It's showtime! We'll be right back.

00:03:55 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 8:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. It is great to have you here. Like the ability to be able to get you to listen to this radio show by telling you War of the Roses is happening this morning. I know you are one of those that always wants to sit there and watch a train wreck happen. I mean, it is crazy how many times people will come up to me and they'll go, I just don't know if I necessarily like this thing that you guys do, this War of the Roses. But let me tell you the story about the one that I heard, you know. It's like, okay, I like it. This morning on the show, she thinks that her boyfriend is cheating with her roommate and best friend, and we had to do a three-way call on this one because we've got to hear what they sound like when they're talking to each other. So that will happen coming up at 740. You got to listen to the show 740 this morning. We'll have an opportunity for you for that. And then a bunch of other good stuff today on the show.

00:05:00 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 2:

A lot of good topics that are happening this morning on the Mojo in the Morning show. Megan with, they're dying, but I don't want to reach out. What should she do? Shannon with, the ladies of iHeartRadio are gross, and she has evidence. And then Kevin with, less than a man. It's all happening this morning here and the next first half of the Mojo in the Morning Show. So we give you a lot of content. It's so funny. I was listening yesterday. I was actually kind of scrolling around on the iHeartRadio app. We've got lots of great radio morning shows that work for iHeartRadio and are on this app. And I actually happened upon a podcast of a morning show. And I thought, oh, this is cool. This is their after show podcast. I looked at it and I'm like, you know what? I got some time. You know, it takes me about an hour or so to get home every single day driving, you know, down from west of Bloomfield. And so I popped the thing on, and their podcast was like an hour and 20 minutes long. And I'm like, okay, let's hear what they have to talk about, thinking it's like one of our More Mojo podcasts where we do the after show stuff, only to realize it was their show podcast. They did a four and a half hour show, and they only had an hour and 10 or 20 minutes worth of content on there. And I don't know, Zach, if you can tell me, maybe you can tell me, because I don't know exactly what our content level is, but I know that it's a hell of a lot more than that. Like, we do a four and a half hour show. Obviously, we have commercials that play during it. Very rarely do you hear a bunch of songs. Sometimes you do when I have to go potty. But three hours and 15 minutes, Zach says. Oh, my God. Three hours and 15 minutes. That's too much. We're giving you guys a lot of stuff. What? Yes, three hours and 15 minutes compared to an hour.

00:07:03 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 1:

Someone please tell me what the hell he just said.

00:07:06 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 2:

I cannot believe it. And I was blown away by that. And I'm realizing either we're giving too much content or this show that I was listening to is giving too little content. Do our listeners like that we give them that much content? I think so. I mean, people are listening to it. They do? Yeah. Oh, my God. It's probably somewhere in the middle. You wanted somewhere? Yeah, we're a little too much. So it should probably be half of that, maybe two hours. Yeah, somewhere around there. You know, I never really thought about it that way. You know, that actually probably is the truth. Usually everything is. The truth is always somewhere in the middle, right? Is that what they always just say? But no, but it was interesting. I'm listening to it going, wow, this is pretty crazy. This is all that they got? And, you know, half the time it was, you know, contests that were being played on there. Like I'm listening to them, you know, play goofy contests like the five in one game or something, you know, not to like try to sound like we're that show.

00:07:58 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 1:

But I think the proof is in the pudding. I think sometimes people care less about their listeners and it's more about just getting the task done. So if they have a show, let's do everything. Check it off the list. Exactly. It's a checklist. Let's just do what we got to do and get out of here. But, you know, we here for a bigger purpose.

00:08:14 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 2:

Well, my hope is, and I never go into any thing that we're going to talk about and say, well, we'll do this in a five-minute little segment. Like, you know, I never do it like that. I always say this segment's either going to be two minutes long or it's going to be 22 minutes long. And the truth is, look at some of the segments on our podcast because it usually works that way. Because sometimes it's just so good I don't want to get out of it. You know what I mean? Like, I'll be quite honest with you. I compare everything to sex. If sex could be longer than two minutes for me, I would go all day, right? You got five minutes in you, at least. I don't think so. Maybe as I got older. As I got older, maybe I did. Taking testosterone does help a little bit. See if you can last a spot block. Okay, let's see. If I can do it. Actually, that's what I'll do. I'll start at the start of a spot block, see if I can go a spot block.

00:09:06 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 1:

Can you imagine you and Chelsea just laying there listening, and then all of a sudden you're like, go, go, go, go.

00:09:10 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 2:

No, there's no way Chelsea, by the way, would partake in any of that stuff. Can I tell you, speaking of length, when I mean by this, so we drove to Chicago to go visit Jacob, and we just recently did the drive on Friday, and then we did it back on Sunday. You want to hear the difference in driving with me on a Friday after the show's over with and then driving with me on a Sunday when I'm trying to get home for the Super Bowl? Friday, the drive took us more than six hours.

00:09:42 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 1:

To get to Chicago?

00:09:43 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 2:

To get to Chicago, which is, by the way, not a six-hour drive. It is probably a four-and-a-half-hour drive or maybe five-hour if you leave at a time when there's the afternoon rush hour traffic getting into Chicago, like that 290 traffic. goes in there on the way home we got back in four hours and 12 minutes and here's the reason why and i don't know if you guys are bad road trippers but chelsea actually wanted to kick me out of the car i had to go pee a whole bunch of times so i think we stopped like three times like i was the kid in the back seat you remember you know how you ever go on a road trip with your kids i gotta go pee

00:10:22 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 4:

we just stopped and went pee i know but i didn't go pee there's a starbucks we've had starbucks six

00:10:27 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 2:

times on this road trip hunger is a totally different thing because wait till you hear how many times i stopped for hunger oh no so we stopped three times to go pee then we stopped three times for food i have to always stop at the zeb road starbucks i love the zeb road starbucks anybody anybody that's out in ann arbor there i because i take could i take m14 to uh to 94 and i go m14 to 94 and as soon as i get on the 94 there's the first exit is zeb road I get off at Zebra Road. They've got the best Starbucks there. They have great people working. They're very nice people. And I like to go, and I like to get myself a coffee to start my journey.

00:11:05 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 3:

No. Wrong. You're doing this whole thing wrong.

00:11:08 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 2:

Well, you tell me how to do it after I finish telling you that the next stop we do after that is McDonald's for a large fry. Like, we need to get a large fry to eat. And then we wrap it all up at the end by stopping off and either getting a Taco Bell or a Culver's.

00:11:25 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 3:

That's terrible.

00:11:25 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 2:

Just before we get to Chicago. And then this trip, I even did a car wash. Chelsea's like, why are you washing your car? And I'm like, well, because I don't want to drive into Chicago and go to Jake's place and have Jacob say, man, your car looks dirty. So I ended up stopping off. And the car wash we went to is one of those ones where you pull in and the garage doors close down behind you and the thing just spins around you and starts cleaning your car. And it takes forever. It literally, I thought we were trapped inside of the damn thing. At one point, Chelsea goes, does it normally take this long? I'm like, no, no, no, no. No, it's good. It's about the same thing. And I'm panicking. My sweat's going out. It's starting to get to a point where I'm like, oh, my God, I think we're trapped in here. I don't know how we're going to get out of this thing. But, Megan, how do I do it right? Tell me. You say I'm doing it wrong. Tell me how to do it right.

00:12:07 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 3:

First, you have to stop for road trip snacks before you hit the road. That's got to be the first stop. Second thing is, I don't know why Michigan is like this, but you don't get another Starbucks until you hit the other side of the state. So you got to go down to Ohio and then cross through Indiana and go to Illinois that way. Oh, that's too far out of my way. No, it's not.

00:12:26 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 2:

You're right. It used to be there was only like two Starbucks along the whole way. For some reason, I think we've opened up a couple more.

00:12:32 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Well, it's been a minute since I've been to Chicago, you know, October. So unless they opened them up in the past four months.

00:12:39 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 2:

You're right. No, it was like that, though. Seriously, you're right with that. It was honestly one of the most annoying things ever that we didn't have. We only had the Zebra Road Starbucks and maybe Battle Creek Starbucks. And that was it.

00:12:50 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 3:

But you have to get all of the snacks. You have to have a passenger seat. Well, I drive by myself to Chicago.

00:12:55 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 2:

full of snacks oh yeah well i like that too we my favorite is to stop off at uh do we have any truckers that are listening to the show i like to stop off at what's the truck what's the truck stop

00:13:05 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 3:

that's like halfway uh there the pilot uh pilot yes pilot i love pilots which is the cleanest

00:13:12 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 2:

bathrooms which by the way i'm pissed off at the local communities here like farmington hills and livonia and stuff are fighting that big truck stop that's trying to come here to town the one with the restaurant that's in it sheets sheets why are we fighting sheets dude sheets is the best okay so

00:13:28 - 00:13:32 | Speaker 4:

but the one that got that got declined or shut down or whatever it was like legit in the middle

00:13:32 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 2:

of a neighborhood radio station why do you care come on you'll have somewhere to go if you guys run out of food or drink or or gas it's not they always say it brings the uh unsettling kind that's what they say they think it brings like people in the middle of the night that are going to cause problems. I'd rather have somebody in the middle of the night hanging out there watching the people that are the criminals in the middle of the night trying to criminalize you, you know? More lizards. Yeah. Barb has a suggestion for me to stop some of the stops. Chelsea would probably be listening to this, Barb. What is it?

00:14:08 - 00:14:21 | Speaker 1:

Get a pee jug. We clean out orange juice jugs and we put them in the truck and I go, here's your perfect pee jug next time we travel. I need to take a pee pee. Really?

00:14:22 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 2:

So you or whoever's with you will pee in the pee jug along a road trip?

00:14:29 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 1:

My husband does because he's diabetic, and he has to use the bathroom so many times. And he takes this big thing to drink, like this big utility cup. I'm like, why are you drinking all this stuff? He goes, well, because I'm always thirsty. So he's always thirsty, and he always has to pee. I'm like, here, here's an orange juice jug.

00:14:48 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:14:49 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 1:

I'm trying to stop it.

00:14:50 - 00:14:57 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing. You know what? I don't know if I got good aim. That would be on the front seat. Billy, what's up, Billy?

00:14:58 - 00:15:14 | Speaker 1:

Not much as a gator, man. this is uh this is our one of our uh trucker buddies uh so hey tell me no uh tell me give me some advice on uh on you know driving making my drive

00:15:14 - 00:15:19 | Speaker 2:

the best truck stops you're gonna find are loves they're cleanest the nicest the most

00:15:19 - 00:15:41 | Speaker 1:

okay okay so loves loves is where i want to stick my booty on that's the that's the place to stop that is it better than sheets which by the way how great is that sheets is so close to you know what like that name that is like so great i gotta pull off to take a sheets love is actually a good one though my favorite is to go shopping too when i go to truck stops

00:15:41 - 00:15:45 | Speaker 2:

you guys ever do that at all i don't stop yeah i still have never been to excuse me

00:15:45 - 00:15:54 | Speaker 1:

and i want to go to a bucky's so bad mike used to uh do christmas shopping for me all the time at Truckstops. What's up, Lori?

00:15:54 - 00:15:58 | Speaker 5:

How you doing? Hey, Mojo. Good morning. How's everyone doing? We're great.

00:15:58 - 00:15:59 | Speaker 1:

What's happening? Well,

00:16:00 - 00:16:30 | Speaker 5:

first-time caller. Hey! He's on the phone. Of course, of course. Hey, I live down here in Northwest Ohio and Toledo. I have three of them. Three sheets? Within a mile and a half, yes. And a mile and a half down here. Yep, there's one going in on Central Avenue where all the dealerships are. There's one going on Savannah and McCord, and then there's one at McCord and Door Street. Yeah, but there's one on the trail in Maumee, too. Somebody,

00:16:30 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 1:

by the way, somebody just, Trucker Kenny just texted and said, Bacon Bombs at Sheetz are the best. Have you tried it?

00:16:36 - 00:16:40 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I have. They're very good. I've had a lot of foods. I love their burgers.

00:16:40 - 00:17:16 | Speaker 1:

They're really good. See, this is the thing. Why is Livonia saying no to this? Farmington, whatever it is. Why are people saying no to this bring on sheets you know what you could put one in my neighborhood in west bloomfield i'd take one we'll get rid of a couple neighbors homes i would love to have sheets there i love sheets uh what's up jay how you doing buddy hello what's up are you a trucker hey yeah um i carry a empty gallon jug with me so i just pee in that oh okay so you're like really and you never have to stop

00:17:16 - 00:17:22 | Speaker 5:

No, if I'm, like, running real behind, I'll grab an empty Gary bottle and go while I'm driving.

00:17:22 - 00:17:34 | Speaker 1:

So no wonder why you guys are able to do that whole over-the-road thing. By the way, it would seem weird to me, like, I'm sticking my wiener inside of an empty water jug. Plus, what happens if you mistake the empty water jug for the full water jug?

00:17:36 - 00:17:38 | Speaker 5:

Uh, I guess you dump it out.

00:17:38 - 00:17:44 | Speaker 1:

I don't have a boat. Not good. King of the hills. Speaking of this, all this talk about this makes me have to go to the bathroom. We've got to take a break. We'll be right back.

00:17:44 - 00:17:50 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the Mornings, back in the day. Let's go! Back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:17:50 - 00:18:01 | Speaker 1:

All right, all happened in the same year. What year was this? This was the year that President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump got married. Do you look forward to possibly being a father?

00:18:01 - 00:18:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think it's great. Look, the way I look at it, there's nothing like a good marriage, and there's nothing like having children. I have four great children. If you have the money, having children is great.

00:18:13 - 00:18:17 | Speaker 1:

Now, guess who starring Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher came out this year?

00:18:17 - 00:18:29 | Speaker 3:

I asked her what she liked about you the most, right? She said, she says, I just love her cute little lappy little head. Your grandmother, where'd she live? Brooklyn. Why?

00:18:30 - 00:18:33 | Speaker 2:

I just want to know how far I'd have to travel to kick a whole white ass.

00:18:34 - 00:18:47 | Speaker 1:

And the big song. It was from Mariah Carey. Wow, this is going back. What year was it? We'll set you up with a prize. We got tickets to see Kendrick Lamar and SZA coming up after we grab the winner for the Back in the Day. Good luck.

00:18:49 - 00:18:56 | Speaker 4:

In what year did that crap happen? Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548.

00:18:57 - 00:19:13 | Speaker 1:

Back to the podcast in a second. But you can get everything that you need to start off your new year for just $15 a month when you get to Planet Fitness. Go and join for $1 down, $15 a month. Get into Planet Fitness today.

00:19:13 - 00:19:17 | Speaker 4:

Disponential in the mornings back in the day. What year was this?

00:19:17 - 00:19:25 | Speaker 1:

All right, it was the year that Donald Trump, President Donald Trump, got married to the first lady, Melania Trump. Do you look forward to possibly being a partner?

00:19:25 - 00:19:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think it's great. Look, the way I look at it, there's nothing like a good marriage, and there's nothing like having children. I have four great children. If you have the money, having children is great. Now, I know Melania. I'm not going to be doing the diapers. I'm not going to be making the food. I may never even see the kids, frankly. Okay?

00:19:43 - 00:19:43 | Speaker 5:

No, y'all.

00:19:43 - 00:19:49 | Speaker 2:

No. She will be an unbelievable mother. I'll be a good father, but I'll be, you know, doing my deals.

00:19:50 - 00:19:54 | Speaker 1:

Guess who starring Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher came out?

00:19:54 - 00:19:57 | Speaker 3:

I asked her what she liked about you the most, right?

00:19:57 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 1:

She said, she says.

00:20:00 - 00:20:02 | Speaker 2:

I just love her cute little nappy little head.

00:20:04 - 00:20:25 | Speaker 6:

Your grandmother, where'd she live? Brooklyn. Why? I just want to know how far I'd have to travel to kick a whole white ass. And the big song. Shake it off for Mariah Carey, who's getting an Icon Award at our iHeartRadio Music Awards this year. Okay, Mariah. And let's see if Mark's got it. Mark, what year was that?

00:20:26 - 00:20:31 | Speaker 5:

Hey, that was 2005. Yes, it was. Congratulations, Mark.

00:20:32 - 00:20:42 | Speaker 6:

Mark, we're setting you up with a prize. We got tickets to go see Foster the People coming to the Fillmore on February the 17th. So on Monday night, congratulations to you, man.

00:20:44 - 00:20:45 | Speaker 5:

Awesome. Thank you. Thank you.

00:20:45 - 00:20:49 | Speaker 6:

Thank you for listening. I appreciate it. You ready for this big snowstorm that's coming our way?

00:20:50 - 00:20:58 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah. I'm always ready. You know, I'm the guy that does like on my elderly neighbor's snow. So I'm fired up for it. What a guy.

00:20:58 - 00:21:05 | Speaker 6:

That's a nice guy here. Listen, I'm 54 years old. I consider myself elderly. Will you come over to my neighborhood?

00:21:05 - 00:21:09 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, man. Let's go. I'll come do your snow mojo.

00:21:09 - 00:21:52 | Speaker 6:

All right. Thanks, Mark. You're a good guy, man. I love our listeners. Hang on one sec. We'll get you your prize. Your chance to win tickets to go see Super Bowl performing. Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick and SZA are going to be at Ford Field in June. Text MUSTARD to 95500. That's MUSTARD to 95500. Did Kendrick do MUSTARD? Yeah, and Mustard came out. Yes, okay. You really didn't watch, huh? I did watch, but I don't know. I don't know. I sat there the whole time going to myself, going, is Kev going to be right that this was a great performance or not? And survey says? A lot of people loved it, so I think you're right on that one. Text Mustard to 95500, standard text, and data rates do apply.

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:21:56 - 00:22:04 | Speaker 6:

All right, let's get to the Dirty on the 30. We've got the 5 at 655 coming up here in just a little bit. Will Nick be our winner again? We'll find out. And maybe Shannon might have a question or two from this dirty. What's going on?

00:22:05 - 00:22:31 | Speaker 2:

So we heard about this yesterday. We were talking about it in our group chat, but I didn't realize there was a celebrity involved. If you heard about this plane crash in Arizona, a private jet owned by Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil veered off the runway at a Scottsdale airport and crashed into another plane yesterday, leaving the pilot dead and several others hospitalized. Now, he was not on the plane, but his girlfriend and one of her friends was.

00:22:31 - 00:22:44 | Speaker 4:

It happened just after 2.30 Monday afternoon. A small Learjet arriving from Austin veered off the runway as it touched down in Scottsdale, Arizona. The out-of-control aircraft slamming into a parked Gulfstream that was parked just off the runway.

00:22:45 - 00:22:49 | Speaker 1:

It appears that the left main gear failed upon landing, resulting in the accident.

00:22:50 - 00:23:54 | Speaker 4:

Emergency crews reaching the scene in less than a minute. Officials say one person was pronounced dead on arrival. Two others were immediately taken to local hospitals, one of them in critical condition. But one passenger was trapped in the wreckage, crews working for hours to free them, eventually managing to get them out. They were taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The Learjet is registered to a company owned by Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil. The rock star was not on the plane, but TMZ reports his girlfriend was and broke five ribs. She is recovering in the hospital along with a friend she was traveling with. TMZ also says they were traveling with dogs who survived. Authorities have not released the name of the person killed or the other survivors. Two pilots were operating the Learjet at the time of the crash. A lawyer for Neil saying Mr. Neil's thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today the ntsb is now investigating yeah the band

00:23:54 - 00:23:58 | Speaker 2:

said they will be involved in all of the efforts to help the family of the pilot that was killed

00:23:58 - 00:24:03 | Speaker 6:

in that crash the video is crazy it just looks like they had no breaks or something huh it's

00:24:03 - 00:24:41 | Speaker 2:

kind of what happened came in strong jeez yeah hey beyonce has expanded her cowboy carter tour for this year she initially announced just a handful of cities that she was going to be visiting including la chicago new york london paris houston atlanta dc and vegas so the addition of five fresh stadium dates if you're going oh please let it be detroit it's not it's basically just more concerts in the cities that she was already going to be in so now she'll be in london for six nights three nights now booked in chicago paris and atlanta general tickets by the way go

00:24:41 - 00:24:47 | Speaker 3:

on sale on friday let me tell you go ahead this is the harry styles yeah trend and i don't like it

00:24:47 - 00:24:53 | Speaker 6:

just go into the cities here's the thing well concert tickets are already insane at this point

00:24:53 - 00:25:29 | Speaker 3:

now i need travel expenses and hotel nights like y'all are asking too much beyonce yeah i can't this yeah before luka donchich made his debut with his new team the la lakers last night lebron james had a message to deliver he said luka be your effing self during the pre-game huddle which was overheard by espn he continued don't fit in fit the f out be yourself and luka obviously a little nervous to take the court in front of the sold out crowd at crypto.com arena special uh the

00:25:29 - 00:25:40 | Speaker 1:

way they received me everybody uh it was amazing to see uh i was a little nervous before uh i remember once the last time i was nervous before the game so uh but once i step on the court it was it was

00:25:40 - 00:25:54 | Speaker 3:

fun and just being out there again felt amazing scored 14 points in 24 minutes booked a 132 to 113 win over the utah jazz spanked that ass last night and did you see that uh antonio davis who

00:25:54 - 00:26:23 | Speaker 5:

he was traded for is injured or Anthony Davis is uh I call him Antonio because of we're close relatives uh no he he's out for weeks they're saying yeah he's got an abductor injury he's got a muscle strain which it was amazing because he had like the greatest first half yeah I think it was the first half right that was great he went off and then he hurt himself on a non-contact play he was basically just moving his legs and all of a sudden his muscle I guess and his leg

00:26:23 - 00:26:56 | Speaker 4:

gave out. But look, Luka Doncic's the energy and crypto arena last night, formerly known as the Staples Center. You can feel it through the television. They had number 77 t-shirts, which is Luka's numbers on every single chair in the arena. You can see the people show up an hour and a half before they actually tip off to watch him shoot around. It felt like it was a moment where it was like when LeBron went there. Bruh, it was insane. And you can see that this is the future of the Lakers. It was weird. It was like, this This is the best player that LeBron has ever played with. Championship in the way.

00:26:56 - 00:27:21 | Speaker 5:

And the Dallas Mavericks general manager has to have security with him because he's been getting death threats. And there's been rumors that the reason that the Mavs traded him was that the Mavs might move to Las Vegas. So now people in Dallas are freaking out. Yeah, there's a rumor that there's going to be a Vegas NBA team and the Dallas Mavericks ownership has a lot of ownership in Las Vegas. But they say no, that's not the case. It's interesting.

00:27:21 - 00:28:02 | Speaker 3:

And have you guys been to the grocery store to buy eggs? Dog, I went yesterday. It was $7. Okay, not even that. At least they were there. I went to three grocery stores the other day before I finally actually found somewhere that had eggs on the fourth try. Well, here's the deal with that. Grocery stores are now enforcing limits on fresh eggs as the bird flu continues to impact egg production across the country. So I know Trader Joe's is doing this. You can only buy one dozen per customer per day. If you have sprouts, they're doing the same thing. Costco has also implemented purchase limits on fresh eggs. So just a heads up. It's crazy.

00:28:02 - 00:28:05 | Speaker 5:

And we thought Tony Travato was nuts for buying a bunch of chickens. I know, right?

00:28:06 - 00:28:20 | Speaker 3:

I've got so many eggs. I'm willing to pay like a local farmer for their eggs. Tony will give them to you for free. Really? Yeah. Okay. Tony, if you still want cookies. For all of today's Dirty Ketchup on the podcast, on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

00:28:20 - 00:28:41 | Speaker 6:

Go! Celebrity jerked. Directly from the source. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Ever notice how the TV stations make it sound like the snowstorm is going to swallow us up? It's the snowpocalypse. Deadly flakes falling on the Midwest.

00:28:42 - 00:29:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and we'll have more on the big snow that's about to come our way. It's caused for us all to be kind of fearful of what's happening. They're saying now it was like two to four inches. Now they're saying it could be upwards of eight inches of snow hitting some parts of our listening areas. So get ready for that.

00:29:01 - 00:29:04 | Speaker 3:

And then sleep after that. It's going to be really icky.

00:29:04 - 00:29:11 | Speaker 4:

They're closing schools, man. Be ready. Are you? I guarantee you. I know the text message is going to be coming.

00:29:11 - 00:29:17 | Speaker 5:

I've put every spoon underneath all of my pillows. What does that mean? That's an old wise tale.

00:29:17 - 00:29:18 | Speaker 4:

No, what's that?

00:29:18 - 00:29:25 | Speaker 5:

You would put your spoons underneath your pillow, and for some reason, it pissed off your mom and got you a snow day.

00:29:25 - 00:29:29 | Speaker 6:

I have no idea what that was. It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55.

00:29:30 - 00:29:34 | Speaker 2:

00:32:32 - 00:32:34 | Speaker 2:

werewolf

00:32:34 - 00:33:27 | Speaker 1:

yeah yeah one to one question number two this is kind of a surprise the booking.com commercial featuring Kermit the Frog and his fellow Muppet character who used to be in a relationship with him was the most watched during the Super Bowl what's that Muppet character's name that he used to be in a relationship with Miss Tiggy yeah two to two how did they figure that that one was the I think it's all about timing though of where to you know yeah that was a guy If he gets any one of these remaining three right, he will win with at least a tie. Question number three. Drake was on stage venting about his exes just hours before two of them appeared on stage alongside Kendrick Lamar at the halftime show. SZA was one of them. Who was the other? 30 seconds. Pass. Really? Serena Williams?

00:33:27 - 00:33:28 | Speaker 2:

Two to three.

00:33:28 - 00:33:52 | Speaker 1:

Serena Williams was doing the crip walk at the Super Bowl. All right. Again, we've got to get this next one. And this, by the way, this next question, Sarah had almost and then mispronounced. Question number four. Rumor has it that the QB for the Philadelphia Eagles lives in a $2,000 a month rental despite making $255 million with a contract. Who is he?

00:33:54 - 00:33:54 | Speaker 2:

Jalen Hurts.

00:33:55 - 00:33:55 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

00:33:56 - 00:33:56 | Speaker 2:

Three to three.

00:33:57 - 00:34:14 | Speaker 1:

Jalen Hurts. What did she say? Jason. And last question to get a clean win. Gigi Hadid shared some new photos of her daughter, Kai. Who is Kai's famous One Direction daddy? Zayn Malik. You got it.

00:34:14 - 00:34:15 | Speaker 2:

Four to three. Final score.

00:34:17 - 00:34:29 | Speaker 1:

Now I don't feel so bad for you, Sarah. He would have won anyway. Congratulations to you, Nick. Nick, nice job, man. He just keeps rolling along. He's got a sixth win. We'll be back tomorrow for seven, okay?

00:34:30 - 00:34:31 | Speaker 2:

00:35:10 - 00:35:12 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55.

00:35:14 - 00:35:35 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Mornings show. This is going to be an interesting conversation here because I want to hear more from Megan on this, but I want to see what the listeners think. Should Megan reach out to the dying man, right? Dying man or woman? Person. Okay. Dying person. Person. We don't want to get specific. Okay. I just want to make sure.

00:35:37 - 00:36:17 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, Megan? Hi. So there is somebody who I have met all of maybe four times in my life, right? And this person is nearing the end of their life and has reached out wanting to spend time together and I'm in a very awkward place of like I don't really want to I know that sounds bad but this is essentially a stranger and I don't know if I want to go through whatever this person wants to go through before they pass so just to be clear this isn't like a

00:36:17 - 00:36:33 | Speaker 2:

family member like a like a great great grandma that you've only am I asking too much information It's fine. Okay. I just didn't know if it was like a listener who you met at several events and don't know that well.

00:36:33 - 00:36:35 | Speaker 1:

No, it's a family member who I've only met like four times.

00:36:36 - 00:36:36 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:36:37 - 00:36:38 | Speaker 1:

So not a great relationship, obviously.

00:36:39 - 00:36:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but all of a sudden just wants to like clear the air on something.

00:36:43 - 00:36:44 | Speaker 1:

I'm guessing.

00:36:45 - 00:36:46 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's tough.

00:36:46 - 00:36:59 | Speaker 1:

I know, and it makes me feel like a bad person for wanting, like to not want to do this. But also, I don't feel like it's my responsibility. But then I feel like it makes me the a-hole. Like, I feel like I'm really stuck here.

00:36:59 - 00:37:16 | Speaker 4:

This is almost an am I the a-hole that you'd feel that way. Because to me, instantly when I found out that they're dying and put myself in this, even if I didn't know them, I would be like, man, I, you know, if I could make their last days be happier and well, you know what I mean?

00:37:16 - 00:37:17 | Speaker 1:

Not everybody.

00:37:17 - 00:37:18 | Speaker 4:

Not everybody.

00:37:18 - 00:37:28 | Speaker 1:

Deserves that. I'm out. i'm sorry but like is that really my responsibility wait a second is this this isn't somebody like

00:37:28 - 00:37:33 | Speaker 4:

your your mom or anything is it or no somebody because i she's not trying to don't pry i know

00:37:33 - 00:37:38 | Speaker 1:

but i'm asking this question because i know i volunteer the information if i want to do there's

00:37:38 - 00:38:02 | Speaker 4:

only one listen for those that think that megan you know uh you know made dislike me on that list with her mom i don't think that that's the case but if it were me dying i would want to see you Even though, like, I would want to see it But when you don't want to do something It usually has to do with There's, like, one person in your life that has been Not great But it makes me sad, though That this person is dying

00:38:02 - 00:38:17 | Speaker 3:

I mean, people die every day So my thing is If the person wasn't dying Would they be trying to reach out and make amends? Correct Just because you're dying Don't make me feel all sympathetic And now you want to have this come-to-Jesus moment Because you're about to die

00:38:17 - 00:38:40 | Speaker 2:

now you want to be my friend and say you sorry instantly my reaction would be like yes of course just you know like mojo said this is the end of their life if they're trying to get something off their chest okay but i can think of a former family member of mine who like i'm trying to put myself in your shoes who was is a terrible human being and if i got that phone call i don't think

00:38:40 - 00:38:55 | Speaker 1:

i would i would go or reciprocate or anything so right and i know i know that they're related to me but like like truly four times in my life for less than a couple like collectively i've maybe

00:38:55 - 00:39:11 | Speaker 3:

spent 10 hours with this person i would you know what i mean i would go though if if i felt like oh because it's all about my spirit it ain't about them at the end of the day and if you feel like there's a piece of you that would feel good that you did it then that's enough to do it not even

00:39:11 - 00:39:18 | Speaker 1:

for now if there's anything in it for me oh samantha i mean i know that sounds bad but like

00:39:18 - 00:39:25 | Speaker 4:

it is a stranger samantha you have a very interesting perspective on this one what's

00:39:25 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 1:

tell everybody i work in hospice so megan if you never listen to anything anyone ever says listen to this do not disturb your current peace because someone has resentment from their past wow oh my god does that hit you so it's funny that you call because essentially this whole thing stemmed from i have a lot of loved ones who work in hospice and they were all on the side of like it's not you don't like don't like it never turns out well no just you know what whatever they have to say

00:40:00 - 00:40:07 | Speaker 3:

Let him take it with them where they're going and just be at peace. If they wanted you in their life, they could have done this sooner.

00:40:08 - 00:40:14 | Speaker 1:

Is this a common thing when people are dying, they reach out to people that they have had strained relationships with?

00:40:15 - 00:40:18 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, kind of, but like Megan said, it never ends well.

00:40:19 - 00:40:26 | Speaker 1:

Interesting. How does it usually end? What does it end with? The person that is the Megan in this situation having more struggles?

00:40:26 - 00:40:32 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Yes. they're upset and it bothers them for I mean I know people still dealing with things that they

00:40:32 - 00:40:42 | Speaker 1:

were told when someone was passing so yeah interesting uh interesting perspective I really appreciate that's a great first call to have on this one Nikki what's up it's Mojo in the morning

00:40:42 - 00:41:06 | Speaker 2:

hi hey Megan I just wanted to say you definitely are not the a-hole um my dad has been dying of cancer and I have not gone and seen him because of the things he has done obviously that situation is a little different than yours, but, you know, they don't deserve the peace that they caused us

00:41:06 - 00:41:17 | Speaker 1:

pain. Do you think that if your dad dies, you will not have told him the things that you've wanted to tell him though? Like, and I'm not saying good things. Sometimes you need to say

00:41:17 - 00:41:45 | Speaker 2:

bad things to him i have said my piece to him um and i was nice enough that two years ago when my daughter was born i did let him meet her and he doesn't even remember that that is how his downfall of his life has been because of the drugs and alcohol he has chosen oh wow that's sad

00:41:45 - 00:42:03 | Speaker 1:

Well, thank you for that perspective, though. That's an interesting, a lot of good comments on this one. What's up? How you doing, Mallory? It's Mojo in the Morning. You heard the story that Megan just said? Somebody that she really hasn't had a relationship with, nor probably does want to have a relationship with, has called her because they're dying?

00:42:05 - 00:42:26 | Speaker 4:

I assume that the person is older than her. And my sister and I struggle with this with our dad's family. My theory on it always is you're the child. The child deserves to be reached out to. And if they didn't reach out to you along the lines, then they don't need to be reaching out to you now because they're only trying to make themselves feel better.

00:42:28 - 00:42:33 | Speaker 1:

All right. Kelsey has a question to ask you, Megan. What's that, Kelsey?

00:42:35 - 00:42:39 | Speaker 4:

Megan, what does your dad say? Like, have you talked to him about it?

00:42:40 - 00:43:24 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I love my father. I have the best dad in the whole world. And if you don't know, my parents had a super rocky relationship growing up and that had a huge effect on me. And my dad was never the kind of person to ever tell me what to do and always said, whatever your decision is, I support it completely. However you want to spend your time, whoever you want to talk to, like that does not affect my relationship with you at all. He has always been that rock in my life. And so he's taken the same stance here Of, like, you can go and I support you or you cannot go and I will not judge you. So, while that is the best option for a parent, it's also selfishly the worst answer, too. Because I'm just, like, tell me what to do.

00:43:24 - 00:43:26 | Speaker 1:

What do you think your dad would do, knowing your dad?

00:43:29 - 00:43:33 | Speaker 5:

I don't think my dad would go.

00:43:33 - 00:43:34 | Speaker 1:

No? What about your brother?

00:43:34 - 00:43:37 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my brother wouldn't go. My brother wouldn't even think twice about this.

00:43:38 - 00:43:38 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

00:43:39 - 00:43:53 | Speaker 5:

The fact that I'm even kind of thinking about it really shows the differences in all of our family, like, members, because, like, my brother won't take the call. You know what I mean? Like, he won't read the text message saying I'd like to see you.

00:43:53 - 00:43:55 | Speaker 1:

Oh, he won't even read the text message? You know what I mean?

00:43:55 - 00:44:20 | Speaker 5:

No. Like, it's not. He's moved on and, like, is so over that part of his life. I'm actually surprised you took the call or the text message. I know, but I feel a weird sense of obligation until the actual moment of action pops up. And action being like, book's a trip, get ready to go, whatever it is. And then I'm like, this is not my responsibility.

00:44:21 - 00:44:22 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you got to go somewhere?

00:44:22 - 00:44:22 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:44:23 - 00:44:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh, hell no.

00:44:24 - 00:44:29 | Speaker 1:

You got to spend money? That changes it all.

00:44:30 - 00:44:34 | Speaker 5:

That changes everything. Does that change everything? Hell yeah. It's not like a job.

00:44:34 - 00:44:52 | Speaker 1:

I don't know sometimes if they're right next door, it means just the same, you know? Well, you know what? You got some good advice. There's some great advice from these callers that we just had. I think the first call was the most because they've dealt with this numerous times.

00:44:52 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 5:

When you get the hell out of Dodge, we got the plane and the tickets to go to Florida with Mojo in the Morning.

00:44:59 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 1:

Listen to 730.

00:45:00 - 00:45:19 | Speaker 2:

to get in on mojo in the morning i have always wanted to ask this question who are dirtier men or women because here at our radio station it seems to me that there's more complaints about the women's restroom than there is about the men's and shannon wants to make one right now

00:45:19 - 00:46:44 | Speaker 3:

what's going on shannon if we could even go into the women's restroom because i would say 40 of the time we cannot i don't know what it is about the women who work at the lovely iheartmedia detroit they are nasty and i'm one of them by the way nasty you like i came in was it yesterday yeah i really had to go to the bathroom and i'm like well can't go to the bathroom again today because both of the toilets are clogged and the problem is people still flushing pads and tampons which you learn when you're 12 years old and you start your period that you are not supposed to do that we've already had an issue with that here to the point where our building manager who is a guy had to go in and put a big sign that says feminine product disposal in the little silver thing on the side of the stall where we all know that's where that stuff is supposed to go but like the pee everywhere the the plugged the plugged toilet you know if you left something in the toilet that potentially has a chance of flushing but you just left it there because you're lazy and wanted to book it from the bathroom because you didn't want everybody to know that you pooped the blood on the toilet seats and the floor lydia come on it is absolutely disgusting i please back me up here

00:46:44 - 00:46:53 | Speaker 2:

it's a crime scene in there it's really vile and i don't understand though because like there's

00:46:53 - 00:47:02 | Speaker 4:

nobody in this building yet we're the first tenants in this building so it's got somebody in this radio company but it wasn't like this at our old building no like i don't know what the

00:47:02 - 00:47:31 | Speaker 3:

transition it's the people we didn't work with there i will point around when i went in there the other day and there was blood i know i saw you you turn around you know you did that but like this is why i say sit down i hate to get back to this but like sit down no that's somebody who sat down had an issue got up continued on the floor and just was like yeah somebody else will get it

00:47:31 - 00:47:40 | Speaker 4:

what is going on i also cannot imagine that that many tampons have been flushed that consistently for this to be a problem every single day.

00:47:40 - 00:47:44 | Speaker 3:

How do you not know that you're not supposed to flush them? You think it's a bad plumbing system or something?

00:47:45 - 00:48:02 | Speaker 4:

I do. Truly, not everybody is taught that. That, but it's like a one kind of warning deal. Once you go somewhere and they're like, hey, stop doing that. Okay, stop doing that. But if it's still a problem literally every single day, how is it a problem every day? There's no way somebody's flushing 100 tampons a day.

00:48:02 - 00:48:03 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Will?

00:48:03 - 00:48:04 | Speaker 4:

Let the poop.

00:48:04 - 00:48:06 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, Mojo? Let the poop.

00:48:06 - 00:48:13 | Speaker 2:

Will, do you want to take a tour of the iHeartRadio Detroit bathrooms? I think we should go to the women's first.

00:48:14 - 00:48:18 | Speaker 1:

No, listen. First, let me say this. First time. Oh, I'm sorry.

00:48:19 - 00:48:21 | Speaker 3:

I'm sorry. You're calling in for this topic.

00:48:22 - 00:49:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. And so now, and what a topic for me to call in on. So I have a cleaning company. And one thing, the guys who work for me, we hate cleaning the women's bathroom. I don't know if it was Shannon or Megan who mentioned the sanitary napkin dispenser. Let me tell you what the women would do. We keep waste bags in there, wax bags, and they would still not even open them up. They just drop them in there, drop them in there, to the point we have to disconnect it off the wall, dump the whole thing in the garbage, rinse it out, so it won't smell like a seafood boil. Oh, my seafood boil. I don't get it When I say women are the most Prettiest creatures on the earth But the most nastiest creatures from hell I don't get it

00:49:11 - 00:49:22 | Speaker 2:

Oh my god This is the greatest It is so disgusting By the way, you might be the funniest phone call Of the day This is the greatest one

00:49:22 - 00:49:25 | Speaker 3:

And the sink

00:49:25 - 00:49:26 | Speaker 2:

The sink too

00:49:26 - 00:49:34 | Speaker 3:

It's like somebody took a cup of water and just like dumped it everywhere all over the place how do you the whole place is wild

00:49:34 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 2:

i just love by the way because usually it's me complaining about the lack thereof of places for us to go to the bathroom in this building but now i hear that there's a full-on you know let's put police tape crime scene happening right next door what's up luna how you doing hey good morning everyone good morning what's happening we're learning that the i heart uh bathrooms the Women's bathrooms are pretty.

00:50:00 - 00:50:12 | Speaker 4:

nasty here what's up luna well i work in a doctor's office we had to evacuate because so many people flushed underwear and backed the system up and the sewer was flooded the whole

00:50:12 - 00:50:25 | Speaker 6:

first floor maybe that's what's happening why are they flushing their underwear explain that to me like that to me is weird is there some kind of a underwear thing going on oh maybe they come

00:50:25 - 00:50:29 | Speaker 4:

It get checked, and then they just throw it out afterwards.

00:50:29 - 00:50:33 | Speaker 6:

Interesting. So is there an OB in that building? Is that where you're at?

00:50:34 - 00:50:38 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, there's a couple of different lady doctors here.

00:50:38 - 00:50:48 | Speaker 6:

But why would the women flush their underwear thinking that it's normal to do? If they're going to throw it away, just do what these guys have, like throw it in one of the garbage cans or whatever.

00:50:49 - 00:50:55 | Speaker 4:

Oh, we have permanent signs that say, please throw your underwear away and don't flush them down the toilet now.

00:50:55 - 00:52:02 | Speaker 6:

I can't believe it. I think that every one of you, and when I say you, I'm talking to you women. I think every one of you should apologize to us guys that claim that we can't get our pee in the toilet and we're the dirty son of a bitches. You are the dirty son of a bitches. The fact that there's, I'm sorry, I've never left blood. I'm telling you. You know? Blood. I'm telling you. I've never done that. They're talking about sitting to Uber. You a real man. If you sit in the Uber, you can't even wipe blood off the seat. Yeah, it's awful. This is horrible. I'm going to just say this to you guys. I think that there's definitely something to the fact that we only have limited places to go to here. So maybe there's a little bit less opportunity for people to go to the bathroom. No, you're not giving them no excuse. But I will say this. I do think that there is something to be said about us all moving in this building together because maybe it's coming from traffic. Let me find all Heather Pascal. No, don't name names. It's not Heather. It's not Heather. It's someone over there. Initial V. What's up, V? How you doing? Your voice is guys. I'm good.

00:52:02 - 00:52:03 | Speaker 1:

How are you guys? Good.

00:52:03 - 00:52:07 | Speaker 6:

What's going on? You're being voice is guys. You don't want people to know who you are, but what's up?

00:52:08 - 00:52:12 | Speaker 1:

I work at a very known OBGYN downriver.

00:52:12 - 00:52:12 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

00:52:13 - 00:52:34 | Speaker 1:

And it is just, like, disgusting how bad the bathrooms get throughout the day. there's pee blood all over the bathrooms toilet paper constantly clogged and i'm just like you are walking into pee in a cup and walking out wow and i just don't understand how things get

00:52:34 - 00:52:39 | Speaker 6:

you guys are delicate little flowers how do delicate little flowers cause for so much

00:52:39 - 00:52:49 | Speaker 1:

oh wow man that makes me so sad i'll never look at you guys the

00:52:49 - 00:52:56 | Speaker 6:

the same anymore uh initial actually no i can use your name tara what's up tara yeah i work at the

00:52:56 - 00:53:06 | Speaker 5:

detroit metropolitan airport and um those are some of the worst restrooms that you will ever come across i'm a gay agent and um i go downstairs in the basement just to use the bathroom to avoid

00:53:06 - 00:53:17 | Speaker 7:

the bathrooms upstairs are we saying dtw like like uh the terminal like mcnamara yeah oh no see i've always been okay with those bathrooms i think they have a sign on the door they have us or a

00:53:17 - 00:53:20 | Speaker 6:

Or a phone on the door or a button where you can call if the things are dirty.

00:53:21 - 00:53:24 | Speaker 5:

And I have to call them all the time. That's a floor janitor.

00:53:26 - 00:53:35 | Speaker 6:

Janitorial. Shout out to the janitorial. Yeah, exactly. I've never noticed. You guys deserve a raise. What's up, Claire? Hi, it's Mojo in the morning. What's going on?

00:53:35 - 00:53:51 | Speaker 3:

Hi, good morning, guys. Morning. I was calling on the topic, and I used to work at UWM, and when the brokers would come in, some of my friends and I, when we would go into the women's bathroom, there would be pee and then blood just all over like in puddles on the bottom of the toilet i don't

00:53:51 - 00:54:08 | Speaker 8:

understand how so are you just like take toilet paper and you know you did it and like are you just like crouched reading a book like what are you what are you doing i never knew this it'll happen today because it happens every day i will bring you in there so you can see

00:54:08 - 00:54:16 | Speaker 6:

firsthand that we are not exaggerating i gotta see this hold on daniel worked at a taco bell And you would see women going into the bathrooms and doing what, Daniel?

00:54:17 - 00:54:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, the Taco Bell bathrooms, when we had to clean them at the end of the night, the women's bathrooms would be the absolute worst. Like, there would be empty food containers in the bathroom, in the stalls. Like, who the hell is eating their Mexican pizza while sitting on a toilet?

00:54:34 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 6:

Maybe it's not blood. Maybe it's salsa. Oh, my gosh. I don't know. All right, it's time to get out of here. I thank Visit Florida for keeping our sanity with these trips that we give away. A chance for you to win a trip to spring break in Panama City. Panama City Beach is a great place to be, and especially a great place to be if you could be there Wednesday.

00:55:00 - 00:55:21 | Speaker 3:

into Thursday when we're supposed to get all this snow. If you want a trip, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. $50 cash card will be yours. 00:55:22 - 00:55:25 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:55:25 - 00:55:45 | Speaker 3:

We'll get you caught up on the Dirty on the 30 in a second here. The War of the Roses, Boston, a cheater. She is worried that he's cheating. Her boyfriend is cheating with her roommate and best friend. We do a three-way call, War of the Roses. That's where we call each of them at the same time to see how they talk to each other. And you will hear everything coming up right after this dirty. What's up, Shannon?

00:55:45 - 00:55:50 | Speaker 1:

The Super Bowl reached its biggest audience ever. Really? For the second year.

00:55:51 - 00:55:51 | Speaker 3:

It's all Tom Brady.

00:55:52 - 00:56:04 | Speaker 1:

An average of 126 million viewers watched Philly take on Casey. And according to Fox, viewership peaked during the second quarter of the game, which makes sense to me, with an average of 135.7 million people watching.

00:56:04 - 00:56:22 | Speaker 3:

How was the halftime thing? I don't have an official movie right now. The halftime thing? These halftime performance, because a lot of people are wondering how the Kendrick Lamar thing would have done for all the audiences. And I would love to know the ratings on halftime. I would bet that the...

00:56:22 - 00:56:23 | Speaker 1:

126 mil.

00:56:23 - 00:57:52 | Speaker 3:

So it's similar, yeah. They said it's the same. So to me, the thing will be to see if, and I heard this yesterday, I actually was listening to a guy on one of the news stations, one of the big cable news stations, talking about how Apple Music has purchased this for so much money, the NFL doesn't care what kind of ratings that the halftime performances get, that now it's getting to a point where the artists aren't getting paid, they've never gotten paid for halftime. Right. It's they need this halftime for themselves. So the labels and the artists are coming together and they are paying the NFL and Apple Music so much money for the ability to be able to perform that we might see new breakout artists do. they said that's what they're saying they say that if they have if there's a breakout artist and when i mean a breakout artist and an artist that's just coming up like a tate mccray who is on the cusp of chapel rhone or chapel rhone that that might be a situation where you might see them doing the super bowl where they normally would never do it because not everybody knows them yet maybe you know a bunch of people do because they're hot don't you think that would backfire though look what they did with kendrick i mean you're not famous no but kendrick but kendrick lamar was a lot of people didn't think a lot of people thought little wayne should have done this thing because little wayne's been around a lot longer and he's from new orleans and honestly what it does apple music is trying to get streams so what does that mean for the

00:57:52 - 00:57:56 | Speaker 2:

rock nation partnership because they're the ones that are supposed to be like executive they produce

00:57:56 - 00:58:11 | Speaker 3:

it yeah i think that he's getting a huge piece of the deal he's he says he doesn't just pick his artist obviously you know he does jay-z jay-z yeah but they say that rock rock nation's the getting paid the big bucks to produce it so i feel like it would be so cool if our company if

00:58:11 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 1:

iheartmedia did like a a variation of what we do at the festival in vegas every year and have like a bunch of three or four artists yeah like three four five artists and they do like two songs the stage switches they did that before though but if iheart did it oh yeah honestly that would be very

00:58:27 - 00:58:38 | Speaker 3:

very cool how it is produced back in back maybe 10 12 years ago they used to do that where you'd have multiple artists go up there and perform i think it was like bruno mars because then there's

00:58:38 - 00:58:42 | Speaker 1:

something for everybody yeah you know what i mean there's a country there's a rap there's a pop

00:58:42 - 00:58:48 | Speaker 3:

there's a i think that would be cool whatever like a like the the uh uh you know award shows do

00:58:48 - 00:58:55 | Speaker 1:

yes yeah yes but the show's so short already like just give me the hits from somebody yeah You know what I'm saying?

00:58:55 - 00:59:01 | Speaker 3:

13 minutes, yeah. I think the players are the ones that kind of struggle with this because that's a long halftime.

00:59:01 - 00:59:03 | Speaker 2:

It's double what they're used to.

00:59:03 - 00:59:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so they're sitting in that locker room forever going, what the hell?

00:59:06 - 00:59:52 | Speaker 1:

All right, let's talk about the commercials that drew the most to viewers. This doesn't have anything to do with popularity. This is variety to this. So I'm thinking this is like where the placement was in terms of the bulk of people watching. The Booking.com commercial starring Kermit, Miss Piggy, friends, Came in at number one, Rams, Goldilocks, and the Three Trucks commercial featuring the very hot Glenn Powell, number two. Also on this list, the Google Dream Job, Yahoo.com with Bill Murray, Marvel's Thunderbolts trailer on here, Nerd Wallets, that Genius Beluga ad, DoorDash with Nate Bargetsy, a Doritos commercial, and then the Squarespace one. No seal? The Bud Light with Post Malone, was it on there? No, but the Bud Light one featuring Peyton Manning, Shane Gillison. Oh, yes. And sorry, I'm post-mode. Yep.

00:59:52 - 00:59:55 | Speaker 2:

I like that Seal commercial, man. That was my favorite.

00:59:55 - 01:01:27 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, Kanye West aired a Yeezy.com commercial during... the Super Bowl. I don't think I wasn't watching the commercials at the party that I was at, but I know it was shown in only select markets, but it was super low budget. It was shot on an iPhone and it had Kanye sitting in what appears to be like a dentist chair. Well, following the airing of that ad, Kanye immediately flipped Yeezy.com, replacing all of its previous content with just one item, a swastika t-shirt for sale for $20. And up until the ad actually ran, Yeezy.com featured a Shopify powered store selection of all sorts of non-branded items, shirts, pants, jackets, whatever, nothing that would have ever been deemed an issue or a content issue. But then, so when the ad first ran, this t-shirt I'm talking about was not there, but within an hour of it airing, Ye made the switch. And if you went to the site, you saw just that $20 swastika shirt. And so people are saying the ad went through legal approval. It got the green light and moved forward because there was no issue with the 30 second spot itself. It was the content that appeared right after the ad aired. And it did run on three Fox owned stations, including KTTV LA. And then they're saying a bunch of other random local markets. So, I know I saw it online yesterday morning, but I didn't know if we actually saw it on TV during the Super Bowl. Insane.

01:01:27 - 01:01:29 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. The shirt's still up there, too.

01:01:30 - 01:01:31 | Unknown:

Insane. Yeah.

01:01:31 - 01:01:37 | Speaker 1:

All right. For all of today's dirty, get yourself caught up by checking out the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

We were just talking, obviously, about the halftime show. And right now we're giving you a chance to go to Florida. So, Nicole, are you there?

01:02:07 - 01:02:10 | Speaker 5:

Hey, I am. First time in a long time. Yay!

01:02:13 - 01:02:14 | Speaker 2:

Nicole, where are you from?

01:02:15 - 01:02:17 | Speaker 5:

I'm from Monroe, Michigan.

01:02:17 - 01:02:22 | Speaker 2:

Oh, we love you guys. Monroe, thanks for listening to us. You're a winner. Congratulations to you.

01:02:22 - 01:02:24 | Speaker 5:

Oh, thank you. I'm so excited.

01:02:25 - 01:02:57 | Speaker 2:

Nicole, you got a $50 cash card. You're now qualified for a trip to spring break in Panama City Beach, Florida. If you win, you will win round-trip airfare for you and a friend, car rental. You'll stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Panama City Beach Resort. You will get excursion passes to go on the gondola at the Skywheel at Panama City Beach. And you'll get passes to the St. Andrews State Park, courtesy of the Florida State Parks. And this is all brought to you by Visit Florida. Congratulations to you.

01:02:58 - 01:03:00 | Speaker 5:

Thank you, Ray, so much.

01:03:00 - 01:03:07 | Speaker 2:

Thank you so much. Appreciate you listening to us in Monroe. And I want you to hang on the phone for just one second, and we'll get some information from you, okay?

01:03:08 - 01:03:09 | Speaker 5:

All right, Peyton.

01:03:09 - 01:04:12 | Speaker 2:

All right, don't go anywhere. Lydia's going to grab your information. I'm trying to think of something big because we've got a big audience right now. This is like a Super Bowl-sized audience whenever we do the War of the Roses. I want to promote this, that in, I don't know how long here, actually, probably in the next 15, 20 minutes, we're going to give you a chance to enter a contest for tickets to see Kendrick and SZA in our rock-papered SZA contest. So at 8 o'clock when we end the War of the Roses, would you like to play rock, paper, scissor, just like rock, paper, scissors, for a chance to win a $2,000 diamond ring from Lucido Fine Jewelry as The Rock, cash $1,000, I understand, right, from Pokey Pokey, and tickets to see scissor along with Kendrick Lamar. So your chance to win comes up, and we'll do it right after War of the Roses.

01:04:13 - 01:04:18 | Speaker 4:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

01:04:19 - 01:04:22 | Speaker 2:

Audra, who is it that you think your boyfriend is cheating with?

01:04:24 - 01:04:29 | Speaker 5:

My best friend and roommate, who's basically like my sister. We're really close. We're like sisters.

01:04:30 - 01:04:47 | Speaker 2:

Really? And you think that you guys, as close as you are, and your boyfriend, as committed as he is, you think that these two guys would cross that line yeah i'm kind of getting the feeling that they're doing that uh what is it that has made you think that

01:04:47 - 01:05:33 | Speaker 5:

well whenever he comes over they're always talking it's like i'm not even there and i've actually caught her texting him before and then when i asked him about it they both act act like it's nothing like i'll ask her like what's going on like why are you texting him and then i'll ask him about it too and they say that it's nothing what are they texting about though i mean i don't know i haven't seen the text messages but it makes me wonder and you know what really makes me uncomfortable is that i found out that he's actually been at my house when i'm not home just hanging out with her like that's really really weird um because

01:05:33 - 01:05:40 | Speaker 2:

kevin just brought up a really interesting point he just he kind of wants to what was it i feel like

01:05:40 - 01:05:46 | Speaker 1:

i'm not sure when you say you caught them texting but you didn't see the message like what do you

01:05:46 - 01:05:55 | Speaker 5:

mean you caught them texting each other because i saw his number his name come up on her phone when we were hanging out together.

01:05:55 - 01:05:59 | Speaker 2:

But you didn't ask to read the text messages or didn't...

01:05:59 - 01:06:07 | Speaker 5:

Or say, like, why are you guys texting each other? What's that about? No, I didn't do it because, honestly, I was scared of what the answer would be.

01:06:08 - 01:06:18 | Speaker 2:

Do you think that these guys have ever been with each other aside from them just being in the same room together? Like, you know what I'm talking about? Like, that they've fooled around with each other?

01:06:18 - 01:06:30 | Speaker 5:

um i hope not but i am worried that that may have happened all right we're gonna call them up we got

01:06:30 - 01:07:04 | Speaker 2:

both of their numbers we're gonna do a three-way call and we're gonna call to see what they sound like talking to each other without knowing that you're on the phone you're gonna have to be really careful about making sure that you mute your phone and do not say anything until we're able to get some information out of them okay okay so mute your phone right now are you muted there you go all right where are the roses

01:07:17 - 01:07:38 | Speaker 6:

hello hello hello hello um uh just yeah hello yeah hey what's up why are you calling right

01:07:38 - 01:07:45 | Speaker 3:

now i'm at work oh uh what no i didn't i didn't call i thought you called me

01:07:45 - 01:08:00 | Speaker 7:

01:08:00 - 01:08:08 | Speaker 3:

oh no nothing i i didn't even know i got i don't know my bad i thought you called me i'm just um

01:08:08 - 01:08:20 | Speaker 6:

yeah um so like it's so funny you called me today because i was just thinking about how much i miss you

01:08:20 - 01:08:30 | Speaker 4:

it has been a long time i've missed you too but you've been you haven't been a while you haven't

01:08:30 - 01:08:38 | Speaker 7:

been well you can come over anytime this week if you want you know you're always welcome

01:08:39 - 01:08:51 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's nice. I got you, actually, I got you a gift. It's like nothing big, but I was actually just thinking about you, and I got you a little something.

01:08:53 - 01:08:58 | Speaker 7:

Oh, that is so sweet. I can't wait. Can you tell me what it is?

01:08:59 - 01:09:15 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no, it's a surprise. It's not like a big deal, though, so don't like. But it is, like, I don't know. I think it's cool. I think you'll like it. I was just, yeah, I know you'll like it. What, uh, is there like a day that's best or can I just, I mean, I'm not really sure what, but.

01:09:18 - 01:09:28 | Speaker 6:

Um, I think if you come over, you know, before nine o'clock, that should be fun. Oh, okay. You'll have a good time, yeah.

01:09:29 - 01:09:33 | Speaker 3:

Okay. I can do that. I can definitely do that.

01:09:33 - 01:09:42 | Speaker 4:

Hey, um, just text me later when you get on break. Then we'll just, you know, we can talk some more.

01:09:44 - 01:09:46 | Speaker 7:

Okay. What's your schedule like today?

01:09:50 - 01:09:58 | Speaker 4:

Um. Hey, Nick? Um, hello? Hey, Nick.

01:10:00 - 01:10:24 | Speaker 2:

i'm going to jump on here real quick because i just wanted to kind of tell you what's going on what who is this nick this is the mojo in the morning show and your girlfriend audra contacted us because she thought that something was going on between you and her best friend and it sounds like there's something more than just you guys having a friendship together

01:10:24 - 01:10:38 | Speaker 1:

i mean we're we're we are just friends we're i mean we're like we're basically family i miss you

01:10:38 - 01:10:39 | Speaker 3:

so much

01:10:39 - 01:10:57 | Speaker 2:

wait what's going on what's going on is that audra was a little worried that something was happening between you and her roommate and elena do you have anything that you want to say about

01:10:57 - 01:11:34 | Speaker 3:

this i mean i'm i don't understand like what's going on exactly but i'm nick and i are just having a conversation why are you having conversation where you're planning on hanging out without Audra. We can hang out as a group. That's fine. But you specifically were making plans to hang out, not as a group. I'm just like friends with Nick. It's not a big deal.

01:11:35 - 01:11:38 | Speaker 2:

Audra, what do you think?

01:11:40 - 01:11:44 | Speaker 4:

Why are you guys even talking to each other? You have no business talking to each other.

01:11:44 - 01:12:12 | Speaker 2:

Nick, you hung up phone, Elena, are you there, Elena, Elena,

01:12:12 - 01:12:20 | Speaker 3:

there's something i'm here yeah but i don't want to get involved how are you not going to get

01:12:20 - 01:12:24 | Speaker 2:

involved you already are involved you guys are roommates and you're talking to her boyfriend

01:12:24 - 01:12:47 | Speaker 3:

without her knowing it's nothing like you guys are just really making the worst assumptions here worst assumptions you invited him to stay the night yeah and he's getting you a gift we're just hanging out it's fine it's really nothing

01:12:47 - 01:12:53 | Speaker 4:

how is this nothing this doesn't seem like nothing

01:12:53 - 01:12:59 | Speaker 2:

would he be spending the night if he's spending the night without you there Adra or is this

01:12:59 - 01:13:07 | Speaker 4:

no he absolutely should not be spending the night there with her if I'm not

01:13:07 - 01:13:09 | Speaker 2:

there? Were you planning

01:13:09 - 01:13:11 | Speaker 4:

on leaving and going out? Were you planning on

01:13:11 - 01:13:12 | Speaker 2:

not being home?

01:13:14 - 01:13:16 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I work twice a week.

01:13:18 - 01:13:41 | Speaker 2:

Is that something that has happened when Audra's not home? So they're obviously having some kind of a thing when you're going to work late. Audrey, I want you to hang on the phone for a second, okay?

01:13:43 - 01:14:00 | Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm. This is the home of War of the Roses. Mojo in the Morning. Join the discussion now. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:14:03 - 01:14:44 | Speaker 2:

mojo of the morning war of the roses i have a couple of thoughts and i will tell you this one of my first thoughts when we were in the midst of doing that three-way call war of the roses was are these guys like messing with us are they just trying to get on the radio with War of the Roses, like, is Audra full of crap? Is this not really a situation where she thinks that her roommate and boyfriend are cheating with each other? Just because, to me, I'm listening to the conversation that they're having, and I'm like, they just sound like they're

01:14:44 - 01:14:46 | Speaker 3:

full of crap. So obvious.

01:14:47 - 01:14:57 | Speaker 2:

And then after having conversations after this had been done, after the War of the Roses had been taped,

01:14:58 - 01:15:28 | Unknown:

Thank you.

01:15:00 - 01:15:57 | Speaker 4:

They are legit, like 100% legit, where it is just a case of, I don't know, maybe some dumb people. I don't know. I don't know the story. I mean, to put it bluntly. But 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I got a couple of things that I wanted to get to topic-wise, and I think that this is definitely a good topic. Roommate cheating. Has anybody ever had that happen to them, where their roommate cheated with their boyfriend or girlfriend? If that has ever happened, I want to hear your story. And then also, can you as a boyfriend go over and spend time at your girlfriend's apartment or home while she's working late at night? Because nothing good is going to come out of that if you've got attractive roommates. So there's a few things to get into here. Let's grab some phones, and let's ask you guys what your thoughts are on this one. Sam, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. What's happening with you today?

01:15:57 - 01:15:59 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Oh, just listening to you guys.

01:16:00 - 01:16:04 | Speaker 4:

on my way to work i love it thank you for spending time with us okay sorry i'm just jumping right to

01:16:04 - 01:16:21 | Speaker 1:

it because this one's got me boiling because how are you gonna do that to your roommate they who says they miss their roommate's boyfriend number one that was like the first yeah where i'm like yeah you know and then the gift i need to know what the gift is yeah i need to know well that is

01:16:21 - 01:16:41 | Speaker 4:

that is the interesting uh thought of like who does this you know first off i always think to myself. You're not only screwing over a friend. Now you're having to find a new place to live. Correct. I'm not doing that. I think honestly, I'd give up my friendship before I'd have to give up the fact that I have to get a U-Haul and figure out how to move again. Rose, what's

01:16:41 - 01:17:17 | Speaker 3:

happening? It's Mojo in the morning. Hey, good morning. So I agree with the other caller. I was also going to say like what kind of room it is that they like miss their roommate's boyfriend, number one but number two um if your boyfriend and roommate are texting and they're hanging out without you that should just be a giant red flag all together like um you should and that nip it right in the bud before it even begins number one but if it's going on and you catch it cut everything off both of them out of your life they don't deserve to be a part of your life

01:17:17 - 01:17:32 | Speaker 4:

anymore if they're going to hurt you in that way i'm shocked by the way how many people uh like are like oh my my boyfriend comes over and hangs out with my roommate all the time and they're just fine with it like they really are trusting you know that this is not going to end up leading to

01:17:32 - 01:17:45 | Speaker 3:

something yeah i mean i could see that like it really depends on the type of dynamic and like friendship that goes on when you're around but you never know what happens behind closed doors

01:17:45 - 01:18:01 | Speaker 4:

when you're not there right and they have too much time to spend with each other if she's working a lot bridget what's up it's mojo in the morning war of the roses i can't say that bridget even though i would like to agree with you that yes that uh that is that is a spitty friend you cannot

01:18:01 - 01:19:06 | Speaker 2:

say the word though okay crappy crappy what a crappy what a crappy friend yes what a crappy friend and that's exactly why I don't let I don't hang out with females in my home around my home around my man because I've actually had that happen in the past where people have been my friends and then I've found out like they were messing with my ex and I just and it sucks because I you know I want to support women and be about women but it's like my younger years have made it where i don't i don't and it sucks because i really want to have those relationships with females because i you know so you won't even have your own like girlfriends over your house no no i will not especially if my husband is home once in a great while but it's not like we don't hang out i don't know is your husband's hang out over there is your husband so hot that these girls would want to jump his bones um i don't he's he's just really nice he's a good you

01:19:06 - 01:19:12 | Speaker 4:

know he's a good man do you think sometimes single girls that are friends of yours look at what you

01:19:12 - 01:19:34 | Speaker 2:

have and want i don't even think they have to be single really i don't even think they have to be single because i've had friends that were in relationships that have actually there was actually one relationship where i was like so like shocked that the girl messed with my ex because she was actually dating his best friend and i'm like hold on i'm gonna you know what i'm

01:19:34 - 01:19:40 | Speaker 4:

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I've got to dump you and hang up on you.

01:19:41 - 01:19:42 | Speaker 2:

I just know Daniel's dressed.

01:19:42 - 01:19:47 | Speaker 4:

But I agree with you. What the F? What the F? Hold on a second.

01:19:48 - 01:19:49 | Speaker 2:

We've got to give him a second.

01:19:50 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 4:

Let me grab this one here. You have a question, Hope? Keep it clean, Hope. What's going on?

01:20:00 - 01:20:21 | Speaker 2:

Oh, definitely keep it clean. But I'm, like, ultimately confused because, like, what's the deal? Is she just not admitting that she's sleeping with him because she doesn't want to be home with? Or, like, is she really that dumb to think she likes the attention and she doesn't think he's trying to get in her pants?

01:20:21 - 01:21:07 | Speaker 1:

Well, it's funny because I think that when she made the comments that she made at the end of it when we told her who we were and everything, i think that what ended up happening was uh audra's roommate didn't understand that the entire conversation was already yeah done we taped it we had it you know we could play it back because she then fessed up that they have been spending time together so uh but yeah she's i mean the way that she reacted we're just doing nothing i really miss you and all the rest i'm gonna buy you a gift i mean craziness and by the way i asked audra this question i said when's the last time he bought you a grift it's been way too long you know what i mean like you can't buy gifts for another woman and having not been a guy that's a gift giver yeah gift me all the time and my

01:21:07 - 01:21:14 | Speaker 3:

friends yeah while you're cheating austin what's up hey how's it going you guys first time long

01:21:14 - 01:21:41 | Speaker 5:

so i actually when i was like 19 i had an instance where i let my i got a house and i let i let my girl move in and i actually let her mom and her boyfriend move in and uh one of my exes actually ended up sleeping with her mom her mom's boyfriend oh wow yeah wow yeah it was really cool you know

01:21:41 - 01:21:55 | Speaker 1:

we were really cool roommates and so what did what did her what did your girlfriend's mom do when she found out that the boyfriend was cheating with this person because i think anytime you put a bunch of people together in a place alcohol gets involved that's when things go crazy

01:21:55 - 01:22:06 | Speaker 5:

i mean there was no alcohol involved but i ended up putting all of them out and then the mom and the boyfriend stayed together and ended up moving into a hotel room or something

01:22:06 - 01:22:23 | Speaker 1:

yeah so no alcohol was involved at all what was it then because usually it's alcohol or weed i don't know sometimes it's some kind of an extra you know it's something that like a night everybody's guard gets down and then next thing you know was there a hot tub uh or that you know what

01:22:23 - 01:23:26 | Speaker 4:

i think megan might be right what's up samantha hi hi good morning good morning where are the roses recap um yes so i was just listening and it made me think of a time i had some friends over at my house and uh my friend had never been over so my boyfriend's like oh i'll show you around mind you i've been friends with these people for like five years so they go upstairs and she's trying to get in his pants and this is my boyfriend of like seven years and her husband um had just passed away like three days ago and she's trying to get with my boyfriend at my party upstairs where all the bedrooms are like trying to get in his pants and stuff so he brings her back downstairs and she says that she tells him i'm too turned on i gotta leave so she leaves and she's texting him the whole time and he ended up telling me about it we had a falling out with her but i couldn't believe it that's wild the grief was clouding

01:23:26 - 01:23:31 | Speaker 1:

her judgment do you think the grief was or do you think that she was just that type of person

01:23:31 - 01:23:41 | Speaker 4:

i i didn't think she was that type of person after her husband died we were there for her like hey if you need anything help paying for anything she needed something anything at all

01:23:41 - 01:23:54 | Speaker 1:

wow that's amazing she wanted more it's amazing though that she would do that right in your own home that's wild and you're you know not that far away it sounds like ashley what happened

01:23:54 - 01:24:17 | Speaker 3:

um my best friend ended up leading on my boyfriend's roommate who was the homeowner and moved in with him and then like um me and the roommate my boyfriend's roommate would like would catch them like she snuck in through his bedroom window downstairs one time and was like

01:24:17 - 01:24:31 | Speaker 1:

avoiding a fight with adam upstairs wait hold on stop for a second i'm a little confused your best friend ended up moving in with your boyfriend's roommate so then was she trying to fool around with your boyfriend or the boyfriend's roommate?

01:24:32 - 01:24:32 | Speaker 2:

Yes, yes.

01:24:32 - 01:24:36 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. And who's Adam? Who's Adam?

01:24:37 - 01:24:43 | Speaker 3:

The boyfriend's roommate. Okay, so she was like leading on kind of.

01:24:43 - 01:24:46 | Speaker 1:

So she's leading on him to get to your boyfriend.

01:24:47 - 01:24:47 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

01:24:48 - 01:24:51 | Speaker 1:

And do you know if anything ever happened? Did your boyfriend do anything?

01:24:53 - 01:24:56 | Speaker 3:

No, they didn't. Well, not that I know of.

01:24:56 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 1:

Wow, you don't sound confident. Hesitation baby

01:25:00 - 01:25:07 | Speaker 2:

But, yeah, I guess I don't know. I don't know. I will not together, and I don't talk to her anymore. He's actually passed away, too, but.

01:25:07 - 01:25:09 | Speaker 3:

Oh, jeez. Oh, my God.

01:25:10 - 01:25:12 | Speaker 2:

Pretty crazy, though. It was very uncomfortable.

01:25:12 - 01:25:13 | Speaker 3:

Did you kill him?

01:25:14 - 01:25:16 | Speaker 2:

No. It kind of sounds like him, my girl.

01:25:16 - 01:25:17 | Speaker 3:

Are you sure?

01:25:18 - 01:25:19 | Speaker 2:

Like, yeah.

01:25:19 - 01:25:21 | Speaker 3:

Keep rolling the phone for 30 more seconds.

01:25:22 - 01:25:26 | Speaker 2:

Dude, if it was my investigation, you are suspect numero uno.

01:25:26 - 01:25:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm sorry. That sounds to me like.

01:25:29 - 01:25:32 | Speaker 2:

Keith Morrison. That laugh says I've got a bloody knife. Yeah.

01:25:33 - 01:25:37 | Speaker 3:

Okay. We'll see you on a Dateline NBC coming up very, very soon.

01:25:40 - 01:25:47 | Speaker 2:

This Friday morning on the show, we're giving you a chance to win tickets to see Kendrick Lamar and SZA. And for a special Halloween contest, we're giving away diamonds and money. How would you like to take part in Mojo in the Morning's Rock Paper SZA? It's going to be so much fun. we're going to get listeners together here at the station and we're going to do a rock paper scissor tournament and whoever is the winner is going to end up winning whatever prize they like. The rock which is a $2,000 diamond ring the paper is $1,000 and the scissor is tickets to see Kendrick Lamar and scissor if you would like to be part of this contest You have to make it to the radio studios on Friday morning, bright and early. Now, the good thing is that the weather looks like it's going to be fine on Friday. The bad news is that the weather's not going to be great the day before, so hopefully your driveway's all shoveled up by then. But if you'd like to be part of this contest, Lydia, I'm going to open up the phones. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. The only prerequisite to this entire contest is you have to have hands, I think, right? Right? Play rock, paper, right? right and you can throw some toes well you can't has anybody ever played rock paper scissors with a guarantee if we go online we can find somebody playing with their toes i don't need to see everything that might be that might be tough to do i don't know yeah um so lydia is going to go through the phone lines and how many contestants you want to grab this go around lydia you tell me let's do like three all right so three eight four four mojo live eight four four six six five six five four eight um and we've done a lot of different contests on the air here we actually back in the day did leg wrestling for a chance to have a meet and greet with john cena i remember back in the day it was like we had people leg wrestling in the studio um and then i think that after that i think we did an arm wrestling competition we actually let you arm wrestle a celebrity and i think that if i'm not mistaken i think that you were rest arm wrestling some guy that was like some world champion or whatever. Now we're going to do rock, paper, scissors. Like we've come a long way.

01:28:48 - 01:28:49 | Speaker 1:

Remember the spitting one?

01:28:49 - 01:28:50 | Speaker 3:

Oh my God.

01:28:50 - 01:28:56 | Speaker 1:

You spit on each other's faces until someone couldn't stand it anymore and that became a huge legal issue. Oh, that, yeah.

01:28:56 - 01:29:09 | Speaker 3:

And the slap-off was a bad one. The slap-off was pre-iHeart. That was when we were clear channel and the legal department was not very fun. NOS the whole sport. It is, I know, they do it. It's funny because- Slapping?

01:29:09 - 01:29:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:29:09 - 01:29:12 | Speaker 3:

No, it's funny because we- It's like my low-key guilty pleasure.

01:29:12 - 01:29:12 | Speaker 1:

Same.

01:29:12 - 01:29:42 | Speaker 3:

We did- What? We did the slap-off thing. And I will tell you this, that was the one contest where when it started, I was like, this is uncomfortable. Like, I want this thing off. Because it was crazy. And it was for Kid Rock tickets, too. Only Kid Rock fans would do a slap-off. So, all right. Let's grab some lines here. Who do we got? Oh, my gosh. She wants to drive in from Grand Rapids. Are you insane, Crystal? Crystal, you're going to have to drive to our Detroit studios. Are you willing to do that?

01:29:43 - 01:29:43 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

01:29:44 - 01:29:48 | Speaker 3:

Crystal, you're now qualified for this. Congratulations.

01:29:48 - 01:29:48 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, Crystal.

01:29:51 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 3:

You understand that this contest could win you one of three prizes. There's going to be three winners. And we'll let the grand prize, I guess.

01:30:00 - 01:32:58 | Speaker 1:

We'll let them pick which one they want. Which one would you pick out of the rock, paper, and the scissor? Here's my daughter. Which one would I pick, Yeti? The money. Money, money, money. Give mama the money. Show me the money. I like it. All right. Well, Crystal, hold on a second and tell that cutie pie that we said hello. All right? Thank you so much. Hold on one second here. Is it Alexia? from berkeley is on with us hi alexia hi there hey you're in how are you i'm so excited so you heard the the prizes we've got uh the rock is a two thousand dollar diamond ring from lucido fine jewelry locations in rochester uh birmingham uh and they're big sterling heights uh you know A very original location with my good friend Joe running that show. Or you can win paper, which is $1,000 cash, courtesy of Pokey Pokey. I love Pokey Pokey. They should bring some food in for us. I love Pokey Pokey. I've never had Pokey Pokeys. I go there way too often. We would go by the old radio station all the time, the Pokey Pokey. That was my favorite. And then we have SZA tickets, SZA and Kendrick Lamar tickets. Which one would you choose, Alexia? honestly it would be a tough choice but i am trying to buy a house right now so extra cash goes along with that money you wouldn't take the ring and sell it or the concert tickets and sell i'm not trying to make any work for you i'm not trying to you do what you do okay hold on hold on are you a good person a good rock paper scissor do you have Do you have hands? Oh, yeah. There's still to it. Okay. Because I'm not fast. Let's do it right on. Let me do it right on. Ready? Here we go. You do it on shoot, right? All right. Ready? Here we go. Rock, paper, scissor, shoot. You're not good. What? Bop, bop, bop, boom. Ready? That's too fast for him. He's old. I'm doing not bop, bop, bop, boom. I do it at my own pace. Ready? It's got to happen at the same pace. I understand that. But you're trying to go too fast. Don't mess with me. Here we go. Rock, paper, scissors, shoot. Cut him up. Oh, he caught me. I got that. One more. Best two out of three. Best two out of three. Let's go. Rock, paper, scissors, shoot. Got him. Oh, he got me two. He got a paper. He was paper over the rock. I'm sorry. This means nothing to you on the radio. One last qualifier. Stephanie from New Haven is in. Stephanie. Congrats. All right. How you doing? I'm doing good. How are you guys? We're doing fantastic. Stephanie, this contest is going to be good. You saw the halftime show, right? Kendrick and SZA? I saw it. I did. I hope Kendrick gives SZA a little bit more time at the show. It's a 13-minute show versus like two and a half hours.

01:32:58 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 1:

He didn't give her enough time at the Super Bowl. We should have heard more SZA songs. Congratulations. Which one would you choose? Everybody seems like they want the money. It is a tough decision. The money is always great, but there's a lot of good prizes, so I'm not sure. She'll take any of them. We've got to figure that out, okay? All right, so this Friday we'll see how you are. Hopefully you're better than I am at this and slower than Kevin because Kevin will drink. I've got two daughters that make me play with them, so I'll practice. Do they really? Okay. All right. Well, congratulations to you for getting in here. We're going to do more qualifiers coming up a little bit later this morning here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. Here's what we've got coming up in the next hour of the show. So from now until 9 o'clock, Just before we get into Am I the A-Hole, which Am I the A-Hole is a good one today. That's at 9. Before that, Kev, less than a man, then I'm going to do a topic. And my topic is, do you have to give or get somebody's permission before you give out their phone number? And I'll tell you a very personal story regarding a member of this Mojo in the Morning Show that asked me for the phone number of somebody interesting. And then Shannon's going to do the dirty. We're going to give away some more tickets to see Justin Timberlake. And then this is heart month. You know, there's a whole bunch of things going on this month. Obviously, we've got Valentine's Day. It's Black History Month. And then it's also heart month. And did you know that more people die of heart disease that are, from our listening audience, women especially, die of heart disease than they do die of cancer? Young women. And people don't ever talk about it. Everybody thinks that it's cancer being the number one cause of death. Well, coming up a little bit later this hour, you're going to meet. Oh, hold on a second. That's Xfinity for the 8,000th time telling me they're coming to my house to do a repair. You're going to get it. They've called me literally, I'm not kidding you, seven times to see if I'm canceling my appointment or not. Okay. I hate when they do that. This is a different topic of when you, now you confirm.

01:35:00 - 01:35:04 | Speaker 4:

appointments by the phone they call you then they leave you a message and then they text you

01:35:04 - 01:35:51 | Speaker 1:

enough already enough i'm at a point right now where i may actually just say i'm i quit i'm done i don't even want it um all right so i'm gonna have a heart attack thank god my my surgeon right outside the windows here the man who performed this man had my heart in his hands he's gonna come in here dr patel you see that guy that's incredible you can't hear us do we not have a radio out there for them to listen to it's probably 45 seconds delayed okay so they'll hear in a second dr patel and then he'll look up and i'll go oh you look away so so dr patel is going to come in the uh the studio here and uh before the end of the hour all right it's mojo in the morning show kevin less than a man yeah man my uh this is for my cousin gerard who you've

01:35:51 - 01:37:33 | Speaker 2:

met before all y'all met him because he was at my my birthday celebration almost a year ago that's crazy um but gerard is going through a situation where where he is huh it was happening every year no i mean like it's crazy that it was like you're almost a year removed um but gerard is in a situation where he is feeling less than a man and gerard is a real handy type of guy like he owns an organization where he teaches young adults how to build homes and do electrical work so he he's mr fix it and he has a you know brain and browns and all that kind of thing and he likes doing things for himself he likes if he has to fix something he's gonna do it as opposed to reaching out he likes to shovel his snow he likes to rake his grass so we've had a few dustings you know over the course of this winter and the first time that is snow Gerard's neighbor who has a snowblower came over and snowblowed his driveway and his front like a little walkway hell yeah Hell, yeah. And Gerard is like, hmm, okay, didn't ask for that, but thank you. Right, thank you. Don't have to do it now. You know what I mean? But still kind of like, hmm. Because, again, he likes to do his own yard work. Okay. But he's still gracious. Yeah. Very appreciative of this man coming over and blowing his driveway. Then it happens again. And now Gerard is like, what the hell? I'm the man of this house. Why is this man doing manly stuff to my house? His wife, Christina, is a joker, so he's like, what are you going to do next? You going to come inside and do me? She's making jokes like, I thought you were the man in this house. Why is this? Are you a little bitch in the house now? Why is this man handling all your responsibilities? Are you not a man?

01:37:33 - 01:37:35 | Speaker 1:

The only blowing is the snow on the driveway.

01:37:35 - 01:37:40 | Speaker 2:

That's it. And now we're about to get this snow on Wednesday. Oh, yeah. So what is he to do?

01:37:40 - 01:38:30 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so this is interesting. Is that a nice neighborly thing to do? Or do you look at this as this guy is overstepping his bounds? Is he doing too much? I had a situation one time back in my old neighborhood. I had a situation where I snowblowed the neighbor's driveway only to found out culturally he did not like the idea that I was doing it. His wife was shoveling the driveway. Wait, what? They were of some Middle Eastern heritage or in religion. and it was not a good thing. And he came over and said, you know, I appreciate it, but I'd rather you not do that. Yeah, it was like, because he felt like it made him look bad. He felt like it was bad. But his wife was out there snowblowing, or not snowblowing, shoveling, and I had a snowblower. And I always say this, I have a snowblower right now, I feel like I'm obligated to do everybody's driveway because you have a snowblower.

01:38:30 - 01:38:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:38:31 - 01:38:39 | Speaker 1:

So 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Is Gerard less of a man? I don't think he is.

01:38:39 - 01:38:46 | Speaker 2:

For me, I don't give a damn. If I walk outside and everything clear, God bless you. Thank you so much. Men are so weird about this, though.

01:38:46 - 01:38:50 | Speaker 3:

The way that you're like, I'm less of a man because somebody helped me.

01:38:51 - 01:39:03 | Speaker 1:

But I think also, Megan, I think that there's something about the snowblowing where it's like, okay, whatever. But there are guys, if you touch their grass once, get pissed. Because it's not the way that they wanted the lines to go in their yard.

01:39:03 - 01:39:04 | Speaker 3:

But who cares?

01:39:04 - 01:39:05 | Speaker 1:

I know.

01:39:05 - 01:39:11 | Speaker 3:

Who cares? By the way, your lines are gone the next day. Like, y'all are stressing about something that does not matter.

01:39:12 - 01:39:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So, like, so you bake, and maybe you don't have this type of, I don't know, ego or whatever. If another woman comes in your kitchen and starts cooking, do you feel a way?

01:39:21 - 01:39:21 | Speaker 4:

No.

01:39:22 - 01:39:22 | Speaker 2:

Uh-huh.

01:39:23 - 01:39:31 | Speaker 4:

I'm trying to equate this in my head. So, I would get mad if another woman, like, mommed my kids.

01:39:31 - 01:39:33 | Speaker 1:

Oh. For sure. Breastfed them.

01:39:34 - 01:39:41 | Speaker 3:

Okay, that's really. That was wild. we went from zero to 100 real quick she just got there already

01:39:41 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 4:

like disciplined in public not even disciplined but like oh he seemed like he was still hungry the lunch you packed wasn't enough so I can pack like something like that is how I guess I would and that would make me feel very much less than even though technically it's helping me and helping my child but I would feel

01:40:00 - 01:40:14 | Speaker 2:

Like, well, what I, I'm not good enough, but that would be like if he mowed his grass and then you went and did it a different way immediately afterwards versus like, Hey, I saw that your Smith didn't have a lunch. I fed him.

01:40:14 - 01:40:33 | Speaker 3:

I want to know if there are any people that feel like a neighbor or somebody oversteps their bounds. Like, is there the neighbor lady that brings treats to your husband? Like that would be an issue. I'm like, Hunter, what's going on? Hey, how are you doing? How are you? What do you think about Gerard being upset that his neighbor is blowing his driveway?

01:40:34 - 01:40:47 | Speaker 7:

I mean, in the end of it, I wouldn't be so upset because, I mean, shoot. I don't have to pay the guy. He's shumbling my snow for me.

01:40:47 - 01:40:54 | Speaker 3:

What happens, Hunter, if he starts snowblowing the driveway and the next thing you know he's in bed with your wife?

01:40:54 - 01:41:20 | Speaker 7:

oh well i i would say i would say no to that uh what if he was just warming up after snow blowing your driveway and that's why they were in bed together oh i missed that part no i would not i would not do that then i love hunter by the way hunter is a great one

01:41:20 - 01:41:25 | Speaker 3:

Hunter is the hypothetical guy. We need to have Hunter call us up more often. What's up, Brandy? Hi.

01:41:26 - 01:41:40 | Speaker 5:

Hey. Hi. So, question. Is he just blowing, like, snow blowing his driveway, or is he doing, like, other people's too? Only his. Okay. Well, maybe he just likes to use the snowblower. He doesn't, like, get to use it enough.

01:41:40 - 01:41:43 | Speaker 3:

That could be. Like, he's not doing it out of spite.

01:41:44 - 01:41:57 | Speaker 5:

The guy with the snowblower, can he come and snow blow? I just rubbed my ankle, and I need someone to come through my nose. Oh, you're so great. So I would love it if he could bring that over and help me out.

01:41:57 - 01:42:06 | Speaker 3:

You're so sweet. That is so sweet of you. We got to figure out. We'll send Zach over to your way. Initial G. Of course, yeah. G wants to be voice disguised. What's going on?

01:42:07 - 01:43:02 | Speaker 1:

Hi, yeah. I'm just worried about my neighbor listening. but i wanted to come that she actually hired and like inspect um the the bug service where they come spray your lawn yeah yeah she hired them to come do my property and then gave them my name and address and had them bill me oh that's weird are there a bunch of bugs and critters at your house no well it's like we're by the water so we get like a lot of you know grass bugs in the summer and yeah she just hired them and billed me and then the stuff didn't even work it was crap oh my god that's crazy you're not you don't have to pay that then it wasn't you that i know i i i didn't have to okay good when they sent me the bill i was laughing and i called them and told

01:43:02 - 01:43:09 | Speaker 3:

them like i never signed anything with you yeah that's that's way out of their they should not be

01:43:09 - 01:43:31 | Speaker 4:

doing that uh cheyenne what's going on um so i was leaving for work and my neighbor was out on his like atv thing with the plow and all that and he like motioned and asked if i wanted him to do the driveway and i said yeah and then when my husband got home later he like had a bill for him and made I'm just paying like 20 bucks for doing it. That's crazy.

01:43:32 - 01:43:38 | Speaker 3:

That's insane. That is absolutely insane. So did you guys pay it or did he take you to collection?

01:43:39 - 01:43:42 | Speaker 4:

So it was kind of awkward, but never again.

01:43:43 - 01:43:55 | Speaker 3:

That's insane, though, that they would do that to you. What's up, Sean? Hi. How's it going? Good, man. I want to get Hunter back on the phone to give him another hypothetical. Like the guy we talked to earlier, but what's going on?

01:43:55 - 01:44:18 | Speaker 6:

i had the same thing happen that you were talking about i live next door i have a corner house and there's two uh two middle eastern families so the women are always outside shoveling so i decided to just do the driveway to the sidewalk for them and like the next day i got approached by both the husbands like it happened about like an hour apart they're like you know i appreciate

01:44:18 - 01:44:27 | Speaker 2:

it but don't do that anymore it's like okay yeah can that be explained well i don't know exactly

01:44:27 - 01:44:41 | Speaker 3:

if this is the case but from what i understood you know these guys were at work and they were working so the wives wanted to get it done and i think that when you're doing that you're disrespecting their manhood or their it's like you're disrespecting their wife from what my

01:44:41 - 01:44:47 | Speaker 6:

they bring they bring stuff over to the house but they do it when my wife is there they never

01:44:47 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 2:

approach me or anything yes because you're a man so i get that but like if you're outside and not interacting with them how is that crossing a line and not just being hopeful yeah yeah

01:45:00 - 01:45:07 | Speaker 4:

I don't know, and I don't know the cultural part of it, but I will tell you this, that I never want to disrespect another man's wife.

01:45:08 - 01:45:11 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely. I'm just curious. I've never heard about this.

01:45:11 - 01:45:45 | Speaker 4:

Unless they're letting me come in the house to warm up after I just snowboard. By the way, Hunter's reaction might have been my favorite. What if... Text the show anytime at 95500. This is Mojo in the Morning. All right, here's a question for you. This question is one that happened yesterday. If somebody sends you a message or calls you and says, hey, can you give me so-and-so's phone number, do I have to call so-and-so to ask for their permission before I give you their phone number?

01:45:45 - 01:45:46 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Oh, I say yes.

01:45:47 - 01:45:47 | Speaker 4:

Yes, you say?

01:45:48 - 01:45:52 | Speaker 2:

You don't have to call him, but I would send him a text and say, hey, is it okay if I share your contact info with whomever?

01:45:52 - 01:45:54 | Speaker 4:

I agree. Kevin says yes. What about you, Megan?

01:45:54 - 01:46:03 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I don't know. I think it depends on, like, the situation. I would be very curious to know what the situation was.

01:46:03 - 01:46:17 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so let me tell you the situation. I say the situation is this. Kevin yesterday sent me a text message, and I have proof of this text message. I put it in our topics here if you'd like to take a look at it.

01:46:17 - 01:46:18 | Speaker 1:

Yes, you did.

01:46:18 - 01:46:42 | Speaker 4:

Where he sent me a text saying, hey, send me producer Ellen's phone number. I want to give her a call. You heard me on the air yesterday talk about how we ran into Ellen when we were in Chicago. And while we were there, I jokingly said to Ellen, I said, you know what? You never got a chance to work with Kevin. And Ellen loves her guys that are black. She likes black guys.

01:46:43 - 01:46:49 | Speaker 2:

She always used to say her dream guy looked like Drake, you know?

01:46:49 - 01:47:49 | Speaker 4:

So she would tell me that from time to time. So Kevin, I said, you would love Kevin. He's a great guy. He's got a great smile. He's got great energy. So I drunk dialed Kevin. Yes, I was drunk. And Kevin tries to say, I drunk dialed Kevin with Chelsea and Ellen there. And I handed the phone over to Kevin, you know, to say hi to Ellen. Well, they just talked really quick, had a quick conversation. It was nothing more than just hi, whatever, you know, the whole deal. I think Ellen was embarrassed, whatever. Kevin was embarrassed. Well, yesterday he sent me a text, and his text message that he sent me was, hey, send me Ellen's phone number. So I sent Ellen a text message, and my text message to Ellen was, I go, here, I'll read it verbatim for you so that you can actually hear it. I said, can I give Kev your number? She goes, please don't. Is that not an Ellen response?

01:47:49 - 01:48:04 | Speaker 2:

That is absolutely the response I was expecting. Sometimes I forget how bad you are at matching up people until I know the two people you're trying to match up, and I go, you're a terrible matchmaker. How are we matching them? She's dating somebody.

01:48:06 - 01:48:08 | Speaker 4:

She's still alive.

01:48:09 - 01:48:11 | Speaker 2:

You don't respect anybody's boundaries.

01:48:11 - 01:48:20 | Speaker 4:

So then I answer back with a crying, laughing emoji, and I say, okay. And she goes, thank you. I hearted that. I send it to Kevin.

01:48:22 - 01:48:23 | Speaker 1:

And I probably sent some crying emojis back.

01:48:23 - 01:48:24 | Speaker 4:

No, I heard this.

01:48:26 - 01:48:45 | Speaker 1:

That's not going to happen my way. I mean, obviously, I'm not trying to get with Ellen, but you did call me drunk as hell, which was an amazing conversation that we had. Put Ellen on the phone. She confirmed that you all were drunk. And then I said, man, what's your number? She was like, get it from Tom. Oh, she did say that. That's the only reason I asked you for it.

01:48:46 - 01:48:49 | Speaker 2:

It's not like that was a polite way of saying no, right?

01:48:49 - 01:48:57 | Speaker 1:

It could have been. But I'm saying, it's not like I'm trying to get her number out the blue. But that's my thing. Don't be polite with me. If I can have your number, tell me I can have your number.

01:48:58 - 01:49:05 | Speaker 4:

If I can't have your number, tell me I can't have your number. Interesting. I did not know she said that. Now this story changes a little bit. Amanda, what's going on? How you doing?

01:49:06 - 01:49:08 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, guys. Good morning.

01:49:08 - 01:49:14 | Speaker 4:

Amanda, did I do it all right? Did I, by calling her and asking her or texting her and asking her if I can give out her number?

01:49:16 - 01:49:22 | Speaker 3:

Definitely. I don't like when people give out my number, so I always call and make sure it's okay. That's a respect thing.

01:49:22 - 01:49:26 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Let me ask you this question. Can I have your number so I can give it to Kevin?

01:49:28 - 01:49:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, heck yeah. I love it.

01:49:30 - 01:49:34 | Speaker 4:

So you would have no problem giving up your phone number to Kevin, right?

01:49:35 - 01:49:46 | Speaker 3:

No way. We can go hang out. Actually, Kevin and I met before at the Rochester Bake. Which one was it called? Go Cougars, Kevin. Hey, go Cougars. Yeah.

01:49:47 - 01:49:53 | Speaker 4:

I did not know that Ellen said, get the number from me. Now that changes it. I'm going to have to give her some crap for that. What's up, Gretchen? How you doing?

01:49:54 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good. May not want to say my name, but I was going to get a bizarre phone call about 10.

01:50:00 - 01:50:25 | Speaker 2:

months after a breakup um and my ex his fiancee gave my number to her ex to contact me so on on what god's green earth would i ever randomly think that i would date or you know even go out with my ex's ex that's weird now that's it's you know it was it was that was intrusive yeah that's wild

01:50:25 - 01:50:53 | Speaker 7:

they were trying to give out the number of all people that's wild well it it was not i don't there were no good intentions involved in that yeah it's i i wonder if they were doing it to make fun of you like that makes me sad that they would do something like that now my standards are much higher thank you for the call what's up uh listener megan hi hi what's going on uh so i just

01:50:53 - 01:51:16 | Speaker 5:

it's not about a dating thing but i'm a an eye doctor and my favorite is when i get texts out of the blue and it's like so-and-so gave me your number and then they ask medical questions a lot of times not even about the eyes and i'm like oh like i really appreciate when people say hey so and so wants to ask you a question can i give them your number and i'll always say yes but when it comes out of the blue i'm like goodness gracious like i'm not everybody's doctor all over

01:51:16 - 01:51:48 | Speaker 7:

that has to be a tough one yeah yeah that that is that's wild when people will uh will do that to professionals that like a doctor and i always feel weird if i have a doctor's cell phone should i call them you know in the office or call them on their cell phone like dr patel who's here in just a couple minutes my heart doctor like i have a cell phone number i would never call him and say hey dr patel can you give me a little advice on this i would always call mary his his nurse or call the hospital you know what i mean like is that weird no i you would call his phone i send

01:51:48 - 01:51:51 | Speaker 5:

videos and pictures to all the medical people in my life and i go john you go to the hospital

01:51:51 - 01:52:00 | Speaker 7:

natasha has a comment to make on this what's up natasha hi um i was just i was thinking that

01:52:00 - 01:52:13 | Speaker 6:

if ellen was seriously seeing someone she would have told kev oh i'm seeing someone like i can't i won't give out my number i feel like it's kind of not necessarily rude but impolite to kev to They get it from Tom.

01:52:14 - 01:52:15 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, that's interesting.

01:52:15 - 01:52:16 | Speaker 6:

I don't think so.

01:52:17 - 01:52:28 | Speaker 7:

Well, I do agree with you. Like, I think maybe, and she also could have been joking when she said that. So I don't know the context of it. But you never know. Jacqueline, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi.

01:52:30 - 01:52:49 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I think it's always good to ask permission, even, especially she was drunk. I think it was right to ask. Yeah. And because, obviously, she changed her mind. And also, like, pictures, too. Like, I have friends that sometimes I try to set them up with guys that I don't go out with. And I always ask, like, can I send them your picture and stuff like that.

01:52:50 - 01:52:53 | Speaker 7:

Okay, yeah. So that's it. Like, sending pictures is an interesting one.

01:52:53 - 01:52:54 | Speaker 3:

Another good example, yeah.

01:52:54 - 01:53:03 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, because it's weird if somebody goes, yeah, by the way, I ended up getting a picture of you. And you're like, wait a second. What picture did they send? TC, what's up?

01:53:04 - 01:53:07 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. Good day. How are you guys today? Oh, my gosh.

01:53:07 - 01:53:10 | Speaker 7:

You have a lot of caffeine in you. What's happening?

01:53:10 - 01:53:15 | Speaker 4:

I haven't had any caffeine. This is me without caffeine, Mojo. I love it, TC.

01:53:15 - 01:53:15 | Speaker 7:

What's up?

01:53:17 - 01:53:36 | Speaker 4:

So I have a tax pal, like a pen pal, but a tax pal. Yeah. Just some random number. Carter was like, Coach, are we going to do Pilates today? And I'm like, no, you got the wrong number. And she was like, oh, you're so nice and kind. And now we're friends. Her name is Mia. She stays in California.

01:53:36 - 01:53:37 | Speaker 7:

Oh, wow.

01:53:37 - 01:53:38 | Speaker 4:

Coffee.

01:53:38 - 01:53:39 | Speaker 7:

Can I have Mia's phone number?

01:53:40 - 01:53:45 | Speaker 4:

I'm an actor That's kind of cool

01:53:45 - 01:53:58 | Speaker 7:

You would be a perfect person to have as a friend As a little pet Because you sound so great Look who's back with us Hunter's back with us Hunter, what's going on This isn't the same Hunter I just talked to

01:53:58 - 01:54:02 | Speaker 3:

This is Yes sir, yes it is How do you have that much energy

01:54:02 - 01:54:05 | Speaker 7:

You were very mellow last time I talked to you

01:54:05 - 01:54:08 | Speaker 3:

Because now I'm about to get my academics up Just got to Wayne State

01:54:08 - 01:54:31 | Speaker 7:

So you heard us talking about you just a second ago because your phone call was so damn funny. Hypothetically, let me ask you this question, Hunter. Hunter, if you were friends with Ellen, our former producer, and Kevin asked for the phone number and Ellen said no, would you still give the number and make it seem like Kevin stole it from me?

01:54:32 - 01:54:48 | Speaker 3:

Absolutely not. Absolutely not. I don't care who it is. if it's a guy asking for a guy's number a girl asking for a girl's number i always make sure to ask if it's okay if i can send their number over and if if it's a no then buddy it's a no

01:54:48 - 01:55:00 | Speaker 7:

i'm sorry i'm not like that you know what's funny i bet you if kevin asked megan who megan's best buddies with ellen she would trust her more on the setup than she would trust me because I'm

01:55:00 - 01:55:02 | Speaker 4:

I'm such a bad, you know, wingman here.

01:55:02 - 01:55:03 | Speaker 1:

She knows I would never set them up.

01:55:04 - 01:55:05 | Speaker 4:

Oh, why?

01:55:05 - 01:55:12 | Speaker 1:

They would, you think they would be a good couple. You don't think that that would be a good one? Absolutely not. In what way is Kev her type?

01:55:13 - 01:55:15 | Speaker 4:

Why would you say that about Kevin? What's wrong with Kevin?

01:55:15 - 01:55:22 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I love Kevin, but he is, he is a huge personality and she likes somebody more reserved.

01:55:22 - 01:55:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Yes. Oh, okay. I think everyone has a certain type until they meet the person that's for them. And I think when you meet the right person, whatever type you thought you had may not be the type you think you needed. But I'm not trying to get with Ellen. Ellen is a beautiful person. Maybe I'm not her type yet. He wants a friendship. Here's the thing, though. I know whenever you have your 25-year celebration or your Hall of Fame celebration, Ellen and I will be in the same place and we'll have our own conversation. Oh, really? Okay. That's all it is. All right. I like it. Shout out to Ellen, though.

01:55:57 - 01:56:03 | Speaker 4:

I might DM her. There you go. That's what you know, that's actually the way to get it. You just go into the DMs.

01:56:03 - 01:56:06 | Speaker 2:

I was going to be like, I'm going to Chicago. No big deal.

01:56:07 - 01:56:09 | Speaker 3:

I like to send voice notes now. I'm a voice note guy.

01:56:09 - 01:56:13 | Speaker 2:

I hear you every morning sending voice notes to people.

01:56:15 - 01:56:22 | Speaker 1:

Ellen's listening. Today's weather forecast is holy crap. Oh, holy cow. It's so cold that my boogers freeze when I breathe.

01:56:22 - 01:56:27 | Speaker 4:

This is Mojo in the Morning. We're going to give you some Justin Timberlake tickets.

01:56:56 - 01:57:17 | Speaker 4:

Will you guys do me a favor? Would you guys be on your best behavior when the heart surgeon who saved my life, Dr. Patel, walks in the studio here? And we'll bring him in. Lydia, you can actually bring him in if you want to during the dirty here while we're doing the dirty, and we'll talk to him right afterwards. But everybody, be nice. Make me look like I actually eat healthy. Like, don't.

01:57:17 - 01:57:19 | Speaker 2:

Look around you. What do you got around you? Is that big, huge coffee open?

01:57:19 - 01:57:23 | Speaker 4:

I got to throw the Doritos out of here and stuff like that. All right. What do you got in this hour's dirty?

01:57:23 - 01:58:36 | Speaker 2:

Well, my husband wasn't the only one inspired by Kendrick Lamar's jeans during the Super Bowl halftime show. Talked about this yesterday. Those flared jeans nearly stole the show. And if you were watching, you noticed that custom-made varsity jacket that had Gloria across the front. He was wearing a black T-shirt, backwards baseball hat, black and white sneakers, a diamond necklace with that lowercase A on it for A minor. And, of course, those jeans. Well, it turns out those jeans were designed by Heidi Slimane for Celine, made their debut during a spring-summer 2020 fashion show for Celine back in 2019. So they're not new. I mean, he may have had them in his closet, for all we know. But if you want a pair, good luck, because those exact jeans will cost you a cool $1,300. They're $1,300? And they're by Celine. They're by Celine. Oh, my God. They're also sold, like, you can't get them anywhere. You could get, it's so funny. A lot of the different websites that are, like, covering what he wore are providing you with links to similar and cheaper styles. But those exact ones, you cannot get your hands on.

01:58:36 - 01:59:01 | Speaker 4:

I think everybody liked the way he also was wearing them. Not even just the flare at the bottom, but the way that he was wearing them made a lot of people go, that's how you should wear your jeans, which is interesting because I felt like he was wearing them pretty low, and they were kind of dragging the ground a little bit. And I always feel like that's what happens to my jeans because I can't ever get a belt to keep my pants on. But I looked at that. I thought the whole outfit was the thing. I mean, the shoes were great. The hat, obviously, was great.

01:59:02 - 01:59:11 | Speaker 3:

That A necklace was great. The jewelry, man. Kendrick has not really been one to wear a lot of jewelry. It's very interesting. Post-Drake beef. He's been a diamond guy.

01:59:11 - 01:59:29 | Speaker 4:

Kevin sent me a TikTok where a guy showed off every watch of everybody that was wearing watches at the Super Bowl. And I could not believe some of the watches that just randomly some of the celebrities were wearing. Bert Kreischer was wearing a watch that was almost, you know, I don't know, like $200,000 watch.

01:59:29 - 01:59:32 | Speaker 2:

Those are houses. Houses.

01:59:32 - 01:59:37 | Speaker 4:

How did he make that much money that he can afford a $200,000 watch?

01:59:37 - 01:59:38 | Speaker 1:

Really? He came out with a movie last year.

01:59:38 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 2:

Did you guys hear the story about the reporter who died last week covering the Super Bowl in New Orleans? He was killed, right? Okay, so this story is getting weirder and weirder. So a career criminal who hustles men and often basically drugs them before robbing them is how police describe the Louisiana woman.

02:00:00 - 02:00:04 | Speaker 6:

who has now been charged in connection with the death of that reporter who was in New Orleans

02:00:04 - 02:00:30 | Speaker 2:

covering the Super Bowl. These are the last known images of a Don Manzano showing the Telemundo sports reporter entering a Louisiana hotel at 3 46 a.m. last Wednesday. 12 hours later he was found dead. The woman seen with him is Danette Colbert who is now charged with using his credit card after he died. The surveillance images obtained by DailyMail.com. Police said they're working to determine whether Manzano was drugged before his death. They've said Colbert has a history of

02:00:30 - 02:00:43 | Speaker 3:

drugging men. Ms. Colbert has quite a record and rap sheet for confidence games. Ms. Colbert's criminal history does include two instances where she drugged a victim. Since the 48-year-old's

02:00:43 - 02:00:58 | Speaker 2:

arrest, police said they've been contacted by people claiming to be her victims. Police have not said where they believe she met Manzano, but she is believed to be the last person to see him alive the 27 year old widowed father of a two-year-old was in new orleans to cover the super

02:00:58 - 02:01:09 | Speaker 6:

bowl yeah he just lost his wife in a really tragic car accident last april and so a mad i mean the little girl it's just the saddest story but this woman i mean she's got a list of victims in vegas

02:01:09 - 02:01:21 | Speaker 4:

all over the place that's a date line i gotta be honest with you going to the super bowl will be fun going to the super bowl and then dying by a hooker killing you and that's the news story that

02:01:21 - 02:01:26 | Speaker 6:

you end your life on no poor guy that poor little girl that's all i can think about that guy i mean

02:01:26 - 02:01:31 | Speaker 4:

forever that you know people are going to be talking about that yeah drake was on stage

02:01:31 - 02:01:47 | Speaker 6:

venting about his exes just hours before two of them serena williams and sizza hit the super bowl stage with his sworn enemy kendrick lamar he was actually performing in australia on sunday but shading some past girlfriends who he say absolutely played him

02:01:47 - 02:02:18 | Speaker 4:

If you ever in your life gave you time, gave you energy, gave you money, gave you heart, gave you soul, gave everything that you ever had to somebody and they played with you and wasted your time, wasted your energy, wasted your money, I want y'all to turn up to this song. This is for all y'all exes and everybody that they can bring you in their f***ing life.

02:02:18 - 02:02:24 | Speaker 6:

And then we watched Kendrick. That timing is impeccable.

02:02:25 - 02:02:27 | Speaker 4:

At the exact time that the Super Bowl was going on, he's up on stage performing.

02:02:27 - 02:02:29 | Speaker 6:

Like two hours, three hours beforehand.

02:02:30 - 02:02:41 | Speaker 4:

Isn't that great? I wondered if he was going to be watching that thing, you know? New Drake album, Friday, we'll party next door. Supposed to be something for the ladies. Sexy songs for you is what it's called.

02:02:41 - 02:02:48 | Speaker 6:

Selena Gomez addressing the controversies surrounding her Emilia Perez co-star, Carla Sofia Gascon.

02:02:49 - 02:02:55 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I'm sorry. I'm like, oh, really? Tell me more. And then I had to play the clip.

02:02:55 - 02:03:11 | Speaker 1:

Some of the magic has disappeared, but I choose to continue to be proud of what I've done, and I'm just grateful. I live with no regrets, and I would do this movie over and over again if I could.

02:03:11 - 02:03:25 | Speaker 5:

What a voice. Lots of offensive tweets. Oh, my God. Lots of offensive tweets. That's what she sounded like for a while now. I love her. This movie is terrible. Please don't keep remaking it. And it's up for the Best Picture Academy Award.

02:03:25 - 02:03:26 | Speaker 6:

I don't know how.

02:03:26 - 02:03:41 | Speaker 5:

It's nominated for more Oscars than any other movie. And it's one of the worst things I've ever seen in my entire life. I will also say, though, the things that the lead actress was tweeting about Selena Gomez, like calling her rat and untrustworthy, it's wild.

02:03:41 - 02:03:47 | Speaker 4:

I gotta tell you The Only Murders in the Building Is a good one Oh I haven't seen it It's really good

02:03:47 - 02:03:51 | Speaker 6:

Well, congratulations to you.

02:04:45 - 02:04:47 | Speaker 1:

02:05:00 - 02:06:28 | Speaker 1:

Our next guest here in the Mojo in the Morning studios is in studio with us this morning and means so much to me because without him, I'd be dead. Isn't that interesting? Like, you know, sometimes you sit there and you say to yourself, you're like, oh, this person means a lot to me. And all the person is, is somebody that maybe occasionally buys you a drink or something. This man saved my life. Literally. Yes. And I will tell you that his hospital that he's at, which, by the way, all of our listeners in not only the metro Detroit area, Toledo, but also everybody on the west side of the state, Michigan Medicine is where you want to go for your heart health. If you have any issues at all, Michigan Medicine and, of course, now, oh, that's a good song. This song is called A Heart Attack. This is a perfect song for me. Please welcome my good friend, Dr. Patel, into the studio with us this morning. dr patel uh who is the doctor that you want to go to if you got in any kind of uh aortic aneurysm this is the guy you go to and i learned that believe it or not from a competitive hospital i learned it when i went and did a consultation at cleveland clinic and the cleveland clinic doctors said to me did you check out u of m and i'm like boy this is kind of weird it's kind of like going to mcdonald's and them telling you to go to burger king for the whopper you know And I'm like, why are they doing this? And they said, the doctor said to me, he goes, you got one of the best there in your town. And I went to Dr. Patel, and the rest is all history. How are you, Dr. Patel? Are you doing good?

02:06:29 - 02:06:30 | Speaker 2:

I'm doing great. Thank you for having me.

02:06:30 - 02:06:37 | Speaker 1:

Welcome to our studios. You visited us at our last studios. How much nicer is this place than the last place, huh?

02:06:37 - 02:06:40 | Speaker 2:

It's a very unique place. Isn't it wild? It is.

02:06:41 - 02:07:16 | Speaker 1:

Is that a good unique? I don't know. It's a great unique. Is it? Yeah. It is. It's interesting. Like people, when they come here, they're, they're always like, wow, this is kind of a, well, and then they come in and they're like, this is really interesting. Like it's the, the artistic stuff, but, but Dr. Patel, I still can't believe it, but it was 2021, January 13th that I had my, my surgery. It was a nine hour procedure and my wife still talks about it cause it was COVID going on at that time. And she said it was the longest nine hours of her life. And for me, I don't remember a thing.

02:07:17 - 02:07:20 | Speaker 2:

You know? Yeah, that's the beautiful thing about anesthesia.

02:07:22 - 02:07:37 | Speaker 1:

You know what I do remember, though? I remember Coldplay playing as you guys were wheeling me. It wasn't you. It was your people. They were wheeling me into the operating room. I remember seeing you in the operating room. It was cold as hell. I mean, what temperature do you guys keep the operating room at?

02:07:37 - 02:07:47 | Speaker 2:

So when we're actually doing the surgery, it'll be in the low 60s. Oh, my God. How do you handle that? Well, we're dressed. Yeah. So we've got all kinds of other stuff on.

02:07:47 - 02:07:51 | Speaker 1:

What is the reasoning for how cold it is? Why is that? So you guys don't fall asleep or what is it?

02:07:52 - 02:08:15 | Speaker 2:

No, actually, so when we stop the heart, we don't want the ambient air to warm the heart. And so one of the things that, because the cold heart doesn't use as much nutrition. Okay. And so when we're not, we're not giving it blood constantly. And so what we actually do is we keep the environment cold. And actually, when you're on the heart lung machine, we cool your body down a little bit.

02:08:15 - 02:08:28 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Wow. It was wild. And all I remember is my hand, I was positioned in a weird way, too. Like, that was another thing, too, because when I woke up, my shoulders were hurting me. Like hands over your head? Wasn't I? Where was I? How was I positioned? Straight down, was it? Straight down. Okay.

02:08:28 - 02:08:30 | Speaker 2:

It's a very uncomfortable bed, so.

02:08:30 - 02:09:31 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. It's like, honestly, if you said to me, that's the bed I'm sleeping on, I'd be like, give me a new hotel. it was definitely uh painful but um here's something to bring up and i people don't even when when i um mentioned that i had this heart aneurysm that i had potential of having surgery on it a lot of people didn't even know you could have an aneurysm in your heart and it's it's a hidden killer of a lot of people that are way younger than even me i've talked to 20 year olds that, uh, now find out that they have an aneurysm. Um, I've talked to many, many women and men who are our listeners that have said that since the, uh, awareness of me talking about this, it caused for them to go to their doctors and say, Hey, can I do a test, uh, so that I can get checked out to see what's going on. And a lot of people went and got calcium score tests and did all kinds of stuff. I'd ask you preventative wise. One of the biggest things is your blood pressure right just making sure you don't elevate blood pressure yes a blood pressure

02:09:31 - 02:09:47 | Speaker 2:

is always important for multiple reasons but particularly if you've got an aneurysm um no smoking and then uh the one thing that that i think is sometimes forgotten is if somebody has a family history of an aortic aneurysm there's about a 20 chance their first degree relatives

02:09:47 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 1:

will actually have it oh my gosh can i tell you can i tell you you were the reason why my whole family has gotten checked out. My kids are getting checked out, but my brothers and sisters and out of the six of us siblings, three of us.

02:10:00 - 02:10:36 | Speaker 3:

us are you kidding yeah so half of us have have some form of uh like my my two sisters luckily theirs is a small is smaller than what mine was to have to have the surgery but eventually one day they might have to have that same surgery did they get tested after you found out wow yeah and i forced everybody to go do it because it to me the her and this is something that u of m is really big on michigan medicine is big on um you know a lot of things happen hereditary you know they're And they have, you put me in touch with people in a special department that actually tested me out, which was awesome.

02:10:36 - 02:10:55 | Speaker 1:

Dr. Patel, if this, if it is not hereditary, excuse me, I don't have anybody in my family who's ever had an aortic aneurysm or, you know, any heart issues. What are though, I'm a 42 year old female. What are signs or symptoms that I should absolutely go get checked for anything related to my heart?

02:10:55 - 02:11:34 | Speaker 2:

So, you know, unfortunately, there are no signs or symptoms unless something bad happens generally. Or if it involves the area where the aortic valve sits and the valve is dysfunctional. And so people can get shortness of breath or chest pains for different reasons. But most of the time, it's actually doesn't cause any symptoms. And patients are often very, very shocked that they have this diagnosis. So, for example, you know, you had this probably for years. It was growing inside of you, and it was probably only incidentally found because, you know, people are looking for other things.

02:11:35 - 02:12:28 | Speaker 3:

Women always are the ones that we talk to so many women every morning, and I want you to know that this week, Michigan Medicine and Mojo in the Morning, we're going to celebrate the fact that it is Heart Month, but we're going to celebrate the fact that we want women to become more aware of their health. So many times, Shannon, somebody of your age with two young kids like you will look at you're just tired or, you know, you've got a busy life or the symptoms might be I got I got, you know, these headaches all the time, but I get migraines all the time because my kids are a pain in the ass, you know, stuff like that. And a lot of times they will discount everything until it becomes something that they have to go in for or God forbid they die from it. And I think that we need to make it more of an awareness factor that you have to look for signs, but also you've got to talk to your, you know, primary cares and say to your primary cares, Hey, I'm, I want to be proactive when it comes to this. Yeah. So if, particularly if you

02:12:28 - 02:12:56 | Speaker 2:

get older, if you've got a smoking history, um, if there's definitely, if there's a family history, these aneurysms can happen anywhere in the aorta, which spans the whole body. It's the main highway for blood. And so there, if you're older, for example, and you're a smoker, um, particularly the abdominal aorta may be at risk. And there's ultrasound screening that is relatively straightforward and easy to do and that you may qualify for. So absolutely talking to your

02:12:56 - 02:13:20 | Speaker 3:

primary care doctors is really, really crucial. For those that are listening to us on WSNX, number one in West Michigan, will you tell them the great news that you guys have been out there for a bit? I think some people don't even realize that Michigan Medicine has the ability to be able to do heart health for you out there. Where's that at? So a few years, three years ago, we started

02:13:20 - 02:14:00 | Speaker 2:

the newest open heart program in the state of Michigan at University of Michigan Health West. And it's a unique program because it's a collaboration between Michigan Medicine and Trinity Health for the hospitals on the west side of the state. And our cardiac surgery faculty actually function both at the Trinity Hospital as well as University of Michigan Health West in grand rapids and we're proud to say that the outcomes have been excellent we have good partnerships out there and um they're obviously tied to the frankl cardiovascular center which coincidentally is celebrating its 25th and that amazing yeah which i'm celebrating my 25th yeah

02:14:00 - 02:14:39 | Speaker 3:

so mojo in the morning celebrating a 25th anniversary um dr patel to you to the frankl family to all the people that are working at the frankl cardiovascular center thank you thank you for making us more aware thank you for making and I hope that I'm a good mouthpiece for you for giving me the ability to be a mouthpiece for you guys because I shout your guys names you know from the rafters and I talk about I call Dr. Patel's nurse Mary all the time Mary you gotta help me I got a friend or you know or Chris I call Chris I need an appointment for somebody so you guys have saved so many people that I love and me number one

02:14:39 - 02:14:45 | Speaker 2:

thank you it's been a pleasure taking care of you and i hope you guys i hope you guys never have to

02:14:45 - 02:15:06 | Speaker 3:

be ever seen by him but uh as i said to juan howard who's one of your patients back in uh after his surgery who you operated also on i said to him i go how does it feel to to know that you had the best of the best and he We'll be right back. I mean, literally, thank God he was a coach at U of M at the time that he was a coach. He got to actually be there and be part, be so close.

02:15:07 - 02:15:17 | Speaker 2:

So I got to say, it's not just me, right? The people at the University of Michigan, the nurses, the people who participate in patient care are the absolute best. And we couldn't do what we do without them.

02:15:17 - 02:15:18 | Speaker 1:

It's a team.

02:15:18 - 02:15:19 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it really is.

02:15:19 - 02:15:36 | Speaker 1:

Real quick, because I love what I do. I feel like this is using my voice. I feel like God gave me the ability to do that. And I feel like I'm operating in purpose. But you literally are operating. How does it feel to save people's lives? Is that what you feel like is your calling? What is that like?

02:15:38 - 02:16:00 | Speaker 2:

I'm very grateful for this opportunity. Very few people have the chance to help patients or people feel better. And out of everything that I've ever done, this doesn't feel like a job to me, but it's something that's very different and very special, and I'm very grateful to be able to do it with the people that I do it with. But this guy's a special guy.

02:16:00 - 02:16:19 | Speaker 3:

He really is. Listen, when I first met him, I'm like, oh, you know, he's a smart doctor or whatever. I was, like, very excited about this thing. I've gotten to know him personally and see that he's a family man. He cares about every single person that walks through that door. You can see it in his eyes. It's awesome. He's amazing. And he likes wine. And he likes to travel. Oh, is wine good for your heart, Dr. Patel?

02:16:19 - 02:16:23 | Speaker 2:

Tell me more. It is in very small quantities. Dang it, Dr. Patel.

02:16:23 - 02:16:46 | Speaker 1:

In by small quantities, you mean full bottles, right? This is the Midwest's number one morning show. And that's kind of sad. Mojo in the Morning. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live.

02:16:49 - 02:19:44 | Speaker 3:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. uh go check out on our mojo in the morning show instagram facebook and all the social medias uh abby who's our mojo's mouth makeover winner from reynolds orthodontics she is so cute she is so can i tell you something not only is she you know a beautiful person she's a beautiful personality she is so i've never seen usually you know we've given away cars houses paid off mortgages done all that stuff we gave her this new smile opportunity from reynolds orthodontics she has never been a happier person than you can tell when she was in there doing the the consultation and then went in and they started you know putting on all the braces and stuff um she's so excited about being able to smile and i said to her i go you're already gorgeous as as it stands this is going to transform you in a huge way so um yeah so uh my amazing smile.com but also on mojo in the morning uh zach what did you label the war of the roses from earlier we're going to play that again should we should we label that as uh the uh the bad roommate or something or which which we label that as i forget uh what you did it as on the war of the roses because that was a roommate cheating with her her boyfriends uh god that in the story that somebody just gave us just a second ago maybe they'll call us up and do it on the air about how their boyfriend and their roommate had been cheating the entire time only to find out that they were using her just to even pay the rent so so not only do you have somebody that's using you for your your roof over your head but using you for your boyfriend uh it's time now for am i the a-hole on mojo in the morning. This is where you call us up and ask us whether or not we think you're an a-hole for something that you're doing. And then we'll give you honest answers. Let our listeners give you honest answers. You can go to our iHeartRadio app, search Mojo in the morning through channel 955 in Detroit. And then that talkback microphone, you can leave us a talkback if you have an Am I the a-hole let's see what this one is today hold on one second i uh have the wrong button pushed up i'm supposed to put a push up this button right here here you go here's my brother recently asked me for a loan and i said no am i an a-hole for that her brother asked her for a loan and she said no to it well no i don't think by the way you don't first off you're not loaning money to anybody especially family you're always giving it to them because i always say that they'll never pay you back but you got to be careful this could divide a family let's ask sarah more details about

02:19:44 - 02:19:52 | Speaker 3:

this first off sarah are you there hi yeah so what what first off what does he want to loan for What does he need a loan for?

02:19:53 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 4:

So, like, I don't even know. He usually has money troubles. I think, I don't know if he gambles.

02:20:00 - 02:20:02 | Speaker 1:

but yeah he didn't tell me

02:20:02 - 02:20:21 | Speaker 4:

okay so you say am I an a-hole because he asked you for a loan and you said no I don't think so I mean first off are you rich or something like why is he coming to you for this like you know if you're somebody that's got like Jeff Bezos' money then I'm going to say okay give him a loan

02:20:21 - 02:20:36 | Speaker 1:

no I'd still say no I just got a raise at work but But I don't know how he found out about it. And it's not like I'm rich. I'm just like I'm finally like feeling comfortable.

02:20:37 - 02:20:42 | Speaker 4:

So you just got a raise and then he coincidentally comes to you asking for a loan?

02:20:43 - 02:20:43 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:20:43 - 02:20:45 | Speaker 4:

He knows that you got a raise?

02:20:46 - 02:20:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I don't know how he found out, but he said that he heard and like congratulated me.

02:20:52 - 02:20:54 | Speaker 4:

And then he said, hey, can you lend me money?

02:20:54 - 02:20:55 | Speaker 3:

Just blatant.

02:20:55 - 02:21:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I find it interesting when people will take advantage of family and take advantage of the fact that you're the one that goes to work every single day and obviously does a great job that they gave you a raise. And now the guy wants, you know, does he have a job?

02:21:14 - 02:21:32 | Speaker 1:

Like he does and he's always living in a paycheck. He just like makes stupid decisions about money. And, but like he's my brother. so like shouldn't i be helping him guilt trip because like family i don't know i feel this on

02:21:32 - 02:22:00 | Speaker 5:

a spiritual level i mean i think you have to set a boundary for yourself and communicate that boundary with your brother if it is something that you're going to do i think if you do it you do it with the intention of hey this is going to be my last time i'm not here to support whatever a habit i'm not here to claim you on my taxes because you are dependent in my life but i love you here's blank blank blank blank blank but don't come back asking see i say the total opposite i

02:22:00 - 02:22:33 | Speaker 3:

say i love you but i know unfortunately that this is fueling a habit that is not good for you and so i'm not gonna let you borrow this money because i love you like if it's gambling or something like you said and he's got an issue you know it's not going to a good place unfortunately now my answer would be very different by the way if he needed it for something else yeah like if something big came up in his life like or like he was gonna get kicked out of his apartment or you know his car broke down like something like that I would have a very different answer but because it's specifically

02:22:33 - 02:22:57 | Speaker 4:

this but what it just makes me uncomfortable what if this would eventually lead to him getting kicked out of his apartment are you still gonna want to give it to him if the guy's making poor decisions that got to that point like i i think there's to me i would say and i see where kevin saying i'll give it to you this one time but the problem is you'll have resentment for the rest of your life on that why because you'll help them out and you'll see them blow it piss it away on

02:22:57 - 02:23:12 | Speaker 5:

some stupid crap it's like it's like it's like a less fortunate person on the side of the road i i'd rather give it to them than give it to my family my thing is i can't worry so much about what you're gonna do with it once i give it to you my part is done i i can only be responsible

02:23:12 - 02:23:15 | Speaker 2:

with what i'll do yeah but the person on the side of the road isn't going to hurt you your family

02:23:15 - 02:23:21 | Speaker 4:

member might well especially well what if they because you you are going to be in contact with

02:23:21 - 02:23:26 | Speaker 3:

them or i mean their family for the rest of your life while they're making these decisions yeah but

02:23:26 - 02:23:34 | Speaker 5:

if i don't give them the money and they go rob somebody because they do have the addiction or whatever the case may be like we can find an error on both sides no i know but that's not on you then

02:23:34 - 02:24:01 | Speaker 4:

i i how here's what i here's what i get i can't control them i get your point in both ways i get your point you want to help out family and i think that's good but if it wasn't the fact that she brought up the fact that he's got bad habits and if the guy had good habits and just fell on bad luck then it's one thing the guy's got bad habits and he's fallen on bad luck guess what i think his bad habits have probably attributed to his bad luck yeah but letting him crash and burn isn't

02:24:01 - 02:24:05 | Speaker 2:

going to fix the habit either it's only going to make it worse so which way are you going to go

02:24:05 - 02:24:07 | Speaker 4:

Are you going to give it to him? I don't know. I'm so torn on this.

02:24:07 - 02:24:12 | Speaker 2:

To be honest, I'd give my brother anything, but I know I have a very different relationship with my brother than those people do.

02:24:12 - 02:24:16 | Speaker 3:

See, I think that letting somebody hit rock bottom, unfortunately, is doing them a favor.

02:24:17 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 2:

I know what you're saying. Unfortunately. No, I do get that, but like, say, and not this situation, let's just make up a hypothetical, right? And say it's drugs, whatever. Me letting you crash and fall and lose your home and lose your car isn't going to help that problem. If anything, you're going to turn to it more because it's the only thing helping you cope was going through that. So I don't know if exacerbating the problem is helping versus saying I'm going to help get you through this right now on the condition of X, Y, Z, whether that's like a treatment plan or something else, like whether it's going to rehab or seeking help or starting therapy, whatever it is, maybe setting up some guidelines is the right answer. I don't know.

02:24:58 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 4:

Jamie, what do you think?

02:25:00 - 02:25:03 | Speaker 2:

Is Sarah an a-hole for not giving her brother money?

02:25:04 - 02:25:20 | Speaker 5:

Definitely not. She's smart. Don't do it. I want my brother money, and he wanted to borrow more money, and because I couldn't borrow him more money on top of what I had already gave him, we haven't spoke in probably, like, going on four or five years.

02:25:20 - 02:25:24 | Speaker 2:

He'd stop talking to you because he kept asking for money, and you finally just said no?

02:25:26 - 02:25:36 | Speaker 5:

Yes. I'm like, I was a single mom at the time taking care of me, my daughter, and my household and he had a wife and a son and she didn't want to work so yeah what was going on

02:25:36 - 02:25:55 | Speaker 2:

where was he going with his money was he just had too many bills he was living beyond his means yeah well there you go that's the thing it's not your responsibility you're the single mom trying to take care of your means uh kelly what's going on is sarah an a-hole i think she'll only be an a-hole

02:25:55 - 02:26:19 | Speaker 4:

if she does it because she will be an a-hole to herself it never ever ever works out doesn't matter conditions what it is they're going to keep on asking for more and if you do want to help him out if he really is struggling buy him some groceries you know that's a really great point that can help out that's a great point very good point we've had situations where chels and i

02:26:19 - 02:26:43 | Speaker 2:

have been out and chels used to uh do intakes for a homeless shelter and we had somebody you We've had people ask, hey, can you give me money? Give me money. I'm hungry. Chelsea has said, hey, I'll go buy you a meal. I'm not going to give you the money. And we've had people turn us down for that when we've been out and about. So I like the idea of what is it that you need money for? And if they say for food, well, let me buy you food and see if they're really using it for that. Tim, what's going on?

02:26:45 - 02:26:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, if it's her little brother asking for money and she says no, I think yes, she's an a-hole.

02:26:51 - 02:26:52 | Speaker 2:

Really? Are you a little brother?

02:26:52 - 02:26:58 | Speaker 1:

No, no, I'm the older brother in this situation I got a younger brother

02:26:58 - 02:26:59 | Speaker 2:

So would you give him money?

02:27:00 - 02:27:03 | Speaker 1:

I have given him money in the past And he has paid me back

02:27:03 - 02:27:09 | Speaker 6:

But what if you know it's just getting gambled away And fueling a habit A bad habit

02:27:09 - 02:27:21 | Speaker 1:

I would probably do a small amount Say like 50, 100 bucks And then see what he does with it If he does gamble it away You know not to do it again

02:27:21 - 02:27:43 | Speaker 2:

I wonder how much money it is. Sarah, how much money are we talking about here? Oh, geez, I lost you. I lost Sarah. I don't know what the hell I just did. I'd love to know because he's like, Tim's like $50 to $100, you know, and I'm wondering if it's that little or. It's probably more than that. Or it's more. I was a couple hundred. Sam, what's going on?

02:27:44 - 02:28:16 | Speaker 3:

Hey, I just wanted to add, I kind of went through a similar situation with my mom, and it was a mix of like money and like also needing a place to stay and me and my mom just have always butt heads and it's never been like a good situation and she was on the verge of basically saying i can't pay this bill i'm gonna get kicked out of my apartment and kind of asking to come stay with me and i kind of had to do what shannon said like let her hit rock bottom type of thing because if she she was mentally unstable if she lived with me i was going to be mentally unstable because we don't get along very well but we did the dump got a lot of swear words today

02:28:16 - 02:28:44 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so you let your mom kind of lay out there, and that helped her get her spit together from what you just said. Yeah, sorry if I apologize. No, that's okay. That's interesting. That's nice to know that it helped. That had to be really tough because it's your mom, even though you guys had a bad relationship with each other. It's like nobody wants to see their family member out on the streets. Sarah's back with us. I apologize. I disconnected with you. How much money does he want?

02:28:46 - 02:28:54 | Speaker 6:

So he didn't say, but he said that he's just like, it's tight and he's really stressed out.

02:28:55 - 02:28:57 | Speaker 2:

What are you guessing? How much money are you guessing?

02:28:58 - 02:29:01 | Speaker 6:

I'm thinking like a few hundred dollars, like two or three.

02:29:03 - 02:29:07 | Speaker 2:

So it's not like it's going to kill you, but it is definitely going to strain you.

02:29:09 - 02:29:12 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Like that's a good amount of money.

02:29:12 - 02:29:12 | Speaker 2:

That is a lot of money.

02:29:12 - 02:29:14 | Speaker 6:

Oh, well don't do it then if it's going to strain you.

02:29:15 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Well, that's the biggest thing, too. If you got it in your, but the problem is, though, I hate to say this, the problem is there are people that you got it, but you got it because you're protecting yourself. You're trying to keep yourself together. I struggle with this a lot. I will say this to you. I've lent money to family members, and I've been burned by some, and others I've been surprised by. And I'll tell you the surprise ones. I lent a family member money, and I said to them, I go, well, if I give you money, how are you going to pay me back and they said how much money they're going to pay me back you know what they did they wrote me a personal check for every month and they said and you will know if something's bad is going to happen because every time you go cash this check if it bounces there's something wrong but you have this you're not waiting for

02:30:00 - 02:30:14 | Speaker 1:

a check and they let they basically said i'm gonna pay you back in a year and they wrote me 12 checks i love that and honestly it made me respect them more that they did that and if they ever asked me for anything after that i would say yes but look how bad you just got burned by another family

02:30:14 - 02:30:24 | Speaker 2:

member that you get you gave money to through a credit card oh yeah and then they they used your credit card number and bought a whole bunch of thousands of dollars worth of stuff listen so i

02:30:24 - 02:30:32 | Speaker 1:

i've gotten burned by people that work in this building that i've given money to that have never Never paid me back. And I'll tell you this, it makes you think completely different every time you see the person.

02:30:32 - 02:30:35 | Speaker 2:

I would never ask a co-worker.

02:30:35 - 02:30:41 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, they did. And I think the problem is that we do the contest called Mojo Pays Your Bills.

02:30:41 - 02:30:49 | Speaker 2:

I think I'm paying somebody, literally paying that bill. Mojo in the morning has a shot for you to win $1,000 now. Pay your bills is on.

02:30:49 - 02:31:00 | Speaker 1:

Yes, there you go. The word to enter to win $1,000, and this is coming from Uncle Bobby. This ain't coming from me. Bobby Pittman. Bob Pittman, by the way, if he knew I'd call him Bobby Pittman.

02:31:00 - 02:31:02 | Speaker 2:

I love that you call him Bobby P. Bobby P?

02:31:02 - 02:31:28 | Speaker 1:

Wait till I meet him. The word is pay. P-A-Y. Enter pay right now. Go enter that word up on mojointhemorning.com, and then pick up your phone if you get a call from an out-of-area number. That's how we tell you that you're a winner. I don't want to—do I have enough? I only got, like, five minutes. Is your, Shannon, the video you shot yesterday? I don't want to give you only five minutes.

02:31:28 - 02:31:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I don't care.

02:31:29 - 02:31:29 | Speaker 1:

Are you okay?

02:31:29 - 02:31:30 | Speaker 2:

What do you want me to talk about?

02:31:31 - 02:31:40 | Speaker 1:

Well, I saw you were filming a commercial yesterday for MESP. Michigan Education Savings Program, ding. What was it? I had a great client. It was a commercial or something?

02:31:40 - 02:32:07 | Speaker 2:

We actually shot a bunch of commercials. We shot, yeah, a TV commercial for MESP, which if you have kids, I really am going to give them a shout out here. It's how we save for Lucy and Smith already for college. It's really, really great. They have a bunch of different options, but I was specifically shooting a commercial for their 529 college savings account. So it'll be cool. I don't know when it's airing or when these commercials are airing, but it's me. And then you'll see a little bit of Luce and Smith in there as well.

02:32:07 - 02:32:12 | Speaker 1:

Is it going to be as good as the old school? It's this big that you did back in the day?

02:32:12 - 02:32:23 | Speaker 2:

You know what? There's no tagline like that. It's this big. Thank you, Jesus God. Because I'm going to be like, like my casket is going to be, no, I'm getting cremated.

02:32:23 - 02:32:38 | Speaker 1:

but it's someone had to scream that at my funeral yeah my favorite shannon used to commercials for the long-time listeners you remember this for art van and they would show shannon in the middle of the store and she would they would say how big is this store and all of a sudden it'd be wide out

02:32:38 - 02:32:46 | Speaker 2:

screen it would be it's this big it never has you guys just have never let it down we used to joke

02:32:46 - 02:32:52 | Speaker 1:

and then she started dating uh afterwards and we were like we were like hey shannon how big was

02:32:52 - 02:34:09 | Speaker 2:

this guy it's this big oh that's terrible honestly sometimes i'll be out and this hasn't happened in a long time and i'll just hear somebody scream it's this big oh no so no tagline but uh i had wait i'm watching the commercial you guys know how tired i was yesterday i was barely functioning i couldn't even tell you what we did on this radio show how did you schedule that the day after a super bowl i didn't think about it oh when we and they had a crew come in from vegas to shoot it this poor woman jody who was so sweet she had never seen snow before in her whole entire life and this is when she comes um but i had like 12 or 15 people in my house all day i was so tired i kept texting west i'm like please help me i'm so cranky i can't stand it and then the dang dogs i almost gave away all three dogs yesterday they were so bad you guys i was so embarrassed and I had thought, oh, I'm going to go to Premier Pet Supply and get like all of the best treats and bones and they're going to be great. I'm going to put them in my bedroom and they're just going to have like the best party ever. They were so bad that we had to have two people, including the client, Jen from MESP, dog set. So I wanted to crawl into a hole. I was so embarrassed.

02:34:09 - 02:34:12 | Speaker 1:

But they wanted the real life of what it's like to be at your house.

02:34:12 - 02:34:44 | Speaker 2:

Well, they got me like snapping at the dogs. I kept having to say to the producing team, I'm like, I'm not this mean to my dogs. I swear. It was just. You were sending the group chat videos and then you texted me and I genuinely thought like you were going to be like, can you please swing by and pick up these dogs? They were so damn bad. It was wild. They acted like they had never seen human beings before. And my favorite was. I was like, never again. You're standing in the kitchen trying to film and your dog is just crunching on his food in the back and doesn't give any blanks.

02:34:44 - 02:35:14 | Speaker 1:

Is it weird that you know our listeners are so big on, like whenever we take a picture in our homes or in the studio, they find the littlest little thing in the background. Did you hide everything that was there? They had, like, a person come in and kind of redo, like, certain, like, wherever we filmed. They stage everything. A little bit. I mean, it's still my house, but, like, a little bit. But, honest to God, we'd be doing a shot, and then all of a sudden, Bo would bust through the gate and just come running in. I'm like.

02:35:15 - 02:35:18 | Speaker 3:

They should have left it in there. Yeah. God dang it. You should ask them for it.

02:35:18 - 02:35:20 | Speaker 1:

This is, like, the 16th time we're doing this because of the dog.

02:35:21 - 02:35:25 | Speaker 3:

Ask them if you can get some of the outtakes, because the outtakes will probably be very funny.

02:35:25 - 02:35:34 | Speaker 1:

It's me being like, boom! And I literally was like, girly! I told somebody, I was like, do you want a dog? Honest to God, take them home for free, or I'm putting them up for sale on Facebook Marketplace.

02:35:34 - 02:35:41 | Speaker 3:

The best will be you screaming at your dogs, and then the Michigan Education Savings Program. Start an account today.

02:35:42 - 02:35:50 | Speaker 1:

And then I realized I had the mic pack on, and I, like, had brought the dogs up to my room, and they were crazy. I was like, do, do, do, do, do, do, do. I know they heard all of it.

02:35:50 - 02:36:02 | Speaker 2:

Your kids, because you're doing this, your kids, once they realize how much money you have in that account, you know what they're going to say? What? They're going to ask you. They're going to be like, Mom, how much money is in my account? How big is it?

02:36:03 - 02:36:06 | Speaker 1:

It's this big. I hate you.

02:36:07 - 02:36:07 | Unknown:

There you go.

02:36:08 - 02:36:20 | Speaker 4:

Our personal favorite part of that behind the scenes was how long it took for Mojo to catch you. You were trying to deal. It was not supposed to be that long of a joke. To the listeners who went, that wasn't worth it. Not Kev's fault.

02:36:20 - 02:36:28 | Speaker 1:

Tell me about how we cheated on you five times already and is doing it again?

02:36:28 - 02:37:15 | Speaker 3:

Another world-famous War of the Roses happens at 940 on Mojo in the Morning. All right, we're going to give you some tickets here. We're doing the weekend ticket. So, The Weeknd. Here's what we want you to text. It's a text to win. Text Hills, one of The Weeknd's easier songs to spell. Hills, H-I-L-L-S. Make sure you put the S at the end. Hills to 95500 for a chance to win tickets to see the weekend. I didn't realize that Starboy yesterday, it would auto-correct from one word to two words, which didn't work, which we should have probably just done both words. But sometimes I don't think we think. Sometimes we don't think we think.

02:37:15 - 02:37:17 | Speaker 4:

I don't think we can do two words.

02:37:17 - 02:37:18 | Speaker 3:

I say, oh, really?

02:37:18 - 02:37:20 | Speaker 4:

Yes. I think that might be the little hint.

02:37:20 - 02:37:21 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

02:37:21 - 02:37:22 | Speaker 4:

I don't think two words.

02:37:22 - 02:37:35 | Speaker 3:

So it's always one word. So text HILLS to 95500. Make sure it's plural, right? HILLS. Standard text and data rates to apply. Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, Shannon, what you got in this hour is Dirty on the 30.

02:37:35 - 02:37:49 | Speaker 1:

Well, I just want to give you some Super Bowl numbers. Biggest audience ever for the second year in a row. An average of 126 million viewers watched the Chiefs take on the Eagles. Or the other way around, the Eagles take on the Chiefs, really. I saw the stats.

02:37:49 - 02:38:03 | Speaker 3:

They said the streaming also this year was higher than they've ever had. And I think that they're starting to think that people are going to be streaming more so ever than we'll watch it on a traditional Fox station.

02:38:03 - 02:38:08 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it peaked at 135.7 million people watching. So that was pretty great.

02:38:09 - 02:38:10 | Speaker 3:

It was a boring game, too.

02:38:10 - 02:39:37 | Speaker 1:

Oh, God. Speaking of the Super Bowl, I don't think it aired here in the Detroit market. but Kanye West did a commercial for Yeezy.com during Sunday night's game. It was really low budget. It was shot on an iPhone. Kanye was sitting in, it looked like a dentist chair to me. But following the airing of that ad, again, promoting Yeezy.com, Kanye immediately flipped the website and replaced all of the content that was on there with just one item. And that one item, a swastika t-shirt for $20. So up until the ad ran on Sunday, Yeezy.com featured all sorts of Shopify-powered stuff, jackets, sweatpants, T-shirts, like nothing that would have ever been deemed an issue. There was no swastika T-shirt on there at all. But within an hour of the ad airing, Ye made that switch, and if you went to the site, you saw just that $20 white T-shirt with the black and blazing swastika on it. According to people who are close to this situation, the Yeezy.com ad went through legal, got approved, moved forward because there was zero issue with the content of the ad that aired. It did air on three Fox-owned stations, including KTTV LA, and then a few different local markets as well. And what is going on? This morning, it's still up. Not the ad, the web, the t-shirt.

02:39:37 - 02:39:49 | Speaker 4:

My concern in all of this was, let's just take the swastika t-shirt off the table, is how affordable he's made it compared to everything else. Like, he's making this the most accessible thing he's ever sold.

02:39:50 - 02:39:54 | Speaker 2:

How much is it? $20. Everything on the site is always $20. Oh, is it? Yeah.

02:39:54 - 02:40:05 | Speaker 4:

But his gap line was, what, the cheapest thing was $60, the most expensive thing was $300. He's Yeezys for a couple hundred. Like, why is this the most affordable thing? I can answer that.

02:40:05 - 02:40:26 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Well, originally, Kanye wanted everything on his Yeezy line and everything under his brand to be $20. This has been a dream that he's had for quite some time. Now that he has full ownership and he doesn't have to rely on the Nikes, the Adidas, the Balenciagas, everything has been $20 that's been on the Yeezy.com site since it's been a thing, you know, years ago.

02:40:26 - 02:40:33 | Speaker 6:

You know what I thought was interesting? They were talking about how they ran the God commercial again, like the commercial for...

02:40:33 - 02:40:35 | Speaker 3:

I see that commercial all the time, yeah.

02:40:35 - 02:40:48 | Speaker 6:

They said that when they were initially were going to buy it, they were worried about people being upset about the whole thing. It's amazing that they worry about people being upset about that, but they don't look into the fact that there's a swastika. Well, there wasn't. Well...

02:40:48 - 02:41:13 | Speaker 3:

That's the great part. So Lydia just texted me. It's down now. When I say it changed within... Like, it was within 30 minutes. And that also kind of scares me and is interesting to me that you could run a commercial where 135 million eyes are then going to go to a website. It goes through the approval process because it's fine. And then the message could be so harmful.

02:41:14 - 02:41:22 | Speaker 4:

So is this the final straw for people or is this going to still be like, is he still going to be supported?

02:41:22 - 02:41:31 | Speaker 6:

I think the guy's mentally unstable, to be honest with you. But I think that, you know, we give grace to mentally unstable people, other people. I don't know.

02:41:31 - 02:41:35 | Speaker 4:

But there's got to be a line. This has got to be it, right?

02:41:36 - 02:41:40 | Speaker 5:

I think Kanye West is very disappointed in how Ye is acting.

02:41:41 - 02:41:45 | Speaker 6:

So you think there's two different people? Yeah, I think that's pretty clear. Wow.

02:41:45 - 02:41:58 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. He put videos up where he says, like, just so y'all know, I'm not crazy. This was a social experiment. And, you know, you believe what you believe. But it is crazy. Yeah. There's no condoning that.

02:41:58 - 02:42:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. In Other Dirty this morning, a private jet owned by Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil veered off the runway at a private airport in Scottsdale, Arizona and crashed into another plane yesterday. One person dead because of this.

02:42:10 - 02:42:23 | Speaker 2:

It happened just after 2.30 Monday afternoon. A small Learjet arriving from Austin veered off the runway as it touched down in Scottsdale, Arizona. The out-of-control aircraft slamming into a parked Gulfstream that was parked just off the runway.

02:42:23 - 02:42:29 | Speaker 1:

It appears that the left main gear failed upon landing, resulting in the accident.

02:42:29 - 02:43:32 | Speaker 2:

Emergency crews reaching the scene in less than a minute. Officials say one person was pronounced dead on arrival. Two others were immediately taken to local hospitals, one of them in critical condition. Hey, we're not. We're on the road. I want to take this well. I'm pretty much by the street further up. Okay, I copy the airport. It's shut down. A lawyer for Neal saying, Mr. Neal's thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today. The NTSB is now investigating.

02:43:33 - 02:43:43 | Speaker 6:

Wow. Crazy thing is that the one plane was just sitting there. I think they were loading up, and you're there watching a plane come off the runway that fast.

02:43:43 - 02:44:31 | Speaker 3:

Right at you. And lastly, dozens of schools in at least 20 states across the U.S. have now banned students from wearing Crocs to class. School administrators claim that not only are students more likely to struggle to walk when wearing the shoes, they could be deadly in an emergency if they need to get students out of a particular area in a certain amount of time. One school principal calling Crocs a safety hazard, twisting knees, twisting ankles, things like that. Other school officials say the shoes are simply a distraction because kids are playing with the charms or the gibbets or whatever the heck they're called. And gibbets, not the gibbets. And throwing them at other classmates. So no crocs for a lot of schools. New rule.

02:44:31 - 02:44:37 | Speaker 6:

On another note, school-wise, they're already starting to close schools. Did you see that today? No. For the snowstorm?

02:44:37 - 02:44:42 | Speaker 5:

For Wednesday or for Thursday? Get on those boots. Friday, Wednesday. It makes me snowing.

02:44:42 - 02:44:49 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, schools are already doing preventative closures right now. So look to see if your schools are planning on doing that. But they're already starting to announce them right now.

02:44:49 - 02:44:55 | Speaker 3:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:45:37 - 02:45:40 | Speaker 5:

Audra, who is it that you think your boyfriend is cheating with?

02:45:42 - 02:45:48 | Speaker 3:

My best friend and roommate who's basically like my sister. We're really close. We're like sisters.

02:45:48 - 02:45:57 | Speaker 5:

Really? And you think that you guys, as close as you are and your boyfriend, as committed as he is, Do you think that these two guys would cross that line?

02:45:59 - 02:46:03 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm kind of getting the feeling that they're doing that.

02:46:03 - 02:46:05 | Speaker 5:

What is it that has made you think that?

02:46:07 - 02:46:49 | Speaker 3:

Well, whenever he comes over, they're always talking. It's like I'm not even there. And I've actually caught her texting him before. And then when I asked her about it, they both act like it's nothing. Like, I'll ask her, like, what's going on? like why are you texting him and then i'll ask him about it too and they say that it's nothing what are they texting about though i mean i don't know i haven't seen the text messages but it makes me wonder and you know what really makes me uncomfortable is that i found out that he's actually been at my house when i'm not home just hanging out with her like that's really

02:46:49 - 02:46:54 | Speaker 5:

really weird um because you know kevin just brought up a really interesting point he just

02:46:54 - 02:47:06 | Speaker 2:

he kind of wants to what was it i feel like i'm not sure when you say you caught them texting but you didn't see the message like what do you mean you caught them texting each other

02:47:06 - 02:47:13 | Speaker 3:

because i saw his number his name come up on her phone when we were hanging out together

02:47:13 - 02:47:18 | Speaker 5:

but you did but you didn't ask to read the text messages or didn't or say like why are you guys

02:47:18 - 02:47:25 | Speaker 3:

texting each other what's that about no i didn't do it because honestly i was scared of what the

02:47:25 - 02:47:36 | Speaker 5:

answer would be do you think that these guys have ever been with each other aside from them just being in the same room together like you know i'm talking about like that they've uh fooled around

02:47:36 - 02:47:47 | Speaker 3:

with each other um i hope not but i am worried that that may have happened all right we're gonna

02:47:47 - 02:48:22 | Speaker 5:

call them up. We got both of their numbers. We're going to do a three-way call and we're going to call to see what they sound like talking to each other without knowing that you're on the phone. You're going to have to be really careful about making sure that you mute your phone and do not say anything until we're able to get some information out of them. Okay. Okay. So mute your phone right now are you muted there you go all right where are the roses

02:48:22 - 02:48:50 | Speaker 4:

hello hello hello Um, uh, just, yeah, hello, yeah?

02:48:52 - 02:48:56 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's up? Why are you calling right now? I'm at work.

02:48:58 - 02:49:03 | Speaker 4:

Oh, um, what? No, I didn't, I didn't call. I thought you called me.

02:49:05 - 02:49:07 | Speaker 3:

Um, I didn't call you, but whatever.

02:49:08 - 02:49:12 | Speaker 4:

Oh, all right. Well, how, how's work?

02:49:12 - 02:49:18 | Speaker 3:

It's fine. I'm, I just stepped out. It's fine. We can talk. What's going on?

02:49:18 - 02:49:26 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no, nothing. I didn't even know. I don't know. My bad. I thought you called me. I'm just, um.

02:49:29 - 02:49:39 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, um, so, like, it's so funny you called me today because I was just thinking about how much I miss you.

02:49:39 - 02:49:49 | Speaker 4:

it has been a long time but you've been you haven't been a while you haven't been

02:49:49 - 02:49:56 | Speaker 3:

well you can come over anytime this week if you want you know you're always welcome

02:49:56 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 4:

02:50:00 - 02:50:09 | Speaker 2:

um i got you actually i got you a gift um it's like nothing big but i was actually just thinking about you and i got you a little something

02:50:11 - 02:50:19 | Speaker 4:

oh that is so sweet i can't wait like yeah can you tell me what it is no no no it's a surprise

02:50:19 - 02:50:29 | Speaker 2:

it's it's not like a big deal though so don't like but it is like i don't know i think it's cool i think you'll like it i was just yeah i'm i know you'll like it what uh is there like a

02:50:29 - 02:50:47 | Speaker 4:

day that's best or can i just i mean i'm not really sure but um i think if you come over you know before nine o'clock that should be fun oh you'll have a good time yeah okay

02:50:49 - 02:51:00 | Speaker 2:

i can do that i can definitely do that Hey, just text me later when you get on break. Then we'll just, you know, we can talk some more.

02:51:02 - 02:51:04 | Speaker 4:

Okay. What's your schedule like today?

02:51:11 - 02:51:43 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Nick? Hello? Hey, Nick. I'm going to jump on here real quick because I just wanted to kind of tell you what's going on. what who is this nick this is the mojo in the morning show and your girlfriend audra contacted us because she thought that something was going on between you and her best friend and it sounds like there's something more than just you guys having a friendship together

02:51:43 - 02:51:55 | Speaker 2:

i mean we're we're we are just friends we're i mean we're we're like we're basically family

02:51:55 - 02:51:58 | Speaker 4:

i miss you so much

02:51:58 - 02:52:15 | Speaker 1:

wait what's going on what's going on is that audra was a little worried that something was happening between you and her roommate and elena do you have anything that you want to say about

02:52:15 - 02:52:52 | Speaker 4:

this i mean i'm i don't understand like what's going on exactly but i'm nick and i are just having a conversation why are you having a conversation where you're planning on hanging out without audra we can hang out as a group that's fine but you specifically were making plans to hang out not as a group i'm just like friends with nick it's not a big deal

02:52:52 - 02:52:56 | Speaker 1:

audra audra what do you think

02:52:56 - 02:53:02 | Speaker 3:

why are you guys even talking to each other you have no business talking to each other

02:53:02 - 02:53:12 | Speaker 1:

Nick? You hung up the phone?

02:53:14 - 02:53:14 | Unknown:

Mm-hmm.

02:53:16 - 02:53:33 | Speaker 1:

Elena, are you there? Elena? Elena? There's something.

02:53:34 - 02:53:37 | Speaker 4:

I'm here, yeah, but I don't want to get involved.

02:53:38 - 02:53:39 | Speaker 1:

How are you not going to get involved?

02:53:39 - 02:53:40 | Speaker 4:

We already are involved.

02:53:40 - 02:53:43 | Speaker 1:

You guys are roommates, and you're talking to her boyfriend without her knowing.

02:53:46 - 02:53:59 | Speaker 4:

It's nothing. Like, you guys are just really making the worst assumptions here. Worst assumptions? You invited him to stay the night. Yeah, and he's getting you a gift?

02:54:00 - 02:54:00 | Unknown:

Yeah, poor.

02:54:01 - 02:54:06 | Speaker 4:

We're just hanging out. It's fine. Like, we're not, like, it's really nothing.

02:54:08 - 02:54:11 | Speaker 3:

How is this nothing? This doesn't seem like nothing.

02:54:13 - 02:54:17 | Speaker 1:

Would he be spending the night, if he's spending the night, without you there, Audra? Or is this?

02:54:19 - 02:54:26 | Speaker 3:

No. He absolutely should not be spending the night there with her, if I'm not there.

02:54:26 - 02:54:30 | Speaker 1:

Were you planning on leaving and going out? Were you planning on not being home?

02:54:32 - 02:54:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I work nights twice a week.

02:54:36 - 02:55:15 | Speaker 1:

Is that something that has happened when Audra's not home? So they're obviously having some kind of a thing when you're going to work late. Audra, I want you to hang on the phone for a second, okay? This is the home of War of the Roses. Mojo in the Morning. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:55:15 - 02:55:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

02:55:17 - 02:56:01 | Speaker 1:

Live. Mojo in the Morning. War of the Roses. I have a couple of thoughts, and I will tell you this. One of my first thoughts when we were in the midst of doing that three-way call, War of the Roses, was, are these guys, like, messing with us? Are they just trying to get on the radio with War of the Roses? Like, is Audra full of crap? Is this not really a situation where she thinks that her roommate and boyfriend are cheating with each other just because, to me, I'm listening to the conversation that they're having, And I'm like, they just sound like they're full of crap.

02:56:01 - 02:56:02 | Speaker 2:

So obvious.

02:56:03 - 02:57:13 | Speaker 1:

And then after having conversations, after this had been done, after the War of the Roses had been taped, they are legit, like 100% legit, where it is just a case of, I don't know, maybe some dumb people. I don't know. I don't know the story. I mean, to put it bluntly, but 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I got a couple of things that I wanted to get to topic-wise, and I think that this is definitely a good topic. Roommate cheating. Like, has anybody ever had that happen to them, where their roommate cheated with their boyfriend or girlfriend? If that has ever happened, I want to hear your story. And then also, can you as a boyfriend go over and spend time at your girlfriend's apartment or home while she's working late at night because nothing good is going to come out of that if you've got attractive roommates. So there's a few things to get into here. Let's grab some phones and let's ask you guys what your thoughts are on this one. Sam, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. What's happening with you today?

02:57:13 - 02:57:17 | Speaker 2:

Hi. Oh, I'm just listening to you guys on my way to work.

02:57:17 - 02:57:18 | Speaker 1:

I love it. Thank you for spending time with us.

02:57:19 - 02:57:30 | Speaker 2:

Sorry, I'm just jumping right to it because this one's got me boiling. Because how are you going to do that to your roommate? Who says they miss their roommate's boyfriend? Number one, that was like the first.

02:57:30 - 02:57:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:57:30 - 02:57:34 | Speaker 2:

Where I'm like, you know, and then the gift. I need to know what the gift is.

02:57:35 - 02:57:35 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:57:35 - 02:57:36 | Speaker 2:

I need to know.

02:57:36 - 02:57:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, that is the interesting thought of like who does this, you know. First off, I always think to myself, you're not only screwing over a friend, now you're having to find a new place to live. I'm not doing that. I think, honestly, I'd give up my friendship before I'd have to give up the fact that I have to get a U-Haul and figure out how to move again. Rose, what's happening? It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:58:00 - 02:58:36 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning. So I agree with the other caller. I was also going to say, like, what kind of room it says that they, like, miss their roommate's boyfriend, number one. But number two, if your boyfriend and roommate are texting and they're hanging out without you, that should just be a giant red flag all together. Like, you should end that, nip it right in the bud before it even begins, number one. But if it's going on and you catch it, cut everything off, both of them, out of your life. They don't deserve to be a part of your life anymore if they're going to hurt you in that way.

02:58:36 - 02:58:49 | Speaker 1:

I'm shocked, by the way, how many people, like, are like, my boyfriend comes over and hangs out with my roommate all the time. And they're just fine with it. Like, they really are trusting, you know, that this is not going to end up leading to something.

02:58:51 - 02:59:02 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I mean, I can see that. Like, it really depends on the type of dynamic and, like, friendship that goes on when you're around. But you never know what happens behind closed doors when you're not there.

02:59:03 - 02:59:08 | Speaker 1:

Right. And they have too much time to spend with each other if she's working a lot. Bridget, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning, War of the Roses.

02:59:10 - 02:59:13 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good morning. Yeah, what a s***ing friend.

02:59:13 - 02:59:27 | Speaker 1:

I can't say that Bridget even though I would like to agree with you that yes that uh that is that is a spitty friend you cannot say the word though okay crappy crappy what a crappy what a crappy

02:59:27 - 03:00:04 | Speaker 3:

friend yes what a crappy friend and that's exactly why I don't let I don't hang out with females in my home around my home around my man because I've actually had that happen in the past where people have been my friends and then I found out like they were messing with my ex and I just and it sucks because I you know I want to support women and be about women but it's like my younger years has made it where I don't I don't and it sucks because I really want to have those relationships with females because i you know so you won't even have your own like girlfriends over your house

03:00:04 - 03:00:23 | Speaker 4:

no no i will not especially if my husband is home once in a great while but it's not like we don't hang out i don't know is your husband's hang out over there is your husband so hot that these girls would want to jump his bones um i don't he's he's just really nice he's a good you

03:00:23 - 03:00:29 | Speaker 2:

know he's a good man do you think sometimes the single girls that are friends of yours look at what you have and want

03:00:29 - 03:00:54 | Speaker 4:

I don't even think they have to be single really? I don't even think they have to be single because I've had friends that were in relationships that have actually, there was actually one relationship where I was like so like shocked that the girl messed with my ex because she was actually dating his best friend and I'm like I was so like blown away by it, like what the f*** oh my god hold on

03:00:54 - 03:01:08 | Speaker 2:

I'm gonna, you know what I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I've got a I've got to dump you and hang up on you I just know Daniel's dressed but I agree with you what the F what the F hold on a second

03:01:08 - 03:01:10 | Speaker 4:

we've got to give him a second

03:01:10 - 03:01:19 | Speaker 2:

let me grab this one here you have a question Hope keep it clean Hope what's going on

03:01:19 - 03:01:39 | Speaker 3:

oh definitely keep it clean but I'm like ultimately confused because like what's the deal Is she just not admitting that she's sleeping with him because she doesn't want to be homeless? Or, like, is she really that dumb to think she likes the attention and she doesn't think he's trying to get in her pants?

03:01:39 - 03:02:22 | Speaker 2:

Well, it's funny because I think that when she made the comments that she made at the end of it when we told her who we were and everything, I think that what ended up happening was Audra's roommate didn't understand that the entire conversation was already done. We taped it. We had it. You know, we could play it back because she then fessed up that they have been spending time together. So, but yeah, she's, I mean, the way that she reacted, we're just doing nothing. I really miss you and all the rest. I'm going to buy you a gift. I mean, craziness. And by the way, I asked Audrey this question. I said, when's the last time he bought you a gift? It's been way too long. You know what I mean? Like you can't buy gifts for another woman and having not been a guy that's a gift giver.

03:02:22 - 03:02:26 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, gift me all the time and my friends while you're cheating.

03:02:26 - 03:02:27 | Speaker 2:

Austin, what's up?

03:02:28 - 03:02:30 | Speaker 1:

Hey, how's it going, you guys? First time in a long time.

03:02:30 - 03:02:33 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Austin, I'm a fool.

03:02:34 - 03:02:58 | Speaker 1:

So I actually, when I was like 19, I had an instance where I let my, I got a house and I let my girl move in, and I actually let her mom and her boyfriend move in. And one of my exes actually ended up sleeping with her mom, her mom's boyfriend. it was really cool we were really cool roommates

03:02:58 - 03:03:12 | Speaker 2:

so what did your girlfriend's mom do when she found out that the boyfriend was cheating with this person because I think anytime you put a bunch of people together in a place, alcohol gets involved that's when things go crazy

03:03:12 - 03:03:23 | Speaker 1:

I mean there was no alcohol involved but I ended up putting all of them out and then the mom and the boyfriend stayed together and ended up moving into a hotel room or something.

03:03:24 - 03:03:37 | Speaker 2:

So no alcohol was involved at all. What was it then? Because usually it's alcohol or weed. I don't know. Sometimes it's some kind of an extra, you know, it's something that like a night everybody's guard gets down and then next thing you know.

03:03:37 - 03:03:38 | Speaker 3:

Was there a hot tub?

03:03:38 - 03:03:44 | Speaker 2:

Or that, you know what? Honestly. I think Megan might be right. What's up, Samantha? Hi.

03:03:45 - 03:03:47 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Good morning. Good morning.

03:03:47 - 03:03:49 | Speaker 2:

Where are the roses we kept?

03:03:50 - 03:04:40 | Speaker 5:

Um, yes. So I was just listening and it made me think of a time I had some friends over at my house and my friend had never been over. So my boyfriend's like, Oh, I'll show you around. Mind you, I've been friends with these people for like five years. So they go upstairs and she's trying to get in his pants. And this is my boyfriend of like seven years. and her husband had just passed away like three days ago and she's trying to get with my boyfriend at my party upstairs where all the bedrooms are, like trying to get in his pants and stuff. So he brings her back downstairs and she says that, she tells him I'm too turned on, I've got to leave. So she leaves and she's texting him the whole time and he ended up telling me about it. We had a falling out with her, but I couldn't believe it.

03:04:40 - 03:04:46 | Speaker 2:

That's wild. the grief was clouding her judgment do you think the grief was or do you think that she was just

03:04:46 - 03:04:57 | Speaker 5:

that type of person um i i didn't think she was that type of person after her husband died we were there for we're like hey if you need anything help paying for anything she needed something

03:04:57 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 2:

anything at all wow that's amazing

03:05:00 - 03:05:11 | Speaker 4:

she wanted more it's amazing though that she would do that right in your own home that's wild and you're you know not that far away it sounds like ashley what happened

03:05:11 - 03:05:33 | Speaker 2:

um my best friend ended up leading on my boyfriend's roommate who was the homeowner and moved in with him and then like um me and the roommate my boyfriend's roommate would like would touch them like she snuck in through his bedroom window downstairs one time and was like

03:05:33 - 03:05:52 | Speaker 4:

avoiding a fight with adam upstairs wait hold on stop for a second i'm a little confused your best friend ended up moving in with your boyfriend's roommate so then was she trying to fool around with your boyfriend or the boyfriend's roommate yes yeah oh okay and who's adam who's adam

03:05:52 - 03:06:00 | Speaker 2:

um the boyfriend's roommate okay so so she was like leading on kind of so she's leading on

03:06:00 - 03:06:07 | Speaker 4:

him to get to your boyfriend yes and do you know if there anything ever happened did your

03:06:07 - 03:06:24 | Speaker 2:

boyfriend do anything um no they no they didn't well not that i know of wow you don't sound confident but yeah i guess i don't know i don't know i will not together and i don't talk to her anymore. He's actually passed away, too, but...

03:06:24 - 03:06:25 | Speaker 4:

Oh, jeez. Oh, my God.

03:06:27 - 03:06:28 | Speaker 2:

Pretty crazy, though.

03:06:28 - 03:06:30 | Speaker 4:

Did you kill him?

03:06:30 - 03:06:33 | Speaker 2:

No. Are you sure?

03:06:36 - 03:06:38 | Speaker 3:

Keep her on the phone for 31 seconds.

03:06:38 - 03:06:42 | Speaker 2:

If it was my investigation, you are suspect numero uno.

03:06:42 - 03:06:43 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm sorry.

03:06:44 - 03:06:48 | Speaker 2:

That sounds to me like... That laugh says I've got a bloody knife. Yeah.

03:06:50 - 03:06:54 | Speaker 4:

Okay. We'll see you on a Dateline NBC coming up very, very soon.

03:07:34 - 03:07:57 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning. Kevin has a very, very big problem and needs advice from all of us. And this problem stems from him being a single guy now. Kevin wants advice on how to get them to leave.

03:07:57 - 03:08:31 | Speaker 3:

Hypothetically speaking. Hypothetically speaking. Hypothetically, if you had someone come over and you all had sex and it got to, let's say, I don't know, random time, 1247 in the morning and you wanted very random at all off the top of my head I don't know how could you get them to leave your home without being an a-hole and like saying the Uber's here or so when are you leaving? because hypothetically

03:08:31 - 03:08:40 | Speaker 1:

I think

03:08:40 - 03:08:41 | Speaker 4:

You're already in the wrong

03:08:41 - 03:08:44 | Speaker 3:

Wait, what do you mean? Because

03:08:44 - 03:08:54 | Speaker 2:

Because I think it should have been known beforehand That you didn't want anybody to spend the night

03:08:54 - 03:09:23 | Speaker 3:

So, hypothetically I don't know if The sex was intended Like, it wasn't like, hey, come over It wasn't that type of thing It kind of led to that Hypothetically But hypothetically, in this world, that person is on a morning show and they have to get up super early and go to work. So it's not like you could sleep in in my crib. Like, no, that's not about to happen while I'm not there. So you got to go.

03:09:24 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 4:

I think, not hypothetically, I think that if you have had a person just give it up to you, that you can't start looking at your watch the moment that you're done. and i think that if you do that then you're treating them with disrespect and i think that before you even get to the hypothetical end of this whole thing i think you have to say to them maybe right when you guys are in the heat of it you know i have to work in the morning this is not a good idea that you know you have to lay it out the groundwork because if you don't like If you say.

03:10:00 - 03:10:17 | Speaker 6:

hey, I got to work and it's 1247 right now and I got to be at work at 530 in the morning. You almost just committed the act to just have sex and love them and leave them. You can't do that because they're going to get messed up in the head.

03:10:17 - 03:10:23 | Speaker 5:

The person knows that this person works on a morning radio show, so they understand how early they have to get up.

03:10:23 - 03:10:43 | Speaker 6:

I get it, but I also get that it would be like, Now ask Shannon and Megan and, you know, Lydia and KP and those guys. As a woman, you don't want to have a guy, like, pushing you out the door, do you? After you just did that? It's a very emotional thing you just gave him. Right?

03:10:45 - 03:10:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

03:10:45 - 03:10:47 | Speaker 6:

You don't want him kicking, loving, and leaving you?

03:10:49 - 03:11:01 | Speaker 1:

I think if that wasn't the original plan and it just so happened and then you kick him out immediately, that's bad. That's no bueno. bad but if you say hey come over hook up real fast and head out that's different that's why i said

03:11:01 - 03:11:33 | Speaker 7:

it like it should have been noted beforehand but since you're saying that hypothetically this you know one thing led to another and another and then it was that i think it it is nice to be able to say to have the excuse of like hey i have to get up in two and a half hours well for you it's like four and a half hours you know um that was a joke by the because he always shows up late is how you're saying i'm gonna go to bed right now and you're hoping that she'll say you know what i'm just gonna go i'm gonna head home hi lee what are

03:11:33 - 03:12:16 | Speaker 3:

your thoughts on this one so i um i was telling a story that my boyfriend previous to me um he had a girl that he met at the bowling a bowling alley because he bowled and he brought her home woke up the next morning, didn't want her to stay, so he asked her to go to breakfast, and they went to Denny's. He pulled in the parking lot, went around the back. When she pulled in, he took off. That's terrible. He did end up running into her. He did end up running into her several weeks later, and she was like, nice move.

03:12:17 - 03:12:24 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. Ran into her. That guy, by the way. Oh, Gabby, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi.

03:12:25 - 03:12:26 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

03:12:26 - 03:12:28 | Speaker 6:

How are you? What do you think on this one?

03:12:29 - 03:12:45 | Speaker 4:

I just think why can't, unless you're treating them as that such as let's do it and go, if you actually care, why can't they just go to sleep with you as long as they know they have to leave when you leave? That's actually a good point. Why can't they just stop at night and leave when you leave?

03:12:45 - 03:12:50 | Speaker 6:

Just let them fall asleep for the couple of hours and then wake them up in the morning when you've got to go and say, hey, I've got to go to work.

03:12:50 - 03:12:57 | Speaker 4:

As far as they know ahead of time that you have to leave for work, they'll know that they have to leave. Why can't they just fall asleep, too, and leave when you leave?

03:12:57 - 03:13:16 | Speaker 5:

Well, in this hypothetical situation, say you really just wanted your own bed, and you like the way that you lay, you sprawl out, you're not trying to cuddle, you're not trying to have your leg have to stay in a certain line, you want to color outside the line.

03:13:16 - 03:13:25 | Speaker 6:

You just were literally with them sexually, and you're now worried about having your own bed at that moment? That's crazy.

03:13:25 - 03:13:29 | Speaker 5:

Why can't two things be true at the same time? Why don't you just tell everyone to hit it and quit it?

03:13:30 - 03:13:36 | Speaker 4:

Right. If that's the case, then that should be in your messages or your conversation before the night even starts.

03:13:36 - 03:13:47 | Speaker 5:

But again, this wasn't a premeditated smash. That wasn't the intention. That wasn't what invited the person over. Or at least from my standpoint. But once you.

03:13:47 - 03:13:58 | Speaker 4:

Then you would just have to suck it up and deal with it for that night. And you'll know for next time. It's not premeditated. You know that it'll have to happen. Otherwise, you just come off as a rude, you know what.

03:13:59 - 03:14:00 | Speaker 6:

Exactly. I agree with you, Gabby.

03:14:00 - 03:14:03 | Speaker 5:

Maybe there'll be a weekend warrior. Then I don't have to go to work that early.

03:14:03 - 03:14:05 | Speaker 6:

Amanda, what's up? Allegedly.

03:14:05 - 03:14:09 | Speaker 2:

Hi. I have an idea for this hypothetical situation.

03:14:09 - 03:14:09 | Speaker 6:

Yes.

03:14:10 - 03:14:33 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Right, so what if afterward you start stripping all the sheets off of your bed and you go and you put them in the washer and it's going to mess with her brain a little. Like, does he think I'm dirty or what's going on? She's going to be so uncomfortable. She's going to want to leave on her own, but then she's going to be like, is he just a really clean guy? Maybe I should give a second chance. I would not talk to him again.

03:14:34 - 03:14:36 | Speaker 7:

That would make me feel a way and not a good way.

03:14:36 - 03:14:39 | Speaker 6:

That's worse than saying, I just wanted to have sex with you. Now you've got to go home.

03:14:39 - 03:14:43 | Speaker 7:

He may feel dirty and told me to get out in a passive-aggressive way.

03:14:44 - 03:14:47 | Speaker 6:

Haley, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning. This is all hypothetical, Haley. We understand that?

03:14:48 - 03:14:57 | Speaker 3:

Yes, yes. Yeah, so I'm on the opposite side. I'm the woman, and I don't want to stay the night. So I'm going to hit it, and then I'm going to go ahead and just blow my phone up. Oh, Haley.

03:14:59 - 03:15:00 | Speaker 6:

He's going to ask you for a minute.

03:15:00 - 03:15:10 | Speaker 7:

your phone number now yeah absolutely not no that's too awkward why do you want to stay in that situation i just always i got what i want and then i gotta go where were girls like you

03:15:10 - 03:15:39 | Speaker 4:

when we were all dating no that's that's that is actually a very interesting i wonder sometimes if that's their case like say hey you don't want to stay here you want to go home don't you and sleep in your own bed i don't know like would it be better just to be honest and say like i i like the the piece of advice of you're gonna go to just go lay down with each other go to bed you're going to only have a few more hours anyway of sleeping and then tell them in the morning when you're getting up to go to work and if she wants to stay past you going to work then hide the

03:15:39 - 03:15:51 | Speaker 2:

valuables also i don't believe this whole this wasn't the plan we don't invite people over to our house on weeknights or school nights and uh not have that be the intention yeah that's wild

03:15:51 - 03:16:02 | Speaker 3:

she didn't come over to play madden hypothetically what if this was the super bowl night and someone wanted to come watch the game. Why wouldn't you go out and watch the game? Because maybe you wanted to enjoy it in the comfort of your own home.

03:16:02 - 03:16:06 | Speaker 2:

Because that's where you had the best shot at getting her back into your bedroom? No.

03:16:07 - 03:16:08 | Speaker 3:

Hypothetically, I could answer more

03:16:08 - 03:16:12 | Speaker 4:

questions. Hold on. Joanne brings up the best point of them all. What do you think Cav should have done?

03:16:13 - 03:16:16 | Speaker 7:

I think he should go to her house, and when he's ready to go, he can go.

03:16:16 - 03:17:19 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's a hard move. Yeah, that's the move right there. If he was a pro at this, you can tell that he's now turned into a rookie all over again hypothetically yeah right she lives 35 minutes away unreal um all right that does it for today if you missed any portion of today's show go back and check out the podcast got a lot of stuff that we did this morning including the war of the roses earlier this morning shannon called out the i heart radio detroit women as being gross in our bathrooms uh megan with should she say goodbye to the person who's dying that she doesn't want to have a relationship with? That's a great topic. Kevin with feeling less than a man and can I give Kevin your phone number a response to that one? It was a great show. By the way, it was good, wasn't it?
