it was at that time i feel like they were anyway he said he was not quite sure what

01:37:00 - 01:37:21 | Speaker 5:

01:37:22 - 01:37:24 | Speaker 4:

What's Taylor Lautner doing these days?

01:37:24 - 01:37:25 | Speaker 2:

He just got married.

01:37:25 - 01:37:26 | Speaker 4:

01:37:27 - 01:37:28 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. That's a good question.

01:37:28 - 01:37:31 | Speaker 3:

I just saw him in something, but I don't remember what it was.

01:37:31 - 01:37:35 | Speaker 2:

Does he have a podcast with his wife? I feel like he does have a podcast.

01:37:35 - 01:37:35 | Speaker 3:

Everybody's got a podcast.

01:37:36 - 01:37:36 | Speaker 2:

01:37:37 - 01:37:40 | Speaker 4:

01:37:40 - 01:37:42 | Speaker 2:

And an extraordinarily nice human being, too.

01:37:42 - 01:37:53 | Speaker 4:

01:38:19 - 01:38:22 | Speaker 5:

He's the same as Robert Pattinson You know, the new Batman

01:38:22 - 01:39:15 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, Gwyneth Paltrow And Brad Pitt may have split decades ago But she is still holding on to a few things From their relationship One of the outfits she wore during that time Yesterday, she was sharing a video Of her storage facility A.K.A. the very dreamy walk-in closet With all sorts of gorgeous designer clothing On Goop's YouTube channel and she revealed she still has one item of clothing that was worn from her 1990s romance with Brad. It's the white floral embroidered Calvin Klein dress that she wore to the premiere of The Pallbearer in New York City. They actually matched that night. Both were wearing tiny framed sunglasses and they had similar golden blonde highlights in their hair. And although they split in 1997, six months after getting engaged, they still have a really close friendship and she's still hanging on to that one thing from their relationship. Do you have anything from any of your past relationships?

01:39:15 - 01:39:15 | Speaker 4:

Me?

01:39:15 - 01:39:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:39:16 - 01:39:20 | Speaker 4:

01:40:06 - 01:40:10 | Speaker 1:

No, no. I'll grab the winner right after these words. We'll be right back.

01:40:11 - 01:40:24 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning. Everywhere you go. On Twitter, Facebook, and IG. At Mojo in the morning. Hell, we're even on the overhead in Kroger. And find us on the iHeartRadio app. And listen to the Mojo podcast every day.

01:40:26 - 01:40:40 | Speaker 3:

Friendly reminder this morning that you are good enough. I mean, we're a bunch of idiots that just happen to have a radio show. And chances are you're funnier than we are. This is Mojo in the Morning. Your call may be monitored or recorded.

01:40:41 - 01:40:46 | Speaker 1:

Pat. Hello. How you doing, Pat? You're the winner. Congratulations to you.

01:40:46 - 01:40:48 | Speaker 4:

Excellent. Thank you very much.

01:40:48 - 01:43:15 | Speaker 1:

$250 from Kroger, and you are now qualified for the $10,000 in the grocery grab. We quickly need to get your information because I don't know where you're going to be within the next hour. Make sure you give that location because we're going out with Kroger Delivery and delivering $10,000 in gift cards to somebody, and it could be you. Very cool. We love you for listening. Looking at the winners, your chances are good because we've done this for like three weeks, and I think it's one winner a day for three weeks, so that's pretty good. All right, hold on one second. Hold on. Lydia will grab your information. KP is actually going to be loading up into the Kroger Delivery truck. Kroger Delivery, refrigerated trucks, and delivery pros bringing full, fresh, and friendly groceries to you from store to doorstep. Kroger Delivery will take care of you, and they're going to be doing that for you coming up here in just a little bit. I want to bring something up because I think this is important, and I think I mention it every now and again. but I don't think our listeners sometimes might understand exactly what I'm talking about. It might be going right over your head. I just looked at Mojo in the Morning on the iHeartRadio app, so our podcast. And it's listed as Mojo in the Morning. It's got a nice little picture of all of us. And you can actually put it to auto-download. So it auto-just sends right to your phone. And you first got to follow us and then do auto-download. I just looked at this. the throwback throwdown is already podcast from today. If you, if, and it was earlier this hour. So that means that if you miss Mojo in the morning, like if you tune in and it's normally like at whatever time and you go crap, I'm late today and I missed this instead of waiting until this afternoon or, you know, this evening and listening back to the show, listen to it while you're driving. No offense. Sometimes we get into stuff that you may not be that interested in. And instead of you turning to the radio station to go to somewhere else to see what's on, I want you to listen to good stuff that happened earlier this morning. You can listen to our podcast as the show goes on. We podcast it as it goes on. And it gives you an opportunity to be able to catch up on the show. If you want to hear what the 630 Dirty was, go listen to the 630 Dirty, but you can listen to it at 851.

01:43:15 - 01:43:22 | Speaker 4:

And once you follow us, once something's podcasted, it'll give you a little alert. Hey, there's something new to listen to.

01:43:22 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 1:

I will say this, that I find the iHeartRadio app to be the best as far as, and I'm not saying this just because it's us, but it's the quickest to upload. And so that's great. So whatever you listen on, we're fine with that. But hopefully iHeartRadio. So listen to the show as the show goes on. And then this is another thing. Like, I know you, you know, you love us because, you know, why wouldn't you? Over the weekend, when you're bored and there's no football on this weekend, except for two-hand touch football or flag football in the AFC and NFC Pro Bowl, the dumbest thing ever, catch up on the show and the stuff that you missed through the week. So actually do binge Mojo in the morning listening and check out what we got going on. So download the podcast and do all that stuff. Somebody said something to me. They're like, man, I just, you know, I got to listen to that War of the Roses again or I got to hear this scam again or I want to play it for friends. And they said, but then there are some times where I just go, yeah, you know, I'm going to listen to you guys later. And then I get stacked up and stuff like that with, you know, your podcast and I don't get a chance to listen to them. And I said, that's the beauty of the podcast is that you can listen to it when you want to. But our boss, Tony, brought this up to us. He's a freaking genius. That guy is a GD genius. He said, the majority of the people that want to listen to your show typically are morning and midday, you know, right when the show is going on. Why are we waiting to podcast until...

01:45:00 - 01:45:19 | Speaker 4:

you know, that afternoon or evening thinking that it's going to take away from their listenership, give them the opportunity to listen to the thing. It used to be back in the day in radio ratings wise. If they didn't listen that morning, we didn't even, you know, get ratings off of the whole deal. Yeah. Well now here's the deal. You can listen to us anytime we want. Cause we got bad ratings anyway.

01:45:21 - 01:45:40 | Speaker 3:

You know, you know, my friend Tim does, here's a hack for you. Love, love Tim. he's my buddy download the podcast and then when we go into commercials on live radio he'll listen to a segment that was earlier in the morning that he missed and then when that's over comes back to live radio Tim I like that Tim never ever hear commercials

01:45:40 - 01:46:51 | Speaker 4:

Tim don't do that wait wait support the advertisers that listen to us Tim wink wink how about this when I play when I play another bad Taylor Swift song then you can listen to I didn't say I would ever do that I'm just saying that's something he does. Tim's an a-hole. No, but honestly, you listen when you want to. And the other thing, too, is, you know what? One of the things, somebody else asked me a question. I can't remember who the listener was, but I ran into him earlier this week. And they said, I love you guys. I would go to war for you guys. I would battle for you guys because they've been listening to the show for a while. and they've heard a lot of the stuff that we've done in all of our communities and they just really appreciate, you know, the stuff we do. And I said to them, I go, do me a favor. There's two things. Listen to this radio show when you have an opportunity to or at least tell people you listen. I don't even care. Just say, hey, I listen to Mojo in the morning, even if you don't listen. And support our advertisers because, honestly, without them, we don't have jobs. So that's it. And buy Girl Scout cookies from our kids. That's number three.

01:46:52 - 01:46:53 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. When did my cookies come in?

01:46:54 - 01:46:58 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I have to look. We're already done selling, but I don't know when they come in.

01:46:58 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 5:

Mike, Cecily, did she do good on her? So if I'm being very honest, last year I kind of helped her a little bit, even though I was told not to. A little bit. Yeah. So she had a big number to kind of do this year. Yeah. And so to do what you're supposed to do with it, I stepped away and let her do it on her own, and I think she's – she can't hear me. I think she's bombing, like, really bad. But she has to.

01:47:22 - 01:47:25 | Speaker 4:

We got to come to her aid. You need to tell us where we buy.

01:47:26 - 01:47:29 | Speaker 5:

I don't know that I want that because she's got to let her learn her lesson. Yeah, she's not doing anything.

01:47:29 - 01:47:38 | Speaker 4:

I did the same thing this year. Did you? Yep. Uncle Mojo and Aunt Chelsea are coming to the rescue. No, she needs to learn. No, no.

01:47:38 - 01:47:39 | Speaker 5:

February 12th, Spike.

01:47:39 - 01:47:41 | Speaker 4:

I literally just got it. Thank you.

01:47:42 - 01:47:44 | Speaker 3:

Anyone need any? I'm going to sell them for $5 a box when they come in.

01:47:46 - 01:47:47 | Speaker 4:

Maria, what's up?

01:47:48 - 01:47:49 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Mojo. How are you?

01:47:49 - 01:47:50 | Speaker 4:

Good. What's going on?

01:47:51 - 01:48:07 | Speaker 1:

I just wanted to let you know that I listen to Mojo in the morning like 24-7. So if anybody ever gets in my car, they're like, what the heck? I'm like, yeah, the podcast is on. I missed, I had a meeting, you know, last week in the morning. So now I'm catching up on stuff from last week. I never miss. Thank you.

01:48:08 - 01:48:09 | Speaker 4:

Wow, that's awesome. Thank you.

01:48:09 - 01:48:11 | Speaker 1:

I really do appreciate that. Yeah.

01:48:11 - 01:48:13 | Speaker 4:

Love you for that, Maria. Thank you so much.

01:48:14 - 01:48:17 | Speaker 1:

01:50:55 - 01:50:59 | Speaker 2:

Yes, ma'am. I don't know how to text. You know, I don't know how to do it.

01:50:59 - 01:51:06 | Speaker 1:

You don't know how to text to win? Do you not have, like, a phone that you can just text on? You don't know how to do that?

01:51:07 - 01:51:13 | Speaker 2:

Well, you know, I don't know how to do it. You know, I'm like, Nicole, damn it, I need some notice.

01:51:15 - 01:51:16 | Speaker 1:

Hold on a second.

01:51:16 - 01:51:17 | Speaker 2:

I don't know how to do it.

01:51:18 - 01:51:25 | Speaker 1:

No, no, hold on a second here. We're going to, let me get Nicole here. Where is she at? Here you go.

01:51:25 - 01:51:27 | Speaker 2:

Oh, she's at work. We can't bother her.

01:51:27 - 01:51:29 | Speaker 1:

No, no, no. She can talk to us.

01:51:29 - 01:51:33 | Speaker 2:

What does she do? What does Nicole do for a living?

01:51:34 - 01:51:36 | Speaker 1:

What does Nicole do for a living?

01:51:37 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 2:

Oh, God knows what she does for a living. She works for fantastic people.

01:51:42 - 01:51:43 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Hold on.

01:51:43 - 01:51:43 | Speaker 2:

Hello?

01:51:43 - 01:51:44 | Speaker 1:

Nicole?

01:51:44 - 01:51:45 | Speaker 2:

Hello?

01:51:45 - 01:51:46 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo.

01:51:46 - 01:51:47 | Speaker 2:

Hi. Hi, Mojo.

01:51:48 - 01:51:50 | Speaker 1:

Hey, your mom won't stop bothering us here.

01:51:50 - 01:51:53 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. We started it. What did we start here?

01:51:54 - 01:52:04 | Speaker 1:

She's on the phone right now, and she's wanting to, she's wanted to say hello to us, and now I can't get her off the phone. She says that she...

01:52:04 - 01:52:07 | Speaker 3:

Nicole,

01:52:07 - 01:52:11 | Speaker 1:

she says that she doesn't know how to win anything because she doesn't know how to text.

01:52:12 - 01:52:15 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no, she knows how to text. She blows up my phone all day.

01:52:15 - 01:52:18 | Speaker 1:

So why is she telling us that she can't

01:52:18 - 01:52:21 | Speaker 2:

text? But I don't know how when they go to win the money.

01:52:21 - 01:52:30 | Speaker 1:

Well, we tell you when. We tell you when to text. You gotta listen. At 9, 10, and 10, 10, every morning, we give you a chance to win $1,000 there.

01:52:31 - 01:52:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, man. I'm going to try to get in the cano, and I'm going to let Nicole teach me. Otherwise, I'm not watching the kids this weekend.

01:52:41 - 01:52:48 | Speaker 1:

What in the world, Nicole, does mom do all day? Did she just sit at home all day and watch, you know?

01:52:48 - 01:52:58 | Speaker 2:

No, mommy cleans Nicole's house. She babysits. I do for other people. I don't sit home. I like to be busy all the time.

01:52:58 - 01:52:59 | Speaker 1:

Really? Is that right, Nicole?

01:53:00 - 01:53:06 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. Yesterday she came over. She made me dinner. I had dinner ready. She cleaned my house. Oh, my gosh.

01:53:06 - 01:53:10 | Speaker 1:

What does mom do for fun? I've always wanted to know what mom...

01:53:10 - 01:53:10 | Speaker 3:

No.

01:53:10 - 01:53:31 | Speaker 1:

That everybody dumped that. Yeah. Don't curse on the radio. No. No, I love it. Nicole just told us that her mom... Don't call me shit. Yeah. No. Yeah, you can't swear on the radio. But no, no. Here's the deal. You know what? But then we'll get we'll get you a limo ride. We had maybe we had a snafu or no, I'm going to know she's got to earn it.

01:53:31 - 01:53:35 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to she's got to earn that. We're going to we're going to have to scam her again at some point.

01:53:36 - 01:54:00 | Speaker 1:

We we haven't we have a new official limo company of the Mojo in the Morning Show. Top notch party bus and limousine. So we're going to call up who's the guy over there that owns that place? Ramon. They're all nice. You got to really shout out Lori. She runs the place. Lori's the best. Yeah, I use that for my daughter's prom. Here's the deal, Mom. You got to earn it, okay? So we're going to make you earn it right now.

01:54:00 - 01:54:00 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

01:54:00 - 01:54:09 | Speaker 1:

We're going to make you earn it right now. I want you to text me right now. All right? At 95500.

01:54:12 - 01:54:14 | Speaker 2:

Okay, 95500. Ready?

01:54:16 - 01:54:22 | Speaker 1:

95500, the word that you love to say that I can't say on the radio.

01:54:23 - 01:54:25 | Speaker 3:

What's your favorite word, Grandma?

01:54:25 - 01:54:36 | Speaker 1:

Don't say it. Don't say it, though. Just text it. Text it to me. And if I see it on this thing, the moment I see it up on our screen here, we're going to get you that prize.

01:54:37 - 01:54:47 | Speaker 2:

Mojo. Mojo. And I applaud, but she's been so good to me. She's getting me scratch-outs. I love scratch-outs. Oh, do you? I love scratch-outs, too. All right.

01:54:47 - 01:54:54 | Speaker 1:

Forget the limo. We'll just get a few lottery tickets. Hold on. We're waiting. When's it coming in?

01:54:54 - 01:55:00 | Speaker 3:

She doesn't know how to do spaces, so she uses periods. And so every word has a period after.

01:55:00 - 01:55:07 | Speaker 5:

So you'll have to put together It's like decoding Decoding her text We're waiting for it

01:55:07 - 01:55:12 | Speaker 2:

9-5-5-0-0 Have you sent it yet?

01:55:13 - 01:55:18 | Speaker 6:

Hold on And what do I do? I don't know how to do it

01:55:18 - 01:55:21 | Speaker 1:

Everybody else is texting us The dirty word

01:55:21 - 01:55:32 | Speaker 6:

Yeah I'm at Tony's house now I just get to my son's house do you know they're on the air right now or no yeah

01:55:32 - 01:55:37 | Speaker 1:

come on

01:55:37 - 01:55:39 | Speaker 6:

can you do it

01:55:39 - 01:56:07 | Speaker 3:

Did you do it? No, I didn't know it.

01:56:08 - 01:56:10 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. It's going to be seven weeks.

01:56:15 - 01:56:23 | Speaker 2:

Nicole, I'm going to get your mom that limo just for the sake that she's going to call nonstop to complain that she never got the thing.

01:56:24 - 01:56:34 | Speaker 4:

Mojo, I've been here in a plane for how many years? What was that? Eight years ago? She'll tell me. She goes, after all that, I've never got my limo right. And I'm like, oh, my gosh, Grandma.

01:56:34 - 01:56:39 | Speaker 1:

Well, no, she got it. It's just she never texts back the info we needed to get.

01:56:39 - 01:56:42 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, she claims they never called her Spike.

01:56:42 - 01:57:09 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

01:57:09 - 01:57:16 | Speaker 2:

What's that? Can I come to the Sunday? Yes. Are we all invited, Nicole? Lydia and the entire crew?

01:57:17 - 01:57:21 | Speaker 5:

Oh, for sure. You guys are invited. But Mojo, ask Grandma how long it took her to be nice to the white boy.

01:57:21 - 01:57:26 | Speaker 2:

I can only imagine. How long did it take you to be nice to the white boy there, Grandma?

01:57:26 - 01:57:29 | Speaker 6:

Oh, he's still, you know, on probation yet.

01:57:32 - 01:57:34 | Speaker 2:

Mojo on the morning show. We're very professional here.

01:57:35 - 01:57:37 | Speaker 1:

Still hungover. I know. How are you feeling over there?

01:57:37 - 01:58:13 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, I'm dragging right now. But you know what? I got something to look forward to because we got another chance for you to win $1,000. And then KP has already hit the road. She said that T-minus 20 minutes and counting until she is giving away $10,000 from Kroger. And she's with the Kroger delivery people. So she is very close, very close to giving that away. So stick around for it. It's on the way here in just a little bit. All right. It is Mojo on the morning show. Someone tried to steal Megan's phone. A phone thief.

01:58:14 - 01:58:26 | Speaker 7:

What? Where were you? The five-finger discount. I don't know if I want to say. It happened this week, and I don't leave the house much, so you think about where I was.

01:58:27 - 01:58:30 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you don't leave the house much? You were at the radio station?

01:58:30 - 01:58:34 | Speaker 7:

No. Beetlejuice? Okay.

01:58:34 - 01:58:37 | Speaker 2:

So at Beetlejuice, someone started to steal your phone?

01:58:37 - 01:59:07 | Speaker 7:

Almost. So at the end of the show, and I don't know, Spike, if you caught this because you were actually sitting right next to me, but there was a woman behind me who, when we stood up in the end to give our roarous applause to the amazing cast, she leaned down and my phone, which was like, you know how you sit with your phone in between your legs? And I, like, stood up and it was still in the seat? Yes. She leaned down and she started to grab it. And you know how you can sense when a person behind you is, like, near you?

01:59:07 - 01:59:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You just get that weird feeling.

01:59:10 - 01:59:29 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. And I felt somebody near me. So I turned around, didn't realize. She's reaching for my phone, looks up at my eyes, goes, oh. Like, I got caught. And then goes, is this your phone? Yeah. It's my phone. It's on my seat. What are you talking about? You're leaning over onto my seat grabbing my phone. It's my phone.

01:59:29 - 01:59:35 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. It's like you didn't find it on the floor by the door. You found it on my seat that you just saw me sitting on.

01:59:35 - 01:59:45 | Speaker 7:

And you weren't getting ready to leave or anything, right? No, it was just the- Just at the end. Yes. Okay. A little standing ovation moment because I deserved it. I was going to say, if you were on your way out-

01:59:45 - 02:00:06 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. When they were doing the standing O, she tried to- Yes! Has anybody ever been robbed like this before? Like when you're just doing something? Like here Megan was at a Broadway show and a person's trying to like- kickpocket her out of her phone that's a genius move on her part I know it was criminals are

02:00:06 - 02:00:36 | Speaker 6:

smart but I caught her red-handed and I never knew like how often do you catch the person trying to steal it because I'm the most unobservant person in the entire world like I'll be driving and my brother will be like we just passed three cops and I'm like where he's like on the side of the road like I what happened I have no actually honestly shouldn't have a driver's license but um yeah it was just crazy that I'm the most unobservant person ever and i caught you red-handed and then it was the worst excuse to get is this your phone wow no linda

02:00:36 - 02:01:01 | Speaker 2:

that was not listen i i have to tell you that those criminals know those those criminals know what they're doing man when it comes to like pickpockets and stuff i i always you know hear stories all the time about in you know crowded areas like leaving the theater like you had where people like should always put their hands in their pockets yeah and hold on to everything because that's where people will bump into you and kind of like make that move.

02:01:01 - 02:01:03 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, you know where I'm the worst? Do my clothes have pockets?

02:01:04 - 02:01:26 | Speaker 3:

Oh. The worst, and I do this, I don't know, Megan, if you do it, I feel like we all do it, is if you're sitting outside at a restaurant, especially on like a patio where people can walk by, you're not supposed to have your phone out on the table where they can just grab it if you're deep in conversation or whatever. And I'm so guilty of doing that. I do it all the time. I just leave my phone right there and half the time I'm not paying attention.

02:01:26 - 02:01:41 | Speaker 2:

Did you see that there's a bunch of kids that are running into businesses, like places like restaurants and things like that, and they're probably no older than like 14 or so years old, and they just run around and start grabbing everybody's phones and run out of the place.

02:01:41 - 02:01:42 | Speaker 6:

That's terrifying.

02:01:43 - 02:01:56 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, it's unbelievable. Like that, the catalytic converter, you know, people just ripping off the catalytic converters. The people that like do the flash mob theft in stores. Grace, what's going on? Megan caught a thief.

02:01:57 - 02:02:19 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so we went into a restaurant, ate, left. My husband left his phone on the table. He went back in looking for it. The people that were sitting there after we left said that they didn't have it. I went back in with him, called the phone. This woman had it in her purse. Oh, geez. We're talking like a 50-year-old woman. It was like crazy. It's like, I can't believe she just did that.

02:02:19 - 02:02:26 | Speaker 2:

Can I ask you a question? Because I always want to know what these people look like. Did she just look like a normal, nice 50-year-old lady?

02:02:27 - 02:02:30 | Speaker 4:

Well, it was in Milford, so she looked more than normal.

02:02:30 - 02:02:33 | Speaker 2:

Okay. She looked more. Yeah, because people in Milford.

02:02:34 - 02:02:36 | Speaker 4:

I don't get her comment.

02:02:36 - 02:02:40 | Speaker 2:

No, but that's where you go. You go to places like Milford where they're just, you know, down-home America.

02:02:42 - 02:02:46 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it was a nice restaurant. It's not like she looked like she needed a phone. Okay, okay.

02:02:47 - 02:02:53 | Speaker 2:

How about the car theft, too, like where people are breaking into cars? That's happening in a lot of neighborhoods.

02:02:54 - 02:02:55 | Speaker 3:

That's my neighborhood every week right now.

02:02:55 - 02:02:56 | Speaker 2:

Sandra, what's up?

02:02:57 - 02:02:57 | Unknown:

Hi.

02:02:58 - 02:02:59 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Mojo. Hey, what's going on?

02:03:01 - 02:03:03 | Speaker 5:

Nothing much. How are you?

02:03:03 - 02:03:09 | Speaker 2:

Good. We're talking about Megan here and how somebody tried to steal her phone when she was at a show at the Opera House.

02:03:11 - 02:03:28 | Speaker 5:

Right. So we have a store in Detroit, a party store. Yes, I'm Kalthian. And my husband had his phone in his back pocket And a really good customer as well I mean, she has issues too I mean, you know, issues Anyway

02:03:28 - 02:03:34 | Speaker 2:

She sounds like my sister, Pat Okay, and what happened?

02:03:35 - 02:03:59 | Speaker 5:

So he reaches in his back pocket The phone's gone And my daughter was working with him that day And she tried, you know, we all have a locator on each other. And she's like, Dad, I can locate your phone. Well, he found it. It was at a bus stop somewhere in Detroit. So he and a customer went there. It was the woman that he always helps out that has issues. And she says, oh, I found it on the floor.

02:04:00 - 02:04:04 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, right. Does she still come into your guys' store?

02:04:05 - 02:04:20 | Speaker 5:

No, no, he kicked her out. But my daughter dates a guy who has a pawn shop in Warren. And I guess she sold – my husband had his phone stolen one time before. And her boyfriend said, oh, yeah, she came in there and pawned the phone off to us.

02:04:20 - 02:04:21 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

02:04:23 - 02:04:24 | Speaker 3:

Repeat offender.

02:04:24 - 02:04:31 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's – and that must be where they take these phones, Megan, to the pawn shop and sell these things. I can't believe the pawn shops will buy that, though.

02:04:31 - 02:04:49 | Speaker 1:

Well, they do have rules and laws. They got to wait. They got to hold on to things for a certain amount of time before they're allowed to resell it. Like, if someone comes in with a big pile of jewelry or a phone, like, they can't just turn it right around because they have to leave a window for any missing items to be reported or stolen items.

02:04:49 - 02:04:58 | Speaker 6:

Do you get good deals at a pawn shop? Because, like, I've been looking to get some nice jewelry for myself, but I just don't know if I can afford it right now.

02:04:58 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

Wait, would you buy somebody's?

02:05:00 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 3:

The stolen property?

02:05:01 - 02:05:10 | Speaker 1:

Well, not the stolen. But, like, maybe a loved one had passed and they were trying to treat themselves to a vacation in their memory. And in order to do that, they were selling their stuff.

02:05:10 - 02:05:14 | Speaker 3:

Or their spouse cheated on them and they pawned the ring. Something like that, right?

02:05:14 - 02:05:16 | Speaker 1:

They also need a new television.

02:05:18 - 02:05:29 | Speaker 3:

I got a break because I got to get this break out of the way because KP is going to be on with us live giving away $10,000. Producer KP loves country boys like a farmer loves his John Deere.

02:05:30 - 02:05:35 | Unknown:

This is Mojo in the Morning. Give it away, give it away, give it away now.

02:05:35 - 02:05:37 | Speaker 2:

Give it away, give it away, give it away now.

02:05:38 - 02:05:40 | Unknown:

Give it away, give it away, give it away now.

02:05:40 - 02:06:04 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It is time to go to producer KP, who is out live. Actually, on a Facebook Live, too, I understand. On Facebook Live, you can watch this live. But we are about to Kroger delivery $10,000 to a Mojo in the Morning listener, KP.

02:06:08 - 02:06:09 | Speaker 3:

How are you?

02:06:09 - 02:06:16 | Speaker 1:

I am freezing. It is cold out. I wish I had that Kroger shirt on or that little puffer. Oh, my God.

02:06:17 - 02:06:29 | Speaker 3:

Man, I don't blame you. Seriously, this is a hard assignment on days like today. But you know what? it will warm you up when you walk in and you surprise uh-oh this is going to be interesting

02:06:29 - 02:06:43 | Speaker 1:

02:07:59 - 02:08:13 | Speaker 1:

All right. You're right outside your classroom right now, everybody. Hello? Can you go in front? Can I have you guys have a seat? Is anybody here? Special delivery.

02:08:15 - 02:08:22 | Speaker 2:

02:08:42 - 02:08:43 | Speaker 3:

02:09:10 - 02:09:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. She's so sweet to us right now.

02:09:17 - 02:09:17 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

02:09:17 - 02:09:33 | Speaker 2:

She's in shock, complete shock. You guys. Wow. She's talking to her class. They're giving us snacks. They gave me so much money, and I can buy you my snacks.

02:09:34 - 02:09:42 | Speaker 3:

02:10:00 - 02:10:02 | Speaker 1:

I love, can you hear me, Lottie?

02:10:03 - 02:10:04 | Speaker 5:

I can hear you, Tom.

02:10:04 - 02:10:48 | Speaker 1:

I can hear me, Tom. I love it. When people know my name, they call me that. I love it. Lottie, I want to tell you something. You are an awesome teacher from what your principal told KP when she just showed up there. You were the 95th caller to win $250 from Kroger. We are now upping that to $10,000, okay? And you give a nice hug for KP Oh, that's beautiful Hey, congratulations to you You have beautiful kids in that classroom And you're an unbelievable inspiration for those kids Those kids will remember you for the rest of their lives Because you're touching their lives so much Use that money and do some nice things with it, okay?

02:10:49 - 02:11:06 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Mojo Yeah Mojo, we also have to unload the truck Because Kroger gave you a head start with the snacks they brought you a ton of snacks and school supplies for your classroom. Hopefully this $10,000 will last you maybe a week with this class. Wow, look at all that stuff.

02:11:07 - 02:11:19 | Speaker 5:

I need to tell you, too, I'm wearing these earrings that I won some to Corey for the Diamond a Day giveaway a few years ago. No way! You'll be lucky, they're on stuff.

02:11:20 - 02:11:25 | Speaker 2:

Pays to listen. Oh, look at her showing off the earrings. Oh, you are so cute.

02:11:25 - 02:11:53 | Speaker 1:

You are, you are the best. And, and I will tell you that I remember my kindergarten teacher, Ms. Miles. I remember her like, literally, I remember, you know, my family because she was like you where she was fun, young, and loved to take care of us and make us learn a fun way. So you're doing a great job. Were the kids doing like sit down reading or something? They look like they're all having a good time. It was morning circle. Is that what it is? Yeah. Wrist-cross applesauce. Wow.

02:11:53 - 02:11:53 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

02:11:54 - 02:11:55 | Speaker 1:

That's great.

02:11:55 - 02:11:55 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

02:11:56 - 02:11:56 | Speaker 1:

Well.

02:11:56 - 02:12:19 | Speaker 5:

Can I give a shout-out, too, that Mrs. Moore in Wayne Elementary in 1978, because I'm not that young, she's the reason that I do what I do, because she believed in me, and she's the reason I do what I do for these kids. Wow. And I'll never forget her. Oh, my gosh. That's cute.

02:12:19 - 02:12:34 | Speaker 1:

Hey, God bless you. Have a great weekend. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Last dirty of the week. So, and then that's it. That's all. What do you got?

02:12:34 - 02:12:54 | Speaker 2:

So, let's start with this Philadelphia Eagles center. Jason Kelsey and his wife, Kylie, are expecting their third child together. And since she is 38 weeks, or she will be 38 weeks along the weekend of the Super Bowl, Very possible she could give birth during the Super Bowl game. So she's bringing her OBGYN as her guest today.

02:12:55 - 02:12:56 | Speaker 1:

Smart.

02:12:56 - 02:12:59 | Speaker 2:

I think it's so smart. It's kind of funny, but it's so smart.

02:12:59 - 02:13:06 | Speaker 1:

I wonder if hospitals would let their doctor deliver in the hospital that they go deliver if that happens.

02:13:07 - 02:13:11 | Speaker 2:

Well, I think you could. You just deliver. I mean, that's an emergency at that point. You deliver anywhere you can.

02:13:11 - 02:13:21 | Speaker 1:

Maybe she's just doing it for reassuring. because I would assume that if you gave birth and, you know, your doctor was there, maybe, you know, maybe they can be like your partner, like your husband is or something like that.

02:13:21 - 02:13:24 | Speaker 2:

Do you get tickets to Super Bowls for the rest of your life? Yeah.

02:13:26 - 02:13:30 | Speaker 1:

By the way, they should do squares. You know how they sell squares? Yeah. Do squares on when she gives birth.

02:13:31 - 02:13:41 | Speaker 2:

There has to be a bet on that. I'm sure there is somewhere. Britney Spears is praising Pamela Anderson for speaking out in her Netflix documentary, which I haven't watched yet. Have any of you guys watched?

02:13:41 - 02:13:41 | Speaker 4:

Not yet.

02:13:41 - 02:14:50 | Speaker 2:

Brittany wrote on Instagram, Pamela gave me an understanding that people should support you exactly where you are in that moment of your life, unless cruelty rules the world. She also praised Pam's kids for standing up for their mom, writing, I really, really respect the fact that her children stood up for her, relating to the fact that people were trying to sell her story from the past. Now, if you aren't aware of this, Pam Anderson's 26-year-old son, Brandon, dad is Tommy Lee, produced her Netflix documentary, Pamela, A Love Story, And also helped put together the deals for not only that documentary, but also for her HarperCollins memoir, Love, Pamela. And in response to Britney's post, Brandon commented, thank you for this. You and my mom have both deserved better. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have renewed their wedding vows 15 years after they first tied the knot. And this was a big celebration. Kris Jenner was the officiant. Brandi Carlile performed. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle among the guests but here's the thing Ellen had no clue this was happening she was surprised with the renewal she thought she was going to Porsche's birthday party

02:14:50 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 4:

you don't have to say anything at all but when I was thinking about what would make

02:15:00 - 02:15:13 | Speaker 1:

birthday really special apart from being with family and friends it was reminding you that you're the most important thing in the world to me in front of family and friends even wore her

02:15:13 - 02:15:22 | Speaker 3:

wedding dress from when they got married in 2008 oh sweet dave chapelle's first performance in australia was interrupted hey this is ellen oh i'm sorry speaking of interrupted

02:15:22 - 02:15:25 | Speaker 1:

And by the way, if you ever see Mojo dancing, I didn't teach him.

02:15:26 - 02:15:29 | Speaker 4:

Someone's been missing the spotlight. She needed to talk.

02:15:29 - 02:15:34 | Speaker 6:

That's right. Hold on. It was a surprise from Ellen there. Now she's surprising us. There you go. What were you talking about?

02:15:34 - 02:16:05 | Speaker 3:

So Dave Chappelle did his very first show in Australia late last night. Fight breaks out in the crowd halfway through the show. And he was performing to a packed rack arena. And people all of a sudden started yelling and swearing in one of the top tiers at the back of the venue. Now, no footage of what happened because Chappelle maintains a strict no phones policy at all of his performances. But I do understand he was talking about how he was famously tackled on stage at the Hollywood Bowl by an audience member about a year ago. I think it's been a year since that happened when all of a sudden this fight broke out.

02:16:05 - 02:16:16 | Speaker 6:

So rumor is they have a suspect. Juicy Smouye is a very famous, very famous, fresh actor. Man, you're fast.

02:16:16 - 02:16:16 | Speaker 3:

That was good.

02:16:16 - 02:16:24 | Speaker 1:

Y'all never heard of Juicy Smoulier? Oh, my God.

02:16:25 - 02:16:31 | Speaker 3:

And just in case you missed it, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow for Groundhog's Day yesterday.

02:16:31 - 02:16:33 | Speaker 6:

Are you going to do that Canada story again?

02:16:33 - 02:16:37 | Speaker 3:

Yes, that's the only reason I need to talk about Punxsutawney Phil. I do not care about Punxsutawney Phil.

02:16:37 - 02:16:41 | Speaker 6:

Earlier this morning, Shannon surprised us with this story. You got to hear this story about this.

02:16:41 - 02:16:58 | Speaker 3:

So, Canada has a groundhog named Fred LaMamont. It's actually Quebec's specific famous groundhog, okay? Well, Fred Lamarment didn't exactly have the best groundhogs day 2023. No.

02:16:58 - 02:17:26 | Speaker 5:

What started off as a cheerful annual celebration... ...quickly turned to sorrow. ...quebec's very own furry forecaster, Fred La Marmotte died just before giving his annual Groundhog Day tradition. Presumably dying during hibernation.

02:17:27 - 02:17:37 | Speaker 3:

Here's what added intel to injury. The person who, the event organizer, the person who was emceeing the event used a stuffed toy version of Fred

02:17:37 - 02:17:43 | Speaker 4:

to carry on the job. Nobody can tell the difference. Why wouldn't they just put another groundhog in there?

02:17:44 - 02:17:46 | Speaker 6:

A stand-in? They have a stand-in groundhog.

02:17:47 - 02:17:58 | Speaker 2:

I think we should start a fight with Canada because I have absolutely zero knowledge of the origin of the holiday that is Groundhog Day, but that's clearly an American holiday. It's stupid. Why are they stealing our traditions?

02:17:59 - 02:18:00 | Speaker 6:

You know what?

02:18:01 - 02:18:04 | Speaker 2:

It's America, right? I don't think so.

02:18:05 - 02:18:07 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. That's a Punxsutawney. Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.

02:18:08 - 02:18:13 | Speaker 3:

Alright, for all of today's dirty, check out the dirty page on MojoInTheWorning.com. Good morning.

02:18:13 - 02:18:17 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's turd. And another phone scam coming up in minutes.

02:18:22 - 02:18:45 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning. So, Mike, you talked earlier this morning about how you went to go to Disney on ice. Disney World. Yeah, as your kids thought that they were going to. And it was really cute. You should go back and listen to the podcast of Mike saying that Cecily was not happy. She kind of caught on to it, didn't she?

02:18:45 - 02:18:53 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, she's smart. And I think some of her friends probably heard their parents heard or they heard or something like that and may have tipped her off a little bit. But, yeah, she figured it out.

02:18:54 - 02:18:59 | Speaker 6:

But you also witnessed something that was going on when you were watching the Disney on Ice performance.

02:19:00 - 02:19:44 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, so I called it halftime, but it's intermission. So during intermission, my wife is showing me, and I'm not paying attention at the time, But she's showing me a photo of Milo, and I guess he does this thing where he blows bubbles, and then he basically spits when he takes pictures now. And I'm not paying attention because I'm looking at the person in front of me. I'm looking like, because it's the stadium seating, so I'm looking over their shoulder. And I know you're not supposed to do this. I know you're not supposed to look at somebody's phone when they're just holding it up. But it's very hard when they're aggressively hitting their phone with their hand and then yelling to their friend next to them. And from what I overheard, nosily overheard, they were upset with whoever the friend was. They're another friend. And she was going through and literally unliking all their photos.

02:19:44 - 02:19:45 | Unknown:

Oh, wow.

02:19:46 - 02:19:48 | Speaker 7:

It's so petty, but it's so funny at the same time.

02:19:48 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 6:

I always laugh when I know that people get that angry at somebody that they don't just unfollow them or unfriend them, but they unlike them, too. Well, it wasn't like they unlike.

02:20:00 - 02:20:03 | Speaker 3:

Unliked the page it didn't look like anyways It looked like they just unliked the post

02:20:03 - 02:20:07 | Speaker 2:

That she previously liked

02:20:07 - 02:20:14 | Speaker 3:

Like anything that I liked Of yours before we're not friends I'm gonna just unlike all the stuff That I thought you liked back in the day Yeah

02:20:14 - 02:20:18 | Speaker 5:

Do any of our listeners do that or any of you guys

02:20:18 - 02:20:19 | Speaker 3:

Do that or have done that

02:20:19 - 02:20:22 | Speaker 5:

No I don't think so

02:20:22 - 02:20:39 | Speaker 2:

I can't even see it like what's the point Well I'm still blown away by how many people Look at did you view my photo Did you like my photo and get offended And I'm like, oh, my God, I don't like anything. I just scroll, scroll, scroll. But I wonder if people go back and say, why did you un-like? Because I know people will go back and say, you unfollowed me. Why did you unfollow me?

02:20:39 - 02:20:52 | Speaker 3:

You know what drives me crazy, Spike, is when people know that you didn't like their photo but then see that you liked other people's photos, not realizing that it could be a possibility that you just didn't – it didn't come up.

02:20:52 - 02:20:55 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, you didn't even see it in your feed yet or at all.

02:20:55 - 02:21:03 | Speaker 3:

I have people that will do that with me that will be like, I saw you like Todd Bartis' thing, but you didn't like mine. Oh, my gosh. Or they'll see I wish-

02:21:03 - 02:21:07 | Speaker 2:

I like you in real life. I don't have to like the photo on Fake Life on the Instagram.

02:21:07 - 02:21:54 | Speaker 3:

Or they'll see that I wished somebody a happy birthday, but didn't wish them a happy birthday, but it didn't come- I didn't even know it was your birthday. Well, what happens is how I know people's birthdays is I see other people wishing them happy birthday. You know what I mean? I'll see somebody wish, oh, I wish Shannon a happy birthday, and I'll go, oh, happy birthday. man oh man people get a little crazy i did feel by the way some like um anxiety with you shannon because there were so many photos that were posed between you uh wes your fiance mojo in the morning channel 955 92.5 kiss fm 104.5 snx of your freaking engagement that i felt like i needed to like them all and i got to a point for that you didn't have to you came over

02:21:54 - 02:21:55 | Speaker 5:

and gave me a hug and said, congratulations.

02:21:56 - 02:22:05 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm going to say this to you. I will say, I'm going to go on record to say this. If I did not like any of the photos, it's just I didn't like the photos.

02:22:08 - 02:22:09 | Speaker 5:

Thank you for making all of those photos.

02:22:09 - 02:22:21 | Speaker 3:

No, honestly, it's like, it was. There was anxiety. Did anybody else have anxiety from all those photos? There was a lot of photos. Are there more photos, by the way, that you didn't post? There are tons that I didn't post. How many photos do you guys take?

02:22:22 - 02:22:27 | Speaker 5:

She was on vacation. I was on vacation. celebrating a birthday and an engagement. Sorry, I wanted some memories.

02:22:27 - 02:22:31 | Speaker 3:

Megan, don't give me the she was on vacation thing. You thought the same thing that I thought.

02:22:31 - 02:22:45 | Speaker 4:

No, the only thing I thought was, damn, she's got a lot of friends when she posted her birthday thing. That was insane. Everything else was... Let me see that left hand. It was more frustration with her than anything else.

02:22:46 - 02:22:57 | Speaker 3:

I will say this, that if I were to unfriend Shannon by unliking my photos it would take me at eight hours i would have to i would have to make up

02:22:57 - 02:23:11 | Speaker 2:

with you in that honestly i'm surprised there hasn't been more photo dumps and more uh photo vomits on instagram because i know they had the professional photographer for the surprise engagement so i figured she's probably got like 150 photos on reserve in that phone waiting

02:23:11 - 02:23:15 | Speaker 3:

are you seriously you're going to come out with more aren't you this weekend now no no more photos

02:23:15 - 02:23:29 | Speaker 5:

from the engagement okay i haven't posted a lot of paris photos i posted one like paris photo dump before I revealed that I was engaged, but I had so many photos that I want to post that I had my ring on in that I didn't get to post yet.

02:23:29 - 02:23:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, here they come.

02:23:30 - 02:23:32 | Speaker 5:

You don't have to like them.

02:23:32 - 02:23:32 | Speaker 3:

Get ready.

02:23:33 - 02:23:37 | Speaker 5:

Sorry I'm happy and you're just a miserable hungover grump over there.

02:23:38 - 02:23:42 | Speaker 4:

I just went through and re-liked everything that I had missed for the past couple of months.

02:23:44 - 02:24:27 | Speaker 3:

All right, I got a break. We'll be right back with more, including a scam next. Check out our Facebook page. Facebook. Facebook.com slash Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning, I know that a parent is never supposed to have favorites, but this actually is probably my favorite. I love this phone scam you're doing for classic phone scam Friday here. I still remember when you did it. The laughter in the studio and the tears that everybody had after Ali was phone scammed. the taxi dispatcher at the airport, Spike scammed to complain about the smelly cab. You're home with the phone scams.

02:24:28 - 02:24:30 | Speaker 1:

Hi, baby. Can I ask you a question?

02:24:32 - 02:24:33 | Speaker 3:

This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:24:36 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 1:

Can I help you? Yeah, let me speak to someone of authority because I got a complaint to file. Where are you calling from? I'm calling from the hospital. I'm in the hospital because of one of your drivers. Okay. Who's this? What is his cab number? I don't know the cab number. I blacked out. Was it you driving? How come you won't tell me your name? I have now...

02:25:00 - 02:25:10 | Speaker 2:

I've never smelled... Listen to this. I almost came very close to dying of asphyxiation because your driver smelled so bad. I got put in the hospital. I've never smelled a more hard human stench in my life.

02:25:10 - 02:25:12 | Speaker 3:

Where did we pick you up? Where did he pick you up?

02:25:12 - 02:25:20 | Speaker 2:

I don't even know who I'm talking to. What part of complaint don't you understand, jackass? What's your name? Where did he pick you up at? At the airport.

02:25:21 - 02:25:22 | Speaker 3:

And where did he drop you?

02:25:23 - 02:25:39 | Speaker 2:

He dropped... I got off the side of the road. I didn't even get all the way to work. I get out of the cab. I'm paying them, which I never should have done in the first place. I collapsed and I passed out from the smell. I hit my head on the fire plug on the side of the road. Where did you get my number? I got your number from the sign in the a***** airport.

02:25:41 - 02:25:42 | Speaker 3:

Then just go to the emergency room.

02:25:42 - 02:26:09 | Speaker 2:

What are you, Superman? You won't tell me your identity? Go to the emergency room and take care of yourself. I'm in the hospital already. You don't listen to a word I say. I'm in the hospital. I woke up this morning in the hospital. I got 29 stitches in my head. I got a fractured skull, a myocardio fractiliation or something like that. I got an impacted number four, number five vertebrae, detached retina, bruising, simple halitosis, gingivitis, and all this other stuff.

02:26:09 - 02:26:11 | Speaker 3:

You might as well die over there.

02:26:11 - 02:26:33 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm glad you're getting a good kick at us.

02:26:34 - 02:26:37 | Speaker 3:

That's what happens when you drink too much.

02:26:37 - 02:26:45 | Speaker 2:

You know, you're a rotten turd. You're really making me feel bad about myself. You got to tell you guys, they can peel the paint off the walls because they smell so bad.

02:26:46 - 02:26:52 | Speaker 3:

Do you smoke weed or something? How can you just black out and fall down and hit your head?

02:26:52 - 02:27:04 | Speaker 2:

Your driver had the horrid human stench of dead skunks in the road. It ain't funny, ch**ks. I hit my head on the fire plug. 29 stitches.

02:27:06 - 02:27:08 | Speaker 3:

Sorry, okay? Tell them to pick your stitches. No, you're not sorry.

02:27:09 - 02:27:16 | Speaker 2:

If you're sorry, you'd be apologizing and you'd be asking for the spelling of my last name to write me a f**king check for the medical expenses.

02:27:16 - 02:27:18 | Speaker 3:

I'm not writing nothing, though.

02:27:18 - 02:27:22 | Speaker 2:

You are, and I'm coming down to pick it up as soon as I get out of the hospital.

02:27:22 - 02:27:32 | Speaker 3:

You better come here, sir. I have to take an alcohol test to make sure you are not drunk. Who? Breath lighter test to make sure you are not drunk.

02:27:32 - 02:27:54 | Speaker 2:

A breathalyzer test. You do a breathalyzer test on that driver of yours, it's going to break the f***ing machine. Let me tell you something. I met animals at the zoo that smelled better than that a**hole. It ain't funny. You sit in the car with them with the windows rolled up. My eyes were watering.

02:27:55 - 02:27:56 | Speaker 3:

What is your phone number?

02:27:56 - 02:28:01 | Speaker 2:

My phone number is 686-1-4.

02:28:01 - 02:28:03 | Speaker 3:

Okay. And your name?

02:28:04 - 02:28:24 | Speaker 2:

My name's Seymour Skinner. S as in smelly. K-I-N as in nasal abuse. E as in O, God, it stinks. And R as in wretched. What were you doing at the airport? What the hell business is that of yours? I should have been buying one of those little pine tree air fresheners for the driver.

02:28:25 - 02:28:27 | Speaker 3:

So what do you want me to do for you today?

02:28:28 - 02:28:32 | Speaker 2:

I want to check for my medical expenses, and I want a friendly smile and an apology.

02:28:33 - 02:28:38 | Speaker 3:

Okay. I have to investigate this, and I'll get back to you.

02:28:38 - 02:28:41 | Speaker 2:

That investigation will take 20 seconds. Go smell the cabs.

02:28:42 - 02:28:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, all I have to do is, you know, find which driver.

02:28:46 - 02:28:57 | Speaker 2:

I want you to apologize to me right now. Huh? I want your apology. I don't even know if you're lying to me. Who the hell would make up something like this?

02:28:58 - 02:29:02 | Speaker 3:

We live in a dangerous world out there.

02:29:02 - 02:29:29 | Speaker 2:

Dangerous for passengers without a can of Lysol in their luggage. Yeah. You didn't even tell me your name. I don't even know who I'm talking to. You want to know my name? This could be a quick one, guys, and you could get that hat trick that Kennan was so wanting you to get. Right, Kennan?

02:37:22 - 02:37:23 | Speaker 4:

That's right. Let's do it, Spike.

02:37:25 - 02:37:25 | Speaker 1:

Next.

02:37:25 - 02:37:33 | Speaker 4:

Let's go, Tannen. Yes. Thanks, Amos. Anybody else? Oh, come on, Mike. Money, Mike. Let's go, Megan. Great. Good to see you.

02:37:34 - 02:37:42 | Speaker 1:

Next, next song in the Mojo of the Morning, throwback, throwdown, is...

02:37:42 - 02:37:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, um... What's the name of the song?

02:37:50 - 02:38:17 | Speaker 3:

Loving can hurt. Oh, oh, my God. I know. Megan? Megan. Ed Sheeran, Castle on a Hill. Budge. It's hard sometimes. But it's the only thing that I know. When it gets hard, you know it can get hard sometimes.

02:38:18 - 02:38:19 | Speaker 1:

Spike. Spike for the win.

02:38:20 - 02:38:21 | Speaker 2:

Ed Sheeran, Photograph?

02:38:21 - 02:38:30 | Speaker 1:

Correct. Gosh! Three in a row! That's a quick game. There you go. Winner, winner. Chicken dinner.

02:38:31 - 02:38:36 | Speaker 2:

I wasn't even 100% on that touch. Yes. Yes.

02:38:38 - 02:38:39 | Speaker 1:

Kennan.

02:38:39 - 02:38:41 | Speaker 2:

So you can keep bringing it home.

02:38:41 - 02:38:42 | Speaker 1:

I love it. Congratulations.

02:38:44 - 02:38:46 | Speaker 2:

I have to admit, I didn't know what the prize was.

02:38:46 - 02:38:51 | Speaker 1:

Well, you got tickets. You got concert tickets. Poor Grace. Grace, Megan, let you down.

02:38:51 - 02:38:56 | Speaker 4:

I know. Why is it just me that let her? Three people lost the game.

02:38:56 - 02:38:58 | Speaker 2:

Megan, why do you hate our listeners?

02:38:59 - 02:39:10 | Speaker 4:

Three people. And I'm not the only one with zero points, okay? Call Shannon out. That's right. Take me down with you. She's sick. She's got an infection. She's got an infection. It hurts when she pees, okay?

02:39:12 - 02:39:15 | Speaker 1:

Congratulations to you, Kenan. Have a great time, buddy.

02:39:15 - 02:39:17 | Speaker 2:

Thanks, Mojo. Appreciate it, man.
