You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

00:02:31 - 00:02:32 | Speaker 6:

You're a doo-doo head.

00:02:35 - 00:02:37 | Unknown:

It's showtime!

00:02:57 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 6:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. It is nice to have you here. It's weird walking into the building today, and our fire alarm was going off. I was like, uh-oh, that's going to be an awkward moment going on the radio, but it's the outside building fire alarm. So do we know? Has anybody checked to see if there's everything okay here? What do you mean the outside building fire alarm? The outside building fire alarm was like going, eh, eh, eh. So does that mean there's a fire inside, though? Well, that's what I wonder.

00:03:53 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 3:

I don't know what's going to happen, but the security guard, She was just sitting there eating her grapes, watching TikTok. I'm like, okay, it can't be that serious.

00:04:01 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 6:

As long as everybody's okay. You know what's funny? It's kind of like when somebody's car alarm goes off in a Walmart parking lot. Nobody cares. It's kind of like, you know what? Maybe that means that I can get a deal on a loaf of bread and a dozen eggs. All right, welcome to the show. It's Mojo in the Morning Mojo with Shannon, Megan. We got Kev, KP, Lydia, Zach, Bianca. Is she coming in today? She should. She was at bingo yesterday. She's coming in. You bingo in it? Also, will the sales department come in today? Now that. You know, today's the day you come in because tomorrow's the day you don't want to come in. If you're not going to come in, don't come in on the day that the snow is going to be out on the ground. It's the calm before the storm, you guys. The calm before they're saying six to eight inches.

00:04:51 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 3:

Breaking storm comes today! I got the sleds out and ready yesterday. I am. Really? For some reason, I'm so excited about this one. You are excited. Because Mojo said it's supposed to be big, fluffy snow. It's the good kind.

00:05:06 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 1:

In certain areas. So there's a lot of sleet, too, they're saying. So I guess northern, more of the northern parts of the area will get that. But then if you go town, and this is for all of our listening area, Grand Rapids will get the fluffy stuff. Detroit's northern counties will get the fluffy stuff. but then south and then towards our toledo listeners it's going to be sleety yeah and scary rainy and uh mixed with that so icy so be careful and again this is i mean the bulk of the

00:05:36 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 3:

snow is coming between 3 and 9 p.m today so i'm surprised both lucy and smith have like school and extracurricular and sports stuff tonight that they're refusing to cancel so far i double checked again late last night and they're like nope everything is on today in michigan it's count

00:05:53 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 1:

day that's what it is so you get you can't uh you got to get your kid in there because of your kid your kid's worth nine grand i think they want that money but this is out like this is late night stuff yeah oh yeah you know and but hey and it is winter it's winter hello it's winter hello please just start talking to people like that yeah get ready get ready for this it's gonna be fun guys are we all excited for it are we treating it like shannon is where we're pulling out the snow boots and the you know i actually packed a bag i packed a bag i'm gonna uh i'm chelsea uh said to me she's like you're not gonna drive in another snowstorm on your way to work because then i go home and i go i hate it i can't stand moving downtown i hate that the station did this to us why did they move us to uh eastern market they couldn't have moved us to woodward avenue these are all the complaints i have i got one bathroom that's all i got is one bathroom one goddamn bathroom i mean valid valid i mean all those are so far have i said anything that's not

00:06:54 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 3:

legit and your drive is long like my drive is 20 minutes well i almost killed myself driving because

00:07:00 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 1:

i live in in uh west bloomfield waterford and i have to drive old orchard trail which if you never have been in orchard lake like where that is it's literally a two-lane highway that if you take a sharp left you're in the water you're like you're like basically you're in orchard lake at that moment there's no railings there's nothing and the last time that drove in it was pure ice on the roads so it was just craziness on the road so um i don't know i how do can i start off the morning can we talk uh let's do a little weather uh talk here this is your dream let's do this

00:07:35 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 3:

he want he has always dreamed of being a weatherman or a country country dj a country

00:07:44 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 2:

Do you still have like seven weather apps?

00:07:47 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I have them all. I have, the best ones used to be, they used to have, Dark Sky was a great one. Unfortunately, Dark Sky got, everybody gets bought out by Google, you know, but the best weather app right now for me has been the Weather Channel and the Fox Weather Channel. Those are the ones that I've liked the most. But I would like to, I'm not going to talk nerdy stuff like barometric pressure.

00:08:09 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 3:

I don't even know what that is. They say that.

00:08:11 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 2:

I'm like, who is waiting on the eights for the barometric pressure?

00:08:16 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 3:

Who hears that and goes, oh, now I know what's going on.

00:08:19 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 1:

What I would like to discuss, and I think that this is very important, I would like to discuss, if we can, when you have a snowstorm like this, okay, and this is, you know, for everybody reminiscing a little bit when they were kids, were you the kid that stayed in all day playing video games, or did you get your ass outside and did you go out with a sled or with the lid to your garbage can. For some reason, that was always a good one to do. Or we would also do the blow-up stuff that we would use in a swimming pool. Like if you had a raft or something.

00:08:52 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 3:

That was the best.

00:08:53 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 1:

If you got on a raft on a hill over at Marsh Bank Park in West Bloomfield, you ended up in Pontiac. It was crazy. It was like you'd go so far. Did you ever see the video, the TikTok, of the dad that pushes his kid and his kid goes and then disappears into the forest. Did you ever see that one? It's one of my favorite videos ever. The dad's like pushing the kid down the hill. The kid goes all the way down the hill. Next thing you know, he's like, oh boy, I don't, I don't. And it's like this little kid that he just stops. Do you guys remember the best sledding hills at all? No.

00:09:24 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 2:

I didn't grow up in a neighborhood that had sledding hills.

00:09:26 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 1:

No sledding in the city?

00:09:28 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 2:

How about sledding streets? No, no sledding in the neighborhood. So on Grosy,

00:09:33 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 3:

We would go to all the golf courses because there's like three golf courses down there on the island. And so like all your friends would be at the golf courses. You'd see everybody who wasn't in school to sled.

00:09:46 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 2:

What we did do, though, at my grandma's, we used to push all the snow. Like when you shovel the snow and shovel the driveway, we used to make sure that when you shoveled it, you took it to a certain part that was near the porch.

00:09:57 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:09:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

And then you would climb to like the top of the little.

00:10:00 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 4:

porch and he would try to jump off the porch act like he was jumping in the swimming pool so everybody would come over and do like that's so fun so that we had two things that we would do at our house we would do uh skeething off the back of cars which i think yeah we call it skeething some people call it skitchen i actually uh think i'm more right with this you would take your two feet put them on the ground and you'd grab the bumper of the car and then the car would drive and you would basically with your feet use your feet as like a ski and you would slide and you'd go in there were kids that I knew that used to go for miles wow they would hold on to that thing and it would literally in the usually you do it to somebody who doesn't know that you're doing it and you got to hold on like it's a freaking bull in a rodeo that was one of them and then the other one was we threw snowballs at cars we were you know kind of a deviants and then you'd hit a car you know you'd get the guy stopping trying to want to kick your ass or

00:10:55 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 1:

something my dad said back in the day he grew up in allen park and he said that when there was a storm like this they would make a ton of snowballs and they would put them in my grandma shanny's granny's basement freezer and then come july they would go access the stock and they would throw them at cars passing by on quant street so just an idea stock up be proactive plan ahead today

00:11:20 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 4:

By the way, Tim Murphy changed. He turned into a nice guy. He was like, he should have been in jail when he was younger. What's going on, Kenny? How you doing?

00:11:28 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 2:

Morning, guys. How you guys doing?

00:11:30 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 4:

We're getting ready. Are you ready for this stormpocalypse?

00:11:33 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 2:

Oh, brother, listen, I'm trying to hustle and get my day over with. I ain't trying to be in my semi and stuff all day.

00:11:38 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 4:

Oh, so you driver? You a truck driver?

00:11:41 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, right now I'm at the old Palace of Auburn Hills. They're putting up a new GM plant.

00:11:47 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay. Hey, question for you. Those big old semi-trucks that you drive, can those, are they like plows? Like, do you just get through the snow, or does it struggle like our cars do?

00:11:59 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 2:

I mean, they kind of plow through it. I mean, when I'm fully loaded, I can plow through it. But if I'm empty, it's like a slip and slide for me.

00:12:06 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I can only imagine that. It's got to be tough if somebody, like, pulls in front of you at the last minute trying to stop that damn thing.

00:12:13 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm not stopping.

00:12:14 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 4:

You're going right through them. Well, be safe out there, man. And get that work done so you can get home and just be safe and comfy at a home, okay?

00:12:21 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. But real quick, hey, so all the kids out there, get out there today and make some money once it starts falling. You know, $20, $25 to the yard. Because I feel like kids aren't doing that. No, they're lazy.

00:12:32 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 4:

These kids, there's no way. These kids are on video games. You think Josiah is going to get a shovel and go out there? If you told Josiah, go grab a shovel, you're going to grandma's house to shovel, what would he do? He would laugh at me. The only shoveling he'd probably do is like in VR. That's like Dolly shoveling. That doesn't happen. Like, honestly, you could make a ton of money when you were a kid doing this stuff. Nowadays, honestly, I bet you there are people that would pay more than $25 to shovel a driveway. What's going on, Katie? How you doing?

00:13:01 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. I have an app for you. Yes. It's called What The Forecast. And it'll say, like, dirty or naughty things about the weather.

00:13:11 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 4:

Oh, really?

00:13:12 - 00:13:14 | Speaker 3:

Like, yeah.

00:13:14 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 4:

Like, what does it say about today that's clean enough to say on the radio?

00:13:19 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 3:

Well, the first one said, it's totally skinny dipping weather outside, and I just lied to you.

00:13:24 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay. Oh, that's funny. Yeah.

00:13:27 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's just kind of, okay, this one, I just refresh it. It says friggin' nope. Yeah. That it tells you what the weather is going to be. So, you know, you get to be, like, depressed that it's going to be cold and gnarly outside, but then you get to laugh about it because you're going to be in pain later anyway.

00:13:41 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 4:

Don't you know that if the TV stations, if they wanted to get ratings at all, they would do like a swearing weather forecast? Like, I will tell you that the Fox...

00:13:50 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 3:

I would do that forecast.

00:13:51 - 00:13:52 | Speaker 4:

Do you live in Detroit?

00:13:54 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 3:

No, I live in the Lansing area. I'm one of your app listeners.

00:13:58 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 4:

I heard. Okay, so in Detroit, there's a TV station called Fox 2, and they have these weather guys. They call them the weather guys. There are two guys.

00:14:07 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 1:

It's Alan Longstreet, and who's the other guy?

00:14:09 - 00:14:17 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. Is that the Volta man? Yeah, but they have and they do like bits with each other. And they're actually kind of funny. They're really funny. Actually, Fox 2 has.

00:14:18 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 3:

Did they take their clothes off?

00:14:19 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 4:

No, you know what? Honestly, I think they did. They did a bit one time. I think they did that they were like male strippers or something. They would. They were those kind of guys.

00:14:26 - 00:14:27 | Speaker 3:

All right, I'll tune in.

00:14:27 - 00:14:44 | Speaker 4:

But then they also have this super hot weekend, beautiful, long blonde hair. I don't even know what her name is either. But when she comes on with the weather, my wife literally has to like punch me because i'm sitting there with my mouth wide open the entire time she's like you know what that dynamic

00:14:44 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 3:

missing yeah a middle-aged mom like me there you go swearing be like yeah get your beer out

00:14:52 - 00:15:10 | Speaker 4:

why can't we swear there you go i think that would be perfect we'll do that on cable all right so we'll figure that out have a great day katie That was great. Appreciate you listening to us. Unfortunately, I was going to say go green, but they lost last night. Oh, don't even talk about it, bro. Anthony, what's up? Hey, how's it going, guys?

00:15:10 - 00:15:11 | Speaker 2:

First time, long time.

00:15:11 - 00:15:11 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Anthony.

00:15:12 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 2:

Anthony's on the phone. During snow days, my brother and I would go out, and we would build about four-foot-tall penises in the middle of the road. That's hysterical.

00:15:24 - 00:15:26 | Speaker 1:

Okay, that's hysterical.

00:15:26 - 00:15:34 | Speaker 2:

They would have to drive through them, and they would be like rock hard because we'd go out at like 1 a.m. and just build them up. Literally rock hard. And bust three or four of them in a row.

00:15:35 - 00:15:36 | Speaker 4:

They had to bust through the penis.

00:15:36 - 00:15:39 | Speaker 1:

I hope my son is not listening to this or there's going to be a penis in my yard today.

00:15:40 - 00:15:44 | Speaker 2:

That's so great. We put a lot of detail into it.

00:15:44 - 00:15:47 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Shannon, you got to get Smith doing that.

00:15:47 - 00:15:49 | Speaker 1:

I honest to God, he loves strong penises.

00:15:50 - 00:15:58 | Speaker 5:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events And you tell us what year it happened.

00:15:59 - 00:16:06 | Speaker 4:

All right, it all happened in the same year. Win some concert tickets right now. This is the year that Ben and Jen finalized their divorce.

00:16:06 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 3:

Ultimately, we tried, we tried, we tried, because we had kids. And then we said, both of us felt like we don't want this to be the model that our kids see of marriage. I felt like we did it amicably. We did our best. Did we have moments of tension? Did we have disagreements over custody? Was stuff difficult for us? Did we get angry? Yes. But fundamentally, it was always underpinned with a respect. I knew she was a good mom.

00:16:29 - 00:16:40 | Speaker 4:

Melissa McCarthy and Maya Rudolph starred in Life of the Party. Hold on a second. What the hell just happened there? I just had a weird moment with my board.

00:16:40 - 00:16:49 | Speaker 6:

I can't believe you brought Christine. I can't believe you shacked up with a bitch. Hey, hey. All right, that is not going to be useful today.

00:16:49 - 00:16:59 | Speaker 7:

This bitch has a lot of reason to be here. I am an excellent negotiator. I am a realtor. Yes, not only do you destroy homes, you also sell them. Isn't that come full, sir? Oh, good.

00:17:00 - 00:17:08 | Speaker 4:

And the big song. Here you go. Demi Lovato. Sorry, not sorry. What year was this? We'll set you up with the prize. Good luck.

00:17:09 - 00:17:14 | Speaker 5:

It was a great day. What year did these things happen?

00:17:14 - 00:17:43 | Speaker 4:

How good is your memory? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:17:49 - 00:17:53 | Speaker 4:

Ben and Jen. Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, divorced in this year.

00:17:53 - 00:18:02 | Speaker 3:

Ultimately, we tried, we tried, we tried, because we had kids. And then we said, both of us felt like we don't want this to be the model that our kids see of marriage.

00:18:02 - 00:18:07 | Speaker 4:

Melissa McCarthy and Maya Rudolph were the big stars in Life of the Party.

00:18:07 - 00:18:11 | Speaker 6:

I can't believe you brought Christine. I can't believe you shacked up with a bitch.

00:18:11 - 00:18:20 | Speaker 4:

And the big song. Demi Lovato, Sorry Not Sorry. What year was it? We'll set you up with a prize. Melissa, what year was that?

Mojo in the mornings, dirty on the 30.

00:19:17 - 00:19:20 | Speaker 4:

Shannon with What's Trending in the Dirty on the 30 this morning. What's going on, Shannon?

00:19:21 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I know we talked about this a lot yesterday, but I do have some more dirty on Kendrick's jeans. Okay, but this is really interesting to me. So those $1,300 Celine jeans that Kendrick wore for the halftime show were originally meant for Timothee Chalamet. Wait, that makes so much sense. They were set aside for him. So Timmy and Kendrick share the same stylist, which is something that I just learned. And even though Timothee Chalamet is 5'10", Kendrick 5'5", this worked. So when it came time for this stylist to pull for Kendrick's Super Bowl halftime show, those size 20...

00:20:00 - 00:20:34 | Speaker 5:

Celine women's jeans, by the way. They were women's jeans. 29. Hugged his hips perfectly. Normally, he's a 33 waist, but for some reason, he's fit, okay? And if you are among the many who are hotly debating whether the pants were boot cut or bell bottoms, the people over at Celine, like as in the designer, say they are flared surf jeans in summer dazed watch. Or wash, excuse me. So that's the official there. So, yeah, women's jeans meant for Timothee Chalamet ended up being world famous because of Kendrick.

00:20:34 - 00:20:40 | Speaker 4:

They just did an interview together, like, right before the Super Bowl. They could have been the same stylist. I wonder if that's where they made the switch.

00:20:40 - 00:20:53 | Speaker 5:

I bet. Yeah, yeah. By the way, speaking with Big Boy yesterday, Mustard giving a little advice to Drake on how to bounce back after a rough couple of months, which, of course, ended with Kendrick's performance of Not Like Us in New Orleans.

00:20:53 - 00:21:05 | Speaker 3:

I'm not speaking for Drake or for him. I don't know what, but a lot of that's going on. It's like the tactics, the things that you do just to get attention. You don't need to do that. Just make music, man, and make good music, and you'll be fine.

00:21:06 - 00:21:08 | Speaker 5:

And he's dropping new music on Friday. Am I right on that, Kev?

00:21:08 - 00:21:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:21:09 - 00:21:18 | Speaker 4:

Album will party next door. Sexy songs for you, something for the ladies. Do you think there's going to be any response, or do you think he's over it because he lost so bad? Not on his album, but it may be something.

00:21:19 - 00:21:22 | Speaker 2:

His best response? Put out hits. It's put something out that people go crazy over.

00:21:23 - 00:21:25 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Mojo, no need for that BDL anymore.

00:21:26 - 00:21:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay.

00:21:27 - 00:21:29 | Speaker 5:

What do you call your butt? A frog butt?

00:21:29 - 00:21:30 | Speaker 2:

No, I got a pancake butt.

00:21:30 - 00:22:01 | Speaker 5:

Pancake butt. Oh, frog butt. So Kim Kardashian revealed the newest offering from her Skims shapewear brand yesterday, the ultimate butt enhancing line. Really? That includes padded shorts, leggings, and body suits for a bigger, rounder, perkier booty. She is calling herself the fairy butt mother to all those who can't grow juicy booties despite eating the gym and doing squats and eating a whole bunch of protein. So here in a couple of days, you can just buy something from this line on the Skims website.

00:22:01 - 00:22:20 | Speaker 2:

I have not tried anything other than Skims t-shirts. And I have to tell you, I do like their t-shirts. I will not try the underwear. I'm not into that. I still love my Tommy John. But I will tell you that the Skims t-shirts are very silky, fresh, fun.

00:22:20 - 00:22:22 | Speaker 5:

I love Skims. What do they do?

00:22:22 - 00:22:33 | Speaker 2:

They just feel good? Well, the ones that I bought are trying to hide my exposed nipples, my big, you know, THOs that I have.

00:22:33 - 00:22:34 | Speaker 4:

So it's like a shield of armor?

00:22:34 - 00:23:03 | Speaker 2:

And so I try, but it's still not as good as Manx. And Spanx stopped making male Spanx Manx, so I have to go to the Skims. And I'm trying to see if maybe these Spanx people will rethink things. You know, everybody seems like they're rethinking things now in 2025. Oh, yeah. So I'm actually- Write a letter. I've actually put a letter to my congressperson, Gary Peters, and I've asked Gary Peters to contact the Spanx people and offer them something to help me out. Good luck. Thank you.

00:23:03 - 00:23:10 | Speaker 5:

And lastly, there is a man, True Story, who makes $25,000 a year from fart videos.

00:23:10 - 00:23:11 | Speaker 2:

Really?

00:23:11 - 00:23:26 | Speaker 5:

He squats over the camera in nothing but either a jockstrap or boxer briefs and just lets him rip. He, it's usually a fart and then a moan, and then he'll say something like, wish you were here to smell this.

00:23:26 - 00:23:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no.

00:23:27 - 00:23:27 | Speaker 5:

25 grand a year?

00:23:28 - 00:23:29 | Speaker 2:

That's crazy. Wait, is this like on Cameo?

00:23:29 - 00:23:30 | Speaker 5:

Kev side hustle.

00:23:30 - 00:23:32 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you. Is he on Cameo doing it?

00:23:32 - 00:23:35 | Speaker 6:

I don't know if this is Cameo or OnlyFans or what it is.

00:23:35 - 00:23:38 | Speaker 2:

I'd love to see a guy's face pushing one out. That'd be kind of fun. Ew.

00:23:38 - 00:23:42 | Speaker 6:

You're not looking at his face, though. You can't see his face. Oh, really? Yes. Unfortunately, I watched him.

00:23:42 - 00:23:54 | Speaker 2:

You're only looking at one eye when he's doing this. Do we know if there's any fetish at all? where, you know, because I've heard of people that like the, you know, people to duty, but is there anybody that has like a fart fetish?

00:23:54 - 00:23:55 | Speaker 4:

There has to be.

00:23:55 - 00:23:56 | Speaker 2:

Would you, like.

00:23:56 - 00:23:59 | Speaker 4:

He's making 25 grand. Somebody's into it.

00:23:59 - 00:24:07 | Speaker 2:

What would you, what would you do if you were out on a date with a guy, you go back home and the guy asks you just to put your butt right up to his face?

00:24:07 - 00:24:22 | Speaker 5:

Honestly, I, I'd be relieved. Would you? No. I would. I'm so sick of holding him farts around people. Oh, that's true. I would love it. All right. Y'all fall asleep and fart all night, by the way. Catch up on the podcast on the iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

00:24:22 - 00:24:26 | Speaker 2:

God, I hope your fart story makes it in the 5 at 6.55. That's on the way next. Don't go anywhere.

00:24:26 - 00:24:31 | Speaker 1:

Miss something in the Dirty on the 30? Listen on our podcast now at MojoInTheMorning.com.

00:24:34 - 00:24:55 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning, phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE, text 95500. Good to have you guys with us. Megan, so what did this guy do and where were you and what time? I was like a yeah and hold on let me put a flashlight right in your face I was by

00:24:55 - 00:25:05 | Speaker 1:

myself with the candlestick in the billiards room no but I was by myself on a Q station last night around 10 o'clock.

00:25:05 - 00:25:09 | Speaker 2:

Explain what Q is for those that never leave their suburban home.

00:25:09 - 00:25:32 | Speaker 1:

So in downtown Detroit, there's a couple of different public transport options, transportation options, whatever. A lot of people know the People Mover, which is that little train thing that's up in the air. The train that goes nowhere, just goes in a circle. That's not true. It goes in a three-mile, maybe, loop to Greektown. But the queue is the newer one, and it's actually on, it's Woodward, right?

00:25:33 - 00:25:33 | Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm. Yeah.

00:25:34 - 00:25:36 | Speaker 1:

Yep. Nailed it. You guys, I'm becoming a local.

00:25:36 - 00:25:39 | Speaker 2:

You are. My God, you're losing Toledo status.

00:25:40 - 00:26:35 | Speaker 1:

I know. It's coming from the center of downtown Detroit, and it kind of goes out to, like, the outskirts of downtown Detroit. It's called, like, Midtown. It goes to, like, Midtown, right? And I was in Midtown last night. and I was on the phone with my dad alone on this essentially like streetcar platform waiting for the queue or the the train to come and I'm talking to my dad I'm giving an update on you know plans for the week plans for today I'm going down to Toledo today we're trying to organize some stuff and this guy approaches me and just starts going let me get your number and not even by the way hello would have been nice to start that conversation or wow you look so beautiful tonight any sort of compliment would have been appreciated uh but to just go right into let me get your number i'm talking to my dad on my airpods so i have to take an airpod out and he goes oh you're on the phone let me get that number so i can call you on the phone which

00:26:35 - 00:26:41 | Speaker 2:

to be fair was he saying it in a flirtatious kind of way it was so direct it was not cute

00:26:41 - 00:27:24 | Speaker 1:

it was not fun and it was just kind of like give me your number it felt like I was being held up for a phone number only and uh my dad starts yelling at me on the phone he goes who are you talking to and I go I don't know he goes what do you mean you don't know who you're talking to it's like I've been approached by an unknown person and I love getting yelled at in one ear the dude's demanding my phone number in the other ear and I'm literally just standing alone at night on this platform like could these two men stop aggressively talking towards me and can i just get a word out that would be so great but it was it was a little bit scary to be honest if it was daytime would it have been different a lot better i don't think i would have appreciated it at the

00:27:24 - 00:27:28 | Speaker 2:

end of the day but i would have felt a lot that would have made you feel good that a guy's asking

00:27:28 - 00:27:45 | Speaker 1:

your first phone number again if you would have started the conversation with hello or oh my god you look so beautiful or i'd love to see you again i don't want this to be the only something other than let me get that number would have been appreciated i'd love to ask uh the the ladies

00:27:45 - 00:28:18 | Speaker 2:

i'd like to ask you ladies um where is uh like the weirdest spot that somebody asked you for your number and did it make you feel a certain way uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 or how they did it and i do have a i'm gonna i'm gonna not that i don't believe you but i don't believe you two things. Number one, you said the man's tone or the guy's tone was in a forceful way. Then you did your dad's imitation. I have never heard your dad sound like that. Like your dad is the jolly Kris Kringle. You know what I mean?

00:28:18 - 00:28:46 | Speaker 1:

If anybody's worked with my dad, you know there's literally Jekyll and Hyde. There's two versions. There's two versions of Scott Mick? There is a version of Scott Mick where his co-workers dress up in Hawaiian shirts and Crocs on his birthday and celebrate him. And there is a version of his co-workers that I have met before that go, good evening, Mr. Mick. It's nice to see you this like he's two different people. He's the best guy in the entire world or apparently a massive a-hole. And I feel so bad for the people who know a whole version of interesting.

00:28:46 - 00:28:51 | Speaker 2:

I've never. That's wild. Maybe I stand corrected. Fred, what would you like to say to Megan?

00:28:53 - 00:29:02 | Speaker 3:

Meg, welcome to Detroit. All the time. Ken, why you ain't warn her, yo? She been here long enough.

00:29:03 - 00:29:07 | Speaker 2:

Wait, is that a Detroit guy thing where they just walk up, go, let me get your number?

00:29:08 - 00:29:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we just say, hey, baby girl, let me get your number, whatever. Like, I mean, there's different ways we approach it, but, I mean, the ones that catch on to it, I mean, shoot, we get the number. So as I was going to say, you get numbers that way easily.

00:29:21 - 00:29:22 | Speaker 2:

Interesting.

00:29:22 - 00:29:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Shoot, when I was younger in the mall, I used to just grab girls by their hand. Really? I didn't even know.

00:29:29 - 00:29:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it didn't work. I got to tell you, it does come off.

00:29:32 - 00:29:32 | Speaker 3:

Please don't do that anymore.

00:29:33 - 00:29:34 | Speaker 2:

It does come off a little strong. I think maybe.

00:29:34 - 00:29:35 | Speaker 3:

No, not no more. Okay.

00:29:35 - 00:29:44 | Speaker 2:

But I will say this to you. As a guy that never could get a girl's phone number, I wish I had you as my tutorial. You know what I mean? I was always scared.

00:29:45 - 00:29:49 | Speaker 3:

That was my younger days. Nah. Yeah. Now you got one girl's number.

00:29:50 - 00:30:00 | Speaker 2:

Or two. Your mom and that girl. It's all in the way you do it, though. It's not as aggressive as, like, yanking somebody by the arm. Hey, Gail.

00:30:00 - 00:30:00 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

00:30:01 - 00:30:16 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. I went to a movie with a friend of mine, and this guy behind me, he comes and leans it forward, and he's like, hey, you got money for a pay phone? I was like, no. I looked at him all weird. He's like, I called my mom when I told him I found the one.

00:30:16 - 00:30:17 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no.

00:30:17 - 00:30:23 | Speaker 7:

It's the easiest pickup line I've ever heard. I literally looked at my friend. I'm like, what in the world is going on right now?

00:30:23 - 00:30:25 | Speaker 2:

I seriously almost passed out. You're such a dork.

00:30:26 - 00:30:35 | Speaker 3:

What a dork. Yeah, that was kind of crazy. I love that the guys are just that cheesy still. What's up, Hannah? How you doing? Hi, Hannah.

00:30:37 - 00:30:37 | Speaker 6:

Hi.

00:30:38 - 00:30:38 | Speaker 3:

How are you, Hannah?

00:30:39 - 00:30:40 | Speaker 6:

First time caller, long time listener.

00:30:41 - 00:30:46 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Hannah's on the phone. Where did you have a guy ask you for your number?

00:30:47 - 00:31:06 | Speaker 6:

So I'm a caregiver, and when I was working in one of the nursing homes I used to work in, I was cleaning up a patient who had C. diff, and as it was continuously spewing out, his family member was sitting there trying to hit on me, and I'm like, can I just clean your dad?

00:31:07 - 00:31:14 | Speaker 3:

By the way, Megan in a nursing home would be better, though, wouldn't it? Megan, you would love the old guys hitting on you.

00:31:14 - 00:31:18 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I would love it just because I'd try to get him to sign that marriage license real

00:31:18 - 00:31:27 | Speaker 3:

quick. Because we had end of the life. That's right. Can you imagine, how many caregivers do you think have done that? What's going on? Samantha, hi.

00:31:28 - 00:31:28 | Speaker 4:

Good morning.

00:31:29 - 00:31:32 | Speaker 3:

What's going on? You can relate to what happened to Megan on the queue, huh?

00:31:33 - 00:31:39 | Speaker 4:

Yes. I had a guy aggressively asking me out while we were both sitting in anger management. Oh.

00:31:40 - 00:31:43 | Speaker 3:

Anger. What did you, yeah. Yeah, why did you have to go to anger management?

00:31:44 - 00:31:53 | Speaker 4:

Because I was angry, obviously, but this was in 2009, so I am a changed woman. I'm so angry I just don't have to go to class

00:31:53 - 00:32:00 | Speaker 3:

for it anymore you know how to control it now that's wild do you really want another guy that's angry like that two angers what do they make up

00:32:00 - 00:32:08 | Speaker 4:

I was telling him I was like dude no this is the biggest red flag I've ever seen in my life and the reason he was there was even crazier

00:32:08 - 00:32:11 | Speaker 3:

what was he there for

00:32:11 - 00:32:17 | Speaker 4:

pushing his girlfriend out of the car while he was driving holy gosh

00:32:17 - 00:32:28 | Speaker 3:

oh my god that's a guy That's a keeper right there. That's a take home. Oh, my God. Listen to this one. Alicia, where did you have a guy ask you for your number?

00:32:29 - 00:32:45 | Speaker 5:

In the checkout line. I was in college at Eastern, and the guy grabbed my elbow, pointed to the counter behind the guy, and said, hey, which condoms do you want to use tonight? Oh, my God. I was mortified. I was a sophomore in college, mortified.

00:32:45 - 00:32:49 | Speaker 3:

I wonder how much that line has ever worked for that guy. That just doesn't seem.

00:32:49 - 00:32:51 | Speaker 5:

I kind of looked at it, and the cashier's like, dude, go home.

00:32:52 - 00:32:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, right. Thank you for the call. By the way, you know what that's called? That's called Ypsilanti. Welcome to Ypsilanti, everybody.

00:33:00 - 00:33:07 | Speaker 1:

How good a liar are you? Five Lies to Tell Your Mom is coming up next on Mojo in the Morning. It's Mojo in the Morning's 5 at 6.55.

00:33:08 - 00:33:12 | Speaker 2:

5 at 6.55, yo, 5 at 6.55, yo, now.

00:33:12 - 00:33:20 | Speaker 3:

This is kind of weird to say this, but I actually had a dream about Nick, our champion, in the 5 at 6.55 last night. Nick. It's weird.

00:33:20 - 00:33:21 | Speaker 4:

He's like, uh.

00:33:21 - 00:33:41 | Speaker 3:

No, it's weird. We couldn't get a hold of you, and Lydia was getting so angry that you weren't picking up your phone, and she came in the studio. I'm like, Lydia, we met him at our rooftop party. He seems like a nice guy. I don't think he's doing this on purpose, and she was getting, like, all upset. We had to talk her off the ledge from wanting to drive to your house and punch you in the nose.

00:33:41 - 00:33:42 | Speaker 5:

This sounds accurate.

00:33:43 - 00:33:45 | Speaker 3:

Wait, does he not answer the phone on time, or what's the story?

00:33:45 - 00:33:48 | Speaker 5:

No, he answers the phone on time, but I feel like that's something I would do with one of our listeners.

00:33:49 - 00:33:59 | Speaker 3:

I could see that. Yeah. Well, Nick, you're taking on Trish today. Trish is in Shelby Township. Your daughter, you're taking her to school right now. Do you think there'll be school tomorrow, Trish?

00:34:00 - 00:34:01 | Speaker 5:

I hope not.

00:34:01 - 00:34:05 | Speaker 3:

A little cancellation there. You are a hairstylist. Where do you work?

00:34:06 - 00:34:07 | Speaker 5:

Lady Janes.

00:34:07 - 00:34:13 | Speaker 3:

Hello. Well, it's nice to have you on with us. Thanks so much for listening. And say hey to Nick. And Nick, say hey to Trish.

00:34:14 - 00:34:15 | Speaker 7:

Good morning.

00:34:15 - 00:34:45 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Hey, I'm locking you up in a soundproof area. We're going to be right back with you in just a second, Nick. We're going to ask Trish the questions first. Five pop culture trivia questions. Whoever gets the most right wins always goes to the champion. Trish, question number one. Kim Kardashian fans are calling for her to get back together with her comedian and former SNL star X after his ads for the clothing brand Reformation dropped yesterday. Who is he?

00:34:46 - 00:34:46 | Speaker 5:

Pete Davidson.

00:34:46 - 00:35:00 | Speaker 3:

question number two speaking of kim she is releasing a line of butt enhancing shorts as part of her shapewear line what's that called um three seconds oh i just heard it

00:35:00 - 00:37:57 | Speaker 1:

on the 30. Booty lift. Okay. Booty lift. She might have misunderstood the question, but question number three, Mandy Moore is slamming Amazon for delivering a package to her in-laws house torched by the wildfires. What was the name of the drama series Mandy starred in opposite Milo Ventimiglia? Three seconds. Three. Two. Pass. Question number four, Elon Musk was giving an update on his work overseeing DOGE from the Oval Office yesterday. What does DOGE stand for? D-O-G-E stand for? 37. 3, 2. That would be a tough one. I wouldn't know that one either. And question number five, Kevin Durant became only the eighth player in NBA history to score 30,000 points. What team does Durant currently play for? What are you saying? The Lakers. And let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area. She does a much better job cutting hair, I guarantee you. Yeah, you only got one, Trish. No, come on. Say she couldn't cut it on a 5 and 6.55? No. Why are the pretty ones always so dumb? Ah, Trish. One. You know what, though? I think you kind of led astray a little bit there by the second question. Here you go, Nick. Question number one. Kim Kardashian fans are calling for her to get back together with her comedian and former SNL star ex after his ads for the clothing brand Reformation dropped yesterday. Who is he? Pete Davidson. Yeah, one to one. He was at the Super Bowl. Did you see them call him out? Next to Kevin Costner. Yeah, I saw that. That was an interesting pairing, wasn't it? Question number two. Speaking of Kim, she's releasing a line of butt-enhancing shorts as part of her shapewear line. What's it called? The new one? What's the, well, what's the, I'll read the question the same way. Yeah, two to one. I think the question threw off Trish, too. She was wondering what the butt-wear line was called. The new butt, yeah, the new butt underwear, I thought. Question number three. Mandy Moore is slamming Amazon for delivering a package to her in-law's house that was torched by the wildfires. What was the name of the drama series Mandy starred in opposite Milo Ventimiglia? Pass. This Is Us. Two to one. That was the name of it. Question number four. Elon Musk gave an update yesterday on his work with DOGE from the Oval Office. What does DOGE, D-O-G-E, stand for? three seconds oh i have no idea pass pass on that one too department of government efficiency

00:37:57 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 1:

two to one i'm on that and and question number five uh kevin durant became only the eighth player in nba history to score 30 000 points what team does he currently play for the phoenix He's got his seventh win in a row. Wow. I still think, I like Nick. He's a nice guy, for God's sakes. But I still think this guy's beatable. So I'm telling you, I don't know where our, you know, Trish, I think. Don't do me like that. What are you having against Nick? I got nothing against Nick. Listen, I dream about the guy, for God's sakes. But, no, I have nothing against him. I'm just saying that these contests have been kind of a dud. And I think that if somebody comes on and gets five out of five on a day that the questions are a little harder, we have a new champion. But, Nick, will that happen? Tomorrow morning, same time, same place, okay? Thank you, guys. Trish, we're going to set you up with a gift card. I don't know if you've ever – do you like Middle Eastern food? Because I love it. I love hummus and stuff. We're going to give you a gift card to Tabooli. They've got some of the best, like, and if I could eat it because it's gluten, but the bread that they have, the homemade bread they make with their hummus is fantastic. So enjoy it, okay? Okay, thank you. Thanks so much. We'll talk to you. Bye. It's Mojo in the Mornings 5 at 6.55. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live. All right, we're going to do five lies to tell your mom. Today is Wednesday, so that means we got that, and we got Second Date Update coming up today. And we also have the big storm craziness going on right now. Snow sucks. Driving in snow sucks. Shoveling snow sucks. Dropping your keys in the snow sucks.

00:40:00 - 00:40:04 | Speaker 2:

Filling up your car because you let the tank get low sucks. Getting snow in your shoes sucks.

All right. You ready to go?

00:41:38 - 00:41:39 | Speaker 2:

00:41:39 - 00:41:44 | Speaker 1:

00:45:28 - 00:45:39 | Speaker 2:

It takes rust off of metal, so it's awful. Oh, my God. You don't want that. Alicia, great job. Great acting job, and happy birthday to you. Thank you.

00:45:41 - 00:45:42 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Mornings.

00:45:42 - 00:45:43 | Speaker 1:

Five for me. Four for me.

00:45:44 - 00:45:44 | Unknown:

Sweet.

00:45:45 - 00:45:47 | Speaker 3:

Five lies to tell your mom.

00:45:51 - 00:45:54 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Mornings.

00:45:54 - 00:46:58 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Mornings, Joe. i was uh having a discussion with a friend i've talked about my friend a lot here on the show he's like my brother his name is johnny dare johnny kansas city's number one iconic radio morning show and personality bigger than travis and patrick put together not physically bigger than andy reed though what up johnny uh johnny's the best so johnny has a has a theory that i want to see if you guys all agree on this one because we were getting into this discussion johnny dare says that he has never met a chad that is not an a-hole and i go really i go that that's not right because i used to have a producer that was a producer of this radio show and he's one of my best buddies in the world his name is chad mitchell and if anybody knows chad mitchell you You know, Chad's not an a-hole. To which Johnny Dare said, and I quoted him in this one, he said that Chad is an a-hole. We just haven't seen his a-hole side yet. We will eventually see it.

00:46:58 - 00:47:02 | Speaker 3:

No, I have a friend, Chad, too, who's like the nicest guy on the planet. Why?

00:47:02 - 00:47:08 | Speaker 2:

But it's interesting. We've each got one. But do we have two? Because I will tell you this.

00:47:08 - 00:47:08 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:47:09 - 00:47:13 | Speaker 2:

I will tell you, there's a lot of Chads. And there was some Chads that I've been friends with that are total a-holes.

00:47:13 - 00:47:20 | Speaker 3:

I went to high school with a Chad. He was a senior when I was a freshman, I think, and he was an a-hole.

00:47:20 - 00:48:22 | Speaker 2:

He totally a-hole. Totally. So Johnny says that everybody has the name that to them is the a-hole in their life or the, he called her the girl that you'd instantly get a you-know-what from. He said that all girls, you know, that had this name were the girls that would fool around with you. Brittany was that name. He says for some reason, he says, the Britneys are always the one. And I wanted to know from you guys, what is the name that you do a little discrimination with? Like, you discriminate against them based on just their name. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Is there a certain thing that when you hear the person's name, like if they have a first name, you go, oh, right away? Yeah, I know who you are. Like, smart people. Simon. For some reason, a guy named Simon, right? Does anybody know a dumb Simon? No. No. I mean, seriously. It's crazy. I've never understood that, but sometimes parents, you put your kids on paths to things by just the name that you give them.

00:48:22 - 00:48:27 | Speaker 3:

Or you assume somebody's age by their name as well.

00:48:27 - 00:48:33 | Speaker 2:

Although nowadays, I'm hearing names like Gertrude for little babies. No, you're not.

00:48:33 - 00:48:57 | Speaker 3:

Yes, and I love that name, by the way. All of the older, old-fashioned names are very much making a comeback, and I love that. But like when you hear somebody named Joanne, and that's my mom's name, you hear somebody named Joanne, you're not thinking they're in second grade. You make an assumption of the name or of the person and their age based on the name sometimes.

00:48:57 - 00:49:18 | Speaker 2:

844 Mojo Live text 95500. I'm getting all these text messages of names. I love this. This is actually the greatest. I love the person that texted and said, I'm a Chad and I'm a total a-hole. I love that. Oh, my God. I can see that. Hold on. Angel's on the phone. Angel's in one of those names. I think Angel's got to be sexy, right, Angel?

00:49:20 - 00:49:32 | Speaker 1:

A lot of people say I am, but the name for me is Walt because I have, like, five family members that are named Walt that are, like, seriously criminals.

00:49:32 - 00:49:35 | Speaker 2:

Criminals. Oh, wait, all Walt's are criminals?

00:49:35 - 00:49:46 | Speaker 1:

No, no, I'm dead serious. They've all been to prison for very aggressive and physically assaultive crimes. Oh, my God. Interesting.

00:49:46 - 00:49:56 | Speaker 2:

Because I'm not going to lie to you. When I say this, this is truth. The thing I think of is a 90-year-old dude. These guys aren't 90-year-old dudes, are they, with their names Walt?

00:49:56 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 1:

No, they're all retired veterans of, like...

00:50:00 - 00:50:23 | Speaker 3:

different branches of the military bruh my grandma boyfriend mr burton his dad's name was walter la pratt oh my god a-hole mr la pratt bruh criminal a-hole he used to sit on the side of the couch and oh my god you could have done anything he was a-hole you got to be careful by the way because you just gave his full name on the radio mr la pratt he been dead for like 80 years

00:50:23 - 00:50:27 | Speaker 2:

Melissa, what's going on? How are you?

00:50:29 - 00:51:00 | Speaker 5:

Good. Mine is more so my mom. So she, my children's father, his name was Marcus, and my mom hated him with a passion. And so anytime somebody would come up or a name would come up and it would be that name, she would just, like, cringe. And my oldest sister is, like, her most prized possession, and she ended up surprising my mom with being married, and his name was Marcus. Oh, no. Like, she has to say it all the time, and she loves him, but, like, she had to come around and get used to the name, and she had to, like, just let it go, finally.

00:51:01 - 00:51:03 | Speaker 1:

Marcus, to me, is such a troublemaker name.

00:51:03 - 00:51:03 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:51:03 - 00:51:07 | Speaker 1:

Whether you're a kid or an adult, like, mm-mm, something's off about you.

00:51:07 - 00:51:11 | Speaker 2:

Marcus is a guy that never wears a condom with a girl and has kids with everybody.

00:51:11 - 00:51:13 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

00:51:13 - 00:51:15 | Speaker 2:

For some reason, I'm thinking that that's him.

00:51:15 - 00:51:21 | Speaker 5:

And granted, my sister's husband's amazing. My sister's husband's amazing, but he's an exception. But he's older as well, much, much older, so maybe that's why.

00:51:22 - 00:51:25 | Speaker 2:

All right, well, a shout-out to all the Marcuses. What's going on, Shannon? How you doing?

00:51:26 - 00:51:28 | Speaker 4:

Hi, how are you guys?

00:51:28 - 00:51:29 | Speaker 2:

Good, Shannon. What's your name?

00:51:31 - 00:51:31 | Speaker 4:

Becky.

00:51:32 - 00:51:34 | Speaker 2:

Becky. What do you think when you think Becky?

00:51:34 - 00:51:35 | Unknown:

Give me that Becky.

00:51:36 - 00:51:38 | Speaker 7:

Just a witchy Becky, but with a B.

00:51:39 - 00:51:44 | Speaker 2:

Really? So Beckys are witchy. So Becky from the block, huh?

00:51:44 - 00:51:50 | Speaker 4:

I agree with you on that. I don't know what Becky. And I feel like they're, like, nosy and know-it-all.

00:51:50 - 00:51:51 | Speaker 2:

Interesting.

00:51:52 - 00:51:55 | Speaker 1:

Yes, there's just one I'm thinking of, and yes.

00:51:55 - 00:52:02 | Speaker 2:

And this all is based on one particular Becky that you know of, probably, right?

00:52:04 - 00:52:09 | Speaker 4:

Yes, but I feel like, yeah, I just feel like when you hear that name, it's just, that's the name.

00:52:10 - 00:52:18 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Alicia? What's up? Hi. How you doing, Alicia? What do you think when you think of the name Alicia, you guys? I think...

00:52:19 - 00:52:24 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my name's not even Alicia, Mojo. Oh, what is it? Alicia. Every time.

00:52:25 - 00:52:28 | Speaker 1:

Very different, by the way, in how I feel about you.

00:52:28 - 00:52:30 | Speaker 2:

Why? Because, okay, Alicia's different than Alicia.

00:52:31 - 00:52:33 | Speaker 1:

No. Alicia is better.

00:52:33 - 00:52:36 | Speaker 2:

Okay. All right. What's going on? Oh, thank you.

00:52:37 - 00:52:48 | Speaker 7:

My dad's name is Brandon. It sounds like a very, you know, upstanding name, but he is a felon. Three-time felon. And he doesn't look like one, but he is very criminal in the books.

00:52:48 - 00:52:56 | Speaker 2:

So, Brandon. He's very criminal. See, it's interesting that you say that because Brandon, to me, seems like a white dude from, like, Royal Oak or something like that.

00:52:56 - 00:53:00 | Speaker 7:

Oh, 100%. Got a suit and all the things. Yeah, no, very criminal.

00:53:00 - 00:53:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, okay, all right. Not your daddy, Doug. Rebecca, what's happening? How you doing?

00:53:06 - 00:53:07 | Speaker 7:

I'm good. How are you?

00:53:07 - 00:53:09 | Speaker 2:

Good. Rebecca, what's your name?

00:53:11 - 00:53:14 | Speaker 7:

I have never met a Troy who isn't gay.

00:53:15 - 00:53:18 | Speaker 2:

Really? Are you serious? Troy Bolton.

00:53:18 - 00:53:19 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:53:20 - 00:53:23 | Speaker 2:

So all Troys are gay, you're saying?

00:53:24 - 00:53:28 | Speaker 5:

I feel like they are. It's just with a name. Troy Colleen, Troys.

00:53:29 - 00:53:33 | Speaker 2:

There's a couple Troys probably listening to the show today saying, wait, that's not me.

00:53:33 - 00:53:38 | Speaker 6:

Los homosexuales. I hope a gay Troy is listening. I feel very called out right now.

00:53:40 - 00:53:52 | Speaker 2:

Caitlin, what do you say about Madisons? They're always the B word. Come on. Really? I know some Madisons that are nice kids. They're friends of ours' kids. Really?

00:53:52 - 00:53:53 | Speaker 6:

I don't know one.

00:53:55 - 00:53:57 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Wow. So that's interesting.

00:53:57 - 00:53:59 | Speaker 6:

I'm going to make you my bitch's bitch.

00:54:00 - 00:54:12 | Speaker 2:

Interesting. All Madisons. Let's go to Ashley. Ashley's a teacher. Oh, this is a good one. Ashley, you're a teacher, so I bet you when kids come in and you see their names the first time, you have some prejudgment on them right away, don't you?

00:54:14 - 00:54:15 | Speaker 6:

Oh, you have no idea.

00:54:16 - 00:54:18 | Speaker 2:

What's the name that always gives you the judges?

00:54:20 - 00:54:25 | Speaker 6:

So whenever I see a Carter on my list, I know I'm in trouble. Oh.

00:54:26 - 00:54:29 | Speaker 2:

Carters are like the kids that, what, they can't sit in their seats and stuff?

00:54:31 - 00:54:35 | Speaker 6:

Oh, you nailed it, Mojo. That's exactly what it is. ADHD, immediately.

00:54:35 - 00:54:42 | Speaker 2:

All bouncing off the walls and all that stuff. Question for you. Who are the angels, though? Like, what names are the angels in your class?

00:54:42 - 00:54:49 | Speaker 6:

oh penelope i've had so many great penelopes oh a little penelope that's

00:54:49 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 2:

yeah she grew up to drink for unless she's sitting around carter and then she's like get me away from carter because carter just pulled my hair miss uh you know ash

00:55:00 - 00:55:06 | Speaker 5:

Well, usually, Penelope's are pretty bossy, usually, so they keep up in line.

00:55:06 - 00:55:10 | Speaker 7:

Okay, I like that. That's the boss of the classroom. What's up, Nick? How you doing, buddy?

00:55:11 - 00:55:13 | Speaker 6:

I'm doing great. How are you guys?

00:55:13 - 00:55:18 | Speaker 7:

Fantastic. We're talking about how people always have prejudgment based on a person's name. What is that?

00:55:19 - 00:55:20 | Speaker 6:

Guy. Guy.

00:55:21 - 00:55:22 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Guy. What's wrong with Guy?

00:55:23 - 00:55:33 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my gosh. They're all just, like, in your face. They dress. They've got, like, the pop collar. or they want to sell you a car. Guy. Drives me nuts.

00:55:33 - 00:55:34 | Speaker 7:

What up, guy? How you doing, guy?

00:55:35 - 00:55:38 | Speaker 2:

We have a guy that works here at iHeart. Oh, no.

00:55:42 - 00:55:50 | Speaker 7:

Melis. Is it Melis? Is that your name? Melissa. No. She didn't finish spelling it. Hi, Melissa.

00:55:52 - 00:56:11 | Speaker 5:

Hi. How are you? What's going on? Good morning. Hi. I am a teacher, and I've been teaching for 14 years and I have never once had a well-behaved, sweet Damien ever. There is nothing good about that name. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

00:56:11 - 00:56:14 | Speaker 7:

The kid's named after the freaking devil, for God's sakes. We know.

00:56:15 - 00:56:19 | Speaker 5:

I'm telling you that it's always, every time I think I've had 12.

00:56:19 - 00:56:24 | Speaker 7:

What would a parent be thinking when they name their kid Damien? You know what I mean? Like that just makes no sense.

00:56:24 - 00:56:25 | Speaker 5:

Obviously terrible thoughts.

00:56:25 - 00:56:30 | Speaker 7:

Exactly. I like this one right here. Is this Helena?

00:56:32 - 00:56:33 | Speaker 3:

Hi.

00:56:33 - 00:56:34 | Speaker 7:

Hey, what's going on?

00:56:35 - 00:56:38 | Speaker 3:

So the name is Brock.

00:56:38 - 00:56:38 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:56:38 - 00:56:44 | Speaker 3:

And I've never met a Brock that is not a raging alcoholic and being drunk.

00:56:44 - 00:56:50 | Speaker 4:

Like pulling the wall, like bridges out of walls, fighting a rock and losing. That type of Brock.

00:56:50 - 00:56:56 | Speaker 7:

Fighting a rock? That's funny. Oh, my God. There's guys, by the way.

00:56:56 - 00:57:01 | Speaker 2:

My name just screams, like, fraternity boy, you know? Oh, it definitely was.

00:57:01 - 00:57:08 | Speaker 7:

What if you're in a car right now, carpooling to work, and you have Brock, Chad, and Carter all in the same car with each other?

00:57:08 - 00:57:11 | Speaker 2:

Damien's in the backseat. Right. In the closet and Troy.

00:57:12 - 00:57:21 | Speaker 1:

Shout out to all the kids who could never find their name on a souvenir keychain or license plate. What's your name? Thaddeus. Good luck with that one, sport. It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:57:21 - 00:57:42 | Speaker 7:

All right. We're going to give you a chance to go to Florida right now. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, win a $50 cash card and qualify for a trip that's going to take you to Panama City Beach, Florida for spring break. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. It's brought

00:57:42 - 00:57:49 | Speaker 1:

to you by Visit Florida. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, Shannon with the

00:57:49 - 00:57:55 | Speaker 7:

dirty on the 30 this morning starting off with that kanye west story that broke towards the end

00:57:55 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

of our show yesterday and a lot of responses this morning a couple of things here okay so first off that website is down so you can no longer go to yeezy.com and see that 20 dollar white swastika t-shirt thank goodness i don't know how it took that long it is down also kanye west has been dumped by his talent agent uh his name's daniel mccartney he wrote on instagram that he does not represent yay any more effective immediately now this was yesterday and he made that decision after all of kanye's harmful and hateful comments recently his anti-semitic rant on x where he called himself a nazi claimed to love hitler tweeted about having dominion over his wife bianca and then what we saw following the super bowl on yeezy.com that swastika shirt so he is he is done with kanye now speaking of that shirt you probably saw photos going around yesterday of a ton of celebrities wearing a white tee that looked like the outline of a hand flashing the middle finger along with the Star of David inside of it, and then it had the name Kanye written underneath it. Did you guys see it? I feel like it was everywhere. Well, unfortunately, none of those images are real. They are all AI. And in fact, Scarlett Johansson, because of that, is urging U.S. legislators to place limits on AI as those images of her and other Jewish celebrities opposing Kanye go viral. So the photos were ultimately made into a video. It's Drake, Jerry Seinfeld, Steven Spielberg, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Black, I think Mila Kunis, Lenny Kravitz, and then Adam Sandler at the end is actually like giving the finger to the camera. So Scarlett Johansson denounced what she is calling the misuse of AI no matter what it's messaging. And she said, yes, she is a Jewish woman who has no tolerance for anti-Semitism or hate speech of any kind. But she believes that the potential for hate speech multiplied by AI is a far greater threat than any one person who takes accountability for it. And she's right. At first, I was like, why is she doing this? And then I'm like, oh, she's.

01:00:00 - 01:00:24 | Speaker 1:

making a great point so she said in her statement yesterday we must call out the misuse of ai no matter it's messaging or we risk losing a hold on reality so literally i saw the photo of her in that shirt and i was like oh i kind of want that shirt just to you know like show my solidarity with the jewish community but it's not even a real thing so yeah i uh wow i i'll tell you it's

01:00:24 - 01:00:52 | Speaker 2:

interesting this is an interesting thing with kanye because you know kanye has done things that obviously, you know, have been as controversial as what he did with the swastika shirt. I mean, some of the stuff that he came out with before and said about Jews before got him forgiven. And I find it interesting. I was thinking about this yesterday. It's kind of interesting like a guy like when Mel Gibson went on his drunken rant and did that thing. It seems like Hollywood never forgave him. But Kanye

01:00:52 - 01:00:58 | Speaker 1:

gets forgiven. But then this was the tipping point. Yeah. It's interesting. Why did it take to get to this

01:00:58 - 01:01:14 | Speaker 2:

point well i i think the guy's mentally ill obviously but there are lots of people that are mentally ill that don't let's see if adidas is still selling his shoes well didn't adidas stop selling yeezys or no but then they came back and they came back with it i'm actually curious

01:01:14 - 01:01:19 | Speaker 1:

when you go on the site tell me oh they're still available they are it's terrible interesting

01:01:19 - 01:01:24 | Speaker 2:

yesterday that shirt was still available during our show it was until about 9 a.m yeah last night

01:01:24 - 01:01:39 | Speaker 1:

Kevin Durant became only the eighth player in NBA history to score 30,000 points in the mark with a free throw late in the third quarter of a loss to the Grizzlies. And Durant can join the group in the 30,000 club here.

01:01:41 - 01:01:52 | Speaker 2:

A free throw. What's wrong with Dan? The first three quarters, giving 26 and 30K for Durant. Yeah, you want to do it on like a three or something.

01:01:52 - 01:01:54 | Speaker 1:

He's got 30,000.

01:01:54 - 01:01:54 | Speaker 2:

Between the circles.

01:01:55 - 01:02:05 | Speaker 1:

The Phoenix Suns forward joins LeBron, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Carl Malone, Kobe, Michael Jordan, Dirk Nowinski, and Wilt Chamberlain. Wilt Chamberlain. Wilt Distilt. In that 30,000.

01:02:05 - 01:02:26 | Speaker 2:

Do you know that Wilt Chamberlain also has the record for the most women that he's ever had sex with in one year as an athlete? Did you know that? I swear to you. Google it. Google it. Who puts out that statistic? Google it. He had sex with more women in the NBA than any other player in NBA history. I think Sean Kemp was number two or something. Sean Kemp? Really? Yeah. John Kemp had kids with all those people, too.

01:02:27 - 01:03:17 | Speaker 1:

Mandy Moore is calling out Amazon. Some bonehead Amazon driver delivered a package to the home of Mandy's in-laws. And this home, she posted a picture of it, was burned to the ground in the L.A. wildfires. So it's literally like ashes and pieces of rock. And there you see this Amazon box. It left it sitting there. I mean, so she got on Instagram. She posted a photo. And in the caption, she wrote, do better, Amazon. Can we not have better discretion than to leave a package at a residence that no longer exists? This is my mother and father-in-law's home, SMH. An Amazon spokesperson did come out and make a statement yesterday. They basically said they reached out to Mandy to apologize. And they said, for weeks now, we have advised those who are delivering on our behalf in Southern California to use discretion in areas impacted by the wildfires. That clearly did not happen here.

01:03:17 - 01:03:36 | Speaker 2:

Can I say that the Amazon guys sometimes do this really interesting thing in my house? the snow's out there, right? You got snow, you got a day like today where it's going to be crazy. They won't come all the way up and put it on the doorstep. They'll just throw it in the middle of the driveway and then you're shoveling in the driveway and you're like, there's a package sitting in the middle of my driveway.

01:03:36 - 01:03:45 | Speaker 1:

Underneath all the snow. It's crazy. And lastly, okay, so you are our Tom Brady lover. Expert? Expert.

01:03:45 - 01:03:57 | Speaker 2:

Tom Brady is, for those that don't know this, Tom Brady is actually my spouse, Chelsea, and I have taken upon him. Yes. Go ahead.

01:03:57 - 01:04:05 | Speaker 1:

So people are asking or trying to figure out if he's had a facelift for plastic surgery. Show me.

01:04:05 - 01:04:06 | Speaker 2:

Show me a picture. I want to see.

01:04:06 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 1:

We're here. So, well, no, just like lately. He looks great. People are comparing him, his face right now, to Jim Carrey, and I cannot remember the movie where he's wearing, like, the top hat. I'll pull it up for you. We can post it. is it the mask not he doesn't have a green face and a photo that i saw um but they're saying that his face looks like a skeleton it's pulled all the way back it seems very very tight and almost too stretched so of course they have like a plastic surgeon coming out to say well he's almost certainly had botox and laser skin resurfacing but maybe maybe a facelift in the past three months is to blame for his i wouldn't even use the word gaunt he's just he has a thinner her face and that does happen with age true you know and he's not bulking up like he used to i actually thought he looked so skinny the other day and like not even in a bad way or an unhealthy way oh yeah

01:05:00 - 01:05:04 | Speaker 4:

But I feel like his head looks large now.

01:05:04 - 01:05:04 | Speaker 3:

I think that's from a living color.

01:05:05 - 01:05:17 | Speaker 4:

What I think is interesting is they're saying that it was from the past three months. Yeah. Do we really think he would get that in the middle of the season? No. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Yeah. All right. You're from Marine City, which Marine City just in itself, Like, when we were talking about names, if you're from Marine City, it sounds to me like you're shoveling 25 inches of snow tonight.

01:06:02 - 01:06:06 | Speaker 1:

Ah, yeah, Alcatrazville, just outside of Marine City.

01:06:06 - 01:06:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah? It just always feels like you guys get clobbered with a lot of snow. It's like Grand Rapids, Grand Haven, too, on the west side of the state. Those guys, man, it's like.

01:06:14 - 01:06:15 | Speaker 1:

Yep, Lake of Africa.

01:06:16 - 01:06:35 | Speaker 2:

Here's the interesting thing. People have been calling me up all week that are my friends from GR, And they're like, you guys make such a deal out of four inches to five inches of snow. That is Tuesday here. So I shout out to everybody that's getting a bunch of snow here today. So congratulations to you. You're going to go to Florida, hopefully.

01:06:37 - 01:06:38 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. Hang on one second and we'll get you set up, okay?

01:07:11 - 01:07:12 | Speaker 1:

Great, thanks.

01:07:12 - 01:07:48 | Speaker 2:

All right. uh coming up here uh next on the mojo in the morning show uh shannon with a shout out to a woman who says that shannon saved her life that's happening in just seconds first though before i get into that i heard that some members of this team three to be specific went and did bingo last night yes sir am i right in saying that yes you are it was lydia's uh family bingo night or something and bingo and it was you with the two chaldeans from the show lydia and bianca

01:07:48 - 01:08:41 | Speaker 3:

and shout out to lydia mom too and shout out to uh lex mom it was a great time man i'm telling you i don't know why i'm so infatuated with bingo you don't know if i saw a movie i don't know if i played it in church when i was younger but i absolutely love bingo and i've never been to real bingo when i heard lydia had a real bingo night i was like bro i gotta go yeah so i showed up yesterday mind you i'm like i gotta go i don't care where it's at didn't you have you gone twice already no no no i was supposed to go one time but i think i had a pistons game that night so i couldn't go okay so last night i went and lydia told me it's from 6 to 10 but i had to get josiah so i didn't show up to like 7 30 i show up to this spot the doors are closed i hear people I hear the vibe. Somebody must be here. Do it one more time. They do like the la la la la. No, commit.

01:08:41 - 01:08:46 | Speaker 4:

La la la la. Lydia, we need it officially.

01:08:47 - 01:08:48 | Speaker 2:

Go ahead, Lydia.

01:08:48 - 01:08:49 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you want to hear it?

01:08:50 - 01:08:50 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

01:08:52 - 01:08:53 | Speaker 4:

It's so good.

01:08:54 - 01:08:57 | Speaker 2:

Wait, stop for a second. Because Lydia goes, oh, you want to hear it?

01:08:58 - 01:09:01 | Speaker 4:

I'm talking to a listener at the same time as I'm talking to you guys.

01:09:01 - 01:09:02 | Speaker 2:

Did you just do that in their air?

01:09:02 - 01:09:04 | Speaker 4:

No, she hung up. Poor Heidi.

01:09:04 - 01:09:09 | Speaker 2:

um so is that what bingos like there like when they win they go crazy like that well

01:09:09 - 01:09:31 | Speaker 3:

the unfortunate thing is we had about nine people at our table and nobody at our table hit that was very disappointing but i did get a chance to read off the numbers they let me come up big shout out so we got a shout out uh lydia if i'm mispronouncing these names assist me here uh shoki Janon and Fatin.

01:09:31 - 01:09:31 | Speaker 4:

Janon.

01:09:32 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 3:

Janon and Fatin. Fatin was the one that was reading off the numbers. And then she was like, Kevin, you want to come up? And I'm like, Beck, this is my moment. So I get up there. It's way more high tech than I thought. I thought it was going to be one of those little roller things with the cage. It was not like that. They got like the million dollar set up. The ball pop up. Then you put it on a little dial that has a camera that shows everybody. So immediately the ball pop up. So I'm like, B-95.

01:10:00 - 01:10:09 | Speaker 4:

Grab B95, put it down. C39. They're like, stop, stop. Slow down. Slow down. You're going too fast. They start yelling at me. I'm like, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

01:10:09 - 01:10:14 | Speaker 3:

So then I get in my stride. And I'm like, B95. Okay.

01:10:14 - 01:10:25 | Speaker 4:

It was probably the best night I've learned for them. I'm telling my back. And then a girl named Renna hit. She threw her. She's like, Kevin, I love you. You got me. I'm like, Bingo. Then they brought me a food platter.

01:10:26 - 01:10:28 | Speaker 3:

It was fruit everywhere. I'm going next.

01:10:28 - 01:10:33 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. I'm going next Tuesday. With Lydia and her mom. I'm going with you. Okay.

01:10:33 - 01:10:34 | Speaker 3:

It's grapes and cheeses.

01:10:34 - 01:10:44 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I guarantee you do Pistons games. You do Michigan State basketball. I am guaranteeing this is going to be your new site. You're going to be calling bingo.

01:10:44 - 01:10:45 | Speaker 2:

Job number 25.

01:10:46 - 01:10:47 | Speaker 3:

I want to start my own bingo night.

01:10:47 - 01:10:49 | Speaker 1:

It's funny because I'm hosting bingo in a couple of weeks.

01:10:49 - 01:10:51 | Speaker 3:

I'm really excited for it.

01:10:51 - 01:11:09 | Speaker 2:

So bingo's back, huh? Bingo's a thing. I'm back, bruh. What's it like, Kevin, from what I understand, from Lydia talking this morning. She said, these women were just doting over you. Does it make you, as a single guy now, say you may want to date a Chaldean woman?

01:11:09 - 01:11:27 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I think Ray Schrimmer had the line, I don't have no type. Bad bitches are the only ones I like. And they come in all shapes and sizes. I'm telling you, listen, man, I like it when it's snow. I like soy sauce. I like sriracha. What?

01:11:27 - 01:11:29 | Speaker 2:

Wait, what are you throwing out? You like everything.

01:11:29 - 01:11:44 | Speaker 4:

You know what I'm saying? You're describing the kind of one. The snow was the white. The soy was the Asian. I mean, I like them all. It don't matter to me. All I'm saying, if you love God and you love yourself and you got respect, then it's amazing. But everybody there was there to have a good time, and I was there to have a good time, too.

01:11:44 - 01:11:49 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so what's the price? Like, what's up for grabs here? Oh, you get money, right? I know. How much?

01:11:49 - 01:11:54 | Speaker 4:

So this jackpot, they said, wasn't the biggest. But last week, jackpot was $3,800.

01:11:54 - 01:12:00 | Speaker 2:

Lydia, are you joking? Is this for, like, your church? Is this, like, the church's bingo night?

01:12:01 - 01:12:13 | Speaker 6:

No. It's just a straight-up gambling. So, like, this is the place where the guys go to hang out on the weekends. Oh, the club. And they just turn it into, like, a nonprofit organization, Charity Bingo Night. Oh, Charity Bingo Night. You have to pay to play, obviously. Yeah, it's $20.

01:12:14 - 01:12:20 | Speaker 2:

Do they also make homemade cigarettes at this place? I feel like they're doing something else in there. Booze in the basement or something. What's up, Ann? How you doing?

01:12:22 - 01:12:23 | Speaker 5:

Good. Good morning.

01:12:23 - 01:12:24 | Speaker 2:

What's going on?

01:12:24 - 01:12:47 | Speaker 5:

um i just had an idea you guys have parties for literally everything we should do a mojo in the morning bingo night we have the host we have all the backgrounds we need we gotta do a purse bingo man that would be fun we could actually host it here in that huge space over there that's a lydia yesterday instead of a potluck everybody could bring their own prizes to donate to the

01:12:47 - 01:12:56 | Speaker 2:

prize wheel okay i like this we maybe raise money for breaking entering christmas wish Just in case we get busted by the cops, we can say it's for charity.

01:12:56 - 01:13:00 | Speaker 5:

They can be invited. They can be invited, too. Yeah, invite the cops.

01:13:00 - 01:13:22 | Speaker 2:

So the funny thing is I hear all the time my buddies, my Chaldean buddies, all tell me about how all the Chaldean ladies get together. I think it's like Wednesday or Thursdays at Shenandoah, the big Chaldean club, and they all get together and play. And the women just, man, they're like really into it. They're more into it than guys get into like poker nights and things like that. Were these women, like, nuts?

01:13:23 - 01:13:26 | Speaker 4:

They had a backroom poker game, too. That's what I stumbled upon.

01:13:26 - 01:13:28 | Speaker 2:

For guys were in the backroom playing poker?

01:13:28 - 01:13:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I made a mistake. So when I walked in the building, the bingo doors were shut. They had doors open in the back. So I walked through the back. I walk in this room, and then I billow through the smoky haze. And then I just see all these old men with no hair in there. And I'm like, this don't look like bingo to me. So then I pop out, and I go to the other room, and that's where the bingo is at. But it's more than bingo. It's a party. We was in there doing, I call it the Chaldean hustle. It's like a dance. I think it's, what'd you call it? It's a Boggier. The Boggier. We was in there Boggier. Boggier.

01:13:56 - 01:14:00 | Speaker 2:

It was lit, bro. Is it Keisha?

01:14:01 - 01:14:03 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, good morning.

01:14:03 - 01:14:03 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Keisha?

01:14:05 - 01:14:23 | Speaker 7:

First time long time. Hey, Keisha, no problem. So, no, I used to work at the bingo hall in college, and I could absolutely support Mojo on the morning bingo night. I used to be like the people that walked around and verified the bingo cards. So I got y'all if you do this. Let's go.

01:14:23 - 01:14:35 | Speaker 2:

All right. So we're going to do a bingo night, and you got to be part of it. If we put this thing together, we'd do some planning on this, and you guys don't show up for it. You guys all are big talkers. I'll be upset. So don't mess with us.

01:14:35 - 01:14:36 | Speaker 7:

No, I'm there.

01:14:36 - 01:14:45 | Speaker 2:

All right. I'm there. We're going to do some work on this. We'll do some leg work on this. But we don't want to take away from the bingo nights that other places are doing as fundraisers.

01:14:46 - 01:14:50 | Speaker 6:

What's this place called, Lydia? You remember Paradise something? It's Paradise Banquet and Restaurant.

01:14:51 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Paradise Banquet and Restaurant. Do they have like a nice little combo platter of tabbouleh and hummus? They got Iraqi shabbat.

01:14:59 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 6:

I love Iraqi shabbat.

01:15:00 - 01:15:01 | Speaker 1:

Salad, yeah. Sod salad.

01:15:01 - 01:15:11 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God, chicken cream chop. They gave me a shot of patrol. Oh, no. Tell me, it was alive. Do they have doma? Do they bring doma to this stuff, or doma's only meant for the family's house?

01:15:12 - 01:15:13 | Speaker 1:

You can bring doma.

01:15:13 - 01:15:13 | Speaker 4:

You can?

01:15:14 - 01:15:14 | Speaker 1:

You can bring your own.

01:15:15 - 01:15:50 | Speaker 4:

I've always wanted to do that. You know how people do chili cooking contests? I always thought that, for those who don't know who Chaldeans are, they're Iraqi Catholics. They're obviously lovable, squeezable, fun. I always wanted to do A doma contest But somebody told me That if we did that And we picked somebody's doma Over another person's doma I would have death threats Against me Lydia is it like that It's like fighting words Oh yeah Domo or death And by the way Lydia's mom's doma Is unbelievable It's like lemony And really good It's awesome

01:15:50 - 01:15:52 | Speaker 1:

The letter catch mojo Talking about someone else's doma

01:15:52 - 01:15:56 | Speaker 4:

If I talk about another person's doma I might as well tell Chelsea I'm like having sex With another person

01:15:56 - 01:16:14 | Speaker 3:

lydia's mom will kill me all right the cheating husband aka the excellent dirtbag example of what the kids don't want to be married to another world famous war of the roses happens tomorrow morning at seven and nine on mojo in the morning all right it is mojo in the morning it's funny i

01:16:14 - 01:16:53 | Speaker 4:

come to work every day and i always the last 10 miles of work i use the last 10 miles to say my prayers and i say my prayers every single morning and i always pray that our show will make you laugh will make you cry or make you feel something and that we do something on this radio show that gives you at least a moment of your life that you don't have to think about something else, maybe something hard that's going on in your life. Never do I expect that this show and some of the things that we talk about could actually possibly save a person's life. And Shannon, you had somebody come up to you and tell you that. What an honor. So I want to shout out a listener named

01:16:53 - 01:19:03 | Speaker 2:

Elena and I met her recently and it's funny I noticed her because she's this beautiful redhead and we like locked eyes and I could tell she wanted to come over and say something to me so I walked up to her and the first words that she blurted out of her mouth were you saved my life and I was so taken aback by that and so she started to share her story and she said that last year at the very beginning of the year she heard me talking about getting my very first mammogram which I had gotten actually the year prior but because of that first mammogram I had a lymphoma scare and so I was going through a year of tests and biopsies and I had lymph node excisions and it was like this whole deal and so I am always very encouraging of you know once you hit 38 39 go go before you turn 40 even if you don't have any sort of family history of breast cancer and so she had never had a mammogram before and she heard what I had shared and so she scheduled her very first mammogram made her first appointment and found out that she had breast cancer wow and so she um we we talked for a long time and she told me she has three chemo treatments to go she is doing fabulous and i am just i like you said mojo sometimes i come in and i think that all we do is laugh and have a great time and to to hear something like this that something i said resonated with someone enough that they went and got got a mammogram and it it truly did could have saved their life is just the most incredible thing in the world and she we've been dming back and forth and she said please please keep using your platform to encourage women to get their mammograms i promise you that a mammogram was the easiest part of this journey i'm trying to get her on but she's i don't think she's awake yet or not checking instagram at least but i would love

01:19:03 - 01:19:08 | Speaker 4:

to talk to her yeah wow so cool i think about what's her name again alaina alaina we love you

01:19:08 - 01:19:21 | Speaker 1:

elena yes indeed what do you think about oh uh i think about that all the time uh with you shannon and you sharing that story but with you mojo and your heart stuff oh my gosh yes it's we and we

01:19:21 - 01:20:29 | Speaker 4:

talked about it yesterday we had dr patel in studio well and also in you talking about the in bringing awareness to uh dementia and alzheimer's i with with your family uh i listen we all we all are different people we all have different genetics and we all have different things going on in our lives and i think that we get so caught up in taking care of everybody else but taking care of ourself is the thing that we need to really focus on because if we're not here then we can't take care of the others and so i think that a lot of times it's trying to just build awareness to you know different things and um god i i'm so happy to hear her say that one of the greatest honors in all the years that we've ever had as a show was Thank you.

01:20:00 - 01:20:57 | Speaker 2:

the honor of getting a chance to meet some people that have overcome and fought and battled and told us that while they were fighting and battling that our show was the 40 minutes that they didn't think about the battle that they had, like where they were driving to go to a treatment or whatever. And it's so funny because when we plan out the show, our ultimate goal, obviously we want to get ratings. Our goal is getting ratings. Um, there have been great things that have happened to all of us but to us the ratings that are the best ratings are the ratings that we have that you are still here and alive and that you are able to laugh and that that is honestly what what our our true goal is is to to hopefully touch you guys in some kind of a way where it makes you do something or feel something even if it's anger i hate to say it even if you get pissed off at us for something that we say our you know maybe it builds awareness and brings

01:20:57 - 01:21:17 | Speaker 1:

awareness to us and to you so and that's the beauty of vulnerability and transparency too because oftentimes i'm sure we all realize this and we all know this so i'm preaching to the choir but what you go through sometimes isn't just for you yeah like what you're going through can be the blessing that's for somebody else and then seeing your strength and hearing your story can be the

01:21:17 - 01:21:33 | Speaker 2:

fuel that they need to continue on their journey and share with us if you do ever see us out i love that you made eye contact with her and you noticed her based on her beautiful red hair because here you are talking about her going through her her you know uh you know chemo and i i love it come

01:21:33 - 01:22:00 | Speaker 3:

All of your stories, even if I listened to you in the morning, I'd re-listen to them and I would just get so much laughter would take my mind off. So I just want to thank you so much. You don't know. Lisa,

01:24:04 - 01:24:19 | Speaker 2:

01:25:10 - 01:25:15 | Speaker 1:

She's 16 now, and we laugh. Our favorite is War of the Roses. I don't know what that says about me as a mom.

01:25:18 - 01:25:23 | Speaker 3:

Love you, Lisa. Keep that fight going. Let's celebrate. Let's celebrate it when it's all done, okay?

01:25:25 - 01:25:26 | Speaker 1:

That's my prayer. That's my prayer.

01:25:26 - 01:25:33 | Speaker 3:

Lydia, grab Lisa's number so we know that we got Lisa here. Sarah, what's happening? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

01:25:34 - 01:25:39 | Speaker 1:

Hi, good morning. This is my first time on also. Oh, hi. Hi. Hi.

01:25:41 - 01:25:51 | Speaker 3:

By the way, a listener told me the other day that when we do first time, long time, it just makes them happy. I think it's so funny. They love just the shout-outs, so I hope it does for you, too. Hi, Sarah.

01:25:51 - 01:26:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I call endlessly. So I just wanted to piggyback off of what all the women was calling in and saying, I don't have a horror story, you know, about anything medically wrong. But you guys really lift my spirits up and make me smile. And when I was a teenager, my mom used to listen to 955 like all the time. And I was just like, Mom, I don't get it. But it's funny now. That's how I find myself listening to it every morning to the point where, like, after I get to my destination in the morning, I pull it up on my phone and I walk in wherever I'm going to continue listening. Yes.

01:26:37 - 01:26:38 | Speaker 3:

We love that.

01:26:39 - 01:26:51 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. And I love you guys. You just keep me smiling. You keep me forgetting about whatever I have going on that I'm worried about. So just thank you for what you do. You guys seem so genuine. Thank you. You seem like you have a really good heart. I love you.

01:26:51 - 01:26:54 | Speaker 3:

Sarah, that means the most. That, by the way, is the greatest line ever.

01:26:54 - 01:26:58 | Speaker 2:

We need to have Tony write something like teens in the car. Don't worry. You'll grow into it.

01:26:59 - 01:27:03 | Speaker 3:

Have the best day, Sarah, and everybody else, too. Appreciate you.

01:27:03 - 01:27:11 | Speaker 4:

In just moments from now, my mom still parents me. What did Kev say on the air yesterday that got his mom to call him up and tell him that he was going to be punished? The second date update, why are you not getting a call back? I can't believe that she wanted to do this on the date. And house sitter confessions. If you ever have house sat for someone, I want to know, Are you the nosy people that go through every bit of their home looking for stuff? We'll talk about that. But first, it's Mojo in the Morning and Megan with a topic here this morning that has me wondering.

01:28:57 - 01:29:00 | Speaker 2:

Did you hear me groan when you acknowledged me?

01:29:00 - 01:29:01 | Speaker 3:

I know. I did.

01:29:01 - 01:29:02 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

01:29:02 - 01:29:04 | Speaker 3:

Dating and plastic surgery.

01:29:05 - 01:29:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I have a question. um it's so funny that this is kind of the time period I did not think that we were going to do

01:29:14 - 01:29:19 | Speaker 3:

it this early sorry my bad not quite prepared do we have to forewarn parents and children

01:29:19 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 2:

no I it's just something that I don't think has been a huge secret um I've talked about it quite a few times I'm in the process of trying to you know find the right doctor for it but it is my goal to get a lot of plastic surgery done this year um and I've been so shocked while going through this process I've asked every woman around me like hey if you're willing to share I'd love to hear your stories of any work that you've had done in your experiences and did you like your doctors and I cannot believe how many people I know who have gone through some sort of a transformation right whether that's mommy makeovers or breast reductions or breast reconstructions like whatever way

01:30:00 - 01:31:18 | Speaker 4:

like getting your nose done, insert whatever surgery here. And so many people have been so happy going through this process. They're so like excited that I'm looking into it and happy for me. And I love that. That's great. But of all the people I know that have done this, most of them have been in established long-term relationships. And I have been thinking a lot lately about going through this and what kind of an impact it's going to have on my dating life. I'm curious if anybody who has gone through major changes while they were single, were you more comfortable after the plastic surgery? Did you feel more judged because there's clear indicators that you've made changes? The one thing that I have noticed is everybody's very vocal about plastic surgery, which is kind of wild. And they're either super supportive and like, do it, do it, do it, Or why would you ever do that? Just be happy with yourself the way you are. It's not going to fix anything. If you hate yourself now, you'll hate yourself afterwards. Yeah. It's wild. It is wild, the responses that you get from people. And I'm thinking, oh, am I going to be covered in these scars? Which is going to happen if I go through with this. And will somebody, say when I'm dating in the future, when we're getting intimate, go, oh, you've done all this?

01:31:20 - 01:31:21 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I don't think they will.

01:31:21 - 01:31:36 | Speaker 1:

Well, can I just say this, though? I think there are a lot of terrible words in any language. But two of the worst words ever created and put together are breast reduction. And I do not think you should go forward with that.

01:31:36 - 01:31:47 | Speaker 2:

No, because she's just lost a bunch of weight and it's... What they got to do with her breasts? But she's got to carry them around. I'm in a lot of places. And it's for major health issues.

01:31:48 - 01:31:59 | Speaker 3:

Like I would know. But I've had a lot of very, very close friends that have had breast reductions. and they like they had no they had to like they were in so much pain all day long i'm establishing

01:31:59 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 2:

a hump because of them you're not getting rid of the breast you're actually giving you a chance to actually show off your breasts a little bit better because of your breasts right now and the way the way that no the way that it's the way that it's carrying on you like it's not like she's cutting them all off and it's more than just that for her health i think this is actually smart i think this is better than honestly i hate to say this i think this is better than getting breast implants because i think breast implants you're putting a foreign object in your body you're with what you're doing you're trying to get rid of the excess skin and what it's doing to your body i actually to be honest with you i was thinking about this the other day and i don't know if we ever did this as a topic but i don't know your dating profile stuff i've never looked at it because i don't i'm not on these things i had a buddy of mine that came to me and told me that He's dating this girl that just lost a ton of weight, and he said that the thing that got him turned on by her was to see what the transformation has been for her losing weight. And one of the things was he said that she had big breasts, and she was able to do what you're hoping to do, right, which is one of the surgeries you're going to do. I don't know what the other surgeries are. and he said he thinks that she's hotter than hell and the reason why her dedication to doing this for herself he he looked at it as a positive i thought that most guys probably wouldn't act that way they would probably go oh well she was heavy at one point or she you know whatever and and so i thought that that was actually kind of refreshing to hear that do you do you by the way have pictures of your transformation on yours or do you just have current pictures on there just current pictures Okay. Because not all guys are probably like this guy.

01:33:44 - 01:33:59 | Speaker 3:

But are you thinking that it's going to be a situation or are you scared that it's going to be a situation of you like taking off your clothes and then noticing like a guy or a girl noticing scars and being like, like, ew?

01:34:00 - 01:34:07 | Speaker 4:

Not necessarily ew, but just like, oh, that's a lot. Because it's, I'm going to like, it's going to be a lot.

01:34:07 - 01:34:21 | Speaker 3:

Because, and you've shared about this, the alternative to that is you not taking off your clothes because you are so self-conscious after having lost all this weight because of skin. Yeah. So, like, Tim.

01:34:21 - 01:34:22 | Speaker 2:

Take off your clothes.

01:34:23 - 01:34:24 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no.

01:34:24 - 01:34:25 | Speaker 4:

Right now.

01:34:25 - 01:34:31 | Speaker 2:

Can I not now? But can I tell you something, Megan? I think this is wonderful.

01:34:31 - 01:34:32 | Speaker 1:

Thanks.

01:34:32 - 01:34:47 | Speaker 2:

I think this is great that you are wanting to do this. and I think that it will turn out fabulous and take it from a guy that's got stretch marks all over his body from being a heavy guy. I take my shirt off right now.

01:34:47 - 01:35:11 | Speaker 1:

I want to say this, though. The goal should always be you. Yes. The goal should be health and what you need to do in order to make yourself feel whole and love, whatever that looks like. Whatever comes from. From that, it's like we talk about that, the Mel Robbins book, Let Them. And obviously you want to be loved and you want whatever partner it is to find you attractive and to love you and to fool you. And I think that right person will do that.

01:35:12 - 01:35:20 | Speaker 5:

And if anybody else that look at you and don't think you know, I'm trying to hear from people who have been through this, like what their experiences were with it, how they handled it.

01:35:20 - 01:35:23 | Speaker 4:

Let's see what we got. 844 Mojo Live. Jeanette, what's happening?

01:35:25 - 01:35:41 | Speaker 6:

Hi. Yeah. So, Megan, this is for you. So I had a BBL, actually, and this was before I was married, so I was still in the dating pool. And, girl, get it done. Listen, it does not matter what man likes it or does not like it, you move on, sister.

01:35:42 - 01:35:43 | Speaker 4:

You like your BBL?

01:35:43 - 01:35:45 | Speaker 6:

No man has ever told me no.

01:35:45 - 01:35:49 | Speaker 4:

Do guys notice that you had a BBL, or is it so natural looking?

01:35:49 - 01:35:53 | Speaker 6:

If they notice, they don't say not one thing about it. Yeah.

01:35:53 - 01:35:54 | Speaker 4:

What do people say about your booty?

01:35:54 - 01:36:13 | Speaker 6:

a lot of people think it's natural but i am very vocal like megan has mentioned um i will tell everybody i've had a bbl done and they're like girl oh that looks good i'm like yes where you go i actually went to miami in florida that's right somebody did a research

01:36:13 - 01:36:17 | Speaker 4:

going to miami what's going on carmen hi it's mojo in the morning

01:36:18 - 01:36:25 | Speaker 7:

Hi, good morning, guys. Good morning. Before I tell you what I wanted to say, can my kids say hi?

01:36:26 - 01:36:27 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

01:36:28 - 01:36:28 | Unknown:

Hi.

01:36:29 - 01:36:30 | Speaker 4:

Hi, guys.

01:36:30 - 01:36:34 | Speaker 7:

That sounds like a lot of kids. I have a lot, but it's only two.

01:36:35 - 01:36:38 | Speaker 4:

Hey, guys, we're talking about BBLs.

01:36:40 - 01:36:52 | Speaker 7:

So, actually, I had a breast reduction, and they took out over 10 pounds, and I'm still a double D. So if that helps Kev understand why women sometimes need them, it's a lot of weight to carry.

01:36:53 - 01:36:56 | Speaker 4:

And how do you feel? How does your body feel right now?

01:36:57 - 01:37:04 | Speaker 7:

It's been over 12 years, but my back, when I had the surgery, immediately felt so much better.

01:37:05 - 01:37:06 | Speaker 4:

That's awesome. Yeah.

01:37:07 - 01:37:10 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. But in Boston, now I can't afford to fix it.

01:37:10 - 01:37:11 | Speaker 4:

What happened?

01:37:11 - 01:37:24 | Speaker 7:

um like one is larger than the other and it wasn't before surgery so he like took out more from one side than oh jesus that doesn't sound good uh yeah it's okay my back is in a lot

01:37:24 - 01:37:29 | Speaker 4:

a better position what was if you if you're double d right now what were you before

01:37:29 - 01:37:36 | Speaker 7:

um i was wearing the size h bra but the um plastic surgery and said that it was too small

01:37:36 - 01:37:43 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my goodness. Wow. Yeah. Well, hello to you and your kids. I'm talking about the kids in the car.

01:37:44 - 01:37:58 | Speaker 2:

I wonder, Megan, if people would even notice. What do you mean? Because I just feel like guys especially are kind of aloof to like, I don't, I wonder if anybody would even notice like that you had had plastic surgery.

01:37:58 - 01:38:05 | Speaker 5:

Do you think it's going to be super obvious? Yeah. I've seen the scars. Okay. I'm going to get pretty chopped up, hopefully. Fingers crossed.

01:38:05 - 01:38:09 | Speaker 4:

I think people are going to, I think you'll look like you lost even more weight, too.

01:38:10 - 01:38:23 | Speaker 5:

That's the most frustrating part about everything is knowing, like, if I, this is so gross, but I, like, I can feel my abs under, like, so much stuff that doesn't show my abs. That sucks.

01:38:23 - 01:38:26 | Speaker 4:

It'll be amazing. Honestly, I think it'll be good for your mental health.

01:38:26 - 01:38:28 | Speaker 5:

For sure. A million percent.

01:38:28 - 01:38:28 | Speaker 3:

For sure.

01:38:28 - 01:38:29 | Speaker 4:

Sheila, what's up?

01:38:30 - 01:38:33 | Speaker 3:

First time, long time. Hey, Sheila.

01:38:33 - 01:38:34 | Speaker 1:

See you on the phone.

01:38:34 - 01:39:17 | Speaker 3:

i've been listening to you guys forever um and it took me moving all the way to chicago to call in and talk to you guys i still listen in chicago but anyway um i was just commenting on megan um i had weight loss surgery like 10 12 years ago my spouse at the time was against it and then i lost so much weight my insurance paid to remove scar on my whole abdomen legs and arms so i'm like scarred from like my entire torso and when i first did it i was like i'll never wear short sleeves I'll never wear shorts. But now I'm like, you know what? This is part of my story. You want to ask me? I used to weigh 350 pounds. I lost my weight. They removed my skin, and here I am. So be proud. It's a weird transition, but it's worth it in the end.

01:39:18 - 01:39:22 | Speaker 5:

It's so weird. You feel so accomplished and then so terrible all at the same time.

01:39:23 - 01:39:23 | Speaker 3:

Exactly.

01:39:24 - 01:39:26 | Speaker 4:

It's so weird. But you can do this. You got this.

01:39:26 - 01:39:26 | Speaker 2:

Thanks, love.

01:39:27 - 01:39:28 | Speaker 4:

Hey, thank you, Sheila. We appreciate it.

01:39:28 - 01:39:47 | Speaker 2:

Just let me come and be there for the surgery for you. do not let anybody that you are dating see you in that state i say this from personal experience wes and i had been dating for like three months when he got his nose job and i when you are under the influence of anesthesia you become a different person and only the worst i'll never forget

01:39:47 - 01:39:53 | Speaker 4:

rachel what's up hey good morning good morning what do you want to say to megan

01:39:53 - 01:40:29 | Speaker 7:

so i had um weight loss or i'm sorry i had skin removal surgery after i lost a Thank you.

01:40:00 - 01:40:29 | Speaker 5:

bunch of weight and like yeah I felt defeated just looking at myself in the mirror thinking like what the heck I did all this work for nothing um once I did have the skin removal though I felt so much better and I feel so much more confident now but do the breast stuff too because I'm a triple d and I've always been a triple d and I I really regret not doing it listen because my body just doesn't look proportionate now it's not even about the proportions I know this is crazy I would just

01:40:29 - 01:40:40 | Speaker 3:

like to not be able to tuck my boobs into my pants you know what i mean like if i could just pick them up above my elbows again if i could pick them up above my elbows i would be really

01:40:40 - 01:41:00 | Speaker 4:

i could get a piece of vodka underneath them listen i lost so much fullness in my boobs my boobs used to be huge and sit pretty high for how big they are, and now they're just like, tuck them into the underwear. Yeah, now they're just like, yeah. I get it.

01:41:02 - 01:41:04 | Speaker 6:

Thank you for the calls. We appreciate it.

01:41:05 - 01:41:10 | Speaker 1:

Morning. Oh, you know, social media is going to be all about the weather today when everything starts coming down. They're saying that we're expecting the snow to start just after noon, so probably after like 1 or so?

01:41:26 - 01:41:33 | Speaker 8:

Yes, but then the big stuff, the bulk of it is going to fall between 3 and 9 p.m. How big, Shannon?

01:41:34 - 01:41:36 | Speaker 6:

Why do you do this to me?

01:41:37 - 01:41:39 | Speaker 8:

Pass me a note or something.

01:41:39 - 01:41:44 | Speaker 6:

I'll never live it down. Don't do this to me, Kevin. Alright, how big, Shannon?

01:41:45 - 01:41:47 | Speaker 8:

It's this big! There you go.

01:41:48 - 01:41:51 | Speaker 6:

Kevin just learned about that one, being a newer member of the show that

01:41:51 - 01:41:56 | Speaker 7:

The video is still on the Mojo in the Morning YouTube page.

01:41:56 - 01:42:52 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Rock, Paper, SZA is happening on Friday. Thank God it's Friday, by the way, because if the snowstorm was happening and we were doing it on Thursday, we'd have nobody show up for the thing. And it's going to be fine. Would you like to win? Let's go through everything that you win with Rock, Paper, SZA. We're giving away tickets to see Kendrick and SZA in June at Ford Field. So you have a chance to win that for the SZA part, okay? For The Rock, a $2,000 ring from Lucido Fine Jewelry. So a $2,000 diamond ring from Lucido Fine Jewelry. Which, by the way, what's the promotions person's name? The cute girl with the great smile that I always see running around. Liss. Liss. I love her. She had to drive to Lucido's yesterday to pick it up. And I said to her, are you going to put it on your finger and wear it? She goes, no, I'm not going to do that because she's afraid that if she does that, then she'll never give it to us.

01:42:52 - 01:42:53 | Speaker 8:

Oh, I want to see it.

01:42:53 - 01:43:31 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, so she went and picked it up, so I think it's here. It's in our safe somewhere around here, so that's cool. And then the paper is $1,000 from Pokey Pokey. Pokey Pokey, fine sponsor of this great radio station, Channel 955 in Detroit. And Pokey Pokey, we love that place. if you don't have a pokey pokey near you check by the way see if you got a pokey pokey close because it's so good it honestly it is it's like a quick easy go in grab meal and uh and feel good i've seen them i've never had them i make a i make a bowl i'm actually uh a frequent flyer

01:44:39 - 01:44:41 | Speaker 7:

Because he has been a high school sweetheart, actually.

01:44:42 - 01:44:53 | Speaker 6:

Is she as tiny as he is? No, she's taller now. Is she really? Yeah, yeah. That's an interesting topic. We should talk about that. The dudes who are with girls that are taller than them.

01:44:53 - 01:44:57 | Speaker 7:

I've been with a taller girl. Have you really? Yeah, she's about six feet, I would say. Six, 11, six feet.

01:44:57 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 6:

Like, are you talking about taller than them?

01:45:00 - 01:46:14 | Speaker 2:

Let me grab, hold on a second here. Let me grab another person. I'll put you on hold. Becky, are you there, Becky? I'm here. You're also in for the contest, too. Congratulations. Becky, you got a shout-out during a topic earlier this morning. You need to check out the podcast. Don't listen to it, Becky. Don't listen to it. Becky, congratulations to you.

01:46:14 - 01:46:15 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. I'm excited.

01:46:16 - 01:46:20 | Speaker 2:

We're excited for you. So I want you to hang on the phone for just one second, and we'll get some information from you, okay?

01:46:21 - 01:46:21 | Speaker 1:

All right, thank you.

01:46:22 - 01:46:33 | Speaker 2:

All right, hold on one second. One last person here, Jessica from Myland. You're in, too. Congratulations, Jessica. Woo! Woo!

01:46:34 - 01:46:35 | Speaker 1:

Yay, I'm so excited.

01:46:36 - 01:46:40 | Speaker 2:

You know what? I'm excited for you. This is going to be really good. Everybody say woo.

01:46:40 - 01:46:41 | Unknown:

Woo!

01:46:41 - 01:47:05 | Speaker 2:

We're giving you a chance to win rock, paper, or SZA tickets. What are you going to choose if you should win this? The diamond ring. Why is it that nobody's taking the SZA tickets? That's crazy. Nobody wants these tickets to go see Kendrick and SZA at Ford Field. You know how much they're going for? I'm not trying to tell you to switch your opinion, but it is wild that nobody in the last two days has said that they wanted to take the tickets.

01:47:05 - 01:47:06 | Speaker 1:

I know.

01:47:06 - 01:47:07 | Speaker 2:

That's all right.

01:47:07 - 01:47:08 | Speaker 1:

Well, I'll take what I can get.

01:47:09 - 01:47:59 | Speaker 2:

The cool thing is it's a contest where there's going to be three people walking out of here happy because I hate when we do these contests and we ask you to come to the studio and one person. The one where we dyed everybody's hair is blue, and there's only one person that's winning it, and the rest of the people went home having to figure out how they're going to live for the next year with blue hair. Hey, that's the risk, though. That is. And if you're going to see the Lions, then take the shot. Yeah, it was good. All right, if you would like to be on, and we'll have more chances later this morning, so we'll give you another chance to win and be in this tournament that we're doing, a rock, paper, scissor tournament coming up. Text DATE to 95500 if you would like to find out why you're not getting a call back after you went on a date. We'll do the second date update. Text DATE to 95500, standard text and data rates to apply, and we'll get you on this.

01:48:00 - 01:48:03 | Speaker 1:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

01:48:03 - 01:48:10 | Speaker 2:

All right, why are you not getting a call back? We're going to find out. This is wild. I've never met a woman named Rocky. Rocky, are you there?

01:48:12 - 01:48:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, hi, I'm here.

01:48:13 - 01:48:57 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Rocky. how you doing? I'm good. How are you? Fantastic. So Rocky is not getting a call back after she went on a date. This is actually something that's kind of funny. This should be like a sitcom or something. We got Rocky who went on a date with Simon. Simon, are you there, buddy? Hey, Simon. Oh, maybe we don't have Simon. Maybe he hung up. Simon, are you there? I'm here. I'm here. Sorry, guys. What are you doing? Are you all right? I had my phone on mute and was stumbling through the button. No, that's okay. I do that all the time. My fat cheek always sneaks up against that mute button on my iPhone. Hey, Simon, will you say hello to Rocky?

01:49:00 - 01:49:03 | Speaker 1:

Hello, Rocky. Hey, what's up?

01:49:07 - 01:49:27 | Speaker 2:

I'm good. I'm good. So, Simon, Rocky contacted us here on the Mojo in the Morning show because she said that you guys went out on a date, but now you're not calling her back. We do a thing called the Second Date Update. We just wanted to kind of get her some answers and hope that everything's okay. First off, you okay?

01:49:31 - 01:49:40 | Speaker 1:

I'm okay. I am okay. uh and uh this uh this seems a little uh a little forward of her right now

01:49:40 - 01:49:45 | Speaker 2:

a little to be because she's doing this because she's checking in on you

01:49:45 - 01:49:51 | Speaker 1:

putting me on the radio it's i mean this kind of seems like a lot we went on one date

01:49:51 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 2:

i understand but she she said that you have not returned any text messages or calls that she has put into you and she was wondering why

01:50:00 - 01:50:06 | Speaker 3:

I mean, listen, the date just didn't go great.

01:50:00 - 01:50:29 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

01:50:07 - 01:50:13 | Speaker 3:

That's all. You know, it happens. We tried the first date. It wasn't great. And that's okay. Rocky, did you think it didn't go great?

01:50:14 - 01:50:25 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I really don't understand why he thinks it didn't go great. I mean, I guess I get it. But, like, I think we both had different intentions. I thought we were on the same page.

01:50:26 - 01:50:29 | Speaker 4:

What do you think didn't go so great, Simon?

01:50:30 - 01:50:38 | Speaker 3:

i mean it was just a lot quickly like in a public place it was uncomfortable

01:50:38 - 01:50:41 | Speaker 4:

what do you mean a lot quickly in a public place now i want to know

01:50:41 - 01:50:53 | Speaker 3:

i mean like physically uh just you know kind of like inappropriate or well wait first off

01:50:53 - 01:51:03 | Speaker 4:

First off, where were you guys? B-dubs. Buffalo Wild Wings. So you were at Buffalo Wild Wings. And physically, what do you mean by physically?

01:51:04 - 01:51:21 | Speaker 3:

Dude, I mean, like, I mean, I feel bad playing you on Blast on the radio. But she was, like, grabbing me under the table and saying, oh, we should go to the bathroom together right now. And it was just, I mean, for someone I'm just with. She was hungry, not for wings.

01:51:21 - 01:51:33 | Speaker 1:

I mean, like, you did have, like, short-term listed on your Tinder profile. Like, that's where we met Tinder. Like, come on. Okay. What else is everybody doing on that one?

01:51:33 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 3:

You're going to at least get some French fries in you first. I mean, I didn't realize short-term was an hour.

01:51:42 - 01:51:48 | Speaker 4:

Oh, wow. So, wait. So, Rocky, you were trying, you were grabbing him. Like, where were you grabbing him, Rocky?

01:51:48 - 01:51:56 | Speaker 1:

i mean like like his pant leg like you know in that general area so you're grabbing at him

01:51:56 - 01:52:03 | Speaker 4:

you're grab you're grabbing at him and you're trying to get him to be excited and what is he

01:52:03 - 01:52:28 | Speaker 1:

doing i mean he definitely was not really like like coming back at my advances i guess like he just was sitting there like i it was a little awkward i just kind of wanted to know what was his problem because like you know the i thought short term let's get right straight to the point you know what else like how how long are we gonna pull out like drag out the short term so you so

01:52:28 - 01:52:40 | Speaker 4:

you're thinking to yourself as you're grabbing him and you're attracted to him you're you're thinking why don't we get up and go find a place where we could actually in the restaurant you

01:52:40 - 01:52:46 | Speaker 1:

wanted to do it in the restaurant i mean that's exciting isn't it i mean i'll be honest with you

01:52:46 - 01:53:09 | Speaker 4:

it does seem exciting but i don't think that i've ever had that happen to me in a buffalo wildlands i don't know about you guys so wouldn't you take advantage of it don't you think i as a guy if i was on a date with a girl i probably think i had a camera being pointed at me and i was gonna get around you know what i mean like i i to me i would think that there was something going on but i think it is exciting i mean you weren't excited at all by that simon

01:53:09 - 01:53:18 | Speaker 3:

i i mean i i was more embarrassed honestly you were very public our exhibition is some people

01:53:18 - 01:53:47 | Speaker 4:

yeah um rocky rocky rocky's ready ready rocky right so simon was so turned off by this that you decided you weren't going to call back are you attracted to rocky like like how did the date end rocky did you guys kiss in the parking lot or what'd you guys do it was like an awkward hug okay so you didn't even get anything out of it not even a good kiss no all right thoughts on this one

01:53:47 - 01:53:56 | Speaker 1:

yeah i know i'm not about i know i'm not a bad looking woman so like i don't that's why i called you guys i just wanted to get a little like i guess closure you know all right i want to know

01:53:56 - 01:54:13 | Speaker 4:

what everybody's thoughts are on this one. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Rocky was trying to get herself some inside the Buffalo Wild Wings. Simon just wanted Buffalo Wild Wings. Whitney, what's going on, Whitney?

01:54:14 - 01:54:37 | Speaker 2:

I just feel like guys are so wishy-washy. I mean, he made a joke saying, oh, what was short-term hour? I mean, what is short-term? Short-term means you don't want a relationship. You want to have fun? She's trying to have fun. What do you want? One more date? Thank you. Pick a side. True. Pick a side. Thank you, Whitney.

01:54:37 - 01:54:40 | Speaker 4:

Have you ever done it in a restaurant like that, Whitney?

01:54:42 - 01:54:52 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely. I mean, not on the first date. No judgment. But I'm a long-term kind of girl. We listen. We don't judge.

01:54:52 - 01:54:52 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

01:54:53 - 01:54:54 | Speaker 2:

Exactly.

01:54:54 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 4:

Thank you for the call, Whitney. Hey, Lean, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:55:00 - 01:55:02 | Speaker 6:

Leanne, first time in a long time

01:55:02 - 01:55:10 | Speaker 2:

Again, I'm saying the names Before Lydia can type them up there Sorry about that, Lydia What's up?

01:55:10 - 01:55:12 | Speaker 6:

Rocky's going to cut herself a charge

01:55:12 - 01:55:21 | Speaker 2:

Really? She's going to get a little crazy She's going to be careful She could get herself arrested on a date, huh?

01:55:22 - 01:55:27 | Speaker 6:

You just met this guy You don't know what's going to happen No, not if you're discreet enough

01:55:28 - 01:55:34 | Speaker 2:

Question for you, Rocky. How many Tinder dates have you taken into the Buffalo Wild Wings bathroom?

01:55:35 - 01:55:41 | Speaker 6:

I mean, I'm not, like, out of hand, but, like, a couple. I'd say, like, two or three.

01:55:41 - 01:55:48 | Speaker 2:

So you've done this before. You've had guys that have been interested on the date at the restaurant to go have sex in the bathroom.

01:55:48 - 01:55:53 | Speaker 6:

Who picked the B-dubs? I did. I like B-dubs. Oh, God.

01:55:53 - 01:55:56 | Speaker 2:

What kind of, by the way, what sauce do you do? I like spicy garlic.

01:55:57 - 01:56:00 | Speaker 6:

Same, same. That's the best one, for sure.

01:56:01 - 01:56:02 | Speaker 2:

Maybe. No.

01:56:02 - 01:56:03 | Speaker 6:

Maybe I'll meet you.

01:56:04 - 01:56:07 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. Shayla, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

01:56:09 - 01:56:25 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. I think that that guy was a little weird. Like, you don't like a girl touching on you. You're not showing any signs that you're interested. Why not speak up? I wonder if he said anything, or did you just sit there and let this happen? And then you're like, all right, at the end of the day, I'm going to hug her and never see her again.

01:56:25 - 01:56:30 | Speaker 2:

He's on with us. Simon, ask her, Shayla. Ask him, Shayla. Simon is his name.

01:56:31 - 01:56:34 | Speaker 6:

Simon, did you just sit there and let this happen?

01:56:36 - 01:56:52 | Speaker 3:

Listen, I mean, not really. That kind of, I mean, I was hitting her hand away. I said, hey, let's slow down. Can we get the food first? Can we talk? And she kept going. It was, I'm telling you, it was pretty uncomfortable.

01:56:53 - 01:56:54 | Speaker 6:

So why did you stay?

01:56:56 - 01:57:06 | Speaker 3:

I mean, we finished the date, and then I left, and I didn't return calls. I thought that would be the end of it. I did not know I would be on the radio today.

01:57:07 - 01:57:20 | Speaker 2:

Okay. I mean, fair enough. He was probably, I don't know, a little taken back by it. But, yeah. Kenny, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi, Kenny.

01:57:22 - 01:57:25 | Speaker 4:

Morning, guys. I don't want to get in trouble, but... Hey!

01:57:26 - 01:57:28 | Speaker 2:

What's up?

01:57:29 - 01:57:36 | Speaker 4:

Two things. Red flag. Nobody likes B-dubs for their wings. Nobody likes B-dubs at all. Really?

01:57:37 - 01:57:41 | Speaker 2:

I disagree. I love B-dubs. Yeah. Where do you go for wings?

01:57:42 - 01:57:45 | Speaker 4:

Wingstop. Wingstop or Detroit Wingstop.

01:57:45 - 01:57:46 | Speaker 2:

Okay. All right.

01:57:47 - 01:58:01 | Speaker 4:

Second thing. I'm with my boy here because, like, he's being modest. If people are giving him a new ass, like, if he doesn't want it, Now, if the shoe were on the other foot, you know, I would be chastising, you know,

01:58:02 - 01:58:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, your phone's driving me crazy, but you're absolutely right. If the wing was on the other table, you're right that it would kind of make you, as a woman, you'd go, this guy's weight too much. You know what I mean? I'd say more than that. So I do feel bad that people are kind of calling him, there's a lot of people calling I'm a wuss and you know all this stuff so it is what it is but as a guy that loves buffalo wild wings and has gone to the bathroom numerous times there probably too many times I don't find it to be a romantic place I actually to be honest with you I actually to be honest with you think that unless they have good reading material inside I am going in and going out as fast as fast as

01:58:50 - 01:58:55 | Speaker 1:

possible. Also, if I have to pee and that door's closed for too long, now I'm mad because I know it's really going on in there.

01:58:56 - 01:59:10 | Speaker 2:

When we were in Tampa for the Pirate Fest, Chelsea was trying to go to the bathroom, and she said that there was a couple that was banging in the women's bathroom at that thing. And she said it was so obnoxious because you want to go to the bathroom. What's up, Tiffany? Last call on this one. What's up, Tiff?

01:59:11 - 01:59:30 | Speaker 5:

I just feel like if it was vice versa roles and it was a guy grabbing on a woman, It would be a total thing to call the cops. It would be a case. Yeah. But she should maybe take the look at what she would do if that was somebody grabbing her under the table.

01:59:30 - 01:59:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. No, good point. I mean, I listen. I think that that's a great point. We both had it. And thank you, Rocky.

01:59:39 - 01:59:40 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:59:40 - 01:59:42 | Speaker 2:

There's people asking for your phone number here.

01:59:42 - 01:59:43 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:59:43 - 01:59:43 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

01:59:44 - 01:59:51 | Speaker 2:

So, and Simon, a lot of people saying, you know what, stand up for yourself, and we're sorry that we called you on the radio and put you on the spot, buddy.

01:59:53 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 3:

Listen, it's, I mean, the whole thing has been an interesting experience, at least I have a story now. Thank you.

02:00:00 - 02:00:18 | Speaker 1:

Thank you, and you're a good sport. Appreciate you. This is the home of the dirty on the 30. Throwback, throwdown. Second date update. In War of the Roses, this is Mojo in the Morning. I love that the one guy called up and goes, nobody goes to Buffalo Wild Wings for the wings. What do you go to Buffalo Wild Wings for if you're not going for wings?

02:00:18 - 02:00:21 | Speaker 3:

Those brisket nachos. Do they have them on the menu? What?

02:00:22 - 02:00:31 | Speaker 1:

I ordered for Super Bowl, and we ordered Buffalo Wild Wings, and I thought that they would have nachos. They didn't have them on mine.

02:00:31 - 02:00:34 | Speaker 3:

Because you were probably ordering on the app, weren't you?

02:00:34 - 02:00:35 | Speaker 1:

I was ordering on, yeah, DoorDash.

02:00:35 - 02:00:43 | Speaker 3:

That drives me crazy. I know, and different Starbuxes have different options. It drives me nuts. Anyways, the brisket is an upcharge.

02:00:43 - 02:00:44 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I'll try that.

02:00:45 - 02:00:47 | Speaker 3:

I order them all the time.

02:00:47 - 02:01:00 | Speaker 1:

We just drove off the road, but I'm okay with it because it's for food. We're going to give you a chance to win Justin Timberlake tickets, 95th caller, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, 95th caller. a pair of tickets to see Justin Timberlake.

02:01:01 - 02:01:03 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:01:03 - 02:01:05 | Speaker 1:

02:01:14 - 02:01:16 | Speaker 1:

There's nothing else on TV. Let me tell you something. Hey, Drake.

02:01:17 - 02:01:36 | Speaker 4:

He edged out Michael Jackson's legendary 1993 halftime show performance. So Kendrick was 133.5. Michael Jackson was 133.4. Wow. I mean, so close. Another shot at Drake. You want to know the top 10, by the way? So it's Kendrick, then Usher.

02:01:36 - 02:01:36 | Speaker 2:

Usher, baby.

02:01:37 - 02:01:47 | Speaker 4:

Rihanna, Katy Perry. Gaga coming in at five. Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Madonna. Then Beyonce. Then the Black Eyed Peas. That's the top 10. I'm surprised Prince actually wasn't on here or JT and...

02:01:47 - 02:01:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. What? It is. Almost in order. And I think that's what it is. Yes.

02:01:51 - 02:01:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, you're right, actually. Well, The Weeknd's not on here. That's crazy. He's missing.

02:01:57 - 02:02:01 | Speaker 1:

Which one was during COVID year? Was it? Was it the weekend? Yeah, was it? Huh.

02:02:02 - 02:02:04 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. J-Lo and she's here. I could be wrong.

02:02:04 - 02:02:50 | Speaker 4:

Speaking of Beyonce, her pre-sale for her new tour opened yesterday. Pre-sale. I think Jen tickets go on sale on Friday. Bruh, it was a wild, wild west. Yeah, and fans were frustrated. There were long wait times. There were all sorts of tech issues. I guess Ticketmaster crashed, like, right after the tickets for the Cowboy Carter tour went live. However, Ticketmaster is blaming fans for this. A Ticketmaster, excuse me, I cannot talk today, spokesperson said the site did not crash. We always advise fans to make sure they only use one tab, clear their cookies, and don't use any VPN software on their device. So she was saying all of these things probably contributed to you having an issue.

02:02:50 - 02:03:25 | Speaker 3:

but to me who doesn't have more than one tab open on their computer well that and my account logged me out yesterday and said that i had suspicious activity on the internet and so it wouldn't let me log in really so i couldn't even log in to try to get tickets once i finally got in you want to know what they were going for what oh let me tell you like thursday night chicago i'm talking three Three rows from the back, nosebleeds. We're going for like 800 bucks a ticket. No. I'm not kidding you. And then the fees on top of it, each ticket was going to be over $1,000. This is getting crazy.

02:03:26 - 02:03:32 | Speaker 4:

General sale, excuse me, Friday noon is when that's happening.

02:03:32 - 02:03:33 | Speaker 3:

It's infuriating.

02:03:33 - 02:03:33 | Speaker 4:

Hopefully they figure this out.

02:03:33 - 02:03:35 | Speaker 1:

I think Beyonce needs to be richer.

02:03:35 - 02:03:47 | Speaker 3:

No, but it's not her. I mean, it is her. It's all of these people for, quite frankly, using Ticketmaster. But Ticketmaster being this exploitative is infuriating.

02:03:47 - 02:03:54 | Speaker 2:

And the crazy thing, too, is for the people who are looking to purchase those tickets in the trade, you got to travel. Yeah. You're not only paying for the tickets, you're paying for the travel.

02:03:54 - 02:04:13 | Speaker 4:

Oof. That's pricey. All right. Representative Lauren Boebert of Colorado was spotted getting into a cab at 2 in the morning with Kid Rock. What? Sparking some speculation about his relationship status. I don't know why they were together. I mean, two in the morning.

02:04:13 - 02:04:14 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you know why they were together.

02:04:14 - 02:04:16 | Speaker 4:

You're going to get...

02:04:16 - 02:04:19 | Speaker 1:

She's the crazy one from Colorado that...

02:04:19 - 02:04:20 | Speaker 4:

Wasn't it a scandal with her?

02:04:21 - 02:04:23 | Speaker 1:

There's been a bunch of stuff with her, yeah.

02:04:23 - 02:04:26 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. She just got divorced two years ago.

02:04:27 - 02:04:30 | Speaker 1:

Well, she went to a show while she was married with another dude or something.

02:04:30 - 02:04:34 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Congratulations.

02:04:35 - 02:04:35 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:04:36 - 02:04:49 | Speaker 4:

Okay, CNN anchor Dana Bash did not seem thrilled yesterday. when mentioning Elon Musk changing his handle on X. Did you guys hear this story? No. Oh, we did. Again.

02:04:49 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 3:

Now, the disruptor-in-chief, Elon Musk, who apparently has adopted the alias, at least he changed his social media handle to Harry Balls, tweeted this morning.

02:05:00 - 02:05:20 | Speaker 2:

The democracy in America is being destroyed by judicial coup. An activist judge is not a real judge. I'm so dumb. I was reading this story before I actually watched the video. I'm like, Harry Bowles, what's so problematic about that? Because it's B-O-L-Z. But last week, CNN did a segment about a Doge employee using the digital alias Big Balls.

02:05:20 - 02:05:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:05:21 - 02:05:24 | Speaker 2:

So they were, like, talking about that. And then there's, I mean, people are going wild.

02:05:24 - 02:05:25 | Speaker 3:

Can I play you something funny?

02:05:25 - 02:05:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:05:26 - 02:05:32 | Speaker 3:

By the way, Elon's kid stole the show, I guess, in the Oval Office. He was picking his nose in the Oval Office.

02:05:32 - 02:05:39 | Speaker 2:

Yes, and Mom Grimes not happy that that little boy was being paraded around for all of the news channels yesterday.

02:05:39 - 02:05:57 | Speaker 3:

Did you see this? This was pretty funny. One of the basketball players, his last name is Dick. Did you know that? Yeah, Grady Dick. Grady Dick. It is unfortunate. Listen to this call. Hold on a second. This is the best. Hold on. Hold on, Stan. Hold on. Let me get that.

02:05:57 - 02:05:57 | Speaker 4:

So he got fouled.

02:05:58 - 02:06:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, he got fouled. And then here. Oh, jeez. I hate when I hate. Why does my Instagram do this all the time? Hold on.

02:06:05 - 02:06:07 | Speaker 2:

I hate Instagram reels.

02:06:08 - 02:06:11 | Speaker 3:

Oh, jeez. Hold on. Hold on. Stand by.

02:06:11 - 02:06:16 | Speaker 1:

The white got dick in the face, Craig. Oh, hold on a second. Hold on. See if he's okay.

02:06:17 - 02:06:20 | Speaker 3:

Grady Dick, who got hurt on that last transition opportunity.

02:06:20 - 02:06:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so I got dick in the face, Craig. See if he's okay. Is that not the greatest?

02:06:26 - 02:06:38 | Speaker 4:

Shanna, you like that. You're going to love it. I would change the name. So you know how, well, you probably don't know, but after games, players will switch jerseys. Okay. So there was one game where he switched with a player who had the last name Black.

02:06:41 - 02:08:07 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Put those together. Oh, my God. All right. And Valentine's Day is this Friday, in case you are somehow unaware. and a company called Cloud Words has ranked the 100 cities in the U.S. on their desirability as a place to propose. You bit my lip. As a place to propose, if you're thinking about popping the question. No shock to hear that New York City is number one, but Jersey is number two, Jersey City. I was like, what in the heck? Apparently, it's because there are so many different places where you get the New York City skyline in the background, followed by L.A., San Diego, Vegas, Chicago, Miami, Santa Ana, Anaheim, and San Fran. Those are the top 10 best large U.S. cities to propose. The bottom 10, Chesapeake, Virginia, Wichita, Winston-Salem, Lexington, Detroit, and Toledo are both on this list, followed by Spokane, Laredo, Texas, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Anchorage, Alaska. You know what I find interesting? It's always big cities and then Toledo. Like, why? Why do you throw Toledo? Keep it to the big cities. They're back-to-back on this list, too, Detroit, Toledo. We've got a beautiful new park right on the Maumee River, overlooks the skyline downtown. These people haven't even been to Toledo, or Detroit, for that matter. Yeah. For all of today's dirty, catch up on the podcast on the iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

02:08:07 - 02:08:37 | Speaker 3:

02:08:38 - 02:08:40 | Speaker 1:

02:08:40 - 02:09:04 | Speaker 3:

Fantastic, Chris. Nice to have you on. Chris, would you like to go see Justin Timberlake? That would be fantastic. You got tickets. Congratulations. We're going to set you up with a pair of tickets to see Justin Timberlake at Little Caesars Arena, and that's just in just like a little over a week. Congratulations to you. Enjoy that.

02:09:04 - 02:09:04 | Speaker 1:

Thank you very much.

02:09:04 - 02:09:31 | Speaker 3:

What a romantic Valentine's, post-Valentine's Day that's going to be for you. I love this song. It's such a good song. You know what I'm thinking for Friday, too, is I think Friday when I do the throwbacks, I'm going to do, I might do like slow songs or something. Okay. What do you think? Oh, for Friday? For Valentine's Day, yeah. Yeah. I like that. So I'm going to do like love song-y type of throwbacks.

02:09:31 - 02:09:32 | Speaker 4:

I like it. Theme it out.

02:09:32 - 02:09:33 | Speaker 3:

So, uh...

02:09:33 - 02:09:46 | Speaker 4:

Are we all wearing red or something? No. Why, bruh? Let's get into the spirit. I will be. Because they can see us. This is radio. They don't see us. It doesn't matter. Our vibe comes through the air. Mr. Cottage Cheese.

02:09:46 - 02:09:47 | Speaker 3:

I am so hungry.

02:09:48 - 02:10:04 | Speaker 4:

Let's do something. Pink, red, or white, something like that. That guy's wearing red or something. What? We were black. Well, at least, like, throw a pop of red in there or something. Okay. He's going to wear black, I'm black, I'm black, I'm black, I'm black, I'm black. He's rested up. Okay. He doesn't care.

02:10:04 - 02:10:07 | Speaker 2:

I have a black heart just for you.

02:10:07 - 02:10:07 | Unknown:

Okay.

02:10:08 - 02:10:47 | Speaker 2:

All right. What do we got here? What are we doing next? Let's see. Oh. This is where we're going next here on the Mojo of the Morning Show. Kevin brought up something on the radio yesterday. Perfect timing. That got him in trouble. Do you ever remember when you were a kid and you never thought that your parents could hear what you say and then all of a sudden out of the blue your mom would go kevin and then kevin kevin got reprimanded for something that he said on the radio yesterday call kevin's mother i want him oh yeah i have to deal with that what what happened what did

02:10:47 - 02:11:34 | Speaker 1:

you talk about yesterday well at the end of the show we uh had a conversation and the topic surrounded baking cookies and to see what i did there and uh i talked about what is a good time frame to have someone leave your home after that act has been accomplished uh what is it hypothetically is that hypothetical shannon that's why i love you yes hypothetically and my mom was listening and i got a text message like not even five minutes after we concluded the show that said you were doing good until that last one no class she says sex is more than a smash self-control and that was your business and i just don't know if i want to do this job

02:11:34 - 02:11:43 | Speaker 2:

that's all that's all she needed to say by the way it's like two it's like it's like a tooth

02:11:43 - 02:12:15 | Speaker 1:

it's two things in this situation one i'm in trouble for something i said out here And then, too, why is my mom still trying to decide how to speak and how not to speak? Because she's your mom. It doesn't. But you never – Drake has a lyric where he said – what does he say? He says, they scream out my failures and whisper my accomplishments. It's very rare when I say something positive on the show that she'll – now, it does happen. But 9% of the time she'll say, that was nice, Kevin. Good job. But 100% of the time when she disagrees, she's sending that text message.

02:12:16 - 02:12:47 | Speaker 2:

This is a common thing, I bet, for some of our listeners, because we got a lot of listeners. Actually, you don't even have to be. I was going to say, we got a lot of listeners in their 20s. You don't even have to be in your 20s. You could be in your 40s and your mom still is moming you. How many listeners still get their mother reprimanding them on things? And what was the last thing that your mom yelled at you about or reprimanded you about? 844 Mojo Live. By the way, to your mother, I agree with her. You are a filthy person.

02:12:47 - 02:12:58 | Speaker 1:

I'm really not, though. I think we all have multiple sides of ourselves. And I think there is enough filth to go around. I think my filth is just more out there.

02:12:58 - 02:13:03 | Speaker 2:

Will she have listened to the show just about 15, 20 minutes ago?

02:13:04 - 02:13:06 | Speaker 1:

I hope not. When you said a couple of things.

02:13:06 - 02:13:07 | Speaker 4:

I don't know.

02:13:07 - 02:13:08 | Speaker 2:

I love your mom.

02:13:08 - 02:13:09 | Speaker 4:

Are we getting her on?

02:13:10 - 02:13:13 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. Lydia? I mean, Lydia, are you trying her or no?

02:13:13 - 02:13:16 | Speaker 4:

I love when she comes on with us. Give me one second. I'm looking through our directory.

02:13:17 - 02:13:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh, she's trying to find. Oh, you know what? We might not have saved. Kevin might have to. Kevin's mom. Too bad.

02:13:24 - 02:13:26 | Speaker 1:

I'll just keep soliciting all day. What will we do?

02:13:27 - 02:13:30 | Speaker 2:

Kev's mom. Hold on. Just type in here. Let's see.

02:13:30 - 02:13:51 | Speaker 4:

It's not that deep. You want to know what's funny? Kev, yesterday, Lucy and Smith told me that their babysitter turned us on in the car on the way to school and they had to say to her, our mom doesn't allow us to listen to the show because she said it's inappropriate and i was like yes this is true good job i'm like it's it's really not inappropriate it's only kev that's inappropriate no no no no you banging for the

02:13:51 - 02:14:08 | Speaker 2:

windows i love that uh that your mom though does that because for anybody else they would be like oh crap for kevin i don't even think he cares he'll probably in about an hour from now have another topic about smashing or something like that.

02:14:08 - 02:14:09 | Speaker 1:

What did I respond with?

02:14:09 - 02:14:10 | Speaker 4:

Take her. She's trying to tell me no.

02:14:10 - 02:14:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no, hold on, hold on, hold on. Mom, are you there?

02:14:14 - 02:14:16 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I'm here. Oh, mama.

02:14:17 - 02:14:23 | Speaker 2:

We understand that Kevin said some things on the radio yesterday that he should not be saying.

02:14:23 - 02:14:25 | Speaker 3:

Filthy. Naughty, naughty.

02:14:26 - 02:14:32 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Now, Mom, what's the longest punishment that you remember you've ever had to give Kevin?

02:14:32 - 02:14:46 | Speaker 3:

you know kevin really didn't get punishment really okay you would just you would just give him uh give him a talking to right talking to and maybe just a moment of time out so he can

02:14:46 - 02:14:51 | Speaker 1:

meditate on what he did yes she she kind of let i will say this i love my mom for that she let me

02:14:51 - 02:14:56 | Speaker 2:

and my sister go crazy to be honest with you guys really didn't go crazy though did you i mean you

02:14:56 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 1:

guys were good kids. We weren't bad kids. Yeah, nah. We was chilling. What kind of punishment

02:15:00 - 02:15:05 | Speaker 4:

should we give him for that conversation that he brought up yesterday that was just I mean he needs

02:15:05 - 02:15:12 | Speaker 2:

to repent don't you think mom I think so I think he needs tape on the mouth for at least an hour

02:15:12 - 02:15:19 | Speaker 3:

like a bar of soap my grandma did that one time did you ever do the bar of soap thing with Kevin

02:15:19 - 02:15:35 | Speaker 4:

because I remember when Chelsea did that uh with the boys uh she did it with Joey and and I maybe Jacob, but Luke never got it. Luke, by the way, got the pottiest of mouths. But I remember they just had to sit there and bite on a bar of soap or something like that, because they swore.

02:15:35 - 02:15:43 | Speaker 3:

No bar of soap with Kevin. Mama, stop playing. You're trying to act. I got a scar on my knee right now from when Mama came in the room and beat the hell out of me with a belt buckle.

02:15:43 - 02:15:45 | Speaker 4:

Really? Mom, tell us more.

02:15:45 - 02:15:47 | Speaker 3:

She beat my ass in the tub one time?

02:15:48 - 02:15:49 | Speaker 4:

Really? I don't remember what I did.

02:15:50 - 02:16:08 | Speaker 3:

I don't remember. Yeah, what did you do? Come on. Mom, what did you do? She beat my ass in the tub one time? I remember one time She made me take my pants off, and she said, lay over the couch. So I was propped up, beat me. She was in a wheelchair because she broke her ankle, threw her keys in my back, felt like I got shot. She beat me with an extension cord one time. She knows what she's doing. My favorite.

02:16:08 - 02:16:20 | Speaker 4:

My favorite were my buddies of mine whose moms used to hit them with a wooden spoon and then use the wooden spoon to make cookies the next week. I'd be like, that tastes like your ass.

02:16:20 - 02:16:26 | Speaker 6:

My mom used to do the hairbrush to the top of the head. Do you know how bad that hurt? Oh, we still talk about that.

02:16:27 - 02:16:38 | Speaker 4:

Kev's mom, he's a wild one now. I really kind of hope that this guy gets into a relationship because I don't know if we might get fined by the FCC for the stuff this guy talks about.

02:16:38 - 02:16:42 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling you. Yeah. Well, just keep praying, Ma.

02:16:42 - 02:16:46 | Speaker 4:

We love you. You did a fantastic job raising this guy. Take care of yourself.

02:16:47 - 02:16:52 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. I love you, Ma. Take care, Mojo. Enjoy that cottage cheese. I love you. Thank you.

02:16:53 - 02:17:01 | Speaker 4:

Thank you, beautiful. I love you. Hold on a second here. Is it Jonna or Jonna? Who is this?

02:17:01 - 02:17:02 | Speaker 6:

Yes, it's Jonna.

02:17:02 - 02:17:03 | Speaker 4:

Jonna, what's going on?

02:17:05 - 02:17:40 | Speaker 6:

Hey, first time, long time. Hey, Jonna's on the phone. So my mom has this longstanding trend of just tracking my lead chair location. And I'm 27 years old. And no matter what time, I stay out late till. She'll be calling me or texting me, saying on a school night is what she calls it. I'm at work. I've been out of school for like six years now. Yes. And she'll be like, why aren't you home? The other day I was out to eat with my coworkers, and she was like, it's 9 o'clock. Why aren't you in bed? I'm like.

02:17:42 - 02:17:42 | Speaker 4:

I love it.

02:17:42 - 02:17:43 | Speaker 6:

I'm like.

02:17:43 - 02:17:46 | Speaker 4:

It's your mom. She can do it. She can still do it.

02:17:46 - 02:17:47 | Speaker 6:

She'll always be tracking me.

02:17:48 - 02:17:53 | Speaker 4:

You know what? It's good for her to do that because you shouldn't be out on a school night like that. You need to get to bed.

02:17:54 - 02:17:55 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, right, exactly.

02:17:56 - 02:18:01 | Speaker 4:

Jonna, tell mom we said hi. Play this podcast for her that you were on the radio today. What's up, Michael? How you doing?

02:18:02 - 02:18:04 | Speaker 1:

I'm good. How are you guys this morning?

02:18:04 - 02:18:06 | Speaker 4:

We're doing okay. How great is Kev's mom?

02:18:07 - 02:18:16 | Speaker 1:

Kev's mom is great. I love the comparisons of how all of us got beat as a child. Mine was Italian, so mine was the wooden spoon as well.

02:18:17 - 02:18:19 | Speaker 4:

Does your mom still check up on you?

02:18:21 - 02:18:49 | Speaker 1:

She does. My comment on this subject was I'm about to turn 30 later this year and in my life have not had a lot of long-term girlfriends, but a lot of short. But whenever I do have one that lasts longer than like three months, my mom lectures me since I don't have any kids yet about, you know, how it works and to not accidentally have one. Like I'm not almost 30 and know how that works. She gives you the talking.

02:18:49 - 02:19:01 | Speaker 4:

I like it. She makes sure you wrap it up, right? exactly i love it what's your mom's name amory hello beautiful lady is she from the east side

02:19:01 - 02:19:13 | Speaker 1:

too is she an east side italian well i'm from i'm from new york city originally okay all right that's way east side yeah yeah yeah exactly ladies side all the way to the oceans fantastic

02:19:13 - 02:19:20 | Speaker 4:

man thanks michael what's going on uh mike or shannon what's up shannon hi hi

02:19:20 - 02:19:43 | Speaker 5:

uh so i am 31 and we went out the other day and i was wearing a sweatshirt and i forgot to put on a bra oh boy um my mom was like what is wrong with you you're old enough and blah blah blah i'm like mom i don't want to wear one i don't need to with a sweatshirt ah she's going to tell

02:19:43 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 4:

you about all those perverted boys that are going to be looking at you yep that's what she's going be saying one of them sitting across from me her name is shannon shannon on the phone shannon

02:20:00 - 02:20:04 | Speaker 2:

Braless Shannon on the phone here. Perky personality. Oh, stop it.

02:20:04 - 02:20:06 | Speaker 3:

You are obsessed with s***.

02:20:07 - 02:20:09 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Morgan? Hi.

02:20:10 - 02:20:11 | Speaker 3:

Hi, how are y'all this morning?

02:20:11 - 02:20:16 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. By the way, Kevin is not here right now. His mom just sent him up to his room. What's going on?

02:20:20 - 02:20:34 | Speaker 3:

02:20:34 - 02:20:37 | Speaker 2:

Wow, wow, wow. What movie was that? Wire hanger.

02:20:37 - 02:20:38 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

02:20:39 - 02:20:46 | Speaker 2:

No more wire hangers. That was a mommy dearest. Yes, yes. By the way, the mood just changed.

02:20:47 - 02:21:04 | Speaker 1:

02:34:14 - 02:35:01 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning. 844-665-6548. 844-MOJO-LIVE. Text is 95500. If you get a call after you send a text in to us, that's usually from us telling you that we want you to say your comment that you text in on the air. you guys ever house it for anybody you ever have that happen to you like when you either maybe you're younger or like your parents had friends or no like usually usually people that house it are people that either live with their families still or they live in like an apartment they want to like live in a house for like a weekend or something like that and do somebody a favor make some money. So we had You made money doing this?

02:35:01 - 02:35:04 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. I used to get paid to house sit for friends all the time.

02:35:04 - 02:35:05 | Speaker 1:

You made money doing it.

02:35:05 - 02:37:38 | Speaker 3:

This weekend, we had Susie, whose family is friends with us, house sit for us. And she's like 24 or something like that, 23, 24. And when she was going to house sit for us, she was also going to watch the dogs. She had, like, asked the question. She's like, you know, is there anywhere that I shouldn't go? And I think that was kind of her way of saying, do you guys have, like, a sex swing or something? that or whatever like no but she was like where do i where would i sleep and we're like oh you know you can sleep you know in any of the boys rooms or you know we got a room in our basement whichever which is kind of a cool room and so um so she's asking all those questions we're telling her like where the dog's food is and how to feed the dog and it brought back a memory of i used to house sit for coach mcintyre my basketball coach and coach mac uh he had a um he had an amazing house like he had a hot tub in his house that was freaking ridiculous it was so nice we had a hot tub in his house in his house didn't it smell no it was wild he so he had he had like one of those uh covered porches type things oh okay and it was like a covered outside porch but in the summertime you could open that things up but otherwise you keep free of mosquitoes yeah and you'd go outside on this covered porch first off you open up the the sliding door and go out there and it was like crazy how just incredible it was like he also dated younger girls all the time and then he eventually got married and when he when he got married he married this beautiful younger you know woman and he was probably like 30s or something like that okay and um i knew that the hot tub was how he used to get girls all the time because he'd bring them over to his house he was a single guy had a hot tub and i remember i would bring buddies over and we would have like without him knowing because this is pre like ring camera days we would come over to the house and i would go hey guys welcome to my house would you like to come to my hot tub and i would have like people like come over and we would have like guys and girls over and we'd all have like a hot tub party and then i'd have to clean it up by sunday night because he was coming home you know he was driving back home from wherever i think he had family that was in iowa or something so long long story short i was thinking about this when suzy was staying at the house like do you think like when you house it like would it would be cool like throw a party in the house or do you when you go to their person's house like do you go through their stuff because you're there alone the entire time and all you're doing is making sure that either nobody robs the house or if they get a

02:37:38 - 02:37:42 | Speaker 2:

package or something delivered it gets brought in like sometimes there's there's a pet you know as

02:37:42 - 02:37:49 | Speaker 3:

Well, yeah, like if I was going to house it, I would go through everything that the people have.

02:37:49 - 02:37:54 | Speaker 2:

See, I would not because I would be so terrified that there are cameras. Exactly. Yeah.

02:37:54 - 02:38:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I guess I would think about that first. I would ask that question, too. Hey, by the way, I just want to make sure like you have cameras like I don't want to like, you know, get in and I would ask them that question because I would ask that question now only for my, hey, I'm not trying to do anything weird, but, you know, like occasionally if I go to the bathroom, I might go to the bathroom and walk out with my pants off or something like that to go change my clothes. Do they have to tell you? I would think that people would be honest about it. We have cameras in the outside of our house. We don't have anything inside. But I'm saying I wouldn't

02:38:23 - 02:38:31 | Speaker 2:

want to rifle through somebody's stuff if I were house sitting because even if I would think that there were secret cameras, I was being tested.

02:38:33 - 02:39:37 | Speaker 3:

844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 If you've ever house sat for somebody, did you ever go through their stuff and did you find anything interesting at all? Or has there anybody that has ever house sat for somebody and had like something crazy happen? Because I used to think this with Coach McIntyre because he was such a smart guy. I used to think he has to know that we were having hot tub parties at his house. Oh, yeah. Like there was crazy things. I remember one time putting on his pajamas once too. Why? So now you're going too far. Like as a joke? That was funny. The guy had like these nice pajamas and I'm like Walking around. And then when I looked at him. Did you talk like him too when he was in his clothes? I know you did. Yeah. By the way, he was a really great basketball coach. And it was funny because I would have his pajamas on the whole time, and he was kind of like the guy that would yell at you all the time. He was like Tom. Picture I'm house-hitting for Tom Izzo, and picture I'm wearing Tom Izzo's pajamas. How funny is just the visual thought of that? What's going on? Mojo in the morning. Hello. Hi.

02:39:39 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 1:

Hi. good morning i have a house sitter story yeah tell me i had the house sitter i wasn't the house sitter i had a house sitter okay so it was one of my best friend's daughter she was 16 at the time and my husband and i were going out of town and we had exterior cameras nothing interior and she didn't know

02:39:59 - 02:40:29 | Unknown:

Thank you.

02:40:00 - 02:41:22 | Speaker 6:

about it i never thought to tell her um and at about 11 o'clock at night she was spent the night at her house we had two dogs about 11 o'clock at night the camera exterior camera goes off and we're looking and some guy comes up to the door and she lets this boy in and it was like a bad movie i couldn't stop watching he's done at about 12 30 they went out to my side porch and they're smoking marijuana okay and she's 16 at the time and my husband and i are like we can't shut it off at this point right and then at like 3 a.m she takes off leaves my dogs in the house doesn't show up till like nine o'clock the next morning oh no yeah oh yeah and then when we get home i'm like hey how'd it go last night and she completely lied to our faces oh it was great well i just hung out with the dogs all night busted what time did the dogs get up to go out in the morning she's like oh i let him out about eight and to this day she has no idea oh my husband and i sat there for two hours watching

02:41:22 - 02:41:29 | Speaker 4:

watching. That's crazy. And she lied the entire time to you. That's amazing. Initial A, your voice disguised. What's up?

02:41:31 - 02:41:37 | Speaker 7:

I housed back for a family one time, and I was going to the bathroom.

02:41:37 - 02:41:49 | Speaker 4:

Sarah, stop for one second. Are you on speaker or something? Pull it off speaker because it's cutting in and out. Sorry. There you are. Go ahead. What did you do?

02:41:50 - 02:41:57 | Speaker 7:

Okay, so I was house-sitting for a family remember one time, and I found adult diapers, and I put one on and locked her on the house.

02:41:58 - 02:42:02 | Speaker 1:

Why did they have adult diapers? Were they older?

02:42:02 - 02:42:11 | Speaker 7:

I don't know. Really? I have no idea, but it was so funny. I have pictures of me wearing one. It's so funny. By the way,

02:42:11 - 02:42:21 | Speaker 4:

it's such a stupid, kind of goofy thing that you did, but the idea that you're walking around trying on their stuff is kind of fun, isn't it? I know it sounds so weird.

02:42:22 - 02:42:26 | Speaker 7:

It sounds like I was like invading their privacy.

02:42:26 - 02:42:36 | Speaker 4:

Would you ever, by the way, do it in an adult diaper? Because I always wondered that. Like, would you like want to sit in your own duty? You know, I don't know.

02:42:36 - 02:42:38 | Speaker 1:

You've thought about this. I have.

02:42:38 - 02:42:41 | Speaker 4:

I have road trips and stuff. What's up, Damien? How you doing?

02:42:42 - 02:43:24 | Speaker 3:

That's great. How are you guys? So we were supposed to water the plants for a bunch of snowbirds as they went down south for the winter and we basically made it our house we partied all the time in there but we ended up having a strobe light one night and the people behind us noticed that the strobe light was going on and they called the cops and they got busted but our friend's car was stuck in the garage so we got busted so then it she couldn't get it for like another month because the house ended up getting locked up, and it was horrible.

02:43:24 - 02:43:37 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God, like impounded because of it. I love that you had strobe lights, and it set the neighbors like, why did the Johnsons have a strobe light going off in there? Ray, this is a great one. Ray, you housed that, and what did you find?

02:43:38 - 02:43:54 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, we housed that for my friend's aunt, and she was a single mom of one, and she didn't have a boyfriend or husband or anything, and we found a suitcase of just gags and ropes and all types of toys and lube.

02:43:55 - 02:44:00 | Speaker 4:

Wow. The aunt was a kink, huh? She had some kinky stuff going on?

02:44:01 - 02:44:05 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah. She was a coach and everything. It was pretty great.

02:44:05 - 02:44:20 | Speaker 4:

I love it. It's so great when you go and you house it for people that are like, this is my aunt. What's up, Mark? How are you doing? Hi, Mark. Mojo, what's up, dog? How are you doing, buddy? i'm good man how are you guys good well we're talking about house sitting and have you ever

02:44:20 - 02:44:53 | Speaker 2:

went through their stuff or did something crazy um never went through anybody's stuff but i was house sitting for an aunt and uncle and so i saw something so they had this this uh this garage that was not attached what do you call that not attached garage yeah and i saw a guy walking in and out of the garage i couldn't figure out what was going on so they'd been out of town for a week or two so i called the police because they were freaking me out uh turns out there was a guy that had moved into the rafters above their garage and he was like tapped into their electricity and he

02:44:53 - 02:45:06 | Speaker 1:

had furniture up there and he had a bed up there they didn't know like it wasn't somebody they were Renting? water or something yeah no no they had no idea whoa shut and you were the one that noticed it

02:45:06 - 02:45:11 | Speaker 3:

when you were house sitting say that again you you were the person that noticed it because you

02:45:11 - 02:45:23 | Speaker 1:

were house sitting for them i think that he saw them pack up and leave and assumed that they weren't there that's that's what my guess was wow i mean he he had a whole setup there you know

02:45:23 - 02:45:34 | Speaker 3:

pictures on the walls it was it was freaky weird did they find out who the guy was like was he just somebody that was driving down the street and saw it it was just some some guy he was he

02:45:34 - 02:45:40 | Speaker 1:

had a car he was parking the car on the street at night i mean he was living there unreal you

02:45:40 - 02:46:16 | Speaker 3:

know what they should have done they should have found out about him first and had him house sit for him right absolutely or charge him rent or something they would have been like hey we could kill two birds with one stone uh your opportunity to go the uh show's happening at ford field Text to win in the word that we will text this hour. Let's pick a weekend song. How about let's do Timeless, the weekend's new big song. Timeless. Text Timeless to 95500. Standard text and data rates to apply. And you can see the weekend at Ford Field.

02:46:17 - 02:46:19 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:46:19 - 02:46:44 | Speaker 3:

All right, Shannon's going to do the Dirty. Coming up here in a second, I want to introduce you to a very close friend named Keyshawn, who, for Heart Month, somebody that you really need to pay attention to because so many people, especially our listeners, younger listeners, don't ever think that they could ever have like a heart issue happen to them. This guy had something crazy happen. And we'll talk in just a couple of minutes. What do you got going on in the Dirty this morning?

02:46:44 - 02:46:58 | Speaker 4:

I want to give a shout out to Detroit Piston Malik Beasley. Yeah. Why? Last night was a record-setting night for him. He now passed Sadiq Bey for the most threes made in a season.

02:47:00 - 02:47:01 | Speaker 3:

You were supposed to cheer or something.

02:47:02 - 02:47:06 | Speaker 4:

Let's get it. No, yeah, for the Pistons, but of anybody.

02:47:06 - 02:47:17 | Speaker 3:

So he's hit more threes this season than any Piston in the history of the franchise. And the last one was Sadiq. Whatever happened to Sadiq Bey? He got traded to Atlanta. Did we get anything good for Sadiq Bey at all?

02:47:17 - 02:47:35 | Speaker 2:

Because that guy was like a first-round pick. I mean, we got better. Okay. But, yeah, I mean, come on. It's not even all-star breaking. And this guy is already, he's... How many threes? He has 212, I think, last time. This year? This year. That's more than Steph Curry. He's second in the entire league, only behind Anthony Edwards. He's balling right now.

02:47:35 - 02:49:50 | Speaker 4:

And also a record-setting night for Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns. 30,000 points. He is now part of that club. Slim Reaper. Kanye West, lots of fallouts after that. Well, after a lot of things. But I think the straw that broke the camel's back was the Easy.com t-shirt that had a swastika on it so yesterday he was dumped by his talent agent daniel mccarty writing on social media he does not represent yay anymore he made that decision obviously for a bunch of different reasons the the harmful and hurtful comments the claim to love hitler the um the nazi t-shirt which by the way that has been pulled off the site easy.com is down at this point so um And then you may have seen a bunch of photos going around yesterday. I know I saw them everywhere of certain celebrities wearing a shirt that had the outline of a hand flashing the middle finger along with the star of David inside of that hand. And then Kanye written underneath. None of those are real. Unfortunately, they're all AI. And in fact, Scarlett Johansson, she was one of the celebrities wearing the shirts, is now urging U.S. legislators to place limits on AI as those images of her and other Jewish celebrities opposing Kanye go viral. So the photos were ultimately made into a video. And it's ScarJo, Drake, Jerry Seinfeld, Steven Spielberg, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Black, Mila Kunis, Lenny Kravitz. It ends with an AI Adam Sandler flipping his finger at the camera, flipping off the camera. So Scarlett Johansson said, this is the misuse of AI. And she's calling it out, saying no matter the messaging. And yes, she said, I am a Jewish woman. I have no tolerance for anti-Semitism or hate speech of any kind. But she believes that the potential for hate speech multiplied by AI is far greater a threat than any one person who comes forward to take accountability for it. So she made a statement. And in that statement, she said, we must call out the misuse of AI, no matter it's messaging, or we risk losing a hold on reality. I'm wondering if they will make those T-shirts, though, because I feel like there are a lot of people that are like, oh, I buy that and wear that and hope that, you know, the price is a donation to a great organization.

02:49:50 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 3:

Well, and I think really I think that Kanye stuff is interesting because I think that, you know, Kanye has done this before where he said things that people.

02:50:00 - 02:50:34 | Speaker 4:

have deemed as anti-Semitic and then now to continue to do this and especially in a time right now where we've got so much you know going on in the Middle East between Israel and everything happened with Hamas and stuff so I'll be honest with you I don't get how Kanye gets away with this stuff I really don't I mean I know that people call him mentally ill and he is he is mentally ill but he still gets invited to go to the Grammys and hang out so yeah Kevin's been very quiet are you gonna still be a kanye fan after this uh i probably will listen to his music

02:50:34 - 02:50:40 | Speaker 5:

when i leave here i still love kanye's music yeah it's i don't agree with obviously what he's doing

02:50:40 - 02:51:28 | Speaker 3:

but i mean i can't help like what i like kim kardashian fans are pleading begging her to get back together with pete davidson after his latest glow up he is the new face of the clothing brand reformation and yesterday all of his photos and the commercial for that brand dropped and i mean he he looks all right no all his tattoos are gone it looks like really a lot of them a lot of them i mean for the most part you don't how much did that cost to get rid of all those tattoos he's been doing that process for a long time but i think it's so smart uh reformation to use him as the face of the brand right now but it was so funny is that a good brand it's a great brand. They have a store at Somerset. Their stuff online is kind of expensive, but you can get it on sale. Do they make extra

02:51:28 - 02:51:31 | Speaker 4:

larges? I don't know.

02:51:31 - 02:51:32 | Speaker 5:

What is it? Like underwear?

02:51:33 - 02:51:58 | Speaker 3:

No, it's just like clothes. It is? Oh, like a normal clothes. So it's like jeans and things? It's mostly women's. I don't even know. Oh, it is? Yeah. I don't know. Okay. As the legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni over creative control on the set of It Ends With Us intensifies, somebody dug up this old video of Blake publicly admitting her desire for more creative control over the projects that she's involved in.

02:51:58 - 02:52:12 | Speaker 2:

Sometimes I had directors or producers or writers who would welcome that and invite that once they saw that I was able to offer that and sometimes I would have people who really resented that because they were like we just hired you to be an actor. Yeah she said early on

02:52:12 - 02:52:17 | Speaker 3:

she would downplay her creative ambitions during early meetings. I would just seem like I'm just

02:52:17 - 02:52:31 | Speaker 2:

there to be the actor and ready to get the gig. I wouldn't reveal that I actually need to have authorship in order to feel fulfilled so i think that for them sometimes that might have felt like a rug pull because you're like you're trying to assert yourself into something that we didn't

02:52:31 - 02:52:51 | Speaker 3:

hire you to do that was 2022 fast forward a few years and that's exactly what happened with this movie did you guys see what president trump did yesterday in regards to straws he says no more paper straws enough already no more paper straws enough already why is it the clip i'm

02:52:51 - 02:52:59 | Speaker 4:

playing the clip. Hold on a second. Let me do it one more time. Nothing played. Oh, no. Did somebody edit this right or not? Well, that would be me.

02:52:59 - 02:53:01 | Speaker 3:

So, oh, dang it. That's my fault.

02:53:02 - 02:53:04 | Speaker 4:

No more pay. What did you do?

02:53:04 - 02:53:09 | Speaker 3:

I don't know what I did. Be professional. Get it together.

02:53:10 - 02:53:11 | Speaker 4:

What did he say?

02:53:12 - 02:53:17 | Speaker 3:

Plastic straws are back in. The paper straws are making their way out.

02:53:17 - 02:53:30 | Speaker 4:

It's interesting that he... Officially. He did during his campaign say he was going to do that. He was going to try to get rid of all this stuff. He did it. So paper straws suck because you can't even have two drinks with a paper straw. They get so soggy.

02:53:30 - 02:53:51 | Speaker 3:

They're cute, but they get soggy. And lastly, data shared by Pornhub shows searches for football themed videos surged during and after the Eagles victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. They said searches for the term Super Bowl jumped a whopping 8,000

02:53:51 - 02:53:58 | Speaker 4:

and 32 percent i have heard i can't read some of these no i i have heard that that nobody goes on

02:53:58 - 02:54:38 | Speaker 3:

porn on uh super bowl sunday that's like a room boner a search term that grew 240 percent it's like that thanksgiving hot horny cheerleader up 734 percent i mean you know okay also saw a significant search buzz up 180%, but they actually said based on per minute page view data, U.S. traffic on Pornhub hit its lowest point at 8.01 p.m. It dropped 70% just before Kendrick took the stage for halftime. For all of today's Dirty, check out the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app.

02:54:43 - 02:54:45 | Speaker 1:

The morning's dirty on the 30.

02:54:46 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 4:

All right, it is Mojo in the morning. Could you imagine this? You're 21 years old, and you think that you're the healthiest ever. When you're 21 years old, honestly, you live life like, you know, every day is going to happen.

02:55:00 - 02:55:46 | Speaker 2:

going to be your last because you're partying and you're having fun and all this stuff happens to you that, you know, happens and you just got to work off the hangovers and all the partiness the next day. Well, imagine you're 21 years old and you start feeling tired. You start having, you know, a little bit of draining in your life where you're like, oh God, I'm just not feeling great. And then you end up having what could be a life threatening ending heart issue. On the phone with us right now is Keyshawn Spencer as we continue with Heart Month and our friends over at Michigan Medicine, the University of Michigan, and the Frankel Cardiovascular Center, Awareness of Heart Disease. Keyshawn, you're now 31 years old, so this was 10 years ago, right? Yes, it was. How you doing, Keyshawn?

02:55:47 - 02:55:48 | Speaker 1:

I'm doing pretty good. How are you doing?

02:55:48 - 02:55:53 | Speaker 2:

Fantastic. So where were you 10 years ago when you, and tell us the symptoms that you were

02:55:53 - 02:56:24 | Speaker 1:

being faced with uh i was in battle creek michigan when all this happened 10 years ago um i was feeling tired uh the main symptom that i was having in the warning sign for me was i couldn't keep nothing down especially water i couldn't keep anything down so i was like literally going to work still like doing day-to-day lives but still wasn't able to hold down water and that last time like i threw up water that's when i'm like yeah i need to go

02:56:24 - 02:56:30 | Speaker 2:

get checked out what did you do for a living what were you doing um i was a cook at applebee's and

02:56:30 - 02:56:35 | Speaker 1:

i was going to school honestly i was in college at that time did you think at the time did you

02:56:35 - 02:56:51 | Speaker 2:

think at the time it was just exhaustion from working and going to school and all that um i thought i was getting the flu honestly yeah and so you finally when you're not able to keep water down which by the way some of the other signs too are what not sleeping uh yeah i'm not

02:56:51 - 02:57:09 | Speaker 1:

able to sleep like i stayed up a lot um another symptoms like swollen like being very swollen yeah because yeah that was what my brother had pointed out to me like you're very swollen and you haven't ate you haven't done anything and you're just swollen yeah you know that feeling

02:57:09 - 02:57:29 | Speaker 2:

that you get after you eat a bunch of salty food and you get yeah you feel puffy you feel puffy And your feet is a big thing, too. A lot of people don't know this. If you look at your socks and if you have indentation on your legs and stuff from your socks, a lot of times you could be retaining water, which could be a sign of heart disease. So, Keyshawn, you finally go to the doctor, and what ends up happening?

02:57:31 - 02:58:35 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I ended up going to the ER three times, actually. So I ended up going to the ER, and that first two times, they were like, it's nothing. It was the flu. but that last time like thank god for that er doctor he was like yeah you need to go to your prime care uh prime prime care position yeah you need to go get an appointment with her like immediately and you know i got admitted to the hospital they let me know that i was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and you need to get in touch with your primary care physician so that was was the real big open eye opener and i really didn't take it serious if i'm being quite honest i really wasn't taking it serious i was like you know it was just a little phase like i don't know what because i really didn't draft the information that i was getting they were they were throwing a lot at me so i guess i should say i was a little bit overwhelmed yeah so i wasn't taking it too serious so i was like ducking off and not paying attention but you know it's funny is i i've talked

02:58:35 - 02:59:17 | Speaker 2:

about this with heart disease heart disease is like the hidden killer because when it happens you're done it's not like cancer where you get diagnosed and they're like okay we got a form of treatment here it's like you get died you get diagnosed with heart disease when you die or you have a heart attack or in your case you can't keep water down and unfortunately if we all had the awareness ahead of time to keep some things out of our lives or just know that our genetics are in the greatest and we got to be aware of this. But we put it off. We think it's the flu. Everybody's got the flu and now with the flu around, you guys got to make sure that if you're not feeling good that in this case, like with Keyshawn would go to the doctor all the time, they kept saying to him, eh, you're okay.

02:59:17 - 02:59:27 | Speaker 3:

I feel like a lot of people I've heard say they knew in their gut that there was more to it than that. Yeah, like thank God you advocated for yourself.

02:59:28 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 1:

I definitely did. like i kept going i kept going to the like me and my sister kept going to the er like every day like every other day after i get out of work yeah like this is not it like this was not no just ordinary because i'm like i can't keep down water like that was my biggest thing like i can't keep down water and i'm like i can't keep nothing down i can't eat i couldn't keep down even applesauce like that was all i was eating at that time too so yeah i would try to eat apple brought couldn't keep it down well and a lot of times

02:59:59 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 2:

people

03:00:00 - 03:00:33 | Speaker 1:

build up this where they feel like they have anxiety and anxiety is definitely something that people realistically have but a lot of times you could be having symptoms and so one of the things that we want everybody to know and michigan medicine is so great at this is build awareness talk to your primary care get a primary care a lot of times you're 21 years old you don't even have a doctor right you go to a urgent care if you're not going to see a doctor on a regular basis yearly basis and you're not advocating for yourself nobody's advocating for you yep um so now you're 31 years old how's your health how's everything going i know you've been

03:00:33 - 03:00:58 | Speaker 2:

doing a lot with franklin yeah everything is really good really really good right now like i feel like i'm in the best best health form wise as i could be honestly like i'm doing everything that i'm should be doing i feel like for me i really advocate myself even after having the that i'm like you know the first couple years was definitely a struggle it was no easy road i tell

03:00:58 - 03:01:04 | Speaker 3:

you that what changes have you made what like daily changes have you made because you said

03:01:04 - 03:01:30 | Speaker 2:

you feel good you're living healthier um i'm just getting out i'm just being proactive like if you just get out and be proactive i always say positive affirmations to myself like i'm very positive i keep being positive because if you are not positive this thing will take you down like seriously because i'm like depression is definitely the thing that will take you down so

03:01:30 - 03:01:52 | Speaker 3:

definitely keep yourself i just see all the changes that mojo has made since your heart surgery i mean truly you get so much movement in now the way that you eat changed you are a crazy person about your sleep and these are all things that whether you've received a diagnosis in relation to heart health or not we should all be doing well in my in honestly my fear also is this

03:01:52 - 03:02:35 | Speaker 1:

sometimes the healthiest of people the people who are the most active don't realize that their genetics are causing for this knowing that your family has something in your family like there's a heart disease in your family is one of the first things and if you got it in your family then just understand there's a very good chance you could get it so why not just become more aware and have conversations, and that's what Michigan Medicine is really all about, is the awareness now. Don't just use them when you need to have the surgery. Use them to continue with your heart health. Keyshawn, I love that you came on the air with us because a lot of times people don't want to talk about this because it's embarrassing to be 21 years old and say, I got a heart issue, but you know what? You just saved lives by talking about it on the radio, buddy.

03:02:36 - 03:03:22 | Speaker 2:

Definitely. I appreciate that. but yeah definitely folks really like really gonna get checked out as soon as you start having symptoms like don't be like me like ignoring the symptoms a little bit and then start advocating for yourself when like there's really like you know your head deep in it just go get yourself checked out I always I tell these people because I live in Michigan Atlanta Michigan now I advocate for myself all the time and I tell these younger kids these younger people like you know go get checked out go go to the hospital go to the doctors stop going to urgent care like go get you a primary care physician like you really got to start taking care of yourself like the partying and drinking that can wait like but your health i'm like it can decline

03:03:22 - 03:05:45 | Speaker 1:

anytime you get one shot yeah thank you buddy i appreciate you going on the air with us and thank you to michigan medicine for all they're doing to build awareness for heart uh healthy month. Mojo in the morning. We got a second date update coming up here in just a little bit beforehand, though. I want to bring awareness to this because this is such a tragically sad story that is honestly happening way too often that we don't hear about. And yesterday, because of how immense this tragedy was, it has been brought to our forefront. And hopefully it's stories like this that will make people more aware but unfortunately i feel like people will just let it go away and it will just simply just never be talked about again um did you guys all hear the uh the story about the two-year-old and nine-year-old that died that were living in their car uh with their mom their mom's uh vehicle that was parked at the casino in greg town yeah this story is just gutting horrific so storage to kind of bring you up to speed on this thing um tatiana williams oh that's our alarm going off again what is going on here all day we're falling apart aren't we uh tatiana williams um is now in the news and the city of detroit and some of its services are definitely being scrutinized over the fact that this homeless mom who was living in her van that was parked in the casino parking lot at the Hollywood Casino, ran out of gas. They were using the car's heater to keep them warm, and the temperatures got so low that two of the kids had to get rushed to the hospital, and actually they believed that the two children were rushed to the hospital and were probably dead on arrival getting to the hospital. uh this woman now it turns out had reached out to city services uh months before to try to get help and everything kind of fell on deaf ears and not just once multiple times yeah on at least three

03:05:45 - 03:05:50 | Speaker 2:

different occasions she reached out seeking help i'm going to play for you some audio first off

03:05:50 - 03:06:26 | Speaker 1:

I want to play for you audio from the police chief and then audio from the mayor speaking about this. But first, I want to play you from Channel 7 WXYZ. They had the mom on, and they let her just speak. And I actually thought that the reporter who did this story was great in the fact his name is Darren Cunningham. He did the story and just let her speak, and they just played her speaking. It's a two-and-a-half-minute conversation with her explaining what happened to her.

03:06:29 - 03:09:14 | Speaker 2:

Yesterday, I woke them up to wake them up from school. My son wasn't moving. And I kept saying, Sadie, please get up. Please. Please, for me, just get up. Don't do this to me. and I tried to give him CPR because I'm a senior in the medical assistant. I've been working there since I was 17. I tried to give him CPR and I was just giving him CPR. I just kept saying, Fetty, don't leave me. Don't leave me, please. I saw the green and brown stuff come out of his mouth. I instantly rushed him to the hospital. I was yelling out the window, stop, stop, stop. We got to get through traffic. My baby, he's dying. We get to the hospital. I told Valet, can you go get some help? He took too long, so I got out the car to get help. They came to the car instantly grabbed my baby on his head, get a stretch. He's not breathing. Help. Code Blue. Everybody tried. I didn't even know my two-year-old was dying. I was in it with my nine-year-old. And they brought her in right after they pronounced him dead. and my mama came to me she said yaya that's what we call her but her name is amelia we just call her yaya and they said she wasn't breathing and they pronounced her dad too i asked everybody for help i called out of state i called cities i didn't know i called cities people asked me to call i even asked detroit i've been on camlist for the longest Everybody now wants to help. After I lost two kids, I've been asked for help. I feel like it wasn't daytime. I did everything I was supposed to do. They had everything. Everything they wanted. Only thing I didn't have was a house. But from electronics to clothes, anything they asked me for, my kids didn't even get whooped. I lost the one who made me a mother. I lost a two-year-old. It hurt losing two kids in one night. You know, I don't wish this on nobody. And if you can get help, please go get help, because I don't want nobody else to go through what I'm feeling. Just wherever you can get help from, if it's not from the city, the state, no other city or state, just go. Like, you don't have to suffer.

Her kids froze to death She She called She said on multiple occasions She says in that That clip that she told Channel 7 She says that She told them exactly what they were doing That they were living in their car And that they were parked And she was ignored And to be quite honest with you this is probably one of who knows how many that have done this exact same thing and how many more kids are going to have to die before something is done and i'm just blown away i i'm i always i i hear this stuff and i'm going

03:10:00 - 03:10:21 | Speaker 4:

This is the United States of America, for God's sakes. You know what I mean? I want to hear from the police chief. So Detroit has an interim police chief right now who came out and spoke about this and about an investigation. This is Todd Bettison, the interim police chief of the city of Detroit, speaking about these two babies that died.

03:10:22 - 03:11:02 | Speaker 1:

Children were asleep in a car on the ninth floor of a casino parking structure, the Hollywood Casino. When the mother realized that her son wasn't breathing, she did make a 911 call. But the friend in a Buick immediately transported the 9-year-old while en route to Children's Hospital. It realized at some point that the 2-year-old wasn't breathing. And so a telephone call was made to the friend that was transporting the 9-year-old to return so that the 2-year-old could be picked up. The whole entire family get into the Buick, and they all were transported to Children's Hospital.

03:11:03 - 03:11:13 | Speaker 4:

How is it that they were in the parking lot and the casino didn't know that there was people living in a car in a parking lot? I'm shocked by that.

03:11:13 - 03:11:14 | Speaker 3:

A question that needs to be answered.

03:11:16 - 03:11:31 | Speaker 4:

The mayor, Mayor Duggan, who's actually the outgoing mayor, now he's going to run for governor of the state of Michigan. and this doesn't look good on his watch, talking about the city services that dropped the ball big time on this.

03:11:32 - 03:12:21 | Speaker 2:

This family reached out to our homeless response team on November 25th. They had reached out earlier in the summer and even back into the previous year, but reached out on November 25th essentially saying they had been living with a family, they were no longer going to be able to keep living with that family, and needed a place to go. And in the course of that conversation, there was no resolution reached. I want a review of our call center and the housing specialists. I want to make sure that when people call, they get very clear options. We have to make sure that we do everything possible to make sure that this doesn't happen again. Absolutely.

03:12:21 - 03:12:37 | Speaker 3:

Facts. And our city, man, we shouldn't be judged on how many draft parties we can get or how many all-star bids we can acquire. Like, if we can't take care of our citizens and provide basic needs for people who need assistance and need help, then we're not doing what we're supposed to be doing.

03:12:37 - 03:13:08 | Speaker 4:

the uh police chief uh it said i guess uh in during that interview the wasn't in the clip that i played but said that they are presenting the facts to the wayne county prosecutor kim worthy to decide whether or not the mom should be charged so i mean to me i'm wondering where why why well is that i think that they're saying that she should have she shouldn't have been staying in the van when the van ran out of gas that was providing the heat i believe during what

03:13:08 - 03:13:32 | Speaker 5:

somebody said during the press conference yesterday and i don't know if it was i don't know who it was but had said that the mom that outreach workers were sent out to assess the situation and the the mom never called back yet the outreach workers also never checked back in so i'm wondering if that like i i can't wrap my brain around that piece that the mom could be

03:13:32 - 03:14:05 | Speaker 4:

criminally charged and i i don't know why we we don't have all the facts obviously there's something but there's something but we do know we do know for one thing that they probably get a bajillion of these calls and they probably and they probably have five people working and if that working in that department and it's honest i hate to say this it's probably a department that's set up not for anything other than just to look good i know it sounds weird to say that it's not set set up to actually fix things it's set up to just oh yeah yeah yeah we'll send it down there you know

03:14:05 - 03:14:22 | Speaker 6:

I don't even think it's that I just think they're not funded enough for the need and the need is exponentially growing and quickly I mean if you look at the homelessness numbers from a year ago till today it's gone up I think what is it like 12 percent rise in homelessness if not more like

03:14:22 - 03:14:46 | Speaker 5:

I did they're not properly staffed or resourced for the need and I do love what Mayor Duggan said about everything needs to be made more concise the options need to be made clearer because i think that that's a huge part of the problem is that they're they're not very well organized or laid out and so it's just like these these poor men and women are going where where do i turn to

03:14:46 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 3:

next and the focus shouldn't be how or why are we going to prosecute the mom like that doesn't need to be the resolution because there are we don't want to take a mother away from the children that she has left i guess the the focus

03:15:00 - 03:15:05 | Speaker 2:

needs to be where are the holes how do we plug them and how do we help this family now when

03:15:05 - 03:15:31 | Speaker 3:

Chelsea was working uh at that homeless shelter one of the things they said was they said the state would take away took away a lot of the funding um for their shelters and so a lot of the Salvation Army got lost funding a lot of these shelters lost funding and the sad sad thing is without you know places like the Detroit Rescue Mission you know that's out there which is a lot of times privately funded but should be getting money from state and federal they're not getting

03:15:31 - 03:15:42 | Speaker 2:

it because it's getting taken away from them and we look at all of these arenas that get tax breaks to build these multi-million dollar properties and you got people out here who kids dying in

03:15:42 - 03:15:56 | Speaker 3:

cars because they don't got heat the sad thing is with this too is it will build like i said and started off with this it will build awareness right now we'll all talk about this but then the next story comes and then the next story is not about this it will be about something else you

03:15:56 - 03:16:13 | Speaker 2:

know what i mean but i'm but i mean we're in media we're in journalism like that's that's what we do yeah right but it's people who are in these government agencies that are supposed to be doing the actual work yeah so when they hear these stories that's their job is to go out there and solve these issues what the hell are they doing yeah and i will say this listen i don't know the

03:16:13 - 03:16:36 | Speaker 3:

whole story you know mom you know sitting in the in the van and all the rest of that stuff why did she not as you know as an adult be able to say hey the van went off it's now too cold in here They said that the temperatures got down into the 20s inside of that vehicle. Well, what does she do? Well, try to go into a, see if she can go to the Detroit Rescue Mission or go to one of these homeless shelters.

03:16:36 - 03:16:39 | Speaker 1:

Like, how is she going to get there? I think so many people look at it from there.

03:16:40 - 03:16:52 | Speaker 3:

But how did she get to the hospital, though? There's a lot of people. Yeah, she's got a friend that can do it. Go to a friend's house. And why are people that know that they have family and friends that are living in vans not taking them in? Like, why are we not doing that?

03:16:52 - 03:16:58 | Speaker 2:

There's so many different questions there. What's the security guard doing for the parking lot? They ain't noticed somebody was up there sleeping in the van.

03:16:58 - 03:17:05 | Speaker 1:

I don't even know if that's a negative or if it's a, I saw you sleeping in the van. I'm not going to call the cops on you. You were already on hard times.

03:17:05 - 03:17:10 | Speaker 3:

But I hate to say it, though. You got to, because you got kids that are living in that thing. You got to protect them.

03:17:10 - 03:17:15 | Speaker 1:

But then she gets her kids taken away. And how does she afford the lawyer's fees to get her kids back?

03:17:15 - 03:17:17 | Speaker 3:

What's better, her kids taken away or the kids dying in the van?

03:17:17 - 03:17:24 | Speaker 1:

Well, I think we can say that from the perspective now. It would have been kids taken away. But we don't know what it was a week ago.

03:17:25 - 03:17:37 | Speaker 3:

I don't listen. There's a lot of things that are messed up here. The unfortunate thing is that that there are two kids that will never be able to live a life that they should have been able to live. Angel, what's going on?

03:17:38 - 03:18:08 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm just going to just had to say, like, it's not just your side over there by Detroit. Over here in Grand Rapids, I there's a small town just north of Grand Rapids, Sparta. I applied for their townhomes while I was still pregnant with my kid who's 10 months today and I went to go check on my application last week and they lost it like I have to reapply and I'm like I applied over a year ago because we're currently we're lucky enough we have family who is letting us stay with them but that's only going to be so long when we have two kids we pretty much take up their whole house

03:18:08 - 03:18:47 | Speaker 3:

yeah and so and again probably three people working in that place or five people working in that place, and they got a mound of people. And so the problem is that in a country like this that we give so much to so many others, we got to take care of our people. And we got to take care. Here you are, a mom with her kids, and we're not doing anything for them, but we're sending bajillions of dollars to every other place in the world and not doing anything for the people that are here that are going to die. Susan, what's going on?

03:18:48 - 03:19:04 | Speaker 4:

Hi, I'm just going into work. I just, that story made me cry and stop my car because I feel like the last administration was allowing illegal immigrants.

03:19:04 - 03:19:20 | Speaker 3:

Oh, see, no, no, no, no. We're not going to go there. We're not going there. We're not going to go there because I'm not going to go there because this has been happening way before even Biden was in office. And listen, I wasn't the biggest fan. But no, what I'm saying is this has been going on for way too long in our country. This has been going on way too long.

03:19:20 - 03:19:20 | Speaker 4:

That's the point.

03:19:20 - 03:19:59 | Speaker 3:

And the problem is the only way that we can control this is by us all standing up and saying enough is enough. If we are, as you know, and Kevin's right, we do have a voice as a radio show. And the problem is what we end up doing is we go and find the family, help them out, and get them in a home like we do at Breaking Entering Christmas Wish. that solves the problem for the few that we do help it doesn't solve the problem to continue to try to get you know have more people get helped and i do think that we as a show but also we as people listening to the show we need to sit there and say to ourselves what is wrong

03:20:00 - 03:20:41 | Speaker 1:

with the fact that we as a city have people living in a parking lot of a casino while people are going into that casino to throw crazy amounts of money out. You know what I mean? Like to me, that's that oxymoron. It just doesn't, it's just crazy. And nothing against, you know what, you got money, go gamble. And I'm sure the people that go in there and win money would love to help this woman out. They probably just didn't know that she was there, but I'm just saying in general that we got to have services that help these people. And if you are in government and you're taking money away from the Salvation Army that can have more beds for people to sleep in at night so that they're not out on the streets

03:20:41 - 03:20:45 | Speaker 2:

during a snowstorm, a goddamn snowstorm. Or the warming shelters or any of these.

03:20:45 - 03:22:14 | Speaker 1:

Take away money. Covenant house. Take away money from your trips to go to, you know, other outside of the country to go sit there and lobby for your supposedly business to come here. So, all right, we're going to take a break. We'll be right back. It's one of those things i should have brought this up at 6 a.m because we could have talked the entire show about it just a quick follow-up on what we were talking about just a little bit ago with the dropping the ball on these kids that uh tragically died in the van inside the parking lot at the casino. Um, couple of things I want to make you aware of Detroit rescue mission. I want to make you aware of if I can, just because they do such a great job, uh, awareness for them is so important to, uh, to be able to do the, uh, cast community, social services organization. Another one of those, if you need help, if you know, or you are somebody that's faced with this, where you're living out either on the streets or you're only living with family at night and you're out on the streets during the day because you just can't afford things. I've had so many of our listeners that tell me over the years that they're living in their cars, they're door dashing by day and living in their car at night just to try to survive. I mean, Jesus, we got to do something

03:22:14 - 03:22:35 | Speaker 2:

about this. Can I throw out one more website that has a really, really extensive list of all of these? DetroitMI.gov. It's the city of Detroit's website. It has all of the shelters, all of the warming centers that are listed in the detroit area just don't call them and ask for help because they may not right mi.gov well but at least at least for the warming centers in particular

03:22:35 - 03:23:31 | Speaker 1:

the addresses are right there and what do you do on a night like tonight when it's going to be crazy snow and we're going to get all this stuff yeah i mean we're talking you know this happens everywhere listen it ain't just detroit like we talked to the caller they called from west michigan but this is everywhere in the country that this is going on and it's one of those things where it ain't sexy you know what i mean homelessness is not sexy and then there's judging of people going well why are they homeless you know what i mean like well they can get a job people always say stuff like that you know what no matter what it might be the reason what their circumstances might be these are people you know what i mean like i um it's crazy uh i should by the way have gotten into it way earlier in the show. We got into a lot of stuff earlier in the show. If you missed it, we'll, of course, continue talking tomorrow about it. Is everybody going to be okay with this weather? We'll see. Fingers crossed. Are we all going to make it

03:23:31 - 03:23:38 | Speaker 2:

into work tomorrow? I think I'm going to leave my house an hour early. It takes me 20 minutes to get in. I feel like I can go super slow and not be stressed.

03:23:39 - 03:23:41 | Speaker 1:

Will the plows be out, you think,

03:23:41 - 03:23:48 | Speaker 2:

hopefully? They keep saying the bulk of the snow happening before 9 or 10 p.m. I'm hoping that... I don't know.

03:23:48 - 03:24:03 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to Toledo, and they're just getting sheets of ice. I'm so worried about it. Yeah, Toledo's going to be very, very icy. We're getting snow. It's going to be icy. They're expecting power outages and fallen trees with the weight of the ice. So be prepared, guys.

03:24:03 - 03:24:16 | Speaker 1:

We had that last week, and thank God it didn't get crazy with the power and stuff. So hopefully that will happen there, too. It will just be, maybe the snow won't happen. Maybe this is all, maybe we got the wrong forecast. Are we reading somebody else's forecast?

03:24:16 - 03:24:29 | Speaker 2:

I went to the grocery store last night just to get stuff for the kids' lunches. And, of course, people were stocking up on, like, you know, milk, bread, all the things. And there was one lady who was just piling her cart with wine. I'm like, that's my snow day.

03:24:29 - 03:24:30 | Speaker 1:

You know what the problem is?

03:24:30 - 03:24:31 | Speaker 2:

She's my girl.

03:24:31 - 03:24:45 | Speaker 1:

When we have all these bad weather days like this, we go to the store, buy all the stuff, and I eat it just nonstop, anticipating what's going to happen. Have a great one. 20-plus years of idiocy and still going in Detroit, Toledo, and West Michigan.

03:24:45 - 03:24:47 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the morning.
