You're a doo-doo hat. Here we go, go, go.

00:02:06 - 00:02:54 | Unknown:

Here we go, go, go. It's showtime! We'll be right back.

00:02:54 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 7:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. The calm before the storm. We are expecting to have a little bit of an ice storm. I think it's going to really affect the Detroit and Toledo areas. But they're saying tonight starting at 10 o'clock at night or thereafter and then into tomorrow, we could see some freezing rain and then we'll sweep across the north and northeast. We'll keep you informed on that.

00:03:28 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 1:

We're going to be sledding to work tomorrow.

00:03:30 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 7:

I think we're going to be ice skating. I think that's probably going to be the worst one. I don't know. It's going to be one of those ones. Do you phone it in from home or do you come downtown and try to stay down? I was trying to decide that. I was trying to see if maybe a Kev would let me sleep at his

00:03:46 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 3:

place tonight. I was genuinely wondering if I should walk tomorrow to work.

00:03:51 - 00:03:56 | Speaker 7:

No. Why would you do that? That's a long drive. You will fall on your butt. Your walk, that is not a

00:03:56 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 3:

close walk. It's less than a mile.

00:03:58 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 7:

No way. Yeah. It is? Yeah. Have you done that walk? Not in the morning. Because you're walking across freeways. I can't. No. Aren't you walking across a highway there? No. Are you serious? She doesn't have to, I don't think. No. Really? Oh, wow. I don't know what your route would be. To me, I never know. I always put it on whenever from in uh detroit or toledo or grand rapids i put the maps on my phone and then i realized that my phone service doesn't give me access around some of the bigger buildings and i'm like walking

00:04:27 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 3:

in circles for about an hour or so so i'm trying not to give away like where i live but you guys know if it's less than a mile from the station well yeah but i go around where the christmas tree is in downtown detroit so around capitol park right yeah it was one marches and then i go Kind of by Greektown, so right where the Peach Cobbler Factory is. And I take that road. I don't know any street names. Not in Toledo, not in Detroit. I'm a landmark kind of person. And then I take that road all the way down to Eastern Market.

00:04:58 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 1:

I don't love you walking through Greektown in the middle of the night. I'm that way, by the way, in the suburbs. I do that. Take a right at the Wendy's, go down to the Culver's stop, and there's a closed-down dry cleaner.

00:05:09 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 2:

Megan, I'm so glad you jumped in there because I didn't have to respond to Mojo accent if he could stay over there. Because what's the answer? No, I think KP needs a ride with her ankles, so I prefer you stay there.

00:05:21 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 1:

I've got to be honest with you, Kevin. You're not a friend. I thought you'd be a friend. You're not a friend.

00:05:26 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 4:

Are we just learning this?

00:05:27 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 1:

Who has been friendly to you? Me. Who's taken you as my plus one to two Lions games this year? Only two? I thought it was more. I think it was two. I think it was two. Took you two. Actually, maybe, no, Gabara took you to one of them. Yeah. But that's all right. That's okay. I'll die on the lodge because I will die for the show.

00:05:49 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 2:

I'll have the best funeral speech for you.

00:05:51 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 1:

And by the way, to go to answer Megan's question, There ain't no way I am walking through Greektown at 3, 45, or 4 o'clock in the morning. It's not that bad.

00:06:00 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 4:

It's not that bad. I don't know why.

00:06:02 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 1:

I'm not. There's no way. Don't judge it off the news. I wouldn't even do it with Trump's Secret Service.

00:06:09 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 4:

Actually, we had a singles party there.

00:06:12 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 1:

How long ago was that?

00:06:14 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 4:

How long ago was that, truly?

00:06:16 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 1:

There's no way.

00:06:17 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 4:

Four or five years ago? No, it was longer than that. I've never been to a singles party in Greektown.

00:06:20 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 1:

You got to see me.

00:06:21 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 2:

YouTube says it was 14 years ago.

00:06:23 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 1:

You got to see me when I'm trying to walk from the corner parking lot to here, man. I run as fast as I can. Oh, my God.

00:06:30 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 4:

Y'all are so dramatic.

00:06:34 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 1:

All right. So it's Mojo in the Morning Show. We got a good one for you today. Lydia was just telling me that Dank DeMoss is coming in studio today. Now say to yourself, who's Dank DeMoss? Well, she made herself famous or became famous because the Lyft driver wouldn't let her in the back of his Lyft. or he says, I guess it wasn't he wouldn't, he said to her, you won't fit into the back. She's going to come in this morning to tell us the full story and be live in person with us this morning. So that should be kind of fun.

00:07:04 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 2:

I can't wait to meet her and talk to her.

00:07:06 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 1:

Ever since, by the way, this happened, any time that I have ever thought that I want to take a Lyft or an Uber, all I keep thinking is, do I have to order an XL now? Has any of you guys ever now think about that? Although you don't have to think about that, Shannon, But I think about this all the time. Like, do I just go for the XL? Because what happens if they pull up in a little, like, Kia? And I got to get my fat ass in the back of the little Kia.

00:07:30 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 3:

You can't say that about yourself anymore, by the way.

00:07:32 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 1:

I know. You skinny. I know. And I'm 6'3". That's probably the other thing, too, is getting 6'3 legs in there.

00:07:37 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 4:

Now, that I'll give you, but you acting like you're so big you can't fit into places.

00:07:42 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 1:

I'm not as big, but I'm still a big man. I'm still double X, so.

00:07:46 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 4:

I had to take an Uber last night. I was so mad about it. First of all, can I just say, if you drive around downtown Detroit and you block the queue, I hate you. I hate you so much it's not funny because that should be a more convenient thing to do because I had to take the queue on the way home because of how bad this Uber experience was on the way there. And that's because I got picked up last night and my driver, unannounced, just pulled into a drive-thru, ordered himself food, didn't ask if I want anything, and then continued on our way. Oh, I'd be mad. I was, first of all, living. I mean, what am I going to do? I'm hostage in the back seat.

00:08:26 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 1:

I thought they had to go point A to point B. I can't believe they can stop off and do that. I had one guy one time literally pull off to the side of the road to go drop something at somebody's house one time, and I reported him.

00:08:35 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 3:

No. You reported him? No.

00:08:36 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 1:

Years ago. I've talked about it on the radio, but the drive-thru, going through the drive-thru would be...

00:08:41 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 4:

And I was not only running late, which is why I called the Uber just in the first place. I think it's one thing if it's like two o'clock in the morning and we're all going home drunk from the bars. Like, we're not in a huge rush to get home. But also, if you're going to stop, ask me if I want anything. And all this man ordered was a McFlurry and nothing else. So it wasn't even like, I really need food. Like, it would be one thing. And I don't have diabetes. Maybe he was a diabetic and his sugar was dropping low. I don't know. But, like, I feel like you would get a burger or something if you really needed food. But to just stop for a treat and not order me a fry.

00:09:20 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 1:

Did he order it on the app and was, did he pull up to the window?

00:09:25 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 3:

Ordered at the speaker.

00:09:26 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 1:

Did he?

00:09:27 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Oh, I agree with you, Mojo. I feel like once you have a customer in your car, a passenger in your car, a paying passenger, you get them to their destination and then you run your errands.

00:09:38 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 2:

Yes. I had one guy stop over and get gas. And in my mind, I was like, why didn't you do that before you got me? And then I'm like, I'd rather you have gas than us. Right. I couldn't be mad.

00:09:49 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 4:

That happened to me, too, one time when I was heading to Pai Nob. He stopped for gas. It took 10 minutes.

00:09:53 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 2:

Wow.

00:09:53 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 4:

Right. Don't fill up. Please get whatever you need to give me where I need to go.

00:09:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

I'd like 20 on five.

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 5:

20 on 10.

00:10:03 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 4:

Lydia, see if any Uber or Lyft drivers are listening to the show right now. Is that possible that you guys can do that? Like, can you stop and pull over and 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, and go through a drive-thru of all things? Because they're charging, right? Yes. I've asked them to go through. I've asked, hey, if I bought you something, would you go through? And they've said yes, and they've actually been very kind about that. Yeah. Love that. The idea that he's going through, and then the idea that he didn't ask you if you wanted anything. By the way, maybe Dank DeMoss will share her tourney with you today. You could sue. Let's jump on. Let's have a lawsuit craziness here right now.

00:10:44 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 1:

Class action. Yeah. Has your driver ever not ordered for you?

00:10:48 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Could you imagine? By the way, we should call a press conference. Megan's calling a press conference today With Dank DeMoss next to her As her inspiration that she's going to sue What's up Thomas? How you doing buddy?

00:11:02 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 3:

Hey I'm great man

00:11:02 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 4:

How you doing? Good, what's going on? Do you think that this was right that the Uber driver went through McDonald's with Megan in the back?

00:11:09 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 3:

So I can top this I literally was on I'm in Grand Rapids, so shout out to the Rapid

00:11:14 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 4:

That's right, shout shout

00:11:16 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 3:

I'm literally on the bus headed to work and the driver stops the bus at the frickin' bus stop to run into, shout out to Cousins Tasty Chicken. But like, he stops the bus to go in and grab his food. And there's like, we're sitting on the bus waiting for the dude to come back. And I ended up being late for work.

00:11:45 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 4:

Oh my God. In public transportation, the bus. Did you guys ever see that movie Speed? Of course, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. Can you imagine if somebody gets behind that wheel and takes over that bus? I got to go to work.

00:12:00 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 5:

Okay, but on the queue on the way back, there are people who park in the lane and then you just have to sit behind it. I think your car should be able to get hit by the queue. What do they do? They sit there and they honk over and over and over again until the person comes out and moves their car.

00:12:17 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 4:

That's it. Shanita, what's up? Hi.

00:12:20 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 2:

good morning so yeah no as a driver we're not supposed to be stopping with you all in the car like i have had to stop and get gas but that's like on an emergency basis but to stop and get

00:12:32 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 4:

pooped that's wild man can you be written up for that like can you get yourself in trouble

00:12:37 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 2:

i mean if we get reported i'm sure some type of consequence i've been on the platforms for eight years i have never in eight years stopped and got mcdonald's or anything similar to that That's, like, wild. Like, you know that you guys are paying for us to stop when you stop. Right. Oh, yeah. I'm always, like, I'm always trying to be super nice. Like, if it's, like, nighttime and I'm out, I'll say, do you mind if I stop and throw a couple dollars in the tank? And if they're like, no, then I'm not going to do it. Yeah.

00:13:04 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 4:

I actually would be fine with you doing it only because at nighttime, I don't know if I want you going to the gas station by yourself. Same. But can I say this to you? I know how Megan is. She probably gave the guy four stars.

00:13:17 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 5:

I gave him a great review. Probably less of a tip, and I did still tip, but I tip really well.

00:13:25 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 2:

See, you shouldn't have tipped because, like, you got charged for him going through the drive-through.

00:13:31 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 1:

I know. So do you get charged if they stop? Because I feel like I see what I'm going to pay right when I confirm my ride. Like, it gives me the total, and I confirm it.

00:13:43 - 00:14:04 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so as a driver, I shouldn't tell you not to tip the driver because what you guys say is definitely not what we make. But to stop, that's so rude. It's just rude. Like, we have a look on both platforms. We're able to take breaks whenever we want to. It's so simple. We have buttons. We just click. Like, I'm out driving right now. Like, I could totally go into brake mode.

00:14:05 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 4:

Where are you at? Where are you driving?

00:14:08 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 2:

See, I'm in the D right now. I'm off of Sherwood and, like, Davidson. I'm in the hood.

00:14:11 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 4:

Okay. All right. Well, if you're ever in the Eastern Market area, come by and stop by and say hi. Yeah. All right?

00:14:17 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 2:

Well, certainly.

00:14:18 - 00:14:35 | Speaker 4:

We love you, Shanita. We'd love you to stop by. All right. I'm going to give Shanita's call a rating of, let's see. Can you imagine if we could rate callers and throw them tips? Oh. And we'd make great calls call. Oh, I'm our app. That'd be awesome. It's Mojo in the Morning's Back in the Day. Let's go.

00:14:35 - 00:14:37 | Speaker 3:

Back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:14:39 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 4:

Lance Armstrong. Remember that guy? The guy that liked to ride bicycles? Yellow bracelets? Yes. He admitted that he used performance-enhancing drugs in this year. Yes or no?

00:14:50 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

In all seven of your Tour de France victories, did you ever take banned substances or blood dope? Yes.

00:15:00 - 00:15:07 | Speaker 1:

I view this situation as one big lie that I repeated a lot of times.

00:15:08 - 00:15:10 | Speaker 7:

That's not what that drop is from, is it? Oh, okay. No, it's not.

00:15:11 - 00:15:14 | Speaker 3:

No, that was me putting it in there. Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock starred in The Heat.

00:15:14 - 00:15:19 | Speaker 6:

I'm a lady. Did I come and get them? No, no, it was a different lady. She was nice. I'm f***ing nice.

00:15:19 - 00:15:20 | Speaker 5:

Why was she nice to you?

00:15:21 - 00:15:22 | Speaker 6:

She made me give her the keys.

00:15:22 - 00:15:32 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to make you f***ing bend over, and I'm going to reach up your a** in your pocket and get the keys to your house, and then I'm going to drive there. Come in your front f***ing door and kill you in your sleep.

00:15:33 - 00:15:45 | Speaker 3:

And the big song was from Taylor Swift. What year was this? If you know it, we'll set you up with Monster Jam tickets. First crack follower now.

00:15:51 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 4:

Ooh.

00:15:54 - 00:15:56 | Unknown:

Trouble, trouble.

00:15:56 - 00:16:04 | Speaker 2:

00:16:32 - 00:16:39 | Speaker 3:

prizes it was the year lance armstrong got busted for performance enhancing drugs yes or no in all

00:16:39 - 00:16:47 | Speaker 5:

seven of your tour de france victories did you ever take banned substances or blood dope yes

00:16:47 - 00:16:55 | Speaker 1:

You know, I view this situation as one big lie. What? That I repeat it a lot of times.

00:16:56 - 00:16:57 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

00:16:59 - 00:17:05 | Speaker 3:

Melissa McCarthy. By the way, I almost hit the wrong drop there for a second there, and I almost did.

00:17:05 - 00:17:06 | Speaker 6:

Oh, you betcha, yeah.

00:17:06 - 00:17:07 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:17:07 - 00:17:08 | Speaker 3:

Both could have worked.

00:17:08 - 00:17:09 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah.

00:17:09 - 00:17:13 | Speaker 3:

This was the year that Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock starred in the heat.

00:17:13 - 00:17:18 | Speaker 6:

I'm a lady. Did I come and get them? No, no, it was a different lady. She was nice. I'm f***ing nice.

00:17:18 - 00:17:19 | Speaker 5:

Why was she nice to you?

00:17:19 - 00:17:20 | Speaker 6:

She made me give her the keys.

00:17:21 - 00:17:31 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to make you f***ing bend over, and I'm going to reach up your a** into your pocket and get the keys to your house. And then I'm going to drive there, come in your front f***ing door, and kill you in your sleep.

00:17:32 - 00:18:05 | Speaker 3:

We need her, by the way, to do a movie for us. Makes the world a better place, Melissa McCarthy. And the big song. I knew you were trouble. We need Taylor Swift to do, like, a worldwide tour. Don't you think so? I think she should make another country album. Not enough. It's true. Yes. Go back to her roots. Take over Beyonce's controversial win. Rich, what's going on, Rich? How's it going, Mojo? Doing fantastic. Rich, what year was that? 2013, baby.

00:18:08 - 00:18:16 | Speaker 4:

Congratulations. Hey, can I say first time on time? Yay! And I love you guys.

00:18:17 - 00:18:28 | Speaker 3:

You guys are so funny. You guys make my morning. Thank you, man. We appreciate you for everything. Congratulations. We're going to say, I'm a little too heavy. You're good though today.

00:18:28 - 00:18:31 | Speaker 5:

It sounds like that family guy bit where they do the radio station.

00:18:32 - 00:18:32 | Speaker 3:

Right.

00:19:17 - 00:19:19 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:19:19 - 00:19:27 | Speaker 3:

Shannon, what is going on in the Dirty on the 30? We're all wearing black today or no? No, just you and I. Yeah, just got the black attack going. What's happening?

00:19:27 - 00:19:54 | Speaker 7:

The Dallas Mavericks are supposedly offering refunds to fans who have canceled their season tickets in the wake of the trade. that sent superstar Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. Isn't that crazy? Mavs fans are understandably furious after that shocking trade. Hundreds have been protesting since Sunday outside of the American Airlines Center. Here's Luka, by the way.

00:19:54 - 00:20:13 | Speaker 1:

Then one of the reasons that was given was that there was concern that... You know, beyond this summer or that you there's a chance you might not agree to the supermax extension. Did anyone on did you or anyone on your inner circle indicate that that might be the case? Absolutely not.

00:20:14 - 00:20:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Lakers GM Rob Palenka sharing why this deal had to be kept so super quiet.

00:20:20 - 00:20:37 | Speaker 1:

When the concept was initially introduced to us, it was, hey, the only way we could even have these discussions was if it's between owner and GMs. And there was a commitment to that. And if we broke that commitment by talking to anyone else, this day would never happen.

00:20:37 - 00:21:02 | Speaker 5:

And for those who may not understand what the term supermax means, because that's a real sports term that, you know, average person probably doesn't get it. A Supermax means that whatever team that you're currently on, that team can offer you more money than any other team. So Luka, being on the Mavericks, had the ability to sign a Supermax what would have garnered him five years, almost $350 million. And another team couldn't have paid him that much money.

00:21:03 - 00:21:05 | Speaker 6:

And does that mean the Lakers will get that?

00:21:05 - 00:21:11 | Speaker 5:

So the Lakers can offer him a five-year contract, but it will be for around $145 million less.

00:21:11 - 00:21:43 | Speaker 6:

So because of the amount of years that you were with somebody or something like that, or what is it? Yeah. Interesting. This Luka thing, a lot of people thought was because Luka was fat. They said that he gained a bunch of weight. Shannon, they said that he was nearly 300 pounds, and he's a little guy. He's not a big guy. I think he might be my size. So imagine me out on a basketball court. Well, Luka's 6'8". Is he? Yeah. Is he 6'8"? Yeah, Luka's a tall guy. No, Luka's a tall guy. But I was going to say, imagine me in a basketball uniform. But here was Shaq, by the way, talking about that on TNT last night.

00:21:43 - 00:22:23 | Speaker 2:

6'6". Excuse me. He doesn't look out of shape to me. Like, I need to know what the term, when you say out of shape, is he fat? Does he have a six-pack? Does he not have, like, are we talking body fat? A lot of stories he's ballooned up to 270. Because one of my best friends just told me fat Luca is better than 99.9% of all the guards in the game. So, you know, in shape Luca, five years, first team NBA. Yeah, fat Luka or just out of shape Luka, first team All-NBA five years. So, you know, if that's the case, they let him go. But obviously, I would definitely have to blame management because there's better ways to handle that.

00:22:24 - 00:23:45 | Speaker 3:

An executive producer for the Grammys is addressing Kanye and his wife, Bianca Sensori's controversial red carpet moment from Sunday night. Raj Kapoor, who is an executive producer behind this year's show, said the dress code that was listed on guests' invitations, and kanye and bianca were invited the it was listed as artistic black tie and she's like well basically in the music industry though that's up for interpretation so there you go as for whether bianca is expected to face any sort of legal consequences for her outfit or lack of an outfit an investigation with the lapd has not been open so i'm guessing that's a no we can move on from that rumor but something else i heard while talking about this bianca tried to back out of wearing that outfit several times but kanye insisted that she go through with the look that she was planning on wearing she obviously ultimately agreed to wear what she wore and bear it all on the red carpet but a friend of her said she was initially very worried about exposing herself actually wanted to wear a dress like a pretty dress um but he really encouraged her to have that moment and make that statement and so that is i wonder where they get those sources

00:23:45 - 00:23:55 | Speaker 6:

from because those are glad you said it's interesting because to me it's like she seemed like she was perfectly fine with wearing like he did not seem like he was forcing her into that

00:23:55 - 00:24:16 | Speaker 4:

Not the impression I got. Really? No. Especially when you, like, a lot of Ripley, or Ripleyers, Ripleyers, believe it or not. Ripleyers were talking about what he was saying to her, and it was like, turn around, drop the jacket. Like, it was, I don't know. I think a lot of people would be more comfortable if she would come out and say anything about wanting to do it.

00:24:16 - 00:24:20 | Speaker 3:

Like, this is me expressing my creative freedom or, yeah. Yeah.

00:24:21 - 00:24:31 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. I just sit there and I think to myself, I'm like going, And, man, are people just trying to make him look like the bad guy? And she's the one that probably wants just as much fame as he does. I don't know.

00:24:31 - 00:24:32 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:24:33 - 00:24:34 | Speaker 6:

Cav, what are your thoughts? You don't want to say anything?

00:24:34 - 00:24:55 | Speaker 5:

You just had to ask me. No, I think it would make people feel more comfortable if she came out and said anything. But I think how she has shown her love for him and how they were all over each other at the after party. Yeah, I think it, like, shows that she's, she's, they're good, guys.

00:24:55 - 00:24:56 | Speaker 3:

She's fully on board. She is all into that.

00:24:57 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. It doesn't mean it's not an abusive relationship, and I'm not.

00:25:00 - 00:25:11 | Speaker 3:

saying that it is but i'm not saying it's not either like the the behaviors and the patterns have been seen before in abusive relationships you can have ups and downs i like when people

00:25:11 - 00:25:14 | Speaker 6:

say that though i like when i'm not saying that it is i'm not saying it's not but i'm gonna say

00:25:14 - 00:25:37 | Speaker 3:

that he's an abuser i don't want to know but like i'm not accusing him of anything i don't want to get involved in any sort of lawsuits but like as somebody who has worked with people in the past who are in abusive relationships there are times where you're having a good time and there are times where you're not like just because you see somebody smiling at some point doesn't mean oh their relationship is fine just like if you see somebody upset doesn't mean that their relationship

00:25:37 - 00:26:29 | Speaker 4:

is falling apart yeah and lastly the proceeds from that all-star fire aid benefit show i should say shows because technically there were two last month are expected to bring in more than 120 million dollars total the team behind last week's dual shows at la's intuit dome and then the kia forum said that the proceeds raised by the shows will help support the immediate needs and long-term recovery from the wildfires that took the lives of 29 people and destroyed more than 16,000 homes and businesses. Those shows, by the way, drew more than 50 million viewers across all of the streaming platforms it was shown on. I don't know how it did on this radio station or the iHeartRadio app, for example, but just hugely popular and definitely raised a ton of money. 00:40:30 - 00:40:38 | Speaker 2:

Are you going to tell Tiffany

00:40:38 - 00:40:48 | Speaker 1:

that this happened? Are you guys going to tell her ahead of time? You should not say a thing and let her just hear it. Let her just get calls from everybody.

00:40:48 - 00:40:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because that's what's going to happen. They don't understand. Tiffany is going to be worse than me.

00:40:53 - 00:40:54 | Speaker 1:

I love it.

00:40:56 - 00:40:59 | Speaker 2:

She'll get it from her mama. That's right.

00:40:59 - 00:41:03 | Speaker 1:

And Jamar's going to get his ass beat. Jamar, don't you get any thoughts?

00:41:03 - 00:41:16 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to smack him a couple of times. If it wasn't coming down, I was going to smack him, run him over something. Of course, Jamar has not done anything, but he's going to get hit. It's Mojo in the Morning. Five lies to tell your mom.

00:41:17 - 00:41:23 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning. It's nice when Shannon tells a story that makes her not hate her kids.

00:41:23 - 00:41:28 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God, are you kidding me? My kids are my favorite people in the world. This is, like, so nice, because normally it's like in the studio,

00:41:28 - 00:41:38 | Speaker 1:

she'll just go god damn kids like she's like seriously it reminds me like my dad my dad just was saying all the time my god damn kids all that time i never even thought that he ever wanted us

00:41:38 - 00:41:43 | Speaker 3:

you know that that's a false story because i would never say gd by the way oh that's right

00:41:43 - 00:41:54 | Speaker 1:

i forgot about you you know how i feel about that one um are you with me what is uh so i had a tell me something good we're gonna do tell me something good right now yeah i had a good moment yesterday

00:41:54 - 00:42:05 | Speaker 3:

with Miss Lucy well I was volunteering in Lucy's classroom and Lucy's in fifth grade she's going to middle school next year holy crap my god still need to wrap

00:42:05 - 00:42:10 | Speaker 1:

my brain around that one making every listener feel I know right and so I am

00:42:10 - 00:44:04 | Speaker 3:

volunteering her in her classroom she was student of the week and so I got to go in and and read and and talk to the kids and when I was done I got up and I went to leave and one of the, I think, I think I could call her a parapro, like one of the aids that helps in the classroom. I don't know the appropriate term, but followed me out the door and she stopped me on my way out and she wanted to chat with me about Lucy. And there is a student in Lucy's class who has a disability. I'm not quite sure what disability he is facing. It may be autism. I'm not positive about that, but Lucy is always, always talking about this boy and how much she loves him. And so this parapro wanted me to know that Lucy is so kind to him and she's always wanting to help him and give him love and attention, even when the other kids are ignoring him and playing with him at recess, if he's playing by himself. And you guys, I started to cry it made me so happy because and I always say this at my kids I always say this in general but I especially say this when I go in to talk to the teachers for my kids parent teacher conferences like they'll start to tell me about like how they're doing in math how they're doing in reading how they're doing in social studies I'm like okay great what I really care about is their heart and how they are as a person and how they treat other people that is what is so much more important to me than whether they're getting an A in you know history whatever um and so I just walked I walked back to my car and I was so proud of Lou that she that she treats this this other you know classmate of hers in this way um and so I just like I thought oh that's something to share and also like we all have something good going on in our lives that hopefully we can share today

00:44:04 - 00:44:14 | Speaker 1:

Hopefully. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, because that's you, Shannon. That's you. Seriously, you're a good person sometimes.

00:44:14 - 00:44:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I'm like, okay. I'm like, this is a good person. Wait for you guys. No, seriously. Wait for you guys. No, seriously. Wait for you guys.

00:44:19 - 00:44:26 | Speaker 1:

You always have time for people, so that's awesome. That's good. You know what? Lucy, that's amazing. And by the way-

00:44:26 - 00:44:29 | Speaker 3:

But when it's your kids, it makes you 10 million times more proud.

00:44:29 - 00:44:40 | Speaker 1:

And you're right in the fact that, you know what? you don't need you don't need to be the valedictorian you don't need to be the greatest athlete but you need to be a good human being yep yeah that's awesome although i gotta be

00:44:40 - 00:45:01 | Speaker 3:

honest if they fail let's see what happens you know you can always work on that sometimes i feel like if you're just a bad seed it's very hard to fix i think also at this stage like this tween stage this fifth sixth seventh grade whoo so to be like and that's what i told her to be the one and then

00:45:00 - 00:45:11 | Speaker 1:

That is not part of all of the other girls playing whatever or, you know, whatever they're doing at recess. And to be the one to take notice of someone who needs a buddy is a big deal.

00:45:12 - 00:45:42 | Speaker 2:

Let me let me just say this to to you. You've done a great job. You're an awesome mom. And I love that you and she is true, by the way, in saying this. I think that you could take anything away from Shannon, you know, in her life. But those two kids would be the only thing left. she'd be just as happy as she is right now as you are with what you have. Those kids bring you so much joy. They're awesome. Jalen, tell us something good. Pick it up from there. What do you got going on that's good in your life right now?

00:45:43 - 00:45:53 | Speaker 3:

Hey, morning, everyone. Good morning. Something great for me is my creamy daughter, who was born at 29 weeks, turned one year old today. Oh, my gosh.

00:45:53 - 00:45:55 | Speaker 1:

That's awesome. Happy birthday.

00:45:56 - 00:45:57 | Speaker 3:

That's incredible.

00:45:57 - 00:45:58 | Speaker 1:

How long was she in the NICU?

00:45:59 - 00:46:01 | Speaker 3:

She was in the NICU for about 55 days.

00:46:01 - 00:46:02 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my goodness.

00:46:02 - 00:46:04 | Speaker 2:

And what's her name so we can wish her a happy birthday?

00:46:05 - 00:46:06 | Speaker 3:

Her name is Maple.

00:46:07 - 00:46:07 | Speaker 2:

Maple.

00:46:07 - 00:46:11 | Speaker 1:

What a name. Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

00:46:11 - 00:46:12 | Speaker 3:

That's a great name.

00:46:12 - 00:46:13 | Speaker 1:

What's the middle name? Maple what?

00:46:14 - 00:46:18 | Speaker 3:

Maple Camille. Oh, my God. What a name.

00:46:18 - 00:46:20 | Speaker 2:

Y'all are crazy. That is adorable.

00:46:20 - 00:46:21 | Speaker 6:

Are you kidding me?

00:46:21 - 00:46:28 | Speaker 2:

He could have said anything. Y'all would have been like, no. Oh, my God. That was all my way. Come on, Kevin, say, that is the dumbest name I have ever heard.

00:46:28 - 00:46:31 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, though, Maple Gertrude does not flow the same way.

00:46:31 - 00:46:34 | Speaker 2:

That's incredible, Jalen. Happy birthday, Maple.

00:46:34 - 00:46:36 | Speaker 1:

Tell me something good.

00:46:36 - 00:46:42 | Speaker 2:

All right, let's go to Monique. Monique, tell us something good, please. Tell me that you love me.

00:46:42 - 00:47:00 | Speaker 5:

Hi, yes, I was a stay-at-home mom when I had our first child at 2018, and now I am a student aide at their school, which my mom was a founding mother. And she passed away two years ago, so now I'm excited to be at the school where my kids are, where now her legacy ratings.

00:47:01 - 00:47:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's sweet. That is so sweet. That's cool. How was it for you going into the workforce after being a stay-at-home mom? Was it easy? Was it cool?

00:47:12 - 00:47:22 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my word. It was such a big shock, and it was so funny. The first morning, my six-year-old lesson was like, Mom, it's your first time working. How does it feel?

00:47:22 - 00:47:36 | Speaker 2:

well we're happy for you and it's cool because you're in the same place with your kids and doing that legacy thing that your mom did kayla tell us something good come on give us something good

00:47:36 - 00:47:49 | Speaker 7:

hello my something good is my fiance and i should finally be moving into our house this weekend that we've been building for the last year that's exciting nice and where is this house and when

00:47:49 - 00:47:50 | Speaker 2:

00:47:52 - 00:48:01 | Speaker 7:

It's the Downriver area. Come on over this weekend. We'll see you. We're actually being trained all weekend long for swimming. I might stop by.

00:48:01 - 00:48:04 | Speaker 2:

This is a good one. Courtney, tell us something good.

00:48:05 - 00:48:15 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, guys. Good morning. Good morning. I will be one year sober from alcohol on March 30th. Yes.

00:48:17 - 00:48:17 | Unknown:

That's amazing.

00:48:17 - 00:48:24 | Speaker 2:

You got to call us on March 30th so that we can celebrate you again. That's awesome. Good job, Courtney.

00:48:24 - 00:48:26 | Speaker 7:

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

00:48:26 - 00:48:34 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Courtney, what, if you don't mind me asking this and prying a little bit, but what was it that got you to get sober? Like what was the last straw, so to speak?

00:48:36 - 00:49:28 | Speaker 4:

It just really started to affect my day-to-day. For the longest time, I kind of take this as a win, which is pathetic, but my therapist called me a functioning alcoholic. but um it just kind of started to get a little bit uh more than that um i was working at a very toxic job so that didn't help um and once i got out of there um in december of 2022 or 2023 um it really helped spark me getting sober once i left that toxic workplace and yeah i i haven't I felt this good in a very, very long time. I turn 40 next year, and I can't tell you how excited I am to turn 40, and I just feel the best I've felt in probably 10 years. I feel great. I've also lost 65 pounds. Oh, my God. Wow.

00:49:29 - 00:49:31 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing. Yeah.

00:49:31 - 00:49:33 | Speaker 4:

So, yeah, lots of good stuff.

00:49:33 - 00:49:43 | Speaker 2:

We love you, Courtney. Have a great day. Shannon, what's going on? Our Shannon started this thing off with that great story about Lucy. What's your story for Tell Me Something Good?

00:49:44 - 00:49:46 | Speaker 7:

Hey, guys. You are my favorite.

00:49:47 - 00:49:48 | Speaker 2:

Aw, we appreciate you.

00:49:48 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 7:

So, January 27th, I finished my bachelor's in administration program. I am finished, and I'm happy. Yeah!

00:50:00 - 00:50:03 | Speaker 2:

I like it.

00:50:03 - 00:50:04 | Speaker 4:

Hey, I'm so happy.

00:50:05 - 00:50:08 | Speaker 1:

Do we have a job ready to go?

00:50:09 - 00:50:31 | Speaker 4:

Well, I'm a mail carrier, so I've always had a job. I was just going so that I could do something else. So I did give my postmaster my letter that I want to advance in my career. So I'm just playing the waiting game. But in the meantime, I'm still going to apply to, you know, different positions because you should never know what's out there for you.

00:50:31 - 00:50:42 | Speaker 1:

That's cool. I love that. I love to hear that. Here you are. You have a career job, and you decide, I want to go and finish my school. Finish that, and now let's see what life takes you to next, okay?

00:50:43 - 00:51:19 | Speaker 4:

Yep, but I promised my dad that I would finish. So quick, quick story, guys. Yeah. March 12th of 2022, we buried my dad. March 21st was my 39th, was it, no, 38th birthday. March 25th, I found that I was pregnant for the first time. March 27th or 28th is when I started my schooling. And I have finished through grieving, through pregnancy, through motherhood. So to anyone out there, and I'm about to be 41, anyone out there, don't give up. Keep going. I don't care how old you are. Get that dang degree and enjoy your life. That's incredible.

00:51:20 - 00:51:28 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Incredible. Thank you for that. All right. Tell me something good. I got time for a couple more. Paige, what's your Tell Me Something Good?

00:51:29 - 00:51:37 | Speaker 3:

So I am a teacher, and I am halfway through my master's reading program. That's great for you.

00:51:39 - 00:51:43 | Speaker 1:

And where do you teach? What grade do you teach at, and what school do you teach at?

00:51:43 - 00:51:47 | Speaker 3:

I teach kindergarten at St. Matthew in Wadlake.

00:51:47 - 00:51:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's awesome. And do we have any kids that would not be on Tell Me Something Good? This is Tell Me Something Good.

00:51:52 - 00:51:53 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Come on.

00:51:53 - 00:51:58 | Speaker 1:

I need something. I need something. Come on. Tell me something. Are there any little brats in that glass?

00:51:58 - 00:52:01 | Speaker 5:

Just by the way, she said they're all good. You can tell she's lying just a little bit.

00:52:02 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 1:

Hold on. Misfit Victor. Hold on. Misfit Victor's on Tell Me Something Good. What is your Tell Me Something Good, Victor?

00:52:09 - 00:52:11 | Speaker 5:

Hey, guys. Long time listener. First time. Oh, my God.

00:52:12 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 3:

Victor's on the show.

00:52:14 - 00:52:15 | Speaker 1:

Come on.

00:52:15 - 00:52:16 | Speaker 5:

Happy New Year, by the way.

00:52:16 - 00:52:19 | Speaker 1:

Come on. What do you got? Tell me something good.

00:52:20 - 00:52:27 | Speaker 5:

You know, I've been trying to cut back on bills and different things like that. And yesterday, I was able to lower my insurance by switching to Geico.

00:52:28 - 00:52:39 | Speaker 1:

All right. How does Lydia put you through the phone lines here? All right. Tell me something good. Olivia, tell me something good, Olivia. What do you got?

00:52:41 - 00:52:53 | Speaker 2:

First time, long time. Lydia's on the phone. So I recently found out that I am pregnant with my first child. Oh, my gosh. That's so huge.

00:52:54 - 00:53:00 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. Do we know the father? Oh, of course. Of course. My husband.

00:53:00 - 00:53:01 | Speaker 2:

That's good.

00:53:01 - 00:53:03 | Speaker 1:

Okay. I just want to make sure.

00:53:04 - 00:53:12 | Speaker 2:

Yes, I'm very early on, so say prayers for me, please. But my life goal has to be a mom, so I'm super excited.

00:53:12 - 00:53:18 | Speaker 1:

That's incredible. Well, you enjoy this pregnancy, and we're going to be thinking of you, and check in with us throughout time, okay?

00:53:19 - 00:53:20 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

00:53:20 - 00:53:31 | Speaker 1:

All right, and you just made it. First time, long time. One last one. One last one is we honor Kim because we're all going to be jealous after she tells us what's Friday. Friday is going to be a big day for you, Kim. What is happening?

00:53:34 - 00:53:34 | Speaker 2:

Hello?

00:53:35 - 00:53:37 | Speaker 1:

Yes, Kim. What's happening on Friday?

00:53:37 - 00:53:48 | Speaker 4:

I am retiring. Oh, yes. I hate you. Last day at work. What do you do, Kim? I work in a law firm.

00:53:49 - 00:53:51 | Speaker 1:

Ah. Do they know you're retiring?

00:53:53 - 00:53:56 | Speaker 4:

They do. As a matter of fact, today they're having a breakfast for me to celebrate.

00:53:57 - 00:54:01 | Speaker 1:

They better do more than a breakfast, for God's sakes. How long have you been there?

00:54:02 - 00:54:05 | Speaker 2:

I'm hoping there's a little more. Yeah. How long have you been there? I've been there 17 years.

00:54:05 - 00:54:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. That's great.

00:54:06 - 00:54:06 | Speaker 2:

17 years.

00:54:07 - 00:54:12 | Speaker 1:

What are you going to do then? What will you do Monday morning? Will you sleep in until noon like a teenager, or what will you do?

00:54:12 - 00:54:25 | Speaker 2:

I am doing absolutely nothing. As you shouldn't. Monday is a do-nothing day. Yes. Good for you. I hope you don't wake up and have that, I'm late feeling. I know. I hope I don't, too.

00:54:25 - 00:54:42 | Speaker 1:

That's incredible. Good for you. And awesome job on your part to be able to call it quits and enjoy this great weather that we have. If I'm retiring, I'm retiring summertime. I'm going to retire right at the time where I can just go out and do a bunch of stuff.

00:54:42 - 00:54:44 | Speaker 5:

Drink a bunch of margaritas on a patio to celebrate.

00:54:44 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 1:

I don't know if I want to necessarily retire and then be stuck inside watching nothing but, you know, Price is Right. Retiring is retiring. I'll give a damn what day it is. Hold on. Rebecca says that, hold on a second. Rebecca, are you there? Something with the dirty on the 30, which is nice. Yes, I am.

00:55:00 - 00:55:21 | Speaker 2:

00:56:14 - 00:56:17 | Speaker 3:

Alright Shannon, let's get it going here What do you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

00:56:17 - 00:56:49 | Speaker 1:

Oh boy, well Marcus Jordan the son of basketball great Michael Jordan was arrested on Monday in Florida and sent to jail technically it was like tuesday because it was overnight but he is accused of driving under the influence cocaine possession and resisting arrest so he'd been out with some friends at a strip club drinking before he got his car stuck on some railroad tracks so i'm going to play you the audio from one of the officers body cams as this arrest is happening but yeah we're

00:56:49 - 00:56:56 | Speaker 5:

not getting back in the car right now. Okay. Um, but the reason why, yeah, so the mid favorite, keep hands on the pocket. Yeah. Yeah.

00:56:58 - 00:57:26 | Speaker 6:

There's nothing in my pocket. I'm Marcus Jordan. I'm Michael Jordan. So I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm just trying to get home. No, he did. I made a wrong turn. Okay. And clearly, we would just like to get our car off of the train tracks, which we were not trying to be on.

00:57:27 - 00:57:39 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I'm just saying, if there's six of us, and we throw this thing in reverse. I've already got concerns for your level of impairment anyways, okay? So that's why. Because it's not alcohol coming from you?

00:57:40 - 00:57:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so Marcus is the second eldest of Michael Jordan's five kids. You might know him. He's been on a few reality shows. Real Housewives of Miami, Peacock's the Traitors. Scotty Pippen. Well, he was. They broke. Remember, he and Larsa Pippen were a thing for a while. They broke up last year, but yeah. That was not good.

00:57:58 - 00:58:00 | Speaker 3:

The don't you know who I am card is.

00:58:00 - 00:58:01 | Speaker 1:

It didn't work.

00:58:01 - 00:58:08 | Speaker 3:

My dad is Michael Jordan. And y'all think Jordan the GOAT. He is the GOAT. Well, hey, everybody can have a bad kid or two.

00:58:08 - 00:58:09 | Speaker 4:

You're right. You're right about that.

00:58:09 - 00:58:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:58:09 - 00:58:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, which ones are your bad kids?

00:58:11 - 00:58:13 | Speaker 3:

All of them. All three of them.

00:58:13 - 00:58:44 | Speaker 1:

Jelly Roll is set to join American Idol's upcoming 23rd season as its first ever artist in residence. They've never had this before. So that is going to be him. He's going to work with contestants and offer them advice beginning during the show's Hollywood Week. And then he'll stay on throughout the entire season. 23 seasons. What ratings do they get? I have no idea. Because you know they're doing this to compete with The Voice. But, like, am I the only one that's kind of surprised they haven't died already?

00:58:44 - 00:58:46 | Speaker 4:

I thought they did. Then they resurrected.

00:58:47 - 00:58:53 | Speaker 1:

Well, they did. Because, remember, they went from, is it Fox to ABC? I don't even know what it's on anymore.

00:58:53 - 00:59:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I think it got, yeah, Fox dumped it, and then it went to ABC. I think it still does well. I think that the ratings aren't bad on that show.

00:59:00 - 00:59:06 | Speaker 4:

I don't know if I want this for Jelly Roll. I know. It just doesn't feel like it's going in the right direction.

00:59:06 - 00:59:10 | Speaker 3:

Really? Do we think that American Idol is that bad? Ryan Seacrest is, I don't give a big as well.

00:59:11 - 00:59:21 | Speaker 1:

For the check. You know, Katy Perry did it for the check. Luke Bryan did it for the check. She made bajillions of dollars. They all are. I feel like it's a really low-cost show. It's got to be, right?

00:59:21 - 00:59:23 | Speaker 3:

I think all those shows kind of are. Yeah.

00:59:23 - 00:59:37 | Speaker 1:

I kind of love this. Serena Carpenter is going to release a deluxe edition of her latest album, Short and Sweet, on Valentine's Day. This new edition will include five new tracks, and one of those tracks is a duet of this song with Dolly Parton.

00:59:37 - 00:59:38 | Speaker 3:

Oh, wow.

00:59:38 - 00:59:48 | Speaker 1:

I haven't heard it yet, but I can't wait to hear it. The other four are new songs, 15 Minutes, Couldn't Make It Any Harder, Busy Woman, and Bad Reviews, if you're right.

00:59:48 - 00:59:55 | Speaker 3:

That's a person like Jelly Roll that gets themselves tied into everything pop culture, doesn't it? Udali. Udali is like amazing over the years.

00:59:56 - 00:59:56 | Speaker 1:

I love her.

00:59:56 - 00:59:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:59:57 - 01:00:00 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, if you are a...

01:00:00 - 01:01:05 | Speaker 3:

Waffle House fan, and I know we don't really have any Waffle Houses in Michigan, or do we? We don't have a single real Waffle House. Now, everybody's gonna text me, there's a Waffle House, but it's not an actual Waffle House. It's a different restaurant called Waffle House. But if you live in Ohio, or if you travel and you always stop at a Waffle House, the restaurant chain is adding a 50 cent surcharge onto all of its egg based menu items. This temporary charge, it's only temporary, But it's to offset the crazy price of eggs inflated thanks to that bird flu outbreak. So Waffle House says it's going to continue to monitor egg prices and adjust accordingly. But for now, you're going to be hit with that extra 50 cents. The bird flu, by the way, you guys, has caused the death of more than 13 million hens since December. And they say it's going to take about a year to restore the chicken population and for egg prices to return to normal. So I went to three grocery stores the day before yesterday for eggs. I'm talking there was not one dang egg carton. Costco was insane. Costco was insane. People were hoarding eggs.

01:01:05 - 01:01:17 | Speaker 4:

And also, we had that dumb law here in Michigan, too, about which ones we can sell. But did you see the theft that happened? There was a theft of more than $40,000 worth of eggs.

01:01:17 - 01:01:17 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

01:01:18 - 01:01:21 | Speaker 4:

Where was it at? It was like a chicken coop or something like that.

01:01:22 - 01:01:38 | Speaker 3:

Chicken coop. Pennsylvania police was in Pennsylvania. Yeah, it was. Oh, this story, something happened with this link, but yeah, $40,000 worth of eggs. I'm stolen. I'm just so sad you're telling me my $4 meal is going to be $4.50. It is.

01:01:39 - 01:01:56 | Speaker 4:

Billy the Kid, our good friend Billy the Kid from Dallas and used to be on Channel 9FF5 and grew up here in Detroit, put the greatest viral video together with Pooh from his show. I love Pooh. Where they did a drug deal for eggs. It was the greatest ever. Follow Billy the Kid and tell him Mojo is talking about him. He's the best.

01:01:56 - 01:02:00 | Speaker 3:

01:03:22 - 01:04:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Tell them. You can follow Visit Florida, and if you do follow Visit Florida, tell them that you heard about it on Mojo in the Morning so these guys know how great our listeners are and how we love opportunities to get to warm weather. All right, it is Mojo in the Morning Show. We're commercial-free for more than an hour. Were we able to get our audio and everything up? So, Fritz, shout-out to Fritz. I don't even know what Fritz's title is, but whatever his title is, he should be CEO Bob Pittman of this company because he's always there for us, and he's the reason why we're able to get all the good streams and views and all the rest of that stuff. All right, Mojo on the morning show. Kevin works at the Pistons games, and you witnessed something that you said might be one of the worst proposals ever.

01:04:06 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 1:

I don't think so. Really? But, I mean, there are people. The Pistons have an opportunity for you to propose to whoever you want to on a Jumbotron, and people take advantage of that. And we've had an increasing number of people this season, maybe because we're winning, I don't know, that want to propose during halftime. And they get on the jumbotron first, it'll be like, Shannon, will you marry me? Like, the letters, you know, the words it'll say. And then the camera will show the guy, you know, getting on his knee, pulling out the ring. Not on the court. This is like in the... This is like in the stands. Yeah, in the stands. But it's on the jumbotron for everybody and their mama to see. And people who are watching it at home, they get to see this too. And it seems like a beautiful moment, but I was talking to some... Well, I wasn't talking to them, but some girls on our game presentation staff had reacted and was like, I would never do that. I would hate it if my man proposed to me at the Jumbo Tron. Oh, my God, it's the worst. I'm like, why are you acting like that?

01:05:00 - 01:05:24 | Speaker 4:

She's like, first off, I don't know any of these people. This is how she was talking. She's like, first off, I don't know any of these people. So, like, it's fake congratulations from people I don't care about. Then she's like, the moment isn't really about me because this, you could have did something more spectacular and special. You could have took me somewhere I like, but you took me to a basketball game. She just went down this whole thing. And I'm like, what you're getting proposed to? Like, isn't that what you're just about? No.

01:05:25 - 01:05:36 | Speaker 5:

But what if they're both, like, hardcore Pistons fans? I mean, then. I guess in that situation, you don't know. Yeah, that's not the person. I would hope that that's the case if that's where the proposal happened.

01:05:37 - 01:05:37 | Speaker 2:

Because if you're not.

01:05:37 - 01:05:46 | Speaker 5:

Because, like, if I got proposed to a Pistons game or a Red Wings game. I'd be pissed. Or a Lions game or a Detroit Tigers game, I would be not happy.

01:05:46 - 01:05:51 | Speaker 1:

And to your point, I'm a huge Lions and a huge Red Wings fan. Do not propose to me at a game.

01:05:51 - 01:05:57 | Speaker 2:

It better be Jared Goff throwing you the ring from the 50-yard line. Right. If that's you, that's not a fan.

01:05:57 - 01:06:04 | Speaker 5:

for some people that would be idyllic idyllic so is it the atmosphere is it the atmosphere

01:06:04 - 01:06:08 | Speaker 4:

or that it just doesn't speak to you or is that one in the same i'm not a huge fan of public

01:06:08 - 01:06:20 | Speaker 1:

proposals just in general but like if i'm at a public proposal with a bunch of strangers and not even like my friends and family i'm gonna be real mad i think that there are times and places

01:06:20 - 01:06:56 | Speaker 2:

for it you got to pick the one that is associates to the person you're getting married to but i've often believe this the people that wait till the dessert to propose at a restaurant are making a huge mistake why because if they do it right off the bat she will forever be happy that entire meal and there's not a chance that she's going to get pissed at you like that's the greatest meal ever like why not do it and when they bring the the the menus out i never understood why you're waiting for the dessert because you just wasted the entire meal together and you're still something You're still going to get cookies later that night because you got proposed to.

01:06:56 - 01:06:58 | Speaker 1:

And somebody might pick up the bill.

01:06:58 - 01:07:12 | Speaker 2:

And somebody might pick up the bill. And you're now the, you're the glory of this entire restaurant. Like if I'm going to do that, I'm doing it right at the beginning of the whole thing. And just like your friend, can I talk to your friend, the lady from the Pistons that told you this?

01:07:12 - 01:07:13 | Speaker 4:

I don't have her number.

01:07:13 - 01:07:43 | Speaker 2:

No, you be her. Oh, okay. Hi, how are you? I'm good. What's your name, by the way? You don't need to know my name. What you want? I agree with you. I just want you to know, Kev, I know, doesn't. I agree with you because at a Pistons game, you're doing this thing, and you don't have everybody's excitement until the next play. Right. Or halftime starting up again, right? Right. And what are you going to get for free at the game?

01:07:44 - 01:07:52 | Speaker 4:

Swag? That's what I'm saying. I don't even like Pistons clothes like that. Right. By the way, why do I see her? I'm seeing her right across from you right now.

01:07:52 - 01:07:55 | Speaker 5:

Do you hook them up with stuff when they get engaged, you know?

01:07:55 - 01:07:57 | Speaker 4:

I don't think they do. No.

01:07:57 - 01:07:58 | Speaker 5:

That would not matter to me.

01:07:58 - 01:08:01 | Speaker 4:

Give me some 313 merch. That's interesting. I don't think they do.

01:08:02 - 01:08:14 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, public proposals. And tell us about your public proposal. And is there anybody listening that had a public proposal that hated their public proposal? I would love to hear you. I'd like to hear the complaints.

01:08:15 - 01:08:33 | Speaker 4:

Here's another layer that I, because we poo-pooing a lot. But there is something about 20,000 people applauding you, right? That's not a good thing because when they put it up there, I'm like, is it a – I'm on the microphone, is it a yes? And she's telling us, I'm like, congratulations on that. And everybody in the crowd is like, ah, congratulations. Because you're obligated.

01:08:34 - 01:08:45 | Speaker 5:

That's not what I – I think it just all depends on the person. That is not what I would want, and I would not want a bajillion people applauding for me. I don't know. That would make me really self-conscious.

01:08:45 - 01:08:50 | Speaker 2:

What if you got proposed to on a game when the Pistons got blown out? That would suck.

01:08:50 - 01:08:58 | Speaker 5:

That's also one where you have to be extraordinarily confident that she is going to say yes. Yeah, true. As you should be anyway when you're proposing, regardless of the place.

01:08:59 - 01:09:02 | Speaker 2:

I like the viral ones where they say no, because I know they're going to be fake.

01:09:03 - 01:09:03 | Speaker 5:

They're 100% fake.

01:09:04 - 01:09:05 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Stephanie? How you doing?

01:09:06 - 01:09:08 | Speaker 5:

Hi, how are you? First time, long time?

01:09:08 - 01:09:12 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Stephanie. Stephanie's on the phone. What's going on?

01:09:12 - 01:09:20 | Speaker 3:

my mother-in-law proposed to me what is it an arranged marriage

01:09:20 - 01:09:40 | Speaker 6:

no i've known my husband since i was 17 years old and we didn't get married until we were in our 30s oh my gosh so what age did she propose to you well we got married at 33 i was about 32 Wait, so why?

01:09:40 - 01:09:43 | Speaker 5:

I don't tell, how did this happen, and why did that happen that way?

01:09:44 - 01:09:54 | Speaker 6:

My husband is, like, not the romantic type at all, and he had no plan. And honestly, if she didn't propose, I probably still wouldn't be married.

01:09:54 - 01:09:55 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

01:09:55 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 6:

Wait, so how did she do it? He held the ring. He held the ring. It was in his.

01:10:00 - 01:10:28 | Speaker 4:

his he was in his living room and it was christmas so i've gone over to see their family and he held the ring and it wasn't even like my engaging ring it was like a promise ring so he changed the ring later but he held the ring in between my mother-in-law and my shoulders from behind that's like a handmaid's tale proposal that is crazy though oh my god that is so funny though she still

01:10:28 - 01:10:54 | Speaker 7:

lived with me so basically i married my mother oh my god the flags are a bit pink but she's still married marriage like that lasts it's crazy dukes you there yes marty what's going on uh duke says that where she works a lot of people like what do they get for when they propose they get a free

01:10:54 - 01:11:04 | Speaker 3:

dessert or get their meal comps and my manager was like we're not accepting any more proposals no more proposals during dinner where is this where what restaurant i used to work this was

01:11:04 - 01:11:23 | Speaker 7:

i used to work at olive garden in college olive garden can you imagine you get proposed to at the olive garden let me tell you dream come true that's amazing the bird's a sunday night i like that the manager is all upset because he's losing money off of the free desserts that he's

01:11:23 - 01:11:33 | Speaker 1:

giving away. Dude, if it's endless pasta night, though, that's the only time I'm going to be pissed because I'm going to be bloated, and I'm not going to bake cookies with you afterwards because I'm here for the pasta. That's amazing.

01:11:33 - 01:11:35 | Speaker 3:

Free bread, free dessert,

01:11:35 - 01:11:36 | Unknown:

free term soup.

01:11:37 - 01:11:45 | Speaker 7:

You're great. We love you. Thank you for the call. Kayla, what's up? How you doing? This is a interesting proposal. What's up, Kayla? Where was your proposal? Hi.

01:11:45 - 01:11:50 | Speaker 2:

Hi. So, actually, I got proposed to at Dream Girl Strip Club. Come on.

01:11:50 - 01:11:53 | Speaker 7:

Oh, okay. You got proposed to at strip club?

01:11:54 - 01:12:14 | Speaker 2:

Yes. So my partner and I, we've been together for a long time. She got a whole school bus together for my birthday party. We took the whole school bus down to the strip club. And unbeknownst to me, she had planned to propose the whole time. So they pulled me up on stage. I had dancing girls scissoring on my face, all kinds of crazy stuff.

01:12:14 - 01:12:32 | Speaker 7:

See, this could only work in a gay relationship. There's no way that a straight guy could propose to a woman at a strip club and have excitement levels. Yeah, go back to the scissor on the face. How was that? No, no, no, let's not talk about that. Did you have the best rep party in the same night?

01:12:32 - 01:12:32 | Speaker 1:

No, no.

01:12:34 - 01:12:43 | Speaker 7:

Get that girl back from the Pistons and have her tell you to be quiet right now. Annie, worse than being proposed to at a strip club. Annie, where was your proposal?

01:12:43 - 01:12:49 | Speaker 6:

Oh, it was in front of some port-a-potties at the Tulip Time Festival. Oh, come on.

01:12:49 - 01:12:54 | Speaker 7:

Wait, why in front of the port-a-potties? Was he just having that ring burn a hole in his face?

01:12:54 - 01:13:00 | Speaker 6:

It was so ridiculous. We had met originally a year before at the Tulip Time Festival.

01:13:00 - 01:13:00 | Speaker 7:

Okay.

01:13:01 - 01:13:18 | Speaker 6:

And so, yeah, so I had no business marrying this man, by the way. But, yeah, next thing you know, he's down on one knee, I look up and we're literally standing in front of about, I don't know, 20 port-a-potties. And I thought, dude, you suck right now.

01:13:19 - 01:13:23 | Speaker 4:

The festival would be really pretty, but just not there.

01:13:24 - 01:13:27 | Speaker 7:

But were there tulips in front of the thing, to be fair?

01:13:28 - 01:13:31 | Speaker 6:

Probably behind us, yeah, because they're everywhere.

01:13:31 - 01:13:46 | Speaker 7:

That's unreal. Now, that is an amazing proposal right there. What's going on, Andrea? How you doing? Good. How are you? Good. Good. Andrea's proposal was not very romantic. And actually, you didn't even think you were getting proposed to. What did you think was going on?

01:13:47 - 01:14:25 | Speaker 5:

Well, I actually thought he was going to dump me because he waited until after dinner. He was getting so irritated because his mom kept calling. Obviously, I had no idea what was going on. And it was raining. We were leaving, and it was raining. And I was like, dude, what are you doing? He was giving me this spiel, and I thought he was breaking up with me. and then he gets down on one knee then he finally asks and i was like dude i thought you were breaking up with me and then finally he asked that it was raining it was cold it was christmas eve and if you know anybody that knows me i'm like i definitely thought i was gonna get a big proposal

01:14:25 - 01:14:39 | Speaker 1:

but it was in an empty parking lot that's crazy yeah and he knows you so the fact that like he didn't go above and beyond is it's total him behavior yeah yeah megan knows me this is my

01:14:39 - 01:14:43 | Speaker 7:

really good friend is it really yeah i was wondering why megan was getting megan seemed

01:14:43 - 01:14:47 | Speaker 1:

like she knew the story as soon as i heard your voice i was like john's such a dumb ass

01:14:47 - 01:14:56 | Speaker 7:

you're still married and you must love him you love him he's the best is he oh i love him a lot

01:14:56 - 01:14:58 | Speaker 1:

15 years, 15 years.

01:14:58 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 7:

And does his mom still call him nonstop?

01:15:00 - 01:15:05 | Speaker 1:

oh yeah but i love her too she's like the i have the best mother-in-law in the whole world

01:15:05 - 01:15:10 | Speaker 2:

so i do love her so much that's cute all right well we love you thank you hold on gail last

01:15:10 - 01:15:58 | Speaker 1:

one gail are you there i am here good morning everybody good morning gail where'd you get proposed to uh in the delivery room giving birth to my oldest son uh 17 it'll be 18 years ago this november wait when did he do it was it after after birth i was pushing i was pushing i was pushing i was an active push oh my god proposed and i luckily i was medicated because i swear to god if i wasn't it would have been the most excruciating pain because i could feel the little boy's head go from almost out to right back into my pelvis oh yeah oh my god that was the worst timing oh my god to the man now almost 18 years later that's sweet that was not what i

01:15:58 - 01:16:04 | Speaker 2:

expected you have me to redo did the doctors get pissed like were the doctors okay with that

01:16:04 - 01:16:13 | Speaker 1:

the doctors didn't even really know what was going on it was my stepmom who convinced him to propose right then and there which i have no idea what that lady's drugs were on because i

01:16:13 - 01:16:19 | Speaker 2:

would have loved those drugs too oh my god that's unreal thank you for the call we appreciate it

01:16:19 - 01:16:21 | Speaker 1:

Have a good day, guys. Love you.

01:16:21 - 01:16:30 | Speaker 6:

He picked his nose. He smelled. He made her pay. What the hell happened? Second date update happens after 8 on Mojo in the Morning.

01:16:31 - 01:17:00 | Speaker 2:

Before we kick off the 8 o'clock hour, I'll do that in a second. This is kind of nice. I just noticed this. There's no Starbucks open, so Lydia picks up my Starbucks at the Starbucks that is over just off of 94, right by Selfridge. And it's the only one that's open at like 4 o'clock in the morning or whatever. They wrote us, the person drew a sunshine on my drink and said, enjoy. Look at this. Is that nice? Oh, wow. Do you know her name, Lydia, so we can shout her out?

01:17:00 - 01:17:05 | Speaker 3:

That would be Maria. Oh, Maria. She also put on my cup, see you tomorrow, with a question mark.

01:17:05 - 01:17:07 | Speaker 2:

Oh. Oh, she flirting. She trying to smash, Lydia.

01:17:08 - 01:17:08 | Speaker 3:

Maybe.

01:17:09 - 01:17:17 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God, that is so nice. Come on, now, she drawing sunshine. That's really sweet. She's talking about see you tomorrow. Wait, hold on a second, see you tomorrow. That's not the bad word, is it? That's next Tuesday. Oh, see you next Tuesday. Okay.

01:17:18 - 01:17:21 | Speaker 3:

Mojo, that was your text to me. Oh, I did not.

01:17:21 - 01:17:35 | Speaker 2:

Never, never use that word. Real quick, I want you to also know this. Bianca just walked into the studio, and I did not know this until yesterday. Bianca side hustling. Do you know that Bianca is a real estate agent?

01:17:35 - 01:17:36 | Speaker 6:

What?

01:17:36 - 01:17:51 | Speaker 2:

Did you know that? Yeah, I did. Bianca, Bianca, who. I did not know that. She works with us here on Mojo in the Morning, but she also is on the air in Detroit's Channel 955. Just graduated from Michigan State, but she's also a real estate. When did you get your real estate license?

01:17:51 - 01:17:54 | Speaker 3:

I got licensed in 2022. So I've been a real estate agent for like three years.

01:17:54 - 01:17:57 | Speaker 2:

Do you understand how hard that is to do?

01:17:57 - 01:18:05 | Speaker 3:

That was the hardest thing I ever did in my life. It took me five times to pass the test. How old are you? 22. Oh my God, I was going to say 21. Wow.

01:18:06 - 01:18:17 | Speaker 2:

That's unreal. So she's a real estate agent. And so I noticed this because on your social media. Actually, Chelsea noticed it. Chelsea said to me, she goes, do you know Bianca's a real estate agent? I said, no. She goes, go check it out. I saw your new pictures. I thought they were.

01:18:17 - 01:18:29 | Speaker 3:

Is that what those are for? No, those are my senior pictures. Oh, okay. I had some recent people following me on Instagram, so I had to flex. So I posted the good pics. So I got to flex. How cute was he? He was a solid 7 out of 10. Hey.

01:18:30 - 01:18:34 | Speaker 2:

I thought that that was her real estate photos. You know how real estate agents have those photos?

01:18:34 - 01:18:38 | Speaker 3:

Oh, but they take glamour shots nowadays. They can double down as it. I could use those.

01:18:38 - 01:18:45 | Speaker 2:

But I thought that that was so wild that I had no clue that she does that, that she's a real estate agent. Have you had a listing yet?

01:18:45 - 01:18:48 | Speaker 3:

No, I just started it again last week, so we're working on it.

01:18:48 - 01:18:50 | Speaker 2:

Could we ask listeners if they are looking to sell a house?

01:18:50 - 01:18:53 | Speaker 3:

Would you guys trust me to sell your house? Oh my gosh, hell no. Seriously, that's good.

01:18:54 - 01:19:00 | Speaker 2:

But no, we can promote it on the radio, too. Like, we can promote the house and stuff. Like, the open house could be, like, completely off the hook, wouldn't it?

01:19:00 - 01:19:13 | Speaker 4:

Can I say something, though? You are the hardest worker around here. I would absolutely trust you. You are the one person in my life who says yes to everything, whatever I ask. You go above and beyond. I would trust you.

01:19:13 - 01:19:14 | Speaker 2:

And her follow through is amazing.

01:19:14 - 01:19:17 | Speaker 4:

It really is. You're very level headed.

01:19:17 - 01:19:27 | Speaker 5:

Are you going to start making those like TikToks and Instagram reels though that a lot of realtors do? They're like make fun of their clients and stuff. You need to follow. I've had to unfollow so many that do that.

01:19:27 - 01:19:30 | Speaker 2:

The best one is Tushar. I actually met him for the first time this year.

01:19:30 - 01:19:32 | Speaker 5:

Does he do those kind of videos though?

01:19:32 - 01:19:34 | Speaker 2:

He does these drones flying through his house.

yo mojo what's up guys how are we this morning we're great man what's going on Well, I wasn't expecting Lydia to put me on with you guys, but Bianca, I'm a mortgage broker here in Troy at Apex Lending, and I work with people as well as 500 credit scores. I do a lot of creative financing. Look at this. Smart guy. This guy's so smart to call. My average closing time is 14 to 21 days. All right. Love it. I'll hit you up. Thank you.

01:25:50 - 01:25:57 | Speaker 3:

Man, oh, man. This guy's like, you're fast as hell. I just want you to know my average closing time with girls was about.

01:25:59 - 01:26:00 | Speaker 1:

All right.

01:26:00 - 01:26:08 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. Same amount of time. Same amount of time. Same amount of time. Doug. Hey, thanks, guys. Hit up. Hit up. Bianca, what's your social?

01:26:08 - 01:26:14 | Speaker 4:

You can follow me on Instagram, Bianca Kaji, K-A-J-Y. DM me, and then we'll do business. Let's go.

01:26:14 - 01:26:25 | Speaker 3:

I like it. Awesome. I love you guys. Thank you. How is she 22? How is she? Isn't that crazy? Blows my mind. That's crazy. All right. It's Mojo in the morning. I'm not proud of this next topic.

01:26:25 - 01:26:28 | Speaker 1:

I really am not, but I cannot wait to hear what happened with this.

01:26:28 - 01:27:17 | Speaker 3:

All right. So I've been having some issues kind of sleeping and I keep my aura ring scores all the time. And it's weird. My, my scores have typically been seventies. Sometimes on the weekends I can get an 80 or 90 on the thing, which is actually really good, but I've been getting a lot of sixties lately and I'm not doing great. And I think the problem is that I'm never falling into a deep sleep. So a friend of mine said, Hey, you know what you need to do, Tom? They said, take some edibles and see how it works. I'm like, I'm not going to get edibles. I tried that at one point, and all it made me do was want to eat my, you know, frickin' entire kitchen, you know? I'd take an edible, and next thing you know, there'd be like five pizzas delivered by DoorDash. So he says, here, I'll give you a couple. Just try these. And you know when it's bad when they give it to you in a little sandwich bag that you make your kids, like, sandwiches in? You know what I mean?

01:27:18 - 01:27:18 | Speaker 1:

What are you?

01:27:19 - 01:27:19 | Unknown:

What?

01:27:19 - 01:27:21 | Speaker 3:

He gave it to me. It was his. No, they were his.

01:27:21 - 01:27:22 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

01:27:23 - 01:28:09 | Speaker 3:

So he brought them over to my house, and he had two of them in a sandwich bag, like a Ziploc sandwich baggie. And so I'm like, okay, well, I'll try one of them, and I put it in my mouth, and I take it, and I'm laying down, you know, for a little bit. And Chelsea's laying down, too, and we're on the couch kind of watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And all of a sudden, it hit. It was one of those ones, like, you ever have that hit, and all of a sudden it hits, and you start seeing, like, the room kind of going a little bit? And next thing you know, it's like rainbows are like flying out of like my dog's ass. You know what I mean? That's how I'm worried about it. That's how I'm worried about weed. And then, I swear to you, I think it was LSD or something like that. I thought I was like straight on from the 70s or something. Angel did. Then, I'm watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and I start crying.

01:28:09 - 01:28:10 | Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh.

01:28:10 - 01:29:03 | Speaker 3:

And Chelsea looks over at me and goes, are you okay? And I go, I don't know. And I don't even know the people on Real Housewives. I just do it just so I'm spending time with her. And I'm watching this thing and I'm like, they're going out and, you know, they're like yelling at each other and stuff. They yell and I'm like, my, she's yelling at her. Like I started crying. I got so emotional. It took over me. And it got to a point where, and I want to throw this out there, not just to embarrass myself, but I want to throw this out there because I'd love to know from you and I want you to fill in the blank. I once was so high, I blanked. And now with, and by the way, kids don't take drugs. And this is not, seriously, if you're listening with your mom and your dad in your car and you're watching mom laugh, she probably does drugs, but that's okay. But don't do it because it's not good. Like seriously, if you're going to do something like sticks to straight on, full on booze, it's so much better than drugs.

01:29:03 - 01:29:07 | Speaker 1:

I'm not backing that up. When you turn 21.

01:29:07 - 01:29:07 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

01:29:08 - 01:29:08 | Speaker 1:

Not even then.

01:29:09 - 01:29:26 | Speaker 3:

But I got to a point, it got to a point where I got so emotional. I was crying like I was at a funeral. Kev, I don't know what this stuff was, but they've got to charge double for it. And you know the name of it? No, he didn't even answer my text this morning. I was sending him text messages.

01:29:26 - 01:29:30 | Speaker 1:

Wait, was this just yesterday? Yeah, it was last night. Oh, okay. I missed you saying that.

01:29:30 - 01:29:33 | Speaker 3:

No, it was last night. Oh, God. It was bad. Actually, I still don't even have a text from him.

01:29:33 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 1:

So I had the opposite happen to me. And you guys know I never smoke. Very, very rarely do I take an edible. But I went on a girls weekend a couple of months ago and my friends took me to my very first dispensary and took pictures like it was my first day of kindergarten outside. But I my my one girlfriend, we got back to the cabin we were staying in and my I was sitting out on the porch with two of my friends and one of them was telling.

01:30:00 - 01:30:29 | Speaker 7:

really serious story i took like a baby amount of this thing and she is like all serious i think there were some tears on her part and i start laughing so hard and i can't stop and i am laughing for no reason there is nothing funny about this story and she's like side-eyeing me and i'm like oh my god i'm so sorry i think the edible just kicked in and i don't know what to do and this is so inappropriate so i'm gonna get up and walk back inside the house but like i couldn't

01:30:29 - 01:30:34 | Speaker 1:

stop laughing oh my god it was so embarrassing it was so bad did it make her feel better or no

01:30:34 - 01:30:40 | Speaker 7:

she actually thought it was really funny but i was mortified that's funny also very fun

01:30:40 - 01:31:09 | Speaker 1:

oh i can't do it the last time the last time i felt this way was uh we went to molly and dan's funeral molly was luke's teacher and we were so chelsea was like we got it you know luke's teachers you know uh weddings today and luke the kids were all in the wedding or they all got to go to the wedding so they were all excited to go to the wedding and mom and dad are going i am walking up there they had their wedding at saint mary's i'm walking up the aisle to go to the seat

01:31:09 - 01:31:15 | Speaker 7:

i couldn't feel my feet oh no and i remember you talking and i was marching like one of those what

01:31:15 - 01:31:25 | Speaker 1:

are those soldiers that uh they have over in england whatever they oh those like red ones the royals with the stupid hats yes yeah i was i was marching like one of them you should see my legs where, like, kick it up in the air.

01:31:26 - 01:31:28 | Speaker 5:

Chelsea's like, walk slow.

01:31:28 - 01:31:40 | Speaker 1:

Walk slow. You can do it. I once was so high, I blanked. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. Stephanie, I once was so high, I...

01:31:40 - 01:32:01 | Speaker 5:

I set my alarm on my calculator. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Right. Wait. i literally pulled down the little thing on my phone and where there's plus and minus and divide

01:32:01 - 01:32:15 | Speaker 1:

i set my alarm that is priceless oh my god that's awesome stephanie thank you for sharing that with us uh what's going on sunny hi sunny hi i once was so high sunny i

01:32:15 - 01:32:37 | Speaker 6:

i walked around meyer for two hours trying to shop for my groceries they hit me in the middle of my shopping experience oh how full was your card but i i got nothing but boxes of hostess and a couple bags of chips they probably thought you were casing the place they're probably

01:32:37 - 01:32:43 | Speaker 1:

looking on the security cameras wondering what the hell is this guy doing that's great yeah

01:32:43 - 01:32:48 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, probably when they started realizing I was walking in the cosmetics of the man and not buying any makeup.

01:32:48 - 01:32:48 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's so funny.

01:32:49 - 01:32:53 | Speaker 1:

Ashley, I once was so high. Ashley, what'd you do?

01:32:54 - 01:33:08 | Speaker 3:

We were on a river flow with, like, my cousin and a bunch of friends, and she fell out of the tube, and everybody's jumping out to, like, get her back up. And I'm like, she's fine. She'll make it. She's got a life jacket on.

01:33:09 - 01:33:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. You let your, like, who was it again that fell in? and you're letting him drown that's not very caring that's i this one's not even funny i'm gonna hang up on you that's crazy

01:33:25 - 01:33:37 | Speaker 6:

01:33:54 - 01:34:13 | Speaker 4:

01:34:14 - 01:34:19 | Speaker 1:

How long did it take you to actually touch what was on the bed and put it in your mouth or fingers?

01:34:20 - 01:34:27 | Speaker 4:

I refused. It took me a hot minute. I had to work up the courage to, like, get a whiff, and I was like, oh, my gosh, nope, that's ice cream, and then it quit.

01:34:28 - 01:34:29 | Speaker 1:

That's great.

01:34:29 - 01:34:32 | Speaker 4:

And I don't even like chocolate ice cream, so I knew it was the Eddie.

01:34:32 - 01:34:43 | Speaker 1:

You know it's good when you go to bed with any kind of food, or in that case, ice cream. What's up, Angelica? Is it Angelica, right, Angelica?

01:34:44 - 01:34:47 | Speaker 2:

Yes, Mojo, you always mess up my name.

01:34:47 - 01:34:49 | Speaker 1:

I said it right, though, this time. What's up?

01:34:50 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 2:

Yes, hi. Actually, my friend was so high. We were having a girls' night. You know, like in Detroit, we have those big black trash cans? Yes.

01:35:00 - 01:35:33 | Speaker 4:

it was trash day um she mistaken the trash can from it for like a stalker like intruder and she had us all thinking it was dark and she's like he's right there he's right there and so she calls her boyfriend over he comes outside we're all looking out the window at this point we're all high and she's we're looking out the window it's just like he's right there he's right there he's like where he's walking around in circles he's like the effing trash can He had his gun out in everything, and we were like, oh, my God, we're blown.

01:35:35 - 01:35:41 | Speaker 2:

That's great. Oh, my God, some of these are great. Lydia, which ones do you like the best out of these ones?

01:35:42 - 01:35:44 | Speaker 4:

I think I like line number six.

01:35:44 - 01:35:48 | Speaker 2:

Line six. Crystal, I once was so high, I...

01:35:48 - 01:35:55 | Speaker 5:

Started making dinner. Two hours later, got up, realized that my oven still wasn't... No. Oh, my God.

01:35:55 - 01:36:02 | Speaker 2:

Was your family, like, hating you for the fact that that dinner didn't take forever?

01:36:03 - 01:36:16 | Speaker 5:

Luckily, none of my kids were home, so it was literally just me, my dad, and my husband. But I got up, and I'm like, why isn't the food cooking? Like, why don't I smell anything? And next thing I know, I realized, oh, that was smart, grusper. Way to go. Turn the oven on.

01:36:16 - 01:36:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. That's great. That's so funny. And one last one. Let me grab Randall. Randall, I once was so high, I...

01:36:24 - 01:36:33 | Speaker 1:

I came home from getting my first tattoo and my parents didn't know that I got my first tattoo and I took my jacket off and my mom realized that I had my first tattoo.

01:36:34 - 01:36:37 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you got your first tattoo while you were high? You didn't realize that?

01:36:39 - 01:36:52 | Speaker 1:

No, no, no. I got my first tattoo, smoked a blunt while I was getting my first tattoo, went home, forgot that I got my first tattoo and walked in and they seen it and they were like, what the hell is that? Wanted to keep it a secret, man.

01:36:52 - 01:37:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. All right. It's amazing that you actually got yourself a tattoo that wasn't misspelled or had something wrong on it being that high. That's a good one. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it, buddy. I think out of all those ones, there were some good ones in the beginning. Some of the calls in the beginning were really, really funny.

01:37:11 - 01:37:12 | Speaker 3:

The set for alarm on the calculator is my favorite.

01:37:12 - 01:37:14 | Speaker 2:

It might be one of my favorites.

01:37:15 - 01:37:22 | Speaker 1:

Hey, just wanted to see how not answering my texts or calls is going. Second date update happens at 820 on Mojo in the Morning.

01:37:23 - 01:37:30 | Speaker 2:

mojo in the morning show uh megan go ahead it's this is about something i did

01:37:30 - 01:38:58 | Speaker 3:

i need spoiler alert uh but i'm actually really upset with you because i think that you um do these things every once in a while just to oh no go ahead i'm sorry no no make sure you definitely don't hit the off button on your microphone do it right into the mic everybody wanted to hear that I literally just gagged a little bit. I felt everything from my stomach come up. Anyways, add it to the list of reasons why I'm mad at you right now. You sent a text yesterday, and I think you do this just to cause panic and anxiety. Because you sent something to the group chat that just was the word test, right? Now, I didn't see this text message for two hours. But what I thought was very interesting, and I think y'all were in cahoots together. Some other people in the group chat were in on the buffoonery because Kev and our boss, Tony, liked it right away, which I was like, what's going on? And then I didn't know how to respond. And then it felt like we had all failed, but nobody knew what was going on. So I sat there for 40 minutes thinking about what did it mean? What's happening? Why isn't he responding? Why would he just text the word Tess? What were we supposed to do? Did they have a conversation when I wasn't in the room? I don't know if this is about me. Like, I sat and thought about this all day yesterday. I didn't know what was going on.

01:38:58 - 01:39:45 | Speaker 2:

So, just to be clear on this one here, I was out for lunch with Lydia, and we were discussing some upcoming show things. And for some reason, our text chat got unpinned on my phone. I couldn't find it. So I had to pin it again. So I hit test just to send a text. And by the way, this actually was a good one of those tests of who really cares about you. Because it was the first person is always Zach. You ever notice that? Zach's always the first one to care. And then Megan was second. I was actually kind of surprised by that whole deal. And then Kev, T.T., Tony Travato was on there. Let's see, was Shannon there? Yeah, Shannon was on there.

01:39:45 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 3:

He didn't listen to me at all. But after I put the question mark, nobody said anything. Everybody was just doing like the little question mark, thumbs up, whatever. So then finally, like five hours later, I texted, what does this mean?

01:40:00 - 01:40:11 | Speaker 4:

mean because i was so confused a normal person would send something to the group chat saying hey i lost this text thread just need to find it yada yada yada and said test like we're all on the

01:40:11 - 01:40:27 | Speaker 2:

clock i i was just testing it to see if that was the thread that came through which by the way now i feel like the boy that cried wolf if i actually am in a moment where i'm like needing help or whatever i'm gonna put i need help and megan's gonna go oh yeah right if you were just

01:40:27 - 01:40:33 | Speaker 4:

trying to pin the conversation why did kev and tony like it so fast because i think they were

01:40:33 - 01:40:53 | Speaker 2:

showing me that the test worked right kev is that what i thought it was like a speed you thought it was a test i thought it was like testing so i just hit thumbs up it felt high pressure no it was good i it honestly was really nothing actually lydia uh you were there i just i sent you didn't even respond to it because you were right there with me you knew exactly what i was doing yeah but i

01:40:53 - 01:40:54 | Speaker 5:

I was just going to let Megan talk about it.

01:40:56 - 01:41:00 | Speaker 2:

Come in with some reason why I messed around yesterday.

01:41:01 - 01:41:02 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, actually, everyone's getting fired.

01:41:03 - 01:41:19 | Speaker 2:

Here's the story, though, with Megan on this. Megan doesn't respond to any text messages that I send that are legit valid ones. Like, hey, guys, I need your sizes. The University of Michigan wants to send them. Like, it takes forever to get you. Why do you lie? That's true. Do you guys ever notice that she doesn't?

01:41:20 - 01:41:21 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes it takes you a while. Go ahead.

01:41:22 - 01:41:24 | Speaker 2:

Be honest with her, Shannon. You can hurt her feelings.

01:41:24 - 01:41:32 | Speaker 3:

No, she does respond. The only time that she literally didn't respond at all was the two weeks we were on vacation for Christmas. Like, I thought you were dead.

01:41:32 - 01:41:32 | Speaker 4:

We're on vacation.

01:41:33 - 01:41:34 | Speaker 3:

It is interesting.

01:41:34 - 01:41:37 | Speaker 4:

Check it out, baby. Not what? See, I don't think you responded one time. Do not care.

01:41:38 - 01:41:47 | Speaker 2:

It is interesting, though, that you respond to the most invalid text out of anything I sent. I couldn't believe it. I actually felt honored, though. That was very nice of you.

01:41:47 - 01:41:52 | Speaker 3:

I actually think I was the last one to respond to that one yesterday. I just don't. I don't know.

01:41:52 - 01:41:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and before people are like, you're crazy. Shannon was the one going, what is this about? What are you doing? I'm not the only one in the group chat that was confused.

01:41:59 - 01:42:05 | Speaker 2:

Shannon was the only one that was smart enough to ask, what was this about? Because that was what it was about. So it was about actually nothing.

01:42:05 - 01:42:08 | Speaker 3:

Oh, wait, I lied. KP just liked Tess.

01:42:10 - 01:42:15 | Speaker 2:

I never get responses from KP on text messages. So KP's turned into now Megan.

01:42:15 - 01:42:17 | Speaker 5:

My phone is chronically on do not disturb.

01:42:17 - 01:42:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, now am I.

01:42:21 - 01:42:35 | Speaker 5:

I genuinely thought that was some inside joke between you, Tony, and Kev. No. I saw Kevin and Tony, like, at first, and I'm like, there's something going on that I don't know, so I'm just going to not respond. Or I thought it was you literally just trying to do a test on your phone, like, something weird.

01:42:35 - 01:43:06 | Speaker 2:

It was what it was. I was just looking for that thing. I will tell you this, though, that it is funny that Tony, who you think is never reading our group chats. Boy. He very rarely is in there. Tony knows everything. He doesn't respond, but he reads them because he knows everything. And he'll be like, he'll come to me later and go, yeah, I saw when you did it. I'm like, oh, you didn't acknowledge it. Stealth mode. I don't know how he does that because he gets probably 8 billion texts from other people. But all right. It's Mojo. What's that? Ependous. Oh, did he? No. That's nice of him. Second date update. We ready for that?

01:43:08 - 01:43:10 | Speaker 1:

It's the second date update. I'm Mojo in the morning.

01:43:10 - 01:43:45 | Speaker 2:

Why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? We're going to find out with the second date update. if you would like to be on second date update maybe you went out with somebody and now you're not hearing from them text date to 95500 and we will get you on the show so text date to 95500 obviously there's the legal thing of standard text and data rates to apply that i have to say but i think everybody's good uh marcy's not getting a call back she's getting ghosted I think it's Macy. Or Macy, I'm sorry, Macy. I apologize for mispronouncing your name. How are you doing, Macy?

01:43:45 - 01:43:46 | Speaker 1:

Good morning.

01:43:47 - 01:43:51 | Speaker 2:

So, Macy not getting a call back. And how long has it been since you've heard from him?

01:43:53 - 01:43:55 | Speaker 1:

Certainly more than a week.

01:43:56 - 01:44:00 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so it's been a while. And you thought that the date went great?

01:44:02 - 01:44:16 | Speaker 1:

I thought it was a good date. It was our second or third date. We've just gone out and had some drinks together, getting to know each other. And it seemed like, you know, the next one would just follow along like the others had. And that's been it.

01:44:17 - 01:44:19 | Speaker 2:

And nothing from him, huh?

01:44:19 - 01:44:20 | Speaker 1:

Nothing.

01:44:20 - 01:44:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, there is something to the fact that you're like, what did I do or what went wrong? We're going to find out what's going on. Jared is his name. Jared, will you say hello to Macy? Hey, Macy. Hello. What's going on, Jared? Where have you been?

01:44:40 - 01:44:49 | Speaker 4:

i've uh i've been busy i've got you know i've got stuff going on um but uh what kind of stuff

01:44:49 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 1:

going on like are you are are you i'm work i'm a i'm a software engineer so i'm i just i've got a lot of big projects coming up some deadlines so is it

01:45:00 - 01:45:04 | Speaker 3:

anything to do with macy at all or just to do with the fact that you're just a busy guy right

01:45:04 - 01:46:03 | Speaker 5:

now and that's why you haven't called back i look i i i think she's great i think we had a few good times out i i just had some concerns about uh her still maybe being a little hung up on her ex what made you think that well she brings him up a lot in our conversations uh and i i kept thinking would go away and uh she's comparing her dating life to his dating life he's engaged now this guy i guess because she showed me pictures of like their bridal registry and uh she's telling me you know maybe i i need to get myself to that same place it just uh it felt like too much pressure and it felt yeah it was just a little weird i think as weird as the word for it macy

01:46:03 - 01:46:19 | Speaker 7:

are you still hung up on your ex well i wouldn't say hung up i mean it was the most recent person i was with we were together for some time and um you know this is the first real next step for me

01:46:19 - 01:46:27 | Speaker 3:

You actually showed him the bridal registry? Like that to me seems like a little much.

01:46:30 - 01:46:38 | Speaker 1:

I thought he should see it. Well, why? You shouldn't even be looking at that. That is not good for your head.

01:46:42 - 01:46:45 | Speaker 7:

Well. No. I know. No.

01:46:46 - 01:46:56 | Speaker 3:

Jared, are you thinking the entire time? Are you thinking that if you got into a relationship with her and it didn't work out, that she's going to be still, like, following you afterwards? And, like, I would think that.

01:46:56 - 01:46:56 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:46:57 - 01:46:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:46:57 - 01:47:08 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'd need to get, like, an alias or something and, like, change all my profiles. Yeah, I just, it felt a little stalkery to me and a little desperate, too.

01:47:08 - 01:47:31 | Speaker 1:

It doesn't feel as stalkery to me as it feels like, Macy, maybe you are not ready to date again. and you're only trying to put yourself out there because your ex has and has gotten to this place where he's now engaged, and, like, you feel like you need to catch up. Like, it sounds like you got some feeling to do.

01:47:31 - 01:47:33 | Speaker 3:

How long ago was this relationship?

01:47:35 - 01:47:42 | Speaker 7:

Um, well, they've been engaged and have a registry, so I didn't know you. No, I know. He's asking about you.

01:47:42 - 01:47:52 | Speaker 3:

How long ago was it that you dated this guy? How long, I mean, this guy seems like he's, If he's got a wedding registry and he's engaged, this guy hasn't been in your life in a while and you're still thinking about him?

01:47:52 - 01:47:57 | Speaker 1:

Unless he moves real fast. Well, it's probably almost a year.

01:47:58 - 01:48:00 | Speaker 2:

It's hard to meet people at bingo.

01:48:02 - 01:48:10 | Speaker 3:

Listen, Macy, I have one question, and this is an obvious. Who's better looking, your ex or Jared?

01:48:10 - 01:48:20 | Speaker 7:

i guess i sort of have a type but i think jared you know i think he's a he's a nice looking guy

01:48:20 - 01:48:26 | Speaker 3:

okay all right uh you should come right out with jared uh what's up morgan hi what's going on

01:48:27 - 01:48:40 | Speaker 4:

hey good morning guys good morning i don't uh i don't mean it in a mean way but in general if you're on dates with just starting the dating process with anyone you shouldn't be talking about your ex if you're spending a lot of time talking about your ex you're just not ready to

01:48:40 - 01:49:08 | Speaker 3:

agree agree a thousand percent and the problem is even in past ones we've had people go no you can talk about your relationships i don't think you should ever bring up an ex and if somebody asks you about a relationship that you've been in i'd give them the most vague answer ever like i think exactly keep it short and sweet i think the most you talk about them is going to make you look crazy not them be crazy really even if they're the crazy ones 100 i don't know i feel like trauma

01:49:08 - 01:49:13 | Speaker 2:

bonding is real sometimes you get in situations where you break up with somebody or they break

01:49:13 - 01:49:22 | Speaker 3:

up with somebody and that's how y'all connect i think that you there's nothing you can do but make yourself look like you're the crazy person i don't know carrie what are your thoughts what

01:49:22 - 01:49:29 | Speaker 6:

do you think about macy and jared here first of all kevin be nice and have a snickers what did i

01:49:29 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 2:

do that tickled you kp you're sassy this morning mister look i'm gonna be you probably right i'm

01:49:38 - 01:49:44 | Speaker 3:

not feeling well so my feels my feels it was the bingo it was the bingo all right say your comment

01:49:44 - 01:49:51 | Speaker 6:

she needs to slow down a little bit you need to take some new time

01:49:51 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 3:

because it's a lot yeah but it's been a while though carrie that's the thing like it's i know

01:49:59 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 6:

that's why she needs

01:50:00 - 01:50:27 | Speaker 7:

to slow down yeah i know or your pace or don't slow down carrie maybe she just needs to go out and have fun and forget talking about i'm like get into a new relationship the best way you know for her to get over this guy is to get under some other guy and find somebody else that might be in a better position right like if she doesn't talk about jared are you attracted to her like is she an attractive woman that you thought she was pretty yes okay yeah she's look i stuck through

01:50:27 - 01:50:29 | Speaker 6:

three dates going through this.

01:50:29 - 01:50:37 | Speaker 7:

So she doesn't bring up the ex and this fiance in their wedding registry. You're thinking she's great. She blew it by bringing this whole thing up.

01:50:38 - 01:50:38 | Speaker 4:

100%.

01:50:38 - 01:50:41 | Speaker 7:

All right. I hope that we helped with that, Macy.

01:50:43 - 01:50:44 | Speaker 2:

I appreciate it.

01:50:46 - 01:50:47 | Speaker 6:

So y'all going out again?

01:50:52 - 01:50:52 | Speaker 7:

Jared?

01:50:52 - 01:50:55 | Speaker 6:

I don't think so. No. Okay. Yeah, fair. No, no. That's fair.

01:50:56 - 01:51:03 | Speaker 7:

All right. Thank you for the call. And by the way, old people don't all go to bingo. You know, Lydia was at bingo last night with Bianca. I love bingo.

01:51:03 - 01:51:04 | Speaker 6:

Lydia.

01:51:04 - 01:51:10 | Speaker 3:

Did you go again last night? I go every Tuesday. Do you? Me, my mom, her friends, Bianca now.

01:51:10 - 01:51:16 | Speaker 7:

Do they do the, wait, do they do the whole thing where they do like B5, B5, like any of that?

01:51:16 - 01:51:21 | Speaker 3:

No, it's a Keldean lady. So it's like, B-thairy. B-thairy. Oh my God, I want to go so bad.

01:51:22 - 01:51:29 | Speaker 5:

This is the home of the dirty of the 30. Throwback Throwdown, Second Date Update, and War of the Roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:51:30 - 01:52:00 | Speaker 7:

All right, we're going to give you tickets to go see Katy Perry. Katy Perry is going to be at Little Caesars Arena August the 3rd. Tickets are on sale right now, Ticketmaster.com. You can win them from us, 95th caller, at 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, 95th caller. Next hour, an hour from now, we have Kendrick and SZA tickets. They're performing at the Super Bowl. There's a lot of stuff. The Super Bowl is going to be an interesting one because there's a lot of controversy. The NFL is getting themselves caught up in a little controversy.

01:52:00 - 01:52:02 | Speaker 4:

We've got some Super Bowl dirty this in a couple of times.

01:52:02 - 01:52:09 | Speaker 7:

In this one? Yeah, there's some controversy with what the NFL is doing, what they've got going on, and then Shannon's got the rest in the dirty here, I'm sure.

01:52:10 - 01:52:12 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the morning is dirty on the 30.

01:52:12 - 01:52:14 | Speaker 7:

All right, Shannon, what you got in this hour is dirty on the 30. What are you doing?

01:52:15 - 01:52:19 | Speaker 4:

I have to hold some space for Megan right now, who said she has a shout-out for somebody.

01:52:21 - 01:52:35 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. So I met three listeners last night, Madison, Rachel, and Sandy from Hill Orthopedic and Pendulum Vein and Vascular. And they were all incredible. And they listened to this dirty. And I just wanted to say hi and had a lot of fun with you guys last night.

01:52:35 - 01:52:35 | Speaker 7:

Hello.

01:52:36 - 01:53:13 | Speaker 4:

I am hopefully not mispronouncing her name, but Coltita Woods, who was Tiger Woods' mom, passed away yesterday morning. And he announced this news on his Instagram. He did not reveal how his mom, who was 78 years old, by the way, how she passed in his social media post. But he did describe her as a force of nature, said she was his biggest supporter. From the time she drove him to junior golf tournaments to being there for all of his 15 major championships, often wearing her big old visor and sunglasses. If you're a golf fan, you know exactly what I'm talking about. But yeah, so.

01:53:15 - 01:53:16 | Speaker 7:

Our condolences to Tiger.

01:53:17 - 01:53:48 | Speaker 4:

The Dallas Mavericks are offering refunds to fans who have canceled their season tickets in the wake of this Luka Doncic trade. He's obviously going to the Lakers. We heard a couple of days ago Mavericks fans understandably pretty pissed off about this trade, a trade that really blindsided everybody. Hundreds have been protesting outside of the American Airlines Center. Here's Luka, by the way, talking about this.

01:53:49 - 01:54:04 | Speaker 2:

Well, it was honestly, it was hard first. That first day was really hard. I felt like this last 48 hours was one month, like two days ago was one month ago. So emotionally, it was really hard.

01:54:04 - 01:54:09 | Speaker 4:

And Lakers GM Rob Palenka sharing why this deal had to be kept so under wraps.

01:54:10 - 01:54:26 | Speaker 1:

When the concept was initially introduced to us, it was, hey, The only way we could even have these discussions was if it's between owner and GMs. And there was a commitment to that. And if we broke that commitment by talking to anyone else, this day would never happen.

01:54:27 - 01:54:52 | Speaker 6:

Quick question, Mojo, and I'm interested to get your thoughts. You're a little bit older than I am, so you have more experience and knowledge on how the NBA was and if it's changed. But I feel like with this new generation, I'm seeing more loyalty to a player than a team, which brings up the point of shannon's initial reason for the dirty is that people are asking for refunds because one player is not leaving the franchise well i think that if you would

01:54:52 - 01:55:29 | Speaker 7:

have traded michael jordan or isaiah thomas or back in the day we saw this with chauncey when chauncey got traded to denver Thank you.

01:55:00 - 01:55:05 | Speaker 2:

Pistons fans were pissed and I don't know what the specifics were but I knew that I gave up my season tickets

01:55:05 - 01:55:06 | Speaker 6:

yeah me too

01:55:06 - 01:56:20 | Speaker 2:

yeah because I thought it was first off everybody was excited they thought that they were bringing Allen Iverson in here and it was going to be great Allen Iverson was a bust he was awful and Chauncey was a Piston and so long story short I still think that people are loyal to a team I think there's a lot of people that are Luka fans that don't live in Dallas you know what I mean like he's one of those players that's iconic enough that people go out and buy you know his jersey sales and stuff like that there's something that that Dallas Mavericks are doing here that you'd think that these guys might it it's the financial end of things because they just got bought and maybe these people are like hey we're not putting all this money out on this guy we don't feel like he's gonna end up you know being as great as he is right now five ten years from now and that could kill our franchise it's either that or they think that if they get a player like uh ad if they bring him in here they can make the the finals and they can win with him where they didn't think that luca donchish's efforts on defense probably could get him i don't know i'm watching like steven a and all these guys talking about this i feel like everybody's swaying back and forth on if it's a good trade or a bad trade like i don't think you know i think that it's great for the lakers but i think the lakers still aren't going to be good enough

01:56:20 - 01:56:30 | Speaker 4:

with this lil wayne said he is skipping the sunday super bowl even though it is taking place in his hometown of new orleans this is from his instagram story it's actually it's actually on there right

01:56:30 - 01:56:48 | Speaker 1:

now y'all know i'm not gonna be there this week which means i guess there's a seat to fill shout out to new orleans but i've been working on something very special i got something exciting coming for you thursday the 6th till then

01:56:48 - 01:56:55 | Speaker 4:

so keep your eyes open for some sort of announcement happening tomorrow he was in

01:56:55 - 01:57:35 | Speaker 2:

Detroit doing stuff last week with a rocket, so I wonder if there's anything to that. But he also never left. They said that he was hanging out at the MGM. Still here? Gambling like a maniac there. Yeah. He's out of the butt hurt. Young money, baby. Did you see that? And I did not know this, but I saw that President Trump's going to go to the Super Bowl. I did not know it will be the first time ever that a president has ever been at a Super Bowl. Wow. I didn't know. Yeah. First time that a president has ever been at a Super Bowl game will be this weekend if he does do that. I'm shocked that the Secret Service is letting this happen with two attempts on the man's life.

01:57:35 - 01:57:35 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:57:36 - 01:57:43 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. It seems like a, I know there's a lot of security stuff that goes into things, but that seems like that would make it that you have to be even more secure.

01:57:43 - 01:57:44 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:57:44 - 01:57:44 | Speaker 2:

Yep.

01:57:44 - 01:58:10 | Speaker 4:

Ariana Grande on one of my absolute favorite podcasts, the Smart List podcast with Jason Bateman and those two other guys. Whoa, But one of the things that she was talking about, and I wanted to play this particular clip is because we've talked about this many, many times, how she changes her voice in certain interviews that she does. She has a reason for it.

01:58:11 - 01:58:26 | Speaker 5:

If I have a long day of press or if I have to sing, I'll place it a little higher. So I'll change my vocal placement to kind of preserve. um but that is just kind of something that's healthy for the voice and whatever that's something

01:58:26 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 6:

because staying staying higher gives less stress on it than than talking in a lower register even

01:58:32 - 01:59:01 | Speaker 5:

yeah it's just a normal thing for vocalists but people are like that's not her natural voice and And I'm like, well, it is actually, but it's just a little higher because all of it is natural. And it's so funny because we've talked about it a zillion times and people are still like, where's your real voice? And I'm like, well, they all are. So this makes sense.

01:59:01 - 01:59:14 | Speaker 4:

If you are a theater kid or if you are a singer, you know that if you are experiencing like laryngitis or something, you're supposed to talk like Julia Child. Like you're supposed to talk in a higher register because it preserves your voice. You don't believe it, do you?

01:59:14 - 01:59:23 | Speaker 2:

I don't. It's facts, bro. Thanks, bro. Whenever I see, like, people that start talking with accents and things like that, like these artists, I feel like they want to be, they want to be.

01:59:23 - 01:59:48 | Speaker 3:

Well, like Britney Spears having a British accent is apples and oranges. But that's where I think she skirted the question. They are asking about why do you choose to use different words or act differently in interviews. Like, there are so many interviews where she's Glinda. And there are other interviews where she comes off a little bit culture vultry. and so I think people were more interested that explanation

01:59:48 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 4:

made sense to me but that doesn't explain some of those other things yes for fairness and lastly CBS's live broadcast of the Grammy Awards Sunday night attracted about 15 and a half million viewers that

02:00:00 - 02:00:21 | Speaker 1:

That's down just under 9% from the 17 mil that watched last year. And like other big Hollywood award shows, the Grammys has just kind of seen its ratings steadily decline over the years. Grammy viewership peaked at 40 million in 2012 and then has dropped in the following years. For all of today's Dirty Catch-Up on the podcast on the iHeartRadio app or mojointhemorning.com.

Hello, good morning. How are you?

02:00:39 - 02:01:32 | Speaker 2:

Sierra, I'm talking like Ariana Grande right now to save my voice. Oh, my goodness. Are you preserving your vocal voice? Oh, I have to go higher. Yes. Oh, my goodness. Hey, I'm going to talk like Katy Perry and tell you that you're a winner. Congratulations. Oh, my goodness. I'm so excited. Thank you guys so much. I honestly always heard she does a great show. Well, you're going to enjoy it. Congratulations. She'll be at Little Caesars Arena. Tickets are on sale right now at Ticketmaster.com. Show is in August. Thank you guys so much. You are so welcome. Kendrick and SZA tickets for you coming up in less than an hour, so don't go anywhere. When we come back here next on the Mojo in the Morning show, the foods that you can't eat seductively. What are the worst foods to order when you are on a date? You've got to call yourself out and tell us next. You and your new man are so happy,

02:01:32 - 02:01:40 | Speaker 3:

which is why he's DMing his ex-girlfriend behind your back. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens tomorrow morning at 7 and 9. On Mojo in the Morning.

02:01:52 - 02:03:02 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning This happened to me like a week or so ago I don't even know, maybe two weeks ago I don't know, I can't put it together But I was having a conversation with friends about this Because we were talking about whether or not we should go back And eat there and try this But there's a place by my house that I love And they're known for, as far as I'm concerned They're nachos I love their nachos. But to others, they are known for their all-you-can-eat crab legs. Like, these crab legs are, like, supposedly the deal. And everybody goes there, and they eat like they are on the, you know, about to get put in the electric chair. You know? Like, they are just going crazy. And I went there one time, and I shouldn't call out my friend, but. No, I won't call. I won't say his name. Come on, man. I went with him. He's a buddy. He's a really good buddy. He must have ordered 15 of the freaking orders. Like, it got to a point where Kelly, the waitress, was like, are you sure? Like, she was like.

02:03:02 - 02:03:03 | Speaker 1:

Is it all you can eat?

02:03:03 - 02:04:23 | Speaker 2:

It's all you can eat. It's all you can eat crab legs. And it was, to me, the funniest thing is they do all you can eat crab legs that comes with a salad. I think that's the funniest. Why do you say that? Crab legs is healthy, right? No, but it's funny when the crab, it's all you can eat crab legs. Like, you're going to eat so many crab legs that your hands are going to, like, freeze. Something happens to you, I think, that your joints start hurting you because you're eating so much. But they give you a salad, a little teeny dinner salad with it, with croutons and stuff on it. And would you like a choice of ranch or, you know, whatever. But my buddy ate so many that Kelly was like, I'm going to get the number for the fire department here because this guy's going to be in Beaumont tonight. It was funny. So long story short, and I bring this up not for that reason of just talking about, you know, the food, but it's the type of food. And I found this to be very interesting. There was another couple that was sitting at a table, and they were probably, I'm guessing, 30, okay? And they were a cute couple, and they looked like they were on a date with each other. Like they looked like they were kind of like a first or second time out with each other. And I'm like, oh, this is cute. Cute couple's going. And then I realized, oh, Kelly did a whole setup with the bowl and the little thing that the nutcracker. And I'm like, they ordered all you can eat crab legs on a date.

02:04:23 - 02:04:27 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I'm so invested when I realize it's like a first or second date. I can't stop watching.

02:04:27 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

It's wild. And I'm watching these guys and they're about to eat. And this guy's going at it and she's trying to figure out how to crack the bone. And it's all. And then it got me thinking. And this is where my friend came into play yesterday when I was telling him the story about this. foods you can't eat seductively and what I mean is if you go on a date you can't order these foods because it's never going to lead to you guys ever after the date's over with doing anything other than yeah it's not the bonk chihuahua is not happening right right

02:05:00 - 02:05:19 | Speaker 5:

When you've got to use wet wipes at the end of a date. So I came up with a top five list. Can I do my top five? Okay, I want to hear. This is my top five here right now. Hold on. My top five. This reminds me of the David Letterman. Exactly. I literally was thinking of that. I miss him so much. Remember that top ten list was great. He's smoking weed and growing beards, you know?

02:05:19 - 02:05:23 | Speaker 2:

My dad sends out top ten lists. David Letterman style all the time.

02:05:23 - 02:05:34 | Speaker 5:

It's the best. All right, here you go. Here are the five food items that you can't eat sexy. Coming in at number five, a Caesar salad. You can't do a Caesar salad sexy.

02:05:35 - 02:05:38 | Speaker 4:

You're right, unless you cut it up and you make it very small bites.

02:05:38 - 02:05:39 | Speaker 5:

Definitely got to be chopped.

02:05:39 - 02:05:40 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:05:40 - 02:05:49 | Speaker 5:

Coming in at number four, ribs. You can't do ribs. I just worry. Unless it's a phallic thing and you're talking about the bones.

02:05:49 - 02:05:51 | Speaker 4:

You're sucking on a bone.

02:05:51 - 02:06:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Oh, get that as a drop for me, Zach, will you please? Shannon's saying that. Coming in at number three, any type of lobster or crab legs or any of that stuff. Anything that you're wearing a bib and you're not sexy. You know what I mean? If they give you a bib, it's bad. Number two, a burger. Yes.

02:06:12 - 02:06:20 | Speaker 4:

I'm happy that's made the list. If you're eating something and crap plops out the other end, it is not seductive.

02:06:20 - 02:06:45 | Speaker 5:

It's not good. And number one of the items that I feel like you cannot eat seductively or sexy or order on a date, hard shell tacos. Oh, I was going to say tacos. Yes. You can't. No, you can't eat hard shell tacos. The reason you crack into that damn thing, first off, and I should have put sushi on here because I've eaten with Megan and she has literally, watch her eat sushi.

02:06:46 - 02:06:49 | Speaker 2:

How do you eat sushi? I don't know. I'd love for you to clarify.

02:06:50 - 02:06:54 | Speaker 5:

She bites the sushi. You're supposed to eat it whole. When I ate sushi with you.

02:06:55 - 02:07:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Truly, though, yes, he is right about this. Remember, it was that social media post where the piece of fish was like, I'm not kidding you, like 10 inches long. Like, it was so, it was, if I would have put the whole thing in my mouth, I would have choked. Would have died, for sure. That's what she said. But that's not how I normally eat sushi.

02:07:14 - 02:07:21 | Speaker 5:

But when Megan was eating, I actually had to stop the thing because the lady that works at Sushi Samurai was like, you can't bite into that.

02:07:22 - 02:07:24 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so I think you missed one.

02:07:24 - 02:07:24 | Speaker 5:

What?

02:07:24 - 02:07:33 | Speaker 4:

And maybe the tacos, maybe your number one could fall into this category. Anything that you have to tilt your head to eat, to me, is not subjective.

02:07:33 - 02:07:36 | Speaker 5:

Which one would be, what would be a tilt your head one?

02:07:36 - 02:07:36 | Speaker 4:

The taco. The taco.

02:07:37 - 02:07:40 | Speaker 5:

Christina, are you there? Hi.

02:07:40 - 02:07:46 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I was going to say sushi too. Hey. Because you have to put the whole thing in your mouth.

02:07:46 - 02:07:46 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

02:07:47 - 02:07:49 | Speaker 3:

But I don't think sushi is that bad.

02:07:51 - 02:07:51 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah.

02:07:52 - 02:07:55 | Speaker 3:

Like, if you get a big piece, you can't take half a bite, you know?

02:07:55 - 02:08:14 | Speaker 5:

The other thing, too, Christina, and this is something that people don't think about. If you eat sushi on a first date, do you really want to kiss that guy when you're in the parking lot or wherever with fish breath? Fish breath. Do you want to smell like tuna? You know what I mean?

02:08:14 - 02:08:16 | Speaker 3:

Probably not.

02:08:16 - 02:08:26 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so I always say that. Like, I think you've got to find something that, I don't know, tastes and smells and, you know, is easy to eat. I don't know, all that stuff.

02:08:26 - 02:08:36 | Speaker 4:

What is a desired first date food then? They're all chicken and rice and vegetables. Yeah. You know what? Like steak, something you could cut up small.

02:08:36 - 02:08:40 | Speaker 5:

Or maybe tepon or something like that. What is that?

02:08:41 - 02:08:41 | Speaker 4:

What is that?

02:08:41 - 02:08:45 | Speaker 5:

Like they cook in front of you. Like how they cook and chop it all up.

02:08:45 - 02:08:48 | Speaker 4:

Then you smell like that for the next 10 days.

02:08:48 - 02:08:52 | Speaker 5:

No, that's not a good one. Plus, you're not really seeing them. You're not looking at them, right?

02:08:52 - 02:08:57 | Speaker 4:

And I don't want to try to catch the peeing boys' sake with my new date next to me.

02:08:57 - 02:09:13 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to be honest with you, man. I don't know what's worse. People who eat sloppily, that's a word, or people who try to eat like they're too cute to eat. Like, to me, that's annoying. I don't like you trying to look perfect and trying to dice up your food and trying to look all cool. Like, you look dumb to me.

02:09:13 - 02:09:24 | Speaker 5:

I hate when you go out and the girl doesn't eat. She asks for it to be brought home. Because you know she's going on the way home and stopping the drive-thru.

02:09:24 - 02:09:36 | Speaker 2:

And smashing. Yeah, but sometimes that's on you. I say this every time Mojo and I go out to eat. He interviews me the whole time, so I'm talking. He eats his entire meal, and then he's ready to go. So I'm eating in the car on the way home.

02:09:36 - 02:09:53 | Speaker 5:

Well, I do do that. What I do is I ask very in-depth questions, which requires you to give a long answer. And then you eat. Yeah. I went to lunch yesterday with Lydia, which by the way, shout out to Louie's Ham and Corned Beef. Is that what the name of that place was?

02:09:53 - 02:09:54 | Speaker 4:

Oh, was that over here right in the corner?

02:09:54 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 5:

It was. Seriously? A lot of McDonald's. I found a new favorite here in the neighborhood. Really? It was great, honestly.

02:10:00 - 02:10:04 | Speaker 1:

do they get the corned beef from the global across the street no not from across the street but from

02:10:04 - 02:10:29 | Speaker 3:

the place next door the piggly wiggly or something like that or the piggy something but it's really good it's honestly incredible uh amanda what's up it's mojo in the morning hi hi good afternoon good morning actually chicken wings chicken wings yes you can't go to b dubs and and have a date Why, bro, smash? Boneless is okay.

02:10:29 - 02:10:31 | Speaker 1:

No, bone ends are easy.

02:10:32 - 02:10:36 | Speaker 5:

Really? Yes, you take off the wing part, right?

02:10:36 - 02:10:41 | Speaker 1:

The part that doesn't have any real meat on it, and then you twist one of the bones out, and then you peel the meat off the other bone. It's easy.

02:10:42 - 02:10:43 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow.

02:10:43 - 02:10:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I don't know.

02:10:44 - 02:10:45 | Speaker 1:

You can eat it all in one bite.

02:10:46 - 02:10:52 | Speaker 3:

What is that one song? She don't eat meat, but she sure like the bone. Isn't there like an, uh, what's his name?

02:10:52 - 02:10:56 | Speaker 1:

What is that song? What's his name? I don't. Yeah, play that song.

02:10:56 - 02:11:07 | Speaker 2:

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. Miguel got a song. No, wait. It's like, she don't eat me, but she's vegan tonight. She's vegan, but she's going to eat Naramore. Oh, are you talking about this?

02:11:07 - 02:11:08 | Speaker 1:

Is this real new age girl?

02:11:08 - 02:11:10 | Speaker 2:

New age girl. Dead eye dick.

02:11:10 - 02:11:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, dead eye dick. Krista, what's up?

02:11:12 - 02:11:13 | Speaker 1:

No.

02:11:14 - 02:11:16 | Speaker 3:

Hi, first time long time.

02:11:16 - 02:11:18 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Mr. Miss Summer Mode.

02:11:19 - 02:11:20 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

02:11:21 - 02:11:35 | Speaker 5:

I love it. So popcorn. You can't eat popcorn on a first date. You know, you go to the movies, one kernel at a time, and then you're in, you know, six, seven months later, you're going to shove that right down your throat. Like, you just can't on that first date.

02:11:35 - 02:11:39 | Speaker 3:

And the funny thing is that you get stuff in your teeth, too, right?

02:11:39 - 02:11:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's, yeah.

02:11:41 - 02:11:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's actually an interesting thing to have happen. You need to have, like, those pics with you.

02:11:47 - 02:11:48 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:11:48 - 02:11:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. It sounds like going to dinner or anywhere to eat on a first date is off limits.

02:11:52 - 02:12:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's like everybody here is saying, I can't scarf down food cute, so I can't eat it. No, you can eat popcorn. You just can't shovel it in like a normal human being.

02:12:01 - 02:12:13 | Speaker 3:

That's not how I eat, though. What's going on, Vinny? How you doing, Vinny? Hey, what's up, my man? What's up, buddy? We're talking about foods you cannot eat seductively.

02:12:14 - 02:12:40 | Speaker 6:

Well, it goes both ways. This way with the crawfish. Man, I used to eat crawfish. Took the heads off of them. and we at the restaurant, and this one lady at one time stopped in the middle of the table, had a date, and I like to take my first dates when I eat crawfish, and the lady stopped at the head of the table. She said, girl, you're a lucky girl.

02:12:42 - 02:12:58 | Speaker 3:

By the way, she knew that you were going to get some crawfish later that night. Is crawfish, by the way, can I be honest with you? Is crawfish a black people food? It's a soul food. Because I don't know any many white people that eat crawfish.

02:12:58 - 02:13:02 | Speaker 2:

Them white boys down in the bayou, they tearing up them crawfish. They do? Okay.

02:13:02 - 02:13:04 | Speaker 6:

They love that.

02:13:04 - 02:13:08 | Speaker 1:

When you do a seafood boil, don't you usually have crawfish in there? You can.

02:13:09 - 02:13:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. I don't know if I've ever even ordered crawfish before. I don't think I've ever had it. Shauna, hi. What is the food that you can't eat seductively?

02:13:21 - 02:13:23 | Speaker 4:

I think coney dogs.

02:13:23 - 02:13:27 | Speaker 1:

You cannot eat a coney dog. Also, why are you doing that to yourself on a date?

02:13:28 - 02:13:29 | Speaker 3:

Coney dogs.

02:13:29 - 02:13:37 | Speaker 4:

I'm like, you can't. I don't have a personal experience, but you definitely can't. From a girl or a guy, neither one, it can be seductive. Yeah. Yeah.

02:13:37 - 02:13:39 | Speaker 3:

At all. You're going to smell like a coney dog, too.

02:13:39 - 02:13:39 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:13:40 - 02:13:45 | Speaker 3:

Plus, if you order the coney dog wrong, and you don't order the coney dog with mustard and onions on it, you know?

02:13:46 - 02:13:46 | Speaker 1:

I'm not judging.

02:13:47 - 02:13:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. What about soup? Soup is one.

02:13:50 - 02:14:07 | Speaker 1:

If you're a slurper, what if you're getting high and order soup a lot? On a date? Yeah. Where y'all going? Could you imagine if somebody was making noises when they eat their soup? Is that heavy? No, I will say French onion. If you have that, like, large layer of cheese, you can't do that.

02:14:07 - 02:14:07 | Speaker 3:

No.

02:14:08 - 02:14:09 | Speaker 1:

But I think if you've got, like, minestrone.

02:14:10 - 02:14:21 | Speaker 3:

But you're right, though. The French onion soup. Why is it that one time you feel like it's, like, I don't know. It's just constantly. It's the guy at the circus, like pulling out the handkerchief out of his mouth.

02:14:21 - 02:14:25 | Speaker 1:

There is something about the cheese specifically in that soup that just will not tear apart.

02:14:25 - 02:14:27 | Speaker 3:

But it's so good. I love it.

02:14:27 - 02:14:40 | Speaker 2:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live.

02:14:42 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 3:

This hour on the Mojo in the Morning show, you heard it on Mojo in the Morning, but you're going to get to hear from her as she comes in studio this morning. The woman who says that Lyft made her not be able to drive a car because they said that she was too big for the car.

02:15:00 - 02:15:23 | Speaker 1:

car, that Lyft car that came and picked her up. She's a local rapper. Dank DeMille is her name. DeMoss. Or DeMoss is her name. Dank DeMille. Who's Dank DeMille? For some reason, I always thought that there was a person named Dank DeMille. Maybe that's relative. She's coming in studio this morning here. So we're going to have her in studio with us in just a little bit. And we got Kendrick and SZA tickets on the way. Paying your bills right after Five Lies to Tell Your Mom.

02:17:07 - 02:17:19 | Speaker 1:

You have to say it exactly like Megan just did. Okay. And lie number five. He invited me over for dinner tomorrow and told me that he's going to give me a great night.

02:17:19 - 02:17:24 | Speaker 2:

02:19:44 - 02:19:51 | Speaker 1:

Mom, before you hang up the phone, Mom, just know that this is Mojo in the Morning.

02:19:53 - 02:19:58 | Speaker 2:

Oh, y'all want to play? Let me have you on five lives to tell your mom.

02:20:00 - 02:20:12 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. You did not put me through. Go on. Come on. Yes? No, ma'am. Yes, ma'am. Yes, ma'am. I cannot believe y'all.

02:20:13 - 02:20:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

02:20:14 - 02:20:20 | Speaker 6:

I am at work. This is what y'all are doing. I got a whole headache. Because I'm about to go handle everybody.

02:20:20 - 02:20:22 | Speaker 3:

I think Jamar was going to get it.

02:20:22 - 02:20:24 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Jamar, by the way.

02:20:24 - 02:20:25 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, everybody was going to get it. Yeah.

02:20:27 - 02:20:32 | Speaker 4:

Brittany had you on Five Lies. And you know what? She just won you a prize. Congratulations, Mom.

02:20:33 - 02:20:40 | Speaker 5:

That's a pretty good one. Don't do that again. Don't do it again. Don't do it again, man.

02:20:40 - 02:20:44 | Speaker 4:

Are you going to tell Tiffany that this happened? Are you guys going to tell her ahead of time?

02:20:44 - 02:20:46 | Speaker 6:

I sure am. I sure am.

02:20:46 - 02:20:50 | Speaker 4:

You should not say a thing and let her just hear it. Let her just get calls from everybody.

02:20:51 - 02:20:53 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, because that's what's going to happen.

02:20:53 - 02:20:53 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah.

02:20:54 - 02:20:56 | Speaker 6:

And see, they don't understand. Tiffany's going to be worse than me.

02:20:56 - 02:20:57 | Speaker 3:

I love it.

02:20:59 - 02:20:59 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

02:20:59 - 02:21:00 | Speaker 3:

Get it from her mama.

02:21:01 - 02:21:03 | Speaker 6:

That's right, always.

02:21:03 - 02:21:06 | Speaker 3:

And Jamar's going to get his ass beat. Jamar, don't you get any thoughts?

02:21:06 - 02:21:13 | Speaker 6:

I'm going to smack him a couple of times. If it wasn't coming down, I was going to smack him, run him over something. Of course, Jamar has not done anything, but he's going to get hit.

02:21:14 - 02:21:19 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Morning. Five lies to tell your mama.

This morning here on the Mojo in the Morning Show, we're going to talk about what could be one of the biggest cases to come out of Detroit in a long time. This morning on the show, we have a special guest in the studio with us. Although, hold on. Lydia's in my ear saying something. Say it on the radio. You said that I'm supposed to play some type of music here right now instead of the People's Court music?

02:22:32 - 02:22:39 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, so Dank has a single out right now, and I'm going to consider it her walk-up song. It's called So What.

02:22:40 - 02:22:41 | Speaker 4:

Oh, so I'm playing. Hold on a second.

02:22:42 - 02:22:44 | Speaker 3:

Wait, I love this. No, Dank DeMoss. Yes.

02:22:44 - 02:22:45 | Unknown:

I'm playing myself.

02:22:45 - 02:23:20 | Speaker 4:

Hold on a second. Hold on a second. Let me get it here for a second. I do this right. If you're coming in studio, if you're willing to wake up this early in the morning and come in with us, I got to make sure I do it right. You heard this woman's story first here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. You saw it all over social media. This woman is a national phenom, and now she's going to spin this off into a big-time payday. Did you hear that I divorced Chelsea, and now I'm marrying Dank DeMille? Dank DeMoss? DeMoss. We're getting married together. I got to marry her now because when she gets her big court settlement, I want to have some of that money.

02:23:20 - 02:23:24 | Speaker 8:

How do you feel about that? Yeah, that's all you need to say. It's okay.

02:23:25 - 02:23:27 | Speaker 7:

I don't know, y'all.

02:23:27 - 02:23:30 | Speaker 4:

I promise you, I'm good with my money. I'm good with my money.

02:23:30 - 02:23:33 | Speaker 7:

I'm trying to fight for what's right. Let's do that first. Yeah.

02:23:33 - 02:23:36 | Speaker 4:

I know, but we're going to make some money. Hold on a second. Real quick. Here we go.

02:23:36 - 02:23:38 | Speaker 7:

I ain't worried about the money right now. I'm worried about my right. Hey.

02:23:39 - 02:23:42 | Speaker 4:

Here we go. Let's play some music then. How about that then? What do you think? Let's do it.

02:23:42 - 02:23:42 | Unknown:

All right.

02:23:45 - 02:23:47 | Speaker 4:

Is this the clean version, hopefully?

02:23:48 - 02:23:48 | Speaker 6:

Yes.

02:23:49 - 02:23:51 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Dank DeMoss.

02:23:51 - 02:23:57 | Speaker 6:

Young girls always what about what dank doing? Who dank loving? What dank got going on?

02:23:57 - 02:24:26 | Speaker 5:

Worry about y'all. Get a man. Keep a man. Do that first. They don't understand because they ain't never had no loving. Okay. I've been the truth and I will never find another. Yeah, we fighting for us, but that don't mean we hate each other. I'm flippin' out if he ever try to find another knee We be breakin' up, but he know what the cool should be He say I'm the illest, he know not to play with me You're like SZA.

02:24:26 - 02:24:27 | Speaker 4:

This is unbelievable.

02:24:28 - 02:24:29 | Speaker 5:

My SZA. This do not sound like SZA.

02:24:30 - 02:24:32 | Speaker 4:

What does she sound like that? I don't know.

02:24:32 - 02:24:34 | Speaker 5:

It sounds cold, though. Aaliyah.

02:24:34 - 02:24:44 | Speaker 4:

She sounds like Aaliyah. It sounds cold. This is good. By the way, why do they call you a rapper? This sounds like you're a performer. You're a singer.

02:24:44 - 02:24:46 | Speaker 7:

I am. I am an artist.

02:24:46 - 02:24:48 | Speaker 4:

What microphone are you talking into?

02:24:48 - 02:24:50 | Speaker 8:

The microphone keeps falling in.

02:24:51 - 02:24:54 | Speaker 7:

I am an artist. I do both. I rap. I sing.

02:24:55 - 02:24:56 | Speaker 4:

That's amazing.

02:24:56 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 7:

What's this all called? So what?

02:24:58 - 02:25:08 | Speaker 4:

So what? it's kind of hard so people got to know your name that didn't already know you from your music

02:25:08 - 02:25:33 | Speaker 2:

because of the story that came out about how you were going to a family member's house to go watch a lions game and you called for a lift to come and pick you up and take you over there you obviously called for a nice lift because a mercedes came to pick you up So was that like a Lyft X, what do they call it, Platinum or something?

02:25:33 - 02:25:44 | Speaker 4:

It was just a regular Lyft. Like, I never had to do nothing extra with Lyft. You know, I just called me a Lyft. And that's the car that showed up. Yeah, that's what. Didn't specify. Yeah. Okay. Okay, so I'm just like, okay.

02:25:44 - 02:25:48 | Speaker 2:

When you first saw that it was going to be a Mercedes picking you up, were you like, oh, man, damn, that's nice.

02:25:49 - 02:25:52 | Speaker 4:

I was just like, okay, I'm about to get a ride. Okay. Riding on the way.

02:25:53 - 02:25:56 | Speaker 2:

Thank God. I always look at the car. I never get Mercedes.

02:25:56 - 02:26:00 | Speaker 4:

I was already late. Like, I'm texting my cousin, like, okay, cousin, I'm coming in.

02:26:00 - 02:26:05 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you, I ain't going to lie. If I schedule a regular lift and a beam or something, I'd do it a little better. Me too.

02:26:06 - 02:26:07 | Speaker 4:

I know. All right.

02:26:07 - 02:26:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So the guy pulls up, and when he pulls up, he sees you walking towards the car, and this is the audio, which, by the way, great job on catching and capturing this audio, because if you didn't have this audio, nobody would believe your story.

02:26:21 - 02:26:21 | Speaker 3:

True.

02:26:22 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Here, listen to this audio, guys.

02:26:24 - 02:27:03 | Speaker 3:

My car is small. I can't fit in this car? No, believe me, you can. Yes, I can. Believe me. So, I'm sorry. So, you're telling me I can't get in a lift because I can't sit in your car? Yeah, you need to order a vehicle. What makes you think I can't fit in the car? Yeah, I'm sorry. What makes you think I can't fit in this car? Because the car is small in the back, believe me. My best friend has a biz that's nowhere than this that I can fit in at the same time. Yeah, I'm sorry. I have a question, though.

02:27:03 - 02:27:11 | Speaker 1:

I have a question because something he said caused you to say, I need to start recording this. What was the first thing he said to you?

02:27:11 - 02:27:21 | Speaker 4:

He started rejecting me. He's like, sorry, ma'am, I can't let you in my car. I said, wow, this is really happening? People need to see this. So I put my phone out. Okay. And that's when it happened.

02:27:21 - 02:27:24 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so it was just a continuation of what he had originally said.

02:27:24 - 02:27:38 | Speaker 4:

A lot of people would be like, a lot of people would say, like, oh, she set that up. No, this happened. You know, like, I had a reason to start recording him. Sure. Him rejecting me was my reason for recording. Yes.

02:27:39 - 02:27:44 | Speaker 2:

So did he just say in there, my tires are, what did he say? Tired. My tires are tired.

02:27:44 - 02:27:54 | Speaker 4:

That's what I thought he said. Yeah. He said his tires was tired, and I was just wondering, what do they have to do with me? It seems like you shouldn't be driving anybody at that point then.

02:27:54 - 02:28:33 | Speaker 2:

so so he leaves you out there which your lawyer came on with us john came on with us right and he came on with us and when he came on he said uh to us you know that he told us about the discriminatory you know situation and how michigan does have uh weight as a discrimination that you cannot discriminate against somebody because of their weight but then we started having more conversations about this and realized what a horrible position to put you in thank god you were coming out of your own home what if you were coming out of the club at night or you were stuck in a situation where your car was broken down on the side of the road you were impaired

02:28:33 - 02:28:46 | Speaker 1:

and needed that ride to get somewhere safely which is probably most reasons why people take lyft so did you did you file a complaint with lyft like via the app first or how did that happen

02:28:46 - 02:29:13 | Speaker 4:

i was my feelings was hurt like y'all just don't understand like i couldn't believe that was happening to me yeah you know like i couldn't believe i i just didn't believe that it happened to me like after it happened i went back inside my house and i sat there i sat there for a minute before i called somebody because i was like wow did this really happen you know i was tripping out but um i didn't say nothing to live i didn't report the driver i didn't do none of that you know

02:29:13 - 02:29:38 | Speaker 2:

so the the guy which obviously i and i'm not judging him based on this but he sounded like he was uh i don't know a foreign guy or something like that right and i don't know if if the guy was you know he didn't seem like i mean this even though the things he said didn't seem like he was a horrible human being he just maybe thought that you could not have fit in the car can we

02:29:38 - 02:29:50 | Speaker 4:

play devil's advocate in that or no try no he locked those doors he locked the doors he locked the doors on me and i'm like what like is you for real so so he locked the doors like you were

02:29:50 - 02:30:14 | Speaker 2:

going to rob them or something man i basically it's crazy yeah because at least at least i would have thought and i would have given and i don't know how you would have felt about this but i would have said okay the guy at least tried if he got out of the car walked around to the other side opened the door and said let's try so he didn't even want to try to see if you could fit in the car and that's what i'm saying

02:30:14 - 02:30:18 | Speaker 3:

i said how you know how you know i can't fit in here my best friend got the same car he didn't

02:30:18 - 02:30:22 | Speaker 2:

even at least try and you ride in your best friend's car the same car where do you sit in

02:30:22 - 02:30:55 | Speaker 3:

that car front seat or back seat i sit in front i sit in the back like i drive his cars hey you can sit anywhere in a lift or an uber so like it doesn't matter so hold on let me listen to the rest of this believe me he was tripping it's interesting that that the whole idea that you

02:30:55 - 02:31:12 | Speaker 2:

need a bigger car you need a bigger car which do you when you order you order cars the same size you have gotten into the cars and have had good service in the past yes like i always order a regular car what what name name some cars that you fit into before like what kind of car did

02:31:12 - 02:31:48 | Speaker 3:

you drive on the way over here what'd you take well i i have a personal driver so he picks me up he picked me up in a big truck like an expedition okay all right but like when i'm alone by myself i'm doing regular regular woman things i want to go get my nails done i'm gonna call me and live you know and what kind of cars come do you do you drive a car do you have a car no i don't drive okay okay i'm a princess okay what's that gonna ask what kind of car do you driving this dang i do i do want to transfer into driving on my own yeah you know but right now i

02:31:48 - 02:32:18 | Speaker 2:

just i'm i'm i'm good the reason i ask you about the about the kind of cars because when you go into a courtroom and i'm assuming this and we're gonna have zach on with us hold on zach is your attorney he's on the phone with us is zach you know for a fact that the uh lift attorneys are gonna ask her you know have you ever fit into car a or car b or car c are they though i think they're gonna well unless unless they said i'm ready but that's why i was asking i'm asking what what are the cars like what what cars that same size because you say you fit in that car you set

02:32:18 - 02:32:38 | Speaker 3:

I don't know the name of the car, but I swear, like, it was, I went to the grocery store for Thanksgiving, and I had four little girls with me. Y'all, the car was so small. It was a blue little car, but, like, it was small. We all sat in a back seat. We all sat in that car. Like, I don't know what type of car it was, but it was a small little blue car.

02:32:38 - 02:32:40 | Speaker 2:

And it was probably the same size, if not smaller, than that car.

02:32:41 - 02:32:49 | Speaker 3:

Smaller than that car. I've been in little cars. Like, I'm only five feet. You know, I'm just big a little bit. Like, you know, but I got a little bit, but I'm big, you know?

02:32:50 - 02:33:43 | Speaker 2:

Listen, can I be honest with you? I've always been large, a larger guy. I was at one point 400 pounds. And at 400 pounds, I would get in an Uber or Lyft, and I would call for an Uber or Lyft, and I usually would call for a bigger car just because I'm a 6'3 guy. But I will tell you, I've got friends that have smaller cars. Usually they let me sit in the front seat of the car. I mean, there's ways to get in the car. They could put the seat all the way back. They could figure it out. At very least, the guy could have attempted to do something or said, hey, I'll stay here with you. Let's call another car instead of the way that he was doing it by locking it. Zach, let's go to you real quick. Zach, you there? Yeah, I'm here. Zach, what have you heard from Lyft? The last that we talked to John was, you know, over a week ago. And we found out that Lyft never responded to this, you know, media attention that's been going on. Have you heard anything from them?

02:33:43 - 02:34:05 | Speaker 1:

no we still haven't heard anything uh the only communication we've had is they left a couple of comments on deja's original post but they haven't responded to us since the lawsuit's been filed what did they comment uh deja probably still has a comment but i think they just made a blanket generic statement that they don't condone discrimination okay

02:34:05 - 02:34:24 | Speaker 2:

zach uh as you know an attorney that obviously fights uh you know uh cases like this where people are being discriminated against um what is typical would they wait until the courts put everything in motion before they would come out and comment

02:34:24 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 1:

uh you know it's hard for me to say that there is a typical route that companies like this take i've had companies do um you know do either one where they'll either wait till they have to respond based on the court rules or they'll come out you know right away and try to remedy the situation. So I don't know if there's a typical route, but I can't say I'm surprised that we haven't heard from them yet. So, you know, I expect that we'll be hearing from them within the next few weeks, but this isn't out of the ordinary. Are we suing for a dollar amount here or what is the, am I allowed to ask?

02:35:00 - 02:35:18 | Speaker 3:

Well, we haven't disclosed the number yet. I think it's too early for that. You know, Deja has been consistent that, you know, she just wants justice in this case. So hopefully Lyft will do the right thing and cooperate with us and, you know, we can resolve this amicably.

02:35:18 - 02:35:27 | Speaker 4:

Deja, do you want just an apology or do you want a financial settlement on this to make them really feel the pain over the fact that they did this?

02:35:27 - 02:35:54 | Speaker 1:

I want them to do something about it. Like, I want them to add something to the app. That's what I want because I'm not the only person that they did this to. Like, I got a lot of people reaching out to me right now. I even have Lyft drivers reaching out to me like, I would never did that to you. He wasn't supposed to do that. My main thing is, do add something to the app because I just feel like, I just, like I keep saying, I just feel like everybody put big people in a category. And if that's going to happen, then accommodate this world for us. Accommodate us.

02:35:54 - 02:36:11 | Speaker 2:

There's a reason why it's already a protected status. There is enough situations of harm happening that we said we legally have to go through this process to protect people. So this isn't like a one-off or a wild scenario. This happens so often there's a law about it now.

02:36:11 - 02:36:18 | Speaker 4:

Does anybody know if the guy who is the driver has come forward and said anything or is anybody?

02:36:18 - 02:36:26 | Speaker 1:

I don't think so. Like I didn't bother him. I didn't report him, you know, so I don't know.

02:36:26 - 02:36:32 | Speaker 4:

Because I wonder, I mean, obviously this audio is so famous. I mean, it's been everywhere.

02:36:32 - 02:36:38 | Speaker 6:

I mean, it's been on news, TikTok, everywhere. Daily Mail, everywhere. I feel you, though.

02:36:38 - 02:36:49 | Speaker 5:

If it's a law in place that prevents discrimination of all kinds, then these companies that operate in the states where such laws exist should be held by the same standards.

02:36:49 - 02:37:07 | Speaker 2:

And I get really frustrated that the wait one is dismissed so often by people. We would not do this for religion. We would not do this for race. And if somebody did, we would say, you're horrible. And the fact that this gets dismissed so openly and so often by the public is infuriating.

02:37:07 - 02:37:25 | Speaker 4:

Zach, do you know, and you guys, I'm sure, probably have had some of your people go through this, in any of those terms of agreements and any of that stuff, is there anything in there about if you can't fit in the car or any of that stuff? Like, do we know if there's any in the hidden print stuff?

02:37:26 - 02:37:46 | Speaker 3:

You know, I haven't seen anything like that, but it really doesn't matter because the law says you can't discriminate based on weight. So you can't contract yourself out of the Civil Rights Act. So the Civil Rights Act protects, you know, protects people based on their weight. So it doesn't matter what the lift contract says. They have to follow the law.

02:37:47 - 02:37:57 | Speaker 4:

Monica has a piece of advice for you, Zach, if this does go to court and appear before a judge. Monica, what do you think that Zach and John and Deja should do?

02:37:58 - 02:38:16 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Hi. Good morning, guys. So, girl, you need to show up to court that day in the exact same make and model vehicle and get out with a smile on your face to literally prove your point right then and there. There's not even a court case at that point.

02:38:17 - 02:38:23 | Speaker 4:

Well, that's an interesting thing. That actually could be even like one of your little media things that you could do, Zach.

02:38:23 - 02:38:25 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, find somebody with a car.

02:38:26 - 02:39:13 | Speaker 4:

I think this, and by the way, the reason I asked that question, and I know there's people that are like, that was rude that you would ask that question, is Deja, you have said before that you've gotten into smaller vehicles, and I don't know cars as well either, even though I love cars, but there are, if you can prove, if you basically, and Zach, you're going to do this, because you guys are great lawyers you're gonna prove that hey at very least if the guy attempted to help you out that's where the discrimination ends like if that guy just got out of the car and attempted to say hey let me help you and zach would you am i right in saying this if he would have said you know what i'm gonna get out of the car with you i don't think you can try you know try to do it and then said let's call another lift or another one there would be no case here

02:39:13 - 02:39:38 | Speaker 3:

right? I agree. I mean, I think if he would have even tried to let her get in the car, things would have been a lot different. I also think, you know, part of what struck me when I watched the video is when he started talking about his tires. That made it obvious to me that he wasn't worried she couldn't get in the car because her tires, his tires have nothing to do with that. I mean, he was targeting her because of how much she weighs. And I think his tires

02:39:38 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 4:

comment shows that yeah well listen we're getting married uh zach i hope you know that i'm calling i'm calling all the shots right now for dank because i i just want her to be good with her money that she's going to make out of this whole deal uh you know what's the most money that you guys have ever won for a client in the past uh as

02:40:00 - 02:40:01 | Speaker 3:

Zach, I want to make sure you're a good enough attorney for this.

02:40:03 - 02:40:09 | Speaker 4:

You know, I can't disclose that. A lot of these things are confidential, but it'd be enough for you. I can promise that.

02:40:09 - 02:40:11 | Speaker 3:

All right. You know what?

02:40:11 - 02:40:15 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. He likes his Peter Millar. You got to come with it.

02:40:15 - 02:40:24 | Speaker 3:

Double X. Double X. All right, so what about the music thing? Let me ask you about your music. Is this going to help your music? Have you gained followers off of this?

02:40:25 - 02:40:31 | Speaker 1:

I have. She said a few. Have you? Let's find the positive.

02:40:32 - 02:40:34 | Speaker 3:

Do you look at that as a positive?

02:40:35 - 02:40:49 | Speaker 1:

I look, I'm dank. I got to be dank at the end of the day. I didn't show up as Deja. I showed up as dank. So when it comes to my music and when it comes to my craft and my work, I'm always in good spirits. I'm always hoping for the best, you know? Okay. I love it.

02:40:49 - 02:41:47 | Speaker 3:

All right. Well, listen, Zach, thank you so much, buddy. You and your great attorneys over there fight for this woman here, okay? Yeah, thank you. I'd love if anybody knows who that Lyft driver is. We're not going to harass him, but I'd like to get him on the air with us. I'd love to see if we could get him to come on and apologize. I mean, I'm assuming that this guy is a human being that has a heart and didn't want to hurt anybody. I'm just going to make that assumption because I just don't think that people genuinely would be that mean. But I can only imagine that that guy probably is going to be faced with a lot of scrutiny for what he did that day. and maybe he learns who Dank is as a human being and looks at her more as a human than looks at her as a person who's plus size, you know? Dank, thank you. Will you hang out with us for a little bit? I will. All right, we love it. She, by the way, asked if she could vape in the studio. As long as I don't see you, okay? I can't see you.

02:41:47 - 02:41:51 | Speaker 2:

My breathing is so bad right now. I literally went to the doctor.

02:41:51 - 02:41:53 | Speaker 3:

What do you got? What flavor do you have?

02:41:53 - 02:41:54 | Speaker 2:

Strawberry mint.

02:41:55 - 02:42:05 | Speaker 3:

Maybe you and I go out back. Actually, you know, I know somebody. Megan, Zach, and Teresa Lucas will take you out back. If you guys want to. You guys can hang out back there.

02:42:06 - 02:42:08 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:42:08 - 02:42:11 | Speaker 3:

All right, Shannon, what you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

02:42:11 - 02:42:40 | Speaker 2:

Well, Marcus Jordan, the son of basketball great Michael Jordan, was arrested Monday in Florida and sent to jail. I guess technically it was Tuesday because it was after midnight. But he is accused of driving under the influence, little possession of cocaine and resisting arrest. So he'd been out at a strip club with some friends, drinking, and then somehow got his car stuck on some railroad tracks. So this is from one of the officer's body cams. And listen to him just name-dropping his daddy.

02:42:52 - 02:43:07 | Speaker 5:

Bro, I'm Marcus Jordan, I'm Michael Jordan's son, I'm not doing anything wrong, I'm just trying to get home, and I made a wrong turn, okay, and clearly, we would just like to get

02:43:07 - 02:43:14 | Speaker 4:

our car off of the f***ing train track, which we were not trying to be on, I mean, I'm just

02:43:14 - 02:43:21 | Speaker 5:

saying, there's six of us, Narsa, and we throw this thing in reverse, I've already got concerns

02:43:21 - 02:43:23 | Speaker 4:

for your level of impairment anyways, okay?

02:43:23 - 02:43:25 | Speaker 3:

I love the whole Michael Jordan dad thing.

02:43:26 - 02:43:31 | Speaker 4:

Cocaine's a hell of a drug. We were talking about it earlier. It reminds me of Justin Timberlake with the, this is going to ruin the tour.

02:43:32 - 02:43:34 | Speaker 2:

By the way, you got to slip something in there.

02:43:34 - 02:43:44 | Speaker 3:

He seems so mellow to actually have been on cocaine. He seemed like he had no, like he would, that had to be alcohol induced, but he probably had cocaine in his possession. Right? Yeah.

02:43:44 - 02:44:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, they said they, right. They said they smelled alcohol, but on his arrest sheet, I mean, it says right here, cocaine possession. diddy expected to be hit with more than 10 new civil lawsuits in the coming days that lawyer tony busby said that more lawsuits will be filed within the next week or so made the announcement as he filed another legal case in new york on behalf of an unnamed man i told you about yesterday who claimed diddy assaulted him in 2015 so as he was issuing that filing he was saying we've got about ten more that are coming. So in these latest civil complaints against Diddy, he is, among other things, accused of assaulting two women at a Trump hotel in New York City. So another day, another Diddy

02:44:33 - 02:44:37 | Speaker 3:

location. Oh, do you think Donald Trump was with him at the hotel?

02:44:37 - 02:44:38 | Speaker 4:

I didn't say that.

02:44:38 - 02:44:47 | Speaker 3:

You're, mmm. By the way, my favorite is that mmms that come out of your mouth there, right? Yeah.

02:44:49 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 2:

Want to clear up an MCU rumor really quickly? Jonathan Majors is not being considered for a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So I know this was going around yesterday. Multiple sources say there are

02:45:00 - 02:45:09 | Speaker 5:

This would be a surprise to him because he has not engaged in any talks to return to the MCU after he was booted. I love, by the way, that Wes is now in Shannon's life. No, we don't.

02:45:10 - 02:45:13 | Speaker 4:

Three years ago, she would not know what MCU is. Now she's a Marvel fan.

02:45:13 - 02:45:16 | Speaker 5:

I'm not a Marvel fan at all. I've seen one movie. That's it.

02:45:16 - 02:45:25 | Speaker 3:

Shout out to Jonathan Majors. He is back. He's got a new film called Magazine Dreams. I support the blog. What do you think of Harrison Ford? Being a Hulk? Weird.

02:45:25 - 02:45:32 | Speaker 4:

Being in the role. No? Weird. I didn't realize that Harrison Ford, to me, is always going to be get off my plane, you know? Get off my plane.

02:45:32 - 02:45:40 | Speaker 3:

He's in that new Captain America movie, which is what you're talking about. Yeah. I mean, I'll go see it. I like all the MCU films. Yeah.

02:45:41 - 02:46:17 | Speaker 5:

Kanye's story for you. An executive producer for the Grammys is addressing Kanye and Bianca's red carpet moment. Very controversial red carpet moment. So Raj Kapoor is one of the executive producers, excuse me, behind this year's Grammy Awards. And he said that the dress code listed on guests' invitations was, quote-unquote, artistic black tie. And he was like, we're dealing with musicians. That is very much left up for interpretation. And so that's how it was interpreted by Kanye and Bianca. She is not expected to face any legal consequences for that outfit.

02:46:17 - 02:46:23 | Speaker 4:

And they're blaming Kanye for her wearing it, saying that he forced her. I want to see this lip reading thing that you guys are talking about.

02:46:23 - 02:46:57 | Speaker 5:

that she did not want to wear that sheer slip that she had something else in mind that actually covered her body to wear like something pretty um when's the last time you've seen her and that's and honestly kev to that point that's where i'm like i don't know if i believe these sources that are telling this story that kanye was the one that like really encouraged her to wear that so i don't know we've never seen her naked in the 6 30 dirty i mean not not head to toe but we've seen the boobs for sure seen the butt in the dirty you guys were talking about the lip reading that

02:46:57 - 02:47:06 | Speaker 4:

you could lip read kanye saying to her take off the coat and stuff like that i want to see it and is it one of those funny lip reading ones i like when they do the funny lip reading one

02:47:06 - 02:47:27 | Speaker 5:

and lastly megan markle on her brand new instagram sharing how she reached out to billy eilish to get a teenager one of the victims of the la wildfires some new signed billy merch after she lost all of her concert merch to the wildfires listen to this

02:47:27 - 02:47:44 | Speaker 2:

02:47:44 - 02:47:58 | Speaker 5:

A huge box of signed merch, of signed Billie merch for this poor girl who lost all of her beloved merch in the fire. She did shout out a few different celebrities who helped make this happen for this teenager.

02:47:58 - 02:48:14 | Speaker 2:

Huge thank you, Billie Eilish. This is going to mean so much to her. And honestly, to Adam Levine and Behati, you guys helped get this over the line. To everyone who's showing up for people in big and small ways to get through what's happened in California. Just thank you so much.

02:48:14 - 02:48:19 | Speaker 5:

Hey, for all of today's Dirty, catch up on the podcast on the iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

02:48:20 - 02:48:20 | Unknown:

Go.

02:48:20 - 02:48:27 | Speaker 1:

Get more dirt at Mojo in the Morn on social media. The latest craze. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:48:28 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 4:

All right, it's Mojo in the Morning. Before we go any further, I want to bring this up because my heart is just so, like, hurting right now. After getting this news this morning, but one of our fellow radio people, One of the people who actually, to be quite honest with you, was pretty influential on this radio show for so many years. I just saw a news report that came out that said that he died. Anybody that listens on the iHeartRadio app to any morning shows around the country, but especially those that are in Charlotte, will know the name when I say Ace of Ace and TJ. um but uh david cannon david ace cannon um is uh somebody who has been on the air in the charlotte radio market forever charlotte north carolina the guy is literally uh one of the people that's on a show that was so well known um you know i go to that radio show boot camp every single year yeah um at radio show boot camp i will never forget the first one that i one of the first ones i went to met these guys they were in a very very small market at the time i can't remember what it was it was like i don't know if it's huntsville or some some like really small southern market and they got got on stage and literally did a bit on stage that made everybody start laughing and within a year

02:50:00 - 02:50:50 | Speaker 1:

They ended up getting a job in Charlotte because there was a radio station executive that was there that said, if you guys are that funny just getting up on stage here, we'll hire you to be our morning show. And then they went on to be a syndicated radio show. I saw the report this morning from one of the trade magazines that they found him dead. And I know that there has been some troubles that have had happened in his career. And I don't know if there's some personal stuff that's going on too, but I feel so sad when I see this because he was a guy that to the Charlotte community, his radio show was like what our radio show is to the Detroit and Grand Rapids and now, you know, Toledo communities where they would raise tons of money to help out people. He had his own charity that he started after his daughter.

02:50:52 - 02:50:55 | Speaker 2:

Oh, his daughter was very tragically killed in a car accident. Oh my God.

02:50:55 - 02:51:52 | Speaker 1:

And so the guy's had a lot of pain in his life, but he's taken that pain to give back to people that would listen to a show. So I'm really I'm sad by it. I only bring it up on our show because my hopes are that if there is somebody because there's been some speculation as to how he died. But if there is somebody that's struggling and I think Ace was struggling there towards the end. And I don't know the full story. I wish, honestly, I was a better friend to him and talk to him more often. Like I talked to a lot of the radio people that are friends in my life, but I just want you to reach out to somebody that, you know, or us, if you don't know anybody and let us talk to you. So, yeah. So just keep, keep Ace's family in your, in your prayers. And that's it. That's all I wanted to say. I want to make sure that, that he knows that I'll always remember him. I mean, I laugh. You've been to bootcamp before, right?

02:51:52 - 02:51:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I actually think I met them at a boot camp. I remember the boot camp. I think I met them at, yeah.

02:51:59 - 02:52:00 | Speaker 1:

And they were great guys.

02:52:00 - 02:52:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:52:00 - 02:52:22 | Speaker 1:

Actually, it's funny. I always used to say to them, I wish I had your accents because to me, anybody with a Southern accent to me sounds friendlier, like instantly. Yeah. And that's when TJ was like, well, I ain't friendly. But Ace was the warm guy. Like he was literally, he was the, you know, the guy that was the lovable, you know, huggable, you know, host of the shows.

02:52:22 - 02:52:32 | Speaker 2:

and this this radio community is so very small so like when something like this happens you even if you don't i did not know him very well whatsoever but you still feel it he's one of

02:52:32 - 02:53:08 | Speaker 1:

those guys that and this is sad to say this but he if he knew that the daily mail picked up his story about his death he would probably go oh that's kind of cool you know it's sad we're all obsessed with isn't it it's so sad looking and they posted a picture of him and his family and to know that he's got kids that are without a dad. We're going to be back. We'll take a break. We'll be right back with more Mojo in the morning next. More Mojo in minutes. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the morning.

02:53:08 - 02:53:09 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

02:53:10 - 02:54:07 | Speaker 1:

Live. Mojo in the morning. So whenever you get into a relationship, guys, I'm going to give you a piece of advice from a guy that's an idiot. My advice is always just say, did you get your hair done? Did you do something different? Because this is interesting. Like make her think that you're noticing something. Because after you hear the story of what Shannon's husband did, you're going to realize that even the nicest guys fall victim to screwing up what tell everybody what west did so we're in bed last night and mind you guys what these guys have more sex than anybody no no we were not having sex we were not having bathroom front room back room in the back door we had literally just got

02:54:07 - 02:55:07 | Speaker 2:

into bed i turned off the dateline we had just finished and we were like getting ready to go to sleep and he starts like rubbing i was wearing like shorts he starts rubbing my legs under the sheets and he made some sort of comment to the effect of oh my god like damn your legs are so smooth you he was like trying to be cute he's like you shaved for me and i was like no i actually didn't i haven't shaved in probably 20 years because that's how long it's been since i found on laser hair removal. So I haven't shaved my legs ever since you've known me. Ever. They've just always been smooth, and you are just now noticing. But the fact that he found it shocking means at some point he thought you had hairy legs. Right. But that's what's making me scratch my head because I don't have, I mean, they might have been dry. You know what it is? he'd been dealing with them hairy leg mission lady trips that's true he's noticing women with hair

02:55:07 - 02:55:19 | Speaker 3:

I've known you for four years this is what it's like back in America you're just now realizing this he goes well why do you have a razor in the shower sometimes my armpits need a touch up

02:55:19 - 02:55:26 | Speaker 1:

did you get all of your leg like top all the way top or do you have to do some portions of your leg

02:55:26 - 02:55:29 | Speaker 3:

I did from my toes to the bottom of my butt cheeks

02:55:29 - 02:55:33 | Speaker 1:

Does hair ever come back at all? Do you ever have to touch up?

02:55:33 - 02:55:48 | Speaker 3:

Every once in a while, I'll see a random hair, and I'll get it, but I could literally go the whole year without shaving, and it would be fine. I think I shaved my armpits twice last year, and it was because I saw one random hair and went, whoop.

02:55:48 - 02:57:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yesterday was my wife's get your hair done and go get waxed day, which I know is that I'm not getting anything because you don't touch after waxing. And, uh, but I did, I came home right. As soon as I came home, I walk in the door. Cause she's like, yeah, I went and you know, got my haircut, hair color, whatever, whatever she does. And, uh, which I, I don't ever do. I actually want to go sometime. I want to go and hang out. Cause I went one time to her salon. I brought her something there. Like she needed something at home. So I went and drove up. I pull up and there's a bunch is it. She goes to a place where there's a ton of Albanian ladies. in there and it looked like a party like it looked like a fun they do give you drinks if you want drinks this lady who does her hair her name is bora and she's doing and i walk in there and it's like i'm like this is an albanian nightclub here right now but but long story short i came home yesterday kev and i was like god you look great your hair looks awesome yeah and she says stop looking at my vagina no i was like no no no chelsea thinks i'm always kind of checking her out now like she doesn't she doesn't understand that i have always been attracted to her but i'm more happy for her now because she's feeling good about herself and stuff like that and it's a

02:57:06 - 02:57:18 | Speaker 2:

different level of beauty that comes from a woman who's confident with who she is that beauty shines through um does six have do they do manicures and pedicures uh who i go to six katrina they do

02:57:18 - 02:57:21 | Speaker 1:

no i don't think they do i don't ever see anybody in there i don't know i always walk in and walk

02:57:21 - 02:57:31 | Speaker 3:

to the back they used to have manicure pedicure not pedicure they used to have manicures in the front by where they do the makeup at the at least at the birmingham location i don't know if they do

02:57:31 - 02:57:39 | Speaker 2:

anymore why do you ask that because i my sister said i need a manicure and i was on facetime with somebody yesterday they said i need a manicure i thought this had to do with the topic oh i was

02:57:39 - 02:57:44 | Speaker 3:

like i got a place for you it's not yeah i got a place we'll talk by the way go back to what you

02:57:44 - 02:57:49 | Speaker 1:

said to it at the start of the thing they are always in bed they're always they're not on the

02:57:49 - 02:57:51 | Speaker 3:

We did not have sex last night, guys.

02:57:51 - 02:58:08 | Speaker 1:

They're always like, there's something going on. Wes is like humping your legs and stuff like that. Yesterday was the one night of the week. You had a one night off. That's unreal. That didn't make you, did that turn you off or turn you on when he's rubbing your leg and then asking you about your legs and why they're not so hairy?

02:58:09 - 02:58:14 | Speaker 3:

No, I was just like, are you, like, this has always been the case.

02:58:15 - 02:58:23 | Speaker 2:

It's nothing worse, though, than like cuddling with a woman or being in bed and she got, like, stubble on her leg. You said you like hair. I never said that.

02:58:24 - 02:58:29 | Speaker 3:

Did you not say you like underarm hair? We were having a conversation.

02:58:29 - 02:58:34 | Speaker 2:

We just had this conversation recently. Last week. I said I like underarm hair.

02:58:34 - 02:58:36 | Speaker 3:

Was I dreaming?

02:58:36 - 02:58:42 | Speaker 2:

Y'all tripping, bro. I can't remember what we were talking about. I never said that. To the tapes. To the podcast.

02:58:42 - 02:58:44 | Speaker 3:

What in the heck were we talking about? On the Free iHeartRadio app.

02:58:44 - 02:58:48 | Speaker 2:

I like my chicks bald. Really? Skin. What?

02:58:48 - 02:58:51 | Speaker 3:

But if you remember the topic, because I know you talked about it.

02:58:51 - 02:59:34 | Speaker 1:

Under Armour on a woman? I said I liked that? Hell no. I think I do remember something, but I don't know if Kev said he liked it. I don't remember. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I would love this as a call. I'd like to know, what's the longest that it took for your guy to notice that you did something drastic? And I want to know how drastic it was. um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 because i've done that before you know not not a very uh very good situation where you don't notice anything and it was like she chopped off a ton of hair you know

02:59:34 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 2:

bro women are like that's the i'm not gonna say that's the way you get a woman but the reaction from a woman when you acknowledge that something is different about her especially if she changed their hair is one of those reactions that you know means something like the way that they glow up it's like oh my god like he noticed you know yeah yeah i uh i think that uh it's basically

03:00:00 - 03:00:30 | Speaker 4:

setups for us guys to get do something wrong total setup like honestly you guys would be great law and order svu detectives on a mission to catch capture the the criminal because you set us up so much to kind of lead ourselves down a path where we should notice like i want every woman that's listening to the show and all you guys here that are in relationships when you see your man or a woman, whatever, I want you to say, notice something different about me and watch what their reaction is.

03:00:31 - 03:00:37 | Speaker 6:

Because you know what they're going to say? This is a good test tonight. I'm just going to ask Wes randomly when he comes in. Because there's nothing different about me right now.

03:00:37 - 03:00:41 | Speaker 4:

Notice something different about me and watch that guy step in. He's going to step into some doo-doo.

03:00:42 - 03:00:45 | Speaker 6:

Y'all are terrible. No, I think this is funny. I'm doing it.

03:00:45 - 03:00:49 | Speaker 4:

Some breakups happen. Brittany, what's going on? Brittany, how you doing?

03:00:50 - 03:00:58 | Speaker 5:

Hey. I just was calling to say that last year on my birthday, I got six inches cut off my hair and my husband didn't notice for two days.

03:00:58 - 03:00:59 | Speaker 4:

Oh, geez.

03:00:59 - 03:01:00 | Speaker 5:

That would drive me nuts.

03:01:00 - 03:01:01 | Speaker 4:

How pissed were you?

03:01:02 - 03:01:18 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I wasn't necessarily pissed. I was just, like, confused. I'm like, because, I mean, he's always commenting on, you know, my, I mean, like, I get, like, you know, like, my cheeks look a little redder and he's like, oh, you look so pretty today or whatever. And, like, six inches is a drastic change. Yeah, that's really drastic.

03:01:19 - 03:01:27 | Speaker 4:

Do you, quick question about that. But when you finally got him to notice it, what was his reaction? Like, what did he say?

03:01:29 - 03:01:38 | Speaker 5:

Honestly, he didn't really, like, say much. He just was like, oh, it looks really pretty or whatever. And I'm like, okay, yeah, thanks, honey. Like, that's so nice of you.

03:01:39 - 03:01:50 | Speaker 4:

You know, so do the test that I was talking about tonight. I want you to go home. Nothing's changed on you. Just say, notice something different about me? And watch. That bastard's going to say something, you know?

03:01:51 - 03:01:52 | Speaker 5:

Is it like scramble?

03:01:53 - 03:01:57 | Speaker 4:

Exactly. And call us tomorrow and tell us what happens. Caitlin, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

03:01:58 - 03:02:00 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good morning, everybody. Good morning.

03:02:01 - 03:02:01 | Speaker 4:

How are you?

03:02:02 - 03:02:08 | Speaker 3:

Good. So I have actually gotten Botox, and my boyfriend has never noticed.

03:02:09 - 03:02:13 | Speaker 6:

Oh, that's good, though. That's good Botox. Or a dumb guy. I'm with that one.

03:02:15 - 03:02:24 | Speaker 2:

Which one? And, Shannon, I go to where you got your BBL. You were recommended. So I was like, I'm going to go there. Oh, Rochester Beauty Bar? BBL Light. You got a BBL? No, no, no, light. Shannon.

03:02:24 - 03:02:31 | Speaker 7:

Shannon. Oh, my God, Shannon. I knew that booty was too big. Oh, damn, girl.

03:02:32 - 03:02:34 | Speaker 8:

BBL Light. What is BBL Light? Oh, no.

03:02:35 - 03:02:36 | Speaker 4:

Is that like...

03:02:36 - 03:02:38 | Speaker 8:

I can show you the video of it.

03:02:38 - 03:02:42 | Speaker 4:

Yo, Dr. Miami. Is that like Coke Zero? What is that? What is a BBL Light?

03:02:43 - 03:02:51 | Speaker 8:

I got the BBL plus Moxie treatment on my face. Oh, I do love a good Moxie. Which helps with the wrinkles, and it gets rid of dark spots on your face.

03:02:51 - 03:02:58 | Speaker 4:

I like full fat coke. I don't like BBL lights and stuff like that.

03:02:58 - 03:02:59 | Speaker 8:

Shout out to Rena.

03:03:00 - 03:03:05 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. By the way, how much work has been put into you? Can you explain?

03:03:06 - 03:03:06 | Speaker 8:

What do you mean?

03:03:06 - 03:03:08 | Speaker 4:

If you're hiding the BBLs from us.

03:03:09 - 03:03:12 | Speaker 7:

I'll tell you everything. Oh, BBL, Moxie, Botox.

03:03:12 - 03:03:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Okay.

03:03:14 - 03:03:23 | Speaker 7:

Under eye filler, cheek filler, lip filler. Diving glow facials. me. Absolutely. Invest in that skin, girlies. Botox in my jaw. Oh yeah, I get Botox in my jaw.

03:03:23 - 03:03:27 | Speaker 4:

03:04:35 - 03:04:38 | Speaker 8:

I know what the podcast is called. What? The Bush is Back.

03:04:38 - 03:04:41 | Speaker 4:

Oh. That's it. He likes it there.

03:04:41 - 03:04:42 | Speaker 8:

I'm about to listen to it.

03:04:42 - 03:04:45 | Speaker 4:

That's what it is. No, he likes it there. He likes the hair there.

03:04:45 - 03:04:50 | Speaker 8:

No, he also said armpit hair. I'm pretty sure you did. I'm going to go listen to it.

03:04:50 - 03:04:55 | Speaker 4:

Zach, go pull up the audio on that one. We're going to do an instant replay. We're going to go to the Telestrator here right now.

03:04:55 - 03:04:56 | Speaker 8:

The what?

03:04:56 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 4:

The Telest. What is a Telestrator? In basketball.

03:05:00 - 03:05:19 | Speaker 1:

or sports, they always have like, you know, they always, or what is the thing that Tom Brady and all those guys will go, look at this play. I don't know what it's called. You know, I think it's a, isn't it a Telestrator or something? It's something. Yeah, something like that. Sounds official. Actually old. We're going to look. No, that's what they do. They do the thing on Tony Romo. You're right.

03:05:19 - 03:05:23 | Speaker 2:

It's literally called, it's a device or software that allows users to draw free hand on top of a video game.

03:05:23 - 03:05:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and they do it on ESPN on SportsCenter where they'll have Give yourself a ding. They'll have. Thank you. I appreciate that. I am a smart person. Yeah, look, he clapped for himself, too. I'm a smart person.

03:05:37 - 03:05:39 | Speaker 4:

It's the second date update. A mojo in the morning.

03:05:39 - 03:06:14 | Speaker 1:

Why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? We're going to find out with the second date update. If you would like to be on second date update, maybe you went out with somebody and now you're not hearing from them. Text date to 95500 and we will get you on the show. So text DATE to 95500. Obviously, there's the legal thing of standard text and data rates to apply that I have to say, but I think everybody's good. Marcy's not getting a call back. She's getting ghosted. I think it's Macy. Or Macy, I'm sorry, Macy. I apologize for mispronouncing your name. How are you doing, Macy?

03:06:15 - 03:06:15 | Speaker 4:

Good morning.

03:06:16 - 03:06:20 | Speaker 1:

So Macy not getting a call back, and how long has it been since you've heard from him?

03:06:23 - 03:06:24 | Speaker 4:

Certainly more than a week.

03:06:25 - 03:06:30 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so it's been a while, and you thought that the date went great?

03:06:31 - 03:06:46 | Speaker 4:

I thought it was a good date. It was our second or third date. We've just gone out and had some drinks together, getting to know each other, and it seemed like, you know, the next one would just follow along like the others had, and that's been it.

03:06:46 - 03:06:48 | Speaker 1:

And nothing from them, huh?

03:06:49 - 03:06:49 | Speaker 4:

Nothing.

03:06:50 - 03:07:07 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, there is something to the fact that you're like, what did i do or what went wrong uh we're gonna find out what's going on jared is his name jared will you say hello to macy hey macy hello what's going on jared where have you been

03:07:07 - 03:07:25 | Speaker 3:

i've uh i've been busy i've got you know got stuff going on um but uh what kind of stuff going on like are you are are you I'm a software engineer so I'm I just I've got a lot of big

03:07:25 - 03:07:35 | Speaker 1:

projects coming up some deadlines so is it anything to do with Macy at all or just to do with the fact that you're just a busy guy right now and that's why you haven't called back

03:07:35 - 03:07:51 | Speaker 3:

I look I I think she's great I think we had a few good times out I I just had some concerns about her still maybe being a little hung up on her ex.

03:07:52 - 03:07:54 | Speaker 5:

What made you think that?

03:07:57 - 03:08:31 | Speaker 3:

Well, she brings him up a lot in our conversations, and I kept thinking it would go away, and she's comparing her dating life to his dating life. He's engaged now, this guy, I guess, because she showed me pictures of, like, their bridal registry. And she's telling me, you know, maybe I need to get myself to that same place. It just felt like too much pressure. And it felt, yeah, it was just a little weird. I think as weird as the word for it.

03:08:32 - 03:08:33 | Speaker 1:

Macy, are you still hung up on your ex?

03:08:35 - 03:08:48 | Speaker 4:

Well, I wouldn't say hung up. I mean, it was the most recent person I was with. We were together for some time, and, you know, this is the first real next step for me.

03:08:48 - 03:08:56 | Speaker 1:

You actually showed him the bridal registry? Like, that to me seems like a little much.

03:09:00 - 03:09:02 | Speaker 4:

I thought he should see it.

03:09:02 - 03:09:07 | Speaker 5:

Well, why? You shouldn't even be looking at that. That is not good for your head.

03:09:10 - 03:09:23 | Speaker 1:

well no i know no jared are you thinking the entire time are you thinking that if you got into a relationship with her and it didn't work out that she's going to be still like following

03:09:23 - 03:09:36 | Speaker 3:

you afterwards and like i would think yeah yeah yeah i'd need to get like an alias or something and like yeah all my profiles yeah i just it felt a little stalkery to me and uh and a little

03:09:36 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 5:

desperate it doesn't it doesn't feel it doesn't feel as stalkery to me as it feels like macy maybe you are not ready to date again and you're only trying to put yourself out there because your ex has and and has gotten to this place where he's now engaged and like you feel like you need to catch up like it sounds like you got

03:10:00 - 03:10:00 | Speaker 3:

You got some.

03:10:00 - 03:10:02 | Speaker 2:

How long ago was this relationship?

03:10:05 - 03:10:11 | Speaker 3:

Well, they've been engaged and have a registry. No, I know. He's asking about you.

03:10:11 - 03:10:21 | Speaker 2:

How long ago was it that you dated this guy? I mean, this guy seems like if he's got a wedding registry and he's engaged, this guy hasn't been in your life in a while and you're still thinking about him?

03:10:22 - 03:10:23 | Speaker 3:

Unless he moves real fast.

03:10:25 - 03:10:27 | Speaker 1:

Well, it's probably almost a year.

03:10:27 - 03:10:28 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

03:10:28 - 03:10:29 | Speaker 1:

It's hard to meet people at bingo.

03:10:30 - 03:10:40 | Speaker 2:

listen um macy i i have one question and this is uh an obvious who's better looking your ex or jared

03:10:40 - 03:10:49 | Speaker 3:

i guess i sort of have a type but i think jared you know i think he's a he's a nice looking guy

03:10:49 - 03:10:55 | Speaker 2:

okay all right uh you should come right out with jared uh what's up morgan hi what's going on

03:10:55 - 03:11:09 | Speaker 4:

hey good morning guys good morning i don't uh i don't mean it in a mean way but in general if you're on dates with just starting the dating process with anyone you shouldn't be talking about your ex if you're spending a lot of time talking about your ex you're just not ready to

03:11:09 - 03:11:27 | Speaker 2:

be there yet agree agree a thousand percent and the problem is even in past ones we've had people go no you can talk about your relationships i don't think you should ever bring up an ex and If somebody asks you about a relationship that you've been in, I'd give them the most vague answer ever. Exactly.

03:11:28 - 03:11:29 | Speaker 4:

You have to keep it short and sweet.

03:11:29 - 03:11:37 | Speaker 2:

I think the most you talk about them is going to make you look crazy, not them be crazy. Really? Even if they're the crazy ones. 100%. I don't know.

03:11:37 - 03:11:44 | Speaker 1:

I feel like trauma bonding is real. Sometimes you get in situations where you break up with somebody or they break up with somebody, and that's how y'all connect.

03:11:44 - 03:11:53 | Speaker 2:

I think that there's nothing you can do but make yourself look like you're the crazy person. I don't know. Carrie, what are your thoughts? What do you think about Macy and Jared here?

03:11:55 - 03:11:58 | Speaker 3:

First of all, Kevin, be nice and have a Snickers. What did I do?

03:11:59 - 03:12:02 | Speaker 1:

What did I do? That tickled you, KP.

03:12:03 - 03:12:05 | Speaker 3:

You're sassy this morning, mister.

03:12:05 - 03:12:11 | Speaker 1:

Look, you're probably right. I'm not feeling well, so. I think it was the bingo.

03:12:11 - 03:12:15 | Speaker 2:

It was the bingo. All right, say your comment. What's up, Carrie? I'll slap on you.

03:12:17 - 03:12:24 | Speaker 3:

She needs to slow down a little bit. You need to take some new time because it's a lot.

03:12:24 - 03:12:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but it's been a while, though, Carrie. That's the thing.

03:12:27 - 03:12:30 | Speaker 3:

I know. That's why she needs to slow down.

03:12:30 - 03:12:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I know. Or don't slow down, Carrie. Maybe she just needs to go out and have fun and forget talking about him. Like, get into a new relationship. The best way, you know, for her to get over this guy is to get under some other guy and find somebody else that might be in a better position. Right? Like, if she doesn't talk about, Jared, are you attracted to her? Like, is she an attractive woman that you thought she was pretty?

03:12:53 - 03:12:54 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

03:12:54 - 03:12:54 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

03:12:54 - 03:12:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, look, I stuck through three dates going through this.

03:12:58 - 03:13:06 | Speaker 2:

So she doesn't bring up the ex and this fiance and their wedding registry. You're thinking she's great. She blew it by bringing this whole thing up.

03:13:07 - 03:13:08 | Speaker 3:

100%.

03:13:08 - 03:13:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. 100%. All right. I hope that we helped with that, Macy.

03:13:12 - 03:13:14 | Speaker 3:

I appreciate it.

03:13:14 - 03:13:17 | Speaker 1:

so y'all going out again

03:13:17 - 03:13:21 | Speaker 2:

Jared

03:13:21 - 03:13:27 | Speaker 1:

I don't think so alright thank you for the call

03:13:27 - 03:13:32 | Speaker 2:
