00:03:19 - 00:03:53 | Unknown:

Showtime. We'll be right back.

00:03:53 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 7:

good morning it's thursday war of the roses day here on the mojo of the morning show you guys remember the last big snowstorm that we had a couple of weeks ago where it was like really really bad uh in certain areas i know that uh it was the detroit area that got hit like the hardest out of this one. And then Toledo also got hit. Well, coming up this morning on the Mojo in the Morning Show, War of the Roses, did that snowstorm actually help us catch a cheater? You will hear this morning after 7 o'clock, A War of the Roses, that I want you to stick around and make sure you listen for. And if you do have to step away or maybe somebody calls you, this usually does happen. I always suggest put your phone on Do Not Disturb. Somebody calls you. I had a listener that said last week they were trying to listen to the War of the Rules.

00:05:00 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 1:

roses at nine o'clock when we play it and they said that their boss called them and they had to pick up their boss's phone and they were so upset and thank god we actually post our podcast as the show goes on so uh phone scams uh we've got the five at 655 kimberly is getting closer and closer to that 15 today she's going for her 14th win in a row so just two more left and then we'll see how she does against shannon uh and a whole bunch more we got to get to this one spike had to go to the hospital yesterday it's the only hospital music that i actually know it's funny you play

00:05:35 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 2:

that uh my girlfriend just started watching all the gray's anatomies all over again your daughter is a big gray's anatomy yeah i think that's why it started it ran through the household and so now you know she's gonna diagnose me for everything because she's watching the show so she could

00:05:49 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 1:

actually tell you everything that's wrong the only thing you get out of gray's anatomy and And Chelsea and Jacob watch it together every week. They actually have, like, their gray snapshot that they go back and forth with. But the only thing you get out of it is the relationship drama. Yeah.

00:06:03 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 2:

You can have sex in a closet, apparently, at the hospital.

00:06:07 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 1:

So yesterday we talked about, you know, Shannon's dad and how she bribed him to go to the hospital, which then got us talking to you about your hitting your head.

00:06:16 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 2:

Something in the men's gene that we're just reluctant to go to the doctor and go to the hospital. I don't want to be bothered. I'm like, the body heals itself. Well, after all the nagging from our listeners and Shannon and Meg, I called my doctor, and when I started telling them the symptoms, I was like, I need to get an appointment in there, told them everything that happened, told them the symptoms, the timeline, and they were like, don't come to the doctor. Go right to the emergency room. And I was like, what? I was like, no, it's really not that bad. I've been coming to work for three days. So then they put me on the phone with a triage nurse, and she was like, go right to the emergency room. So I did, and I got my head checked out. The doctors there, I love Henry Ford, by the way, just side note, shout out, every time I've ever been there, they're the best. They said, I definitely had a bad concussion. How do they tech for that? They did a bunch of physical tests, and then he's looking at my ears, and then he's doing a bunch of other things. And he said, it doesn't seem like anything more dangerous than that. So he says, what I'm supposed to do for a concussion is rest my brain. I'm like, what does rest my brain mean? because i feel like i've been doing that for 20 years but he said uh for the next week i'm not supposed to do anything mentally or physically challenging i'm supposed to rest sleep take naps not look at screens not think too much which you probably do all this way too much yeah i'm like there's no way i can't look at not look at screens and then he also said um try to avoid alcohol for the next week and i'm like pump the brakes doc this is super bowl week so probably not going to

00:07:49 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 1:

did he realize that you're just going to have a concussion then for yeah is that going anywhere

00:07:55 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 2:

right well you know we went through all the the different possibilities of what could have happened what did happen he said i still have a big giant red mark on my on the top of my head where i hit so even though the big goose egg went down he said it's still there's still a mark there

00:08:11 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 1:

yeah but he said it's very common yeah concussions are are are man they've always gone it seems like in the past undetected and then you find out later that if especially if you get multiple

00:08:21 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 2:

concussions it could be really really bad yeah so he said I had all the symptoms that showed I had a concussion but not all the worst symptoms which would show brain bleed or other things that could

00:08:32 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 1:

be worse well good well you are uh you're you're well and at uh Henry Ford did you go and eat in

00:08:39 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 2:

the cafeteria oh my gosh once I was discharged I went right to the cafe because I love I think i've talked on the air before i used to stop there on the way home from work to eat lunch when i was going home they just have a bunch of food stations and you know i know it might sound strange to pull into a hospital when you don't even have to go to the hospital you're not visiting people but they just always had good food there and on the healthier end so when i was trying to be healthy i know i can go there and get my kale and split pea soup or or you know the salads they have there and everything and i met so many nice listeners and nurses and and patients people visiting patients that recognized me right away and of course i wanted to hear my story i was like did you show them the knot on your head uh no i didn't show them i just told them why i was in there and

00:09:26 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 1:

they just looked at me like do you feel like you have to do that like when you're in a hospital you feel like you have to tell them why you're there well no but then i said this one lady asked

00:09:33 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 2:

me for a picture and she was like oh my gosh this is like such a bright spot in my day to meet you And I was like, oh, it's so nice. Thank you. And she asked what I was there for. And I told her the whole story. And I said, what are you here for? And she goes, oh, my father just died. And I'm like, oof. Like, oh, my gosh. Okay.

00:09:48 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I just had a bubble. Would you like to come to the cafeteria with me? Right, I know. Pea soup on me. Pea soup on me.

00:09:54 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Well, then all the nurses were surprised when I said how much I love the cafeteria. They're like, really? And I think it's, I said.

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 4:

It's probably because they work there every day. They don't want to go to the same place for the same food every day.

00:10:04 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 1:

Spike is signing autographs at the Henry Ford cafeteria later today, guys, if you'd like to go see him.

00:10:10 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 5:

What's going on, David? Nothing much. Good morning, y'all.

00:10:13 - 00:10:14 | Speaker 1:

How are you doing?

00:10:15 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 5:

I'm doing good. I know how it feels to get a concussion. When I was in high school, I got a concussion in a soccer game, and I still finished the soccer game out.

00:10:25 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 1:

Wow.

00:10:26 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 4:

It's not uncommon that people will ignore it or not realize it.

00:10:28 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 1:

Well, plus, David, I'm assuming when we all got injured, like nowadays they don't even allow you to be on the field if you look like you're a little bit zinged because we didn't know much, right? They didn't. Yeah. Yeah, so these, now, I can remember a buddy of mine had a broken leg and played the entire second half of a football game. Oh, my gosh. With a broken leg, and he was limping the way, and, you know, I was like, suck it up, you know?

00:10:54 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 4:

I told you how my girlfriend's been trying to work out. more often. This is what happens with a concussion. You guys talk over each other. I stopped, and then he stopped, and then it got awkward, so I started again. Oh, my God.

00:11:09 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Hold on a second. Hold on. Follow my finger. What's going on? Everybody okay here? What's going on, George? Spike, I'm glad

00:11:19 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 6:

you went in, and I'll tell you, my son had a total of probably nine at least concussions over his career of soccer from the age of three up. And the coaches now are trained to look for specific signs. But it was to the point where he had to, no electronics, no TV, no cell phones. I mean, it got pretty severe. But we actually had to have him wear what was called a field helmet to protect his head because he was such an aggressive player.

00:11:51 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God, I want Spike to have to wear a helmet.

00:11:53 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 6:

Yes.

00:11:55 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 1:

Can you just have a bike helmet on? Great.

00:11:57 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 6:

the funny thing is he has blonde hair he had this black just basically a padded helmet just an extra layer of protection

00:12:07 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 1:

and the coach

00:12:09 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 6:

it was mandatory that he had it on he told him he said look we need you in you're a major part of these games so if you don't have it on I can't play it it was like taking a soccer cleats he had to have them

00:12:22 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 4:

well George if he had nine concussions playing that game I'm not a doctor but I'd pretty much say you need a helmet, too. Have you ever thought about

00:12:29 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 1:

swimming? Exactly. Mike, can you send your helmet from West Michigan? My baby niece

00:12:37 - 00:12:43 | Speaker 3:

wears a helmet. She's six months old, and we put stickers all over it, so I'll bring you some decals for your helmet.

00:12:44 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 1:

Ray, how many concussions did you have?

00:12:48 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 7:

Over 70. I was a prize fighter for nine years, had over 400 fights. How are you still talking? He's fine. Seriously,

00:12:57 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 2:

No, I really mean that, 70 concussions. I mean, that's some pretty severe damage.

00:13:02 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, over, over. I'm fine, you know.

00:13:07 - 00:13:15 | Speaker 3:

Do you ever do, like, stupid stuff and just say, oh, I've had 70 concussions? Waka, waka, never mind. There you go.

00:13:15 - 00:13:20 | Speaker 1:

I love it. You got to work for the morning zoo radio show. That's the best. Waka, waka.

00:13:20 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, that'd be nice.

00:13:23 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 1:

Ray, what does Ray do for a living? I want to know.

00:13:25 - 00:13:30 | Speaker 7:

I'm actually, I drive heavy equipment Oh, good

00:13:30 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 6:

Awesome I've only hit two people this year

00:13:34 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 4:

Waka waka

00:13:38 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 6:

Waka waka

00:13:39 - 00:14:04 | Speaker 4:

I told you guys how my girlfriend's been trying to get me to work out And so then two weeks ago I threw my back out shoveling And I've had back injuries And this week I come home, I'm giving her the whole diagnosis What the doctor said about the concussion And there's this long pause And she goes, well, have you given any thought to what next week's injury will be of why you can't exercise or help clean the house?

00:14:05 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 1:

This is, by the way, this is the greatest excuse to get out of all that stuff, right? Yeah, that's what it sounds like. Do you remember when you didn't want to wear like your uniform in school or you didn't want to actually participate in gym class? So you would fake a note saying that you couldn't participate, that you hurt yourself. For some reason I never wanted to change Into the gym clothes in front of the other kids Because I didn't want them to see how small my penis was So I would have I would have my buddies Forge a note from my dad Saying that I couldn't do it Because I didn't want to have to be in gym class That's kind of the feeling that I'm getting With you If you want we'll have a doctor write a note To your girlfriend Megan Say he cannot work out this week

00:14:48 - 00:14:56 | Speaker 4:

Well I know I told the doctor to do that I'm like, she wanted me to clean the bathrooms this weekend, but I can't really bend over because of the vertigo. I get really dizzy.

00:14:58 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 1:

00:16:32 - 00:16:36 | Speaker 6:

There you go.

00:16:44 - 00:16:48 | Speaker 6:

00:16:48 - 00:16:51 | Speaker 4:

00:16:52 - 00:16:55 | Speaker 1:

What? Did we just become best friends? Yep.

00:16:55 - 00:17:00 | Speaker 6:

Great movie. And Katy Perry, what year was that, Justin?

00:17:01 - 00:17:03 | Speaker 7:

That was 2008, Mojo.

00:17:03 - 00:17:17 | Speaker 6:

Now, you got to say it like the Phillies announcer did. 2008, Mojo. Nice job, buddy. Congratulations. Setting you up with the prize. How you feeling, buddy?

00:17:18 - 00:17:20 | Speaker 7:

I'm tired, man. I've had a long week.

00:17:20 - 00:17:25 | Speaker 6:

I bet. Yeah, see, it feels like this week is dragged. I don't know what the story is.

00:17:26 - 00:17:27 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, wait for this weekend, buddy.

00:17:27 - 00:17:45 | Speaker 6:

I know. It's funny. I was thinking about this coming in today, that, you know, tomorrow, throwback throwdown and stuff. But I feel like this day hopefully goes by fast. We're setting you up with tickets to Astronomicon happening on March the 3rd through the 5th at Burton Manor. Tickets available at Astronomicon.com. Congratulations.

00:17:46 - 00:17:47 | Speaker 7:

All right, thanks. I appreciate it.

00:17:47 - 00:17:50 | Speaker 6:

Be safe, man. Rain coming down?

00:17:51 - 00:17:51 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yeah.

00:17:51 - 00:17:52 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:17:52 - 00:17:53 | Speaker 7:

Cold rain, too.

00:17:53 - 00:18:29 | Speaker 6:

Really? And it's going to actually, we're looking at temperatures today, like, in the mid to high 50s. This is unreal. I've got so many friends of mine that are so upset about the fact that we haven't seen snow. I'm, like, fine with it. Is that? I mean, am I, like, the only one? I know Megan loves the cold and stuff. I'm with you. Give me no snow, and I'm good. All right, here we go. So the word to text for Taylor is Taylor this hour. So text Taylor to win Taylor Swift tickets June 9th and 10th at Ford Field. Text 95500 with the word Taylor so that you can win.

00:18:30 - 00:18:32 | Speaker 7:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:18:33 - 00:18:36 | Speaker 6:

All right, Shannon's going to give us a look at what's trending this morning, the Dirty on the 30.

00:18:37 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

Amy Robach is officially the breadwinner in her relationship with TJ Holmes. Why do I say that? because I am told that she got a better severance package from ABC News than he did. Both got packages from ABC after their affair caused so much scandal that they had to be let go from their respective positions. But she got more money. Now, specific details of the settlement remain secret. But a really good source of mine over at ABC told me that because Amy's been at the network longer and has a much bigger contract than TJ, she naturally made out here. She also pulled double duty during her time at the network, co-hosting GMA3 with TJ. But remember, she was also on 2020. So both Amy and TJ back in New York City after taking a few trips here and there. They're just laying low in Manhattan for right now. Disney CEO Bob Iger announcing two new sequels to massive franchises are in development. We're getting a fifth Toy Story, a third Frozen, and a sequel to Zootopia. It was actually also announced. And Iger made the announcement that an Avatar experience will be coming to Disneyland in California. I know currently Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando has that Pandora, the world of Avatar. It's the best. Such a good ride. So the West Coast now is getting its version. And it looks like Tim Allen.

00:20:00 - 00:20:10 | Speaker 6:

We'll be back as Buzz if this fifth Toy Story film happens. I saw yesterday he shared a photo of Buzz Lightyear on his social media with the caption, See you soon, Woody. You are a sad, strange little man, and you have my pity.

00:20:10 - 00:20:17 | Speaker 3:

I thought it was interesting that Iger did that announcement. Yes. Right after he announced that he's firing 7,000 people.

00:20:17 - 00:20:24 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, cutting 7,000 jobs. Yeah, right, Megan? It's almost like they're trying to distract us. Yes. Might seem that way.

00:20:24 - 00:20:29 | Speaker 2:

You got a friend in Disney. What would you do for you? Put it for Bubba. Stick to it. Yeah.

00:20:30 - 00:21:14 | Speaker 6:

President Joe Biden's second State of the Union averaged about 24.17 million viewers across the four main broadcast networks and three largest cable news channels. Not great. Down about 29% from last year. It was one of the least watched State of the Union addresses of the past 30 years. And I love stories like this. A Kansas City Chiefs fan donated his kidney to a Philadelphia Eagles fan. and now they're going to the Super Bowl together. The guys, wait one second, let me introduce it. The guys first met in the Marines about 20 years ago, hadn't seen each other in person for years. They did keep in touch a little bit over Facebook where one of them saw the other's post asking for a kidney back in 2019.

00:21:15 - 00:21:20 | Speaker 5:

I posted on Facebook, does anybody have a spare kidney I can get? Minor junk.

00:21:21 - 00:21:27 | Speaker 4:

Gladwell sprang into action. His test was a perfect match. He says he knew what he had to do.

00:21:27 - 00:21:33 | Speaker 2:

you never leave a brother behind marines are a brand band of brothers you don't don't leave

00:21:33 - 00:21:41 | Speaker 5:

life. You know, I was worried about if I didn't get a kidney, my son would grow up without a

father. Just days ago, the Eagles president reached out to the Chiefs and the two teams banded together to bring these two fans to the Super Bowl. This diehard Eagles fan has not lost his loyalty or sense of humor, despite living with a kidney from a Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Chiefs kidney. I don't know how my body will react if the Chiefs win. Eagles are going to win.

00:22:23 - 00:22:30 | Speaker 3:

I love that. That's actually very nice. I know. I like that story, too. A lot of people, by the way, are giving up body parts for these things. You see the price of the tickets?

00:22:31 - 00:22:33 | Speaker 6:

Oh, what are the big ones this year?

00:22:33 - 00:23:00 | Speaker 3:

Well, they're saying that the price of tickets has more than doubled the price from last year. But I saw somebody that spent $100,000 on one seat for a game. And they're saying that more Philly fans are going to StubHub to buy. So that means that they're – and it's like – I think it's like 60 to 40 that they're going there. So they're saying that they believe that the stadium will be more Philadelphia Eagles fans than they are Kansas City Chiefs fans.

Mojo in the morning's dirt. And another phone scam coming up in minutes.

00:23:10 - 00:23:30 | Speaker 3:

Time now for a phone scam on Mojo in the morning. Irina wants us to scam her sister who is getting married this weekend. Oh, boy. And here we go again. This is like one of my favorites when we do this. We're phone scamming a bride on the week of her wedding. Spike is going to try and move their rehearsal dinner, and let's see how that goes. It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

00:23:31 - 00:23:41 | Speaker 7:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the Morning.

00:23:44 - 00:24:07 | Speaker 1:

Hello? Yeah, how you doing? And I'm looking to get a hold of Shayla or Andre, please. Shayla speaking. Hi, Shayla. It's Samuel Tarley from A** Club and Dining Room. How are you today? Where are you from again? Dragonglass. Oh, you mean where do I work? I'm calling from A** Club and Dining Room. I'm calling to confirm everything for the weekend. Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. It's wonderful to see a young couple so in love.

00:24:08 - 00:24:14 | Speaker 7:

I appreciate it. I'm used to someone else. That's why I'm a little call guard by the phone call.

00:24:14 - 00:24:22 | Speaker 1:

Well, that sounds mildly interesting to me. Listen, I need to go over details for your rehearsal dinner and notify you of a small change in the reservation for Friday night.

00:24:23 - 00:24:24 | Speaker 8:

What kind of change?

00:24:25 - 00:24:33 | Speaker 1:

I will answer your question with a question. Do you and your groom prefer Italian or Spanish tapas? Like, what kind of food do you guys like?

00:24:33 - 00:24:40 | Speaker 8:

Well, I went over this already. This is our rehearsal dinner this weekend, so this is up. Well, no. Is there a reason to pull up the information?

00:24:41 - 00:24:58 | Speaker 1:

Right. No, I have all the paperwork here. it's just that we had to make some changes for the betterment of the enjoyment of the night of your rehearsal dinner of your family of this particular situation you understand what i'm saying i don't understand you're saying so you have 22 people right 22 people at your in your party has that changed

00:25:00 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 4:

It has not.

00:25:00 - 00:25:02 | Speaker 3:

Well, that's too many for one place.

00:25:03 - 00:25:05 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to send you a confirmation email like that?

00:25:05 - 00:25:28 | Speaker 3:

I understand, but that confirmation email was sent when you placed a deposit and you made all the plans like six months ago. And things change, you know? Things have changed, and unfortunately, we have to move a bunch of people around because of all the parties that were booked in this room. Before you have an opinion, I want you to hear the idea. What I'm going to do is I'm going to put half your party in our sister restaurant across the street.

00:25:29 - 00:25:32 | Speaker 4:

No, you're not. You're out of your mind.

00:25:33 - 00:25:33 | Speaker 3:

Right.

00:25:33 - 00:25:36 | Speaker 4:

I want our party seated together as we discussed.

00:25:37 - 00:25:42 | Speaker 3:

Right, yeah. Well, we all want things in life. I mean, I want to be off this phone call and deep into a bottle of whiskey. I mean.

00:25:43 - 00:25:45 | Speaker 4:

I don't understand what's going on.

00:25:45 - 00:25:50 | Speaker 3:

Well, can I ask you a question? What's with the rehearsal dinner anyway? Like, you're all brainwashed fools. You know what I'm saying?

00:25:51 - 00:25:54 | Speaker 4:

Oh, now I'm a brainwashed fool. Are you out of your mind?

00:25:54 - 00:25:57 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm just saying, like, why does everyone need to have a rehearsal dinner?

00:25:57 - 00:25:59 | Speaker 4:

Do you mind insulting me?

00:25:59 - 00:26:01 | Speaker 3:

Well, no, I'm not insulting you.

00:26:01 - 00:26:04 | Speaker 4:

You are the contract that I've had for half a year.

00:26:04 - 00:26:10 | Speaker 3:

It's just not you. I'm saying all brides. Like, you already robbed an entire Saturday from people. Now you're going to ruin their Friday night, too. You know what I'm saying?

00:26:11 - 00:26:17 | Speaker 4:

If you were in front of me, I would wring your neck. I'm not even playing. I would wring your neck. I would not hold back.

00:26:18 - 00:26:22 | Speaker 3:

I'm just saying, like, some aunt will have too many cocktails and tell you that you need to wear your hair differently.

00:26:23 - 00:26:26 | Speaker 4:

With my hands around your throat, I would choke the life out of you.

00:26:26 - 00:26:34 | Speaker 3:

I could tell you're upset. So, like, what I'm saying is maybe you were drunk when you made the reservation. Like, you saw how small our place was, right?

00:26:34 - 00:26:38 | Speaker 4:

You took my reservation. You didn't have any of these concerns.

00:26:39 - 00:27:43 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I'm not concerned. Okay. Okay, first of all, I didn't take the reservation. I was in Cozumel the week you marched in here. And I know it's a liquor talking, but you better watch your words. You better just answer my question. Are you eating here or not? Are you eating here or not? You can go down to the bowling alley and eat out of a taco truck for all I care. I'm done talking to you. If you're done talking to me, you got to tell me, are you going to take the new arrangements or not? Because otherwise... Okay, well then IHOP has a buffet for you and your pedestrian trash family. Don't be freaking out on me. I'm not here for it. And Shayla, you are about to be phone scanned because this is the Mojo in the Morning Show. Your sister told us to phone scam you, sweetheart. This is not real. Your rehearsal is fine. I can do that. Okay. She said in the email that you needed a stress reliever. I'm like, what part of a phone scam is stress relief?

00:27:44 - 00:27:46 | Speaker 4:

Oh, her sarcasm. I need a bottle of champagne.

00:27:49 - 00:27:54 | Speaker 3:

Congratulations to you and Andre, not just on the phone scam, but on the wedding, too.

00:27:55 - 00:27:58 | Speaker 4:

Are we done? I've got a s*** to do. Oh, we're done.

00:28:00 - 00:28:04 | Speaker 5:

We will, we will scam you.

00:28:07 - 00:28:13 | Speaker 2:

00:33:03 - 00:33:12 | Speaker 1:

00:33:13 - 00:33:19 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Mornings 5 at 6.55. This is Mojo in the Morning live.

00:33:21 - 00:33:33 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning, we have a good contest that I'd just like to tell our salesperson, Crystal, who's, by the way, been disgusted by our social media this week. She sent us a note.

00:33:33 - 00:33:34 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh, that was so funny.

00:33:35 - 00:33:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm right there with her.

00:33:35 - 00:34:00 | Speaker 1:

The toe contest, it's our super toe to try to win like $200 and change, is still going on. And so make sure that you are taking a picture of your toe, whichever one is the sexiest, and then tag us on Instagram at Mojo in the Morn. But that is still going on. We have not canceled it, even though Crystal would like us to. So it's Mojo in the Morning Show. We're going to get to the War of the Roses.

00:34:00 - 00:34:06 | Speaker 2:

Catching cheaters. I'm proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

00:34:07 - 00:34:08 | Speaker 1:

Tasha.

00:34:09 - 00:34:09 | Speaker 3:

Hi.

00:34:09 - 00:34:18 | Speaker 1:

So, you're suspicious that your boyfriend is cheating on you because he didn't come home when it snowed last week?

00:34:19 - 00:34:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, my husband, actually.

00:34:21 - 00:34:22 | Speaker 1:

Your husband? Oh my gosh, okay.

00:34:22 - 00:34:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:34:24 - 00:34:32 | Speaker 1:

And it was something that he also kind of lied about, too. You want to explain where he said he was?

00:34:34 - 00:35:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You know that snowstorm that we had last week? Mm-hmm. That was when this first started. He was out. He was supposed to be visiting his mom. She lives, like, an hour north from us. And, you know, then we got all that snow, and he said that this squall came in and the roads were really bad. And he was just going to sleep over at his mom's so he didn't have to drive through the snow, which was fine. But then this week, I talked to his mom on the phone, and during the conversation, it became clear to me that he did not sleep over there. And I just want to know, you know, I want to know why he liked me, and I want to know where he was, too. And I haven't asked him about it yet because I thought that Where the Roses might get an answer for me real quick.

00:35:32 - 00:35:32 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

00:35:33 - 00:35:37 | Speaker 4:

Is there anything else that's been happening or is this kind of like an isolated incident?

00:35:39 - 00:35:59 | Speaker 3:

I mean, you know, looking back, my mind probably wouldn't have gone there if I hadn't been noticing some signs. Like, there have been times where I feel like he's been a little bit evasive, but, you know, I guess it didn't click into place for me until this incident that, you know, there might be something deeper going on.

00:35:59 - 00:36:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah.

00:36:00 - 00:36:02 | Speaker 2:

And have you ever caught him cheating before?

00:36:03 - 00:36:08 | Speaker 3:

No, I haven't. But, I mean, to be fair, I really haven't looked for him cheating before.

00:36:10 - 00:36:15 | Speaker 1:

Well, this is definitely weird if he said he slept over his mom's and then you find out she says he didn't sleep over there.

00:36:15 - 00:36:22 | Speaker 2:

We're going to call him up, and we're going to see where he sends a dozen free roses and see if we can get an answer for you. Mute your phone.

00:36:23 - 00:36:24 | Speaker 3:

Okay. All right.

00:36:37 - 00:36:37 | Speaker 5:

Hello?

00:36:38 - 00:36:40 | Speaker 4:

Hi, I'm looking for Jacoby ***, please.

00:36:41 - 00:36:42 | Speaker 5:

This is Jacoby.

00:36:43 - 00:37:05 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Jacoby. My name is Nicole, and I'm calling from a new online floral company called rosesbloom.com with an offer for some free flowers. Not going to ask you for your credit card information or anything, but if you have 30 seconds to answer two quick survey questions for me, we're going to be able to send out these flowers later today to the person of your choice anywhere in the country, and hopefully you will use rosesbloom.com in the future when you order flowers.

00:37:06 - 00:37:07 | Speaker 5:

Free?

00:37:07 - 00:37:10 | Speaker 4:

For free. Yep. Absolutely free. No strings attached.

00:37:11 - 00:37:13 | Speaker 5:

All right. I can answer some questions.

00:37:13 - 00:37:17 | Speaker 4:

Okay. The first question, have you purchased flowers in the last six months, Jacoby?

00:37:19 - 00:37:20 | Speaker 5:

No.

00:37:21 - 00:37:23 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months, maybe?

00:37:25 - 00:37:25 | Speaker 5:

Maybe.

00:37:26 - 00:37:27 | Speaker 4:

Maybe?

00:37:29 - 00:37:31 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I don't see why not.

00:37:31 - 00:37:49 | Speaker 4:

Okay. As a thank you for participating in that rosesbloom.com survey, like I said, I'm now authorized to provide you with one dozen long-stemmed red roses, just so you know what you're getting. They can go out as early as today, and I just need to get some info from you in terms of who these are going to go to, so we'll start with a first and a last name.

00:37:51 - 00:37:55 | Speaker 5:

Sure. Leona. L-E-O-N-A.

00:37:57 - 00:38:35 | Speaker 4:

Okay. And just so I'm going to start a file for you just to make it easier for when you do hopefully order from us in the future. So what is Leona's relationship to you? hello hi jacoby hello hi did you hear my question one more time um i'm gonna start an account for you a file for you just hopefully it'll make it easier when you order flowers from us in the future so what is leona's relationship to you um we work together okay so colleague

00:38:36 - 00:38:38 | Speaker 5:

We work together.

00:38:39 - 00:38:53 | Speaker 4:

Okay. And we also are offering something new right now. It's a digital voice card where you can leave your own message that will come via a text message to Leona's phone when the flowers get delivered. Did you want to do something like that?

00:38:55 - 00:38:56 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to do what?

00:38:56 - 00:39:12 | Speaker 4:

So essentially, you can record a voice message instead of us sending a paper card with the flowers. It's just, it's something new that we're doing and trying to make the deliveries a little bit more personal. Does that make sense?

00:39:13 - 00:39:14 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I guess.

00:39:14 - 00:39:28 | Speaker 4:

So when the flowers get delivered, Leona will get a text saying, you know, please go outside and check you have a delivery. And then the audio file will be along with that. So she'll know who they're from.

00:39:29 - 00:39:32 | Speaker 5:

And it won't get traced back to me or anything like that, right?

00:39:33 - 00:39:34 | Speaker 4:

Well, she'll know it's from you.

00:39:34 - 00:39:41 | Speaker 5:

because it'll be your voice okay all right i mean that makes sense okay so did you want to go ahead

00:39:41 - 00:39:49 | Speaker 4:

and do that sure okay give me one second and i am going to count you down and then we'll go ahead

00:39:49 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 5:

and record it okay great okay and three two one hey leona i had a great time last week can't wait

00:40:00 - 00:40:01 | Speaker 4:

See you again. Thanks for everything.

00:40:03 - 00:40:03 | Unknown:

Jacoby.

00:40:05 - 00:40:11 | Speaker 3:

Awesome. And, Jacoby, real quick, I have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that?

00:40:12 - 00:40:38 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, sure. Great. Hey, Jacoby, I'm just going to jump on real quick, and we'll send those flowers off. But I just need to tell you a couple last things, okay, before we let you go. Oh, he hung up the phone. We never got a chance to tell him. Tasha?

00:40:39 - 00:40:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm still here. Do you know who that person is? Yeah.

00:40:47 - 00:40:50 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I do, actually.

00:40:51 - 00:40:56 | Speaker 1:

So it's somebody he works with? Have you ever been suspicious of her and him together?

00:40:56 - 00:41:15 | Speaker 5:

um i wouldn't say suspicious in the past i have been a little bit jealous but i thought that was all on me and um uh this is all kind of clicking into place sorry this is uh there's a lot to

00:41:15 - 00:41:31 | Speaker 1:

take in but um you stay you stay right here and we're gonna get him he's actually on he got we got him back on the phone we're gonna we're gonna get an explanation okay okay all right hang on one

00:41:31 - 00:41:41 | Speaker 2:

second this is the home of the war of the roses mojo in the morning this is the home of war of the roses i absolutely love it mojo in the morning

00:41:41 - 00:42:17 | Speaker 1:

mojo in the morning war of the roses a wife suspects that her husband's cheating when his mom says he never stayed at our house during the snowstorm a lie that definitely gets him busted but then he sends flowers to another woman and won't stay on the phone with us when he notices that he's been set up. Tasha, are you okay trying this out? Are you okay doing this?

00:42:20 - 00:42:21 | Speaker 5:

I think so.

00:42:22 - 00:42:42 | Speaker 1:

All right. Jacoby, you're on with us right now. And just so you know, Jacoby, that we have on the phone with us your wife who was listening in to every word that you said, including the words that you said while you were sending flowers to another woman?

00:42:44 - 00:42:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm just doing this for a coworker. I mean, just a friend of mine.

00:42:51 - 00:42:57 | Speaker 5:

What were you talking about last week? Said you had a great time last week.

00:42:58 - 00:43:00 | Speaker 1:

What did you say?

00:43:01 - 00:43:02 | Speaker 4:

We work together every week.

00:43:02 - 00:43:06 | Speaker 5:

Then what was so special about last week?

00:43:08 - 00:43:09 | Speaker 4:

Nothing, nothing.

00:43:11 - 00:43:13 | Speaker 3:

Well, it had to be something because...

00:43:13 - 00:43:14 | Speaker 2:

You pointed it out in your message.

00:43:14 - 00:43:20 | Speaker 3:

Well, not only that, but also you chose to send flowers to somebody other than your wife. And it wouldn't just be just because.

00:43:22 - 00:43:23 | Speaker 4:

She's just a really good friend.

00:43:26 - 00:43:36 | Speaker 1:

Well, there's something else that Tasha found out about. And Tasha, do you want to tell your husband what you found out about?

00:43:38 - 00:43:42 | Speaker 5:

I talked to your mom, and I know that you never went to her house last week.

00:43:46 - 00:43:49 | Speaker 4:

I was there. I was there with my mom, I swear.

00:43:50 - 00:44:02 | Speaker 5:

Your mom's lying? Is that what you're saying to me? No. Your mom is lying, and coincidentally, you happened to send flowers to someone and thanked them for last week. Do you really want me to believe that?

00:44:04 - 00:44:13 | Speaker 4:

I'm sorry. What is going on? I'm so confused. Let's answer her questions. She's just a good friend. I was at my mom's. I don't know what else to say.

00:44:14 - 00:44:16 | Speaker 2:

Why does your mom say you weren't there?

00:44:18 - 00:44:24 | Speaker 4:

I don't know why she would say that. You know, my mom's getting old. Maybe she's losing it a little bit. I don't know.

00:44:24 - 00:44:26 | Speaker 2:

Dude, you sent flowers to your co-worker.

00:44:26 - 00:44:36 | Speaker 4:

but she she's always there for me she's really good she covers me all the time at work i mean i'm just showing some you know respect to send her some flowers

00:44:36 - 00:44:43 | Speaker 5:

i am never gonna believe that this is all innocent

00:44:43 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 1:

i'm gonna let you guys talk uh together when we're not around so i'm gonna put you guys on a separate line and and if you're up for that tasha you you tell

00:45:00 - 00:45:54 | Speaker 9:

our producer that you're up for that okay so both you guys hang on the phone for just one second okay um i'm gonna take some calls here in a second but a couple of just thoughts on this war of the roses interesting mom being his alibi for him not to think that that could catch up to him you know and come back where a situation like this happens where you know tasha talks to her mother-in-law and you know says something about it or even if what if she called that night you know uh to check in and then the other thought uh that i had with this after we did the war of the roses was where did they say that they were going to be and you found out that they were somewhere else where were they um because that's always interesting to see where people you know what

00:45:54 - 00:46:10 | Speaker 1:

they use is their place of alibi but i think the most common one that we get and i'd love to hear from listeners on yours seems like a lot of people especially guys will use the travel for work excuse like oh yeah yeah i have to go to chicago for work and they're not for work at all right

00:46:10 - 00:46:39 | Speaker 9:

and in this case especially because of co-workers too right there's that that's that's like our biggest i think uh person that people cheat with when we do war the roses kim wants to comment By the way, you I'm sure heard this because we did it, but it was a new thing that we wanted to try out. And actually our producer had this idea of doing the voice memo thing. Kim, you wanted to comment on that?

00:46:40 - 00:46:46 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I noticed when he was being asked the question, he asked if it could be traced back to him.

00:46:46 - 00:46:55 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. Yeah, he did not want anybody to know. Oh, it was him doing it. Yet it was going to be his voice. Dead giveaway.

00:46:56 - 00:47:00 | Speaker 9:

Yeah. Justin, what's up? You wanted to also comment on the voice memo.

00:47:01 - 00:47:07 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, I love the voice memo idea. You have an extra recording of them telling on themselves. Right.

00:47:08 - 00:47:10 | Speaker 1:

Would you like to record your confession?

00:47:10 - 00:47:19 | Speaker 2:

Well, not only that, but we're hoping that when we do this more and more in the future, that they'll give even more details. Yeah. You know, that we can kind of pick apart for evidence.

00:47:19 - 00:47:23 | Speaker 8:

evidence. Absolutely, Shannon. Hopefully they will. Thanks, buddy. Appreciate it.

00:47:23 - 00:47:31 | Speaker 9:

What's going on? Love you. Love you. I love you, too. What's happening, Amber?

00:47:32 - 00:47:35 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how are you guys doing? Good. War of the Roses

00:47:35 - 00:47:39 | Speaker 9:

reactions. What did you think? I think

00:47:39 - 00:47:55 | Speaker 4:

that he's lacking accountability and he's playing dumb. You know, my mom's getting older and forgetful uh i think that you're irresponsible yeah and uh you know lack accountability that's

00:47:55 - 00:48:02 | Speaker 9:

what i think yeah thank you for the call gianna hi it's mojo in the morning hi good morning

00:48:02 - 00:48:16 | Speaker 7:

good morning um i thought it was very funny how he was saying that it was all innocent but he sent a dozen red roses to someone not his wife right before valentine's day yeah yeah not good this

00:48:16 - 00:48:17 | Speaker 1:

It seems cut and dry.

00:48:18 - 00:48:35 | Speaker 9:

Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Well, there's not much excuses that you could use after that. I mean, him just hanging up the phone right away to me calls for guilt. And in less, he just thought he was getting scammed in another type of a way. But Sarah, what's going on?

00:48:36 - 00:48:55 | Speaker 5:

Hi, I was just going to say, why don't they contact Leona? Obviously, she works with him. Well. And that's actually happened to me. Really? The co-worker thing? Yep. My ex said that he wasn't with her and he lied, lied, lied. And then all of a sudden I told, you know, I said, well, let's contact her. And she told me everything.

00:48:56 - 00:49:03 | Speaker 9:

Did you always have a bad feeling about this woman and him and their relationship?

00:49:04 - 00:49:10 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, they worked in the plant together on midnight shift and I had a feeling and I was right.

00:49:10 - 00:49:14 | Speaker 9:

I mean, Tasha right away knew that there was something going on there.

00:49:14 - 00:49:24 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, she's jealous of Leona. She says, I mean, basically, I'm not saying jealous of Leona, but she just said that, you know, she was worried about her. So, you know, her gut feeling is right.

00:49:24 - 00:49:33 | Speaker 1:

I love this show. I love working with everybody on this show. I've never wanted to send any of them red roses and say, I can't wait to see you again. Rude. Yeah.

00:49:35 - 00:49:37 | Speaker 9:

Jill, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Where are the roses?

00:49:38 - 00:49:40 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. I said that we should call his mom.

00:49:41 - 00:49:43 | Speaker 2:

A lot of people are saying that. Yeah.

00:49:43 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 3:

I so my ex actually saved his ex's phone number and his phone as mom and then the number two like two phones Oh and I know his mom didn't have phone two phones because I knew his mom And I read the text messages one day and there was like a couple that were like maybe a little bit

00:50:00 - 00:50:12 | Speaker 1:

Flirty but not like outright flirty And so I asked him about it and she was like He was like oh I don't know she was being weird And I'm like hmm that's really weird And so I read it again like a couple days later And it was so clear that it was not His mom

00:50:12 - 00:50:20 | Speaker 6:

And amazing to think that your mom You know is not going to have a conversation With you you know

00:50:20 - 00:50:22 | Speaker 1:

To talk about putting like winky faces

00:50:22 - 00:50:22 | Speaker 6:

Yeah

00:50:22 - 00:50:35 | Speaker 1:

Totally his mom Weird stuff like that but then also just I just knew his mom and I'm like No, but also, why would you want to be flirting with somebody and see their name as mom, even if it wasn't your mom?

00:50:35 - 00:50:39 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, you're right. That is kind of creepy. What's up, Audie?

00:50:40 - 00:51:01 | Speaker 3:

Hi, good morning. Good morning. I wanted to comment on the fact that, you know, they're coworkers, so they see each other every day. And he did say that in his excuse. But in the voice memo, he said, I'll see you next week. So what makes next week so special besides the fact that it's Valentine's Day if you guys see each other every day? That is a great point

00:51:01 - 00:51:04 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, we honestly didn't even catch that That's actually a

00:51:04 - 00:51:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I noticed that I was like, let me call in and point that out

00:51:08 - 00:51:17 | Speaker 6:

Thank you for pointing that out We're going to have to ask Tasha about that May, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning You had an ex that did the same exact thing?

00:51:18 - 00:52:11 | Speaker 4:

Yep I was dating a female And she ended up working third shift At, I'm not going to say where Because I'm sure people probably know who I am And she started messing around with someone who was my friend for since i was a child and she told me she was at work wasn't texting me back i finally found out that no she was not at work because i actually called up to her work they said no i ended up going out that night and i got into a car with a drunk driver and i ended up almost dying that night oh my god yeah and she's still to this day even though we haven't spoken in almost seven years refuses to tell me the truth that that's where she was and that's what was going on wow oh god wow yeah and so luckily when you listen to this

00:52:11 - 00:52:16 | Speaker 6:

war of the roses it brings back that all back up doesn't it it does and it's absolutely terrible

00:52:16 - 00:52:31 | Speaker 4:

it makes me remember everything that's happened and i'm sure it triggers a lot of other women as well to things that they've had to deal with with the same thing and it's not we can see through the crap that this is a lie. He's not telling the truth. He got caught up, period.

00:52:32 - 00:52:48 | Speaker 6:

Wow. Awful. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it. You're welcome. I asked the question of where did they say they were and where were they? And listen to some of these ones. They're crazy. Sarah, where did your ex-husband say that he was?

00:52:51 - 00:52:51 | Speaker 5:

Church.

00:52:52 - 00:52:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, geez. And what was he really doing? He joined a couple's bowling league.

00:52:59 - 00:53:02 | Speaker 6:

And bowling around? Yes.

00:53:02 - 00:53:03 | Unknown:

I'm not going to hear you, man.

00:53:04 - 00:53:04 | Speaker 6:

Wow.

00:53:05 - 00:53:09 | Speaker 1:

Who were the other couples? Like, did they know that he was a married guy and this wasn't his wife?

00:53:11 - 00:53:23 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if they knew he was married, but it was a couple league that she was on with her husband. And she kicked him off to have my husband join.

00:53:23 - 00:53:31 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. Jeez. Michelle, you had someone use you as an excuse, as an alibi, right?

00:53:32 - 00:54:12 | Speaker 5:

Yes. My good friend was having an affair, unbeknownst to me, and she was going to meet up with him and told her husband that we were going to go shopping and out to dinner and go out and have some drinks, and she'd be home really late. He, I guess, believed her, and my husband and I went out to dinner, and who walked in the restaurant? her husband and his mother going out to dinner oh geez looked at me like oh my god you know like where is you know and that was a really awkward awkward situation they ended up getting divorced over the whole thing and she had been having an affair for years and i had not a clue

00:54:13 - 00:54:19 | Speaker 6:

Unreal. Yeah. Well, good. Karma caught up. And this is wild. Katie.

00:54:21 - 00:54:22 | Speaker 5:

Hi.

00:54:22 - 00:54:25 | Speaker 6:

Who was this? Your husband or boyfriend?

00:54:26 - 00:54:55 | Speaker 5:

No, this was an ex-boyfriend. It was about, I think we were like two and a half years in. And I needed to, he wasn't able, he was actually in the hospital. He wasn't able to use his phone, and I needed to contact his parents. And I knew his password. I knew everything, so I was never suspicious. And I get into his contacts, and there's, like, nine or ten different moms and dads.

00:54:56 - 00:54:57 | Speaker 6:

Oh, wow.

00:54:58 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 5:

Wow.

00:55:00 - 00:55:13 | Speaker 4:

Okay, first of all, now I'm panicking because I don't even know actually who to contact. And second of all, like once I had time to sit there and let it sink in, I was like, all right, this is a serious problem.

00:55:14 - 00:55:19 | Speaker 5:

What a dummy. So did you have to go through all of them to finally find his right mom or dad?

00:55:20 - 00:55:27 | Speaker 4:

Well, I ended up having to contact his sister and be like, what are your parents' numbers? Because I don't have them in my phone.

00:55:27 - 00:55:32 | Speaker 5:

Could you imagine if you went to go get his sister's number and there was, like, 12 sisters in there? That would have been crazy, too.

00:55:33 - 00:55:33 | Speaker 4:

God.

00:55:33 - 00:55:34 | Speaker 5:

Oh, man.

00:55:34 - 00:55:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that was my next thought. And then his excuse was that they've just changed their phone number a lot over the years, and he's never bothered to delete you. Right.

00:55:45 - 00:55:54 | Speaker 5:

Right. Amazing. All right. Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses. You're home with the phone scams. War of the Roses. And the journey on the 30.

00:55:54 - 00:55:56 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning.

00:55:56 - 00:55:57 | Speaker 5:

This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:55:58 - 00:56:00 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:56:01 - 00:56:03 | Speaker 5:

Shannon with the Dirty on the 30. What's up this hour?

00:56:04 - 00:56:29 | Speaker 2:

Well, Jennifer Lopez apparently gave Ben Affleck the heads up that his miserable, bored facial expressions had been turned into a meme during the actual Grammy Awards. She knew during the awards? He knew. Well, she knew, and then she told him. And this info, by the way, is coming from a woman who was a seat filler for them during the show. She's spilling all of the details over on TikTok.

00:56:29 - 00:56:58 | Speaker 3:

The whole time they were cute and s***. J-Lo showed Ben Affleck the phone and was like, oh my God, honey, look at this meme circulating about you. And he was like, oh God, this again. Like he knew during the performance that he was a meme. Like he knew and he also chose just not to change his expression. Like I love how unbothered that is. But they were super lovey-dovey. Like, their hands were always intertwined. I don't, like, I don't know how to describe it, but they just were. So it wasn't like, oh, my God, this is going to lead to divorce. Like, they were cute.

00:56:59 - 00:57:03 | Speaker 5:

I guess you should call her former seat filler because she's not going to be invited back.

00:57:04 - 00:57:10 | Speaker 2:

She also talked about, like, how it was her dream to sit right in front of Beyonce and everybody around her.

00:57:10 - 00:57:15 | Speaker 5:

Isn't it wild, though, to know that the celebrities are all on their phones trying to see if people are talking about them?

00:57:15 - 00:58:20 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, what they're wearing, what their makeup and hair looks like. An American Idol contestant, former contestant, is suing the producers of the show. Normandy Vamos appeared on the 20th season of Idol, which aired, I think it was last year. She ended up making it all the way to Hollywood. But she says she is a victim of wage theft and that the celebrity judges turned her into a lapping stock on national television. She said in her argument she should have been paid as an employee for the time she spent in L.A. says that she and the other contestants were required to remain in Hollywood at a Hollywood hotel on standby for 15 hours a day for eight consecutive days while waiting for their auditions. And they did so without getting paid. So her attorney furthers what she says and said, American Idol's producers seem to feel they can break labor laws and exploit ambitious young performers simply because they may be eager for a shot at becoming the next Jennifer Hudson or Carrie Underwood, Vamos, and other performers It took 20 years for somebody to do this. Who create content for American Idol have rights as employees, but the producers have chosen to ignore those rights. So we'll see where this goes.

00:58:20 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 5:

I bet you that they have something in, like, writing that you sign off on that says there's no way. Oh, for sure. I mean, you're part of a competition.

00:58:27 - 00:58:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Right? The Phoenix Suns are acquiring Kevin Durant in a blockbuster trade with the Brooklyn Nets.

00:58:34 - 00:58:36 | Speaker 5:

Matt Ispia making a splash.

00:58:36 - 00:59:08 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, the Suns are sending Michael Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jake Crowder, four first-round picks, and a 20-28 pick swap to Brooklyn. Phoenix is also getting T.J. Warren in the deal. Now, Kevin Durant wanted this move, and like you said, the new Suns majority owner, Matt Ishbia, pushing to get that deal done on the eve of the NBA trade deadline. So, Kevin Durant currently out with an MCL sprain in his right knee. He's likely, fingers crossed, going to be ready to return after the mid-February All-Star break.

00:59:09 - 00:59:45 | Speaker 5:

They're definitely the favorites. By the way, can I say this real quick? Because I was going to mention this yesterday and I forgot. Did you see that Dan Gilbert was like the only owner to say no to Matt Ishpia? The owners had to vote on his ownership. And Dan Gilbert voted no on the... Do they have to give a reason? I guess not. Well, I think his reason was, I don't like him. He's my competitor. Right, right. But yeah, that was interesting. But what a trade. And then the Lakers made a trade, too. This doesn't really help him, but Russell Westbrook is no longer a Laker. Now he's a Utah Jazz. They traded and got D'Angelo Russell, but they're saying the Pistons might make a big trade today.

00:59:46 - 00:59:52 | Speaker 1:

I've got to ask a dumb question, because yesterday we talked about LeBron wanting to play with his son, right? When does his son enter the NBA?

00:59:53 - 00:59:55 | Speaker 5:

I think it's another couple years. Oh, still?

00:59:55 - 00:59:57 | Speaker 1:

So I thought it was next year.

00:59:57 - 01:00:00 | Speaker 5:

No, because I think he's got to do one year. I don't know how.

01:00:00 - 01:00:35 | Speaker 2:

that works he's got to either do g-league or one year of college okay in order to do this but it's interesting though lebron didn't want to russell westbrook anymore uh and then there also is a rumor that he doesn't want antonio davis anymore because antonio davis sat the entire time that lebron scored the record oh my gosh they said that uh i saw that did you see that yeah jalen between millionaires jalen rose was like that as as a competitor him sitting down was the worst thing you could possibly have done like the here's the here's the biggest record in the nba and he's sitting on the bench which shows that he and lebron must not get along

01:00:35 - 01:01:03 | Speaker 4:

uh and lastly super bowl 2023 isn't just about the game between the chiefs and the eagles there's a game lots of prop bets for you to make a little bit of money on uh i mean it's always like the same thing the national anthem if it's over 124 seconds under 124 seconds you know what the Biggest prop bet? Chris Stapleton, I think, he's, like, slower-faced. Yeah, but he's also traditionally. So I think this is going to be a little longer.

01:01:03 - 01:01:25 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if he's going to do, you know, a lot of the R&B singers will do long fillers, and they really customize it. I think he'll stay true to the National Anthem. What's the bonus you said this is a big one? One of the biggest prop bets is what song will Rihanna start with? Start with, yes. Because she has not been on tour or done any music stuff in, like, five years. So, really, it's wide open. You have no idea what she's going to be doing.

01:01:25 - 01:01:29 | Speaker 4:

Okay, but odds are on Don't Stop the Music. Don't Stop the Music.

01:01:29 - 01:01:29 | Speaker 3:

Yep.

01:01:30 - 01:01:33 | Speaker 4:

No. No, no, no. I'm just telling you what Vegas is saying.

01:01:33 - 01:01:40 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but it has to be a song that's like one of her biggest songs that in like a second of the note, you'll know exactly what it is.

01:01:40 - 01:01:43 | Speaker 2:

I think it's this. I agree. Yeah. It's either this.

01:01:43 - 01:01:44 | Speaker 4:

Maybe Run This Town.

01:01:44 - 01:01:45 | Speaker 2:

Or Umbrella.

01:01:45 - 01:01:47 | Speaker 4:

Run This Town would be a good one. Run This Town's a strong guess.

01:01:47 - 01:01:51 | Speaker 3:

Well, it's got to be one that your aunt knows too. So I will tell you, I bet you it will start.

01:01:51 - 01:01:52 | Speaker 4:

Bitch better have my money.

01:01:52 - 01:02:02 | Speaker 3:

No. It's going to start with a low tempo One of her biggest slower songs But she's only going to do one verse or one line And then slam into one of her big dances

01:02:02 - 01:02:14 | Speaker 4:

Okay, another bet Halftime guests Jay-Z, Calvin Harris David Guetta's on there They just have Rocky Eminem's on the list Kanye, T.I.

01:02:14 - 01:02:15 | Speaker 2:

Eminem is not going

01:02:15 - 01:02:17 | Speaker 3:

I agree with you, I'm just saying

01:02:17 - 01:02:20 | Speaker 2:

I'm betting no because he's already told people he's not going

01:02:20 - 01:02:29 | Speaker 3:

Jay-Z's a good guest because Doesn't he produce the NFL entertainment? Isn't it part? Yes. Isn't that all part of it? And he's had a couple songs that he could do.

01:02:29 - 01:02:50 | Speaker 4:

Chris Stapleton hat primary color. Black versus any other color. Something you can bet on. Rihanna's hair color is on here. And then over-under song totals for Rihanna's halftime. So over eight songs or under eight songs. I still think she's going to start with Ponday Replay. It's where she started. Everybody knows it. It's a hype song. You want to know something, Megan? Ponday Replay is not even on the list. No.

01:02:51 - 01:02:53 | Speaker 3:

I doubt she'll even do that song. Isn't that crazy?

01:02:53 - 01:02:56 | Speaker 4:

Oh, disagree. It's one of her biggest songs that it was her first hit.

01:02:57 - 01:03:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but look at her last tour in, was it 2016, 2017? She wasn't even performing that song most of the time because it doesn't fit her vocal range anymore. She was very young when she did it.

01:03:06 - 01:03:09 | Speaker 4:

You want to place the bet? What do you want to put on it? Yeah, let's do it.

01:03:09 - 01:03:14 | Speaker 2:

My favorite bets are on the first commercial, too. What's the first commercial that will air after the game starts?

01:03:14 - 01:03:15 | Speaker 4:

What do you think it's going to be?

01:03:15 - 01:03:19 | Speaker 2:

They say Anheuser-Busch. Well, because they have the most commercials, yeah.

01:03:19 - 01:03:22 | Speaker 4:

All right, for all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on MojoInTheMorning.com.

01:03:23 - 01:03:28 | Speaker 3:

This is the home of the Dirty on the 30. Fox Cams and War of the Roses. Mojo in the Morning.

01:03:30 - 01:03:37 | Speaker 2:

Did I win? You're a winner. Congratulations to you, Caitlin. You got the tickets. You're going to see Lil Wayne.

01:03:38 - 01:03:39 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I'm shaking so bad right now.

01:03:40 - 01:03:57 | Speaker 2:

We're setting you up with the tickets. You're going to see Lil Wayne. You're going to be at the Fillmore. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com. There's actually, I don't believe any tickets left. I don't know, because I think that venue has already been sold out. But you've got to listen to us to win those tickets, okay?

01:03:58 - 01:03:59 | Speaker 1:

Thank you so much.

01:03:59 - 01:04:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, any ticket that you get is a resale ticket. So, yep, win them from us here on the Mojo & More Show. Yeah, it's great. Well, you know what? He's doing these more intimate destinations like the Fillmore, a little less people. But he's going to make a little bit more money. Congratulations to you. Have a great time.

01:04:16 - 01:04:21 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. We got Santa Margarita by the lady. She know even the fucking one.

01:04:21 - 01:04:22 | Speaker 2:

I haven't heard of this. We've got Throwback Throwdown tomorrow.

01:04:23 - 01:04:24 | Speaker 1:

That's how you feel, man. It's really how you feel.

01:04:24 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 2:

My favorite is Lil Wayne, just when he comes out and does all the songs that you love. And he sometimes forgets his own lyrics to his songs. That's actually one of my favorites. I'm betting on that. Will Rihanna forget any of her lyrics to her songs? Actually, you know what's a good bet for this? We were just talking about this in The Dirty. will she do like a gaga where she'll like scale from the rooftops or be let down by a helicopter like they always have to do something that over that tops whatever it is that comes

01:05:00 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 1:

You guys.

01:05:00 - 01:05:01 | Speaker 2:

In past years.

01:05:01 - 01:05:18 | Speaker 1:

I think it's going to be a Fenty show with a new Fenty drop during it. That would be so smart of her. That's a great idea. It would be so smart. They can't have people out on the field anyways. Anybody who's out on the field are always paid actors. So why not just have it be another fashion show for her brand?

01:05:19 - 01:05:21 | Speaker 2:

But does America care about a fashion show? Yes.

01:05:21 - 01:05:37 | Speaker 1:

It's so much better than the Victoria's Secret fashion show. It's not even funny. I want to see it all the time. And I want a specific merch drop. I know she did one already for the Super Bowl with, like, some dumb, like, T-shirts that I love. But, like, a Fenty drop for it would be sick.

01:05:37 - 01:06:46 | Speaker 2:

Here's another one, too. Will, during the song umbrella, will there be rain coming down, fake rain coming down? That's a big prop bet, too, that they have. Is it a closed stadium or open-air stadium in Arizona? It is a both. But I think it's going to be open-air because they're doing, they're actually having, before the game, the fighter jets fly. Yeah. All the fighter jets are going to be flown by women. So they're all female fighter pilots from Luke Air Force Base. Nice. That is right there. And it's because it's celebrating the anniversary of women in the military. Can I tell you guys something that, and this was not even scheduled to tell, but I'm going to tell it anyway. I got busted trying to bet on the game. So, and I don't know if this, this actually, the topic could be on this one, The topic could be, did you ever get busted making a purchase and you didn't want to tell your spouse about it or a significant other about it? Like with the holidays, I'm sure that happens all the time. Mine was getting busted betting on the game. Well, I know you gamble on the apps once in a while. Only for this stuff.

01:06:46 - 01:06:48 | Speaker 3:

Did you tell Chelsea you wouldn't for the Super Bowl?

01:06:48 - 01:08:01 | Speaker 2:

No. So I only bet, and it's usually me and Luke, my son, betting together. But my wife, Chelsea, doesn't know that when I initially started on the thing, I put $500 in the thing. And when I put $500 in the thing, I would just play with that money for a good period of time. Well, I was only down about $10.34 inside of my app. So I decided I wanted to bet on the game, and I really have a gut feeling that Philadelphia is going to win this thing. So I wanted to bet on Philadelphia. And I thought, I'm going to do a sizable amount. I'm going to do something that's going to be big enough where we can actually use it and have fun with it and do something really good with it. So I decided to reload in my account $1,000 to put in there. And when it comes out of the thing, I thought it came out of my credit card because then I could not have to worry about explaining that because I pay it off after the month. Well, it doesn't. They make it come out of your bank account because they want that money right away. So I did the button And what ends up happening is And I think oh good okay I got it in there I'm going to get ready to go do the bet Boom a ding comes on my phone And it's a chase fraud alert

01:08:01 - 01:08:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh no way

01:08:03 - 01:08:22 | Speaker 2:

And it alerts me and it alerts Chelsea Who I'm at home at the time When I'm doing this thing She gets the alert on her phone at the same time So she comes running She pressed no that I did not Make that purchase because on my app It right away shows that it was declined, so it didn't come through.

01:08:22 - 01:08:26 | Speaker 3:

There's only one thing to do. You only have like four or five seconds to think about what you're going to do,

01:08:26 - 01:08:34 | Speaker 2:

and that is to say, gotcha, I want to see your face. I got you. I wanted to see how fast you would run into this room to get me.

01:08:34 - 01:08:36 | Speaker 3:

What did you win, by the way? I'm so curious.

01:08:36 - 01:08:56 | Speaker 2:

So the Eagles are favored by like a point or so. Yeah. So you'll win less than $1,000, but just a little less than $1,000. So basically, I put $1,000 down. and I'll win $900 and some odd dollars, like $900, yeah. So, I mean, that's a big amount of money, right? That's a payday, and the Eagles are going to win.

01:08:57 - 01:08:57 | Speaker 3:

Yes, they are.

01:08:57 - 01:09:04 | Speaker 2:

So, we know that that's going to happen. I didn't make the bet. So, Chelsea, this is a compromise that we had.

01:09:04 - 01:09:11 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you never placed the bet? No. Oh, good. I'm glad, because now that means they're going to win, and you're going to regret it, and I'm going to love it.

01:09:11 - 01:10:16 | Speaker 2:

The compromise that we had was that I would bet no more than a couple hundred dollars and I would do with Luke as a father-son type thing, which is actually kind of interesting because I will say this to you. Luke has been very interested in gambling. And these apps are big money for the app companies. But you know who wants to bet the most? Teenagers want to bet the most. They're not allowed to, but they want to bet the most. And I have heard crazy stories about teenagers that are trying to make bets or trying to pose as their parents on apps to try to make bets. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. What was the purchase you were trying to keep from your spouse, and how did you get busted? I got busted with this stupid thing. Now I have just a couple of hundred dollars that I can use to do a bet on which song Rihanna is going to sing first. Megan, you say it's not going to be Don't Stop the Music. Spike says it's going to be something slow. Mike, what did you say it was going to be?

01:10:16 - 01:10:18 | Speaker 1:

I think it's Don't Stop the Music.

01:10:18 - 01:10:24 | Speaker 2:

Don't Stop the Music. I say Run This Town. Run This Town by Shannon. She will not even play Ponder Replay.

01:10:25 - 01:10:27 | Speaker 4:

I'll place that bet with you.

01:10:27 - 01:10:32 | Speaker 2:

I say it's the monster. We'll go with them. I'll pick that one out there. What's going on, Jen?

01:10:33 - 01:10:34 | Speaker 8:

Hi, guys. How you doing?

01:10:35 - 01:10:37 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's happening? Did you get busted making a purchase?

01:10:39 - 01:11:10 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. I order those Color Street mail strips. Yeah. And I would order them, and my husband never checks the mail, so I would just get the mail and bring them in, and he didn't know how many I had. And then he checked the mail one day, and so I got busted. He's like, there's a package here from Color Street. I'm like, oh, really? Okay. What could that be? I know what that's good. Shannon was really good at that. He's like, you have a problem, don't you? And I go, I do have a problem.

01:11:12 - 01:11:14 | Speaker 2:

I did get really good at that. Oh, they must have sent me that.

01:11:15 - 01:11:24 | Speaker 7:

That was so nice. Well, then I had a free set coming to me still, and so I had to show him, like, look, this one is free. I didn't order it.

01:11:24 - 01:11:41 | Speaker 2:

I love the listeners that are texting and telling me how I can get a bar. I'm doing this, that I need to start my own PayPal account. Everybody telling me how to cheat the system of my wife finding out that I'm betting on my app. What's going on? How are you doing, Will?

01:11:43 - 01:11:43 | Speaker 9:

Hey, how's it going?

01:11:44 - 01:11:49 | Speaker 2:

What's happening? We're talking about your significant other catching you with a purchase.

01:11:50 - 01:11:51 | Speaker 9:

Yeah, I bought it.

01:11:52 - 01:11:57 | Speaker 2:

Say that again. I know you cut out right at the time. You bought a, say that again, Will, what did you buy?

01:11:58 - 01:12:00 | Speaker 9:

An engagement ring. Oh, Lord.

01:12:00 - 01:12:02 | Speaker 2:

An engagement ring, is that what you're saying?

01:12:03 - 01:12:03 | Speaker 9:

Yeah.

01:12:04 - 01:12:05 | Speaker 2:

You bought an engagement ring.

01:12:06 - 01:12:16 | Speaker 9:

Yep, so I bought an engagement ring with my credit card, and I forgot that she was on my credit card. No. She has one hooked onto the account.

01:12:16 - 01:12:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:12:17 - 01:12:21 | Speaker 9:

And she got the notification through the credit card app.

01:12:21 - 01:12:22 | Speaker 3:

No.

01:12:23 - 01:12:36 | Speaker 9:

I paid jewelers for, you know, it was a significant amount, and I had to explain that. Oh, no. No, you are so dumb. No, come on. Oh, what a bummer.

01:12:37 - 01:12:38 | Speaker 1:

You can't say that's not for you.

01:12:39 - 01:12:44 | Speaker 9:

But, you know, it worked out. It worked out. She said yes, so that's all that matters, right? Yeah, that's good.

01:12:44 - 01:12:50 | Speaker 2:

By the way, that's your engagement. The credit card company gave it to you. What's up, Joe?

01:12:51 - 01:13:06 | Speaker 5:

Hey, how you guys doing? My wife almost caught me putting $100 down on the Super Bowl for nobody scoring a touchdown, which is very, very unlikely. However, the payout is $18,000. Wow.

01:13:07 - 01:13:10 | Speaker 4:

Wow. When is the last time that has happened?

01:13:12 - 01:13:30 | Speaker 5:

I don't. I remember when Tom Brady and Mahomes played in the Kansas City and didn't score a touchdown. Obviously, Tom Brady did. But I don't think it's ever happened. It's very unlikely. If I lose $100, I lose $100. But if I win $18,000. Yeah, it's fun.

01:13:30 - 01:13:33 | Speaker 2:

Will you share it with her? Or will you say it?

01:13:33 - 01:13:34 | Speaker 4:

Well, I'll pay for the divorce attorney.

01:13:35 - 01:13:39 | Speaker 5:

There you go. I might throw a couple bucks for sure.

01:13:39 - 01:13:42 | Speaker 2:

Those are my favorite bets right there.

01:13:42 - 01:13:48 | Speaker 1:

Only one team has failed to get a touchdown in a game, but no title game has ever not had touchdowns for me.

01:13:48 - 01:14:00 | Speaker 2:

Amazing. Is this Aria? a raya a raya i apologize that's much prettier what's going on um so my fiance and i had just

01:14:00 - 01:14:21 | Speaker 6:

moved into a um new house and we're young so we didn't really have anything and while while i was at work he decided to go out and buy a flat screen tv and when i walked in i was very surprised because i was not expecting it and it wasn't like a little flat screen tv it was a 75 inch

01:14:21 - 01:14:25 | Speaker 2:

How was he going to hide that

01:14:25 - 01:14:37 | Speaker 6:

Well he came in and he was setting it up With his dad and he turned around so quick Like his eyes were all wide And everything I think he was expecting me to set it up And me come home and be like Okay yeah we needed it

01:14:37 - 01:14:41 | Speaker 2:

Did you say put it back in the box That's going back

01:14:41 - 01:14:50 | Speaker 6:

I was like well there's nothing I can do now Because it's already out And he was like It was a hell of a time getting it up on the wall

01:14:50 - 01:14:58 | Speaker 4:

Plus, if you buy it close enough to the big game, you're not even allowed to return it. Like, they have policies on returning TVs around the Super Bowl.

01:14:58 - 01:15:04 | Speaker 2:

You know what you need to do instead of... of letting him watch the super bowl you should like watch you know uh i don't know binge watch

01:15:04 - 01:15:09 | Speaker 4:

uh what's that bridgerton or something he's going downstairs and sitting on the couch where there's

01:15:09 - 01:15:40 | Speaker 2:

01:21:48 - 01:21:53 | Speaker 2:

When's the last time they Or have you ever? Have you guys ever been in the Lover's Lane before?

01:21:53 - 01:21:55 | Speaker 3:

They're going to ask, when's the last time I did me?

01:21:56 - 01:21:58 | Speaker 1:

That's what I thought, too. I was like, ugh.

01:21:58 - 01:22:51 | Speaker 2:

Because my Lover's Lane date with Chelsea was still one of my favorite dates we ever had. We went out. And actually, we dropped. This is the greatest. We dropped Luke off. So this was a few years back before he had a driver's license. We dropped him off at Zap Zone. and there was a lover's lane next door to zap zone that we went to in waterford and we decided that we were going to walk around lover's lane together did you buy any let me say this to you if you think that you're a couple that fights when you go to the grocery store together you should see how much loving we were on like we we were well we were walking through because you know listen we got that she's got thing whatever i don't talk about that all right That's one part that I will not talk about because I don't ever want her to feel bad with that. But we're going down the aisles, and I am giggling the whole time. I'm like that guy. That boy.

01:22:51 - 01:22:54 | Speaker 3:

That boy. Yes, at that point, you were a 12-year-old mojo.

01:22:54 - 01:23:40 | Speaker 2:

I'm going through because I can't believe that I'm in there with her. Because I've been into Lover's Lane without her, you know what I mean? But it was fun to do it as couples to kind of go through together. And if you have kids in your car and you're driving them to school, Lover's Lane is a therapy office, guys, where mommy and daddy go for therapy. Yeah, and Lover's Lane has a zap zone, too, so it's right next to it. Actually, the kids got to know where it is. The zap zone is right next door. Tell me that's not an amazing landlord. What a great idea for whoever the Lover's Lane person was that decided that they were picking that location because they picked it knowing that the parents are leaving their kids there and they're going to come right next door. 69th caller, Carissa, winner. Congratulations.

01:23:41 - 01:23:44 | Speaker 1:

01:24:09 - 01:24:11 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. It said it was love music.

01:24:11 - 01:24:11 | Speaker 3:

01:24:12 - 01:24:13 | Speaker 1:

Oh, God.

01:24:15 - 01:24:16 | Speaker 2:

Is it not very loving?

01:24:17 - 01:24:23 | Speaker 1:

01:24:48 - 01:24:56 | Speaker 3:

Let's file that music away I hope I would That music sounds like that guy playing violin outside Kroger in the parking lot That's trying to get tips

01:24:56 - 01:25:29 | Speaker 2:

The guy not playing, right? The guy not playing In the Legorian Thank you.

01:25:00 - 01:25:54 | Speaker 1:

All right, Mojo in the Morning Show. We do have to mention this, that one of our favorite people in the entire world is retiring from our radio station, and it's kind of an interesting thing because she's retiring, but she's not retiring. I have no idea how you can get away with this, but she got away with it. Susan Schramm, who is one of the people that works behind the scenes scheduling all of our client commercials and stuff that we do on our stations, She has been with the radio station for, gosh, I don't know, 12-some years, but has been in radio for a long time. She used to work at WJR back in the day. I mean, she's like the best of the best, but we want to wish Susan nothing but the best in your non-retirement. Because listen to what she's doing. She's retiring from radio, but she's then coming back to work part-time for us.

01:25:54 - 01:25:56 | Speaker 3:

She's making her own rules and making her own hours.

01:25:56 - 01:26:08 | Speaker 1:

I'm like, how did you do that thing? I mean, I actually tried yesterday during her party to pull a, can I just do weekends? Like, can I be on Saturdays and Sundays? Sleep in during the week or something like that?

01:26:08 - 01:26:11 | Speaker 2:

She's taking a solo trip before she comes back. Do you know that?

01:26:11 - 01:26:14 | Speaker 1:

And she's going to a very nice place.

01:26:14 - 01:26:21 | Speaker 2:

She was asking me about Paris. Paris is one of the places. I just love that from her. That that's what she's doing to kind of celebrate.

01:26:21 - 01:27:45 | Speaker 3:

She's a sweetheart. She's big into travel. and we've we've chat a lot in the halls about travel because you guys know how I am I love to explore the world and so when I got the message a few weeks ago saying she's retiring we're throwing a little party Wednesday and we're also doing this team's chat if you want to join her so I said absolutely well then last Wednesday I signed in to join her for the party and I couldn't it wasn't letting me join the party I kept saying you know I was the only one in the room and I could see everybody on the side but it wasn't letting me see what they were saying in the room i was getting so frustrated so i just said forget it i'll just message her so i went on her facebook sent her little wishes congratulations i'm so excited about your retirement i was really bombed i couldn't get into your party to send good wishes and i sent her a little picture of me all by myself in the party like it won't let me chat with you well now i realize why yesterday when mojo said hey are you going to be at susan's party today or you're going off to your doctor's appointment i said what do you mean i i didn't realize they moved the the meeting twice i didn't see any other emails or anything so i was all by myself in there and i was telling her i i tried to wish you well but you didn't have a party well i didn't realize the party had changed and it was yesterday so i missed her party twice and uh my god completely didn't know it was rescheduled and so i felt stupid and then i thought thank god it wasn't a surprise because i would have totally ruined that surprise

01:27:45 - 01:27:50 | Speaker 1:

Did she, like, did she realize, though, that you kind of messed up like that?

01:27:50 - 01:28:19 | Speaker 3:

She saw it, and she thought I was being silly and trying to, like, scam her on Facebook. Like, so I should have played it off and said, yeah, I was just being silly instead of, no, I'm stupid. Didn't realize. Party was moved. How long were you in? 20 minutes. I sat in that Microsoft Teams waiting for everybody else to join. And then you can see everybody's names on the side, so I thought, this is going on without me. For some reason it's not letting me in the room Maybe there's a moderator By the way

01:28:19 - 01:28:25 | Speaker 2:

Why are we still doing teams meetings Come on Either you can be here or you can't

01:28:25 - 01:28:31 | Speaker 1:

I think it's honestly Shannon I think it's just our invitation system that we have now Because I'm like what

01:28:31 - 01:28:33 | Speaker 2:

That is so weird

01:28:33 - 01:28:34 | Speaker 3:

We're all in the office

01:28:34 - 01:28:35 | Speaker 2:

It's confusing

01:28:35 - 01:29:11 | Speaker 3:

I found out it was changed like two or three times Like they were going to do a teams meeting with her And she said really I want to see everybody's faces one last time i'm retiring from the building yes and and the bosses were like you're right you should we should have it in person to celebrate so they moved it and they were going to have it across the street at tabbouleh yeah and then that got changed again and then they said let's just have it in the office so the most people are here well i didn't know i guess i wasn't a part of that or i didn't even see all those emails i got to go back and check but i only got the first email and So I was in the Teams all the time.

01:29:11 - 01:29:20 | Speaker 2:

Like we meet for meetings in person. And so that's when I got the Zoom invite or the Teams invite, whatever. I was like, what are we doing this for a party?

01:29:20 - 01:29:33 | Speaker 3:

Well, they still do the Teams meetings. For all the meetings, they still do it for people that don't want to come in. And so sometimes I see the link and I think it's a Teams meeting. And then I walk out in the hall and everybody's out in the meeting. I'm like, oh, this is in person. Oh, I'm right here. I could be in the meeting.

01:29:33 - 01:29:35 | Speaker 2:

Everybody's texting. You can just blame it on your concussion.

01:29:36 - 01:29:40 | Speaker 3:

That's it. I wish I could, but this happened Wednesday a week ago.

01:29:41 - 01:29:50 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you how awesome Colleen, our boss, was? Both you guys, I had to miss the party, so KP and Lydia and myself were there.

01:29:50 - 01:29:51 | Speaker 2:

I was there for a few minutes, but yeah.

01:29:51 - 01:29:53 | Speaker 1:

Did you see what she gave her?

01:29:53 - 01:29:53 | Speaker 2:

No.

01:29:54 - 01:30:26 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. At the end, first off, we all went around the room and talked about her. And... You know, Susan, it's funny, she sits there. Whenever you're talking about, you know, somebody to them, you're like going, is this like my funeral? Or what is this? But she's kind of looked so awkward at the point, but she was shocked that people were, you know, were doing this. Then Colleen, who's like the greatest boss in the world, comes out and said, here's the gifts. And she gave her a bunch of gifts, including two round-trip tickets to fly anywhere she wants to. No way. On Delta Airlines.

01:30:26 - 01:30:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's amazing. Oh, my gosh, that's awesome.

01:30:28 - 01:30:36 | Speaker 1:

So Susan and I are going to Paris together. Chelsea said she's fine with it. That is an incredible gift. Isn't that amazing?

01:30:36 - 01:30:39 | Speaker 4:

What if she came back in a month and was like, just kidding, I'm full-time still.

01:30:39 - 01:30:44 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's the thing. She got that, yet she's still working here. Yeah. Like, she's still working with us.

01:30:44 - 01:30:48 | Speaker 4:

I'd like to also, like you said, let's all say we're going to work less.

01:30:48 - 01:30:59 | Speaker 1:

By the way, we have just turned in our letter of resignation. The Mojo in the Morning Show is retiring, Colleen. We would like round-trip airfare. We'll actually pick the play. If you want, Rondre Bariver to Chicago, I'll take it.

01:31:00 - 01:31:18 | Speaker 4:

I won't ask you for very much. I did chat with Susan yesterday, because she's always been my Wolverine buddy that will talk after Michigan games, and she's a big fan, too, and we'll just sit there and talk about that stuff. And I was like, who am I going to talk with now? And she's like, what you just said. She goes, I'm not dying. I'm still going to be here. You can still talk to me. I was like, oh, yeah, I guess so.

01:31:18 - 01:32:40 | Speaker 1:

I think that sometimes people, and maybe even some of the newer members of the show, don't even realize what some people do. but her job is honestly more important than even our job like it's so essential because without her we don't have money to turn the lights on in this building so she does such an essential job and sometimes I sit there and wonder I actually had a general manager years ago that I worked for that you know how some people got like get really nice offices because they're like executives and some people get you know cubicles because they're us you know she gave the big offices and the nice offices to the people like susan because to her she said those are the people that are even more essential than her because if susan doesn't get the job done right then we don't make any money and i thought that was like one of the coolest things ever so it's like you'd walk into the the radio station you see this big executive office and it would be like the person that was like the receptionist, you know, or something like that. I love that. But you're the first line of defense. So congratulations, Sujan Schramm. I'll be seeing you on Delta Airlines. All right, it is the Mojo in the Morning Show. So Mike, KP, our producer, was telling me a story that you shared with her about how your babysitter had to Venmo you money.

01:32:41 - 01:34:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yesterday I had a procedure I had to get done in my mouth. So we got a different babysitter yesterday for a couple hours. And earlier, I got to give you the background on this. Earlier, my son, he is a big fan of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Like, that's all we can get him to eat. There's no other meal that we can get this kid to eat. Otherwise, he just snacks all day. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is it. He'll eat four bowls in one sitting. It's the biggest thing right now. And we didn't have milk yesterday morning. And so Allie's getting him ready to go to school. And he's freaking out because he can't have a bowl of cereal. And she's like, I don't have anything to put in it. What do you want me to put in it? and he said water and she's like i'm not putting water in cereal and he flipped out again so he's three years old he flipped out again she's like fine fine i'll put i'll put water in it so she puts water in it and the kid eats it and loves it yeah yeah right right exactly it was disgusting so later that day i got to bring him to the babysitter and i get a random venmo from this person and it's like 20 30 bucks i don't remember exactly how much it was and it just says there's just a little smiley face in the comments. And so I text them. I'm like, what is the Venmo for? I was like, I owe you money for this. They're like, get your kids some milk. And I'm like, what are you talking about? She thought that I was so broke that we just don't have milk to give our kids. Oh, my gosh. Because he was at her place begging for water in his cereal.

01:34:11 - 01:34:12 | Speaker 4:

You're the worst.

01:34:12 - 01:34:14 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Mike

01:34:14 - 01:34:22 | Speaker 1:

Mike, this is your chance right now Go fund me for milk for Milo

01:34:22 - 01:34:26 | Speaker 4:

Give me that milk for Milo Hashtag milk for Milo

01:34:26 - 01:34:32 | Speaker 2:

Give me that love music that you just had a second ago I'll do it over that You want it over that? Okay We have

01:34:32 - 01:34:36 | Speaker 1:

What a sweet girl though Oh, I'd be so embarrassed

01:34:36 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 3:

I was incredibly embarrassed I'm like, I tried to laugh it off Like, no, he just really likes it She goes, right, right. He won't drink the milk. So it was you for just a mere two dollars a day could give my tiny little nugget of a son three years old.

01:35:00 - 01:35:32 | Speaker 5:

He will not eat anything but Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Anything. And you say to yourself, well, then give him some Cinnamon Toast Crunch in a cup or something. Let him eat that if he don't have milk. Well, to you, friend, I say I tried. He threw the cup and said milk. I don't have milk. I don't have milk, Milo, I said. So hashtag milk for Milo is a chance for you to give this little menace of a son.

01:35:33 - 01:35:54 | Speaker 6:

You know what's amazing is that we have had, you know, we have great cereals at home, but we never have milk or even like Chelsea's almond milks and stuff like that in the house. So I can't do water with it. Like, I just can't do it. I'd rather eat it dry. So I will either eat it dry or I hope that she has like yogurt or something that I can mix in with it. And I don't even like that

01:35:54 - 01:35:56 | Speaker 1:

I can't even do that I want cold, cold milk

01:35:56 - 01:36:04 | Speaker 6:

But it's interesting how many people will put different things Besides even milk in their cereal What's up, Brandon? How you doing?

01:36:05 - 01:36:43 | Speaker 2:

Morning, everybody Hi Had kind of a funny situation Kind of like Mike's Wife and I walked the dog down to Rite Aid Grab a couple items And I was sitting outside waiting for her with the dog And a gentleman came up and handed me a dollar Thinking I was homeless Because of the way you were dressed I'm a pretty rough guy Oh my gosh Oh my gosh Got in his car afterwards He was kind of on the phone I was like hey man I'm not homeless I'm just waiting for my wife Oh that is so great

01:36:43 - 01:36:54 | Speaker 6:

Brandon you need to do us a favor Will you just send us a picture of you Because I just want to see what you look like Same number? Yeah, 95500, you can text it to us.

01:36:54 - 01:36:57 | Speaker 3:

Or send it to us on Instagram, at Mojo in the Morn.

01:36:57 - 01:37:03 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, and just share it. All right, thank you, buddy. That's great. Brandon, Jasmine, what's going on?

01:37:04 - 01:37:11 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I don't see the problem with the water on the cereal. You just want your cereal to be, like, wet. Like, you don't care what it is.

01:37:11 - 01:37:12 | Speaker 6:

Just make it soggy, you're saying.

01:37:13 - 01:37:28 | Speaker 4:

Chew it. Yeah, yeah. I used the water on my cereal before, like, all of the milk alternatives got popular, and, like, it was hard to find, you know, like, almond milk. I used to use rice milk, but I'd do water if I needed to. People at work would be like, that's so gross. And it's like, you just want it wet.

01:37:28 - 01:37:32 | Speaker 1:

Somebody said that they put liquid egg whites in their cereal. Oh, that's gross.

01:37:34 - 01:37:35 | Speaker 6:

I hate the egg whites.

01:37:35 - 01:37:42 | Speaker 3:

Cereal killer behavior. It sounds like somebody who's trying to get their protein in for the day and they can't pour anything else but eggs.

01:37:42 - 01:37:45 | Speaker 6:

Well, I know people that put protein shakes in their milk for that same reason.

01:37:45 - 01:37:46 | Speaker 3:

I do that, actually.

01:37:46 - 01:37:48 | Speaker 6:

Yeah? What was it, Mike?

01:37:48 - 01:37:54 | Speaker 5:

What cereal would you put liquid eggs on? Anything. What would it even taste good on?

01:37:54 - 01:37:56 | Speaker 1:

But it's raw eggs. I know.

01:37:57 - 01:37:58 | Speaker 6:

Jill, what's up?

01:37:59 - 01:38:10 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. I said this was giving me vibes of when Megan was talking about the gordita or the chalupa, whatever, from Taco Bell, and people cashed after money for it. That's true.

01:38:11 - 01:38:11 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:38:11 - 01:38:14 | Speaker 3:

You can still cash at me or Venmo me. I'm just saying.

01:38:16 - 01:38:17 | Speaker 6:

What's up, Robin?

01:38:18 - 01:38:25 | Speaker 3:

Hey, so my brother, he got married, and the next day after the wedding, they decided Wheaties and beer were a good combo.

01:38:26 - 01:38:31 | Speaker 6:

Wheaties and beer. That sounds like a frat house right there.

01:38:32 - 01:38:32 | Speaker 3:

Right?

01:38:33 - 01:38:57 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. That is not the breakfast of champions. I will say this, though. I wonder how good Cinnamon Toast Crunch would be with rum chata. Oh, that would be amazing. Or Bailey's or something like that. Don't give it to Milo, though. Well, rum chow already has the taste of milk from Cinnamon Toast Crunch. That's what I'm saying. I bet you it would be actually pretty delicious. So try that out. Basically, it would be the same. You're just an alcoholic.

01:38:59 - 01:39:01 | Speaker 1:

That's why we're all like, yeah, it would be great.

01:39:04 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the morning show. So yesterday I came home from work, and I'm pulling into my neighborhood, and there's this really cute family that lives down the street. I think I might have mentioned them before. They're new to the neighborhood. They moved from Seattle. and they're like the cutest family. It's this husband and wife, and they have these three daughters that all have, like, curly hair, and the mom homeschools them. And she probably gets annoyed by me because every time I see them, I always ask them, so is this physical education class, or is this, like, recess? All the dad jokes. They're all, like, walking. Well, then that's the thing. They're, like, you know, they're doing the homeschooling. Because I find it interesting that she actually likes her kids that much and doesn't want to send them off to somewhere. You know what I mean? Like, I could not imagine homeschooling my kids. So long story short, I got caught up in a conversation, and she said, the girls want to know, and wait till you hear.

01:40:00 - 01:40:12 | Speaker 2:

hear what I had to do yesterday, Spike, because you're going to be making fun of me on this one. The girls want to know if your dogs, Louie and Henry, would like to come to our dog Benito's one-year birthday party.

01:40:13 - 01:40:14 | Speaker 3:

Oh, hell yeah.

01:40:15 - 01:41:09 | Speaker 2:

And the daughter, their daughters, their kids are so cute, and they're looking at you with puppy eyes the whole time. Did you go over to the party? I said, hell no. You think I would go to a frickin'? No, I'm just kidding. I went to a party. I went to the party So they actually Did you bring your doggies to the dog park Henry and Louis went to a Okay this is so cute Did you bring a gift No I didn't have any time to do it I should have brought like a bully stick or something I don't know because we have those at the house Or like treats But they even had this is the wildest thing They had pup cups which were Or pup cakes Which were cupcakes but puppy cakes And they made them themselves They actually made themselves They were like made of And I wanted to try it But they were made of like pumpkin And something like that And then they had a doggy treat on top That was in the shape of a heart It was like the cutest thing ever

01:41:09 - 01:41:15 | Speaker 4:

There's some listeners screaming at their radio right now Because Mojo has a 20 year history Of making fun of people who throw birthday parties for their pets

01:41:15 - 01:41:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh my god, I cannot believe First off, I only did it because of the kids Because as I'm pulling away I could hear the one daughter say Is that Mojo? Because I think that they're kind of like new to the area and stuff like that and I try to just be Tom you know and Chelsea and Luke and Joe and Jacob and stuff so I'm like oh god how do you know usually parents only know or kids only know of us when their parents are driving them to school if they're homeschooled what's going on how do they know about this how are they listening to this radio show

01:41:48 - 01:41:49 | Speaker 3:

how many doggies were in attendance at this party

01:41:49 - 01:42:06 | Speaker 2:

there was a total of three so it was just your dogs and Benito they had a bigger celebration for Benito last week on Saturday, and it was, like, cold and crazy. So they decided that Benito, which, by the way, what a great name, isn't it? Benito.

01:42:06 - 01:42:07 | Speaker 3:

Is it named after the pizza place? Benito's Pizza?

01:42:08 - 01:42:14 | Speaker 2:

They're Italian, so I think that they're all the kids and everybody's all got their fancy names.

01:42:14 - 01:42:15 | Speaker 4:

They had two parties for the dog?

01:42:17 - 01:42:21 | Speaker 2:

Spike, I told you. If you would have saw me, like, with this thing,

01:42:21 - 01:42:23 | Speaker 4:

Did you wheel your dogs over in your doggy stroller?

01:42:24 - 01:42:25 | Speaker 3:

They don't have it anymore, remember.

01:42:25 - 01:43:01 | Speaker 2:

First off, let me say this to you. This was actually something that I read about how people treat their pets. It says that Gen Z, I read this this morning, Gen Z says their pet is their best friend. Not that their pet is like their best friend. Their pet is their best friend. Would you consider your pet to be your best friend? I love my Charlie, but no. No offense, but I think I got other people that I can consider them to be best friends.

01:43:01 - 01:43:05 | Speaker 3:

Although I will say, I took Charlie to the vet yesterday. He had to get some of his, like, shots.

01:43:05 - 01:43:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:43:06 - 01:43:07 | Speaker 3:

I literally cry.

01:43:07 - 01:43:08 | Speaker 4:

Did you?

01:43:08 - 01:43:10 | Speaker 3:

Like, I cry when the kids get shots. I do.

01:43:10 - 01:43:12 | Speaker 4:

Well, pets give you that unconditional love. Oh, my God.

01:43:12 - 01:43:16 | Speaker 3:

It broke my heart. He was just shaking on the little table as they were trying to give him his shots.

01:43:16 - 01:43:20 | Speaker 4:

But I need a best friend who's going to pay my bail and drive to the airport.

01:43:21 - 01:43:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I mean, your dog will greet you at the door with a smile, but I don't know about that. I should actually pull that full stat out because I want to know if there's anybody out there that actually believes that their dog is their best friend. What's going on, Hannah?

01:43:35 - 01:43:55 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Hi. So I actually just wanted to tell you that I threw my dog a first birthday party, and he had dog cupcakes and everything. He had his friends over. We actually had a photo booth, and my mom made human cupcakes that looked like dogs.

01:43:55 - 01:44:10 | Speaker 4:

Hannah, you know who this is not nice? You're not being really nice to Mike right now because we won't throw him a birthday party here. Son of a bitch. He's feeling really bad as he hears your dog got all that. Can't even get a happy birthday text.

01:44:10 - 01:44:13 | Speaker 1:

He got gifts and everything, so.

01:44:14 - 01:44:18 | Speaker 2:

Actually, Cheryl says that she relates to Mike on this one. What's up, Cheryl?

01:44:19 - 01:44:25 | Speaker 1:

hi i um i can't even get one birthday party and the dog can get two birthday

01:44:25 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 2:

well you're no benito i'm going to tell you that listen to this all right so this is this is a survey of a thousand u.s pet owners um and they said the gen z 34 of gen zers that's people born between 97 and 2012 actually think that their pet or their dog is their best friend they call their pet their best friend um and they say that it's even to the point that they share their deepest darkest secrets with their best friend they also

01:45:00 - 01:45:16 | Speaker 7:

also spend the most money on their pet compared to anybody else that is in their relationship circles and they say that their pet is always there for them when they are sad and always there for them when they are happy that's true i do i do talk to my dog like he's a person do

01:45:16 - 01:45:37 | Speaker 6:

you do that to your dogs no okay they're dogs i spend more money on my dogs than anything dogs dog uh than anything in the world and i still am not even liked by my i'm my dog's Thor's favorite person. Kidding. So I want my dog to be my best friend, and my dog has decided otherwise.

01:45:39 - 01:45:41 | Speaker 7:

Haley, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:45:42 - 01:46:16 | Speaker 4:

Hi. I consider my dog one of my best friends. I go to a community college, and I just live at home with my family, and my dog is, I love taking him on walks. He always makes me happy, and I love him. I'm a nanny, and the people I'm nanny for know that, like, my dog is spoiled. I went to Dee's Knees in downtown Norfolk, and my dog's scared of bulls for some reason. So I painted him a plate, and it says his name on it, but he's amazing.

01:46:16 - 01:46:17 | Speaker 1:

That's sweet.

01:46:17 - 01:46:18 | Speaker 4:

He's spoiled.

01:46:18 - 01:46:20 | Speaker 7:

Yes. Thank you for being with me.

01:46:20 - 01:46:21 | Speaker 4:

But I wouldn't throw him a birthday party.

01:46:21 - 01:46:25 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, that's where you draw the line. Paige, what's going on?

01:46:26 - 01:46:42 | Speaker 3:

Hey there, Mojo. I have family that have little Boston Terriers, and for their six-month birthdays, they buy them little party hats and go to the bakery and get them those custom cookies made and actually celebrate it. It's just like their child.

01:46:43 - 01:46:49 | Speaker 7:

That's nice. People spending lots of money. Lots of money on their pets.

01:46:49 - 01:46:50 | Speaker 2:

Six-month birthdays are important.

01:46:50 - 01:47:02 | Speaker 7:

I'm telling you, that's the business to be into right now. If you are a person that deals with anything pet-related or can come up with a concept, people will spend on their pets. What's going on, Melissa?

01:47:03 - 01:47:31 | Speaker 2:

I didn't have a first birthday party for my dog. I had a last birthday party. He was our baby. He was 17 last year in May, and it was his birthday. And so we invited all our friends over that had dogs, and we just had a barbecue in the backyard. and he got a hot dog and then the next month we had to put him down. Oh my God, okay, this breaks my heart. How did you get his mom? Honestly, it was great. I have pictures of him with all our friends.

01:47:32 - 01:47:34 | Speaker 3:

What kind of dog was it? You said he lived until he was 17?

01:47:35 - 01:47:36 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Australian Shepherd.

01:47:37 - 01:47:37 | Speaker 7:

Wow.

01:47:37 - 01:47:39 | Speaker 2:

Charger, he was wonderful.

01:47:39 - 01:47:44 | Speaker 7:

Here I am trying to poke fun and have fun with this and now your call is so serious I feel bad. I'm sorry.

01:47:44 - 01:47:45 | Speaker 2:

Killed the mood, right?

01:47:45 - 01:47:49 | Speaker 7:

Yes, thank you. Screeching halt right now. He got a hot dog.

01:47:49 - 01:47:50 | Speaker 2:

He got a hot dog.

01:47:50 - 01:47:53 | Speaker 7:

Yes. Oh, yes. We can celebrate that.

01:47:53 - 01:47:54 | Speaker 2:

I didn't even get a hot dog.

01:47:56 - 01:47:58 | Speaker 7:

Poor Mike. We're going to get you a package of hot dogs.

01:47:58 - 01:47:59 | Speaker 2:

I don't want hot dogs.

01:47:59 - 01:48:02 | Speaker 7:

Shauna. Yes. Hi.

01:48:03 - 01:48:21 | Speaker 5:

So I was invited to a doggy wedding. Oh. And my dog's like my freeloading best friend that can't get a job. So of course I was bringing my puppy. And my brother was the priest. I don't know how he didn't catch on fire when he stepped under that altar, but the dogs walked down the aisle.

01:48:22 - 01:48:23 | Speaker 3:

Okay, I love this.

01:48:23 - 01:48:30 | Speaker 5:

Please invite me to your doggy wedding. The adult snacks were all shaped like doggy treats, and the doggy snacks were shaped like adults.

01:48:31 - 01:48:32 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my Lord. I want to come.

01:48:33 - 01:48:35 | Speaker 6:

Wait, where do you live? Because I need to be friends with these people.

01:48:38 - 01:48:43 | Speaker 7:

Did you shape them differently so that nobody mistook and ate the wrong one?

01:48:44 - 01:48:54 | Speaker 5:

Oh, there was a few mistakes, yes. They didn't have anything labeled. We kind of found out on our own when we were sneaking snacks.

01:48:54 - 01:48:55 | Speaker 7:

That's nice.

01:48:55 - 01:48:59 | Speaker 5:

But every animal was dressed up. They had, like, little tuxedos on.

01:49:00 - 01:49:06 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. Shauna, are you in a relationship at all?

01:49:07 - 01:49:09 | Speaker 5:

I'm in a situationship.

01:49:09 - 01:49:10 | Speaker 7:

Oh, okay.

01:49:11 - 01:49:11 | Speaker 5:

So the War of the Roses busted a cheater, a husband cheating and we had a new approach that we did during the War of the Roses, it's podcast for you, so you can check it out on our podcast or listen in 25 minutes. We'll have that for you at 9. Right now, traffic... I'm sorry. No. What is it? What is this?

01:51:12 - 01:51:13 | Speaker 1:

The dirty. It's the dirty.

01:51:14 - 01:51:20 | Speaker 3:

Imagine someone just turning their radio on at that exact moment where you're growling at a listener.

01:51:20 - 01:53:09 | Speaker 1:

NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin has been pulled from both the NFL Network and ESPN Super Bowl coverage for the remainder of the week after a complaint from a woman about alleged misconduct during a recent interaction between the two of them in Arizona. So Irvin claims that this February 5th interaction, so very recent, took place after he had dinner and drinks with former Dallas Cowboys safety Michael Brooks. And he said when he got back to his hotel, the conversation was sparked up between this woman and himself. He said the encounter was brief, it was out in public, and it was not physical at all. He said he's just baffled by this because he said, when I got back after going out, I came into the lobby and I talked to somebody. I talked to this girl. I don't know her. I talked to her for about 45 seconds. We shook hands, then I left. That's all I know. And that's all anybody knows about this situation at this point. But regardless, I'm not going to see him for the rest of the week on any of his gigs. In the wake of announcing that he is cutting 7,000 jobs, Disney CEO Bob Iger announcing two new sequels to massive franchises that are in development, Toy Story and Frozen. He also announced a sequel to Zootopia. And he also made the announcement that an Avatar experience will be coming to Disneyland in California. So, bad news followed by good news. It also looks like Tim Allen will be back as Buzz Lightyear if I should say when this fifth Toy Story movie happens. He shared a photo of Buzz on his social media with the caption, see you soon, Woody. And then I saw Josh Gad, who voices Olaf in the Frozen movies, wrote on his social media back into the unknown hashtag Frozen 3.

01:53:09 - 01:53:10 | Speaker 2:

I got a question for him.

01:53:10 - 01:53:37 | Speaker 1:

When is he going to make those vacations affordable? That's the real question. Stop giving me the fifth sequel and give me a park that I can actually go to. Yeah. The cruise I'm hearing is really expensive, too. I was talking to a friend of mine last night, and he said that he was trying to price out a cruise for himself, his wife, and his daughter. And for four days, it was almost $9,000 to go on a Disney cruise. Holy cow.

01:53:37 - 01:53:42 | Speaker 4:

A lot of the cruise lines have lowered their prices drastically because they hadn't had people on them in a while.

01:53:42 - 01:53:56 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Evangeline Lilly said she is amazed by how incredibly brave Jeremy Renner is following his near-death experience with that snowcat. She visited her The Hurt Locker co-star recently.

01:53:56 - 01:54:21 | Speaker 2:

I was just at Jeremy's house the other night, how incredibly brave and strong he is. I walked in his house and got chicken skin because I was like, why are you mobile? Why are you mobile? And he was in a wheelchair. I expected to sit at his bedside and hold his hand while he moaned and groaned in pain and wasn't able to move. He was wheeling himself around, laughing with his friends. It's a miracle. It's a straight-up miracle.

01:54:22 - 01:55:00 | Speaker 1:

Armie Hammer's ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers doing some interviews this week. She said she was shocked to hear of those rape and cannibalism allegations that have been brought against her ex-husband. She said during their marriage, Armie didn't exhibit any of the behaviors that all of these other women have been accusing him of. She also said she didn't hear anything about the allegations until 2021 after she had filed for divorce. She said, I was learning things as the public was. And she said she just kept thinking to herself, there are no words. What the F? Remember, Armie Hammer accused of sexual assault and cannibalistic behavior by numerous women.

01:55:00 - 01:55:44 | Speaker 2:

women who dated him and came forward with all of these allegations. He did end up denying the rape allegations in a recent interview, but did admit to being emotionally abusive to some of his partners. No official charges have been filed against him. And lastly, Tommy Lee, the drummer for Motley Crue, shared yet another photo of his junk to Twitter. The photo was taken from behind, so you can see his butt and his balls. And he captioned the photo. Wow. Is that, by the way, the news term of that? I could say testicles. But he said, hey, Mr. Peanut, let's collab. I'll bring the nuts. Ah. With his name.

01:55:44 - 01:55:46 | Speaker 1:

Ba-da-ba. Yeah.

01:55:46 - 01:55:49 | Speaker 2:

I don't know why. He just did what he did. So, great.

01:55:50 - 01:55:53 | Speaker 1:

Most famous male part ever, right?

01:55:54 - 01:55:56 | Speaker 3:

On Facebook, baby, for what, 36 hours?

01:55:56 - 01:55:59 | Speaker 1:

That's amazing that Facebook allowed that, right? Yeah.

01:56:00 - 01:56:00 | Speaker 2:

It's amazing.

01:56:00 - 01:56:01 | Speaker 1:

Ooh.

01:56:01 - 01:56:07 | Speaker 2:

It is amazing. I thought it was only up for five hours. Was it longer than that? No, it was up for like over a day. Was it?

01:56:07 - 01:56:08 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

01:56:08 - 01:56:08 | Speaker 1:

Wow.

01:56:09 - 01:56:13 | Speaker 2:

01:57:01 - 01:57:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh, thank you. I appreciate it. Who are you going to bring with you?

01:57:04 - 01:57:10 | Speaker 3:

I am going to bring my daughter. She just recently lost her dog, and she's been very down.

01:57:11 - 01:57:15 | Speaker 1:

Well, you know what? That's going to be nice. You'll enjoy. It'll be a good show. It's in July, okay?

01:57:16 - 01:57:20 | Speaker 3:

Awesome. I love you guys, and I love Ed Sheeran, too.

01:57:20 - 01:57:23 | Speaker 1:

Congrats to you. Well, thank you for listening. We appreciate it.

01:57:24 - 01:57:24 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

01:57:24 - 01:57:27 | Speaker 1:

All right, take care. Hold on one second, and we'll get some information from you.

01:57:27 - 01:57:33 | Speaker 3:

All right. Yeah. Shannon Bust Cheaters with War of the Roses coming up at 9 a.m. It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:57:45 - 01:58:49 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning. I've got to turn my microphone on. Mojo in the Morning. 844-MOJO-LIVE is our telephone number. 844-665-6548 or text 95500. If you are in the service industry, if you are somebody that gets tips, the IRS is coming for you. Coming up here this morning on the show before we end, the story about what the IRS is doing to go after your tips. So we'll talk about that. And there's a bunch of other stories, too, that are huge, trendy ones, like the major trade that happened in the NBA. And it didn't involve the Pistons, unfortunately. But it did involve the locally owned now Phoenix Suns who now have what many consider the best player in basketball. So we'll talk about that and a whole bunch more. So we got a lot of stories to talk about. Right now, we need to talk about Megan and what Megan is doing to kill time these days because she went out and had a little impulse purchase.

01:58:49 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 3:

I did. And I don't know if you guys have seen this, but it's pretty much everywhere. Mike and I were talking about it yesterday. It's called Hogwarts Legacy. And it is the newest and greatest video game, apparently, that has been released in a very, very long time. It is an open world game about, like, Hogwarts and the world of wizarding, like, 100 years before Harry Potter was born. It is so cool. Kind of choose your own adventure. You can be a good guy. You can be a bad guy. I started watching people streaming this online the day it got released, and I was hyped. Is it for Nintendo Switch? Well, here's the thing. It's for Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, and I think PC. I heard Lou talking about it. PC, yes. Yeah. So when it first dropped, it came out originally on the newest version of Xbox and PlayStation. Then a couple of days later, it was coming out for the old versions of PlayStation and the old versions of Xbox. But I was hyped, so hyped, that remember the other day I talked about the guy who got my phone number when I was signing up for a membership? Yes. Turns out that membership was at GameStop because I was...

02:00:00 - 02:00:47 | Speaker 4:

was buying a switch so i could play this game wow so i went out and i was like yeah yeah let's get this boy it's okay i don't know what's happening to me i'm sorry i need to call it out let me take a step back i've wanted i know i've wanted a switch for a very very very long time like it's been on my brother's and my dad's list for like birthdays and christmas and stuff like that like i've wanted one never wanted to buy it for myself kind of deal this game came out and i was like this is my side, this is it, we're going balls to the walls. I went out, and I spent way too much money buying the nicest one there was, even though my bank account was like, who do you think you are? Turns out when I got home, I'm like, I'm going to download this game. I'm going to spend all my time playing Hogwarts Legacy. Boom, boom.

02:00:48 - 02:00:52 | Speaker 1:

How many energy drinks did you have before the show today? How many?

02:00:52 - 02:01:07 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely zero. I called bullcrap on that. I didn't. I got, uh, Starbeez, baby. We got Starbeez. Oh, she got it. Oh, God, she got us. Technicality. I can tell. I can tell.

02:01:07 - 02:01:07 | Speaker 2:

Technicality.

02:01:08 - 02:01:57 | Speaker 4:

Um, y'all, every time I'm having a good day, y'all, like, what's wrong with you? I didn't say what's wrong. I said how many energy drinks? All right, I'll calm down. Anyways, what had happened was, it turns out, Awkward Legacy doesn't actually come out until July 25th, so I bought something six months in advance. Well, just play Animal Crossing for a while. So, I have been. It comes out this weekend. For Switch? Not for Switch. For Switch, it comes out July 25th. So, I've been playing Animal Crossing. Turns out, you need to have friends to make progress in that game pretty consistently. I don't have any friends on the game. I'll let Lucy play with you. Like, I'm this close to just posting my code on my Instagram to try to get random people to play with.

02:01:58 - 02:02:02 | Speaker 2:

So when are you finding time to do this in your very busy day?

02:02:04 - 02:02:06 | Speaker 4:

I haven't been productive in three days.

02:02:06 - 02:02:08 | Speaker 1:

I haven't done anything.

02:02:09 - 02:02:41 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely anything done as soon as the show ends. I go home. I look at the pile of laundry that needs to be done. I take the fastest shower ever. I haven't blow dried my hair in three days because I don't have time for that. I got peaches. I got snowflakes to catch. I've got fish to fish. Ain't nobody got time for this. Right. Right. So that's been my life for the past three days. And now I'm watching everybody play Hogwarts Legacy. And I'm watching it streamed online. And I'm seeing all this cool stuff. And I'm like, I guess, oh, wait.

02:02:41 - 02:02:56 | Speaker 3:

My turn. I remember making fun of my kids. Like, not making fun of them, but kind of joking around with them for watching other kids play games on YouTube. And I'm like, why would you watch other kids play games on YouTube? but i've been doing the same thing watching the uh tiktoks of people playing this game

02:02:56 - 02:03:55 | Speaker 2:

for like four days it looks that good wow yeah wow yeah megan i love it my favorite megan uh is megan energized listen to her it doesn't feel like it no no it's fun we just wanted to know if you're going to share whatever you got so because sharing is caring real quick um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 what is your latest impulse purchase that you made that now you're so into that you are so crazy about because it's so much fun it's funny that you say this i i should actually ask joe every time i call joe my son megan he's playing and i think he might be playing just like you're doing he's got something right now that he's been like really into and it's not playing with himself but but it's funny it's funny though because this is the reason why I don't do this. I can't make an impulse purchase like this because I get lost, and then I'm done, and I'll never get anything else accomplished.

02:03:55 - 02:04:21 | Speaker 4:

The Sims 5 was just announced, and I know when that drops, I'm buying a whole new computer. But that's going to be a while, right? I think it's going to be this year or next year. The game, Sims 4, is now free with all of their updates because they're trying to get people hooked on it, which, by the way, 10 out of 10 would recommend if you don't want your free time, go download The Sims 4. But I know when that game... I need to get Hogwarts Legacy done and played through before The Sims 5 drops. Also, what is my life?

02:04:22 - 02:04:23 | Speaker 2:

Hold on.

02:04:23 - 02:04:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. I'm so single.

02:04:24 - 02:04:28 | Speaker 2:

I got a partner for you. Mia, you want to be Megan's playing partner?

02:04:29 - 02:04:43 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. When I tell you that, I don't know if it's just a switch or, like, Animal Crossing, but when I say it takes your soul, it takes your soul. Like, you can't do nothing other than play Animal Crossing.

02:04:44 - 02:04:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:04:44 - 02:04:50 | Speaker 2:

It just gets you, and once it gets you, it's got you. You're sucked in, right?

02:04:51 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 1:

I'm literally just getting back from, like, getting groceries. I'm going to put them away, and you bet I'm turning on my game this morning because it's a whole new game. Oh, I love it.

02:05:00 - 02:05:01 | Speaker 6:

So many things to get done.

02:05:01 - 02:05:08 | Speaker 2:

I think any new game, it becomes so addicting that you just forget about real life for a couple weeks.

02:05:08 - 02:05:15 | Speaker 6:

My wife is going away for the weekend so I can play this. Is she taking the kids with? No. Well, the kids will go to bed at like 8.

02:05:16 - 02:05:36 | Speaker 4:

What kids? I have no kids. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Hold on. I'm going to ask because every time I call Joe, he tells me he has to call me back later. or hey hey what is the game that you're now playing like crazy my nintendo switch is that

02:05:36 - 02:05:57 | Speaker 5:

what it is what game what game are you playing i have uh you buy it's like a uh subscription that you pay annually and on the switch you can play everything from nintendo 64 so i play like uh you're playing the old school games super mario 64 and i play uh the uh star fox and oh my god Super Mario Strikers, though, that's a new game.

02:05:57 - 02:06:22 | Speaker 4:

We're talking about how Megan is doing the same, and you won't be able to hear her because she's on the air and you're on my phone right now, but I've lost. Every time I call Joe, he's like, he'll go, hey, so what's going on? And then he always does the same thing that I do if I'm not paying attention to somebody's call. He goes, so what did you say? Or what's going on? What are you doing? Like, he'll do that whole thing, and you can always tell that he's on there, and then he's, like, making weird noises, and then he'll go, I've got to call you back later. But now Megan is this way.

02:06:22 - 02:06:31 | Speaker 5:

I think I finally understand you with that, too, by the way, because even yesterday I was like, hey, can I ask you a question? And then I realized I said that because I didn't know really what to say, and then I was thinking of a question.

02:06:31 - 02:06:33 | Unknown:

I think that's exactly what you do.

02:06:33 - 02:06:37 | Speaker 4:

That's exactly what I do. Megan, what do you need to play in partner for? What game?

02:06:37 - 02:06:38 | Speaker 3:

Animal Crossing.

02:06:38 - 02:06:40 | Speaker 4:

Megan wants to know if you'll play Animal Crossing with her.

02:06:41 - 02:06:51 | Speaker 5:

Oh, she's got to teach me how to play. But, yes, I keep looking at it in the Nintendo Switch store. I'm telling you, it's the worst thing ever. I keep downloading games. I'm in. I'm 1,000% in.

02:06:51 - 02:06:55 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. By the way, Tony Travato, don't we have an all-in programming meeting today?

02:06:56 - 02:07:04 | Speaker 5:

Yes. Do we? It's the greatest because with the all-in programming meetings, they don't even know that you look like you're taking notes or something, but you're on your Nintendo Switch.

02:07:07 - 02:07:08 | Speaker 4:

All right. I'll talk to you later, Joe.

02:07:09 - 02:07:10 | Speaker 5:

All right. I'm going to go back to playing.

02:07:11 - 02:07:16 | Speaker 4:

All right. Love you. Bye. Hold on a second here. Angela, what did you want to say?

02:07:17 - 02:07:24 | Speaker 7:

Oh, I agree with Megan. I'm saving up for a new computer for the Sims. But I also want to say, Megan, I can hook you up in Animal Crossing. I have everything.

02:07:25 - 02:07:26 | Unknown:

Yeah, Barb. Yeah.

02:07:27 - 02:07:43 | Speaker 3:

Here's the thing. I've been playing Legend of Zelda, too, because everybody said that's a really great game. I really want Skyrim. They didn't have it in the store. I was very, very upset about it. I'm a big Skyrim fan. So I started doing Zelda, and I'm going to be real honest, I'm very bad at it. And I got very angry, and I angrily shut it off and went back to Animal Crossing.

02:07:43 - 02:07:57 | Speaker 2:

Oh, talk to my Meg. She is so into Legend of Zelda because she was as a kid growing up. And now the new one, she, like, quote-unquote, works from home. But when I get home sometimes, I hear her cursing at the TV. And she's all in it.

02:07:57 - 02:08:00 | Speaker 8:

This is why she doesn't want you home early. Yeah. Because you bust her doing that.

02:08:00 - 02:08:01 | Speaker 2:

Nicole, what's happening?

02:08:02 - 02:08:17 | Speaker 9:

Hey. So we bought our son a Switch for Christmas. And we were obsessed. We have played Zelda nonstop. And it got so bad that they had to buy me my own Switch for my birthday. I love it.

02:08:18 - 02:08:22 | Speaker 4:

So you guys are all on your own switches. How many switches do you have at home?

02:08:23 - 02:08:29 | Speaker 9:

So there's three. But we would purposely put the kids to bed early so we could play Zelda. And we would just stay up at home.

02:08:30 - 02:08:33 | Speaker 4:

Wait, how early did you put the kids to bed? Because this would be fun.

02:08:33 - 02:08:36 | Speaker 9:

About 7.30. Oh, my gosh. Wow.

02:08:37 - 02:08:39 | Speaker 4:

Oh, awesome. Thank you for the call.

02:08:40 - 02:08:43 | Speaker 1:

This is Mojo in the Morning Live.

02:08:43 - 02:08:58 | Speaker 4:

Giving you a word to text in to win coming up here in just a little bit. Actually, you'll enter it on MojoInTheMorning.com if you want to pull that up on your phone right now. MojoInTheMorning.com, that's the website. And then pay your bills. I'll give you the word right after.

02:08:59 - 02:09:04 | Speaker 1:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:09:06 - 02:09:06 | Speaker 4:

Tasha.

02:09:07 - 02:09:08 | Speaker 8:

Hi.

02:09:08 - 02:09:16 | Speaker 4:

So you're suspicious that your boyfriend is cheating on you because he didn't come home when it snowed last week?

02:09:18 - 02:09:19 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, my husband actually.

02:09:19 - 02:09:31 | Speaker 4:

Your husband? Oh my gosh, okay. And it was something that he also kind of lied about too. You want to explain where he said he was?

02:09:32 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, you know that snowstorm that we had last week? That was when this first started. He was out. He was supposed to be visiting his mom. She was, like, an hour north from us. And, you know, then we got all that snow, and he said that this squall came in and the roads were really bad, and he was just going to sleep.

02:10:00 - 02:11:09 | Speaker 5:

sleepover at his mom so he didn't have to drive through the snow which was fine but then this week i i talked to his mom on the phone and during the conversation it became clear to me that he did not sleep over there and i just want to know you know i want to know why he liked me and i want to know where he was too and i i haven't i haven't asked him about it yet because i thought that uh where the roses might get an answer for me real quick yeah okay is there anything else that's been happening or is this kind of like a like an isolated incident i mean you know looking back my mind probably wouldn't have gone there if i hadn't been noticing some signs like there have been times where i feel like he's been a little bit evasive but you know i guess it didn't click into place for me until this incident that you know there might be something deeper going on yeah yeah and have you ever caught him cheating before no i i haven't but i mean to be fair i really haven't looked for him cheating before all right well this is definitely weird

02:11:09 - 02:11:14 | Speaker 1:

if he said he slept over his mom's and then you find out she says he didn't sleep over there we're

02:11:14 - 02:11:23 | Speaker 2:

gonna call him up and we're gonna see where he sends a dozen free roses and see if we can get an answer for you mute your phone okay all right

02:11:23 - 02:12:21 | Speaker 3:

hello hi i'm looking for jacoby please uh this is jacoby hi jacoby my name is nicole and i'm calling from a new online floral company called roses bloom.com with an offer for some free flowers not going to ask you for your credit card information or anything but if you have 30 seconds to answer two quick survey questions for me. We're going to be able to send out these flowers later today to the person of your choice anywhere in the country, and hopefully you will use rosesbloom.com in the future when you order flowers. Free? For free. Yep. Absolutely free. No strings attached. All right. I can answer some questions. Okay. The first question, have you purchased flowers in the last six months, Jacoby? No. Okay. Do you plan on purchasing flowers in the

02:12:21 - 02:12:31 | Speaker 4:

next six months, maybe? Maybe. Maybe? Yeah, I don't see why not. Okay. As a thank you for

02:12:31 - 02:13:07 | Speaker 3:

participating in that rosesbloom.com survey, like I said, I'm now authorized to provide you with one dozen long stemmed red roses, just so you know what you're getting. They can go out as early as today. And I just need to get some info from you in terms of who these are going to go to. So we'll start with a first and a last name uh sure um leona l-e-o-n-a okay and just so i'm gonna start a file for you just to make it easier for when you do hopefully order from us in the future So what is Leona's relationship to you?

02:13:09 - 02:13:10 | Speaker 4:

Hello?

02:13:10 - 02:13:13 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Jacoby?

02:13:14 - 02:13:14 | Speaker 4:

Hello.

02:13:15 - 02:13:17 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Did you hear my question?

02:13:18 - 02:13:18 | Unknown:

One more time.

02:13:19 - 02:13:28 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to start an account for you, a file for you. Just hopefully it'll make it easier when you order flowers from us in the future. So what is Leona's relationship to you?

02:13:30 - 02:13:32 | Speaker 4:

We work together.

02:13:33 - 02:13:34 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so colleague.

02:13:34 - 02:13:36 | Speaker 4:

We work together.

02:13:37 - 02:13:51 | Speaker 3:

Okay. And we also are offering something new right now. It's a digital voice card where you can leave your own message that will come via a text message to Leona's phone when the flowers get delivered. Did you want to do something like that?

02:13:53 - 02:13:54 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to do what?

02:13:54 - 02:14:26 | Speaker 3:

So essentially, you can record a voice message instead of us sending a paper card with the flowers. It's just, it's something new that we're doing and trying to make the deliveries a little bit more personal. Does that make sense? I mean, I guess. So when the flowers get delivered, Leona will get a text saying, you know, please go outside and check you have a delivery. And then the audio file will be along with that. So she'll know who they're from.

02:14:28 - 02:14:30 | Speaker 4:

And it won't get traced back to me or anything like that, right?

02:14:31 - 02:14:32 | Speaker 3:

Well, she'll know it's from you.

02:14:33 - 02:14:39 | Speaker 4:

because it'll be your voice okay all right i mean that makes sense okay so did you want to go ahead

02:14:39 - 02:14:47 | Speaker 3:

and do that sure okay give me one second and i am going to count you down and then we'll

02:14:47 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 4:

go ahead and record it okay great okay and three two one hey leona i had a great time last week. Can't wait to see you again. Thanks for everything.

02:15:00 - 02:15:02 | Unknown:

Jacoby

02:15:02 - 02:15:10 | Speaker 3:

Awesome And Jacoby real quick I have to let you know that this call is being recorded For quality and training purposes Are you okay with that?

02:15:11 - 02:15:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah sure Great Hey Jacoby I'm just going to jump on real quick And we'll send those flowers off But I just need to tell you a couple last things Okay before we let you go Oh he hung up the phone We never got a chance to tell him. Tasha?

02:15:38 - 02:15:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm still here. Do you know who that person is? Um, yeah.

02:15:46 - 02:15:50 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I do, actually.

02:15:50 - 02:15:56 | Speaker 2:

So it's somebody he works with that... Have you ever been suspicious of her and him together?

02:15:56 - 02:16:13 | Speaker 6:

um i wouldn't say suspicious in the past i have been a little bit jealous but i thought that was all on me and um uh this is all kind of clicking into place sorry this is uh there's a lot to

02:16:13 - 02:16:29 | Speaker 2:

take in but um you stay you stay right here and we're gonna get him he's actually on he got we got him back on the phone we're gonna we're gonna get an explanation okay okay all right hang on one

02:16:29 - 02:16:39 | Speaker 1:

02:16:39 - 02:17:16 | Speaker 2:

mojo in the morning war of the roses a wife suspects that her husband's cheating when his mom says he never stayed at our house during the snowstorm. A lie that definitely gets him busted, but then he sends flowers to another woman and won't stay on the phone with us when he notices that he's been set up. Tasha, are you okay trying this out? Are you okay doing this?

02:17:17 - 02:17:20 | Speaker 5:

Um, I think so.

02:17:21 - 02:17:41 | Speaker 2:

All right. Jacoby, you're on with us right now. And just so you know, Jacoby, that we have on the phone with us your wife, who was listening in to every word that you said, including the words that you said while you were sending flowers to another woman.

02:17:42 - 02:17:47 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm just doing this for a coworker. I mean, just a friend of mine.

02:17:47 - 02:17:55 | Speaker 6:

what were you talking about last week said you had a great time last week

02:17:55 - 02:17:58 | Speaker 2:

he was what did you say

02:17:58 - 02:18:01 | Speaker 4:

we work together every week

02:18:01 - 02:18:04 | Speaker 6:

then what was so special about last week

02:18:04 - 02:18:08 | Speaker 4:

nothing nothing

02:18:08 - 02:18:11 | Speaker 3:

well it had to be something because

02:18:11 - 02:18:13 | Speaker 1:

you pointed it out in your message

02:18:13 - 02:18:19 | Speaker 3:

well not only that but also you chose to send flowers to somebody other than your wife And it wouldn't just be just because.

02:18:20 - 02:18:22 | Speaker 4:

She's just a really good friend.

02:18:24 - 02:18:35 | Speaker 2:

Well, there's something else that Tasha found out about. And Tasha, do you want to tell your husband what you found out about?

02:18:37 - 02:18:41 | Speaker 6:

I talked to your mom, and I know that you never went to her house last week.

02:18:44 - 02:18:47 | Speaker 4:

I was there. I do that with my mom, I swear

02:18:47 - 02:19:00 | Speaker 6:

Your mom's lying? Is that what you're saying to me? No Your mom is lying And coincidentally you happened to send flowers To someone and thank them for last week Do you really want me to believe that?

02:19:02 - 02:19:11 | Speaker 4:

I'm sorry, what is going on? I'm so confused Let's answer her question She's a good friend I was at my mom's I don't know what else to say

02:19:11 - 02:19:14 | Speaker 1:

Why does your mom say you weren't there?

02:19:15 - 02:19:22 | Speaker 4:

I don't know why she would say that. You know, my mom's getting old. Maybe she's losing it a little bit. I don't know.

02:19:22 - 02:19:24 | Speaker 1:

Dude, you sent flowers to your co-worker.

02:19:26 - 02:19:34 | Speaker 4:

She's always there for me. She's really good. She covers me all the time at work. I mean, I'm just showing some respect. She's going to send her some flowers.

02:19:38 - 02:19:41 | Speaker 6:

I am never going to believe that this is all innocent.

02:19:41 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 2:

i'm gonna let you guys talk uh together when we're not around so i'm gonna put you guys on a separate line and and if you're up for that tasha you you tell our producer that you're up for that

02:20:00 - 02:20:47 | Speaker 1:

OK, so both you guys hang on the phone for just one second. OK. Put them at home. I'm going to take some calls here in a second, but a couple of just thoughts on this War of the Roses. Interesting mom being his alibi for him not to think that that could catch up to him, you know, and come back where a situation like this happens where, you know, Tasha talks to her mother-in-law you know says something about it or even if what if she called that night you know uh to check in and then the other thought uh that i had with this after we did the war of the roses was where did they say that they were going to be and you found out that they were somewhere else

02:20:47 - 02:21:05 | Speaker 2:

where were they i think the most common one that we get and i'd love to hear from listeners on yours seems like a lot of people especially guys will use the travel for work excuse like oh yeah yeah i have to go to chicago for work and they're not for work at all kim wants to comment uh by the way

02:21:05 - 02:21:21 | Speaker 1:

you you i'm sure heard this because we we did it but um it was a new thing that we wanted to try out and actually our producer had this idea of doing the voice uh memo thing kim you want to

02:21:21 - 02:21:28 | Speaker 5:

comment on that yeah i noticed when he was being asked a question he asked if it could be traced

02:21:28 - 02:21:35 | Speaker 3:

back to him oh yeah yeah he did not want anybody to know it was it was him doing it yet it was

02:21:35 - 02:21:43 | Speaker 1:

going to be his voice dead giveaway yeah uh justin what's up you want to also comment on the voice

02:21:43 - 02:21:49 | Speaker 4:

memo yeah i love the voice memo idea you give an extra have an extra recording of them telling on

02:21:49 - 02:21:53 | Speaker 2:

themselves. Would you like to record your confession?

02:21:53 - 02:22:01 | Speaker 3:

Not only that, but we're hoping that when we do this more and more in the future that they'll give even more details that we can kind of pick apart for

02:22:01 - 02:22:16 | Speaker 1:

evidence. Absolutely, Shanna. Hopefully they will. Thanks, buddy. Appreciate it. What's going on? Love you. I love you, too. Gianna, hi. It's Mojo in the morning. Hi, good morning.

02:22:16 - 02:22:27 | Speaker 5:

I thought it was very funny How he was saying that it was all innocent But he sent a dozen red roses To someone not his wife Right before Valentine's Day

02:22:27 - 02:22:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah Not good

02:22:30 - 02:22:31 | Speaker 2:

This one seems cut and dry

02:22:31 - 02:22:52 | Speaker 1:

Well there's not much excuses That you could use after that I mean him just hanging up the phone Right away to me Calls for guilt And unless he just thought he was getting scammed in a in another type of a way but uh sarah what's going on hi i was just

02:22:52 - 02:23:09 | Speaker 4:

gonna say why don't they contact leona obviously she works with him well and um that's actually happened to me so really the co-worker thing yep my ex um said that he wasn't with her and he lied lied lied and then all of a sudden i told you know i said well let's contact her and she told

02:23:09 - 02:23:16 | Speaker 1:

me everything so did you always have did you always have a bad feeling about this woman and

02:23:16 - 02:23:39 | Speaker 4:

him and their relationship yeah they worked in the plant together on midnight shift and i had a feeling and i was right i mean tasha right away knew that there was something going on there yes she says you know i mean basically i'm not saying jealous of leona but she just said that You know, she was worried about her. So, you know, her gut feelings right.

02:23:39 - 02:23:47 | Speaker 2:

I love this show. I love working with everybody on this show. I've never wanted to send any of them red roses and say, I can't wait to see you again. Rude. Yeah.

02:23:50 - 02:23:52 | Speaker 1:

Jill, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning. Where are the roses?

02:23:53 - 02:23:55 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. I said that we should call his mom.

02:23:56 - 02:23:58 | Speaker 3:

A lot of people are saying that. Yeah.

02:23:59 - 02:24:24 | Speaker 6:

So my ex actually saved his ex's phone number and his phone as mom and then the number two. like two phones. And I know his mom didn't have two phones because I knew his mom. And I read the text messages one day and there was like a couple that were like maybe a little bit flirty, but not like outright flirty. And so I asked him about it and he was like, oh, I don't know. She was being weird. And I'm like, that's really weird. And so I read it again, like a couple

02:24:24 - 02:24:35 | Speaker 1:

days later and it was so clear that it was not his mom. And amazing to think that your mom, You know is not going to have a conversation With you you know to talk about

02:24:35 - 02:24:37 | Speaker 6:

Putting like winky faces

02:24:37 - 02:24:39 | Speaker 1:

Yeah totally his mom

02:24:39 - 02:24:50 | Speaker 6:

Weird stuff like that but then Also just I just knew his mom And I'm like no but also Why would you want to be flirting with somebody And see their name as mom even if it wasn't your mom

02:24:50 - 02:24:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah you're right That is kind of creepy What's up Audie

02:24:53 - 02:24:56 | Speaker 6:

Hi good morning

02:24:56 - 02:25:17 | Speaker 5:

I wanted to comment on the fact that You know Thank you. they're co-workers so they see each other every day and he did say that in his excuse but in the voice memo he said i'll see you next week so what makes next week so special besides the fact that if you guys see each other every day that is a great point yeah no i we honestly didn't even

02:25:17 - 02:25:23 | Speaker 4:

catch that that's actually a yeah i noticed that i was like let me call it and point that out

02:25:23 - 02:25:51 | Speaker 3:

thank you for pointing that out we're gonna have to ask tasha about that yeah uh i asked the uh the question of where did they say they were and where were they and listen to some of these ones are crazy sarah where did your ex-husband say that he was uh church oh geez and and what was he really doing he joined a couple's bowling league and fooling around yeah

02:25:51 - 02:25:59 | Speaker 2:

wow who were the other couples like did they know that he was a married guy and this wasn't his wife

02:25:59 - 02:26:07 | Speaker 4:

um i don't know if they knew he was married but it was a couple week that she was on with her

02:26:07 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 3:

husband and she kicked him off to have my husband join oh my god she's um michelle you had someone use you as an excuse as an alibi right yeah my good friend was having an affair

02:26:24 - 02:27:01 | Speaker 5:

unbeknownst to me and she was going to meet up with him and told her husband that we were going to go shopping and out to dinner and go out have some drinks and she'd be home really late he i guess believed her and my husband and i went out to dinner and who walked in the restaurant her husband and his mother going out to dinner oh geez he looked at me like oh my god you know like where is you know and that was a really awkward awkward situation they ended up getting divorced over the whole thing and she had been having an affair for years and I had not a clue

02:27:01 - 02:27:17 | Speaker 3:

unreal yeah well good karma caught up and this is wild Katie hi who what who was this your your husband or boyfriend this was no this was an ex-boyfriend

02:27:17 - 02:28:01 | Speaker 5:

And it was about, I think we were like two and a half years in, and I needed to, he wasn't able, he was actually in the hospital, he wasn't able to use his phone, and I needed to contact his parents. And I knew his password, I knew everything, so I was never suspicious. And I get into his contact, and there's like nine or ten different moms and dads. Oh, wow. Wow. I was like, okay, first of all, now I'm panicking because I don't even know actually who to contact. And second of all, like once I had time to sit there and let it sink in, I was like, all right, this is a serious problem.

02:28:02 - 02:28:07 | Speaker 3:

What a dummy. So did you have to go through all of them to finally find his right mom or dad?

02:28:08 - 02:28:15 | Speaker 5:

Well, I ended up having to contact his sister and be like, what are your parents' numbers? Because I don't have them in my phone.

02:28:15 - 02:28:21 | Speaker 3:

Could you imagine if you went to go get a sister's number and there was, like, 12 sisters in there? That would have been crazy, too.

02:28:21 - 02:28:21 | Speaker 5:

God.

02:28:22 - 02:28:22 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man.

02:28:22 - 02:28:33 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that was my next thought. And then his excuse was that they've just changed their phone number a lot over the years, and he's never bothered to delete yours. Right.

02:28:33 - 02:28:37 | Speaker 3:

Right. Amazing. All right. Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses.

02:28:38 - 02:28:41 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:28:41 - 02:28:46 | Speaker 3:

Shannon has the Dirty on the 30 right now. We got a phone scam coming up here in just a little bit. Shannon, what do you got?

02:28:46 - 02:29:17 | Speaker 2:

Well, supposedly, Jennifer Affleck. Jennifer Affleck. Is she changing her name? She did change her name legally, she said. Jennifer Lopez, as we still know, gave Ben Affleck, there we go, the heads up that his very bored, miserable-looking self was turned into a meme during the actual Grammy Awards on Sunday night. This is coming from a woman who served as a seat filler for the evening and was sitting in for Ben and Jen throughout the evening. She's spilling the details on TikTok.

02:29:18 - 02:29:47 | Speaker 1:

The whole time they were cute and s***. J-Lo showed Ben Affleck the phone and was like, oh my God, honey, look at this meme circulating about you. And he was like, oh God, this again. Like he knew during the performance that he was a meme. Like he knew and he also chose just not to change his expression. Like I love how unbothered that is. But they were super lovey-dovey. Like their hands were always intertwined. And I don't know how to describe it, but they just were. So it wasn't like, oh, my God, this is going to lead to divorce. Like, they were cute.

02:29:47 - 02:29:56 | Speaker 2:

I wonder how much you get paid for that job. Seat filler? I don't know, but she won't be doing it anymore after spilling the tea. Yeah, I didn't think you were supposed to do that.

02:29:56 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 3:

I don't think the tea that she spilled, though, would get her in trouble because it was...

02:30:00 - 02:30:01 | Speaker 8:

actually positive towards Jenner. I was going to say, if

02:30:01 - 02:30:10 | Speaker 5:

anything, it made them look better. They still don't want the celebrities to feel they're being watched on what they're doing on their phones by the people around them. That's true.

02:30:10 - 02:30:25 | Speaker 8:

I feel like everybody nowadays has a social following that they want to build up and stuff. So I feel like even if you make people sign NDAs, they don't care. I'm just a seat filler. Even if I don't get a seat filler job, maybe I'll get 500,000 more followers or something.

02:30:26 - 02:30:51 | Speaker 2:

The Phoenix Suns are acquiring Kevin Durant in a blockbuster trade that went down with the Brooklyn Nets. The Suns sending Michael Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jay Crowder four first-round picks and a 20-28 pick swap to Brooklyn. Phoenix also getting TJ Warren in this deal, and Kevin Durant did want the move. New Suns majority owner Mattis Bia pushing to get that deal done yesterday on the eve of the NBA trade deadline.

02:30:51 - 02:30:59 | Speaker 8:

You wanted to get out of Brooklyn because there's nobody left. All the guys that came with them are gone. Kyrie and all those guys

02:30:59 - 02:31:04 | Speaker 2:

And he's currently out with an injury, but they said he'll be ready to return to action after the mid-February All-Star break.

02:31:04 - 02:31:26 | Speaker 8:

Matt Ishbia must have so much money. I think about this. I go, whoa. If I could buy a professional franchise, and then in your first year of ownership, would this not be the most amazing thing? He ends up winning the NBA championship? Oh, my gosh. They will erect a statue in Arizona for this guy if they're able to pull this thing off.

02:31:27 - 02:31:29 | Speaker 5:

I don't want to buy a team. I just want to buy tickets to a game.

02:31:29 - 02:32:39 | Speaker 2:

Do you guys remember the story of that ABC News producer who died after he left his kids at a hotel so that he and his wife could go out to dinner in New York City? Dax Tejera was his name. He was the executive producer of ABC's This Week with George Stephanopoulos. Well, officials are now revealing, this is kind of morbid, that he choked to death because he was drunk. That was his official cause of death. The rumor before was that he had had a heart attack. Now we know that wasn't it. And remember, also, his wife Veronica was arrested just hours after he collapsed for leaving their two babies alone in that hotel room that night. She was charged with child endangerment, but insisted, again, she was monitoring her children via a video app on her phone. DeMar Hamlin received an incredible honor from the NFL Players Association. It's called the Ellen Page Community Award. And he received that trophy at a ceremony, at a Super Bowl event yesterday afternoon, recognizing him as a player who went above and beyond to perform community service in his team city or hometown. He has that foundation for the toy drive that's now raised more than $9 million.

02:32:39 - 02:33:07 | Speaker 3:

And it raised all the money while he was in the hospital. Giving back to my community has always been a big part of who I am. I'm thankful to my father who's right here behind me. Growing up, just watching him do community days in our community, and I just always was waiting on my time when it came. One of my favorite quotes, it's a blessing to be a blessing. With that being said, I plan to never take this position for granted and always have an urgent approach in making a difference in the community.

02:33:07 - 02:33:16 | Speaker 2:

Looks good. He sounds good. Yeah, he does. By the way, the doctor for the NFL Players Association, Dr. Tom Mayer, was also talking yesterday about DeMar returning to the game.

02:33:16 - 02:33:24 | Speaker 1:

I don't want to get into HIPAA issues. But I guarantee you that DeMar Hamlin will play professional football again.

02:33:24 - 02:33:36 | Speaker 8:

By the way, the NFL came out right afterwards and said, but that's up to DeMar because they know HIPAA rules. He could actually sue. But, yeah, the doc says he's in good shape. Mike, he's going to be back.

02:33:37 - 02:33:47 | Speaker 6:

You know, I like it because of how much heart, no pun intended, he brings to the team. But I don't like it for, like, health. He almost died. Yeah, I feel like he cheated death.

02:33:47 - 02:33:54 | Speaker 7:

But a lot of people go into cardiac arrest, and if they live after cardiac arrest, they go on to live normal lives. They do their things.

02:33:54 - 02:34:00 | Speaker 6:

Couldn't he do anything else in the NFL? He could get a job doing anything there that isn't going to affect his health.

02:34:00 - 02:34:07 | Speaker 5:

I just got a concussion washing my car. You think I'm going to go out and wash my car again? I'll leave it to the automated machines from now on.

02:34:07 - 02:34:21 | Speaker 8:

But can I tell you what? He would have a potential lawsuit against teams if they don't want him back because they're not giving him a chance. because there's a lot of teams that probably aren't going to be risking signing a DeMar Hamlin to a contract knowing he's got a heart issue. I don't know.

02:34:21 - 02:34:24 | Speaker 4:

For sure, but why do you go back one big hit and you could be back in the same situation?

02:34:25 - 02:34:29 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. You know what? Why live life in fear?

02:34:29 - 02:34:33 | Speaker 4:

I just think you've lived life making millions of dollars. Maybe now it's time to do more.

02:34:33 - 02:34:37 | Speaker 8:

But he wasn't one of the high-paid guys. He's only been in the league for like a year or two.

02:34:37 - 02:34:46 | Speaker 4:

But even the lowest-paid guy is $300,000 a year. That is insane for any normal person. That is like a normal person's six years of salary.

02:34:46 - 02:34:46 | Speaker 8:

Got to pay your bills.

02:34:47 - 02:34:58 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but there's got to be other jobs that he could do surrounding, including what happened to him that could help other NFL players. And he'd still make a lot of money.

02:34:58 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 4:

You don't think the endorsements are going to?

02:35:00 - 02:35:11 | Speaker 3:

to roll in for that man yeah he does not need to play i say come back come back that'd be even a greater story to anybody that uh has overcome a health injury to come back and do something

02:35:11 - 02:35:35 | Speaker 4:

uh and lastly cbs is the late late show will soon be no more the network has decided to end the show after 28 years when james borden leaves yeah in the spring so in its place at 12 30 in the morning it's going to be a new version of at midnight it's that game so yeah that was on comedy central it I mean, it ended like in 2017, but I know Chris Hardwick hosted it back then. I don't think he's going to do it this time around, but I'm not positive about that.

02:35:35 - 02:35:38 | Speaker 1:

Actually, the host is going to be Damar Hamlin, former NFL player.

02:35:38 - 02:35:41 | Speaker 4:

For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on MojoInTheMorning.com.

02:35:42 - 02:35:47 | Speaker 1:

Let's go! Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. And another world-famous phone scam is next.

02:35:50 - 02:35:54 | Speaker 3:

Is it new? Is it used? Is it real? Is it fake?

02:35:54 - 02:35:55 | Speaker 4:

Does it matter?

02:35:55 - 02:36:22 | Speaker 3:

Does it not? I don't know. Well, truth, I mean, I don't know. I guess it doesn't matter if it's nice. It's interesting. Chelsea has fake purses. And I look at these fake purses and I'm like, I can't tell the difference between these things. Oh, some of them are so good. If they're fake or real. Yeah. And then she's got purses that she's got, you know, friends of hers that they kind of share, you know, with each other. But I never understood why anybody would spend that much money on a purse.

02:36:22 - 02:36:53 | Speaker 4:

Okay, but the fake purses that Chelsea or her friends have, they bought them themselves, yeah? Yes. Okay, so this is a discussion that we're having right now, my group of friends, because some of us are on one side, some of us on the other side, and I just want the listener take on this. So I have a friend who's been dating a guy for a couple of years now, and for her birthday this past weekend, he gifted her a Louis Vuitton, okay? Wow, that's awesome. Super nice, over-the-top gift, right? He's getting laid. Fancy. Yes. Fancy.

02:36:54 - 02:36:57 | Speaker 3:

Somebody's going to get laid, don't you think, out of that deal? Sure.

02:36:57 - 02:37:41 | Speaker 4:

We need to get you laid. So it was just the purse in a gift bag. So there was no dust bag, no box, which it should have come with both. You know, big, fancy, expensive bag. Okay. She didn't say anything about that because she didn't want to seem ungrateful. But then she finally was like, where's the dust bag? Where's the, like, where's the box? What's a dust bag? What is that? A dust bag is like a bag that protects the nice purse. If you get a leather purse of any kind, it will usually come in a little bag. It's so fancy, the bag comes with the bag. The bag comes with the bag. But this just came in. It was like the purse in a gift bag with a piece of tissue paper or whatever. And so when she said, hey, where's the dust bag and where's the box to it? He got all weird.

02:37:41 - 02:37:46 | Speaker 3:

Hold on a second. She just gets a Louis Vuitton. Megan, tell me that this is not ridiculous.

02:37:46 - 02:37:47 | Speaker 4:

But that's all part of the deal.

02:37:47 - 02:37:54 | Speaker 3:

She gets a Louis Vuitton from a guy and she has to sit there and go, wait a second. Where's the dust – where's the – Where's the box and the dust bag?

02:37:54 - 02:38:07 | Speaker 1:

Well, I feel like women that love those kind of bags, it's a status thing. So they also want to do an unboxing on their social of their amazing gift with the box and everything because it's about showing off.

02:38:07 - 02:38:13 | Speaker 4:

And also, if you store it, you want it in the stuff. You've got to take care of this thing.

02:38:13 - 02:38:14 | Speaker 1:

You store it even after you use it?

02:38:14 - 02:38:16 | Speaker 3:

Let me ask you a question, Spike.

02:38:16 - 02:38:16 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:38:16 - 02:38:29 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to give you one. If I come over to your house and I have a 75-inch television set, okay, that's the guy equivalent of this one, and it doesn't come in the box, but it's a beautiful-looking television set, you would take it gladly, right? I still want this TV.

02:38:29 - 02:38:32 | Speaker 4:

No, okay, so think about, I'm not like a shoe.

02:38:32 - 02:38:34 | Speaker 2:

That's exactly. A shoe guy.

02:38:34 - 02:38:35 | Speaker 4:

Mike, you're a shoe guy.

02:38:35 - 02:38:35 | Speaker 2:

Yes, yep.

02:38:35 - 02:38:37 | Speaker 4:

You need the box, right?

02:38:37 - 02:38:41 | Speaker 2:

It's the best way to authenticate it, but also, yes.

02:38:41 - 02:38:42 | Speaker 4:

Yes, you need the box, okay?

02:38:42 - 02:38:46 | Speaker 2:

The best way to authenticate it is put it on your foot. Okay.

02:38:46 - 02:38:49 | Speaker 4:

I'm trying to make the analogy

02:38:49 - 02:38:57 | Speaker 1:

No I get you because you're saying there's a difference Between if you're going to use it and just use it As a bag or if you want it Because you collect these expensive things

02:38:57 - 02:39:26 | Speaker 4:

Right okay And this is by the way her first very nice bag So she was very excited about it and like I said She was trying not to be ungrateful but she said where's the box for his bag So he She kept asking him about it And so finally he said stop worrying about it And just enjoy the purse So she did a little investigating Okay as every girl does and she found out that he bought it off of Facebook Marketplace for a very good deal, by the way, $200. Nice. Great deal. Is it real? That's a great deal.

02:39:27 - 02:39:29 | Speaker 3:

Now she doesn't want it because she got it off Facebook Marketplace.

02:39:30 - 02:39:50 | Speaker 4:

She still wants it. Oh, she still wants it. But she's wondering why he didn't just tell her that he got a good deal on the bag instead of trying to pass it off as a brand new bag. And again, how long has he known this woman? They've been dating for two and a half, almost three years, maybe. Two years. I don't know.

02:39:50 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 3:

And does she think that, what if he were to say, what if he didn't get it off Facebook Mark Replace, but what if he stole it from a woman and grabbed her purse?

02:40:00 - 02:40:01 | Speaker 4:

That's Somerset Collection.

02:40:01 - 02:40:13 | Speaker 6:

We had so many questions. Is it, has anybody ever gotten a used gift, but the person who gave it to you tried to pass it off as new? Is this still a good gift? Why was he acting so weird about it? There's so many questions.

02:40:13 - 02:40:14 | Speaker 4:

Anthony, comment on this one?

02:40:16 - 02:40:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. It's definitely secondhand. It's either he got it from a pawn shop or he bought it off Facebook Marketplace or a private seller.

02:40:26 - 02:40:29 | Speaker 4:

Does it matter, though? It does to her, obviously.

02:40:30 - 02:40:35 | Speaker 2:

it would matter for the value for sure right really but you're not going to resell it you're

02:40:35 - 02:40:44 | Speaker 4:

going to use it oh but a lot of people resell them well yeah you shouldn't you shouldn't get a gift and say i'm going to resell it you should get a gift to enjoy it what'd you say megan what's

02:40:44 - 02:41:26 | Speaker 9:

the resell right on this yeah i i have a feeling that she knew i'm i'm assuming she has experience with designer bags if she was looking immediately for these telltale signs of if they were real or not and i bet you felt a little bit duped for not getting the real thing or else this wouldn't be a big deal would you take it me yeah yeah i don't have nice things all of my bags are knockoffs of designer bags that i get at like tj maxx and marshall's like i don't my let my purse that i've been carrying around for i mean like a month or two now i got at um burlington coat factory Like, I go and I get the $30 bags that are the rip-offs.

02:41:26 - 02:41:39 | Speaker 8:

Honestly, Megan, I'm the same. I have not caught that designer bag bug. And I'm actually very, very glad because I have money in my bank account because of it. Maybe one day. Maybe one day I'll have it.

02:41:39 - 02:41:49 | Speaker 5:

Would you guys do, so Allie loves to do this, but I'm asking if you guys would like to do this too. She goes to, like, the Play-Doh's closets and uptown cheapskates where you can go buy, like, a used one. It's a Michael Kors. Pashmark.

02:41:50 - 02:41:51 | Speaker 6:

I use Pashmark all the time.

02:41:51 - 02:41:57 | Speaker 5:

but it's like 30 bucks as opposed to like the but it's used would you do that and you're doing it

02:41:57 - 02:42:03 | Speaker 6:

yourself yes absolutely all day hey megan what's up listener megan hey hey guys just want to say

02:42:03 - 02:42:21 | Speaker 7:

love listening to your show listen to every morning my way to work thanks um i just want to say i agree with shannon because i'm a huge materialistic person and like i love the bags that it comes in and the boxes and i love to keep them and store them and use them for like other things in my room.

02:42:21 - 02:42:23 | Speaker 3:

It just reminds you, I own one of these.

02:42:23 - 02:42:25 | Speaker 4:

I like that you admit that you're materialistic.

02:42:25 - 02:42:31 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I heard that at the beginning. I can't buy a knockoff, like anything. I need Blue Lemon, not Old Navy.

02:42:31 - 02:42:39 | Speaker 4:

Let me guess where you live. No, no, Grady, I'm going to do it. You are Gross Point, Birmingham, Perrysburg, or East Grand Rapids?

02:42:40 - 02:42:43 | Speaker 7:

I'm actually not. I literally live in Clinton Township.

02:42:43 - 02:42:45 | Speaker 4:

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I missed that one.

02:42:45 - 02:42:52 | Speaker 9:

Did you say Old Navy like it's cheap, like that stuff isn't expensive as well? We are fighting, okay? We are actually fighting. We are actually fighting now.

02:42:53 - 02:43:06 | Speaker 3:

But there's a difference in what she did. Like, if you're just doing it because you want to have the box because you're materialistic and you want to show that you own it, that's fine. It makes you happy when you look at that box in your closet. If you're asking for the box because you might resell it someday, if I get Mike's birthday

02:43:06 - 02:43:13 | Speaker 6:

Which, by the way, that's not why she was asking for the box. She just wanted it to have the box in the bag. Like, she has no plans to resell this thing.

02:43:14 - 02:43:17 | Speaker 4:

What were you going to say about Mike's birthday? You're going to buy him a little bit of time?

02:43:17 - 02:43:27 | Speaker 3:

I was going to buy him an Apple Watch in two weeks for his birthday. But if he asked me for the box, too, and I found out he was going to resell it, I'd be really mad at him. Because you're going to give him your old watch, right?

02:43:27 - 02:43:30 | Speaker 6:

But, Mike, would it be weird if you got it without the box?

02:43:30 - 02:43:39 | Speaker 5:

It would feel like it was stolen or you gave me your used watch. So that would not be a good gift? No, I didn't say that. I didn't say that. See, that's the thing.

02:43:39 - 02:43:42 | Speaker 6:

This is what we're talking about. It's still a great gift.

02:43:42 - 02:43:44 | Speaker 4:

Well, forget it. I'm not getting it from Mike now.

02:43:44 - 02:43:45 | Speaker 1:

The purse is still a great gift.

02:43:46 - 02:43:47 | Speaker 4:

Kara, what did you want to say, Kara?

02:43:47 - 02:44:24 | Speaker 1:

hi um thank you for uh allowing me to talk i'm a first time caller but a long time listener i just wanted to say so don't get me wrong i love myself some brand name items and all of that but i just really don't think this is a big deal um i think it's the thought of the gift that actually counts and I mean obviously I think he should be honest about it if he has questions but I mean let's just be grateful we got a purse you know she's wearing it

02:44:24 - 02:44:28 | Speaker 4:

my favorite is 608 who says most ridiculous white people problems ever

02:44:28 - 02:44:30 | Speaker 7:

yeah

02:44:30 - 02:44:31 | Speaker 4:

thank you for the call

putting the ass in harassment it's another Mojo in the Morning phone scam

02:44:35 - 02:44:38 | Speaker 7:

I love listening to the phone scams

02:44:38 - 02:44:43 | Speaker 8:

in minutes wake up with Mojo in the Morning and laugh at the phone scams.

02:44:43 - 02:44:49 | Speaker 3:

This is Philip Rippinclipple. Ross, this is Horton Hersahu. My name's Vito Cappuccino. Five lies to tell your mom.

02:44:49 - 02:44:52 | Speaker 8:

Hey, Mom. Something happened yesterday that I need to tell you about.

02:44:53 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 3:

And senseless surveys. This is Mr. Dabalina Khan from the U.S. Senseless Bureau. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:45:00 - 02:45:29 | Speaker 1:

All right, Mojo in the Morning Show, you're home of the phone scams. Rachel asked us to scam her coworker who answers phones and apparently gets a lot of confused senior citizens calling. Hannah never loses her cool and will stay on the phone to help them even when, like, 12 other lines are ringing. Let's see if Spike can get her to lose her cool with the Mojo in the Morning phone scam. Hello? You're home of the phone scams. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:45:30 - 02:45:36 | Speaker 2:

Hello, and thank you for calling Horizon. For Horizon, press 1.

02:45:40 - 02:46:01 | Speaker 3:

Horizon, how can I help you? Yes, hello. I'm calling for help with my cell phone because it's really messing up lately. What happens is every time I call somebody, they hang up because I believe when I call, the display says potential spam. Is that what it says when you see it, potential spam?

02:46:03 - 02:46:06 | Speaker 2:

It didn't say potential spam on our phone. It said anonymous.

02:46:06 - 02:46:21 | Speaker 3:

Oh, this is so frustrating because my name is Paul and my last name is Tential Spam. And so I think somebody made a mistake there at your place and they typed it in wrong. Can you fix it for me?

02:46:22 - 02:46:29 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if I'll be able to, sir. Um, were you trying to call, um, were you trying to call your phone provider?

02:46:29 - 02:46:59 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I'm calling you guys at Verizon. No, sir, we're Horizon. We're, we're the... Oh my gosh, see? This happens too. Sometimes I try and call one business and it dials another number. I told my phone, call Verizon. So you can fix it? Um, unfortunately, sir, I don't think I can be able to fix it. Well, somebody's got to fix it because I can't talk to anybody. Every time I call, they hang up.

02:47:01 - 02:47:12 | Speaker 2:

If you want, sir, I can pull up the Verizon number and I can give it to you. So that way, if you want, you can try and type it in and see if they can call, if they can pick up for you. I'm sure they will try and pick up.

02:47:12 - 02:47:14 | Speaker 3:

Thank goodness. Yes. Thank you.

02:47:19 - 02:47:26 | Speaker 2:

I can give you the number to the closest one that is here. because I went there just recently for my Internet provider.

02:47:26 - 02:47:45 | Speaker 3:

It's 800-800-880-8801. So the first three is 800-800-880-800-8. Oh, my goodness. Hang on. I think I wrote too many eights down.

02:47:45 - 02:47:51 | Speaker 2:

All right. So it's going to be eight. So it's going to be – all right. So the first three is 800.

02:47:51 - 02:48:05 | Speaker 3:

8-0-0. Yep. Got it. Thank you so much. Wonderful. And is there someone there at Verizon that can help me? Tell them it's potential spam on the phone.

02:48:06 - 02:48:24 | Speaker 2:

Sir, we're not Verizon. We're the Horizon ****. We're not the Verizon Fires Company. Oh. I believe when you asked your phone to call Verizon, I think it accidentally thought you said Horizon. Right. But, like I said, I can provide you the phone number to the closest Verizon in the area.

02:48:24 - 02:48:27 | Speaker 3:

Wonderful. I will take that number. Thank you.

02:48:27 - 02:48:31 | Speaker 2:

Okay. So, their phone number is 800.

02:48:32 - 02:48:56 | Speaker 3:

880-266. She's done. We will, we will scam you. So we were talking about the Super Bowl halftime show.

02:48:56 - 02:49:41 | Speaker 1:

Do we know who's going to win the Super Bowl? Yes. A computer simulation of the matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles projects that the Philadelphia Eagles not only will win the Super Bowl, Spike, get ready for this one, But we'll run away with it. According to the Super Bowl simulation of EA's Madden NFL 23, the Eagles will beat the Kansas City Chiefs 31-17. And according to the video game, Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts will be the MVP passing for more than 282 yards, rushing for another 88 yards, and scoring three touchdowns in the game.

02:49:41 - 02:49:43 | Speaker 3:

Does EA have a good record with their simulation?

02:49:43 - 02:50:11 | Speaker 1:

Well, here's the deal. The Super Bowl matchups with EA have been going on for 19 years. The game's record is 11-8 since Super Bowl XXXVIII. The record also includes perfectly predicting the Patriots' 28-24 win over the Patriots'

02:50:00 - 02:50:06 | Speaker 3:

the seattle uh the seattle seahawks in super bowl 49 however the annual computer simulation has

02:50:06 - 02:50:12 | Speaker 2:

failed to pick the winner in the last four super bowls what about the simpsons doesn't the simpsons

02:50:12 - 02:50:38 | Speaker 3:

always predict well yeah the future right they always have that this time um okay so uh president biden uh did an interview he spoke out uh after doing the state of the union address which you reported earlier this morning i guess had not great ratings which is wild because it was on every single network yeah but then even we all came in and i don't think any of us were even watching it i watched the first half but did you i had to go to bed how long was it by the way

02:50:38 - 02:50:43 | Speaker 5:

because i didn't see that it started at nine i went to bed at 9 30 they typically go an hour or

02:50:43 - 02:51:07 | Speaker 3:

more so uh president biden spoke to what they said was uh the one of the lowest or if not the lowest uh state of the union ratings that they had but he did speak out and do an interview he actually got interviewed by PBS and he answered some interesting questions, including who is to blame for the records that were found in his homes, the ones that, you know, the secret, top secret

02:51:07 - 02:51:19 | Speaker 1:

documents that he had. This morning, President Biden is opening up about those classified documents found at his home and former office, calling the files straight papers from decades

02:51:19 - 02:51:31 | Speaker 6:

ago. The best of my knowledge, the kinds of things they picked up are things that from 1974 and stray papers. There may be something else I don't know. In a new interview, the president

02:51:31 - 02:51:41 | Speaker 1:

defended himself saying the searches for those documents were on a voluntary basis and he shifted some blame to the people who packed up his offices. They didn't do the kind of job that should have

02:51:41 - 02:51:46 | Speaker 6:

been done to go thoroughly through every single piece of literature that's there. The president

02:51:46 - 02:51:56 | Speaker 1:

also defended his handling of the Chinese spy balloon last week after the Pentagon waited days to shoot it down over the ocean, fearing people on the ground could get injured. Critics

02:51:56 - 02:52:11 | Speaker 6:

have called the decision to wait a dereliction of duty. The idea that there was a dereliction of duty, I think, is a bizarre notion. China knows exactly what the deal is with us.

02:52:11 - 02:52:53 | Speaker 3:

be interesting to see they say that you know in the past years the presidents have all done interviews with whoever has the super bowl and they usually you know will do that prior to the game and they haven't come out to say whether or not president biden is doing the interview this year because the game is going to be covered by his arch nemesis uh fox so they don't have fox and fox news aren't the same well fox fox news will have somebody from fox news do the interview like they've done in the past yeah that's what they typically do so like cbs covers it it's usually somebody from cbs news that does the interview somebody from nbc news does the interview for nbc fox news does the interview for fox and they are the same did you see the same network what

02:52:53 - 02:53:17 | Speaker 5:

the an hour ago with the uh some government officials talking about what was on that chinese spy balloon they had a they said this morning that it was it they found out that it flew over more than 40 countries and that it was capable of taking communication signals from the u.s like it could actually listen from up there to our communications can they figure that out if they

02:53:17 - 02:54:33 | Speaker 3:

can figure that out can they help me with my my cell phone that for some reason every now and again we'll uh we'll drop a call or two um it's it that's wild it's so be interesting to uh to see they say that they have a they have more balloons i don't know if you saw that report oh yeah supposedly they've got like there's dozens of them yeah uh did you guys hear this story in ohio uh megan your governor is under fire today although he did come out and apologize governor mike dewine at the press conference that was taking place um for the train derailment that took place in east palestine the he was doing a press conference and there was a news reporter from the network News Nation doing a live report. And while he was doing the live report, they arrested him because the police say that he was talking too loud doing his live report, which caused for Governor DeWine to have to come out and apologize to him for being arrested. First off, this is the reporter that was arrested. His name is, what is his name? Eric something or another. Eric Lambert is his name. This is him. After he got let out of jail, News Nation broke into coverage.

02:54:33 - 02:54:41 | Speaker 2:

And though I've got Evan. Welcome back. This was a hell of a day. Tell me what you're thinking.

02:54:43 - 02:55:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, thanks, Ashley. Everyone's just been checking on me. I'm doing fine right now. And it's just been an extremely long day. I have to be kind of careful about what I say. But as you can see, I'm out, you know, most things are on video, the situation. So it's pretty clear to see what happened. But, you know, I'll just say this. I'm just trying to do my job as I am continuing to do right now. And, you know, that's that's what it's all about, protecting the First Amendment and democracy and trying to help people get information. You know, we were talking about this major accident that impacted hundreds, thousands of people in this town. And that's just what we were trying to do at the time and what I continue to try to do.

02:55:28 - 02:55:37 | Speaker 5:

So here's the report on what happened and why they say that they arrested him, which made no sense, from Cleveland Television.

02:55:37 - 02:56:27 | Speaker 1:

We're learning a reporter who was handcuffed during today's news conference, led by Governor DeWine in East Palestine, was just released from jail. A statement from Governor DeWine's office says the governor was advised that the reporter was in the middle of a live report during his briefing when that reporter was asked to stop because he was too loud. You can see Evan Lambert, identified by his employer NewsNation, on his stomach as he was handcuffed by authorities. We found this statement posted to social media by NewsNation's Washington bureau chief. Now the statement says, Lambert called from the Columbiana County Jail and told NewsNation officials he'd been charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Governor DeWine took time during his press conference to condemn this arrest of this reporter, even saying he was sorry it happened.

02:56:27 - 02:56:59 | Speaker 3:

Let me just say that a reporter should be allowed to report live or to tape or whatever they want to do anywhere in this press conference. That happens frequently. All I can say is that person had a right to be reporting. They should have been allowed to report if they were in any way hampered from reporting. uh that that certainly is is is wrong and it's not a thing that i i approve i'm i'm certainly very very sorry that that happened it's crazy isn't it so the guy made the command to arrest

02:56:59 - 02:57:03 | Speaker 6:

the guy somebody from sounds like it must be sounds like works for him because he's being

02:57:03 - 02:57:25 | Speaker 5:

very contrite well or just the cops that were there keeping track of things because of it's interesting that the local township is the one that did the arrest because the ohio state police are saying they weren't part of the arrest. So it's kind of falling back. And the reason for the arrest was they say he was loud. They thought he was somebody disrupting, but he was there talking into a camera.

02:57:25 - 02:57:27 | Speaker 6:

Talking into a camera. Somebody didn't like it.

02:57:27 - 02:57:37 | Speaker 5:

It's crazy. Shannon, you'll love this story. A man's prostate cancer came with a bizarre, strange complication. An Irish accent.

02:57:37 - 02:57:40 | Speaker 6:

Stop it! I love when these happen.

02:57:40 - 02:58:10 | Speaker 5:

The case is reportedly the first ever associated with that form of cancer. Tragically, the man ultimately died from the illness. The man's doctors wrote that he was dealing with an ongoing case of prostate cancer when suddenly he developed an uncontrollable Irish brogue, an accent that they have no idea how he got because he has no Irish background whatsoever. They believe that it was a neurological situation that caused for this to happen.

02:58:10 - 02:58:25 | Speaker 6:

I was kind of hoping when I hit my head really hard last week and got the concussion that maybe I'd learn a few new languages or I'd be able to play piano. I have to have a little surgery coming up. I want an Australian accent so bad. So bad. But you'd have to have it forever. Whatever I could do. I don't care. I want it.

02:58:25 - 02:58:51 | Speaker 5:

You want it? How sleep-deprived is your state? Michigan and Ohio, some of the most sleep-deprived. But not the most. The most sleep-deprived state is Hawaii, followed by West Virginia and then Kentucky. They say that they lack in such sleep because of stress that happens in their lives. Michigan and Ohio are pretty close. Actually, Ohio's in the top 10. Michigan's just outside of the top 10.

02:58:51 - 02:58:53 | Speaker 1:

How many people are in Hawaii? Yeah. What?

02:58:54 - 02:58:55 | Speaker 5:

You know what I think it is?

02:58:55 - 02:58:56 | Speaker 1:

Drinking too many cocktails?

02:58:57 - 02:59:26 | Speaker 5:

I think that in Hawaii, though. I don't know. I think people in Hawaii, though, they face a lot of... They don't get to vacation all year. Well, they face it. A lot of weight issues, too. And poverty, too. Elementary principal and a P.E. teacher having an affair. Next, at 11, a Georgia elementary school teacher fired and the principal also fired after they were caught having sex on campus.

02:59:26 - 02:59:33 | Speaker 2:

A Banks County teacher and principal resigned after being caught having sex inside an elementary school. It happened in Banks County.

02:59:33 - 02:59:38 | Speaker 5:

Wait a second. Wait till you hear this. The guy was married, and wait to hear how kinky this thing got.

02:59:38 - 02:59:52 | Speaker 2:

Elementary in Homer, investigators say the principal and a P.E. teacher were having an affair, and the teacher's wife would film them together. The district says Dr. Dana Simmons and Dylan Charles are no longer with the district.

02:59:53 - 02:59:53 | Speaker 5:

Wow.

02:59:53 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 2:

The wife would film them. Is that amazing? Wow. That is craziness, and they were doing it.

03:00:00 - 03:00:12 | Speaker 3:

And one wonders if they were doing it just as filming, just as an affair, or if they were sending it in to one of the porn sites because the porn sites do amateur porn. So they were thinking that they were getting paid money for amateur porn.

03:00:12 - 03:00:17 | Speaker 5:

So was it an affair if the wife was filming, or was there another spouse that didn't know about it?

03:00:17 - 03:00:20 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I don't think maybe her husband knew about it.

03:00:21 - 03:00:26 | Speaker 5:

I mean, the crime, obviously, is filming on campus. You can't be recording that stuff at school.

03:00:26 - 03:01:34 | Speaker 3:

And the last story is a wild one, too. A couple returns home from a trip to find two people, impersonated them, and sold their house. Yes. The Canadian couple, the homeowners, left the country on a business trip. The two individuals who have yet to be identified hired a real estate agent and put their house on the market. They then sold the house and managed to take possession of the property through fake identification. Police added that several months after the sale, the actual homeowners learned their house had been sold without their consent. The man and the woman are both wanted for mortgage fraud in this case. So isn't that crazy that that could happen? You've got to, like, nowadays worry about somebody stealing your identity and just taking your credit. But could you imagine somebody taking your house and selling it? That's nuts. All right, have a great day. we will see you tomorrow if you miss the War of the Roses. We did a new thing with it, too. So instead of just having what would you write on your card, we actually said we'd do an audio greeting. That was pretty cool. I like that.

03:01:35 - 03:01:36 | Speaker 8:

A lot of people seem to like that, teams.

03:01:37 - 03:01:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And then the situation was wild, too, where he was lying about where he was during the last big snowstorm we had a couple weeks ago. Go check it out. You can watch. Watch. You can actually watch our stuff on social, but listen to our podcasts. Go get them on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get podcasts. We'll see you tomorrow.
