This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:01:06 - 00:01:51 | Speaker 3:

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, people in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be the thing you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four year.

00:01:51 - 00:01:59 | Speaker 2:

00:03:02 - 00:03:03 | Speaker 5:

You're a doo-doo hack.

00:03:07 - 00:03:45 | Unknown:

It's showtime! We'll be right back.

00:03:45 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

good morning and welcome to the mojo in the morning show hope you had a great weekend good to have you guys here with us today we got a lot to get into so we're going to get into it right now first off let me just tell you this we got prizes that are great concert tickets, your chance to see pretty much every artist that is coming through town. And it's so wild to see how many artists are doing big tours. Another big one, The Weeknd. We announced that on Friday late in the show as we were world debuting the new Weeknd music that he will be at Ford Field along with Super Bowl performing artist Kendrick Lamar and SZA. And then we, of course, know that Post and Jelly Roll will be performing there, too. So a lot of stuff to get to today. We will. I'm going to stay on track because if I don't stay on track, I'm going to veer off the side of the road. And the only person that's going to make me veer off the side of the road.

00:05:00 - 00:05:01 | Speaker 2:

is Beyoncé.

00:05:02 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 1:

There you go. Put some respect on her name. Yes.

00:05:06 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 2:

Now, what is she? The Beyoncé is the, officially has attained every single award that they offer at the Grammy Awards.

00:05:16 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 4:

She should.

00:05:17 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 2:

She won the big award, which was Album of the Year, which I did not know that she did not have Album of the Year yet.

00:05:24 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 4:

Which is wild. Especially with Lemonade, that is wild.

00:05:28 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 2:

But what would you do to think that Beyonce would get it off of that Cowboy Carter crap?

00:05:36 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 4:

I wouldn't say it's crap. I don't think you've listened to it.

00:05:38 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 2:

Huh?

00:05:39 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 4:

You haven't listened to it, have you?

00:05:40 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 3:

I think more people were up in arms about her winning country album of the year, not so much album of the year.

00:05:48 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 4:

Which is funny because nobody had a problem when Post Malone switched over to country or when Taylor Swift switched over to pop.

00:05:55 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 3:

So, but maybe it doesn't have to do with somebody coming into the genre as much as maybe the album wasn't as good as the other country albums. But then you get in. I love when artists switch genres. Same. I love that. And I love what Beyonce said last night when she was like, you know, we shouldn't be constrained to a genre. Genres shouldn't be there to put people in your place. If you have creative, you know, expression and you want to try something different, you should be able to. And I agree with that. But I just think that there were other artists in the country genre who were as deserving, if not more deserving.

00:06:31 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 4:

I think some people break it down, though, and vote based on, like, music theory and, like, the quality of, like, the ingenuity people take to it. And some people are like, but I like this better because it's more of a poppy country album, and I like singing to it.

00:06:44 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 2:

But you're not a country fan, though. That's the thing. The country fans are, like, so upset today.

00:06:49 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 3:

But I don't think country fans listen to the album. Kacey Musgrave's face.

00:06:54 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 2:

It said it all. It said it all.

00:06:57 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's up?

00:06:58 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 1:

This is Beyonce, and you're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

00:07:01 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 3:

By the way, great Grammy Awards. I thought it was probably the best award show I have watched in years. Yeah. It was so entertaining. I thought it was such a great show.

00:07:10 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 2:

The performances were great, and what they did, the tributes that they did for, you know, California for Los Angeles.

00:07:15 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 4:

A little part of it, you also have to put a stamp from Linda Martel, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton. Like, this was an album full of legends as well.

00:07:24 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 2:

Did you say my turn? What did you say? What did you say? You're over there making, you sound like her husband Jay-Z on songs when he goes, uh, eh, eh, eh.

00:07:31 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I think it's sweet justice. I think a lot of people have felt that Beyonce should have won album of the year at some point in her 25-year career and over 30-plus Grammys. It's crazy how you can be the most nominated for songs, but for some reason people don't like it when you put all the songs together. And I think it is beautiful that this particular album is the album that won Album of the Year in front of all the other ones. A lot of people bringing up this country album couldn't name you three songs on any of the other country album. So some people are just mad. I think it's big funny that they mad. But I also think it's beautiful because and what's very interesting is everybody hates Kanye, right? And a lot of people hate Kanye for his reaction to a Taylor Swift award. It's kind of interesting how some people are having this vitriol reaction to Beyonce winning an award. Y'all are a little bit more like Kanye than y'all want to admit.

00:08:20 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh, by the way, speaking of Kanye, Kanye got kicked out of the Grammys, so we'll get into that this morning, too.

00:08:28 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 3:

That is not true, by the way.

00:08:29 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 2:

No? No. Oh, well, let's talk about that.

00:08:32 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 3:

I will bust that rumor for you in the dirty.

00:08:35 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 2:

That outfit, by the way, or non-outfit, by the way.

00:08:37 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 3:

The outfit was absolutely ridiculous. And we're talking about Bianca, not Kanye. What she wore, I actually don't think she should have been allowed to walk the carpet. I don't either. That was crazy. And, like, we've come to a point where, and I am all about, I mean, show skin. Look at Olivia Rodrigo. There were so many people that were showing some great skin last night. That was public indecency. That was just. It was.

00:09:01 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 4:

If a man had walked out on the red carpet, we would say he should be arrested. That's public indecency. They would be on a sex offender list. if she was on the streets wearing that you would be a registered sex offender so why is it okay on

00:09:15 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 3:

the red carpet yeah if you did hear the rumor that they got kicked out that is not true they

00:09:20 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 2:

tell it in the day okay yeah tell it that was a good tease how you did that i was gonna i like that no we'll get we'll get into it all happened but they did not get kicked all right we're gonna we're gonna get into it all coming up here in just a matter of moments don't go anywhere we promise you that we'll we'll have some fiery discussion coming up here in a second i'm sorry kylie i'll let you speak for a second then i'm going to move on to the next topic or lydia is going to be mad at me she said to stay on time today what's going on that's fine um i think that

00:09:50 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 4:

i first of all i think that beyonce is a really good artist i think she's amazing everything everything allows that she's put out.

00:09:57 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 1:

However, I do think...

00:10:00 - 00:10:11 | Speaker 3:

that the reason why she won so many awards for Cowboy Carter is because of her marketing. I haven't seen as much marketing as I have for this album. Interesting. Compared to any other artist.

00:10:12 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 2:

She out-marketed everybody else. Sometimes I do think that that happens at different award shows, you know, VMAs and, you know, radio or what is it, AMAs and stuff like that. I don't know if the Grammys necessarily gets marketing. I feel like the Grammys do exactly what Megan does. They try to be more artistic in what they're doing, and I think that's their thing.

00:10:34 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 3:

There are a lot of people that win Grammys that I really understand. I think we talk about pop artists, and most of the time we're like, oh, that makes sense, and every once in a while we'll talk about a rap album, and we're like, what happened there? And I think sometimes people get into the artsy aspects of it rather than the popularity of it, just like singability or car plays or whatever it is, and I think that played a big role in this. If you look at the musicality and, like, if you really break down the nerdiness, right, and the music theory of Beyoncé's cowboy car, it's a beautiful album. It's very interesting what they did.

00:11:09 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing.

00:11:10 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 1:

That's the smartest thing I've ever heard anyone say about anything.

00:11:15 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 2:

I do love this text message. Beyoncé only got the award because the Jay-Z Diddy scandal. I love that. I love it. So we'll get into it. We'll get into it a little bit.

00:11:26 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 3:

By the way, how old is Blue Ivy? Oh, my God. I know. She's a lady. Holy cow.

00:11:31 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 2:

She is a full-on woman now, man.

00:11:33 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 3:

She's also not. I think she's like 12 or 13.

00:11:34 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, she looks like her. She just looks older.

00:11:37 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 3:

I know.

00:11:38 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 2:

All right. It's Mojo in the morning. Had a great weekend. Started off on Friday. I went to the Pistons game, which I feel like I almost killed myself to go to it because the weather was just horrendous. I mean, did anybody predict that we were going to get like a blizzard in the streets were horrible i was sliding all over the place and then afterwards went out to eat i gotta say hi to anthony laverde what's up anthony uh he's doing great anthony used to be the ceo of imagine theaters and now he's got some big stuff in the works that is going to be announced soon but i have to tell you um i'm not a person that eats dinner at nine o'clock at night or 9 30 at night we ate at 9 30 it was crazy on friday like i felt like to myself i was like are we eating breakfast for Saturday morning, it was just so nuts. But we ate at a restaurant that is unbelievable, you guys. It's called Wilder's. It's in Birmingham. It is ridiculous.

00:12:30 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 1:

I'm actually going there on Wednesday night with Wes.

00:12:32 - 00:12:43 | Speaker 2:

Well, I'm going to tell you this. You're going to enjoy every bit of it because the place is, that's the seen and be seen and eat and be eaten restaurant. But-

00:12:43 - 00:12:44 | Speaker 3:

What kind of food?

00:12:44 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 2:

It is like a steak place, kind of like a New York style, like steak, you know, steak place, steak joint. Um, but, um, but really good. Um, and, uh, it was like people watching. I couldn't believe it. Who are people that go out to eat at 10 o'clock at night? And the people that were out there, there were, it was like of all ages. I couldn't like, that was the part that was so wild for me. Like the, it was 20 and 30 somethings. It seemed like at that time of night were earlier when we first got there at like nine, it felt like it was all the you know the 50 plus year olds like that were leaving to go home and

00:13:19 - 00:13:32 | Speaker 3:

be fast asleep where i should have been you know why i love it yeah because i think i feel a little too old to go to the bars and clubs at late i feel a little weird but you can sit out and talk with your friends and drink and have food and like still socialize pretty late until the night without

00:13:32 - 00:14:30 | Speaker 2:

coming off as creepy yeah well love it it's we sat next to uh the tables you know are right there So you're quaint and stuff. And we sat next to these two extremely attractive Lithuanian women. I know them because the one lady is a listener of the Mojo in the Morning Show and works for my good friends, the Jonah family. And she was so we kind of talked a little bit and the weather was really bad. I was saying and they walked there. And when they when they were leaving, they were they were talking about how they were walking home or walking out of there and they were almost slipped like three or four times. And it brought up a question. And I did not drive them anywhere. So I just want everybody to know this. I did not drive them anywhere. Would it had been bad? Would it be bad to give strangers a ride, especially if the strangers were a two attractive Lithuanian women? Yes.

00:14:31 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 1:

Wouldn't it be bad?

00:14:32 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you can't.

00:14:32 - 00:14:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. That would have looked so bad.

00:14:34 - 00:15:17 | Speaker 2:

I think that's why you give them the ride. Because they are? Cav, if you saw two, you're out in a snowstorm and you see somebody walking and they're slipping and sliding on the side of the road. If it's a dude, you probably aren't going to think much of it. You're going to say, you know, tough luck guy. Yeah. If it's a woman, you're going to go, oh, I feel horrible for her. Or, you know, or a child or something like that. You're going to. for sure. I mean, if it's snowing so bad, I probably couldn't see their face and I'm like, eh, they'll be alright. Really? Yeah, should've wore boots. Would it be weird, would it have been weird if we said, oh, we'll give you a ride? Yes. It would've been? Yeah. Okay. Alright, good. So you get off that.

00:15:18 - 00:15:25 | Speaker 4:

It's a bad look. Yeah. It's how rumors get started. Yeah. I think your wife would not have been thrilled. I see the dilemma, though.

00:15:25 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 2:

Quick question for you, then, on this. with why are people in snowstorms? Because I saw this this weekend. And honestly, even if it's not snowstorms, why are people walking their dog in a snowstorm or when it's snow outside like that? Or I saw a guy on a motorcycle this weekend.

00:15:43 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 3:

That's wild.

00:15:44 - 00:15:46 | Speaker 2:

I swear to you, it was crazy.

00:15:46 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 3:

I know a guy who only had a motorcycle though. And so he drove it year round. That's what I was going to say. Maybe that's his only mode of transportation.

00:15:53 - 00:16:06 | Speaker 4:

Which sucks. I saw a guy riding a bike and I thought the same thing. this wasn't friday night but it was one of the days last week that it was snowing and i thought oh that that's gotta be all he all he has to get from point a to point b and then snow runners

00:16:06 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 2:

what's up with snow what's up with the people that can't run on a treadmill runners are nuts

00:16:10 - 00:16:24 | Speaker 3:

runners are psychopaths and i say that lovingly so lovingly but i hate when i'm downtown and people who clearly don't live downtown and are maybe just getting like coffee or breakfast or whatever they'll judge me for walking my dog and i'm like i live in an apartment i have to walk

00:16:24 - 00:16:32 | Speaker 2:

somewhere or my dog's gonna be on the floor but but honestly are you really walking or are you just taking it out to you're taking coralline out to a tree and just waiting for coralline to go

00:16:32 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 3:

poop you have to walk though i have to walk a couple of blocks away because so much of my neighborhood is under construction right now okay dude i took bo to the vet i know last week and

00:16:41 - 00:16:53 | Speaker 4:

the vet was like you probably need to walk him more he's on the upper end when it comes to weight and i was like dr schwartz it is 11 degrees outside this dog can run around in the backyard

00:16:53 - 00:18:22 | Speaker 2:

Listen, my dogs, they go outside to go duty. And if they don't go duty within five seconds, I understand that they're going inside of the house. Because at that point, I'd rather clean up after them than have to be standing outside like kind of, you know what I mean? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 or text 95500 with the weather being as crazy as it has been. Are you that, I was going to say idiot. Are you, I shouldn't say that because then they're never going to call. are you that strange person that is that is out doing things like that you know like where you're you're out in this in the snow yesterday i saw a neighbor walking the dog and i'm like going you're crazy you're gonna like that's where that's how you you get uh injuries and or or killed for god's sakes oh my lord i don't understand these people sometimes uh texter here says uh mojo that was sweet of you for uh wanting to to to know if those ladies would get home safely you see that i'm a kind-hearted person they didn't say that they didn't there was no there was no one text that said that um all right it's mojo in the mornings back in the day let's go back in the day what year did this stuff happen all right back in the day we're gonna give you a chance to win a prize uh let's see here three clues and first one is kelly clarkson won the first american idol

00:18:22 - 00:18:28 | Speaker 7:

00:18:39 - 00:18:42 | Speaker 2:

the song was a moment like this. 8 Mile was the big movie starring Eminem.

00:18:42 - 00:18:52 | Speaker 1:

What am I going to do? What am I going to do? What are you going to do? The movie's out there by herself right now. Why do you got to be like this? What did we ever do to you?

00:18:52 - 00:19:12 | Speaker 2:

How good is your memory? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:19:47 - 00:19:49 | Speaker 2:

Wow, this is actually a clip of when she got on the show.

00:19:50 - 00:19:56 | Speaker 7:

But Kelly Clarkson, when she made it through to Hollywood,

00:19:57 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

became the first American Idol.

00:20:00 - 00:20:05 | Speaker 1:

I'm on condition that you tell Ryan out there that he needs to redo his highlights. Okay, but you're through to Hollywood.

00:20:05 - 00:20:09 | Speaker 3:

And look what her career became after that, huh? 8 Mile was the big movie.

00:20:09 - 00:20:19 | Speaker 2:

What am I going to do? What am I going to do? What are you going to do? The movie's out there by herself right now. Why do you got to be like this? What did we ever do to you?

00:20:19 - 00:20:22 | Speaker 3:

He actually is a great actor, isn't he? I mean, I did a great job.

00:20:22 - 00:20:22 | Speaker 2:

He lived his life.

00:20:23 - 00:20:57 | Speaker 3:

And the big song. Vanessa Carlton, what a great song. Love it. Mario, what year was that? A lot of historic moments happened there. What year was that? 2002. It was. Here we go. Congratulations, buddy. Where are you, Mario? Where are you calling us from? Grand Rapids. Hey, I love it, buddy. GR in the house, and we're going to set you up with some tickets. 00:20:58 - 00:21:00 | Speaker 1:

Awesome, man. First time caller.

00:21:01 - 00:21:05 | Speaker 2:

What took you so long? Where have you been?

00:21:07 - 00:21:09 | Speaker 1:

I tried to get through plenty of times, man. It's kind of hard.

00:21:10 - 00:21:35 | Speaker 3:

Well, you know what? It's nice to have you on here. Congratulations. It's a good time. Good first time for you. We're going to set you up with tickets now to see the sold-out Tate McCray concert. Tate McRae, text Greedy right now, as in her song, G-R-E-E-D-Y, to 95500 for your shot at tickets. Text Greedy right now to 95500, standard text, and data rates do apply.

00:21:36 - 00:21:38 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the mornings, dirty on the 30.

00:21:38 - 00:21:49 | Speaker 3:

All right, I've been waiting for this. I want to know what happened with Kanye last night. Every thing on Twitter was saying that they got kicked out, but we'll start off with that. But, of course, a lot of Grammy updates. What's going on, Shannon?

00:21:49 - 00:23:21 | Speaker 4:

So, Kanye and his wife, Bianca Sensori, made quite the entrance to the Grammy Awards last night. So, Ye was wearing all black t-shirt, jeans. Fine. Underdress. But, okay, fine. It was Bianca that shocked everybody. My mouth hit my kitchen table when I saw what she was wearing. She took off her fur coat to reveal pretty much nothing. A completely sheer dress. I'm talking boobs, buns. We saw it all. And while, yes, there were a lot of rumors that her outfit got them booted and police were seen escorting them off of the red carpet into a car, that is not true. Kanye was an invited guest. He was nominated, excuse me, for best rap song this year. They walked the red carpet and then they got back into a car on their own volition and left. police grammy security never got them and never told them to leave um so there are a lot of conflicting reports but the official word that i've gotten is that they left on their own accord okay why would you leave is he doing what he had to do i yeah i don't think that he was planning on staying for the show is what i've heard that they were trying to recreate Did you hear this? The album cover. The album cover, the Vulture's album cover on the carpet. That's what they wanted to do. They did that. They got some photos. They got a lot of talk, and they left. I don't understand how she doesn't get arrested.

00:23:22 - 00:23:38 | Speaker 3:

Indecent exposure, yeah. I mean, it was a lot. Your analogy that you brought up at the start of the show, which was, you know, if that was a guy that did that, it probably happened. I would wonder, you know, if you had, what if Beyonce's, you know, Blue Ivy was there and you have an underage kid.

00:23:38 - 00:23:50 | Speaker 2:

I'm sure there were kids there But I mean, this is how she's looked For the past year and a half I didn't say it was okay I'm just saying the shock and outrage This is literally how she dresses every day

00:23:50 - 00:24:02 | Speaker 3:

I saw the version Put out first by the New York Post Of what it looked like it was blurred out And I thought, oh, maybe she just had a naked suit on No, she had a thing on But it was pure naked

00:24:02 - 00:24:18 | Speaker 4:

Alright, Beyonce winning the biggest honor Of the night last night album of the year for cowboy carter members of the la fire department presented beyonce with that album of the year trophy for her country debut i'd like to thank and acknowledge and praise

00:24:18 - 00:24:25 | Speaker 1:

all of the firefighters for keeping us safe i um i just feel very full and very honored

00:24:25 - 00:24:32 | Speaker 3:

it's been many many years she was genuinely surprised when she won the first album which

00:24:32 - 00:24:50 | Speaker 4:

Which was Country Album of the Year. Taylor Swift, by the way, looking gorgeous in a red sparkly Vivian Westwood mini dress. Presented her with that trophy. She got shut out, too. Yeah, yeah. Taylor was nominated for six different things. She had six nominations, and she went home empty-handed yesterday.

00:24:50 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 3:

Wow. We were talking on our text chain with each other, and Lydia goes, total fixed when Beyonce won. But I will say this to you, Lydia.

00:25:00 - 00:25:14 | Speaker 4:

It would have been a total fix if Taylor got any of those awards because her stuff that she put out this year was not her best stuff. I mean, obviously, she's touring and doing all that stuff. But Sabrina Carpenter winning was justifiable.

00:25:14 - 00:25:22 | Speaker 2:

I want to go back really quick. Diana Ross presenting the Song of the Year award to Kendrick, who also took home Record of the Year for Not Like Us.

00:25:23 - 00:25:31 | Speaker 1:

At the end of the day, nothing more powerful than rap music. I don't care what it is. We are the culture. It's going to always stay here and live forever.

00:25:31 - 00:25:44 | Speaker 2:

We are the winners in the bigger categories. Best New Artist went to Chapel Roan. Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album went to Sabrina Carpenter, who also performed a very, like, jazzy version. I love it.

00:25:45 - 00:25:54 | Speaker 3:

I'm surprised Sabrina didn't win Best New Artist, though. I thought she would over Chapel. I'm happy Chapel won it. I agree. I totally agree. I just didn't see it going that way.

00:25:55 - 00:26:06 | Speaker 5:

So, I know, real quick. Can I say something real quick on Kendrick? song of the year situation. Did you see what he wore? An all-jean outfit? What do they call an all-jean outfit?

00:26:06 - 00:26:07 | Speaker 2:

Canadian tuxedo.

00:26:08 - 00:26:22 | Speaker 5:

Who's from Canada? He's not. He's from LA. Who's from Canada? Drake. It's in the details. I love a good Canadian tuxedo. Wait a second. Why else would you wear an all-jean outfit?

00:26:22 - 00:26:39 | Speaker 4:

I thought Kendrick winning, too, being an LA guy is a good thing, too, with everything that was going on. Although, I gotta tell you, I'm shocked. Aren't you... We're doing so much for L.A. Don't you think that it's weird, though, that we don't do anything for the people in the Carolinas and Florida? Like, we've been raising so much

00:26:39 - 00:26:41 | Speaker 5:

in Hawaii. Because the rich don't live there, that's a lot.

00:26:41 - 00:26:49 | Speaker 4:

It is. It almost makes me... They raised all this money and they did all this stuff. I almost think they should raise money for all the tragedies that are going on and spread

00:26:49 - 00:27:04 | Speaker 3:

that money out. I think Flint should have clean water. But also, I think we also know that nobody cares until it affects them. And when you have that many people with platforms, you're going to hear about it more. I think the big one is like cancer research gets a lot of funding because it affects a lot of people. And Alzheimer's research does not.

00:27:04 - 00:27:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:27:05 - 00:27:18 | Speaker 2:

We'll do a lot more Grammys throughout the morning. I do want to mention this, though, while we're talking about it. You know who blew me away last night was Dochi. Her performance are incredible. Her speech.

00:27:19 - 00:27:20 | Speaker 4:

At our shows. Her speech.

00:27:21 - 00:27:32 | Speaker 2:

Which I will play for you. I haven't pulled it yet because I've been so crazy this morning with all this audio. But her speech was absolutely beautiful and so emotional and powerful. And I just, I became a Dolce fan last night.

00:27:32 - 00:27:36 | Speaker 3:

The fact that we do not play Denial is a River is a travesty.

00:27:36 - 00:27:39 | Speaker 2:

Best rap album, by the way. Alligator Bites Never Heal went to Dolce.

00:27:39 - 00:27:45 | Speaker 4:

I think people should go out in front of Tony Travato's house and protest right now. So great. Only three women.

00:27:45 - 00:27:49 | Speaker 5:

Only three women have ever won Best Raps. I know. I know.

00:27:49 - 00:29:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Jennifer Garner is a longtime boyfriend. His name's John Miller, totally like ordinary dude, not a celebrity or anything. Not thrilled about Jen and her ex-husband Ben Affleck spending more and more and more time together lately. He understands, he is aware, they have a very close relationship. But lately they've gotten super close and sources are telling me that he's starting to feel like a third wheel a lot of the time. Holidays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, third wheel. So according to this source, Jen and Ben text, Call communicate far more than they have over the past several years. And it used to be solely about the kids. But John is starting to feel like maybe it's more than just about their co-parenting relationship. He's not threatened by Ben Affleck per se. Ben Affleck per se. But he's starting. It's hard to not feel jealous over Jen and Ben's very strong bond. And lastly, an update to a story. I told you about on Friday, Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker has been accused of even more sexually inappropriate behavior. Three additional massage therapists have come out with stories, just really gross stories of him exposing his genitals, leaving behind remnants of, I can't even get into it, but use your imagination. And she says the one one of these these new massage therapists that's coming out said the incident happened in 2015. She didn't follow through with speaking out about it for fears of retaliation, which is a similar story. We've we've been hearing from a lot of these massage therapists. Again, Justin Tucker has denied all of the allegations.

00:29:30 - 00:29:37 | Speaker 4:

You see all the memes that the Cleveland Browns were making a trade for him because remember they did this Sean Watson. Oh, my God.

00:29:37 - 00:29:43 | Speaker 2:

Hey, for all of today's Dirty, get caught up by checking out the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

Yesterday morning, Beyonce announced a tour to support her country album of the same name. What's it called? Three seconds. Oh, the Cowboy Carter?

00:35:00 - 00:35:01 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Three to four.

00:35:01 - 00:35:17 | Speaker 2:

Which, by the way, how upset you think Beyonce was that she announces that? She announced it on Saturday night, and then that trade happened in the NBA, and it completely fell off the trending charts because everybody was talking about Luka Doncic and...

00:35:17 - 00:35:17 | Speaker 4:

Different audiences.

00:35:18 - 00:35:46 | Speaker 2:

No, honestly, you couldn't go anywhere at midnight on Saturday all the way through yesterday until the Grammy Awards and Beyonce winning without that being the big deal. It comes down to this last question. You've got to get this question right in order to stay our champion. You'll win with a tie. If you miss this question, we got ourselves a new champion, and we'll be talking to you, Danny, tomorrow morning here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. You ready?

00:35:47 - 00:35:47 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:35:47 - 00:36:00 | Speaker 2:

Isabella, question number five. Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively's lawsuit heads to court this morning. Who was Blake's husband, Ryan Reynolds, married to before her?

00:36:02 - 00:36:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God.

00:36:04 - 00:36:12 | Speaker 4:

Three, two. I'm blanking. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my God.

00:36:13 - 00:36:48 | Speaker 2:

Both of you guys missed that question. The answer, Scarlett Johansson. We got a new champion. 00:36:49 - 00:36:58 | Speaker 1:

You know, if you doing 5 at 6.55 every day is any indication for how the day is going to go, then I am not optimistic today. Ah, come on.

00:37:00 - 00:37:02 | Speaker 3:

Listen, can I be honest?

00:37:02 - 00:37:15 | Speaker 2:

Farrah, I'm not a good reader, but I have to tell you, when Shannon, we were talking about her missing question, I think that when I heard you reading or writing it, I thought that that was what you, I thought you wrote who was his ex.

00:37:15 - 00:37:19 | Speaker 4:

I write the questions in the studio before the show.

00:37:19 - 00:37:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, exactly. But thank you. No flame, Shannon. No, no, you're right. No, it's not her fault at all. It's my fault. What's going on? Aaron, hi. It's Mojo in the Morning. What's up?

00:37:29 - 00:37:32 | Speaker 5:

There's a discrepancy with this. It's 5 to 6.55.

00:37:32 - 00:37:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. What is it?

00:37:33 - 00:37:40 | Speaker 5:

Free to. She said fault, and then you guys kept giving her questions. So here's what was happening there.

00:37:40 - 00:37:50 | Speaker 4:

I knew somebody was going to call this. She was saying the right thing, but then I don't think she understood the true or false part.

00:37:50 - 00:38:07 | Speaker 2:

Erin, she was getting too cute. She had the right answer, but she didn't understand the true or false question part of it. But you're right. You are right. We should have probably not egged her along and just said, no, you've got to say true or false, and we should have gone with that and let her screw up. And then Isabella would have been there.

00:38:07 - 00:38:07 | Speaker 5:

Where's Bossy Bonnie?

00:38:08 - 00:38:09 | Speaker 2:

Bossy.

00:38:09 - 00:38:11 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Bonnie is beside herself right now.

00:38:12 - 00:38:22 | Speaker 2:

Listen, I will tell you, there's nothing better than a good controversy on a Monday because you know what it does? It helps us get ratings, and ratings are good. We love ratings. True or false, we love ratings.

00:38:23 - 00:38:24 | Speaker 5:

True or false, Bonnie.

00:38:25 - 00:38:29 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Thanks, Erin. Appreciate you. Take care of yourself. All right. You guys have a good day. It's Mojo with the Mojo.

00:38:29 - 00:38:44 | Speaker 3:

Five at 6.55. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning Live.

00:38:47 - 00:39:07 | Speaker 2:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning Show. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE. The text is 95500. Good to have you guys here with us today. I got a lot to get to, including we got a new trip to give away. Guess where we're going this week? We're spring breaking in Panama City, Florida.

00:39:07 - 00:39:10 | Speaker 4:

That sounds really lovely right now.

00:39:10 - 00:39:43 | Speaker 2:

Do you guys remember, maybe you guys were too young, but do you remember when MTV did Spring Break? Of course. In Panama City all the time? Of course. Panama City and Lake Tahoe, I think, were there, too. They were doing Florida and Arizona, Nevada. Growing up and watching MTV Spring Break, that was the place to go. I think I lost virginity just watching it because everybody lost their virginity. Didn't you ever notice? Like, honestly, now that I have, like, a child that's in college, I look at that and he's going on a spring break, which I think is actually kind of interesting. He's going on. Hold on. Let me see if I wonder if Chelsea is listening real quick.

00:39:43 - 00:39:44 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I want to know where he's.

00:39:44 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I want to ask. I want to ask the listeners this question. Who who lost their virginity on a spring break or who ended up, you know, getting pregnant, doing something that they shouldn't have done on a spring break? Because I am like and I know.

00:40:00 - 00:40:51 | Speaker 1:

think my son is probably not a uh a virgin anymore i'm assuming but i will and actually i know he's not because he's told me but i want i i want you to know that i actually worry about this i never went on spring break he's he's spring hello chelsea hello how are you good did i wake you up i'm sorry no it's okay with that no i well we were just having a conversation and we were talking spring break we're giving away trips to panama city this morning and uh that's a big spring break destination where is luke spring breaking um we don't know yet oh we don't know yet why is it is it to be decided why is it changed or what because he hasn't booked his

00:40:51 - 00:40:57 | Speaker 3:

ticket yet oh my god so let me tell you this where was he supposed to go the dominican

00:40:57 - 00:41:28 | Speaker 1:

but here's the best part of the whole deal luke was supposed to book his take because luke has some delta miles from all the times that we've traveled he's never used these miles lucky so he's gonna be and but he needed our help to walk him through it because as you heard me say last week on the show my kids didn't even know how to put air in tires I've been a horrible father with them and teaching them manly things to do. But he hasn't booked it yet, we don't think. Are you sure that he hasn't booked it yet?

00:41:31 - 00:41:37 | Speaker 2:

I don't think he has. When is college spring break? It's not the same as like public school, right? No.

00:41:37 - 00:41:38 | Speaker 1:

Earlier?

00:41:39 - 00:41:40 | Speaker 2:

March.

00:41:40 - 00:41:44 | Speaker 1:

March, yeah. But I think it might be close to the same time, right? Or no?

00:41:44 - 00:41:50 | Speaker 3:

I don't know everyone else's schedule I'm so far removed from that anymore I don't know

00:41:50 - 00:42:04 | Speaker 1:

but Chels and I this is the funny thing we both as parents and I don't know if any other parents have ever done this do you ever hope that your kids like fail at something just because you don't want them to do it like we both do

00:42:04 - 00:42:08 | Speaker 3:

I don't know why you're talking about this on the radio now people are going to remind him

00:42:08 - 00:42:25 | Speaker 1:

no they're not none of his friends listen they're all at college right now some people do dick where did that come from um no but i so we're both at a point where we're like we're not going to remind him we're going to wait until it gets closer and then it becomes

00:42:25 - 00:42:36 | Speaker 2:

not even i would be doing the same thing would you oh i just don't want your kids praying that they that it falls through and they don't go or do you take it as an opportunity to go with them Like, Chelsea, did you want to go to the DR?

00:42:37 - 00:42:45 | Speaker 3:

Well, no, but I would have. I would have gone just to be close, just in case, for sure.

00:42:46 - 00:42:50 | Speaker 1:

But do parents go with their college kids? Like, I know they do the high school trip.

00:42:50 - 00:42:57 | Speaker 3:

Well, you wouldn't stay at the same. I just, God forbid, if anything were to happen. At least you're there. Just be in the country, yeah.

00:42:58 - 00:43:04 | Speaker 1:

Wait, would you tell him that you were doing that? No, I didn't tell him that. Oh, my God.

00:43:04 - 00:43:11 | Speaker 3:

All the people that he's going with, they like me. Do some keg stands.

00:43:12 - 00:43:29 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Exactly. I got so many things there going through my head right now. Number one, I want you to call us up right now and tell us if you have ever heard of, like, if anybody's parents ever went on a spring break to be with their kids. Like, is there any parents that's ever done that? Okay. 844 Mojo Live.

00:43:29 - 00:43:49 | Speaker 2:

Because I got to say, having a senior in high school right now, this is obviously a big topic of discussion. Your stepson, Wes is a son? Yeah, my stepson is a senior. And I am blown away by every single parent wants to go on this one spring break trip. It's like a spring break for the parents as well.

00:43:50 - 00:44:19 | Speaker 3:

It's not, though, really. Because we've done this before, too. So you're not supposed to be partying with the kids. I mean, I don't know if it changes in college, but in high school, you are not partying with the kids. You're just there, God forbid. And we've been there when there have been kids that have been arrested. Yeah. And thank God the parents were there. So there's like a, it's real. There's a big fear. And so you just want to make sure they're having fun, but you're also, you know, putting the kibosh on it if it's a little too much.

00:44:19 - 00:44:28 | Speaker 1:

But Chelsea, you have to admit, though, when we've done that high school trip with our friends, some of our friends get a little too carried away on those things some of the parents got a little

00:44:28 - 00:44:39 | Speaker 3:

too carried away well some of the parents do but we i mean but then there were the parents that stayed in their area yeah of the you know hotel and then there were some that did not for sure

00:44:39 - 00:44:51 | Speaker 2:

but i love the idea too or i love the topic of have you ever gone on the same spring break trip as your child without them even knowing that's great i know that you were there um hold on real

00:44:51 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 1:

quick, Chelsea, this is not going to bode well with you. Mindy, your spring break was in Clearwater and what happened on your spring break? Say hi to my wife, Chelsea.

00:45:00 - 00:45:31 | Speaker 4:

first before you tell her hi good morning chelsea good morning hi so my best friend was in college i was still in high school and my mom in somewhat form decided it was okay with me to go to the college spring break so i did her instructions were don't get my daughter drunk my best friend did and stuff happened and it was lost in clearwater oh my god we lost the virginity

00:45:31 - 00:45:36 | Speaker 5:

on the spring break not in clearwater but the probability that it was with a scientologist is

00:45:36 - 00:45:44 | Speaker 4:

way too high well actually it was my best friend's boyfriend's friend so i think i'm from michigan

00:45:44 - 00:45:51 | Speaker 2:

not a local got it got it got it i'd rather our son loses virginity in spring break than lose him

00:45:51 - 00:45:58 | Speaker 5:

and spring break because that's yeah what's going on michelle how you doing oh i'm doing okay

00:45:58 - 00:46:15 | Speaker 6:

what's up i am uh i'm now i'm one of them moms i went on spring break well i went on every spring break when they were in high school and that continued on through college and my son went to med school and it continued on through that oh my god they do spring break in med school

00:46:15 - 00:46:27 | Speaker 2:

what yeah yes they do wait so so real quick did he know that you were going on these things like did he know that you were there or did you just do it like chelsea wants to do it where

00:46:27 - 00:47:21 | Speaker 6:

she wants to sneak there well in high school he definitely knew i was going and that was his only way he was going to get there is if i went and it worked out great we it wasn't any issue so when it was his first spring break in college he didn't ever bat an eye at it i didn't say well i shouldn't say that i did stay in the same hotel with them i didn't stay in the room next door with them and they kind of gave me their itinerary they did go to some islands and after that whole natalie holloway oh yes remember that girl i was like you know what you're not going it's either i'm going with you or you're not going and since i'm paying for it that choice is up to you and i left it just like that and you know what they wanted to go so mom has to go but you and chelsea sound like

00:47:21 - 00:47:26 | Speaker 2:

you'd be fun moms you guys you guys would be fun moms going to this thing yeah and you know what

00:47:26 - 00:47:45 | Speaker 6:

and it was fun i wasn't there hovering over them but you know when they want to do stupid stuff their kids at night you're there to kind of keep them in check and you know what i did watch out the door and make sure they weren't sneaking out i was that mom and i don't care i'm not there to be their best friend i'm there to protect them i'm there to be their mom do a head count you

00:47:45 - 00:47:49 | Speaker 2:

want a head count that's what you want you got mom doing that erica what's up it's mojo in the

00:47:49 - 00:47:57 | Speaker 7:

morning hi hi how are you guys good what's going on so my dad came to cancun with me for my senior

00:47:57 - 00:48:04 | Speaker 2:

trip oh that well the high school ones are always fun did dad party more than you guys did well

00:48:04 - 00:48:22 | Speaker 7:

it's funny because he was the only dad there was like all other moms because like you had to have a chaperone to go so my dad was in like heaven you know being the only dad and like all the moms and they kind of did their own thing and just kind of allowed us to like obviously in the resort do

00:48:22 - 00:48:33 | Speaker 2:

what you wanted we heard chelsea don't you remember hearing the story sometimes about the parents being a little bit worse than the the kids yeah i was just gonna say as a girl

00:48:33 - 00:48:38 | Speaker 5:

Who is lovingly raised by a single parent, Chelsea, do we trust the dads to go?

00:48:39 - 00:48:50 | Speaker 3:

No. No, you don't trust the dads. The only time you trust the dads is when it's like a bunch of boys that want to go to a bar. Yeah. Then I would gladly not go.

00:48:50 - 00:49:00 | Speaker 2:

But the rest is. Yeah, give. Here's the best texter. 313 says, Chelsea, if you do go, will you also be chaperoning ass juice?

00:49:00 - 00:49:07 | Speaker 3:

I will be Taperone and Ash Juice Do we know his real name yet?

00:49:07 - 00:49:08 | Speaker 2:

Nope, I don't want to know

00:49:08 - 00:49:11 | Speaker 3:

We do, but we won't be saying that He is, by the way

00:49:11 - 00:49:27 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, he is like the nicest kid too I love it He's a great kid Alright, well, have a good morning I'm sorry that I woke you up, I'll talk to you later Trip to go spring break in Panama City Coming up from Visit Florida At the bottom of the hour

00:49:27 - 00:49:33 | Speaker 1:

Mojo, charging fast toward the end of the show. Man boobs bouncing at all. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:49:34 - 00:50:08 | Speaker 2:

Charging fast. The show just started. All right, it is Mojo in the morning. Cav, this is pretty cool. I saw that yesterday was Kids Day at the Detroit Pistons game. It was. And, Cav, for those that don't know this, he's the in-arena announcer for the Pistons, the host for the Pistons. And, actually, by the way, I got a chance to go to the game on Friday to watch it. Saw you and Mason, and Mason was so great. Mason gave you a great compliment talking about how he said he. He said that Kev is the consummate professional, loves that you are doing radio, but also said that you are, like, the heir, the heir apparent.

00:50:08 - 00:50:09 | Unknown:

Wow.

00:50:09 - 00:50:12 | Speaker 2:

The Mason heir apparent and the Mojo heir apparent.

00:50:12 - 00:50:37 | Speaker 3:

That would be incredible, man. Mason deserves a jersey in the rafters when he decides to turn off that microphone. He's incredible. But yesterday, man, I could start tearing up, man. And you know this because, you know, your son Joe and Joe's in Tampa. doing great things on radio at the Joe Show, and you had him at the, I'm going to call it the G-Fest because I don't remember the name of it. Was it the Pyrifest?

00:50:37 - 00:50:40 | Speaker 2:

It was, what the hell, why am I brain farting now? Gasparilla.

00:50:40 - 00:51:45 | Speaker 3:

Gasparilla, yeah. And seeing how people reacted to him. And yesterday was Kids Day. And shout out to Nathan, who is our game presentation director, reached out to Nathan and said, you know, while we're thinking of how we're going to incorporate children in our game, what about my son? introducing the players oh my god and he was like yeah for sure i sent him some footage because joe's done it for the motor city cruise which is our g league affiliate uh and he said let's do it and joe had the opportunity to along with mason who was so gracious mason allowed joe to use his microphone to use his chair so mason stood up and like used a wire microphone and started introducing the players and then josiah took over and it was it was a really magical moment and to see josiah get done first off to see the process of josiah almost kind of not believing that he was capable to do it was he nervous he was nervous but when he got done he was like i believed in myself and i just didn't think about being stressful i didn't think about it what if i mess up it was a great

00:51:45 - 00:51:50 | Speaker 2:

moment man what a cool dad moment let me play it for everybody so they can hear it this is josiah I think.

00:52:20 - 00:53:38 | Speaker 3:

Stop it right now, that's one of those moments you remember for forever. This is the last in the cave. This is where you really start getting in his bag. Look at his face. 6, 1, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3 that's when jay-z dropped his first album so it took me that long took me 26 years to find my path my only job is to cut the time in half so to have the opportunity to like have my son be a part of something that i love to have the opportunity to to do these things and to give him the chance to be a part of it too as early as he is to live his dreams it's like god is so good bro buddy that

00:53:38 - 00:54:20 | Speaker 2:

is so neat and we you know shannon and myself have experienced this you're experiencing this right now we could have the greatest thing ever happen to us but when it happens to your kid for some reason it is next level it is complete next level like to be able to see that and you doing what you do you god has been good to you but to see that josiah in your footsteps so that's awesome is it is it pretty wild to to know i mean i i see him when he hangs out with you in studio and you're doing a shift and stuff and he's helping you with your shift he is such an entertainer You know, that's such an amazing moment. It was, it was really special, man. That's so cool. Hey, Kim, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

00:54:22 - 00:54:23 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, guys. Good morning.

00:54:24 - 00:54:26 | Speaker 2:

What's happening, Kim? Were you there at the game yesterday?

00:54:27 - 00:54:58 | Speaker 1:

I was not, but my husband watches every single Pistons game that ever airs. He watches on whatever network thingy that is. Yeah. And it started with the young lady who was singing the national anthem. And then there was this kid who started announcing the players. And I'm like, who are these lucky children who get to do this? And then when he said it was Josiah, I was like, it's Josiah! I'm screaming, Kev, you have the sweetest, most adorable child ever.

00:54:58 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man, thank you.

00:55:00 - 00:55:04 | Speaker 4:

much i'm gonna replay this for him when i get home so he can hear it thank you kim it's so

00:55:04 - 00:55:22 | Speaker 5:

cool to know josiah in the short time that i've gotten a chance to know him because when he talks to you you feel like you're talking to a a man you know like an adult human i have conversations with him i'm going oh my god i forget that he is how old 11 11. i mean you're talking to him

00:55:22 - 00:55:32 | Speaker 1:

honestly smarter than i am for goodness sake you sit with him and you're like he should be a pastor I know. Or a life coach or something. Like, he just has it in him.

00:55:32 - 00:55:33 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Noe, what's up?

00:55:34 - 00:56:16 | Speaker 3:

Hey, so I wanted to tell Kev about my proud dad moment. Let's hear it, man. Hey, Kev. So my son decided during this one winter that he wanted to go snowboarding. Me and him never go snowboarding, but I bought him a beginner snowboard, and I was like, let's go. And these instructors are showing us how to snowboard. I get on it to show them, like, hey, we can do this. I fall down on my butt a couple times, but I show him, I'm going to try to do this. He gets on the snowboard, and Kev, this kid, the first time ever on a snowboard was all the way down this hill. Wow. He did better than K.P. My mind is blown, but that's my dad. You know, my, like, proud dad moment. I was like, wow.

00:56:17 - 00:56:36 | Speaker 5:

Isn't that great? That's incredible, man. Yeah. There is something to it, man. Although I will tell you this. When your kid beats you at basketball for the very first time, it pisses you off. After a while, I'm going, I've let him beat me a couple of times when I was younger and stuff like that. I'm like, now he beats me. I'm like, you know what, this sucks. T, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. What's going on, T?

00:56:36 - 00:56:54 | Speaker 2:

Hey, long-time listener, first-time caller. Hey, T's on the phone. Yeah, I was at last night's game. I heard Josiah, and I thought, what an awesome guy. I mean, he did such a great job.

00:56:54 - 00:56:59 | Speaker 4:

Thank you, man. I appreciate that tea. Isn't he a great-looking kid, too?

00:56:59 - 00:56:59 | Speaker 2:

I had my grandson.

00:57:00 - 00:57:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:57:00 - 00:57:08 | Speaker 2:

Oh, he must get it from his mama. Just kidding.

00:57:08 - 00:57:09 | Speaker 1:

Just kidding, Kev.

00:57:09 - 00:57:10 | Speaker 4:

You're a crazy girl.

00:57:14 - 00:57:27 | Speaker 5:

That's cool. By the way, seeing the humility, though, that this is listening back to it, watching you when it was going on, like Kev is hype and all this stuff, and you could see you kind of pull back a little bit as you're listening to it because it was like

00:57:27 - 00:58:04 | Speaker 4:

you can tell your heart is taking over i was like people were around me like i'm i'm recording off my meta glasses and then i'm also recording off my phone i don't know why i needed two angles but that's what i did and people are like shaking me like oh my god and i'm just like a stone figure like just nothing it was it was only he and i in the room and i was only listening to him and focusing on him and just knowing like his thoughts leading up to it how nervous he was how he was kind of like questioning himself in some capacity. Well, what if I mess up here? And to know that it seemed as though he ignored all of that and fully immersed himself in that moment and then walked away from it, believing in himself was really dope.

00:58:04 - 00:58:22 | Speaker 5:

What did you say to him? Because I know that we've all had to do this or we've all had a parent that had to do this for us. What did you say to him to pull back some of that anxiety but also not to dispel or to make him not feel like he should be nervous? Because honestly, I think nervous energy sometimes brings out the best in you.

00:58:22 - 00:59:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Somebody said one time, like, if you're nervous, it means you're connected to the moment. There's a reason why you're experiencing that. I think we, I'm a firm believer in projecting positivity. And I think that the brain, you know, when you think of moving your arm, that thought takes place before the action takes place. So your brain connects to your cells, connects to your movement. And when you have a negative thought, that can transfer. and if you lead with the negativity then the outcome will probably be negative so i tried to get someone to understand like when you're thinking about this experience think about what would happen if it goes great not what happens if it doesn't don't think about messing up think about doing your best yes and it's already in you you just have to do the action so just go be great be yourself no that was cool i needed that pep talk for today what yeah the dirties are going

00:59:13 - 00:59:25 | Speaker 5:

to be filthy shannon what a what a cool moment what would you do now here's just an honest question what would you do if mason retires and they offer the job to josiah and not to you let's

00:59:25 - 00:59:30 | Speaker 4:

go let's go i call him to upgrade he's better than me at almost every facet see i'd be pissed

00:59:30 - 00:59:56 | Speaker 5:

if elvis duran retires and joe gets new york i'll stab him punks tony phil came out yesterday that little effort and said we're gonna so we're gonna have what six more months of winter or how what is it something like that six more weeks of

00:59:56 - 01:00:00 | Speaker 1:

six more weeks this thing well i don't know this is the one

01:00:00 - 01:00:34 | Speaker 3:

time i actually agree with pita let's end this son of a bitch um all right 844 mojo live we're gonna send you to florida we're gonna get you out of this crap enough already uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 i didn't realize we should go through today let's devote a break today to us talking about every city that has its own groundhog but it's not a groundhog it's a different environment it's a different vermin uh or or animal they have like so much uh all these

01:00:34 - 01:00:39 | Speaker 4:

cities have crazy ones i think we have a family vacation to punksatawney pennsylvania to see the

01:00:39 - 01:00:44 | Speaker 3:

round hole oh no what is that is it like just going to like plymouth michigan or what is it

01:00:44 - 01:00:50 | Speaker 4:

it is exactly like what you see in the movie really yeah wow yeah it's just like this little

01:00:50 - 01:01:27 | Speaker 3:

teeny tiny town interesting well all i know is that uh i thought it was um what's his name uh ted lasso uh doing it yesterday did you see the guy oh he's with the guy in the top hat the guy's in the scroll he looked he looked like uh what the hell is the actor jason he looked like ted lasso and i'm like oh my god they hired a celebrity to do it then i realized It wasn't him. Go look back at the video of it. It was crazy. All right, trip to Florida, be qualifier number one, win a $50 cash card, and qualify for a trip to Panama City Beach. Yes.

01:01:28 - 01:01:30 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:01:30 - 01:01:34 | Speaker 3:

All right, Shannon with the Dirty on the 30. What do you got going on here, Shannon?

01:01:34 - 01:01:54 | Speaker 4:

Well, first I have to start off by giving a shout-out to a very important Mojo in the Morning show listener. Her name is Nian Nui. She is an oncology nurse at Henry Ford Hospital. Wow. And she's listening right now. Stop it. And I just want to say hello, good morning, thank you for listening, and thank you for what you do. Good morning. Thank you for what you do.

01:01:54 - 01:01:56 | Speaker 3:

Somebody that smart listens to this radio show?

01:01:56 - 01:01:58 | Speaker 4:

Dude, why? Only for the dirties, of course.

01:02:00 - 01:02:00 | Unknown:

All right.

01:02:00 - 01:02:06 | Speaker 3:

Do not, by the way, tell your patients that. I'm going to tell you that. They'll be like, really? You're listening to that show?

01:02:06 - 01:02:08 | Speaker 4:

I had to practice saying her name so I wouldn't screw it up.

01:02:08 - 01:02:08 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

01:02:08 - 01:02:35 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so many standout performances at the Grammy Awards last night. Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims, Benson Boone was insane. Chapel Roan doing Pink Pony Club. Although I'm going to have nightmares about those clowns, but it's fine. It was great. She also took home the trophy in the toughest category of the night, Best New Artist.

01:02:36 - 01:02:37 | Speaker 3:

Especially this year, right?

01:02:37 - 01:02:57 | Speaker 1:

I told myself, if I ever won a Grammy and I got to stand up here in front of the most powerful people in music, I would demand that labels and the industry profiting millions of dollars off of artists would offer a livable wage in health care, especially to developing artists.

01:02:57 - 01:03:21 | Speaker 4:

Tears and a standing ovation when she left the stage. I said this last hour, I became a Dochi fan last night. We had her here last year, well, two years ago, I guess, technically now for our iHeartRadio Jingle Ball. And she was great, but her performance last night, then she took home Best Rap Album, and her speech, her speech was just incredible. Check this out.

01:03:21 - 01:04:27 | Speaker 2:

This category was introduced in 1989, and two women have won. Lauryn Hill, three women have won. Lauren Hill Cardi B and Dolce I put my heart and my soul into this mixtape I bared my life I went through so much I dedicated myself to sobriety and God told me that I would be rewarded and that he would show me just how good it can get I know that there is some black girl out there so many black women out there that are watching me right now, and I want to tell you, you can do it. Anything is possible. Anything is possible. Don't allow, don't allow anybody to project any stereotypes on you that tell you that you can't be here, that you're too dark, or that you're not smart enough, or that you're too dramatic, or you're too loud. You are exactly who you need to be to be right where you are. And I am a testimony.

01:04:27 - 01:04:53 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Her testimony, her words. I was sitting in bed, literally crying. I'm like, what, girl? And her words are like, just, she was so, she meant what she said. I mean, it was, it was a great speech, great performance. Beyonce taking home the biggest honor of the night. Album of the year for Cowboy Carter. Members of the L.A. Fire Department presented her with that trophy.

01:04:53 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 2:

I'd like to thank and acknowledge and praise all of the firefighters for keeping us safe.

01:05:00 - 01:05:05 | Speaker 3:

I just feel very full and very honored. It's been many, many years.

01:05:07 - 01:05:08 | Speaker 1:

Can we talk?

01:05:08 - 01:05:15 | Speaker 3:

Taylor Swift, by the way, who left last night without any trophies, presented Beyonce with the Country Album of the Year trophy earlier in the night.

01:05:15 - 01:05:27 | Speaker 1:

And can we talk about that? Because I didn't stay up until the end of the night. But can we talk about how awkward it was when Jay-Z had to come around the table to give her a little kiss? It's almost kind of like she wanted Jay-Z to sit at home on the couch.

01:05:27 - 01:05:27 | Speaker 2:

Really?

01:05:27 - 01:05:32 | Speaker 1:

Because of the scandals that are out there right now and all that Diddy stuff.

01:05:32 - 01:05:37 | Speaker 2:

Well, let's focus on where the focus should be, and that's that Beyoncé won Album of the Year.

01:05:38 - 01:05:52 | Speaker 3:

Also, by the way, announcing her Cowboy Carter tour on Instagram over the weekend. No cities or dates have been revealed yet, but it's happening. Did they just reveal them? A couple cities. A couple cities. Oh, damn it. I hate it when I write the dirty and then stuff.

01:05:52 - 01:05:57 | Speaker 2:

But it's kind of like some cities you would expect, some of the major ones, but more details coming soon. Okay, here.

01:05:58 - 01:06:04 | Speaker 3:

Did they announce this city? Atlanta, D.C., Vegas, Houston, New York, London, Chicago, L.A., Paris. Okay.

01:06:04 - 01:06:06 | Speaker 1:

Now Chicago is Chicago the closest?

01:06:06 - 01:06:07 | Speaker 3:

Not yet.

01:06:07 - 01:06:08 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Fingers crossed.

01:06:09 - 01:06:49 | Speaker 3:

The L.A. Lakers sent Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a first-round draft pick to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber, is that how you say his name, and then Markeith Morris in a three-team deal that also includes the Utah Jazz. I mean, this, see, you know, I'm not a huge basketball fan. This was like a shock to everybody. This was huge. There was no indication that either team was looking to move an all-star. Luka did not request a trade. In fact, it was the Mavs who approached the Lakers about this league-altering deal. The move reportedly just absolutely blindsided him. I saw yesterday on Instagram he wrote a beautiful letter to the people of the city of Dallas.

01:06:49 - 01:07:19 | Speaker 1:

And did not mention the Mavericks, but mentioned the city. So he's pissed at the Mavericks. It sounds like there was a fallout there somewhere. But did you see that LeBron didn't even know this was going on? They say that he was out for dinner after their Knicks win Saturday night at the Garden. And he got the news the same way we all did. I thought it was a BS story. Like, I thought, actually, the guy who broke the news, the guy from ESPN. Sham Sharania. He had to do a second tweet saying, no, my Twitter did not get taken over. Yeah.

01:07:19 - 01:07:29 | Speaker 2:

This is arguably the biggest trade in the history of the NBA. Or sports, maybe. Sports, yeah, if we don't look at soccer. But things like this don't happen.

01:07:29 - 01:07:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:07:29 - 01:08:00 | Speaker 2:

This is the first time two NBA first team award recipients have been traded. This is huge. And to the point that you mentioned earlier about Luka and his disdain for the Mavericks, Tony talked about it in the chat. Luka was up for a super max extension. He would have been eligible to sign a five-year, $345 million contract. He's no longer eligible for that. The most he can get is a five-year 245, so he's losing a ton of money just by this trade. But Luka's in L.A., and L.A. gets a new start.

01:08:00 - 01:08:04 | Speaker 1:

Who gets money like that? Are there people in the NBA that are already making money like that?

01:08:04 - 01:08:13 | Speaker 2:

I think the highest paid is, well, Jalen Brown got the biggest contract last year. He's at like 345, and then Jason Tatum got a huge 345 contract, too.

01:08:14 - 01:08:34 | Speaker 3:

Diddy is sent to the hospital over the weekend as he continues to await trial on all of those sex trafficking charges. His trial is set to begin the first week of May, by the way. His knee was bothering him. That was the story. So he was transported from MDC Brooklyn to undergo an MRI. Returned to please custody later the same night. But he's undergone several knee surgeries. So this was just.

01:08:35 - 01:08:40 | Speaker 1:

Can we talk about, can we talk more about Jay-Z and how awkward he looks?

01:08:40 - 01:09:48 | Speaker 3:

And lastly, Hailey Bieber's makeup brand, Rode, being called out. Specifically her new lip liners. The Rode Peptide Lip-Shaped Pencils, priced at $92 for a pack of four, by the way. Excuse me. They contain something called fenugreek extract. And if you have a peanut allergy, this is a big, big warning to you. Rode said in an Instagram story last week that the new lip liners contain this ingredient specifically because it visibly enhances the look of lip volume. Like it makes your lips plumper. Uh, and it is listed under the key ingredients on the packaging, but it's not highlighted as an allergen. So if you have a peanut allergy, this ingredient is part of the peanut family. And so if you have, if you're severely allergic to peanuts, just be, be aware if you buy road beauty lip products, that this is something that we need to be loud about because I don't want you going to the hospital. Been there, done that. For all of today's dirty catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or emoji in the morning.com.

You'll have a one in five chance of winning this trip Friday morning when we give away the last qualification. All right, it is Mojo on the Morning Show. KP had a relationship test over the weekend. She's on crutches this morning. Did you guys?

01:11:37 - 01:11:42 | Speaker 2:

She's on a crutch. A single crutch. A single crutch. I felt too extra with both.

01:11:42 - 01:11:44 | Speaker 1:

What did you do? What happened to you?

01:11:45 - 01:12:32 | Speaker 2:

Well, I went skiing. I went to Traverse City, Shush Mountain, and I met up with some friends. This is the first time I've ever been skiing, and my worst fear happened. I went down on the hill and I fell and my ski got caught and did not release. So when I fell, I twisted over my skis and destroyed my knee. Destroyed my knee. I could not get down the hill. So they had to call ski patrol to toboggan me down the hill to the first aid, which was so embarrassing. I look like a corpse. I'm not kidding you. Was it fun? A dead body coming down the hill. It was very fun until I almost ate in Hutchinson myself. No, no, I meant the tobacca ride. No, it was mortifying. I'm so glad they covered me in a blanket because it just looked so extra.

01:12:32 - 01:12:38 | Speaker 1:

How soon after you started this? Did you get this was the first time you're going down?

01:12:38 - 01:12:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. No, no. I've been down the hill a few times. You went down.

01:12:41 - 01:12:46 | Speaker 1:

So you at least caught wind of what it's like to ski. Yes. Are you a skier?

01:12:46 - 01:13:04 | Speaker 2:

I'm not a skier. Our family did not grow up skiing. She said this was her first time. This is not a good first. But going down the actual hill, I was terrified. I was pretty good at pizzaing, pretty good at breaking. French fries pizza. I don't know how to fall. That's how you stop.

01:13:04 - 01:13:06 | Speaker 1:

So how is this a relationship test? Explain that to me.

01:13:06 - 01:13:12 | Speaker 2:

Because this was supposed to be the trip where Zach meets my best friend Jenna and her boyfriend, and he did.

01:13:12 - 01:13:13 | Speaker 1:

Explain who Zach is.

01:13:13 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Zach is the guy that I've been seeing, who's almost my boyfriend. So at this point, I think it's official with what he did for me this weekend. He had to take care of me the entire weekend. After I fell and they tobogganed me down the hill, they took me to first aid. He met me there, picked me up, carried me to the car, took me to the emergency room, got the x-rays. We waited there for a couple hours. He was wheel tearing me all around and then carrying me back to the car. and then i could not walk so i couldn't go to the toilet on my own and this is the ultimate relationship test when you can't you can't bend and you can't squat and i can't like lean over to take my pants off so he had to take my pants off and sit me on the toilet wait how long have you guys been seeing each other it hasn't it hasn't even been two months man for five five weeks yeah and he's literally helping me take the crap at a certain point did you really think about just like going in your pants no because then he'd have to wipe it up oh no because everything i felt like wow this this is why going you have to go on trips with people that you trust because i was immobile because of this trip and this person was in charge of taking care of me and had he not been a good partner or someone that I thought was a good person to rely on, I would be crapping my pants and not having anybody to help. So, yeah, that was like the ultimate relationship test. And he took care of me on Friday when I was really sick. And then when we went up north on Saturday, I was just trying to get through the weekend. And then this happened. So it was like a double whammy at once. and he was he

01:15:00 - 01:15:25 | Speaker 5:

was the best and let's not forget two weekends ago he took care of you after you had that face treatment and blew up like a balloon i had a face treatment it was like a laser in my face was looked like i got stung by 800 bees and he took care of me then so he's only known me five weeks and he's taken care of me twice do you think he's getting the hint that this is what a relationship with you is going to be like i'd be nervous yeah i know i'm like am i showing him

01:15:25 - 01:16:39 | Speaker 2:

all the worst sides of me there's a couple of things that i caught on with this one here because you're talking and by the way anybody ever go away with somebody on a date thing and injure themselves and you uh or you got injured and they had to take care of you or you had to take care of them because there is something like you're stuck like yeah like there's like it's not like it's this is oh great vacation that we planned i now gotta what do you have to clean your ass and all or what no i could i have use of my hands okay you had okay but here there's a couple of there's a couple of things i'm thinking with this number one you test him in his sympathy that he has for you but at some point this guy's got to realize this is a lot holy cow but also then secondly you learn a lot about a person by how they deal with pain or illness and if a person is a whiner when they're dealing with it or kind of like requiring you to like take care of everything can't take care of themselves that could be bad too like you have to be really careful like it's not like your mom taking care of you right your mom will do anything for you you know what i mean the guy you met five weeks ago may go you know what i don't know if i've had enough of this

01:16:39 - 01:17:03 | Speaker 1:

you know and what i like about this because you got to know yourself and i know there are moments where i have suggested that their level of pain wasn't what i thought it should have been and that's a problem when you're in dire need but i don't think it's that serious so that's the type of care i give you to know that he didn't approach it in that way but was exactly what you needed

01:17:03 - 01:17:37 | Speaker 5:

and gives hope for this he was that and more and i'm the type of person who i i do not like the idea of even being on a crutch i'm mortified to be on a crutch right now and so to have someone that's now responsible for taking care of me is so embarrassing to me and the way he was towards me was almost like he was he was treating me like my injury was worse than it was in a way so i felt like he he was going above and beyond and was very helpful and empathetic and i almost felt like man i i wish i had broken my leg because this is how you're treating me you're you're treating me like

01:17:37 - 01:17:42 | Speaker 2:

i'm more injured than i actually am do you uh how did you get to work today did you drive or

01:17:42 - 01:18:01 | Speaker 5:

lydia picked me up okay so you are you not allowed to drive i injured my driving leg so i can't i cannot put full weight on this leg i can move it around but i can't put weight on it um so i can't break do you need surgery i don't know i went it got an x-ray but that can't see any ligament

01:18:01 - 01:18:09 | Speaker 2:

damage so i don't know what's gonna happen katie what happened to you katie yeah so i had been

01:18:09 - 01:18:55 | Speaker 4:

dating this guy i'd only known him six weeks i've been dating him five weeks and i was sick so he took me to urgent care and I just thought I had like a cold or something I had used the bathroom while I was there on my way out of the bathroom I felt very dizzy I ended up passing out the doctor like pulled my then boyfriend into the hallway and but like when you pass out like especially I guess if you're sick like I kind of like emptied out my bowels yes and like that's so embarrassing And so I refused the ambulance, but they said I had to go to the emergency room because I wanted to go home and clean myself up. So this man took me home, cleaned me up, and then took me to the ER. And, yeah, and now we've been married seven years. Oh, you've got to marry him.

01:18:55 - 01:19:04 | Speaker 2:

By the way, that poor guy, so you knew right away either he was going to stay or he was going to go at that moment, right?

01:19:04 - 01:19:16 | Speaker 4:

Oh, absolutely. I'm just really glad because I had to get into his truck afterwards, and I was just wearing sweatpants, and they were, like, obviously not. And so he's like, oh, no, I have a towel. It's fine. Like, I'm like, how many people have this happened to?

01:19:17 - 01:19:22 | Speaker 2:

You got into the truck with a towel because your bowel still had some stuff on you? Pooparts.

01:19:23 - 01:19:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, like, I couldn't, like, they were, like, get to the ER, and I was like, oh, yeah, we're going to be there. I'm like, no, take me to a shower. Oh, my God.

01:19:33 - 01:19:41 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Jesus. man oh man that's that see that that this might be a sign of things to come kp for you what's up

01:19:41 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 3:

jessica hi um so when i first met my husband about four years ago uh we were only together for like six or seven weeks and he invited me to go on a trip to tennessee for his birthday for the week in gattensburg so we're like let's we'll drive down there together and

01:19:59 - 01:20:29 | Unknown:

Thank you.

01:20:00 - 01:21:19 | Speaker 6:

And so we decided to go on a hike, and I was like, yeah, let's get some champagne. So, you know, obviously drinking and going on a hike are the best options together. And then also just decided to take a couple gummies, and I'm like, yeah, that's a good idea. To hike? Are you nuts? Wait, that's the only way to do it. Don't take gummies. And so, and then I was like, you know, I really have to pee. I'm going to go around this tree. Can you just make sure no one's going that way, and I'll just be really quick. I quickly turned around a tree oh no I didn't roll down the hill but I quickly pulled up my pants and I was trying to like whip around the tree to like look cool because I was trying to impress them still right and instead I fell over this massive tree branch and my shoulder and like everything went forward and I ended up tearing my um right like my shoulder labrum and also So my shoulder was out of pocket, out of socket. So, and I have this little, like, scarf thing in my backpack that, like, somehow he was able to, like, be smart in that moment to, like, make a mini sling. But on the entire way back, because we had to walk back to his truck, I'm just crying. I'm like, oh, my God, this is the worst thing ever. And then he's, like, trying to lift me into his truck. And then that, like, kind of popped my shoulder back into place. Oh, my God.

01:21:19 - 01:21:32 | Speaker 4:

Oh, jeez. By the way, maybe skiing is not a great thing or hiking or any of this stuff. Maybe you guys should go to a movie. Has anybody thought about doing this? Trivia at a bar. Right. I mean, seriously, nobody got injured unless they fall off the bar stool.

01:21:32 - 01:21:44 | Speaker 5:

Can I tell you, though, doing this and getting injured like this and being put in this situation and seeing how he was acting towards me solidified how I felt for him. Aw, that's beautiful.

01:21:44 - 01:21:46 | Speaker 4:

How do you repay him, though?

01:21:46 - 01:21:48 | Speaker 5:

I really like this man.

01:21:48 - 01:21:51 | Speaker 4:

How are you repaying him for taking this great care of you?

01:21:51 - 01:21:52 | Speaker 5:

I don't know.

01:21:52 - 01:22:00 | Speaker 4:

You got to figure out something. Do you think he feels the same way? Or do you think he right now is calling his friends going, oh, my God, this is a pain in the ass.

01:22:00 - 01:22:03 | Speaker 5:

I'm a pain over my head. No, I think he knew before I did.

01:22:04 - 01:22:08 | Speaker 4:

You got to throw out a neck muscle or something. Eliza, what's up?

01:22:09 - 01:23:11 | Speaker 2:

Hey, so a little crazier story than skiing. um less than two months into dating my boyfriend we decided to go hiking and hawking hills and my dumb butt decided to ignore every sign that said do not go off trails will be fine 250 dollars so i went off trails uh because you know why not and immediately fell on my butt and fell off two cliffs oh my god yeah landed on a tree branch you should be dead and sliced the entire your back of my leg open and he got to see what my hammy looked like and worse than that did you guys get fined for going off the oh that's the best part uh the sheriff who saw my leg dangling the wind while waiting for the helicopter to show up followed me to the hospital made me sign my ticket and then handed it to my boyfriend and said oh my god helicopter to the hospital insult to

01:23:11 - 01:23:19 | Speaker 4:

injury on that uh hold on amy amy ran into you ran into kp you got to meet this guy zach the

01:23:19 - 01:24:16 | Speaker 3:

01:24:16 - 01:24:20 | Speaker 1:

yeah but god forbid she needed surgery they're like when was the last time you ate you're like

01:24:20 - 01:24:26 | Speaker 4:

15 minutes ago the whole story you just she just told the story too tell us about this guy what do

01:24:26 - 01:24:53 | Speaker 3:

01:24:53 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 4:

is very friendly either this is going to do one of two things either this is going to keep him around or she's going to go home

01:25:00 - 01:25:04 | Speaker 1:

the day and all his stuff is going to be gone one of the two is going to happen that's the case i

01:25:04 - 01:25:32 | Speaker 2:

i think he's he seems very genuine he seems very real sweet guy and he got and your husband's also genuine too he got her a bratwurst that was great first aid lady was so funny she he was helping me um get up and down and the first aid lady was like a little old lady she goes is that your tiger oh my god and i'm like yeah and she's like she goes and asks him he goes she goes is that your

01:25:32 - 01:25:46 | Speaker 1:

baby do you when you when you go and on one of these trips there's nothing romantic happening right like there's no romance happening too many layers i can't say that really okay on pain pills

01:25:46 - 01:25:52 | Speaker 2:

i mean we yeah we we went out and got um we've got food we went out we still i mean we were on

01:25:52 - 01:25:54 | Speaker 1:

I mean, but you know what I'm talking about, romance. Like, there's no, there's.

01:25:54 - 01:25:56 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you're talking about sexy time?

01:25:56 - 01:25:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, I'm saying there was none of that, right? That's over with when you hurt your leg.

01:25:59 - 01:26:02 | Speaker 2:

She can even get on the toilet. Wait, let's let her answer. She can lay in a bed.

01:26:03 - 01:26:03 | Unknown:

No.

01:26:04 - 01:26:05 | Speaker 2:

Let's just say sometimes you don't need Vicodin.

01:26:06 - 01:26:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh.

01:26:07 - 01:26:09 | Speaker 2:

She can get on the toilet. Wow.

01:26:10 - 01:26:14 | Speaker 1:

I think that would be the last thing in the world. If my legs just dangling there, I'd be wanting to do it.

01:26:14 - 01:26:18 | Speaker 2:

Well, the only thing dangling. Once it's propped up and you got meds, it's fine. You're on vacation.

01:26:19 - 01:26:21 | Speaker 1:

And then what happens if you have to go to the bathroom? You gotta go.

01:26:22 - 01:26:23 | Speaker 2:

You have to have to work.

01:26:23 - 01:26:31 | Speaker 1:

WQI. He's got to do that. SNX, Muskegon, Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:26:31 - 01:26:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

01:26:33 - 01:26:36 | Speaker 1:

Live. Mojo.

01:26:40 - 01:26:49 | Speaker 2:

5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Ignition sequence start. Let me take y'all back to the beginning. This is it.

01:26:49 - 01:26:50 | Speaker 1:

All right, are you ready?

01:26:51 - 01:26:53 | Speaker 2:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

01:26:53 - 01:26:54 | Speaker 1:

You're a doo-doo head.

01:26:58 - 01:26:59 | Speaker 2:

Let's go.

01:26:59 - 01:28:25 | Speaker 1:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. Good to have you guys here with us. We have Second Date Update coming up in 20 minutes, so get ready for that. That's on the way. Why are you not getting a call back? He's not calling her back, and is it for good reason? I guess they even were getting ready to bake some cookies, and he stopped in the middle of it for a particular reason. So we'll hear what the full story is. 20 minutes from now, also on the way, topic-wise, Shannon with the big announcement about babies, Megan with got my ass kicked by an older woman, and it's a big weekend, and get ready, because this weekend we're meeting the parents. We'll talk about that all on the way in the next 45 minutes to an hour. Plus, what's the contest at 830? Oh, tickets at 830 to see Katy Perry. That show was just announced. So we'll have tickets to see Katy Perry. We got Katy Perry tickets. We did Kendrick and SZA. We'll do that again coming up next hour. Tate McCray tickets and the weekend we just announced, too. So a lot of big shows coming. All right, it is Mojo in the morning. Shannon with a big baby announcement. I think I do baby announcements here. And I don't think I've mentioned you with baby announcement. I've mentioned it before, like Megan and stuff like that. It hasn't been since Smith that we've even had a baby announcement. But what's going on, Shannon?

01:28:26 - 01:29:48 | Speaker 3:

So I have been experiencing something really, I'm trying to think of the right word to use, weird lately. A handful of people in my life are pregnant right now. and it has been screwing with my head so much um and even though Wes Wes has been fixed as people say Wes has been snipped I had a surgery that the purpose wasn't for me to not have any more kids but it would make it very difficult for me to have more babies so we are both like out of commission at this point I mean obviously there are ways we talk about doctor like it would still be possible if we really, really wanted to have a child together. But seeing everybody else being pregnant and my Lucy and Smith are about to get a sibling here in a couple of months. And so that piece of it like really made me go, okay, that's like wonderful for them and their family to have that additional piece to blending. Like, is that something that we should have on our side? Like, is that something that we want or specifically that I want? I think Wes would have 10 more babies if this man could. He loves kids. He loves babies. He loves kids. You cannot pry a baby out of his hands if he's around a baby.

01:29:48 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 1:

I've actually asked you guys. I mean, I've talked to you guys when we've all been together and stuff. And I've said that I wondered, because sometimes you see second marriages with blended kids. Yeah. And Wes's kids are a little bit older.

01:30:00 - 01:30:14 | Speaker 2:

Now he's taking on the role of parenting younger kids. And he's so amazing. If listeners ever get a chance to see Wes out with Lucy and Smith, oh, my God. I mean, he and Smith are, you know, they're like crazy with each other. They're so much fun.

01:30:14 - 01:30:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:30:14 - 01:30:18 | Speaker 2:

So what's going on? Are we excited? Do you guys want to have a kid too?

01:30:18 - 01:32:06 | Speaker 3:

And honestly, we have talked about it, but it was just one of those things where he will kill me for saying this. you know, Wes is a little bit older and I, and we, we both, I don't know, like it, it had been talked about. But I had been really in my head about it a lot lately. So this weekend, my little sister Jacqueline is out of town. And so our family and her really close friends are all sharing responsibility of caring for her two girls, my nieces, Stella and Navy. And we had them Friday and saturday and i don't mean this in a in a funny way but having them made me realize that i am good like i am good i am good with my family my family is very very very one more very complete as we are i just don't have the energy for that stage of life anymore i like and i think i needed that i was so excited and happy to help out my sister with the girls but at the same time like inside i think i like really needed that like okay this is it was and they are very good girls they are easy uh i just i was like i love being at the stage in my life where i can be like lucy go get your coat on go get your boots on get in the car yeah smith go fix yourself a snack guys go upstairs to bed like i gabby's dollhouse is not a thing for me on a daily basis take my line what line f them baby

01:32:06 - 01:32:13 | Speaker 2:

but yeah no that's that's actually that's interesting though it's a big moment for

01:32:13 - 01:32:39 | Speaker 3:

women by the way you do have to f them babies it is a big moment for women especially and i will say this too and I mean this is being extraordinarily vulnerable but I've said this before like when you are heading into that phase of life like peri menopause has just about kicked my ass and that is all that also screws with your brain of like all of these other women in my life are pregnant right now and I'm having hot flashes all night long like that it is really weird well

01:32:39 - 01:33:08 | Speaker 2:

it's also to kind of an interesting thing too and I don't know if you ever get this but you sometimes go god I wish that we would have had more kids earlier like it in it yes ellis and i faced this a lot with luke was our surprise baby and we're like we should have gone for another one right away just because then your family feels like it's a little bit more complete but you have like and then you you and wes you want to kind of like okay we want to have something together but yet but we do do you have the kids

01:33:08 - 01:33:14 | Speaker 3:

and also could you imagine telling kieran who's a senior guess what you're going off to college

01:33:14 - 01:33:53 | Speaker 2:

we're going to be in the hospital like he would die but can i can i tell you something and this is really interesting it is very cool when i do see wes with uh with smith and i see you with with with wes's kids they're it you guys have done a really good job because you don't ever like i never see you as mom with uh wes's kids but i see you as a really cool confident confidant for those kids thanks like especially like when i see you with wes's daughter because it's like something kind of cool like in both you guys don't ever step on the other parents i hope not you know feed it or you know their responsibilities but you guys are so good with these kids i really

01:33:53 - 01:34:19 | Speaker 3:

appreciate that i i had sam samantha is her name we had a moment a couple weeks ago she was going through something really tough and she came to me with it and i was like in tears and i i was holding her and i said to her i'm like i don't know what i'm doing like i am trying so hard to be a good stepmom to you i do not know what i'm doing but like all i can do in this moment is just like hold you and love you and i literally have no clue what i'm doing as a stepmom here's what

01:34:19 - 01:34:24 | Speaker 2:

we learned if anybody does no more gabby cell house megan if for some reason you get the baby

01:34:24 - 01:34:30 | Speaker 3:

itch and you don't want babies don't put that witchcraft on me no babysit shannon's sister's

01:34:30 - 01:34:36 | Speaker 2:

kids they're such sweet curls what's up molly how you doing my sister is a rock star i want to be

01:34:36 - 01:35:14 | Speaker 1:

I married my boyfriend 10 years ago and I had a daughter who's now 11 and he had a he currently has a 14 and an 18 year old. We were done. I have an IUD. We did not want to have any more babies and we just delivered six months ago. triplets oh my god that's unreal congrats surprise triplets with an iud well that was fun oh my god

01:35:14 - 01:35:27 | Speaker 2:

so what did your man say when they said triplets we literally both just busted out laughing i almost fell off the table actually oh man we didn't we didn't know what to do there was just laughter

01:35:27 - 01:35:39 | Speaker 5:

for months absolute months you know what though it's meant to be and it's going to make your family so complete uh katrina what's up it's mojo in the morning hi hi mojo how are you we're

01:35:39 - 01:36:47 | Speaker 4:

great what's going on good morning okay i just want to tell shannon so i'm like her right like i love shannon because i can kind of relate to her and everything so i have two kids great nine high schoolers i'm so happy i don't have to do anything they can get themselves ready take them to school whatever i just found out 15 years later that i'm two months pregnant oh my god oh my so how did you react when you first like realized it's happening shannon i was like i gotta do it again i have to do kindergarten again i have to do like miss rachel again like you know a stroller i was like oh no but you're so excited right at the same time yeah yeah yeah i'm very happy like everything kind of aligned we bought our new house my husband opened a new business like it just like if it was like i'm gonna say last summer like let's say before we bought our house i would have been crying because there was no room right we were living in a two-bedroom apartment now we have a brand new house like i think everything just kind of worked out and we've been trying for five years like i'm gonna say oh wow yeah like 2019 2020 and i was like what's never gonna happen right like i'm pushing 40 but no i'm very happy i'm like i have the energy

01:36:47 - 01:36:56 | Speaker 5:

before i'm good like this is amazing you're gonna be just just so you know and you probably've already done the math but you're gonna be probably close to six years old when you're sending your

01:36:56 - 01:37:10 | Speaker 4:

kids off to college by the way mojo my daughter has a picture with you she's in grade nine like i'm not gonna make myself feel old but you have a picture with her when she was six or seven she's obsessed with you guys and now she's 14 15 so that's how old i feel that's unreal that's how

01:37:10 - 01:37:30 | Speaker 5:

oh he feels yeah believe me no i love you guys we love you too um i posted that yesterday the bianca when bianca showed me the pictures of her with me when uh she was a baby yeah like 10 or 11 years old or whatever uh it's up on instagram you gotta see that now she works with

01:37:30 - 01:38:29 | Speaker 3:

us what's up Sarah hi hey hey so um I'm 41 and I have three boys and we my husband he was done after two but I convinced him for the third trying for my girl and ended up having the boy and I'm I'm like I said I'm 41 and I'm still contemplating like because we we still have all the moving parts and working parts and everything but i go back and forth of like i'm done my my son's 11 um you know my youngest is 11 so i'm like there's that gap and then i'm like i'm almost free my oldest one is 21 my uh my other son's 18 18 so it's like i'm almost out of the house so i'm kind of like at that where i just want like i want my girl but those kids are going to be if you get if you decide

01:38:29 - 01:38:32 | Speaker 5:

you're going to have a baby your 21 year old and 18 year old are going to have very interesting

01:38:32 - 01:39:04 | Speaker 3:

reactions to that although you'll have good babysitters i know my 21 year old was 10 when my youngest was born so now my youngest is around the same age as when i had the baby that's my youngest but yeah I just I'm always going back and forth where I'm like I would love to have my try for that girl but I'm kind of like you know what I'm almost free where I can start traveling without having to worry about spring breaks or schools and exactly yeah it's kind of like

01:39:04 - 01:39:15 | Speaker 5:

going back and forth so that's awesome well you got to let us know what you end up doing and if you want to make for sure uh see what Jacqueline's kids are up to today they're so cute be a little

01:39:17 - 01:39:24 | Speaker 1:

One and done on the dating, eh? Why no second date? Second date update happens at 820. Mom Mojo in the morning.

01:39:25 - 01:39:31 | Speaker 5:

Just the visual of this is great. Megan got her ass kicked by older ladies this weekend. I did.

01:39:31 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 1:

So I was really grateful. I love, love, love, love my dad's girlfriend more than anything in the world. She's the best woman on the planet. And she asked me this weekend if I would like to go work out with her and her friends. And now I'm going to be real honest. I got a little bit cocky. I thought my dad's girlfriend and her friends, if they do this class, no problem. I'm going to crush this. I forgot one little piece.

01:40:00 - 01:40:56 | Speaker 3:

of this puzzle, which are all of her friends are smoking hot and super ripped. And I showed up to this class to work out at 9am on a Saturday. All right, which by the way, so rude, so incredibly rude to schedule a class that early in the morning. But I got there, got my little butt up. I even had a cute little outfit on, got there. And I could not keep up with these women. They all were kicking my ass the entire time and i thought you know i'll at least be able to participate these women were singing along they were dancing in between sets and i was standing in the back thinking please don't vomit on the floor please don't vomit on the floor is do i need to run to the locker room i'm going to die i genuinely got my ass kicked by women who are my dad teach and they're all they you know you're smoking hot now i get it now i get it yeah y'all

01:40:56 - 01:41:31 | Speaker 6:

be working out like crazy you know what i can relate to that with is i'll go golfing sometimes and they'll match you up like if you take a friend golfing they'll match up with two other people two guys they match this up with no joke we're like 70 80 plus and i'm like okay great i tee off i had a nice shot my friend tees off nice shot the 80 year old guy gets up there and he beat that crap out of the ball so much further past my I'm like you effing 80 year old son but it is crazy when old when they're older people that Megan are like really fit or you know who I hate I hate kids

01:41:31 - 01:41:52 | Speaker 5:

too I hate when a kid is good I was gonna say we talked about KP skiing every time I go skiing my kids are insane skiers and I can I well I've I haven't made it down a hill in the past couple years okay at least not on my not on my booty um i remember when we went to mojo's house and you've

01:41:52 - 01:42:14 | Speaker 7:

talked about samantha and she's a she's a runner like she does cross country she does all these things i still feel like i can be the kid though or i should be the kid i'm like let's race i say let's race i put my head up she was like 100 yards in front of me i said you got this you got this i'm gonna go on that drink this ain't for me yeah you'd get killed um that's so funny megan i want

01:42:14 - 01:42:35 | Speaker 6:

By the way, 50-plus-year-olds aren't just working out doing aerobicize or any of that stuff. Jazzercise. Jazzercise. Water aerobic. What was the woman's place called that women used to work out at? Oh, what was that called? It was like they would put music on. It was like Richard Simmons-type workouts or something.

01:42:35 - 01:42:36 | Speaker 5:

It was really popular.

01:42:36 - 01:42:37 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, what was it?

01:42:37 - 01:42:40 | Speaker 5:

Please, somebody call. Hang on. I'm going to call you, too.

01:42:40 - 01:43:03 | Speaker 6:

844-MOJO-LIVE or text 95500. but there was that uh it was some kind of a workout place that was just for and you'd drive by it all the time was it called curves curves for women yeah curves that was the greatest it was the purple logo yeah you need to work ladies you got to work out at curves not be going no that's cool that that they're doing it you think you're going to do this more often what do you

01:43:03 - 01:43:09 | Speaker 2:

think uh yeah that's the plan i'm going to go uh down at least once maybe twice and it's and it's

01:43:09 - 01:43:12 | Speaker 6:

Like a boxing type of a class, like a kickboxing type class.

01:43:12 - 01:43:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:43:13 - 01:43:30 | Speaker 6:

One of my very good friends is Mary Jo Sanders. Mary Jo's dad is the legend Hall of Famer. Charlie Sanders played for the Lions. Amazing, amazing guy. She used to fight Muhammad Ali's daughter. Layla? And she actually beat Layla Ali.

01:43:30 - 01:43:32 | Speaker 5:

Have you ever seen Mary Jo?

01:43:32 - 01:43:32 | Speaker 6:

Mary Jo.

01:43:32 - 01:43:35 | Speaker 5:

You ever seen Layla Ali? No, I know, but I'm saying.

01:43:35 - 01:43:52 | Speaker 6:

Mary Jo really liked that? Mary Jo, I hired her to, like, work out with me because Chelsea was like, you got to get him in shape. And Mary Jo was the perfect person to work out with because we would talk the entire time. All I would do is go, hey, how was your weekend? Next thing I know, our would be over with. And I'd be like, oh, this is great.

01:43:52 - 01:43:53 | Speaker 7:

How big was Mary Jo?

01:43:53 - 01:44:13 | Speaker 6:

Mary Jo was, she was, well, she was fit. Like, she's like, yeah, she's like hot and stuff. Yeah. Shout out Clarissa's shoes. But she could beat my ass, man, in a fight. I'd actually, I'm not kidding you. If we went out together, all of us went out together and a bar fight broke out, I'd be like, Mary Jo, go handle that. You know, seriously. Go handle that, Mary Jo. You can take care of that.

01:44:13 - 01:44:17 | Speaker 5:

I feel like the guy's eyes would get wide if she came to her.

01:44:17 - 01:44:30 | Speaker 6:

Guy would see her walking up going, God, she's hot. And then he'd get his ass whooped. That's Megan after she does enough kickboxing. Muscle Mick. We're going to be like Megan Mick from the Mojo in the Morning Show, chief of security.

01:44:30 - 01:44:31 | Speaker 7:

Muggin Megan Mick.

01:44:31 - 01:44:33 | Speaker 1:

That's your name. Sides of the arms.

01:44:33 - 01:44:35 | Speaker 6:

What's up, Callie? What's going on?

01:44:35 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 1:

hey i was at the ymca the other day and there was a man who couldn't have been less than like 80 years old who was just cranking out pull-ups and he probably did 20 before he like lowered himself and relaxed and he didn't even look like he was breaking his sweat i am 28 years old and i have never successfully done a pull-up in my life and i just had to sit there yeah i just had I DON'T THINK I'M GOING TO

01:45:00 - 01:45:02 | Speaker 2:

hey, that's my goal. I got 60 years to get there. Isn't that unreal?

01:45:03 - 01:45:45 | Speaker 1:

It is unreal. At some point, like, I hate when I go to Planet Fitness and an older person is on the treadmill for longer than I am. Yeah. Like, that drives me crazy. And I'm like, you show off, son of a, you know what I mean? Like, I'm completely out of breath after 30, 40 minutes, and this guy is on that thing for an hour. And I'm like, you know what? You're only doing it because you have enough. He must be on, like, two with a no incline or something. Thank you for the call. We appreciate it. All right, Mojo in the Morning. It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning. Why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? Maddie went on a date. She met a guy that she really, really liked. Maddie, how you doing?

01:45:47 - 01:45:51 | Speaker 3:

I'm doing good. How are you?

01:45:51 - 01:46:11 | Speaker 1:

Good. Is this tough for you to do? Because I always wonder whenever we have people that want to be on second date update or wore the roses, is just how difficult it is to tell somebody that you are not getting something, like you're not getting a call back from the person that you went on a date with.

01:46:14 - 01:46:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's frustrating.

01:46:17 - 01:46:33 | Speaker 1:

And the girl that you went on a date with, you said that you really, really liked, you guys had a lot of chemistry, you guys even fooled around with each other or am I mistaken when I had heard this you guys

01:46:33 - 01:46:52 | Speaker 3:

might have messed around a little bit um yeah uh we did she yeah she's being inside of my house now and it just feels super vulnerable okay we're gonna find

01:46:52 - 01:47:14 | Speaker 1:

out what's going on taylor is on the phone with us right now taylor say hello to maddie hi hi so taylor maddie was contacting the mojo in the morning show here and uh our second date update try to find out why she's not getting a call back from you

01:47:14 - 01:47:39 | Speaker 2:

was everything okay um uh yeah um yeah i mean the date was fine i just like um yeah like i i went to her instagram to like just just check her out and and and she just like knows too many of the people that i know so i i was like i don't know you guys didn't figure that

01:47:39 - 01:47:48 | Speaker 3:

out on your date when you were talking that's why you stopped talking to me that's just doesn't

01:47:48 - 01:48:06 | Speaker 2:

seem like that adds up i i mean it yeah it like came up i just i don't know there there was too many mutuals and i just kind of realized like she she reminds me of my sister

01:48:06 - 01:48:15 | Speaker 1:

so wait your sister what like what reminds you maddie reminds you of your sister looks wise

01:48:15 - 01:48:42 | Speaker 2:

or the way that she acts or what or both it's it's mostly like the way that she she acts i guess like there's there's kind of the same mannerisms and i noticed it while we were on the date and she was talking and she just has like a similar voice and like hobbies and stuff I thought okay that's not that's not weird or anything but it's something that I just noticed

01:48:42 - 01:48:57 | Speaker 1:

is your is your sister uh somebody that you like or don't like is or is it just or or is it weird that you're going out with somebody and they they remind you your sister because I mean I guess I

01:48:57 - 01:49:03 | Speaker 3:

get that piece of it but wait so if she looks different things or are they connected i thought

01:49:03 - 01:49:54 | Speaker 2:

it was a compliment how old is your sister you sound six no i just like i i um so when i was when i was looking through the instagram i just i noticed that it's not like the hobbies and everything like that's fine it's just that i noticed that she graduated the same year as my sister okay and like went on the same senior trip with similar like the friends that she was with looked the same and i just i couldn't i couldn't get it out of my mind i was like i i noticed it and i wouldn't and when we were we had hooked up after the date and i just couldn't get all of that out of my mind i was like i don't want to be thinking about my sister when i'm having sex with someone and i couldn't i just couldn't stop thinking about the similarities and it was

01:49:54 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 1:

But you didn't notice that before you guys hooked up? Like, I don't understand this. So you guys end up having, you guys had sex with you?

01:50:00 - 01:50:12 | Speaker 6:

each other or just it was yeah we did we did and i just i noticed the similarities during the date and was like why can't i get this out of my mind you guys still you still went back to her

01:50:12 - 01:50:19 | Speaker 1:

place and then you guys still hooked up even though you felt like this is somebody that

01:50:19 - 01:50:26 | Speaker 5:

reminds me of my sister yeah i wish i knew that before i took my clothes off well no it was like

01:50:26 - 01:50:44 | Speaker 6:

It was like I saw some similarities during the date and it wasn't until after that I looked at the Instagram and I was like, oh, that's why I was thinking of it. And so when I when I put more pieces of the puzzle together, I was like, I don't think I could. I don't think I can do this again.

01:50:44 - 01:51:26 | Speaker 1:

Is it weird that a person reminds you of somebody that, you know, and a person, you know, is your family member? Because, I mean, there's sometimes there's things people depend. But, I mean, does she look like her? I mean, if she looks exactly like her or reminds you of them is a totally different story. And if it's just they remind me of them, I mean, God, my wife Chelsea reminds me of my mom and how great of a person my mom was, and that's why I ended up marrying her. Like, I don't sit there and think about that. Like, now if she looked like my mom, I'd be weirded out by it. I don't think that that's anything wrong, right? I mean, she even said down to the way that she sounds. She sounds like her sister. So your sister sounds, Maddie, let me hear you a little bit. Maddie?

01:51:28 - 01:51:29 | Speaker 5:

Yes, hi.

01:51:30 - 01:51:33 | Speaker 1:

Your sister sounds like that? Your sister has the same type of sound?

01:51:35 - 01:51:46 | Speaker 6:

Kind of. Respectfully, there's a little bit of the vocal fry, and my little sister does that too, and I was like, oh, my God, this is eerie.

01:51:48 - 01:51:54 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Maddie, how are you feeling about this? And she didn't bring this up at all with you on your date, did she?

01:51:55 - 01:52:07 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I mean, I'm really bummed. Like, I obviously can't help the way I sound or, you know, like that's how I act or what I, you know, like I.

01:52:07 - 01:52:09 | Speaker 1:

I kind of like the way she sounds, to be honest with you.

01:52:09 - 01:52:10 | Speaker 5:

You like the vocal fry?

01:52:10 - 01:52:19 | Speaker 1:

I like she's got a low-sounding voice or a soft-speaking voice. What's up, Jessica? What do you want to say about this, Jess?

01:52:20 - 01:52:25 | Speaker 3:

I was saying Maddie, run. She's making excuses already.

01:52:25 - 01:52:26 | Speaker 1:

That's what I think.

01:52:26 - 01:52:41 | Speaker 3:

And she wasn't woman. Yeah, she wasn't woman enough to tell you in the first place. The first excuse was you guys have too many mutual friends. That's weird. Who cares? Grow up. The second one was she reminded her too much of her sister.

01:52:43 - 01:52:43 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:52:43 - 01:52:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, run. She's making too many excuses.

01:52:46 - 01:52:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, she's looking for outs on this one here. She's doing too much investigating. What's up, Sean?

01:52:51 - 01:52:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I just think she don't like her.

01:52:54 - 01:52:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:52:55 - 01:53:03 | Speaker 2:

Or she just wanted to have sex with her, and she did it, and I thought, you know, it's done, and she just don't want to be bothered no more.

01:53:03 - 01:53:09 | Speaker 1:

It's nice to know, though, that women do this. Because, you know, you hear the guys all the time that just wanted to have sex, and then they move on.

01:53:09 - 01:53:10 | Speaker 2:

We all are the same.

01:53:11 - 01:53:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:53:12 - 01:53:19 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so either she just wanted to have sex and move on, or the sex was trash, and that's why she moved on. but she just don't want to be bothered.

01:53:19 - 01:53:33 | Speaker 1:

Taylor, not to make you have to admit to any of those, but could it be any of those last couple of callers with you're just making excuses and then maybe you just wanted sex and that was all you were looking for?

01:53:35 - 01:53:51 | Speaker 6:

Listen, I understand what people are saying. I 100% can say I was not using anyone for sex. That's not who I am. But I definitely feel overwhelmed and kind of weird.

01:53:51 - 01:53:53 | Speaker 1:

Put on the spot here by us doing this?

01:53:53 - 01:54:01 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, so, you know, I don't know. But no, just not using anyone for sex, I promise.

01:54:02 - 01:54:08 | Speaker 1:

Okay, then let me see what other listeners, I can put you on hold so you don't have to deal with this. But Matt, what's up? Matt, what did you want to say?

01:54:08 - 01:54:10 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mojo, first time, long time. Hey, buddy.

01:54:12 - 01:54:17 | Speaker 1:

Matt, hold on a second. Matt, you sound like my brother. We're not having sex with each other.

01:54:17 - 01:54:17 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's crazy.

01:54:18 - 01:54:18 | Speaker 1:

I apologize.

01:54:18 - 01:54:19 | Speaker 4:

No, that's funny.

01:54:19 - 01:54:20 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

01:54:20 - 01:54:27 | Speaker 4:

Well, first, before I say it, my comment, too. I was born and raised in Detroit. Now I live in South Carolina. I can't stop listening to you guys. Oh, my God. Thank you.

01:54:27 - 01:54:31 | Speaker 1:

I'm part of South Carolina because I've always wanted to go to South Carolina. Is it beautiful?

01:54:31 - 01:54:32 | Speaker 4:

I live in Myrtle Beach.

01:54:32 - 01:54:34 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you son of a bitch.

01:54:35 - 01:54:35 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:54:36 - 01:54:46 | Speaker 4:

But I wanted to say, I think that that girl, I think that girl just wanted to hit it and quit it, man. That's all she was interested in. Well, that's what everybody's texting. And then she laughs.

01:54:47 - 01:54:51 | Speaker 1:

It's nice to know, though, isn't it, that girls do that, too, you know?

01:54:51 - 01:54:52 | Speaker 2:

I guess why not just be up front?

01:54:53 - 01:54:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, just say.

01:54:54 - 01:54:58 | Speaker 2:

Say be up front? Just be up front. Because then you might lose the opportunity, though.

01:54:58 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 1:

We're coming down to Myrtle Beach, and we're staying with.

01:55:00 - 01:55:03 | Speaker 5:

Matt. What's going on? Listener Shannon on the phone with us. What's up, Shannon?

01:55:04 - 01:55:12 | Speaker 3:

What is up? Shannon's in the house. That's right. That's my name, Shannon. All hail to all the Shannons in the world. Yeah.

01:55:13 - 01:55:15 | Speaker 5:

What are your thoughts?

01:55:17 - 01:55:49 | Speaker 3:

My thought is she wanted to have sex. She did. She was horny or something because I went on a date years ago with a guy that looked like my brother. I didn't know he looked like my brother was a blind date and he even had my brother's name and there was no, I could not, I couldn't even finish the date. I kept looking at him like, oh my God, this is my brother. This is my brother. I had to end it. There was no way. I'm definitely not having sex with someone that looks like my brother. I'm sorry. Yeah, looks is different than behavior though.

01:55:49 - 01:56:19 | Speaker 5:

Did you guys kiss? No. Yeah, that would have been, could you imagine he would kiss like my brother that would be a weird thing to say i wouldn't know what to do uh thank you my brother kisses me on the top of the head okay all right thanks for the call that would be the weird by the way you really want to mess with somebody shannon try this with wes say for some reason you kiss like my dad or my you know what just watch the look on his face watch the look on

01:56:19 - 01:56:23 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, he loves my dad so much. He'd be like, oh, oh, that's a compliment.

01:56:23 - 01:56:30 | Speaker 4:

This is the home of the Dirty on the 30. Throwback Throwdown, Second Date Update, and War of the Roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:56:31 - 01:57:10 | Speaker 5:

And shout out to all the Shannons that are listening to us this morning. We're giving you tickets to see Katy Perry, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 95th caller. 844-665-6548, 844-MOJO-LIVE. 95th caller is going to win a pair of tickets. That Katy Perry show was just announced by us last week. And tickets went on sale on Friday. She will be at Little Caesars Arena on August the 3rd. It's the mystery. Everybody said that Kanye got kicked out. What happened? Shannon with the Dirty on the 30 and a Grammy update for us.

01:57:10 - 01:58:34 | Speaker 2:

So even if you did not watch the Grammys or you were not invested, you didn't care, please google right now kanye west and bianca sensori and i want you to see you're 18 or older what she specifically wore on the ride carpe at the grammy awards in la last night he was wearing an all black t-shirt and jeans which was pretty standard kanye um it was she that she took off that fur coat and i was like oh we like her dress came off in her coat no no no no it was a sheer slip I guess so you saw her boobs you saw her bun you saw everything she was wearing tights was she? I mean like oh I was like she didn't wear she wasn't wearing tights but yeah it looked like she pulled like one side of a pair of pantyhose over her body I mean you just saw everything so there was this rumor that her outfit got them booted I know there are a lot of people saying that but from what I am hearing from a very strong source of mine a very good source of mine That is just not true. Kanye was an invited guest. He was nominated for best rap song this year. He walked the car. They walked the carpet. And then they got into a car on their own accord and left. So the police, Grammy security never got involved in escorts. If they got escorted, they got escorted to their vehicle so people wouldn't bother them. But it was not forceful.

01:58:34 - 01:58:48 | Speaker 5:

You know what's amazing? That relationship just seems so BS to me. It seems to me like those guys go, all right, great job. All right, we'll see you later. I'll talk to you. Like, they don't, it seems so acted out or something.

01:58:48 - 01:58:59 | Speaker 2:

What scares me is her family has come out to say this is not her, and they are a little worried about her in this relationship. Like, this behavior, the dress, all of it.

01:58:59 - 01:58:59 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:59:01 - 01:59:23 | Speaker 2:

Freaks me out a little bit. Beyonce, speaking of the Grammys, won the biggest honor of the night. Album of the year for Cowboy Carter. I thought it was very cool. I mean, the show was all about raising money for the victims of the L.A. wildfire. So I thought it was really cool that members of the L.A. Fire Department presented Beyonce with that album of the year trophy.

01:59:24 - 01:59:29 | Speaker 5:

I put the wrong one in. What's this one in here? Oh, you could play L.A. Fire Chief. Oh, L.A. Fire Chief.

01:59:29 - 01:59:58 | Speaker 1:

On behalf of the members of the County of Los Angeles Fire Department, I would like to thank the Recording Academy for having us here this evening. This is a tremendous honor and privilege to be in the company of such talented music industry professionals. As Fire Chief, I would like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank first responders who came from near and far.

02:00:00 - 02:00:11 | Speaker 5:

battle this wildfire siege you know you know what was pretty uh pretty cool too was uh did you see at the beginning of the show they let local businesses have a commercial yes they did that

02:00:11 - 02:00:15 | Speaker 2:

i ordered one of the sweatshirts i ordered one of the alter dina sweatshirts they did a there was

02:00:15 - 02:00:22 | Speaker 5:

that florist i saw that had doja cat yes um and the woman lost her house did one charlie pooth did

02:00:22 - 02:00:25 | Speaker 2:

one it was really cool how they did that yeah it was very oh here's beyonce by the way accepting

02:00:25 - 02:00:38 | Speaker 1:

that award i'd like to thank and acknowledge and praise all of the firefighters for keeping us safe i um i just feel very full and very honored it's been many many years

02:00:38 - 02:00:56 | Speaker 2:

earlier in the night she took home the grammy for best country album and she was visibly truly i think and very authentically shocked to be getting that award that meme is going around all over the place this weekend diana ross presenting the song of the year award to kendrick lamar who also took

02:00:56 - 02:01:07 | Speaker 3:

home record of the year for not like us they're not like us at the end of the day nothing more powerful than rap music i don't care what it is we are the culture it's gonna always stay here and

02:01:07 - 02:01:21 | Speaker 5:

live forever real quick did you see that they did uh speaking of diana ross and all those classics they did a tribute to quincy jones and they did uh we are the world they did yeah they did they They did a re-art, they had Stevie and Lionel and all those guys go watch that.

02:01:22 - 02:01:22 | Speaker 1:

That was great.

02:01:22 - 02:01:31 | Speaker 2:

Best New Artist went to Chapel Roan, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, going to Sabrina Carpenter, who performed a really cool version of Espresso.

02:01:34 - 02:01:43 | Speaker 5:

What if she would have swept and won also Best New Artist and Chapel Roan went the way of Taylor Swift and won nothing? Would there be outrage this morning?

02:01:43 - 02:01:55 | Speaker 2:

Taylor did leave empty-handed after being nominated in six categories. Dochi, Take It Home, Best Rap Album for Alligator Bites Never Heal. Best Rock Performance went to The Beatles. The Beatles? Best Rock Performance, yeah.

02:01:55 - 02:01:57 | Speaker 5:

How, do they have something new going on right now?

02:01:57 - 02:02:00 | Speaker 2:

I think, I don't know how they did it, if it was, I don't know.

02:02:01 - 02:02:03 | Speaker 5:

Or maybe it was like, was it a lifetime of work?

02:02:03 - 02:02:24 | Speaker 2:

No, I wasn't awake at that point. They had a new song this year. Once the CEO of the Grammys came out, I was like, it's time to go to bed. It's time to go to bed. The case involving Blake Lively and her former It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni, whom she has accused of sexually harassing her during that film's production, will have its first day in court today.

02:02:25 - 02:02:42 | Speaker 4:

The biggest decision that might come out of Monday's hearing would be whether or not there's going to be a gag winner because it would greatly change the trajectory of this case, at least in the public eye. Are we going to continue to see either party releasing information about this case that may sway us one way or another? Or will it all just be silent?

02:02:42 - 02:02:54 | Speaker 2:

Neither Lake nor Justin will be in that courtroom. At least neither is expected to be in that courtroom. Over the weekend, Justin Baldoni's lawyer created that website and dropped all of the receipts if you're bored.

02:02:54 - 02:02:59 | Speaker 5:

If they gag order this thing, I don't think it's good for Justin. I think it's worse for him because he's the one that's been.

02:03:00 - 02:03:04 | Speaker 2:

I think he already looks like better here. Yeah. What is gag order?

02:03:04 - 02:03:16 | Speaker 5:

You cannot talk about anything involved with the other person or the case at all. So he wouldn't be able to do what he did the last couple of weeks where he's released the behind the scenes videos and then all these text messages.

02:03:16 - 02:03:22 | Speaker 2:

It's really his attorney. His attorney would be not allowed to speak anymore. Isn't he going to argue that Blake started it all?

02:03:22 - 02:03:46 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that would be the case, but I don't know. I wonder if he continues on with his lawsuit, if they publicly apologize to him or say that they're dropping the case. or will he say, screw this, you've already put the damage on me and I want money out of this deal? Because his big thing is he's suing the New York Times and trying to sue these guys financially for ruining them. I'm ready for the interview, man.

02:03:46 - 02:04:26 | Speaker 2:

I need Gil King sitting down. Okay, so a sad story and then two happy stories here. A medical transport jet with a child patient and five others aboard crashed into a Philly neighborhood shortly after takeoff late Friday evening. I was just sick to my stomach when I saw this on the news. Another plane crash. Everybody on that plane from Mexico, the patient had been treated at Shriners Children's Hospital in Philly and was being transported home, back to her home country. Authorities confirmed that all six people on the plane were killed. And one other person actually on the ground in a car was killed. Nineteen people on the ground were injured. Three of those still remain in the hospital.

02:04:26 - 02:04:34 | Speaker 5:

I'm telling you, man. I'm starting to, like, conspiracy theory, everything. I want to know who the kid was that was on that plane, what family members there.

02:04:34 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 2:

Awful, awful, awful story. That's a crazy story. Do you know if the man on fire lived? I don't. Okay. I don't. I'm sorry. Yeah. Emily and Paris star Lily Collins and her husband, Charlie McDowell, announcing they welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Tove Jane McDowell, via surrogate over the weekend. And then Heroes and This Is Us star Milo Ventimiglia and his wife have welcomed their first child just a few weeks after losing their heart.

02:05:00 - 02:05:05 | Speaker 4:

and everything they own to those L.A. wildfires. Kiala Coral Ventimiglia is her name.

02:05:06 - 02:05:11 | Speaker 2:

Milo Ventimiglia lost his home after he lost it on the TV show, too. Isn't that crazy? That's crazy.

02:05:11 - 02:05:19 | Speaker 4:

And his wife was, like, about to give birth to their baby any day when that happened. Just terrible. For all of today's Dirty, catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or mojointhemorning.com.

02:05:20 - 02:05:28 | Speaker 2:

Miss something in the Dirty on the 30? Listen on our podcast now at mojointhemorning.com. Everybody's saying that Beatles song was created by A.I.

02:05:28 - 02:05:31 | Speaker 4:

It was taken from video footage from a documentary that came out.

02:05:31 - 02:05:34 | Speaker 2:

How do they win a Grammy off that?

02:05:34 - 02:05:35 | Speaker 4:

I know. That's where I'm like, hmm.

02:05:36 - 02:05:49 | Speaker 2:

Country music gets robbed and real music gets robbed. Oh, really? Unreal. Selective outrage. Your comedy. Trust. Horrible. This world is messed up. Let Beyonce get her just due, bro. This world is messed up.

02:05:49 - 02:05:53 | Speaker 1:

How many just dues does she get? Oh, look who's talking. Yeah, it's me. It's Lydia. It's Lydia.

02:05:53 - 02:05:55 | Speaker 3:

It must be Taylor time.

02:05:56 - 02:06:05 | Speaker 1:

Listen, Taylor was smugged at the Grammys, but I will say that Billie Eilish deserved that award that Beyonce won. And I think Lainey Wilson should have won that Best Country Artist.

02:06:05 - 02:06:14 | Speaker 2:

Wouldn't it be great if Beyonce wins that award, goes up on stage, and Kanye goes back up there and does the reverse of saying Beyonce shouldn't have won?

02:06:14 - 02:06:16 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, then, Kev, what are you going to say?

02:06:16 - 02:06:20 | Speaker 3:

I mean, you're saying enough for everybody right now. You on your Kanye right now.

02:06:20 - 02:06:24 | Speaker 1:

I like Kanye. I never said I didn't, but what would you say in that matter?

02:06:25 - 02:06:39 | Speaker 3:

All I got to focus on is what took place yesterday, and that's that Beyonce won Album of the Year and Country Album of the Year, and I think we should have just a little bit more appreciation for what we're experiencing right now. Just say congratulations, guys. That's right. Take the high road, guys.

02:06:39 - 02:06:46 | Speaker 2:

It's a nice thing to win before your husband goes to prison with P. Diddy, so we'll figure it out. Oh, my God. What's going on? Lainey, are you there, Lainey?

02:06:47 - 02:06:48 | Speaker 3:

I am.

02:06:48 - 02:06:50 | Speaker 2:

Lainey's a winner. See?

02:06:50 - 02:06:55 | Speaker 3:

She's going to see Katy Perry. There's your Lainey winner right there, guys. She's beautiful.

02:06:55 - 02:07:56 | Speaker 2:

you got tickets you're going to see katie perry tickets are still on sale for that show you can get them at ticket master the show is going to be at little susan's arena in august congratulations thank you so much have the absolute best time and listen next hour because he was the big winner last night won the most awards last night kendrick lamar tickets we got a chance for you to win before the end of the show all right it is mojo in the morning uh oh you know what i got to tell you guys this and i want to see if listeners can give me some advice on it especially those that have had to do this with their parents uh chelsea and i are going to meet our son jacob's boyfriend's family follow the the bouncing ball a little bit because it can get confusing our son jacob is dating a very very nice guy by the name of chris who by the way spells it very weird like megan spells megan wait how does he spell it he spells it with no h or no

02:07:56 - 02:08:03 | Speaker 1:

k it's c-r-i-s i love the way you phrase that like it was my fault like i chose the spelling of my

02:08:03 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 2:

own name well it's true well well i'm gonna meet chris's people that chose his spelling because guess what we're doing this weekend we chelsea and i are going to have dinner with jacob's boyfriend chris's parents i mean that's a big it's a big time yeah and actually i'll be quite honest with you i've never experienced something like this with uh you know being a dad i've experienced this obviously when i was uh younger and chelsea was younger and my dad and my stepmother met chelsea's mom and dad and it was honestly nerve-wracking like i was worried like i knew chelsea's mom and dad and obviously knew my parents and chelsea knew my dad because she had gone you know to visit him when we went to chicago but they never met face to face both of them before we got married my dad came to visit we lived in arizona so he came to arizona to visit and i remember the first time them sitting down together all i kept thinking of myself was what if a my dad doesn't like them because i loved them and what if they don't like my dad what if my dad says something that's offensive what if chelsea's dad more likely says something that's offensive like i thought to myself i'm like what happens here what kind of a bus did you just throw him under joe is the best joe already knows he was joe is joe is the guy that will say anything and then he'll go oh i probably shouldn't have said that but then he knows he he knows he said it but here's here's the thing that's interesting i'm that person so we're gonna go and meet these guys and jacob's uh boyfriend chris has an interesting situation because his parents are both they're divorced uh-huh but they're they so we're meeting we're meeting um chris's mom and her new husband so his stepfather and then his uh the dad and i said to Jake, I go, is the dad bringing, like, a girlfriend?

02:09:59 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Right.

02:10:00 - 02:10:06 | Speaker 1:

And he goes, well, that would be kind of weird because the dad's girlfriend was, like, 29 years old.

02:10:06 - 02:10:07 | Speaker 5:

Something like that.

02:10:07 - 02:10:09 | Speaker 1:

And I'm like, I like this guy already.

02:10:09 - 02:10:16 | Speaker 5:

Can I say something, though? I love that they're doing this all together. Yeah, same. That makes my heart seriously very, very happy.

02:10:16 - 02:10:48 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you'd love these. By the way, you want to hear the craziest thing? From what I understand, I don't know. I'll tell you guys next week what they're like. But from what I understand, the dad and the stepfather are really good friends. They get along and hang out and stuff, which is honestly so mature. Chris is, it's obvious that Chris has been raised by great people because he is an amazing young man. I love this kid. He reminds me a lot of me emotionally because he's a, he's a crier and he is sensitive guy.

02:10:49 - 02:10:49 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:10:49 - 02:10:55 | Speaker 1:

And he's, oh no, he's a crier. He's this kid. I can make him cry. Like you, wait till you see him. I'm going to, I'm going to do something to make that kid cry.

02:10:55 - 02:11:00 | Speaker 3:

Do you cry in, like, an emotional, like, sensitivity way or cry like you're just bullying him?

02:11:00 - 02:11:01 | Speaker 1:

No, I kick him in the knee and cry.

02:11:02 - 02:11:02 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's what it is.

02:11:03 - 02:11:58 | Speaker 1:

So I want to ask this question because I really want to get advice from you guys. And I'm being honest on this. I'm not just looking for good stories. I want to know what happened when your parents met the person that you're dating's parents. Like, did anything weird happen? Like, is there anything I should stay away from? We're doing it at a public place. We're going to a restaurant. I invited them. So I already said that Chelsea and I are paying for this. Like we're taking care of it because I wanted this to happen. And the reason was because Jacob and Chris moved in together. And so when Jacob and Chris moved in together, I'm like, I don't know what this kid's wanted. Like, I want to know what's going on. And I want to know what his parents are all about. And I want to know, you know, all that stuff. And honestly, Jacob talks about them because he spends a lot of time with Chris's family. And I hear him say so many great things. I'm going, if these people are this great, prove it.

02:11:58 - 02:12:02 | Speaker 5:

So they live in the Chicago area as well.

02:12:02 - 02:12:27 | Speaker 1:

And you want to hear a crazy story? Chris's dad and I grew up within 15, 20 minutes of each other. Chris's dad grew up on the same block as one of my very, very good friends, George McFly, my buddy who I worked with. Really? Yeah. Yeah, and Chris's dad and I are the same age. So I think that we're almost exactly the same.

02:12:27 - 02:12:28 | Speaker 5:

You're going to know a ton of the same people.

02:12:28 - 02:12:46 | Speaker 1:

I'm hoping that we do. I'm hoping that we find this out. Can I tell you something? I love the idea that this could be one of those situations where we find out that Jacob might actually be related to Chris.

02:12:46 - 02:12:59 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. You know what would be crazy? Cousins. If his dad doesn't show up with a 26-year-old, but instead his date is Tracy Rozak. I would die. How do you remember that name?

02:12:59 - 02:13:00 | Speaker 4:

I would die.

02:13:01 - 02:13:10 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. Or a woman named Nancy who used to be a cheerleader in the Chicago Bulls. You know what?

02:13:10 - 02:13:14 | Speaker 1:

Maybe he knows Nancy. Maybe he knows Nancy. That would be funny. Oh, my God.

02:13:14 - 02:13:15 | Speaker 4:

That's so good.

02:13:15 - 02:14:04 | Speaker 1:

No, that would be. Honestly, Kevin, I can't believe Kevin remembered that name. You got a freaking vault of a memory there. Honestly, I'd hate him. You son of a... No, I'm really excited. Can I say something about Jacob? So I talked to Jacob and Chris yesterday. My relationship with Jacob is not as close as my relationship with Joe and Luke. And it's because I don't like gay people. So I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Don't even joke. You know, there are people that probably go. Someone's going to take just that one thing from today. I'll never be able to run for mayor. I was thinking about running for mayor of Detroit, but now I can't. No, it's because of proximity for him, but also, you know, Jacob and I, Jacob's so close with his mom.

02:14:04 - 02:14:04 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:14:04 - 02:14:13 | Speaker 1:

They are literally tight. Yesterday, I was on the phone with Jacob and Chris for over an hour. We had an amazing conversation.

02:14:13 - 02:14:13 | Speaker 4:

Good.

02:14:13 - 02:14:37 | Speaker 1:

And I say this with all sincerity. I think that Chris is somebody that is so good for Jacob, but also is somebody that might bring Jacob and I even closer together. And I don't and I'm not putting pressure because who knows if these guys ever stay in the relationship. I fall in love with my kids, you know, significant others, significance. And so that's that's kind of a problem.

02:14:38 - 02:14:41 | Speaker 4:

But that's not a problem, by the way.

02:14:41 - 02:14:43 | Speaker 1:

Well, it's not when they until they break up.

02:14:43 - 02:14:47 | Speaker 4:

But even then, it's a good thing to have a great relationship with them.

02:14:47 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 1:

No, it is. And honestly, all I want is, I just want somebody that's going to be respectful of my kids, and they will be respectful back at them. And then I want him to marry a rich family. I hope this is going to be good. Why do I joke so much?

02:15:00 - 02:15:11 | Speaker 3:

back on joking on this because i'm not getting any advice happening saturday we're getting together saturday um nobody has it did you uh did uh well uh west's parents are dead and i only say it like

02:15:11 - 02:15:41 | Speaker 4:

that because he always says man you you have it really easy like we don't have to share any holidays you didn't have to meet anybody he would joke like that as well but yeah his parents have both passed um so my but my family met his siblings for the first time at our wedding yeah i mean and and to him like he was essentially raised by his older sister and older brother they're more than a decade older than him so to him i feel like that felt like their parents my

02:15:41 - 02:16:34 | Speaker 3:

parents were meeting and to be fair his family's in a different country yeah yeah but it's hard So my, when my sisters came to visit Chelsea's grandfather, who Danny Manzo is the greatest guy ever, he treated my family like they were like his family. And I never will forget my sister. I'm getting emotional thinking about this because he's, he's not here. Chelsea's grandfather treated them like he gave up his house to them to stay there. And then he, you know, stayed somewhere else because he didn't want them staying in a hotel. And I remember my sister Mary Jo saying to me, this is a great family because this family took us in as their family. And that's kind of what Chels and I hope to do, you know, when we have a conversation to let them know that to those parents, your son, if he's good to my son, we will treat him like he's our son.

02:16:34 - 02:16:47 | Speaker 4:

But by the way, it sounds like Chris's family is already doing that a lot to Jacob. And so I feel like you are going to like you guys are going to have a really beautiful dinner and relationship because you can already tell they're good hearted people.

02:16:47 - 02:17:08 | Speaker 3:

And honestly, that's what I want to thank. You know, both of us want to thank them for because they are closer to Jacob proximity wise than we are. And I know that if anything happened to Jake, like if he got sick and needed somebody immediately, it sounds to me like Chris's parents are great people. Kayla, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. We're meeting the parents this weekend. What's going on?

02:17:09 - 02:17:42 | Speaker 2:

Uh, that's it. That's really exciting. I actually, we just had that, that just happened with my, uh, uh, with my boyfriend and we found out that, uh, my parents and his parents actually went to like my mom, like our moms went to school together. Oh my God. What a small world. Yeah, we're from, too, so we're, like, from an hour and a half away, so we didn't even know and found out that our parents went to school together and stuff, and now they're really good friends, and, you know, they, you know, they make sure that we're good, so it's really good, I feel like, to have, like, a really good relationship with them.

02:17:42 - 02:17:50 | Speaker 3:

Did you get nervous at all, like, that they wouldn't like each other, or is that just not even something that was on your mind at all?

02:17:50 - 02:18:21 | Speaker 2:

No, it was definitely kind of nerve-wracking. And then once they found out, you know, hey, you went to high school with me, blah, blah, blah, everything was, like, great. And, you know, they talk, like, constantly now. So it's almost like they reconnected from, like, long-lost friends or something. Yeah. So I thought that was kind of weird that we didn't even know our parents knew each other. And then it's like, hey, you know, I haven't talked to you in a while. And they're good friends now. That's cool. That's a big part, yeah. I would have worried they would plot against me. You know what I mean? Like, I don't need them getting too close.

02:18:21 - 02:18:42 | Speaker 3:

What happens in the case if you don't like them? Like, do you say to your son, you know what, I really don't, you know, because that, you know, I don't think that's, you know, a situation, obviously, that we'll have to face with that. But I almost want, you know, yeah, you want to give your kid a good piece of advice. Susan, what's going on?

02:18:43 - 02:19:15 | Speaker 1:

Hey, guys. Good morning. Good morning. What's going on? So I actually have four married daughters. um and you know that you're going to love the parents because the child is a reflection of the parents sure and and like my son-in-law my old my my so my daughter has been married 20 years to my son-in-law and when i met him i instantly loved him and his parents are the same way and that goes for all of the husbands that married my daughters i just i love their parents and we get

02:19:15 - 02:19:37 | Speaker 3:

together without the kids now that's cool that's that's neat can i tell you something susan that i'm that that i'm hoping for is like i'm hoping for that like i'm hoping for it's a it's a moment where you know we we get done and i know it's not going to happen in one dinner but i'm hoping it's a moment where we all realize we have the common goal of we love each other's children yeah

02:19:37 - 02:19:55 | Speaker 1:

absolutely and that happens and it's really great and i have an ex-husband we were married for almost 20 years and i'm remarried and he's remarried and we invite them to holidays it's great because we have grand we have grandkids right wow and everybody has to be adults healthy

02:19:55 - 02:20:32 | Speaker 3:

and that's how we go about it it's nice it's good to hear healthy stuff going on that's and that's should be anybody that's in relationships and it's not like that you guys got to rethink yourselves because it's it's hard on your kids can I say something that I am truly honestly this is no joke so I've you know my son uh Jacob is gay and Chris is a isn't uh you know a man and I wonder how does the wedding thing happen like you know how with a guy and a girl getting married that usually it's the bride's family that kind of like helps out with majority and then the the groom's family does like you know rehearsal dinners and things like that you're not even gonna

02:20:32 - 02:20:39 | Speaker 1:

have to worry about that jacob was the kid that didn't even want a graduation party they are gonna elope and that's it they're gonna go to the courthouse that's it also i love that your

02:20:39 - 02:20:44 | Speaker 3:

main priority here is how to save money wouldn't that be no i well i want to make sure it's a good

02:20:44 - 02:20:50 | Speaker 5:

wedding either that or the parents you're gonna get together and split it half and half i mean

02:20:50 - 02:21:04 | Speaker 3:

I'm not 50-50 with nothing. You've got to be kidding me. No, Susan. We'd do anything for those guys. All right. Well, we love you. We'll talk to you later. Love you, too. Thanks so much. Thanks for positive vibes on this whole thing.

02:21:05 - 02:21:18 | Speaker 4:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. Hold on. VKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live.

02:21:20 - 02:21:23 | Speaker 3:

Hold on, I got a negative one here. B, are you there?

02:21:25 - 02:21:26 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, hi.

02:21:26 - 02:21:27 | Speaker 3:

What happened, B?

02:21:29 - 02:22:09 | Speaker 5:

It's actually been, like, every single one of my boyfriends in the past and my current boyfriend. My mom has just never had a really good experience with any of his, any of my, like, any of the in-laws, essentially. Especially my, like, current boyfriend, we had them over after Christmas for a nice dinner. And she laughed, and my mom was like, God, she was just really loud. So I just don't have a feeling that, like, any of my in-laws are ever going to be, like, friends. Like, it's really nice to hear other people be friends with their kids, you know, and moms. But my parents are probably just never going to be friends.

02:22:09 - 02:22:16 | Speaker 3:

What if it's your mom? If all of them don't get along, it might be a common denominator that your mom might be the pain in the ass.

02:22:17 - 02:22:25 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I love my mom, so I'm not going to say that it is her, but the jury's still out on that one.

02:22:26 - 02:22:31 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to watch my alcohol intake. I will tell you that. That's one thing I've got to be very careful of.

02:22:31 - 02:22:33 | Speaker 5:

Just let Chelsea lead the conversation.

02:22:34 - 02:22:34 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no.

02:22:35 - 02:22:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:22:35 - 02:22:37 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

02:22:37 - 02:22:39 | Speaker 4:

That's the wrong thing to do.

02:22:39 - 02:22:47 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no. Chelsea's very honest. and I, you know, sometimes you need to be a little diplomatic.

02:22:48 - 02:22:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, but Chelsea knows how to not cross the line.

02:22:50 - 02:23:05 | Speaker 3:

Okay, she is good at that. Yeah. But I will say this, man. I'll know five seconds in, but I think with Jacob, because, you know, Jake is, Jake wouldn't put himself in a situation that wasn't great.

02:23:05 - 02:23:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:23:05 - 02:23:37 | Speaker 3:

Joe, Luke, meh, maybe not so much. All right. Mojo in the Morning Show, phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is the telephone number so i'm looking at the word that you used to title this next topic and you you're when i saw it i thought is this about tony travato the sexual deceiver no tony travato is the sexual deviant the other d yeah you are the sexual deceiver listen to what

02:23:37 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 2:

kevin is thinking about i um this is very hard for me to bring up but i'm doing so um because for one i need to release it off my spirit i feel like i already have but there's something beautiful about bringing it to the radio something lethargic i think that's the right word i'm trying to use cathartic there we go one of those one of those well i am i am lethargic yeah with it on my spirit so i need to be cathartic by bringing it out thank you thank thanks my my webster and my miriam over here thank you guys um dictionary names so i don't like that i went through this but hopefully it can help somebody by me being being transparent there was a young lady that i was friends with this is late last year for it so it's been a few months that i was friends with that i was interested in and her mom had fallen ill and i saw that as an opportunity to get closer to her now yes i wanted to be there as a friend but i would be lying if i said that was my intentions were fully pure i saw her mom's illness and i'm look i do not like that i did this i do not think that it was right but i gotta be real i saw that as an opportunity to get closer to her and to be the best friend that she could possibly have during this moment in hopes that it would lead her to like seeing me in a different light and possibly getting some booty dick

02:25:00 - 02:25:21 | Speaker 3:

absolutely okay and once i and that went on for a few weeks or whatever but i will say there was a moment where i was like okay this is absolutely wrong like i felt nasty i felt dirty i felt condemned and i kind of i never told her that and i probably won't because it's terrible but

02:25:21 - 02:25:33 | Speaker 6:

yeah i don't know hold on hold on wait so what are you asking for advice or what no this is confession oh it's just a confession yes yes that's good go say 28 our fathers and

02:25:33 - 02:25:57 | Speaker 3:

did anything happen no so after i realized what my intentions were again i felt nasty i felt ridiculous i prayed about it and kind of distanced myself until i felt that my intentions were pure and i was reaching out and the friend that i know that she needed and the friend that i wanted to be until i was able to operate in that role oh so you're good by the way but i wasn't it was bad

02:25:57 - 02:26:14 | Speaker 2:

this is not uncommon and i'm going to tell you this it's not uncommon because you experienced this i think me when you told everybody on the air that you were divorced do you know how many guys were were uh calling you not me well they were that is not they were calling all the rest

02:26:14 - 02:26:30 | Speaker 6:

of us okay because they were not calling me i want to be by the way you're full of it that they weren't calling you i swear on my life they were not because every guy which makes me feel even i almost said a bad word which makes me feel even crappier because that was not the case i

02:26:30 - 02:26:50 | Speaker 2:

think what happens is when people see that you're going through a loss and the loss can be in this girl's case she or or a tragic situation her mom's sick right do not compare when but when people see that somebody's sick or somebody dies or somebody gets a divorce i think that naturally people look

02:26:50 - 02:27:05 | Speaker 1:

at that as oh maybe i might get some those are not comparable they're all comparable it's a it's an emotional moment in your life somebody become single and saying oh my opportunity has now opened up versus i think somebody's going through some crap because their parent is dying

02:27:05 - 02:27:28 | Speaker 2:

are two different things but it's you're looking it's a vulnerability time yeah i get the blanket of that like they're in a vulnerable state hold on michelle wants to say something to kevin and then i want to ask some listeners i want to ask listeners if you've ever done this have you ever pulled a kev or did you think somebody did this with you 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 have at them

02:27:28 - 02:27:53 | Speaker 4:

michelle good morning guys good lord kevin what is wrong with you i know i know and you are so much better than that you're right as someone who's mom my mom has passed away both my parents have passed away and oh my god like that's the last thing that's going to be on that girl's mind is getting booty from Kevin when her mom is dying. Kevin.

02:27:53 - 02:28:04 | Speaker 3:

I know. Listen, it is not my proudest moment. I hate that I experienced that, and I repented, asked the Lord for forgiveness. I felt condemned. You're absolutely right. Hey, hey, hey.

02:28:05 - 02:28:11 | Speaker 4:

When you said you felt condemned, I stood out laughing because my text was, Jesus, Kev, come on.

02:28:11 - 02:28:18 | Speaker 2:

But think about the happiness she would have had when she was with Kevin, though. You know? Maybe.

02:28:18 - 02:28:20 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. That's for sure.

02:28:21 - 02:28:28 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Don't you think this is a great opportunity to, like, make somebody not have to think about the pain of their mother being sick?

02:28:28 - 02:28:29 | Speaker 6:

I don't know, man.

02:28:29 - 02:28:31 | Speaker 2:

While she's laying next to this guy.

02:28:31 - 02:28:36 | Speaker 6:

Are you confessing this because you want to circle back and you want something to happen with this girl?

02:28:36 - 02:28:37 | Speaker 3:

We're still friends.

02:28:37 - 02:28:40 | Speaker 6:

No, you want something more to come of it?

02:28:40 - 02:28:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I still do, but it's got to happen in the right way.

02:28:42 - 02:28:52 | Speaker 6:

Like, nothing is going to... Okay, so this is one that I want updates on every couple of weeks. This, to me, feels like this is somebody that you care about so much. I do.

02:28:52 - 02:28:52 | Speaker 3:

I do.

02:28:53 - 02:28:55 | Speaker 2:

Did she sense it? Did she know? I don't think so.

02:28:55 - 02:28:56 | Speaker 3:

We never talked about that.

02:28:56 - 02:28:59 | Speaker 2:

So is this the first time that you're talking about it to anybody with us?

02:28:59 - 02:28:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:28:59 - 02:29:01 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Hold on. What's up, Amanda? Hi.

02:29:02 - 02:29:03 | Speaker 5:

Good morning, everyone. Good morning.

02:29:03 - 02:29:04 | Speaker 2:

What's going on?

02:29:05 - 02:29:30 | Speaker 5:

Good for you, Kevin. That is awesome that you were able to see that in yourself, that you had those impure intentions. You were able to step back, not talk to her, let her have that space because you knew what you were doing. And then to come on the radio and admit that and be able to show other people like, hey, we're not all perfect. I mess up, you know, and then this is a way that I've messed up. And other people probably have done it, too.

02:29:30 - 02:29:35 | Speaker 2:

Is it bad that he also hangs out at funeral homes waiting for the widows to walk out?

02:29:35 - 02:29:39 | Speaker 5:

You stop it. You stop it. No, no. Don't ruin this moment.

02:29:39 - 02:29:40 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

02:29:40 - 02:29:41 | Speaker 5:

Good for you, Kevin.

02:29:41 - 02:29:56 | Speaker 2:

Hold on, let me read this one. 7-3-4, tell me what you think of this one. 7-3-4 says, I had a coworker that lost their job. I called them up that night to tell them I wanted to take them out just so that they can get their mind off of work. We ended up having sex.

02:29:58 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 5:

I mean, a win's a win.

02:30:00 - 02:30:04 | Speaker 1:

We got a meal out of the deal. What's up, Carlos? How you doing? Pretty good.

02:30:04 - 02:30:05 | Speaker 3:

How you doing?

02:30:05 - 02:30:07 | Speaker 1:

Good. Kevin is a dog, isn't he?

02:30:10 - 02:30:24 | Speaker 3:

Hey, we all have a little bit of a mouth. One situation I had was I used to work in a group home. And at one point, I was getting divorced. And I had like five women I worked with all asked me out like two days after they found I was getting divorced. Really?

02:30:24 - 02:30:37 | Speaker 1:

See that? Women do this thing. Those women are preying upon fresh meat. How did it get your mind off of that? Did it get your mind off of the ex?

02:30:38 - 02:30:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, heck yeah. It was funny because I was working with one lady. We were sitting there. I was talking about telling her something she had to do. One woman kept walking back and forth. She was like, she likes you, aren't you? That's about the fifth time she walked by. Wow.

02:30:51 - 02:30:52 | Speaker 2:

How many of them did you go out with?

02:30:55 - 02:30:55 | Speaker 3:

None of them.

02:30:56 - 02:31:03 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, lies. He just had sex with them. That's not going out. Carly, what's up, Carly? How you doing? Hi, guys.

02:31:03 - 02:31:04 | Speaker 2:

How are you? Good morning.

02:31:04 - 02:31:05 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, Carly?

02:31:06 - 02:31:33 | Speaker 2:

I was actually the girl in the situation who was going through something really hard, and I let them in, and it's in the moment you rely on them, and they're your happiness for that long, and after six months, he broke up with me, and I was lost. So if you're the girl, it's just like, for both of you, just leave her alone, because after that I he was my support and then it was gone so yeah it's just really hard on the girl

02:31:33 - 02:31:39 | Speaker 1:

why did he do what what was the story why would he do that to you he was just using you for the

02:31:39 - 02:32:00 | Speaker 2:

circumstance huh yeah family friends knew about my situation um thought he was like our families are close yeah but he was definitely just using me because I was down and still recovering from not like having the actual support so yeah really messed up but yeah yeah you know what i i think

02:32:00 - 02:32:36 | Speaker 1:

that this probably happens a lot and i know shannon says that she didn't get any calls but i'm telling you there were a lot of guys there was i feel like you kept telling me about guys that were calling you i got guys that would call up all the time and be like hey uh mojo this is uh larry from you know whatever larry no i don't know i'm just saying the names out be like listen And I was wondering if I could get Shannon's phone number. I heard she's getting divorced. I just wanted to give her some advice on what, I'm like, you're a, I know you're a dog. No, not a putz. I think he's, listen, I think he's smart for trying. But I think, I think that they, you know, at that moment right there, you know what their intentions are. Yeah. Right?

02:32:36 - 02:32:39 | Speaker 2:

I mean, there was one guy that did that and didn't stop.

02:32:40 - 02:32:40 | Speaker 1:

Really?

02:32:40 - 02:32:41 | Speaker 2:

And I was waiting to him.

02:32:44 - 02:32:55 | Speaker 1:

I was waiting for it. I was like, hold on. I'm just going to call him out. That was one. Hold on, hold on. Awad, is it? I don't know. How do you pronounce his name? Awad. Awad?

02:32:56 - 02:32:57 | Speaker 4:

Hey, that's me.

02:32:57 - 02:32:59 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Awad? What's going on?

02:32:59 - 02:33:23 | Speaker 4:

I'm good. How about yourself? Good. What's going on? You know, nothing's in paradise. I'm good. I'm good. I'm hearing your radio show right now, and I hear that Kevin, you know, he saw an opportunity. You know, he's a lion. He's a predator. He needs to go where the meat is. He is not a predator. Do not use that word. So, wait. I'm not predator. I'm talking about like apex predator, like something that eats, like at the top of the food chain, meaning.

02:33:23 - 02:33:24 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:33:24 - 02:33:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay.

02:33:24 - 02:33:27 | Speaker 1:

Where does he need to go? You said he needs to go somewhere.

02:33:29 - 02:33:30 | Speaker 4:

What do you mean he needs to go?

02:33:30 - 02:33:33 | Speaker 1:

Like where's the best place to prey upon these?

02:33:34 - 02:33:58 | Speaker 4:

To prey upon these, man, you could go to like the club. You could go to like a funeral home. You could go to a mental hospital. Oh, my God. A mental hospital. You got to help them. You got to find an opportunity to help the person, and then you get what you want. They get what they want, and then you show appreciation. They show appreciation. You fall in love. They fall in love, and then it becomes a happily ever after. I don't think it was that big of a deal, to be honest with you.

02:33:58 - 02:34:34 | Speaker 1:

My favorite is, you're saying this, yet I hear stories all the time about people who will look and see, I guess they announced divorces, and then it's public record. I didn't know this. Really? And there were guys that used to say all the time that they would public record and see girls that they went to school with and if they got divorced. Or, here's the other one, go to somebody's social media and notice that they changed something in their social media. Like, you can always tell when somebody's going through a relationship issue based on their posts. Yeah. And I think that if that's an easy one, then you end up contacting them.

02:34:34 - 02:34:36 | Speaker 2:

Y'all are acting like ambulance chasers.

02:34:36 - 02:34:41 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's pretty much, you know what you, yeah, really. You're the personal injury attorneys of guys.

All right. So I was watching yesterday the news, and they showed that yesterday was Groundhog's Day, Which, I didn't even think this thing was still around. For some reason, I thought they canceled that. Like, that was part of the whole woke moment when they were like.

02:35:34 - 02:35:46 | Speaker 4:

I think they tried to. Are there, like, rules for betting on that like there are for, like, major sports leagues? Because what's keeping the guy from announcing if they saw the shadow or not from betting on that?

02:35:46 - 02:35:52 | Speaker 2:

And you know what? I don't know. Does anybody, does DraftKings or any of those places have that? Do they really? Yeah. Because I would think it's all a lie.

02:35:52 - 02:35:57 | Speaker 4:

Because the guy who picks out the, what is it? Yeah. Groundhog.

02:35:57 - 02:35:58 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

02:35:58 - 02:36:01 | Speaker 3:

He seems Punxsutawney Phil. Can you all explain that to me?

02:36:02 - 02:36:09 | Speaker 2:

So if the groundhog sees its shadow, that means it's six more weeks of winter or something like that?

02:36:09 - 02:36:11 | Speaker 4:

I think. Isn't it?

02:36:11 - 02:36:47 | Speaker 2:

Here, hold on. Let me pull up the story here. It's Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, yes, and predicted six more weeks of wintry weather. The Woodchuck's weather forecasting abilities is the annual ritual that goes back more than a century in western Pennsylvania. When Phil is deemed to have not seen his shadow, that is said to usher in an early spring. Well, guess what? The little bastard saw his shadow, and now we've got to deal with a little bit more, I guess, winter weather. We've had a horrible—

02:36:47 - 02:37:06 | Speaker 1:

Thank you for coming. And I, your favorite president, Donald Trump, have an important Groundhog Day announcement. The groundhog saw his shadow, which, of course, means six more weeks of tariffs on all of the countries who have shown me disrespect.

02:37:07 - 02:37:44 | Speaker 2:

All right. There you go. All right. So this is interesting question for you. And here's my question. My question is, what's the animal that you knew? Because when I lived in Tucson, Arizona, they didn't have a hedgehog or whatever. I think they had like a snake or something like that. And then somebody told me that in Royal Oak, that the city of Royal Oak, the zoo has one. Has a what? Has an animal or something. I don't know what it is. That predicts weather? Yeah. I don't know if it's a goat or something, but there's other cities that have these things.

02:37:44 - 02:37:45 | Speaker 4:

My dad has a knee.

02:37:46 - 02:37:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, your knee hurts you?

02:37:47 - 02:37:50 | Speaker 4:

My dad's knees are hurting. That is true, by the way.

02:37:50 - 02:37:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you get pains in your body.

02:37:53 - 02:37:56 | Speaker 4:

I didn't know that there are other animals.

02:37:56 - 02:38:31 | Speaker 2:

In Connecticut, they have a duck. So there's a duck called Scramble that becomes. And then I guess in North Carolina, they got like a pig that does it. Florida, they have an owl, and they also have like a reptile, maybe an alligator or something. That's what I would like. If the alligator comes out, by the way, if the alligator comes out, I want the guy with the goofy top hat to be having to deal with it. In New York, in upper state New York, they have Henrietta the chicken that tells you.

02:38:31 - 02:38:32 | Speaker 3:

This is so stupid.

02:38:33 - 02:38:37 | Speaker 2:

What is it? Hold on. Let's look up. Detroit Zoo Animal. What is the Google app for?

02:38:37 - 02:38:50 | Speaker 4:

I'm telling you, they must have done something about it in Smith's first grade class on Friday because he came home with this cute little decorated bag, and he's like, my prediction is inside. All weekend, he was so excited for Grandpa's Day. I want to be a little guy.

02:38:52 - 02:38:59 | Speaker 3:

Woody the Woodchuck? Is that what it is? When I Google it, it says the Detroit Zoo doesn't have an animal that predicts winter.

02:39:00 - 02:39:07 | Speaker 2:

Oh, here you go. Michigan, they do have Woody, its own groundhog, that predicts. You're right.

02:39:07 - 02:39:08 | Speaker 3:

Woody the woodchuck?

02:39:08 - 02:39:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, or something. Gobbler's name, I guess it's Pennsylvania. I don't know. To me, when I see these things and I go, okay, what is it going to be? Because if we deal with another January ever in our lives, that was the longest month of our lives. Like, it felt like it was 365 days and now 31 days. February is off to a great start, though. Because?

02:39:33 - 02:39:38 | Speaker 3:

I mean, Beyonce won, the Luka trade. The hits just keep coming and coming.

02:39:38 - 02:39:45 | Speaker 2:

There's a lot of good stuff going on. I just don't know. I don't know if I could put up with six more. Is it six more weeks?

02:39:45 - 02:39:51 | Speaker 4:

We haven't had a winter. So what's the problem with dealing with six more weeks of this? What is she talking about? What?

02:39:51 - 02:39:56 | Speaker 2:

What are you, crazy? We had like two days of snow. What? We've had, come on.

02:39:57 - 02:40:10 | Speaker 4:

It was literally 50 degrees. week and a half ago it was megan it was minus 20 degrees for like are you living in the same city as i'm living in there's no way you must go you go home and just hang out in the apartment with

02:40:10 - 02:40:19 | Speaker 3:

the blinds closed and we just don't know that no i just i think that everybody's so funny when it comes to cold weather they're like winter has been so long i'm like it's been in the 40s most

02:40:19 - 02:40:35 | Speaker 4:

of the time by the way the only good news to this whole thing is that stupid groundhog has predicted the last couple of years that it didn't see its shadow, so that means that there was supposed to be a shorter one, and it was not a shorter. I felt like the spring did not come fast enough.

02:40:35 - 02:40:36 | Speaker 2:

So he's wrong.

02:40:36 - 02:40:37 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Sean? How you doing?

02:40:38 - 02:40:39 | Speaker 2:

What up, Mojo?

02:40:39 - 02:40:43 | Speaker 4:

Hi. You have the prediction on Punxsutawney Phil for us, Sean, huh?

02:40:44 - 02:40:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, on Fox 2 Morning News this morning, they said over the decades when he sees his shadow and saying it's six more weeks this winter, He's been 40% wrong.

02:40:54 - 02:40:57 | Speaker 4:

Thank God. Who said that? Jay Tower said that? Because Jay's never wrong.

02:40:57 - 02:41:00 | Speaker 2:

Jay Tower's there this morning on Fox 2 Morning News.

02:41:00 - 02:41:04 | Speaker 4:

Okay. What do you think? Somebody needs to kidnap that thing.

02:41:05 - 02:41:08 | Speaker 2:

Well, it's not been the same one.

02:41:08 - 02:41:10 | Speaker 5:

I hope you know this. It's not?

02:41:10 - 02:41:12 | Speaker 4:

They don't have one groundhog?

02:41:12 - 02:41:15 | Speaker 5:

It's like they have one groundhog that has lived that long.

02:41:16 - 02:41:30 | Speaker 4:

My kids had one elf on the shelf. What are you talking about? Don't you dare. Shannon's, by the way, going to give out some details here that she shouldn't be doing on the radio here, Sean. I don't believe it. Oh, Lord. Sean, Megan says...

02:41:30 - 02:41:37 | Speaker 2:

I grew up in the D.C. area, and global warming is different. D.C., Virginia, and Maryland gets more snow than Detroit now.

02:41:37 - 02:41:40 | Speaker 4:

Megan says that we haven't had any cold or snow in January.

02:41:40 - 02:41:41 | Speaker 3:

That's not what I said at all.

02:41:41 - 02:41:42 | Speaker 4:

What did you say?

02:41:42 - 02:41:44 | Speaker 3:

I said that this hasn't been a harsh winter.

02:41:44 - 02:41:45 | Speaker 4:

Oh, it's been horrible.

02:41:45 - 02:41:48 | Speaker 2:

My daughter's in Maryland, and she just got a foot of snow last weekend.

02:41:49 - 02:41:52 | Speaker 4:

Well, we had some snow on Friday. I thought I was going to drive off the road.

02:41:52 - 02:41:58 | Speaker 3:

complete dusting wow no it was three plus i literally there was bad snow on friday make it

02:41:58 - 02:42:02 | Speaker 4:

man you need to move out to west bloomfield and get out of the city or maybe i need to move to

02:42:02 - 02:42:20 | Speaker 5:

the city i'll be happy what's up drake how you doing hey i just wanted to uh comment on the weather and uh i can tell you guys work inside yeah why because we're complaining about it so much because you guys were saying it was in the 40s but it was like negative five every day for us

02:42:20 - 02:42:25 | Speaker 4:

Well, that's what Megan said. Yeah, Megan said that, yeah, it hasn't been that bad.

02:42:25 - 02:42:32 | Speaker 3:

Dude, a week and a half ago, we were all like, oh, my God, it's so warm out. We would be wearing shorts. What do you, what do you, I'm not the crazy one here.

02:42:32 - 02:42:35 | Speaker 4:

A week and a half ago, it was 20 degrees or minus 20 degrees.

02:42:35 - 02:42:39 | Speaker 3:

And in December, it was like the 60s. We had 60 degree weather in December.

02:42:40 - 02:42:48 | Speaker 4:

When, where are you? Next to you. Drake, you work outside. Will you tell Megan what it really felt like out there?

02:42:49 - 02:42:52 | Speaker 5:

Oh, it felt like at least negative 15. At least.

02:42:52 - 02:42:56 | Speaker 4:

For sure. Did your balls shrivel up into your body it was so cold?

02:42:57 - 02:42:58 | Speaker 5:

100%.

02:42:58 - 02:43:04 | Speaker 3:

I'm not going to be guessing here. I didn't say we didn't have cold days. We just haven't had comparably that many.

02:43:04 - 02:43:10 | Speaker 4:

Man, I don't know. This is a man that works outdoors. He's dealing with his.

02:43:10 - 02:43:13 | Speaker 3:

You're right. It's the worst winter we've ever had. I can't believe we survived.

02:43:13 - 02:43:17 | Speaker 4:

Hold on. Morgan wants to say something. Morgan and Draycon with us. What's going on, guys?

02:43:18 - 02:43:26 | Speaker 6:

What's up? Oh, I'm 100% with Megan on this one. We had, what, three cold days in the past three years. That is not a winter make.

02:43:26 - 02:43:28 | Speaker 4:

You're a snowmobiler that goes up north, aren't you?

02:43:29 - 02:43:36 | Speaker 6:

No, I'm not a snowmobiler, but I do run pretty warm-blooded all the time. I'm that guy who shovels his driveway in his T-shirt. That's crazy.

02:43:37 - 02:43:42 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Drake, you work outside. Tell Morgan what it's like or, you know, be clean with it. What's going on?

02:43:42 - 02:43:45 | Speaker 5:

Over here on the lake shore, it was freezing. I'm telling you.

02:43:45 - 02:44:05 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's brutal. All right. well listen guys enough complaining about the weather this is my life by the way now i think once i turned a certain age i all of a sudden became my dad like all i do is talk about the weather uh katie what's up how you doing katie i'm good how are you good what's up i am with

02:44:05 - 02:44:19 | Speaker 1:

megan here i feel like we had had the most mild winter christmas we were like outside drinking cocktails it's been two cold days who are you guys i and i live right near you mojo like it's

02:44:19 - 02:44:33 | Speaker 3:

been fine you guys okay he's gonna love this according to the noaa this winter has been one of the warmest on record in the united states in the past i don't trust any abbreviated people

02:44:33 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 4:

anybody that anybody who's just as abbreviations are the people that you still use their middle name when they say their full name um all right bye katie snow the herpes and weather this is mojo in the morning by the way speaking of the nfl did you see the price of the tickets has gone down drastically in the last week for super bowl and they're saying yeah

02:45:00 - 02:45:04 | Speaker 2:

They're saying that this Super Bowl ticket might be one of the cheapest ones.

02:45:04 - 02:45:04 | Speaker 5:

Really?

02:45:04 - 02:45:09 | Speaker 2:

Now. So it went from being one of the more expensive to now possibly being one of the cheapest.

02:45:09 - 02:45:13 | Speaker 5:

Because nobody really cares unless you're an Eagles fan or a Chiefs fan.

02:45:13 - 02:45:28 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's what I'm starting to wonder is maybe that the NFL screwed up because they fix everything. They should have had the Lions in there. Who do you think is going to win? Who do I think is going to win? Yes. I think that the Chiefs win, and I want the Chiefs to win.

02:45:28 - 02:45:28 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

02:45:28 - 02:45:34 | Speaker 2:

And I think the reason why is because I think the Eagles, to me, are frauds. I don't know.

02:45:35 - 02:45:36 | Speaker 4:

Let's bet $20.

02:45:36 - 02:45:36 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

02:45:37 - 02:45:38 | Speaker 4:

All right. I'm going to go Eagles.

02:45:38 - 02:45:40 | Speaker 2:

All right. Any points? You going to give any points?

02:45:40 - 02:45:48 | Speaker 4:

I'm not. You're the favorite. So if anybody should get some points, I should get some points. I do think the Eagles are going to score 24 points, though, and win.

02:45:48 - 02:46:42 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Then I'm going to say that the Chiefs are going to win, and you're going to owe me $20 a week from today. 844-MOJO-LIVE actually no text we're going to do text to win on this one because we're going to keep the phone line open we'll do a text to win for Kendrick and SZA performing at the Super Bowl halftime show text let's do squabble text squabble to 95500 for a chance to see them when they come through town at Ford Field June the 10th squabble S-Q-U-A-B-B-L-E I heard that he by the way flew in and then flew right out after the Grammys, which Shannon's going to talk about the Grammys in a second, because that's how much preparation goes into doing the Super Bowl halftime show. Getting ready for this whole thing. Mojo in the mornings, Dirty on the 30. Alright, what's going on, Shannon? The Dirty on the 30. Alright,

02:46:43 - 02:47:13 | Speaker 5:

so there were a ton. I thought the Grammy Awards, I said this earlier in the show, but I'll say it again. I thought it was one of the best award shows I've watched in a really, really long time. I just thought it was very entertaining, very well produced. Lots of standout performances. Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims, Benson Boone was flipping all over the place. Chapel Roan doing Pink Pony Club on top of that big pink pony. The clowns freaked me. Not even the clowns.

02:47:14 - 02:47:24 | Speaker 6:

My favorite part about Chapel Roan throughout the night was everybody was asking her what she was going to perform and Gayle King did and she said, I'll give you a hint. There's an animal in it. And Gail did not know what song it was going to be.

02:47:24 - 02:47:31 | Speaker 5:

She also took home the trophy in the toughest category of the night. It was just stacked. Best new artist.

02:47:31 - 02:47:50 | Speaker 1:

I told myself if I ever won a Grammy and I got to stand up here in front of the most powerful people in music, I would demand that labels and the industry profiting millions of dollars off of artists would offer a livable wage and health care, especially to developing artists.

02:47:51 - 02:48:04 | Speaker 5:

I want to give a huge shout-out to Dochi. She was just so overly emotional when she won the award for Best Rap Album. Here's part of her speech.

02:48:04 - 02:49:08 | Speaker 3:

This category was introduced in 1989, and two women have won. Lauryn Hill, three women have won. Lauryn Hill, Cardi B, and Dochi. i put my heart and my soul into this mixtape i bared my life i went through so much i dedicated myself to sobriety and god told me that i would be rewarded and that he would show me just how good it can get i know that there is some black girl out there so many black women out there that are watching me right now and i want to tell you you can do it anything is possible anything is possible don't allow don't allow anybody to project any stereotypes on you that tell you that you can't be here that you're too dark or that you're not smart enough or that you're too dramatic or you're too loud you are exactly who you need to be to be right where you

02:49:08 - 02:49:15 | Speaker 5:

are and i am a testimony party b presenting her with that award by the way it's black history

02:49:15 - 02:49:22 | Speaker 2:

month yeah beyonce winning the by the way she didn't mean saying yeah like yeah it's not

02:49:22 - 02:49:29 | Speaker 6:

no sorry yeah i agree with you it's black history month oh yeah yeah i heard i guess

02:49:29 - 02:49:40 | Speaker 4:

i'm blickety black and i'm black album of the year for cowboy carter there you go it's black

02:49:40 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 5:

History Month. That's right. Nice job. That's right. Taylor Swift, who left without any trophies, presented her with Country Album of the Year. That trophy earlier in the night. And I want to mention this while we're talking about Beyonce. She also did announce her Cowboy Carter tour on Instagram over the weekend. No Detroit date.

02:50:00 - 02:50:04 | Speaker 6:

on there yet but fingers crossed it's coming i mentioned this earlier this morning and it is

02:50:04 - 02:50:16 | Speaker 4:

true it it didn't trend everybody thought it was going to trend it did not trend on saturday night tour her tour because of the trade yeah that the mavs and the lakers pulled off yeah and if you

02:50:16 - 02:50:42 | Speaker 6:

did not hear about that i mean kev you said that this could quite possibly be the biggest trade ever in nba history the lakers anthony davis max christie and first round draft pick to the mavs in exchange for Luka Doncic, Max Kleber, and Markeith Morris in a three-year deal that also includes the Utah Jazz. And this, like, came out of nowhere. Mavs GM Nico Harrison talking about it.

02:50:42 - 02:51:00 | Speaker 1:

I don't do anything that's scary. I think everything that we do, we put a lot of work into it. We study it, and we restudy it, and we go back. And I understand the magnitude of it. So the easiest thing for me to do is do nothing, and everyone would praise me for doing nothing. But we really believe in it, and time will tell if I'm right.

02:51:00 - 02:51:06 | Speaker 6:

Going back to the Grammys last night, the Grammys even poked fun at, like, how this just came out of nowhere.

02:51:06 - 02:51:19 | Speaker 2:

During the break, I don't know how to say this, Trevor Noah was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. So I know this is a shock, but I am now your host.

02:51:19 - 02:51:45 | Speaker 4:

That guy, by the way, that GM from Dallas, is either going to look like a freaking genius if Luka Doncic, you know, continues to be like 300 pounds or whatever because he's gained a bunch of weight and, you know, he's been injured and stuff. If he's like nothing or he's going to be the biggest goat in the world, this is going to be like the Babe Ruth trade from back in the day, you know, that ended up the curse of the Bambino for the Mavs. I don't know.

02:51:45 - 02:52:02 | Speaker 6:

Selena Gomez lost almost a million followers on Instagram following that video she posted of herself crying about the ongoing deportation of illegal immigrants in the u.s yeah uh over 800 almost 900 000 at this point but a source saying followers did you see the dallas mavericks how

02:52:02 - 02:52:08 | Speaker 4:

many followers that those guys lost no trading luka donchich what was it kevin was over 700 000

02:52:08 - 02:52:45 | Speaker 6:

yeah wow by trading them so i remember i was like somebody told her to delete that because of like the video she posted next and the comments she made about it like you could tell she was kind of miffed and then somebody told me that she was worried she could rip um my god she could lose republican fans there we go who support her beauty brand rare and so it was like somebody in her business team that told her it would probably be smart to take it down and lastly jelly roll will be making his acting debut on that cbs show fire country in a couple of months have any of you guys ever seen that show? I only watched one show

02:52:45 - 02:52:49 | Speaker 4:

and that's Blue Bloods with Scott Mick. He and I have a new party.

02:52:49 - 02:52:55 | Speaker 6:

He's going to portray a hospital orderly named Noah. His episode airs April 11th, if you watch this.

02:52:55 - 02:53:00 | Speaker 3:

Hey, you know what else is happening April 11th? What? Oh, I know what somebody's going to say. Yeah, Jelly Roll.

02:53:01 - 02:53:16 | Speaker 4:

Hey, does your dad still watch Blue Bloods? I don't think so. No? No, I don't think so. That's such a good show. Is it? He's got a girlfriend now. Is he? You know what? Now that your dad's getting a little Yeah, they're binging The Bachelor together. He's not watching the TV shows anymore.

02:53:17 - 02:53:27 | Speaker 6:

02:53:27 - 02:53:42 | Speaker 5:

Do we still have a Dirty page? Do we still have a website? I don't even know if we have a website still. Hey, what's up, y'all? This is Jelly Roll, and you're listening to Mojo in the Morning. It's not a very good website ever since the company took it over. It used to be so good, man. Celebrity Dirt. Mojo website, do it again.

02:53:42 - 02:53:44 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:53:44 - 02:53:46 | Speaker 5:

The best website ever.

02:53:53 - 02:53:58 | Speaker 4:

So when did Wes, your husband, get home from his trip that he was on?

02:53:58 - 02:54:02 | Speaker 6:

He got home later on Friday night.

02:54:03 - 02:54:06 | Speaker 4:

Can I ask a question without upsetting him?

02:54:06 - 02:54:06 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

02:54:07 - 02:54:08 | Speaker 4:

It was a mission trip that he was on?

02:54:09 - 02:54:10 | Speaker 6:

It was, yeah.

02:54:10 - 02:54:24 | Speaker 4:

Allegedly. I saw the pictures from his mission trip, and I thought it seemed like he was on a guy's weekend with a bunch of buddies. I'm like, this guy is my guy. I think he wishes that's what it was.

02:54:25 - 02:54:29 | Speaker 6:

Oh, that's from one of the survivors. She started her own business. Yeah, it's a beautiful thing. Are you sure?

02:54:30 - 02:54:33 | Speaker 4:

Do we know? Did you do a look at his location to find out?

02:54:33 - 02:54:34 | Speaker 6:

I did.

02:54:34 - 02:54:44 | Speaker 4:

I'm telling you, not that I'm trying to call your husband a liar, But if we find out later in life that this guy might have some skeletons in his closet, we're going back to this date.

02:54:44 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 6:

He did a beautiful thing. So he was with an organization called Our Daughters International. And so the photo you saw of him getting his hair cut was a survivor of human trafficking. And part of the organization is they...

02:55:00 - 02:55:26 | Speaker 3:

provide restoration and healing but also equip these women who with skills to be able to live on and and find things that they love to do and create businesses for themselves a way to to you know have an income yeah and so that woman i don't know if he showed her face in in that photo but um that that is her that is her way of making money now what would you do continues her life if you

02:55:26 - 02:55:32 | Speaker 1:

found out though four or five years from now that i was right and he was actually at the aria in

02:55:32 - 02:55:38 | Speaker 3:

vegas and he was hanging out there i would have been like guess what mama gets a girls weekend now

02:55:38 - 02:55:50 | Speaker 1:

that would be my response i think something worse would be out of that one you'd be cutting off private parts off that one um so good so he's home now everything's good and you guys are home

02:55:50 - 02:56:40 | Speaker 3:

remember i told you he was coming home to like a whole bunch of sick kids and extra kids because I was watching my nieces so he gets home on Friday night and I'm like oh man I mean he is walking into like a lot happening well as it turned out the the baby my baby niece was already down for the night so she was in her crib and then Smith was at a friend's house and then Lucy and my other niece were watching a movie and so he and I were like trying to catch up a little bit and I thought I think I even mentioned this on Friday morning. I'm like, I thought we could make it until everybody went to bed and we went to bed to, you know, like do our thing. And we didn't. So I had to pretend that I was going to the bathroom and he snuck in the bathroom. Oh, my God. Oh, yeah.

02:56:40 - 02:56:44 | Speaker 1:

And that was his welcome home. You guys cannot keep your hands off each other.

02:56:45 - 02:56:46 | Speaker 2:

That's how you do it, Shannon. Yeah.

02:56:47 - 02:56:52 | Speaker 1:

So you guys pretend like kids, we have to go to the bathroom. You guys normally go to the bathroom together?

02:56:52 - 02:56:58 | Speaker 3:

No, they didn't know where he was at the time, and he was already in the bathroom. And I said to Luce, I said, Mom has to go to the bathroom.

02:56:58 - 02:57:01 | Speaker 1:

I have to wipe Wes.

02:57:01 - 02:57:04 | Speaker 3:

There's only one bathroom in my house that has a lock, too.

02:57:04 - 02:57:05 | Speaker 1:

Really? Yes.

02:57:05 - 02:57:09 | Speaker 3:

There are no rooms in my house that have locks except for this one bathroom.

02:57:09 - 02:57:21 | Speaker 1:

Is it a lock, which is probably good because then your kids don't lock themselves into the bathroom or something like that. It's good not to have the locks on it, but for you guys, it's not good. Is it one of those locks, like a sliding lock? Like those doors that pull out, like pocket doors?

02:57:21 - 02:57:25 | Speaker 3:

No, it's just like a little teeny tiny pin that you push in. And that's the lock.

02:57:25 - 02:57:34 | Speaker 1:

Your kids, are they smart enough yet? Because my kids figured this out, that you can stick like a dry cleaner hanger in through it. Probably.

02:57:35 - 02:57:56 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if they've picked that lock yet. But, and I even said this to Wes, this is risky because I never get to go to the bathroom by myself in my house. There is always a child, if I have the kids, there is always a child who is sitting in there with me because they want to talk or they don't want to be alone or whatever. It was a risky move.

02:57:56 - 02:58:05 | Speaker 1:

Where is, here's the question, where in your house is your sneak off for adult time area?

02:58:06 - 02:58:07 | Speaker 3:

Like if you're desperate, where are you going?

02:58:07 - 02:58:15 | Speaker 1:

Where is it that you guys, you know, try to hide off at so that you guys can actually mess around?

02:58:15 - 02:58:17 | Speaker 2:

You're talking about sex.

02:58:17 - 02:58:20 | Speaker 3:

I don't want to know because don't you guys just picture your parents doing this?

02:58:21 - 02:58:35 | Speaker 1:

Well, kind of. I wonder where our parents was. Like I wonder if my dad, they had a walk-in closet. Yep. And I think my dad used to use the walk-in closet because I would see clothes on the floor and stuff and they were very tidy people.

02:58:35 - 02:58:51 | Speaker 2:

That's what we used. We used the walk-in closet. Just if you needed a couple minutes. You just say like, hey, come here. I want to show you something real quick. Something like that to make you believe. Make it seem like you need their help. But there's not a lock there. You just got to go quick or something. It's risky.

02:58:52 - 02:59:01 | Speaker 1:

The people that I always think are the freaks are the parents that go up in their kids' rooms thinking that their kids are never up in their room anyway. They're always like, there's nothing fun in their rooms. I did that one time.

02:59:01 - 02:59:06 | Speaker 2:

No, that's so wrong. That's so wrong.

02:59:06 - 02:59:26 | Speaker 1:

we had oh no when i was a kid we had a place underneath the stairwell that we used to call our little toy area and i wonder it's funny thinking about that my dad used to love that room like it was like a he made it a room with a real door and stuff on it and we would throw all our toys in there wouldn't it be wild if that was like my parents oh i'm sure they had some fun

02:59:26 - 02:59:31 | Speaker 3:

in there what in the harry potter is wrong i don't think my parents honestly like they had six kids

02:59:31 - 03:00:14 | Speaker 1:

And I know we were Catholic, so they had lots of children. But I don't think they had lots of sex. Like, I think my dad was probably just having sex to have kids, and my mom, too. You think so? Yeah. They had sex six times. Like, I think so, because they never really did date nights with each other, because we had so many kids. I was the baby. So they never went. We went out Sunday. We would go out Sundays for dinner. That was it, occasionally. And we would go to a place called the Cozy Corner, which is like a Leo's corner. tony island type place and my i hated it as a kid because i'd have to sit there and wait till my dad ordered coffee and rice pudding it was for some reason it was always you had to have coffee and rice pudding and i never understood having coffee before you're going to bed like what that's all

03:00:14 - 03:00:18 | Speaker 4:

you go to that strip club that is an ice cream parlor but i swear it's the plush horse no we'd

03:00:18 - 03:00:55 | Speaker 1:

go we never tell me that's not a strip club no but no but here's the funniest thing the cozy corner was right by the plush horse the funniest no the funniest thing with my dad was i think my dad was sexually crazy because my dad was Cuban and I think he had that Latin blood and I used to remember seeing my dad smacking my mom's ass see it was smashing and I loved that like as a kid I thought that's awesome my dad like you know smacks her ass but I wasn't thinking of it sexually I was thinking of it like oh that's kind of cool you know it's like my dad's like good game you know you get like you see football players doing that I am the product

03:00:55 - 03:00:56 | Speaker 3:

of immaculate conception

03:00:56 - 03:01:03 | Speaker 1:

everybody hopes right um todd where's your place uh wes and shannon go to the bathroom together

03:01:03 - 03:01:22 | Speaker 4:

where do you guys go so um i go to the basement partly this basement was completely dirty messed up it took me two months to clean it and part of the reason was because i needed a place for privacy in the house wait for just you or for you and your private but find privacy yeah no you

03:01:22 - 03:01:33 | Speaker 1:

wanted privacy with your with your lady right exactly okay yeah so you go down to the basement so did you make the basement like a sex dungeon or something it's like a bat cave i got like

03:01:33 - 03:01:40 | Speaker 4:

monitors over here i got a bed i got i got a projector i got everything oh my god i want to

03:01:40 - 03:01:55 | Speaker 1:

make ownership of the entire basement when our kid when our kids were little and we had a guy come and finish our basement that was when that movie panic room was out i wanted a panic room just for private room like i wanted to be able to have something kind of fun there jody foster yeah

03:01:55 - 03:02:05 | Speaker 4:

that was nobody comes down the basement besides my one brother and now they're like irritated by me because this used to be their spot but i've taken it over i want to i want one of those locks

03:02:05 - 03:02:10 | Speaker 1:

on it that are heat seeking has to be your palm or something on it what's going on sparkle how

03:02:10 - 03:02:27 | Speaker 2:

you doing where's your place hey where's my place yeah where's the where's every room in the house Every single room in the house has to be christened. At least twice. Kids' room. Every room. She answered you.

03:02:28 - 03:02:31 | Speaker 1:

You have sex in every room of your house.

03:02:32 - 03:02:38 | Speaker 2:

Every room in the house has to be christened. I have to have sex in every room.

03:02:38 - 03:02:42 | Speaker 1:

I'm going through one by one. Okay. The bedroom?

03:02:43 - 03:02:50 | Speaker 2:

The bedroom. Every one of them is three. Yep. No. The laundry room.

03:02:50 - 03:02:52 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. How about the...

03:02:52 - 03:02:55 | Speaker 2:

The bathroom. The den. The den.

03:02:55 - 03:03:02 | Speaker 1:

How about the little room where your kids put all their coats and boots and things?

03:03:03 - 03:03:10 | Speaker 2:

So I guess that it's like the walk-in room. So it's like the, believe it or not, it's the war room. It's the kids.

03:03:10 - 03:03:14 | Speaker 1:

How about the room where the hot water heater is? Like that room.

03:03:14 - 03:03:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, all of them. The hot water room, where the hot water tank is, that's the laundry room. All course. On the top of the washing machine. Absolutely. On top of the deep freezer, yes. Oh, my God. Every room has to be christened. Yeah.

03:03:32 - 03:03:36 | Speaker 1:

Sparkle, what's your guy's name? Baby leg, Jay.

03:03:36 - 03:03:36 | Speaker 2:

Mike.

03:03:37 - 03:03:42 | Speaker 1:

Mike. So Sparkle and Mike going crazy in that room. How many kids do we have, Sparkle?

03:03:43 - 03:03:44 | Speaker 3:

Just two. Just two.

03:03:44 - 03:03:50 | Speaker 1:

didn't she say how do you have how do you guys not how do you guys not have more kids with all

03:03:50 - 03:04:02 | Speaker 2:

the sex that you guys are having believe it or not i wanted eight kids but i only had two but i i love sex and i love christening every room in the house even the hallway

03:04:02 - 03:04:07 | Speaker 3:

but why even the stairs okay i don't i don't blame you for the other spaces but i have to

03:04:07 - 03:04:28 | Speaker 2:

ask about respect in your children's spaces well it is respect so with the children bedrooms it's when we first went into the house and before they stuff got in there okay okay okay that's fair now since their stuff is in there no not so but before they stuff got in there had to christen

03:04:28 - 03:04:33 | Speaker 3:

every room like i want to know what parent tugs their child into a bed that they have been in

03:04:34 - 03:04:41 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I bet you a lunge. Hey, give Shannon some advice. What room is your favorite? Yeah, which one's your favorite?

03:04:43 - 03:04:45 | Speaker 2:

Of course my bedroom is my favorite. In the bathtub.

03:04:46 - 03:04:49 | Speaker 1:

In the bathtub. What about the washer? Is it a little uncomfortable?

03:04:51 - 03:04:56 | Speaker 2:

No, if it's not uncomfortable, you just got to sit on the tip of it and go forward. See, I can't do that.

03:04:56 - 03:04:56 | Speaker 3:

Mine are stacked.

03:04:57 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 1:

Mine are stacked. And she's got to...

03:05:00 - 03:05:04 | Speaker 2:

stack one. You imagine how high that would be. Do you, do you wait until it gets on the

03:05:04 - 03:05:11 | Speaker 1:

spin cycle and that's when you have it? No, not on the spin cycle. All right. Let's have

03:05:11 - 03:05:21 | Speaker 2:

Sparkle. Throw you off. Have Sparkle call more often. We love you. Oh, you know what you do? You do it when it's in the, the washing cycle and it goes, you know how it does that?

03:05:22 - 03:05:27 | Speaker 1:

Oh my God. Or the wrist cycle. That way it's calm so you can go for it. Right? There you

03:05:27 - 03:05:33 | Speaker 2:

go. We love you, Sparkle. Everybody should have sex like Sparkle has sex.

03:05:34 - 03:05:42 | Speaker 1:

WKQI Detroit WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids WVKS Toledo This is Mojo in the Morning.

03:05:42 - 03:05:43 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

03:05:44 - 03:05:44 | Speaker 1:

Live.

03:05:50 - 03:08:35 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning. You know what I want to do? I want to I want to mention this again. I didn't mention this, or I mentioned it earlier, but we didn't have time to take calls. Can I go back to a topic I talked about earlier this morning about the hot Lithuanian girls that were sitting next to us? Yeah. What's up with women from Lithuania? Lithuania. Isn't that where they're from? Lithuania. Lithuania? That's where the foreign Lutherans are for. Is that where? Lithuania. I went out with Anthony Laverde on Friday. What's up, Anthony? And we had a great time and we met these uh these we met a whole bunch of people i met like a a group of guys that were uh hanging out together at the bathroom it was kind of fun these guys were all together celebrating one of their buddies who was getting married i think the one guy that's getting married name was dave because i said i said uh dave's giving up the dick that was what i said to him no it was at a restaurant called wilders which is amazing oh my god this place was so good And then we sat next to these two very attractive people, and I'll bring this topic up one more time. So I mentioned earlier this morning how it was snowing really bad on Friday, and the weather was horrible. And if you live anywhere, I'm assuming within our listening area it was like this, but Oakland County specifically and then all the way downtown. I drove to the Pistons game and felt like I was sliding off the road. But these two were telling us how they walked to the restaurant and they started off at a, in Birmingham, for those who don't know, is kind of like a town where there's a whole bunch of restaurants and businesses and bars. And a lot of people will walk from restaurant to restaurant there. But in the winter time, you're walking down a hill coming down and they were talking and they were dressed like, you know, in outfits, crazy outfits. And so they said that they were walking down and they almost slid all the way down and they were going to take an uber but can you call an uber to drive you like two blocks oh yeah yeah they would take you two blocks yeah so they were talking about how they were going to go walk back to where they came from and how they were sliding around lutherania and they're gonna they were gonna drive yeah back to lutherania but it brought up an interesting thing if you see somebody walking down the street like if you see two women walking down the street as a guy would it be gentlemanly if you pulled over and said hey I'll give you a ride to where you're going in the middle of a snowstorm no because if it's raining outside and you see somebody walking on the side of the road I feel like I would want somebody to stop and say are you okay or can I help you out Or do you look like you're a freak by doing that? Like, does it look bad?

03:08:35 - 03:08:41 | Speaker 3:

But wait a second. Did it, did, I, didn't you talk to them inside the restaurant?

03:08:41 - 03:08:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, we talked to them in the restaurant.

03:08:42 - 03:08:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

03:08:42 - 03:08:49 | Speaker 2:

So they said that they walked all the way down and then they were going to leave and go walk all the way back. They were going to walk because they didn't think they could get an Uber back.

03:08:49 - 03:08:51 | Speaker 3:

Did they ask you to drive them?

03:08:51 - 03:08:56 | Speaker 2:

No, no. No, they didn't ask at all, but they did say, they did say that they noticed.

03:08:56 - 03:08:59 | Speaker 3:

They were inadvertently trying to ask you guys for a ride home.

03:08:59 - 03:09:10 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I don't think so. I don't necessarily think so. But they did say that people were driving by them as they were walking down the street and nobody was stopping as they were, like, falling and stuff like that.

03:09:10 - 03:09:16 | Speaker 3:

You know the people that stop want to murder you, right? I feel bad saying this, but I wouldn't have stopped.

03:09:16 - 03:09:17 | Speaker 2:

No.

03:09:17 - 03:09:20 | Speaker 3:

I would not have stopped. Whether it was guys or girls. No.

03:09:20 - 03:09:33 | Speaker 2:

If you saw a mother and children walking and it was bad weather, it was either raining, thundering, or snowing. That's your options. Snow, you'd say no way. You can deal with snow. But what about thundering and raining?

03:09:33 - 03:09:35 | Speaker 3:

I don't think I would stop.

03:09:35 - 03:09:36 | Speaker 2:

You wouldn't stop for anything?

03:09:36 - 03:09:48 | Speaker 3:

If that makes me a bad person, I just don't think I would stop. I don't know. You don't know that person? You don't know what state they're in? And to put yourself in a very confined space is so scary to me.

03:09:48 - 03:09:57 | Speaker 1:

If I saw a woman and some children, I probably would roll down the window and say, y'all good? Like, y'all all right? And then...

03:09:57 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 3:

I've been in that situation.

03:09:59 - 03:10:10 | Speaker 1:

It's a cliche. I would lend to me. Puff in a stroller in the middle. I'm talking a downpour. And actually, I did. And I was a couple of blocks from my house. I did call an Uber because it was like so bad.

03:10:10 - 03:10:19 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Yeah. But I don't know. I just, first off, I would think that an Uber, if he saw that he was driving you up the block. And I had a stroller with me.

03:10:19 - 03:10:26 | Speaker 1:

So I had to get like an Uber XL so I could throw the stroller in the back. I'll never forget that. Smith was a baby. I had Lucy with me.

03:10:26 - 03:10:50 | Speaker 6:

Where's the, uh, do we have the number of the, the, uh, the, uh, as Kevin called her, uh, black as hell. Yeah. Black as hell. Chloe, that Uber driver, they called us up last week. I want to know what's the shortest drive you ever took somebody on, because I want to know if somebody called you just to take you a block, would you be like, Oh, I've taken some short ones.

03:10:50 - 03:10:59 | Speaker 5:

Have you? I've taken some real short ones in downtown Toledo on a bar night. Yeah, absolutely. I'm talking like literally football field length away. Really? Oh, yeah.

03:10:59 - 03:11:45 | Speaker 6:

We were in Chicago. Chelsea and I were in Chicago, and we asked the driver to take us to a place. We did not know where it was. Somebody said, hey, you know, you should try this place. I can't remember what the hell the name was. I don't even think it's there anymore. And we took it from the hotel, and it was a cab. And the cab driver said, you've got to get out. I'm not giving you a ride that short. They actually said to us, because it's not like, I think, an Uber situation where Uber probably has like a set fee. The cab driver just puts it on there. It says on the, you know, you got two people in the car. It starts at $1.50 or whatever the heck it is or however much it is. I haven't been in a cab in a long time. I just do nothing but Ubers or Lyfts. But they were like, no, it's too short. And we had to get out. We didn't realize how close it was, though. Stacey, what's up? How are you doing?

03:11:46 - 03:11:48 | Speaker 2:

Hey, guys. How are you? Good morning. Good morning.

03:11:48 - 03:12:05 | Speaker 6:

What's going on? Hold on. Stop for a second. Stop for a second. We had to pick up Stacey and she said, oh, spit. But nobody caught that one. Right off the bat. Okay, Stacey, we're talking about, you know, taking short Ubers or when you're stuck walking in bad weather. What's up?

03:12:07 - 03:13:00 | Speaker 2:

So I was driving around like a shopping complex one time and I saw this lady kind of hiding in a corner with her child. It was probably like three or four. they were in a one shaded spot because it was like 95 degrees out and I pulled up to her and I said I was like can I please give you a ride and she just looked at me I said I have a car seat in the back it's my son you know put your son in there I said just please let me take you wherever you need to go and she goes well I have to go like 20 minutes away I said I said no just get in my car I promise you I identified myself completely and she just looked at me I said you can trust me, I promise. So I took her wherever she needed to go, and she kept trying to pay me and kept trying to pay me. I just, I felt so bad for her. And she was sweating. Her baby was sweating. You know, I don't think everybody is out to get you. Yeah. You know? It's too bad. You just have to learn to trust people sometimes.

03:13:00 - 03:13:04 | Speaker 5:

Not everybody's out to get you, but if one is, you're screwed. You're got it.

03:13:04 - 03:13:10 | Speaker 2:

You're going to find out. What she didn't know is I also have a CPL, and I was carrying. Oh, you was ready.

03:13:10 - 03:13:21 | Speaker 6:

I had a little different. That's a little different. Don't mess with her, man. She's raring and ready to go. You F with Stacey, you get the gun. What's going on, Bethany?

03:13:23 - 03:13:35 | Speaker 4:

Well, I picked up some hitchhikers in my day. One of the times was when I was climbing down. There were some hot guys carrying a 30-pack, so we pulled over and we let them in. So you did not.

03:13:35 - 03:13:38 | Speaker 6:

You saw a guy carrying a 30-pack and you thought he was safe.

03:13:39 - 03:13:39 | Speaker 4:

There were two guys.

03:13:39 - 03:13:44 | Speaker 6:

Two guys. Two guys with a 30-pack. Come on in. Did they offer you any?

03:13:44 - 03:13:44 | Unknown:

Oh, yeah.

03:13:45 - 03:13:50 | Speaker 4:

Um, I don't remember. They brought 30. They left with 28.

03:13:51 - 03:13:55 | Speaker 6:

But you were safe at least. Dominique, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi, Dominique.

03:13:56 - 03:14:17 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Mojo. I did want to comment. I did pick up a mother and daughter. I'm actually Ubering now. And it was probably like 22 degrees outside. And I picked up her, her child, and her nose was running. And I took them probably a good 30 minutes away.

03:14:17 - 03:14:18 | Speaker 6:

Oh, you're sweet.

03:14:18 - 03:14:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, wow.

03:14:19 - 03:14:21 | Speaker 6:

So you felt bad for them, so you pulled over.

03:14:21 - 03:14:39 | Speaker 3:

And my baby in the car. So I was super nervous because I had my Tyler at the time. And I was like, well, her nose is running. I have to. Two days later, I ended up buying the little girl a whole coat and scarf and hat because she didn't have anything. Dominique, you are an angel. You know what you are? Seriously. You're a good person with a good heart.

03:14:39 - 03:14:55 | Speaker 6:

You're going right to heaven. We're all going to hell. You're going to heaven. Be the church. That is sweet to do that. Honestly, it's weird that we can't trust anybody anymore. But you can't. I know, but in that case, you've got a mom and a kid. What are they going to do to you? What's up, Marvin? How you doing?

03:14:56 - 03:14:58 | Speaker 4:

Hey, what's going on, guys?

03:14:58 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Marvin. What's up?

03:14:59 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 6:

This is Marvin.

03:15:00 - 03:15:01 | Speaker 1:

Marvin, our buddy, the driver.

03:15:01 - 03:15:06 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah, Marvin? Yeah, yeah. Y'all don't call me, man. Y'all these overdrivers or something. Never call me.

03:15:06 - 03:15:13 | Speaker 1:

No, no, no. We'll call you for a ride. Marvin, what's the shortest ride that somebody's ever asked you for in bad weather?

03:15:14 - 03:15:15 | Speaker 5:

Not even a minute.

03:15:16 - 03:15:16 | Speaker 1:

Really?

03:15:17 - 03:15:19 | Speaker 5:

Just from one corner to another corner.

03:15:19 - 03:15:22 | Speaker 1:

And you're okay with that? Like, what kind of money do you make off of that?

03:15:22 - 03:15:47 | Speaker 5:

Because you don't make nothing. You don't make anything. And I was just telling Lydia, I was like, I picked somebody up the other day. and took them home, and they got out and fell on the ice. Oh, jeez. I had to help them in because they just fell. They were just laying there. I was like, you okay? And they don't say nothing, so I got out and picked them up and walked them in the house. Yeah, it was just icy the other day.

03:15:47 - 03:15:59 | Speaker 2:

Okay, but now am I crazy because I feel like everybody, well, I shouldn't say everybody, I tip $5 minimum for an Uber ride. So if I'm giving you a short ride, wouldn't you want $5 just for the block or two?

03:16:00 - 03:16:06 | Speaker 5:

You don't get $5. People think that. If you do a regular ride, you might get $3.

03:16:06 - 03:16:08 | Speaker 2:

But if I say $5 in the app, you don't get $5?

03:16:10 - 03:16:10 | Speaker 5:

No.

03:16:11 - 03:16:12 | Speaker 2:

Wait.

03:16:12 - 03:16:15 | Speaker 1:

You can tip ahead of time on the app? No, you can tip after.

03:16:15 - 03:16:23 | Speaker 5:

You get the tip. You can get the tip, but the drive, you only get a certain amount. Okay. If it's a short ride, you only get paid that short distance.

03:16:24 - 03:16:28 | Speaker 1:

You should tell them what you're going to tip them right off the bat, and you might get better service. Okay, wait.

03:16:28 - 03:16:33 | Speaker 6:

So confirm that again, Marvin. So 100% of the tip that we leave goes to you, if it's Uber or Lyft? Yes. Okay.

03:16:33 - 03:16:47 | Speaker 5:

Wow. But the thing is, too, is you can drive four or five minutes to do a one-minute ride. Or it could be longer, so you don't never know. They'll just chime you. It's up to you to accept it. But that's how it works.

03:16:47 - 03:16:51 | Speaker 1:

Marvin, listen to the DJs. DJ, you took a guy how short of a distance?

03:16:52 - 03:17:01 | Speaker 4:

It was not even a mile. It was like maybe .4. It was D-Dubs in Royal Oak on Main Street. I took it to that hotel just on the other side of the movie theater.

03:17:01 - 03:17:02 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

03:17:02 - 03:17:16 | Speaker 4:

I got $3 from Uber. I took it reluctantly, but he gave me a $100 tip because he was like, look, man, I really didn't want to have to walk, and I know this was out of your way, so I really appreciate it. And I was like, you know what, man? You call me every time.

03:17:17 - 03:17:17 | Speaker 1:

Was it bad weather?

03:17:19 - 03:17:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it was raining. It wasn't snowing. It was raining really bad.

03:17:23 - 03:17:32 | Speaker 1:

That's a guy, man. And at that point right there, I'd be like, listen, buddy, you're going to either spend it on me or spend it on the strip club or something. That's a lot of money.

03:17:32 - 03:17:33 | Speaker 4:

Call me every time.

03:17:33 - 03:17:40 | Speaker 1:

That's cool. Marvin, poor Marvin got, all he got was 20 from us driving. I feel bad, Marvin. I'm sorry. I apologize.

03:17:41 - 03:17:43 | Speaker 6:

And some entertainment. Yeah.

03:17:43 - 03:17:47 | Speaker 1:

And a lot of questioning. Yeah. See that? Now we're friends. We're good friends.

03:17:48 - 03:17:53 | Speaker 5:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the morning.

03:18:28 - 03:18:36 | Speaker 1:

Why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? Maddie went on a date. She met a guy that she really, really liked. Maddie, how you doing?

03:18:38 - 03:18:42 | Speaker 3:

Hi. I'm doing good. How are you?

03:18:42 - 03:19:02 | Speaker 1:

Good. Is this tough for you to do? Because I always wonder, whenever we have people that want to be on second date update or War of the Roses, just how difficult it is to tell somebody that you are not getting something like you're, you're not getting a call back from the person that you went on a date with.

03:19:05 - 03:19:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. It's frustrating.

03:19:08 - 03:19:26 | Speaker 1:

And the girl that you went on a date with, you said that you really, really liked, you guys had a lot of chemistry you guys even fooled around with each other or am i mistaken when i had heard this you guys might have messed around a little bit

03:19:26 - 03:19:41 | Speaker 3:

um yeah uh we did she yeah she's been inside of my house now and it just feels super vulnerable

03:19:42 - 03:19:48 | Speaker 1:

Okay, we're going to find out what's going on. Taylor is on the phone with us right now. Taylor, say hello to Maddie.

03:19:49 - 03:19:53 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Hi.

03:19:54 - 03:20:05 | Speaker 1:

So, Taylor, Maddie was contacting the Mojo in the morning. show here and uh our second date update try to find out why she's not getting a call back from

03:20:05 - 03:20:30 | Speaker 2:

you was everything okay um uh yeah um yeah i mean our the date was fine i just like um yeah like i i went to her instagram to like just just check her out and and and she just like knows too many of the people that i know so i i was like i don't know you guys didn't figure that

03:20:30 - 03:20:39 | Speaker 3:

out on your date when you were talking that's why you stopped talking to me that just doesn't

03:20:39 - 03:20:57 | Speaker 2:

seem like that adds up i i mean it yeah it like came up i just i don't know there there was too many mutuals and i just kind of realized like she she reminds me of my sister

03:20:57 - 03:21:06 | Speaker 1:

so wait so what like what reminds you maddie reminds you of your sister looks wise or the

03:21:06 - 03:21:33 | Speaker 2:

way that she acts or what or both it's it's mostly like the way that she she acts i guess Like, there's kind of the same mannerisms, and I noticed it while we were on the date, and she was talking, and she just has, like, a similar voice and, like, hobbies and stuff. I thought, okay, that's not weird or anything, but it's something that I just noticed.

03:21:35 - 03:21:45 | Speaker 1:

Is your sister somebody that you like or don't like? is or is it just or is it weird that you're going out with somebody and they they remind you your

03:21:45 - 03:21:58 | Speaker 3:

sister because i mean i guess i get that piece of it well wait so if she looks this is two different things or are they connected i thought it was a compliment how old is your sister you sound six

03:21:58 - 03:22:43 | Speaker 2:

no i just like i i um so when i was when i was looking through the instagram i just i noticed that it's not like the hobbies and everything like that's fine it's just that i noticed that she graduated the same year as my sister okay and like went on the same senior trip with similar like the friends that she was with looked the same and i just i couldn't i couldn't get it out of my mind i was like i i noticed it and that wouldn't and when we were we had hooked up after the date and i just couldn't get all of that out of my mind i was like i don't want to be thinking about my sister when i'm having sex with someone and i couldn't i just couldn't stop thinking about

03:22:43 - 03:22:53 | Speaker 1:

the similarities and it was but you didn't notice that before you guys hooked up like i don't understand this so you you guys end up having you guys had sex with each other or just it was

03:22:53 - 03:22:59 | Speaker 2:

yeah we did we did and i just i noticed the similarities during the date and was like why

03:22:59 - 03:23:11 | Speaker 1:

can't i get this out of my mind but yet you guys still you still went back to her place and then you guys still hooked up even though you felt like this is somebody that reminds me of my sister

03:23:11 - 03:23:35 | Speaker 2:

yeah i knew that before i took my clothes off well no it was like a it was like i i i saw some similarities during the date and it wasn't until after that i looked at the instagram and i was like oh that's why i was thinking of it and so when i when i put more pieces of the puzzle together I was like, I don't think I could, I don't think I can do this again.

03:23:35 - 03:24:17 | Speaker 1:

Is it weird that a person reminds you of somebody that you know and a person you know is your family member? Because, I mean, there's sometimes there's things people depend, but I mean, does she look like her? I mean, if she looks exactly like her or reminds you of them is a totally different story. And if it's just they remind me of them. I mean, God, my wife, Chelsea, reminds me of my mom and how great of a person my mom was. And that's why I ended up marrying her. Maddie?

03:24:19 - 03:24:22 | Speaker 3:

Yes, hi. Your sister sounds like that?

03:24:22 - 03:24:24 | Speaker 1:

Your sister has the same type of sound?

03:24:25 - 03:24:37 | Speaker 2:

Kind of. It's like this. I mean, respectfully, there's like a little bit of like the vocal fry. And my little sister does that, too. And I was like, oh, my God, this this is eerie.

03:24:39 - 03:24:45 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Maddie, how are you feeling about this? And she didn't bring this up at all with you on your date, did she?

03:24:45 - 03:25:09 | Speaker 3:

Um, yeah, I mean, I'm really bummed. Like, I obviously can't help the way I sound or, you know, like that's how I act or what I, you know, like I, I kind of like the way she sounds to me. You like the vulgar fry? I like she's got a low-sounding voice or a soft-speaking voice. What's up, Jessica? What do you want to say about this, Jess?

03:25:10 - 03:25:16 | Speaker 6:

I was saying Maddie, run. She's making excuses already.

03:25:16 - 03:25:17 | Speaker 3:

That's what I think.

03:25:17 - 03:25:32 | Speaker 6:

And she wasn't warm enough to tell you in the first place. The first excuse was you guys have too many mutual friends. That's weird. Who cares? Grow up. The second one was she reminded her too much of her sister.

03:25:34 - 03:25:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

03:25:34 - 03:25:37 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, run. She's making too many excuses.

03:25:37 - 03:25:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she's looking for outs on this one here. She's doing too much investigating. What's up, Sean?

03:25:42 - 03:25:44 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I just think she don't like her.

03:25:45 - 03:25:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

03:25:46 - 03:25:54 | Speaker 5:

Or she just wanted to have sex with her, and she did it, and I thought, you know, it's done, and she just don't want to be bothered no more.

03:25:54 - 03:26:00 | Speaker 3:

It's nice to know, though, that women do this. Because, you know, you hear the guys all the time that just wanted to have sex and then they move on.

03:26:00 - 03:26:01 | Speaker 5:

We are the same.

03:26:02 - 03:26:02 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

03:26:02 - 03:26:10 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so either she just wanted to have sex and move on or the sex was trash and that's why she moved on. But she just don't want to be bothered.

03:26:10 - 03:26:23 | Speaker 3:

Taylor, not to make you, you know, have to admit to any of those, but could it be any of those? Those last couple of callers with you're just making excuses and then, you know, maybe you just wanted sex

03:26:23 - 03:26:55 | Speaker 1:

and that was all you were looking for listen i i i i understand what people are saying i i 100 can say like i was not using anyone for sex like that's not who i am but i i definitely feel overwhelmed and and kind of uh uh put on the spot here yeah so okay yeah so and you know i i i don't know well then no just just not using anyone for for sex i promise okay then let me see what other

03:26:55 - 03:26:59 | Speaker 3:

listeners i can put you on hold so you don't have to deal with this but matt what's up matt what do

03:26:59 - 03:27:06 | Speaker 4:

you want to say mojo first time long time matt hold on a second yeah matt you sound like my

03:27:06 - 03:27:12 | Speaker 3:

brother we're not having sex with each other what's going on well first before i say it

03:27:12 - 03:27:18 | Speaker 4:

my comment too i'm born and raised in detroit now i live in south carolina i can't stop listening to Oh, my God, thank you.

03:27:18 - 03:27:22 | Speaker 3:

A part of South Carolina, because I've always wanted to go to South Carolina. Is it beautiful?

03:27:22 - 03:27:23 | Speaker 4:

I live in Myrtle Beach.

03:27:23 - 03:27:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you son of a bitch.

03:27:26 - 03:27:26 | Unknown:

Yeah.

03:27:27 - 03:27:37 | Speaker 4:

But I wanted to say, I think that that girl, I think that girl just wanted to hit it and quit it, man. That's all she was interested in. Well, that's what everybody's texting. And then she laughs.

03:27:38 - 03:27:42 | Speaker 3:

It's nice to know, though, isn't it, that girls do that, too, you know?

03:27:42 - 03:27:43 | Speaker 4:

I guess why not just be up front?

03:27:44 - 03:27:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, just say.

03:27:45 - 03:27:46 | Speaker 5:

Be up front? Just be up front.

03:27:46 - 03:27:54 | Speaker 3:

Because then you might lose the opportunity, though. We're coming down to Myrtle Beach, and we're staying with Matt. What's going on? Listener Shannon on the phone with us. What's up, Shannon?

03:27:55 - 03:28:03 | Speaker 7:

What is up? Shannon's in the house. That's right. My name's Shannon. All hail to all the Shannons in the world. Yay!

03:28:05 - 03:28:06 | Speaker 3:

What are your thoughts?

03:28:07 - 03:28:38 | Speaker 8:

My thought is she wanted to have sex. She did. She was horny or something. because I went on a date years ago with a guy that looked like my brother. I didn't know he looked like my brother's a blind date. And he even had my brother's name, and there was no... I could not finish the date. I kept looking at him like, oh, my God, this is my brother. This is my brother. Brother. There was no way. I'm definitely not having sex with someone that looks like my brother. I'm sorry.

03:28:38 - 03:28:40 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, it looks as different than behavior, though.

03:28:40 - 03:28:51 | Speaker 3:

Did you guys kiss? No. Yeah, that would have been. Could you imagine? He would kiss like my brother. That would be a weird thing to say. I wouldn't know what to do. Thank you.

03:28:51 - 03:28:53 | Speaker 7:

My brother kisses me on the top of the head.

03:28:53 - 03:29:10 | Speaker 3:

Okay. All right. Thanks for the call. That would be the weird. By the way, you really want to mess with somebody? Shannon, try this with Wes. Say, for some reason, you kiss like my dad or my, you know, because you're my own brother or something. Why would you ever say that? Just watch the look on his face. Watch the look on his face.

03:29:10 - 03:29:21 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, he loves my dad so much. She'd be like, oh, it wasn't happening. This is the home of the dirty on the 30. Throwback Throwdown, Second Date Update, and War of the Roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them so when they don't know that i'm their resource that explain and show them that
